Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Good evening, Broncos Country, and welcome back to another solo edition of the Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: I am one half of your football priest, Zach Kelperman sitting in solo as I mentioned for Chad Jensen, who's still away.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: On personal business, I believe he'll be back tomorrow, but it's just me here, Scott behind the scenes, and a kick it with you for about, I don't know, forty five minutes or so tonight, depending on how the super's go, I want to talk about.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_01]: no effect getting released by Seattle, a couple Broncos tidbits as we're letting to next week's opening of training camp.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I just want to because I saw this, as soon as I logged in the stream yard, Michaela Parker, huge super off the top roof, getting us going right off the bat.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Michaela.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: One of our favorite people ever in this profession or in life, you're so generous, you're so amazing.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Michaela.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: I got my tickets for the Broncos game versus the Giants can't wait.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's also
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: The meet and greet, the MHH meet and greet this year.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: Week seven, Broncos Giants going to be amazing in Denver.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: McKayla's going to be there.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: The Duchess, the foundational member of this podcast community, can't wait to shake your hand McKayla, tell you, thank you so much once again.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: And we hope to see everyone else out there as well at the meet and greet celebrating what will be a Broncos victory over Russell Wilson's Giants.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much again, McKayla.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'll hit the
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: We'll get, well, we'll hit this super since it's this sort, and it's topic of the pods and I error call it five dollar super.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, sign Noah in a heartbeat, more toys for both of play with Hashtag Go Broncos.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the crux, Eric.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, that's what we titled to show around.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: No offense has been cut by the Seattle Seahawks.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of breaking news in the sense because there's no other breaking news until training camp starts.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: I wrote about it for the website.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about it right now.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's a free agent.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: Should the Broncos bring him back?
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: I understand two schools have thought whether he should come back, whether he will come back, the fan interest or the fan disinterest after he was shipped out in the Russell Wilson trade.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: String guy wants Scott to jump in.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that Scott wants to jump in String guy, but he is more than welcome to whatever.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: My Thompson saying a loner doesn't.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's, uh, so I'll start with that school of thought as to why the Broncos should not bring back Noah fan.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, number one, exes are exes for a reason.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: And in the George Peyton Sean Peyton regime, it's exceedingly rare for the Broncos to bring back a player they parted with.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: There's a reason why he was included.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: He was deemed expendable in the Russell Wilson trade.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's number one.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, he didn't really do much as the tight end one or with his opportunities atop the depth chart in Denver.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of you guys forget he was three yards and fall down, three yards on a cloud of dusk.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's what he brought to the table.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: He never lived up to the first round, twenty-eighth overall pedigree.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: And you can argue it was quarterback play, whatever, but that's the reality of it.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't do much in Seattle either, otherwise Seattle wouldn't have released him on the doorstep of training camp.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one thing.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't do much and the narratives around know a fan aside.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos do have their unquestioned starter and Evan Ingram.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: They pay them a nice chuck of change.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: He is the tight end one.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Behind him, you have a group of incumbents who Sean Peyton likes.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Number one being Adam Troutman, who is one of Sean Peyton's favorites.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: I am not the biggest Adam Troutman fan.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: Scott and I were talking about this before the pod.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: I thought maybe they can move on from Troutman, save the money, put it to our know a fan.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's a negligible when you figure in the dead money after the cap savings.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: And Sean Pete really likes them.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good blocker, a good teammate, locker room guy, yada yada.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: They're not coming off him.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas Crowe kind of expendable, even though Sean Patens talked him up to.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Adkins expendable, Caleb Loner though, as one of the comments that I think it was Mike Thompson.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: You spend a draft pick on him, big basketball, Jimmy Graham, Antonio Gates, Sile, background, every pass he caught in college last season was a touchdown.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: You like what's there on paper, hypothetically, and you want to mold that into actuality.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: So do you sign off and delay the progression and development of Caleb Loner?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's the school of thought there.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I can understand why Barack was fans don't want to bring it back.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: And Scott says, here, no offense didn't have one season in Seattle.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: That was better than any of his three in Denver and it's true.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: Given the opportunity with better quarterback play, more stability around him, he was basically the same in OFM.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't say that overly disparagingly.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: He is who he is.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: He is not worthy of being a first round pick.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's a bust in that sense, but he's not the worst high-end we've ever seen in our lives, especially in Broncos Country, Jeff Hirman, Jake Butt.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: You got to get a correct dosage.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: So he is who he is.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: And now, if you want to bring that skill set of boards, just because you don't like Adam Troutman, you have to also figure the guys behind Troutman.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do you impede the progress of a loner or of an eight-addictens or a velucous curl?
