- 0:10Speaker 1: Wait, true insurance the troth, I'm a check the aud Hey, everybody,
- 0:32Speaker 1: welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown. Who
- 0:36Speaker 1: are you? I'm Olivia Hidar and who are we? We
- 0:40Speaker 1: are your co hosts Olivia. How's it going?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Oh, you know, not bad. Can't complain. I'm living in
- 0:46Speaker 2: a police state.
- 0:47Speaker 1: But other than that, are you excited to expose the truth? Oh?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. This episode is gonna be get banned.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah, this we're we're putting this one out for free.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We've been covering the highly banned second season of Conspiracy
- 1:02Speaker 1: Theory with Jess Mansura.
- 1:04Speaker 2: It's another victim of cancel culture. Except it wasn't canceled.
- 1:07Speaker 2: That got renewed for a third season, but then it
- 1:10Speaker 2: got canceled, so oh, it definitely got canceled. It is.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It's it's so weird that you can easily find the
- 1:19Speaker 2: first season and you can easily find the third season.
- 1:22Speaker 2: But is it But like, is it just because of
- 1:26Speaker 2: this episode or is it because of because like the
- 1:30Speaker 2: first season had the harp episode, right.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, the harp episode I think is one that's missing. Yeah,
- 1:36Speaker 1: but like it's on daily Motion, just like the rest.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Of the well, I mean, yeah, everything, and we'll cover the.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Harp episode at some point. Yeah, we're making this one
- 1:45Speaker 1: free because this is this is the one, This is
- 1:48Speaker 1: the one that people really got upset over and it
- 1:52Speaker 1: never aired more than once.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The people deserve to know, and I you know, this
- 1:57Speaker 2: might be a bombshell that we can talk about as
- 2:00Speaker 2: we go. But I have a conspiracy theory about why
- 2:04Speaker 2: they went so hard on this episode.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I think I can see where that conspiracy
- 2:09Speaker 1: theory's going, too.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Uh, because there's a lot of interesting things and a
- 2:15Speaker 2: lot of it is super inflammatory and probably untrue, but
- 2:19Speaker 2: it comes from a specific source and perspective that I
- 2:24Speaker 2: think ties into this. I don't know, I think it's interesting.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It's a really interesting episode.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I have I have a theory about it too.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It mine mostly revolves around Alex Jones, same same, Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 1: so this is going to be a fun episode. That's
- 2:37Speaker 1: why we're putting it out for free. Absolutely, this is
- 2:40Speaker 1: an important sode. Yeah, we've been covering this entire season,
- 2:44Speaker 1: so we're we're four episodes in. Next week's bonus episode
- 2:47Speaker 1: is going to be episode three, which covers Wall Street,
- 2:50Speaker 1: and that one's also a doozy of an episode.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that wouldn't rules.
- 2:55Speaker 1: It rules because it's mostly true.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, it's just a documny.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's uh, the short that led to the
- 3:03Speaker 1: big short.
- 3:04Speaker 2: We'll talk about it when we get to that episode.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But it's it's kind of like a straight faced Borett
- 3:10Speaker 2: get a little bit and it rules. I love it.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but let's talk about the Police State episode. Yes,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I didn't know there was a pandemic angle to this.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I didn't remember. I vividly remember seeing this episode, but
- 3:21Speaker 1: I didn't remember the pandemic thing.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yes, and that is definitely Yeah. Again, it ties into
- 3:28Speaker 2: why this was banned.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I think the the opening scene is very confusing because
- 3:32Speaker 1: it's just it just immediately cuts to Jesse Ventura and
- 3:36Speaker 1: Alex Jones like stalking through the fourth They look like
- 3:40Speaker 1: the fucking monkeys or something like from behind trees. Yes,
- 3:44Speaker 1: why shit, it's a monkey's video.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I mean the banned It literally is like they're hiding
- 3:51Speaker 2: behind one tiny tree and like poking out either side.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's so funny, and then they they don't really they
- 4:00Speaker 1: just cut away from that, and we're supposed to know
- 4:02Speaker 1: what that was all about. They are looking at a
- 4:05Speaker 1: bunch of things that they say are coffins. Sure, and
- 4:08Speaker 1: we'll get to it. They are, but it's not what
- 4:11Speaker 1: you think America. So Jesse's first actual interview is with
- 4:16Speaker 1: some woman named Catherine Bleisch, and Jesse, in introducing her,
- 4:22Speaker 1: gets way into can you believe girls do things too? Territory?
- 4:28Speaker 1: He's like, the government's watching her, but she's a girl.
- 4:32Speaker 2: What does an innocent girl have to do with the government.
- 4:38Speaker 1: It is a quintessential early twenty ten this moment.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Is this girl really a threat to the United States?
- 4:48Speaker 1: Like maybe, yeah, maybe outside. I don't want to take
- 4:51Speaker 1: that from women that they can never threaten the safety
- 4:53Speaker 1: of the United States, Absolutely sane. The reason she feels
- 4:58Speaker 1: like she might be considered a threat is because she
- 5:01Speaker 1: found out an agency in her state said she should
- 5:04Speaker 1: be considered a threat to law enforcement. And it turns
- 5:07Speaker 1: out all she did to get labeled subversive was to
- 5:10Speaker 1: work with Ron Paul. Yeah, which I don't know. That
- 5:14Speaker 1: does seem a little extreme in terms of reasons to
- 5:17Speaker 1: surveil someone.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's not good, definitely. I think surveillance
- 5:24Speaker 2: state in general sucks.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But what people never take into account, like I'm not
- 5:29Speaker 1: saying it's right, obviously, but we have so many intelligence
- 5:33Speaker 1: agencies with such huge budgets they have time for this.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Like yeah, we like to think, Oh, the government doesn't
- 5:41Speaker 1: have time to come show up at my tiny environmental meeting.
- 5:45Speaker 1: The fuck they don't. They got time, They got the people,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and they have the.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Money and the motivation.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't I don't doubt that. What's Ron Paul
- 5:53Speaker 1: a libertarian?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Is that what his kind of I mean, he's a Republican, yeah,
- 5:57Speaker 2: but he's you know, he it's one of those he's
- 6:01Speaker 2: he is the closest to a classical libertarian that we
- 6:05Speaker 2: have had in Congress basically in a long time at least.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But you know, like most modern libertarians, he's libertarian up
- 6:18Speaker 2: to a point and way to a fault. Where to
- 6:22Speaker 2: the point where he like in his like presidential debates
- 6:25Speaker 2: and stuff, he was talking about defunding the Department of
- 6:29Speaker 2: Education and like he's all, no, exactly, it's it, and
- 6:33Speaker 2: like he is, he's a he is a monstrous person
- 6:37Speaker 2: in so many ways as a politician, but he does
- 6:40Speaker 2: you know, have you know as a libertarian? I used
- 6:44Speaker 2: to be a libertarian. I don't know if I've ever
- 6:46Speaker 2: talked about this on the show because it you know,
- 6:50Speaker 2: when I was like a lateeen early twenties in you know,
- 6:54Speaker 2: in Indiana where it's just kind of so oppressively red state,
- 6:59Speaker 2: the libertarian is that I read about and understood was
- 7:03Speaker 2: like more leftist than anything else. It was just like, hey,
- 7:08Speaker 2: don't fuck with gay people, they're people like everyone else,
- 7:12Speaker 2: and you know, make drugs legal and all the you
- 7:15Speaker 2: know that sort of thing. But it has just become
- 7:19Speaker 2: such a right wing identity. It's just morphed into this
- 7:24Speaker 2: very right wing defund you know, everything that's good and
- 7:30Speaker 2: you know, beef up police state and all that stuff.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I do remember Ron Paul being one of those
- 7:36Speaker 1: alternative candidates that people on the left seem to swing
- 7:41Speaker 1: toward more than anything. Absolutely, it's almost like a leftist
- 7:46Speaker 1: Trump in that he's right like he he was definitely
- 7:50Speaker 1: sort of an outsider, but not really he'd been a
- 7:52Speaker 1: politician for a long time, right, And also you dig
- 7:54Speaker 1: into his past and.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, he's not. I don't think
- 7:59Speaker 2: on the whole his impact of politics was positive. But
- 8:06Speaker 2: you know, yeah, like I said, I when I was
- 8:08Speaker 2: like in my late twenties, he was the kind of
- 8:10Speaker 2: guy who would go on the Daily Show and he
- 8:13Speaker 2: would be, you know, more reasonable than your average Republican
- 8:18Speaker 2: and so you know, liberals would just be like, hey, yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 2: he's one of the good ones. This is great, but yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 2: they don't really interrogate his beliefs.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's what she did to get in trouble, right,
- 8:32Speaker 1: she was on the Ron Paul train a little too early.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So they next they get into the Department of Homeland
- 8:39Speaker 1: Security and these things called fusion centers, yeah, which I said,
- 8:44Speaker 1: this is real.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not something that I a term that I
- 8:47Speaker 2: had ever really heard about before, but I do understand
- 8:54Speaker 2: the idea, the you know, high minded idea behind it.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Basically, fusion se are these agencies that are scattered throughout
- 9:02Speaker 1: the country. By the time of this episode, they had
- 9:04Speaker 1: like seventy something in the country and I looked it up.
