- 0:51Speaker 2: the coming weeks.
- 0:52Speaker 1: No, it's better to apologize and ask for permission. That's
- 0:55Speaker 1: the saying.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Oh, it's better to ask for forgiveness and ask for permission.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yes, it's better to apologize for something than to ask
- 1:05Speaker 1: for permission because they could tell you no, that's the saying, Steward,
- 1:10Speaker 1: do you not?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Are you not better to ask for forgiveness than for permission?
- 1:16Speaker 1: Okay, well I know it, as it's easier to apologize
- 1:18Speaker 1: than ask for permission.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So well something yeah, okay.
- 1:22Speaker 1: All right, so we're back. We're going to Georgia this week.
- 1:26Speaker 1: We have been super super busy. We went on a

- 2:00Speaker 1: TikTok page, and I should be doing more reels on
- 2:03Speaker 1: our podcast page. So I've learned some things, so I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: going to start trying to do more of that. We're
- 2:08Speaker 1: actually recording some of this of us recording this podcast
- 2:12Speaker 1: right now, the camera is fixed on Stewart.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I am not appreciating this.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's not comfortable, and our room that we record this
- 2:20Speaker 1: in is a disaster. Yes, it's an upgrade from the
- 2:22Speaker 1: closet that we used to record in, but it's still
- 2:25Speaker 1: not great because we have three children and we record
- 2:29Speaker 1: in the office space, which is where we just throw
- 2:31Speaker 1: everything whenever company's coming over, so there's just shit piled
- 2:36Speaker 1: up everywhere. But anyway, so we start trying to post
- 2:40Speaker 1: more of that type of thing and then I'll have
- 2:42Speaker 1: the little TikTok page. Sorry, I just got some mail
- 2:44Speaker 1: in from emails. Don't leave these savings behind. Nice play
- 2:51Speaker 1: on words.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Somebody out to put the thing on silent.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I tried to put it on silent, but it still
- 2:56Speaker 1: keeps talking.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Shut up, Tara.
- 3:01Speaker 1: All right, So if you, if you've been, if you
- 3:03Speaker 1: are on our personal page, you do know that we
- 3:06Speaker 1: are actually planning on a trip to Europe. We are
- 3:08Speaker 1: going to Europe. We're gonna load up these three small children,
- 3:11Speaker 1: these three.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Again again, why do you tell everybody? Please don't rob us.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I didn't tell them when we were going. But if
- 3:17Speaker 1: you come over for Thanksgiving, we won't be here. No,
- 3:23Speaker 1: we have somebody staying here and they have giant pit bulls. Yes,
- 3:27Speaker 1: and then there's ks and then there's jinks. So anyways,
- 3:31Speaker 1: we're getting ready for that. So we're going to try
- 3:33Speaker 1: to get an episode out next week, and then it's
- 3:36Speaker 1: gonna be a bit dicey there for the next couple
- 3:38Speaker 1: of weeks while we're where we're doing stuff.
- 3:41Speaker 3: So just f.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yi, we appreciate just no Stewart, no, anyways, we appreciate
- 3:50Speaker 1: your patience. But if you'd like to fall along on
- 3:52Speaker 1: that journey of us going to Europe with three small children,
- 3:54Speaker 1: because they're if some of you don't know, we have
- 3:56Speaker 1: a three year old, a two year old, and an
- 3:58Speaker 1: eight month old. If you'd like to see that shit
- 4:00Speaker 1: show go down. Because I decided in my postpartum haze
- 4:06Speaker 1: that it would be a great idea.
- 4:07Speaker 2: To test this marriage, and so yeah, say they married
- 4:10Speaker 2: through this year.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're going to see the Christmas markets. I'm
- 4:14Speaker 1: pretty excited about that. And anyways, so yeah, all right,
- 4:19Speaker 1: check us out on Instagram, Like I said, Bless This
- 4:21Speaker 1: Mess podcast, check us out on Facebook, Patreon. We really
- 4:28Speaker 1: appreciate everybody support, and you get to the episodes twenty
- 4:32Speaker 1: four hours early and they're at free over there if
- 4:34Speaker 1: you sign up for the Patreon and it's just for
- 4:37Speaker 1: general support. So we appreciate you guys. And I guess
- 4:41Speaker 1: we'll go ahead and get into this week's case out
- 4:45Speaker 1: of Georgia.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You ready to I just hanging on every word.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yes. Samuel Christian Poss was born June twelfth, nineteen eighty eight,
- 4:54Speaker 1: in Carrie, North Carolina, to Chris and Nicole Pass. He
- 4:58Speaker 1: had one brother, named loc Sam's family relocated to Perry, Georgia,
- 5:03Speaker 1: where Sam would grow up. He developed a love of
- 5:06Speaker 1: music in middle school and he began playing the percussion
- 5:09Speaker 1: in the school band. Is what's the percussions do? Is
- 5:12Speaker 1: that the symbols? Do you know?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Percussion is just beaten on things?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Okay, kind of like I do, Stuart, What is wrong
- 5:22Speaker 1: with you?
- 5:22Speaker 2: You're talking about playing the drums with the kids and
- 5:24Speaker 2: the bongos and stuff. What are you talking about?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Oh my god. Anyways, this love would continue into high school,
- 5:33Speaker 1: where he would lead percussion as the captain of the
- 5:36Speaker 1: drum line. He was very involved with music, even starting
- 5:39Speaker 1: to teach himself piano. So he's he's just like a
- 5:43Speaker 1: I knew a guy like this whenever I was growing up,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and he could literally play any instrument. He could do everything.
