- 0:01Speaker 1: We didn't want didn't We didn't want any of that
- 0:03Speaker 1: recorded anyway.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was going to say something.
- 0:05Speaker 3: We didn't know.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I was going to say something shitty, but I thought
- 0:08Speaker 2: you were already recording, so I did, And now I.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Should welcome listener. Let's hear Aaron be shitty. Absolutely not
- 0:16Speaker 3: on the LUNI is part of the Odd Pods media network.
- 0:40Speaker 2: What I wasn't going to be shitty to Eddie and
- 0:43Speaker 2: now we're recording, so I'm usually shitty to Eddie. Ye.
- 0:47Speaker 2: People actually think we hate each other. Small group that
- 0:50Speaker 2: don't know as well. I think we hate each other
- 0:52Speaker 2: and I love it.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 3: No, the other week we had to start recording because
- 0:58Speaker 3: she banged her knee and we had to capture all
- 0:59Speaker 3: the noise that she was making.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Any good.
- 1:03Speaker 2: The older and fatter I get, the more I'm like
- 1:05Speaker 2: Peter Griffin.
- 1:06Speaker 5: So we have a proper celebrity on this proper celebrity.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Bitch. You went on TV. Yeah, I mean two decades
- 1:24Speaker 3: ago you made movies where you was a porn star.
- 1:29Speaker 1: That's well, that was my own movie that.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Was so funny, O, thank you.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It almost became something.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It was so good.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That mean, tell us the story. Yeah, by the way,
- 1:40Speaker 3: this is Edie everyone.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Hey, hey guys, that's Tuck Johnson, professional porn star. Back
- 1:46Speaker 1: in the early two thousand and two thousands, I was
- 1:50Speaker 1: the aughts. Back then, you had to film in order
- 1:52Speaker 1: to get on Centta Live. You had to film a
- 1:54Speaker 1: submission reel with characters and that right now you just
- 1:58Speaker 1: become Now you just do take talk videos and you
- 2:00Speaker 1: get on a some I'm not bitter. And so what
- 2:03Speaker 1: happened was I had made, I had invented. I can't
- 2:07Speaker 1: with all these characters to submit. I want them was
- 2:09Speaker 1: Tuck Johnson, amateur porn star. So it was like this
- 2:11Speaker 1: two minute clip of it was just me dressed like
- 2:14Speaker 1: up with a mustache, and I'm just like, I'm like
- 2:16Speaker 1: on set and I'm getting Gary shoot the scene and
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm just very self conscious. I'm very like, hey, guys,
- 2:22Speaker 1: can we just you know, maybe do it under the covers.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We just do under the covers. That cool. Like it
- 2:26Speaker 1: was just sort of like we have to have all
- 2:28Speaker 1: these lights on, Like it was just him, this self
- 2:31Speaker 1: conscious porn star.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Like he did at Yeah, that's.
- 2:34Speaker 1: What that was. And then my buddy I didn't obviously
- 2:38Speaker 1: it wasn't on SNL. But I put it on. I
- 2:40Speaker 1: just buying, so if you and Wicked, thank you. So
- 2:49Speaker 1: I put it on because if you kids remember my Space. Yes,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I put it on my Space for MySpace comedy and
- 2:56Speaker 1: it blew up and got like a million views and
- 2:57Speaker 1: it was like on the front page of my Space
- 2:59Speaker 1: for bo and my buddy at the time, he's still
- 3:04Speaker 1: my Buddies my entertainment Jeff Cohen Chunk from Goonies, m hm,
- 3:08Speaker 1: he had seen it and he's like, oh, hey, that's funny.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, yeah, I'm thinking. He's like, we should
- 3:12Speaker 1: make that into it, we should develop that into some
- 3:14Speaker 1: sort of concept or something, and like, so, okay, So
- 3:15Speaker 1: I got this idea of what if I just take
- 3:18Speaker 1: Spinal Tap and Boogie Nights and make a movie Like
- 3:22Speaker 1: that's the that's the concept of the idea. It's spinal Tap.
- 3:25Speaker 3: You even got someone from Spinal Tap in your movie?
- 3:28Speaker 1: Yeah, that's crazy. I wrote the script. So it's basically
- 3:32Speaker 1: a shot for shot remake us the original Spinal Tap.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But it's in the vein of porn star right, a
- 3:39Speaker 1: porn start of trying to make a or trying to
- 3:40Speaker 1: stay relevant, like Spinal Tap yeah, and so I had
- 3:45Speaker 1: gotten this. I had all these other I knew Wendy
- 3:47Speaker 1: Mclinton Covey because we had the same agent at the time.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I knew a bunch of the other improvisers on there,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and so they all agreed to do it for free,
- 3:53Speaker 1: to shoot the concept, the proof of concept video. And
- 3:55Speaker 1: we we wanted like one person from Spinal Tap in
- 3:59Speaker 1: there just as like homage to it, and we were
- 4:02Speaker 1: able to get at Bigley Junior, and so he came
- 4:04Speaker 1: in and he was the the Rob Reiner character from
- 4:07Speaker 1: Spinal Tap, he was the documentarian, and so he came in,
- 4:11Speaker 1: agreed to do it. We shot this whole thing in
- 4:12Speaker 1: a day. Everyone worked for free because everyone the concept.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It was. It was all one day. We shot a
- 4:17Speaker 1: fifteen minute proof of concept, started shopping around. Some film
- 4:20Speaker 1: companies looked at it. They were they liked it, but
- 4:22Speaker 1: at the same time, it was the problem was it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I had finished it right around the latter part of
- 4:28Speaker 1: two thousand and eight, before the massive economic collapse. Yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 1: you guys recall the fall of two thousand and eight,
- 4:34Speaker 1: So no film companies were, no independent film companies, smaller
- 4:37Speaker 1: film companies were doing anything. They just they got cold
- 4:40Speaker 1: feet and they just shut everything down. So it kind
- 4:42Speaker 1: of sat there. And then I think that's the problem
- 4:44Speaker 1: with Hollywood. If something comes in and sits for two seconds,
- 4:46Speaker 1: it's old and people move on from it. Right, So
- 4:49Speaker 1: two years later I re reconceptualized the ideas. Now it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: Reno nine to one one meets Bookie Nights, so that's
- 4:57Speaker 1: a TV show instead of a movie. So I write
- 5:00Speaker 1: up the pitch for that, and then I had a
- 5:02Speaker 1: friend a connection at Comedy Central, So I get over
- 5:04Speaker 1: Comedy Central and it's over there for like it's usually
- 5:07Speaker 1: you hear back in like two days now. They don't
- 5:09Speaker 1: want it, and this was like a week and a
- 5:10Speaker 1: half had gone by, and I'm like, oh, so I'm
- 5:12Speaker 1: heard anything. So I'm talking to my guys like He's like,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I think they like it. I think they're like and
- 5:17Speaker 1: so they started sending it around right, and then it's
- 5:19Speaker 1: like two and a half weeks go by and I
- 5:21Speaker 1: goes like this good. He is a good this is
- 5:22Speaker 1: really good. They're trying to get to everybody in the office.
- 5:24Speaker 1: They want everyone to see this. I'm like, awesome. And
- 5:27Speaker 1: then like three weeks come and I get phone call.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He's like yeah, they're going to pass. I'm like, what
- 5:31Speaker 1: what you just said? Everyone liked it's but been there
- 5:32Speaker 1: for like three weeks. Why they passing? And then they like,
- 5:35Speaker 1: well the big nose. They think it's a better as
- 5:36Speaker 1: a movie.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I can do that.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's a movie.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It's already. Let me dial it back to that old format. Hold.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, So it was just it just kept going around
- 5:48Speaker 1: and people liked it, and then it just eventually, like
- 5:50Speaker 1: with everything just fizzles away.
