- 0:05Speaker 1: Hi, my love. It is La La Kent. Welcome back
- 0:08Speaker 1: to the bonus episode of Give Them La La, I
- 0:11Speaker 1: Have my Brain and Have My Heart. Easton Birmingham and
- 0:17Speaker 1: Jessica Walter. Hell, I'm excited about today's podcast. But before
- 0:23Speaker 1: we jump into it, I just got word from producer
- 0:26Speaker 1: John that Lamar Odom and Caitlin Jenner have started a
- 0:31Speaker 1: podcast together about sports. What an odd pairing, but a
- 0:36Speaker 1: little bit here for it.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Didn't they get along pretty well when he was with Chloe? Yeah?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Did they? I don't know because I didn't really watch
- 0:46Speaker 1: keeping coming up.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I think they did it. Immediately I gasped. I was like, WHOA,
- 0:51Speaker 2: that's wild. But now that I think about it, I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure they were closer.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I think it's just weird that they're both talking about sports.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I think I find it weird why Caitlyn Jenner is
- 1:03Speaker 1: a Olympic list.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, gold medal winner.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Be like, I feel like it's the perfect pairing. Oh,
- 1:12Speaker 1: you can talk about Laura.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Odam talking about sports.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It's just crazy that the only thing that I've ever
- 1:17Speaker 4: seen of keeping up with the Kardashians is Kaitlin flying RC.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Cars and planes.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I feel like Caitlyn Jenner just was running around like
- 1:31Speaker 1: doing dad stuff. Yeah, you know, yeah, like she was
- 1:36Speaker 1: a very hands on dat. Yeah. So now it's I
- 1:42Speaker 1: think it makes sense.
- 1:43Speaker 3: It makes sense.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You're like the ultimate athlete if you've won Olympic gold medals.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Yes, I wonder the sports they're going Are they to
- 1:51Speaker 2: do all the sports? Obviously basketball, obviously.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Covering the Olympics that are coming up soon? Right, aren't
- 1:58Speaker 1: they coming up soon? Summer Olympics?
- 2:00Speaker 4: Probably the reason why they maybe started it. That's a
- 2:03Speaker 4: pretty good kick right here.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That's a great kick off.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I wonder how the Kardashian family feels about it.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I don't think they give a shit.
- 2:09Speaker 1: They're never gonna tell us. No, they're so buttoned up, we'll.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Never know or you know what. More importantly, and is
- 2:16Speaker 2: Kendall and Kylie, because that is still Caitlin's still their dad.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So I'm interested, I guess am I I don't know.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I don't know that I'm interested in.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Listen now, when we leave here, I won't be there.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm interested in the fact that it's happening. Will I
- 2:31Speaker 1: be tuning in? I only listen to the Give Them
- 2:33Speaker 1: La La podcast. Same and dateline. Okay, Jessica, Yes, what
- 2:39Speaker 1: is our topic for today? And I hope we got
- 2:41Speaker 1: lots of writing.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a very interesting writing. So our prompt for
- 2:47Speaker 2: today you guys, which you can find on the Give
- 2:51Speaker 2: Them Lalla podcast Instagram and well let's give them all
- 2:56Speaker 2: a pod, but we post them a lot you guys
- 2:58Speaker 2: write in and then we read this as part of
- 3:00Speaker 2: the bonus episode. It is how will you know when
- 3:04Speaker 2: you have quote made it?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Oh? This is such a good question, also so hard
- 3:10Speaker 1: because I feel like there's so many different points of
- 3:14Speaker 1: like when you know you've made it? Right?
- 3:18Speaker 2: I have a specific list. How do you guys? You
- 3:21Speaker 2: sound like you have like do you feel like you've
- 3:23Speaker 2: made it?
- 3:24Speaker 1: Okay? So Stossey has this app My Human Design, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: she basically she it's like the first thing she asks
- 3:38Speaker 1: people is like, what's your human design? You can be
- 3:40Speaker 1: a manifestor a projector there's like a bunch of others
- 3:44Speaker 1: and so she said, I am a projector you or
- 3:48Speaker 1: her me.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Okay, I was gonna say you were what you manifest.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So it's deeper than that. It's deeper when you look
- 3:57Speaker 1: into like I manifest, but my human design is projector
- 4:02Speaker 1: so and I also project after my trauma, I projected
- 4:05Speaker 1: a lot, I manifest project, I do all the things.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But as far as human design, I'm a projector in
- 4:10Speaker 1: the sense that there's a piece of that design that
- 4:14Speaker 1: I feel at peace and know I'm on the right
- 4:18Speaker 1: path when I have success. So what does success mean?
- 4:23Speaker 1: When I look at something and I say that was
- 4:27Speaker 1: successful for me. I like knowing that my income is
- 4:34Speaker 1: a coming. We all do. It takes a lot of
- 4:36Speaker 1: stress off. But like my mother, for example, when she
- 4:40Speaker 1: thought about what she wanted to do with her life,
- 4:43Speaker 1: she worked at the dental office as a receptionist because
- 4:46Speaker 1: they only worked four days a week. That's okay, goal,
- 4:49Speaker 1: that was her goal. And she's very into like numbers
- 4:53Speaker 1: and saving and like she's very smart with money. But
- 4:57Speaker 1: to talk to her, she's not like I I want
- 5:01Speaker 1: millions of dollars in the bank and I want to
- 5:04Speaker 1: fly on private jets and have the nicest of nicest cars.
