- 0:01How do you know if the Bible is really true? One of the
- 0:05most powerful things about the Bible is the fact that it is full of
- 0:09hundreds and hundreds of prophecies, some of which have been fulfilled
- 0:14in every detail and others that have not yet been fulfilled.
- 0:17Today we're going to unpack one of the major prophecies that
- 0:21we find in the Bible, and that prophecy is about
- 0:25the scattering of the Jews, the exile of the Jews who would be scattered
- 0:29first to Babylon in 586 BC,
- 0:33and then again another scattering, another exile in 70
- 0:37AD. And then from all of the
- 0:41scattering of all the nations in the world where they've been,
- 0:45and then from all the nations where they've been scattered, they would
- 0:49return to the land and soil of Israel.
- 0:53After being away for hundreds and hundreds of years. This is a
- 0:56major, major prophecy, and it's spoken of in multiple
- 1:00places throughout the Bible. We're going to unpack that today.
- 1:04Yes, the Bible is true. You can count on it.
- 1:07It is absolutely stellar, this prophecy.
- 1:11Listen in. Welcome to the Daily Audio Torah.
- 1:14Today is October 12th. Now let's continue our journey
- 1:18reading through the entire Bible in in one year. This week
- 1:22we are reading from the New Living Translation for the Old Testament and for the
- 1:25New Testament. Exodus 34:1-9.
- 1:32Then the Lord told Moses, Chisel out 2 stone tablets
- 1:36like the first ones. I will write on them the same words that were
- 1:40on the tablets you smashed. Be ready in the morning
- 1:43to climb up Mount Sinai and present yourself to me on the top of the
- 1:47mountain. No one else may come with you. In fact, no one is to
- 1:51appear anywhere on the mountain. Do not even let the flocks or
- 1:54herds graze near the mountain. So Moses chiseled
- 1:58out 2 tablets of stone like the first ones. Early in
- 2:02the morning he climbed Mount Sinai as the Lord had commanded him, and he
- 2:06carried the 2 stone tablets in his hands. Then the Lord
- 2:09came down in a cloud and stood there with him, and He called out His
- 2:13own name. Yahweh. The Lord passed
- 2:17in front of Moses calling out, Yahweh, the Lord,
- 2:20the compassion— the God of compassion and mercy. I am
- 2:24slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and
- 2:28faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand
- 2:32generations. I forgive iniquity,
- 2:35rebellion, and sin, but I do not excuse the
- 2:39guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and
- 2:43grandchildren. The entire family is affected,
- 2:46even children in the 3rd and 4th generations.
- 2:51Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshiped.
- 2:55And he said, O Lord, if it is true that I have found favor with
- 3:00you, then please travel with us. Yes,
- 3:03this is a stubborn and rebellious people, But please forgive
- 3:07our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as Your own special
- 3:11possession. The Lord replied,
- 3:15Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all
- 3:19your people. I will perform miracles that have never been
- 3:23performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation.
- 3:27And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord,
- 3:30the awesome power I will display Jeremiah
- 3:4019:1-21, 14.
- 3:44The Lord said to me, Jeremiah, go and buy a clay jar.
- 3:48Then ask some of the leaders of the people and of the priests to follow
- 3:52you. Go out into the Valley of the Son of Hinnom
- 3:56by the entrance to the Potsherd Gate and repeat
- 3:59to them the words that I give you. Say to them, Listen to this message
- 4:03from the Lord, you kings of Judah and citizens of Jerusalem.
- 4:07This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will bring
- 4:11such a terrible disaster on this place that the ears
- 4:14of those who hear about it will ring. For Israel has forsaken
- 4:18me and turned this valley into a place of wickedness.
- 4:22The people burn incense to foreign gods,
- 4:25idols never before worshiped by this generation.
- 4:28By their ancestors or by the kings of Judah,
- 4:31and they have filled this place with the blood of innocent children.
- 4:35They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they
- 4:40burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded
- 4:44such a horrible deed. It never even crossed my mind
- 4:48to command such a thing. So beware, for the time is coming,
- 4:52says the Lord, when this place will no longer be called Topheth
- 4:56or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom. But the Valley of Slaughter.