- 5:52Speaker 3: We should put a plug for that in the notes,
- 5:53Speaker 3: because I think people should watch.
- 5:55Speaker 2: It's really fun.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Oh thank you? Yeah, tell my YouTube. You can check
- 5:58Speaker 1: it out on my YouTube page.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Okay, I cannot tell you how often I do a
- 6:04Speaker 2: couple of your comedy skits to bits to other people,
- 6:08Speaker 2: but like poorly because I'm like, Eddie does this so
- 6:11Speaker 2: much better. But here's the gist and why you should listen,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and I did. There's there's two, there's the half assed magic.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Oh thanks, yeah, I love that so much. And then obviously,
- 6:24Speaker 2: as a Star Wars fan, the deck officer, hell yeah.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Don't you like whip your head around?
- 6:35Speaker 2: I can't even watch regular Star Wars like my mom
- 6:38Speaker 2: and dad decided this year to watch Star Wars on
- 6:42Speaker 2: May the fourth, Like that's all they just wanted to.
- 6:44Speaker 1: They were like, let's watch original trilogy.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, straight through. It was a long day. That's a
- 6:50Speaker 2: long day. They might come on this show by the way.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Oh gosh, I'm running so scared. Anyway, we watched it
- 7:01Speaker 2: and it gets to that scene and my mom's like,
- 7:04Speaker 2: oh oh oh, this was this is where Eddie is
- 7:06Speaker 2: like comedy bit would fit in if it was like
- 7:08Speaker 2: part of the movie. And I was like, fuck, I've
- 7:10Speaker 2: talked about it too much.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Oh you have someone's mom.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Quoting you, Eddie. You've made my mom has secretly, I
- 7:19Speaker 2: really hoped that like Eddie would be in my life,
- 7:23Speaker 2: like forever and moving up here without ever meeting them.
- 7:29Speaker 2: My mom is more obsessed with the Penn's family than
- 7:32Speaker 2: any of us are. It is bizarre, the blind faith
- 7:36Speaker 2: and love that this woman has for someone she's never met.
- 7:41Speaker 4: You promote them so well.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yes, but the other two people the Penn's family are
- 7:45Speaker 1: very good people at this one. But the other two
- 7:48Speaker 1: are great.
- 7:49Speaker 3: The algorithm brought you up for me today with your
- 7:52Speaker 3: vasectomy bit where it was like, oh, fucking got me
- 7:57Speaker 3: so hard, And your Dad's like my dad's more punk
- 8:04Speaker 3: ride than you breaking.
- 8:06Speaker 1: To keep going a cup of coffee from home?
- 8:12Speaker 2: Is that part? Is that one part of the home
- 8:15Speaker 2: depot thing where he's in the road.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, oh god, But that's like now. It doesn't
- 8:20Speaker 1: ring as true now because everyone has those portable thermoces
- 8:23Speaker 1: that they take those coffee families. Back in the eighties,
- 8:26Speaker 1: my dad would literally take a coffee mug and go
- 8:29Speaker 1: driving the car, driving the car with a coffee mug
- 8:32Speaker 1: and walk around home depot or back then it was
- 8:34Speaker 1: called hackingers with a coffee mug.
- 8:37Speaker 2: What year were you born?
- 8:39Speaker 1: I don't even know before. No, I'm a child of
- 8:41Speaker 1: the eighties.
- 8:42Speaker 2: We're not that far apart in age, so I just
- 8:45Speaker 2: don't know that brand name.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I think it was the East Coast might have been
- 8:48Speaker 1: East Coast Place, might have been East Coast Store.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And I came. I came when I was pretty young
- 8:53Speaker 2: because I'm I'm a Pittsburgh baby. Obviously. That's why tomorrow
- 8:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna watch this Tomorrow, I won't be why do anything,
- 9:00Speaker 2: because it's probably like November, if I'm being honest, But
- 9:04Speaker 2: what did.
- 9:05Speaker 4: You call it yesterday? No, you're gonna watch I'm not
- 9:11Speaker 4: the football game.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I had to go to my parents' house. We're gonna
- 9:15Speaker 2: watch the video game.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Anybody's like the video game?
- 9:19Speaker 2: What I was like? Steelers, It's I mean, I look,
- 9:23Speaker 2: there's no spoiler mobile. Yeah. Look, we filmed this show
- 9:29Speaker 2: the way soap opera stare so behind the veil everybody recording.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Tomorrow is the first real season game for the Steelers.
- 9:37Speaker 2: But yes, we've probably already lost. We've probably already lost,
- 9:43Speaker 2: and I have no hopes at playoffs by the time
- 9:46Speaker 2: you're listening to this, guys speaking.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Of football, I have to admit a this this is
- 9:51Speaker 3: maybe four years ago today, years old for me. The
- 9:55Speaker 3: Washington team, the Commanders, I thought they were in Washington
- 9:59Speaker 3: State for long.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I've gotten that before from people like what do you
- 10:02Speaker 1: really hear from you say, you're from Virginia. Why do
- 10:03Speaker 1: you cheer for the Washington Yeah, they're like twenty minutes
- 10:08Speaker 1: from my house when I was a kid.
- 10:10Speaker 3: And it's like they have a they haven't or they
- 10:13Speaker 3: had a Native American mascot. Yes, I thought that was
- 10:17Speaker 3: more of the region of Washington State. I didn't know
- 10:19Speaker 3: that was the natives.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Live there too. Before we push them all well, yes,
- 10:25Speaker 1: originally oiler, so that's why.
- 10:28Speaker 3: I was like, oh DC, oh okay, Well on the.
- 10:32Speaker 1: River, the big river is called the Potomac. That's a
- 10:34Speaker 1: Native American.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Thank you their Native American names. I love when people
- 10:39Speaker 2: try to say will Lammett because it's spelled wilhelmet well,
- 10:43Speaker 2: and so people get up and they're like, oh, I
- 10:45Speaker 2: was in the Wilhelmette Valley, And I'm like, do you
- 10:47Speaker 2: mean to lammet it? Because we literally say it awful
- 10:50Speaker 2: and perfect?
- 10:50Speaker 3: What about Clamus?
- 10:53Speaker 2: All town names that right by me?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah, they can't even agree if it's Oregon or We're Gone, So.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like Nevada Nevada. But they get mad about it, like,
- 11:06Speaker 1: calm down.
- 11:08Speaker 3: You have you gotten booed at Brad Garrett's comedy club
- 11:11Speaker 3: for saying it wrong?
- 11:12Speaker 1: No? I I purposely know how to say it right.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Have learned. Nevada.
- 11:17Speaker 2: The last time I saw you live and in person
- 11:21Speaker 2: doing a show, your opener was someone that's no offense,
- 11:27Speaker 2: much more famous than you, and I thought it was
- 11:30Speaker 2: hilarious because it was the guy from God. It was
- 11:34Speaker 2: Mike and Molly, And now he's on Bob Hart's Abashola
- 11:37Speaker 2: or something and he's so skinny. Now it's like, oh,
- 11:40Speaker 2: Billy Gardell, Yeah he opened for you.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I did, yeah, open before me?
- 11:47Speaker 3: Is that not considered opening?
