- 0:57Speaker 1: Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well,
- 1:04Speaker 1: you guys, last night I did watch most of the
- 1:08Speaker 1: Wendy Williams four part documentary. It is really sad, but it's,
- 1:16Speaker 1: let me just tell you about it because now I
- 1:18Speaker 1: can say that in it, the family is featured and
- 1:21Speaker 1: the family is basically saying the family includes her son
- 1:25Speaker 1: and And her niece and nephew, who all seem really lovely.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We also see her dad. Her mom has since passed.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Her brother. She has a great family that's very supportive
- 1:36Speaker 1: of her. And when she was going through these issues
- 1:40Speaker 1: where she was like, Wells Fargo took my money, it's
- 1:42Speaker 1: my understanding that Wells Fargo thought there was something going on.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Too much money was coming out of her account too quickly.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And they said, we think we need to protect her.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So she's in Miami having fun with her family and everything.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And that is when a judge came in and said,
- 1:59Speaker 1: you need to have a guardian, Wendy Williams, other than
- 2:03Speaker 1: your family. So as we're watching this documentary happen, which
- 2:06Speaker 1: I guess she agreed to do when she agreed to
- 2:09Speaker 1: do the first documentary that took place a couple of
- 2:12Speaker 1: years ago. But since then, we see her. And, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 1: physically her health is not good. But also she's very
- 2:21Speaker 1: erratic and mean to people. Like she's getting her nails
- 2:24Speaker 1: done and all of a sudden she's really nice to
- 2:26Speaker 1: the nail lady. And then she's like, what are you, stupid?
- 2:30Speaker 1: I told you only to do one layer, one coat.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And the girl's like, no. And, you know, she'll– not
- 2:37Speaker 1: remember people's names and things. And so a lot of
- 2:39Speaker 1: people watching it, it's very triggering if they have someone
- 2:42Speaker 1: who has dementia or Alzheimer's in their life, where their
- 2:45Speaker 1: personality switched from being nice to mean to pulling things
- 2:50Speaker 1: out of the air that don't exist. And we see it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: And we see this girl come into her life who
- 2:56Speaker 1: is the PR person who her niece is very weary of.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It's very, that all of it is very, very juicy.
- 3:05Speaker 1: It's very sad to me being that I know Wendy Williams,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I've worked on Wendy Williams' show, that if I was
- 3:12Speaker 1: ever to be going through this medical issue and diagnosis,
- 3:17Speaker 1: because now they said she does have early dementia brought
- 3:21Speaker 1: on by her alcohol abuse, most likely, I wouldn't want
- 3:26Speaker 1: this to be airing. I wouldn't want people to see
- 3:31Speaker 1: me struggling. I wouldn't want people to see me being
- 3:34Speaker 1: rude on camera to people when that wasn't Wendy before.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And like I said, I understand this deal was sold.
- 3:42Speaker 1: She agreed to let these people come in. But that's
- 3:45Speaker 1: where I'm like, well, where does this guardianship who's not
- 3:48Speaker 1: her family allowing this to happen? And then she doesn't
- 3:51Speaker 1: get to see her family as much because the family
- 3:53Speaker 1: is in Miami. And the judge says she has to
- 3:56Speaker 1: stay in New York because that is where the court
- 3:58Speaker 1: appointed guardian is. And then she'll get someone into her
- 4:01Speaker 1: life who's like, let's sell your apartment. It's just crazy.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And then they go on this one meeting, which is
- 4:08Speaker 1: so sad, where she's like, we're going to go see NBC. Oh,
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's good. They're going to want to have me on.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And it reminds me of this old movie called Sunset Boulevard,
- 4:19Speaker 1: where this movie star thinks that they're calling her again
- 4:23Speaker 1: from Hollywood. And they say, come to the studio. And
- 4:26Speaker 1: she's like, oh, they're going to want me back. They're
- 4:27Speaker 1: going to want me back in Hollywood. And all they
- 4:29Speaker 1: wanted was her old car to use for a film.
- 4:32Speaker 1: They were like, oh, we know that, you know, this
- 4:34Speaker 1: actress has this old car. And it's a great classic movie,
- 4:38Speaker 1: but you're watching it documentary style. And you know that
- 4:42Speaker 1: when these executives meet with Wendy Williams in this meeting,
- 4:47Speaker 1: which they don't film, you know, they're going to realize, wow,
- 4:50Speaker 1: she is definitely not capable of handling any kind of
- 4:54Speaker 1: real TV show. This is not who we're going to
- 4:55Speaker 1: put our money in. They get into a little bit
- 4:59Speaker 1: what happened with Wendy Williams' show ending. However, no one's
- 5:04Speaker 1: speaking on that. But DJ Booth, who was part of
- 5:09Speaker 1: the staff show, he does say that the staff did
- 5:13Speaker 1: not know things were that bad when they were giving
- 5:15Speaker 1: her all these. stints of where she would take time off.
- 5:18Speaker 1: That's when I was like part of the rotating guests
- 5:22Speaker 1: and panels and things. It was always that they were
- 5:24Speaker 1: hoping that she would come back. They were always speaking
- 5:27Speaker 1: so highly of her. And I don't think anyone knew
- 5:30Speaker 1: that her drinking was that bad and that that was
- 5:35Speaker 1: in fact causing the forgetfulness and the change of personality.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So I just hope now that we know this, where
- 5:42Speaker 1: is Wendy Williams? Now we know where she is. I
- 5:44Speaker 1: hope that These family members that were featured can really
- 5:49Speaker 1: just gather around her, get her the best help that
- 5:51Speaker 1: she needs. And hopefully she gets, you know, improves. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: if she doesn't, that she is able to lead a
- 5:59Speaker 1: private life at this point. That's what I really hope
- 6:01Speaker 1: because it's really, really sad. Also, my God, there is
- 6:06Speaker 1: a lawsuit, another P. Diddy lawsuit. Former male employee who
- 6:11Speaker 1: was a producer and videographer is alleging that he was
- 6:15Speaker 1: sexually assaulted numerous times, numerous occasions by P. Diddy. by
- 6:20Speaker 1: people that P. Diddy introduced him to, by situations that
- 6:23Speaker 1: this person was put into. He's suing for $ 30 million.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And already there are discrepancies in his lawsuits coming forth.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He said that there was a guy named Stevie J
- 6:37Speaker 1: who was having sex with another man and P. Diddy
- 6:43Speaker 1: forced him to watch that. And TMZ just reported that
- 6:47Speaker 1: a gay porn star is saying that's not That was me.
- 6:50Speaker 1: That wasn't Stevie J. I don't know. It's real messy.
- 6:53Speaker 1: There's lots and lots of things. And it's another lawsuit,
- 6:57Speaker 1: this time by a male employee against P.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Diddy.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And of course, P. Diddy's attorney is saying this is
- 7:04Speaker 1: just someone looking for an undeserved payday. So he's got
- 7:09Speaker 1: his work cut out for him. Jennifer Lopez. I talked
- 7:12Speaker 1: about the movie. This is me. And she said there
- 7:16Speaker 1: were a bunch of cameos that She asked people to
- 7:19Speaker 1: that couldn't do it. And some of the people that
- 7:21Speaker 1: turned her down were Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Jason Momoa,
- 7:25Speaker 1: Jennifer Coolidge. Oh, God. I say, J-Lo, I'm sorry I
- 7:30Speaker 1: can't make it. I'd so much like to do a
- 7:33Speaker 1: little funny sketch with you. Lizzo, Vanessa Hudgenson, and Snoop
- 7:38Speaker 1: Dogg all passed because they were unavailable. So I thought
- 7:42Speaker 1: that was interesting. Tom Sandoval.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 7:46Speaker 1: The fight for this Valley Village home with Ariana is
- 7:51Speaker 1: never ending. Now he is saying, I did a loan.
- 7:56Speaker 1: There was a loan that he gave to Ariana for $ 90, 000.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And he wants to get that money back before he
- 8:03Speaker 1: does any kind of selling of this house. Apparently now
- 8:07Speaker 1: the house is worth like $ 3 million. They bought it
- 8:08Speaker 1: for a little over $ 2 million. And we don't know
- 8:11Speaker 1: why she... if it's true or why she's holding up.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But they're going back and forth with their thing from
- 8:17Speaker 1: Vanderpump Rules. I hope everybody watched me on CMZ last night.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You can watch it again on Hulu. We do the
- 8:25Speaker 1: whole story of Taylor and Travis and how they met.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And I give, you know, my Juicy Scoop wisdom as always.
- 8:33Speaker 1: But recently, just now, the dad.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Got involved, Scott Swift, is being accused of assaulting an
- 8:41Speaker 1: Australian photographer while celebrating the end of his daughter's heiress tour.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So this photographer, who's 51, whose last name is McDonald,
- 8:50Speaker 1: no relation, I guess came too close to her. He
- 8:53Speaker 1: physically pushed him away. Now the guy's coming after him.
- 8:56Speaker 1: But in 2005, Nicole Kidman got a restraining order against him.
- 9:03Speaker 1: So I don't think so. But I kind of love
- 9:06Speaker 1: that the dad is working and, like, protecting her. Oh,
- 9:10Speaker 1: my gosh. 90 Day Fiancé. I know I have not
- 9:12Speaker 1: talked about it in a long time. But you know
- 9:14Speaker 1: one of the original couples was Angela and Michael. Michael!
- 9:21Speaker 3: Angela! Michael!
- 9:21Speaker 1: Michael went missing in America. And they didn't know what happened. Well,
- 9:28Speaker 1: according to Reality Blurb, he has been found after being
- 9:31Speaker 1: reportedly missing by Angela for two months. after he moved
- 9:35Speaker 1: to America from Nigeria. So I was reading the comments.
- 9:39Speaker 1: A lot of people think that he's going to come
- 9:41Speaker 1: forward and try to say that she was abusive or something,
- 9:44Speaker 1: because then he can still get his green card and
- 9:46Speaker 1: get everything he needs and get the hell away from her.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's no surprise that this couple isn't, you know, you know,
- 9:52Speaker 1: happily in love, but they were one of the original
- 9:54Speaker 1: 90 day fiance people. And I found it to be
- 9:56Speaker 1: kind of funny. Sister was Mary, she had that boyfriend
- 10:01Speaker 1: for four months, no longer, they're broken up. So Kim
- 10:06Speaker 1: Kardashian's getting some heat because as you know, she's trying
- 10:08Speaker 1: to be a lawyer still, I guess. And she posted
- 10:11Speaker 1: the wrong man. She posted just a normal guy living
- 10:15Speaker 1: in New York and saying, everyone needs to gather around
- 10:18Speaker 1: and get this guy out of jail. You know, he's innocent.
- 10:21Speaker 1: But this guy was not in jail at all. She
- 10:23Speaker 1: posted the wrong name, the wrong photo. So I don't
- 10:26Speaker 1: know who's working for her, but maybe, you know, she
- 10:29Speaker 1: has to actually hire like a real law clerk to
- 10:31Speaker 1: help her with her social media that involves lawyer things.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Maybe she can't just get, whoever did this needs to
- 10:36Speaker 1: go back and refold the G-string beige skim underwear instead.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Of doing this because she screwed up.
- 10:45Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:45Speaker 1: The latest in the Brandi Glanville saga of Real Housewives
- 10:49Speaker 1: of Bravo, Real Housewives of everything involving Andy Cohen. She
- 10:54Speaker 1: has Mark Garagos as a top notch attorney who at
- 10:58Speaker 1: one time represented Scott Peterson. Yes. Anyway, he has representing
- 11:03Speaker 1: her saying that she was in fact sexually harassed by
- 11:07Speaker 1: Andy Cohen on an occasion where they did a FaceTime call.
