- 2:53Thank you so much for returning to the resumption.
- 2:58I should say resuming season 5 here of the Random Heathen
- 3:01Ramblings podcast after a little bit of a break.
- 3:05Last week there was no show. So if you're catching this on
- 3:09the last weekend of August, this is this is the last episode of
- 3:14August. Yeah, we are going to be moving
- 3:16into the Labor Day weekend now, coming in.
- 3:18So if you are in the United States and getting a chance to
- 3:21have an extended holiday weekend with friends and family and
- 3:25enjoying in such things as you do, whether it's cooking out or,
- 3:29you know, spending time in nature, you know, I know some
- 3:33heathens like to do bloats and something like that in the US.
- 3:37You know, whatever, whatever your traditions are, whatever
- 3:39your custom is around the Labor Day week.
- 3:41And if you observe, I hope you have a safe and fun one.
- 3:45I've been, I've been laid up for a bit, folks.
- 3:49I'm, I'm just now I, I, to be honest with you, I almost
- 3:52cancelled this week entirely, but I didn't want to leave the
- 3:55people without an episode for this week.
- 3:57Last week's the, the episode we didn't have one because I was
- 4:00just getting back in town from a, a, a vacation in Panama City
- 4:05Beach and, and, and I had just gotten back that night and I
- 4:10just couldn't bring myself to, to decompress from the trip well
- 4:16enough to get an episode recorded.
- 4:20Lot to do with, you know, being in the right headspace and
- 4:23comfortability and and all that sort of stuff.
- 4:25And then about Friday, Saturday, I guess it was Saturday and
- 4:31Saturday into Sunday I started, I had AII think what is a a a a
- 4:37gout flare up in my knee. All I know is my knee has been
- 4:41extremely swollen. My kneecap like right on my
- 4:44kneecap, my right knee and I, I haven't been able to sit in like
- 4:52I mean, I'm I'm basically at a point right now where I can sit
- 4:55without my leg being without being in excruciating pain from
- 5:00from the flare up. I was basically on my back for
- 5:04since Sunday couldn't go to work and you know, even though my job
- 5:10is a sit down kind of office job, sitting down like I I had
- 5:13my my desk set up has nowhere for me to like lay my leg up.
- 5:16It was just I and even with my leg up, it was I was just in the
- 5:20agonizing pain. I have what I like to believe is
- 5:23a very high threshold of pain things.
- 5:25You know, I can, I can endure pain pretty well, but this gout
- 5:33flare up or whatever it has been and, and sometimes in some cases
- 5:36literally brought me to tears. I, I was in a really bad way
- 5:42self medicating, you know, staying off of it, icing and
- 5:45then keeping ice off of it because come to find out that
- 5:49that that's not necessarily the best thing to do repeatedly.
- 5:51So, you know, mainly just elevating it, trying to stay off
- 5:54of it as much as I could. Some medication has helped.
- 5:59So you know, it's it's stiff now more than anything.
- 6:03I can barely bend my knee. So my walk, I got a bit of a a
- 6:06GIMP to my to my step. You know, I got a little bit of
- 6:10pimp in my GIMP, as they say, but I'm I'm on the mend and I
- 6:15didn't want another week to go by without muscling through and
- 6:20coming on here to get this episode out.
- 6:22Because I know when I announced last week or earlier this week,
- 6:26whenever you guys saw the topic of this week's episode, I knew
- 6:30that it was going to be a fun one and I just I didn't want to
- 6:33first of all, you know, big shout out to my guest this week
- 6:37because I've had to reschedule this episode recording three
- 6:41times, once because of getting back late from Panama City Beach
- 6:46and then twice because of this thing going on with my knee.
- 6:50So thank you so much, Blake, who is my guest this week, Blake
- 6:54Russell from SCULD. It works for being so
- 6:57understanding and so flexible to be able to come on and and
- 7:00record this on an off day. So a big shout out to the Blake
- 7:06guys. Be sure to follow him on Sculd.
- 7:07It works. All of his social media that
- 7:11he's on right now will be linked in the comments or down in the
- 7:13show notes of this podcast episode.
- 7:16So a very special thanks to him again, the topic this week of,
- 7:21of, you know, what should we or shouldn't we share with other
- 7:25people when it comes to our approaches, our practices to
- 7:31divination, to runic divination specifically?
- 7:33Because as I understand, Blake has recently gotten into
- 7:38studying more of, of, you know, runic magic and, and runic
- 7:42esotericism and, and the magic of the runes.
- 7:46And he's, he's asked me a few questions and he emailed me
- 7:49about this some time ago and asked, you know, if this would
- 7:51be something that I had thoughts on.
- 7:54And I did get my initial thoughts and response.
- 7:56But I, I said, you know, I think it'd be great to have you come
- 7:59back on the show and I was talk about it because I'm sure he has
- 8:02thoughts and approaches on it. And you know, for the listeners
- 8:05and the viewers, you know, it'd be fun for you guys to to hear
- 8:08and then possibly weigh in so you know where whatever platform
- 8:11you're catching this on, if you are listening to this on
- 8:14Spotify, I know it has a comment section available now.
- 8:16So drop your comments down below.
- 8:18Let us know what you think about this.
- 8:20As always, a very special thanks to my viewers on Patreon here
- 8:24who watch these video episodes every week.
- 8:26Very special thanks to all of you for sticking around and
- 8:29being here to show your support in this way and share your
- 8:32thoughts down below too, because I know there's plenty of people
- 8:34out here that, you know, either work in the runes or work with
- 8:37the runes that we'll have an opinion or thoughts on, on this
- 8:42particular view on things. And so, yeah, I'd be interested
- 8:46to hear what what your feedback is on it as well as as you
- 8:52already heard at the beginning of this episode, you know,
- 8:54there's going to be some sponsorship clips that come
- 8:57through on here. So a special thanks to all of
- 8:59our sponsors for this year's Fire on the Mountain Men's
- 9:03Spiritual Retreat and Leadership Summit taking place in the Blue
- 9:07Ridge Mountains of Appalachia at the end of October this year be
- 9:10the October 24th through the 27th.
- 9:13So very special thanks to our sponsors.
- 9:15You'll be hearing a couple more words from some other sponsors
- 9:18this year. So you know, fair warning for
- 9:20that, but I think that's pretty much all of the, you know,
- 9:26housekeeping type stuff that I have to take care of for you.
- 9:32Again, all of their all of the sponsored information, if you
- 9:35guys want to follow and support them, all of their information
- 9:38will be linked down below or in the show notes, you know, so
- 9:41which, which whichever platform you're catching this, it'll be
- 9:43linked down there, over here, wherever.
- 9:47And then of course, Scald it works.
- 9:49Our guest today, he will be his stuff will be linked down there
- 9:54as well. OK, so without further ado,
- 9:56we're going to be talking with Blake Russell of Scalded works
- 9:59today about the runes and just about the, the, the practice of
- 10:03runic divination and how, you know, we as as runes as as
- 10:09Vitkis or, or Voorvas or whatever term you want to put to
- 10:12this thing of, of working with the runes in a magical sense.
- 10:17You know how we as those practitioners feel about, you
- 10:21know, sharing in information regarding our methods behind
- 10:26reading the rooms. You know, there's a lot of books
- 10:28out there. There's a lot of knowledge.
- 10:29There's a lot of information out here that is readily shared when
- 10:34it comes to things. But when it comes to a person
- 10:35who has found a way and found a method that has worked for them,
- 10:39you know, if people ask or even if people don't ask, you know
- 10:42what to what degree do we have? Maybe responsibility wise or
- 10:48obligation wise, if any, you know of sharing these sorts of
- 10:50things. So we're going to be talking
- 10:51about that today. That's what this episode is
- 10:53about and hope that you enjoy it.
- 10:55If you do interact with the with the platform in any way that you
- 10:59can to show your support, share the video, share the podcast
- 11:02comment, you know, like it, whatever the whatever the thing
- 11:06that you're listening or watching this on allows you to
- 11:08do, please do and show your support in that way.
- 11:11All right, let's go ahead and with a quick word from our
- 11:13sponsor, one more sponsor, and then we will go ahead and
- 11:18welcome in. You know, Blake Russell from
- 11:22Skull. That works.
- 11:22So one more word from our sponsors.
- 11:24There'll be another one throughout the episode, and then
- 11:27we will have Blake on here to talk about the topic of today's
- 11:30episode. Hope you guys enjoy.

- 11:36leadership summit, is sponsored in part by Skogamour.

- 12:23Instagram to stay informed of new music and live performances.
- 12:28Thank you to Skogamore for helping sponsor Fire on the
- 12:31Mountain. And folks, we are welcoming in
- 12:38to the podcast, a return guest and a friend of mine from the
- 12:42northern ish tip of Alabama. This is Blake Blake.
- 12:47I don't like wanna keep saying Blake Shelton.
- 12:48What the hell is wrong with me? Blake Russell.
- 12:51Oh my God. Oh scalded.
- 12:53Good. I'm not.
- 12:54That handsome, can you? Imagine.
- 12:56Can you imagine if I got that that that that that guy on this
- 12:59show? Oh.
- 13:00Yeah. But anyway, sorry that sorry
- 13:02about that, but Blake Russell of Scalded Works, a return guest
- 13:05and a friend of mine. Welcome back to the show, Blake.
- 13:07Thanks for being here. No.
- 13:08Problem. Good to have you back man, how
- 13:11you been? I've been OK, I've been good.
- 13:14That's. Good.
- 13:15Yeah, just that's good. So I guess, you know, for the
- 13:21sake of our time and everything, like everybody's.
- 13:23I had a week off last week. I was in Panama City.
- 13:26We actually had this scheduled for last week, but I, I came
- 13:31back and I was like, I need to decompress and, and stuff.
- 13:33I thought I was going to be in the right headspace and
- 13:36everything and it just didn't happen.