- 5:07Speaker 1: It's just like she doesn't care. She is very grounded.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So I don't really know. I sound really shitty when
- 5:17Speaker 1: I say how I know I've made it?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Well, why don't we just be honest? And then because
- 5:22Speaker 2: authenticity is going to be great.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Okay.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I found out that a lot of people like it
- 5:28Speaker 3: when you're more authentic.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Yeah, well, that's why people really have a strong opinion
- 5:34Speaker 1: about me. They either love me or really don't like me.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Because I don't have time to be a calculated motherfucker,
- 5:39Speaker 1: because I just I find that I have made it.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I do not feel like I have made it yet,
- 5:46Speaker 1: you don't know. I feel very proud of where I am,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and there's a lot of things that I've done in
- 5:50Speaker 1: my life that I'm proud of. I don't know that
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'll ever feel that I have made it. I want big,
- 5:58Speaker 1: extravagant things. That's just who I am. Ultimately, I want
- 6:03Speaker 1: to be happy, but I feel like we're there. I'm happy,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we're healthy. So the overall, what do you want out
- 6:09Speaker 1: of life? I want to be happy and I want
- 6:10Speaker 1: to be healthy, and I want people around me to
- 6:12Speaker 1: be happy and healthy. But as far as when have
- 6:14Speaker 1: you made it? When I can say I'm flying to
- 6:17Speaker 1: Italy private and staying in a villa and I don't
- 6:20Speaker 1: give a fuck how much it costs, and I'm taking
- 6:22Speaker 1: all my fronts.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's an answer. Okay, Okay, yes, that's your honest answer.
- 6:27Speaker 1: That's great when I don't have to think about.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It, Okay, finances, when you don't have to think about
- 6:32Speaker 2: your finances.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But you always have to do. Everyone is always on
- 6:36Speaker 1: a budget, no matter what. But when I can say,
- 6:40Speaker 1: we're going here at this time because I need to
- 6:42Speaker 1: get away, book the hotel that I want, someone fuel
- 6:46Speaker 1: the jet and charter it and call the company this
- 6:49Speaker 1: is what I want on the jet. Let's invite Tom
- 6:51Speaker 1: Dick and Harry and Harry Dick and tell them not
- 6:54Speaker 1: to worry about it because I'm fronting the bill. That's
- 6:57Speaker 1: I know I've made it. We're not there yet.
- 7:00Speaker 2: There's that's a lot of answers, by the way, that's
- 7:02Speaker 2: so many people's answers that makes sense.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I feel like it took a giant shit again. Well
- 7:07Speaker 1: there you go. I'm just pure, just.
- 7:12Speaker 2: As you should.
- 7:13Speaker 1: When do you think you've made it?
- 7:14Speaker 3: T T I don't know.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I mean I said that the fun answer, like you said,
- 7:20Speaker 5: like there's things like I yes, I do want to
- 7:24Speaker 5: pay for the jet, the villain, all of those things,
- 7:26Speaker 5: But I don't know if I because to me, you've
- 7:30Speaker 5: made it, you want more, But like you've made it,
- 7:34Speaker 5: so like that's for me, like in a happy standpoint,
- 7:37Speaker 5: like for me right now, like I don't feel like
- 7:38Speaker 5: I've made it.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I feel like I'm on a good path thanks to.
- 7:40Speaker 4: The people around me and putting me in in the
- 7:42Speaker 4: position to succeed.
- 7:44Speaker 1: But you also have to take credit at some point
- 7:46Speaker 1: for where you are and what you do it.
- 7:48Speaker 4: And that's and that's where I'm getting is I am
- 7:50Speaker 4: starting to take credit for little things that I've done
- 7:53Speaker 4: because what I've done is kept me here and it's
- 7:55Speaker 4: not just I'm here.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So that makes sense.
- 7:58Speaker 4: And so now I'm to the point of I'm getting
- 8:00Speaker 4: close to where I'm I feel like I will make it.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I'm happy, I'm very happy.
- 8:05Speaker 4: But I want more, but I feel like i've made it,
- 8:08Speaker 4: Like I'm I have amazing friends, family, There's nothing that
- 8:11Speaker 4: I can look at where I'm like, Damn, I haven't
- 8:13Speaker 4: made it. You know, obviously we all want to pay
- 8:15Speaker 4: for the things, but like that to me, like, isn't
- 8:18Speaker 4: you made it?
- 8:19Speaker 3: That actually made it?
