- 0:00They're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 0:01Why not putting in one of the top three offensive players in
- 0:05the league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron Judge and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael

- 2:06www.worldwidesportsradio.com. It was an interesting,
- 2:14interesting weekend, ladies and gentlemen, and I've been dealing
- 2:17with really all weekend long sick.
- 2:20I had Vertigo during the show last week.
- 2:24I was very, very sick. I threw up.
- 2:26But throughout the weekend I couldn't concentrate.
- 2:29I had problems concentrating driving.
- 2:32I did a couple of events and I couldn't really concentrate at
- 2:36the event. So, and then I did, I, I, I did
- 2:39a party, it was a backyard party on Saturday.
- 2:42And I will say this, it was a fun party.
- 2:45I want to give a shout out to Jen.
- 2:47Jen Flood and her family was great.
- 2:50And Johnny, one of our writers, he actually was at the party,
- 2:53first time I ever met him in person.
- 2:55He's been on many, many times during the intern conversations
- 2:59that we've had as all the writers have been really
- 3:02interactive with me over the last couple of years.
- 3:04Johnny is 14 years old at the time when he started with us.
- 3:08He's been writing for us for the last 2 1/2 years.
- 3:11He's now a senior in high school.
- 3:14He's moving on to college next year.
- 3:15He's going to Saint John's. And it was the first time I met
- 3:18him. And he is a sensational writer.
- 3:20If you don't check him out or you haven't checked him out on
- 3:22our website, go to our website and check out all the different
- 3:24stories that he posts up. And at the tail end of the the
- 3:28the party, I play the final song of the night.
- 3:31And this idiot, yes, this idiot, because I was right.
- 3:35I'm set up right by this beautiful built in swimming
- 3:38pool. This idiot does a cannonball
- 3:42within like 2 feet from my DJ equipment and wets all my
- 3:46equipment. Absolutely wets every single one
- 3:51of my equipment from my speakers to my computer to my decks.
- 3:56He pissed me the F off. I tried to calm down because I
- 4:01wanted to choke this guy. I, I I really wanted to jump
- 4:04into the pool and drown the SOP. But I calm down.
- 4:08I relaxed and I still moved on. I got into my car as quick as I
- 4:13possibly can because if I didn't Jabba, I would have smashed a
- 4:17hammer on this guy's head. That's how mad I was.
- 4:20Because I was cleaning it. I was drying everything down.
- 4:23I was trying to blow into my turntables because when the
- 4:26water gets into the turntables, it can ruin the the mechanism
- 4:31that spins the turntables. So I was so furiated and I I'm
- 4:36not blaming Jen, I'm not blaming the family over there because
- 4:40they were sensational, was a great crowd of people.
- 4:42They enjoyed the music. I had a lot of fun.
- 4:44I I do it every single year. So their parties are
- 4:47sensational, but that idiots. I I probably would have been
- 4:52arrested if I really wanted to kill this guy.
- 4:55So I just walked out of the backyard and I said, you know
- 4:58what? It's not worth it.
- 4:58It's not worth it. But Jabba, how was your weekend?
- 5:01I'm sure it was a little bit better than mine it.
- 5:04Wasn't too bad, kind of chill really.
- 5:08There wasn't much going on. We got a finally, it's not 100
- 5:12and freaking 15°. It was I think 51 when I got up
- 5:16this morning. So back to the old mornings
- 5:20where your heat's on and probably about mid afternoon you
- 5:24got to turn the air on. So it's it's that time of year
- 5:27for us. But other than that, it was it
- 5:29was good. They Carter had his last kind of
- 5:32free weekend. So they're about to start
- 5:35getting after it. And then we got a lot of sports
- 5:40going on, so it's a great time of the year.
- 5:41I can't complain. It was a it was a fun filled
- 5:44weekend of a lot of different sports, so that was great.
- 5:47Yeah, well, you love volleyball out there in Nebraska.
- 5:50I'm not a volleyball fan. I'm not going to sit there and
- 5:52say, oh, I'm going to go watch beach volleyball or I want to go
- 5:55watch team volleyball. But I I'm not taking shots at
- 5:59Nebraska for their volleyball teams.
- 6:01They have a great volleyball team for women and and men's.
- 6:04They're one of the best. In the country.
- 6:06No, I'm sorry, women's, but whatever.
- 6:09Nevertheless, I, I'm not into the volleyball situation, so I'm
- 6:13not the person to talk about volleyball with, but I do watch
- 6:17the Olympic volleyball teams. I watch the men, I, I watch the
- 6:21women and I, I look forward to that every single four years.
- 6:25But nevertheless, I'm not that that kind of person.
- 6:28But I've had an interesting couple of days and I'm feeling a
- 6:32little bit better. I know a lot of people.
- 6:33I want to give a shout out to all the people that reached out
- 6:35to me and told me and and reached out to me and asked me
- 6:37how I was feeling from over the four or five days that I was
- 6:41very, very sick. And I want to give a shout out
- 6:43to every single person that that reached out and, and show me
- 6:46some love. So thank you to all the people
- 6:48out there asking how I was feeling.
- 6:50It wasn't very, very good for two or three of the days, but I
- 6:54got better as the weekend progressively move forward.
- 6:57And by Sunday I was feeling a lot better.
- 6:59For the last 48 hours, I've been fairly good.
- 7:02I've had no problems as far as my equilibrium.
- 7:05I I can see straight, but it was scary during the show on
- 7:10Wednesday, I was very, very sick.
- 7:12I was throwing up. I, I didn't feel in place to
- 7:16even doing a show. And I want to give a shout out
- 7:18to you guys because you guys kept telling me if you can't
- 7:21finish it, we'll finish it for you.
- 7:23And I, I do appreciate that. But the the show must go on and,
- 7:26and we have a great show lined up for everybody tonight.
- 7:30The Yankees lose 3 out of four against the Red Sox over the
- 7:34weekend. The New York Yankees went into a
- 7:37four-game series this weekend against the Red Sox, needing to
- 7:40show up and no show the first three games of the series,
- 7:44getting outscored 19 to 4. Despite being able to take
- 7:48Sunday's Game 7 to 2. The Yankees are now behind the
- 7:51Red Sox in the standings. Both Paul O'Neill and Michael
- 7:54Kay on the Yes broadcast of Saturdays 12/1 stink bomb
- 7:58blasted the team saying that the Yankees have completely fallen
- 8:02apart and it can't get any worse.
- 8:05After yet another boneheaded play by Yes No other than
- 8:11Anthony Volpe in in the field cost the Yankees in a tie game
- 8:16in in the 9th inning he was finally benched by the team but
- 8:20Aaron Boone says he is not sure if he will be there for long.
- 8:25Another major issue with the superstar is Aaron Judge still
- 8:30isn't playing in the field. With his return to the field on
- 8:35the still unclear, the Yankees try to avoid re injury.
- 8:39This has force Giancarlo Stanton to either play the field or be a
- 8:44pinch hitter, although he's one of the hottest hitters right now
- 8:48in baseball. Despite the trouble, the Yankees
- 8:51are still in the second wild card spot, half a game behind
- 8:56the Red Sox and half a game behind the Mariners and
- 8:58apparently have the easiest schedule in baseball for the
- 9:02rest of the way. It's so interesting when we get
- 9:04into the Yankee conversation. I know a lot of Yankee fans
- 9:06sitting here today are probably going to say, well, the Yankees
- 9:09are still in the playoffs, so we're not worried.
- 9:12The Yankees have a chance to make it and all they got to do
- 9:15is get in. That's what everybody talks
- 9:16about. Just get in, get into the show
- 9:19and it's quite There's a chance for anybody to win, as we've
- 9:22spoke about that many, many times.
- 9:24If you remember a couple of years ago who was in the World
- 9:26Series, the Texas Rangers, who shouldn't have been there, and
- 9:29the Arizona Diamondbacks. I remember that Arizona and
- 9:33Texas have not been back into the playoffs since then.
- 9:37Baseball, there's a possibility that you can make the playoffs
- 9:41one year and not make the playoffs the year after or the
- 9:43year after or the year after. Nevertheless, if you make the
- 9:47playoffs, you can get hot. You can get a hot hitter, you
- 9:50get hot pitching staff. A bullpen can get really, really
- 9:53hot and you can go on a big run, as we saw the New York Mets do
- 9:57last year. But the Yankees with really the
- 10:01injuries that they've been dealing with, the boneheaded
- 10:04calls when it comes to the bullpen as we we're going to be
- 10:08talking about that a little bit later in the show, the pitching
- 10:11staff and going back to Max Freed, he actually showed up
- 10:14this week. His his blisters on his fingers
- 10:17didn't really affect his pitching.
- 10:19He was probably the best pitcher for the Yankees throughout the
- 10:22weekend games, losing 1, nothing against the Boston Red Sox.
- 10:27The Red Sox really couldn't hit him, but they had to pull him in
- 10:30the 7th inning. The Yankees have not had
- 10:32consistency and they're not getting consistency at the
- 10:36plate. Anthony Volpe has been an
- 10:38abysmal. He's been absolutely putrid on
- 10:41the baseball field and again, going back to comparing and
- 10:44contrasting his talents as a defensive defensive player.
- 10:48This guy was a Gold Glove winner and now all of a sudden he's one
- 10:51of the worst defensive players in baseball.
- 10:54He's one of the worst defensive players at the shortstop
- 10:57position we've ever seen a Yankee play.
- 11:00Just think about it. This guy went from a Gold Glove
- 11:03winner to one of the worst shortstops in all of baseball,
- 11:07making the mistakes that he's made and a guy that hasn't had a
- 11:10pretty good bat. We were talking about his his
- 11:13talents as far as at the plate and and the power that he has at
- 11:16the plate. The man has not really hit
- 11:19enough home runs since he's come into the league.
- 11:21He's not hitting for average. He's one of the worst hitters in
- 11:23baseball right now. You can argue he's one of the
- 11:26worst players in baseball, but the Yankees have decided to keep
- 11:29them up as long as they've had because they have no really
- 11:32depth at the shortstop position. And they keep bringing these
- 11:36guys up to to move, move around on the field infield to try to
- 11:40figure out who will fit where and and how many times are they
- 11:44going to play Anthony Volpe every single week?