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Just do you have to have no offense?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: You have to upgrade that spot.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if you didn't sign up, an Ingram, absolutely.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: But you did.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: So you might not have to.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's the first school I thought.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: And we can shift into the other one.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: And a second, I just want to go through the super really quickly.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: See, or the comments, if I miss any anything from David here says a finger him to go down, we are back to garbage, I didn't play so bring fan back.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that kind of leads me into my other point, Congo saying the fan.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: the fan jet swoops were elite.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was the rich kangaroos special in twenty nineteen it's even carried over in a pack suremer as well, but he's not that type of guy.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's all a joke, but some tight ends can do something with the ball in that scenario.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: And the Travis Kelsey a few years ago, Sam LePortar out there and Detroit athletic tight ends with the ball in their hands.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: They can make people miss.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: You can do creative things.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: You just can't do that with no offense.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not who he is.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: The other school of thought, you don't have anyone behind Evan and Guru.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: And if he does, does go down.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'll knock wood.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: You're, we talked about this on Thursday's pod.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_01]: You're back into twenty twenty four.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_01]: Tighten depth chart territory, which is Troutman Lucas Crowle, Nate Adkins and okay, you have Caleb Loner.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: You can't rely on Loner because he's to an experience.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: Nate Adkins to an experience.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: Lucas Crowle to an experience.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: And Adam Troutman is the definition
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: the definition of a jag, just another guy.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: You can find ten of those guys walking on the street right now.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: You don't need him, but Sean Peyton loves him.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the argument for signing Noah fan is you don't have really anyone underneath him and maybe he got better in Seattle a couple years there, even though he did it.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: So the only argument for signing Noah fan, bringing him back to Denver, even though it's not what the Brock was typically do is because Adam Trottman's not good in the second role and if in-game goes down, then you're screwed.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well...
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Broncos and we're on this podcast going to be optimistic and say that Imver will not get injured.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: He will play a full season in Denver and they don't have to rely too much on the tight end too to the point where they have to go out and sign someone.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: I personally don't want the development impeded of Caleb Loaner.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: I do like what he brings to the table.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he can be a poor man's Jimmy Graham, a poor man's Antonio Gates, a red zone weapon for both because a previous comment was right.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's no such thing as too many weapons for your franchise quarterback.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: The argument, though, on my side is, is no a fan of a weapon.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: Can he be classified as such?
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Or is he just another guy?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: Is he just another body?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Is he even an upgrade on Adam Troutman?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: I would leave it as is if it was up to me.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Thompson saying I expect fans end up in Miami.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the teams that need any sort of warm able bodies for their quarterbacks will give no a fan of call and Scott brought up a good point before we started that a lot of Broncos fans have blinders on thinking that they can get no a fan back for a song.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_01]: for peanuts for nothing.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_01]: He will have other offers.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: Other teams will come calling.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: And if the Broncos wants to bring him back, which I think it might be unlikely, it's not going to be for the veterans minimum more than likely.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be for a million dollars.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: If another team wants him though, God bless.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: Go out and hopefully rip through words of that first round draft pedigree.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_01]: David Maccharath, a pop-up bear, five-dollar super.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, David, for chiming in.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: As you always want to do, good evening, Brock was country two days until training camp Hashtag, thirteen and four plus plus plus, crazy that we're on the eve almost of training camp.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's finally here.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: The rookies have reported the veterans will be filing into the building.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's excited.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: ear two of Beau Nix, ear three of Sean Payton, the Broncos have playoff expectations, not just hopes.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have stuff to talk about, not just PFF aggregation, can't wait David.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for your support as always.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Davis, four nine to nine, super.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Michael, as well for chiming in with us on this Sunday evening.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: Everywhere you look, the Broncos have talent, Baron Huff, Greenlaw, Allen, Casabinito, Nick's JK Harvey, Sutton, Ingraham, I'm so pumped for twenty twenty five.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: And we know this Michael, I know it's sound like I'm beating a dead horse.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: We know this, Brock has country knows this.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_01]: But if you ask the casual NFL fan or even the casual NFL reporter, they wouldn't be able to name half of those players that you just did.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_01]: But we do, we know that the roster top to bottom is stacked.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: Such to the extent, I mentioned aggregation.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: I wrote up a bleacher report story yesterday or the other day about one move every team should make.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: And the one move for the Broncos they listed was, oh, they should add a receiver, I guess, because they did everything else correctly.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: Everything else is pretty much filled out.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: The roster from top to bottom is pretty cut and pace set and forget for week one.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: So if that's where we're all right now, where a national outlet can say the one thing the Broncos should do is maybe
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: add a little more experience of the receiver room pick up a wide receiver three wide receiver four that means Michael and everyone else in Brocos country this team is ready to go right now if Tennessee was the opponent in that game was tomorrow the Brocos would have their fifty three they would go on on the field and it would win that football game they are going to be elite this season not a hot take just reality thank you Michael I see Phil in the chat
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: We will, I see Phil, a good evening's act.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: I read that AT Perry will start on the PUP list.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: What is his problem?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: What was it?
