- The Drama Drop: Hey guys, welcome back to the drama drop. We have a lot to get into today. We are talking about the shocking and tragic death of Hayden Panettiere and what we know so far, and the Alex Cooper and Dave Portnoy allegations that are resurfacing, the official death of the unwell drink line, and the absolutely bizarre Jessi Draper versus Katie Santt clothes stealing saga that somehow turned into a full blown internet takedown. There's a lot of drama, a lot of unanswered questions, and definitely some opinions to unpack. So Get ready because the drama drops now. Hey guys, unfortunately, we have some tragic news that I just have to talk about. We have to cover. where were you when you got the news that the untimely death of Hayden Panettiere happened? I was completely shocked. I was just sitting in my media room. It's a Sunday. I'm lounging, you know, I'm just preparing for the week ahead. And I I do have the TMZ and the people app and I turn on notifications because now, you know, like I can't miss things that are going on. But the TMZ notification banner dropped on my phone and I just see hate Hayden Panettiere died. I was absolutely floored. Jaw was dropped. I sent it to my friends. It was like so early that people were. Like, are we sure? Is this actually a thing? Nobody else has reported it or anything like that. So that was absolutely shocking. Now, I'll be honest, I haven't really kept up with Hayden Paneteer and everything that's been going on in her life. I mean, trust me, like she was definitely a staple in my childhood growing up. You know, she was in all of those movies that we all know and love. You know, Ice Princess, Remember the Titans, Tiger Cruise, the Disney movie, and then of course. Bring it on. All or nothing, I'm pretty sure was the one that she was in. I love you, Beth Cooper. You know, she was just in a really just like a staple for us millennials, us, you know, now we're grown women, but young kids, teenagers, she was just in all of those fun movies. And but you know, as we got older, obviously she hasn't at least she wasn't doing things that I was really watching. I know she was in heroes. She was in Nashville. She was in the movie Scream, which obviously I am a huge horror movie fan, so did see her in that. But I just haven't really kept up with her and her life. so I'm learning so much more now than you know what I had known previously, which I feel like is actually very unfortunate and I feel like very telling with how Hollywood maybe or just people in general. you know, it's one of those things where it's like, you weren't paying attention then, but you're paying attention now. And and that's I don't know what that really says about people or just how we perceive with people going through hard things or whatever. But I just didn't really know that she was struggling. I didn't know that she was going through a really tough time. I did know that she had lost her brother. I think it was in 2023, I want to say. and that was a super untimely death for him. You know, his was very sudden, very unexpected. You know, he had a heart condition that they didn't know about. So that one was just completely out of left field, and she's just been going through so much. So that was pretty much that all I really had known about her with her personal life. You know, I didn't really know which, and I'll get more into, but It's just interesting because, you know, as all of the story unfolds, everybody, you know, is making all their posts and clips of podcasts that she was on resurfacing and, you know, her being very open about all the struggles that she has been having and what she's gone through physically, emotionally. And, you know, at the time, it's just kind of like it wasn't really or I mean, at least it never crossed my desk, is what I'm trying to say. It's like people will be open, honest, vulnerable about struggles, but then it doesn't really, I feel like, shine too much of a light on it until something that you can't reverse happens. And that's where I really think it's very sad. You know, it's like we want people to be open. We want people to be vulnerable. We want people to share their struggles and, you know, get help, seek help. They have all the resources, whatever. But it's just like it's not, I feel as As much as it's talked about, it's also not talked about. Does that even make sense? Cause it's again, like I said, I had no idea that Hayden Panettier was going through as much as she was. And she was talking about it. She was very open about it. She had a book. She was on Jay Shetty. She was on, you know, all these other platforms speaking and being open and honest about everything that she's going through. Yeah, I had no idea. So it's just kind of like interesting because, you know, now unfortunately she has passed and now I'm I'm learning all about this. Do you see what I'm saying? It's just kind of like something very unfortunate has to happen for it to really feel like shine a light on the situation. So kind of want to just back up a little bit as to like what I've learned. you know, up until this point, you know, I know that her body had been sent to the corner, like the doing the autopsy. Nothing official has really been determined, I feel like up until this point. And this is August nineteenth. So she passed away on a Sunday. So things are moving fairly quickly. But just based on the dispatcher audio, you know, with the police and ambulance coming to the scene, it just seems, you know, as if she suffered cardiac arrest, which would have been probably induced by a plethora of medications that she was taken. And I don't know what those are. Don't know, like nothing of that sort has been