- 1:41Speaker 1: favorites from the Volume podcast Network. I'm Chad Moment, Chief
- 1:45Speaker 1: content Officer of the Action Network, where sixteen hours removed
- 1:53Speaker 1: from an epic, incredible, intense, glorious ram Bengals Super Bowl
- 2:02Speaker 1: rams on. The final spread was four the total was
- 2:07Speaker 1: forty eight and a half. My bff, my companion, my compadre,
- 2:13Speaker 1: the man I want in a foxhole, especially when it
- 2:18Speaker 1: comes to betting on the NFL Professional better sigmon hunter
- 2:22Speaker 1: Dude Matt Mitchell hit that music, my guy, Chad, Buddy,
- 2:32Speaker 1: what a way to end it. We fucking crushed, crushed.
- 2:36Speaker 1: This is the quietest my Twitter feed's been with haters
- 2:39Speaker 1: all season. I mean, it's no joke. I looked back
- 2:42Speaker 1: through our record, Buddy, you technically only had two losing
- 2:44Speaker 1: weeks because you went with Since the last week, we've
- 2:47Speaker 1: only had three losing weeks since the first week of November.
- 2:51Speaker 1: It's February. Three losing weeks out of seventeen weeks. Sixteen weeks. Buddy.
- 2:58Speaker 1: It's been a hell of a way to close off
- 3:00Speaker 1: this year, and just just that amazing season. The playoffs
- 3:03Speaker 1: especially had been bonkers. We've been especially I don't want
- 3:07Speaker 1: to say hot. I hate when betters talk about being
- 3:11Speaker 1: on coach streaks. Being on hot streaks, it feels the amateurish. Honestly,
- 3:15Speaker 1: it just does like you're being more consistent. If you're
- 3:20Speaker 1: making the right decisions every single week, then it all
- 3:23Speaker 1: evens out. You're never gonna wine, You're not gonna lose.
- 3:29Speaker 1: If you make the right decisions, you're gonna win, like
- 3:32Speaker 1: fifty three to sixty percent of the time. That's what's
- 3:35Speaker 1: supposed to happen. If you are thinking about markets, if
- 3:39Speaker 1: you are thinking about underdogs, if you are thinking about systems,
- 3:44Speaker 1: there's a reason why some people do it consistently, right
- 3:48Speaker 1: and those last say since November, but then during the
- 3:50Speaker 1: playoffs especially, holy fuck, did we just nail it? And um,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you know, I bet eleven props eleven made of eleven bets.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yesterday I went eight and three. UM. I lost the
- 4:07Speaker 1: Stafford under five and a half rushing yards, which could
- 4:11Speaker 1: be regraded. We're gonna talk about that for those who
- 4:13Speaker 1: weren't paying attention. Stafford had seven rushing yards and on
- 4:18Speaker 1: the last play of the game was a kneel down.
- 4:20Speaker 1: It looked like he kneeled down two yards back, but
- 4:23Speaker 1: he never handed the ball to the ref so we
- 4:25Speaker 1: didn't get placed. So he's officially grade at as one.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Some books are beginning to talk about offering refunds on
- 4:32Speaker 1: that bet um or grading it as a as a win. UM,
- 4:36Speaker 1: so that's still out there. I lost Joe Mixon over
- 4:39Speaker 1: twenty four and a half receiving yards and Cooper Cup
- 4:41Speaker 1: longest reception twenty and a half UM, but thanks to you, Simon,
- 4:47Speaker 1: I won Tee Higgins over seventy and a half receiving yards.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I gotta tell you first play from scrimmage coming
- 4:54Speaker 1: out a halftime, I'm sitting with buddy his kid. I'm
- 4:58Speaker 1: sitting with my kid, and I say, perfect time for
- 5:01Speaker 1: Tea Higgins to go seventy five and a touchdown, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: he did it. The screaming that came out of my body,
- 5:09Speaker 1: I almost like, I don't think I've ever shown my
- 5:11Speaker 1: kid that kind of emotion, like literally up up and down, jumping,
- 5:16Speaker 1: yelling all of us. I'm grabbing his face, I'm telling
- 5:19Speaker 1: him how much I love him, Like it was a
- 5:24Speaker 1: different kind of visceral feeling. And then, of course, thanks
- 5:27Speaker 1: to you and convinced me and your favorite long shot
- 5:31Speaker 1: bet being Odell Beckham Jr. First touchdown anywhere for me
- 5:35Speaker 1: and have to tend to one. And then you know,
- 5:37Speaker 1: we both had the Bengals. I had a couple of
- 5:39Speaker 1: Bengals bets. We had an under twenty four. I had
- 5:42Speaker 1: a Joe Mixon to lead the game in rushing a
- 5:44Speaker 1: plus one. Um. Just a glorious, glorious day. Yeah, Buddy,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I mean it's we talked before we came to the show.
