Proverbs 26:12
"Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them."
Right after warning us about the foolishness of repeating our mistakes in verse 11, Solomon delivers an even sharper wake-up call in verse 12. He points to someone who is actually in a worse position than a classic fool: the person who is convinced they already know it all.
Being "wise in your own eyes" is a quiet, subtle trap. It’s the posture that says: "I don't need advice; I've got this figured out."
