- 0:20Speaker 3: weren't you.
- 0:21Speaker 4: I was trying to find a different one than follow
- 0:23Speaker 4: a lot.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Just why if it is?
- 0:26Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 0:26Speaker 3: My mess it eight broke, don't fix it. We have
- 0:31Speaker 3: a very special guest today.
- 0:33Speaker 2: We have been trying to make this happen, and what
- 0:36Speaker 2: better time for it to happen than the last guest
- 0:40Speaker 2: podcast of the year.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Our last guest of twenty twenty four? Why am I emotional?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Oh?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Wow? I don't know why.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't like the last of things.
- 0:52Speaker 3: But it's setting you up for the beginning of something.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I know every beginning of your mother beginnings end. I know,
- 0:59Speaker 1: but it's just like I don't though. Does nobody else
- 1:00Speaker 1: have like I have such a hard time with goodbyes.
- 1:03Speaker 6: I love this time of year more than any other
- 1:05Speaker 6: time of year. I love everything's ending and then the
- 1:07Speaker 6: world's going to shut down for a few weeks. It's
- 1:09Speaker 6: my favorite thing. And the closer we get to the
- 1:12Speaker 6: shutdown the sooner we are to effluorescence elorescence.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I know I love a new year, Don't get me wrong,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I love a new year. But there's something about the
- 1:21Speaker 1: good byes and the like won't see you for two weeks,
- 1:23Speaker 1: like just goodbye to everything that I knew.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Our guest today, she has probably had the craziest year
- 1:38Speaker 3: of anyone that I know.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, really crazy twenty twenty.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Four, crazy twenty twenty four.
- 1:43Speaker 1: What a knee jerk year. Her word for twenty twenty
- 1:46Speaker 1: four was probably like knee jerk.
- 1:48Speaker 3: There's probably love whip turned into whip blocks.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but she is.
- 1:55Speaker 3: You met her on The Bachelor. She then became the bachelorette,
- 1:58Speaker 3: the first Asian American bachelor. She then proceeded to go
- 2:06Speaker 3: on Dancing with the Stars. So she has had quite the.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Year, and we couldn't be happier to have gin Trans
- 2:11Speaker 2: scrubbing it. We have been really trying to make this
- 2:18Speaker 2: happen for quite some time now.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I know, I'm sorry. My schedule has been
- 2:23Speaker 5: so so so crazy, but I wanted to come on
- 2:25Speaker 5: and make this happen too, do not.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I love you, Jo, You're our final guest of twenty
- 2:29Speaker 3: twenty fours.
- 2:30Speaker 4: You are our last guest of the year.
- 2:32Speaker 5: You know, I feel honored. I feel very very honored.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I mean I should just ask her us to like
- 2:39Speaker 4: get it out of the way.
- 2:41Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no, just really quick.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Are you gonna propose to me? Because no, but.
- 2:49Speaker 1: We really want to try and have like a girl's
- 2:51Speaker 1: night drinks with like every guest that we have.
- 2:54Speaker 5: I would love that.
- 2:55Speaker 3: No, no, no, here's what she's up. We've tried. We've
- 2:58Speaker 3: tried to have.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Drinks and hangouts with people outside of this and on
- 3:02Speaker 2: the podcast.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Oh my god, yeah, let's do it, and it never.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Happens, and so Tany is just constantly let down and no,
- 3:10Speaker 2: so I said, twenty twenty five will be the year
- 3:12Speaker 2: that we we're.
- 3:13Speaker 5: Gonna do it.
- 3:14Speaker 3: We're gonna do it.
- 3:14Speaker 5: I feel like we can make this happen because I
- 3:17Speaker 5: we've hung out outside of the podcast, like that's how
- 3:19Speaker 5: we met. We met JoJo's yeah party, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 5: and then I see you all.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Okay, it's gonna make it happen.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Jed Tran's gonna be our first.
- 3:29Speaker 5: I need new girlfriends in La anyways.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Oh cute, Okay, what is your plan?
- 3:35Speaker 3: With that, are you staying in? What's your plan?
- 3:37Speaker 2: Because I there's so much to get to in terms
- 3:40Speaker 2: of this year has been.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I can't even imagine how crazy for you. But are
- 3:46Speaker 3: what what are your plans in terms of where you're
- 3:48Speaker 3: gonna live?
- 3:49Speaker 5: So right now, I'm just living here in LA for
- 3:51Speaker 5: a little second and then with a friend, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 5: just crashing on somebody's couch.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Oh oh really, Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Oh you didn't know.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm fully moved in there, but I am going
- 4:11Speaker 5: back to Peay school in March, so I'm only going
- 4:14Speaker 5: to be in LA for like a couple more months.
- 4:16Speaker 5: But even then, like, I'm traveling a lot in the
- 4:19Speaker 5: next few weeks, so I'm going to be everywhere. I'm
- 4:22Speaker 5: going home to Boston tonight, and then I'm going to
- 4:25Speaker 5: Vietnam at some point in January for the first time ever,
- 4:30Speaker 5: and then I'm going back to Miami for like two
- 4:32Speaker 5: weeks to get stuff situated as well in January. So
- 4:36Speaker 5: I'm just going to be traveling a lot, yeah, but
- 4:38Speaker 5: mainly going to try to be like situated in LA
- 4:40Speaker 5: because there's so much going on here right now, and
- 4:42Speaker 5: I want to just like hang out here while I
- 4:44Speaker 5: have the time.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's busy, yeah, busy, But are busy? Are you?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Do you have to physically be there for scores like
- 4:52Speaker 3: an online Oh wow?
- 4:53Speaker 5: Yes. So my program, my physician assistant program is two years.
- 4:57Speaker 5: The first year you're in the classroom, you're learning everything.
- 4:59Speaker 5: Then a second and you're you're in hospitals and like
- 5:03Speaker 5: the clinical setting and you're working with doctors, PA's, nurses
- 5:07Speaker 5: and everything, and you're kind of working under supervision essentially.
- 5:10Speaker 5: So it has to be in person, and you're doing
- 5:13Speaker 5: that where in Miami?
- 5:15Speaker 4: Okay, okay, yes, but I'm just.
- 5:17Speaker 2: So impressed because you there is so much opportunity. Yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 2: there's a lot going on in your life right now.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So so being somewhere where you have to have a
- 5:28Speaker 2: schedule and have like the dedication is a big commitment.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Ke, you talk about the decision that, like where you
- 5:35Speaker 1: decide that that's what you wanted to do.
- 5:37Speaker 5: I've always said that I would go back to school.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Like when I was on the Bachelor, I was like,
- 5:41Speaker 5: I'm pausing school, I have to go back. Then the Bachelor,
- 5:44Speaker 5: I was like, I'm pausing school, I have to go
- 5:45Speaker 5: back dancing the stars, pausing school. I have to go back,
- 5:48Speaker 5: and I'm a woman of my word and like especially
- 5:51Speaker 5: to myself, and I know that I've worked so hard
- 5:54Speaker 5: to get into physician assistant school. It's really hard, and
- 5:57Speaker 5: I've been passionate about medicine my entire life, and I
- 6:00Speaker 5: just know that what's going on right now is really
- 6:02Speaker 5: fun and exciting and there's so many avenues to explore
- 6:05Speaker 5: and I'm so excited to do that. And I also
- 6:07Speaker 5: know that it's still going to be waiting here for
- 6:09Speaker 5: me in some sense, like after peace school, and I'm
- 6:13Speaker 5: going to try to do both as best as I can.
- 6:15Speaker 5: But I just know that school is not something that
- 6:18Speaker 5: I can go back to after this, So like, I
- 6:20Speaker 5: just want to get my degree. And whether I'm gonna
- 6:23Speaker 5: work full time or for the rest of my life
- 6:25Speaker 5: as a physician assistant, I don't know, but I want
- 6:27Speaker 5: to at least like get my degree and work in
- 6:29Speaker 5: it for a little while because I've always wanted to.
- 6:32Speaker 1: That's so impressive and honestly so forward thinking.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Because forward thinking, but I don't think a lot.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Of people in your situation would think that far ahead.
- 6:41Speaker 5: It's just I don't know it just feels weird for
- 6:44Speaker 5: me to it's the easy thing to do, but to
- 6:47Speaker 5: be like net like fuck school, you know, and just
- 6:49Speaker 5: like not finish. But I just think I have to
- 6:52Speaker 5: do what's hard because I know that it's going to
- 6:54Speaker 5: be so rewarding at the end of it. But don't
- 6:57Speaker 5: applaud me yet, because honestly, like I it's it's a lot.