confirmed, but just, you know, kind of looking at it. For what it was that seems to be what probably has happened. but nothing has been like officially confirmed as the cause of death. So I'm not gonna say one way or another as to what that is. But yeah, I I just was completely, completely shocked. So she had been so let's back up even further to kind of how I feel like she got maybe to like this point. First of all, it's no surprise. Children in Hollywood, you know, they go through a lot. It's something that I'll never understand. You know, from our perspective, what we can really see, I mean, aside from up until the aftermath occurs, they live a glitz and glamorous life. You know, they have all the attention, they get all these opportunities, they get to do all the just the fun stuff. Everybody loves them, treated like royalty. But obviously, as we all know, as the years go on, we learn that there is such a dark side to Hollywood. There's just such a dark side to the limelight and the people that are involved in that circle. And it's super unfortunate. But so I'm sure that obviously has like a lot of what kind of led to this point. And then 2014, she was pregnant with her daughter. And from what she describes, is she had a very traumatic. Birth. She had a C-section. She had to get like seven blood transfusions, just really put her body through a huge physical toll, which obviously, you know, like that leads to emotional, mental. You're dealing with like a traumatic birth on top of postpartum depression. And she said that, you know, she's suffered really connecting with her daughter. It had nothing to do with not loving her daughter. But, you know, you hear people all the time. And I mean, I hear it's like, once you hold your baby for the first time, it's like you never could look back, like you cannot imagine, like the love you feel is so overwhelming. And, you know, she expressed that she felt a lot of guilt because that wasn't the feeling that she got once she had her daughter. You know, she had a lot of depression with that and she was just was going through so much mentally and then also too, just like trying to recover from the traumatic birth that she experienced and you know, very quickly she kind of had to cope one way or another. And unfortunately, alcohol kind of led to how she chose to cope. And one thing about Hayden, at least from what I've gathered, and I haven't read her memoir, but I definitely want to, which I need to order that. That just sparked my memory of what of things that I needed to do. But you know, she was just very open with knowing that This was not how she wanted to be for her daughter, which I think is commendable. You know, she's like, I want to be the best mom. I want to be the best version of myself. I unfortunately can't do that right now. I can't be the best mom that I can be. going through so much treatment, like trying to get all the help that she possibly can. her ex fiance, they pretty much made the decision that, you know, he is going to be the full time parent, full time custody. while she works through all of her, you know, issues. And I will say, like, I can only imagine how hard that is for her. But I do commend her in that because it's like, as much as you want to be there for your daughter, it's almost just and as confusing as it may be for your daughter, you know, she's growing up, she's like, Okay, well, why isn't mom always around? Or like, why do I only communicate her communicate with her or see her via FaceTimes? But that having those small, fond, really great memories of even if it's just little doses of what Hayden could do, like put on a mask and kind of just like fake it for a little bit for the sake of her daughter, for like for to her having those memories is way better than being in an environment seeing her mom struggle, be really sad, go through all the ups and downs. I is and it's much as you know, you would just love to have both parents involved, present, in the child's life. Like unfortunately, that's just not always how that happens. And that's just not always the case. So I feel like for Hayden to know that she was not well and she wanted better for her daughter and to kind of take herself out of the equation, like I don't think that's weak by any means. Cause I mean it was very clear like she has been struggling for some time. So it's not like she just shipped her daughter off and then just like was living the best life and without a care in the world and just, you know, doing whatever she wanted to do. she still was clearly struggling. but at least if she, you know, when she did have those interactions with her daughter, she could give her those those moments of, this is like a pleasant interaction. Like this is good. I think this that's great for her daughter to hold on to those memories. Like she wouldn't really have anything dark to reflect on. And Yeah, I think that's actually really important. And, you know, there's no perfect situation. Like there like, you know, you wish everything could be perfect, but that's just not how life is. So I think given the situation, I think she made the smart decision. So yeah, but it it is really unfortunate, you know, now that she if she ever get got would have gotten to a point where she could have been better and been more involved in her daughter's life, unfortunately that's no longer going to be the case. It's really Very sad, very heartbreaking. but like I said, thankfully, like her daughter will have moments that she can hold on to. And she wasn't necessarily just involved in all of the darkness that Hayden had to go through and suffer through. but so you know, she had the birth of her daughter that was super