- 11:47But the Yankees have really put a lot of pressure on this young
- 11:52kid and, and say whatever you want, he is 2024 years old.
- 11:57He's still a kid. He's still a little wet behind
- 11:59the ears. Obviously he's not figuring it
- 12:02out. We've seen this many, many times
- 12:04with ex Yankee players, young Yankee players.
- 12:07We've mentioned a ton of them in the past.
- 12:09Some people can't cut it in New York.
- 12:11Anthony Volpe could be traded next year.
- 12:14The Yankees aren't going to get much form.
- 12:15But maybe he gets traded to Seattle, or maybe if he gets
- 12:18traded to the Angels or somewhere else, Texas, and he
- 12:22goes to another roster and maybe he figures it out.
- 12:24But the Yankees trusted that this kid was the future, the
- 12:28future face of this organization.
- 12:30When Aaron Judge decides to lace up the cleats, the Yankees right
- 12:35now, they don't have enough depth.
- 12:37Now, John Caller stands hot. They're getting enough from
- 12:40Bellinger. But this lineup is not been as
- 12:44good and as potent as we thought the Yankees lineup was going to
- 12:47be this year. And you, you question Aaron
- 12:50Boone. Is Aaron Boone the right guy for
- 12:52the job? And we all know Jorge Posada has
- 12:54put his name in the mix. He wants to be the next manager
- 12:57for the New York Yankees. Nevertheless, we still have to
- 13:01finish the season. The Yankees still have a chance
- 13:04to make the playoffs and make a run.
- 13:06Do I think the Yankees have any chance of winning a World
- 13:08Series? Right now with the roster, the
- 13:10way it's the way it's put together right now, no, this
- 13:13roster is not good enough. And the Red Sox have been one of
- 13:16the hotter teams in the second-half of the season.
- 13:18And, and again, when you look at the division and the American
- 13:22League East and and the American League East is still one of the
- 13:25better divisions in all the baseball with the Blue Jays and
- 13:28the Red Sox sitting up there on top and the Yankees are
- 13:31squeaking into the playoffs. That doesn't sell me anything on
- 13:35where this roster and where this team's going to be in the next
- 13:38couple of years. They have no depth in their farm
- 13:40system. And again, going back to Brian
- 13:43Cashman, who's come out and said a lot of interesting things over
- 13:46the last couple of weeks trying to figure out where this team is
- 13:49and what this team is going to be in the future.
- 13:52The fact is right now this team is an aging team.
- 13:56They have some youth and young players right now that we're
- 13:59going to see in the next couple of weeks.
- 14:01Maybe we see Spencer Jones before the seasons end, maybe
- 14:05not. We will see him next year.
- 14:07Dominguez is up and down. Volpe is just absolutely
- 14:10terrible. They don't have anything.
- 14:12No, the kid that they have on the mound right now, how do you
- 14:15pronounce his name? Schlittler.
- 14:17He looks like he's a pretty good pitcher.
- 14:19He looks like he almost, if it wasn't him that almost pitched
- 14:22the perfect game the other day. If if the Yankees could figure
- 14:26out their pitching staff and figure out some of the youth
- 14:28that they have in their farm system and find a guy in their
- 14:31farm system now, Warren hasn't really been the guy.
- 14:34I thought Warren was going to figure it out this year.
- 14:37He's been up and down. He was terrible this weekend
- 14:39against the Red Sox. The Yankees.
- 14:41The problem over the years, who was the last pitcher?
- 14:44The Yankees had from their farm system that really developed
- 14:47Luis Savarino and the other one after that is Andy Pettitte.
- 14:51A lot of these young pitchers become bullpen specialist like
- 14:56Jonathan Luisika. When Jonathan Luisika came into
- 14:58the league, he was not a relief pitcher.
- 15:00They were expecting him to be a starter.
- 15:02Jabba Chamberlain, where he's right now on our show, Jabba
- 15:05Jabba's the one of the league guys on the show.
- 15:07Jabba was back and forth. The Yankees are trying to figure
- 15:10out is is he a bullpen specialist?
- 15:12He's is the is he the future closer after MO leaves or is he
- 15:16a starter for this team? This has been going on with the
- 15:19New York Yankees forever and the Yankees at one point had Phil
- 15:25Hughes, had Jabba Chamberlain, had those kind of guys, had
- 15:28those kind of arms in their farm system and did nothing with
- 15:31them. You look at this Yankee roster,
- 15:34what scares you, What scares you as a Yankee as as a Yankee hater
- 15:39out there? People that can't stand the New
- 15:41York Yankees, that want to see the Yankees fall down flat on
- 15:44their face. Jazz, Chisholm, he don't scare
- 15:47me. There is nobody on this roster
- 15:49right now besides Giancarlo Stanton and Bellinger that
- 15:53scares me. Aaron George, since he's come
- 15:55back, is batting 2O72O7. He went from a 350 hitter to
- 16:00A320 hitter and what, 3 1/2 weeks?
- 16:04He's not hitting. I think he has three home runs
- 16:06and seven RBIs since he's coming back, since he's a comeback.
- 16:11The Yankees right now have nothing, nothing to look forward
- 16:15to for next year either. Now, if Garrett Cole comes back,
- 16:18but we all know he's coming back from Tommy John, Garrett Cole's
- 16:21not going to be back in the beginning of the season anymore.
- 16:23He probably won't be back until the end of July.
- 16:26And then you have Max Free, you have practically the same
- 16:29rotation. He always coming back, maybe a
- 16:32second year back from his injury.
- 16:34He'll be better next year. There's nothing to look forward
- 16:38to with the New York Yankees except maybe a new manager or
- 16:42maybe a new GM depending on where the Yankees go in the
- 16:44offseason is how going to part ways.
- 16:47Finally with Brian Cashman, when he was handed Brian Cashman when
- 16:52he took over the team, when George decided to step away.
- 16:56The the problem with the New York Yankees, and I'll go back
- 16:59to the past to the present. The Yankees organization for
- 17:02years thought that they can build around a roster of young
- 17:08talent that they brought up from their team and their farm
- 17:10system. Who was the two guys that the
- 17:12Yankees wanted to build around over the last 10 years?
- 17:16Luis Savarino, He's gone now. Is he with the Oakland Athletics
- 17:20now? And doing terrible.
- 17:21Yeah, so he was, he was a guy that.
- 17:23He signed one of the biggest the biggest deal in the A's as a
- 17:26starter. Yep.
- 17:27With the A's and and he was a guy that the Yankees wanted to
- 17:30build their pitching staff with. He's no longer with the team.
- 17:33Aaron Judge, he's right there. Dominguez, Jason Dominguez,
- 17:36Yankee fans want to trade him. Anthony Volpe, another guy.
- 17:40The Yankees, over the years, if you look at decade after decade
- 17:43after decade, in a 10 year to 12 year decade, they had four to
- 17:48five players they would build their roster with and then they
- 17:50would bring in veteran players, big price players like Jason
- 17:55Giambi, remember him that We could go on and on and on over
- 17:58the years, CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira, AJ Burnett, Alex
- 18:05Rodriguez, we could go on and on and on with the New York
- 18:09Yankees. That's what the Yankees do.
- 18:10That is the Yankee way. But guess what, ladies and
- 18:13gentlemen? If you look at the past
- 18:15championship teams over the last couple of years, it's all about
- 18:20building your farm system. Bring it up, youth.
- 18:23Look at the Red Sox over the weekend against the Yankees.
- 18:26Look at the young talent the Red Sox have.
- 18:29And now they're signing this young, these young, talented
- 18:32players. They're doing exactly what the
- 18:34Atlanta Braves have been doing over the last couple of years.
- 18:38They draft these players. They call them up eventually,
- 18:41they know they're stars and they give them long term deals.
- 18:44They give them a 10 year, $100 million contract.
- 18:47Well, that's what the Red Sox are doing right now and that's
- 18:49what a lot of these young talented teams are doing right
- 18:53now because they want to make sure that they keep around that
- 18:56keep their youth around for the the 1st 10 years of their
- 18:59career. Then you'll see what their 30s
- 19:01are going to lie or where it lies.
- 19:03As we see Aaron Judge in his 30s, he's still at the top of
- 19:06his game. But usually players when they
- 19:09hit their 30 mark between 30 and 30 for they're not the same
- 19:12players they were in their early and mid 20s.
- 19:15That's why Juan Soto. It was so important for Juan
- 19:19Soto to become a free agent in in his or mid 20s.
- 19:23He became a free agent at 2627 years old.
- 19:26Most players don't become free agents at those ages.
- 19:29Do you know why he became a free agent at that age?
- 19:32Because he came into the league at a very young age.
- 19:36Juan Soto came into the league at almost at 18 years old.
- 19:39He was 19/20/19 between 19 and 20 when he won his first World
- 19:44Series and won the World Series MVP.
- 19:47Within that time, he played for three franchises, the Nationals,
- 19:54the Padres and the Yankees. And now, ladies and gentlemen,
- 20:00he's playing for the New York Nets for the rest of his career
- 20:03because he just signed an extension worth about $768
- 20:06million. Baseball's a completely
- 20:10different sport than most of the sports we talk about with
- 20:14football. None of the besides the the
- 20:16money that they're guaranteed in the beginning of the contract,
- 20:19nothing is guaranteed at the tail end.
- 20:22In basketball, there is guaranteed money, but there's
- 20:25only 13 players, 14 players on a roster.
- 20:28So if you make a roster, you're going to make as much money as
- 20:33most players that are rookies in baseball.
- 20:37Because if you look at the baseball players, the rookies
- 20:39that are getting called up, they're only making 8 to
- 20:41$900,000. You look at you look at the guys
- 20:44right now on the roster, on a basketball roster and NBA roster
- 20:48that's right now sitting the bench, riding the bench and only
- 20:50practices with the team 13, the 13th to 14th spot.
- 20:55They're making about 3 million a year.