- 7:02Speaker 5: At the time that I've taken off has been a lot,
- 7:04Speaker 5: and a lot of what I've learned has gone out
- 7:06Speaker 5: the windows. So it's gonna be a lot of work
- 7:08Speaker 5: going back to school. Like pre going back to school,
- 7:11Speaker 5: I have to like sit down and like really like
- 7:13Speaker 5: study and like refocus and like get back into the
- 7:17Speaker 5: rhythm of things before school actually starts. So there's a lot.
- 7:20Speaker 5: It's an uphill battle that's not easy.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Listen, take the take the applause, because I think that
- 7:26Speaker 2: is so This world is so intoxicating when you come
- 7:30Speaker 2: off the show, and I can't even imagine for you,
- 7:33Speaker 2: like doing back to back to back shows and having
- 7:37Speaker 2: the attention and the opportunities to even be able to
- 7:40Speaker 2: think about going back to like a regular scheduled program
- 7:45Speaker 2: even just to regardless of what happens. Like, just to
- 7:48Speaker 2: know that that's your plan is so impressive to me
- 7:51Speaker 2: than so you should be very I mean, I'm like
- 7:53Speaker 2: so impressed by you.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I am too, honestly, You're so sweet.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Thank you. I mean also like long term goal like
- 8:00Speaker 5: love to have my own skincare brand. So I'm like,
- 8:02Speaker 5: if I just become a PA, go into dermatology, have
- 8:06Speaker 5: my own skincare brand, like it just like everything which
- 8:09Speaker 5: everything works and it would be amazing. Well circle, I'm
- 8:12Speaker 5: just I'm pushing for it.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Okay, I love that.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Can we go to the beginning. So how did you
- 8:19Speaker 2: get on The Bachelor for Joey season?
- 8:23Speaker 3: What was the process for you? So?
- 8:25Speaker 5: I was making tiktoks about being in PA school and
- 8:29Speaker 5: casting producers saw one of my tiktoks and then reached
- 8:32Speaker 5: out to me, was like, thought you'd be great for
- 8:34Speaker 5: the Bachelor. I laughed it off, still did the interview though,
- 8:37Speaker 5: because I was like, oh, it could be fun. And
- 8:39Speaker 5: then when they officially gave me the contract and was
- 8:41Speaker 5: like we really want you on, I was like I'm
- 8:44Speaker 5: in school, like I don't know about this, and like
- 8:46Speaker 5: I was like, the only way I'm going to go
- 8:48Speaker 5: on is if I feel like there's a chance for
- 8:50Speaker 5: a connection with the lead. So I waited until after
- 8:53Speaker 5: Joe was announced. I was like, he's a good looking guy,
- 8:56Speaker 5: Like who knows what could happen? And so I just
- 8:58Speaker 5: took the chance and I did it and then and yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 5: I mean it was really hard though, because for me,
- 9:04Speaker 5: I had to make sure school was like still gonna
- 9:07Speaker 5: be there. Like I had to talk with my program.
- 9:09Speaker 5: I was like, are you guys okay with me doing this?
- 9:11Speaker 5: I flat out told them. I was like if you
- 9:12Speaker 5: say no, like that's fine, Like I'm still gonna stay
- 9:14Speaker 5: in school, like that's my priority here. And they were like, no,
- 9:17Speaker 5: it's fine, Like we'll figure it out for you if
- 9:19Speaker 5: that's what you really want to do. So that's kind
- 9:22Speaker 5: of how I got thrown into things.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So you go on the show and I just have
- 9:27Speaker 2: a I'm curious about your mindset going on and I
- 9:30Speaker 2: this stems from being at the Unforgettable Gala MM because
- 9:35Speaker 2: it was so fun watching people like freak out over you.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And Haley and I were talking about it and she
- 9:41Speaker 2: was like, we were saying, like it was such an amazing,
- 9:45Speaker 2: huge deal that you were the first Asian American.
- 9:47Speaker 3: To be the Bachelorette, to be a lead.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't think that people can grasp the
- 9:55Speaker 2: significance of it.
- 9:57Speaker 5: Me too, I don't even grasp the significance of it sometimes.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Yeah, So I wanted to know, like, when you went
- 10:02Speaker 2: on Joey's season, did you have any mindset because no one,
- 10:05Speaker 2: no one who was Asian American had even been thought
- 10:08Speaker 2: of as a lead. I guess Kayla who was on
- 10:10Speaker 2: ben season with me, she was considered, yes, for the
- 10:13Speaker 2: bachelorette role.
- 10:14Speaker 3: But was there a part of.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Even call back to Kayla impressive she.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Was on my I mean, but I'm curious when you
- 10:24Speaker 2: went on did was there ever a thought that I
- 10:26Speaker 2: could be the lead of this show?
- 10:28Speaker 5: No? Not, not even a little bit. I it just
- 10:31Speaker 5: wasn't even in my review mirror because at the time
- 10:34Speaker 5: when I was like in the show with Joey, I
- 10:37Speaker 5: was like, oh, I love him, like this is it,
- 10:39Speaker 5: you know, And then coming off of it, I was like, Oh,
- 10:42Speaker 5: I'm so happy to be back in school, Like I'm
- 10:44Speaker 5: like so excited to like finish out school. I only
- 10:47Speaker 5: have like a year left, Like it's I like had
- 10:50Speaker 5: had my time on TV, Like it was cool such
- 10:53Speaker 5: a fun experience, like now I'm back to normal life.
- 10:56Speaker 5: And then when I got the call ABT the that Trett,
- 10:59Speaker 5: I was just like I didn't know it was an option.
- 11:03Speaker 5: I was shocked and like confused about what I was
- 11:06Speaker 5: gonna do because again, school was such a huge factor
- 11:09Speaker 5: for me, and I also had to think of it
- 11:12Speaker 5: long term. I was like, if I if school says no,
- 11:16Speaker 5: like am I still Like if my school says I
- 11:18Speaker 5: can't go back? Would I take the opportunity? And my
- 11:21Speaker 5: what's my life gonna look like after that? So it
- 11:25Speaker 5: was just a lot of change happening. But in terms
- 11:28Speaker 5: of being the first Asian American bacherette, like I, yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 5: I don't know. It wasn't something that I thought of.
- 11:33Speaker 5: And it was funny because after Joey's season all the
- 11:36Speaker 5: stuff started coming out about because I was never really
- 11:40Speaker 5: a big Bachelor fan until I watched like Matt James
- 11:42Speaker 5: the season for the first time, and I loved that.
- 11:44Speaker 5: But I was never really a huge fan, so I
- 11:46Speaker 5: didn't know like who's the bacherette, who's been the Bachelor
- 11:48Speaker 5: all this stuff until like people started saying stuff of
- 11:51Speaker 5: like oh, Jem's the first, like Mono racial Asian to
- 11:53Speaker 5: like get a first one on one date with somebody,
- 11:56Speaker 5: which I was like, that's huge, crazy, And then people
- 12:01Speaker 5: were like, oh, we've never had an Asian bachelorette before,
- 12:04Speaker 5: Like what if jensa bacherette? And I was like, that's
- 12:06Speaker 5: crazy that they've never had one before. And I think
- 12:10Speaker 5: I've really seen the impact of it after the season,
- 12:14Speaker 5: just having so many people reach out to me saying
- 12:17Speaker 5: that they've never seen someone like me on screen before.
- 12:20Speaker 5: And I felt that before too. Growing up, I've never
- 12:22Speaker 5: really had someone to look up to who was Asian
- 12:25Speaker 5: American and who told their stories well and who told
- 12:28Speaker 5: their stories with vulnerability. So it was really amazing to
- 12:31Speaker 5: see how many people's hearts I touched and how many
- 12:33Speaker 5: people I inspired, And that was like the most beautiful
- 12:37Speaker 5: thing that really came out of it for me.
