- 0:35Speaker 4: we read it out, you get a fifty dollars Reburg about.
- 0:37Speaker 5: You unless you've already had one. You've already had one.
- 0:39Speaker 6: Yes, Yeah, we can't be doing that otherwise.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Reburger they get up in arms about it, especially after.
- 0:45Speaker 6: The Reburger vy Burger incident.
- 0:47Speaker 5: Exactly. We're hanging on by a three deer fellas.
- 0:49Speaker 7: So this email has come in from anonymous oh yeah
- 0:54Speaker 7: at gmail dot com.
- 0:55Speaker 6: Hey Fellers.
- 0:56Speaker 7: I'm sure Hoody Jers is grateful for the European travel
- 0:59Speaker 7: tips given them, but I find myself needing some travel
- 1:02Speaker 7: tips before I head.
- 1:03Speaker 6: To Vietnam at the end of the month.
- 1:05Speaker 5: If I could just.
- 1:07Speaker 6: I have most of the town good.
- 1:10Speaker 7: I have most of the travel plans sorted just a
- 1:12Speaker 7: bit of an add a bit of a loss in
- 1:14Speaker 7: regards to money, Like I thought it was wise to
- 1:16Speaker 7: get a Wise travel.
- 1:17Speaker 6: Card, but have been told it's best to have some
- 1:19Speaker 6: cash on hand.
- 1:19Speaker 7: Also, I heard you can get good exchange rates as well,
- 1:22Speaker 7: but that makes me nervous, Houidy J nervous to get
- 1:26Speaker 7: the exchange over there.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Houdy J is the Vietnam travel expert. What did you do?
- 1:29Speaker 7: Like, I'm thinking of getting my dong out at the airport.
- 1:32Speaker 7: What would you recommend?
- 1:33Speaker 3: Thank you, I amnonymous, definitely get your dong out at
- 1:36Speaker 3: the airport at which end?
- 1:39Speaker 2: Both ends?
- 1:40Speaker 3: I would go Jesus, why the Wise card because bloody good?
- 1:45Speaker 3: And it is good to get a bit of dong
- 1:48Speaker 3: as well, because there's a lot of really small little
- 1:51Speaker 3: places on the pavement there where people are sort of,
- 1:54Speaker 3: you know, doing their.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Business as it were, taking a shit.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Doing their business like selling you running a business selling
- 2:03Speaker 3: coffees and stuff like that, and they don't have you know,
- 2:06Speaker 3: ift poss machines.
- 2:07Speaker 2: And all that sort of stuff.
- 2:09Speaker 6: If I mean, I mean that's the correct pronunciation.
- 2:13Speaker 5: Ift pass such a hard ta in it before.
- 2:16Speaker 3: So you know, it's really nice to have a bit
- 2:18Speaker 3: of cash because there were a lot of times where
- 2:19Speaker 3: I was like, oh damn it, Yeah, because I want
- 2:22Speaker 3: to buy something from them to just support them.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and I've got no damn cash on me.
- 2:26Speaker 6: You don't get your dongue out.
- 2:27Speaker 4: No, you didn't have dog in hand, awesome dying and
- 2:30Speaker 4: your wallet because especially a place in Southeast Asia, like
- 2:33Speaker 4: I've done you, Cambodia's have done your, Singapore's have done
- 2:36Speaker 4: your you know those kind of areas Malaysias, I find.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You want to have about.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Sixty forty split of digital cash being sixty on your
- 2:47Speaker 4: wise card there because you can always get more out, yes,
- 2:49Speaker 4: and with your wives card or other travel cards. You
- 2:52Speaker 4: can use an ATM machine even if you feel it's
- 2:54Speaker 4: a bit dodgy because they can only access what you've
- 2:56Speaker 4: got on your account, which you can just make sure
- 2:58Speaker 4: you've got five hundred bucks in there, right what I mean? Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 4: and you want forty dong because all the best food,
- 3:05Speaker 4: you know, the authentic.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Stuff you can't use eftpust.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to get you have to go dong.
- 3:11Speaker 5: You have to go dong.