- 5:55Speaker 1: If Stafford, who was on the one one yard line,
- 5:59Speaker 1: if he would have ran in that touchdown in I
- 6:02Speaker 1: mean it would have been easily a six figure day
- 6:05Speaker 1: for me personally on top of what I want and
- 6:08Speaker 1: between the clients and this show, I mean the fan
- 6:11Speaker 1: base of this show, which we joke all the time,
- 6:13Speaker 1: how big this show has gotten. I could not believe
- 6:17Speaker 1: when I logged on to a website we can't say
- 6:19Speaker 1: an app and the line had moved from Stafford hundred
- 6:23Speaker 1: one two touchdowns to one, just because of the fans
- 6:27Speaker 1: of the show. Again, no one else is telling people
- 6:29Speaker 1: to bet that this was the only show talking about it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So that was like, I again, I know how big
- 6:34Speaker 1: our show is, but just to see how much we
- 6:36Speaker 1: can affect lines and stuff on the show was amazing.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So that that Stafford one hurt just because you touched
- 6:42Speaker 1: on a chat. I I gave out Rams first half
- 6:44Speaker 1: minus two and a half, nailed it, gave out the
- 6:47Speaker 1: under they missed extra point, we made it by half
- 6:50Speaker 1: a point, nailed it, full game under Bengals, full game
- 6:54Speaker 1: four and a half. And it's a good feeling too
- 6:56Speaker 1: when we talk literally after the a f C championship
- 6:59Speaker 1: game or NFC championship games. So it's what was that
- 7:02Speaker 1: ten o'clock or eleven o'clock or Sunday night, I'm out
- 7:05Speaker 1: of it kind of. But even in my instincts, I
- 7:07Speaker 1: was just like, this is an ugly a team that
- 7:10Speaker 1: just plays ugly, like the Bengals play ugly. We we
- 7:13Speaker 1: have to take these points. And even you were just like, yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 1: we'll take this point and we'll break it down as
- 7:17Speaker 1: the week goes along. So that was the rare time
- 7:20Speaker 1: where the gut, that's what our gut, we already liked,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and then we ran the numbers and aren't it gave
- 7:25Speaker 1: us the under gave us the side. And like you
- 7:28Speaker 1: talked about this playoffs, my system has been I mean again,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I'm I'm I am good at this, But it comes
- 7:33Speaker 1: down to having a system, Like that's what because people
- 7:37Speaker 1: watched the games, they're not that they're full of ship,
- 7:39Speaker 1: but you heard so many guys out there being like
- 7:41Speaker 1: Rams by fourteen Rams blowout. This matchup is terrible for
- 7:45Speaker 1: the Bengals. And it's like those are people who don't
- 7:47Speaker 1: have systems. They just watch football and there's like, no,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I know what I'm watching, I know what I see.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It's like, no, you have to look at the numbers. So, um,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I think the final tally for me on sides, I
- 7:58Speaker 1: believe it was eleven four and then on totals, I
- 8:02Speaker 1: believe it was twelve and three. So just an incredibly
- 8:05Speaker 1: profitable playoff run for me. And then like you touch
- 8:07Speaker 1: on the props man, that was like that Odell one
- 8:11Speaker 1: was huge. But it's like we joke all the time
- 8:13Speaker 1: you do these parlays and these different things in the
- 8:15Speaker 1: Super Bowl, and like having a nine to one Odell
- 8:19Speaker 1: parlaide with you know, the Bengals four and a half
- 8:22Speaker 1: that paid like twenty three to one. If I'm been
- 8:24Speaker 1: a grant, it's twenty three k right there. That Yeah,
- 8:28Speaker 1: I mean, dude, everything, every little thing you could think of,
- 8:32Speaker 1: it just adds up. Like I joked about that McPherson
- 8:34Speaker 1: him being my biggest bet over one half field goals.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It was because I eventually counted up all these tickets
- 8:39Speaker 1: I've been having runners bet and different things like that.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm just like, well, I have a stack here of
- 8:43Speaker 1: like forty bets on this kicker, and it's all gonna
- 8:47Speaker 1: be like, you know, a thousand to win, five hundred thousand,
- 8:51Speaker 1: seven hundred fifty. It was like a ton of those
- 8:53Speaker 1: bets because again they limit props. That's what sports books.
- 8:57Speaker 1: They were getting beat up. Like again, we didn't touch
- 9:00Speaker 1: trying to like I having a random punter, missed the
- 9:02Speaker 1: snap on that extra point. He end up throwing that
- 9:04Speaker 1: ball that counted as a pass. So we've already hit
- 9:07Speaker 1: that stupid proper we've done, which I thought about O'Dell
- 9:10Speaker 1: doing the Philly Special. A couple of plays later, Joe
- 9:12Speaker 1: Mixon goes back. There was a touchdown to Tee Higgins.