- 12:39Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Like when we were at the gala, Haley and are
- 12:42Speaker 2: afterwards we were talking about and she was like a
- 12:45Speaker 2: lot of people in that room like Jen is such
- 12:48Speaker 2: a huge deal because those people never saw themselves as
- 12:52Speaker 2: the lead of a reality specifically the Bachelor, And how
- 12:55Speaker 2: cool that you got to be the first to be
- 12:58Speaker 2: that rep so now can watch it and be like,
- 13:01Speaker 2: I can be the lead of the show.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, And I think it even extends beyond like
- 13:06Speaker 5: the lead of a show. It's like the lead of
- 13:07Speaker 5: your own life, because I think so oftentimes when you're
- 13:11Speaker 5: a kid, you're growing up and you're you're you want
- 13:14Speaker 5: to be someone who's on TV, right, Like, not like
- 13:17Speaker 5: someone is on TV, but you want you look up
- 13:19Speaker 5: to the people who are on right.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Whether that's you find your role model.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Yeah, that's how you find your role models, whether it's
- 13:23Speaker 5: reality TV or even just a movie or whatever. You're like, Oh,
- 13:27Speaker 5: that person's inspiring. I want to be like them. And
- 13:30Speaker 5: to grow up not having anyone look like you to
- 13:32Speaker 5: aspire to be is tough because then you're like, oh,
- 13:36Speaker 5: but where do I belong in this world? What's my identity? Like?
- 13:39Speaker 5: Why is no one? Why is there no one I
- 13:41Speaker 5: could relate to? So, yeah, it is really incredible to
- 13:45Speaker 5: be a role model. It's also a lot of pressure. Yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 5: that's a lot of pressure. But I'm so happy that
- 13:51Speaker 5: so many people could relate to me and could feel
- 13:53Speaker 5: inspired by me, And I just hope that there's like
- 13:56Speaker 5: more of it.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I feel like you just like when you say you
- 14:20Speaker 1: weren't expecting to be the bachelorette and like all, like
- 14:23Speaker 1: I really genuinely believe you, and like I feel like
- 14:26Speaker 1: a lot of people in the past have said, like, no,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I didn't do it, could cut you know, to be
- 14:31Speaker 1: the lead, and like I never believed them, but like
- 14:33Speaker 1: I genuinely believe you. And I remember when we met
- 14:37Speaker 1: at JoJo's Cupshy event.
- 14:38Speaker 4: I was like so blown away, just how like normal
- 14:40Speaker 4: and cool you, Like I didn't get cool. I think
- 14:44Speaker 4: it's really cool.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Like I didn't get any ego, I didn't get any
- 14:48Speaker 1: like anything from you, Like it was just like you
- 14:50Speaker 1: were so cool and down to earth. So I'm just
- 14:52Speaker 1: like so happy that you had that, like that you
- 14:54Speaker 1: were the first and that you have that like as
- 14:57Speaker 1: like something that you can always hold on too, because
- 14:59Speaker 1: I just feel like you're so.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Cool, You're so sweet, thank you.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And genuine like I really I feel that. But I
- 15:05Speaker 1: also feel like they did you dirty.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yes, I was about to say I too felt like
- 15:11Speaker 2: they did you dirty those guys.
- 15:14Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, listen, I've it was a whirlwind, and I think.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Did you have time to recover from that?
- 15:21Speaker 3: Like how long was that there wasn't time, like no,
- 15:24Speaker 3: because I had hours.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I had that night.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Well, I ran off of stage at AFR and then
- 15:32Speaker 5: I got to my dressing room and that was when
- 15:34Speaker 5: I was caught. They told me I was gonna be
- 15:36Speaker 5: on Dancing with the Stars and then I had to
- 15:38Speaker 5: hop on a flight in forty five minutes. So it
- 15:40Speaker 5: was like I never really had time to sit and
- 15:43Speaker 5: think about what happened to me.
- 15:46Speaker 4: And blessing and a curse.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Yes, yes, no, Like it was such emotional whiplash because
- 15:51Speaker 5: I was such a low low and then suddenly I
- 15:53Speaker 5: was like, oh my god, dancing with the Stars, Like
- 15:55Speaker 5: I've always wanted to be on Dancing with the Stars. Like,
- 15:58Speaker 5: if anything, I manifested Dancing with the Star because I
- 16:00Speaker 5: remember watching it growing up and being like, oh, I
- 16:02Speaker 5: love dancing. You would love to just learn how to
- 16:04Speaker 5: dance and like maybe I'll become a pro one day
- 16:06Speaker 5: and like get dance classes and like be really good,
- 16:09Speaker 5: which obviously never happened. But and then and then I
- 16:13Speaker 5: got on it, which is crazy. But it was such
- 16:16Speaker 5: a whirlwind, and I think that I'm so happy now.
- 16:19Speaker 5: I'm so happy with the way things turned out. But
- 16:22Speaker 5: there is like a part of me that I think,
- 16:24Speaker 5: you know, I haven't called my therapist back for a reason,
- 16:28Speaker 5: and I've been ignoring your phone calls, and I just
- 16:31Speaker 5: that's the worst.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the worst. And they're like checking in like hey,
- 16:35Speaker 4: I'm like.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Hey girl, I'm so busy. I love I want to
- 16:38Speaker 5: do a session. I was so busy.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Check backtircle back in twenty twenty five.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Twenty twenty five to on my TV list is to
- 16:43Speaker 5: call my therapist back because I'm sure there's so much
- 16:46Speaker 5: unpacking to do to really get to the depths of
- 16:48Speaker 5: all of it, because when you go through such a
- 16:51Speaker 5: huge public betrayal like that, like there's definitely some deep
- 16:54Speaker 5: wounds in there that I have to unpack, but overall
- 16:56Speaker 5: I'm very happy.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Yeah, So there's also that.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, I think it's you know, you have this moment
- 17:02Speaker 2: on TV which, like you said, deep betrayal and hurt
- 17:05Speaker 2: and from.
- 17:06Speaker 1: What for people that are listening that may not know
- 17:08Speaker 1: what went down in like a cliff notes version.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I got engaged on the Bachelorette, was very very happy,
- 17:16Speaker 5: thought I met the man of my dreams. And then
- 17:19Speaker 5: shortly after we got engaged and we were off the show.
- 17:22Speaker 5: He had turned out to be someone completely different and
- 17:25Speaker 5: then we broke up. He broke up with me, and
- 17:28Speaker 5: then I, yeah, he didn't even give me a chance
- 17:31Speaker 5: to have a conversation with him in person before like
- 17:34Speaker 5: this live finale that we had to do for the show,
- 17:36Speaker 5: and he kept leading me on and whatever. And then
- 17:39Speaker 5: the first time I had to see him was on
- 17:41Speaker 5: stage live in front of an audience and hash out
- 17:44Speaker 5: our breakup together, and he was a completely different person
- 17:47Speaker 5: than I had gotten engaged to at that time when
- 17:50Speaker 5: I had seen him again, So it was really crazy.
- 17:52Speaker 5: And then all the stuff that happened after the fact
- 17:54Speaker 5: was really the craziest part. And he just like had
- 17:58Speaker 5: all this stuff come up about his past and restraining
- 18:00Speaker 5: orders and whatnot. So yeah, I just the biggest betrayal
- 18:04Speaker 5: is that he turned out to be someone that I
- 18:06Speaker 5: didn't know at all.
- 18:07Speaker 4: How scary is that?
- 18:08Speaker 5: Though?
- 18:09Speaker 3: Very yeah, very the biggest betrayal is that he was
- 18:13Speaker 3: cast to be on the show to date someone.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Well, how are they supposed to know?
- 18:17Speaker 5: They?
- 18:19Speaker 1: Okay, I'm not excuses for anybody, but like, I just
- 18:22Speaker 1: feel like, how scary that this person was able to
- 18:25Speaker 1: like swindle you into like thinking that they were somebody
- 18:27Speaker 1: that they weren't and then like boom, yeah.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I mean it's it's it was crazy what happened to you.
- 18:34Speaker 5: It was. It was really crazy. It's not something you
- 18:37Speaker 5: see every day.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Did you also feel when you watched the proposal? When
- 18:43Speaker 2: they made you watch it was that total shock, but
- 18:46Speaker 2: it felt like it like it felt like you had
- 18:47Speaker 2: no idea that was going to happen.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Yeah, they definitely. So they told me that that was
- 18:52Speaker 5: what was going to happen, and I was like, okay, great,
- 18:54Speaker 5: I want him to watch it back and like, because
- 18:56Speaker 5: at that time, I was like, you know, like I
- 19:00Speaker 5: can't believe you promised me the world and now you're
- 19:02Speaker 5: telling me that you didn't kind of thing, which is
- 19:04Speaker 5: what we were going through. But when I was on stage,
- 19:06Speaker 5: I think I didn't realize how emotional I was gonna
- 19:09Speaker 5: be seeing him again, being in that environment again, rehashing everything,
- 19:14Speaker 5: and so watching it back was was really hard. It
- 19:18Speaker 5: was really really hard.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I just like what you experienced was so gnarly,
- 19:27Speaker 1: but then to do it in a public forum is
- 19:32Speaker 1: like a whole nother level. Yes, So I have so
- 19:36Speaker 1: many questions about that. But do you have you spoken
- 19:39Speaker 1: to him since.