- 8:20Speaker 1: That actually I do understand what you're saying. So I
- 8:24Speaker 1: don't know that I'll ever feel like I've made it,
- 8:27Speaker 1: because Okay, once you can charter the jets. Well then
- 8:30Speaker 1: you're like, I'm the type of person where I'm like,
- 8:31Speaker 1: all right, we've accomplished it, let's move on to the next. Well,
- 8:34Speaker 1: now I want to own my own jets. So now
- 8:36Speaker 1: I got to get to a point where we're making
- 8:38Speaker 1: so much money that you can afford one hundred and
- 8:40Speaker 1: fifty million dollars on an aircraft. So that's that's But
- 8:44Speaker 1: I don't want people to take that as nothing is
- 8:47Speaker 1: ever enough, because I feel happy. I just really enjoy
- 8:52Speaker 1: setting goals and accomplishing them.
- 8:54Speaker 4: And the one thing that I've I got from all
- 8:56Speaker 4: of that was you wanting to do it for people.
- 8:59Speaker 3: That's what I got.
- 9:00Speaker 4: When you're bringing Tom's Harry Dick and shit, Yeah, that's
- 9:04Speaker 4: where it's just like you don't care for it for you.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It's the giving back that's huge too. That I caught.
- 9:09Speaker 1: If I could afford to make it so that all
- 9:12Speaker 1: my friends didn't have to work and they could all
- 9:14Speaker 1: payroll and ye put them on payroll and they could
- 9:16Speaker 1: just like we could all create and do all that
- 9:18Speaker 1: shit together.
- 9:19Speaker 3: That's what they made. It have to be with me
- 9:21Speaker 3: all the time, Okay, that's when I made it.
- 9:24Speaker 4: That's when I'll say I made it when I'm with
- 9:26Speaker 4: everybody that I'm I love my friends, my family, and
- 9:30Speaker 4: we're just doing we're just creating in a room and
- 9:33Speaker 4: nothing else matters.
- 9:34Speaker 3: That's when I can look and me all right, I
- 9:36Speaker 3: made like.
- 9:36Speaker 1: We're all eating good bills are Yeah, we're.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Not worried about money. We may I don't care where
- 9:41Speaker 4: I'm living, what it is. I'm not saying I need
- 9:43Speaker 4: a home that's ten thousand square feet and X amount.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Like I can live in a one bedroom apartment and
- 9:48Speaker 4: I can still look and go I made it, Yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 4: because I feel very happy and things like that. But
- 9:52Speaker 4: that is one thing that I do when I will
- 9:54Speaker 4: make it. Yeah, homies on Payroll, that's amaking.
- 9:58Speaker 1: That is a make it homies on. I made a
- 10:01Speaker 1: new friend.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Adam did the parable, So that's make it.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I mean, you both sound like you're saying the same thing.
- 10:09Speaker 2: We're at the end of the day. The overall is
- 10:11Speaker 2: you've made it when you can enjoy life with the
- 10:13Speaker 2: people you love.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And not have to worry about any anything else.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Money.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Yeah, money, I mean money, that's when you made it.
- 10:21Speaker 3: It sounds fucking money.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Why it's not shitty though, That's the truth. I'm like
- 10:26Speaker 2: when people say you say it all the time, people
- 10:28Speaker 2: are like, money can't buy you happiness. We'll tell that
- 10:30Speaker 2: to someone with no money who's stressed all the time
- 10:32Speaker 2: and can't pay their.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Bills, and like, no, it's so true.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I'm sure they'd be a lot happier.
- 10:38Speaker 1: If they had some money. Yes, yeah, like if minimum
- 10:42Speaker 1: wage was up to bit because I'm out on these
- 10:44Speaker 1: streets working my ass.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Off, yes, and no time for people.
- 10:47Speaker 1: No exactly. But if you're a rich person and miserable,
- 10:51Speaker 1: then like something's on you. But we're happy over here, Yes,
- 10:56Speaker 1: we're so happy. What's what about you?
- 10:59Speaker 3: Jess?
- 10:59Speaker 2: I had a specific list for a while and then
- 11:03Speaker 2: literally two weeks ago in therapy, my therapist pressed me
- 11:06Speaker 2: on the list and she was like because I was like,
- 11:09Speaker 2: I'm someone who I know when I've made it, and
- 11:11Speaker 2: this was my list. I said, when I feel comfortable financially,
- 11:16Speaker 2: like in my bank account, where if my family or
- 11:20Speaker 2: friends needed help, I'd say, what do you need? I
- 11:22Speaker 2: got you always, I know, Yes, I said, when I
- 11:27Speaker 2: can have a couple, or when I can have a
- 11:31Speaker 2: house that I'm comfortable in with my family, Kyle, a child,
- 11:34Speaker 2: don't have to worry about paying for schools, and then
- 11:37Speaker 2: some investment properties some money.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Again, yes it's money.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And then I said my third was always when I
- 11:44Speaker 2: can every day do something that fulfills me to make
- 11:50Speaker 2: the money, but that I think is going to change
- 11:53Speaker 2: the warld world, change people like it's the purpose thing
- 11:56Speaker 2: that we talked about, saying that.
- 12:00Speaker 4: If I'm on my deathbed and things like that, it's
- 12:02Speaker 4: like the creed. Did I leave something for that?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:05Speaker 2: Right, yes, so I'm still there. But I think my
- 12:09Speaker 2: therapist was she just pressed me on specifics and she
- 12:11Speaker 2: was like, like an amount, give me an amount about
- 12:14Speaker 2: like your bank account and give me a okay, investment properties?
