This year, we’re turning clocks back earlier than ever—daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 1st, giving us more morning light. It’s the earliest possible date under federal law, which dates back to 2005. Standard time will last until March 14th next year. Meanwhile, the push for permanent daylight saving time is gaining steam: a bill has passed the House, and 19 states have already pledged to adopt it if Congress approves.
