- 0:00Out. I don't quit. I don't throw in the tower. I don't
- 0:03give up. So I kept on, I kept on going. I don't
- 0:12know what it is that it is coming fourth on tonight, that the enemy
- 0:18don't want to come forward. I'm here and I bind that spirit. It's
- 0:25got this, it's gotta go, it gotta go, gotta go, gotta
- 0:28go, gotta go. But I thank you for hanging around. And yes,
- 0:45I was going to say to the end, doctor Richelle, can you
- 0:51hear me, I tell you, let me be busy, but I press
- 1:04and and I sometimes people have to see stuff like this. It is a
- 1:10process and sometimes we have to go through some things so that we can see
- 1:15something. But yeah, mm hmm, thank you for hanging around. Please
- 1:26introduce yourself. Okay, I'm doctor Rochelle McMillan. And again this goes along
- 1:34with what I was going to talk about tonight. I did not know that
- 1:38we were going to you would see it live. But I was gonna talk
- 1:42about don't give up, and this happened. And so I am doctor Rochelle
- 1:49McMillan. I'm excited to be here. I love God. I'm a lover
- 1:55of God's word. A little bit about myself is that I do a lot
- 2:00of apostolic things in the Lord's Church. I love doing seminars. I work
- 2:07in higher education, so I love education being in education over almost twenty years
- 2:12now. I work as a in higher education as a dean. So I've
- 2:15been doing that for about seven years at this university. And so I'm an
- 2:21author. I'm a mom to a girl, mom to my daughters, and
- 2:29I just really love doing what God told me to do. I love traveling.
- 2:36Seafood is my favorite thing. I always try to, you know,
- 2:39make sure that I throw that in there as well. But the most important
- 2:43thing is that I operate as a servant leader and I do believe in serving
- 2:50others and serving the community, serving God and working in my capacity, and
- 2:54so that's what I love to do. I love to teach, I love
- 2:58doing seminars. I love helping people. And that's what it's all about,
- 3:04is operating outside the four walls of the church, because that's where the real
- 3:07ministry is and getting the word out there. And I don't allow others to
- 3:15box me in. If you will, because as if you're a person that
- 3:20has many talents and gifts, sometimes you can lose your identity by allowing people
- 3:25to box you in. When God has called us to liberty. God has
- 3:30called us to freedom, and God has called us to do different things.
- 3:35And it's so much work that we can do that we don't have time from
- 3:38comparison, competition or jealousy. We don't have time for that because it's so
- 3:45much work for us to do in the community and our families, amongst our
- 3:50friends. So I believe in working in my assignment. Wow wow ooh,
- 4:09you do a lot. And I tell you I, I too believe in
- 4:15being a servant, a servant leader. I tell people all the time,
- 4:19in order to be a leader, you have to be a servant first.
- 4:23And I truly education. I love education too. I'm in school right now,
- 4:31trying to work on my masters, and everything I do, I want
- 4:38to be able to to drop a little noghe knowledge, empower somebody, encourage
- 4:45somebody to to stay on this journey and let them know that no, it's
- 4:49not gonna always be either. Because you look at me here thirty years later,
- 4:57sun cum Lati, you know who thought so. I I'm just excited
- 5:05about life because God gave me a second chance. You know, you're looking
- 5:11at a suicide attempt survivor, vialent survivor, And he gave me an outlet
- 5:17of books and outlet of being a motivational speaker and doing these podcasts and allowing
- 5:27individuals to come on and share their gifts and their talents and to try to
- 5:32lead the next person on this journey. So I'm grateful. I'm grateful to
- 5:42just be a vessel that that's that can be used, that's willing to be
- 5:46used. Use me up, Lord, That's what I say. Yeah.
- 5:54And you know the thing too, is that, like a poem was saying,
- 5:59the k out of this world? There's so much going on in this
- 6:04world. As a leader, what are some things that you could say to
- 6:14someone that's tuned in tonight to encourage them. I also do prison ministry and
- 6:21on this journey, working with those individuals that's incarcerated, some females, some
- 6:29males. There are a lot of individuals taking their own lives because they can't
- 6:34handle the stresses of depending gentry and what goes on behind those those four walls
- 6:45that a lot of people don't understand. But what would you say to someone
- 6:55to silence some of the chaos that may be going on around them. I
- 7:01think the most important thing to silence, I call it silence their inner cry
- 7:08or silence or screams that's going on on the inside, is that you must
- 7:13be have peace with God and the peace of God and peace with yourself.
- 7:18They're called silent screams. That's what I like to call them. Sometimes we
- 7:23have silent screams that's going on on the inside of us. And the most
- 7:27important thing that I can really encourage someone to do is deal with those solid
- 7:32screams. Deal with where you are in your life. You know, if
- 7:38you're dealing with rejection, hatred, anger, resentment, don't allow those things
- 7:43to rule your mind and rule your life, if that makes sense. Don't
- 7:47allow you know those things and connect yourself around people that won't tolerate you.