- 20:58That's like it's different. Sports are different now and
- 21:02there's only a minimum amount of positions and places you can
- 21:05play on a roster. That's why you you can't wait
- 21:09for the NFL and preseason because you got to see some of
- 21:12the young players and who's going to make the team.
- 21:14Maybe players that you wouldn't expect to sneak in and, and and
- 21:18beat out another guy that was a fourth round talent the year
- 21:21before and beat him out at being a non drafted player that you
- 21:24were unbelievable. Fine.
- 21:26We've seen this many, many times with The Jets and the Giants
- 21:29living here in New York, the Eagles.
- 21:30I've seen that with the Eagles over the last couple of years.
- 21:34Baseball's different. You got to work your way up all
- 21:38the way to the big leagues. You go from Single A to AA to
- 21:42AAA to the big leagues. Some guys like Jabba Chamberlain
- 21:47barely was in the minors. He practically went to the
- 21:51minors to just be called up as a Major League player in his first
- 21:55year. Not many guys get that
- 21:56opportunity, No. But a matter of fact, most of
- 22:00these guys don't get that opportunity.
- 22:02No matter how talented you are or where you're drafted in the
- 22:04first round in the top ten, it takes a long time to be called
- 22:09up in the major leagues. And when you look at Anthony
- 22:12Volpe that worked his way up to the majors and and we watch this
- 22:16kid developing his rookie season where he wins a Gold Glove and
- 22:20everybody says this guy's the future.
- 22:22When Aaron Judge decides to part ways, this guy could be the
- 22:25future captain of the New York Yankees.
- 22:27Now we're talking about Anthony Volpe not making a team next
- 22:29year, not making the roster next year, depending on who the
- 22:33manager is, because Aaron Boone more than likely will not be
- 22:36here next year. That's the scary part right now
- 22:39with the New York Yankees. We don't know who the Yankees
- 22:42are with. Usually they're called the Bronx
- 22:45Bombers. And yes, they had their spurts
- 22:48over the last couple of weeks. They're hitting homers, but
- 22:50that's about it. They're not winning, and the
- 22:53Yankees are all about winning. They're a winning franchise.
- 22:57Go ask anybody who's won more games than the New York Yankees
- 23:00in the last 35 years. Nobody in any sport.
- 23:04I know there's 162 games in a baseball season, which is more
- 23:07than any sport in the world. But if you look at all the
- 23:11baseball teams in the last 35 years, tell me a team that's won
- 23:15more games in the New York Yankees, nobody.
- 23:18And that's the difference. No matter how many games you
- 23:21win, you look at the Yankees are not being calculated about how
- 23:25many wins they have. It's championships.
- 23:28And the Yankees haven't won a championship in 15 years.
- 23:32That's the scary part right now. And any Yankee fan sitting here
- 23:36today that wants to argue this, well, then you can call the show
- 23:39right now. I'd love to hear you.
- 23:42This is a a pathetic organization right now.
- 23:45This is a pathetic team. This team is not good.
- 23:47They should not make the playoffs.
- 23:49But the American League is so very bad.
- 23:51The Yankees are going to sneak into the playoffs.
- 23:53Are they going to make a run? Are they going to beat the Blue
- 23:55Jays right now? Are they going to beat the Red
- 23:57Sox, who are very, very hot right now?
- 23:59No. Are they going to beat the
- 24:00Houston Astros? No.
- 24:03The Mariners? No, the Yankees went from one of
- 24:07the best teams in the American League before the season started
- 24:11to one of the worst teams making it to the playoffs.
- 24:15That's the scary part, guys. That's what scares me about the
- 24:18New York Yankees. Anybody sitting here and want to
- 24:21argue that? Good.
- 24:22Go right ahead. We had a guy that was in the
- 24:24Home Run Derby talking all that dump out of his mouth.
- 24:28He had three home runs in the Home Run Derby and then after
- 24:31the Home Run Derby was opening his mouth again talking about
- 24:34the Yankees being one of the better defensive teams in a
- 24:36league, one of the better teams in all of the major leagues, the
- 24:40Yankees. If you look at the Yankees
- 24:42record in the second-half, then one of the two worst teams in
- 24:45all of the major leagues in the second-half of the baseball
- 24:50season, there's no excuse to this team.
- 24:52Nothing, nothing. Injuries, every team has
- 24:56injuries. There's no excuse.
- 24:58There's no depth on this team. And anybody sitting here and
- 25:01want to argue with me on that, you can go right ahead.
- 25:04The bullpen, the Yankees added all these guys.
- 25:06They added two big arms in the bullpen at the trade deadline.
- 25:10Both guys have been up and down since they've come to the
- 25:12Yankees. They have not been consistent.
- 25:16And then we all know what Devin Williams is.
- 25:18He's an absolute joke. He's a joke.
- 25:21This guy was one of the best relief pitchers in all of
- 25:24baseball for the last five seasons.
- 25:26He goes to the Yankees. He stinks.
- 25:29Did you, did you see the number, Errol, of how many I think is in
- 25:32three or four years. It was 26 runs with the Brewers
- 25:36and he's giving that up. Yeah, it was like 5 months with
- 25:38the Yankees. It's it's, it's absolutely.
- 25:40Tough. It's pathetic.
- 25:42You're really, you were a relief pitcher, you were one of the
- 25:44best in a league at one point and you watch this guy, This guy
- 25:48was practically untouchable when he was over there in Milwaukee.
- 25:51When he was in Milwaukee, he was untouchable.
- 25:54And then the Mets, I, I know a lot of people make jokes.
- 25:57As soon as Pete Alonso got a hold of that three run home run,
- 26:00they said that he got it. He got into his head.
- 26:02And then he goes to the Yankees and gets traded to the Yankees
- 26:05in the offseason and, and with a new start with the New York
- 26:08Yankees and thinking that, oh, I got a chance to win a World
- 26:10Series with this team. And he's been an absolute bust.
- 26:13He's been one of the worst relief pitchers in all the
- 26:17baseball. Think about that.
- 26:18Anthony Volpe won the He won the Gold Glove for shortstop as a
- 26:23defensive player a year and a half ago.
- 26:25Now he's the worst defensive player in the infield in all of
- 26:28baseball. What does he have?
- 26:2917 errors? He's.
- 26:31Horrible. I think he's only second behind
- 26:35Ellie De la Cruz, right? I don't even know.
- 26:38But I don't think he has the range that De La Cruz does.
- 26:40De La Cruz has the better. Range.
- 26:41No. Yeah, I think De la Cruz has
- 26:44either one or two more. But yeah, De La Cruz is covering
- 26:46way more ground. Yeah, he just has random mental
- 26:49lapses. Like he still has a lot of good
- 26:51range. Like Volpe, it looked like had
- 26:52the good range at the beginning of his career.
- 26:54And then all of a sudden I saw something where he's like trying
- 26:57to field from his knees or something like that because he
- 26:59doesn't trust his glove, He doesn't trust his range.
- 27:01And I think that's gotten in his head so much.
- 27:03And again, a lot of young shortstops have had that kind of
- 27:06syndrome, trying to come up and trying to beat these elite
- 27:08defenders right away. And then Volpe had that kind of
- 27:10case in 2023 where he won a Gold Glove rookie year.
- 27:13And since then it's been a downward track and it just
- 27:17gotten really low to the extent. And I'm going to bring up
- 27:19something that you brought up with pitchers Java.
- 27:20And that's like trying to figure out your mentality, too.
- 27:23Because I think the only way that the Yankees are going to
- 27:25have him bounce back and get a role is defining it the way
- 27:28you've seen teams like the Dodgers and the Braves.
- 27:30Do the Dodgers do that same kind of thing with Gavin Lux?
- 27:33When he first came up, they left him on the bench during the
- 27:35postseason because he wasn't hitting.
- 27:37He had some similar defensive issues at second base and I
- 27:40think he was having issues with vision or something like that as
- 27:42well. And they left him down.
- 27:44They left him on the bench for a little while.
- 27:46Then he grew into his game later.
- 27:47He ended up trading, getting traded, but he still was a
- 27:49decent player. And then the Braves did that
- 27:51same kind of thing in center field with Christian Pasha when
- 27:53he came up as a prospect in their World Series here, left
- 27:56him on the bench. He was a good defender but
- 27:58couldn't hit. But they let him develop and
- 27:59they traded him to the Athletics eventually.
- 28:01The Yankees need that same kind of thing with Volpe if you want
- 28:04to get any kind of a trade value at this point because he seems
- 28:06like he's shot. Speedy at this point too, like
- 28:09with, with seeing like what Volpe's done and kind of the
- 28:12this, do you think like, and we, we've talked about this with
- 28:16some guys before. Do you think sending him down is
- 28:19would do any good or because I we've seen it both ways, kind of
- 28:24how it hurts and sometimes how you know it hinders maybe a
- 28:29reset and that or it's just hey, a phantom DL where you can just
- 28:33kind of woo sigh and just, you know, get like because he really
- 28:37wasn't getting days off. And this is kind of you know,
- 28:39when I guess, you know, you get a zit then you know it it comes
- 28:43to a head and it gets popped. So.
- 28:46Yeah, you're going for the Jackson Cheerio effect with the.
- 28:48Brew, I don't know about that terminology.
- 28:50You're going to have to ask Mike Piazza about.
- 28:56There was more than one on his back, so.
- 28:59You can connect the dots with Mike Piazza.
- 29:04Yeah, I just, I don't know what you'd really.
- 29:06I mean, obviously a mental break sometimes is more important than
- 29:10a physical break, right? And he has to see it and
- 29:14understand it. So I I don't know what the right
- 29:16thing would do right now for him.
- 29:18Is, and I'm reading what Kevin saying, he said, he said to me,
- 29:20genuine question, is the problem with the Yankees farm system?
- 29:24Is there enough talent or, or they're recruiting the wrong
- 29:29guys? And that's a good question.
- 29:31It really is. And only Brian Cashman and
- 29:34they're recruiting guys. They're their voices right now.
- 29:38They're analytics and the guys right now looking and scouting
- 29:41these guys because the Yankees have always been a very good
- 29:44organization on scouting and finding players all over the
- 29:47country, all over the world, internationally.
