- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop, and
- 0:23let's start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody good. Morning.
- 0:29Let me ask you a question. Do you ever feel like you lose
- 0:33your enthusiasm for whatever it is that you're working on?
- 0:36I mean, I think it's a pretty common feeling, and I've had it
- 0:40myself and it comes from being misdirected, getting pulled in
- 0:4520 directions among a billion other things that it could be.
- 0:48But yesterday I had a major challenge with my computer.
- 0:53Like I'm talking a major challenge with my computer where
- 0:55all of a sudden something that has a TB of memory is telling me
- 0:59that it doesn't have the ability to upload videos.
- 1:03And of course, you know, this happens and I'm in the midst of
- 1:07trying to upload videos because that's when that would show up,
- 1:11right? And I can't get them over to
- 1:15where they're supposed to be. I'm super frustrated.
- 1:18And I've got to go to the Apple Store.
- 1:20So head to the Apple Store, get in there, and right away, you
- 1:25know, I had an hour, had a gap in my schedule, had somebody
- 1:28changed their time to another day this week.
- 1:30And I was like, OK, I'm going to just run down and take care of
- 1:32it. And they'll be able to fix it.
- 1:33The Wizards that they are walk in, they look at it and they're
- 1:37like, yeah, we're going to have to wipe the whole thing clean.
- 1:41Sometimes when this happens, the whole thing was just this one
- 1:44little tiny pocket of stuff that was clogged up.
- 1:48Doesn't even matter what was wrong with it.
- 1:49They had to wipe it clean and re back it up from, you know, my,
- 1:55the, the whole cloud. So I had to, I said, well, I
- 1:58can't do it now. I've got to come back.
- 2:00I've got too many things, other things to do and I'm going to
- 2:03come back at the end of the day. So at the end of the day, it's
- 2:05much quieter. There's not as much drama going
- 2:08on there. And I walk in and I get this
- 2:10amazing two team guys, technicians trying to figure out
- 2:14what did I do that initiated this problem to begin with?
- 2:16Because it was holding on to memory and it wasn't letting go
- 2:20of the memory from all this other stuff that I had been
- 2:22doing and it was causing it to dog out.
- 2:25And I kind of got into this conversation station with the
- 2:27guy while we were sitting there working on it.
- 2:29And I said, it's funny how it does that.
- 2:31It's like it's remembering everything and it's clogging the
- 2:34system. It's kind of like what we do.
- 2:35And he said, what do you mean? And I said, as humans, this is
- 2:37kind of what we do. We hang on to so many memories
- 2:40and it just dogs us out. And he's like, what do you, I
- 2:44don't understand. And I said, well, when you hang
- 2:46on to so many things, you, you start to feel burdened.
- 2:49You start to feel like you're flat lining.
- 2:51You start to feel flat about things.
- 2:53And it it and it happens. And he goes, I feel that way
- 2:56right now about my projects and the stuff that I'm doing outside
- 3:00of this. And we get into this very deep
- 3:01conversation. And he's like, that's such a
- 3:03cool analogy. I never thought of it that way.
- 3:05And I'm like, yeah, it'd be great sometimes if you could
- 3:07just wipe your memory clean, but then you wouldn't be you.
- 3:10So you have to have the memory. He's like, so how do you get out
- 3:13of it when you feel like you're flatlining?
- 3:15How do you feel like it when you just, you lost your mojo?
- 3:18You know, I have a lot of clients that say I've lost my
- 3:20mojo. And the thing that we have to
- 3:22remember is in that process of losing things and they're not
- 3:28really gone, OK? They're they're there, they're
- 3:31just not prioritized. They're not at the front of the
- 3:33bus, They're not the emotions driving, they're at the back.
- 3:38And often it's because we stop doing the things that we know
- 3:42matter. When we stop doing the things
- 3:44that we know matter, that things that change us, that help us,
- 3:47that's when we start to get into trouble.
- 3:50So it is imperative, it is in, it is critical that we
- 3:54constantly remember we have to do certain things to help us
- 3:58feel good about everything. We can't just cut that out.
- 4:01We can't just put it to the side.
- 4:03So one of the things that I had done before that was a a very
- 4:07major like problem in my world for me creatively was I stopped
- 4:13taking out my large Canon camera.
- 4:15I stopped taking close up pictures for the most part.
- 4:18I'd pull it out here and there, but it wasn't part of my daily
- 4:20activity because I was so focused on creating video
- 4:23content. And we're getting, you know, we
- 4:26have to get this video library built up for the YouTube channel
- 4:29and they're releasing them and they're working on them.
- 4:31And it took me out of, of things, not to mention there
- 4:34were just other things in my personal life that were calling
- 4:38for attention. And those things pull from
- 4:42where, where, what time you have.
- 4:44But I stopped doing the things that made me feel filled up.
- 4:47And I was explaining that to him and I said, I caught it really
- 4:50early. So it doesn't affect me, but it
- 4:52does affect me in a smaller way. It still does.
- 4:56I still have to work on it. I still have to progress with
- 4:59it. I still have to make it work.
- 5:01So the point of this today is to say if you feel like you're
- 5:05flatlining, if you feel like you've lost your mojo, if you
- 5:07feel like you're going into the southern summertime mindset of
- 5:12like, oh, it's so hot, I'm just going to sit and have a tea.
- 5:15You know, that's fine. It's fine.
- 5:18Just be aware of it. Choose to make sure that you are
- 5:22putting yourself in a place that you can get out of it quickly,
- 5:26unless you like to stay there, but this is for those that
- 5:28don't. Make sure you're doing something
- 5:31to fill yourself back up so that you can tether to that mojo,
- 5:35tether to that good stuff. Because when you're flatlining
- 5:38you, you have to know there is always a way out of it.
- 5:42It's just a question of what you're tapping into within
- 5:45yourself. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:47you have a blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 5:49Bye.