- 9:16Speaker 1: We hit our over two and a half passing touchdown passers,
- 9:20Speaker 1: which is like eleven oh one. So again we put
- 9:22Speaker 1: in the time in the research. You gotta get lucky,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and we got very, very lucky. Uh this past super Bowl. Yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 1: you know what's interesting, you make all these bets. The
- 9:31Speaker 1: other one we didn't talk about that. Sean Kerner loved
- 9:35Speaker 1: a week talked about it in The Proper Plos, a
- 9:37Speaker 1: podcast that came out Monday of Super Bowl Week. First one,
- 9:41Speaker 1: he talked about Kevin Hubert over fifty two and a
- 9:44Speaker 1: half yards for the longest punt and he looked terrible.
- 9:47Speaker 1: That he looked terrible, and then uh, it was I
- 9:51Speaker 1: think his last punch, second last put maybe the first
- 9:54Speaker 1: punt of the first half, and it's interesting through the
- 9:57Speaker 1: first half, or like even when after the t Cans play,
- 10:01Speaker 1: I felt like so many of my bets I was
- 10:04Speaker 1: kind of trending in the right direction because I was
- 10:06Speaker 1: heavy on the Bengals. Joe Mixon can makers couldn't do anything.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Joe Mixon was having a really good game, so I
- 10:12Speaker 1: was feeling good about that one. I didn't feel good
- 10:14Speaker 1: about Cooper Cup and I thought I had lost Stafford.
- 10:17Speaker 1: So after Tee Higgins, like a lot of my sweats
- 10:19Speaker 1: were over because I was invested in like a lot
- 10:21Speaker 1: of things that already cashed right or had no chance
- 10:23Speaker 1: of doing it. Huber was the only one that I
- 10:27Speaker 1: was waiting on, and I remember thinking, all right, I
- 10:30Speaker 1: did the math in my head when he kicked it,
- 10:32Speaker 1: What was the line of scrimmage where the guy caught it?
- 10:34Speaker 1: What was the line of scrimmage? I looked at my
- 10:36Speaker 1: buddy's kid. My buddy's kid is eighteen, is a senior
- 10:39Speaker 1: in high school. I looked him like he was the
- 10:41Speaker 1: only one in the room with me like everyone else
- 10:42Speaker 1: because they weren't betting puncher props and left the room.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, did he just kick it fifty four yards?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Did we just win our fucking punter prop? And he's like,
- 10:54Speaker 1: we want our puncher prop And we were jumping up
- 10:56Speaker 1: and down screaming, and after that, like the rest of
- 10:59Speaker 1: the game was gravy felt great, like every combination. It's
- 11:02Speaker 1: like we did get lucky and on the right side
- 11:04Speaker 1: of things, and a lot of the things we needed
- 11:06Speaker 1: happened early in the game, so we weren't sweating anything
- 11:09Speaker 1: at the end of the game. And that was also
- 11:11Speaker 1: funny tours like don't you People kept messaging me like
- 11:14Speaker 1: aren't you worried? You're betting like Chalky Things where it's like, again,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I don't want to be spragged. Doocious that we set
- 11:19Speaker 1: the market, But it's like people listen to our shows.
- 11:21Speaker 1: People are gonna take things we say and talk about
- 11:23Speaker 1: on their own shows or different vice First, it's like
- 11:25Speaker 1: people are got the same idea. It's just one game,
- 11:27Speaker 1: so a lot of people are gonna be on the
- 11:29Speaker 1: same stuff, sports books, hanging bad lines. It's like there's
- 11:32Speaker 1: nothing they can do. They have to take the money,
- 11:34Speaker 1: they have to hang the number, they live and die
- 11:36Speaker 1: with it. It's like if Joe Burrow would have drove
- 11:38Speaker 1: that field at the end of that game and scored
- 11:40Speaker 1: a touchdown and the Bengals would have one outright and
- 11:43Speaker 1: hit the over. I've seen some like bookmakers like that
- 11:46Speaker 1: would have been like a thirty million, forty million flip
- 11:48Speaker 1: for them personally. That was people can complain about that game.
- 11:52Speaker 1: That was such a Stars and Scrubs game where it's
- 11:55Speaker 1: like every guy in the world was on that Tee Higgins,
- 11:58Speaker 1: you know, over yards or over touchdowns prop he got
- 12:01Speaker 1: two touchdowns a hundred yards. Everyone was on Cooper Cup
- 12:04Speaker 1: to get a touchdown. A lot of books that they
- 12:05Speaker 1: had more money on him to score any time touchdown
- 12:08Speaker 1: than either side of the spread. So I love how
- 12:11Speaker 1: much scambling is growing because it's just changed so much.