- 11:10Speaker 1: and he was talking about having sex with Bravo celebrities,
- 11:13Speaker 1: and he called her. He immediately did a post saying,
- 11:18Speaker 1: this was a joking thing I did with Brandi Glanville.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I was with Kate Chastain, also a Bravo celebrity. However,
- 11:24Speaker 1: totally inappropriate. I apologize. She then has come out and said,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I still have not received any apology from you. You
- 11:30Speaker 1: doing a post is not an apology to me. Now,
- 11:34Speaker 1: as we know, Brandi Glanville is named in a lawsuit
- 11:37Speaker 1: of Caroline Manzo against Bravo. She's not suing Brandy, she's
- 11:41Speaker 1: saying that Bravo and Bravo producers have allowed Brandy to
- 11:46Speaker 1: act in this behavior, keeping her on shows for years
- 11:49Speaker 1: and years and years when she's behaved bad, grabbed at people,
- 11:52Speaker 1: acted inebriated. They've allowed it to happen. They've encouraged it
- 11:56Speaker 1: to happen. And therefore, they are responsible for Caroline Manzo
- 11:59Speaker 1: being a victim of sexual assault. Meanwhile, in the Caroline
- 12:04Speaker 1: Manzo world, her brother-in-law, who was married to her actual
- 12:08Speaker 1: biological sister, Dina. They got divorced, and then Dina and
- 12:14Speaker 1: her new husband were attacked in Dina's home. They believe
- 12:19Speaker 1: that Dina's ex-husband, who was also brother-in-law to Caroline Manzo,
- 12:24Speaker 1: so get it, the two sisters married two brothers, was
- 12:27Speaker 1: responsible for hiring the man that came in and physically
- 12:30Speaker 1: attacked Dina Manzo and her new husband. This caused a
- 12:36Speaker 1: lot of problems with people in this world because they
- 12:39Speaker 1: were writing letters defending Dino Manzo's ex-husband. Anyway, the judge
- 12:46Speaker 1: has dismissed the case. So Caroline Manzo's brother-in-law, Dino Manzo's ex-husband,
- 12:51Speaker 1: will no longer be facing any kind of trial or
- 12:56Speaker 1: anything where they thought that he set up the plan
- 13:00Speaker 1: for these people to be attacked. So that was a
- 13:02Speaker 1: big win for the Manzo family, not for Dina. But
- 13:07Speaker 1: that's lots of drama there in the juicy world. Also,
- 13:11Speaker 1: Brielle got engaged. Yes, Brielle is engaged. That is Kim
- 13:16Speaker 1: Zolciak's daughter and Troy's stepdaughter. She is engaged at 24
- 13:20Speaker 1: years old to a very cute looking guy. All right, everybody,
- 13:23Speaker 1: go to heathermcdolland.net. You're going to join my Patreon. But also,
- 13:27Speaker 1: that is where all my dates are. And I have...
- 13:30Speaker 1: New dates coming out, and I can't announce it yet,
- 13:33Speaker 1: but there'll be a new date in Florida coming in March.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So you're going to want to go to that in April.
- 13:40Speaker 1: All of the dates are there at heathermcdoll.net, along with
- 13:43Speaker 1: joining my juicy Patreon every Friday and so much more.
- 13:46Speaker 1: All right, and now for a super juicy interview. and
- 13:49Speaker 1: welcome to Juicy Scoop. I'm very excited because I have
- 13:53Speaker 1: been wondering what your life has been like for the
- 13:56Speaker 1: last few months. I am with newest Real Housewives of
- 13:58Speaker 1: Beverly Hills, Anna Marie Wiley.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Thank you for having me.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I have been talking about it because, you know, being
- 14:05Speaker 1: a big fan of Housewives and also knowing how it works,
- 14:08Speaker 1: seeing how it's changed over the years with social media
- 14:11Speaker 1: and how you, you know, if you were on this
- 14:14Speaker 1: show as a new member, season two of OC. Mm-hmm.
- 14:19Speaker 1: And you would never know how all these very vocal
- 14:24Speaker 1: fans feel about you as each episode airs.
- 14:29Speaker 2: That is very correct. I will definitely say one of
- 14:33Speaker 2: the most challenging things to navigate has been social media.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Because prior to this, I was a very private person.
- 14:42Speaker 2: You are married.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You're a mom of three.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So I have four children. So I have a stepdaughter
- 14:47Speaker 2: that's 24. My son is eight, and then I have
- 14:50Speaker 2: two girls that are five and almost four.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Okay, great.
- 14:53Speaker 2: So very, very busy. Our house is like constant chaos.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I also work part-time. I'm a nurse anesthesiologist, and I'm married.
- 15:02Speaker 2: My husband and I will be married for 10 years
- 15:04Speaker 2: this year. He is a former NFL player and current broadcaster.
- 15:09Speaker 2: So that's why, you know, I'm used to being around
- 15:14Speaker 2: all the things.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Some media and all that. Him being famous and people
- 15:17Speaker 1: approaching him at restaurants and things like that.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. How did you guys meet again? We met
- 15:21Speaker 2: at a birthday party, actually. Yeah, it was one of
- 15:24Speaker 2: his former teammates. And it was at a club in Hollywood.
- 15:29Speaker 2: And I went with a mutual friend and we hit
- 15:33Speaker 2: it off that night. And we were literally... Like we
- 15:36Speaker 2: were engaged within nine months. Everything happened like very fast.
- 15:40Speaker 2: And I was a resident at the time. So we
- 15:43Speaker 2: waited until I was done school. And then we got
- 15:45Speaker 2: married right away after and then got pregnant with our
- 15:48Speaker 2: first child three months later.
- 15:51Speaker 4: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 15:53Speaker 4: know about the drawer. The drawer. Just the one square
- 15:58Speaker 4: before bed. Or two, you know. Nobody's watching. You deserve
- 16:05Speaker 4: a treat. With eight flavours to choose from, you can
- 16:11Speaker 4: choose the flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 16:24Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 16:27Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 16:31Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 16:39Speaker 1: filed against me.
- 16:40Speaker 4: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 16:42Speaker 4: what would you do if it was given back?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 16:48Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 16:50Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 16:52Speaker 2: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 16:54Speaker 2: started crying.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 17:00Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through.
- 17:02Speaker 2: It's about what happens next. I decided to risk it all.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I realized how valuable every day was.
- 17:07Speaker 1: You're worth the work.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 17:10Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it shakes.
- 17:12Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 17:26Speaker 1: So you live this mom life as well as being,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you know, a nurse. Everyone says I'm saying it wrong.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Aren't you a nurse of Anesthesiology or no? What is
- 17:37Speaker 1: the proper name of it?
- 17:39Speaker 2: So let me explain because this is where it gets so,
- 17:42Speaker 2: and rightfully so, it's complicated for people, right? Because if
- 17:47Speaker 2: you have never heard of us before, and the title
- 17:49Speaker 2: has actually recently changed as of three years ago. So
- 17:53Speaker 2: I graduated from anesthesia in 2013, and I have a
- 17:58Speaker 2: master's degree. And our title at that time was nurse anesthetist.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Our professional association, the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology, in
- 18:07Speaker 2: 2020 changed our professional title from nurse anesthetist to nurse anesthesiologist.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So you have physician anesthesiologists that are MDs that practice anesthesia,
- 18:18Speaker 2: and you have nurse anesthesiologists that are RNs that practice anesthesia.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Now, can you put someone completely under general as well
- 18:25Speaker 1: as a nurse?
- 18:25Speaker 2: That is what I do. Oh, okay.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 2: So I am a registered nurse. And do you do a.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Private practice like for plastic surgery or at ER centers
- 18:32Speaker 1: or wherever?
- 18:32Speaker 2: We practice everywhere. Oh, okay. Everywhere and anywhere that anesthesia
- 18:36Speaker 2: is needed, that is where we practice.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 18:38Speaker 2: We do general, monitored anesthesia care, regional anesthesia, OB anesthesia.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And have you.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Have you always worked at least part-time in your profession
- 18:46Speaker 1: while being a mom?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah. So I used to work at a very large
- 18:51Speaker 2: major hospital in Los Angeles before we started having kids.
- 18:55Speaker 2: And then once we had our first, I wanted to
- 18:59Speaker 2: make sure that I had that work-life balance that I
- 19:02Speaker 2: really craved and that I was really able to be
- 19:05Speaker 2: there for my family. So then I started working at
- 19:08Speaker 2: surgery centers and working for myself. And so that's why
- 19:12Speaker 2: I'm able to work part-time now and And be a
- 19:15Speaker 2: mom and be there for my husband and there to
- 19:18Speaker 2: run my household.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So you're having your busy life, your mom life, your
- 19:21Speaker 1: wifey life, your nurse life.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:24Speaker 1: What was your relationship with Housewives? Were you someone who
- 19:27Speaker 1: watched it? Did you enjoy it? What was your relationship
- 19:30Speaker 1: before you were approached?
- 19:32Speaker 2: So let me say this. I don't watch TV. Like
- 19:34Speaker 2: I do not watch. I haven't watched TV in years.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Like I just don't have time. Like I'm a very,
- 19:40Speaker 2: very busy person. I have such a crazy life. I
- 19:42Speaker 2: go to bed at like 8 o'clock. because I wake
- 19:45Speaker 2: up at 4.30 in the morning to work out. So
- 19:47Speaker 2: I do not watch TV. But I used to watch it,
- 19:51Speaker 2: I want to say the first maybe like six seasons
- 19:54Speaker 2: or so.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Oh, Beverly Hills.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yes. So like this is before I married, before I
- 19:58Speaker 2: had kids and everything, I used to watch it. But then,
- 20:00Speaker 2: you know, I haven't watched it in however many years
- 20:01Speaker 2: that is now. And then, so when we moved into
- 20:05Speaker 2: our current house about two and a half years ago.
- 20:08Speaker 1: And that house is In an area of the valley,
- 20:10Speaker 1: which is Encino, very, very nice, but very close to
- 20:14Speaker 1: where Dorit and Kyle live. So it makes sense.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:18Speaker 1: That, you know, that you guys could be friendly.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yes.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Okay. Yes. So go on. So we move into our
- 20:25Speaker 2: house and we bought our home through the agency, Mauricio's. Oh, okay. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 2: Mauricio's company. So and then a few months later they had,
- 20:35Speaker 2: I guess, like a VIP party at their house.
- 20:37Speaker 1: For like their best clients or whatever.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Exactly. So as we're looking and, you know, we're running
- 20:40Speaker 2: around town doing the holiday party gamut and we look
- 20:43Speaker 2: at the invitation and we're like, oh, that's on our street.
- 20:45Speaker 2: We're like, yeah, let's go pop in. So we went in.
- 20:48Speaker 2: And they thought my husband was hilarious because he is.
- 20:50Speaker 2: He's such a character. And so, you know, we just
- 20:53Speaker 2: like kind of all hit it off. And then that
- 20:56Speaker 2: was it. Because this is nothing that had ever been
- 20:58Speaker 2: on my radar. Like I said, I was very happy
- 21:01Speaker 2: being a private person. You know, and also like we
- 21:05Speaker 2: have a lot of like famous friends and things like that.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And it was just never something that I really saw
- 21:10Speaker 2: for myself. My husband, he's like, you know what?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Why not?