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: Was it an ankle or knee?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was a nagging injury that he had last season, which is why Phil we never saw him.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: He was a knee.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that Sean Peyton said that he's going to miss about a week maybe of training camp, but not to be concerned with him or Devonne Valey who didn't participate in voluntary or mandatory camp.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: So AT Perry Phil thinking back on it, he has a minor lower body injury that Sean Peyton knew about.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's talked about, they've expected him to be sideline with for a little bit, but he'll come off the PDP list and I expect him to participate in training camp and the preseason.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: But I think we're going to transition really quickly.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: We've got to handle some business.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, summer is here.

- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Check it out guys.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now back to the chat.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: Eric Flynn, ten dollar super.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Eric, tuning in with us, supporting the show on the doorstep of training camp on this Sunday, July, twentieth.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's off topic, but I think we are going to have three double digit set players, Zach Allen, Nick Benito and Jonah Ellis, putting a damper on resigning Benito.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's a good problem to have there.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Number one is you don't want to really be boxed into a corner of having to pay one guy.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, everyone wants, and maybe you don't Eric, I'm speaking in a generality, but everyone wants the Broncos to be like the Eagles and how they've operated, how they've governed under how he rosemen.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: What the Eagles have done is they don't overpay players or pay them to late.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: They draft early that way they can let the veteran overpay guys walk and not be boxed into a corner.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: This would be a good problem to have in my opinion.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you drafted Jonah Ellis.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you drafted a few Robinson.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why you have Donnery tell him and you brought him back and you're putting him into a position where he could get legitimate steps.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: I still think when it's all said and done, they'll maybe hammer out something around midseason.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think Zach Allen is the top priority on defense, Portland, Sutton on offense.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: Why they haven't come into a deal yet?
- 13:35[SPEAKER_01]: I can't answer that.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: But Benito would fall third in that pecking order and they want to see this is my speculation and this is how I would feel if I was George Baton.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: They want to see if Nick Benito can do it again, at least by midseason or so.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: They want to see if it wasn't a flash on the pan.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't a fluke, it wasn't a one year wonder if he does it again.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: then they'll come to the table.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: But if it's a case where Jonah Ellis is not performing his expectations and Q Robinson, and they have all these past rosers, Jonathan Cooper as well, they don't have to pay Veneto.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Some other team could give about a hundred million dollar contract and take that gamble.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good situation to be in.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Thompson, Fortnite and I'm super, thank you so much, Mike, hope you're doing well this Sunday.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're the only Broncos podcast I can watch start to finish to be complimented.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: We appreciate that.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtaggo Broncos, Hashtag MHA, Hashtag Super Bowl or Boss.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta have that pat bowling mentality, Mike.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you seriously.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's it's a big compliment.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: We don't take that lightly.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_01]: And we try not to spray my shoulder, patting ourselves on the back, but we try to be interactive.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: We try to give you guys something new.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Always be there.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: Always be streaming and just hooking Broncos football and keeping it honest.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we happy that you're liking the product.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor Christensen, dollar nine to nine super.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Taylor.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's at only bring no a fan on the cheap and backup.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_01]: Even if he's cheap though, so you're bringing him on Taylor and I don't immediately disprove this.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: I could get on board if I can, we can strongman this argument.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: You bring no a fan on for let's say veteran's minimum.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: Is he competing for the third tight end spot?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: Is he competing with Caleb Loner or is he competing for number two with Adam Troutman?