- 12:14Speaker 1: We're like that that number, I guarantee would have been seven,
- 12:17Speaker 1: seven and a half a couple of years ago, like
- 12:19Speaker 1: that Bengals number. But now because there's so many books
- 12:23Speaker 1: and so many professionals doing this and just so many
- 12:26Speaker 1: line movers, they can't take that big of a risk
- 12:28Speaker 1: like that money line. They couldn't hang up. You know,
- 12:32Speaker 1: if they would have hung a plus three hundred on
- 12:34Speaker 1: the Bangals in that game, they would have got swarmed
- 12:37Speaker 1: with bangals money because I just feel like the public
- 12:39Speaker 1: smarter to it at this point. So that was I
- 12:43Speaker 1: know people are gonna complain because it was kind of
- 12:44Speaker 1: an ugly, sloppy, slow game. I loved it. I thought
- 12:48Speaker 1: it had really exciting moments. All the stars showed up,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and as someone that bet the under in a dog,
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's like, those are the games we dream about, like ugly, sloppy,
- 12:58Speaker 1: stuck in the middle of the field, old getting one
- 13:01Speaker 1: yard runs with cam akers like it was just it
- 13:04Speaker 1: was just a really, really, really great game to bet on.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I don't know why anyone would say it was a
- 13:10Speaker 1: bad game to watch in any way. It was glorious.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It was a great capper to the end of the playoffs,
- 13:18Speaker 1: as we know. I am listen. I love love, I
- 13:22Speaker 1: root for narratives. I love that Aaron Donald gunna rang.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I love that Eric Weddle got a rang. I love
- 13:30Speaker 1: I love that Whitworth got a ring. Um. I love
- 13:33Speaker 1: that O b J got a ring. I love that
- 13:35Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford got a ring like all these guys who.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I love that Von Miller got another ring. I love
- 13:41Speaker 1: when teams go all in and say fuck it, fuck
- 13:44Speaker 1: anything else. We know how precious an opportunity we have
- 13:49Speaker 1: is you don't just keep perpetually building building building, like
- 13:54Speaker 1: you gotta fucking go for it. And they went for it,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and they put it all on the table and it worked,
- 14:02Speaker 1: And I think that's an amazing story. I love that story.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Something we've never seen in the history of football. They've done.
- 14:09Speaker 1: They literally did something that no team has ever tried before.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It's like not Moneyball, but it's NFL is kind of
- 14:16Speaker 1: version of it, of stars and scrubs. Like, obviously, you
- 14:18Speaker 1: have the draft, right, you have to find argue with
- 14:20Speaker 1: the best receiver ever Cooper Cup in the third round,
- 14:22Speaker 1: and use a first round pick on Aaron Donald, who's
- 14:25Speaker 1: arguably the best de tackle ever played football. But they
- 14:28Speaker 1: filled out that team right, and they had the coaching
- 14:31Speaker 1: and yeah, Chad, you're right. It's like it's again, we
- 14:35Speaker 1: might never see anything like this again. Where Tom Brady
- 14:39Speaker 1: moved to the Buccaneers when a super Bowl first year
- 14:41Speaker 1: Stafford moved to a new team and at L A.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Rams won a Super Bowl. Um, but again, we're we're
- 14:47Speaker 1: living in an era where uh not, Not that I
- 14:52Speaker 1: believe all the media hype beforehand, but we had rumors
- 14:55Speaker 1: McVeigh was going to retire after this game. We had
- 14:57Speaker 1: rumors that Aaron Donald was going to retire after the games.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So it's like, it's so much to even Again, I'm
- 15:04Speaker 1: not like, I'm not trying to project out their future,
- 15:07Speaker 1: but whatever happens after this point, said, they both retire
- 15:10Speaker 1: worth it. The Rams like who cares? Like teams? We
- 15:14Speaker 1: talked about the Troit lines like they you know, since
- 15:17Speaker 1: the NFL has existed, no super Bowl, all these different teams,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I've never won a Super Bowl. Again, we're gonna talk
- 15:22Speaker 1: about since in a second. Here about heartbreak. But for
- 15:25Speaker 1: the Rams, I I just I'm so happy that it