- 29:49Look at the guys the Yankees have brought in over the years
- 29:51that have some of them been successful, some of them have
- 29:54been absolute bust. But the Yankees have always been
- 29:56a smart organization on finding the right players for the
- 30:00position over the last couple of years, really the last 15 years.
- 30:03Remember when they brought Dominguez in or even bringing in
- 30:06Gary Sanchez? Gary Sanchez signed a contract
- 30:09with the Yankees at the age of 15.
- 30:11The Yankees gave him $5,000,000 and it was the biggest contract
- 30:15internationally any players ever got.
- 30:17He come, he gets called up in the middle of the season and
- 30:20I'll never forget it where he went on a tear.
- 30:22He he was doing, he was putting up numbers that Babe Ruth was
- 30:25putting up. And everybody's like, oh, this
- 30:26guy's going to be an absolute slam dunk.
- 30:29And then all of a sudden he wasn't getting along with Joe
- 30:31Girardi or something was going on in the locker room over the
- 30:35next two years. He was going into these slumps
- 30:38and he couldn't throw the ball the second base.
- 30:40And what happened? He winds it.
- 30:42He winds up being losing his luck over there with the
- 30:45Yankees. He gets traded and gets let go
- 30:47by the New York Yankees. And this, this has been going on
- 30:50forever. The only guy that really has
- 30:52stood out to me over the years, the guy that has been a Yankee
- 30:55from thick and thin, from their farm system is Aaron Judge.
- 30:58And now Yankee fans sitting here and saying, well, we need to
- 31:01know that Aaron Judge, those guys don't grow on trees.
- 31:03Guys, they don't grow on trees. Aaron Judge is a once in a
- 31:08generational type of player. Those guys don't grow like that.
- 31:12Now I'm hoping Spencer Jones becomes a great player.
- 31:16Now everybody expects to to see this kid become a superstar
- 31:20right in front of her eyes. He's doing great things right
- 31:22now in AAA. He's had a sensational run in
- 31:25AAA, but can he do it in the major leagues?
- 31:28And again, going back to some of these young players that we've
- 31:30seen get called up over the years with the Yankees after
- 31:33killing AAA, Dominguez was killing AAA before he got called
- 31:37up. Was he any good in the majors?
- 31:38Has he been any good in the in the major leagues?
- 31:41This guy is what Dominguez is what 2425 years old.
- 31:44This They call him the Alien. What?
- 31:46The Martian, whatever the hell they call him because he's a.
- 31:49I'm always OK, Arrow, let me let me ask you this.
- 31:51I've always wondered this and I wanted your opinion because
- 31:53obviously being a sports guy, yeah, he had that name before he
- 31:57did anything. Don't you think you should do
- 31:59something to earn that name? 100%, OK.
- 32:03Because I was like he got a name for not even doing anything and
- 32:06I saw over players weekend he had a Martian bat, which dope
- 32:09What? And mean nicknames are great.
- 32:10We'll get into that later. But like I feel like you have to
- 32:14earn like that nickname. Like not like the self
- 32:17appointed. Your favorite player in all of
- 32:19football, Mr. Hunter himself, AKA the Unicorn, AKA to Errol
- 32:23Marx the gremlin. The Gremlin.
- 32:26That's a great nickname. I just, I always wondered like I
- 32:30wouldn't even like as a as a player, I would be like, hey,
- 32:33let me earn, let me earn that. Like just don't.
- 32:36I haven't done anything. I haven't done anything to get
- 32:38it. No, I Yeah, there he is.
- 32:40There's a player ever. Yeah, I've.
- 32:41Always. I've always wondered that.
- 32:43Well, you're absolutely your people.
- 32:45Felt the same way. You're absolutely right, Jabba.
- 32:47And again, going back to you were a professional baseball
- 32:50player, You were there a significant amount of time.
- 32:52You were there in the majors for 10 years.
- 32:54You were one of the better relief pitchers in baseball for
- 32:57three years and very, very hot as as far as the Yankee is
- 33:01concerned. Yankee guys, usually Yankee
- 33:03pitchers when they get called up over the years don't do
- 33:05anything. They're not really that, you
- 33:08know, dominant. And we've got, we've gone on
- 33:11speaking about that early in this segment, talking about ex
- 33:14Yankee pitchers that we've named over the years that really they
- 33:17had one or two good years and they completely disappear.
- 33:20The fact is you got to earn the right to stay up in the major
- 33:24leagues. Anthony Volpe does not deserve
- 33:26to be up in the majors. He should be in AAA or AA and
- 33:29figure things out now. Sending him down, does it hurt
- 33:32him? Absolutely.
- 33:33Will he ever be called up again? Will he ever be the same player
- 33:36he was when he got called up and he was a Gold Glove winner?
- 33:39I don't know. The fact is, is the fans are
- 33:42killing him. And once you hear the fans start
- 33:45booing you, you're not the same player.
- 33:47And we've heard it. I've heard Nick Swisher say say
- 33:50it a couple of times when he was a Yankee.
- 33:52He said the fans are like, they're my drive.
- 33:56The when the fans are cheering you on, they drive me to be the
- 34:00player that I am. When the fans are booing me, I
- 34:02can't be the player that I want to be.
- 34:04It's like I'm losing oil, I'm losing gas, I'm losing that
- 34:08energy. So it's hard when you have the
- 34:11Yankee fans who are, and I'm, I'm not saying this because I
- 34:13mean Yankee fan, some of the, the best fans in the world when
- 34:17they're out there cheering you on, the Bleacher creatures are
- 34:20out there calling your name and you're saluting them out in the
- 34:23outfield. That is an amazing feeling.
- 34:26Could you imagine a Bleacher creatures booing you and calling
- 34:28you an ass or saying other derogatory things to you off and
- 34:32on the field? That to me is, is the worst
- 34:35feeling in the world. And this kid is a 20/23/24 year
- 34:39old player who doesn't understand what it's like to be
- 34:42pressured because he was always the best player in high school,
- 34:45he was always the best player in college and the minor leagues,
- 34:49and now he's just another player on the New York Yankees.
- 34:53Yeah, I want to bring up a point that Josh Towers brought up to
- 34:55us a few months ago when he was talking about the Orioles and
- 34:58how they have a lot of great athletes, great prospects on
- 35:01paper, and did not know how to develop them.
- 35:02And you wonder if the Yankees have that same kind of syndrome
- 35:04right now when it comes to when you're drafting a lot of these
- 35:06shortstops, especially in the first round.
- 35:08A lot of them are drafted there because they're the they're the
- 35:10best overall athletes in college baseball or high school baseball
- 35:14at the time. And some organizations having
- 35:16trouble with it. The Texas Rangers, you brought
- 35:18them up before and now they're getting better with their player
- 35:20development. They had a lot of top prospects
- 35:22that flamed out in the beginning of their careers because of
- 35:25that. Naftali Feliz as a pitcher, you
- 35:28had jerks and Profar was the number one prospect in baseball
- 35:30that didn't amount to anything when he was there.
- 35:32Joey Gallo, A notable example, supposed to be a great power
- 35:34hitter and never amounted to much of anything.
- 35:37So and then you have teams like the Brewers and the Astros that
- 35:40they turn out different pitching.
- 35:42Process the Brewers have been one of the best teams in in all
- 35:44the baseball when it comes to developing developing players
- 35:47and pitching Staffs. Go look at the pitching staff
- 35:49right now. Go look at their lineup and they
- 35:51play old school baseball. The Yankees haven't played old
- 35:53school baseball in the last 20 years, 25 years.
- 35:56It's all home runs. It's all power and power doesn't
- 36:00win championships. Go look at the teams over the
- 36:02last couple, even the Dodgers last year, they played small
- 36:06ball against the Yankees. Yeah, they home runs, but go
- 36:09look, they were stealing bases. They were hitting runs that
- 36:12Yankees don't do that. Dodgers did not chase at all,
- 36:15even against the Mets too, like they barely struck out.
- 36:17The Yankees don't do that. And that's the problem right now
- 36:20for the Yankees. And everybody's going to blame
- 36:22Aaron Boone. It's Aaron Boone's fault.
- 36:23No, it's, it's all about the analytics.
- 36:25It's all the guys up there, the executives running the team, the
- 36:28Levines and and obviously the Steinbrenner.
- 36:32Everybody up there negotiating or trying to figure out ways
- 36:35where this team should be going and looking at the these
- 36:38analytics and figuring out what works and what doesn't.
- 36:40But Aaron Boone's going to take the brunt.
- 36:42He's the manager and that's that's the way it goes.
- 36:45And now you got guys like Jorge Posada.
- 36:47Why would you bring in? And here's another thing.
- 36:49I'm not taking shots at Jorge Posada and I want to go deeper
- 36:51into this. I really don't.
- 36:53But Jorge Posada has no experiences or experience as a
- 36:57manager. He is.
- 36:59No, that's where I'm getting at. So if you, if you look at Jorge
- 37:03Posada and and he's going out there and he's speaking that he
- 37:06would love to take the job over for Aaron Boone if he becomes,
- 37:09if it becomes available. Aaron Boone was in a booth.
- 37:13He was working for ESPN. Now his father, his background
- 37:15as AGM, his other brother working and as a manager, that's
- 37:19great. Aaron Boone had no experience as
- 37:21a manager. He took over for the New York
- 37:23Yankees. He's never won anything.
- 37:25He's never been anywhere besides with the New York Yankees.
- 37:28Does he have a winning record? Yes, But the Yankees have given
- 37:30him talent year in and year out to win.
- 37:33It hasn't worked. Now you're going to bring in
- 37:35Jorge Posada. Jorge Posada was a part of the
- 37:38Yankees organization in that time where the Yankees were so
- 37:41dominant. Who was the manager of those
- 37:42teams? Joe Torre.
- 37:44Joe Torre had experience. Joe Torre jumped from one team
- 37:48to another. He was a Cardinals manager.