- 12:17Speaker 2: How many? And she was like, okay, so you think
- 12:19Speaker 2: you're gonna have one house and you're not gonna want
- 12:21Speaker 2: another one eventually. And I was like, no, You're like
- 12:24Speaker 2: you're pressing me on these things. She's like, what about
- 12:26Speaker 2: for your parents when they're old? And I'm like, you're
- 12:28Speaker 2: so right. So it's hard when I'm saying I made
- 12:32Speaker 2: it with things, because that's true. I don't think. I
- 12:36Speaker 2: think you get to a certain point, but then, like
- 12:39Speaker 2: you said, you can say, oh, I've made it, but
- 12:40Speaker 2: then it's like what's next.
- 12:42Speaker 1: So I don't know, it's weird, but I think making
- 12:44Speaker 1: it and accomplishing happiness are very different things.
- 12:47Speaker 2: They are, yeah, or or are they supposed to be
- 12:50Speaker 2: the same, Like are people like us supposed to be?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Like?
- 12:52Speaker 3: I really want to see what other people are saying
- 12:54Speaker 3: to Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It's literally the first one I'm seeing when I'm as
- 13:00Speaker 2: rich as the Kardashian's crying, laughing face.
- 13:03Speaker 1: They men fish, These are really sweet.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Though, when I'm able to not panic that I've got
- 13:10Speaker 2: enough money for rent, smiley face, I get you, there.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Is We've all been there. We have all been there.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yeah, this too shall pass.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Remember that though, and I'll just so you guys have
- 13:23Speaker 2: an idea. I'll go on to the other ones. But
- 13:25Speaker 2: when I don't have to save money from savings, take
- 13:29Speaker 2: money firm savings to pay bills, So it's all when
- 13:32Speaker 2: I can live comfortably without worrying about paying bills, when
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm not living check to check like it's all money.
- 13:38Speaker 2: It's just like, but it's money, it's so much deeper.
- 13:40Speaker 2: We just want time and we don't have time when
- 13:43Speaker 2: we have to work our asses off to afford living.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And it's a.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Very financial freedom.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yes, it's a very weird thing, but let me move
- 13:51Speaker 2: on to the other ones. Because it's all money, money, money,
- 13:55Speaker 2: well and.
- 13:56Speaker 1: This, but it's it's just a fact of life. If
- 14:00Speaker 1: I want to go and enjoy my friends and I
- 14:03Speaker 1: want to do something fun, how can I do that.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I can go miniature golfing, I could go to a movie.
- 14:11Speaker 1: But like my mom said, all these things cost money.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Let's say we don't go out. Well, guess what. Now,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm sitting home and I'm turning the lights on and
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm using my gas and all of that still contributes
- 14:22Speaker 1: to somewhere someone's billing me. Someone's billing me for something,
- 14:26Speaker 1: whether it's the takeout, whether it's the lights being on
- 14:29Speaker 1: longer than they would be, stove being on. So really,
- 14:33Speaker 1: what people are saying is when I when I get
- 14:36Speaker 1: to go enjoy my life and Uncle Sam or whoever
- 14:40Speaker 1: the fuck isn't banging, you need to pay me for
- 14:43Speaker 1: those twelve breaths you tuck yesterday. Also because you only
- 14:47Speaker 1: paid for one hundred and seventy five thousand, but you
- 14:51Speaker 1: took twelve extra. Literally, and living in la is a
- 14:54Speaker 1: real bitch because it's like, oh, you need to go
- 14:58Speaker 1: get groceries, or you need to run into the well,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you need to pay for parking, and you need to
- 15:03Speaker 1: do X, Y and z. It's a lot of fucking
- 15:05Speaker 1: shit that they are charging us for.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Yes, I'll be hoofing it. Yes, I'll be hoofing it.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Like of course most of us want to travel with
- 15:12Speaker 2: the ones we love and see the world and like
- 15:15Speaker 2: live these of course we want to do that. Well,
- 15:17Speaker 2: of course we want to buy houses and own land
- 15:19Speaker 2: and like, but we've got to work. It's a weird country,
- 15:22Speaker 2: it's a weird world.
- 15:24Speaker 4: And just to like hear them and they're like taking
- 15:26Speaker 4: money from savings to pay bills and all of that.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Like I can put myself in there because I've woke
- 15:30Speaker 4: You wake up and you can't have a good day.
- 15:34Speaker 3: That's the first thing you think about.
- 15:35Speaker 4: And now the human that you are is buried under
- 15:39Speaker 4: the problems that you have. Yeah, so now you're not
- 15:41Speaker 4: even seeing the authentic person because of these bills that
- 15:43Speaker 4: are going on. So no money is really you see
- 15:47Speaker 4: a lot of people and who they truly are When
- 15:49Speaker 4: they have money too, you can see if they're a
- 15:50Speaker 4: piece of shit or if they are a good human being.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Yes, real quick.