- 13:37But as I mentioned your this, but I mentioned in the intro, I
- 13:40was like, thank you so much for your flexibility and
- 13:43understanding when it comes to pushing this out.
- 13:45I didn't want to, I didn't want to push it out any further.
- 13:48So we're here now, you know, and I and I, you know, I, I
- 13:52appreciate that, you know, things happen and having that
- 13:54understanding. Appreciate it.
- 13:56Oh yeah. You got to be like water, man.
- 13:59Like water. That's what Bruce Lee said, I
- 14:01think, right? Yeah, Be.
- 14:02Like water? Yeah.
- 14:04Walter, my friend, be Walter. Walter.
- 14:06Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:10But yeah, so you had sent me an interesting e-mail a while back
- 14:15with regards to like runic divination.
- 14:20Yeah. And we kind of had an exchange
- 14:22back and forth and and you were like, I don't know if this is
- 14:24worth coming on the podcast about.
- 14:25And I thought it absolutely was because the audience of, of
- 14:29people that this reaches are first of all, probably into
- 14:33runic divination themselves or at least exploring it or, you
- 14:37know, thinking about it and you yourself.
- 14:39I just, I'm, I'm curious. I, I know I've crafted a rune
- 14:42set for you recently. That was a Younger Futhark rune
- 14:47set. Yeah.
- 14:48Most of the rune sets that I've crafted for people have been
- 14:51Elder Futhark. And you opted for a younger
- 14:54Futhark rune set. And I, I think you've kind of
- 14:58approached runic divination a little bit differently than
- 15:02other runologists or, or runners maybe in that you're, you're
- 15:06focusing on using the Younger Futhark runes, right?
- 15:10Yeah, yes, for right now, my personal use right now is the
- 15:19Younger Futhark until I get to where I can learn them better
- 15:22and to know them better And for more public, for people, other
- 15:27people that I do it for, I'll use the elder.
- 15:30All right. Yeah, and it was.
- 15:33Interesting. Sorry.
- 15:34It's a set that you're that you gave me.
- 15:36It's personality is just off the charts right now.
- 15:40It's just, it's just give me these wild readings.
- 15:42I'm like OK. This happens, I guess I, you
- 15:48know, and this is, this is an interesting thing for me to talk
- 15:51to somebody about because I don't, I don't get the chance
- 15:55often to speak to people who I've crafted rune sets for after
- 16:02they've received them. And, and, and, and that's OK.
- 16:04And I, I don't, I don't expect to ever be like, Hey, tell me
- 16:07how they're doing or anything like that.
- 16:08I always, I always put, you know, my, my energy, my focus
- 16:12into the crafting of them for the person.
- 16:15And, you know, I always hope that they serve them well in the
- 16:19capacity that they're being leveraged and used.
- 16:22Oh, yeah. So yeah, it's interesting.
- 16:24What? What do you mean by like wacky
- 16:26or off the wall things? Like you have a new example.
- 16:31Like for instance, I'm still trying to translate the the this
- 16:37the reading that I got last time from him, which is a couple of
- 16:41about a week or two ago. I, I, I asked the question
- 16:45because in I have a, I have like ability to see the people call
- 16:50it clairvoyance or something like that.
- 16:52But I see like in my mind sometimes.
- 16:54Well, I closed my mind or, or closed my eyes to sleep one
- 16:58night and as I was drifting off the sleep, I just kept seeing
- 17:02the number 2, which I never, I don't usually see numbers that
- 17:07that much. So I try to figure out what it
- 17:09means. So I asked the runes, but I, I
- 17:14did this at my lunch, my lunch break at work.
- 17:16So I was like, I, it took me like a long time just to figure
- 17:21out what these were because I'm still trying to learn the
- 17:23younger, get to know the younger full target a little bit more
- 17:26and get that the room set a bit more.
- 17:29And I just so I decided, well, I'm just going to take a picture
- 17:33of this and look at it later. And I'm still, I'm still right
- 17:39now trying to figure out what the meaning of that was.
- 17:42OK. That's, I mean, you know, I,
- 17:45I've had my own personal sort of visions or experiences in a
- 17:53state of mind where our conscious is at rest.
- 17:56So the subconscious comes through whether it's in a dream
- 17:59state or within a, you know, before you dream state or, or in
- 18:02that sort of in between stage of sleep and you know, you're still
- 18:07kind of like aware of things, but your mind is drifting into a
- 18:11space where you can connect to that plane.
- 18:14Awareness. And yeah, I know what you mean
- 18:16by that. You know, you start getting
- 18:17signals or or feelings or visions even.
- 18:21You know. Like like, like since like in
- 18:25the in like more esoteric realm of things, the like psychics,
- 18:30we'll call it spirit as well like or the universe or the by
- 18:35energy, because I use, I use a lot of different terminology
- 18:40because some people don't know the Norse terminology is like we
- 18:45did. Right the.
- 18:47The Norse and dramatic terminology so I'll use
- 18:54different concepts to explain different things to other people
- 19:01but. But yeah, the past couple of
- 19:05readings though of the set that I got from you have been either
- 19:09a little bit like not so pleasant.
- 19:14Yeah, yeah, like the hard truth kind of.
- 19:19And that's, and that's the personality that's given off
- 19:22right now. And I and you would probably
- 19:26hear like in the even like in like tarot cards and stuff like
- 19:29that, they call that each deck has a personality out.
- 19:32Well, I think that each rune set has its own personality.
- 19:38OK, do you have more than one rune set that you that you work
- 19:42with? Yes, I have 3.
- 19:46Interesting. I have, so I have, I have, I
- 19:50have three. Also the one set was gifted to
- 19:52me and I would never, I would never gift them.
- 19:56I don't know. I they were gifted to me.
- 19:58So to me, they're kind of like mine.
- 20:02Yeah, I I wouldn't gift them back, but I never used them.
- 20:06I used them initially when I started to get into like when I
- 20:11first was because like my path into the runes was was revealed
- 20:15to me through a sort of dream state right in my subconscious.
- 20:20And then I was boldly awakened from that state to be sort of
- 20:24pushed toward the direction of the runes or the direction you
- 20:27need to go in. And.
- 20:28The rune set that was gifted to me was the rune set that I
- 20:33learned, started learning the Elder Futhark runes in.
- 20:37And then since then I've crafted my own set, which is the, the
- 20:41set that I use to do public readings.
- 20:44And then I also I'm in possession of a set of runes
- 20:49that are the collective set of my tribe.
- 20:53So it's not mine. I am sort of the, the, the, the
- 20:56keeper of them, if you will. Those rooms only come out for
- 21:00tribal affairs or within the company of trusted allies and
- 21:06friends. You know, so there's a little
- 21:07bit of a sort of like closed off protectiveness about that set of
- 21:15rooms. They are made of elk bone and
- 21:19and so like they're they don't get used for anybody else except
- 21:23for again, my tribe affairs or the affairs of those who are
- 21:29closely integrated with our tribal weird.
- 21:32And. Listeners of the viewers, what
- 21:34we're talking about like, you know, people who may not
- 21:36necessarily be affiliated or associated 100% with the tribe
- 21:40that I'm associated with, but that have become close enough to
- 21:45where they're like an extension of that family.
- 21:47They're like a, they're like a cousin or, or you know what I
- 21:50mean? Like they're, they're considered
- 21:53family, you know what I mean? So yeah, I have, I have a few
- 21:56different sets and they do behave differently.
- 21:58You know, I noticed that the, the one set that I use for
- 22:02public readings, which interestingly enough, is the set
- 22:06that I use for like my monthly Patreon room polls, of which
- 22:12you're 1. So you get a monthly room poll
- 22:14every month that like those rooms are, are the ones that I
- 22:18use for my public services. If I'm, if I'm asked to be
- 22:23present or I'm or, or do ruin readings or I'm offering that as
- 22:26a service, yeah, that sort of thing.
- 22:28And, and for things like that. But the, but the outbones don't
- 22:32get brought out except for private affairs.
- 22:34So there's, again, there's this, there's this separation between
- 22:39the items being used as as being sacred to the group in which
- 22:43it's associated. So yeah, I don't know that that
- 22:48may be something that's like unique to me or, or maybe others
- 22:52have a similar idea or approach to it.
- 22:54You know, I, I only use these rooms for certain I, you know,
- 22:57certain situations. Just.
- 23:02Just like the room set that you made, I only use it for personal
- 23:05right now until I till I learn what the personality of that
- 23:10room set is and get to and get to know it.
- 23:14And when it knows it, when it knows it when when it knows me,
- 23:17I know it. It's that's when when I would
- 23:23decide whether or not it's safe or not to whether it wants to be
- 23:30brought out into the public. Yeah, now you.
- 23:34Oh, go ahead. But I have a room set that's
- 23:39really, really, really weird personality because of the way
- 23:41it's shaped the it's not like on flat disk like you like normal
- 23:48like wood sets and stuff. It's actually a cedar set that's
- 23:54they're cubes. Oh, like like blocks or?
- 23:59Yeah, like. Blocks.
- 24:00Yeah, and they will. They don't always land face up
- 24:03or face down, so it doesn't lay on their sides.
- 24:06And those are interesting readings too.
- 24:09Yeah, yeah. And that goes into kind of the
- 24:13topic of you coming on the show today because your, your, you
- 24:17know, your e-mail that you had sent me was kind of asking the
- 24:20question or posing a question along the lines of, you know,
- 24:25should we? Or.
- 24:27Or, you know, how should we or should we even be sharing this
- 24:34knowledge of our methods, right? Us as as readers of the runes.