- 5:00For I will upset the battle plans of Judah and Jerusalem and
- 5:04let invading armies slaughter them. The enemy will leave
- 5:08the dead bodies as food for the vultures and wild animals.
- 5:12I will wipe Jerusalem from the face of the earth, making it a monument
- 5:16to their stupidity. All who pass by will be appalled and will
- 5:20gasp at the destruction they see there. I will see
- 5:24to it that your enemies lay siege to the city until all the
- 5:27food is gone. Then those trapped inside will have to eat their
- 5:31own sons and daughters and friends. They will be driven to utter despair.
- 5:36As these men watch, Jeremiah, smash the jar you brought
- 5:40with you. Then say to them, this is what the Lord Almighty says:
- 5:44As this jar lies shattered, so I will shatter the people of Judah and
- 5:49Jerusalem beyond all hope of repair.
- 5:53They will bury the bodies in Topheth until there is no more room.
- 5:57This is what I will do to this place and its people, says the Lord.
- 6:00I will cause this city to become defiled like Topheth.
- 6:04Yes, all the houses in Jerusalem, including the palace of Judah's
- 6:08kings, will become like Topheth. All the houses where you burned
- 6:13incense on the rooftops to your star gods and where drink offerings
- 6:17were Then Jeremiah
- 6:21returned from Topheth, where he had delivered this message,
- 6:24and he stopped in front of the Temple of the Lord. He said
- 6:29to the people there, This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel,
- 6:32says: I will bring disaster upon this city and
- 6:36its surrounding towns, just as I have promised. You have
- 6:39stubbornly refused to listen to me. Now Pashhur
- 6:44son of Immer, the priest in charge of the Temple of the Lord, heard what
- 6:48Jeremiah was saying. So he arrested Jeremiah the prophet and
- 6:51had him whipped and put in stocks at the Benjamin Gate
- 6:55of the Lord's Temple. The next day, when Pashhur finally released
- 6:59him, Jeremiah said, Pashhur, the Lord has changed your name.
- 7:03From now on, you are to be called the man who lives in terror.
- 7:07For this is what the Lord says: I will send terror upon
- 7:11you and all your friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered.
- 7:14By the swords of the enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over
- 7:18to the king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon or
- 7:22run them through with the sword. And I will let your enemies plunder Jerusalem.
- 7:27All the famed treasures of the city, the precious jewels and gold
- 7:31and silver of your kings, will be carried off to
- 7:35Babylon. As for you, Pashhur, you and all your
- 7:39household will go as captives to Babylon.
- 7:44There you will die and be buried, you and all your friends to
- 7:48whom you promised that everything would be all right. O Lord,
- 7:52you persuaded me, and I allowed myself to be persuaded.
- 7:56You are stronger than I am, and you overpowered me.
- 7:59Now I am mocked by everyone in the city.
- 8:02Whenever I speak, the words come out in a violent outburst.
- 8:06Violence and destruction! I shout. So these messages
- 8:09from the Lord have made me a household joke, and I can't stop.
- 8:14If I say I'll never mention the Lord or speak in His name, His Word
- 8:18burns in my heart like a fire. It's like a fire in my bones.
- 8:22I am weary of holding it in. I have heard
- 8:26the many rumors about me. They call me the man who lives in terror,
- 8:30and they say, if you say anything, we will report it.
- 8:33Even my old friends are watching me, waiting for a fatal slip.
- 8:38He will trap himself, they say, and then we will get our
- 8:41revenge on him. But the Lord stands beside me like a great
- 8:45warrior. Before him they will stumble. They cannot defeat
- 8:49me. They will be shamed and thoroughly humiliated. Their dishonor
- 8:54will never be forgotten. O Lord Almighty, you know those
- 8:58who are righteous, and you examine the deepest thoughts of hearts and minds.
- 9:02Let me see your vengeance against them, for I have committed my cause
- 9:06to you. Now I will sing out my thanks to the Lord.
- 9:09Praise the Lord! For though I was poor and needy, He delivered
- 9:13me from my oppressors. Yet I
- 9:17curse the day I was born. May the day of my birth not be
- 9:20blessed! I curse the messenger who told my father,
- 9:23Good news! You have a son! Let him be destroyed like the cities of
- 9:28old that the Lord overthrew without mercy. Terrify him all
- 9:31day long with battle shouts, for he did not kill me at birth.