- 11:49Speaker 2: No?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Not in LA, because it's a comedy In LA. In
- 11:53Speaker 1: New York is like this, every show is called a
- 11:55Speaker 1: showcase show where everyone does Like a lineup is like
- 11:58Speaker 1: usually like anywhere from like five ten comics, everyone doing
- 12:01Speaker 1: like ten to ten to fifteen twenty minutes each. So's
- 12:05Speaker 1: if you're going the road, you go to a comedy club,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you see a host, a feature in a headliner, then
- 12:09Speaker 1: you could say, whoever goes before me opens for me.
- 12:11Speaker 1: In LA, show they just go before.
- 12:14Speaker 3: He's got to get them happy.
- 12:17Speaker 1: I'm just going last.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Look, I'm still telling people that Billy Headline opened for you. Yeah, Okay,
- 12:23Speaker 2: people don't know. They don't know.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I guess not. Yeah. Actually, in LA, you'd rather go
- 12:27Speaker 1: up early than late because people.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Leave, so leave after they've paid for a ticket.
- 12:34Speaker 1: Hey, people leave.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I don't think you've been to some of the comedy shows.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I have something.
- 12:38Speaker 1: You want to be in the middle of the lineup
- 12:40Speaker 1: in LA because it's the sweet spot, oh god, because
- 12:45Speaker 1: you go towards the end. If you're the last comic.
- 12:46Speaker 1: You're getting the check drop and that's the worst part.
- 12:49Speaker 3: You don't want that is distracting.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yet you don't want to go.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Last, especially at Flappers. The check djob at Flappers.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Is they change it. It's all all digital now.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Oh is it better now? As as as you know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: I don't live.
- 13:05Speaker 3: There, I don't know that it's better.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Well, I have to tell you so. Friend of the show, Pertle,
- 13:09Speaker 2: this is just real quick back to us being old
- 13:11Speaker 2: or whatever and and on the vein of the Native American.
- 13:17Speaker 2: She sent me a clip the other day saying that
- 13:19Speaker 2: gen Z is they're thinking of starting to call gen
- 13:22Speaker 2: Z the Christopher Columbus generation because they think they've discovered
- 13:26Speaker 2: everything and created so much.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Like because they directed missus Doubtfi.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Anyway, Yeah, that's my story.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we were with gen Y. We got
- 13:42Speaker 3: renamed millennial Eddie. I assume your gen X because you
- 13:46Speaker 3: can't wait for the meteor to hit killer the sweet
- 13:49Speaker 3: release of.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Death as we were the Oregon Trail. Oh. Yeah, they
- 13:58Speaker 2: called us that brief flee us like geriatric millennials. Because
- 14:02Speaker 2: I'm eighty guide of this, I'm on the cusp of X.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I don't really belong anywhere. Technically, if you look on
- 14:08Speaker 2: most websites, eighty one and forward as millennials and seventy
- 14:12Speaker 2: nine is like eighty doesn't exist in a lot of
- 14:15Speaker 2: the online Like the school guys, I'm not really even here.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Well, the eighty four were really in the middle. Like
- 14:25Speaker 4: it's sometimes it's hard to relate to.
- 14:27Speaker 3: The elderly younger millennials.
- 14:31Speaker 4: There's definitely a large rain.
- 14:33Speaker 3: I remember when we got the internet.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Well, so much happened in the millennial generation where you
- 14:38Speaker 1: guys were like at the beginning of like sort of
- 14:40Speaker 1: the digital age, and then it yeah, completely Like.
- 14:44Speaker 3: We got internet at my house when I was thirteen,
- 14:46Speaker 3: so it was like broomed.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I didn't have internet college, right, I didn't have an
- 14:52Speaker 1: email address until I graduated college.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I pretended to like a girl in my school because
- 14:57Speaker 2: she had AOL and we didn't high school, I literally,
- 15:02Speaker 2: But then I became like super good friends with her sister.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, aim, but yeah, we wanted to go scam
- 15:10Speaker 2: on boys online and.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so age tex location check things.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Young people don't chat.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Rooms where the Wild West.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, man, I learned a lot.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I dipped into the chat rooms every once in
- 15:25Speaker 1: a while.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I used to go to one that was called lay
- 15:27Speaker 2: Hotel Chat and there were not there were non sexy rooms,
- 15:30Speaker 2: but there were also some sexy room. I learned a
- 15:33Speaker 2: lot of things. I learned a lot early on, and
- 15:36Speaker 2: not a lot of kinks at like sixteen seventeen, and
- 15:39Speaker 2: I was like, oh, I'm not I'm not judging you.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I'm just so curious why you want to talk about this, sir.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But I didn't have that because that had I had,
- 15:50Speaker 1: he was already like twenty two. Yet I was kind
- 15:54Speaker 1: of already into life. When I was like sixteen or seventeen,
- 15:57Speaker 1: still stuck at home, I would have been in the
- 15:59Speaker 1: chat rooms. Oh yeah, you.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Didn't miss much.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Left left hand on the mouse, right hand on your junk, yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 3: or oh no, you're left handed, never mind the other
- 16:09Speaker 3: way right.
- 16:12Speaker 2: It's like you're it's like you're cheating on yourself when
- 16:15Speaker 2: you use in hand.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Or you do this do the stranger? What did he
- 16:21Speaker 3: tell you?
- 16:22Speaker 5: That's how he does it?
- 16:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so a boy share with the other.
- 16:26Speaker 3: So I touched myself.
- 16:28Speaker 2: What do you do now? I have an uncomfortable visual
- 16:32Speaker 2: image of my dead friend.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Thank you for the stranger jerking and anything else?
- 16:36Speaker 4: You want a claw that?
- 16:40Speaker 3: Why would you make that would work?
- 16:43Speaker 1: There's not enough friction?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Yeah, what did you give a bad hand job when
- 16:47Speaker 3: you were younger?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Christ?
- 16:50Speaker 2: That is happening right now with your handy.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You can't get enough friction or pressure that way.
- 16:56Speaker 2: My husband just what your husband does?
- 17:00Speaker 1: Does that? How?
- 17:03Speaker 2: How? I don't?
- 17:06Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Its going to make you very arthritic after a while, Like, yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 3: You'd cramp.
- 17:15Speaker 6: Club beat up the toy story, bye, my friend.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Well, Kristen broke eron, guys.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I guess you can catch it right away, right, you're
- 17:36Speaker 1: your own reskin. It doesn't go anywhere, sort of a
- 17:41Speaker 1: cap on the oil.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Well, you know what I want? A palm full of comb.
- 17:44Speaker 2: That's what I was like, you know what I need today?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Full of com Eric this episode?
- 17:54Speaker 2: Oh shit, all right, let's talk about the episode please.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Okay, enough fooling around with Edwin, whose name I I
- 18:04Speaker 3: tried to say Eddar last time I saw him in person.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I don't know why my mouth's at edter editter. He's like,
- 18:09Speaker 3: my name's Edwin, and I was like, I know that,
- 18:11Speaker 3: but apparently my mouth doesn't.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Talk about Season two.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Episode sixteen, what and then there was one.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It's called Oh someone Die Maybe Eddie.
- 18:25Speaker 3: The original air date January thirty first, nineteen eighty seven.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Director was Terry Hughes, writer was Russell Marcus. So Now
- 18:33Speaker 3: based on the title and then there was one Eddie
- 18:36Speaker 3: and Kristen, please tell us what you think the episode
- 18:38Speaker 3: is about, and feel free to make up.
- 18:43Speaker 1: While obviously they're all fighting over a social security check, right.
- 18:46Speaker 3: They're all, Oh, it's like a belt match where they
- 18:50Speaker 3: put the.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Latter and they hang it above you. They hang it
- 18:53Speaker 1: in on the roof, and they have a title, they
- 18:55Speaker 1: have a ladder and they just fight to the death.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but the social already checked.
