- 0:02SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Welcome back to AI Made Simple.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: I'm Steve Brown, your host.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: You know, we help uh our clients use AI to connect better with uh their clients, right?
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: And uh for AI to be simple, we have to get in there, we have to start using it because it's here, it's uh changing our workflows, it's changing our businesses, and it's uh going to be changing the way that your customers um connect with you, evaluate you.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: So uh the other day I had the uh no, actually yesterday I had a phone call, and um the lady called and we I was talking to her for a second, and I said, Hey, how did you learn about us?
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: And she said, I asked Chat GPT.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And so today's topic is uh um, wow.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: So if uh ChatGPT is recommending you, how do you get Chat GPT to um to do that?
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: What are the actions that we need to take?
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: What do we need to do to uh take advantage of it?
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: Because we're moving from a search world to a conversation world, from a from a search engine to a chat engine.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: And so that uh upends everything that uh the way that we've been trying to get our businesses to be found online.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: It's one of the most common questions I get, Steve.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: You know, tell me uh how do we do SEO?
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: How do I get found?
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: And ultimately, what that question means is how does the person that's searching for my solution know about me, know about my business, and how do I fit in their future?
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: And so let's uh let's hop in here.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna share my screen, I'll show you a couple of things, and uh we'll get to we'll figure this out how you can start taking advantage of this opportunity.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: So here we are looking at um, and I designed these uh little websites.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: This is a website that I designed right before this call.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: So AI is even making me, someone who doesn't know how to code, communicate more clearly.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: And um, but yeah, I got this call and I I asked her, hey, and but what struck me about that she said I found you um through chat GPT, it also got me thinking, where was she, where was she in the decision, decision making um process, right?
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: She's there's the thing called the um the buyer's journey, and where are they in the buying process?
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Are they just investigating, starting to think about it, starting to consider it, or are they ready to buy, ready to buy?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: And in this case, when folks are using Chat GPT, they're ready to buy, they're ready to connect, they're asking uh for the information.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: And here's where they are.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: It used to be you have to go in to search and you had to look around for a long time, and then what this is what we've been doing for decades.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: And we typed in keywords, we get a list of links, like on a library card catalog, and it was on us to sift through that to find the answer to go and investigate.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: And this would take time, and um folks don't have time, they would they want to know, and so what's what's transpired is now it's like these these models in AI, you can just come and click voice mode and talk to them.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: So imagine imagine that your prospects are talking to Chat GPT and they're asking whatever their specific questions are, and then the AI is going out and doing all of this for them in seconds.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: What took that what took you, me, uh, maybe an hour to do to investigate and take time, assuming we had that that um temperament.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: AI is doing it in just a matter of seconds.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: I'll show you.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I'll show you exactly.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I went in and and for today's um show, I was like, all right, let's um let's pretend we're somebody that needs an attorney.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: We're in Oklahoma City, and I need an attorney that has a good reputation and is known to take the time and understand my situation.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: I have a business problem and I need to get it resolved.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: I have a customer who's not happy with their services and threatening to take action.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: And so I pop that in there, and just within a second, this is uh what ChatGPT returned.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: So, you know, here's several respected business attorneys and law firms in Oklahoma City, known for taking their time.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: All right, so I looked at those.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Here it gives me the phone number, tells me what they specialize in and why choose them.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: They emphasize proactive strategies and personal attention with client testimonials, praising their passion and caring.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: And here's the link to where they got that information, where the AI got the information from.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: So it goes through and puts these in, and then uh then it tells me how to choose.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: It tells me here's how to choose what to look for.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: So not only is it bringing me solutions, now it's like educating me on how to make a good decision, and then then how to go about next steps.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: So I thought, you know, I'm gonna ask this, uh, describe your process that led you to present me this list.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: And so, and so what it's telling me is that it clarified my needs.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Then it went out and did a targeted web search.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: This returned a mix of law firm home pages, lawyer directories, Google Maps, third-party articles.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: This is a key point of our conversation today.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Then I scanned for patterns across these results, not just top rankings, but recurring mentions of firms with client empathy, strong ratings, business litigation.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Then it went out and it cross-references, cross-referenced and prioritized these items.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Then it summarized and contextualized a lot of icing going on here.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: But that's what AI does, right?
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: What they focus on, why they're relevant to your situation and what you might expect.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: And then offers you a filter, how much time you have, what legal level of legal conflict you expect, your comfort with direct or indirect confrontation.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Now, this is whether you knew it or not, this is what you were doing a version of this when you had time as you were going through and clicking on all of these links.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's what we used to do.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: And now this thing's coming back.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: So it made me go to this next thing.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: So I'm curious of the information that you went through to present me this list.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: If you broke it down by percentage, what percentage is influenced by their website, and what percentage is influenced by other sources out of that law firm's control.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Now, this is where the SEO conversation always, you know, I always get asked that, and the and the clients, what are the why are they asking it?