- 9:07Speaker 1: There's still a thing. Yep, there's still there's articles out
- 9:10Speaker 1: there debating their effectiveness. But basically, what they are is
- 9:16Speaker 1: these agencies where all of the intelligence that like state
- 9:20Speaker 1: and local and federal authorities gather pertaining to that particular area.
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's all funneled through here and they act accordingly, which, yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 1: it's scandalous, but it's also what the CIA was supposed
- 9:33Speaker 1: to be. Like, it's exactly what the CIA was supposed
- 9:36Speaker 1: to be. It was just a clearing house for all
- 9:39Speaker 1: the information gathered. I still think the more scandalous part
- 9:43Speaker 1: is that all the information is being gathered, and not
- 9:46Speaker 1: so much that it's being sent to these fucking strip
- 9:49Speaker 1: mall government rights.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like it just seems like a pretty
- 9:55Speaker 2: natural byproduct of homeland security. Like the whole you know,
- 10:00Speaker 2: the whole idea of homeland security is condensing all of
- 10:03Speaker 2: these disparate intelligence agencies into one thing, which is scary
- 10:08Speaker 2: on its own, and this just seems like kind of
- 10:11Speaker 2: a natural extension of this. You would need branches around
- 10:14Speaker 2: the country. Not that I think that this is good,
- 10:17Speaker 2: but I understand the logic behind it.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's a lot of that in this episode. Yes,
- 10:23Speaker 1: it's not good, but it's also dice we kind of
- 10:26Speaker 1: have to roll as a.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Country sometimes, I mean to an extent. I mean I
- 10:31Speaker 2: don't know, I don't know necessarily that we have to
- 10:33Speaker 2: roll these kind of dice, but like it's more like
- 10:37Speaker 2: I just understand why they like they took a bad
- 10:41Speaker 2: idea and they ran with it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of this country post World War too. Yeah,
- 10:46Speaker 1: taking a bad idea and running.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Right exactly and then amplified by a thousand after nine
- 10:52Speaker 2: to eleven.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So it's time for a team meeting. They're here to
- 10:56Speaker 1: talk about these fusion centers, and it seems like the
- 10:59Speaker 1: prevailing take is that they're angry because they thought this
- 11:03Speaker 1: would be a thing that was meant to monitor terrorists, right,
- 11:07Speaker 1: but instead it's monitoring American citizens. And I have two
- 11:10Speaker 1: problems with that. There aren't enough terrorists in the country
- 11:16Speaker 1: to justify seventy two fusion centers. And if you think
- 11:19Speaker 1: they are, you're a naive idiot.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah. And unfortunately, there are I think enough people in
- 11:25Speaker 2: this country who do believe something like that. Terrorism fear
- 11:30Speaker 2: is still hugely prevalent.
- 11:32Speaker 1: What there are enough of are.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Muslims exactly and immigrants, right.
- 11:39Speaker 1: And also that idea that, oh, well, they're monitoring American citizens,
- 11:44Speaker 1: American citizens can be terrorists, Like that's.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Absolutely absolutely well, and they this is something that is
- 11:52Speaker 2: going to come up again and again during this episode.
- 11:54Speaker 2: But like the two examples that they keep coming to
- 11:58Speaker 2: of groups that would you know, innocent American activism. Groups
- 12:03Speaker 2: that would be targeted by this system are pro gun
- 12:08Speaker 2: and pro life people. Those are the two specific ideologies
- 12:12Speaker 2: that are called out as in danger of being monitored,
- 12:15Speaker 2: when first of all, we know for a fact that
- 12:19Speaker 2: this is not exclusively but majority targeted at anarchists and
- 12:25Speaker 2: left wing protesters right and also abortion denied, like pro
- 12:31Speaker 2: life people bomb clinics, and pro gun people are violent
- 12:36Speaker 2: as well. Like there's just like, you know, at a
- 12:39Speaker 2: certain point, you've gotta monitor some of those people, not
- 12:43Speaker 2: that you know, I don't know, maybe the government doesn't
- 12:45Speaker 2: have to, but there's reason there. They they blow things
- 12:49Speaker 2: up and then that's bad.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, there's always going to have to be
- 12:53Speaker 1: some degree of monitoring in law enforcement. Like we've all
- 12:58Speaker 1: seen the wire, that's all. It's called the wire for
- 13:01Speaker 1: a reason. It's because they were monitoring drug dealers in
- 13:04Speaker 1: Baltimore and that's how they they brought them down, and
- 13:08Speaker 1: drugs ended in Baltimore forever after.
- 13:10Speaker 2: That exactly, and everything was great.
- 13:12Speaker 1: But I mean, I do I do get the concern
- 13:15Speaker 1: over this obviously. Also. Yeah, So the next person he
- 13:20Speaker 1: interviews is Mike Jerman, a former FBI agent who used
- 13:25Speaker 1: to prevent terrorism. It's like, yeah, you did, for sure,
- 13:28Speaker 1: Sure you did. He looks like a guy who could
- 13:30Speaker 1: just meld into terrorism circles with him.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Oh for sure. Oh yeah, go on, you're thinking, and
- 13:35Speaker 2: he's going undercover. I get it. I mean he just
- 13:39Speaker 2: has that kind of swarthy look.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got that natural, smooth charm exactly. And he
- 13:46Speaker 1: says our intelligence agencies have no oversight and that they
- 13:50Speaker 1: sometimes collect information that isn't even related to crime. I'm shocked.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I'm shocked to hear this.