- 15:54Speaker 1: That's so true.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Okay, this one is when you're truly happy to wake
- 15:58Speaker 2: up every day. I think that works into a lot
- 16:01Speaker 2: of like purpose and.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That's just sheer fulfillment. I love that person. Yeah, it again, when.
- 16:09Speaker 2: When you're truly happy to wake up every day, So
- 16:12Speaker 2: that could be who knows is this person struggling with
- 16:14Speaker 2: depression anxiety? There are those things too where it's like
- 16:17Speaker 2: I don't want to struggle with depression or anxiety anymore.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I think it's important that we point out that there
- 16:22Speaker 1: have been a lot of people in the world who
- 16:24Speaker 1: are worth a ton of money and they've taken their
- 16:29Speaker 1: own lives exactly. They're struggling with addiction. Like money is
- 16:35Speaker 1: not the cure all. Let's make that very very clear.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Like life still happens, and you could be the richest
- 16:42Speaker 1: person on the planet and your mind can still get
- 16:45Speaker 1: to you. So I love that person saying when you
- 16:47Speaker 1: wake up and you feel complete in all areas of
- 16:50Speaker 1: your life, that's a good feeling, and that is a
- 16:54Speaker 1: feeling of I've made it. Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah, let me ask you guys a question. You wake
- 16:59Speaker 2: up to my no, social media. Social media is gone.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Money doesn't work. We're all in the same boat. Do
- 17:07Speaker 2: you think this is like.
- 17:10Speaker 1: We're all in the same boat and everyone's on equal
- 17:13Speaker 1: playing fields.
- 17:13Speaker 2: We're all in the wild?
- 17:15Speaker 1: Now, oh the wild? Am I having a hunt for
- 17:18Speaker 1: my own food?
- 17:19Speaker 2: We're not in the same boat? If it's like, yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 2: we you know, like we can't use money anymore, but
- 17:24Speaker 2: like I still have my house and my problem, you
- 17:26Speaker 2: know what I'm saying.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But I'm in a little apartment.
- 17:28Speaker 2: We're in the wild. Oh, it's kind of like Triangle
- 17:31Speaker 2: of Sadness. Did you guys ever see that movie?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Oh? Okay, why an't it be like everyone's everyone lives
- 17:36Speaker 1: in the same house, the same kind of house. Perfect,
- 17:39Speaker 1: everyone gets If if Susan wants a steak for dinner,
- 17:43Speaker 1: she can have a steak for dinner. If Jim wants caviar,
- 17:46Speaker 1: you can have caviar, and Susan, if you want caviar after,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you can just have caviar after. We're all on equal
- 17:51Speaker 1: playing field living a good life.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yes, how are we so imagine that? Are we still
- 17:57Speaker 2: all going to find problems or are we? Do you
- 17:59Speaker 2: think majority more of us are going to be happy?
- 18:02Speaker 1: I think we're all going to be I mean, you
- 18:05Speaker 1: go first.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I'm gonna be happy.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I'm going to fall in a lot of faults with
- 18:09Speaker 4: the motherfuckers in the in the woods though, I'm gonna
- 18:11Speaker 4: be like this guy.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I don't like him anymore in the woods in the woods.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm going to be looking across at my exact
- 18:18Speaker 4: same house and going that guy in there, I don't
- 18:20Speaker 4: like him.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Energy energy.
- 18:22Speaker 2: It's just going to be different problems, I think.
- 18:24Speaker 4: Very different problems waking up like this fucking guy, not
- 18:28Speaker 4: my fucking bank account.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's interesting.
- 18:31Speaker 4: No, I think then those are the problems that you'll find, like, Uh,
- 18:35Speaker 4: we're human beings.
- 18:37Speaker 1: We thrive off of finding an issue.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And guess what. Then when it's not with us, it's
- 18:40Speaker 2: going to be someone something else, it's gonna be Oh
- 18:43Speaker 2: my god, is my kid happy? Is my mom happy?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Is my dad happy? This person said, when you don't
- 18:48Speaker 2: have to second guess your child's happiness, do you feel
- 18:50Speaker 2: that because I don't have a child, that's a good one.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not there yet. I I have a toddler
- 18:57Speaker 1: who's just thrilled to like when I tell her, when
- 19:01Speaker 1: I give her a vitamin, when she sees the Mary
- 19:07Speaker 1: Ruth's vitamin thing come out and she thinks because they
- 19:10Speaker 1: taste good. But kids are all about the name. You know,
- 19:14Speaker 1: it's like it's a vitamin. I don't like vitamins. But if
- 19:17Speaker 1: I tell her it's candy, like she thinks she just
- 19:20Speaker 1: hit the lottery, you know, twist in it, like she
- 19:25Speaker 1: wants a snack and I bring her veggie straws and
- 19:28Speaker 1: she wasn't expecting them. Or he's so cute, you know.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yes, so she's yes, she's like there.