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: If it's competing with number two, is he going to do what Adam Troutman could do, which is run blocking, is he going to do that better than Troutman would?
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to end up in the doghouse like he did the previous coaching staff, because we know Troutman's a Sean Peyton guy.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to know that if we're going to upend the flow of the tight end room right now, which is no offense, excuse me, if it's Evan Ingraham and then everyone else,
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: I want to do it for someone that's a no doubt upgrade, unquestionably.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that at this stage of his career, or ever, that no event was an upgrade in the tight end room.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: So it has to be Taylor.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say this.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: If they want to bring him back, number one, deal breaker, it has to be cheap.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: It might not be, but if that has to be a starter here, it's got to be near the veteran minimum, prove it deal in incentives.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a comment from
- 16:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, proud Zeno, you'll thank you so much, proud.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_01]: Five dollar super, finally caught you live, excited to see what our rookies bring to the table, including our seventh round basketball, tight end, campus only days away, hashtag MHH for life.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, Zeno, you'll that you're gonna see a lot from loner as much as we like what he could do, he's so raw.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: And tight end, there's a few positions coming out of college that are
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: hard to transition to the NFL.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_01]: Titan might be the toughest one.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: It takes players a year sometimes to get their groove going from college to the pros.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if the fifty three is in loners future or if he's more of a practice squad, stash and hope no one plugs them away kind of guy.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: That being said though, it's hard not to like from a physical standpoint and on paper hypothetical standpoint six foot seven basketball background every pass he caught last season was a touchdown he even caught a two point conversion.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: A lot's alike there, but he's just so raw and so green and so much yet to mold that it's hard to make any sort of definitive projection for Caleb loner.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: right now anyway in here one.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: What else is that I think we're caught up.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: Quincy says he'll just ask appreciate that Quincy tuning in with us.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_01]: Cherry says, hey Zach, let's go Broncos.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go Broncos indeed.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Jody say maybe Zach Allen follows where VJ goes.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's interesting, Jody.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that he's waiting for VJ to get his payday.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's no guarantee that VJ is going to leave the Broncos.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: No guarantee that VJ is going to get a coaching job.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: If I were Zach Allen, I would highly advise him or his agent not to follow DJ's coat tails, but it's a matter of time.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: He's your lynchpin in the front seven on defense.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: We talk about Nick, but you know, in the front seven, we talk about Pat's or tan in the back end, Zach Allen does so much of the dirty work.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: He makes so many things happen.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's the energizer of bunny on that defensive line.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he is so integral to what Vance Joseph wants to do should be the other way around.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: If I was DJ, I would be campaigning the Broncos to get Zach Allen signed because Zach Allen makes VGA look like a much better coach than he is at times.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Shiloh says appreciate you finishing the dog day strong Zach.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm in it to win it guys.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: This isn't my first rodeo Scotts for a rodeo or Chats.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: He'll be back tomorrow and we're just taking away until the start of training camp.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: We try to be there for you every day during the six week break.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's hell every single year.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_01]: This one happened to feel a little longer, a little slower, a little more painstaking because we're also excited for the Broncos this season, but we're almost there.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: The lights at the end of the tunnel and we can see it.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, speaking of VJ, I'll take this from Rodney here.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: Do you guys think this is VJ's last year as a Bronco?