- 9:35Oh, that I had died in my mother's womb, that her body had
- 9:39been my grave! Why was I ever born? My entire life
- 9:43has been filled with trouble, sorrow, and shame.
- 9:48The Lord spoke through Jeremiah when King Zedekiah sent Pashhur son
- 9:52of Malkijah and Zephaniah son of Maaseiah,
- 9:55the priest, to speak with him. They begged Jeremiah,
- 9:59Please ask the Lord to help us. King Nebuchadnezzar
- 10:03of Babylon has begun his attack on Judah.
- 10:06Perhaps the Lord will be gracious and do a mighty miracle, as He
- 10:10has done in the past. Perhaps He will force Nebuchadnezzar to withdraw
- 10:14his armies. Jeremiah replied, Go back to King Zedekiah
- 10:18and tell him, This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I
- 10:22will make your weapons useless against the king of
- 10:26Babylon and the Babylonians who are attacking you.
- 10:29Yes, I will bring your enemies right into the heart
- 10:32of this city. I myself will fight against you with great power,
- 10:36for I am very angry. You have made me
- 10:40furious. I will send a terrible plague upon this city, and both
- 10:44animals and people will die. And then the Lord says,
- 10:48even after King Zedekiah, his officials, and everyone else
- 10:52in the city have survived war, famine, and disease,
- 10:55I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. He will
- 10:59slaughter them all without mercy, pity, or compassion.
- 11:03Tell all the people, this is what the Lord says: Take
- 11:08your choice of life or death. Everyone who stays in Jerusalem will die
- 11:12from war, famine, or disease. But those who go out
- 11:16and surrender to the Babylonians will live. For I have decided
- 11:19to bring disaster and not good upon this city, says the Lord.
- 11:24It will be captured by the king of Babylon, and he will reduce it
- 11:28to ashes. Say to the royal family of Judah,
- 11:31Listen to this message from the Lord. This is what the Lord says
- 11:35to the dynasty of David: Give justice to the people you
- 11:39judge. Help those who have been robbed. Rescue them from
- 11:43their oppressors. Do what is right, or my anger
- 11:47will burn like an unquenchable fire Because of all your sins.
- 11:51I will fight against the city of Jerusalem that boasts,
- 11:55we are safe on our mountain. No one can touch us here. And I Myself
- 11:59will punish you for your sinfulness, says the Lord. I will light a fire
- 12:04in your forests that will burn up everything around you.
- 12:111 Thessalonians 5:4-28.
- 12:15But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters,
- 12:19and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief.
- 12:23For you are all children of the light and of the day.
- 12:27We don't belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard,
- 12:30not asleep like the others. Stay alert and
- 12:34be sober. Night is the time for sleep and the time when people
- 12:38get drunk. But let us who live in the light think clearly,
- 12:42protected by the body armor of faith and love, and wearing
- 12:46as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. For God decided
- 12:50to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to
- 12:53pour out His anger on us. He died for us so
- 12:56that we can live with Him forever, whether we are dead or
- 13:00alive at the time of His return. So encourage
- 13:04each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
- 13:08Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's
- 13:13work. They work hard among you and warn you against all
- 13:16that is wrong. Think highly of them and give them your
- 13:20wholehearted love because of their work. And remember to
- 13:23live peaceably with each other. Brothers and
- 13:27sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy,
- 13:31encourage those who are timid, take tender care of those
- 13:34who are weak, Be patient with everyone.
- 13:38See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always
- 13:41try to do good to each other and to everyone else.
- 13:45Always be joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what
- 13:50happens, always be thankful. For this
- 13:54is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
- 13:57Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff
- 14:01at prophecies. But test everything that is said. Hold on to what
- 14:06is good. Keep away from every kind of evil.
- 14:09Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way,
- 14:13and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless
- 14:18until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
- 14:22God who calls you is faithful. He will
- 14:26do this. Dear brothers and sisters,
- 14:29pray for us. Greet all the brothers and sisters in Christian
- 14:33love. I command you in the name of the Lord to read this letter
- 14:37to all the brothers and sisters. And may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
- 14:42be with you all.
- 14:46Psalm 82:1-8.