- 19:38Speaker 4: We go into school and things like that where you're
- 19:42Speaker 4: not with them in the morning and then they could
- 19:44Speaker 4: be bullying or getting bullied at school. That's when you're like,
- 19:47Speaker 4: all right, I really hope my kid is happy today.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Well by the way that, yeah, that would that would
- 19:52Speaker 1: take me out. But it's weird because when you think
- 19:55Speaker 1: about like I've made it, you usually hear it when
- 19:58Speaker 1: like someone's reached like the promotion that they wanted, or
- 20:02Speaker 1: they they entered the level of fame that they wanted,
- 20:06Speaker 1: Like I made it, So that to me already puts
- 20:11Speaker 1: like the level of money into the equation. But my
- 20:16Speaker 1: mom always said, you're only as happy as your most
- 20:20Speaker 1: unhappy child. You're only as happy as your most unhappy child.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I've heard that, so like, if you have all the
- 20:27Speaker 1: kids thriving and you've got one who's not, like, that's
- 20:30Speaker 1: the level that you're at. And I don't know what
- 20:32Speaker 1: Ocean is going to be. Like, Ocean seems very resilient.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I watch her in dance class, and there are times
- 20:37Speaker 1: where she tries to hug this little girl and she
- 20:39Speaker 1: pushes her off. She doesn't want Ocean hugging her, and
- 20:42Speaker 1: Ocean twirls still. You know, I want to take note
- 20:46Speaker 1: from Ocean because I posted this video where she was
- 20:49Speaker 1: spinning at dance class and then she ate ship. I
- 20:52Speaker 1: saw that hard, like rolled like a potato, and I
- 20:57Speaker 1: was such a bad mom. I felt such a bad
- 20:59Speaker 1: mom for life, laughing my ass off.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And by the way, by the way.
- 21:03Speaker 1: The rest of the class it was raining, so it
- 21:07Speaker 1: was just her that day. But I was watching the
- 21:09Speaker 1: video over and over again, laughing so hard. I can
- 21:12Speaker 1: only imagine what the woman who was working in the
- 21:14Speaker 1: front desk thought of me cackling in this. But as
- 21:20Speaker 1: I watched the video again, I'm like, wait, I didn't
- 21:23Speaker 1: even give it a moment to watch my kid get
- 21:26Speaker 1: back up and start spinning. Again. I mean she was
- 21:30Speaker 1: a little bit service, but I'm like, wow, you just
- 21:35Speaker 1: taught me like this literally is when you fall get
- 21:38Speaker 1: back up again like this, you are a five star kid. Yes,
- 21:44Speaker 1: but again, she's Pisces and Pisces so she knows who
- 21:47Speaker 1: she is already. She ain't got nothing to figure out. Yeah,
- 21:50Speaker 1: but we'll see what the next one. She's wild. But
- 21:53Speaker 1: my kids, my kid's happy right now.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the next one is not. I mean, we know
- 21:58Speaker 2: what it it might be, but it's not going to
- 22:00Speaker 2: be a Pisces. We know that to be true.
- 22:03Speaker 1: We know that to be true. But I've already said
- 22:04Speaker 1: we're either going to have a Leo or a Virgo
- 22:06Speaker 1: and people are like, well, that's such a big The
- 22:08Speaker 1: thing is Ocean was supposed to be in Aries and
- 22:11Speaker 1: they induced me three weeks early. So she's a Pisces. Yea,
- 22:14Speaker 1: So I say that because I don't really know. They're
- 22:17Speaker 1: clearly not going to let me go into Libra season. Yes, yes,
- 22:21Speaker 1: but early happens all the time. Yeah.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Okay, this person says, which we kind of touched on,
- 22:27Speaker 2: when someone tells me if and how I've impacted their life,
- 22:31Speaker 2: so that's when they know that they've made it. Do
- 22:34Speaker 2: you feel that, Do you feel like you need before
- 22:38Speaker 2: you die someone or you already know someone to tell you, like,
- 22:41Speaker 2: this is how you've changed my life and for the better.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I think that's one of the reasons why I love
- 22:48Speaker 1: what I do in the position that I'm in is
- 22:50Speaker 1: I get a lot of people. I'm sure there's a
- 22:52Speaker 1: lot of people that send me hate mail. I don't
- 22:55Speaker 1: ever see that shit, but I get a lot of
- 22:58Speaker 1: people who send emails to like you or my ms, yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 1: dms to the podcast or like my agent will send
- 23:07Speaker 1: me really kind emails from people of how I've changed them,
- 23:11Speaker 1: whether it's sobriety or taking on the role of a
- 23:15Speaker 1: single mom, just having your life kind of go a
- 23:17Speaker 1: different direction and choosing to handle it a certain way,
- 23:22Speaker 1: and that always makes you feel amazing, right Yeah, yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 1: So I can relate to this person saying like that's
- 23:31Speaker 1: when they know they've made it, as they've made a
- 23:32Speaker 1: positive impact on somebody.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because if you if that was your thing, you
- 23:37Speaker 2: would have you would have made it a million times