- 13:56Speaker 2: This is similar to a previous episode where so much
- 14:01Speaker 2: of this is just we know now that this is
- 14:04Speaker 2: true and it's not a hypothetical, and it's not even
- 14:09Speaker 2: really directed. It seems like they're collecting data on everybody.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and I mean now we're to the point where
- 14:16Speaker 1: we're giving it away, and then there's that even have
- 14:20Speaker 1: to We did an episode of Unpopular Opinion about phone
- 14:23Speaker 1: location data, and the FBI can just go buy that
- 14:26Speaker 1: like they don't have to. They do have to get
- 14:29Speaker 1: a warrant if they want to get it directly from
- 14:32Speaker 1: your phone carrier, right, but they can also just go
- 14:35Speaker 1: out on the fucking public market and buy it. Because
- 14:39Speaker 1: the government didn't tell them they couldn't and so, yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 1: this like none of it's surprising, but it is a
- 14:44Speaker 1: thing we probably could have stood to be a little
- 14:47Speaker 1: more angry about when absolutely, but that hats all the
- 14:50Speaker 1: way back to the Patriot Act exactly, and people were
- 14:53Speaker 1: angry about it, you know again, as a as a
- 14:58Speaker 1: young teenager, it was something that I was super concerned about,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and no one cared until it started to affect everyone
- 15:08Speaker 1: except for, you know, other than the Muslims. I wonder
- 15:11Speaker 1: if anyone has read the entire Patriot Act.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It's so god, it's so dense, and it's like, isn't
- 15:18Speaker 2: it Like it's so long. I don't even know the
- 15:21Speaker 2: exact page number, but I think it's huge. Oh it's
- 15:24Speaker 2: three hundred and forty two pages long. That is not
- 15:27Speaker 2: as long as I thought it was.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Was that abridged because.
- 15:29Speaker 2: It might be a yeah, that's what I'm saying. I
- 15:33Speaker 2: had heard very vastly larger numbers.
- 15:37Speaker 1: But is there an audiobook? And does Dick Cheney narrate it?
- 15:40Speaker 2: Maybe I'm wrong.
- 15:41Speaker 1: If so, but yeah, I would listen to that.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Oh that never mind.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Fucking Google sucks, fucking Google.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Fucking Google sucks. It was. It gave me a result
- 15:52Speaker 2: because the article featured the phrase Patriot Act, but it
- 15:56Speaker 2: was talking about some whole other fucking bill. I'm pretty
- 15:59Speaker 2: sure it's over thousand pages long.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty long.
- 16:02Speaker 2: That's that was Like one of the whole things about
- 16:04Speaker 2: when it was being passed is no one was reading
- 16:07Speaker 2: the goddamn thing. That's the whole thing. We did so
- 16:12Speaker 2: much shit in this country out of pure animal panic
- 16:17Speaker 2: and fear like that was what was dominating basically every
- 16:20Speaker 2: aspect of our culture for like over a year after that,
- 16:25Speaker 2: like years, like so much of our governing was based
- 16:29Speaker 2: on this just primal fear.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And so Mike says, these fusion centers are meant to
- 16:37Speaker 1: grease the skids for martial law in the future. Actually,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I think Jesse Venturis uses that phrase right.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Jesse Venturia loves to invoke martial law.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And my concern still upon hearing that these places exist,
- 16:51Speaker 1: is I'd be more worried about them being used to
- 16:54Speaker 1: round up like dhaka recipients exactly or something like that exactly.
- 16:59Speaker 1: That is not a ship that has sailed.
- 17:01Speaker 2: This is the thing. This is my whole take about
- 17:04Speaker 2: this episode is that it is about immigration, and they
- 17:09Speaker 2: never talk about immigration. It just never comes up. But
- 17:13Speaker 2: literally everything that they talk about, or basically everything that
- 17:17Speaker 2: they talk about is actually the Obama administration preparing for
- 17:23Speaker 2: a massive immigration crisis.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Yeah, basically preparing for what Trump right.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Well, preparing for what Obama did by the end of
- 17:31Speaker 2: his term that Trump then ramped up. That's that's what
- 17:35Speaker 2: this is. And they they are everybody that they talk
- 17:38Speaker 2: to on this is just is just so you know,
- 17:41Speaker 2: they got their blinders on. You know, they are just
- 17:44Speaker 2: tunnel vision on how it can affect libertarians and right
- 17:49Speaker 2: wing people.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And one of the people Jesse Ventura talks to
- 17:53Speaker 1: next is some guy that he just like ambushes a
- 17:57Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security outside a fusion center. And one
- 18:01Speaker 1: thing I love is this isn't how the interviews normally go.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Normally he's getting denials and shit, and this guy is
- 18:08Speaker 1: just so casual about Yeah, I mean, we might spy
- 18:11Speaker 1: on you, like we'll spy on anyone for anything. And
- 18:13Speaker 1: I kind of respect that, Like, like, I like, how
- 18:16Speaker 1: honest he was already Yes, yeah, I mean respect might
- 18:22Speaker 1: be a strong.
- 18:23Speaker 2: One, you know, to an extent.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I do. Like when he says, we don't
- 18:27Speaker 1: watch people, we watch trends. That actually sounds creepy.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Sure, I mean I don't know that sounds like people.
- 18:35Speaker 2: You know, trends don't just appear out of nowhere.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think Jesse Ventura actually says that. He says,
- 18:41Speaker 1: we are trends people.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he's in both of these episodes that we're talking about.
- 18:48Speaker 2: In these next couple episodes, he does get a few,
- 18:52Speaker 2: like really good lines, like his his very simplistic way
- 18:58Speaker 2: of interrogating things actually is effective when tackling these institutions
- 19:04Speaker 2: that are on their face a moral and disgusting.
- 19:08Speaker 1: So now here comes Alex Jones.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah, this is where the episode just starts to nosedive.
- 19:15Speaker 1: And I'm telling you, I still maintain he's a fucking
- 19:17Speaker 1: government plant.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Absolutely, And this is my whole thing about this episode,
- 19:23Speaker 2: And and this is the reason why it got pulled
- 19:26Speaker 2: is because they got Alex Jones on there. And Alex
- 19:31Speaker 2: Jones is doing what he does, which is taking something
- 19:35Speaker 2: that is real and tacking a bunch of fake, fucking
- 19:39Speaker 2: bullshit onto it that's super extremist and is designed to
- 19:44Speaker 2: get mainstream pushback. And then this episode comes out and
- 19:50Speaker 2: it gets bulled because you know, he's he's pushing a
- 19:53Speaker 2: bunch of shit that is dangerous and a lie, but
- 19:58Speaker 2: it's covering up all of this immigration stuff.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and the idea he's pushing in this case is
- 20:05Speaker 1: that the government is setting up concentration camps to hold
- 20:10Speaker 1: average Americans like you and me. Yeah, well, I mean
- 20:14Speaker 1: not like you and me, I mean me and Alex
- 20:16Speaker 1: Jones and Jesse been sure.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Right right exactly. No, I guess I'm safe in this,
- 20:21Speaker 2: in this backwards world. And it's and it's just again
- 20:25Speaker 2: the freezing as with the team meeting is so it's
- 20:30Speaker 2: just such a tell where I can't remember if it's
- 20:33Speaker 2: Alex Jones or Jesse Is like, you know, they they're
- 20:37Speaker 2: you know, they're not just going to be holding immigrants
- 20:40Speaker 2: in these in these places, they're going to have American
- 20:44Speaker 2: citizens in there too. As if that's the problem.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of the overall problem with this episode
- 20:51Speaker 1: is they're not bothered by what they're being used for.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Even at this point it comes out in this episode
- 20:57Speaker 1: what they're being used for, and it's yeah, rents.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Well, and yeah, I love the scene where they he
- 21:04Speaker 2: talks to those people, but well, because there's stuff there,
- 21:06Speaker 2: but yeah, yeah, this ship is wild.
- 21:09Speaker 1: They do bring up a couple things that are real.
