- 1:01Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have one of
- 1:03Speaker 2: our return favorites. He is a knowledgeable pop culture king.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Zach Peter, welcome back to Juicy Scoop. How are you doing?
- 1:14Speaker 2: I like this little distinguished gray salt and pepper.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Okay, I don't know why.
- 1:19Speaker 5: I've been getting so many comments about that. I've had
- 1:22Speaker 5: this for like four years.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Well, not four. When did I stop being blonde?
- 1:25Speaker 1: 2024.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Maybe that's why. It's been two years. But, like, lately,
- 1:29Speaker 5: I'm like, am I graying more? Because I feel like
- 1:31Speaker 5: I've gotten so many compliments. It looks good. Good.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I like it. I'm gray everywhere.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Well, you're a young guy.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I know. I'm only 33. But, yeah, I'm gray head
- 1:41Speaker 4: to toe.
- 1:42Speaker 2: That's an Irish thing. Is it? Premature gray is more
- 1:44Speaker 2: of an Irish trait.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Well, I am a good drinker.
- 1:48Speaker 2: I like it. This just came out.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I saw that.
- 1:53Speaker 2: This was this couple. a man and a woman climbed
- 1:58Speaker 2: up to the top, top, top, top of the Empire
- 2:02Speaker 2: State Building. And then he had this sign, when the
- 2:06Speaker 2: power of love heats the love of power, the world knows.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I don't know, it's waving. And then he asked his
- 2:13Speaker 2: girlfriend to marry him. They both have been arrested because
- 2:17Speaker 2: you're not allowed to do this. And all I thought
- 2:21Speaker 2: about was, sometimes I think, Girls in romantic relationships with
- 2:28Speaker 2: men oftentimes pretend they're into something more sporty than they are. Yeah. Camping, boating, fishing,
- 2:38Speaker 2: when they'd really just rather go to a Four Seasons
- 2:41Speaker 2: and have a lovely dinner. Yeah. And... I hope this
- 2:46Speaker 2: is the case. I hope this girl loves to climb
- 2:49Speaker 2: and is not scared at all.
- 2:50Speaker 4: This is what they do. They're professional climbers. Oh, thank goodness.
- 2:54Speaker 4: I was actually researching.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I didn't even know we were talking about this, but
- 2:57Speaker 5: I was researching on the way over here because I
- 2:58Speaker 5: was like, who are these couple?
- 2:59Speaker 4: How did they make it up? I don't think they
- 3:01Speaker 4: climbed from the bottom.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I think they like took an elevator to a high
- 3:04Speaker 5: floor and then somehow passed security to get up there.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 3:07Speaker 4: But this is what they do.
- 3:08Speaker 5: And there was a Netflix documentary that they had taped
- 3:11Speaker 5: themselves with like, I want to say like drones.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 5: So what they do is they climb to the tops
- 3:16Speaker 5: of these buildings and like film themselves doing this. I mean,
- 3:19Speaker 5: I guess this is the tallest one they've ever climbed to.
- 3:22Speaker 5: But they, you know, wanted to say that love beats power.
- 3:26Speaker 5: And that's how the world knows peace.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Oh, peace. That's the word.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Well, you know, they look like they have good triceps.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 2: On both of them.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Like, how do you.
- 3:38Speaker 2: And their faces are covered. I guess so they would
- 3:41Speaker 2: hope not to get caught or something.
- 3:43Speaker 4: But how are they not going to get where are
- 3:44Speaker 4: they going to run?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Like you're at the top of the building.
- 3:47Speaker 4: They found you.
- 3:48Speaker 2: And my suggestion would have been to wait until July
- 3:55Speaker 2: 3rd and steal the thunder or some of the thunder.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And also there'd be less cops to catch you because
- 4:02Speaker 2: they're all at Madison Square Garden, allegedly on July 3rd.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I said on my last show. I think the whole
- 4:10Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden thing is a ruse to distract us.
- 4:13Speaker 2: But it appears Heather was wrong.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah, same.
- 4:16Speaker 5: I was like, this has to be like a fake
- 4:18Speaker 5: story that they leaked. But no, it seems like this,
- 4:21Speaker 5: like there are city permits. They got rid of all
- 4:23Speaker 5: the homeless people. They like, you know, they're doing all
- 4:26Speaker 5: of it.
- 4:27Speaker 2: They, you know, they, I guess they did a similar
- 4:30Speaker 2: way of protective police bubble for the Knicks games and things.