- 24:39So, you know, different, different titles go with
- 24:41different things, you know, So a lot of times in the Norse or
- 24:44whatever communities, there's, you know, your, your, your Vitki
- 24:47or your Volevas are the runers, the rune readers, the ones who
- 24:51have taken the time and, and gone under the, the, the
- 24:55necessary, say, trainings or, or, or processes to learn
- 25:03reading of runes. And how much of that, if any,
- 25:08should we be sharing to others, whether by voluntary questions
- 25:13or involuntary offering of information, I think was the
- 25:17nature of the question that you that you posed, right?
- 25:21Yeah, like I said, I I was talking like the term I use with
- 25:26you is round table discussion, but we could probably also call
- 25:30it talk shop. Sure.
- 25:34Yeah. So if if I were to ask you, hey
- 25:37Blake, you know, how much of your runic, how much of your
- 25:41process do you share with people that don't ask you about your
- 25:45process, what would be your answer?
- 25:50It would vary like it's, it's depends on if we're all sitting
- 25:53around discussing it with each other.
- 25:57But if but I don't just normally disclose my process to somebody
- 26:04even if they ask me or not, you know?
- 26:06Yeah, but. If we all like say like, we
- 26:09like, say like you, me and some other people were sitting around
- 26:13say like. Peers of the community perhaps,
- 26:17or something like yeah. Like, like, yeah, like we're
- 26:20sitting around and probably at a event somewhere together, just
- 26:25sitting around a fire or something like that.
- 26:26And we just, and somebody just starts to talk about rude
- 26:30devastation, then that may be an appropriate time to talk shop as
- 26:37long as, you know, disclose everything.
- 26:42Yeah. So like.
- 26:44Have you ever, have you ever had a case where somebody had,
- 26:48whether you've been at, you know, I don't know how you've
- 26:51done public readings, whether it's been like at an event or
- 26:54you've offered your services at a location and people come to
- 26:57you. Have you ever been in a
- 27:00situation at a time like that where a stranger comes to you
- 27:06and wants the rooms read where you've given a background of
- 27:11your process or the steps of your process or anything?
- 27:14Or do you just be like, well, thanks, welcome.
- 27:16Let's go. And you just go about your
- 27:18business. Like do you want, do you want to
- 27:21touch a little bit on, on that aspect of it?
- 27:25Yeah. Well, mostly what I've been
- 27:27doing is doing it for like friends and family and and and
- 27:32Co workers that have showed interest in me doing it.
- 27:37But when I do it, I do explain what each rune represents.
- 27:44You know, I'll, I think I'll go into the detail how I read, but
- 27:50when I read the runes, I would, I would sit down, cast the runes
- 27:57and then I'll go through, explain each room that's on the
- 28:04board or on the table in a way, and then translate that rune
- 28:12according to my intuition, so to speak.
- 28:17Like. And then I'll.
- 28:18So yeah, I do explain a little bit what's going on so they
- 28:21understand a little bit more detail, but I don't go into my
- 28:26methodology of how, you know how I do it.
- 28:32Yeah, it would, it would almost be like, to me it, you know,
- 28:34it'd almost be like if if somebody were to go to a doctor
- 28:37or surgeon or a dentist or, or any sort of profession of the,
- 28:40of the medicine field. And I'm just pulling that from
- 28:44the top of my head because it's the easiest thing that I can
- 28:46come to correlate with this. You know, you're not going to
- 28:48necessarily ask a brain surgeon what is your process of brain
- 28:53surgery? You know what I mean?
- 28:55There's a level of trust, I believe that the, the person
- 29:00going into the procedure needs to place on the performer of
- 29:05said act. So the, the, the patient needs
- 29:08to trust the surgeon. There's going to be questions,
- 29:12of course. And you know, again, it's, it's,
- 29:13it's, it may be apples and oranges when it comes to, you
- 29:16know, the, the, the medicine field and magic or, or
- 29:20divination, that sort of thing. But I do, I feel like, you know,
- 29:23there, there's no, there's no reason for us as, as you know,
- 29:28rune readers to break it down step by step, every single
- 29:34methodology because it is so intuitive, right?
- 29:37There's, there's so much of our intuition that is being relied
- 29:40upon in the moment, in the reading that brings forth what
- 29:46we're seeing or what we're being fed or what we're being informed
- 29:48of, you know? So, yeah, I, I.
- 29:53Yeah, I kind. Of agree in the sense that yeah,
- 29:56there's there's people that come at least that have come to me.
- 29:58I don't know about you who have, who have gotten rune readings
- 30:02from me and they've never had a rune reading done for them.
- 30:07So you mentioned earlier that you, you cast the runes.
- 30:11I also cast the runes. Yeah not everybody does.
- 30:15I know a lot of people use a sort of spread type method where
- 30:19runes are placed in a very grid like format, almost as if
- 30:22they're doing tarot. Yeah, I.
- 30:24Did I did that with tarot? I did that with tarot with the
- 30:27with the spreads. But but runes like the casts,
- 30:36just like osteomancy bow casting must be casts, and that's
- 30:43something I'm that's something else I'm looking into in
- 30:45divination as well as that. But right now it's just the
- 30:51ruins is my is more my speciality.
- 30:55I'm not a specialist, but I I specialize.
- 31:00Does that make sense? Yeah, that's your area.
- 31:03Like that's where you want to focus on, you know that that's
- 31:05where you're taking your your attention and your and your
- 31:07focus on how, how long, how long have you been focusing or
- 31:12specializing, if you want to say on the runes as a form of
- 31:16divination? Since late last year, actually.
- 31:22OK. So almost a year now.
- 31:25Yes, you went up. On a year.
- 31:27Yes, it was probably after the Halon concert actually, that got
- 31:33me started on like, oh. Really.
- 31:35On on the well, not just the runes itself, but on the the
- 31:40journey that I'm on. And I use the runes to help me
- 31:48help help guide me, help make things clear what's going on,
- 31:53what's going on in a certain situation because I can't
- 31:55clearly hear my ancestors all the time.
- 31:59So at this point I'm working on that.
- 32:03But but that's later on, it takes probably practice for some
- 32:07people. Some people are just gifted at.
- 32:10But I had to work, work harder at some things, just like music
- 32:14comes naturally to meet me and maybe harder for somebody like
- 32:18you. But the ruins, I used to get
- 32:23more clarification in the moment, and it was kind of funny
- 32:29and cliche at the moment, but a couple of months ago or earlier
- 32:32this year, I was actually, I was given the blessing of the runes
- 32:42by ODA himself. As cliche as it sounds.
- 32:48If you want to hear that, if you want to hear that, I would.
- 32:51Love to, I would love to hear that.
- 32:53All right. It was my first actual drum
- 32:56journey session that I've actually experienced because I
- 33:00just got on the fence about doing a drum journey or going to
- 33:03one. But there's there's a woman that
- 33:06owns a local shop here in town and she doesn't like every once
- 33:11in a while. So I went there for the first
- 33:14one and then all of a sudden that was I met my Celia, which
- 33:24is a horse actually. Really.
- 33:27Yes. Very cool.
- 33:28Nice. I, I knew it was a horse for a
- 33:31long time because again, I started like dabbling in runes
- 33:35for even longer. Like I, I guess my set long
- 33:39before I started practicing it. And I did a practice cast with
- 33:43that and the other one I said that had blocks in it.
- 33:47And Edwards came up a lot in both sets in both sets and I was
- 33:55like, whoa. So I, I did some soul searching
- 34:01and stuff and I found out that it was a horse.
- 34:04But as part of this journey, the horse I got on its back and I
- 34:10climbed this mountain and on top of this mountain on the Cliff
- 34:14side was Odin as an old man kind of like, and he just placed the
- 34:18ruins of my aunt. And I took that as a sign like
- 34:25maybe this I'm on the right path here.
- 34:31Did he say anything or was there any words exchanged in the no
- 34:34word? No words whatsoever.
- 34:36The other guy like there was other gods around me.
- 34:38I saw like Freyr, Thor, Bulger, Boggy, every like Heinboler,
- 34:46everybody there and I was like they were they were all just
- 34:53standing there, just silent, just watching.
- 34:56And then then the ruins themselves just flashed in front
- 35:00of me, one by one, one by one. It was crazy, but it was it was
- 35:05awesome at the same time. And this was during a a, a, a
- 35:10drum session, right? Drum.
- 35:12Meditation journey, Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 35:16That's the power, man. That's the power of of what the
- 35:19drum can do for for some, you know, man, like.
- 35:23Yeah, I've. Had, I've had profound, I've had
- 35:29profound visions, I've had profound journeys outside of
- 35:32myself with the drum. And, and as somebody, as
- 35:35somebody told me, an elder of our community, I, I was told by
- 35:41this elder, you know, that the drum is a tool.
- 35:47It's an, it's an instrument of music, yes, but it's a tool.
- 35:51It's a key. Is the.
- 35:53Way I put it, it's like a key to unlock portals.
- 35:56It's a key to unlock the the ability to, to, to in and using
- 36:02the drum and, and having the drum implemented in ceremony
- 36:09facilitates this ability to transcend our physical presence,
- 36:13our physical selves. We, you know, can, can seek and
- 36:17experience things outside of our physical consciousness that
- 36:22exist, vibrantly exist, but that we're just sort of out of tune
- 36:27with. And, and the drum can be that
- 36:29tool or that key that unlocks or unopens or allows entry through
- 36:33and out of those portals. It can be, it can be very, it
- 36:37can be very enlightening. It can be very terrifying.
- 36:40I will say, you know what I mean?
- 36:41Like I'm not trying to paint a picture of it.
- 36:43It's just this like woo woo fluffy Bunny sort of thing.
- 36:47It, it can be quite terrifying. For me.
- 36:49It has been more more times than once, but yes, the the drum is
- 36:54the tool and can be a tool now. Were you playing the drum at
- 36:58this time or was the drum no. No, the woman that I told you
- 37:02about was playing the drum. So she was kind of the the
- 37:06guide, as it were. You were, you were on the
- 37:08journey. She was like that guide, Yeah.