- 5:48Speaker 1: They're just musically gifted. To me, that seemed like a
- 5:51Speaker 1: person from another planet, because I have absolutely no musical
- 5:54Speaker 1: talents whatsoever.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I can play radio all.
- 5:56Speaker 1: That, Although that one time I did say I could
- 5:58Speaker 1: play the skin flute really well, and I still don't
- 6:01Speaker 1: live it down from start, he says, I said.
- 6:03Speaker 2: That on eighty four years ago, and.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I said it again, So you know, I don't actually
- 6:10Speaker 1: learn any lessons, so his parents would divorce while he
- 6:14Speaker 1: was in high school. He graduated in two thousand and
- 6:16Speaker 1: six from that Perry High School. Now. Sam was described
- 6:20Speaker 1: as very intelligent and he had almost like a photographic memory.
- 6:24Speaker 1: He just he could retain information very well. He developed
- 6:28Speaker 1: an interest in coding, which is perfect for someone like that,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and spent many hours learning the trade on his own
- 6:34Speaker 1: outside of the classes he was taking after he graduated
- 6:37Speaker 1: from high school. He was also just very caring and
- 6:40Speaker 1: he just they said he loved to help other people
- 6:43Speaker 1: that needed it, like he would if somebody called ask
- 6:45Speaker 1: for help. He was he would always just drop everything,
- 6:47Speaker 1: be like, yeah, I can head over there and do that.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Sam lived with his Sam lived with his dad, but
- 6:53Speaker 1: became more independent after high school and would crash with
- 6:56Speaker 1: friends sometimes for days at a time, because I think
- 6:58Speaker 1: he was kind of into that like computer lifestyle. You know,
- 7:01Speaker 1: they stay up late real you know, they stay up
- 7:04Speaker 1: late at nights.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Do that's what I hear. That's what it's shows on
- 7:07Speaker 2: the movies. Whenever they're staying up late, they're always like coding.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Yeah till like three am. So I think he's kind
- 7:12Speaker 1: of doing those tapping yeah, tippity tap, tippity tap and everything.
- 7:17Speaker 1: So I think he did all that stuff. And so
- 7:19Speaker 1: he'd sleep in the morning, but he would he would
- 7:20Speaker 1: just kind of crash at friend's house. So it wasn't
- 7:23Speaker 1: oh sorry, guys. It wasn't unlike him to be gone
- 7:27Speaker 1: for a couple of days and he but he would check.
- 7:31Speaker 2: He would, he would check.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Yes, he would definitely check in. He just maybe wouldn't
- 7:35Speaker 1: be staying there with his dad at this during those times.
- 7:39Speaker 2: On October fourteenth, two thousand and eight, Sam's father had
- 7:42Speaker 2: not heard from Sam for a day or so. And
- 7:45Speaker 2: now while this was normal, like we said, for Sam
- 7:47Speaker 2: to go stay at a friend's house, it was not
- 7:49Speaker 2: normal for them not to hear it from him.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Unlike what Stu said.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Unlike what I was asking, I didn't say it. I
- 7:55Speaker 2: was questioning.
- 7:56Speaker 1: You're just asking questions. I'm just asking questions.
- 7:59Speaker 2: On Saturday today evening, his father was starting to get concerned.
- 8:03Speaker 2: But on Sunday he knew something was wrong. Sam was
- 8:06Speaker 2: supposed to meet his brother and father to go to
- 8:08Speaker 2: the County Fair. Sam would not have missed this event
- 8:11Speaker 2: if been didntly, it was the big to do. Sam's
- 8:15Speaker 2: family begins let us know. Yes, Sam's family begins reaching
- 8:20Speaker 2: out to his friends and looking in places where he
- 8:22Speaker 2: might be staying. With no luck. The concern grows that
- 8:25Speaker 2: something happened to Sam. His father, Chris, was able to
- 8:29Speaker 2: access his computer, and he looks to see if there's
- 8:32Speaker 2: any clue where Sam might be. He finds an instant
- 8:35Speaker 2: message chain where Sam is speaking to Dakota White.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You know what I have to say, though, I don't
- 8:40Speaker 1: think the kid was up to He must have been
- 8:42Speaker 1: a pretty good kid if his dad could access his computer,
- 8:44Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, usually they're to no good. They got
- 8:48Speaker 1: some pretty especially if he knows how to code and stuff.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not sure about this white kid though.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Now, Chris was familiar with Dakota, but he was not
- 8:58Speaker 2: a normal friend that Sam hung out with with. The
- 9:01Speaker 2: message was Dakota asking Sam to help him with his computer,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and Sam agreed to come over on Friday to assist
- 9:08Speaker 2: Sam or Chris speaks to Dakota and Dakota says the
- 9:11Speaker 2: last time he saw Sam was early Saturday morning at
- 9:14Speaker 2: one thirty am. Dakota asked Sam, well, this is what
- 9:18Speaker 2: Dakota is saying. He's saying that He asked Sam if
- 9:20Speaker 2: you wanted to ride, he said Dan Dan. Sam declined
- 9:25Speaker 2: and said he would walk home. It was not too
- 9:27Speaker 2: far and Sam tended to walk a lot of places.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Dakota and Chris retraced the steps that Sam might have taken,