- 21:13Speaker 2: He's like, it's something for you. He's been telling me
- 21:16Speaker 2: for years, he's like, you're such like a multi-dimensional person.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Like you're a multi-hyphenate. You do so many things. He's like,
- 21:23Speaker 2: you should do a blog, a podcast, something. And so
- 21:25Speaker 2: he's like, you know what? Go have fun. Go do this.
- 21:28Speaker 2: It's something for you. You can use the platform to
- 21:31Speaker 2: do what you want to do with it, which is
- 21:32Speaker 2: ultimately to inspire people. And so I was like, you
- 21:36Speaker 2: know what? Why not? And I'm, you know, I'm kind
- 21:38Speaker 2: of just in a point in my life, like I'm 41.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I'm like, say yes. You know what I mean? Like
- 21:42Speaker 2: try new things.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So you meet them and what's the initial meeting? Do
- 21:46Speaker 1: they come to your house or is it over the
- 21:47Speaker 1: phone or what?
- 21:48Speaker 2: I mean, Alex called me. I talked to him for
- 21:51Speaker 2: a while and then casting called me immediately right after that.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I've heard it's a really extensive process, like eight months and.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Tons of women. I think that every season is kind
- 22:02Speaker 1: of different.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:03Speaker 1: You know, they always would rather have something that makes sense.
- 22:06Speaker 1: And I think if they find it, like any casting,
- 22:08Speaker 1: like when I used to audition for things, I'd always
- 22:10Speaker 1: feel like they were against me. And I'm like, no,
- 22:13Speaker 1: they want their job to end.
- 22:14Speaker 2: They want it to be simple.
- 22:16Speaker 1: They want it to be simple. So if they find
- 22:17Speaker 1: someone and they must have thought that it would be
- 22:20Speaker 1: a good natural fit. And I know that they– it
- 22:24Speaker 1: makes sense that they want people younger. Yeah. With younger kids.
- 22:27Speaker 2: And with families.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Because as time goes on, you want– you know, when
- 22:30Speaker 1: you think about when Kyle started, Portia was like in
- 22:33Speaker 1: a crib.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And now she's 16. Yeah. So like you– all the
- 22:37Speaker 1: housewives when they started back were early 40s. And so
- 22:42Speaker 1: I do think that's kind of a good age because
- 22:44Speaker 1: if someone wants to do it for a long time,
- 22:46Speaker 1: we can really like see them grow.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You want to see that growth. Exactly.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And so– OK, so you meet you meet everybody. And like,
- 22:52Speaker 1: what's your initial thought? Was it weird to have cameras?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Was it weird not to look at the camera? And
- 22:59Speaker 1: because some people say right away, you ignore the cameras.
- 23:02Speaker 1: My kid didn't notice the cameras, all that.
- 23:04Speaker 2: No, I mean, I wouldn't say it was weird. And
- 23:07Speaker 2: for a couple of reasons, like, number one, I'm a
- 23:09Speaker 2: people person. Like, I love people. That's just me. I
- 23:13Speaker 2: feel like I can honestly be friends with anybody. There
- 23:16Speaker 2: are a few exceptions, which I'm sure we'll get into.
- 23:18Speaker 2: But I can get along with anybody. I just love people.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And again, because I'm so used to being around those things,
- 23:26Speaker 2: you know, like, you know, going into the studio with
- 23:28Speaker 2: my husband or going onto the set with friends or
- 23:30Speaker 2: whatever it is. I'm just so it wasn't. It wasn't
- 23:34Speaker 2: weird except for that it was now about me. But
- 23:37Speaker 2: I was, you know, I wasn't worried about the cameras
- 23:39Speaker 2: being there. You know, they're kind of off in the
- 23:40Speaker 2: distance anyway. And I was really just interested in getting
- 23:43Speaker 2: to know people, you know? Yeah. And it's so funny.
- 23:45Speaker 2: You see that little snippet of Crystal saying, she's, that
- 23:48Speaker 2: bitch is nosy. And I'm like, Crystal, we were texting
- 23:51Speaker 2: in the car outside, number one. And number two, how
- 23:54Speaker 2: do you get to know people? I get to know
- 23:56Speaker 2: people by asking questions about them, right?
- 23:58Speaker 1: Let's talk about the Crystal moment.
- 23:59Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Okay. So there's a moment a few episodes back when
- 24:02Speaker 1: you're in Spain.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yes.
- 24:05Speaker 1: And you and Crystal had issues. And why do you
- 24:09Speaker 1: think you had the issues? Because you were questioning the
- 24:13Speaker 1: whole esophagus thing with and for people that don't know.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So Sutton, it was Kyle who brought it up. Kyle
- 24:20Speaker 1: brings up because she's feeling like she's on the attack.
- 24:23Speaker 1: This is before she's come forward that she and Mauricio
- 24:25Speaker 1: are having serious issues. But everybody around is like seeing
- 24:29Speaker 1: something going on. And so she kind of goes after
- 24:33Speaker 1: Sutton at the dinner party and is like, why are
- 24:36Speaker 1: you bringing up the fact that I don't have a
- 24:37Speaker 1: ring on? You don't even eat. You move your food around.
- 24:40Speaker 1: And so then the conversation starts as women who don't
- 24:44Speaker 1: have cameras around would discuss and be like, what is
- 24:48Speaker 1: up with that? So you give your opinion that. You
- 24:53Speaker 1: don't believe it's a tiny, a soft, like explain.
- 24:56Speaker 2: So yeah, let me explain that.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm not going to explain it.
- 24:59Speaker 2: So this is, oh heavens. Oh, here we go. So yes,
- 25:03Speaker 2: you just explained how it was presented to me.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Kyle is the one who presented it that way. She
- 25:08Speaker 2: said that Sutton doesn't eat and pushes her food around
- 25:11Speaker 2: her plate and uses that as an excuse for that.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So that was how this was initially presented to me.
- 25:17Speaker 2: And my only point in all of this is, was
- 25:22Speaker 2: that there needed to be an underlying condition causing a
- 25:27Speaker 2: narrow esophagus that's it I never I did not say
- 25:32Speaker 2: that I wasn't questioning whether she had one or not
- 25:35Speaker 2: I literally was just saying because think about it like
- 25:37Speaker 2: this okay yeah say you have a newborn and your
- 25:40Speaker 2: newborn is born with a small esophagus what do you
- 25:43Speaker 2: think would happen I don't know.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I mean, go to the doctor.
- 25:46Speaker 2: They wouldn't be able to eat.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Right. Or you'd need, like, a feeding tube, I.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Guess, right? You would probably need surgery. Like, you wouldn't
- 25:52Speaker 2: be able to eat. All I'm saying is that, like,
- 25:54Speaker 2: I was literally just saying, wondering, asking her what the
- 25:58Speaker 2: underlying condition was that caused that to happen. That was it.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 1: That's it.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:04Speaker 1: So now here– so, of course, editing is a tiny percent.
- 26:10Speaker 1: We see a tiny percent of what you guys film.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And– I'm guessing you probably had some really funny times
- 26:16Speaker 1: with your husband, probably some cute times with your kids.
- 26:19Speaker 1: What we saw was you in every situation bringing it
- 26:25Speaker 1: up again about Sutton's tiny esophagus.
- 26:28Speaker 2: That is correct.
- 26:28Speaker 1: The audience knows how these shows work. They want They
- 26:32Speaker 1: believe the audience enjoys a show more if there's conflict
- 26:35Speaker 1: than you doing a legit charity event. And that's just
- 26:37Speaker 1: the case.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So we start seeing this. And so I kind of
- 26:42Speaker 1: really felt for you because I'm like, this is all
- 26:44Speaker 1: they're showing. And there's a good chance that they're saying, okay,
- 26:49Speaker 1: you know, Anna Marie, when you go in, they're saying
- 26:51Speaker 1: that you're not qualified to say what you're saying because
- 26:56Speaker 1: And so then you want to go defend yourself. That's
- 26:57Speaker 1: what I'm assuming stuff like that happened. And then you
- 27:01Speaker 1: now have footage of you constantly bringing up the esophagus.
- 27:03Speaker 2: There was a lot of disrespect of nurses happening. My
- 27:09Speaker 2: profession was constantly being diminished.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Versus like you're not a doctor. Right.
- 27:16Speaker 2: And let's talk about that too.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Because nurse anesthesiologists are doctors. I have a master's degree
- 27:23Speaker 2: because that's what my requirement was of my program when
- 27:25Speaker 2: I graduated 11 years ago. But 10% of CRNAs are doctors.
- 27:31Speaker 2: They are doctorate trained. And as of next year, every
- 27:35Speaker 2: single CRNA that graduates has a doctorate degree. So we
- 27:39Speaker 2: are doctors. Physician anesthesiologists own the title physician. They do
- 27:45Speaker 2: not own the title anesthesiologist. And that is where a
- 27:48Speaker 2: lot of the.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Political debate comes in because there is such a political
- 27:59Speaker 2: history between the ASA, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and
- 28:06Speaker 2: the AANA, the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. Especially when
- 28:10Speaker 2: our title changed to Nurse Anesthesiologist, they don't like that.
- 28:13Speaker 2: It's like a turf war.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Okay, got it.
- 28:16Speaker 2: And so I'm at the brunt of this turf war
- 28:19Speaker 2: because Crystal decided to say that I misrepresented my title,
- 28:24Speaker 2: whereas she actually doesn't even know all of this background information.
- 28:29Speaker 2: She just wanted to say that.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And so when you guys start– so she also said
- 28:32Speaker 1: in Spain– or you said, we– You guys hung out
- 28:37Speaker 1: prior to filming or when filming wasn't happening? And then
- 28:40Speaker 1: she gave you the scoop on everybody is what you said. Yeah.
- 28:44Speaker 2: So we have mutual friends and I met her.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Not the 14 that she's no longer friends with.
- 28:49Speaker 2: But I know that too because I know those people
- 28:53Speaker 2: as well.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Okay. And do you know why that friendship ended? Yes,
- 28:58Speaker 1: I do. Can you share or no?
- 29:00Speaker 2: I mean, let's just say that it goes back to.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:07Speaker 2: What she says about the ladies, which we're going to
- 29:09Speaker 2: talk about, the thing about her 14 friends, and now
- 29:12Speaker 2: this thing with me misrepresenting her title, or misrepresenting my title,
- 29:17Speaker 2: which isn't that so convenient that she needed a storyline
- 29:21Speaker 2: this year. She needed something to talk about. She was
- 29:23Speaker 2: talking about her brother. That was her storyline this year.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think people were that interested in the brother.
- 29:27Speaker 2: She was talking about her brother. So she knew she
- 29:30Speaker 2: needed to bring it this year, so she did what
- 29:32Speaker 2: she does which is, unfortunately, not be truthful.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Okay, so, I mean, I kind of loved that moment
- 29:45Speaker 1: at the table in Spain.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Okay, so yeah, sorry.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Because why I loved it is because you were like,
- 29:50Speaker 1: you said it, and all their faces were, you said it,
- 29:53Speaker 1: you're like, I made you relevant, meaning relevant on, we're
- 29:56Speaker 1: on a show.
- 29:57Speaker 2: We're on a show.
- 29:58Speaker 1: And more and more- Like I've been begging for them
- 30:01Speaker 1: to break the fourth wall on occasion. Show the fact
- 30:04Speaker 1: that you have an opportunity because of Housewives. Bring up BravoCon.
- 30:07Speaker 1: And slowly each franchise is starting to do it. And
- 30:10Speaker 1: I think the franchises are benefiting from it because the
- 30:13Speaker 1: audience is so sophisticated, because they've been watching.
- 30:15Speaker 2: For 15 years.