- 19:41Speaker 5: Since after the final Rose. We had a couple of
- 19:46Speaker 5: texts exchanged about everything that went down, things that happened
- 19:50Speaker 5: after the fact. I was getting dms of him like
- 19:54Speaker 5: traveling with an ex girlfriend of his, like before the show,
- 19:59Speaker 5: like had come out that we were working up whatever.
- 20:00Speaker 5: So it was just like it was a lot for
- 20:02Speaker 5: me to go through because then things started coming out.
- 20:05Speaker 5: So we're texting a little bit. But since then, was it.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Like he apologized and you were just kind of like, what.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Like it's not like, you know, it's not like it
- 20:14Speaker 1: had like a nice little bow on it and you
- 20:16Speaker 1: put that in the past.
- 20:17Speaker 5: No, but my bow was knowing that at the end
- 20:22Speaker 5: of the day he I listen, I wish him well
- 20:26Speaker 5: and I really hope that he gets some therapy and
- 20:29Speaker 5: you know, like really works through whatever demons he's fighting.
- 20:33Speaker 4: You know what Jojo Siwa says, Karma.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Is a bitch, says Karma as a cat.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Yeah, bitch is so much better. Do you agree?
- 20:47Speaker 5: And exactly like, listen, I I just want him to
- 20:51Speaker 5: be healed, and I really do wish him the best
- 20:53Speaker 5: and I'm so happy that he is out of my life.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Okay, so that's that's that's that I want it.
- 21:00Speaker 3: But it is a box in the past.
- 21:02Speaker 4: The yes, okay, that's where that's where LO was.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Knowing that he wasn't a great person to me and
- 21:08Speaker 5: was cheating on me. And that was the bow that
- 21:10Speaker 5: I didn't I didn't get married to him. I didn't
- 21:12Speaker 5: have kids with him.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Like, thank god, you have emotionally yourself voted up in
- 21:18Speaker 1: the past, which is the best thing to do. Yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 1: what is it like except the apology and ever get
- 21:23Speaker 1: or something like that along.
- 21:26Speaker 4: So that's that.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Then you get told that you're going on Dancing with
- 21:29Speaker 1: the Stars. Yes, do you get any saying who you're
- 21:33Speaker 1: partnered up with?
- 21:34Speaker 4: It's random?
- 21:35Speaker 5: No, especially last minute like that. God. No, they were
- 21:38Speaker 5: just like, oh, this is who your partner is. This
- 21:39Speaker 5: is like okay. And I remember I was in the
- 21:41Speaker 5: airport and they were like, oh, he's there, and I
- 21:43Speaker 5: was like, okay, I have to google social farbar because
- 21:45Speaker 5: I don't know he looks Google type. Of course. All
- 21:49Speaker 5: his photos are shirtless. He doesn't wear it. The man
- 21:50Speaker 5: does not wear a shirt. I looked around, who's the
- 21:53Speaker 5: one shirtles guy in the airport? That's Sasha. He was
- 21:57Speaker 5: wearing this button down and one and all the way
- 22:00Speaker 5: at the bottom was but no other buttons were buttoned.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I was like, that'scial Farmer perfect.
- 22:06Speaker 3: It was like cold on the airplane. Yeah, chili, chili.
- 22:10Speaker 5: The man doesn't get cold.
- 22:13Speaker 3: So this is my favorite thing about life. Right.
- 22:16Speaker 2: You go through this public, like brutal heartbreak in front
- 22:21Speaker 2: of everybody, right, and then this beautiful opportunity comes into
- 22:26Speaker 2: your life where you get to meet someone who seemingly
- 22:29Speaker 2: as of now feels like they're going to be in
- 22:31Speaker 2: your life for a long time. And you've created this
- 22:33Speaker 2: bond WITHID and had the bad thing not happened, the
- 22:38Speaker 2: good the better thing probably wouldn't have happened.
- 22:42Speaker 5: I agree, And.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I think so yeah, because I think that they put
- 22:45Speaker 1: you on Dancing with the Stars because of the outcome
- 22:47Speaker 1: of the show, like you ended up happily engaged with
- 22:50Speaker 1: this man.
- 22:52Speaker 5: I don't know what would have happened, but all I
- 22:54Speaker 5: know is I had a call with the executive producer
- 22:56Speaker 5: of Dancing with Stars like two weeks before the finale.
- 23:00Speaker 5: They were like, it's not happening, like so sorry, And
- 23:03Speaker 5: usually they do a big happy announcement, right, like I
- 23:05Speaker 5: think with charity. They did like a happy announcement on AFR.
- 23:08Speaker 5: So like, when I got off of stage at AFR,
- 23:11Speaker 5: I was like that, no happy announcement is happening, And
- 23:14Speaker 5: I was told that it was a pretty last minute
- 23:16Speaker 5: decision in that moment.
- 23:17Speaker 4: So okay, so that you're probably right now.
- 23:20Speaker 2: And I just think that's such a lesson in like,
- 23:22Speaker 2: and let's say, even if it had been the plane
- 23:25Speaker 2: that you were gonna go on the show.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Right right, would it have affected this relationship? Like things
- 23:29Speaker 3: just would have been very you would have had a
- 23:31Speaker 3: very different cherience.
- 23:32Speaker 5: And I so agree, And I think that's been the
- 23:34Speaker 5: best lesson to come out of this, is that no
- 23:37Speaker 5: matter how bad something that you're going through is, if
- 23:40Speaker 5: you just keep pushing, eventually it's gonna get better. And
- 23:43Speaker 5: like sometimes you'll get surprised by like the best opportunity
- 23:46Speaker 5: of your life, Like you don't know what's on the
- 23:48Speaker 5: other side of that door. So that's really like my
- 23:51Speaker 5: biggest life lesson is like, no matter how bad a
- 23:53Speaker 5: situation seems, a relationship seems like if you leave, who
- 23:56Speaker 5: knows what's on the other side of them?
- 23:58Speaker 3: So, so you opened an their door too, where's a
- 24:04Speaker 3: dance partner.
- 24:05Speaker 1: By the way, I love his name just Sasha. I
- 24:08Speaker 1: love the name Sasha. I like, I'm obsessed with it.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I just it's really not important to this conversation.
- 24:14Speaker 5: But you were about your love for his name.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I just love his name, Like I think everybody should
- 24:20Speaker 1: name their children Sasha.
- 24:22Speaker 4: I like it.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Yeah, it's growing on me, that's for sure.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, do you like this Sasha Junior as a name.
- 24:28Speaker 5: For for whose kids? Here we're talking? You know, I
- 24:35Speaker 5: think it's a really cool name. I don't really call
- 24:38Speaker 5: him Sosha all though. Often though, if I do, what
- 24:40Speaker 5: do you call them? Babe? Honey? Oh it's just babe.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Well, because he's your boyfriend, right, I don't.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I don't know if that's uh confirmed your died yet?
- 24:50Speaker 3: Why why I need to know why? Because there's there's
- 24:53Speaker 3: all these articles.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Threw me off. I thought you guys were just friends.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Oh, he's Australian, so he calls everybody babe. So we
- 24:59Speaker 5: started off for a dance partnership calling each other babe
- 25:02Speaker 5: because he just calls me babe all the time. He
- 25:04Speaker 5: also calls everybody else babe, So now I also call
- 25:07Speaker 5: everybody babe too.
- 25:08Speaker 3: But what's his name for you that he doesn't call
- 25:10Speaker 3: everybody else?
- 25:12Speaker 5: He calls me babe and honey.
- 25:14Speaker 3: That's that's unatt Does he call everyone else honey? I
- 25:16Speaker 3: think so they are cool people that do that.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Yes, did I walk in here every morning? Hey babe?
- 25:24Speaker 2: So here's my question, because we're doing frantic research trying
- 25:28Speaker 2: to figure out where things lie in your relationship, in
- 25:32Speaker 2: your dating life. Right, lots of conflicting articles, some straight
- 25:37Speaker 2: some interviews straight from you that you're keeping your life private,
- 25:42Speaker 2: but there's a lot of footage and photos that that
- 25:45Speaker 2: course say otherwise.