- 9:34Speaker 2: which would have been through the woods behind the house,
- 9:37Speaker 2: but with no luck. Chris contacted the police that Sunday
- 9:41Speaker 2: evening about his missing son.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Police arrive at the Poss home to speak with Chris
- 9:46Speaker 1: and he tells them what he knows and that they
- 9:49Speaker 1: had the last person that had seen Sam had seen
- 9:52Speaker 1: him around one thirty am leaving Dakota's house through the
- 9:56Speaker 1: woods and he was actually barefoot. But again, this was
- 9:59Speaker 1: not on common for Sam to run around barefoot. Apparently,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I don't know, he's just a it's a odd you know,
- 10:06Speaker 1: a different duck. You know.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Well, there's there's new things today about people grounding. They
- 10:10Speaker 2: think you need to go outside and walk barefoot on
- 10:12Speaker 2: to get grounded. They even sell grounding sheets. Now, well
- 10:15Speaker 2: they say that's it, you plug into your outlet grounding. Oh, well,
- 10:18Speaker 2: that's just a marketing ploy. But I've heard that like
- 10:22Speaker 2: children and stuff, toddlers and everything. When you see him
- 10:25Speaker 2: go lay on the floor. They're naturally they are. They're
- 10:27Speaker 2: grounding at that point to try to regulate their their
- 10:30Speaker 2: nervous system. And it's actually something that we just kind
- 10:33Speaker 2: of discipline out of ourselves. But it's actually that's why
- 10:36Speaker 2: you see children that will just go lay on the
- 10:38Speaker 2: floor and just like Jamison does it a lot.
- 10:41Speaker 1: No, you don't, you're just like drunk. Well you might
- 10:45Speaker 1: have been drinking.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Too much tomato, tomato, but no, he does.
- 10:50Speaker 1: It a lot. I noticed that he grounds himself. What
- 10:53Speaker 1: is what? I think? He grounds himself. Anka just gets
- 10:58Speaker 1: grounded a lot because she's a defiant little thing. So
- 11:04Speaker 1: again they're trying to explain to the police, like, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 1: the barefoot thing, isn't that concerning. They pull Sam's parents
- 11:11Speaker 1: in together again. They were divorced, but the mom as
- 11:13Speaker 1: soon as she found out, she comes into town and
- 11:16Speaker 1: they speak to them together and ask about any enemies
- 11:18Speaker 1: or any issues that Sam might have had with someone,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and they have to tell them about Sam being molested
- 11:23Speaker 1: by his sixteen year old cousin when he was only
- 11:26Speaker 1: four years old. The parents ended up pressing charges against
- 11:30Speaker 1: the cousin and he was sentenced to ten years probation
- 11:32Speaker 1: in order to stay away from Sam. He should have
- 11:34Speaker 1: been freaking thrown in jail for life.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Are the wood chipper?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yeah, So police are wondering if the cousin has a
- 11:40Speaker 1: grudge against Sam for telling on him all those years ago,
- 11:43Speaker 1: because apparently it was a whole ordeal because you know,
- 11:47Speaker 1: the mom and the dad did the right thing. They
- 11:48Speaker 1: pressed charges. They didn't they're like, fuck the family, Like
- 11:51Speaker 1: the family didn't want They were trying to urge them
- 11:54Speaker 1: not to actually press charges and stuff, you know, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: just keep it within the family. And they're like, no,
- 11:58Speaker 1: we're not doing that.
- 11:59Speaker 2: We're pressing charges of this sick delatron with your fucking kid.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I know, yeah, Cebrity. So there was a big divide
- 12:05Speaker 1: in the family whenever this happened, So it wasn't like
- 12:07Speaker 1: a small small thing. They speak to the cousin, but
- 12:11Speaker 1: he was able to give an alibi that he's with
- 12:13Speaker 1: his parents at the time and they confirmed this, so
- 12:15Speaker 1: right now you know it is the parents. But right
- 12:18Speaker 1: now it's looking like he wouldn't have had the opportunity,
- 12:21Speaker 1: and it's even though it caused a lot of problems,
- 12:23Speaker 1: it may have been a bit of a stretch that
- 12:24Speaker 1: he would come in like kill a nineteen year old,
- 12:26Speaker 1: you know, or do something to a nineteen year old. So,
- 12:29Speaker 1: with no real leads, the Pause family began getting the
- 12:31Speaker 1: community involved. They start by passing out flowers and getting
- 12:35Speaker 1: his face out into the community to start looking for him.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Police retrace the area where Sam was last seen. They
- 12:42Speaker 2: searched with dogs as well as helicopters, and they had
- 12:45Speaker 2: thirty to forty volunteers a search in the woods. The
- 12:48Speaker 2: area they were looking in was a thick wooded area
- 12:51Speaker 2: between the houses, and there were also abandoned buildings in
- 12:55Speaker 2: that area. They find nothing in any other searches. They
- 12:59Speaker 2: continue to search and they start monitoring the area at
- 13:02Speaker 2: night where they when they see a guy walking around
- 13:04Speaker 2: in the cordon off area. The guy was Sam's age
- 13:08Speaker 2: and he said he went to high school with Sam
- 13:10Speaker 2: and he wanted to search in the areas that maybe
- 13:13Speaker 2: the police were not aware of.