- 37:10Yeah, she explained. She explained how to get there
- 37:14like she says like either visualize or going up a mountain
- 37:17or or going down or staying at a tree and going down.
- 37:21Well I I stood the tree and went down 1st and that still went up
- 37:25the mountain. So you're going down, but going
- 37:28up. Yeah, I went, I went down into
- 37:32the tree and then down. And then I met my failure, and
- 37:36then my and then my. Then I met my failure, right?
- 37:38And then my failure carried me, carried me up the mountain.
- 37:42So the tree was the portal to get me to the mountain, so to
- 37:46speak. But going.
- 37:49Back on the drum being a key or tool, it's not just a drum.
- 37:54Any instrument itself can be used as that tool.
- 38:00If. You if you look at some ancient
- 38:02cultures, they have musical instruments like indigenous
- 38:07cultures. They have what appear to be like
- 38:10flutes or something like that that are used in ritual.
- 38:14Some some things made made, some that were like are you familiar
- 38:23with the death whistle? Oh yeah, the IT was a Aztec, I
- 38:27think. Yeah, Aztec death whistle.
- 38:29Yeah, You think that was also like the original tool, but if I
- 38:34if I think. Probably.
- 38:35I mean it sounds like, I mean if you were to play it ain't it
- 38:38ain't like a a you know, it ain't like tiptoe through the
- 38:40tulips or a little like, you know, it ain't may bear.
- 38:43You know what I mean? Like it's still.
- 38:44It's still a weird instrument though.
- 38:46Right. Right.
- 38:48Yeah, it's like there are some, like even some pan pipes were
- 38:51used in ritual, like bells are are can be used in ritual.
- 38:56It's like anything. Bells.
- 38:58That's, I mean, I've gone and Trance is playing the tackle.
- 39:03Harper here. Well, I bet, yeah.
- 39:06And. I mean and that and that's the
- 39:08reason why I can't remember half the stuff I I write.
- 39:12Oh, 'cause it kind of carries you into that like trance like
- 39:14state and. I don't and I don't remember to
- 39:17record them. It's like I just sitting there
- 39:20just playing just random stuff and it's just it just takes me
- 39:24on the only the times that I do remember him, it's like a really
- 39:31big connection to that piece. So that's that's my methodology
- 39:37of writing there for out there for those who want to know
- 39:42that's. Really cool man.
- 39:44But talk to other. I, I say I've talked to other
- 39:51musicians who approach their music.
- 39:53So they have this, there's like a, there's, there's, there's
- 39:56they, they have this like separation between music that is
- 39:58written for the public enjoyment in the Tavern or in a public
- 40:03space, whatever. And then they have a separation
- 40:05between that and the music that is written, as they would refer
- 40:08to it as a sort of medicinal. Music Chris Welsh sun and moon
- 40:13dance was recently on the show and he talked a bit about that
- 40:16how you know, he only plays that music that that type of music
- 40:20that he's written and recorded for the on the medicinal side.
- 40:23Like he will only play it perform it in certain
- 40:30environments and at certain times and for certain reasons.
- 40:33It's not like you can just go out here to a bar or a stage and
- 40:37just, or whipping it out, like playing it, whatever it, it
- 40:41doesn't, it doesn't fit. There's there's a, there's a
- 40:44separation between that type of music versus the other type of
- 40:48music. Like for instance, like for
- 40:51instance, I don't, I don't play the tackle harp and ritual.
- 40:56I'll play that for like after ritual when we're just dancing
- 40:59around having fun. And then, mostly for ritual,
- 41:03I'll drum. Yeah.
- 41:06There's a time the drum and there's some play tackle from
- 41:11but but yeah, I mean, but any drum can be used to in that
- 41:17ritual for me. It can be that one up there on
- 41:20the wall, or it can be this big behemoth down here.
- 41:23How big is the one? How big is the one that you got?
- 41:26The biggest one that you got? Was that a 30 inch?
- 41:3020 inch 20. OK.
- 41:32Oh, that's that big. That's that big boy that.
- 41:34Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's like some plan Andruma
- 41:38there, right there. Yeah, that's the.
- 41:39Big old devil. Yeah.
- 41:41That's the that's the. That's the same how to use Go
- 41:45ahead. So you.
- 41:46You're gonna have to. You're gonna have to break that
- 41:48bad boy out at an event or something sometime, man.
- 41:50You have to. You have to share the wealth
- 41:52with that man that that looks like so much fun to play.
- 41:55Oh yeah, I'm actually gonna be drumming on that in October the
- 41:5926th. I'm doing our Raven.
- 42:05Raven with Meteria is having their Wicker man.
- 42:11Oh, October 26th. OK.
- 42:12All right. Yeah.
- 42:14And that's where I'm going to be playing that at because I
- 42:19decided I, I decided like I saw this thing and I like, and it
- 42:24was for a good decent price anyway.
- 42:26But I, I didn't want to play be one of several like shaman drum
- 42:31players or Jim Bay players. I wanted to be something I
- 42:36didn't want to stand out by wanting to add something a
- 42:40little different to the mix. Yeah.
- 42:43And I learned about this from from Yakima Lune when when he
- 42:47came to the meter, he had to do his workshop.
- 42:51And technically it's what they when he plays on, he plays on
- 42:55three of them mounted sideways please in havoc and those
- 43:05they're in Turkish, they're called devil and Balkan in the
- 43:10in the other Balkan countries like Bulgaria, they call it A2
- 43:14pad, which is where we get Tippany.
- 43:18Oh wow. OK, interesting.
- 43:20Or one of the words that is used for it is called tippany, but
- 43:23it's also has some Greek origins and it's just carried around the
- 43:27world. Yeah, so.
- 43:30Yeah, so, but I could use that ritual instead of relying on
- 43:35this one. When there's about five or six
- 43:40of them, it's it. And again, I draw, I'm drumming
- 43:47in the ceremony aspect of it and I may switch over the the tackle
- 43:52Harper later on after we're done with the original part of it and
- 43:56just dancing around the fire stuff, yeah.
- 44:00Man, that's so, that's so much fun.
- 44:02It's so good. Speaking of Ravenwood meatery,
- 44:05we're going to take a we're going to, we're going to hear a
- 44:07word from one of our sponsors for the Fire on the Mountain
- 44:11men's spiritual retreat coming up right now.
- 44:14So I'm going to just post up this for those of you listening
- 44:17and watching. Ravenwood Midree is a gold tier
- 44:20sponsor for Fire on the Mountain 2025 or 2024.
- 44:25This year, the Men's Spiritual Retreat and Leadership Summit.
- 44:28So we're going to hear a quick word from them about what they
- 44:31do in Huntsville, AL. And then we're going to come
- 44:33back and we're going to continue to talk with Blake and I.
- 44:35So we'll be right back and hear a quick word from our sponsor
- 44:39for Fire on the Mountain this year.
- 44:40Be right back. Fire on the Mountain, an annual
- 44:44men's spiritual retreat and leadership summit, is sponsored
- 44:48in part by Ravenwood Meadery, located at the historic Low Mill

- 45:13Follow them on Facebook to stay informed of their business hours
- 45:16and events and visit theirwebsite@ravenwoodmeadery.com.
- 45:21Thank you to Ravenwood Meadery for helping sponsor Fire on the
- 45:25Mountain. I'm actually go in.
- 45:31There I'm. Actually go in there tomorrow
- 45:33afternoon, are you? You seem like a freaking flyer
- 45:37A. Frequent.
- 45:39Flyer. Yeah.
- 45:41Well, I live, I live only, I live only about 35 minutes from
- 45:45there. Oh, shoot, yeah, yeah,
- 45:47absolutely. You know, it's just like.
- 45:49It's just like down the road. Yeah, down.
- 45:52The road a piece as they yeah, yeah, but yeah, that's great,
- 45:57man. That you have that, that
- 45:58connection to that community and that your, that your skill set
- 46:01is appreciated and that you can sort of, you know, provide that
- 46:06level of entertainment 'cause it is.
- 46:08I mean, especially when you got a community of people gathering
- 46:10together. I mean, music brings people
- 46:12together and drumming is a great way of doing it.
- 46:16The percussion, the rhythm, that connection to the heartbeat of,
- 46:20of mother yours, you know, mother Earth.
- 46:23Like it's, it's, it's all there in the drum and it's a great
- 46:26tool. It's a great, you know,
- 46:28implement of, of, of shamanic work and and other things too.
- 46:34But just at the communal level, you know, people can really, can
- 46:37really feel themselves and feel the, the presence of others when
- 46:42it comes to things, you know, with the drum.
- 46:45So that's great that you're given that chance and that
- 46:47opportunity that you're so close in proximity to do it.
- 46:50If you can't, if you can't play a drum, clap rocks.
- 46:54Dude, clap, you know, clap your hands, you know, beat your
- 46:57chest, stomp your feet. I mean, just clap.
- 47:00Just anything that you know that.
- 47:03Rocks together. Just did he have bones?
- 47:07Yep, sticks, you know what I mean?
- 47:10Like if you got sticks on the ground, you can tap sticks
- 47:13together. You can, you know all the, you
- 47:15know, you don't have to have a drum.
- 47:18You can, you can, you can experience that that rhythm and
- 47:21be a part of that song through other natural animistic
- 47:26resources that are just. Shout your voice sing.
- 47:30Yep, Chant. Yep.
- 47:33You know, but yeah, man, I feel like, you know, when, when we
- 47:38get out here to do things with the runes with people, there's a
- 47:43sense, I wonder, you know, sometimes about the, you know,
- 47:49the the methods that we develop, right.
- 47:51So obviously you have found a way into the runes almost a year
- 47:56now where you're learning, you're you're developing your
- 47:59methods. Me, I've been doing it for, you
- 48:01know, 7 going on 8 years approximately.