traumatic. And then we moved to February of 2023, and that's when her brother unfortunately passed away. And like I said, that one was so untimely. No one was expecting that. That was a heart condition that was undetected. And that pretty much, you know, she's was open that like it just rocked her world. It was her younger brother. And, you know, they had done some shows together, movies, like they've done work together. They both were in Tiger Cruise. And she just pretty much was never the same after that. So it's like, you know, you're getting hit with a tragedy of, you know, a traumatic birth, going through all that postpartum depression, then you start to lean on alcohol and all of that. You're already kind of spiraling, and that that's how you're coping, and you're trying to like figure out a way. And then 10 years later, almost, then your brother dies so unexpectedly. Like you weren't even expecting that type of call. And you kind of just put probably any progress that had been made, just Down the drain, you know, like, okay. Now we're back to kind of where we were and probably even worse because you know, it's like her brother it now is gone. And yeah, she just like really never recovered. And then, you know, now she was having this relationship with this guy named Brian Hickerson. It's an on and off relationship. And, you know, I feel like when One tragedy strikes or like a traumatic event strikes and you can't really ever get your footing again. And then more things keep happening. I feel like you just kind of get in this hamster wheel of you just keep kind of running into things, you know? And one could argue that, you know, maybe you just made terrible decisions or what or what. But no, it's just kind of like This hamster wheel of like, okay, here's one thing. You take twenty steps forward, then something happens, then you almost take 50 steps back. And it's just like you feel like you can just never get to a place of just kind of functioning normal. But I wanted to look more into this guy because like I don't really know much about him, but apparently, like they had a very on and off again relationship, and there was some domestic violence involved and just money issues, but they have been together for so like long on and off. And you know, it's almost one of those things where it's a trauma bonded relationship. And I don't know if he was doing any drugs or anything like that. But I can only imagine maybe like there was some sh I don't want to put that on him, but you know, in a shared environment when you're in a relationship and there's maybe domestic violence involved and just a lot of other issues that that was probably something that maybe they bonded with together. But I mean at the time of her death, she was with him and his brother actually found him or f found her. I'm sorry. But Brian, he wasn't like in the room and Zach walk in, they were staying at this apartment in South Carolina and he found her. And so What's interesting is there are reports saying that Brian didn't really seem like too emotional about, you know, when the cops arrived or the ambulance and they were trying to like resuscitate her and, you know, trying to do any life measuring, you know, saving precautions, whatever, get her to just wake up. It didn't hit him until, you know, they officially announced her as deceased. So I felt like that was very interesting. there was Narcan in the apartment, which people like I don't really know much about that, but there's been a lot of people saying that, like, regardless of anything, like you should always have that stocked, which that's something I wasn't aware of or privy to. But so there there's like speculation going on that maybe this was something that could have been routine, where it's like, she's just, you know, kind of out of it. Like she'll get back into like she'll come back, she'll Wake up and it everything will be fine. So and then when they announced, you know, she was pronounced deceased at two thirty-one to two thirty-two PM, that's when the emotions hit him. But yeah, so I don't know. I mean, the medical examiner, they did confirm that there was no sort of trauma or foul play to her body. So I don't, you know, there's of course people are going to speculate with Type of relationship that they have and the history that they have, you know, and even Hayden's mom had spoken out saying that, you know, she did not like him, that they had a terrible relationship and all of that. But, you know, I think that there's gonna be some just some more investigation going on. I mean, I learned this morning that the authorities showed up at his parents' house, I want to say. There was something along the lines of h just kind of checking him out and scoping him out even further. So I'm sure there'll be more to the story, more to their relationship, more to what was going on. but at the end of the day, it's just really sad that this was what happened. And, you know, she had so much more life to live. She was super talented. You know, she was gorgeous, like had such a contagious smile. And like I just remember watching all of her movies and just being like, my gosh, she she's so pretty and all that. And You know, I really do think it speaks volumes because there's just so many people in the industry that are making posts about her just being so just heartbroken about it, just just shattered at this news. And, you know, it's just really sad because again, it's just one of those things where it's like, there's literally nothing that anybody can do at this point. And, you know, she was very open about everything that she was going through. Like it was no secret that she was struggling. But it she just