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: Probably.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought that going into this offseason, considering that the year the Broncos defense had, he has some head coaching interviews Rodney.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: He spoke to the Jets.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: He spoke to the Raiders.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I would only want him to leave for a head coaching job because the Broncos would get to third round picks.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: compensatory draft fix.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: I would want that for Denver.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, Vijay, maybe he has earned as hard as I'd been on him and a lot of it correctly.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe he has earned another bite at the head coaching apple.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he has matured and maybe he will be a better head coach in his second go around.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: So Rodney is long as the Broncos defense doesn't fall off a cliff.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: If there anywhere near as impactful and game changing as they were in twenty twenty four he'll get more interviews and I think the coaching cycle is going to take back to the defensive side and he'll get a head coaching job.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I would wager yeah as of right now.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: It'll be his last year in Denver.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Thompson again, dollar ninety nine super.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Mike.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Sworn I got.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: I still see Broncos fans ask for Albert, Albert, Oklahoma back.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's a mouthful that Chad and I can both pronounce and spell with total dexterity, because we've done it so many times.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's another player though, and I'm kind of guilty of this as well.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_01]: When the Brock was moved on, I thought he was going to go on to be better than he was, kind of like a Noah fan.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're kind of like these other titans in Brock was canon.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: But Oca-Wilbodom didn't do much with his time in Philadelphia, and it proved correct that the Brock was more right to move on.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I understand that, and we all pine for what could have been.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I still see Brock was fan saying, what could have been what drew luck, for example.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_01]: Scott saying, Albrado has one target in NFL game.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: The last CC is that right there pretty much is the bow on my point about Albrado.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_01]: It's all the potential, but potential's great, but it's what have you done for me lately?
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get it on the field.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see something transpire.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: Film a go-offland.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think Christian Williams makes the fifty-thier, will he'll be on the practice squad?
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to be a practice squad guy.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: Phil, I just, I don't see where he fits in.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: I want to, if I can just do it one second.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to pull up the depth chart to see where everyone stacks.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I, what can give him the edge up fill is they're very weak in the interior or defensive line.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I stream your talking about as a defensive lineman, Christian Williams.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have much behind DJ Jones and they drafted saving on Jones, but Henningson, Rosarique, can't rely on those guys.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot like the Titan room.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: You have the starter and then really just everything else underneath that.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe with a big impactful preseason, Williams can make a push for the fifty-three.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: I just think the Broncos are going to take the same approach as Titan where the incumbents get one more shot.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: to prove their worth, then maybe they'll make a change mid-season or so, or make some moves after week one or so.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: They want to give the incumbents one more shot to prove they can do something, and then they'll upgrade if necessary.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: So right now I think Phil Williams will be on the practice what?
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: Camden, it's one dollar super.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Camden.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: That means so much, and it's so helpful on, like we said, the dog days of training camp, the dog days of the offseason, which are about to end.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, Camden, hope you're doing well.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, Brock was country, while the idea of fant as a backup is interesting.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like the idea of him taking snaps away from Ingram, plus troutman is a better blocker than fant.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think he'll win a battle as tight into.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of my point as well.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think no effect would be signed to taking any snaps away from Ingram.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Ingram is the guy.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's not just a tight end, Camden.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's the Joker.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's the jack of all trades.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's everything to Sean Payton.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be moved around the formation and used quite a bit.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: So he's locked into those snaps.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: They spent a lot of money on him and they're going to get return on investment.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_01]: It would be, I would assume for a tight end too, but as you said, as I talked about, Traumann take to say what you want about him, he's a good run blocker.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: No offense is not as good of a run blocker.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: He's a better pass catcher, but you don't need that because you have an in-group.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: So again, if you want to bring Fant back, it has to be for near veteran's minimum.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you're going to be able to do that with other teams negotiating with him.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: And it has to be for Titan two, it has to be for Troutman's job, because I don't want him taking away snaps from the loners of the world.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: Even the game, the Lucas crawls of the world, the Nate Adkins, because we don't know what their ceiling is.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: They're still developing.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_01]: We know what no offense ceiling is.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: We know Adam Troutman's ceiling is.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: So it have to be for tight end, too.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I just don't think with Sean Payton's proclivity for Adam Troutman and his run blocking prowess that fat could unseat him.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: And at that point, he's competing for tight end three, taking steps away from younger players.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's not a good idea.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: So that's why I'm leading on the side, camping of not bringing back no effect and going into battle with the younger guys and who you have on the roster right now.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you again though, seriously.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: Shiloh, thank you so much, two dollar super, not playing special teams, loners need snaps.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: It's a good point too.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Payton talks about the kicking game.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: He mentions that, that phrase a lot.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: He mentions players playing two ways on defense or offense and special teams.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's an old school coach.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to earn your way, you want to, you know, get snaps.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: You want to rise up the debt chart.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: You got to put the hard work in on special teams.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: You got to put your head down and make some tackles out there.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know that fans going to do that.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't historically in this career.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that hit as a veteran now coming back to Denver.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: Let's say he would want to play special teams.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: It probably be beneath him.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: He'd want to get snaps and offense.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: So the loners hungry or if he wants to play specials and he wants to
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe sit on the practice water, sit at Titan IV, Titan III.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather have Caleb Loaner learning under the learning tree of Evan Ingram and company that fit coming in and taking that opportunity away.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's the only reason why I shy away.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't draft Ingram, they didn't draft Loaner or I'm silently Ingram and draft Loaner.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'd say sure, bring back no a fan.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_01]: I can't stand trauma in a Titan IV, but it's not reality any longer, fortunately.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see what we got for chat.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: George saying great podzac, Denver, Brock was for life, emigrate for life, hit the pod, hit the thumbs up guys.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much, George.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Very important as always.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's a great reminder.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: Hit the thumbs up when you see this right now.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: We're later when you're listening, hit the thumbs up on YouTube or any platform.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: Really helps the algorithm really helps us reach more of Brock's country just like you.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, let's see what else we got here.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: What do we have?