- 48:03I don't have like a pinpoint moment, but it's been somewhere
- 48:07in that brag, you know, so nearly a decade or so where you
- 48:12know, these these methods are tried and true.
- 48:16You can't necessarily find what I'm doing.
- 48:20And I'll use me as an example because we're talking like,
- 48:22you're not going to necessarily find what I do the method that I
- 48:25use in, in detail describe to you in a book or on an online
- 48:31PDF or in a video anywhere. There's nuance, there's
- 48:34similarities, there's going to be things that that resonate as
- 48:38similar or whatever. If you're reading a bunch of
- 48:41material and, and finding information and trying to
- 48:43develop your own way. But it is, it is largely my
- 48:49method. I don't I wouldn't you know, if
- 48:52it it and it would be a different sort of scenario if
- 48:54somebody were to say want to learn a process, learn my
- 49:02process as like under an apprenticeship, you know, I want
- 49:05to learn his process, her process, their process, that
- 49:10sort of thing. Yeah, it's like, I don't, I
- 49:13don't like copying people's processes at all, you know?
- 49:21Did he lose you? You.
- 49:31OK. Hey, can you still hear me,
- 49:33Blake? Yeah, I.
- 49:34Can still hear you. I got a lobster there.
- 49:36Yeah. There's, there's like a, like
- 49:38the, the method of, of one person, right?
- 49:42In terms of sharing that or teaching that.
- 49:45I I, I don't feel like it would be appropriate to just again be
- 49:48all Willy nilly sharing it unless it was in the context of
- 49:52like an apprenticeship. Yeah.
- 49:54Learn. Under me, because you want to
- 49:57learn this process of doing it, that's a different story.
- 50:00And in that context, even in that context, it is this sort of
- 50:05closed off thing. Like, you know, somebody who
- 50:08doesn't join the Rune Guild isn't going to know the things
- 50:12that the Rune Guild shares. And just like in other sort of
- 50:18like closed off Indigenous practices, there are certain
- 50:22things that do not get shared, that do not get included with
- 50:28just anyone and everyone. They are, they are closed off.
- 50:31They are, they are sealed off to, to the outside for a
- 50:35specific reason. And I was wondering what your
- 50:38thoughts are on that, because you asked me in the e-mail
- 50:42about, you know, sharing our methodology, our, our, our
- 50:45practice, our process with people that don't necessarily
- 50:48ask for it. And so I, you know, that's kind
- 50:52of my take on it as, as I'm not going to, I'm going to give
- 50:55somebody like the basic outline of here's why I do it the way
- 50:59that I do it. Here's where my foundation is
- 51:02sort of based upon. But I'm not going to tell you,
- 51:05I'm not going to give you the intuition.
- 51:06I'm not going to give you the, the knowledge.
- 51:08I'm not going to put you through the, the, the, the training of,
- 51:12of this, that moment, obviously. And I wouldn't do that unless it
- 51:15was somebody who I was, you know, either oath to or close to
- 51:19in in that sort of sense to want to share that knowledge with.
- 51:22So yeah, I was wondering what your kind of take on that was or
- 51:27what your opinions of that were when it comes to sharing this
- 51:30type of knowledge outside of certain circles or certain?
- 51:36Areas. Yeah, as far as like full
- 51:39methodology, that's what I I agree with the same thing as you
- 51:45do. It's like it's not, that's kind
- 51:47of closed off. But again, where I was coming
- 51:53from, from my question as well is again, what we're saying,
- 51:57like we're sitting around together, we're just talking,
- 52:01you know, chatting and stuff like that, you know, and like
- 52:05little snippets of information. Like, I'm the kind of person
- 52:08that likes to, I don't like to copy somebody else's methods,
- 52:14but I like to incorporate different ideas from other
- 52:20people to my own thing to evolve in.
- 52:22Yeah. Yeah.
- 52:24Like, yeah, that's. A good.
- 52:25That's a good point, yeah. Like, here's bouncing ideas off
- 52:29of one another, Yeah? Or.
- 52:31Or whatnot. Like that sounds interesting or
- 52:36I don't really like that way of doing things, but I see why you
- 52:39do it, yeah. Yeah, there's, there's, there's
- 52:45an interesting, there's an interesting thing to think about
- 52:47with that. Like I've been, I've been in
- 52:50shared space and in shared company with, again, an elder of
- 52:54our, of, of our, of our community up here who is of
- 52:59Icelandic descent. And he learned rune readings
- 53:05and, and the reading of runes. And he learned that methodology
- 53:08through his family, through his grandfather, through his great
- 53:12grandfather, who were very old and alive at the time.
- 53:17He was sort of young. And the the process that this
- 53:22individual shared with me, I was it was a high, high honor to be
- 53:28told about because I felt like this is information that is
- 53:32unique to that family. This is how this family
- 53:37understands runic divination. That's how they do it.
- 53:42And I and I, and I feel like that's largely what transpired
- 53:47over the millennia, over the centuries when it came to this.
- 53:50Because one of the very few things that we know of about
- 53:54potential runic divination stems from a, a, a source by Tacitus,
- 54:00the, the Roman Pagan who documented his observations and,
- 54:06and things of the Germanic tribes that predate the Viking
- 54:10Age. So the way that Tacitus
- 54:14documents the dramatic tribes as having a very, and I'm
- 54:20paraphrasing, but he, you know, he basically says that, you
- 54:23know, these, these people had a very high regard to divination.
- 54:27And the way that they did it was that, you know, they would, they
- 54:29would, they would cut pieces of wood from a fruit or nut bearing
- 54:33tree, depending on the translation that you read, and
- 54:36they would carve into those pieces.
- 54:37They would carve symbols and then those symbols, you know,
- 54:41they, they would, they would cast them onto a white cloth.
- 54:44And then and depending on the nature of the reading, right,
- 54:48whether it was, if it was a public reading, it was the
- 54:51priest of the community. If it was a private reading, it
- 54:53was the father of the home, right?
- 54:55Everybody had a role, everybody had a position.
- 54:57They would look to heaven and they would or look to the
- 54:59heavens they would look up and they would pick 3 of those
- 55:03symbols and they and they would read them accordingly.
- 55:05Now do we know if those symbols that were carved into these
- 55:09pieces of fruit or nut bearing trees were the Elder Futhark
- 55:13runes? We don't know.
- 55:15Is it widely deduced and and assumed that it was probably
- 55:19some sort of a proto Germanic runic alphabet?
- 55:25Yeah, probably was. We don't know exactly what it
- 55:27was, but you know, so, so the methodology right, of casting is
- 55:32at least documented in a source that is not influenced by
- 55:37Christian monks, scholars, etcetera.
- 55:39Because Tacitus was Pagan. He was a Roman Pagan, but he was
- 55:43Pagan nonetheless. So there was no Christian bias
- 55:45being influenced in his documentation of said things
- 55:49that were witnessed. Outside of that, we have a
- 55:54number of runic charms, symbols, things that were carved into
- 55:59various items. Archaeological dig and finds
- 56:02have have discovered, you know, the, the, the, the presence of
- 56:05runes in various things, whether it's bractiates, Combs, knives,
- 56:10whatever, swords, scabbards, etcetera.
- 56:13Over the centuries, even into including the Viking Age.
- 56:16That suggests that the runic symbols, the runic characters,
- 56:19the runes, if we want to call them that.
- 56:21Were. Deemed and seen in viewed by the
- 56:24populace as something more than just.
- 56:28The alphabet. More than just a written spoken
- 56:30language. They, they were, there were
- 56:33things that carried magical meaning to even when you go into
- 56:40the rune poems, right? Like why would the rune poems
- 56:43say such things about Fey or Fey who or, or, or you know what I
- 56:48mean? Like why would that thing be
- 56:50cattle and, and, and why would that carry a magical or esoteric
- 56:55meaning of wealth, etcetera, etcetera.
- 56:59Like so there, there's so much that goes into the individual
- 57:02meanings of the runic characters depending on, on what runic
- 57:05system you're using to, to use this divination.
- 57:10And, and then beyond that, you know, there's, there's such a, a
- 57:14deep layer of it's almost like an onion, you know, like, OK,
- 57:18here's the onion, but now we got to peel the layers back because
- 57:22just because we cast certain runes in front of the person
- 57:25with the reader, right, doesn't, doesn't necessarily mean that
- 57:30each individual rune is going to tell us the whole story.
- 57:33There's, there's where did the rune fall?
- 57:35How did it fall? Where was the rune when we cast
- 57:38it? You know, well, the various
- 57:41things that go, you said before intuition, right?
- 57:44There's so much of that that I feel can't be shared and can't
- 57:48be expressed outside of. Yeah.
- 57:52Closed. And trusted areas and in context
- 57:55one room maybe mean one thing to you in one moment and there and
- 58:02it could mean something else in a different moment based on
- 58:06context and the and the question asked.
- 58:11Yeah, well, how about this? How about this, right.
- 58:14How about the fact that in some of the room poems, if you're
- 58:16going to look at the name of a particular rune, like how many,
- 58:19how many different meanings does the name or does the rune Urus
- 58:25or UR? Yeah, it means three different
- 58:28things and three different rune poems.
- 58:31And I used I used Norwegian ones, so.
- 58:34You know, so like, if you're going to be OK, so yeah.
- 58:37And, and, but again, the Norwegian rune poem is, is a
- 58:42collection of the Younger Futhark runes, which obviously
- 58:46came from somewhere. So like when you get into the,
- 58:49and this is probably like deep, this is like diving deep into
- 58:52the minutiae of the runes, you know, So you know, does ur mean
- 58:56orox? Does ur mean slag?
- 58:58Does UR mean rain? You know.
- 59:02What I mean, because each of the rune poems say those specific
- 59:07things like you read each of the you, whether they read the Agloe
- 59:11Saxon rune poem, the Norwegian rune poem or the Icelandic rune
- 59:14poem, they have different meanings.
