New research is sounding the alarm on a widely used blood pressure drug, dihydropyridine calcium-channel blockers (DCCBs), especially for people with type 2 diabetes and kidney issues. A large study of over 31,000 patients found those taking DCCBs alongside kidney-protective drugs had a 33% higher risk of serious kidney decline.
