- 0:13Speaker 2: We're not talking about Rich JMT and we're not talking
- 0:15Speaker 2: about last week. If the one and only dog Spigle
- 0:19Speaker 2: double jibal in your face to be and in the
- 0:21Speaker 2: place to be, and you're listening to John Jay.
- 0:23Speaker 3: And Rich, John Jay and Rich, you could text us.
- 0:27Speaker 3: You text jj R whatever you want to say to
- 0:29Speaker 3: the number nine six eight nine thirty.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Here's the text, guys, John Jay and Rich.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Why do we say have a good weekend and never
- 0:37Speaker 3: have a good week?
- 0:38Speaker 1: From Stephanie.
- 0:40Speaker 3: It's a good point.
- 0:41Speaker 1: We should be saying have a good week. More so
- 0:45Speaker 1: we should have good week, Stephanie. I think that we
- 0:48Speaker 1: say how was your weekend at the beginning week. We
- 0:50Speaker 1: don't really wish the good week. We just want to
- 0:52Speaker 1: hear about the weekend. It's all around. I saw a
- 0:56Speaker 1: guy one time, a couple of years ago.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I think I remember telling you this's Rich and he
- 0:59Speaker 3: said to me it was like, some time I'm in October,
- 1:01Speaker 3: how's your summer.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I was like, WHOA, I was good?
- 1:03Speaker 3: Said now I steal that from people, so I don't say.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I was like, I'll probably do it next week. How's
- 1:08Speaker 3: your summer? And haw's it started yet?
- 1:10Speaker 1: Oh? Well that was last summer.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Speaking of summer, Kyle's going to her family reunion, right,
- 1:15Speaker 3: the big unfug unfugged reunion.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Yeah, sure is not unfugged. Yeah, it's the other side
- 1:21Speaker 2: of the family. But we'll call it the Unfugged family Reunion.
- 1:25Speaker 2: It's been planned for two years. Wow, And uh yeah,
- 1:28Speaker 2: I'm pretty excited because it's like when we were growing up,
- 1:32Speaker 2: we would go to the ranch we called it the
- 1:34Speaker 2: ranch every summer and it was in Colorado and we
- 1:37Speaker 2: would just go hiking and fishing and do all the things.
- 1:39Speaker 2: And it was my mom and her three sisters and
- 1:43Speaker 2: all my cousins. And we don't do that anymore, and
- 1:47Speaker 2: especially since my grandparents passed away, it's like there's really
- 1:50Speaker 2: no glue holding the family together. Except my mom's older sister.
- 1:55Speaker 2: She emailed us about two years ago and was like,
- 1:58Speaker 2: who's in, And we're like, who can plan any thing
- 2:00Speaker 2: two years in advance? So we all said we were in,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and yeah, next week is the time to go. But
- 2:06Speaker 2: I think you brought up Unfugged because you remember me
- 2:08Speaker 2: talking about my family union one year where we went
- 2:10Speaker 2: to unfug Hardware.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that was like your families was related to you guys. Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 1: the family I mean.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Way back in the day. It's not it's it doesn't
- 2:18Speaker 2: sadly doesn't exist anymos in a small town in Colorado,
- 2:24Speaker 2: but yeah, it does not exist anymore. But ever since then,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I have said, no hardware stores for me. Unless it's
- 2:29Speaker 2: an unfug hardware, I don't go. And there is there
- 2:34Speaker 2: happens to be an Ace Hardware, like right by our house.
- 2:37Speaker 2: It's like biking distance, so really super close. And Scott
- 2:40Speaker 2: goes there all the time, and sometimes the kids actually
- 2:43Speaker 2: go there with him because this particular Ace Hardware has
- 2:46Speaker 2: two like business cats. Like these cats their their names
- 2:51Speaker 2: are Pickles and Brisket, and Pickles and Brisket just walk
- 2:54Speaker 2: around the store and they're super friendly and people should
- 2:57Speaker 2: come pet them. And every time Scott wants to go
- 2:59Speaker 2: to the hardware store, the kids want to go. And
- 3:01Speaker 2: last night he was like, I gotta go to Ace
- 3:03Speaker 2: Hardware and I'm like, yeah, have fun, and he's like,
- 3:07Speaker 2: why don't we make it a family trip? I'm like,
- 3:09Speaker 2: how could I say no to that?