- 30:16Speaker 1: So when you said that. I thought that was pretty interesting.
- 30:19Speaker 1: But what you also said was, look, you should talk
- 30:23Speaker 1: to this group and said that they weren't intelligent. And
- 30:25Speaker 1: then they go back and show a clip of her
- 30:28Speaker 1: giving an interview where she said the exact thing that
- 30:30Speaker 1: you said. Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Oh, and fourth wall is a whole other situation. Goodness,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I wish I knew that I could have broken fourth wall.
- 30:37Speaker 2: But yeah, so when I met her, it was I
- 30:39Speaker 2: think the same week that I met Kyle at a
- 30:41Speaker 2: holiday party of a mutual friend of ours.
- 30:44Speaker 1: And.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I'm like, what do you do? And she's like, I'm
- 30:47Speaker 2: a housewife. She really did lead with that.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Meaning I'm a real housewife.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yeah, like I'm on a show. No, not I'm a housewife,
- 30:54Speaker 2: like in real life. Like I'm a housewife. And I
- 30:55Speaker 2: was like, oh, interesting. And then, you know, you go
- 30:57Speaker 2: into the natural question of like, oh, is it fun?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Do you guys actually hang out? Like, you know, the
- 31:01Speaker 2: same questions I get from people now.
- 31:02Speaker 1: And this is before you were hired.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Oh, this is three months before this was even a thing. Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 31:07Speaker 2: And I get it because people ask me that all
- 31:08Speaker 2: the time now, too. So I ask her that.
- 31:11Speaker 1: And I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Like,
- 31:14Speaker 1: I remember Real Housewives of New York when Bethany was
- 31:17Speaker 1: going after Carol, which you don't know what I'm talking about.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Because you didn't watch.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But she was ripping on Carol for not having a
- 31:24Speaker 1: career or something. And Carol's like, we have the same job.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:28Speaker 1: The main job is housewife. Now, you really have a
- 31:31Speaker 1: whole other job.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yes.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And there are a couple other housewives that really, at
- 31:34Speaker 1: least a Vanderpump is a restaurant error. But, you know,
- 31:36Speaker 1: like there are people that have real legit other things going.
- 31:39Speaker 1: But for most people... This is a pretty big job.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. And it's a huge platform.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And there's nothing to be ashamed of to act like
- 31:46Speaker 1: it's– yeah.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Absolutely not. And I'm not even saying it in that way.
- 31:49Speaker 2: It's just she said it in a way of– it
- 31:51Speaker 2: was pretentious. That's all I'm saying. It wasn't like I
- 31:55Speaker 2: do this and I'm holding– esteem from it for anything
- 32:00Speaker 2: other than I'm being pretentious about it. That was how
- 32:04Speaker 2: it was presented to me. So then she said, what
- 32:05Speaker 2: do you do? And I said, I'm a nurse anesthetist.
- 32:09Speaker 2: And she looked at me puzzled, which 90% of people
- 32:13Speaker 2: do unless they are in healthcare and they have heard
- 32:15Speaker 2: of a CRNA before. And then I said, I do anesthesia.
- 32:18Speaker 2: And then she's looking at me puzzled. And I said,
- 32:19Speaker 2: I do anesthesia. And then she said, oh, my sister
- 32:22Speaker 2: is an anesthesiologist. And I was like, oh, okay, great.
- 32:25Speaker 2: I'm a CRNA. Then she'll know what I do. Like,
- 32:28Speaker 2: because you clearly didn't. She will know. And when people
- 32:31Speaker 2: say they're in healthcare or they're in anesthesia, then it's like,
- 32:34Speaker 2: we kind of have that bond. Like, you're going to
- 32:36Speaker 2: know what I do. Anyway, but that's what she decided
- 32:39Speaker 2: to say. Well, no, you called yourself an anesthesiologist, which
- 32:42Speaker 2: it's funny because also now looking back at it, I'm
- 32:46Speaker 2: a nurse anesthesiologist. Even her saying that, there's really nothing
- 32:53Speaker 2: wrong with saying that.
- 32:54Speaker 1: I feel like, to be honest, to be a viewer,
- 32:57Speaker 1: it was too much about this job of yours.
- 33:01Speaker 2: It was too much. They had you talking.
- 33:04Speaker 1: About it too much in defending it and wondering about
- 33:06Speaker 1: the sudden thing. They had her asking too much and
- 33:09Speaker 1: wondering about it. It's like, it just, listen, most people
- 33:14Speaker 1: felt there wasn't I felt the season was great. I
- 33:17Speaker 1: liked it. I never will stop watching the show. And
- 33:19Speaker 1: I'm like, sometimes there just isn't that much going on
- 33:21Speaker 1: in people's lives. Of course, a lot going in Kyle's
- 33:24Speaker 1: and stuff, but not much going on in Garcelle's. I
- 33:27Speaker 1: have teenage boys. One has a boyfriend. One has a girlfriend.
- 33:29Speaker 1: One doesn't. There isn't that much, and there's nothing wrong
- 33:32Speaker 1: with that. She's still interesting and exciting. I feel like
- 33:35Speaker 1: there's gotten to this place where the audience is so
- 33:38Speaker 1: awful that it's like, what's your storyline?
- 33:41Speaker 2: You better.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Get a medical diagnosis where you're going to have to
- 33:46Speaker 1: like be really sick, have a kid go through something bad,
- 33:50Speaker 1: have a bankruptcy, a robbery, or a divorce happen, or
- 33:54Speaker 1: you don't deserve to be on the show.
- 33:56Speaker 2: All the salacious stuff. What do you want? The funny thing, though,
- 33:59Speaker 2: is I had so much going on in my life
- 34:04Speaker 2: last year when we were filming. Yeah. In general, I
- 34:08Speaker 2: have a very full, very big, very, very busy life.
- 34:12Speaker 2: I have three hysterical kids, like a comedic husband. I work.
- 34:19Speaker 2: We have a foundation. I'm a former collegiate basketball player.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I work out every day at 4.30 in the morning.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I have a very big, very full life. And shortly
- 34:30Speaker 2: after we started filming, my mother was diagnosed with stage
- 34:33Speaker 2: four lung cancer. She told me on camera.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I'm so sorry. How is she doing?
- 34:40Speaker 2: She passed three months later.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I'm so, so sorry.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Thank you. So that's what I was actually dealing with
- 34:46Speaker 2: while we were filming my mom's stage four lung cancer diagnosis. So,
- 34:50Speaker 2: you know, and it was there was a time when,
- 34:54Speaker 2: you know, I talked to Kyle about it a bit
- 34:56Speaker 2: because I knew that she'd understand because of her mom.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:59Speaker 2: And then there was a time when I tried to
- 35:02Speaker 2: talk to Sutton about it and she threw it back
- 35:04Speaker 2: in my face. And then it was after Sutton did that,
- 35:07Speaker 2: she was, you know, she kind of was like, you're
- 35:10Speaker 2: just using that as an excuse. And I was like,
- 35:12Speaker 2: and that's when I shut down. And I was like,
- 35:14Speaker 2: I'm not going to talk to these girls about it
- 35:16Speaker 2: anymore because it was so painful.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 2: It was so painful. But that's what I was actually
- 35:21Speaker 2: dealing with while we were filming. Not, I don't care
- 35:25Speaker 2: about Sutton's esophagus. Like I cared about my family, my mother,
- 35:30Speaker 2: all the things I was going through. And then when
- 35:32Speaker 2: we were in Spain at the paella dinner, I was
- 35:35Speaker 2: also adopted when I was born.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I didn't know that.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I'm half Dutch, half Nigerian. I'm from a small farm
- 35:43Speaker 2: town in Canada. Were you adopted at birth?
- 35:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:47Speaker 2: So I was adopted at birth.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Did you ever find your.
- 35:50Speaker 2: I'll tell you.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 2: So Nigerian father, Dutch mother, they put me up for
- 35:55Speaker 2: adoption when I was born. I've never met them. And
- 35:57Speaker 2: I was adopted two weeks later by an Indonesian family.
- 35:59Speaker 2: So I was raised in an Asian household.
- 36:02Speaker 1: In America?
- 36:03Speaker 2: In a small farm town in Canada.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Oh, in Canada.
- 36:05Speaker 2: In Canada, yep. And, oh my God.
- 36:11Speaker 1: About the birth family, finding the birth family. Yes.
- 36:13Speaker 2: So when we were in Spain, actually let me backtrack
- 36:18Speaker 2: and give it some context first. So when we actually
- 36:20Speaker 2: moved to our current house, the one that we bought
- 36:23Speaker 2: through the agency in I went through what I found
- 36:26Speaker 2: out is adoption trauma. I didn't know what that was.
- 36:30Speaker 2: I'd never heard of it before. I was depressed for
- 36:34Speaker 2: six months. I cried every single day. It was the
- 36:35Speaker 2: most traumatic experience of my life. And somebody hearing that,
- 36:41Speaker 2: you'd say, you moved houses. Get it together. Like, that
- 36:43Speaker 2: is not a thing. No, no. Oh, wait.
- 36:46Speaker 1: So wait, when you were moving... It like triggered something.
- 36:50Speaker 2: It triggered?
- 36:51Speaker 1: And when did you... So you always knew growing up
- 36:53Speaker 1: that you were adopted? Because you didn't look like the
- 36:56Speaker 1: family that adopted you.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Correct.
- 36:58Speaker 1: And did they... What was the story they told you?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, I have known for as long as
- 37:04Speaker 2: I can remember.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Like you're the luckiest one everyone wants. My mom would
- 37:08Speaker 1: always say... Adopted kids are the luckiest kids in the
- 37:11Speaker 1: world because everybody wants them. So I always thought that's
- 37:13Speaker 1: beautiful and, you know, that's the way they should be told. Yes.
- 37:16Speaker 1: So when did you ever– so then at a certain
- 37:20Speaker 1: point did you try to find your parents?
- 37:21Speaker 2: No, no, I didn't. And my older sister who is
- 37:25Speaker 2: half Filipino, she was also adopted. She's three years older
- 37:28Speaker 2: than me. And, you know, I think it was because
- 37:31Speaker 2: she didn't really care to find her birth family.
- 37:35Speaker 1: So you just sort of followed suit?
- 37:52Speaker 2: We chose you. Like we wanted you so much that
- 37:55Speaker 2: we chose you. So I grew up with so much love.
- 37:57Speaker 2: So now this situation, I want to move to this
- 38:00Speaker 2: new house. I'm excited about moving to this new house.
- 38:02Speaker 2: I'm an active participant in this new house. But as
- 38:04Speaker 2: soon as it happens, it triggers this depression in me
- 38:09Speaker 2: because I feel like I have been ripped from my stability.
- 38:14Speaker 2: And the separation and this feeling of abandonment was, it
- 38:18Speaker 2: was overwhelming.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:20Speaker 2: So then I learned what adoption trauma was. So yeah,
- 38:22Speaker 2: oh yeah, so much therapy, so much therapy. It was really,
- 38:25Speaker 2: really devastating. So anyway, so now we're- At the PAIA dinner.
- 38:28Speaker 2: At the PAIA dinner, I'm talking to Erica and Dorit.
- 38:31Speaker 2: And Erica was talking about working in an orphanage and
- 38:35Speaker 2: holding babies, you know, because they need that physical touch.
- 38:38Speaker 2: And then we got into me being adopted. And I
- 38:40Speaker 2: told them the story of, so I have a friend
- 38:45Speaker 2: who lives in a gated community here in Los Angeles.