- 3:13Speaker 3: That's actually very good advice, kis because that's pretty much
- 3:15Speaker 3: what we did, about sixty percent on the card and
- 3:19Speaker 3: about forty percent dong.
- 3:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 3:21Speaker 5: The other thing too, here's a piece of advice. Don't
- 3:23Speaker 5: go to the airport.
- 3:24Speaker 4: They go to one of the ones like it malls
- 3:27Speaker 4: around New Zealand. They have currency exchanges, yes, and if
- 3:31Speaker 4: you are going to you know, as for example, Cambodia,
- 3:35Speaker 4: their currency is US dollar and they'll give you change
- 3:39Speaker 4: in their local currency, which is less valuable. But they
- 3:42Speaker 4: won't accept a note if it's got.
- 3:43Speaker 5: A tear or anything weird on it.
- 3:45Speaker 4: So ask for brand new bills, which these currency exchanges
- 3:49Speaker 4: often do have, especially the ones at malls, right, okay,
- 3:52Speaker 4: and so like go to the mall like a week out,
- 3:54Speaker 4: get it locked in, get brand new bills because they're
- 3:56Speaker 4: a bit effy about it over in Southeast Asia.
- 4:00Speaker 5: This is that was comprehensive.
- 4:02Speaker 6: That was very serious advice.
- 4:03Speaker 2: It was very good advice.
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of out a place, right, so I
- 4:06Speaker 4: guess also get divorced.
- 4:08Speaker 1: The Hodarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio
- 4:11Speaker 1: hold Ike is.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Indeed the Rolling Stones there on the radio Hodarcky Big Show.
- 4:16Speaker 2: There's Wednesday night fels.
- 4:20Speaker 6: fALS I need some advice from you.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Go, Do you need a lot of advice? PUDs?
- 4:25Speaker 3: How do you just take a grip of your life
- 4:27Speaker 3: and just deal with stuff here?
- 4:28Speaker 4: Or do what everyone else does and email us meet
- 4:31Speaker 4: patting sixty gmail dot com.
- 4:32Speaker 2: You might have win a voucher if you do that.
- 4:34Speaker 6: A reburger one. Yes, God forbid that.
- 4:37Speaker 7: I come to two fellas that I trust and I
- 4:40Speaker 7: know have a hell of a lot of experience in radio,
- 4:43Speaker 7: and they've made good radio, and they've made ship radio.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And some of them are even old rams put out
- 4:48Speaker 7: to what is that old shafts or something like?
- 4:50Speaker 3: Can I give you some advice right off the bad here?
- 4:52Speaker 3: Parks on You're a fool to trust us?
- 4:56Speaker 7: Fantastic, Well, this is actually financial advice, Jason. I know
- 4:59Speaker 7: you have a whole segment on here called my partner
- 5:05Speaker 7: went to this free investment that went to this free
- 5:10Speaker 7: investment seminar over here at the office today that they
- 5:13Speaker 7: put on for people that are budding investors or maybe
- 5:16Speaker 7: looking to see if it's for them.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Right.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Do they have snacks and stuff? Club sandwiches and that
- 5:22Speaker 2: sort of carry out?
- 5:22Speaker 5: Is this jas free pizza?
- 5:26Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 5:26Speaker 2: I mean not big on pizza. But anyway, and.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Basically, my partner came over after the after the seminar there,
- 5:31Speaker 7: and she had she handed me a brochure on getting
- 5:34Speaker 7: into investment investing with this app and a piece of
- 5:38Speaker 7: pizza as well, and I just wondered if you guys
- 5:40Speaker 7: might be able to give me some advice on getting
- 5:42Speaker 7: into investing because I know anything about it. I didn't
- 5:44Speaker 7: go to the seminar, but I don't really I kind
- 5:47Speaker 7: of want to sound like I know what I'm talking about.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah, So the first thing you need to know rule
- 5:50Speaker 4: one of the first day of investing school. The first lesson,
- 5:54Speaker 4: the teacher walks and let's say the teacher's name is
- 5:57Speaker 4: Professor Keasey teaching investment.