- 21:12Speaker 1: John is REX eighty four, which it's a it's a
- 21:15Speaker 1: thing Oliver North somehow brought to life. And it's this
- 21:19Speaker 1: directive that came out during the Reagan administration that explains
- 21:23Speaker 1: how in the event of some sort of national emergency,
- 21:26Speaker 1: if we have to initiate martial law, this is how
- 21:29Speaker 1: we'll do it, right, And yeah, that's scary, but you
- 21:31Speaker 1: got to expect the government's going to have something like
- 21:33Speaker 1: that in place.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like the government's job, you know, in theory,
- 21:39Speaker 2: is to make the plans for basically any contingency that
- 21:43Speaker 2: we can think of. It's why we have plans for
- 21:45Speaker 2: if aliens come to earth, like, you know, we got
- 21:50Speaker 2: all sorts of plans.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They also bring up the Council of Governors, which, yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: actually doesn't sound that scary to me at all.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Oh, it's not scary at all. And there's this whole
- 22:00Speaker 2: thing he's really hung up on how the Council of
- 22:05Speaker 2: Governors is divided up into these ten regions, and he
- 22:09Speaker 2: he does this very funny overlay of that with I
- 22:14Speaker 2: think it was the FEMA map that showed the regions
- 22:17Speaker 2: where they where. FEMA was focusing on the digitiis and
- 22:22Speaker 2: he overlays them like this is some sort of secret
- 22:25Speaker 2: code that he's unlocked, when in reality, it's just like, well,
- 22:30Speaker 2: that's the agreed upon regional divisions, Like that's where the
- 22:36Speaker 2: code of Governors, that not Council of Governors comes from.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, I mean we probably would need some level
- 22:43Speaker 1: of coordination depending on the emergency, Like if the power
- 22:47Speaker 1: grid goes down absolutely all around the country, you're gonna
- 22:50Speaker 1: you're gonna appreciate that there's some coordination.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Look, man, I I am so skeptical of of anything
- 22:59Speaker 2: that the government does. And I'm sure that there are
- 23:02Speaker 2: nefarious purposes for a Council of Governors. I'm sure they
- 23:06Speaker 2: aren't great you know, things happening there. But also, like
- 23:11Speaker 2: in a even in a good government that is ethical
- 23:15Speaker 2: and functions normally and properly and you know, is actually
- 23:20Speaker 2: working for the people, we would need something like this
- 23:23Speaker 2: because we're fucking huge and so like we would need,
- 23:28Speaker 2: you know, a group of people who are familiar with
- 23:30Speaker 2: their own specific area to meet up and be able
- 23:34Speaker 2: to coordinate.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and to be like we're so divided as the country,
- 23:40Speaker 1: and the way this thing works, it's I think five
- 23:43Speaker 1: Republicans and five Democrats. Yeah, so it's it's even in
- 23:47Speaker 1: that way, like right, it just seems like, yeah, you're right,
- 23:50Speaker 1: there probably are some nefarious purposes, but also what do
- 23:54Speaker 1: we do again? Yeah, there's a dice, we got a roll.
- 23:57Speaker 2: How else are you going to coordinate between fifty across
- 24:01Speaker 2: like three thousand miles wide, Like it's just insane and honestly,
- 24:06Speaker 2: you know, and this is definitely something that's come up
- 24:09Speaker 2: on the show that that map looks like a pretty
- 24:13Speaker 2: good way to just divide us up into multiple countries.
- 24:16Speaker 2: I think that seems pretty recent.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I wouldn't mind just doing that.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it might be good. I've always that has always
- 24:23Speaker 2: been my solution to the complete breakdown of our government
- 24:28Speaker 2: and society is we need to be central Europe. Like
- 24:32Speaker 2: that's what we need to be, and you know, maybe
- 24:34Speaker 2: have a European Union type thing where we're working together.
- 24:38Speaker 2: But like, we can't keep going like this.
- 24:41Speaker 1: No, So next they send day On the Skeptic out
- 24:45Speaker 1: into the streets.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Okay, okay, real quick, real quick, did they like like
- 24:50Speaker 2: kill Alex the Skeptic?
- 24:52Speaker 1: I think so because he's in the first episode, yes.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Exactly, he's in the first episode and then is not
- 24:58Speaker 2: in has not been in any of the other episodes
- 25:01Speaker 2: so far, and he's been replaced by this Dan guy,
- 25:05Speaker 2: who is somehow even worse.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's way worse. I miss Alex.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna yell the fuck out of Dan on
- 25:12Speaker 2: the Wall Street episode because that guy sucks ass.
- 25:17Speaker 1: He for some reason hops in his car to conduct
- 25:19Speaker 1: a video interview with a prison camp activist named William Lewis.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Like, I definitely need some more information on what that means.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Yeah, he talks about HR six forty five, which is
- 25:34Speaker 1: indeed a bill that passed that called for building these
- 25:38Speaker 1: detention facilities all around the country. Right, there was also
- 25:41Speaker 1: an executive order in like twenty eighteen, well that called
- 25:44Speaker 1: for building them.
- 25:45Speaker 2: But they they're not they're not detention centers. The FEMA
- 25:49Speaker 2: things is the thing that's not how they're described, and
- 25:52Speaker 2: that's not their stated purpose.
- 25:55Speaker 1: No, I mean, it depends on which ones you're talking about.
- 25:58Speaker 1: The one they visit has called a resident.
- 26:02Speaker 2: But here's the thing, and again, this is the whole
- 26:06Speaker 2: smoke screen of this episode, and it's given away by
- 26:11Speaker 2: one of the people that they talk to at that facility,
- 26:15Speaker 2: which is that is not a FEMA facility, that is
- 26:20Speaker 2: an ICE facility. They mentioned talking to ICE, like the
- 26:24Speaker 2: lady is like, why don't we redirect you to our
- 26:27Speaker 2: ICE uh, you know, local ICE headquarters and you can
- 26:32Speaker 2: and like that's the giveaway it is this is not
- 26:35Speaker 2: related to the FEMA camps.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the the FEMA camps, they don't ever really show
- 26:40Speaker 1: no or they're like it's either that or they're just
- 26:43Speaker 1: conflating these two things, right, because these are definitely immigrant immigrant.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Absolutely, that's yeah, that is what they are at, that's
- 26:50Speaker 2: what they visit. But that was what really tipped me
- 26:53Speaker 2: off to like the whole smoke screen of this is, yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 2: they're just conflating the real, very real ICE immigration detention
- 27:02Speaker 2: centers with the FEMA camps that are outlined in the bill.
- 27:07Speaker 2: And another giveaway is that the whole reason they're in
- 27:11Speaker 2: the bill is so they can be built in the future,
- 27:15Speaker 2: whereas they visit a facility that is built and running,
- 27:20Speaker 2: so it doesn't really apply.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Now here's a scene. I really hated this guy that
- 27:26Speaker 1: he's doing this interview with in the car directs him
- 27:30Speaker 1: to one of these facilities, and he Dan the Skeptic,
- 27:35Speaker 1: gets to this facility and he pulls up to this
- 27:37Speaker 1: fenced entrance that it looks like an entrance, and you
- 27:42Speaker 1: do see some like bunker looking sort of things down
- 27:45Speaker 1: in this sort of valley area. And it's in Los Angeles, right,
- 27:50Speaker 1: And then like cops show up and Dan's like, oh,
- 27:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna get out of here. And here's the thing.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I don't know if maybe the person editing this show
- 28:00Speaker 1: doesn't like Jesse Ventura and his team, but they flash
- 28:04Speaker 1: a sign on the screen as Dan is backing up,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and here's what that sign says. Access to Van Norman
- 28:12Speaker 1: Reservoir complex must be made through security gates located on
- 28:16Speaker 1: Rinaldi Street and Suppulvita Boulevard. So of all the times
- 28:20Speaker 1: to not just go up to security and be like, hey,
- 28:22Speaker 1: what is this, Yeah, this is the time they decide
- 28:25Speaker 1: not to do that when there's a perfectly helpful sign
- 28:29Speaker 1: telling you that that's where you should go. Of course
- 28:32Speaker 1: they're suspicious if you look into it. This is the
- 28:35Speaker 1: reservoir for LA's water. Yeah, Like it's how they get
- 28:40Speaker 1: water to La and keep it clean.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, like LA for those who maybe don't know, is
- 28:46Speaker 2: in a desert and having a fresh source of water
- 28:50Speaker 2: is vital to keeping everyone in La alive.