- 19:01Speaker 3: You need to write new episodes.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I've been trying to get Eddie to do something creative
- 19:06Speaker 2: with me for a very long time, and I will
- 19:09Speaker 2: keep pushing him on that front till I die or
- 19:12Speaker 2: one of us.
- 19:13Speaker 3: As soon as the sun can drive, he'll be free
- 19:15Speaker 3: a little bit more.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. He's only got one more year
- 19:18Speaker 1: with us than he's going to college.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Wait, is he ahead of things then?
- 19:23Speaker 1: Right, he's a junior, so he's got this year. Then
- 19:26Speaker 1: I guess next year. But it seems like it's going
- 19:27Speaker 1: by so fast.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Seems like I found a picture of him back in
- 19:32Speaker 2: the day. We were standing outside improv with Tim Ridley
- 19:37Speaker 2: and his wife who had thrown in from Australia, and.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I think he was like like twenty nineteen.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I think seven eight. In the picture he was little.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Oh well, he was probably he was either nine or ten.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I think it was nine maybe ten.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It was pre COVID.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Do you know when he was born? Were you there?
- 19:54Speaker 1: I was, but it's a blur.
- 19:57Speaker 2: That's okay, I don't.
- 20:00Speaker 1: That was he's ten years old.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Crazy and now he's like as tall as you.
- 20:05Speaker 1: He shut up almost. He's a He's a man.
- 20:08Speaker 3: He's a man. Christian, what do you think this episode
- 20:11Speaker 3: will be about?
- 20:13Speaker 1: She's cheating?
- 20:15Speaker 3: No, No, he's reading.
- 20:16Speaker 4: She's reading at the title.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Wait till she starts taking notes while we're watching the episode.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Christian, does your shirts keep it cheesy? By the way, Yes,
- 20:25Speaker 3: that's amazing.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Yeah shirt, yeah.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Wow. We can't all have a Myrtle Beach original on.
- 20:34Speaker 3: But her shirt is very oh.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Okay, marked for the show. Nice.
- 20:39Speaker 4: And then there was one they're gonna play. I can't
- 20:42Speaker 4: think of the name of the game. Now where you
- 20:44Speaker 4: sit in the chairs musical chairs, musical chair musical chairs.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Wow, and this is the lady throwing shade when I
- 20:52Speaker 2: accidentally said video game instead of football.
- 20:55Speaker 1: The two elements of the game are the title of
- 20:57Speaker 1: the game.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, they're gonna play musical chairs.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Alright now, Kristin and Eddie, can you please decide which
- 21:05Speaker 3: of the four girls will be the villain and will
- 21:08Speaker 3: have to paint them as they.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Blanche?
- 21:18Speaker 1: So it might be that might be the obvious one,
- 21:20Speaker 1: but I'm still gonna go Blanche.
- 21:21Speaker 2: They almost the guest, and Kristin almost always pick someone
- 21:25Speaker 2: that I'm success was very rarely.
- 21:30Speaker 4: She's really good at villainizing people.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Watch out, Eddie.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I say nice, sweet, touching things to Eddie that no
- 21:39Speaker 2: one ever hears all the time, and he.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Leaves you on Red.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Oh no no.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Not like some of the people have asked to be
- 21:49Speaker 2: guests on our show. Those people believe me on Red.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Thank you Eddie for not doing that.
- 21:56Speaker 1: No, I have screenshots of everything.
- 22:00Speaker 3: In case he gets accused of something later.
- 22:02Speaker 2: His name he learned from Yes four, so later he
- 22:04Speaker 2: can be like, no, guys, look, Aaron really likes me.
- 22:08Speaker 2: She's lying. She doesn't want to ship on my mouth.
- 22:11Speaker 7: At all.
- 22:12Speaker 2: She's a nice person. No, I send Eddie terrible comedy
- 22:17Speaker 2: things late at night when I'm high.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Also, well, you get the ideas? Are they voice messages?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Yes?
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you're welcome.
- 22:27Speaker 3: I love when she right here like period, Like she
- 22:29Speaker 3: thinks she's dictating to the phone, but she says it
- 22:32Speaker 3: period to the.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Voicemail period explanation.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Point, I believe it or not. I try to listen
- 22:37Speaker 2: to the ones I send Eddie first. Do you guys
- 22:40Speaker 2: get unedited?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Oh, I get a first.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I just listened to make sure I don't say things
- 22:47Speaker 2: like period, so that he doesn't stop respecting me entirely.
- 22:51Speaker 4: He gets responses from us like are you having a stroke?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Are you high? Are you okay?
- 22:59Speaker 3: Nam make him laugh? Comedians need like I need weird
- 23:02Speaker 3: ship to make him laugh, right.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I trust that, you guys.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's like being a porn star. You need weird shit
- 23:07Speaker 3: now right.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Well, yeah, it's such a part.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I trust that he's going to filter through and if
- 23:14Speaker 2: there's something funny there, he'll respond, and if not, he'll
- 23:16Speaker 2: just politely pretend like it didn't happen. It'll just hang
- 23:20Speaker 2: there in the air.
- 23:21Speaker 1: It's like, and I can't make this underread how do
- 23:23Speaker 1: you make that?
- 23:25Speaker 2: A couple of times I've said that bad huh, because
- 23:28Speaker 2: I know because I go back in the next day. Anyway,
- 23:30Speaker 2: let's not shit on Aaron's terrible comedy styling.
- 23:33Speaker 3: We love you, Aaron.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Let's let's take a break. We're gonna listen to our sponsors.
- 23:38Speaker 2: They're awesome, probably I don't know who they are yet,
- 23:41Speaker 2: and then we're going to watch the episode.
- 23:46Speaker 7: Hey, Jeff, Yeah, Jeff. Remember yesterday I was telling you
- 23:49Speaker 7: how I wished I could have seen one of Billy
- 23:50Speaker 7: Joel's sold out shows at Madison Square Garden.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I said, you should go see Taylor Swift instead. She's
- 23:57Speaker 1: the modern day Billy Joel.
- 23:58Speaker 7: Well, today my phone said I should read an interview
- 24:00Speaker 7: with Billy Joel where he talks about both retirement and
- 24:03Speaker 7: Taylor Swift.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Till Man, it's always so creepy when that happens.
- 24:07Speaker 7: We should do a podcast about how our devices are
- 24:10Speaker 7: always listening to us.
- 24:11Speaker 1: We already do. It's called suggested articles.
- 24:14Speaker 7: A podcast we.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Talk about how technology is always spying on us and
- 24:17Speaker 4: how those tech corporations are such big buttholes.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Dude, you can't say buttholes on a podcast. Promo.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Dude, we already did twice.
- 24:25Speaker 7: Join us every other Monday on suggested articles, the podcast
- 24:29Speaker 7: on your favorite podcast app, part.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Of the Odd PUDs Media Network.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Welcome Back. We just watched an episode.
- 24:37Speaker 2: I was riveted by it.
- 24:39Speaker 3: It was very robe heavy, Aaron.
- 24:42Speaker 1: A lot of mourning, a lot of mourning.
- 24:44Speaker 2: So many robes.
- 24:45Speaker 1: They did two mornings, two different mornings we saw.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Yeah, they and they have different robes like every episode.
- 24:52Speaker 1: It's like, how do you they have to have like
- 24:54Speaker 1: a whole like shed in the backyard just for.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Robes percent of their wardrobe?
- 25:00Speaker 3: I would do you don own one? Maybe two if
- 25:03Speaker 3: it's in the laundry.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Especially in Florida, right right?