- 38:49Speaker 2: And the gentleman that works security at the gate, he's
- 38:51Speaker 2: from the Congo. And so I'm chatting with him. This
- 38:55Speaker 2: is sometime early last year. And he's like, sister, where
- 38:59Speaker 2: are you from? And I said, oh, I'm half Nigerian.
- 39:02Speaker 2: And he's like, have you been? And I said, no,
- 39:03Speaker 2: I don't know my biological parents. I've never been there before.
- 39:06Speaker 2: And he said, you don't know them? And he said,
- 39:09Speaker 2: is your dad Nigerian? And I said, yes. And he's like,
- 39:11Speaker 2: you need to find him. He said, Nigerian men don't
- 39:14Speaker 2: leave their babies. He doesn't know you exist.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 2: So I told this to Erica Dorit and just lost it.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Lost it. Because it's that adoption trauma that is now
- 39:27Speaker 2: manifesting in my life as a 41-year-old mother with four children.
- 39:32Speaker 2: So these are the things that I struggle with.
- 39:35Speaker 1: And were they welcoming of that story?
- 39:38Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely. They were so supportive.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Wow. Okay, now the other thing that you got that
- 39:46Speaker 1: people were like, what? Is your honesty about how you
- 39:49Speaker 1: said that your husband said you're an eight and a
- 39:51Speaker 1: half at everything. You're an eight and a half in looks.
- 39:54Speaker 1: You're an eight and a half in sports. You're an
- 39:55Speaker 1: eight and a half in intelligence, decorating. And people were like,
- 39:59Speaker 1: if they're sitting at home by themselves, if my man
- 40:03Speaker 1: said that to me.
- 40:05Speaker 2: And I'm always like, that's a thing.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I'm like, we're stepping into... Someone else's home in their marriage,
- 40:10Speaker 1: and every marriage has their own dynamic. Yeah. And the
- 40:14Speaker 1: thing that women say more than anything is, well, I
- 40:18Speaker 1: wouldn't put up with that.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I know.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Well, no one's asking you to put up with it.
- 40:21Speaker 1: And you guys have your understanding, and you thought it
- 40:24Speaker 1: was funny. Yeah. And you thought it was like, yeah.
- 40:27Speaker 1: I mean, look, I know I'm not a 10 supermodel
- 40:31Speaker 1: in looks.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:33Speaker 1: You know, my husband's never been like, you're the best
- 40:35Speaker 1: looking person that's ever walked on the earth. He's never
- 40:37Speaker 1: said it. Yeah. So does that mean I shouldn't? So
- 40:40Speaker 1: do you want somebody to lie?
- 40:41Speaker 2: I thought there was nothing wrong with it. So many.
- 40:44Speaker 1: And I was like, I would. And the way we
- 40:46Speaker 1: talk about our husbands.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Never.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Like we demand that every guy is like, you're the
- 40:51Speaker 1: greatest thing. But we'll. I mean, even as a female comic,
- 40:54Speaker 1: a female comic can speak about their husbands so much
- 40:57Speaker 1: harsher than. And the women and the men laugh, but
- 41:00Speaker 1: if a guy gets up there and says the things
- 41:02Speaker 1: that we'd say, it's like, he's awful, da-da-da-da. So, anyway,
- 41:06Speaker 1: I thought that was interesting, but knowing the audience so well,
- 41:09Speaker 1: I was like, oh, God, please.
- 41:10Speaker 2: See, and I would have no idea, because I'm coming
- 41:13Speaker 2: into this, Heather. Open book. I'm like so bright eyed,
- 41:17Speaker 2: bushy tailed, open book. I have nothing to hide. I'm like,
- 41:19Speaker 2: this is my life. Welcome. You know, and like I guess,
- 41:22Speaker 2: you know, what people didn't see and don't understand is
- 41:24Speaker 2: like my husband is my person. Like we are best friends.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Like we can joke about everything and anything. And so
- 41:31Speaker 2: two parts to that. Number one, I was an athlete.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:34Speaker 2: And so my coach is never going to be like,
- 41:36Speaker 2: Anna Marie, you're perfect. It's just not going to happen.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I don't expect perfection in my life. I'm always striving
- 41:41Speaker 2: for better. That's just the way I operate. That's one
- 41:43Speaker 2: of the things I love about my husband. He pushes
- 41:45Speaker 2: me to be better. I push him to be better.
- 41:47Speaker 2: That's how we work. Right.
- 41:49Speaker 1: As athletes.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Absolutely. So I would never I would never expect to
- 41:53Speaker 2: be a 10. And then he said, he was like,
- 41:56Speaker 2: you totally butchered that and whatever. He's like, I didn't say.
- 41:59Speaker 1: He probably didn't love the response either.
- 42:01Speaker 2: He doesn't care. He's like, whatever.
- 42:03Speaker 1: He doesn't internalize things. You don't want them to care.
- 42:05Speaker 2: He doesn't internalize things. He's been doing this for too long.
- 42:07Speaker 2: But he was like, you butchered it. He said, I didn't.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Say you were an 8.5 at everything. He said average.
- 42:13Speaker 2: You're an 8.5 average. And so he's like, yes, looks
- 42:16Speaker 2: and body and brains. He's like all the things that
- 42:20Speaker 2: women hear.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You're a 10 in the sack.
- 42:21Speaker 2: I'm a 10 in the sack. I'm a 10 in looks,
- 42:23Speaker 2: 10 in brains, 10 in athletics.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Where are you in cooking? Oh, two.
- 42:26Speaker 2: So there you go. I'm a two at cooking. I have, like,
- 42:30Speaker 2: I'm so type A and, like, super OCD. Those are
- 42:32Speaker 2: my twos because he hates when I stress.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 42:34Speaker 2: So he's like, those are your twos that, like, even
- 42:36Speaker 2: everything out. Got it. So whatever. I got it wrong.
- 42:40Speaker 2: But also, I don't need to be a 10. Like,
- 42:44Speaker 2: I'm not a 10. And this is another thing, too.
- 42:46Speaker 2: You know what you'll never hear at the Wiley household? honey,
- 42:49Speaker 2: does this look bad on me? Do I look fat?
- 42:51Speaker 2: Does this look good? Because if it looks bad, he
- 42:53Speaker 2: will have already told me. And I never have to think,
- 42:56Speaker 2: is he lying?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Right.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Because I know he's going to tell me the truth.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Right?
- 43:00Speaker 4: Right.
- 43:00Speaker 2: How many times do people leave the house and like, oh,
- 43:03Speaker 2: I feel so subconscious. Honey, you're just lying. You're just
- 43:05Speaker 2: saying that. Never going to wonder if my.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Husband's just saying that. I have a thing where they don't,
- 43:09Speaker 1: and I have two boys that are 18 and 21 now,
- 43:12Speaker 1: they never say anything about my outfit unless... It isn't okay.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I'm like, tell me. And then– no, then they will
- 43:21Speaker 1: say it. I'm saying they're not– I don't walk down
- 43:24Speaker 1: and everyone's like.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Whoa, mom.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Because I just like used to see me get glammed
- 43:28Speaker 1: up myself. But sometimes I'll be like– like I remember
- 43:31Speaker 1: one time I wore this hat and this like coat
- 43:34Speaker 1: because you know how everyone's wearing like long coats now,
- 43:36Speaker 1: you know? And my son's like, why are you dressed
- 43:38Speaker 1: like a detective?
- 43:39Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, my God.
- 43:40Speaker 1: So those are the only times when it like seems
- 43:42Speaker 1: goofy that I– Anyway, so let's get into– so this
- 43:46Speaker 1: is you at the reunion. I love this blue.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Did you have a hard time choosing your outfit?
- 43:52Speaker 2: Oh, for heaven's sakes, yes.
- 43:53Speaker 1: I mean, your dress?
- 43:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it is a process. It is a process.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Do they tell you that you have to choose this color?
- 44:00Speaker 2: No, it wasn't a color. It was a theme. So
- 44:02Speaker 2: we were given a theme. But I guess they're going
- 44:06Speaker 2: for some kind of like cohesion with everything, right? So
- 44:10Speaker 2: it's a lot of like back and forth during this process.
- 44:13Speaker 2: But for me, I was like, you know what? I
- 44:14Speaker 2: want to wear a bright, fun color. I want to
- 44:16Speaker 2: wear something that's comfortable because sorry, comfort first on that person.
- 44:20Speaker 1: I always think.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 44:21Speaker 1: First of all, this is why your dress is really
- 44:24Speaker 1: a good choice. The color.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 44:27Speaker 1: I always think a long dress, but with a slit.
- 44:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:30Speaker 1: So you show the leg, but you're not having a
- 44:33Speaker 1: short dress where you might get a squirt of like
- 44:35Speaker 1: cellulite or something happening.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Or just fidgeting the whole time. It's a long day.
- 44:39Speaker 1: You also have it nipped in the waist. So even
- 44:41Speaker 1: the tiniest waist can be challenging on a couch.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Yep.
- 44:46Speaker 1: If it's like a super plain silk or something, not good. Yep.
- 44:50Speaker 1: And so, yeah, I thought it was a great choice.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 44:55Speaker 1: So you can't tell us what happens on the reunion,
- 44:57Speaker 1: but with Sutton, I mean, do you think you can
- 45:06Speaker 1: move past and be okay?
- 45:07Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Okay, good. Because I think she's a character and fun.
- 45:11Speaker 1: I think she's perfect for the show. I don't need
- 45:15Speaker 1: to see any more fake dates, my personal opinion.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Oh, my.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I don't need to see... The casting people whip out
- 45:23Speaker 1: these guys that were trying to be actors from, you know,
- 45:27Speaker 1: their last gig was on Million Dollar Matchmaker in 2011.
- 45:29Speaker 1: I don't need to see that. Oh, my God. Just
- 45:34Speaker 1: let her be her, like, quirky self.
- 45:36Speaker 2: You know my husband was on that show.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Million Dollar Matchmaker?
- 45:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 45:39Speaker 3: Wait.
- 45:39Speaker 2: With Patty way back in the day.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You know that they're re-airing now on Netflix. Oh, you're kidding.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Oh, no, I didn't know. Like, the old episode?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh, I bet.
- 45:47Speaker 1: We have to look it up.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Oh, my God. That is so funny. We have to
- 45:51Speaker 2: look it up. This was obviously before me, way before me. Yes.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:53Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Because I was so entertained by that show. Yeah. And
- 45:57Speaker 1: now she's coming back with a new one. Oh, my God. Crystal,
- 46:00Speaker 1: we already talked about, but I like her dress.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Erica. Love that dress.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Now, did you, obviously coming in, you must have known
- 46:08Speaker 1: about Erica's LA Times article.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Which Sutton was the only one that read it, but
- 46:14Speaker 1: I'm confident that you'd probably be able to read the
- 46:16Speaker 1: whole thing yourself as well.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Being that you've read a lot of
- 46:20Speaker 1: medical books, I'm thinking you could get through the LA article.
- 46:23Speaker 2: I'm an avid reader, yes.
- 46:24Speaker 1: How did you feel going in? I feel like she
- 46:26Speaker 1: really had a great season. I think she redeemed herself.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I think people have changed their minds about what is
- 46:33Speaker 1: really expected of her as a wife of someone who
- 46:35Speaker 1: deceived a bunch of people.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 1: And I thought she came off So likable and really
- 46:44Speaker 1: wonderful when she talked to Kyle in the last episode
- 46:47Speaker 1: when she came over and was like, this is your marriage.
- 46:51Speaker 1: And all the advice she gave was absolutely just.
- 46:55Speaker 2: On point.
- 46:56Speaker 1: So like there you can tell they have a real friendship.