- 14:50God presides over heaven's court; he pronounces judgment
- 14:54on the judges. How long will you judges hand down unjust
- 14:59decisions? How long will you shower special favors
- 15:02on the wicked? Give fair judgments to the poor and the
- 15:06orphan. Uphold the rights of the oppressed and
- 15:10the destitute. Rescue the poor and helpless.
- 15:14Deliver them from the grasp of evil people. But these
- 15:17oppressors know nothing. They are so ignorant, and because
- 15:21they are in darkness, the whole world is shaken to the core.
- 15:25I say, you are gods and children of the Most High,
- 15:28but in death you are mere men. You will fall as
- 15:32any prince, for all must die. Rise up,
- 15:36O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong
- 15:40to you.
- 15:43Proverbs 25:9-10.
- 15:47So discuss the matter with them, your neighbors, privately,
- 15:50Don't tell anyone else, or others may accuse you of gossip.
- 15:54Then you will never regain your good reputation.
- 15:58I want to speak to you today from our reading from Jeremiah chapter
- 16:0320. And what's really always
- 16:07stunning and amazing and awesome
- 16:11to look at in the Word is how God brings forth prophecies and
- 16:15speaks them out through His prophets. And then hundreds
- 16:19of years later, the very specific prophecy is
- 16:23fulfilled and comes to pass. So I
- 16:26want to zoom in on a prophecy that Jeremiah gives to the
- 16:30nation of Israel in Jeremiah chapter
- 16:3420, starting in verse 4, and how this prophecy was fulfilled
- 16:39in every detail. In verse 4, he says, for this is
- 16:42what the Lord says, I will send terror upon you and all your
- 16:46friends, and you will watch as they are slaughtered by the swords of the
- 16:50enemy. I will hand the people of Judah over to the
- 16:54king of Babylon. He will take them captive to Babylon
- 16:58or rend them through with the sword. And I will let
- 17:02your enemies plunder Jerusalem. All the
- 17:06famed treasures of the city, the precious jewels
- 17:09and gold and silver of your kings, will be carried off to
- 17:16Babylon. So he's prophesying and he's warning, he's telling the
- 17:20people of Israel that unless they repent and turn away from their wicked ways
- 17:24and from their idolatry, that they're going to go into captivity
- 17:28to Babylon. And so now I want to add
- 17:32another scripture in there that gives us a timeline of how long will
- 17:37their exile to Babylon be. So in
- 17:41Jeremiah chapter 25, verses 11 and 12,
- 17:45it is written, and this whole land shall be a desolation
- 17:50and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve
- 17:54the king of Babylon for 70 years.
- 17:59So there's a timeline. There's a clock, a prophetic time clock,
- 18:03and God has said that they would go into captivity and into exile for
- 18:07exactly 70 years. Verse 12. And it shall come to
- 18:10pass, when 70 years are accomplished,
- 18:14that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation,
- 18:17says the Lord, for their iniquity and the land of the Chaldeans,
- 18:21and will make it perpetual desolations.
- 18:25And then He promises at the end of 70 years that
- 18:29they would return, that they would be able
- 18:32to go back to the land of Israel. So now follow
- 18:36me with this. In Daniel chapter 9,
- 18:40Daniel is in prayer for his people. He is in
- 18:44Babylon. He's one of the exiles that's been taken away to Babylon,
- 18:49and they've been gone for many, many, many years.
- 18:52So in Daniel chapter 9, verse 2, in the first year of his reign— that
- 18:58is King Darius— I Daniel understood by the books of the
- 19:02numbers of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah
- 19:06the prophet, that he would accomplish 70 years in
- 19:10the desolations of Jerusalem.
- 19:15And then I set my face toward the Lord God to make requests by
- 19:19prayer and supplications with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.
- 19:23So Daniel has an aha, and he realizes Oh,
- 19:28we're only supposed to be in exile for 70 years, and the 70 years are
- 19:32nearly up. He read the scripture that you and I just read
- 19:36in Jeremiah chapter 23,
- 19:39verses 7 and 8. Or actually,
- 19:44it was Jeremiah chapter 25,
- 19:48verses 10 and 11.