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah, old people get cold easy, Eddie.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so humid, then just open the window. So humid
- 25:14Speaker 1: in Florida, you.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Can't open the window because their hair will melt, that's true,
- 25:20Speaker 2: from the humid.
- 25:21Speaker 1: It can't set their hair.
- 25:23Speaker 3: I think of Betty White's hair.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Oh heavens. All right, Well, anyone have anything they want
- 25:30Speaker 2: to talk about? And Eddie was I think you mentioned
- 25:33Speaker 2: you thought maybe Blanche was going to drown the baby
- 25:35Speaker 2: at one point.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I thought so, I thought that's where it was headed.
- 25:39Speaker 1: And then they would have to get rid of the
- 25:41Speaker 1: baby corpse, so Plance wouldn't get arrested.
- 25:44Speaker 3: That's that's what you honestly thought. You remember watching as a.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Child was going to happen, and then they all got
- 25:51Speaker 4: arrested except for one of them, and that was the only.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Which one would be not a Rose Rose would have been.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I wasn't involved, So yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 1: We can't. We can't put a mentally handicapped person in prison.
- 26:07Speaker 2: But you throws. Yeah, they're like, she's too we can't
- 26:10Speaker 2: do that. Yeah, yeah, that's fair, that's fair. Well, I
- 26:15Speaker 2: know that one of the members of our show is
- 26:18Speaker 2: very competitive, but I know that Eddie is not.
- 26:23Speaker 3: No, Eddie does a quiz every week.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah competitive, Well I asked him and I said, hey,
- 26:30Speaker 2: how's this going to go.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I'm not a not super competitive.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I'm competitive, but at the end, if I don't win,
- 26:38Speaker 4: it's not a big deal. I just enjoyed the competition.
- 26:40Speaker 3: During the I beat her twice, Eddie, and I think
- 26:45Speaker 3: she's losing her mind.
- 26:46Speaker 2: My friend twice ever, and then my friend Weslie, who
- 26:51Speaker 2: is a newscaster up here in the Portland area. She
- 26:55Speaker 2: was so aggressively competitive against Kristen it was. It was concerning,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and also she didn't when you when we get to
- 27:05Speaker 2: this in a second, your name is your buzzer, so
- 27:07Speaker 2: you're just gonna be like and I'll be like, okay,
- 27:10Speaker 2: here's your quite.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Decided you have to have two syllables, so it's Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Yes. The two syllable rule was because Kristen felt one
- 27:22Speaker 2: of our guests name was too short and he had
- 27:24Speaker 2: an advantage. Yeah, anyway, but Wesley was waving her arms
- 27:29Speaker 2: like a muppet, and we were like, Hi, I'm reading,
- 27:32Speaker 2: I can't see you muppet waves. Say your name anyway.
- 27:37Speaker 2: So we're just gonna jump in the heir of the
- 27:40Speaker 2: very difficult Did you take any notes?
- 27:43Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, me, I refused to.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Oh, I can't wait for this. Then I made some
- 27:48Speaker 2: of them extra hard because I anticipated.
- 27:51Speaker 3: That Eddie Antelope.
- 27:54Speaker 2: For what I'm asking of you guys, for this quiz,
- 27:57Speaker 2: I'm eliciting a potential response.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I'm excited, all right.
- 28:02Speaker 2: So let's just start at the beginning. We've heard it thrice,
- 28:06Speaker 2: but once more with feeling what is Sophia eating At
- 28:10Speaker 2: the beginning of the episode, I think I don't.
- 28:15Speaker 3: You don't have to say, Eddie, Eddie.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Eddie, Eddie, I don't even know you all said it.
- 28:19Speaker 2: It was Kristy staggered. Yes, Kristy, go ahead, Linguini clam sauce, yes, yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 2: all right, that you like it, Eddie.
- 28:29Speaker 4: No, I love clam sauce.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Cape point for Chris.
- 28:33Speaker 3: But you do like spaghetti.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I like spaghetti, just not clam sauce, just.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Like a red sauce.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what unusual place in a prior episode? Did
- 28:44Speaker 2: Sophia have her clam.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Sauce Gina, Yes, in her suitcase? Yes, oh that's not
- 28:52Speaker 3: but Eddie wouldn't know that. That's not fair.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Well, Eddie, you're not listening other episodes about other episodes. Okay,
- 29:02Speaker 2: it's fine, fine, Yes, and the reason that clam sauce
- 29:05Speaker 2: was in her suitcase? I guess we'll just fill Eddie and.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Ask him about Cobra commander was there?
- 29:10Speaker 2: We go hig.
- 29:13Speaker 3: It.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Phil's wife does not cook, so she was taking clams. Okay, yes, fine,
- 29:20Speaker 2: we'll just we'll just stick to the actual questions.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Season three you want to ask while we're doing this.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Yeah, we haven't watched.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Season three yet.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Yeah, that was even the playing Field.
- 29:32Speaker 2: It's not my fault that you haven't watched the show
- 29:35Speaker 2: in forty years. Eddie. That's all right, here we go.
- 29:40Speaker 2: What did Rose sign the girls up to do for
- 29:43Speaker 2: the walk?
- 29:44Speaker 7: Eddie?
- 29:45Speaker 3: I think that was Eddie.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I think Eddie was first.
- 29:48Speaker 1: To do for the walk. Yeah.
- 29:50Speaker 2: What did Rose sign the women up? What was their
- 29:53Speaker 2: job for the walk?
- 29:55Speaker 1: To watch? Yeah? I thought they signed him up for
- 29:58Speaker 1: a walk. I didn't listen, little question. I get into
- 30:01Speaker 1: this Trouba problem all the time. Uh they sign up
- 30:04Speaker 1: to Uh, I guess watch kids?
- 30:06Speaker 3: You got this?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you got. Shockingly we got there and you
- 30:10Speaker 2: got the point.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I'm proud of.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Wow.
- 30:13Speaker 2: It was a journey.
- 30:14Speaker 1: It was only what the episode was about.
- 30:16Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got he's got some.
- 30:19Speaker 2: There's some questions so that you don't feel like a
- 30:21Speaker 2: loser if you don't win. What color is the phone
- 30:25Speaker 2: and you get.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Used to it? Eddie?
- 30:28Speaker 1: What color is the phone in the kitchen?
- 30:30Speaker 2: Yes, Gina, oh weird. Kristen just mouthed fucking bitch at me.
- 30:37Speaker 2: That's so weird. We've been looking at this phone, Gina.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Did you know I think it's yellow?
- 30:44Speaker 2: It is yellow?
- 30:46Speaker 3: Point, Gina, isn't it like a pale yellow.
- 30:49Speaker 1: It's like a Manila It's like a Manila.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's yeah, it's like a Manila yellow, like a
- 30:55Speaker 2: butter butter cup yellow. Look, we all know Henry Fiord
- 31:02Speaker 2: started the Fiord Foundation, uh for battle scum, the battle
- 31:08Speaker 2: scum battlescum battlescum typo. This bitch, I should fire her?
- 31:14Speaker 2: But what car does Blanche say? He also made? Yes,
- 31:20Speaker 2: the Fjord, the fjord filkin. All right, yeah, point Gena.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Come on, Kristen, I know you know that one.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Did you just she's laying.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Down, she's taking a dive.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Why does Rose say that Henry Fiord Junior didn't follow
- 31:37Speaker 2: in his father's.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Footsteps, Gina, Yes, because he was above scum was beneath him.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Yes, come on, guys, all right, this next one is
- 31:50Speaker 2: a list. It's one of my favorite things on this
- 31:52Speaker 2: I have a couple all the time things. So how
- 31:56Speaker 2: do you transform an ordinary potato into a homemade mister
- 32:00Speaker 2: potato head?