- 46:58Speaker 1: But you also she was just. She was that friend
- 47:00Speaker 1: that's been through it. And I thought that was really
- 47:02Speaker 1: great on her part.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:04Speaker 2: So I, you know, didn't know the old Erica. I've
- 47:09Speaker 2: only known this Erica. And she has been amazing to me.
- 47:13Speaker 2: She's been so supportive. And one thing that I think
- 47:17Speaker 2: really makes the two of us get along is that
- 47:19Speaker 2: she's very no nonsense. Like she's just honest and real
- 47:22Speaker 2: and she'll tell you how it is. Similar to my husband, right?
- 47:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Like how he's going to tell me how it is.
- 47:27Speaker 2: I gravitate towards people like that because those are the
- 47:29Speaker 2: people that you know you can trust. Don't just tell
- 47:31Speaker 2: me what you think I want to hear. Tell me
- 47:33Speaker 2: the real. And she does that. And I really appreciate
- 47:35Speaker 2: that for her. Yeah. She was, I love her. She's
- 47:38Speaker 2: so supportive. She's been great.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yes. So that's great. But you haven't seen the show yet.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You didn't go to the Las Vegas residency.
- 47:45Speaker 2: So when I wanted to, but that's, I was in
- 47:48Speaker 2: Canada a lot with my mom because like I said,
- 47:51Speaker 2: after she got diagnosed, it was only three months until
- 47:53Speaker 2: she passed. So I was in Canada. Oh, OK.
- 47:57Speaker 1: And well, I mean, hopefully with the show coming out,
- 48:00Speaker 1: I think it's March 6th or 9th. She has a
- 48:03Speaker 1: two episode spinoff. I love stuff like that. And, you know,
- 48:07Speaker 1: hopefully she'll she'll be able to do more.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Good for her.
- 48:12Speaker 1: How did you get along with Garcelle? I felt like
- 48:13Speaker 1: you guys really didn't have much one-on-one time. At least
- 48:16Speaker 1: we didn't see it.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Yeah. We actually filmed a really fun afternoon. She came
- 48:21Speaker 2: over to my house and we had this amazing talk,
- 48:25Speaker 2: this awesome heart-to-heart. We bonded over so many things. We
- 48:30Speaker 2: have a lot in common in terms of just our
- 48:34Speaker 2: past and our entry into American life and Los Angeles
- 48:40Speaker 2: life in particular. So we really bonded over a lot
- 48:42Speaker 2: of things. And, you know, with being the two black
- 48:45Speaker 2: women on the cast, there are certain things that, you know,
- 48:48Speaker 2: only we're going to kind of understand and we need
- 48:50Speaker 2: to lean on each other for those things and in
- 48:53Speaker 2: those kinds of instances. So no, Garcelle and I got
- 48:56Speaker 2: along great. Yeah.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Good.
- 48:57Speaker 1: I've known her for years and she's really nice. Dorit,
- 49:01Speaker 1: a lot of people were freaked out by this outfit.
- 49:04Speaker 1: They were like, is this the Real Housewives of Dubai?
- 49:07Speaker 1: What's happening? I like that she, I think her style
- 49:10Speaker 1: and all that shit is fun. Did you like, was
- 49:15Speaker 1: this the first time you saw it when you guys
- 49:17Speaker 1: filmed it?
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yes, this was the first time I saw it.
- 49:18Speaker 1: And did it like hang on a bun?
- 49:20Speaker 2: How did it stay? It was like clipped in.
- 49:22Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 49:22Speaker 2: It was like clipped in the top.
- 49:23Speaker 1: It's just like for people not watching this, she has
- 49:25Speaker 1: like a really nice beautiful red dress that then has
- 49:27Speaker 1: like a hood situation happening. Yeah.
- 49:30Speaker 2: You know what though? This is Dorit, right?
- 49:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Like she's always going to push those fashion boundaries and
- 49:36Speaker 2: bring something new and fresh and– Give you that wow.
- 49:39Speaker 2: And she did it, right? We're talking about it.
- 49:41Speaker 1: So in the last episode, she, you know, is talking
- 49:46Speaker 1: to PK. He's extended his trip to London 39 days.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And she's being very honest of like, I don't know
- 49:53Speaker 1: that we're going to be together forever. And so a
- 49:57Speaker 1: lot of people are talking about that. And a lot
- 49:59Speaker 1: of people, that's what the show is, is people... like
- 50:03Speaker 1: watching these marriages because the majority of audience members are
- 50:08Speaker 1: married women, divorced women, whatever. And we've been through it,
- 50:10Speaker 1: our friends, and we like to give our opinion. And
- 50:14Speaker 1: so my opinion is it's not great. It's not great.
- 50:19Speaker 1: And I just, I think when they did the pretty
- 50:23Speaker 1: woman thing and he said, which in which he set
- 50:26Speaker 1: up the whole evening of pretty woman, um, Which, by
- 50:29Speaker 1: the way, I went as Pretty Woman in the red
- 50:32Speaker 1: dress with the white gloves to Adrienne Malou's Halloween party.
- 50:35Speaker 1: And she was there. And we talked. And then after that,
- 50:40Speaker 1: they did the Pretty Woman thing.
- 50:41Speaker 2: That is so funny.
- 50:43Speaker 1: You don't think she maybe got the idea from me?
- 50:44Speaker 2: I mean, well, we filmed this much before that. We
- 50:46Speaker 2: filmed it much before that.
- 50:47Speaker 1: No, Halloween of last year.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Oh. I mean.
- 50:51Speaker 1: It's a great idea.
- 50:52Speaker 2: It's so flattering. But it was Kiki's idea, not her idea. Right?
- 50:56Speaker 1: But I think. Granted, it's filming for the show and
- 51:01Speaker 1: all that stuff. But I think he was kind of like...
- 51:05Speaker 1: I think what happens sometimes, and I've talked about this
- 51:08Speaker 1: with marriages, there's a significant age difference. I don't know
- 51:11Speaker 1: if it's 20 years. It's like at least 15, 16.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Wait, between those two? Yeah. Really?
- 51:16Speaker 1: He's like 58 and she's like 40. I didn't realize that.
- 51:22Speaker 2: What do you mean? No, I didn't realize that they
- 51:24Speaker 2: had an age gap like that.
- 51:25Speaker 1: She's the second wife.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Yes, correct.
- 51:28Speaker 1: And I think sometimes... When you have an age difference
- 51:32Speaker 1: and the initial part of the marriage is you're this
- 51:35Speaker 1: young girl who's so excited and so grateful and so
- 51:39Speaker 1: impressed by everything that this older, wealthier man.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Brings to your world.
- 51:44Speaker 1: And then as time goes on, any marriage gets a
- 51:48Speaker 1: little stale. But as time goes on, I feel then... Okay,
- 51:52Speaker 1: now she's no longer so impressed with all the shiny
- 51:55Speaker 1: items because she's used to them. And she's not, you
- 51:59Speaker 1: know what I mean? And then now the kids are,
- 52:02Speaker 1: now she's into the kids as she should be. And
- 52:05Speaker 1: so now he's not getting the attention that he got
- 52:07Speaker 1: from his 30-year-old girlfriend 10 years ago.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Wow.
- 52:10Speaker 1: And now he's got a 40-year-old wife that has school-age
- 52:12Speaker 1: kids that she wants to homeschool. Right. Right. And that
- 52:15Speaker 1: so that he's doing his businesses and more and more
- 52:17Speaker 1: days go by. Yeah. And I'm not saying this marriage
- 52:20Speaker 1: can't be saved. But that as the marriage therapist is
- 52:23Speaker 1: what I would say is the real issue. It's like
- 52:25Speaker 1: they have to get back to that place where. he
- 52:27Speaker 1: felt she was excited for him and she has to
- 52:30Speaker 1: feel like he thought, you know what I mean? And
- 52:31Speaker 1: it just changes with kids. It's like it has to.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Oh, it absolutely changes with kids. It absolutely does. You
- 52:38Speaker 2: know what? I always root for love.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:40Speaker 2: So I'm holding out hope and I'm rooting for them.
- 52:43Speaker 2: And I feel like all marriages kind of go through
- 52:46Speaker 2: a rough patch at some time or another, though, if
- 52:48Speaker 2: you're together for long enough.
- 52:49Speaker 1: What's sad, too, about Kyle and Marisa, too, is both
- 52:52Speaker 1: couples– have that fun friendship.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Yes.
- 52:55Speaker 1: And I always feel like it's when you don't have
- 52:57Speaker 1: the fun friendship, when you really don't enjoy each other,
- 52:59Speaker 1: when it's 24 hour bickering, that's when it has a trouble.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Like if you're at least friends, but the romance is
- 53:05Speaker 1: off or the dah, dah, dah, dah, you can come
- 53:08Speaker 1: back to that.
- 53:09Speaker 2: When your husband can joke and call you an 8.5.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:12Speaker 2: So now we like the 8.5. See, you want a
- 53:14Speaker 2: funny husband? See? But I think, so I.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Think that they can, but I think, you know, she's being,
- 53:21Speaker 1: and then also when you're, Also, sometimes with breakups, especially
- 53:26Speaker 1: like in the years past, sometimes when people would feel
- 53:30Speaker 1: they were getting divorced, that people would shun them, would
- 53:33Speaker 1: not want to be around them. Almost like it's like
- 53:34Speaker 1: a disease that could get through the cul-de-sac.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Really?
- 53:37Speaker 1: Like, yeah, like in the 80s and stuff. It was
- 53:39Speaker 1: like when people were getting divorced, sometimes like, you know, society,
- 53:43Speaker 1: neighbors and stuff.
- 53:44Speaker 2: People were like excommunicated.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Yeah, like a little bit like, or now we don't
- 53:47Speaker 1: want the single girl that's, you know, at our parties.
- 53:49Speaker 1: We're like a little. And so I think the breakup of...
- 53:53Speaker 1: you know, Kyle and Marisa might have added to, now
- 53:56Speaker 1: we are going to see this whole friendship breakup between
- 53:59Speaker 1: she and Kyle. Yeah. And I think there's going to
- 54:02Speaker 1: be a lot that even after the reunion, we're not
- 54:05Speaker 1: going to really know. Yeah. Because I think there's so
- 54:07Speaker 1: much unknown of like, and then people are like, I
- 54:10Speaker 1: feel gypped. I'm like, shut up. The girls have been
- 54:13Speaker 1: on the show for 14 years. However much Kyle wanted
- 54:16Speaker 1: to share or when she wanted to share it or
- 54:18Speaker 1: what they wanted to present, is their deal.
- 54:21Speaker 2: Well, I mean, I hope people don't feel gypped because
- 54:23Speaker 2: I can honestly say I didn't know a lot of
- 54:25Speaker 2: that was happening with their relationship either. It was news
- 54:28Speaker 2: to me as well. So it just kind of goes
- 54:32Speaker 2: to show you that things evolve fast.
- 54:36Speaker 1: Now I'm going to jump to this other thing because
- 54:39Speaker 1: this is crazy. So this is a podcast called.
- 54:44Speaker 1: What is it called? Bravo's Hot Mike. And he is
- 54:47Speaker 1: a– is this Alex Baskin's podcast?
- 54:49Speaker 2: Yes, correct.