- 37:50He was a Mets manager. He went all over the place
- 37:53before he got the Yankees job and he wasn't even supposed to
- 37:55get the Yankee job. It was offered back to Buck
- 37:57Showalter when he was fired. And he didn't want it because he
- 38:01was not able to bring in his own, his own coaching staff.
- 38:05And Steinbrenner wanted him to to take the coaches that he
- 38:09wanted on in the dugout. And that was the difference.
- 38:12He Buck didn't want that. So he hired Joe Torre on a whim
- 38:16and and it was a slam dunk for the Steinbrenner family.
- 38:18It worked with some of the talent and and some of the
- 38:21personalities in that in that clubhouse.
- 38:23But I guess what Posada was one of those personalities.
- 38:27A lot of people, I've heard stories about Jorge Posada.
- 38:29Some people like him, others don't.
- 38:31Now, Derek Jeter and him are best friends and Moe is too.
- 38:34But there were other players on, you know, playing for those
- 38:37teams over the years. And I'm not going to mention
- 38:39names that I've spoken to off air that told me Jorge Posada
- 38:42was an ass. He was a jerk.
- 38:44So now you're going to bring this guy in who has no
- 38:47management experience, none whatsoever, and you're going to
- 38:50expect him to do better than Aaron Boone?
- 38:52Aaron Boone at least took the Yankees all the way to a World
- 38:55Series. They played a better team of
- 38:57Dodgers, were a better bill team.
- 38:59What is Jorge Posada going to do?
- 39:02And how long is it going to take Jorge Posada to take the Yankees
- 39:05to a World Series? It took Aaron Boone almost six
- 39:07years. So why it?
- 39:10Why would the Yankees bring in a guy with no experience?
- 39:13The best thing the Yankees should do in the offseason if
- 39:15they're going to fire Aaron Boone is go look at a manager
- 39:18that has experience, the Mark Del Roses of the world.
- 39:21Guys that have experience understand how to build a team
- 39:26from the bottom to the top. Because if the Yankees continue
- 39:28doing this, they're going to fall flat on their face and
- 39:31they're never going to win a World Series.
- 39:32Because I'll remember, and I said this before a couple of
- 39:35weeks ago, and Jabba, you can even, you can agree with me, Joe
- 39:38Girardi, when the Yankees won in 2009, he wore the number 27.
- 39:43After they won the World Series in 2009, he moved his, he
- 39:47changed his number to 28 because he wanted to be the manager to
- 39:50win #28 the last time the Yankees won a World Series was
- 39:53when he wore #27 So you know what I would say to the managers
- 39:58or the next manager running the New York Yankees, he should wear
- 40:01the number 27. Because to me, ever since Joe
- 40:06Girardi did that, he put a hex, a demon.
- 40:09A curse in the Yankees organization.
- 40:12And by the way, the last time the Yankees won, George
- 40:14Steinbrenner was alive. Since George Steinbrenner has
- 40:18been dead, the Yankees have not won a World Series.
- 40:21I don't know. That could be the Steinbrenner
- 40:23curse. We'll call that what was the
- 40:25Boss court? We'll call it the Boss curse.
- 40:27That's what we'll call it, the New York Yankees Boss curse.
- 40:30And until the Yankees win a World Series, to me, I think
- 40:32they're a cursed organization. Where do you stay on Java?
- 40:35Where do you sit on the next Yankees manager wearing #62?
- 40:39Oh man, yeah, I mean, I wish I was there because numbers was
- 40:45going for big money back when I played.
- 40:47I remember when they all came over, they were trading for like
- 40:5010/15/20 grand. I was like, damn, y'all, y'all
- 40:53want my number? I'll go ahead and give it to
- 40:54y'all like come on now. But no, I mean, I, yeah, it's,
- 40:58it's interesting like how, how it's going to play itself out.
- 41:05It's it's funny that you say you think about all the curses and,
- 41:08and the Cubs and the Red Sox and whatever and, and you get, you
- 41:12know, see what's happening now. It's just like, it's just, it's
- 41:16weird to to see how it's transgressed in 15 years.
- 41:20And it, that's really not that long when you really think about
- 41:23it. Like in the essence of but it
- 41:25just it seems like the culture has changed so much in that in
- 41:29that span where I get what you're saying with Horry
- 41:32bringing in a guy that obviously doesn't have it just like Boonie
- 41:35did. I, I just it's it sounds great
- 41:39in theory, but knowing knowing Sado and knowing whatever, he
- 41:43would never be a puppet and he would want to do things the way
- 41:46that he would want to do it. So it does it sound great and
- 41:50does it make everybody tingle in all the right spots?
- 41:54As Yankee fans, I'm not tingling.
- 41:56Most of them, but yeah, it'll I, I like the the younger I, I
- 42:02mean, Joe Madden would be a different one because, you know,
- 42:05he kind of is off the beaten path.
- 42:07I mean, he's bringing Penguins in the in the club.
- 42:09Everybody that I've know that played for him said it was great
- 42:12because he just, he was a guy that was like, oh, he brought in
- 42:15like, what is the Marachi band? Like all kinds of stuff.
- 42:19They said it was cool. So I guess we'll see.
- 42:22Time will tell. You never know it.
- 42:24I mean, we could be talking about the same thing.
- 42:28And they didn't do anything. Oh, yeah.
- 42:31Speedy. Yeah.
- 42:31Oh, he did. He wanted a live lion.
- 42:33He wanted to bring in a live lion when he his first his first
- 42:37year with a Hard Knocks or something.
- 42:39It would bother anybody. It would bother anybody right
- 42:41now when you're sitting here and you're you're you're in the
- 42:44middle of making a wild card run and you're talking about who the
- 42:49next manager is going to be for the New York Yankees.
- 42:51That's the scary part right now for all the Yankee fans out
- 42:54there, that's the only thing they want to talk about.
- 42:57So, I guess the Yankees. Have given a chance this year
- 42:59like I mean the years not over. Yeah, you're right.
- 43:03Speaking of over Shador Sanders struggles and Shiloh Sanders was
- 43:08cut. Legendary brand athlete Shador
- 43:11Sanders struggled mightily in his final preseason at game of
- 43:16action, going 3 for six with 14 yards, getting sacked five
- 43:20times. He finished with a -27 yards,
- 43:24counting in the negative sack yardage.
- 43:27RG3A frequent Sanders defender was critical of the Browns
- 43:33taking Sanders out at the end of the game to give Snoop Huntley
- 43:38the last series, only to cut him after the game.
- 43:42Griffin went further, saying that Sanders was given a raw
- 43:45deal having to play with guys who are not going to make the
- 43:50team, while Dylan Gabriel had a better talented a bunch of
- 43:54players around him. Former lineman and NFL analyst
- 43:58Jeff Schwartz fired back at RG3 shows, showing clips of Sanders
- 44:03holding onto the ball for too long and missed open plays.
- 44:08Hall of Famer running back Eric Dickerson claims that the NFL
- 44:12source told him that the league colluded with teams not to draft
- 44:17him on the 1st 2 days of the draft.
- 44:20Shadour's brother Shiloh was cut from the Buccaneers after
- 44:25throwing a punch at a Bills tight end in the last preseason
- 44:29game. The Browns traded Kenny Pickett
- 44:32for a fifth round pick to the Raiders, opening up a QB 3 for
- 44:36Shador just minutes ago. Well ladies and gentlemen,
- 44:41there's a lot to get into with Shadora Sanders.
- 44:43And the fact is, there was no way Shadora wasn't going to make
- 44:48this team. There was no way.
- 44:50First of all, if you look at the jersey sales right now with the
- 44:53Browns, they're one of the highest out of the whole team.
- 44:56Just think about it. A third string, fourth string
- 44:59quarterback, at one point a fifth string quarterback on this
- 45:02roster. His jersey is selling more than
- 45:05half the players on this roster. So there was no way the Browns
- 45:10knowing that this guy is a high profile player, his father is
- 45:15Deion Sanders prime, that they weren't going to let this guy
- 45:19make the team no matter how bad he played in his final game.
- 45:23The fact is right now Shidor Sanders has a lot to prove.
- 45:27A lot. And only time will tell if he's
- 45:29an NFL player or he's the CFL player or he's just another guy.
- 45:33And right now, hey, if you're a Browns fan, you should be
- 45:37excited because you don't know who your your quarterbacks going
- 45:39to be. You have Joe old man Flacco
- 45:41throwing the ball early in the season.
- 45:43You might even to see at one point Deshaun Watson, AKA
- 45:46Superman, as we all knew, knew, know Debo.
- 45:49I'm sorry, Dabo Sweeney says that he was.
- 45:52The fact is, right now, Dylan Gabriel and Shadora Sanders, as
- 45:58of right now, is the future for the Cleveland Browns.
- 46:03And sitting here today, are you cheering for that?
- 46:06Are you excited for that? If you're a Browns fan, are you
- 46:08scared? I think Dylan Gabriel's a good
- 46:11young player. He was a Heisman candidate.
- 46:14Very nice kid. Really, really nice.
- 46:17Small, Very, very small. Is he going to last in the NFL?
- 46:22Now? There are other quarterbacks
- 46:23over the years, Drew Brees being one of them, Russell Wilson
- 46:26being another. They have been successful.
- 46:28They've won Super Bowls. Dylan Gabriel's a different type
- 46:32of quarterback. He's not an accurate thrower
- 46:35like Drew Brees. He doesn't have the arm Drew
- 46:38Brees has, and he's not a scrambler like Russell Wilson.
- 46:43Different players. And Shanor Sanders, he's pretty
- 46:46big. He's not a small guy, 6 foot 26
- 46:49foot three. He's got a good arm.
- 46:51He's he's an interesting person in the pocket.
- 46:54And what I mean by that, you don't know what he's going to
- 46:57do. Is he going to run backwards 20
- 46:58yards and get sacked or is he going to run forwards 20 yards
- 47:02and actually gain yards? You don't know what you're going
- 47:04to get at Shadora Sanders because Shadora Sanders doesn't
- 47:06even know if he's on a football field or he's hanging out in a
- 47:11in a boys locker room or he's hanging out in a studio rapping.
- 47:15Sometimes I wonder if Shadora Sanders knows who he really is.