- 3:10Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:11Speaker 2: We didn't spend any time together. So I was like,
- 3:15Speaker 2: let's go to Ace Hardware. And he's like, you know,
- 3:16Speaker 2: we've lived here for like seven years, and we've been
- 3:19Speaker 2: in the area for like ten years, and you've never
- 3:21Speaker 2: bent this Ace Hardware, which to me is like not
- 3:25Speaker 2: that surprising, because what do I need to go to
- 3:27Speaker 2: Ace Hardware for? But you got you gotta go to
- 3:30Speaker 2: Ace Hardware?
- 3:34Speaker 1: Oh exactly.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I was like, what's in here I want to get?
- 3:37Speaker 2: There's like pizza, like pizza grills. There's those green eggs
- 3:41Speaker 2: and then or you know, like the green egg grills.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Then we walk outside and there's patio furniture, and then
- 3:47Speaker 2: we walk around the corner and excuse me, there's kitchen.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Utensils, Like what kitchen? And then we walk around the
- 3:54Speaker 1: corner and there's spray paint.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I was like, I had no idea that there was
- 3:58Speaker 2: such variety of things as hardware.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Ice is there.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We walk around the corner and Easton's like, can I
- 4:03Speaker 2: get some baseball cards? What are they doing with baseball cards?
- 4:07Speaker 1: Today's hardware?
- 4:07Speaker 3: You know, when when my kids had little we'd go
- 4:11Speaker 3: to Ace Hardware because you know, I was just talking
- 4:12Speaker 3: about this the other day, how Walgreens and CBS had
- 4:14Speaker 3: those cool aisles. East Hardware has better than that. Ace
- 4:18Speaker 3: Hardware has. Like when my kids are butterfly nets, fishing poles,
- 4:23Speaker 3: beef jerky, uh, the little parachute, a little little boys
- 4:27Speaker 3: that are parachutes and you throw them up there and
- 4:29Speaker 3: the little parachute. They have every cool thing. They have goldfish,
- 4:32Speaker 3: I mean real goldfish. They have all kinds of stuff.
- 4:34Speaker 3: I don't know if each which one is different, but
- 4:38Speaker 3: they are a lot of fun to go to with
- 4:40Speaker 3: little kids too.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah, And I want to say I had a moment
- 4:43Speaker 2: where I'm like, I feel like I owe John Jay
- 4:45Speaker 2: an apology because do you remember the first time you
- 4:47Speaker 2: went to hobby Lobby and you're like, this place is amazing, Like, yeah, due,
- 4:51Speaker 2: it's hobby Lobby. And that's how I felt. I was like,
- 4:54Speaker 2: this place is amazing, and Scott was like, yeah, duh,
- 4:57Speaker 2: it's Sace Hardware.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You get steaks there, you know, you get yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a reason with these, like wag you be
- 5:03Speaker 3: crazy card you could possibly buy all those clothes are
- 5:06Speaker 3: there because they have lumber.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Like I don't know, I see.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Like, I just feel like you get to know your area.
- 5:13Speaker 1: You guys, get to know your area, get to know
- 5:16Speaker 1: your local you get to know your local Ace Hardware. Yeah,
- 5:18Speaker 1: the one.
- 5:22Speaker 2: There's so much to discover, you guys.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It's amazing. And the backers will be t I n
- 5:27Speaker 1: in the back of taking a judge there they got
- 5:36Speaker 1: it all. Man. Anyways, your area is the place with
- 5:40Speaker 1: the health of the hardware. They were very kind to
- 5:44Speaker 1: you know, it used to be Rich was just singing
- 5:46Speaker 1: the jingle.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Used to be ACE is the place with the health
- 5:48Speaker 3: of hardware, man, and then they got all woke.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Now you can't say man, you say folks. Yeah, the
- 5:55Speaker 1: place with the help of hardware. Folks.
- 5:56Speaker 2: That's funny because I remember that jingle and I was
- 5:58Speaker 2: singing it to Eastern and I didn't remember the last part.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So I was like, Ace is the Place of the health.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Is gonna grow up and not never be able to
- 6:10Speaker 3: finish jingles today half day something like that.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I'm stuck on bandid because yeah, well, anyway, check out