- 32:03Speaker 1: Yes, put a chain on him? Mm hmm.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Before that, before that, that was the joke Dorothy made.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Okay, let's stay let's who did you buzz.
- 32:16Speaker 1: In miss Broccoli on the head?
- 32:18Speaker 2: No, we're talking. You got it wrong.
- 32:22Speaker 4: I only know the raisin eyes. I know you list.
- 32:26Speaker 4: I'm sure you listed every little part, the whole list,
- 32:31Speaker 4: the whole list.
- 32:34Speaker 3: It's only like three things.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Three things. Guys. Fine, it says unbelievable. I guess I'm
- 32:43Speaker 2: going to give this to no one.
- 32:44Speaker 3: You get the point, yeah, or Gina, maybe.
- 32:47Speaker 2: You got two of the three. It's two little raisin eyes,
- 32:50Speaker 2: carrot nos and a cucumber mouth cucumber.
- 32:53Speaker 1: There's no broccoli hair.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Can you wait for the next question?
- 32:59Speaker 3: You might be no questions? Is that I'd give it
- 33:03Speaker 3: to Chris, to Aaron, it's a stump, Yeah, all.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Right, when you add broccoli hair and a gold chain.
- 33:11Speaker 2: What does Dorothy say the whole master potato Head should
- 33:15Speaker 2: be called Eddie?
- 33:17Speaker 3: You have to wait till she finishes the question.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Go ahead, go ahead, Eddie.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Sammy Davis Junior.
- 33:30Speaker 2: What it's not correct, it's not right. That's not what
- 33:34Speaker 2: she said.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Tell him Christy Hammy Potato Jr.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Hammy Sammy Potato.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Said, Sammy Davis, Sammy Potato.
- 33:45Speaker 1: That's who it's inspired by.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Just give him a pity point. You would argue with
- 33:50Speaker 2: Alex I haven't awarded a pity point in a while
- 33:54Speaker 2: give him awful.
- 33:55Speaker 4: I don't get the point.
- 33:56Speaker 2: You get the point, you got it right, but he
- 33:59Speaker 2: gets it.
- 34:00Speaker 3: It's a separate pitying point in its own.
- 34:02Speaker 1: All have no idea.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Christ, Thank God, we're not giving a listener guests or
- 34:09Speaker 2: like a listener.
- 34:10Speaker 3: He is competing for the guest prize.
- 34:12Speaker 2: For he is competing for.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I didn't even know about that.
- 34:16Speaker 2: The guest prize, Eddie is a one of a kind
- 34:20Speaker 2: sculpture made out of low McDonald's toys. Oh, that sounds
- 34:26Speaker 2: cool and spray painted gold later.
- 34:29Speaker 1: That sounds really awesome.
- 34:31Speaker 2: It is kind of.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Guess that gets the most points for the season. So
- 34:35Speaker 4: that's our way of getting you.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Bry Eddie.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Spoiler alert, you will be here for the next episode.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I think, all right, let's move on. This is a
- 34:45Speaker 2: two part question, two points possible. Okay, what is Sophia's
- 34:51Speaker 2: number for the race and where is it pinned Kristen? Yes,
- 34:56Speaker 2: Kristen pinned to her purse?
- 34:59Speaker 3: Yes? Okay?
- 35:02Speaker 2: What number does Norman's dad have on Kristen?
- 35:08Speaker 3: Norman's dad, Norman was a little ship eighty seven. She
- 35:13Speaker 3: wrote that down.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I was like, honestly thought that episod would be more
- 35:16Speaker 1: Norman heavy.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Now, It's like it was going that way where it
- 35:21Speaker 3: was going to go. He was going to take the
- 35:22Speaker 3: baby and run away into the woods.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Something was going to happen. Norman's dad touched him, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: he didn't want to go back to Norman's dad. Oh,
- 35:29Speaker 1: very special, golden, very special gold That's why he acts out, took.
- 35:35Speaker 2: His shirt off, wrote the Golden Girls. It would have been.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Like the Fresh Prince Dark.
- 35:42Speaker 2: My dad, like after school special with the baby drowning.
- 35:46Speaker 2: And anyway, all right, what does Norman called Dorothy?
- 35:54Speaker 3: Oh got it? I think you get this one.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Are the bride of Frankenstein.
- 36:00Speaker 3: M m the monster takes a wife?
- 36:04Speaker 2: All right, that's fine, Blanche, we'll just move on.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It's fine for Aaron.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Blanche was the only girl in fifth grade to have
- 36:12Speaker 2: what Kristin?
- 36:14Speaker 4: Yes, Kristin a boyfriend with a fake ID.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Yep, okay, next question list again? Oh gotta give me
- 36:25Speaker 2: a mall.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Just you throw the grocery list away.
- 36:28Speaker 1: All the time. I wing it every time.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I love that for you. I love that.
- 36:36Speaker 3: I just got a hundred things of celery? Is that good?
- 36:42Speaker 3: Oreos oreos babe.
- 36:46Speaker 2: M Look, Tracy taught me the value of bud light
- 36:50Speaker 2: the night before an important meeting. If you're out socializing.
- 36:54Speaker 1: She's a big bud light advocate.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Huge, I'm less foggy at a meeting if I have
- 37:00Speaker 2: that versus like I used to keep up with back
- 37:03Speaker 2: in the day. I used to like one for one
- 37:05Speaker 2: with Ralph with the whiskey sodas.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Oh Jesus, it.
- 37:08Speaker 2: Was too much, and so now now I'm like a
- 37:11Speaker 2: couple of light beers and that.
- 37:14Speaker 4: Beer.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Let's move on. Rose had a great time at the
- 37:18Speaker 2: Deep Root Vegetable Festival. But what all did she do
- 37:23Speaker 2: while she was there?
- 37:25Speaker 4: Kristen, Okay, they had candy turnips and then you had
- 37:30Speaker 4: to guess the turnips in the glass jar and bobbing
- 37:33Speaker 4: for you.
- 37:36Speaker 1: That's not right, it's not what's in the glass jar?
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 37:40Speaker 4: I realized, do you know what's in.
- 37:42Speaker 2: The glass jar? Eddie?
- 37:43Speaker 1: Sweet potatoes?
- 37:47Speaker 2: He's right?
- 37:48Speaker 3: What's so they each get a point? Or what the god?
- 37:53Speaker 4: Two of the three?
- 37:54Speaker 1: I knew that because I hate I hate sweet potatoes,
- 37:55Speaker 1: so it stuck in my head.
- 37:56Speaker 3: I do too.
- 37:57Speaker 2: I'm not a fan, all right, just figured it out,
- 38:02Speaker 2: kristin a sign those points?
- 38:03Speaker 3: Do you like regular potatoes?
- 38:04Speaker 1: Though I do like regular potatoes.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Yeah, that's my boy.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I guess Eddie gets a point for the assist and
- 38:12Speaker 2: you get to can we give.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Potatoes a point?
- 38:15Speaker 1: Potatoes deserve a point and then potato.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Okay, wait for potatoes, got it.
- 38:22Speaker 2: We'll just move along. Despite the fun she was having
- 38:25Speaker 2: at the Deep Root Vegetable Festival, who does Rose say
- 38:29Speaker 2: she nearly ended up with as parents.
- 38:34Speaker 4: Kristin, Yes, the bearded lady and the man that hoes
- 38:37Speaker 4: down the elephants?
- 38:38Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yes, huh huh.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I have no recollection of that part.