- 47:20The fact is, is his father's one of the greatest defensive
- 47:22players to ever play this game. And when you hear Eric Dickerson
- 47:25come out and obviously has a good connection with prime, I
- 47:28know that for a fact that him and Deion Sanders are very, very
- 47:31close. Of course Eric Dickerson is
- 47:33going to come out and protect Deion Sanders son saying that
- 47:36there was collusion. There was collusion that the the
- 47:39GMs and owners didn't want to draft this guy in the first two
- 47:44days. What a crock of you know what
- 47:47they knew that this kid was going to be a problem.
- 47:50This guy's going to make money because of his name.
- 47:52This guy's got the ability to go out there and and be a star just
- 47:57because he is prime son. Just like Travis AK of the
- 48:01Gremlin Hunter. He comes from that brand, and
- 48:06when you come from a brand of nut nutso, and I say nutso
- 48:10because that's that's the way Prime plays go, go look at
- 48:14anything that he's done on and off the field over the years.
- 48:17I think Prime is one of the most unique people in professional
- 48:22sports history when it comes to endorsing himself and selling
- 48:25himself and making the most money for a brand.
- 48:29He is one of the best of all time.
- 48:31But for years we've heard Prime go out there and talk about his
- 48:35son, that his son is the greatest thing since sliced
- 48:38bread. And he said that Shiloh is an
- 48:40NFL player. Shiloh didn't even last the
- 48:43preseason. He's going to be in the CFL
- 48:46chador. How long is it going to take for
- 48:48the NFL to realize that this kid might not be an NFL player?
- 48:52He's got the best chance over Shiloh because Shiloh is
- 48:56undersized. He's a defensive player who I
- 48:58don't think had any business playing on an NFL football field
- 49:02against anybody. Third string.
- 49:04Fourth string. Other than Fish strings.
- 49:07Shador at least has an understanding of the position as
- 49:10a quarterback. The question is when you got
- 49:13guys like RG3, like I've said many times, sticking up for you
- 49:16and you don't have guys like Peyton Manning or Eli Manning or
- 49:20Ben Roethlisberger coming out and sticking up for you.
- 49:22To me, that tells me one thing. It tells me that are you a
- 49:27likable person? Are you a transcending player
- 49:31for the future, for the NFL and, and, and actually want this guy
- 49:37to be your starting quarterback for your futures or your future
- 49:42organization? Now the question, that's a
- 49:45question that only owners and GM's are going to tell you.
- 49:47Here's the fact. Here's the facts.
- 49:49If I'm the GM, if I was the GM for the Browns, I drop him.
- 49:53I don't want to deal with the the backlash of this kid in the
- 49:56locker room during games after games.
- 49:59You have Dylan Gabriel that's trying to figure things out, and
- 50:02you have this guy tailing right behind him, probably talking
- 50:05behind Dylan Gabriel or sinking things in the offensive
- 50:08lineman's heads. Or some of the wide receivers
- 50:11that are building relationships with your door on the football
- 50:13field and during practice while Dylan Gabriel's trying to figure
- 50:16out how to read plays or figure out audibles at the line of
- 50:20scrimmage. If I was Dylan Gabriel right
- 50:23now, would I be comfortable right now knowing that your door
- 50:26Sanders is sitting behind me? The answer would be no.
- 50:30I would be telling ownership and I'd be telling my coach.
- 50:33It's either me. I am.
- 50:35If you don't want me here, trade me somewhere else where I get a
- 50:39chance to prove myself. I was a runner up for Heisman.
- 50:43I was a top five player in the country last year.
- 50:45This guy played for his father. This guy was never, he never
- 50:50beat a top 25 defensive team in all of college football last
- 50:55year. I did.
- 50:57I was in the playoffs. I had the best team in the
- 50:59country last year. That's to me.
- 51:03I would feel I would be uncomfortable going into an NFL
- 51:07season knowing that Shadora is a more popular player.
- 51:10He's more talked about and spoken about throughout the
- 51:14league than I am. I was a higher draft pick.
- 51:18I was a higher profile player coming out of the draft and this
- 51:22guy's being more spoken. People are speaking about him
- 51:25more than they're speaking about me.
- 51:27And I'm the number two. I'm the number 2 or #3 on this
- 51:30roster. I don't get it.
- 51:34I don't get any of it. And if you're a Shaddor Sanders
- 51:38fan, which I'm getting hated all over social media, that I'm a
- 51:41racist and I'm not a Shaddor Sanders or Deion Sanders lover,
- 51:45and then I should show my respect or kiss the rings.
- 51:49Kiss what rings. The fact is right now, I am not
- 51:52Deion Sanders. No, I'm not.
- 51:55I'm not prime. I've never played professional
- 51:58baseball and professional football in one season.
- 52:01I never won a Super Bowl. I never was considered one of
- 52:05the greatest defensive players of all time.
- 52:07I was nothing of of of any ability this man was as a
- 52:13professional athlete. But what I can say about what I
- 52:16can say about Shador Sanders either was Shador, neither is
- 52:21Chador. Chador is not his father.
- 52:23Chador will never be his father. And Chador needs to stop looking
- 52:27or trying to chase his father's shadow because to me, that's all
- 52:31he's going to be doing. And if he doesn't learn how to
- 52:33keep his mouth shut and be professional and understand the
- 52:36quarterback position, learn the position.
- 52:39Don't sit there and say, hey, I know the book.
- 52:42I know, I know the plays, I know this, I know that.
- 52:44When everybody knows your and it's been said, one of the main
- 52:48reasons why you were not drafting in the first 3 rounds
- 52:50is you don't study. You don't study plays, you don't
- 52:56watch anything. You think that your pure talent
- 53:00is enough for you to step on an NFL football field and win.
- 53:04Johnny Manziel did that. How long was Johnny Manziel in
- 53:07the NFL? Ask anybody that Tim Tebow was a
- 53:11studier. He didn't have that God-given
- 53:13talent that some of these other quarterbacks, the Eli Manning's,
- 53:16the Peyton Manning, the Drew Breeses, he didn't have the
- 53:18God-given talent, but he had the heart and he had the study
- 53:22ability that he would sit there and watch film.
- 53:25This man doesn't know the word film.
- 53:28He should have never made this team.
- 53:31The Browns made a big mistake. I think this is going to be a
- 53:34huge problem during the season because Dylan Gabriel is
- 53:37eventually going to get a shot. And what is Dylan Gabriel going
- 53:40to do when he makes the mistake? What is Dylan Gabriel going to
- 53:43do when they lose 2 games in a row?
- 53:45They're going to. He's going to worry about your
- 53:46door taking his job or throwing a touchdown. 1 touchdown to his
- 53:51zero in two games because the team has no offensive talent and
- 53:56they're saying shadors the guy and Dylan Gabriel's garbage.
- 54:00To me, I'd be worried about that.
- 54:02Not the fact that Shidor Sanders is Deon Sanders, his son and
- 54:06Archie three, thinks that he's getting a bad what?
- 54:08What is it a bad kick in the butt by the media because they
- 54:11don't like him? It's a bunch of it's a bunch of
- 54:15crap. OK, fans, stop it.
- 54:18Stop going out there and attacking me on social media.
- 54:20Then I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 54:22I'm going to tell you this right now.
- 54:23Shidor Sanders is going to be nothing.
- 54:25He's going to be nothing in the NFL and to me, he's a pure
- 54:28backup. He will be considered a backup
- 54:31and when his father decides to take an NFL job in the next
- 54:35three to four years when he claimed he didn't and he wasn't,
- 54:38he will and his son will be his backup quarterback.
- 54:42That will be the only reason why should Door has a job in the NFL
- 54:45in the next 4 years because his father's going to take a job to
- 54:48make sure that his son is taken care of.
- 54:50Besides that, his son is not good.
- 54:54You watch the the film, you watch what he does.
- 54:58He does everything wrong on a football field.
- 55:00Nobody runs backwards 20 yards because you're trying to get
- 55:04open or trying to wait for somebody to get open.
- 55:06When you have faster, stronger, more talented athletes in the
- 55:11NFL than you do, you do in college football.
- 55:14You can't do what you did in college football in the NFL.
- 55:17It doesn't work. It doesn't work.
- 55:20And and guys and all these media guys and all these coaches and
- 55:25and GM's coming out and saying that Shador wasn't the guy.
- 55:28He wasn't in their eyes, the guy that they thought was going to
- 55:32be the future of their organization.
- 55:33They're not wrong. These guys have been studying
- 55:35football just as long as anybody.
- 55:38He knows as his father was as a professional athlete, or his
- 55:44uncle or his grandfather was as a semi Pro Football, a baseball
- 55:49player, I don't know. I don't know what his uncle or
- 55:51grandfather was. But the fact is, Shador thinks
- 55:55that he knows more than the owners do, more than the GMs do
- 55:59and more than the coaches do. Yeah.
- 56:01As somebody that doesn't really care about Shador or Dylan
- 56:03Gabriel as as a starting NFL quarterback, I'll take it from
- 56:06the Jeff Schwartz RG3 feud part of it.
- 56:08And I think Jeff Schwartz, outside of being a little biased
- 56:10with the Chief sometimes, is actually a very good analyst.
- 56:13Dylan Gabriel, he was pressured I think a second faster in all
- 56:18his drop backs, I think besides one then Shador was and he got a
- 56:22he got hit I believe or hurried like twice more than Shador did.
- 56:27So to use the offensive line excuse that RG3's trying to use
- 56:30all they had all the starters in the game, they hit all the 5th
- 56:32strings in the game. They didn't give him a fair
- 56:34chance. Doesn't seem as legitimate here.
- 56:36Now again, I think both quarterbacks do have to like
- 56:38think of it as a prove it type year for them because the Browns
- 56:42again, they probably could be a very bad team.
- 56:43They could easily draft a quarterback next year if they
- 56:46have a top five pick just as easily as they did this year
- 56:48because the class pass is very good.