- 23:40Speaker 2: over because all of the a lot of sobriety people,
- 23:43Speaker 2: which you know, but I mean with the dms and
- 23:45Speaker 2: like La LA's changed my life, and yeah, I.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Feel like that. But back to because I don't want
- 23:51Speaker 1: everyone to think I'm this bit who just like is
- 23:54Speaker 1: money hungry. I am very money hungry, and I crave
- 23:58Speaker 1: success in that form, and luckily I get to do
- 24:01Speaker 1: what I love while experiencing those successes. And I'm very
- 24:06Speaker 1: goal oriented and nothing. You know, once we accomplish one thing,
- 24:10Speaker 1: it's on to the next. But truly, I feel like
- 24:13Speaker 1: I can talk this way because I have a tremendous
- 24:17Speaker 1: amount of fulfillment now. And I always say that there
- 24:20Speaker 1: are gonna be dark days that loom for all of us.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You know, I've had my dad die and the only
- 24:26Speaker 1: thing I want, and in that moment, it's like I've
- 24:29Speaker 1: made it and we'll be so happy when I have
- 24:32Speaker 1: processed this and I can and I feel like I
- 24:36Speaker 1: can go on with my life. When my life kind
- 24:39Speaker 1: of went in a different direction, it was like I
- 24:43Speaker 1: literally would have been happy living if someone said I'll
- 24:46Speaker 1: make all of this go away. Here's your child, but
- 24:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry you have to live in a box. You
- 24:51Speaker 1: guys will be healthy. I would have taken that. I
- 24:56Speaker 1: would have said, just make this go away. I don't
- 25:00Speaker 1: want to deal with it anymore. So I think the
- 25:02Speaker 1: reason I can talk and say I've made it in
- 25:04Speaker 1: this way is because right now I'm feeling very happy
- 25:08Speaker 1: in my life and fulfilled in many areas. So what
- 25:11Speaker 1: do you fixate on. You're like, well, a lot of
- 25:13Speaker 1: money would be very nice, right, But when you're in
- 25:16Speaker 1: the shit, You're like, I just want this to be
- 25:19Speaker 1: over right. I don't need money, I don't need any
- 25:22Speaker 1: of it. I just want this gone.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yea, you know, one hundred percent, if we had if
- 25:26Speaker 2: we were told today, knock on wood, there is something
- 25:30Speaker 2: coming and human life will cease to exist in twenty
- 25:34Speaker 2: four hours, if we all made it through that, I
- 25:36Speaker 2: think we would all have a different perspective of what
- 25:40Speaker 2: we've made it you've made it.
- 25:42Speaker 1: It depends on where you are in your life, what
- 25:44Speaker 1: you're dealing with.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, this person said, when my toddler girl grows up
- 25:50Speaker 2: and considers me her best.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Friend, I gave me chills.
- 25:55Speaker 2: All see. That makes me a little nervous though, because
- 25:57Speaker 2: I'm a bitch and I'm a daughter, and no matter
- 26:01Speaker 2: if my mom treated me like a queen or like
- 26:03Speaker 2: the worst person on earth, there were times in my
- 26:06Speaker 2: life where I wouldn't have considered my best friend. So
- 26:09Speaker 2: it makes me a little nervous when people put their
- 26:11Speaker 2: making it in someone else because you can't really control.
- 26:15Speaker 2: You can only control people to a certain extent, you know.
- 26:17Speaker 2: And I'm gonna I'm a daughter, and if my mom
- 26:20Speaker 2: was like, are you my best friend? Yeah, at sixteen,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'd be like no, Like it'd be a little bitch, right.
- 26:24Speaker 1: You have no control over that. Yeah, And you go
- 26:28Speaker 1: through phases. One moment they're your best friend, the next
- 26:31Speaker 1: moment they've discovered friends and pot. Yeah, the weed, they
- 26:39Speaker 1: and you are not the best friend unless you're willing
- 26:41Speaker 1: to smoke with them, which I am not willing to be.
- 26:47Speaker 2: You're not willing to smoke even though weed is legal,
- 26:49Speaker 2: all of it.
- 26:50Speaker 1: No, I'm sober?
- 26:51Speaker 2: Oh duh. I was like, Malla, why not?
- 26:55Speaker 1: That would be considered a relapse for me and I
- 26:58Speaker 1: am not giving up my five five years and some change.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Would you smoke weed with your child's because we all
- 27:06Speaker 2: knew the kids whose parents did it, right, guys.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Like, I'd smoke with my kid?
- 27:11Speaker 1: Is there an age though?
- 27:13Speaker 3: That's why I would do it?
- 27:13Speaker 4: Like I know, like if I were to smoke with
- 27:15Speaker 4: my kid, it would be doing it at the best
- 27:16Speaker 4: point in his.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Life, which is what which is what would you.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Say after graduation?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Oh, eighteen?
- 27:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like eighteen is a good Like you
- 27:24Speaker 4: can smoke at eighteen, but like I'm not, like, let's
- 27:27Speaker 4: get through school then once you do that.