- 5:59Speaker 8: What I one.
- 6:00Speaker 4: He gets out his piece of chalk, he writes, hello,
- 6:03Speaker 4: my name is Professor Keasey on the whiteboard, really loud
- 6:06Speaker 4: and sort of screechy. Yes, And then he turns around.
- 6:08Speaker 4: He says four words by high selo yeah, man, what
- 6:15Speaker 4: and then he throws the duster at the dude in
- 6:17Speaker 4: the front, saying, by what I haven't finished yet stocks.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Okay, so that's five words in all seriousness A good
- 6:26Speaker 3: investment at the moment, because I follow the markets religiously,
- 6:30Speaker 3: witch markets, the stock markets and all that sort of stuff.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Property markets, a veggy markets, Facebook market. You know what's
- 6:38Speaker 3: hot property at the moment.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Property mrcans.
- 6:43Speaker 2: American is like fake pubic here.
- 6:46Speaker 5: It's a wig for you downstairs.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Yes, so you can. You know, you have them in
- 6:50Speaker 3: all sorts of like heart shape example there.
- 6:53Speaker 6: You have to get rid of your existing here, yes.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you definitely would. So what you could do is
- 7:00Speaker 4: go get a little pamphlet on mrcins. Yes, and then
- 7:03Speaker 4: you know how she because you were saying that she
- 7:05Speaker 4: gave you the pamphlet with the pizza on top, and
- 7:07Speaker 4: then you ate the pizza and was, oh, what's this
- 7:09Speaker 4: underneath the pamphlet? Yeah, do the same thing, but food
- 7:11Speaker 4: that she likes to get a big pile of tofu
- 7:13Speaker 4: and just put it on top of a mercant pamphlet. Yes,
- 7:15Speaker 4: and then hand that you say, daddy's ken to do
- 7:19Speaker 4: some investing. Huh, I didn see how you get on?
- 7:24Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 7:24Speaker 5: I reckon ah cheers, no anything else you need? Man,
- 7:27Speaker 5: you're good. Nah, I think I think I'm rare.
- 7:29Speaker 3: And you could do what Keysy's done in MS. If
- 7:31Speaker 3: you're going to be sensible with your money. Have like fifty.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Accounts, that's right, Yeah, have a fun account, you know what.
- 7:36Speaker 5: I'm good. You could have a wacky tattoo account.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Ah The Holdiching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 7:44Speaker 1: tune in week days and four on Radio Holdarchy.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I am there on the Radio Hodikey Big Show this
- 7:51Speaker 3: Wednesday afternoon, New Zealand thirteen for one.
- 7:53Speaker 2: What Dave is that, Maggie the seventh.
- 7:55Speaker 8: We're in the seventh seventh completed.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Now chasing one seventy five for the now Fellas.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I'm a pretty chill fella. I think you'd all agree,
- 8:05Speaker 3: wouldn't you?
- 8:05Speaker 5: So chill man, shit your chill.
- 8:08Speaker 3: But every now and then something really really.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Fires me up?
- 8:13Speaker 5: Does it bug you?
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:16Speaker 5: Bugging?
- 8:20Speaker 3: And I was chatting to old Pugstan there in Studio
- 8:23Speaker 3: B and he was telling me about a plan he
- 8:26Speaker 3: had for dinner, and initially I thought it was a
- 8:30Speaker 3: pest take, but he's deadly serious and it's his plan
- 8:34Speaker 3: to make a tofu carbonara right, And I don't know.
- 8:42Speaker 3: There was just something about that that enraged me so much.
- 8:46Speaker 3: And I think you a little bit too keasy. The
- 8:51Speaker 3: most disgusting idea I have ever heard, and I think
- 8:56Speaker 3: I still don't know if he's taking the pesto or not.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Are you taking the pistol of that men with the
- 9:02Speaker 6: tofuo carbonaras of it?
- 9:03Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 9:04Speaker 5: No, no, Jason.
- 9:05Speaker 7: Let me start by saying, I am thrilled to hear
- 9:10Speaker 7: that even today, something.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Really fires you up, man.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Totally, even at your right page of thirty nine is
- 9:18Speaker 7: thirty nine?