- 59:17And so does that suggest that, well, the the linguistic
- 59:20evolution of the word changed over time, or is there something
- 59:24totally different that we're not seeing?
- 59:29With. With regards to that and like,
- 59:31for instance, with Urrus, I, I, I picked that up as, as a
- 59:35specific topic to, to, to cover because like you look at like
- 59:40aurochs, right? The Uroos, the aurochs, the,
- 59:42the, the, the, the wild low vine of the landscape that were this,
- 59:47the sort of, you know, wild strength.
- 59:49And then you look at like later translations of it as being the
- 59:54slag. You know that that and somebody
- 59:56I was talking to Mygozi, who I was talking to about this, you
- 59:59know, he was like, well, what if we what if we look at that
- 1:00:03meaning? Of Urus of Ur as this, you know,
- 1:00:08yes, the oxen, the, the wild, the wild bovine of the landscape
- 1:00:13at the time as being the sort of strength and wild associated
- 1:00:15with the the strength needed to be a blacksmith a, a, a, a
- 1:00:22worker of the iron. And then if you picture the
- 1:00:25blacksmith smashing metal on the anvil, and then there's this,
- 1:00:30there are these sparks, there's this slag that falls, and then
- 1:00:33there's this sort of rain that comes down, which is another
- 1:00:36translation or another interpretation of Ur in one of
- 1:00:39the known poems. And it's like there's a
- 1:00:42connection to the beast versus the action versus the thing.
- 1:00:48I mean, I'm like I've. Never thought about.
- 1:00:50I never thought about that too. That me.
- 1:00:52Either man, me either. That.
- 1:00:55Opened my eyes man, I'm like the.
- 1:00:57Connection of it. And, and look, I'm not trying to
- 1:01:01say that that's correct. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm saying that
- 1:01:04this was a sort of thing that happened in a discussion between
- 1:01:07me and my Gothi about that particular rune because I
- 1:01:11couldn't, I couldn't necessarily deduce or reason why the rune
- 1:01:16poems say three different things about this one particular symbol
- 1:01:20or character or whatever. He came up with this like on the
- 1:01:23spot. And I'm like, holy shit, wait a
- 1:01:25minute, you might be on to something here.
- 1:01:28Yeah. Who know?
- 1:01:29I I don't know. I'm not trying to like say that
- 1:01:31this is a revelation of reality, but it's an interesting thing to
- 1:01:36think about because the strength of the ox, the strength of this
- 1:01:39wild thing contained in this action where this slag, this
- 1:01:44the, the various metals and stuff that get beaten out of
- 1:01:47iron and and whatnot appears as this sort of fiery rain.
- 1:01:53Like. Dross.
- 1:01:53It's it's that rain that comes down when you're beating it.
- 1:01:57So I don't know, man. Like there's the thing.
- 1:02:01So it's wild. Yeah, like.
- 1:02:05The ulur like the white, Yeah. Yeah, it's, it's just, that's
- 1:02:11crazy. I never thought about that.
- 1:02:13And that opened up my eyes a little bit more.
- 1:02:16Thanks for that. Yeah, man, I mean, I, you know,
- 1:02:19in credit to my go the, you know, Wolf Thompson man, like he
- 1:02:22like we were sitting in this about a month or month and 1/2
- 1:02:25or two ago where we were sitting because he was like, I want to
- 1:02:27learn more about the runes as our go.
- 1:02:29The he's like, I feel like that's my job, you know, and I'm
- 1:02:31like, OK, well, he came to me and he wanted to learn my way of
- 1:02:35it. And in that context, again, we
- 1:02:37go back to teaching, mentorship, apprenticeship, that sort of
- 1:02:42thing. All right, Well, he is oathed to
- 1:02:43me in my tribe. And so my methods, of course, in
- 1:02:49the sacredness of our, of our communal bond in that way, in
- 1:02:52that kinship bond. I will spend time and talk with
- 1:02:55him about it and share these things because it is, it is
- 1:02:58sacred to our practice. It is sacred to our tribal way.
- 1:03:01And he offered that layer of things.
- 1:03:04And I go, wow, you might be on to something here, bro.
- 1:03:07Like. Yeah, and you've been doing it
- 1:03:10longer. You've been doing this longer
- 1:03:11than he has. Right and exactly.
- 1:03:14And I and you know, he, he blows my mind.
- 1:03:18Yeah, out of the bait, out of the mouth of Bates.
- 1:03:22Huh. For real.
- 1:03:23Absolutely. Yeah.
- 1:03:26You know, so I'm sure that that's that's a thing that can
- 1:03:28happen, especially when we're dealing with with folks that are
- 1:03:33like you say, you know, babes are new to things.
- 1:03:36They have a sort of fresh vision.
- 1:03:39Perspective on things, yes, Yeah.
- 1:03:41Yeah. So in a way, like being, being
- 1:03:46open and in the right context and in the right space can, can
- 1:03:50really shed a light on some things for us, you know, So I
- 1:03:54feel like, yeah, share, share as much as you can with whom you
- 1:03:58can, but in the right space and in the right context.
- 1:04:01Don't just don't just offer it freely.
- 1:04:03I mean, yes, it is information. Yes, it is knowledge that we
- 1:04:06have, we have obtained, we have gone through, you know, like one
- 1:04:10time I thought, you know, Odin in this, in the, in the myths,
- 1:04:14you know, like he, he goes through this great ordeal of
- 1:04:19hanging from Igdrasil for 9 days and nine nights.
- 1:04:23And then only after those nine days and nights did he fall
- 1:04:26screaming in agony. Did he take up the knowledge of
- 1:04:28the runes. You know, there was a great
- 1:04:30ordeal. He wasn't offered, he didn't
- 1:04:32take food, he didn't take drink. He, he just, he went through a
- 1:04:36great suffering, a great ordeal to receive the knowledge of the
- 1:04:40mysteries of the runes. Rune is a word that means
- 1:04:43mystery, you know, and it was at that point that he obtain that
- 1:04:50knowledge. What do we expect if if we are
- 1:04:55not enduring some sort of an ordeal?
- 1:04:59What how do how how would we expect anything less if we're
- 1:05:01not going through our own ordeal, if we're not, if we're
- 1:05:04not suffering ourself through it?
- 1:05:06And that that that's my own personal, you know, UPG about
- 1:05:10gaining knowledge of the runes. It's not something that you can
- 1:05:12fully grasp by just reading books, watching a video,
- 1:05:18downloading APDF. Like there's layers to it that
- 1:05:21you can obtain and there's something that you can get from
- 1:05:23it. But when it comes to the real,
- 1:05:26to the realness of it, there's, there's, there's ordeal, there's
- 1:05:30work, there's, there's suffering, there's adversity,
- 1:05:34there's all these things that come kind of part of it, you
- 1:05:38know? So yeah.
- 1:05:41It's it's just like Kelly healing work, you know, like
- 1:05:49chauvinism and everything like that.
- 1:05:51You it's like. You're going to you're.
- 1:05:54Going to have to suffer just to find find that enlightenment.
- 1:06:00You have to put in that work and put in the effort to to.
- 1:06:03You can't just sit back and expect things to come.
- 1:06:07Yeah, yeah. And I also feel like there's a
- 1:06:10degree of silence and quietness where these these things are
- 1:06:19given to us because I don't know, there's there's a there's
- 1:06:23a quote or there's, there's a part of the have them all that,
- 1:06:28that that says about it where like, and I and I and I can't
- 1:06:33remember it verbatim, but but it, it basically says something
- 1:06:37along the lines of where it like after you get this, there is
- 1:06:41silence. There is quiet.
- 1:06:42You, you, you don't get, you don't get the mysteries revealed
- 1:06:47to you by blabbing about it by by talking about it comes to you
- 1:06:51in silence and it comes to you through silent, whether it's,
- 1:06:55you know, introspection or private ceremony or things like
- 1:07:00that, like these are things that happen and occur to the
- 1:07:04individual that is intended to receive it.
- 1:07:07And if that's the case, which I believe it is, you know, how
- 1:07:15that gets shared and how that gets leveraged out to others
- 1:07:21should be considered carefully. You know, like, I had to go
- 1:07:28through something to get this. I'm not just going to hand it
- 1:07:31out all Willy nilly freely. You know what I mean?
- 1:07:35Like, yeah. I.
- 1:07:37Don't know you're. Going to put this if you're
- 1:07:39going to, if you're going to share that, share it, you can
- 1:07:42put the person through the same ordeal that you went.
- 1:07:45Through or the ordeal's going to be presented to them.
- 1:07:48You know what I mean? Maybe that's the same ordeal,
- 1:07:50but yeah, you're going to put them through in the ordeal as as
- 1:07:53you were with the ordeal. Yeah, it's.
- 1:07:55Like I've been, I've been asked so many times, like, hey, can
- 1:07:58you, can you give me this answer?
- 1:07:59Can you tell me where this is? And I'm like, yeah, I could, but
- 1:08:06what's what? What good is that really doing?
- 1:08:08Oh yeah, You know, it's like the old adage, you know, teach a man
- 1:08:12to fish, you'll feed him for a day.
- 1:08:14Or give a man a fish, you'll feed him for a day.
- 1:08:17Teach a man how to fish. You'll feed him for his life.
- 1:08:20You. Know.
- 1:08:21So, yeah, I could give you the answer and give you the
- 1:08:24immediate satisfaction that you're trying to obtain or seek.
- 1:08:29What's that really doing for you?
- 1:08:31And and that's what I've always appreciated is that, you know,
- 1:08:33the things that I've, the things that I've learned haven't,
- 1:08:38they've not been handed to me. You know, it's like, well, if
- 1:08:43you really want to know, here's where you can go go figure it
- 1:08:47out. Go do the work.