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: They're wanting to know of what I can control, what can I do?
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: But here's the truth or the reality of the situation.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: And it's like that maybe shouldn't be the exact priority.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Actually, there may be some other areas that you're not considering that you want to figure out how to influence.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: And this is interesting.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: So 35% is influenced in this particular breakdown by the law firm's own website.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: It says, I reviewed how they describe themselves, their practice areas, case types, tone, and professionalism.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: This took me, told me how they want to be perceived.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: Key, key, how they want to be perceived.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: Third-party reviews, Google, AVO, etc.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: This was crucial to see how clients actually felt, especially about communication, empathy, and problem solving, which happened to be your biggest concern.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: I considered Super Lawyers, Martindale, Hubble, Chambers, USA, uh Inc.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: 500, signals of trust and consistency, directory summaries.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: These gave clean cross-reference data like specialties, bar status, education, and firm size, but usually repeated what's on their website.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Okay, so that's why there's a 10%.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: And press articles or linked mentions, not always, but I gave a bonus weight if a firm was mentioned or recommended organically in blogs, news, or Reddit threads.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: So about 65% of what shaped the list come from sources outside of the firm's control.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: This was intentional.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: I didn't want to just be regurgitating marketing fluff.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: I wanted to find signals on how these attorneys actually show up in the real world.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: A firm like Mazahari made the cut, the tone, and stories and reviews matching their branding.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: It was congruent.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: 5000 isn't something you can fake.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: It's a proxy for client satisfaction, growth, and trust.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: So, with that in mind, I asked, what would you recommend that someone do to beef up their 35%?
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: We're wanting to control what we can, but I'm curious how that would go.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: So this was leading us to the next step of our story here, our one clear offer.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Now, it says the my it's the right mindset.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: You can't control Google reviews or third-party awards overnight, but that 35% of your own message, um, that's ours to shape.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: So let's treat your website like a silent sales partner and make it speak the language your ideal client is already listening for.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: Well, here's how to beef it up signal that you get it emotionally and practically.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: Most law firm sites lead with we fight for justice, trusted since 1987.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: That's invisible.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: Instead, lead with a felt pain.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: For example, when a business deal goes sideways, you don't need a bulldog, you need someone who will actually stop and listen first.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Add empathy-driven copy.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: We've seen too many clients come in jaded, burned by lawyers who talked more than they listened.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: That's not us.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: Include scenarios like what happens when a customer threatens legal action, or you tried to do the right thing and it backfired.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: This makes your reader go, holy crap, that's my situation.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: This is this is the essence of great story-based marketing.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: That means that all of a sudden you feel understood.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: And how do you feel understood?
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: You have to be the center of that story, not the law firm, right?
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: So make it obvious you solve this problem.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: Create a what to do when a customer threatens legal action page, answer common fears.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: Do I respond?
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: I ignore them.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Am I going to court?
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: And show you're human, not just credentials, and turn your website into a helpful tool, maybe like a client prep guide or before you call us resource.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: This position you as the organized, trusted guide.
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: Add a short.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Am I overacting?
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Then name your approach.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: So this is what this is what I call is your one clear offer.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: You know, we all do all these various things uh in our business.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: You know, if you think about car dealership, I sell cars, I repair cars, I I buy used cars, I you know, I sell used cars.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: There's all these things.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: So what do I say?
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: And that one clear offer is pretty much um pretty much.
- 13:36SPEAKER_01: Hey, when you're in a jam, okay, you need someone that actually stop and listen first.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: That's the truth.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: So when you need when you got something going on with your car, then we're the ones that help you to find the best path for you.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's your one clear offer.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And so how do you get that?
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: Well, that's that's a hard thing to get to the one clear offer.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: When you look at uh how do you do that?
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: Well, oftentimes we're all too close to the subject to get to that one clear offer.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: So, guess what?
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: AI, AI can help with that too.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: So let's I created for you today what's called the one clear offer GPT.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: This is free, it's for you, and it's immediate.

- 15:13SPEAKER_01: It's going to ask you about your ideal client, the painful problem they're facing, the transformation they want, how you uniquely help them to get there.

- 17:23SPEAKER_01: So, you know, this is what I do with my clients, and I work with them.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: We create this content flywheel, and typically it's just a regular experience of me interviewing them and taking that subject matter expertise from their head, putting it into a formatting solution, AI, and then it organizes it into these beautiful marketing building blocks, and then that starts to um bake into all of the content, their proposals, their emails, their newsletters, their blogs, their um, you know, any interaction with clients and prospects, etc.