- 38:43Speaker 4: I heard that's small in the margins.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Talking, So I'm sorry if I distracted you. That's okay,
- 38:50Speaker 2: I'm a chatter. It's all okay because at the end
- 38:54Speaker 2: of the day, Rose follows what star homes now? Yes,
- 39:02Speaker 2: Kristen the Texa Coast Star?
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I'd rather go to the which one had
- 39:08Speaker 3: the dinosaur Sinclair Claire?
- 39:11Speaker 2: Much like Abby, Rose's uncle, Lester doesn't get a lot
- 39:16Speaker 2: of the corn in his mouth. What do they do
- 39:20Speaker 2: with the corn that fell on Lester's pants? Ed, Eddie?
- 39:25Speaker 1: They cream it.
- 39:28Speaker 2: For him to eat later?
- 39:30Speaker 4: Yeah, dream corn is good?
- 39:35Speaker 3: How do you cream it?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Basically? Add heavy no, you take the kernels. There's like
- 39:41Speaker 2: some heavy cream and some sweet.
- 39:44Speaker 4: With it and make it thinner. Then you can use
- 39:47Speaker 4: it for like a corn cou I.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Don't care for them. Okay, Eddie, it's weird, right, yeah, Okay,
- 39:53Speaker 3: I'm on the pickier side.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I'm like Eddie, when Lester had one tooth, I was like, well,
- 39:58Speaker 2: I've found a way to write Abbey into a question. Finally,
- 40:01Speaker 2: on our shop.
- 40:03Speaker 3: What you're doing right now?
- 40:05Speaker 2: She's napping by thet She's doing the lord's work, taking
- 40:10Speaker 2: a nap. All right, finish the line. Okay, the older
- 40:19Speaker 2: you get, the better you get. Unless Kristen, Yes, Kristin,
- 40:24Speaker 2: you're a banana.
- 40:27Speaker 3: That needs to go in your stencil on the wall.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Next thing, Yeah, hey.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Older bananas are good because they're good for making banana bread.
- 40:35Speaker 3: That's true.
- 40:37Speaker 2: And then why don't Emily's parents pick her up? This
- 40:40Speaker 2: is the last question. Why do Emily. Let's just try
- 40:47Speaker 2: that again. Why do Emily's parents not pick her up?
- 40:50Speaker 4: Kristen, Yes, because they had triplets.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense. That episode makes no sense
- 40:59Speaker 1: unless he Unless he left Emily's mom and and Emily's maybe.
- 41:04Speaker 4: They adopted Emily and then they got.
- 41:06Speaker 3: That's the only wagnant yea.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Emily's If Emily didn't come from Emily's mom, that's the
- 41:12Speaker 1: only way, because that baby is too too young for her.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Baby was not not at least nine months.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Unless those triplets are like two month old premies, and
- 41:20Speaker 1: the they.
- 41:21Speaker 3: Were seven months triplets were miscarriages.
- 41:25Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Oh, they were going to drown Emily. Why not kill
- 41:31Speaker 3: only babies? Kids die all the time them.
- 41:34Speaker 2: We picked the wrong villain, guys, because Eddie keeps trying
- 41:37Speaker 2: to murder babies, and I feel like maybe Eddie was.
- 41:41Speaker 3: The US is kind of high in infant mortality. You know,
- 41:44Speaker 3: it's fine now it is, well, we're not going to
- 41:49Speaker 3: vaccinate him anymore, so it's going to go up.
- 41:51Speaker 1: We also outlawed prenatal care. Any hoosel hoosela?
- 41:58Speaker 3: Was that your last question?
- 41:59Speaker 2: That was my last question?
- 42:00Speaker 3: Subar one, Let me guess, not me, Oh, it's a
- 42:03Speaker 3: spoiler alert.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I think we know one.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Was it Eddie no missus claw from inspector gadget?
- 42:13Speaker 1: Yes, get gadget.
- 42:19Speaker 2: You could also call it the jellyfish.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Oh, my sister used to do that all
- 42:24Speaker 4: the time. You'd go to give her high five.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Go jellyfish, what is wrong with your family?
- 42:29Speaker 4: And you got to give her a She goes.
- 42:35Speaker 3: We get her on the show. I needn't meet this person.
- 42:38Speaker 4: This is this Jessica.
- 42:40Speaker 3: The gallo makes our glasses toppers.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I had like eighty six snapchats from her. I don't
- 42:46Speaker 2: go in Snapchat because I'm not fish.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you're swapping nudes with her sister, that's right.
- 42:50Speaker 2: And so I chat and there's like eighty seven thousand
- 42:54Speaker 2: videos of her cute little daughter, and I was like,
- 42:57Speaker 2: holy shit, this really backs up if I don't go
- 42:59Speaker 2: in here daily. But also, I'm not sending nudes. I'm
- 43:02Speaker 2: just a middle age.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Why I use an app that deletes stuff? It's for
- 43:06Speaker 3: cheating and nudes? Right, I don't know who are you asking.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I'm asking the world.
- 43:12Speaker 1: It used to be solely for like dick pics and
- 43:14Speaker 1: then and then it became more of a social media platform.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but it still deletes it when you watch it, right,
- 43:22Speaker 3: I believe.
- 43:22Speaker 1: So, yeah, you have the option not to.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I think there's a way to like save them, but
- 43:30Speaker 2: they go away. I'll speak to your sister off air
- 43:33Speaker 2: about it.
- 43:35Speaker 4: She saves them because she sends me the hard copy
- 43:37Speaker 4: video because I have videos pictures of all the nieces
- 43:40Speaker 4: and nephew.
- 43:41Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, well, hey, do you have trivia
- 43:44Speaker 2: for us?
- 43:45Speaker 7: Jess?
- 43:47Speaker 3: I assure you all right. Christopher Burton played Norman Henderson.
- 43:52Speaker 3: He was also on the show Webster. I think just
- 43:56Speaker 3: on a couple episodes. Okay, Nat Bernstein, Oh yeah, Nat
- 44:01Speaker 3: Bernstein was Emily's father.
- 44:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Ray Combs as Bob Henderson. He was on Amen and
- 44:09Speaker 3: Down to Earth. I never saw those shows, did you, guys?
- 44:14Speaker 2: Thank you?
- 44:15Speaker 4: I'm like, why does that guy look so family?
- 44:20Speaker 3: I'm he used to the guy Dawson who kisses everyone.
- 44:22Speaker 3: That's why I was he.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Came after that guy, after Dawson.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Is he the one that died? Okay?
- 44:29Speaker 2: Yeah, probably because Norman was such a dick, or Norman
- 44:33Speaker 2: killed him.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Ray Combs died, Yeah, I believe so.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Did he like tragically or not?
- 44:40Speaker 1: I think so.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Arianna Richards was Lisa, one of the kids. If you
- 44:46Speaker 3: remember her. She was Lex in Jurassic Park and I
- 44:49Speaker 3: had to shout out her amazing jello acting.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Oh god, fuck the jello acting when she gets sneezed on.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Now that Abbey has.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Extra space, the jello acting.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I like that, and no, no, the jello acting was phenomenal,
- 45:04Speaker 2: but she I feel her pain at that moment when
- 45:09Speaker 2: the dinosaur sneeze is on her because liquids and things
- 45:13Speaker 2: come out of toothless Abbey. Sometimes when she sneezes and.
- 45:17Speaker 3: I I have I've been seized on by my dog.
- 45:20Speaker 3: You just go thank you.
- 45:22Speaker 2: It is so great.
- 45:24Speaker 3: I don't care. They just wag their tail.