couldn't be saved, I guess, you know? And I think sometimes like that's just the sad part. You could have all the resources in the world. You could be as open and vulnerable, but you know, something like addiction or whatever, like on top of, you know, mentally struggling, I think unfortunately, sometimes that just wins. No matter how much help you want, how much help you've been trying to get, all the resources you have, all the support, Unfortunately that that just is what happens. But hopefully, you know, you know, she is no longer in pain and she can just rest and be at peace and her and her brother are reunited. And yeah, I hope that that's what's happening. And I will definitely have to honor her and, you know, watch some of her movies that I really, really enjoy because Yeah, she was definitely a staple for me growing up. So it's just it's really tragic. But you know, if there's anything else that transpires with this, I will definitely keep everybody updated. But yeah, I just had to talk about her, pay my respects to her, and just kind of talk about the fact that Hollywood is just so crazy. And I mean, I know this is just this isn't just Hollywood. This is just like people in general, like open and honest, or like you you can know somebody is struggling. And then you hear the news and then you're just like, my gosh, what? Even though it's like it was right there, but sometimes like Things just cannot be done. but moving on into less sad news, less tragic news, just more kind of like, my gosh, here we go. So it's really interesting. So these next two topics are about Alex Cooper, but I'm sure you guys have seen the circulation of Alex Cooper and Dave Portnoy that has been going around because Day Portnoy, his book, has come out. And I do have it. It is sitting on my desk. to read. I am so behind on my reading, you guys. Like I literally have five books that are in the queue, but on top of this and catching up on social media and all the reality TV, I'm like, I don't even have time to read. But I will say my husband, he'll be out of town next week. So hopefully I can kind of catch up on some reading. because you know I also do like to talk to him occasionally. So I try to find time for that as well. But in his book, he talks about, you know, we all know about the whole call her daddy scandal. And it was Alex and Sophia, and they were with Barstool. They were trying to break the chains, trying to break free. She was trying to get her own, you know, they wanted more money. Okay. We all know that that's how that goes. He talks about in the book how the girls were basically trying to plot like a sexual harassment, like a sexual allegation claim, sexual assault, whatever you want to call it. To be able to get out of their contract. And I find it funny because Alex, she was asked about this on CNBC's squawk box, you know, kind of being like, What do you have to say about that? And she's so good when it comes to PR. Like, she is so good at dodging those questions, like skirting around what we all want to know. You know, she's just really good at that. And Maybe that's just from her being the podcaster herself and trying to get people to answer questions and all of that. And she's just learned from the PR answers that she gets. But she gave us absolutely nothing. You know, she giggled and she was like, Listen, like Dave and I, like, we're good. Like it's no big deal. Like I'm pregnant right now. I'm just staying out of the drama. What a perfect response. Because once you throw in your pregnancy and that you're with child, you can't you can't keep beating that. You know, you can't argue that. You can't keep hounding on that. So, you know, it's like she gets that little pass with saying, Hey, I'm pregnant. I don't want any drama, but like we're good. But to me, if that wasn't true, she would say it wasn't true. And correct me if I'm wrong. Unless I am living in a different world, unless I've dreamt this, because I could very well have. But when all of like the whole breakup thing was going on between her and Sophia in the call her daddy you know, original podcasting duo. I felt like Sophia was very open and honest with kind of everything that transpired. Granted, her book is also coming out. So I'll be curious if there's some parallels. Because I mean, it's already written, unless they're gonna go back and do any sort of edits. But they're I'm pretty sure she had mentioned, you know, when they were trying to figure out how they could get out of bar stool, like how they can get out of their contract. I'm almost positive And emphasis and asterisk on almost, but I'm almost positive that she had mentioned that her and Alex did come up with the idea of like, okay, maybe we can kind of just like scheme a little bit and kind of plot and say this happened. And when I say this, like a sexual harassment or a sexual assault claim to be able to get out of the contract. And I know like there was some like hints, you know, because they hadn't dropped podcast episodes for a while. And then then when they did the way that they you know, it was very like Taylor Swift esque or Easter eggy type of thing, you know, like dropping a hint. Like the episode that they released when they hadn't dropped one in a long time was gonna be, or maybe it was labeled backwards help us. So it was almost like, my gosh, what's going on over there? What's happening with the girls? Or like whatever. I'm almost Positive, Sophia herself had admit that. If not, I'm getting this information from all the conspiracy theorists of people and like the downfall of Call Her Daddy at Barstool. So I could be making this up, but I don't think I am making it up. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter because that's what Dave Portnoy said happened. And I think it is actually true because one, I don't know. Why you would put that in the book when you also two are like releasing actual names. Granted, we would know who you're talking about because we're just not idiots. Like it was such a huge thing that was going on in social media and podcasting world. But I'm almost positive like when you are writing a book to really protect yourself, most of the time people do put like alias names and kind of little hints on sensu situations. So it's not, you know. You don't run the risk of getting sued or for defamation or anything like that. So to put names, you have to be very, very confident in the story that you're telling. And I mean, listen, whether you like the guy or not, I feel like Day Portnoy has never been a BSser. Like he always is a straight shooter. He tells it like it is. and he just literally doesn't care. So I just don't see why he would make something like that up. Also, it just really doesn't even matter. You know what I mean? It's like the deal is done. Like it's been done for years. Like Alex and Sophia have been separated with call her daddy for so long now. Like they're each doing their own things. Like it's been so many years. So it's not like he's talking about it to like stir up new drama. Because when this came out, I was like, yeah, didn't we all know this? Like, that's why I'm like, I could have sworn. Somebody somewhere in the atmosphere has already admitted this and like this was already a thing because people were just so like, whoa, what? And I'm like, yeah, like so. He's just like retelling the story. Like, I don't think he was saying it to like have it be a whole new backlash or just like an ambush to like take anybody down. He was just like explaining the story, and that was just one little part of the story. But I just thought Alex's response was funny because to me, and I don't know, but it's like I know. When you're kind of not answering the question, it's like then you really can't fully say you're answering it one way or another. But to me, when you're dodging the question, you basically are answering the question. Do you know what I mean? So it's like, she's like, hey, look, like I don't remember it that way. Like, we're good. Like it's fine. To me, it's basically like, yeah, I did do that or I did consider that. At the end of the day, they didn't do that. They didn't move forward with that. So it's just like. And we all know when that era of caller daddy was happening, it was so unhinged. Alex was so unhinged and she was doing crazy things. So like that seems plausible. Like the stuff that they were talking about in their episodes, that tracks of something that they would do. So if anything, like I would have respected it a whole lot more if she would have been like, Look, me and Dave, we've talked about this. We all know that I have grown, I have changed, and you know, obviously that is something. That Dave and I have talked about, we've worked through it was a really bad idea on my part, but didn't move forward with that, obviously. And yeah, I I don't know, like why not just admit it because truly what I don't know, it's just kind of like why not like own it, own it, you know what I mean? But whatever she gave the standard PR answer, but we already know. We already know. There's no way that we don't, right? but I'll be really curious, like I said, when Sophia's book comes out, if she mentions anything about that. because again, like I said, I'm pretty sure she was the one that's already admitted it. but I need to catch up on my books. my gosh, there's just so much. There's so much going on. I'm like, I need everybody to like take a hiatus from doing all the things because it's just too much. But another Alex Cooper news, Unwell. is officially no longer, well, I say officially once they stop, once they clear the shelves, basically. So it's like retailers are no longer going to be carrying unwell drinks until, you know, if they get rid of them on the shelves. I don't know if they're just gonna be putting on them on a huge mega sale or what, but they're not gonna be a thing anymore. And here's what I have to say about that. Why she ever decided to do a drink is beyond me. I don't know with like, you know, some of these celebrities, influencers, whatever. It's like, I get it. You know, you start to become business minded and you want to create things. You want to have your name tied to something. Like maybe it's something you're passionate about. But it's just like, when does too much become too much? You know what I mean? It's like, okay, now you're doing like you've branched out like to podcasting and now you have like your own network. Like that's amazing. But it's just like, one, a drink was so random and I know that there was a lot of discourse, like whenever this first was dropping, because people are like, why are you naming a drink unwell? Like that just doesn't sound appealing at all. Like, yeah, I'm gonna go after this unwell drink, you know. But I get it, you know, you're staying within your theme, your brand, whatever. But I besides the name, whatever. But that hits a very niche audience. You know, it's like, I know of the Unwell Network. I know that that's a whole caller daddy thing. That's like to Alex Cooper. Like for those of us who know, we know. But there's a whole population that has absolutely no idea. It's actually really funny because my stepdaughter, a while ago, actually maybe a year ago, she had a drink and it was the Unwell drink. And we brought it up. And we were like, like Alex Cooper's drink. And her mom was like, what? Who? So like