- 13:14Speaker 1: That sounds suspicious And then why are you doing it
- 13:17Speaker 1: at night? It's all just strange.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you tell the place, hey, there's these other areas.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, because also it's one of those things where
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know, the sometimes the person who.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Who who has something to do with it.
- 13:29Speaker 1: We'll start in searching themselves into the investigation, whether it
- 13:33Speaker 1: be going to the memorial service, help them with the searches.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I mean, look at Scott Peterson.
- 13:38Speaker 2: I mean wow, Wow, let's not mention that because we
- 13:43Speaker 2: haven't recorded that other.
- 13:44Speaker 1: We haven't recorded the other portion. Sorry, guys. Maybe we'll
- 13:47Speaker 1: try to do that while we're out and that can
- 13:48Speaker 1: be like a Patreon only thing. We'll see about we
- 13:51Speaker 1: can we can swing that one. Maybe.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Not making promises, I didn't make.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Any promises, I said, maybe we can if we if
- 13:56Speaker 1: we have whether.
- 13:58Speaker 2: It's right, nobody nobody heard the work.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Maybe if the weather's right, and yeah, and everything lines.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Up, can we get back to this fellow they found
- 14:07Speaker 2: in the woods? No, his story seemed odd, so they
- 14:10Speaker 2: looked into his whereabouts on the night that this went down,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and he had a solid alibi, so it was another
- 14:17Speaker 2: dead end. They continue looking at theories. Did Sam possibly
- 14:20Speaker 2: run off with the fair and become a carny? Oh,
- 14:24Speaker 2: I don't know. He can be one of them carneyfolk. Now,
- 14:26Speaker 2: it wasn't completely it's not completely a new thing for
- 14:29Speaker 2: someone to want a different lifestyle. And they got to
- 14:31Speaker 2: get the Carny somewhere.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's not It sounds crazy, but people
- 14:36Speaker 1: do that. People just like you know what, I'm just
- 14:38Speaker 1: going to pick up and travel the country with the fair.
- 14:42Speaker 2: They are able to track down where the fair went next,
- 14:45Speaker 2: and no one has seen Sam, so it's another dead end.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Finally they get something useful and an anonymous tip comes
- 14:52Speaker 2: in telling police that he saw someone at the car
- 14:55Speaker 2: wash the night that he was with.
- 15:01Speaker 1: The night that Sam went missing, Yes, the.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Last time they heard from Sam. The collar tells police
- 15:07Speaker 2: that the person cleaning the car, Oh, he said he
- 15:10Speaker 2: saw a guy spending hours cleaning his car. Yes, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: the person that was cleaning their car for hours.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Was no other than them, Dakota White.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Dakota White the guy that Sam was last seen with.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So they tried to learn a little more about Dakota
- 15:26Speaker 1: and he did not have like the best home life.
- 15:29Speaker 1: His dad was in jail and his mom had addiction problems.
- 15:33Speaker 1: He was living with his grandparents at the time of
- 15:35Speaker 1: Sam's disappearance. His friends knew he had like pretty rough
- 15:39Speaker 1: life and that his grandparents, but he had this rough
- 15:42Speaker 1: life and everything, so he kind of lived this life
- 15:44Speaker 1: with no rules and everything and then he goes and
- 15:46Speaker 1: moves with these grandparents and the grandparents are super strict
- 15:50Speaker 1: with him. So needless to say that Dakota had a
- 15:54Speaker 1: pretty rough upbringing and then he's kind of been moved
- 15:58Speaker 1: back and forth between family members. Now he's living with
- 16:00Speaker 1: his grandparents and they've kind of put the lockdown on him.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So he became depressed and he attempted suicide but did
- 16:07Speaker 1: not did not succeed. And this was kind of well
- 16:11Speaker 1: known but with his friends and things like that, so
- 16:14Speaker 1: police were able. That's a little background on who Dakota was.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So police were able to obtain a search warrant for
- 16:20Speaker 1: Dakota's vehicle now that they need. Now they just need
- 16:22Speaker 1: to track down Dakota. I had a cat named Dakota's
- 16:25Speaker 1: Duis's Coda Cuckoo had. He was like a big fluffy cat.
- 16:31Speaker 1: So all I see is Dakota, you know, whenever I
- 16:34Speaker 1: see this. I had a dog named Daisy, and they
- 16:37Speaker 1: were arch nemesis, Daisy and Dakota. So Daisy would always
- 16:41Speaker 1: try to Dakota hate Coda Cuckoo hated Daisy.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Oh she was a herder, Yes, she was a herder.
- 16:47Speaker 1: And then she moved on to Smigel, whenever Dakota died
- 16:50Speaker 1: and then.
- 16:51Speaker 2: She moved on to a great reward.
- 16:53Speaker 1: She did she harassed somebody in between there before she
- 16:57Speaker 1: was harassed until the end she was at all she
- 16:59Speaker 1: was a yeah, yeah, she was a good dong. So
- 17:04Speaker 1: on October nineteenth, twenty sixteen, someone's birthday, Dakota's mom went
- 17:10Speaker 1: over to her sister's home, Dakota's aunt, and confess that
- 17:14Speaker 1: Dakota had confided in her that he was involved with
- 17:18Speaker 1: Sam's disappearance. So the mom knew something, goes over, talks
- 17:22Speaker 1: to the ant and just lays it all out there.