- 7:56But celebrate your milestones, cry with you, encourage you, hold you accountable.
- 8:03And I think that is the most important thing. It's a process.
- 8:05It might take you, know you went to school, it might take you
- 8:09six months to accomplish your goal. But every milestone have celebrate who you are,
- 8:16you know, and don't lose your identity in the process. Sometimes I
- 8:22know that a lot of people are dealing with solid screens because they don't know
- 8:24who they are, They don't know that they belong to God, and you
- 8:28have to develop a good prayer life. One thing that I found that was
- 8:33very helpful is when the walls are craving in and you feel that you don't
- 8:37have a voice, write in a journal. Don't allow anything to muzzle your
- 8:43voice, to make you lose your dream, to make you lose your voice,
- 8:48because when you begin to stop speaking, those thoughts become louder. And
- 8:54so having a great prayer life helps. Having a great accountability partner help,
- 9:00and most importantly, making sure that you understand that it's okay not to be
- 9:05okay. Like you know, sometimes we have so many unexpected expectations on ourself.
- 9:13They're not realistic. We feel like we have to please everyone. And
- 9:18the Lord really dealt with me and said, but I'm pleased with you.
- 9:22You know, let everything that you're doing be pleasing to God. I'm not
- 9:26trying to please anyone else, you know, and stop placing unrealistic expectations on
- 9:31yourself and deal and enjoy life. We can miss so many beautiful moments by
- 9:39living up to others' expectations, and so I encourage even everyone you know to
- 9:46stop, think praise and pray. Stop think praise and pray and you begin
- 9:56to stop. That means you have mental breaks throughout the day and you begin
- 10:01to think. Think about what you're doing right, think about what doesn't need
- 10:05to be on your schedule for today, think about you know, the bullets
- 10:09that you want to have done. Stop think praise, and I begin to
- 10:13make sure every hour I have a praise break. It may not be loud,
- 10:18it may not, but I am like God, thank you for letting
- 10:22me meet these deadlines by twelve o'clock. That brings so much joy, and
- 10:26that boosts your positive affirmations. Like having positive affirmations. Rachelle, you can
- 10:31do it, you know, stay focused, being focused. And I said,
- 10:35stop think praise, praise God, and praise yourself and praise others around
- 10:41you, and then pray every hour of the day. I try to make
- 10:46sure that I'm calling out someone's name in prayer. And it may be a
- 10:50whisper, it may be you know, Lord, just touch this person,
- 10:54to touch the people that work at Col's. You know, taking time to
- 10:58pray and eny on life, you know, live love, laugh, find
- 11:03time to live, love, laugh and enjoy life is what I encourage someone
- 11:07to do and don't allow anything to make you lose your voice. Wow,
- 11:18so I know you. You briefly mentioned that you were an author inspirational books.
- 11:28What type of books do you write? Because I know just from listening
- 11:35to you that they have to be overflowing with wisdom and knowledge. Thank you,
- 11:43I really wrote you know, It's just like I just stumbled into this.
- 11:46I was a dean at the DC campus and I had a lot of
- 11:50different students. I really thought God was like setting me up right, and
- 11:56I would cry because I did not know how to you my gifts with that
- 12:01popular It was one of the hardest populations that I ever experienced. And God
- 12:05really began to say, this is your ministry, this is this is real
- 12:11ministry. And I wrote a book about your tears Have Purpose because I wanted
- 12:16the students to know that your tears do have purpose. I don't care where
- 12:20you come from, I don't care what you're being through. I need you
- 12:22to show up the class. I need you to be intended to class,
- 12:26and I need you to know that you're gonna make it. And so I
- 12:30begin to write a book on your tears have Purpose for my students to help
- 12:35them be successful. And then I wrote a book on destiny, All Eyes
- 12:39on Me to Achieve My Destiny. It was a book for women to help
- 12:45them be successful, to help them feel like that they could be accomplished in
- 12:50life. And then I went on a journey and I wanted to write a
- 12:56book about I went through a divorce and I really wanted taught write a book
- 13:01about being married to the church, married to the church, my wife is
- 13:03a mistress. And that book was the top seller because it was just filled
- 13:09on you know, I was a first lady, and the book was not
- 13:15necessarily about my life. But my father, who was a preacher, was
- 13:20married to the church, and so I took a lot of what I learned
- 13:24and seen in his ministry and I wrote a book about it. What does
- 13:28it look like when the applaud stops and you know a pastor who is married
- 13:35to the church and he treats his wife like she's a mistress. And so
- 13:39I wrote that book, and my father and I did a podcast on it
- 13:43and he was talking about he was that man that lost everything because he was
- 13:48married to the church and he just didn't know any better. And so then
- 13:54I wrote a book about Now I'm on this journey after four years of being
- 13:58single. So I heard the cries of singles and how do you date successfully?
- 14:03So I wrote a book on so you think you want to date me?