- 56:50And Dylan Gabriel, like you were saying, he has some good
- 56:53leadership traits. I think he could be a competent
- 56:54backup in the league, but he's small and he's already old and
- 56:58he only really developed his arm mechanics to be this good in his
- 57:01last year in the in college football.
- 57:03Shador Sanders still has to say a lot of the same problems.
- 57:05He holds the ball too long. He's blaming his offensive line
- 57:08for everything and that's not starting quarterback material.
- 57:11But to say that he's. He hasn't even played in the
- 57:13NFL, and you're already given up on Dylan Gabriel.
- 57:15Now, he is small, but so was Russell Wilson.
- 57:18So was Drew Brees. So it was a lot of quarterbacks
- 57:20in this league to sit here and say, well, he's too old or he's
- 57:24too small, he's not fast. He doesn't have the accuracy
- 57:27that some of these quarterbacks coming out of the draft over the
- 57:30last couple years. So what?
- 57:31Maybe he has the factor. Tim Tebow, everybody said he
- 57:34wasn't a quarterback in the NFL. This guy took a team, a Broncos
- 57:38team all the way to the playoffs, I remember it, made a
- 57:42run and beat the Steelers. That's what he did.
- 57:44He beat the Steelers in the playoffs, knocked him out in the
- 57:46first round when the Steelers were one of the best teams
- 57:48coming out of the AFC. So to say that you can't win
- 57:51with heart, that's a bunch of crap.
- 57:53You can find ways to win in football now again.
- 57:57Tebow wasn't good, though. Let's just be.
- 57:58Honest. No, he wasn't No, he was
- 58:00athletic. He wasn't a good thrower.
- 58:02He should have been a tight end. I've always said that Tim Tebow
- 58:05should have came in the NFL, his body who was structured as a
- 58:08tight end. He still, if you look at Tim
- 58:10Tebow right now, he's it's built like an ox.
- 58:12His workouts are ridiculous, but you know his his career is done.
- 58:16He tried to play baseball with the Mets.
- 58:18It didn't work out. But what I'm trying to say is
- 58:20you don't know what these guys have inside them.
- 58:23I'm not saying Dylan Gabriel can't be successful in the NFL.
- 58:26He can be if he has the right talent around him.
- 58:28The problem right now is the Browns have no talent
- 58:32offensively around them. Who is their their number one
- 58:35wide receiver right now? Jerry, Judy, that's their number
- 58:39one guy. You're going to go into a season
- 58:41with rookie quarterbacks, Joe Flacco, a veteran guy who's only
- 58:45going to be there for three or four games, and then they're
- 58:47going to probably give the reins to one of these guys and you're
- 58:49going to say, OK guys, OK, boys, go out there and show me what
- 58:52you got when you have nobody out there.
- 58:56We talked about The Jets. I was talking to a bunch of Jets
- 58:58fans today. What do The Jets have?
- 59:00They have Garrett Wilson and they have Mason a Mason Taylor.
- 59:04They don't have a second wide receiver.
- 59:06The Jets have to go after a second wide receiver.
- 59:07The Jets have 3-4 more weapons than the Cleveland Browns do on
- 59:12their whole 53 man roster. Think about that.
- 59:16They got nothing, nothing out there.
- 59:18And now you have two rookie quarterbacks.
- 59:20You're going to throw to the walls.
- 59:21You're going to throw them in into the the pack of defensive
- 59:25teams. You're going to have to play
- 59:27this year where they're going to be running for their dear lives.
- 59:29And I'm, I'm sticking up for Shudor here.
- 59:31I feel bad for Shudor, even though Shudor shouldn't have
- 59:34made the team. Dylan Gabriel is put in a bad
- 59:37situation. So is Shador Sanders and, and,
- 59:41and the coaching staff too. I mean, ownership and the GM did
- 59:45not give them the right pieces going into the offseason to help
- 59:50this team be a contender. This is one of the worst teams
- 59:52right now in the NFL on paper. If you look at it, their
- 59:55defense, Miles Garrett, they paid him a lot of money.
- 59:58They got some defensive players. That's not going to make a
- 1:00:00difference. They're not going to be able to
- 1:00:02score. Not if they're on the field,
- 1:00:03it's on your good defense only get worn out by offense so much.
- 1:00:07And the ownership I think is a big factor into that too.
- 1:00:10When you look at the stories coming out about Kevin Stefanski
- 1:00:13always he's sabotaging Sidora Sanders, he's sabotaging Dylan
- 1:00:16Gabriel and not even saying you wanted either one of those
- 1:00:19quarterbacks. And now the ownership saying,
- 1:00:20oh, we, we wanted those guys in in there.
- 1:00:22And he didn't want he he wanted to stick with his veteran guys.
- 1:00:25The loop that they've been going through too.
- 1:00:26And now they're going to throw him out of the bus.
- 1:00:28And we talked about that a few weeks ago.
- 1:00:29Like Kevin Stefanski, if he hits the open market will become a
- 1:00:32hot commodity as a head coach for a team like the Falcons.
- 1:00:35A-Team like the Buccaneers. The Giants.
- 1:00:36The Giants, any coach, any team that has coaches on the hot
- 1:00:39seat, he's going to become that kind of hot commodity because
- 1:00:41the Browns just presented it with so much bad offense all at
- 1:00:44once. Do you know right now on Vegas
- 1:00:46the number one guy to go in the offseason, do you know?
- 1:00:50No, it's Dabel. Dabel is the number one guy
- 1:00:53right now on Vegas when it comes to percentages on who's going to
- 1:00:58be out. Out of all these coaches we just
- 1:01:00mentioned, Dabel's the number one guy.
- 1:01:02He's going to be the guy and Dabel's got a lot to prove.
- 1:01:05He's got Jackson Dart, he's got some young talent right now.
- 1:01:08We'll see how this giant team starts off and if they go if if
- 1:01:11they start off strong, maybe Dabel keeps his job for another
- 1:01:14year and so does Joe Shane. But if they get the the
- 1:01:17quarterback right, the the fact is, is, is trying to search for
- 1:01:20a quarterback, ask the New York Jets.
- 1:01:21It's not easy to do. It's not easy to do.
- 1:01:23And I think the different case between Stefanski and Dabel too.
- 1:01:26When Dabel won coach of the Year, it was a nine, seven and
- 1:01:28one win team that the Giants had with a pretty easy schedule.
- 1:01:32The Browns been playing in a very difficult division and
- 1:01:34still made two playoff appearances with scrap peep.
- 1:01:36Just think about it. We've mentioned Geno Smith,
- 1:01:38we've mentioned Sam Donald. They all left the New York Jets
- 1:01:41and they've been successful everywhere else they went.
- 1:01:43Just think about that. It doesn't work in certain
- 1:01:46organizations. Go ask the Browns how many good
- 1:01:48quarterbacks or thought of quarterbacks they thought were
- 1:01:51going to be a part of that roster in that organization for
- 1:01:54years, for almost 40 years, none of them panned out to nothing.
- 1:01:58They had one in Baker Mayfield. They drafted as a #1 pick and
- 1:02:01where did they do? What is it?
- 1:02:02What do they do? They let him go.
- 1:02:04They traded him away. They let him go to I think the
- 1:02:06Rams and he goes to the Rams and then he eventually finds his way
- 1:02:10with the Buccaneers and now he's one of the better young
- 1:02:12quarterbacks right now in the NFL.
- 1:02:14It's just pathetic. The Browns, The Jets over the
- 1:02:17years, the Bengals have had their UPS and their downs.
- 1:02:19The Bears, I mean all these organizations and and again and
- 1:02:23the Packers, they've always for some reason they get their luck.
- 1:02:27They they Aaron Rodgers, they had Brett Favre, they didn't
- 1:02:31draft him, but they brought him in.
- 1:02:32Bart Starr they've had good quarterbacks in in decades after
- 1:02:36decades it some teams are lucky and others are not so.
- 1:02:40As much as I like to bash him, some of the Chargers, they had
- 1:02:42Dan Fouts, they had Drew Brees, they had Phillip Rivers and I
- 1:02:44don't have Justin Herbert. I I think sorry bitch, I just
- 1:02:51think too. I think should do I I think too
- 1:02:54like give him a like he's going to be on team because it's
- 1:02:59you're either going to see him success or fail.
- 1:03:02You're going to watch it either way.
- 1:03:04But I also think too it's like let him do one or the other.
- 1:03:07Like it's it sucks. I mean, he's Dion's kid and he
- 1:03:11like takes it to an extreme, I think personally, but just let
- 1:03:16him either succeed or fail and then then go about it in a
- 1:03:20different way. Like pre season and like we've
- 1:03:22talked about before on the show, it's like every season is one
- 1:03:24thing, like let him go out and either succeed or fail.
- 1:03:27Is he ready right now? But maybe here in a year or two,
- 1:03:30like he's going to get a chance to show himself improved.
- 1:03:32Like so it's either like you don't have to like the guy, but
- 1:03:36you really haven't seen him do anything.
- 1:03:39And I would, I wouldn't, I'm, I'm going to watch to see how he
- 1:03:41does, whether he succeeds or fails.
- 1:03:44But like, let him try. But he also needs to get out of
- 1:03:47his own way, too. Jabba, You're Jabba.
- 1:03:49The only reason why you're watching him is because he's
- 1:03:51Dion's son. That's the that's what most
- 1:03:54people are watching. Why is this jersey?
- 1:03:55Selling. That why is this jersey selling
- 1:03:58as much as it is. I mean, I watched the game the
- 1:04:00other day, the final game, every single every single fan and the
- 1:04:04front row was wearing wearing Shador Sanders jersey.
- 1:04:08Jersey, you're going to take advantage of it.
- 1:04:10You're not going to not take advantage of.
- 1:04:12It no and I I understand that, but if if.
- 1:04:15I was my point. Let him.
- 1:04:16Let him like, OK, yeah, but. Here's my point here.
- 1:04:19He could also. Go about it a different way
- 1:04:20though. Here's my point.
- 1:04:22If you're you're Dylan Gabriel and you were their third you,
- 1:04:25you were their third round pick and you're expected to be the
- 1:04:28future quarterback of this organization and you have Shidor
- 1:04:32Sanders breathing down your neck.