- 25:48Speaker 5: I am just having fun. Listen. I share what I
- 25:51Speaker 5: want to share on social media because it's fun, Like
- 25:54Speaker 5: making tiktoks is fun, doing a little dancing tiktoks with
- 25:58Speaker 5: Sasha is fun, And it's like a nice creative outlet
- 26:03Speaker 5: for me and I just I share what I want
- 26:05Speaker 5: to share, and I keep things private where I want
- 26:08Speaker 5: to keep things private. And now I'm not like I
- 26:11Speaker 5: don't have a mastermind plan. Like it's so funny because
- 26:13Speaker 5: everyone online is like, she's gonna announce this on this
- 26:16Speaker 5: date because she said this and liked this comment and
- 26:19Speaker 5: did that. I'm like, guys, I'm really not as cool
- 26:21Speaker 5: as Taylor Swift. I don't have this.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Grand plan that'd be pretty epic.
- 26:24Speaker 5: It would be very epic, but it's just it's not me.
- 26:28Speaker 5: I am just like taking life one day at a
- 26:31Speaker 5: time and like trying to navigate everything as best as
- 26:35Speaker 5: I can. You guys are unsatisfied.
- 26:39Speaker 1: No, no, no, I really like I'm very naive and
- 26:43Speaker 1: I just like had no idea that there was like
- 26:45Speaker 1: even a question, like I'm like that of course they're dating, Like,
- 26:47Speaker 1: of course that's her boyfriend. Like I literally didn't even
- 26:50Speaker 1: think that it was a thing. And then I started
- 26:51Speaker 1: googling and realized there was all these reports saying like no,
- 26:53Speaker 1: they're not Yes they are, And I was like.
- 26:57Speaker 2: I am one hundred percent on board of keeping you anything.
- 27:00Speaker 2: We were dating like private, right because I was with
- 27:03Speaker 2: my girlfriend for four years before we were publicly. Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 2: so but we didn't go to anything to get like
- 27:08Speaker 2: there is no footage of us out on the internet
- 27:12Speaker 2: or that we were posting, so there was you know,
- 27:13Speaker 2: it's pretty private.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:17Speaker 5: I just think and I agree with that, and I
- 27:23Speaker 5: I think moving forward with my life, I just I
- 27:26Speaker 5: don't know. After going through a very public breakup. It's
- 27:30Speaker 5: just not the time for me or maybe ever to
- 27:33Speaker 5: like announce something, to launch something to like I don't,
- 27:38Speaker 5: I don't know. It's just not for me. And I'm
- 27:40Speaker 5: really just living my life one day at a time
- 27:42Speaker 5: and trying to do the best I can do with
- 27:45Speaker 5: and being as comfortable as I am and like being
- 27:48Speaker 5: as vulnerable as I can be online. And that's it
- 27:51Speaker 5: is what it is. And I think, honestly, like I'm
- 27:54Speaker 5: not launching anybody anything until I'm like pregnant, Like why it's.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Wait, do you think, Okay, do you think I'm going
- 28:02Speaker 1: to about to get like deep here? Do you think
- 28:05Speaker 1: that there's something psychological there because of what you went
- 28:07Speaker 1: through that you're like, I'm not gonna like believe, not
- 28:13Speaker 1: really put myself, not even about the public thing, Like
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm not really gonna believe it until it's like.
- 28:17Speaker 5: There probably yeah. I mean, when you go through such
- 28:22Speaker 5: a huge public betrayal, it it triggers so many beds
- 28:26Speaker 5: in you and for me, I just like I need time.
- 28:30Speaker 5: I need time to like believe, I need time to trust.
- 28:34Speaker 5: I need time.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Right right because you didn't have that with this guy.
- 28:40Speaker 1: And now that's like probably your biggest thing is like, Okay,
- 28:42Speaker 1: time does tell all?
- 28:44Speaker 5: Time really tells all? Yeah, yeah, that's like so that's
- 28:47Speaker 5: something that I'm like living by now, whether it's friends, men,
- 28:51Speaker 5: like whatever, it is, like.
- 28:53Speaker 4: You know what else tells all? Living together.
- 29:00Speaker 5: Had such a research.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Sasha has had a lot of public relationship and divorce,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and so has he been able to just like be
- 29:28Speaker 3: I just feel like, regardless of what y'all status is,
- 29:32Speaker 3: I feel like you'll have this relationship where I feel
- 29:35Speaker 3: like him being your partner specifically healed a part.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Of you that we got to watch, of course, I felt.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I mean we've got to watch it happen every dance,
- 29:47Speaker 3: you know.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it was such a special time in
- 29:49Speaker 5: my life and I think it wouldn't have worked with
- 29:52Speaker 5: any other pro on the show like it was. The
- 29:55Speaker 5: pairing that was made was very much like by intervention
- 30:00Speaker 5: and like he's been through it, you know, with what
- 30:02Speaker 5: his stuff, and I've been through it, so it was
- 30:05Speaker 5: very healing for the both of us for sure.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Yeah, that season, I feel like Dancing with the Stars
- 30:11Speaker 1: hit like a little bit of a lull where, like
- 30:13Speaker 1: I agree, it.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Was like kind of like nobody was really talking about
- 30:15Speaker 4: it and then.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Watching for a little this season, it was like he
- 30:18Speaker 1: popped up, popped off off.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it cooked, it cooked it it ate.
- 30:26Speaker 5: I don't have one.
- 30:28Speaker 3: We took them already there.
- 30:31Speaker 5: Sad.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 5: Yeah. Social media. I think like everybody was on their
- 30:38Speaker 5: social media game this season, Olona, Me, Joey Chandler, who
- 30:43Speaker 5: else is Riley Steven? Like they were all so good
- 30:46Speaker 5: with their social media game, and I think because of
- 30:49Speaker 5: that it really propelled Dancing with the Stars.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. It was a fun season.
- 30:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Did you if you look back on this past year,
- 30:57Speaker 2: what was something that you look back and you're like,
- 31:00Speaker 2: I'm so proud of myself for.
- 31:01Speaker 5: That, so so many moments. I will have to say
- 31:08Speaker 5: after the final rows, I'm really really proud of myself
- 31:10Speaker 5: for getting through that. I think if you had told
- 31:14Speaker 5: me that I would have had to have a conversation
- 31:16Speaker 5: with someone live on TV and get out all the
- 31:20Speaker 5: things that I needed to get out and like still
- 31:23Speaker 5: be stern and not like roll over, especially with someone
- 31:27Speaker 5: that I had previously loved. I don't think I could
- 31:30Speaker 5: have because usually I'm very I'm like a pushover, like
- 31:33Speaker 5: and the fact that I was able to stand my
- 31:35Speaker 5: ground on live TV. I'm very, very proud of myself.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that would make me feel like I
- 31:39Speaker 3: can handle anything in a relationship. I'm like, yeah, this
- 31:42Speaker 3: is in the privacy of my own home, easy. Yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Yes, I feel much more confident in speaking out about
- 31:48Speaker 5: like my boundaries now and whatnot.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Wow, that's amazing.
- 31:53Speaker 5: Yeah, what a crazy year, crazy crazy.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Are you close with the girls for from your season?
- 32:00Speaker 3: I feel like y'all had a.
- 32:02Speaker 5: From the Battle of Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I have
- 32:06Speaker 5: a few good friends from their Taylor Star. Yeah. But
- 32:12Speaker 5: I mean I'm still really good friends with a lot
- 32:13Speaker 5: of them, like Daisy and Kelsey. They live in LA
- 32:16Speaker 5: so that's really nice. We had a really great group
- 32:20Speaker 5: of girls. Yah, y'all had a really I was really sweet.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I also didn't realize you were a classically trained uh.
- 32:29Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, that was a lot of my life.
- 32:33Speaker 5: It's funny because when you're a kid, you're like, when
- 32:36Speaker 5: someone's telling you to do something, like my mom telling
- 32:38Speaker 5: me to practice piano and whatnot, I'm like, no, I
- 32:40Speaker 5: don't want to do that because I hate being told
- 32:42Speaker 5: what to do. But I'm so glad that she pushed
- 32:44Speaker 5: me through it. But now I'm also kind of like
- 32:46Speaker 5: I wish I had kept up with it because it's
- 32:48Speaker 5: been so long now since I've played that. It's not
- 32:50Speaker 5: I'm at the same level that I used to be at,
- 32:52Speaker 5: but it's a really cool party trick every.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Now and then, Yeah, are you going to keep dancing?
- 32:57Speaker 5: I would love to. I love too. So Amanda Flotes
- 33:00Speaker 5: does this like heels class every Monday night. She's been
- 33:02Speaker 5: texting me to go, So I'm gonna go. It's like
- 33:05Speaker 5: sexy dancing dancing almost but no poll just like sexy
- 33:10Speaker 5: dancing without the polls. It's almost like maybe we're last dancing. No.