- 17:26Speaker 1: So the aunt or the aunt and the mom they
- 17:28Speaker 1: kind of went back and forth on whether to turn
- 17:31Speaker 1: him in, and finally the sister was like, no, we
- 17:36Speaker 1: need to. We got to turn this in. This is
- 17:38Speaker 1: not right. So they immediately call the police and tell
- 17:42Speaker 1: them what they know. The sister does police head to
- 17:45Speaker 1: I guess the mom didn't have feel comfortable actually talking
- 17:47Speaker 1: to the police, so the sister did it for So
- 17:49Speaker 1: the police head to the home and speak to Dakota's family. Now,
- 17:52Speaker 1: with the information provided, they were able to track down
- 17:54Speaker 1: Dakota and bring him in for questioning. Dakota initially seems
- 17:58Speaker 1: pretty laid back and relaxed, but he quickly changes his tone.
- 18:02Speaker 2: But the value more off.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yes, whatever he was on was like that the nerves,
- 18:08Speaker 1: the nerves overcame whatever, and he was starting to get
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know, antsy and stressed out looking, and so he
- 18:17Speaker 1: breaks down and he starts to tell detectives what happened.
- 18:20Speaker 1: He starts by saying Sam is not alive. He says
- 18:24Speaker 1: that he did kill Sam, but he didn't do it
- 18:26Speaker 1: on his own. He had an accomplice named Brandon Warren. Yeah.
- 18:31Speaker 1: He tells police that him and Brandon did not see
- 18:34Speaker 1: any purpose to life and they wanted to kill themselves,
- 18:38Speaker 1: but they wanted to kill someone else first. Like, this
- 18:40Speaker 1: is very The reason that this the Sam kid died,
- 18:45Speaker 1: is absolutely insane. I mean this is really this set
- 18:48Speaker 1: story is very scary because that you people, you always
- 18:52Speaker 1: think like you're gonna if if someone kills you, it's
- 18:55Speaker 1: someone who's like thought it out or anything. This is
- 18:57Speaker 1: just people, as you hear this, just thought this up
- 18:59Speaker 1: on a whim, that they were gonna kill somebody.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Spoiler alert, So shut up.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Still, So they discussed options on who they could kill.
- 19:08Speaker 1: They talked about possibly driving around and finding someone jogging alone. Scary.
- 19:12Speaker 1: That's why you don't go jogging or doing like a
- 19:14Speaker 1: home invasion and killing someone. So this is this is terror.
- 19:17Speaker 1: This is a horror movie. Can you imagine just that's
- 19:20Speaker 1: your worst fear, that someone's just gonna break into your
- 19:22Speaker 1: house with the intent to kill you like no other reason.
- 19:25Speaker 1: They don't. They don't want to live, They don't want
- 19:26Speaker 1: to for any it. They don't want anything else in life.
- 19:29Speaker 1: They don't want to burglarize you nothing. They just want
- 19:31Speaker 1: to kill you or just popping you off the street
- 19:33Speaker 1: while you're out for a walk or something. They finally
- 19:37Speaker 1: settled on Sam because they knew he was a nice guy,
- 19:40Speaker 1: which is disturbing, and who could come over and help
- 19:43Speaker 1: at a moment's notice. They knew they could just like
- 19:46Speaker 1: we said, he's always trying to help everybody out, So
- 19:49Speaker 1: he was just gonna they could just send him a
- 19:51Speaker 1: message and say, hey, I need help with my computer
- 19:53Speaker 1: or whatever, and he's gonna drop everything in head on over,
- 19:55Speaker 1: which is exactly what he did.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Please find out more about Brandon Warren. He was a
- 20:00Speaker 2: senior at the same high school as Sam. He was
- 20:03Speaker 2: known to be a quiet at school, but outside of
- 20:05Speaker 2: class he was very dark and would talk about hurting
- 20:09Speaker 2: people the way his family abused him. Brandon seems like
- 20:13Speaker 2: a ticking time bomb and police need to track him
- 20:16Speaker 2: down quickly. They found him asleep in bed at three am,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and he seemed afraid and timid, not how he portrayed
- 20:23Speaker 2: himself outside of school. Brandon immediately lawyered up. They continue
- 20:28Speaker 2: to press Dakota and he walks through the events of
- 20:30Speaker 2: that night. They picked up Sam and went to their home.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Dakota started trying to strangle Sam with a wire, but
- 20:38Speaker 2: the wire broke when Sam began to struggle.
- 20:41Speaker 1: This is also crazy to me that they just decided.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Two people just decided that they wanted to kill somebody.
- 20:47Speaker 2: We're going to kill somebody, then we're going to kill ourselves.
- 20:50Speaker 2: That'll be awesome, It'll be a great day.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It sounds like something went wrong in their plan, though,
- 20:54Speaker 1: because one person's dead and two people are lives.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yes, and it then seemed like they tried to kill
- 21:00Speaker 2: themselves at all. Dakota started a trip and wire broke.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Dakota then put his arm around Sam's neck and then
- 21:07Speaker 2: a plastic bag while Brandon started stabbing Sam. They panicked
- 21:12Speaker 2: once it was over due to the crime scene because
- 21:14Speaker 2: there was blood everywhere. They asked Dakota where Sam's body was,
- 21:19Speaker 2: and he said that they dumped him in the back
- 21:21Speaker 2: of Lake Joy Village, which is down the last street
- 21:25Speaker 2: in that area.