- 54:50Speaker 1: So he's a huge producer of the shows. So he
- 54:53Speaker 1: has Dorit and PK on there. And he's like, I
- 54:57Speaker 1: know you're very upset that there were times that people
- 54:59Speaker 1: had speculated fans. Was this a real robbery? Because she
- 55:03Speaker 1: has a PTSD and the gun was put to her
- 55:05Speaker 1: head and everything. And then he goes on to say
- 55:07Speaker 1: something that has really gotten people chatting about. Where he's like, well,
- 55:11Speaker 1: we were robbed three times. And of the three times, Vegas,
- 55:14Speaker 1: in the house, I think there was another time. And
- 55:17Speaker 1: then there was a time where she went to TJ Maxx.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Where she had all that cash in her purse.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Shopping, yeah.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Right.
- 55:22Speaker 1: And then he goes on to say, and they caught
- 55:25Speaker 1: the guys in Vegas. And they also caught the guys
- 55:28Speaker 1: from the TJ Maxx or whatever.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:30Speaker 1: And Dorit's like, they did?
- 55:31Speaker 2: He's like, yeah.
- 55:32Speaker 1: And she's like, you didn't tell me that. And that
- 55:35Speaker 1: is weird.
- 55:38Speaker 2: It's weird.
- 55:39Speaker 1: It could be many things. It could be that he
- 55:41Speaker 1: really is just not making her a priority. He just
- 55:44Speaker 1: hadn't really taken the call for the cop and didn't
- 55:47Speaker 1: really care to tell her and wasn't down to communicating
- 55:51Speaker 1: with her a lot and forgot.
- 55:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Or it could be that he purposely didn't tell her,
- 55:56Speaker 1: but I don't know why he would say.
- 55:57Speaker 2: That on the podcast. I don't know why he would
- 55:58Speaker 2: purposely not tell her.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I really think that he is just– I really think
- 56:04Speaker 1: that Dorit is just not on his mind that much.
- 56:07Speaker 1: And so I think when information comes and stuff, he
- 56:10Speaker 1: probably meant to tell her, but then he was in
- 56:12Speaker 1: London and then this and this and this.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Focusing on other things.
- 56:14Speaker 1: And now we're sitting down and it comes up and
- 56:15Speaker 1: he's being honest and he's like, oh, these people got arrested.
- 56:18Speaker 1: And she's just kind of like, what?
- 56:20Speaker 2: That would be very jarring to hear.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:23Speaker 2: On a podcast, not in real time.
- 56:25Speaker 1: And then I feel like with her situation with the
- 56:28Speaker 1: robbery where she's like, I have PTSD and everything. He
- 56:32Speaker 1: basically is like, I feel like he's basically saying to
- 56:35Speaker 1: the therapist, I call bullshit. I think she's exaggerating it
- 56:39Speaker 1: and everything. And I feel like regardless of if she's
- 56:44Speaker 1: exaggerating or not, if she is exaggerating, it's because she
- 56:47Speaker 1: wants his attention. So even if she is not suffering
- 56:52Speaker 1: as much as she is, no one knows the level
- 56:54Speaker 1: of suffering. I can't even imagine what she went through.
- 56:59Speaker 2: Agreed.
- 57:00Speaker 1: And if there was– and then people speculate, is there
- 57:03Speaker 1: something more behind it? Whatever is more behind it, I
- 57:06Speaker 1: believe she did not know anything when she woke up
- 57:09Speaker 1: that night. I 100% believe that. So her trauma is
- 57:12Speaker 1: her trauma.
- 57:13Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 57:15Speaker 1: Yeah, to then have your husband kind of be like,
- 57:16Speaker 1: move on.
- 57:17Speaker 2: I think one thing we have to like also keep
- 57:19Speaker 2: in mind is that it's not going to be, PTSD
- 57:22Speaker 2: is not going to be linear and it's not going
- 57:24Speaker 2: to be the same for everyone, right?
- 57:25Speaker 1: People are going to experience it. And it can rise
- 57:27Speaker 1: up and it can go down. Exactly.
- 57:28Speaker 2: And people are going to experience it different ways in general.
- 57:31Speaker 2: And what one person might be able to quote unquote
- 57:33Speaker 2: recover from in one year's time, it might take someone
- 57:36Speaker 2: else who knows how long, right? So I think that's
- 57:38Speaker 2: something that is a very individual experience for her. And
- 57:43Speaker 2: it's almost like you have to You have to believe
- 57:45Speaker 2: her and just support her with that, right?
- 57:48Speaker 1: I totally agree. Okay, so Kyle looked great in her
- 57:53Speaker 1: green dress. And then Kathy shows up. And we see
- 57:57Speaker 1: the trailer, so don't tell us. But Sutton sort of
- 58:01Speaker 1: gets dizzy. And we don't know if she's getting dizzy
- 58:03Speaker 1: from the sight of Kathy Hilton. No. Or if maybe
- 58:06Speaker 1: she just had a dizzy moment, like people faint and
- 58:10Speaker 1: get dizzy. I fainted on stage once. Never happened since.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I don't know why I did. It happens.
- 58:15Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, we're going to have to
- 58:17Speaker 2: wait and find out. We're going to have to wait
- 58:18Speaker 2: and find out.
- 58:19Speaker 1: However, I was in Aspen this weekend.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:22Speaker 1: And do you know what happened off camera at the
- 58:26Speaker 1: Caribou Club with Kathy Hilton and Lisa Rinna? Oh, no.
- 58:32Speaker 1: It's pretty much why Lisa Rinna is no longer on
- 58:34Speaker 1: the show. They went to this private club called the
- 58:37Speaker 1: Caribou Club. So of course I wanted to go and
- 58:39Speaker 1: I had friends that were members. So it's like a
- 58:41Speaker 1: beautiful dining place and then there's like a DJ and
- 58:44Speaker 1: it's a mix of aged people. It's pretty fun, you know? Well,
- 58:47Speaker 1: the story is that Kathy Hilton went up to the
- 58:51Speaker 1: DJ and asked Michael Jackson to be played and he
- 58:54Speaker 1: didn't play it and she got furious. She felt disregarded
- 58:57Speaker 1: or whatever and got mad at Kyle and said, let's leave, Kyle.
- 59:02Speaker 1: And Kyle was like, no. So then Lisa Rinna took
- 59:05Speaker 1: her in the Sprinter van without cameras, without any recording,
- 59:08Speaker 1: and according to Lisa Rinna, she was in a bad
- 59:10Speaker 1: mood and she went off on Kyle and off on
- 59:14Speaker 1: the DJ and used a derogatory term. Oh, wow. So
- 59:18Speaker 1: what we never saw and it just got brought up
- 59:21Speaker 1: throughout the show. What went down at the Caribou Club?
- 59:24Speaker 1: And my understanding is that he didn't play Michael Jackson. Well,
- 59:27Speaker 1: let me tell you, when I went to the Caribou
- 59:28Speaker 1: Club Saturday night, they played two Michael Jackson songs. And
- 59:31Speaker 1: I was like, oh, my God. And I took my
- 59:34Speaker 1: phone and I'm like, if only this DJ played these songs.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Kathy Hilton would have been happy.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Lisa Rinna wouldn't have had any dirt on her. Lisa
- 59:43Speaker 1: Rinna kind of made him stay on the show. Kyle
- 59:47Speaker 1: may have never met Morgan Wade.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 59:49Speaker 1: If only Michael Jackson had been played.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Isn't that crazy? Like one event, Cascade. That is crazy.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Okay, the white party.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it was so beautiful. It was so much fun.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: How did the idea ever come up? to let's, did
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: we know somebody at SoFi Stadium? Were they like, SoFi
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Stadium was like, hey, we want to host your party.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Who thinks to just go to a big, because now
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I'm thinking, wait a minute.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: This is kind of.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: A great idea for other people. Why not go to
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: your local high school football field? Why not put something
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: there when they're not playing football? Now you have this
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: big space that just wasn't being used if everything's being
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: brought in, which is very expensive to do.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: Very expensive.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: But, I don't know. You could have like a wedding
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: anywhere now.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: I mean, you can. You can go to SoFi and
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: get married if you want to pay for that. But
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: you have to think about the security and all the
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: vendors and those kinds of things because you are looking
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: at a blank football field that you are constructing a
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: party on. It is a very, very big venture. And
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: like we have Chargers season tickets. We go to every
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: game at SoFi. And like trust me, I've never seen
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: it look like that. This was a very big production.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: And why do you think she wanted to have such
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: a big production?
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I think because she hadn't had the party in a
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: couple of years, right? Because of COVID and everything.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: And also because to have Erica perform too. Absolutely.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Like this was the big resurgence of the white party.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: So I get why she wanted a big venue.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Kind of funny because it might be the last white party. Well,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: where is she and he hosting it together?
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Maybe not.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: Maybe not.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Hopefully not.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Okay. So then in this scene, it wasn't this scene,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: but anyway, there's Crystal and her husband and Erica. The
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: news breaks at the end of the final episode that,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: in fact, they're separated. Who leaked the people story? Because
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: right after that, they said, we're not separated.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: We're living under the same roof, but we're not separated.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: We don't know who leaked this story, which is weird.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: And he says, Crystal says, I think maybe Morgan leaked it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: And so the entire year that this has been going on,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: how long has it been? I think it started like
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: in June. June is when people started to– I forgot
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the blogger, but someone put a highlight reel together before
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: the– someone put in the stories. Okay.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Because they started to notice the stuff she was posting,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: working out and all this stuff with Morgan on her lap.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: And someone put a highlight reel together of, I think,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Kyle's dating Morgan. That– I apologize that I can't remember
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: this girl's Instagram.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I feel like I just saw it this morning too.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: So then she– she has like 97,000 people. She's a
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: decent one. She does good work. She then shares that
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: back in June when she put this together before the
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: People article.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: But people were speculating. I remember seeing the stuff about
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: who is this girl that she's working out with? Is
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: she a friend who's just a different style? Is she
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: a friend who's just gay who's a friend? Are they more?
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: So then she goes, Kyle and Morgan both watched my
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: reel back in June. I saw that. Watched the highlight reel.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: So now I've gone back and forth. She's dressing like Morgan.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: They're getting the tattoos. The paparazzi just always happens to
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: be there when they're going on a walk. Then I realized, oh,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: she's producing a documentary about Morgan's music career, also getting
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: the gene taken out by getting a mastectomy and making
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: people wear that, which is important. So I was like, oh,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: there's that. Then I also came across someone else's hard
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: work where they discovered that at one point she either
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: had a boyfriend or a husband, Morgan, who is now
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: a realtor at the agency.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know that part. Yeah.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: It has been for a while. Now, the agency is everywhere.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: Everywhere.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's the Beverly Hills Agency.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: It could be the Encino Agency. It could be the
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: agency in Tennessee.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: They're everywhere and clearly connected. Mauricio doesn't know every single agent.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: He probably doesn't even know every manager of every office.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: There's so many.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: For sure.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: So who knows? But in this one, after she went
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: on Real Housewives, I noticed that we always talk about
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Kyle wearing Morgan's clothes. Well, Morgan got an outfit from Kyle. Right.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: She's wearing an Herme belt, a nice silk blouse, a blazer,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: a Veronica beard blazer, it appears to me. Yeah. And
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, so now wait, who's... In it, she
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: is rubbing her hip in a very loving, in my opinion,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: non-straight platonic girlfriend kind of a way.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: I will say this. I'm happy with whatever makes Kyle happy.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Of course. Right?
