Mental Health + Addiction: Dual Diagnosis
Addiction and mental health disorders are common dual diagnoses. Mental health disorders can cause an addiction to develop. Addiction can also cause mental health disorders to develop. The issue is that treating one isn't going to address the other. They both need to be treated separately in order for addiction recovery to be successful.