- 33:15Speaker 5: She just goes to them, posts videos of it and stuff,
- 33:18Speaker 5: and she just always looks so confident and cool, and
- 33:21Speaker 5: so I'm like, I want to do that too. So
- 33:23Speaker 5: I messaged her and she messaged me, So I'm gonna
- 33:25Speaker 5: go to the class with her. It's just a good
- 33:28Speaker 5: way to keep up with it, I think. So we'll see.
- 33:31Speaker 5: We'll see. But I loved ballroom dancing so much, but
- 33:35Speaker 5: I don't know if there's like a lot of adult
- 33:37Speaker 5: ballroom classes around.
- 33:39Speaker 1: So I actually just started looking into this because so
- 33:43Speaker 1: embarrassing are you doing?
- 33:45Speaker 5: Are you doing it?
- 33:46Speaker 4: No for my wedding.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Okay, So my friend, nice friend of mine put it
- 33:51Speaker 1: in my head, like maybe you and Robbie should take
- 33:53Speaker 1: some dance classes before your wedding, and I was like,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'd never thought about it.
- 33:57Speaker 4: And then I was like, yeah, we're gonna like to high.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Schoolers at prom, just like swaying back and forth for
- 34:02Speaker 1: our first dance.
- 34:03Speaker 4: And I was like, I probably.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Should like look into some dance classes and like make
- 34:08Speaker 1: it somewhat of like a cool dance so we don't
- 34:12Speaker 1: look like we're like.
- 34:13Speaker 5: How is that working? Did you find I haven't.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Found anything yet, so you're not wrong that it's not
- 34:17Speaker 1: easy to find.
- 34:18Speaker 5: It's not, yes exactly, it's like I don't know. They
- 34:20Speaker 5: don't have it for the adults, and I'm right, I
- 34:23Speaker 5: don't know. Sasha can help.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Does he do like freelance work?
- 34:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it does. Chances that would be fun, that would
- 34:32Speaker 5: be really fun. Just come over, come over.
- 34:36Speaker 4: I should invite.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Because our first song is a It's an Invisible String
- 34:41Speaker 1: Taylor Swift.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Oh, I love it.
- 34:44Speaker 5: Yeah, that is so cute.
- 34:46Speaker 1: But like if we don't have some cool moves, we're
- 34:48Speaker 1: literally just gonna look like two teenagers.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Sasha, we'll teach you and it'll be amazing and we'll
- 34:53Speaker 5: it'll just we'll just have a little barbecue and then
- 34:55Speaker 5: we'll like.
- 34:56Speaker 3: It'll be dancing simple. Yeah yeah yeahs face done it before.
- 35:00Speaker 5: He's done a lot of first dances before this. And
- 35:08Speaker 5: this is great because then I'll be there too to
- 35:10Speaker 5: kind of help, because it's it's hard when like someone's
- 35:12Speaker 5: teaching you somebody else's moves kind of thing also teaching.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So this is great and Becca can come and we
- 35:18Speaker 1: can have drinks. Yes, this will be yeah, really came
- 35:22Speaker 1: full circle.
- 35:23Speaker 5: We'll teach you some yeah. Yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 2: And then I Hayley's a dancer, so she's press Yeah,
- 35:29Speaker 2: I'll be like to see what about this?
- 35:31Speaker 3: You ever seen this? So you went to the Taylor
- 35:36Speaker 3: Switch concert in Vancouver?
- 35:38Speaker 5: Yes? Yes?
- 35:39Speaker 3: What was her surprise songs?
- 35:41Speaker 4: Wasn't her last show you went to?
- 35:42Speaker 5: I went to the last show and I went to
- 35:43Speaker 5: the Friday show. She did a mix up of a
- 35:46Speaker 5: few songs memory, but she did a few. I was
- 35:50Speaker 5: really happy about long Live at the last one because
- 35:53Speaker 5: that's one of my favorite songs too. I thought she
- 35:56Speaker 5: was gonna do it during her speaking now portion, but
- 35:58Speaker 5: then she saved it for the mashup.
- 35:59Speaker 4: So I was we got a Long Lived too, didn't we?
- 36:01Speaker 2: She we had it in the set and then she
- 36:04Speaker 2: took it out because of torture Post's apartment.
- 36:06Speaker 5: Yes, but that was very fitting for her to end
- 36:10Speaker 5: it with Long Live. But I think she's going to
- 36:12Speaker 5: come back and do a show in La. Why do
- 36:15Speaker 5: you think that?
- 36:16Speaker 1: So I've heard this because there's like a break in
- 36:18Speaker 1: the football stadium.
- 36:20Speaker 5: I don't know about that. But she schedule, I don't
- 36:23Speaker 5: know about that. But she at the end of every
- 36:25Speaker 5: city that she visits, she makes an Instagram post saying goodbye,
- 36:29Speaker 5: like thank you so much. She never did one for La.
- 36:32Speaker 5: She hates this and no, let's be honest. She has
- 36:35Speaker 5: a team that does that for her. So she definitely
- 36:38Speaker 5: didn't just oh forgot.
- 36:40Speaker 3: They didn't forget.
- 36:41Speaker 5: She's an astronaut.
- 36:42Speaker 4: So do you think it's because she filmed the LA one?
- 36:44Speaker 5: So?
- 36:45Speaker 4: Like, So, I don't know, what.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Is your Taylor song, your Taylor Swift song that you
- 36:51Speaker 2: resonate with the mist in your life right now right now?
- 36:55Speaker 5: Hmmm, that is a good question, Lavender Hayes. I can
- 36:59Speaker 5: listening to that song so much. I love. Oh shocking,
- 37:02Speaker 5: it's like spicy. Yeah, it's fun.
- 37:05Speaker 3: What was your favorite dance style that you learned?
- 37:08Speaker 5: Ooh, I really loved I'm trying to think of what,
- 37:15Speaker 5: Like tango was cool, Waltz was cool, fox trot was cool.
- 37:20Speaker 5: I really liked the inframe ones because I loved wall
- 37:24Speaker 5: ball was so fun. So one of those probably probably
- 37:27Speaker 5: the fox trot that was fun.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Which is the one where y'all slid on your knees
- 37:30Speaker 2: at each other, the Passago Wow, oh.
- 37:33Speaker 5: We we know when we slid into each other. The
- 37:35Speaker 5: Vienie Waltz.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Wow.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, there's so many that the fans love that.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Okay, so this is my last question about your relationship. Okay,
- 37:44Speaker 3: or you're not whatever, whatever we call it. You post
- 37:48Speaker 3: a photo of you two, a collection of photos, and
- 37:50Speaker 3: you said the photos you grimlins have been one ding
- 37:54Speaker 3: or asking for.
- 37:54Speaker 5: I know what the people want. I've seen the comments.
- 37:58Speaker 5: I'me gonna sit here in lines. I haven't seen I've
- 38:00Speaker 5: seen what everybody wants. So I just gave him what
- 38:03Speaker 5: the people want.
- 38:04Speaker 3: But then people are like, oh my god, it's official,
- 38:07Speaker 3: and then you're just like, nope.
- 38:09Speaker 5: Is it? Is it not? We'll never know we'll never know.
- 38:13Speaker 5: I'll never know. My mom will never know.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Your mom doesn't know know.
- 38:17Speaker 5: Why? What is there to know?
- 38:19Speaker 3: Just if you're single or not?
- 38:21Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Does your brother I got to meet your brother at
- 38:24Speaker 3: Unforgettable Gallup?
- 38:25Speaker 5: Yes you did. Yeah, he's great. I miss it.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Would you ever do the dating apps?
- 38:32Speaker 5: God? No? Really, God no, it's too weird having your
- 38:38Speaker 5: life out there and like not everyone's seeing the badge rappe.
- 38:41Speaker 5: But I still think it's too weird that I you
- 38:45Speaker 5: just you can never be sure about someone's intentions. I
- 38:47Speaker 5: think if I went on hint or something and then like.
- 38:50Speaker 1: But you can never be sure of anyone's intentions in
- 38:52Speaker 1: real life either. Yeah, what's the difference between that app?
- 38:55Speaker 5: No, you're you're right, You're actually right. I don't know.
- 38:57Speaker 5: It's just something about being on fine, yeah, may please.
- 39:02Speaker 1: I feel as though a dating app man might be
- 39:07Speaker 1: better than in real life man.
- 39:13Speaker 5: And plenty of people do, know, so many people do.