- 19:51So now, um, he begins to pray and intercede
- 19:55and ask that the Lord would bring it to pass that the time
- 19:59of exile would come to an end. But now there's another scripture
- 20:03I want to look at because even after they returned back to
- 20:07Jerusalem, then the Jewish people were expelled
- 20:12in 70 AD when the Roman General
- 20:15Titus came in and destroyed Jerusalem, burst through
- 20:19the walls, set the temple on fire, and either killed all of
- 20:23them or took them off into captivity to Rome.
- 20:26And the Jews were not allowed to return to Jerusalem
- 20:31on pain of death. And then began a second
- 20:35exile that lasted for hundreds and hundreds
- 20:38of years. They were exiled to all the nations of the earth.
- 20:42Many of them went up into Rome, up into Europe,
- 20:45across the ocean over to America, over into North
- 20:49Africa, All over the place they went,
- 20:53and they were exiled to all the nations.
- 20:56But in Exodus chapter—
- 21:01or in Deuteronomy chapter 30, there's another promise of another
- 21:05ingathering. There was the first exile to
- 21:09Babylon for 70 years and the second exile that happened in 70 AD
- 21:13with the Romans coming in. And they were exiled for hundreds
- 21:17and hundreds of years, and the Jews had no homeland.
- 21:21They lived in Europe, they lived in America, they lived all over the world.
- 21:25They had no homeland, and there was a lot of persecution
- 21:29and antisemitism and pogroms, crusades, all kinds
- 21:33of horrible things coming against the
- 21:37Jews. Now, in Deuteronomy 30:1-6
- 21:41is a tremendous promise that has been fulfilled in our lifetime.
- 21:46In Deuteronomy chapter 30, verse 1, now it shall come to pass
- 21:50when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse
- 21:53which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all
- 21:57the nations where the Lord your God drives you. Now that's a
- 22:01very interesting verse. This is Moses speaking to the people at the
- 22:05end of their 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, and now they're about to
- 22:08go cross the Jordan River and go into the Promised Land.
- 22:12And he says, in that moment, as he's speaking
- 22:16to them, when you remember the blessing and
- 22:20the curse, blessings for obedience, curses and judgments for disobedience,
- 22:24and you call them to mind among all the nations where
- 22:28the Lord your God has driven you. So Moses
- 22:33is looking down the corridor of time, and he sees this
- 22:37future time of Exodus where all the Jews are scattered to the nations
- 22:41of the earth. He's looking beyond the
- 22:4470-year exile in Babylon. He's looking further down the timeline
- 22:49to the second exile when Rome came in. Verse 2,
- 22:53and you return to the Lord your God and obey his voice
- 22:58according to all that I command you today, you and your children,
- 23:01with all your heart and with all your soul. He's saying there's going to come
- 23:04a day when you return to the Lord your God. Verse 3,
- 23:08that the Lord your God will bring you back from
- 23:11captivity and have compassion on you and gather
- 23:15you again from all the nations where
- 23:19the Lord your God has scattered you. So he's talking about
- 23:23the second time of being exiled, not the
- 23:27first time, because the first time they went to one place,
- 23:31Babylon. The second time that Jerusalem
- 23:34and Israel was invaded and conquered, They went to all the nations
- 23:38of the earth, and that's the exile that he's talking about, that he's
- 23:42speaking to and prophesying to. He says, you're going to be gathered again from
- 23:46all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.
- 23:50Verse 4, if any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven,
- 23:54from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will bring
- 23:58you. Then the Lord your God will
- 24:01bring you to the land which your fathers possessed,
- 24:05and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply
- 24:09you more than your fathers.
- 24:13How has that been fulfilled? On May 14th,
- 24:161948, the nation of Israel was reborn out
- 24:21of the ashes of the Holocaust. The nation
- 24:25was reborn. And in Ezekiel,
- 24:34Um, this is another, uh, slant or
- 24:38perspective on how this prophecy of the ingathering of the
- 24:41Jews from all the nations of the earth would one
- 24:45day be accomplished, that they would be ingathered and they would return
- 24:49to the land. It says in Ezekiel chapter
- 24:5337— remember now, this is when Ezekiel is looking at a big valley
- 24:57filled with dry dead bones and they're all scattered throughout
- 25:01the valley. And then God tells him to prophesy to these bones that they would
- 25:05assemble, that they would be put together,
- 25:08that they would have flesh and sinew and muscle and skin.