- 28:56Speaker 1: And I don't get why you don't do your usual
- 29:00Speaker 1: interview things.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Well, because it's it's this fucking coward Dan, who I
- 29:06Speaker 2: fucking hate.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I hate Dan.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I really don't like him. He he is somehow
- 29:12Speaker 2: worse a least believable, less believable skeptic than Alex. It's
- 29:16Speaker 2: insane speaking of Alex.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Now he and Jesse are going to check out an
- 29:22Speaker 1: American concentration camp.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Did Alex the skeptic like animorph into Alex Jones?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Oh no, that was Bill Hicks. But that is a
- 29:31Speaker 1: compelling thing.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Oh no, no, Billy's weird.
- 29:36Speaker 1: There are some there are some weird there's some weirdness
- 29:39Speaker 1: between Alex Jones and Bill Hicks.
- 29:41Speaker 2: But but Alex Jones doesn't have the sense of empathy
- 29:45Speaker 2: of Bill Hicks.
- 29:46Speaker 1: Maybe Bill Hicks lost his.
- 29:48Speaker 2: When he died. Yeah, maybe.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah. So when they say they're going to check out
- 29:54Speaker 1: an American concentration camp, what they're really checking out is
- 29:57Speaker 1: the t Don Huddo Residential Center. And we were using
- 30:02Speaker 1: it then for the same thing we're using it for
- 30:04Speaker 1: now it is a ICE detention center yep. And Alex
- 30:08Speaker 1: Jones covers this part by just like casually throwing out that, well,
- 30:13Speaker 1: y yeah, they'll use it for immigrants first and then
- 30:17Speaker 1: Americans exactly next.
- 30:19Speaker 2: And again one of the many tells of where this
- 30:23Speaker 2: episode is misleading you.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Right, And here's the thing. I can absolutely see a
- 30:29Speaker 1: scenario where Americans get up in arms enough that the
- 30:33Speaker 1: government goes out and has to arrest people in Mass.
- 30:37Speaker 2: I have a list here of every ICE detention center
- 30:40Speaker 2: and then HUDDO is there and it is currently in use.
- 30:44Speaker 2: It is a resident yeah, I looked it up. Yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 2: So that's just what this is.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's just that the more immediate threat from
- 30:53Speaker 1: these places is that we're going to round up immigrants
- 30:56Speaker 1: and deport them in mass.
- 30:59Speaker 2: And the thing about it, you know, it's not that
- 31:02Speaker 2: we don't round up protesters and you know, persecute protesters,
- 31:07Speaker 2: almost all of them left wing and the anarchists, but
- 31:10Speaker 2: we just put them in prison. We don't or kill them.
- 31:12Speaker 2: We actually don't need detention centers for that. Like that's
- 31:15Speaker 2: the thing.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's again one of the big problems with
- 31:20Speaker 1: this is it's a question that comes up with governments
- 31:23Speaker 1: all the time as well. What do you mean when
- 31:24Speaker 1: you're talking about terrorists? And in the case of this show,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I want to know what Jesse Ventura and team mean
- 31:31Speaker 1: yeah when they're talking about terrorists, because I kind of
- 31:33Speaker 1: feel like, yeah, left wing protesters and anarchists would be
- 31:37Speaker 1: considered terrorists exactly the Jesse Ventura regime, and.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Not bomb throwing pro life advocates, who again are the
- 31:47Speaker 2: only one of the only two groups that are specifically
- 31:51Speaker 2: brought up as innocent groups that are in danger of
- 31:55Speaker 2: being rounded up by this nefarious program.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's analysis.
- 32:00Speaker 2: This is the first time that this show has been
- 32:02Speaker 2: openly right wing. That is one my major problem with
- 32:06Speaker 2: this episode.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Obama was in office, so I.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Mean yeah, but he's been office the whole show, Like, oh.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess he has. So now we're in the
- 32:17Speaker 1: woods and Alex and Jesse. This is the scene we
- 32:20Speaker 1: saw in the open where it sucks. They're peeking around
- 32:24Speaker 1: the forest there there there's this scene where they just
- 32:28Speaker 1: both kind of rise up. Yeah, they look all wide
- 32:31Speaker 1: eyed and what they're seeing.
- 32:33Speaker 2: And they don't really show what they're seeing. He kind
- 32:36Speaker 2: of get a glimpse.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's it's a it's like a scene out
- 32:40Speaker 1: of Gone Fishing or something. It looks like a Buddy
- 32:44Speaker 1: comedy star and aging dudes.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's just Alex Jones. Like, you know,
- 32:52Speaker 2: he isn't he's got that entertainment bone in him in
- 32:57Speaker 2: addition to his his insane bone. But like he is
- 33:03Speaker 2: compelling to watch, at least in this time period.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Now, he's a clone made from Bill Hicks DNA.
- 33:11Speaker 2: The problem is that he has just grown so large
- 33:14Speaker 2: and pink over the years that he is just yeah, yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 2: that's why he's he's like mutating and like he has
- 33:24Speaker 2: just lost all entertainment value as the years have gone on.
- 33:27Speaker 2: But like this is like prime. He's kind of funny
- 33:31Speaker 2: to watch, even if he's a lunatic spreading dangerous ideas.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I still maintain the most charming Alex Jones has ever been.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I saw a early video of him when he just
- 33:41Speaker 1: had a public access show. Yeah, and it was Halloween
- 33:44Speaker 1: and he was just carving pumpkins and taking calls from uhh,
- 33:48Speaker 1: wear's that Alex Jones?
- 33:49Speaker 2: I would watch that. That sounds probably probably not that.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I don't know if I would do that. I don't
- 33:55Speaker 2: want to be in a room with him, but like.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I mean I would carve pumpkins all taking
- 33:59Speaker 1: questions from people. For sure. We should do that.
- 34:01Speaker 2: That would be fun.
- 34:02Speaker 1: That would be a lot of fun.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Uh. But like he you know, he was in the
- 34:05Speaker 2: he was also in I've mentioned this before, he was
- 34:07Speaker 2: in a Scanner Darkly Richard Link Leader's a Scanner Darkly
- 34:11Speaker 2: because he was just like a local Austin guy who
- 34:14Speaker 2: everybody just kind of knows as a fun kook.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's how the infiltrators always start.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And yeah, and this is this has sold me entirely
- 34:23Speaker 2: on him being a plant this episode. I was kind
- 34:27Speaker 2: of on the fence before.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because he does show up, like right when they
- 34:32Speaker 1: not long after the thing where the woman let slip that, hey,
- 34:36Speaker 1: you should call Ice, right you have questions about what's
- 34:39Speaker 1: happening here. Yeah, and then boom, that's when Alex Joff
- 34:42Speaker 1: shows up exactly and he takes it. Turns out the
- 34:45Speaker 1: thing they're traversing the woods to look at they call
- 34:49Speaker 1: them coffins. They say, look, there's all these coffins and
- 34:53Speaker 1: they don't look like coffins that I've ever seen. No
- 34:56Speaker 1: and it turns out that what they are is basic
- 35:00Speaker 1: grave liners. So you dig the grave, then you put
- 35:03Speaker 1: this liner in it, and then you put the coffin
- 35:06Speaker 1: in that, right, and it's meant to keep it safe.
- 35:09Speaker 1: And they're like, well, well why do they need so many?
- 35:12Speaker 1: In this company that makes them? They're called Vantage Products
- 35:16Speaker 1: corp Ugh, So Advantage Products Corpse.