- 15:29Speaker 1: worked out because I loved what they did. Like I
- 15:32Speaker 1: think one of the most overrated things is draft picks
- 15:34Speaker 1: because you have to hit on the draft picks, Like
- 15:37Speaker 1: look at the first Trump picks they gave to the
- 15:39Speaker 1: Jaguars and see who the Jaguars drafted with those picks
- 15:41Speaker 1: for Ramsey. Again, Ramsey wasn't incredible last night, but he
- 15:44Speaker 1: didn't make plays down the stretch that kind of flipped
- 15:46Speaker 1: that game. So to me, it's, um, it's gonna be
- 15:50Speaker 1: cool to see what happens the next ten fifteen years,
- 15:52Speaker 1: because I do think other teams are gonna try to
- 15:54Speaker 1: go out for this model of if you hit one
- 15:56Speaker 1: of you, you hit on one or two of these
- 15:58Speaker 1: these draft picks on a superstar, you just go for
- 16:01Speaker 1: it for the next three or four year window. You
- 16:03Speaker 1: literally you sell all your you sell it all. You
- 16:06Speaker 1: just go for it that on that little run. So
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'm with you, Chat. I love that that it worked
- 16:10Speaker 1: out for the Ramps team just because it's something we've
- 16:12Speaker 1: never seen before. You do have to get so lucky
- 16:15Speaker 1: because look if Eli Apple, who was just getting like
- 16:22Speaker 1: I didn't realize the animosity in the NFL towards Eli
- 16:29Speaker 1: Apple this morning, Like Twitter feeds were being lit up
- 16:34Speaker 1: with players just sort of trolling Eli Apple. He gave
- 16:39Speaker 1: up the game when he touched down a Cooper Cup
- 16:41Speaker 1: critical holding call. It was a great game, a clean game,
- 16:45Speaker 1: and then in the last drive, it's almost like the
- 16:49Speaker 1: look a buddy of mine who doesn't watch the NFL
- 16:52Speaker 1: stop watching the NFL five years ago texted me he said,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'm watching this game because we he and I caught
- 16:58Speaker 1: up in the morning. He goes, I'm watching this game
- 17:00Speaker 1: because you and I just spoke. He goes. I'm glad
- 17:02Speaker 1: to see the fix is still in because like those
- 17:08Speaker 1: calls at the end, after fifty nine minutes of not
- 17:12Speaker 1: making any penalty calls, all of a sudden three penalty
- 17:14Speaker 1: calls when a team is driving inside the ten yard
- 17:17Speaker 1: line and they clearly are are having a hard time,
- 17:21Speaker 1: Like I feel bad for Eli Apple. I didn't realize
- 17:24Speaker 1: how much like people didn't like Eli Apple in the NFL. Yeah, honestly,
- 17:29Speaker 1: Like I'm I'm I'm trying not to be so negative
- 17:31Speaker 1: about and let it run up for me, But I
- 17:33Speaker 1: get the Bengals fans really bitching about it because it's ridiculous.
- 17:37Speaker 1: They we're letting everything go that whole game, like we
- 17:41Speaker 1: saw way worse. I mean, Jalen Ramsey literally nearly have
- 17:45Speaker 1: his head taken off by te Higgins on that touchdown. Yeah,
- 17:49Speaker 1: which again you could and it wasn't Vernon like he
- 17:52Speaker 1: didn't mean to do it obviously, who knows, Yeah, exactly
- 17:55Speaker 1: the rules rules. So I I hated it because it
- 17:59Speaker 1: was such a bad call. Like if it was the
- 18:01Speaker 1: right call, if he really did hold him, that was fair.
- 18:04Speaker 1: But man's hands were just on he wasn't there was
- 18:06Speaker 1: no grip there was no point or anything like that.
- 18:09Speaker 1: It's the fourth quarter, final three minutes of a Super Bowl.
- 18:14Speaker 1: All these guys have heavy legs, are all exhausted, like
- 18:17Speaker 1: these refs all of a sudden calling it like it's
- 18:19Speaker 1: super tight. Where these guys legs are just shot, like
- 18:22Speaker 1: you're you're just seriously running on ten percent at the
- 18:24Speaker 1: end of the game, like you've had a long day,
- 18:26Speaker 1: your emotions have been high the whole day. You would
- 18:28Speaker 1: argue one the greatest halftime shows ever, and these refs
- 18:32Speaker 1: are calling this in the final three minutes. It I
- 18:36Speaker 1: just don't want to be so angry about it because
- 18:37Speaker 1: obviously worked out for us and who knows, but it's
- 18:42Speaker 1: it's the worst. But as someone that doesn't want a
- 18:45Speaker 1: bitch about it, it's like Joe Burrow got the ball
- 18:47Speaker 1: back with a minute twenty two time outs and they
- 18:51Speaker 1: did they again, they're achilling still, the entire game was
- 18:55Speaker 1: one yard. They just couldn't fourth and one, third and ones.