- 1:08:50Cool. I and I appreciate that.
- 1:08:51And that's, you know, that's, that seems to be a thing that's,
- 1:08:56I don't know, like I don't want to say lost nowadays, but it
- 1:08:59needs to be more kind of forgotten about.
- 1:09:03Like you don't, you don't deserve to be given everything
- 1:09:06that you ask for. Oh yeah, you don't?
- 1:09:09Yeah. We do, you know what I mean?
- 1:09:12Yeah, if. You if you want something bad
- 1:09:15enough then work for it and you can ask the questions and you
- 1:09:18can ask people that may know, but don't expect the answer to
- 1:09:23be just handed to you. Oh.
- 1:09:25Yeah. Expect and and be ready to do
- 1:09:28the work needed to obtain the answer yourself.
- 1:09:33Yeah. It's so much more gratifying and
- 1:09:35it's so much more satisfying and, and you you get more out of
- 1:09:39it in the process because that's where the learning is.
- 1:09:43It's in the process. It's not so much the destination
- 1:09:46of reaching the answer, it's what you went through to get to
- 1:09:49the answer. Yeah, you.
- 1:09:52Know and that's what discourages a lot of people and in a way I
- 1:09:55feel like that's what kind of separates the real from the you
- 1:10:03know the fake if you will like. People that.
- 1:10:06Want to know because they want to know Well, how badly do you
- 1:10:11want to know? What are you willing to go
- 1:10:12through to know right like. Oh my God.
- 1:10:15You want me to do this thing? That or the other?
- 1:10:17Yeah, I guess I really don't want to know that much, but I
- 1:10:19guess you don't. What?
- 1:10:20Would you give for this knowledge?
- 1:10:22Yeah, like, like what? Mimir like what Mimir gave to.
- 1:10:28What would you give for this wisdom?
- 1:10:30I would give my eye. Well then pluck it out, give it
- 1:10:33to me, give it to me, Right. And you did OK.
- 1:10:38Well, here it is big boy, here it is.
- 1:10:41Get ready. But you got to go through that
- 1:10:44process. You got to give that thing up
- 1:10:48and and let me tell you, it ain't nothing easy to give up.
- 1:10:52You might think it is in the moment, but the long term game
- 1:10:56and especially when it comes to the runes.
- 1:10:58And then again, I'm going to just go into my own UPG with
- 1:11:01this when it comes to the rooms and when it comes to stuff
- 1:11:04that's like Odenic the the the the mysticism, the eschatricism,
- 1:11:10like all of this stuff that Odin is very widely associated with.
- 1:11:16You give up some of yourself in process.
- 1:11:19You give up The, the, the, the, the, the mental capacity, like
- 1:11:26the madness, the, the, the, the, all of that.
- 1:11:31It, it, it's part and parcel. And so like people, like, they
- 1:11:35get enamored with this idea of being able to have visions or
- 1:11:40see things like, man, it comes at a cost.
- 1:11:47Oh, yeah. Very high cost, Yeah.
- 1:11:51I've seen, I've seen people, I've had people that I know
- 1:11:55personally that can see like spirits and stuff, but in the
- 1:12:02majority of the ones that I know that could really see them.
- 1:12:06They've. Had like several near death
- 1:12:08experiences and so that was a great cost.
- 1:12:14Yeah, I mean. It's not the cost that you
- 1:12:16wanted to give, but it was a cost nonetheless.
- 1:12:21What was the cost that you were willing to give without knowing
- 1:12:25perhaps what the cost was? And then you're, you know,
- 1:12:31you're there. Now.
- 1:12:33Now it's it's it's go time. You you already kind of placed
- 1:12:37that mark upon yourself. So you either, you either
- 1:12:41endure, you either. Figure.
- 1:12:44Out a way to get through it or it tears you apart and that's
- 1:12:47the biggest thing. That's the biggest thing about
- 1:12:50it is, is, you know, I don't think any of us, maybe you know,
- 1:12:56and I can't say for everybody, but I don't think a lot of us
- 1:12:59realized up front like we had an idea of what the cost was, but I
- 1:13:06don't think we fully understood it.
- 1:13:08And now we're here you. Know now we're in it and so
- 1:13:11well, we we we've got to build ourselves up from that point.
- 1:13:16We we've got to work through that, that challenge it, it's,
- 1:13:21it's an ongoing ordeal. Oh.
- 1:13:23Yeah, you. Know, yeah.
- 1:13:28And I tried to figure out what I was going to say on that.
- 1:13:37Yeah, the the whole ordeal deal is, is that you're never and
- 1:13:41you're never on done with the ordeal either.
- 1:13:44You're never done learning. You're never done with growing.
- 1:13:48Growing. No, no, we're always learning.
- 1:13:53I mean, shit, you know, I've only, I've only been in this for
- 1:13:57less than a decade. You think I got this all figured
- 1:13:59out? Hell no.
- 1:14:01Yeah, and sometimes, sometimes and sometimes you never learn
- 1:14:05from the past. It's like you never learn.
- 1:14:08You make a mistake in the past that you're like, or you do
- 1:14:12something wrong with it. And then you never fully learn
- 1:14:15from that what you've done wrong.
- 1:14:17And you still do the same things for.
- 1:14:22Well, that's the whole thing about the journey is, you know,
- 1:14:25is what you learn along the way. And hopefully the things that
- 1:14:28you learn along the way are lessons to prevent you from
- 1:14:32repeating those same mistakes. Because that's the definition of
- 1:14:36insanity, right? You, you, you do the same thing
- 1:14:39and expect different results. I like to think that the, the,
- 1:14:45the mistake, the real error is when you do the same thing over
- 1:14:49and over again and you expect different results.
- 1:14:52That's the real error. You know, you've got to figure
- 1:14:55out a different way, find a different way, you know, and if
- 1:15:01the way that you're doing things is working and somebody else
- 1:15:04tries to convince you otherwise, I mean, listen, I guess take
- 1:15:08take it to heart in in superficial way.
- 1:15:12But yeah, just because somebody tells me like, man, I've never
- 1:15:17seen that being done before. I don't think that's
- 1:15:19historically correct. That's not going to deter me.
- 1:15:23From. Changing my way.
- 1:15:25Why? It's because I've seen the thing
- 1:15:28that I've done and the way that I've done it.
- 1:15:30Work, yeah. All the time.
- 1:15:32Every time, yeah. If it's if it's that broke,
- 1:15:35don't fix it. Yeah.
- 1:15:37I mean, if it's not broke, don't fix it.
- 1:15:38If there's tweaking, if there's a little bit of adjustments that
- 1:15:42need to be made, if you learn something that can enhance or
- 1:15:45better the process that you know.
- 1:15:47Or something that GP or something you can add to it to
- 1:15:49make it better. Yeah.
- 1:15:51Or something to take away from it to make it better.
- 1:15:54Yeah, yeah. Yeah, like, and that's all it
- 1:15:56is. I mean, that's all we're doing
- 1:15:57now, you guys is we're, we're experimenting, you know,
- 1:15:59nobody's it's. Like even it's like my like my
- 1:16:03my own sacred space in my own house.
- 1:16:05I've moved objects off of it and put new objects on it, and I've
- 1:16:11and I've taken some of those objects and given to and gifted
- 1:16:14them to friends, Repurposed them by by ceremony, of course,
- 1:16:19because I felt like they could do it, use them better than I
- 1:16:21can. Right.
- 1:16:23And they still have the, they still have the ritualistic
- 1:16:27purpose, but now they're, they're serving somebody else
- 1:16:31that purpose. Yeah.
- 1:16:33And that's and I've also rearranged my my my indoor altar
- 1:16:40several times. It's not funny.
- 1:16:43Like it's. Like every time you dust it's
- 1:16:45like or clean it, it's like it takes a lot of whole different
- 1:16:50form. Yeah.
- 1:16:53Like I'll put, I'll like, I'll move this statue, I'll put, I'll
- 1:16:55move this thing, this object over here.
- 1:16:59And it's like changing the it's like changing.
- 1:17:04It's like how you rearrange furniture in the house.
- 1:17:08Exactly. For front flight purposes or
- 1:17:10something? Sometimes you just need to
- 1:17:13rearrange things. Yeah, you know.
- 1:17:16Sometimes you're called to rearrange things.
- 1:17:20Dude, that, that speaks so much to me right now because that
- 1:17:23that's, that's literally life. I mean, sometimes things just
- 1:17:26happen. When you got to adjust, you got
- 1:17:27to rearrange. You got to make room for things
- 1:17:31that you didn't know you had room for to begin with.
- 1:17:33You got. To change the energy.
- 1:17:36Yeah, yeah, that's what it is. It's changing the energy and
- 1:17:41it's, it's just, you know, the, the framework is, is still
- 1:17:44there, but the inner workings, you know, this piece of
- 1:17:47furniture doesn't belong here anymore.
- 1:17:48It belongs over there. And then this thing goes there
- 1:17:50and whatever it. Yeah, that's, that's that's a
- 1:17:53lot of what magic work entails is sometimes you, you reach a
- 1:17:59point where, oh, I got to rearrange things a little bit.
- 1:18:03Yeah. And that's been my, that's been
- 1:18:05my theme since October, last October was it's been adapting
- 1:18:13to change being like Lagos, being like water.
- 1:18:21That's been the that's been that's the one that's always
- 1:18:24been that's like been the ruin of this year.
- 1:18:30It's going back to ruins is Lagos.
- 1:18:34Yep, because. And while it.
- 1:18:36Flows it, it moves. It goes.
- 1:18:38It doesn't. It doesn't stop for anything.
- 1:18:40It just finds a way, you know? It goes around.
- 1:18:43It either goes around or plows through it.
- 1:18:45Yeah, depending. On how forceful it, but how much
- 1:18:49force is behind that water? Yeah.