- 35:20Speaker 2: Every every fucking company that has a name like that
- 35:23Speaker 2: is so fucking sinister. The more boring the name, the
- 35:28Speaker 2: more sinister it seems.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And here's the thing, it's not that they aren't sinister,
- 35:33Speaker 1: it's just I don't think the conclusion they come to
- 35:36Speaker 1: here is correct, right exactly, because what they're arguing first
- 35:41Speaker 1: first their question is well why do you need because
- 35:45Speaker 1: the company is like, well, we did we make them
- 35:47Speaker 1: for when we need to send them out? What do
- 35:49Speaker 1: you what do you want? You think we custom make
- 35:52Speaker 1: these things. We have a fucking field where we keep
- 35:55Speaker 1: them exactly And they're like, well, why would you need
- 35:59Speaker 1: that many all at once? And it's like, man, seven
- 36:02Speaker 1: thousand some people die in the United States every day,
- 36:05Speaker 1: like they're gonna need to have them on hand getting
- 36:09Speaker 1: buried all the.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Time, exactly, Like where do you think this is how
- 36:14Speaker 2: it's done with basically any manufacturing industry. It's not like
- 36:18Speaker 2: they make each one as they sell. It doesn't make
- 36:21Speaker 2: any sense.
- 36:22Speaker 1: And yeah, I like that. At the end of the
- 36:24Speaker 1: episode they mentioned that this company came and hauled all
- 36:26Speaker 1: these things away, and it's like, yeah, I wonder why.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Probably because Jesse Venture and Alex Jones showed up and
- 36:34Speaker 1: now that's gonna be on TV and everyone else is
- 36:36Speaker 1: gonna come Jesus. And here's the thing. It's not that
- 36:39Speaker 1: they're not sinister, no, because here's what they do. They
- 36:43Speaker 1: they draw this path from Vantage Corp. To a company
- 36:47Speaker 1: called Hercules Incorporated. Vantage Corp used to be a research
- 36:52Speaker 1: and development wing of Hercules Incorporated. Hercules Incorporated is a
- 36:57Speaker 1: subsidiary of Halliburton. So the conclusion they're trying to draw
- 37:02Speaker 1: here is why is Halliburton buying so many coffins from
- 37:07Speaker 1: Vantage Corp? Vantage Products? And here's the thing. If you
- 37:12Speaker 1: dig into Hercules Incorporated, one of the things they worked
- 37:15Speaker 1: on were rockets, rockets, missiles sometimes even like intercontinental ballistic missiles.
- 37:23Speaker 1: And one of the things we know goes into making
- 37:25Speaker 1: a rocket is foam, yep and structural foam because they
- 37:29Speaker 1: have to be made out of very lightweight products, so
- 37:32Speaker 1: they exactly fly. And if you go to I'll link
- 37:35Speaker 1: to the there's a Newton Chamber of Commerce page for
- 37:39Speaker 1: Vantage Products court. There you go, and they say their
- 37:42Speaker 1: main contribution to the funeral industry structural foam. Ay, so
- 37:47Speaker 1: clearly they're selling coffins to hallibur It's like, no, they
- 37:51Speaker 1: help Haliburton make fucking.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Rockets, Yeah, which is not good.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I don't I don't doubt that this is
- 37:57Speaker 1: a government owned place that's like, also, we should make
- 38:00Speaker 1: some funeral shit to cover.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, it's a separately bad thing. But again, they're
- 38:05Speaker 2: just you know, and Alex Jones is just ready to
- 38:09Speaker 2: totally leap on the most extreme interpretation of these you
- 38:14Speaker 2: know events.
- 38:15Speaker 1: And so is Jesse venture And well.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Jesse Ventura is, as I've mentioned on basically every episode
- 38:22Speaker 2: of this the most credulous person who has ever lived
- 38:26Speaker 2: in history, and will literally believe anything that you tell
- 38:30Speaker 2: him as long as you say it, Like, did you
- 38:33Speaker 2: know that frogs actually eat brains? It's true.
- 38:38Speaker 1: They're making the frogs gay.
- 38:40Speaker 2: They're making the frogs gay, and the gay frogs eat brains.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Yep. So now we're back to the detention centers. And
- 38:47Speaker 1: at this point, I'm like, are they gonna bury us
- 38:49Speaker 1: all or kill or arrest us all? Because if they're
- 38:52Speaker 1: just gonna throw everyone in detention centers, what are the
- 38:55Speaker 1: coffins for.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Well, this should tie into something that we haven't really
- 39:00Speaker 2: mentioned about this whole thing, which is every time they
- 39:06Speaker 2: mentioned the word concentration camp or allude to it, they
- 39:10Speaker 2: show black and white footage of Nazi Germany and concentration camps.
- 39:16Speaker 2: And I think that's literally what they are thinking. It's
- 39:21Speaker 2: like they needed the concentration camp where they're going to
- 39:25Speaker 2: work us to death.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Oh that makes sense when.
- 39:28Speaker 2: In fact, weirdly enough, compared to other prisons, at least
- 39:32Speaker 2: from what I know, they put immigrants in detention centers
- 39:36Speaker 2: and you know, deprive them of most of their needs
- 39:41Speaker 2: and don't make them work. Yeah, yeah, Like it's very
- 39:45Speaker 2: Actually it must be a pr thing that they don't
- 39:48Speaker 2: make them work, right.
- 39:49Speaker 1: It could be like, actually, there was a scandal that
- 39:52Speaker 1: came out at one point about the work that was
- 39:56Speaker 1: being offered to immigrants and detention centers.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Oh well, you know, maybe they are making them work.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I haven't done enough research on that.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Yeah, they were getting paid I think it was a
- 40:06Speaker 1: dollar an hour, and if they chose not to work,
- 40:09Speaker 1: they were like deprived of basic needs. But you don't
- 40:14Speaker 1: worry a little. The immigrants are being harshly treated right
- 40:18Speaker 1: in these facilities.
- 40:20Speaker 2: But not work to death does not work.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Yeah, they have the option to be worked to death
- 40:25Speaker 1: or not, but choose not to, they'll be something else
- 40:29Speaker 1: to death.
- 40:30Speaker 2: And these in these places they aren't prisons because prisoners
- 40:34Speaker 2: they make what twenty five cents to fifty cents an hour,
- 40:38Speaker 2: Like you're doubling that baby, that's you know, that's chump
- 40:42Speaker 2: change compared to your buck an hour.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to be in the illuminati soon with
- 40:46Speaker 1: that much cash. And so they they do touch on
- 40:50Speaker 1: something that's kind of timely, but also something that sort
- 40:53Speaker 1: of undoes the entire premise here, which is, well, what
- 40:56Speaker 1: they're planning is they're going to kick off a pandemic
- 41:00Speaker 1: and they're going to use these detention centers. That's how
- 41:03Speaker 1: they're going to justify rounding people up and putting them
- 41:06Speaker 1: in these detention centers. And for one, my question is
- 41:09Speaker 1: what would what good would that do? Well, pandemic.
- 41:12Speaker 2: First of all, here's my this this part was also
- 41:17Speaker 2: extremely infuriating. You know, their big evidence for this is
- 41:22Speaker 2: a FEMA document that outlines how they would respond to
- 41:28Speaker 2: a pandemic, and that's good to do it right. And
- 41:34Speaker 2: as far as what they would need, you know, large
- 41:37Speaker 2: you know, makeshift facilities for or camps housing people who
- 41:42Speaker 2: they are studying, you know, who have the illness or
- 41:46Speaker 2: you know, I don't know, quarantining people, having facility lab
- 41:51Speaker 2: facilities out and able to study things like. There are
- 41:54Speaker 2: many ways that you would need these kinds of facilities.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah. And and one of the ways this episode hasn't
- 42:01Speaker 1: aged well in that regard is we are in the
- 42:04Speaker 1: middle of a pandemic that has taken I think we're
- 42:08Speaker 1: up to six hundred thousand plus lives in the United States.