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty five minutes.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'll keep it to about.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: Another ten fifteen or so slower evening.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to talk about no offense.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't really have much other news for you other than that.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: We know that the Broncos draft class for anyone who missed it over the weekend.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Saturday Barrens under contract.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: RJ Harvey is now under contract.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos draft class is now signed sealed and delivered for training camp which starts this week.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's basically the last tip of the news we got and we're expecting.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: more in the next few days.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see anything else.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know this guy if we able to do a poll in the chat?
- 26:03[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't know.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, we're not sure about that.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Michael, we'll have to experiment.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: Stream your constantly changing and tinkering around with its operation.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: So if we can do a poll, let us know what the poll I didn't scroll up enough.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know what the poll would be about.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm interested now as well.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, this is this is just a fun question.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take because we can't really do these things.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is the good thing.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is like the last Sunday.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll have a pot where it's like pretty slow and up in the air.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll do this now.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: Ronny's asking score predictions week one against the Titans.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I mentioned this on Thursday, kind of offhand about Cam Ward.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll say it again.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't mean any arrogance in this comment.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I hope I don't jinx the Broncos.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'll knock what does I always do?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: This should be not just a win for Brock for the Broncos, but an easy victory for Denver.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking about a rookie quarterback coming into your home turf.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: One of the most difficult places to play at elevation very loud, a hostile defense, hostile crowd.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason why the Broncos shouldn't win this game going away.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about shutout, but it is no reason why they can't win.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_01]: Thirty-one ten, thirty-four, thirteen, something like that.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: This game should not be competitive.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: disclaimer, nothing against Cam War, not knocking him.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think it'd be a good pro.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if he faced the Broncos in December, the game would go differently, but for your first NFL start against that defense, with their ears pinned back, with the Broncos offense firing on false all cylinders at home, that game should be a blowout Rodney.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, three one, ten.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: That was the first inning came to mind.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: That's my score prediction for a week one against the Titans.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: Zach Phillips and I love this comment because I get to read the correct way of spelling Zach here.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Smart man Zach Phillips Zach can't wait to meet you guys for the meet and greet.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm stoked for that game.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously we're excited for training camp week one in the regular season, but in the tucked away in the back of my head is the meet and greet this year.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: Middle of the season October Russell Wilson or Jackson Dart or James Winston who ever starting for the Giants that week facing Denver.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: Another matchup kind of like the Titans where the Bronco should win.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: pretty easily.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: I get to shake all your guys' hands, you know, watch, Brock is football with you, talk football.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be so exciting, so fun, and I can't wait to see you out there, Zack, and each and every one of you, McKayla, it's going to be, I think, no BS.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be the best meat ingredient, and I've told that to Chad off camera.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, Mike Thompson saying, and I guess, yeah, guys, get your score predictions, and what do you think we want to guess the Titans?