- 21:26Speaker 1: If you're familiar with the area, Yes, we always put
- 21:29Speaker 1: the We always put the sight. What if somebody's familiar
- 21:32Speaker 1: with them, like, oh my god, I was just down
- 21:33Speaker 1: Joy Drive.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Now there is a creek that runs through there and
- 21:37Speaker 2: it is where people dump their dead animals. He said
- 21:40Speaker 2: that is where they could find Sam. So they kill
- 21:44Speaker 2: him on a whim and then they just dumped him
- 21:45Speaker 2: in a creek with a bunch of where people dump
- 21:47Speaker 2: their dead animals. Lovely. Now, the horror of the crime
- 21:51Speaker 2: scene was absolutely shocking to investigators because this is town
- 21:56Speaker 2: does not have a lot of murders.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a small town, and I mean, I don't
- 21:59Speaker 1: know many towns that have two random eighteen nineteen year
- 22:03Speaker 1: olds that decide that they're just gonna stab somebody to death.
- 22:06Speaker 1: That's insane.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Well, they didn't decide to stab them, they were just
- 22:09Speaker 2: gonna kill them and just happened to be stabbing. Oh, well,
- 22:13Speaker 2: they didn't even have a plan.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I know they didn't have a plan, but I'm just saying, well,
- 22:16Speaker 1: they had the knife there as some sort of the plan,
- 22:19Speaker 1: as a backup plan. It doesn't matter. They just there
- 22:24Speaker 1: was two random eighteen nineteen year old kids gonna go
- 22:26Speaker 1: and just kill somebody, a friend of theirs that they
- 22:29Speaker 1: had actually inter I mean, what is wrong with these
- 22:31Speaker 1: people that they had interacted with and hung out with,
- 22:34Speaker 1: and that the kid was coming over to help them,
- 22:35Speaker 1: and then they're gonna kill.
- 22:37Speaker 2: He's a nice guy. We'll get him over easy.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It is a little bit disturbing, A little bit stood,
- 22:45Speaker 2: a little bit, Okay, it's very disturbing. Police pressed the
- 22:48Speaker 2: Code on how they came up with this brilliant idea,
- 22:52Speaker 2: and the Coda said it all came up in one day.
- 22:55Speaker 2: They asked him about the suicide pack and what happened
- 22:58Speaker 2: to that part of.
- 22:58Speaker 1: The Yeah, what happened?
- 22:59Speaker 2: What happened happened?
- 23:00Speaker 1: Dumbasses? Why aren't you dead? Dakota said that it has
- 23:03Speaker 1: a lot of money right now.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to tell you what.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I turn yourself in.
- 23:06Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you.
- 23:06Speaker 1: What I know you're going to tell me. I know
- 23:08Speaker 1: you what you're gonna tell me, because I wrote it.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Dakota said that after they killed Sam, it just never
- 23:13Speaker 2: was brought up again.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Just just they forgot that part of the plan.
- 23:18Speaker 2: After disposing of Sam's body, they just went their separate
- 23:21Speaker 2: ways and they never spoke of it again again.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Absolutely insane that they could just go on about their
- 23:28Speaker 1: life and just be like, oh, well, we're just going
- 23:30Speaker 1: to not do that suicide part and then just pretend
- 23:34Speaker 1: like we.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Always say it all the time.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Happened.
- 23:36Speaker 2: There was some lady whose kid went missing and she
- 23:38Speaker 2: was just partying it up.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Oh was that a one, miss Casey Anthony, Mother of
- 23:46Speaker 1: the Year.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Whenever you think you're feel like you're not doing well,
- 23:50Speaker 1: just remember Casey Anthony. If you're not feel like you're
- 23:53Speaker 1: not doing well. As mom, so because you gave your
- 23:57Speaker 1: child the wrong color plate and she flipped out on you.
- 24:00Speaker 1: That happened to not today, But it's it's a it's
- 24:04Speaker 1: usually the cup or or the.
- 24:07Speaker 2: Snap, the house, the house. Oh we didn't fix the house, right?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, she we have to put like a house,
- 24:13Speaker 1: which is basically just a blanket draped over the end
- 24:15Speaker 1: of each side of her bed. Every night, and sometimes
- 24:19Speaker 1: it falls down or it's not positioned right, and then
- 24:21Speaker 1: that turns into a full on meltdown, or the fact
- 24:24Speaker 1: that we don't live in Orange House has been was
- 24:27Speaker 1: that that was the thing. We stayed in an airbnb
- 24:30Speaker 1: in Florida when we went to the cruise.
- 24:32Speaker 2: For like three days, maybe four.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Not even four. We stayed there two nights. We got
- 24:36Speaker 1: there on Wednesday and we left on Saturday. We stay
- 24:40Speaker 1: there three nights and we were gone. We didn't hang
- 24:43Speaker 1: out in Orange House. We we went and did things.
- 24:46Speaker 1: We went to the Kennedy Center and did did all
- 24:48Speaker 1: sorts of things that she became obsessed with this Orange house.