- 45:26Speaker 2: She's like, Okay, I did the thing, and does your.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Dog do that?
- 45:29Speaker 4: Eddie Daily, No, I've had my niece's sneeze on me.
- 45:36Speaker 1: He's what like three four four, almost twenty five four ish?
- 45:43Speaker 2: Hebby, he's almost sixteen. She's basically a thousand.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Bishop's like almost fifteen, okay. Scott Curtis was Timmy.
- 45:52Speaker 3: He was on a show called Aaron's Way. I don't
- 45:54Speaker 3: know what that is. Jessica Keenan Wynn was uncredited as Emily.
- 45:59Speaker 3: She was young Tanya in Mama Mia, Here we Go Again,
- 46:03Speaker 3: which I've never seen, but I figured Kristin and Aaron
- 46:06Speaker 3: may have.
- 46:08Speaker 4: I saw it once.
- 46:10Speaker 3: It also notes that ray Colmbs was the warm up
- 46:12Speaker 3: comedian for the show.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Really did you ever get that?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Kind of gig, Eddie.
- 46:18Speaker 1: It's a tough gig to get, is it?
- 46:20Speaker 3: Usually you gotta be someone's buddy.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Well, there's only on the show. It's usually like it's
- 46:24Speaker 1: almost like voiceover acting, where it's just it's a small
- 46:27Speaker 1: group of people that have all the jobs. So it's
- 46:30Speaker 1: if you're a warm up guy, you do several shows
- 46:33Speaker 1: and it's just hard to get, so you just go
- 46:36Speaker 1: to one. It's okay, select group of people that are
- 46:40Speaker 1: able to work.
- 46:41Speaker 3: In it, okay. There was a couple of references I
- 46:43Speaker 3: wrote down during the show. Texaco has merged with Chevron
- 46:47Speaker 3: in two thousand and one, so I don't think there's
- 46:49Speaker 3: any more around. Have you guys seen any No, I
- 46:53Speaker 3: we never.
- 46:54Speaker 4: Had them up here.
- 46:55Speaker 3: There was a reference to washing up off fruit due
- 46:57Speaker 3: to pesticides because Rose may have just been eating the fruit.
- 47:02Speaker 3: And uh Sean Penn and paparazzi. In nineteen eighty five,
- 47:05Speaker 3: he assaulted two journalists when he and Madonna were in Nashville.
- 47:09Speaker 3: He was fined fifty dollars each. Oh was he married
- 47:14Speaker 3: to her? Just dating her? I forget?
- 47:15Speaker 1: I think they think they were married.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Yeah, didn't he beat her up? Though? Any bad guy allegedly,
- 47:23Speaker 3: I don't want to get stuped.
- 47:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if he hit her,
- 47:28Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 47:30Speaker 3: That's all I have for you. All Right, Well here's
- 47:33Speaker 3: the about Blanche.
- 47:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so first of all, just right off the bat,
- 47:37Speaker 2: bitch is like, I don't even want my kids in
- 47:40Speaker 2: the house, and then is pissed that they're gonna babysit.
- 47:43Speaker 2: So that's pretty fucked. Then she makes fun of Rose,
- 47:47Speaker 2: who clearly is suffering mentally in this episode. She has
- 47:51Speaker 2: a hard time. This is the stupidest I think Rose
- 47:54Speaker 2: is in an episode today.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I don't remember being as dumb as this episode is.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and so so her her coming up with
- 48:03Speaker 2: the Fiord fialcan. That was just me and Rose was
- 48:08Speaker 2: having a rough day clearly. Then she decides she doesn't
- 48:13Speaker 2: want to hold the baby right and they're just like
- 48:16Speaker 2: shoving this doll at her and she's like flat armed,
- 48:20Speaker 2: like backing up, like no, I can't drop it. I
- 48:23Speaker 2: won't take this from you. And that's fucked. But here's
- 48:27Speaker 2: the weirdest thing. She has this total thing where she
- 48:30Speaker 2: realizes she was a shitty mom, so and then she's
- 48:33Speaker 2: pretty sure she wants to just keep this person's baby.
- 48:37Speaker 2: They've not even been gone like twenty four hours, and
- 48:40Speaker 2: she's gonna steal their baby. The fuck man? Right, you
- 48:45Speaker 2: didn't do it right the first time, why do you
- 48:47Speaker 2: think you'd do it right again?
- 48:48Speaker 3: Pay what.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Mike? This one wasn't as strong. I don't feel as
- 48:54Speaker 2: confident about this one. I do feel like I could
- 48:57Speaker 2: have made a solid case though for Sophia.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Oh when Sophia said that she gets to get away
- 49:02Speaker 4: from the dits for the whole day, I haven't heard
- 49:05Speaker 4: the word dits in a very long time.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 49:10Speaker 2: That's my story.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Did you like the episode any What were your thoughts?
- 49:15Speaker 1: It wasn't one of my favorite ones. That's fair, It
- 49:18Speaker 1: wasn't one of my favorite ones.
- 49:19Speaker 3: You have one you remember from watching I.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Remember enjoying that. I used to watch it with my
- 49:24Speaker 1: grandmother when I was a kid, and I remember really
- 49:27Speaker 1: enjoying the show. But I remember the writing being tighter
- 49:31Speaker 1: than that.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Some of them are just hilarious.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Ye I'm saying I remember a lot of it, just
- 49:37Speaker 1: like just joke after Joe and then not. So I'm
- 49:42Speaker 1: just mean a lot of more. I don't remember them
- 49:44Speaker 1: being that mean and that overtly sexual.
- 49:49Speaker 2: Than I think we didn't understand that the as and
- 49:54Speaker 2: when we were younger. Yeah, because I feel the same
- 49:57Speaker 2: way about that.
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm like, oh wow, it's like every third joke is
- 50:02Speaker 1: some sort of sexual and window joke.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe they just went over your head.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I think we didn't get them when we were younger
- 50:09Speaker 2: because we've been surprised. We're almost done with season two
- 50:14Speaker 2: at this point, and we're we're like a lot of
- 50:17Speaker 2: sex and we haven't even gotten to the condoms. Rose condom, condom. Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 2: this is not one of the best episodes. We have
- 50:26Speaker 2: one of the best guests we've ever had this show.
- 50:31Speaker 3: I see what you did there.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I feel so bad. This show is just okay this week.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Maybe you should stick around.
- 50:40Speaker 3: We'll get you in town.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Don't leave town, and then you can come back on
- 50:44Speaker 2: our show next week four.
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'll probably have done laundry by then, so I'll probably
- 50:49Speaker 1: wearing the same shirt.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, we don't have a video podcast, right, so asy.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Why I fixed my hair this morning?
- 50:58Speaker 2: Oh?
- 50:59Speaker 3: No, tell him it was video.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I just assumed. Sorry, I have to this is fixed.
- 51:07Speaker 1: This hair is fixed.
- 51:08Speaker 3: It's lovely.
- 51:10Speaker 2: No, it's fine. That looks great, thank you look very
- 51:14Speaker 2: handsome Eddie Ben's thank you Okay.
- 51:17Speaker 3: Typically this is where Aaron asked if you'd like to
- 51:20Speaker 3: plug anything?
- 51:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I guess yeah.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 51:23Speaker 2: It was fun to have that awkward silence that you'll
- 51:25Speaker 2: edit out.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I thought maybe she FROs So people, the people that
- 51:30Speaker 1: really want to hear me promote something stay. You could
- 51:36Speaker 1: check me out on I'm on the Ralph Report on
- 51:39Speaker 1: patreon dot com five days a week. You can go