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: Mike says,
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: Denver, thirty seven, thirteen and week one.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm talking about.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: Scames should not be easy.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take a win.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: When is the win as a win?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Flucy things could happen.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know that.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: But if the Brock was win this game, ten nine, for example, and there's no bad weather.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: There might be something wrong.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: They should win this game.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_01]: They got to get the season off on the right foot on a momentous path.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: They shumped and talked about not starting slow.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_01]: They don't have tough opponents like last year.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_01]: They have give me opponents.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee and Indy.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: That should be two and oh and a convincing two and oh with that.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: You have to kind of shove the inferior
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: teams in a locker, so to speak, and prove to the NFL that you're a superior, you're alpha, you're elite, and you're here, and not messing around.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I want to see in week one.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: So it better be something like thirty seven thirteen.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: Ronnie says twenty six sixteen Denver.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I would hope Rodney in this case, the score is closer than the game would appear that it was like twenty six nothing in the fourth quarter, and it was garbage time.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: That would be a situation though, where it's a little too close for comfort.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: I get it, you know, anything can happen.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: The Brockers don't have NFL film on cam board.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: It could be surprising.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: But one is going to have an off day, whatever, things to happen.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: But there's no excuse.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: Not to have a blowout.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: I guess a rookie quarterback, the worst team in the NFL coming into your stadium, a playoff team with maybe divisional aspirations, you got to beat the teams who're supposed to beat.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_01]: And Tennessee is the opinion me of that.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_01]: Phil here says, twenty eight seven, MHH podcast.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, again, I would settle for that.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's pretty simple.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's through touchdown victory.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: I would settle for that.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's got to be something convincing.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: No reason why Cam Ward and who's even the running back in Tennessee is still Tony Pollard.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason why they should be able to put up points on this Denver defense.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's no reason why the Broncos should not be able to, the Broncos offense, not be able to score on Tennessee's defense and checks notes.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: Who do they got?
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: Not a whole lot of star power there.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty eight sevens acceptable.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: What time is the game week one want Rodney wants to know that would be I think it's uh two oh five mountain time so four oh five Eastern Michael David saying forty four to three Denver for the score prediction that's a little extreme because that's um they're going to get there so let's be honest you know it's week one the brockers could be rusty every team is rusty in week one and the Tennessee could score touchdown and garbage time but it's going to be a blowout I'm confident saying that
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Scott says Tony Pollard with a four year old Calvin Ridley as a number one Ridley will quit by halftime.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what I'm talking about.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: Who are you fearful of playing Tennessee?
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: Things could change by the end of the year.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: Tennessee could blossom into a good team.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: I definitely don't see it and we go on.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: We got string.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: I say I'm concerned about no cycle depth.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think we have a hole in the middle on runs.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: That would be my answer string.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you were around a few minutes ago.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I talked about it was bleach report.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: They named one move every NFL team should make before the season.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: And they said, add a receiver.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think it would be defensive line depth because you're right.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Aside from DJ Jones, save you on Jones.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're having a rely on the likes of the Henning sin and who's a Riqueh.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: Those aren't established guys by any means.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: You need big
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: Big boys, run stuffers, cloggers in the middle, you know, all Chester McLaughton, for anyone who remembers him back in the day, three hundred and fifty pound, four hundred pound guys, just stop the run.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I agree with you.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe in training camp, they'll see the deficiency there and they'll rectify it with some veteran cuts.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's see what else we got in the, what do we have?
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thirty-two minutes.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be on for about eight or ten more.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, Scott probably wants to get out of here on this Sunday night.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, Germans stay away on Earth.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: We lose the Tennessee.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I will say that anything could happen in the NFL anything.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: I would not be surprised any given Sunday.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: There was a whole movie made about it.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: But let's be realistic.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: Recorded back week one.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're seemingly NFL versus a playoff team in Denver at elevation.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: This game should be over by halftime.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: Really, it should.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, Mike, saying our first three games, the C game, no respect.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: That will matter.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: Mike, if the Broncos start off as they should and they start accumulating wins and becoming the superpower we think they could be, they'll be flex and networks will show them some respect.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not too worried about that.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: Todd saying, if the Broncos start the year, three and two, it will be a great season.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: The key, at least in the first quarter, I want to break it down by quarters of the season.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: The first quarter is starting off hot and winning the games were supposed to win, and that would mean two and a, at minimum.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: I will not accept anything less than two and a, tightens and cults really in which one and two, those are layups, those are gimmies.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: The Procos should be thanking the schedule makers.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: because after the first quarter it gets an exceedingly difficult.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the bangles, you've got the eagles, you've got the chargers, you've got divisional games.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be easy.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: So you're right.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: The bare minimum, if they want to be where we think they should be at, in terms of competing for the West, three and two at minimum.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: Nick saying, at Indy is no gimme.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I disagree.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: What are they going to run out there?