- 24:52Speaker 1: And we were coming home from Disney. She's like, We're
- 24:53Speaker 1: going to Orange House. And I'm like, I'm like, orange House.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I didn't even know what she was talking about, but
- 24:58Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah, s sure. And so when we
- 25:01Speaker 1: pull up to our house, our house has like his
- 25:04Speaker 1: brick and it's kind of got that little bit of
- 25:06Speaker 1: that tone of maybe a little orange. I'm like, oh,
- 25:09Speaker 1: this is Orange House, and I'm feeling all happy. I'm like,
- 25:13Speaker 1: oh my god, she missed our house and you never
- 25:16Speaker 1: think that not orange house. She started crying and everything going,
- 25:21Speaker 1: this is not Orange House, This not Orange House. And
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm like Orange House. And then finally I figured out
- 25:25Speaker 1: it was this stupid airbnb in Florida. Wasn't talking about
- 25:28Speaker 1: the Disney Cruise, none of that. She was talking about
- 25:30Speaker 1: this Orange House. So she has mentioned Orange House.
- 25:33Speaker 2: So you could have just saved us all that money
- 25:34Speaker 2: on a Disney Crius and just taken up to that
- 25:36Speaker 2: band Florida.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a nice airbnb, though, I will give
- 25:39Speaker 1: her that. Please bring up charges against Brandon and Dakota.
- 25:44Speaker 1: And on October twentieth, they go to the site where
- 25:47Speaker 1: Dakota said Sam was disposed of and were able to
- 25:50Speaker 1: recover his body under a tarp, buried in a shallow grave.
- 25:53Speaker 1: They were also able to recover all of the weapons
- 25:56Speaker 1: used to attack and kill Sam. They also processed Dakota's
- 26:00Speaker 1: and found blood all in the cushions of the front seat,
- 26:03Speaker 1: and the blood matched to Sam. So there's just there
- 26:06Speaker 1: was so much blood. It just dripped down and soaked
- 26:08Speaker 1: into the seat. Even though he tried to clean up
- 26:10Speaker 1: the surface blood, it was all in the actual foam.
- 26:14Speaker 1: That yellow foam was just drenched in blood. Both Brandon
- 26:18Speaker 1: and Dakota were charged with malice, murder, and concealing a death. Now,
- 26:22Speaker 1: in May of twenty eighteen, Dakota White went on trial
- 26:25Speaker 1: and was found guilty. Some believe the reason that he
- 26:28Speaker 1: went on trial was for appials purposes, because he obviously
- 26:32Speaker 1: confessed to police that he did it. He led him
- 26:34Speaker 1: to the body, laid everything out. They believe that he
- 26:37Speaker 1: went to trial so that he might have the option
- 26:40Speaker 1: to appeal for you know, instead of making a plea deal,
- 26:44Speaker 1: because if you make a plea deal, you can't appeal
- 26:46Speaker 1: your sentencing down the line. And because they were thinking
- 26:51Speaker 1: if the judge did since he was so young when
- 26:53Speaker 1: this happened, they're thinking maybe they could appeal that it
- 26:56Speaker 1: was cruel and unusual punishment since he was young, if
- 26:59Speaker 1: the judge did a really long sentence. And the judge
- 27:04Speaker 1: did do that, so he had the options of a
- 27:05Speaker 1: minimum of thirty years or the max punishment, which was
- 27:08Speaker 1: life in prison without pearl, and the judge went with
- 27:10Speaker 1: the life in prison without pearl. So they were, you know,
- 27:14Speaker 1: hoping that.
- 27:14Speaker 2: So wood Chepper was not on the town. No, it
- 27:16Speaker 2: was not.
- 27:17Speaker 1: So since they went with life in prison without pearl,
- 27:20Speaker 1: then they did try to appeal it later on down
- 27:22Speaker 1: the line, saying it was a little bit extreme for
- 27:25Speaker 1: a teenager poor, but everybody's like, fuck you you, Dakota.
- 27:32Speaker 1: So Brandon Warren went on trial a week later and
- 27:35Speaker 1: he was also found guilty and he was sentenced to
- 27:37Speaker 1: life without pearl. And again, like I said, they piled
- 27:41Speaker 1: these things and they were both held up in January
- 27:43Speaker 1: twenty twenty by the Georgia Supreme Court their sentences, so
- 27:46Speaker 1: they did not get out. Yeah. So anyway, so that's
- 27:51Speaker 1: our case out of Georgia. Very disturbing. I found that
- 27:54Speaker 1: just that two people could just randomly want to decide
- 27:58Speaker 1: to kill somebody and then just go and do it.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah, suck them two girls that did that slender Man thing, yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Or the that was the ones that beat the girl
- 28:07Speaker 1: in the did they kill her? I because there was
- 28:11Speaker 1: another one where two teenage girls they tried to kill
- 28:14Speaker 1: that one girl and she survived. I think that was
- 28:17Speaker 1: the slender Man one.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember the slender Man. They were like reading
- 28:23Speaker 2: all those stories or something.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Yeah about the slender Man online and decided to.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Want wanted them to do it or something else.
- 28:32Speaker 1: All right, So that'll conclude our case. Stu, do you
- 28:34Speaker 1: have your y'all need Jesus?
- 28:35Speaker 2: I always do you always?