literally had no idea that that had any sort of relation to podcasting. So it was just kind of got it more so for like the electrolytes, whatever. But I've also heard that it just doesn't taste that well. I've never tried it. I've never tried it, but people say like it was gross. I don't know. I can't make that claim. But the thing is, it's like I don't think I've ever seen anybody In the wild drinking it besides my stepdaughter. And she didn't purchase that. She wasn't getting it because, like, this is Alex's drink. Like, I love this drink so much. You know, she was just drinking it. But I haven't seen anybody in the wild be like, my gosh, I need to stock up on my unwell drinks or going to the store and like, I need to get my unwell drink. I'm really thirsty. I need to pick up unwell, whatever, yada, yada, yada, yada. But Anyways, whatever. It doesn't matter because it's no longer gonna be a thing, which is probably the best. But it's just kind of like, when does too much become too much? It's like you can only like you don't need to create everything. I know she has her hands and a lot of pot like she's really diving into the whole media, you know, production stuff like TV shows and she's really getting into all that. I'm sure, you know, cause Matt Kaplan adjacent, like that they are very much well versed into media and whatever all that entails. So Honestly, I feel like this is probably just the best for her. And there it just really wasn't needed, you know? And it's like she would have guests on her podcast and they have the unwell drink sitting right next to them. I don't think I've ever seen one person take a sip or even open it or even like touch it to like just to pretend that it's being used. I don't even think I saw her drink it. She had unwell network, or I keep saying unwell network. She had an unwell drink right next to her too. And like I would literally never see. Either party drink the drink. So, like I said, it's probably good that it's just not gonna be a thing. It was probably too much admin, too much of a waste of time, like too much money to like really, you know, think of logistics of getting all the stores stocked and like flavors and all of this. And the only time I ever saw it being advertised was from Alex herself or just like at Unwell events or on her podcast. Other than that, like I have not ever seen it at any anybody's cart. I mean, I've seen it on shelves, but that's about it. Like I haven't seen it, you know, like games, sports games or whatever, people drinking that. I just out at the pool, beach, whatever. Like I haven't seen anybody drinking it. So glad she's closing the chapter on that. Hopefully that there's not gonna be any more crazy adventures. I think, I think she's in the realm she needs to be, which is production, podcasts, media, all of that entertaining stuff. So we'll just leave it at that and we'll just pretend that the unwell that were let me start again. We'll just pretend that the unwell drink never happened. I won't tell anybody. You don't tell anybody. but okay moving on because I honestly really had to have my husband explain this next thing to me because I was so confused whenever this was Coming across my feed. Okay, so if you guys were confused as to why Jessi Draper deactivated her Instagram account, like her social media account, and then all of a sudden Macy Neely popped back up and was like, Okay, I'm actually gonna run her account because we have a job to do. But if you were confused by that, and then if you were also confused about why this podcast clip of Jessi Draper was resurfacing, talking about her downstairs surgery, I'm going to like I'm backtrack and explain it all because I was like, wait, why is this happening? So first and foremost, I did see the clip resurface and I didn't even I didn't realize like what year it was. It didn't hit me until after the fact. But I'm watching the clip of Jessi. She's on Kaitlyn Bristow's Off the Vine podcast. And you know, Jessi's very open about all the procedures and stuff that she's done. One of them is a downstairs procedure. Okay. And she's talking about it, she's talking about it, and she's talking about, like, yeah, you like nip and tuck and everything. It's like blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Basically, and then making a comparison as like the final result, comparing it to like her daughter. Super young. And so, yeah, that was very weird and very unsettling. And I was just kind of like, like that was gross. Like, why why would you make that comparison? Do I think there was malintention? No. Do I think she was trying to like Sexualize the situation? No. Like maybe she could have said like a Barbie or something, you know, just like brand new. Like I'm brand new. Whatever. The comparison was odd. Odd choice. Very poor taste of words. but she said it, okay, on a podcast, whatever. It's out there. This happened a year ago. And I'm just like, this is so bizarre that this is randomly resurfacing. Like people are just so bored out of nowhere. Like, how is this like a thing? She's already apologized about it then. Okay. She already had to deal with a lot of backlash about it then. Okay. But why this is resurfaced is a whole nother situation that I was not ready for. I'm like, what are we doing? What are we talking about? So I had to have my husband explain it to me. He's like, okay, listen. So I was not really privy to all of this. So I'm going to explain it and relay it to you the best way that I possibly can. and I hope I'm, you know, gonna relay this as accurately as possible as to what with the information that we know. Because nothing is like concrete, basically. Like nothing is like, this is for sure