- 14:07And I went on a journey taking inventory of different people and their single
- 14:13experience, what they were coming up with on the dating apps. And I
- 14:18just compile, compile that information and I put it in a book about being
- 14:22single and how do you date successfully? But it all boils down to loving
- 14:28yourself. And then I went my readers wanted a book on They wanted a
- 14:35sequel to Married to the Church. So I spent a long time writing that
- 14:41book. It's really ready, but I just haven't published a yet. I
- 14:46don't know. Sometimes when you're an author, you're just like, ugh,
- 14:48maybe i'll sit on a little bit. So I wrote a book on marriage
- 14:52to the Pastor, and so that book's been ready for about six or seven
- 14:56months. Now I just sit in on right now. And I wrote a
- 15:03book on Victoria's Secrets, so that one is ready. And I'm writing a
- 15:11book on rejection. So that's what I'm working on now, is writing a
- 15:16book on reject rejection and knowing your worth. So that's kind of what I'm
- 15:20really into now writing a book on that, and then I'm going to transition
- 15:28to Broken Men Still Need Love. That is a book that I'm really gathering
- 15:35information. I'm dating have no drama, but I'm you know, you meet
- 15:39so many different men and they're broken. So I really want to write a
- 15:46book on how do you love a broken man without being without getting broken?
- 15:50And so I'm still collecting data on that, and then eventually I'm going to
- 15:56write a book on you can love again once I fall in love. So
- 16:00I want to write a book on love and what does that feel like.
- 16:03So that's kind of where I am in the writing process. But I love
- 16:10to write, I love to share. It's really the books that sell the
- 16:15most is the ones that deals with drama and so but it's just kind of
- 16:21what's the hot topics right now, and relationship is the hot topics. So
- 16:26I'm trying to finish up rejections so I can get into writing a book about
- 16:30broken men Still Need Love and how do you do that successfully and don't get
- 16:36broken in the process. So that's kind of where I am at the moment
- 16:40with writing. Wow. Wow, that's a lot but I tell you,
- 16:52that's amazing that you can touch on those various different topics and share different perspectives.
- 16:59You're touching on different angles and different groups of people. That that's amazing.
- 17:07That's the gift of even being in ministry and having that that that ministry.
- 17:15I tell you, it takes a special person to be able to do
- 17:19a lot of the things that you're doing working with the kids at the school
- 17:26and then going outside of the four whiles in ministry and and just sharing your
- 17:30gifts. I tell you that poem that it was on point, it resonated,
- 17:37and I'm on forward you a copy of that. It really blessed me
- 17:42because you talked about intergety and compassion. You know that poem. Really it
- 17:55really teared me up and touched my heart because you talked about in tear and
- 18:00compassion, caring, kindness, you know how to soar, justice, fairness,
- 18:07being a sister, being a voice, you know all those action words,
- 18:12and it's all about it's not about these titles. It's about serving.
- 18:21That's what it's about. It's about serving, right mm hmm. Right,
- 18:30that's it. And you're definitely leading by example because you are definitely a servant.
- 18:37I've watched you and followed you for years and you have not waivered in
- 18:45your your dedication and your service. And I've watched you and you definitely lead
- 18:52by example. You're not one of those people that tell you to do something
- 18:59and then you do something else. You do exactly what you're telling us.
- 19:03So I'm grateful that we were able to cross path and be connected like we
- 19:11are. How can people support you? How can they get some of your
- 19:17books? How can they support your ministry? Because you do have a ministry?
- 19:25Share share that really cool? You can reach out to me. I
- 19:29like to put together book bundles for my readers. You can purchase it on
- 19:33Amazon, but I always say go through me first because I do like to
- 19:37be a blessing and put a book bundle together with different things in there to
- 19:41support the readers with being successful. On Tuesday, I have an inspirational call
- 19:48called the Spiritual Sons and Daughter Movement and we pray at five am Eastern Standard
- 19:55time and then at seven forty five pm we dive deep into different top We

- 20:07and rejection, and we share strategies on how you deal with these topics,
- 20:14and so you can follow me there if you're in the Jacksonville, Florida area.
- 20:18I'm putting on my first seminar in this area and it is December the

- 20:41it over to twenty twenty four. So I'm super excited about that, you
- 20:45know, And I'm just thankful for this opportunity. And I want to say
- 20:49to you, visionary Ambassador, that God has great things in store for you,
- 20:56and that everything that you went through, God is sitting sending help,
- 21:03he's sending resources, and he's restoring all of your wounds, every wound that
- 21:08you experience in the last eleven months. I just sense that God is going
- 21:15to send sponsors to help you. And I decreate it and I declare it
- 21:21no more sad days. Holy Glory to God, Happiness, is on the
- 21:25horizon for you. And everything that you did for others, God is going
- 21:30to do for you. And God is going to send a millionaire to sponsor
- 21:36you with no hitting agendas. And I'm here to just encourage you on today
- 21:41to keep soaring, keep doing what you're doing, keep seeing things not from
- 21:47your natural eyes, but to see it from your spiritual eyes. And great
- 21:52things on the horizon for you. So God, bless him, and thank