- 4:34Speaker 2: So they certainly know how to do it as far
- 4:36Speaker 2: as safety goes. We know having it at the fanciest hotel,
- 4:40Speaker 2: there isn't the right amount of safety.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Of course, when you're out, you know, in a beautiful
- 4:45Speaker 2: setting outside with the water crashing, there's too much elements
- 4:48Speaker 2: of people being able to get in, fly over.
- 4:50Speaker 4: And helicopters, yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 2: And she, they wanted a thousand person wedding. So they're.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 4:55Speaker 2: You know, and we knew that it wasn't going to
- 4:57Speaker 2: look like.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Madison Square.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Madison Square. Like you could, it's just a huge space
- 5:01Speaker 2: you could do anything with, with all the money in
- 5:02Speaker 2: the world. And apparently they believe they're building a castle. Mm-hmm.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And which sounds weirdly tacky Disney, but maybe it'll be super.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I'm sure whatever it is will be all real flowers,
- 5:15Speaker 2: beautiful furniture, polished silverware. Like I'm sure it will be stunning.
- 5:21Speaker 5: I hope so because everything about it just sounds so
- 5:23Speaker 5: tacky and terrible.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Like a thousand people at a wedding.
- 5:27Speaker 5: They have a castle that they're building inside of Madison
- 5:30Speaker 5: Square Garden.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Like everything about it just sounds.
- 5:33Speaker 5: so unnecessarily over the top, but also so cheesy at
- 5:37Speaker 5: the same time.
- 5:38Speaker 2: You know, the thousand person thing, if you've got all
- 5:41Speaker 2: the money in the world, okay, let's think about the
- 5:43Speaker 2: smart side of it. They're at a level that they
- 5:49Speaker 2: have such a large staff, each of them, and worked
- 5:52Speaker 2: with so many people and have so many celebrity friends
- 5:55Speaker 2: that help their staying at a certain level. And So
- 6:00Speaker 2: you sit down and you start to, you know, edit
- 6:03Speaker 2: some people. And by going, let's just have a thousand.
- 6:08Speaker 2: We invite all the people that work for us, like
- 6:11Speaker 2: on a daily basis, from the house manager to the
- 6:13Speaker 2: tour manager to all those people. We know she's really
- 6:16Speaker 2: generous with her touring staff, like gave them bonuses. So
- 6:21Speaker 2: this way, nobody is going to be mad that they
- 6:23Speaker 2: weren't invited. No one's going to resentful. The stars that
- 6:26Speaker 2: are their friends will be invited. So they get to go. And,
- 6:30Speaker 2: you know, and of course, no one, we're not screwing
- 6:34Speaker 2: over a second cousin or whatever. And so I think
- 6:38Speaker 2: that's it. They're just like, we could have done this
- 6:41Speaker 2: and made it 300 people and pissed off 700 people
- 6:45Speaker 2: that could affect our livelihoods, our reputation. Those 700 people
- 6:49Speaker 2: are doing TikToks about what a fucking bitch they both are.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And so I now think totally brilliant to do it there.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I don't think they're both gay.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Oh, the gay lore?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think that's the case. I do think
- 7:05Speaker 2: they love each other. I do think they're excited to
- 7:07Speaker 2: get married. I think there's probably a private, smaller thing
- 7:11Speaker 2: happening the day before.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Yeah, they have the reception the night before. That's 100 people.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Which is essentially a rehearsal dinner, which you normally have.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And 100 is still big, but not for them. And
- 7:21Speaker 2: so then those people feel really special. But nobody that's
- 7:25Speaker 2: not part of the 100 is going to feel jinxed.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Or not jinxed, but, you know... blown off. And then
- 7:32Speaker 2: apparently their NDA doesn't really have penalties. Now they'll be
- 7:36Speaker 2: collecting phones for sure. And I assume it's something where,
- 7:43Speaker 2: you know, if you really want to go check on
- 7:44Speaker 2: your sitter, you just go up, you ask for your phone,
- 7:47Speaker 2: you go outside and you make a call, but which
- 7:50Speaker 2: also makes an event so freeing.