- 28:38Speaker 1: No, you don't always, but okay.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you still won't let me do. The Russian tourist
- 28:43Speaker 2: in Thailand that was trying to have sex with I won't.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I will. There's there are limits. Stewart to y'all need Jesus, okay.
- 28:48Speaker 2: And then he got gored by said bowl.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I already said skin flute, playing the skin flute earlier
- 28:53Speaker 1: this episode. We have got to have some sort of decorum.
- 28:57Speaker 2: We got to be We used our one, We used
- 29:01Speaker 2: our one unclassy moment because of you. Yes, brainless cook
- 29:08Speaker 2: cooks Wow. Brainless crooks busted for kidnapping next to a
- 29:14Speaker 2: police department training center Florida or not dnapping. They kidnap
- 29:21Speaker 2: somebody next to a police department training center, not Florida.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Brainless crooks busted for kidnapping next to NYPD training center
- 29:34Speaker 2: by Tina Moore and Natalie O'Neill may One from The
- 29:39Speaker 2: New York Post. They picked the wrong Yes she does.
- 29:45Speaker 2: I think she plays a good They picked the wrong
- 29:48Speaker 2: spot for a kidnapping. A group of bumbling crooks were
- 29:51Speaker 2: busted for allegedly forcing a victim into a car and
- 29:54Speaker 2: holding him for ransom just feet from an NYPD training center.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Police said there would be abductors allegedly lured the nineteen
- 30:04Speaker 2: year old victim to the Okay new All trekt Avenue
- 30:08Speaker 2: and seventy second Street in Bensonhurst at ten pm.
- 30:13Speaker 1: So everyone, the four listeners in New York are really
- 30:16Speaker 1: upset with you right now.
- 30:18Speaker 2: You think for butchering on that they might not even
- 30:20Speaker 2: know where this is. They might live in a different Burrow.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Wednesday after a.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Grain knows something about burrows.
- 30:26Speaker 2: I know about burrowing Wednesday after a Grain to buy
- 30:30Speaker 2: his car on Facebook marketplace, police said. When he arrived,
- 30:34Speaker 2: six brutes, brutes really, that's how we're writing this allegedly
- 30:37Speaker 2: pushed him into a vehicle.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Tina's got them flare for the dramatics.
- 30:42Speaker 2: You brute. They pushed him into the vehicle as one
- 30:47Speaker 2: of them flashed a fake gun. According to cops, They
- 30:49Speaker 2: then blindfolded him and demanded ten thousand from his cousin
- 30:53Speaker 2: over the phone for his safe return, but the quick
- 30:57Speaker 2: thinking cousin traced the victim's phone to the area as
- 30:59Speaker 2: the kidnappers moved east, pinging it at Floyd Bennett Field,
- 31:04Speaker 2: an NYPD training facility that's often crawling with cops.
- 31:08Speaker 1: So they used the So they used the guy's phone,
- 31:11Speaker 1: and I guess he had his shared location with his cousin.
- 31:14Speaker 2: That's what it sounds like.
- 31:15Speaker 1: And then he was able to pin it down. Yes, officers,
- 31:19Speaker 1: weird to share your location with your cousin.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I feel well, I mean, if you're tight with your cousin,
- 31:23Speaker 2: I know, I feel.
- 31:24Speaker 1: It's weird to shared location with anybody.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I know you won't even share it with me because
- 31:29Speaker 2: you're up to no good. Officers, I need you know
- 31:32Speaker 2: when I'm at Target X, Starby's Starbucks. Officers from the
- 31:38Speaker 2: sixty second and sixty third precincts along with Parks they
- 31:43Speaker 2: got a park department police.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I'm sure that in Central Park's pretty big.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I guess they got their own police department. They rushed
- 31:50Speaker 2: to the area and the alleged kidnappers were arrested at
- 31:53Speaker 2: eleven to fifty pm. According to police, I would not
- 31:57Speaker 2: be out trying to sell my car at night. The
- 32:00Speaker 2: six men were in custody.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Maybe that's why he shared his location, because he was
- 32:05Speaker 1: going to sell the car and he's like, I need
- 32:07Speaker 1: you to just keep an eye on me in case
- 32:08Speaker 1: someone tries to murder me, rob me.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Like you sent him out with a five hol of
- 32:14Speaker 2: blunder on Facebook marketplace to meet somebody risking my life.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I would never do that.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I just have him come to the house, no.
- 32:22Speaker 2: The six men, and have Honka bring it to the door.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah. I do that with the neighborhood people though, But
- 32:29Speaker 1: they live in the neighborhood So what have they come
- 32:32Speaker 1: to the house to buy stuff or like today someone
- 32:35Speaker 1: came to borrow a pancake batter dispenser?
- 32:39Speaker 2: No, yeah, yeah, anyway, the six men were in custody
- 32:43Speaker 2: Thursday afternoon, with charge has been according to the NYPD.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Victim reported a minor stomach injury. I would too, probably
- 32:50Speaker 2: because my stomach hurt because I shipped my pants after
- 32:53Speaker 2: six people kidnapped me.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Oh lovely, lovely image. Okay, all right, so that's our
- 33:00Speaker 1: y'all need Jesus way to go, stew.
- 33:02Speaker 2: You're welcome, All of you are welcome.
- 33:07Speaker 1: All right, So again, rate review, subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify,
- 33:12Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcast. And then we have Instagram Facebook.