- 18:59Speaker 1: They blew it in multiple ways in that game. So
- 19:02Speaker 1: I would love to hang my head on those penalties.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But they had the opportunity, had the chances to make
- 19:07Speaker 1: the place to come back to win the game, and uh,
- 19:10Speaker 1: they didn't. But yeah, obviously me and Chat as fans
- 19:14Speaker 1: of teams, I think anyone that has a real fan
- 19:17Speaker 1: base rooted for Cincinnati, like that Super Bowl means a
- 19:20Speaker 1: thousand times more to that city than it does to
- 19:23Speaker 1: Los Angeles. Like do you see people going crazy last
- 19:26Speaker 1: night in Los Angeles? Chat? Do you say any clips
- 19:27Speaker 1: of it? I haven't, haven't heard of one, but I
- 19:29Speaker 1: do know every kid is off of school today exactly, brother.
- 19:34Speaker 1: So that's that's the heartbreak for me. And not only
- 19:36Speaker 1: did I want to make money, but I love the
- 19:39Speaker 1: since storyline, and I want Cincinnati fans remember this when
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm saying or not how nice I'm being, because I'm
- 19:45Speaker 1: going to talk about your team for the next year.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, but that's just the gambler in me.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Just no, I loved your team, I loved the story,
- 19:52Speaker 1: and it was truly one of the more magical runs
- 19:54Speaker 1: I've ever seen. Vandal Sports Book is an official sports

- 21:40Speaker 1: Chris Raybond of the Action Network podcast, who all week
- 21:45Speaker 1: was telling us to bet Soma g p RN under
- 21:49Speaker 1: fourteen and a half total yards and until the last
- 21:54Speaker 1: two plays of the game, I think he was in
- 21:57Speaker 1: like the first series, and I think inexplicably sog p
- 22:02Speaker 1: Ryan was the guy who they were looking to get
- 22:06Speaker 1: them one yard. Joe Mixon hadn't lost yards the entire
- 22:10Speaker 1: day as a runner, he had as a as a receiver,
- 22:13Speaker 1: had lost any as a runner. They don't give it
- 22:16Speaker 1: to your You don't give it to your best running back.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You're bringing the guy who maybe played ten snaps the
- 22:21Speaker 1: whole game. I don't remember seeing him in anything more
- 22:23Speaker 1: than one or two. Um, you try to get him.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And still when your Joe Burrow was loft to get
- 22:30Speaker 1: into the year and the last play of the game,
- 22:33Speaker 1: he was going for Somerg p Ryan and when it
- 22:35Speaker 1: was in the year, I was thinking to myself, this
- 22:37Speaker 1: is the broken play that will get some rg P
- 22:40Speaker 1: Ryan over fourteen and a half total yards, and I'm
- 22:43Speaker 1: going to be so upset. It would be the one
- 22:44Speaker 1: thing that didn't go our way, that went close. Like
- 22:47Speaker 1: you know, Stafford obviously is a tough one. But um,
- 22:51Speaker 1: but shout out to Reybond because he nailed the Somagi
- 22:53Speaker 1: pron under prop number one. Number two. Last thing I
- 22:57Speaker 1: want to say about this because I do want to
- 23:00Speaker 1: get like um very quickly. Obviously, futures are out, We're
- 23:05Speaker 1: gonna go just so people know as we get through
- 23:08Speaker 1: the next few months, we're gonna go deep on NFL futures.
- 23:12Speaker 1: We're gonna go deep on NFL draft, like between now
- 23:15Speaker 1: and May. That is going to be a consistent theme
- 23:18Speaker 1: in the podcast that Simon and I are talking about.
- 23:20Speaker 1: NFL betting doesn't end, and between free agency and the draft,
- 23:23Speaker 1: the futures market is wide open. So like QB carousel
- 23:27Speaker 1: that we're about to have exactly right. And so like
- 23:30Speaker 1: you're looking at Denver, you're looking at Carolina like last year,
- 23:33Speaker 1: how can you predict where Aaron Rodgers is going to be?
- 23:35Speaker 1: And where Deshaun Watson is going to go, and all
- 23:37Speaker 1: these kinds of things. I want to get to that.
- 23:39Speaker 1: The one last thing I'll say about Cincinnati. It was
- 23:44Speaker 1: weird to me. Look, we were because you mentioned this
- 23:49Speaker 1: the night of the NFC and NFC title games. We
- 23:51Speaker 1: got on the podcast, we did a quick video, a
- 23:54Speaker 1: live video, and then you know cut it and talked
- 23:57Speaker 1: about how we like Cincinnati. We didn't understand why the
- 24:00Speaker 1: line was moving up. It made no sense. Cincinnati, I
- 24:03Speaker 1: think only in three games this year lost by more
- 24:06Speaker 1: than three points. Um. People would say, well, it's flukey
- 24:10Speaker 1: the way they keep winning in the playoffs and whatever. Whatever,
- 24:13Speaker 1: It's not flukey if it keeps happening. It's part of
- 24:15Speaker 1: their makeup. It's part of their offense. It's part of
- 24:17Speaker 1: why they are who they are. They get down early,
- 24:19Speaker 1: they're explosive, they make the right play one at a time.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Joe Burrow has you know, it's not magic, it's a skill.