happened, like this, this, you know what I mean? Everything is pretty much because kind of hearsay, but like this is what the hearsay is. Okay. So there's this chick, right? Her name is Katie Santt. She's like this Utah micro influencer, whatever, like I guess well known in maybe like the Utah area. And so she's like a creator, whatever. And, you know, she has made claims that like her and Jessi have known each other. Maybe not like super well, but they know each other, like they have history, like maybe they've worked together. on situations like they've gone back and forth, whatever they're kinda, you know, like in the same influencer media world. Anyways, so there's this resale shop, like a coin Simon shop called Indie Clover. And from what I gather, it's like they have maybe booths that you can sell your stuff to to kinda like to resell it, whatever. I don't know. It's like how all of that works. I'm In my mind, I'm thinking like farmers market, but clothes at this indie clover or maybe accessories, maybe furniture. I don't really know exactly. But what I do know is that basically Katie reached out to Jessi, kind of being like, Hey, like, do you want to sell your clothes like at this indie clover booth? Like I'm gonna handle all of it, like whatever, yada, yada, yada. Somewhere along the lines. That Jessi was like, Yes, absolutely, please. Like that would be so lovely. I would absolutely appreciate that. Thank you so much. And they handled it with Jessi's assistant, Jalen. Somewhere along the lines, this is where it gets really confusing. Now there's stealing and theft allegations. I don't know really what's going on. Like, I don't know, like the clothes didn't make it to Indie Clover or what or why, but somewhere along the lines, it was just kind of like. Hey, this seems scammy. Like, I don't think you're telling the truth. Where are my clothes? Can I get my clothes back? And Jessie was having a hard time getting her clothes. And like there, some of the clothes were found in Katie's house and her car, and just saying, like, like I just hadn't got it through like the sorting yet. It hasn't been finished. Like, there's this whole process, and she's basically claiming her innocence. Like, I would not steal her clothes. Like I would never, like I dropped them off to Indy Clover and yada yada yada. And she's like claiming to Indy Clover, like pull the tapes, pull the footage, all of that, to prove it. But Indy Clover like hasn't done that yet. so I don't really, I don't really know. And she's just like claiming, she's like, I don't know why they're acting like I'm just like some girl that just stole her clothes. Like I would never. But it's just really weird because honestly, like I'm bringing this up because I just feel like it's just such an odd story. And I don't know, because both parties are just it's very odd. Like a f I'm like, okay, we're talking about clothes here. But then Jessi's assistant, Jalen, like, he's been posting about it. He was posting, talking about like the police report. Like he was at the police station, like making reports, like, okay, you're making content out of this. Are you trying to bring awareness or are you just trying to bring content to it? And then Katie being like, pull the tapes, pull the tapes, whatever, pull the footage. Like you would just think that, like, okay, so she must be telling the truth if she's so confident to show footage, but there's just been no further evidence going on. But it's just it's just really odd. And I feel like it's just been very blown up out of proportion. I feel like it's something that those two could have just like dissected. Another thing that I find very bizarre is like, why would some of her clothes still be at Katie's house or car? It's like you're gonna get rid of all of it. Like, and but at the same breath, you're saying, pull the tapes. Like, I'm walking into Indie Clover. So why would why were some in there and then some not? That is bizarre. but I just whatever the issue is, what I'm really The reason I'm just kind of bringing up the backstory is not because I find it like, whoa, this is a crazy drama story that's going on, of like the content of like the context of what it is. But I'm bringing this up and kind of painting the background picture as because as to why this video clip of Jessi Draper on Kristen Bristow or sorry, on Kaitlyn Bristow's podcast is resurfacing. Because Katie, now it just seems like a takedown of Jessi Draper. Okay, why are we bringing this up? Show the text, show the proof, show whatever you want to show that's in relation to this stealing theft allegation that is involved around Indie Clover. But you are going back over a year and pulling a very specific clip and trying to resurface it and trying to make it have more attention again. When it was already addressed a year ago and put to bed, put to rest, she Jessi, you know, apologized for it. She had to deal with that then. Now it just seems like you're just trying to take her down. You know what I mean? And that I feel like says more about you than it does about Jessi. Like whatever you are claiming, Jessi is saying, defend yourself all you want. Right. Like I am a huge proponent of people defending themselves. I actually can't stand when people say, like, why are you getting so defensive or like why this and that? Cause like when it's your name, when it's your integrity, when it's everything about you and like you know who you are, yeah, it gets irritating or whatever. So it's like you're gonna want to defend yourself. And I want you to please defend yourself. Show the proof, show the receipts, show whatever. You know, I can't stand when people are like, this shows