- 9:20Speaker 5: Track of what's going on here?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Moggie? What are your thoughts on there? Are tofu carbinara?
- 9:25Speaker 8: Can you tell me the ingredients of a kebinarase?
- 9:29Speaker 3: If I'm correct, the carbinara is like your pursuito or
- 9:32Speaker 3: bacon with raw egg that you just sort of tossed through. Yes, um,
- 9:38Speaker 3: and it's and lots of parmesan cheese, older dum. You
- 9:43Speaker 3: don't actually cook the egg, you just put it in
- 9:45Speaker 3: the the cooked pasta. And the idea of having some floaty,
- 9:51Speaker 3: flappy bits of tasteless white tofu and a beautiful, rich
- 9:58Speaker 3: carbinara is it.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's a culinary disgrace.
- 10:02Speaker 9: Well from my point of view, having been a vegan
- 10:04Speaker 9: for four years and a vegetarian for three years after that,
- 10:07Speaker 9: and now.
- 10:07Speaker 8: A shocking bastard with the meat.
- 10:09Speaker 9: Shocker, you say, Jose, it's tasteless for me. It adds
- 10:14Speaker 9: a certain texture pug Son, And I don't think you're
- 10:18Speaker 9: robbing yourself of anything. But what you are doing is
- 10:21Speaker 9: you're giving yourself a bit of protein, which by and
- 10:23Speaker 9: large that that cabinara is going to lack. Yes, now
- 10:27Speaker 9: I have I tasted it. It might be an abomination,
- 10:30Speaker 9: absolutely shocking, but I haven't tasted it, so I'm not
- 10:34Speaker 9: prepared to make him walk the plank just yet.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Yeah, Pugs, So you just enjoy your meal, all right? Hey,
- 10:40Speaker 5: thanks fellas.
- 10:40Speaker 8: But you were saying you thought it was shocking.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, what To be honest, my final question was
- 10:45Speaker 4: going to be, Pugs, Hello, is Jace coming around to
- 10:48Speaker 4: your house for dinner tonight?
- 10:50Speaker 2: You can man, none of you're going to serve up
- 10:54Speaker 2: that foul tripe?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Right, Okay, so he's not coming to your house for
- 10:57Speaker 5: dinner tonight. What's the issue?
- 11:00Speaker 3: Well, but the issue is that you know, I have
- 11:02Speaker 3: a very high opinion of old Pugsn's general caulinary skills.
- 11:08Speaker 2: His sticky beef.
- 11:10Speaker 3: One of the things it has spicy eggs, for example,
- 11:13Speaker 3: but chilly eggs.
- 11:15Speaker 2: All that sort of stuff.
- 11:16Speaker 3: And he's just gone overboard lately with the tofu, and.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I wonder, I wonder if he's been.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Pretty he's been pressured into consuming vast quantities of tofu
- 11:28Speaker 3: because of a certain person.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Yeah, Old Mogi.
- 11:33Speaker 1: The Hodaking Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy tune
- 11:36Speaker 1: in week days at four on Radio Hodaki.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Cold War Kids.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Here on the Radio Hodarky Big Show this Thursday afternoon.
- 11:44Speaker 2: The time is five forty five.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Breaking news, fellows, this is breaking news.
- 11:55Speaker 5: We just did breaking news before.
- 11:57Speaker 8: This is even older things?
- 12:00Speaker 4: Do we just stop doing breaking news unless it's like, hey,
- 12:02Speaker 4: this is breaking No.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I just assumed it was breaking.
- 12:04Speaker 9: I think anything that's out of a newspaper or news
- 12:07Speaker 9: site is breaking news.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Okay, Well, in that case, breaking news failers. We're going
- 12:14Speaker 4: to start keeping an eye out for invasive wasp species
- 12:18Speaker 4: species species, species, species, species, species, species, species species species.
- 12:30Speaker 8: Confident. I just want to be sure.