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Richardson with one shoulder.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: The cold sea fence lowies be competitive for the most part, but I don't have any inspiration in Jonathan Taylor and the rest of that offense.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: I get what happened last year, but the Broncos have a film on them now, and that game was a lot closer that it should have been.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just call it like it is.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: My saying it's going to be eighty nothing, but the Broncos will be favored for that game in week two, and the Broncos should win that game in week two.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: I see Daniel Jones being the starter for the cults.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: If they want to run him out there, great.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think they want to try to maximize Anthony Richardson and see if he's on a total lemon, if they can get something out of him.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: And if not, they do have DJ, but as we saw in New York, you rattle DJ, if you get even a pinky near him in the pocket, he will crumble, he will make a mistake, he will fumble, he'll throw a pick, it's easy.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what the Broncos have to keep him on.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I'm saying, it's not going to be a ninety nothing kind of game.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: But this should be again, the Broncos win, for all I'm saying.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: And if they lose, I'll let you grow, but I will be as surprised as you guys have ever seen me on this podcast.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Michael Sanger is that if Taylor doesn't drop the ball at the goal line, we lose that game and also the playoffs.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he did.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, but he don't made a great play to in that game.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they were really caught off guard by Richardson, his throwing ability.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think they were waiting for him to run.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, again, anything can happen.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: I need to give him some day.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sleeping.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_01]: I already admitted that it's not going to be some comical blowout.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: But Michael, can you look at me and say the broccoli shouldn't be favored for that game?
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: And if you compared the rosters on paper, would you look at me and say the broccoli shouldn't win that game?
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Shouldn't.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: They should.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they will.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully I'm right.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: Just for the broccoli, I say.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Todd's here.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not going to get to.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see if I missed anything else in terms of relevant stuff about today.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to get too bogged down in the schedule talk, but through into allows us to lose to the Eagles and bangles if we win those games as well.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: We are a dangerous team.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: I understand what you're saying, Todd, but I don't want to go with the mentality of, oh, we have a cushion now where we can lose to the better team is the elite of the NFL because we won against the
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: The worst teams.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: No, I want to see the Brock was go toe to toe with Philadelphia.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if the one that game I've been saying it's a barometer type game for Denver, but I want to see them be competitive and there's no reason why if they're not firing at all cylinders the Brock was can't beat any team in the NFL
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: They should have beaten the Bengals.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, let's not forget, they should have won that game.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: Bounix and did plenty.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: Two of the best touchdown throws you'll ever see if the defense just had any sort of metal.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: Sean Peyton went for two.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: They wouldn't won that game.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_01]: So they went toe to toe and they proved they can hang.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see that with Philly.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see them upset the good teams.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to see them just beat on the bad teams.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: That's what the Broncos have to
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Take a step into the next tier, and we talk about it all the time, Chad and I. It's not just beating KC and beating the chargers and beating the raiders if you want to win the West.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's beating the Baltimore's and the Buffalo's and the Phillies and the Cincinnati's of the world.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I just think if the Broncos are playing their game, they're a brand, a hundred percent.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_01]: They could beat any team in the league.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_01]: The Bengals just signed Desmond Redder.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's funny.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, as long as they have Joe Burr, other good.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: Seems like Ritter wants to just latch on a, you know, for one team to another.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't blame him necessarily.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: Broke us if a better defense than the Eagles campaign says, I will see about that.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_01]: Again, these are, that's why I want to get bogged down too much because it's so tough to project what this year's team is going to look like based on what they did last year.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's night and freaking day.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see by the time their matchup comes around how each team looks.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just take one more look in the comments.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's about thirty eight.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're going to wind it down the second.

- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the chargers say what you want about them for charger every year.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: I I caught Herbert a lot, but they did sweep the Broncos in twenty twenty four.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be a thorn in the chiefs and the Broncos side.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders, they got better quarterback.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: They got better head coach.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be a thorn in the Broncos side.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's up in the air.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's not so, oh, let's just hand the trophy to Kansas City right now in week one because we're gonna win the West.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: This is gonna be a dog fight all season.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: And my hope, my dream is that Christmas night mashup, Broncos Chiefs in Kansas City will be for all the marbles in the AFC West.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's my hope.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I get, I get tangly just thinking about it.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we have any other comments?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Tito has beaten us in the last two meetings.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think that's going to change this year.