- 7:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Because there's that panic in our world when you are,
- 7:56Speaker 2: have a phone and you see celebrities, you see people,
- 7:59Speaker 2: you know, and you're like, this would be a waste
- 8:02Speaker 2: of a night if I don't get a photo with them,
- 8:04Speaker 2: you know? And then, so it's like, it kind of
- 8:06Speaker 2: ruins your good time. So the times I've gone to weddings,
- 8:09Speaker 2: Lance Bass's wedding, which was like the first televised gay wedding.
- 8:13Speaker 2: And it was so fun. That one was put your
- 8:16Speaker 2: phone away and it really made it like you're in
- 8:19Speaker 2: the moment, you know? And you're not thinking about, and
- 8:22Speaker 2: there's photographers, you'll get the photos, you know?
- 8:24Speaker 5: Yeah. I predict there's going to be like a Vogue
- 8:27Speaker 5: or a Vanity Fair exclusive that'll have the exclusive photos. Um,
- 8:32Speaker 5: I think to your point about not having phones, like
- 8:34Speaker 5: I'm sure there will be activities and things going on.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I mean, who Tim McGraw is supposed to be performing?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Stevie Nicks. Of course, she loves both those artists. And
- 8:43Speaker 2: I love both those artists. I mean, that'll be great.
- 8:46Speaker 2: They won't be doing 25 songs each. They're probably each
- 8:49Speaker 2: going to like do two or three.
- 8:50Speaker 5: Well, it is a 10 hour wedding. So that's a
- 8:52Speaker 5: long time to not be with your phone, though.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But the way it works, like the original comedy club
- 8:58Speaker 2: that started this, where they take your phone, is at
- 9:04Speaker 2: the Comedy Works in Denver, is there they put it
- 9:09Speaker 2: in a thing that's sealed.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And you keep it. So if it's buzzing and it's
- 9:14Speaker 2: your sitter, you go outside of the standup venue and
- 9:18Speaker 2: you go to the person outside and they'll open it
- 9:20Speaker 2: for you. And then outside of the comedy venue, you
- 9:22Speaker 2: can make a call. I don't know if they're doing
- 9:25Speaker 2: it that way or if they're doing it that you just,
- 9:27Speaker 2: you can go and check it anytime you want, but
- 9:29Speaker 2: you're going to have to make your call in this
- 9:31Speaker 2: boring place where there's no place to take a photo.
- 9:34Speaker 2: At the masters, the golf masters, they will not let
- 9:37Speaker 2: you have a phone at all, which is a long
- 9:39Speaker 2: day and you're out and, you know, and, It's also
- 9:43Speaker 2: very freeing, but it's like old school. We'd be like, okay,
- 9:45Speaker 2: we'll meet you at three o'clock at this spot. And
- 9:48Speaker 2: it's a wedding. It's you'll, you'll be okay. And there'll
- 9:51Speaker 2: be a way to check it. I'm sure. Um, but yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 2: it is. it comes at 3 30 is cocktail yeah
- 9:58Speaker 2: wedding is starting at like 5 30 yeah and then
- 10:01Speaker 2: dinner partying all.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Night it's gonna be amazing i'm sure it'll be lovely
- 10:06Speaker 5: and i mean it sounds tacky that she's building you
- 10:08Speaker 5: know a disney castle inside of madison square garden but
- 10:11Speaker 5: i think it's gonna be fine i just love that
- 10:13Speaker 5: she's literally having a thousand guests and not one of
- 10:16Speaker 5: them is blake lively Could you imagine you're down the
- 10:20Speaker 5: street from the godmother of your children, your former best
- 10:25Speaker 5: friend of over a decade, and she's getting married down
- 10:29Speaker 5: the street and a thousand people are at this wedding
- 10:32Speaker 5: and you're not.
- 10:33Speaker 4: That is just gold.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Well, let's just move this up right here. Speaking of
- 10:39Speaker 2: breaking news, you do have a doctorate in Baldoni versus Blake.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Or Blake versus Baldoni. Blake Lively asked for nearly $ 8
- 10:49Speaker 2: million in attorney's fees, court costs from the Baldoni and Wayfarer.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Can you explain this?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, so the case for the most part is done.
- 10:57Speaker 5: They've settled. None of them got any money out of it.