- 39:16Speaker 4: It's not even about that. It's more like I and again.
- 39:19Speaker 3: You are so anti dating apps before, Robbie.
- 39:22Speaker 1: That I'm trying to push her to not maybe be
- 39:25Speaker 1: so harsh on it, because you could be single right
- 39:27Speaker 1: now for all we know.
- 39:28Speaker 5: I think for me though, here's the thing is, I'm
- 39:32Speaker 5: very quick to judge somebody online at least, which is bad.
- 39:36Speaker 5: It's not good. But if I I fall in love
- 39:40Speaker 5: with people's personalities very easily once I get to know them.
- 39:43Speaker 5: And for me, I'm swiping left all day long until
- 39:49Speaker 5: I don't know, dreamy dreamy comes up. Then I get
- 39:51Speaker 5: one right swep. You know, but that's not realistic for me, Like,
- 39:56Speaker 5: I need more. I need personality, and you can't really
- 39:58Speaker 5: get personality through app, I think.
- 40:01Speaker 4: So I got to take it to person real fast.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, to like drinks and stuff. But I just yeah,
- 40:06Speaker 5: I don't know. I think I would be missing some
- 40:08Speaker 5: really good eggs. Yeah on the online.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Who's your like? Who's your celebrity crush? What's your type? Physically?
- 40:13Speaker 3: I know it's more about personality, but just if you
- 40:15Speaker 3: were just like, oh, oh.
- 40:16Speaker 5: I love Chris Evans. He's been my celebrity crush for.
- 40:19Speaker 3: The Eastern celebrity crush.
- 40:21Speaker 5: Really okay, so we'll tag team him together with Pleasure.
- 40:26Speaker 5: We'll both go see you.
- 40:28Speaker 4: That is a good one.
- 40:29Speaker 5: I love him. Oh my god.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Well, I have like a random question because I feel
- 40:34Speaker 1: like it's the holidays and everybody has a little bit
- 40:36Speaker 1: of like time on their hands. What's the last show
- 40:38Speaker 1: that you binge that you were like obsessed with?
- 40:41Speaker 5: Tell me lies really good? Have you seen it?
- 40:44Speaker 4: That's the one with Grace ben Patten, right, I.
- 40:46Speaker 5: Don't know that.
- 40:46Speaker 3: That's the one that you keep telling me to watch.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah yeah, so season too. Yes, Okay,
- 40:55Speaker 1: I haven't finished Sae.
- 40:56Speaker 5: I haven't finished it either, but I love it. Okay,
- 40:58Speaker 5: it's okay, okay.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Just co announced for season three.
- 41:01Speaker 5: Really that just broke I remember I was on that
- 41:04Speaker 5: show for the longest time and all my friends were like,
- 41:06Speaker 5: what is it? I was like, you have to watch it,
- 41:07Speaker 5: you have to watch it.
- 41:08Speaker 4: The season one was crazy, so crazy?
- 41:10Speaker 3: Yeah, so good, so good.
- 41:12Speaker 5: You like me, You like toxic things.
- 41:16Speaker 3: If you're like me, not mad, not mad, not mad,
- 41:20Speaker 3: not mad.
- 41:21Speaker 5: I very me too, me too, But I like the
- 41:25Speaker 5: show is very traumatic and toxic and it's nice to watch.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Not to It's not your real life, yes anymore.
- 41:32Speaker 4: It used to be not anything interesting.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you're about eight months out from that situation.
- 41:38Speaker 5: Yes, No, I've like crazy enough. I have dated a
- 41:41Speaker 5: lot of crazy people like I don't all.
- 41:43Speaker 3: What is that? Is it the thrill? Like, do you
- 41:45Speaker 3: think there's a thrill in that?
- 41:47Speaker 5: I think I'm a very empathy empathetic person, and I
- 41:50Speaker 5: think I tracked a lot of narcissistic people. Is what
- 41:52Speaker 5: I've read online is what happens when you're very empathetic,
- 41:55Speaker 5: like the narcissism to.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Did you have when you you were do like in hindsight, now,
- 42:01Speaker 2: after everything that happened with the person that you chose
- 42:04Speaker 2: on the Bachelorette, did you look back and have moments
- 42:09Speaker 2: where you're like, oh, I noticed that and I ignored it?
- 42:12Speaker 2: Or were you was it like completely he completely fooled
- 42:15Speaker 2: you and you had no it was just like no
- 42:18Speaker 2: red flags.
- 42:19Speaker 5: No red flags. But kind of apparently I was wiping
- 42:22Speaker 5: away the red flags all season, so maybe I didn't
- 42:26Speaker 5: see the red flags.
- 42:27Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe you have a blinders onto the red flags.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Yeah I did, But now now I I think I
- 42:33Speaker 5: can spot a red flag if it came at me glaringly.
- 42:37Speaker 3: No peripheral, just see me straight on.
- 42:39Speaker 5: You have to be out of its back.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Do you have plans for the New Year, for the
- 42:48Speaker 1: meeting like New Year's Eve?
- 42:49Speaker 5: Oh? Do you what are you guys doing.
- 42:53Speaker 4: Yes, I do have plans.
- 42:54Speaker 5: Oh what are you doing?
- 42:55Speaker 4: I will be in New York City?
- 42:57Speaker 5: Are you watching the ball drop? Hang out? Yeah?
- 43:00Speaker 4: That's cool my friends. There's just gonna like go out.
- 43:02Speaker 5: Oh, that'll be fun. I've never been to the city
- 43:05Speaker 5: for New Year's if I don't think.
- 43:06Speaker 1: But we were talking before we started rolling about just
- 43:11Speaker 1: New Year's even gentlemen, and I feel like it is
- 43:14Speaker 1: such an interesting holiday because it's true. It's like there's
- 43:16Speaker 1: so much expectation around it, so much, and then you
- 43:19Speaker 1: really like, I don't want to do anything deep down.
- 43:23Speaker 5: Like my soul. I want to stay home.
- 43:27Speaker 4: You should because you want to like start the new
- 43:29Speaker 4: year off right.
- 43:31Speaker 5: Yeah. Yes, I go through this dilemma. I feel like
- 43:33Speaker 5: every year. Every year. Yeah, I'm like, I want to
- 43:36Speaker 5: do it big. I want to dress up. No, no, no,
- 43:39Speaker 5: and then one I either get disappointed or two I
- 43:42Speaker 5: end up staying home. And I think every year I've
- 43:45Speaker 5: stayed home, it's been really great.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I love being at home. We're probably going to stay
- 43:49Speaker 2: home and make vision boards or something.
- 43:51Speaker 4: So you on many of those.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very wholesome.
- 43:55Speaker 5: Yeah, like have some good food, some good drinks, stay
- 43:57Speaker 5: in your pjs like thak of vision Board low key.
- 44:02Speaker 5: And also I hate like standing in line for a
- 44:05Speaker 5: bar or something like.
- 44:07Speaker 2: That's if I have to stand in line, don't and
- 44:09Speaker 2: buye me. That's how I feel.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I hate that.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I'm just like to go in and what yeah, land around. Yeah,
- 44:17Speaker 3: well that's a rise stand in line? Yeah me too, but.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Like standing in line to like be bumped around. Yeah no,
- 44:24Speaker 2: it's just why let me go home?
- 44:27Speaker 5: Yeah, And I feel like that's a big thing with
- 44:28Speaker 5: New Yor's Eve is everyone's buying tickets to something, yeah,
- 44:31Speaker 5: and then it just gets crowded and you're waiting in lines,
- 44:34Speaker 5: and it's it's never as good as it seems.
- 44:35Speaker 3: It's it's never as good as Instagram makes it a lot.
- 44:38Speaker 5: Yes, I remember when you're in Boston. I was like,
- 44:40Speaker 5: it's gonna be the best new Ys ever. I made
- 44:42Speaker 5: all my friends buy tickets to this like really cool
- 44:45Speaker 5: like hotel, downtown party whatever. I thought it was gonna
- 44:48Speaker 5: be the best time in my life. The Instagram videos
- 44:49Speaker 5: seemed really fun. We get in there, it's the age
- 44:55Speaker 5: range is like sixty to eighty. We literally accidentally signed
- 44:59Speaker 5: up for like senior home like New Year's Eve event.
- 45:04Speaker 5: But I have to say it was really fun. I
- 45:06Speaker 5: didn't get a New Year's kiss, but it was the
- 45:08Speaker 5: best time of my life. The old people really know
- 45:10Speaker 5: how to do it up.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Yes, we had to.