- 27:30Speaker 3: If this is something, then yeah, I would.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Obviously I know that they're going to smoke before that,
- 27:34Speaker 4: but I would smoke with my kids, and that's the
- 27:36Speaker 4: point I would do it.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I like that my friends whose parents did it, they
- 27:39Speaker 2: didn't really think it was that big of a deal.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I think with Ocean, I'm going to have to
- 27:44Speaker 1: break it down for her, like, this is why mom
- 27:47Speaker 1: doesn't drink, X, Y, and Z happened. I'm not saying
- 27:51Speaker 1: that my experience will be yours. If you decide to
- 27:54Speaker 1: go out and have a drink, I would really appreciate it.
- 27:59Speaker 1: If you would not get in the car with anybody
- 28:02Speaker 1: or drive yourself home, please just call me. I will
- 28:04Speaker 1: not ask any fucking questions.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Yep, I'll be there.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so important too, because that allowed me to
- 28:12Speaker 2: be safe. I called my mom so many Yeah, you
- 28:15Speaker 2: guys say that, Yeah, Oh, I.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Called my mom.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I mean I was sixteen even or even I was
- 28:21Speaker 4: leaving the house like in ninth grade, walking to friend's houses,
- 28:23Speaker 4: and it would be like three in the morning. No,
- 28:25Speaker 4: just like I can't drink fifth grade but no, like
- 28:28Speaker 4: fifth tall no, but like I could do whatever, Like
- 28:31Speaker 4: even if I didn't want to walk, there were no rules.
- 28:33Speaker 3: There was no rules.
- 28:34Speaker 4: I could call my mom at three and be like, hey,
- 28:35Speaker 4: I'm five minutes away, would you come get me?
- 28:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll be there. So there was just little things
- 28:39Speaker 3: like that.
- 28:39Speaker 4: But like even when I did get drunk, my dad
- 28:41Speaker 4: picked me up a couple of times from three twenty
- 28:44Speaker 4: two just like ubers cause.
- 28:45Speaker 1: You're old enough.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Well, yeah, you're old enough. Yeah. Here's the thing.
- 28:48Speaker 4: I never really drank. The first time I ever drank
- 28:50Speaker 4: was nineteen and then twenty one.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yeah I got it anyway.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah I drank under age and my mom picked me up,
- 28:55Speaker 2: yelled at me, but she picked me up. Oka read
- 28:57Speaker 2: one more, Okay, so I'm gonna read this one and
- 29:02Speaker 2: that this one is just really good because it covers everything.
- 29:04Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, yeah, she said it. When I
- 29:07Speaker 2: feel secure in my life financially, physically, mentally, and in
- 29:10Speaker 2: my relationships. She covered it, so I wanted to read
- 29:12Speaker 2: that because that was great. But this one is interesting
- 29:15Speaker 2: because we've talked about this and we can end on this.
- 29:17Speaker 2: When she said, when I don't feel the need to
- 29:20Speaker 2: tell everyone about it, it's when she feels she's made.
- 29:22Speaker 1: It, or he tell everything about what what?
- 29:27Speaker 2: When I she said, when I don't feel the need
- 29:29Speaker 2: to go I've made it everyone, like, when I can
- 29:31Speaker 2: just keep it to myself and carry on with life.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Does that mean she's telling people she's made it now?
- 29:37Speaker 2: No, she's basically.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Saying, Oh, I get what she's saying. It's like people
- 29:40Speaker 4: see that, like, yeah, you don't even have to say
- 29:42Speaker 4: I made it. They look at you and they're like, damn,
- 29:43Speaker 4: she made it, Like she.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Doesn't you know those people out there who are like
- 29:46Speaker 2: big things coming everything God, And I'm like, oh, you
- 29:51Speaker 2: guys have no idea what I just did. I killed it.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It's like, okay, shut up, what are you talking about.
- 29:58Speaker 2: It's like you've made it when you just can you
- 30:01Speaker 2: do it? You don't like there are things happening behind
- 30:04Speaker 2: the scenes where it's like you don't have to sit
- 30:06Speaker 2: there and be like, guys, you have no idea what's
- 30:08Speaker 2: going to come.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Next, So like you're walking up going well, God said
- 30:11Speaker 3: it to Daryld. That's so trashy. I'm on this. It's like, no,
- 30:14Speaker 3: when you see you, you don't have to say it.
- 30:15Speaker 3: You've made it. They know it, So I get where
- 30:17Speaker 3: she's coming.
- 30:18Speaker 1: But also, I don't like to count my chickens before
- 30:20Speaker 1: they hatch. So it's like, let's not talk about it
- 30:22Speaker 1: because it could not even happen, right.
- 30:25Speaker 3: That's why we counted the chickens that hatch exactly.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Okay, that makes sense now. I was like, she's screaming
- 30:31Speaker 1: to everybody. Now that she's made it, she doesn't have
- 30:34Speaker 1: to do that anymore.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I'm sick of screaming this.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I'm sick of telling everyone I've made it.
- 30:41Speaker 1: That's funny. I love it. Well, you guys, I hope
- 30:44Speaker 1: you enjoyed this bonus episode. I wish you all happy.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I've made it.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Moments, bigger paychecks for all of us.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Yeah, inner peace, piece happiness, love and health. I like
- 30:59Speaker 1: to say I wish for health, wealth and happiness, and
- 31:02Speaker 1: my mum always goes, we are wealthy and the things