- 42:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I kind of lost track after half a million.
- 42:14Speaker 1: And it doesn't feel like we're propelling toward martial law
- 42:18Speaker 1: right now. I guess if you're on the right and
- 42:20Speaker 1: you see having to wear a mask as the ultimate
- 42:23Speaker 1: and government oppression, that's sure.
- 42:25Speaker 2: And that is the whole thing about Alex Jones and
- 42:29Speaker 2: right wing conspiracies is the smallest, most innocent inconvenience is
- 42:34Speaker 2: a massive conspiracy to steal their freedom. But also we
- 42:38Speaker 2: did almost see martial law, but it was in response
- 42:42Speaker 2: to left wing protests against police brutality throughout the country
- 42:48Speaker 2: last year that inspired martial law, and you know, curfuse
- 42:53Speaker 2: and shit to curb people protesting the illegal murder of
- 42:59Speaker 2: civilian by of your government. Basically, yeah, which is exactly
- 43:04Speaker 2: what they're worried about in this but they that's not
- 43:07Speaker 2: a thing that they care about. And in fact, Alex
- 43:09Speaker 2: Jones is on the record is being totally in favor
- 43:12Speaker 2: of every resistance to left wing protests.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Right, yeah, Yeah, it's it's the kind of thing that,
- 43:21Speaker 1: depending on what side you're on, if what they're describing
- 43:24Speaker 1: actually happens, you're gonna be like ha haaaa. Finally, like,
- 43:28Speaker 1: if they round up right wingers and like the type
- 43:32Speaker 1: of people who are prone to storm in the capitol,
- 43:35Speaker 1: a lot of people on the left are going to
- 43:36Speaker 1: be like, good, ye, what they should do.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Well, it's interesting because I don't disagree with you. But
- 43:44Speaker 2: also there is an imbalance in the amount of violence perpetrated.
- 43:51Speaker 2: You know, that's not a perfectly balanced scale left and
- 43:55Speaker 2: right when it comes to who deserves to be punished,
- 43:59Speaker 2: you know, especially because the left is fighting for good
- 44:03Speaker 2: things and the right is a bunch of whiny babies.
- 44:07Speaker 2: But like, you know, I don't want the government necessarily
- 44:12Speaker 2: rounding up anybody. I think that's bad and would lead
- 44:17Speaker 2: to me dying probably, and so I don't like that.
- 44:21Speaker 2: But like, you know, some people just deserve to be
- 44:26Speaker 2: uh punished, not jail, because jail sucks, but like if
- 44:30Speaker 2: you're a violent, fucking right wing militant, then you know,
- 44:37Speaker 2: you should have some stuff come in your way. Yeah. Anyways,
- 44:40Speaker 2: so where were we in the episode.
- 44:44Speaker 1: Well, now Jesse's it's time to storm Conress.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he's storming the Capitol.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he's going to storm the Capitol and kick some
- 44:51Speaker 1: congressional aid ass. Uh. First person he tries is Jim
- 44:55Speaker 1: Garlock of Pennsylvania. But both times Jim hears that Jesse
- 45:00Speaker 1: wants to talk about FEMA concentration camps and is like, no,
- 45:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna take off.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no way that this comes out good for me.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah, which is smoking gun proof that FEMA concentration camps
- 45:10Speaker 1: exist right.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Exactly, and not smoking gun proof that Jesse Ventura is
- 45:15Speaker 2: like poison to someone's public image.
- 45:18Speaker 1: But then the co sponsor of the bill, Steve Cohen,
- 45:22Speaker 1: is fine talking to Jesse, and I'm like, you should
- 45:24Speaker 1: have just started there. That seems like a better get
- 45:26Speaker 1: in terms of an interview regarding this bill. What if
- 45:29Speaker 1: we think about Steve Cohen, I mean, I it seemed
- 45:33Speaker 1: like he was being a little shady, but again, it's
- 45:36Speaker 1: very possible that it's because well, I don't want people
- 45:38Speaker 1: to know we're gonna start rounding up immigrants.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Well, yes, that is the thing. Again, this is my
- 45:44Speaker 2: whole thesis on this episode is everything that they talk
- 45:47Speaker 2: about is actually about immigrants, and everybody that they talk
- 45:51Speaker 2: to who's involved with this thing is kind of relieved
- 45:55Speaker 2: that they're not that they are just talking about the
- 45:58Speaker 2: fake stuff. And when it, yeah, like I don't like,
- 46:02Speaker 2: I did not get a good vibe off of Steve Cohen,
- 46:05Speaker 2: But I also got like, I don't disbelieve him when
- 46:11Speaker 2: he says the FEMA camps in the bill don't exist,
- 46:14Speaker 2: and I and I and I believe his confusion over
- 46:18Speaker 2: what bill Jesse was talking about is valid because literally
- 46:22Speaker 2: all Jesse says is like, do you agree with what
- 46:26Speaker 2: said in the bill? I don't know I need to
- 46:29Speaker 2: know what you think about the bill.
- 46:31Speaker 1: He ever specifies, He doesn't specify the bill. And then
- 46:35Speaker 1: he also talks about a real facility that he went
- 46:38Speaker 1: to vessit had the name of and he's just got
- 46:41Speaker 1: this innate ability to describe something that's real but make
- 46:45Speaker 1: it sound like the most insane bullshit you've ever heard. Yes,
- 46:49Speaker 1: and the way he describes the detention center they saw,
- 46:53Speaker 1: it's insane and like it makes no sense. It like,
- 46:56Speaker 1: just give him the name. I say, here's the name
- 46:59Speaker 1: of the place we went. Here's the bill exactly.
- 47:01Speaker 2: He never says the name. That's the thing. And so
- 47:04Speaker 2: the whole time that Jesse is like trying to grill
- 47:07Speaker 2: him on this facility that he visited, which again is
- 47:11Speaker 2: not a facility that was enacted by this bill, because
- 47:17Speaker 2: nothing this bill is like brand new in this when
- 47:20Speaker 2: this thing started, when this episode aired, all he says
- 47:25Speaker 2: is we went to a facility in Texas and they
- 47:28Speaker 2: had it was a residential facility and it was surrounded
- 47:32Speaker 2: by barbed wire. And the guy is like, I don't
- 47:34Speaker 2: know what you're talking about this this this doesn't I
- 47:38Speaker 2: don't know this facility because you haven't given me any
- 47:41Speaker 2: information other than a basic description of its premises. It's
- 47:47Speaker 2: just really strange.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Yeah, he makes it sound like they found some unmarked
- 47:52Speaker 1: building in the middle of the desert. Exactly, Dude, it's
- 47:55Speaker 1: got I googled it, it's got an address, it's got
- 47:57Speaker 1: a website. You can fucking email them.
- 47:59Speaker 2: But but you know, I really do feel like it's
- 48:02Speaker 2: either a Jesse could not remember the name of the facility,
- 48:07Speaker 2: which seems like it could be likely.
- 48:09Speaker 1: Yeah, t don Huddo Residential Center. I was gonna say
- 48:14Speaker 1: brain at all.
- 48:15Speaker 2: I did not say it because I could not remember
- 48:18Speaker 2: the name of it. But also, uh, you know, he
- 48:22Speaker 2: might just have known that that would kind of backfire
- 48:25Speaker 2: on him if he actually specifically named the building. But
- 48:29Speaker 2: not naming it also backfired because it made him look
- 48:32Speaker 2: like a fucking idiot.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah. I would have liked if he named it, because
- 48:35Speaker 1: then Steve Cohen might have been like, oh, you're talking
- 48:38Speaker 1: about the immigrant place, huh yeah, and then just shuts
- 48:41Speaker 1: down the inner exactly.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, you're talking. Oh you mean the ice facility.