- 11:00Speaker 5: But there was a small pending order that she had
- 11:03Speaker 5: filed last summer where she wanted him to pay for
- 11:07Speaker 5: her attorney's fees because, remember, he sued over defamation and
- 11:10Speaker 5: that defamation claim didn't move forward. So the judge said, okay,
- 11:15Speaker 5: I will grant a small, there's a me too law
- 11:17Speaker 5: that's very new here in California that allowed for her
- 11:21Speaker 5: attorney's fees to be recovered because he did not prevail
- 11:24Speaker 5: with his defamation case. So with that, and it's a
- 11:29Speaker 5: very limited and sliver of a portion, it's one claim
- 11:32Speaker 5: and it's very limited in terms of the amount of
- 11:34Speaker 5: hours or the time, the scope of time that she's
- 11:37Speaker 5: able to clock in for. But so she had to
- 11:40Speaker 5: turn in what her attorneys charged her for that time period.
- 11:43Speaker 5: And she's claiming that it was $ 8 million. $ 7. 5 million
- 11:46Speaker 5: were for attorney's fees, and then $ 500, 000 are for costs.
- 11:51Speaker 5: And she put everything from the $ 6 binder to her
- 11:55Speaker 5: attorney's $ 1, 400 hotel stay. We learned that her lead attorney, Gottlieb,
- 12:00Speaker 5: charges $ 2, 100 per hour. Woo!
- 12:04Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 12:05Speaker 5: And so she didn't submit any actual invoices, but she
- 12:08Speaker 5: submitted a long list of expenses that she would like recovered.
- 12:13Speaker 5: it's highly unlikely she'll get anything close to that. But
- 12:16Speaker 5: the judge has to make a decision and we'll see.
- 12:18Speaker 2: What's your prediction? Will she get some, like two million?
- 12:22Speaker 5: I would say maybe one to 200,000. I don't think
- 12:26Speaker 5: she'll get a million out of this. Because again, you
- 12:29Speaker 5: have to, and she even tried to make this argument.
- 12:31Speaker 5: So you don't get exact, when you get your attorney's
- 12:34Speaker 5: fees recovered, you don't get the exact amount that you paid.
- 12:36Speaker 5: You get what the judge determines is reasonable. And I
- 12:39Speaker 5: think to the average person, you know, A defamation motion
- 12:42Speaker 5: to dismiss $ 8 million is not a reasonable amount of
- 12:45Speaker 5: money to spend on something as, you know, small as that.
- 12:49Speaker 5: So I think she'll get a good little chunk of change.
- 12:52Speaker 5: But also her and Ryan Reynolds have so much money
- 12:54Speaker 5: that like doesn't really do anything. But if it took
- 12:57Speaker 5: her $ 8 million to fight this one charge against Justin,
- 12:59Speaker 5: you can imagine how much they spent in the entirety
- 13:02Speaker 5: of almost two years.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Now, I predict that she and her husband, Ryan, and
- 13:10Speaker 2: their four kids. will be on a very fun, far
- 13:15Speaker 2: away vacation this weekend, celebrating the 4th of July. Piggyback rides.
- 13:22Speaker 2: She'll do a piggyback ride on Ryan's back just to
- 13:25Speaker 2: show that he can lift her. And they'll be rolling around.
- 13:30Speaker 2: They'll be doing kids. They'll be doing something funny about fireworks.
- 13:34Speaker 2: And it'll be that to distract that even if we
- 13:37Speaker 2: were invited, we would much rather be In this beautiful
- 13:41Speaker 2: location with our four kids having family time.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Well, that was the story.
- 13:45Speaker 5: There was a story that came, I think, last week
- 13:47Speaker 5: that said that Taylor had offered an olive branch and
- 13:51Speaker 5: that Blake was invited to the wedding. But if you
- 13:53Speaker 5: don't see her there, then just know it was her
- 13:55Speaker 5: decision to not attend the wedding.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Well, how did that story get out?
- 13:59Speaker 4: I wonder.
- 14:00Speaker 5: And then six hours later, like someone, presumably Taylor Swift's camp,
- 14:03Speaker 5: like immediately shut down that. And that was like a
- 14:05Speaker 5: whole new story saying that Blake was absolutely not invited
- 14:07Speaker 5: to the wedding.
- 14:09Speaker 4: It was funny.
- 14:10Speaker 2: No, she, you know, I am not a super duper
- 14:13Speaker 2: Swifty Swifty, but I know obviously she's had many famous
- 14:17Speaker 2: ex-boyfriends who then have gone on to date other girls,
- 14:21Speaker 2: some of whom she's friends with, some of whom she's not.
- 14:25Speaker 2: So I don't really know the whole guest list. But
- 14:28Speaker 2: who is Harry Styles engaged to right now?