- 45:12Speaker 1: We went to We drove to Tahoe for New Year's
- 45:15Speaker 1: EEP one year and did the same thing. It was
- 45:17Speaker 1: like the hotel we were checking and they're like, oh,
- 45:19Speaker 1: we're throwing a masquerade, Like do you guys want to
- 45:21Speaker 1: buy tickets? And we were like, sure, what else are
- 45:23Speaker 1: we gonna do, like stay in our hotel room, So
- 45:26Speaker 1: by tickets to this masquerade and it was like older
- 45:29Speaker 1: people and we had a blast. They gave us like
- 45:32Speaker 1: masquerade masks and like we didn't know a single person
- 45:36Speaker 1: there and had like the time.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Of our lives.
- 45:38Speaker 3: That's what you make it.
- 45:39Speaker 4: It is what you make it.
- 45:41Speaker 5: Do you do?
- 45:42Speaker 2: You find the couch you're sleeping on quite cozy? Are
- 45:45Speaker 2: you ready to be in a in like a bed
- 45:48Speaker 2: m in the New Year?
- 45:51Speaker 4: You sleep on his couch.
- 45:52Speaker 5: I love the couch, which is really great. It's really great.
- 45:56Speaker 5: It's green, it's one of my favorite colors. It's comfy
- 46:00Speaker 5: right next to the fires, it's never cold. We'll see
- 46:05Speaker 5: I don't know. Maybe we'll find a new couch, but
- 46:08Speaker 5: maybe we'll stay there. I don't know. I don't know.
- 46:12Speaker 5: How are you guys doing how?
- 46:18Speaker 3: I'm like amazed by the just like the dodging questions
- 46:24Speaker 3: left and right.
- 46:24Speaker 5: It's really you're getting worse at them.
- 46:26Speaker 3: I have to say, you're on the couch. She's couch
- 46:32Speaker 3: hopping with a friend, couch surfing, couch surfing.
- 46:35Speaker 4: But you're not going to many couches. Just one couch
- 46:38Speaker 4: so far.
- 46:39Speaker 5: Just one couch.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so far the new year, new couch. Potentially there
- 46:44Speaker 3: we go.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Yeah, because I guess you can't really get at lease
- 46:46Speaker 4: till March.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Right. Well, I still have my apartment in Miami, but
- 46:49Speaker 5: now I'm gonna have to upsize. Is that a word.
- 46:52Speaker 5: I'm gonna have to get a new apartment because my
- 46:54Speaker 5: pr is through the roof and I live in a
- 46:57Speaker 5: one bedroom and I've been having my home friends like
- 47:00Speaker 5: come to my apartment and pick up my packages, water
- 47:03Speaker 5: the plants. I don't have plants, but they open my
- 47:05Speaker 5: mail and they've been setting me photos the progress photos
- 47:09Speaker 5: of my living room getting progressively smaller because of all
- 47:12Speaker 5: the packages in it, which is why I'm going home
- 47:15Speaker 5: in January just to like sort out the package situation.
- 47:18Speaker 5: But I'm gonna have to get a new apartment and
- 47:20Speaker 5: have like a package room because it's getting crazy.
- 47:24Speaker 3: Isn't that crazy? How life?
- 47:26Speaker 2: Like you make one decision and said yes to going
- 47:29Speaker 2: on the show and now it's just.
- 47:33Speaker 5: It's been crazy. It's really crazy.
- 47:35Speaker 3: The butterflies.
- 47:36Speaker 5: It's been the greatest ride of my life. But I'm
- 47:39Speaker 5: such a pessimist because I'm like, Okay, when is the
- 47:42Speaker 5: shoe gonna drop? When is my downfall? I know?
- 47:45Speaker 4: But she can't think like that.
- 47:46Speaker 5: No, I know.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Very bad, it's very bad because like at the end
- 47:49Speaker 1: of the day, even like I used to think this
- 47:52Speaker 1: way too about my relationship, Like I was like, okay,
- 47:54Speaker 1: just like everything's just going too well, like gonna drop.
- 47:57Speaker 1: And I was talking to my therapist about it, and
- 47:59Speaker 1: she was like, even when you're married and you have kids,
- 48:03Speaker 1: the shoe, you know what I mean, Like the shoe
- 48:04Speaker 1: can always drop and people think, oh, I just need
- 48:06Speaker 1: to get I just need to get engaged, or I just
- 48:08Speaker 1: need to get married and then I'll feel safe and
- 48:09Speaker 1: then whatever.
- 48:10Speaker 4: But it's like the shoe can always drop totally.
- 48:12Speaker 1: So it's like you just have to get that mentality
- 48:15Speaker 1: out of your head.
- 48:16Speaker 5: Okay, So mine was.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Always just like I just need to get engaged.
- 48:18Speaker 1: I need to get engaged because then we're like official
- 48:21Speaker 1: and like that's safe area.
- 48:23Speaker 4: But then it's like it's not.
- 48:24Speaker 5: But it's not because it's something could still happen.
- 48:27Speaker 4: You never know.
- 48:28Speaker 5: Yes, so to just be more present and just enjoy
- 48:32Speaker 5: the time that you're having rather being anxious in the future.
- 48:35Speaker 5: Very true.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Here's my question. Would you be open to doing another
- 48:39Speaker 3: reality show?
- 48:40Speaker 5: It depends on what show it is, Special.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Forces, maybe Traders.
- 48:45Speaker 5: Maybe I haven't watched it, so I don't know. I've
- 48:48Speaker 5: heard it. I've heard it's like Mafia, Yeah, which is fun.
- 48:53Speaker 5: I've done that with my friends. I would have to
- 48:56Speaker 5: watch it to know for sure. My type of show,
- 49:00Speaker 5: Survivor's not my Idealistically, like my my cool brain thinks
- 49:05Speaker 5: that I could do that. I could not. I could
- 49:07Speaker 5: never do that. I'm not slipping naked in the jungle
- 49:09Speaker 5: like it's not happening. I love my curling iron I'm
- 49:13Speaker 5: not that cool amazing race. Maybe that sounds really fun, yeah,
- 49:19Speaker 5: but I really want to do like a cooking show
- 49:22Speaker 5: like British Baking show. No, I'm not British Night and
- 49:25Speaker 5: I do bake, but I'm not like as amazing, but
- 49:27Speaker 5: like Chopped or something.
- 49:28Speaker 4: You can check out Crime Scene Kitchen.
- 49:29Speaker 5: What is that?
- 49:30Speaker 4: It's good?
- 49:31Speaker 5: What is it?
- 49:32Speaker 1: It's like okay, so it's on Fox. It's hosted by
- 49:34Speaker 1: Jewel McHale. Okay, and basically they like make something in
- 49:37Speaker 1: a kitchen and you have like they leave it clues
- 49:39Speaker 1: as to what it is. Oh, you figure out what
- 49:42Speaker 1: between the clues like what to bake, and then you
- 49:44Speaker 1: all have like however long to bake the thing?
- 49:46Speaker 4: That's fine, really fine, Oh I want to go.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Some people get it really wrong and they end up
- 49:50Speaker 1: making this like delicious, elaborate thing and it's just like wrong.
- 49:53Speaker 5: They take nobody so that don't know how to cook.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I don't think you're nobody, but they probably would love
- 49:57Speaker 3: the fact that it only is it.
- 50:00Speaker 4: They feel they feel talented.
- 50:02Speaker 3: No, maybe they'll do a celebrity edition.
- 50:04Speaker 5: I know I'm talentless.
- 50:07Speaker 3: It's not true actually at all.
- 50:10Speaker 5: Well, I'm not an amazing bit like like I can bake,
- 50:13Speaker 5: but I need like a recipe, like I'm not just
- 50:15Speaker 5: like this is how much.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Coke, Like if you tried, like Marlapan and like whatever,
- 50:19Speaker 1: that is like a souple that it's amazing, it's impressive.
- 50:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I am just so happy for you, and it's
- 50:31Speaker 2: so fun to get to talk to you. Like obviously
- 50:34Speaker 2: we've been trying to get you on the show for
- 50:35Speaker 2: a long time, but I'm so happy that we got
- 50:37Speaker 2: to have you in a season of joy and confidence
- 50:40Speaker 2: and happiness because I know it's been like such a
- 50:43Speaker 2: crazy year for you, and I think we both are
- 50:46Speaker 2: just so happy for you.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Whatever life comes, whatever, Thank you. No, I'm so happy
- 50:52Speaker 3: that we got to do this, and we can't wait