- 48:45Speaker 2: I mean, uh, but like, yeah, and I understand it.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Steve Cohen is the guy who basically pushed for this
- 48:52Speaker 2: episode to be pulled after it aired. It only aired once,
- 48:57Speaker 2: and uh, I get it, because Jesse is again spreading
- 49:03Speaker 2: a lot of dangerous misinformation that is inaccurate as a
- 49:09Speaker 2: smoke screen for the real thing that is actually happening.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's misdirecting people.
- 49:15Speaker 2: And I don't think Jesse's doing it on purpose, because
- 49:18Speaker 2: again I think, Jesse, you can just get Jesse Ventura
- 49:21Speaker 2: to say whatever you want with very little provocation. I
- 49:26Speaker 2: think it'd be easy.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I do like that. In response to the criticism behind
- 49:31Speaker 1: this misty schedule, a Turner spokesperson Yeah described conspiracy theory
- 49:38Speaker 1: as quote, an entertainment program that appears on an entertainment network.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:44Speaker 1: And I don't know if I buy that excuse, because
- 49:48Speaker 1: you can't go all right, this company yan Guard they're
- 49:52Speaker 1: making coffins that they're selling to Halliburt. Right, that is
- 49:55Speaker 1: a pretty damaging accusation. Yeah, that's up there with my
- 50:00Speaker 1: being like, hey, Dominion were stealing our democracy.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Well and like and implying that, I mean, just all
- 50:07Speaker 2: of the Holocaust stuff is so tasteless, Like I'm not
- 50:10Speaker 2: saying that there are no Holocaust comparisons to be made
- 50:14Speaker 2: with our modern immigration system. But he's not talking about
- 50:19Speaker 2: our immigration system. He's talking about this fantasy of Americans
- 50:26Speaker 2: being rounded up, like and it's not like it's ever happened,
- 50:29Speaker 2: but it's happened very specifically, and you know, he's just
- 50:32Speaker 2: making these very broadsided, you know, shots at things.
- 50:37Speaker 1: And when we talk about the possibility of a holocaust
- 50:41Speaker 1: involving immigrants, the whole angle of this show is, well,
- 50:45Speaker 1: they're spying on the people who are most likely to
- 50:49Speaker 1: lead to a holocaust of immigrants, right, because that's like,
- 50:53Speaker 1: that's that's Trump supporters, that's the right right now. Exactly,
- 50:57Speaker 1: if anything like that is going to happen, it's gonna
- 51:00Speaker 1: come from that side.
- 51:02Speaker 2: I know it's gonna come from Alex Jones.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I know some segment of the white population would love
- 51:09Speaker 1: to believe that it's white people who are gonna be genocided.
- 51:12Speaker 1: But it's like, man, what what when do you think
- 51:15Speaker 1: that switch happened in the American government?
- 51:17Speaker 2: Right?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Like, get the fuck.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Out exactly, Ron, Well, yeah, and of course Alex Jones
- 51:22Speaker 2: is also a proponent of the white genocide theory.
- 51:26Speaker 1: And meanwhile, if this turned into a immigrant genocide, those
- 51:31Speaker 1: motherfuckers wouldn't care. They know, Yes, finally we're making America
- 51:34Speaker 1: America again.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Right. This is the whole thing. This is what it
- 51:37Speaker 2: was so fucking infuriating about this episode is they are
- 51:43Speaker 2: talking about like especially that Ice facility. Part was just
- 51:48Speaker 2: driving me baddy because they were give those people were
- 51:52Speaker 2: giving them the information. They were not talking about things.
- 51:56Speaker 2: They were like, no comment, no comment, no comment. But
- 51:58Speaker 2: that lady said go talk talk to fucking Ice, and
- 52:01Speaker 2: Jesse event Sura, the guy who wanted to storm Plumb
- 52:04Speaker 2: Island didn't go and fucking storm the local Ice headquarters.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Nope.
- 52:10Speaker 2: That that represents a massive ideological blind spot on his
- 52:15Speaker 2: part and honestly makes me not want to smoke weed
- 52:17Speaker 2: with him anymore.
- 52:18Speaker 1: The same. Yeah, Like he doesn't really even question it
- 52:21Speaker 1: when she says go talk to Ice. No, he's it's
- 52:24Speaker 1: it's more like, well, okay, well if it's ice, then
- 52:27Speaker 1: it's hot.
- 52:28Speaker 2: And Ice was not as well known as of a
- 52:32Speaker 2: organization than even you know, it's a you know, so
- 52:35Speaker 2: many people don't realize how fucking new Ice is. It
- 52:40Speaker 2: was created after nine to eleven, Like, it's not an
- 52:44Speaker 2: institution of our of our country, you know that is
- 52:48Speaker 2: vital to its operation. We can get rid of it
- 52:51Speaker 2: today and nothing about our lives would change. Fuck Ice,
- 52:54Speaker 2: I hate them.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Ice can go away. So that's our episode.
- 52:58Speaker 1: That's that's the app episode of Conspiracy the Show. That
- 53:02Speaker 1: of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. All episodes of Conspiracy
- 53:06Speaker 1: the Show are too hot for TV. And that's why
- 53:09Speaker 1: me and Olivia aren't on TV with this exactly.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's just hot enough for a podcast.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Yes, yes, but this episode of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse
- 53:19Speaker 1: Ventura too hot for TV. Nevertheless, we will link to
- 53:23Speaker 1: it in the show notes so you can give it
- 53:24Speaker 1: a watch, to give some some innocent daily Motion user
- 53:30Speaker 1: and influx of traffic that will baffle them for sure.
- 53:33Speaker 2: And you know, and and and check out daily Motion.
- 53:36Speaker 1: It's got everything, it really does.
- 53:39Speaker 2: I don't know how they get away with it.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe they're not that big, maybe pretty big.
- 53:44Speaker 1: They've been around a long time. I bet people work
- 53:46Speaker 1: there and have age.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they've been around forever, and I like they've never
- 53:52Speaker 2: gone down even Yeah weird anyway.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Very weird. Vimeo too. Vimeo ever happens to Vimeo.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Neo has gotten more restricted, whereas daily Motion has not. Yeah, anyway,
- 54:05Speaker 2: I just downloaded a movie off of Daily Motion. It's good,
- 54:07Speaker 2: very nice.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Anyway, So on the next episode, we're going to backtrack
- 54:13Speaker 1: a little and cover episode three of this highly controversial season. Yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 1: of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Venture. It's the Wall Street
- 54:22Speaker 1: episode and this is okay, you're implying Wall Streets getting
- 54:26Speaker 1: up to something shady.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's got a basically exact reverse proportionate amount of
- 54:36Speaker 2: racist material within it. It's like it's whereas this one
- 54:41Speaker 2: was like mostly cover up for a racist smoke screen,
- 54:46Speaker 2: this one, the Wall Street one, is mostly real shit
- 54:49Speaker 2: with just a little bit of bad stuff sprinkled throughout.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Very very minor. So do we have anything to plug
- 54:56Speaker 1: before we get out of here?
- 54:58Speaker 2: Uh? You can find me on Twitter, their hidar and
- 55:02Speaker 2: other than that, you know, just kind of leave me alone.
- 55:06Speaker 1: You can follow this show on Instagram. I'm finally going
- 55:10Speaker 1: to start using that, I guess at Conspira Pops. So
- 55:15Speaker 1: do that, and you can look at pictures associated with
- 55:18Speaker 1: this podcast and things are the like, and uh, I
- 55:21Speaker 1: think that's it.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Should we get out of here? Yeah, Olivia say goodbye bye,
- 55:26Speaker 1: goodbye everybody we love here