- 1:18:51It's it's hard to fight the flow.
- 1:18:53Right. Yeah, you just got to.
- 1:18:56Ride the current. Ride the Ride the currents.
- 1:18:59Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right. Sometimes that's what it is too.
- 1:19:02Sometimes you just got to jump in there and get in and just get
- 1:19:05down in there with it and see where it takes you.
- 1:19:08Yeah, yeah. That's.
- 1:19:11That's the, that's the. That's the fun.
- 1:19:13That's the fun of it though. That.
- 1:19:16Makes it right. It's like somebody come pulls
- 1:19:20that, pulls up to me and says hey, you want to go for a ride?
- 1:19:23Go for a ride and do this stupid shit like, yeah, let's go.
- 1:19:27Why not? Yeah.
- 1:19:28Why not? Yeah.
- 1:19:29You know what? Hold my beer shut.
- 1:19:31Watch this. Yeah.
- 1:19:32It's like, it's like, I was like, I hope you have bill
- 1:19:36money. It's that Thor.
- 1:19:40Energy. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:19:42Yeah. You just need to, hey, you know,
- 1:19:44think, you know, think later, do now.
- 1:19:46Whatever. Yeah, we're doing it.
- 1:19:50Yeah. Think about it.
- 1:19:50Nah, don't you think you should have fan whatever you know
- 1:19:54that's that Thor energy it's. Like just hope, just hope, you
- 1:19:58just hope we have something to bail us out in the end.
- 1:20:02Maybe we'll need it, maybe we don't.
- 1:20:03Who cares? Whatever.
- 1:20:04Let's do it, yeah. Yeah, It's like, do I need this?
- 1:20:07I'm going. It's like why you got a rope?
- 1:20:09Like we're going out partying. Why you got a rope with you?
- 1:20:12I don't know. Just in case I need it.
- 1:20:15Rather be. I'd rather be.
- 1:20:16I'd rather need it. I'd rather have it have it and
- 1:20:19not need it than need it and not have.
- 1:20:21I have it. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:23Yeah, that's a good mindset to have.
- 1:20:27You know it. Really.
- 1:20:28Is. Yeah.
- 1:20:29It's like, it's like, go with the flow, but always be
- 1:20:32prepared. Yes.
- 1:20:35Yeah, 'cause you never know just what might pop up, you know?
- 1:20:40Like. Like like.
- 1:20:42What we should? Call it strategic, but not what?
- 1:20:44Not strategic at the same time. It's like Oxy where I'm being
- 1:20:49prepared, but also go with the flow, yeah.
- 1:20:51Yeah, like you got the basics and you got the basics at your
- 1:20:54belt, but yeah. You know, yeah, Survival kit for
- 1:20:58going out. Going out.
- 1:21:01Yeah, it's. Like, I don't want to be
- 1:21:05stranded in the middle of the woods anywhere, but I'm going to
- 1:21:08go. I'm going to just go run naked
- 1:21:10deep into it. Yeah, I'm just.
- 1:21:13Going to take the bare essentials, you know, like what,
- 1:21:15what's going to get me through the night or two and then I'll
- 1:21:19figure it out beyond that sort of thing.
- 1:21:22Yeah, it's. Like it's it's like carrying
- 1:21:25dental floss a a a hairpin or Bobby pin and maybe some matches
- 1:21:34will be good. Right.
- 1:21:37I used to know a guy, man, he was like, give me some, give me
- 1:21:39some, give me some duct tape, JB Weld and some Velcro and I'll
- 1:21:43build you a mansion. Well, that's, that's pretty bare
- 1:21:46bones right there. But I guess you can do it if you
- 1:21:48needed to, you know. But Blake, it's been a lot of
- 1:21:52fun. I've had a great time chatting
- 1:21:53with you. I think we'll wrap it up now.
- 1:21:56Where can everybody? Oh.
- 1:21:58Before I say something, I'm going to point the obvious
- 1:22:01elephant in the room here. I accidentally put my name as
- 1:22:05Bloke instead of Blake before people people start screaming in
- 1:22:11the in the comments. It's.
- 1:22:15Bloke. I didn't even catch that.
- 1:22:20I just saw that now I. Caught that way back when I'm
- 1:22:22like oh great it's embarrassing moment but OK yeah let's finish
- 1:22:27the thing it's. Bloke Russell.
- 1:22:31Well. Blake, yeah, Not the bloke.
- 1:22:34Blake is a bloke. He's a bloke.
- 1:22:35I'm a bloke. We're blokes.
- 1:22:37We're all blokes. Well.
- 1:22:38I I hope I'm a bloke, let me check between my pants here.
- 1:22:40Oops. I know how they keep it peachy.
- 1:22:47But where can everybody find you on social medias?
- 1:22:51I know you've had some recent changes to things, so make sure
- 1:22:54that that we can direct people to the right places for you on
- 1:22:58social medias. Where can everybody find you?
- 1:23:00Well, you. Can follow me on my Lee tree
- 1:23:02link. I I think Jesse here can can
- 1:23:06find that for you. It's posted on my it's on my
- 1:23:11Instagram and on my my Facebook page.
- 1:23:17Now again, I think it's also, I think it's also on my YouTube as
- 1:23:22well on YouTube. It's called.
- 1:23:26Yeah, so it's called. The works of course.
- 1:23:29And for those who are in Alabama who need some like holistic
- 1:23:34services, I am also at Sacred Roots holistic services.
- 1:23:41I think I think you find that just look at on my backlog of
- 1:23:44post where I share those and you can and Jesse here can find find
- 1:23:49that link, link trailing should be on there as well.
- 1:23:52Yeah, yeah. We'll put, we'll put all that
- 1:23:55down below for the folks that are watching us and in the show
- 1:23:58notes of everybody listening. So yeah.
- 1:24:00And that's where Ioffer my room readings and also Reiki do Reiki
- 1:24:04as well, as well as I'm expanding into show and drum
- 1:24:09journeys as well for private use.
- 1:24:12For yeah. Man, we'll have to connect.
- 1:24:14Man, we'll have to. We'll have to get in person
- 1:24:16because we, you know, we only met in person at one time at the
- 1:24:18Highland Show last year. Yeah, not that far away.
- 1:24:21You're in northern Alabama and I'm in the middle of Tennessee.
- 1:24:24Yeah, I know. I know they changed things up
- 1:24:25this year, but I'm going to definitely go on the Shadowmoot
- 1:24:28for that one day. Yeah.
- 1:24:30Are you coming? Yeah.
- 1:24:31I'm coming, sweet. Good, I'm bringing.
- 1:24:34I'm bringing the, I'm bringing the drum, I'm, I'm bringing, I'm
- 1:24:36bringing the big behemoth and I'm bringing and I'm bringing
- 1:24:39the tackle Harper. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 1:24:42yes, yes. Awesome, great.
- 1:24:43I'm excited for that, dude. If I'm not excited for anything
- 1:24:46else about Shadowmoot, then I'm excited for that because it's a
- 1:24:48totally different thing this year.
- 1:24:51But having you there with that and those things are going to.
- 1:24:54Be awesome. I'm I'm definitely coming
- 1:24:55because I wanted to go for a while.
- 1:24:57That's going to be closer to you.
- 1:24:59Is it this time I think? Yeah, it's here in Murfreesboro.
- 1:25:02It's like like on the road. Yeah.
- 1:25:04So that's. Closer to me than it would be to
- 1:25:06the other place, I guess. Yep.
- 1:25:09Yeah, you it saves you about an hour's Dr. N Oh.
- 1:25:12Yeah. So yeah, so.
- 1:25:14So yeah, I'm going to definitely come with that one day, even
- 1:25:18though it's not going to be for the full three weekends.
- 1:25:22Yeah, yeah. I mean, but we're going to still
- 1:25:24have fun. We are.
- 1:25:26We are. It's going to be a good time.
- 1:25:27I'm, I'm confident because there's plenty of good people
- 1:25:29that are going to be contributing to that.
- 1:25:32Yeah. And hopefully and hopefully
- 1:25:33things will turn out next year, they'll be a lot bigger and we
- 1:25:38get to hang out more. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 1:25:41They're already talking and they're already in talks about
- 1:25:45next year's event. Oh yeah, get it back up to the,
- 1:25:50you know, three day weekend sort of long term.
- 1:25:54Yeah, things. Change.
- 1:25:56Right, you got to go with the change.
- 1:25:58Yeah, of course I'm not even, I don't even ask for it.
- 1:26:01I'm, I'm, I'm guessing he's going to explain to it at, at
- 1:26:04the event what happens, you know, but I don't, I don't ask
- 1:26:08questions. I just.
- 1:26:10Let people explain it when they won't explain it right.
- 1:26:13Yeah. It's.
- 1:26:14It's again, it's their prerogative that they won't
- 1:26:17explain things then. Yeah.
- 1:26:20But I'm, I'm hoping to meet everybody and you and show you
- 1:26:23show me to your tribe and stuff. And yes.
- 1:26:26Sir AB. I can bring a friend as well.
- 1:26:28I've been trying to get it together.
- 1:26:30That's the reason why I asked you about the hammock situation
- 1:26:32is because he he has a hammock and stuff.
- 1:26:36So yeah, you know the. The the week, the the day thing,
- 1:26:40you know, it's, you know, as it's been, you know, like buy
- 1:26:43your ticket for the day or for the weekend.
- 1:26:46But yeah. This time.
- 1:26:47I don't know if you saw it, but like they, they recently
- 1:26:50updated. It's like, you know, it's, it's
- 1:26:51free admission. Just bring a side dish for the
- 1:26:53potluck 'cause they're, they're doing, they're doing a food
- 1:26:56thing, you know, to feed everybody that day.
- 1:26:58So just bring a side dish. You don't have to pay you.
- 1:27:00Well, I mean, it's a free entry unless you want to donate to the