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: If this is true, then as long as she's happy, great.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Kyle has been through so much. She's shared so much
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: of her life, her family's life. And I understand that
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: people really feel entitled to know every single intricate detail
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: of everything. But if that's not what she's ready to do,
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: then maybe there has to be– Maybe it has to
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: be on her terms and her time. I don't know.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: I just– like I said, I will always root for love.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: That is a marriage of 27, 28 years. They have
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: four beautiful children. And it hurts my heart to see
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: a family break up. But if that is what's going
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: to make Kyle happy and Mo happy, then I'm happy
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: for them.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Well, I love that she says we're not that couple
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: that's screaming, yelling, fighting. Yeah. But also that's– sometimes that's
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: what a therapist says. Once you become indifferent– then also
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the marriage can't be saved either.
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Like sometimes at least if you're fighting, you care enough
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to fight.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: You're fighting for it.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: You care enough to be annoyed.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: You know, but I feel like I don't care. I
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: don't know how much was manipulated, planned out, not planned out.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I have loved every second of it. I have loved Wondering.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: I think the best thing about her, Kris Jenner, anybody
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: else is she made the lemonade out of it.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: The Buying Beverly Hills season two is coming out. It
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: wasn't really a huge buzzwords hit first season. And the
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: trailer looks really good.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: And the sisters are against each other. We're seeing that
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: they're talking about the separation. The market, you know, is
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: a little more volatile, which make it a little more
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: fun than, you know, easy deals.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: And so I think they're like, look, this is the deal.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: People know about it. We're going to share about it.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: But when I was in Aspen, I did run into Mauricio.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: You did.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: And it was after dinner. I was with my 18-year-old
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: son and my husband. And I go, Mauricio. And he
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: was with a girl who was attractive. Okay. Who then
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: just walked ahead. Like, she didn't stop to meet me.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I looked to see, because first I thought, is it
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: one of the brunette daughters? It was not.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: She didn't acknowledge you at all?
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: No. Now, it could have just been a friend. It
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: could have been someone's sister. Who the fuck knows? I
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: kind of felt like she knows the deal. And I'm
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: not meeting every fucking 50-year-old woman who was.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Like, oh, Mauricio.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: So I get why she was like, we're fucking moving on. Well, anyway,
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I talked to him. He's always so nice. I'm like,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I'm excited for season two. I love it because I
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: grew up in real estate with my parents. So I'm like,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I love that your daughters are working with you. Blah, blah, blah.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Then I saw him twice more skiing, but I felt
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I was so obnoxious the night before. That I averted
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: eye contact and did not talk to him again. But
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: he was by himself skiing the two other times. So
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I don't have any real scoop.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Maybe he was just out with an acquaintance for dinner.
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: He just didn't want to have a lonely dinner.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: And she was like, I don't want to deal with this.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Maybe, yeah.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: If she was a realtor, she should have stopped. She
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: should have tried to sell me a condo or something.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: But anyway, I think... You know, I think that must
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: have been kind of also weird that you stepped into
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: this where like one of the biggest couples in housewife
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: history is like, you know, and then you found out
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: about it mostly towards the end of the season. Like
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: when you were at the white party, did you think
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: anything was weird then?
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: No, I actually didn't know for the longest time. I didn't.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: I didn't know anything was wrong. I literally just thought
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: that Mo was in Europe because he was on his
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: book tour. So he was on his book tour. He
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: was working. I didn't think anything of it. I had
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: no idea. And I knew of Morgan because Kyle introduced
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: us on FaceTime during that dinner that Dorit and I
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: were at her house for. I didn't think anything of anything.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: I didn't. I was like, great, this is her new friend.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I think it's also a really good, I think you
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: can learn a lot by watching other people's lives on Housewives.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: And I think this could be a lesson to people.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Because when you do get greater wealth and you have
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: multiple homes, it is really easy to start living in
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: separate homes.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Oh, 100%.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: And you're like, oh, hey, da, da, da. And, then,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: of course, with him, he always has a reason to travel.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: If he ever isn't happy with the situation at home,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: he can always say, oh, I've got to go to
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Puerto Rico because the office is this and this and this.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: And how is she ever going to know?
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: And I think she accepted everything. But then I think
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: she also found her own interests. Yeah. And that could
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: be Morgan Wade's career. It could be getting tattoos. It
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: could be both.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Doing extra production projects.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Oh, I also want to say I 100% believe that
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: she never went on an Olympic. I want to say
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: I believe that because not drinking, which I have done,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: dabbled in it, sober curiosity, okay? Yeah. I lost like
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: six pounds without trying.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: Drinking? People don't realize how many calories are in alcohol.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I got on the scale after being really good for
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: two weeks and I was like, this scale can't, I
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: was like, literally this scale can't be right.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: Drinking is a lot of calories. And I talked to some.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Friends and I'm like, I definitely think that she just
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: slimmed down from the not drinking. And so that would
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: be annoying.
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: And I mean, that in combination with, you know, now
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: you're working out for the first time in your life,
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: like those are really big lifestyle changes. And that was
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: another thing that like was very jarring to me when
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: I first came into the group of ladies. I was like,
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: why is everyone like, fit shaming and sober shaming her.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Like these are, she's going through a lot. And like
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: with her, you know, her friend just passing away. And
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I'm like, she's doing healthy things to like, you know,
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: to deal with the things that are happening in her life.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: I'm like, we should be applauding her. Why are we, like,
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: why are we making fun of that? Or why are we,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: you know, hating on her for that?
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I feel like You know, even when I'm drinking and
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: someone's like, I'm not drinking, I'm always like, good for you.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Like, good for you.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Go for it. Yeah. I think when people don't like
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: it or try to find another reason for it, it's
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: like it's because they probably are thinking themselves, I should
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: probably cut back.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: And they don't. Yeah.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: So they want their like buddy or they're thinking I
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: should go to the gym more or whatever. And so
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: they're just like, what's going on? I don't think she's
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: even had a midlife crisis. I think she's had an awakening.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: About what she wants in her life, whatever that might be.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: And if that means redefining her relationship with Mo and
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: they're able to get back together.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Like I could see them getting back together, like especially
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: when grandchildren come into play or whatever.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Who knows? Yeah, that's a good call.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I don't think they want to sell their properties. I
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: don't think they want to split up their business that
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: now the daughters are part of. So I think they're
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: just like, The only way we can do this without
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: it getting messy and disgustingly ugly is tell the world
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that we are in fact going to date other people. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: I mean, it's logical. If that is what it is,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: it is very logical.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: And so many people do it and keep it a secret.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: And so many people have done it for hundreds of
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: years throughout history in all different cultures.
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: And you didn't know that that was going on in
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: your neighbor's house.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: And I mean, you also have to remember like this
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: wouldn't it wouldn't if they are doing that or going
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: that route, it wouldn't be simple. Like these are high
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: net worth people. It's very complicated.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Well, I am really glad that I got to know
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: more about you. I feel badly that I hope you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: come back. And I hope that we get to see
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: a more fun side of you with no esophagus ever.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: And kind of get to see a little more play
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: with your husband. We didn't really get to see the
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: husbands hang out. And I do, you know, hopefully, you know,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: whatever happens. Who knows? Who knows what's going to happen
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: with these other. But I like when the husbands would
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: get together. I definitely don't. I think we saw your
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: husband very little. But I get how they have to
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: edit the show. Yeah. If you decide to come back
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: and everything, what are you like? How are you hoping
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: to balance this new public life? Are you still going
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: to work as a professional?
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Oh, it's very important to me to always maintain my independence.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: And I'm like, I went to school for a very
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: long time. to achieve those degrees and those licenses. So
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: I would, yeah, I'll always work. I always will. And
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: I wanna be a role model for my children and
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: for other young kids and young girls to be like,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: even when you have all these things in your life,
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: it's still important to maintain your identity and something that
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: you worked for. And, you know, I just want people
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: to see, like, the fun side of me. You know
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: what I mean? Like, I love people. I love having
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: a good time. Like, I'm doing this to have a
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: good time. Like, I'm doing this because this is supposed
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: to be fun. So I want people to see, like,
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: that light and silly part of me. I love having parties.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: I love hanging out with people. I love working out.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: I love drinking, you know? And my family is hysterical
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: like I want people to actually you know you only
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: saw one scene of me at home with my family
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: like I want people to see my lifestyle and the
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: dynamic and all the things that.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: We do and with all the social media and people
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: like where were you seeing most of the comments and
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: stuff they would dm you or like where would you
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: see the kind of mean stuff that people would write
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: oh they.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: Would just put it all over my page they would
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: send it to me they would tag me they would
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: whatever and And so now my social media team does
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: it because I'm, you know, I just don't even have
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: time for that anymore. And it's like you.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: So early on, you were like, I just can't bring
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I can't I have to stop myself from looking at
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: this stuff.
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: And I was always that is so important.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: I was always told that. But this is this is
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: the part where it gets hard for me because I
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: pride myself on being such a good person intentionally. Yes.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: Like I'm literally the person like my friends are like,
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: you're the person that makes everyone feel seen. And I
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: do that intentionally because I like to make people feel good. Right.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: So for people to not see who I really am
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: as a person and only see one side and all
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: you see me doing is talking about sense esophagus. That's
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: why it's like, where am I? Like, where is where
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: am I? You know, and so I want people to
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: actually see me and I'm totally fine. If people see
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: me and they get, you know, a depiction of who
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: I am and they're like, no, I'm good. She's still
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: not for me. That's fine.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Was there a time in the beginning when you were
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: getting the hate and all that stuff that it was
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: like really affecting you and you had to be like,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: you know what? I have got to put the blinders
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: on now because I can imagine it, you know, when
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: it all comes that quickly and in that volume, like
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: for me, it's like slowly grown. Yeah. And even for me,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: I've gotten to a place where I finally was like,
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: don't send me stuff and I don't want to look
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: at this anymore, you know? But for so long, I
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: was like, and I always felt like, well, you know,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: you're wrong. Like I'd see something. No, you're wrong. That's
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: not true. That's not what I meant. And then at
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: a certain point, you just have to be like.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: I think that's where I kind of am now. Because
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: it's like people are going to. Love you and then
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: hate you and then love you again or vice versa.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: You're never going to be able to please everyone. But
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: I and I'm fine if it's like, oh, my God,
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: look at her dress or like, oh, look what she's
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: doing or something like that. Something silly like that. I
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: don't mind. It's when it becomes something that's very serious,
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: like something that is like has racial undertones or something
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: that has. you know, that is speaking about my profession,
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: which as we all know, is something that I take
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: very seriously. When it becomes like serious things, that's when
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: it actually bothers me.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: You know, because that's, you know, if someone's attacking you
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: for being a comedian, you're like, well, but this is
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: my job, right?
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Like it's kind of, it's kind of something that can
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: be taken a little bit more seriously, I think. So,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: but I mean, it is a learning curve, right? Like
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: there's no handbook on how to be a housewife and
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: all the things that are going to come at you.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: Like this is a whole different level of everything. And again,
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: going from someone who was very private before to now
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: being in this public position in the spotlight.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: But like you said, you have a great platform. And
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: so you want to do more with this. Absolutely. Take
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: this opportunity and. Do whatever. Do you know what else
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: you'd want to do besides appear on the show?
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: I have lots of ideas.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Oh, good.
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Yeah, lots of things in the works.
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Well, good.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Well, tell them where they can follow you and everything.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Anna Marie Wiley is my Instagram handle. Same for Facebook. Threads, X,
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: all under Anna Marie Wiley. And also I want to
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: take a second to plug our foundation. My husband and
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: I have a foundation called Project Transition where we work
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: with communities and individuals in order for people to, you know,
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: find their inner power, not let their circumstances become their
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: excuse for being the greatest version of themselves. So we
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: partner with a lot of at-risk communities and we do
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: great work in the community.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Oh, I love that. Yep. That's so important.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: Projecttransition.org.
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you.