- 1:04:34Now for the rest of the season, when you get a chance to get
- 1:04:37into the game, if you make a mistake or you don't play well,
- 1:04:41you got to worry about this guy taking a snap away from you or
- 1:04:45playing a little bit better than you and stealing your job,
- 1:04:48stealing your shine away from you when you don't get a chance
- 1:04:51to really succeed as a player, as a young player, as a guy that
- 1:04:55deserves to get the time and the opportunity on an NFL football
- 1:04:58field. I would be pissed off if I was
- 1:05:00dealing. I don't know what that agree,
- 1:05:03but I mean, in the Browns, you look at it as these have become
- 1:05:07businesses more so than anything.
- 1:05:09They're keeping them on there and they're going to they're
- 1:05:12going to try everything to get him on the field, good or bad.
- 1:05:14And no, you're 100% right though, talking about from Dylan
- 1:05:18Gabriel's perspective, it's like, even if I do go ball out,
- 1:05:21they're going to give him a chance.
- 1:05:22And the first moment that it doesn't look like I'm going this
- 1:05:25way and I'm kind of going this way, they're going to give him a
- 1:05:27chance because they want to see it.
- 1:05:29Because really, what the hell else would you watch the Browns
- 1:05:32for? I mean that's let's let's just
- 1:05:34call. It Miles Garrett.
- 1:05:35Miles Garrett. That's it.
- 1:05:36Yeah. Hey dude, he got a nice throwing
- 1:05:39arm. Did you see that highlight the
- 1:05:40other day? That guy is.
- 1:05:42He's a freak. That guy's like, yeah, nice.
- 1:05:45Little release. I was like, man.
- 1:05:46I called him, I gave him a nickname.
- 1:05:48I call him Optimus Prime. That's what I call him because
- 1:05:51that's what he looks like. I mean, the guy is built like
- 1:05:53Optimus Prime. So I it's.
- 1:05:56You know, like he's got like 2-8 packs for ABS that is ripped out
- 1:06:00of his. It's frickin mind.
- 1:06:01It's unbelievable that he plays football and it it's just
- 1:06:04unstoppable. But I.
- 1:06:07I wanted to talk a little bit about the other brother, Shiloh
- 1:06:11Sanders, because Shiloh Sanders, when he was 15, punched out a
- 1:06:16security guard and almost paralyzed him.
- 1:06:18And his father advised him not to to go and pay this guy or
- 1:06:25show up in court. So they got given the summary
- 1:06:27judgment of what, $11 million? And then they decided to file
- 1:06:31bankruptcy so they didn't have to pay him.
- 1:06:35Now Fast forward 10 years later, because Shiloh's 25, I don't
- 1:06:38know if you realize he's a 25 year old rookie.
- 1:06:39He's not going to be playing in this league.
- 1:06:42He gets cut because guess what? He punched another guy because
- 1:06:45he couldn't hold his composure. Though criticism for Shidor was
- 1:06:49always about being, you know, he's entitled.
- 1:06:52He was coddled. He doesn't have the composure.
- 1:06:55It's a common theme with the two brothers, I think.
- 1:06:57And I think what happened is they didn't really let him grow
- 1:07:00up. You know, Dion had them on TV,
- 1:07:02he had them on set. They became a brand before they
- 1:07:05got out of high school. Every stop along the way, they
- 1:07:09just didn't get a chance to grow up.
- 1:07:11Chador was always in a no huddle or what they call a muddle
- 1:07:13huddle. He never had to command a huddle
- 1:07:16of guys. Now he's got these new guys in
- 1:07:19the in this setup and he couldn't lead them for crap in
- 1:07:21that game. I know they weren't any good,
- 1:07:23but it could have been better than that.
- 1:07:25And all he did was run around without any composure playing
- 1:07:28Madden football on rookie mode, like he was going to be able to
- 1:07:31throw off his back foot falling back 30 yards and he got sacked
- 1:07:34over and over and over again. That dude, they said he was pro
- 1:07:37ready. That shit ain't pro ready.
- 1:07:40It's not even close. So for me, I think it's just I
- 1:07:44don't look Dion's been going through health problems.
- 1:07:46We know that it's not a shot at Dion, but at the same time we
- 1:07:51see as a common theme with the two of them.
- 1:07:53They both need to grow the F up. They didn't do enough of that
- 1:07:57yet. Well, again, that's why I didn't
- 1:07:59want to speak about Shiloh because he's, to me, past tense.
- 1:08:03Nobody's going to bring him back to the NFL.
- 1:08:05The CFL, the Toronto are good. For them, good.
- 1:08:08For them, his. Rights.
- 1:08:10Congratulations to Shiloh as he just absolutely fell flat on his
- 1:08:13face and eventually his brother Shador.
- 1:08:16And you know what's so funny? You're not hearing from Deion
- 1:08:18Sanders, the senior. You're hearing it from Deion
- 1:08:21Sanders junior all over social media saying that his, his his
- 1:08:26younger brother didn't get a fair, what did he call it?
- 1:08:29Fair share of opportunities as a professional NFL player.
- 1:08:33What, what, what drugs are you on?
- 1:08:35What fair share are you going to get?
- 1:08:37You're the good or you're not. That's it.
- 1:08:39And Shiloh wasn't good. And we're going to see if Shidor
- 1:08:42is any good. And I'm going to tell you this
- 1:08:44right now, Shidor, you're going to go.
- 1:08:46You're going to have an opportunity to play in some in
- 1:08:48front of some of the the craziest fans in the NFL.
- 1:08:51If you're good, you're good. If you're bad, boy oh boy,
- 1:08:55they're going to chop your effing head off.
- 1:08:56Ask Baker Mayfield, ask Baker Mayfield's wife what the fans
- 1:09:01did to them when things started falling for the Mayfield family.
- 1:09:05So it doesn't really work. If you're playing well, they're
- 1:09:08going to love you and you're playing like crap.
- 1:09:10Are you opening your mouth and doing stupid things?
- 1:09:12You're going to put yourself in a bad situation.
- 1:09:14So I'm interested to see how Shidor Sanders is going to
- 1:09:17handle the fans over there in Cleveland.
- 1:09:20And they're great fans, by the way.
- 1:09:22Great. It's a great city, a great
- 1:09:24sports city. So I'm very interested to
- 1:09:26interested to see the Shidor Shidor's, you know, personality
- 1:09:30being brought out when he does become and, you know, get it
- 1:09:33steps on an NFL football field as a professional football
- 1:09:36player. So very interesting story.
- 1:09:38All right, before we get our guest in, we have our golf clap
- 1:09:42of the day. This deserves a golf clap.
- 1:09:46No doubt. Golf clap.
- 1:09:47Golf clap. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:09:51my Golf Club of the day goes to Donald Trump, as Donald Trump
- 1:09:55has come out over the last 24 hours and said that Roger
- 1:10:00Clemens, yes, the one and only the Rocket should be a Hall of
- 1:10:04Famer. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the
- 1:10:06guy that has 354 wins of 3.12 ERA and yes, 4672 strikeouts in
- 1:10:17his career. Yes, Donald Trump has come out
- 1:10:20and said that this guy is absolutely a first ballot Hall
- 1:10:23of Famer. What does that tell you, ladies
- 1:10:25and gentlemen, when the President of the United States
- 1:10:27is coming out and telling everybody that Roger Clemens
- 1:10:30should be in the Hall of Fame? It means absolutely nothing.
- 1:10:35I love you, Donald, but let's be honest, Donald Trump could say
- 1:10:39whatever he wants unless he's going to find a way to get Roger
- 1:10:42Clemens, Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez and all the other guys
- 1:10:45who were doing HDH and and steroids into the Hall of Fame.
- 1:10:49This guy's going to be sitting and backtracking or figuring out
- 1:10:52why he is not in the Hall of Fame.
- 1:10:55So my golf clap of the day goes to Donald Trump.
- 1:10:57He's trying to get some trying to get Mr. Roger Clemens into
- 1:11:00the Hall of Fame, but it's not going to work as far as the
- 1:11:03baseball riders are concerned. So my golf clap of the day goes
- 1:11:06to Donald Trump trying to get the one and only rocket into the
- 1:11:10Hall of Fame. Thank you to all the fans on all
- 1:11:12the social media from Spotify and Apple and Spotify and Apple

- 1:11:44always are. But Speedy, let me ask you a
- 1:11:46question before we go. There we go.
- 1:11:49When was the last time you washed that hat?
- 1:11:52Washed the hat? Yeah, clean that hat.
- 1:11:54I mean, look at look at the dust on that hat.
- 1:11:57It looks like he put it in his. It is pretty dusty.
- 1:11:59It is one of the ugly. Going to say since never.
- 1:12:02He never cleaned that hat, man. It looks like he stuck it in
- 1:12:05like a dryer or something. I don't know.
- 1:12:07It's pretty dusty. It's bad, it's bad.
- 1:12:09I got to clean it up. Anyways, we'll be back on
- 1:12:12Wednesday. Who do we have on the show?
- 1:12:13945 another son of a sibling, I guess you could say, of a former
- 1:12:18baseball player, Jayden Fielder will be coming on, who was the
- 1:12:20son of Prince Fielder and the grandson of Cecil.
- 1:12:22Fielder 3rd generation coming on a show and Cecil Fielder, one of
- 1:12:27the greatest power hitters of the 80s and.
- 1:12:29And now you look at Prince. Prince was a pretty good power
- 1:12:32hitter, too, and. The amount of home runs, yeah,
- 1:12:34my favorites that ever. Great story and looking forward
- 1:12:37to getting him on the show and, and, and thank you to Nathan for
- 1:12:40getting him on the show as well. So and thank you to Nathan for
- 1:12:42Lindsay getting and, and reaching out to her and getting
- 1:12:45her on the show as well. We will be back on Wednesday.
- 1:12:48Until then, this is Errol, Jabba, Speedy and the boys
- 1:12:53saying good night and we'll talk to you then.
- 1:12:54Good night everybody. Worldwide Sports Radio Network.
- 1:12:58Java takes it up the ass.