- 14:31Speaker 4: I don't even know.
- 14:32Speaker 2: He's invited. And she had dated Harry Styles at one point.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Yeah, she indicted him at one point.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Well, whoever the girl that he's dating or engaged to.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I heard somewhere that girl's invited.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Carly Klaus, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters. There
- 14:49Speaker 5: are quite a few big names coming. I would love
- 14:52Speaker 5: for her to invite her exes.
- 14:54Speaker 2: What about all those girls that were in her squad?
- 14:57Speaker 2: Remember that?
- 14:57Speaker 5: Gigi Hadid. She's going to be there. Blake, who's not
- 15:01Speaker 5: going to be there. Who else was on the squad?
- 15:02Speaker 4: Carly.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Was that Carly's who she's rumored to be in a
- 15:05Speaker 5: lesbian relationship with?
- 15:07Speaker 2: Oh, that's fun. Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 5: So she has her lesbian girlfriend there. I don't think
- 15:11Speaker 5: she's gay. I don't think he's gay.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I mean, I don't know.
- 15:14Speaker 5: I think when I questioned the validity of their relationship
- 15:19Speaker 5: until I saw them on the podcast together. Remember when
- 15:22Speaker 5: she came on his podcast? And I was like, okay,
- 15:23Speaker 5: they're kind of like into each other.
- 15:25Speaker 4: And like, I don't know.
- 15:26Speaker 5: She's somebody that gives me the impression that she's like,
- 15:29Speaker 5: she loves love. And so she gets infatuated with these guys.
- 15:32Speaker 5: I think he likes her. And I think he loves
- 15:34Speaker 5: her fame. And I think he loves the... level of
- 15:37Speaker 5: celebrity she's elevated him to. And I think that's motivation
- 15:41Speaker 5: enough for him to stick with it. But I think
- 15:43Speaker 5: she's into him.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I am going to go back to my original thoughts,
- 15:47Speaker 2: which is that, yes, they're a real couple. Yes, they
- 15:53Speaker 2: love each other, but they also love what you, what
- 15:56Speaker 2: each person brings to the table and what they stand for.
- 15:58Speaker 2: It's super cool that she's dating this very well liked, um,
- 16:03Speaker 2: guy who has a well liked brother who has a
- 16:05Speaker 2: pop top podcast is great football player who America likes.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And so that's cool. And that he's kind of masculine.
- 16:12Speaker 2: He's not a singer though. He wants to be, which
- 16:14Speaker 2: scares me. And then I also think that she, um,
- 16:19Speaker 2: you know, is a traditional gal and like wants and
- 16:22Speaker 2: definitely wants to, Get married before she's pregnant and have
- 16:25Speaker 2: a couple kids for sure.
- 16:26Speaker 5: It's going to be happening. I mean, and listen, she
- 16:28Speaker 5: was like a loser in high school. So she got
- 16:30Speaker 5: her fantasy of like winning the football.
- 16:32Speaker 4: What is he, a quarterback or whatever?
- 16:34Speaker 2: I'm in the bleachers.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Yeah, she got it.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 2: And she probably always had a fantasy about getting married
- 16:42Speaker 2: in a castle or with a castle. And you why
- 16:44Speaker 2: not have every single fantasy that you ever had. You've
- 16:47Speaker 2: worked your whole life. And you have so much money
- 16:50Speaker 2: and so much success. And the same thing. Let me
- 16:52Speaker 2: have everybody that I do truly love and care about.
- 16:57Speaker 2: I want there. I don't want to. I don't have
- 17:00Speaker 2: to cut people off because the hotel only will allow
- 17:04Speaker 2: a wedding of, you know, 350. So I think it's
- 17:06Speaker 2: all smart. I wonder whose idea it was. That's who
- 17:10Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 17:12Speaker 1: They think you're done for the day, but they don't
- 17:15Speaker 1: know about the drawer.
- 17:17Speaker 2: The drawer. Just the one square before bed. Or two,
- 17:24Speaker 2: you know. Nobody's watching.
- 17:27Speaker 1: You deserve a treat. With eight flavours to choose from,
- 17:33Speaker 1: you can choose the flavour you favour with Cadbury Dairy Milk.