nothing. Well, it probably does. But you trying to defend yourself, but you're pulling out something that has absolutely zero relevance to this situation. I need Katie to explain herself. Like, what does that clip? have to do with this situation that you're dealing with with Jessi and her assistant at all and about clothes and indie clover. Like it has nothing to do with that. Like you are discrediting yourself. You're making yourself look really weird and you're not doing yourself any favors. Like it kind of just makes you seem very bizarre. Because if you were cause see here's the thing, here's my next thing. If that was so important to you and you were like, people need to see the true colors of Jessi and they need to see this crazy thing that she did. Why were you still, you know, like you guys said that you were friends or you were working with her? Why would you want to work with her with Indy Clover? You know, why would you want to be like, hey, let me help you like set up with this resale shop? Like, but you think so terribly of her that you had to go find and dig up like this 15 second clip from a podcast a year ago. Explain that to me, because it has nothing to do with this situation that y'all are in now. I don't know if you just needed attention, you just wanted to get more followers. If that's the case. More power to you, like not the way I would do it, but it just doesn't prove your point with any anything. And I I just feel like it says more about you than it does Jessi. And whether I agree with what Jessi said or not, which I mean, again, like I said earlier, I found it very such a very bizarre comparison. it just I just feel like Katie, you discredit yourself whenever you're bringing up something totally irrelevant over a year ago. Jessi's already addressed it. into this situation that we're that you guys are currently dealing with that has nothing to do with that. Like, why? Why? You know what I mean? Like I can't stand, I can't stand that. Like that's just really just not it. Not it. So Katie, I need you to figure that out. If you have actual proof of anything else, please feel free to share that, show the footage or whatever. and I hope all of that works out for you. But I just needed to explain to you all, my audience, drama drop my Lovely listeners, why that video is resurfacing. Because when I saw it pop up on my feed, I had no idea as to why this was coming up out of nowhere right now. I was like, this is so bizarre. So there is a reason for that. It's very irrelevant to the actual to the clip. Has nothing to do with that. It's just some girl in Utah, to me, my opinion, trying to take Jessi Draper down. For what? I don't know. For followers, views, content, maybe. But it's just kind of weird, you know? but yeah, that's really all I wanted to go over and talk with you guys today. I'm going to obviously end the episode with Chic and Week of the Week. super exciting, Sheik, for the drama drop. Jamie Lynn Spears followed the drama drop. Okay. She followed the drama drop. Okay. Like my jaw dropped. I was freaking out. I posted it on my personal Instagram. Me and my husband, we were like, what? Because I will say, like, she had liked a couple of our stuff that, you know, I would post, and which is cool. I mean, we get so many cool people that end up on our page and I love it. It's so exciting to see the interactions that I get with people. But to get a follow, you know, like and I'm picky with my follows. Like my on my personal account, like I am picky with my follows. So like I get it. But to see Jamie Lynn Spears like follow, The drama drop organically, because like she's not in the realm of anything that we're talking about, you know? So she discovered it organically and she followed it organically. And I just have to give my chic to her because I love like that. Love Zoe 101 forever and ever. so yeah, I just had to had to shout that out. So thank you so much for the follow, Jamie Lynn Spears. again, if you want to get on the pod, let me know. You know where to find me. and then my week of the week is digging up. Old videos, text, tweets, whatever, just to take somebody down. I understand if it pertains to something specific of a situation that is going on currently or evidence to back something up that's going on currently, but just to dig something up and to just really put in the effort to find something and people scroll back years and years and years just to take somebody down, that is such weak behavior, especially because If so many years have gone by, or if it's something that somebody has already addressed, it's like they've learned from it. Give people grace because guaranteed, like, there's no way everybody is squeaky clean, like in all of the conversations and all of the years they've ever had, every single text, everything. So it's just weak behavior to dig things up just to take somebody down. And and I thank Katie Santt for that one. She helped me, because I was struggling with a week for sure. So that wraps up the topics for this week. some sad news and just some silly drama, but more importantly, just really wanted to, you know, shed light on Hayda Panettiere. And I hope everybody goes and watches a movie that she was in to honor her and celebrate her life and all of the work that she put in for her fans, even if it was at the sacrifice of herself. So yeah, I hope everybody has a great rest of the week and I will. Talk with you guys next week. I think we have a super fun guest coming on and I'm super excited to talk about that with you all. And don't forget, we have Let's Marry Harry reunion coming up August 26th. I can't wait to talk about that. Thanks for listening to the drama drop, you guys.