- 25:13And in verse 12, it says, therefore prophesy and say to them,
- 25:16that is the bones, thus says the Lord God, behold, O my people,
- 25:21I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves
- 25:25and bring you into into the land of Israel.
- 25:30And this literally has been fulfilled. The Jews were scattered
- 25:35to all the nations of the earth, and then the Holocaust occurred back
- 25:39in the 1940s. 6 million Jews were murdered,
- 25:42were slaughtered in the German ovens.
- 25:46But out of that, on May 14th,
- 25:511948, the nation of Israel was reborn, and the
- 25:55Jews could now make Aliyah and go to their homeland.
- 25:58And be safe and protected, that it's a Jewish state,
- 26:02the one and only Jewish state. This is a miracle.
- 26:06Normally, when a nation and a people are scattered to all the nations
- 26:10of the earth, they forget their identity, they forget their language,
- 26:15they forget everything about who they are as a people, and they usually get
- 26:18assimilated into the culture where they're living.
- 26:22And yet God was able to protect and preserve the Jewish
- 26:26people, their identity, and their culture, He revived the dead
- 26:30language of Hebrew and brought it back to life again, and their
- 26:34identity was protected. So that's
- 26:38yet another prophecy about the Jews returning to the land of Israel,
- 26:43and we've seen it here in our lifetime, May 14th,
- 26:451948. Here's another prophecy about the miraculous
- 26:50rebirth of the nation of Israel. In Isaiah chapter 66,
- 26:54starting in verse 7, Before she was in labor, she gave
- 26:58birth. Before her pain came, she delivered a male
- 27:01child. I believe that's referring to Jesus,
- 27:05that he was born. Now verse 8,
- 27:09who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things?
- 27:12Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day,
- 27:15or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon
- 27:19as Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children. Now I
- 27:24think this is, um, sometimes prophecies are fulfilled
- 27:27in part, partially, and then they're fulfilled again.
- 27:31It's called a double fulfillment. And I believe
- 27:36this has been partially fulfilled, but not in all of the fullness.
- 27:39The fullness of this prophecy has not yet happened. So shall
- 27:44a nation be born at once in one day? Yes,
- 27:47the nation of Israel was born in one day on May 14th,
- 27:511948. It was a miracle. And within 24 hours,
- 27:55she was at war with all of the Arab hostile Arab nations around
- 27:59her who attacked her immediately. So we have seen the partial
- 28:03fulfillment of this prophecy, but it has not
- 28:07been fulfilled in all of its fullness. So Israel is still a
- 28:12secular nation. It's not Zion, Zion being the biblical
- 28:16Zion. So there's more of that to be
- 28:19unfolded. And finally, one more
- 28:23prophecy I'll share about the ingathering of the Jews and bringing
- 28:27them back to the land, that it was prophesied and then God has fulfilled
- 28:31it. Jeremiah 23:7-8,
- 28:34Therefore behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that they
- 28:38shall no longer say, As the Lord lives, who brought up the children of Israel
- 28:41from the land of Egypt. That's referring back to the first
- 28:44Exodus when the Jews left Egypt,
- 28:49the very first Passover. But verse 8,
- 28:52as the Lord lives, who brought up and led the descendants of
- 28:56the house of Israel from the north country and from all the countries where I
- 29:00have driven them, and they shall dwell in their own
- 29:05land. So God scattered them,
- 29:11exiled them, but He also promised that
- 29:15He would ingather them and bring them back to the land of Israel.
- 29:19And so He's kept His word. It's amazing
- 29:23to see how this prophecy has been fulfilled.
- 29:28All right, that's all I have for today. Have a blessed day, and we will
- 29:31see you tomorrow. Shalom.
- 29:34Yevrekka Adonai,
- 29:45v'ishmerekka
- 29:52Yahweh Adonai.
- 30:00And now we look up,
- 30:04we connect.
- 30:10Yes, I don't know.
- 30:16Now here we come,
- 30:21we say, look up.
- 30:37The Aaronic Blessing from Numbers chapter 6,
- 30:4024 to 26.
- 30:44Adonai bless you and keep you.
- 30:47Adonai make his face to shine upon you and be gracious
- 30:51to you. Adonai lift up his countenance upon
- 30:55you and give you peace.