- 24:24Speaker 1: When things break down, he's seeing things more slowly. That's
- 24:28Speaker 1: why they were the right side. It never made sense
- 24:30Speaker 1: to me that this number kept growing up and the
- 24:32Speaker 1: money kept coming in on the rams. That's the last
- 24:34Speaker 1: thing I'll say about it. Yeah, and again it's it
- 24:39Speaker 1: did I we talked about it made more sense to
- 24:41Speaker 1: me once I hung out with other professionals and I
- 24:43Speaker 1: just found how much they just love that Rams team,
- 24:45Speaker 1: where it's like, okay, because we talked all the time.
- 24:47Speaker 1: We said all week we made the line three. I
- 24:49Speaker 1: thought the Rams should be minus three. They were the
- 24:51Speaker 1: better team. They not more consistent, but there was just
- 24:56Speaker 1: more they're to believe in than there were on this
- 24:59Speaker 1: bangals team. But like you talked about the pros, they
- 25:03Speaker 1: thought they had a good number. They betted up the
- 25:05Speaker 1: four and a half. We saw a touch five and
- 25:07Speaker 1: a couple of books for a little while, which was crazy.
- 25:09Speaker 1: But um, we talked all the time about the key
- 25:12Speaker 1: numbers and a four four and a half that was
- 25:16Speaker 1: truly never ended doubt, Like even if they had made
- 25:19Speaker 1: that extra point, we were still going to cover that
- 25:20Speaker 1: half a point anyway at the four and a half. So, um,
- 25:24Speaker 1: I I want people to remember this, Like again, that's
- 25:27Speaker 1: my whole the reason for being on here is there's
- 25:29Speaker 1: a little tips and tricks I'm giving out. That's just
- 25:31Speaker 1: when we talked about the time that we don't know
- 25:33Speaker 1: how we get there, why it ends up with the
- 25:35Speaker 1: way it does, but three and four. For some reason,
- 25:38Speaker 1: Super Bowls always end up on these numbers. They rarely
- 25:41Speaker 1: ever end up on one and two. And I've heard
- 25:43Speaker 1: all the fans coming back to me about Matt Mitchell's
- 25:47Speaker 1: Bills team playing the Giants. Um, I guess that game
- 25:50Speaker 1: did land one. But my whole point was about historically
- 25:53Speaker 1: just does not land on one or two. And that's
- 25:55Speaker 1: why I bet the minus two and a half in
- 25:57Speaker 1: the Bengals, which was looking like a genius until the
- 25:59Speaker 1: final two minutes of that game. So, um, just something
- 26:03Speaker 1: for people to remember in the future. It's like we
- 26:05Speaker 1: had a guy on we did uh a call on Twitter.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I don't even know what it's called. Yeah, so it's
- 26:12Speaker 1: like something someplace where like a bunch of people can talk.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I don't even describe it. It's like, uh, everyone can talk,
- 26:18Speaker 1: but only one people know you're the eighty year old
- 26:21Speaker 1: on this call. People know what alright, so people know
- 26:24Speaker 1: what it is. So basically you can have people come
- 26:26Speaker 1: on say things. And we had a guy come on
- 26:27Speaker 1: and say he was taking the rams just money line
- 26:30Speaker 1: and I wasn't trying to badge him. I just said
- 26:32Speaker 1: it's not a smart bet to take the minus two hundred,
- 26:34Speaker 1: where if you're scared you just take the Bengals, you
- 26:37Speaker 1: take the points at minus one tent And that's why
- 26:40Speaker 1: long term, that's how you make money. You don't make
- 26:42Speaker 1: money taken been two hundred and a hundred. You win
- 26:46Speaker 1: money by betting two hundred and win one nineties. So
- 26:48Speaker 1: that was my whole point. It's like, if you were
- 26:50Speaker 1: scared enough to take the Rams money line, you should
- 26:52Speaker 1: just be taking the Bengals at four and a half.
- 26:54Speaker 1: And that that's something I want people to kind of
- 26:56Speaker 1: remember for next year, where it's like you like the dog,
- 26:58Speaker 1: like I do, I take the spread and then start
- 27:01Speaker 1: taking the money. Lie, I take the minus two and
- 27:02Speaker 1: a half. It's not I'm not reworking the wheel here.
- 27:05Speaker 1: It's very simple, but it works for me long term.