- 12:33Speaker 5: I just want to be confident next time I say.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Species species species. Cool predator queen hornets. Right, they're about
- 12:43Speaker 4: two to three cinemets and lengthy. We've got yellow legs
- 12:48Speaker 4: and they primarily hunt and eat honeybees you're joking, And
- 12:54Speaker 4: two of.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Them have been spotted on the north shore here.
- 12:56Speaker 4: My god. They are a shocking bastard because they hang around.
- 13:01Speaker 4: This is how you can kind of spot them. They're
- 13:03Speaker 4: bigger than the average bee obviously, and and wasp two
- 13:07Speaker 4: to three cinemas. As I said, they hang around bee
- 13:10Speaker 4: hives trying to get in there and kill them and
- 13:12Speaker 4: eat them. All right, so we're going to keep an
- 13:14Speaker 4: eye out. No, it's terribly terrible for the neighborhood.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Yeah, they must get themselves in some pretty sticky situations.
- 13:23Speaker 4: What the the invasive species? Yes, what do you mean
- 13:27Speaker 4: by that?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Well, going inside the hives there.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Well, yeah, obviously.
- 13:31Speaker 2: There's only one of them in about a million bees.
- 13:36Speaker 8: They're just wasting them.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 3: My view is if one wasp can do that to
- 13:39Speaker 3: a whole bee hive, good luck to.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Them, but it could massively impact the honey bee industry.
- 13:45Speaker 8: The bees are got to stick up for themselves.
- 13:47Speaker 5: But it's an invasive species.
- 13:49Speaker 4: It's like when all the little flightless birds are running
- 13:51Speaker 4: around New Zealand and all of a sudden there were
- 13:52Speaker 4: cats and stoats and possums here.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Yeah, they're not equipped to deal with it.
- 13:56Speaker 4: The someone's broad in these wasps, and I was thinking
- 13:59Speaker 4: we can help out the big show us as a
- 14:03Speaker 4: NUS talking right now, face to face, we can help
- 14:06Speaker 4: out right because.
- 14:07Speaker 9: Thing and who can we help the because the hornets
- 14:10Speaker 9: have got to cover they're wasting the piece.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Now we're not gonna We're not gonna help the hornets.
- 14:14Speaker 4: What do you think we're going to.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Like breed them or something, track.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Them down, breathe them and then feed them. Be yes, No,
- 14:22Speaker 5: that's not what I've suggesting. Yes, I was suggesting we
- 14:25Speaker 5: help with that. Yeah, hey, easily made.
- 14:30Speaker 4: We help hunt down wasps and help people sort of
- 14:34Speaker 4: like because you don't know what they are. Because wasps
- 14:35Speaker 4: are tiny, you can catch one.
- 14:37Speaker 5: Go, that's a weird. Look at what wasp I reckon?
- 14:38Speaker 4: We get we set up a thing where people can
- 14:40Speaker 4: send them into us and a little container they can
- 14:44Speaker 4: still be alive, just in case it's not one of
- 14:46Speaker 4: those wasps, because so we can set it free. And
- 14:49Speaker 4: then we send them in and we get pugsun and
- 14:50Speaker 4: Studio b b Ee to sort of just open them,
- 14:55Speaker 4: figure out which kind of wasp they are and if
- 14:57Speaker 4: they are innocent, sit them free and if they're the
- 14:59Speaker 4: bad wasps, kill them and disposed of them.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Nice.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I'm pretty busy at the moment, Kezy. I haven't really
- 15:05Speaker 3: got time to fart around looking for wasps.
- 15:08Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 15:09Speaker 5: Did you listen to my planet? Doesn't involve you doing anything?
- 15:11Speaker 2: Okay, then I'm in.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Okay sweet, Actually no, I've thought about it. I reckon,
- 15:17Speaker 4: we go back to that first plan. Let's breed the
- 15:18Speaker 4: wasp and feed the moneybeit.
- 15:20Speaker 8: It's the thing man, Just think of the power.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Yeah, true that man.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Good stuff, Fellers, Oh dear me, Silver Chair.
- 15:38Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big Show week days from four on Radio
- 15:41Speaker 1: Hdarchy