- 27:08Speaker 1: As you would say, Simon Hunter, scared money, don't make money. Amen, brother,
- 27:13Speaker 1: All right, listen before we get out of here real quickly.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Future is already out Chiefs seven and a half to one,
- 27:19Speaker 1: Bill seven and a half to run, Rams ten to one,
- 27:22Speaker 1: Cowboys fourteen to one, nine Ers fourteen to one, Bengals
- 27:25Speaker 1: fourteen to one Packers. Uh currently sixteen to one, and
- 27:31Speaker 1: then there's a you know, a uh quartet of teams
- 27:36Speaker 1: in the two range Ravens, Broncos, Bus, Titans. Have you
- 27:41Speaker 1: made any futures bets immediately? Oh yeah, so people. My
- 27:46Speaker 1: My biggest rule for making futures bet is you never
- 27:50Speaker 1: bet less than one. Okay, if you if you're betting
- 27:54Speaker 1: less than twenty one, you were giving sports books free
- 27:56Speaker 1: money because you're you're kind of taking away your own value.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I'm betting that number glass year perfect example. At this
- 28:01Speaker 1: point last year, I believe the one. If you just waited,
- 28:05Speaker 1: you could have got them twenty to one heading into
- 28:07Speaker 1: the playoffs, which we were like literally one play away
- 28:09Speaker 1: from them making the superl the four niner. So I
- 28:12Speaker 1: never bet future is less than twenty one. So immediately
- 28:15Speaker 1: right when the market opened, Pittsburgh Steelers love, love, love
- 28:19Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Steelers. Love that they are going to be one
- 28:21Speaker 1: of these teams in the market for a quarterback. They
- 28:24Speaker 1: have the defense. We already know that right now with
- 28:27Speaker 1: Fandal they're seventy one one. Get this Pittsburgh team, which
- 28:30Speaker 1: we know is one of the better defenses. All that's
- 28:33Speaker 1: missing as a quarterback. They have great weapons, on offense too,
- 28:35Speaker 1: so that if they can get Watson, if they can
- 28:39Speaker 1: somehow get Rogers at the NFC and bring them to
- 28:41Speaker 1: the FC, it's like that's an immediate boost. Um, you're
- 28:46Speaker 1: you're not gonna be a find. My other favorite better
- 28:48Speaker 1: is right now, which I mean, you could take the
- 28:50Speaker 1: Ravens if you wanted to a one to one. But
- 28:53Speaker 1: I love this Ravens value coming to this season because
- 28:57Speaker 1: you're still gonna have people that are gonna like the
- 28:58Speaker 1: Browns and Cincinnati. You're gonna have all the hype coming
- 29:01Speaker 1: to the season. So if we're getting the third seed
- 29:04Speaker 1: in the NFC North and it's the Ravens, you know,
- 29:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna love that. Chad, they were the most injured
- 29:09Speaker 1: team in football. You're gonna get really good value on
- 29:12Speaker 1: the team that just will not have that same injury
- 29:14Speaker 1: history next year. They'll be healthier. They're much better than
- 29:17Speaker 1: their record show this year. Um, So that's one of
- 29:21Speaker 1: those people need to be in to look at. But
- 29:22Speaker 1: right now, most books legal books at least, they're only
- 29:25Speaker 1: a super Bowl features. So if I'm just gonna throw
- 29:27Speaker 1: a shot in the dark one, uh, Pittsburgh, I like
- 29:32Speaker 1: that number. That's that's a really good price. And then
- 29:35Speaker 1: I hate to do it to us again, chat, but
- 29:37Speaker 1: we're simply just playing value here. Atlanta Falcons six to one.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Who's to say they're not the best team right now
- 29:43Speaker 1: in the NFC South. Okay, we know the Bucks don't
- 29:46Speaker 1: have a quarterback. We know Carolina sure I Sall doesn't
- 29:49Speaker 1: have a quarterback. So right now, sixty to one for
- 29:53Speaker 1: a team that could win their division to get home field,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'll take that in Atlanta. I feel like that's good
- 29:57Speaker 1: value as we sit here in a day after the
- 29:59Speaker 1: Super Bowl. So Atlanta Pittsburgh gets gross to ugly, but
- 30:04Speaker 1: that's great value. All Right. There you have it. We've
- 30:09Speaker 1: run down the Super Bowl, We've recapped our season, we've
- 30:14Speaker 1: confirmed our love for each other on Valentine's Day, and
- 30:19Speaker 1: now we have already kicked off the race for Super
- 30:24Speaker 1: Bowl fifty seven, putting futures on the Ravens the Steelers,
- 30:29Speaker 1: and we're still in Atlanta Falcons podcast. We began the
- 30:32Speaker 1: season as an Atlanta Falcons podcast. We end the season
- 30:36Speaker 1: as an Atlanta Falcons podcast. This is the official bow
- 30:40Speaker 1: we're putting on season. Simon Hunter, you're the best you'll
- 30:47Speaker 1: be with us all through the off season. We're gonna