- 17:42Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 17:45Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 17:48Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 17:53Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 17:59Speaker 2: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 18:02Speaker 4: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 18:04Speaker 4: what would you do if it was given back?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 18:10Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 18:12Speaker 4: He said, I have a work dad. I need a
- 18:13Speaker 4: home dad. What happens next? When I came in, he
- 18:16Speaker 4: started crying. Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 18:19Speaker 3: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 18:23Speaker 3: go through. It's about what happens next.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all.
- 18:26Speaker 4: I realized how valuable every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara,
- 18:30Speaker 4: I'm not going to pull punches. You can use your
- 18:32Speaker 4: voice even if it's shaped.
- 18:34Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 18:49Speaker 2: Dave Portnoy, he is the owner of Barstool Sports, extremely successful.
- 18:56Speaker 2: He claims that Alex Cooper of Call Her Daddy and
- 18:58Speaker 2: Sophia Franklin, the original co-host of Call Her Daddy, now
- 19:02Speaker 2: Sophia has her own show, planned to say they were
- 19:04Speaker 2: sexually harassed to get out of a Barstool contract. This
- 19:08Speaker 2: all comes from his book, which our reader here, who
- 19:13Speaker 2: likes to read books, knows how to read books, whether
- 19:15Speaker 2: they're court docs or actual... books written by dave i
- 19:20Speaker 2: saw something else that someone from his team and i
- 19:22Speaker 2: think this is all part of a pr thing was
- 19:24Speaker 2: saying that he's actually illiterate and can't read or write
- 19:27Speaker 2: that's just a funny joke to get people to read
- 19:29Speaker 2: the book.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Right maybe i mean he does open the book by
- 19:32Speaker 5: saying like he committed to writing this book and then
- 19:35Speaker 5: he regretted it because he doesn't like doing stuff like
- 19:37Speaker 5: he doesn't like writing so i don't know but he
- 19:39Speaker 5: gave the impression that he wrote it himself but i
- 19:41Speaker 5: mean he could have totally gone with the ghost writer
- 19:44Speaker 5: but the book is actually good it's actually i was
- 19:46Speaker 5: surprised how much i like him as a result of
- 19:49Speaker 5: it i didn't know much about him obviously i knew
- 19:51Speaker 5: him as like the founder of barstool barstool sports and
- 19:54Speaker 5: i kind of thought he was douche um but you
- 19:56Speaker 5: know and occasionally i would catch one of his rants
- 19:58Speaker 5: on instagram but i actually like really appreciated him throughout
- 20:01Speaker 5: the book and just like what he built barstool from
- 20:04Speaker 5: and i didn't know it started in like 2003 as
- 20:06Speaker 5: like a newspaper that he would print himself um But yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 5: the Alex Cooper and Sophia story is crazy because they
- 20:16Speaker 5: really hated each other behind the scenes.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Like they didn't see Sophia and Alex. OK, I think so.
- 20:22Speaker 5: According to Dave, he came across, I think, Alex's teaser
- 20:26Speaker 5: for Call Her Daddy. And he saw like a clip
- 20:29Speaker 5: or something that she was doing to promote it. And
- 20:31Speaker 5: he reached out to her because his thing is like,
- 20:33Speaker 5: I'm I find talent. He's like, I don't care if
- 20:35Speaker 5: the talent. you know, uses Barstool as a launching pad
- 20:38Speaker 5: and goes and becomes uber successful after us. I just
- 20:40Speaker 5: like to find and foster talent. And he's like, when
- 20:42Speaker 5: I saw Alex Cooper, he's like, I knew she was
- 20:45Speaker 5: going to be a star. And so I wanted to
- 20:46Speaker 5: bring her into Barstool. I told her we had all
- 20:48Speaker 5: these resources. We had this built-in audience. And I just,
- 20:51Speaker 5: he said he had a gut feeling about her. So
- 20:53Speaker 5: he offered her a deal to come in for $ 75, 000
- 20:55Speaker 5: for a year to sign Call Her Daddy to Barstool.
- 20:59Speaker 5: And she said, okay, but I have to bring my co-host.
- 21:02Speaker 5: She's my friend, Sophia. She's like integral to the show.
- 21:05Speaker 5: I have to bring her in. And so he offered
- 21:07Speaker 5: Sophia the same deal. And then eventually they launch the
- 21:12Speaker 5: podcast with Barstool and it blows up.
- 21:14Speaker 4: It's super successful.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Then they start to see that it's just bringing in
- 21:17Speaker 5: all sorts of money. And he's even saying like, it's
- 21:19Speaker 5: keeping the staff paid. It's keeping the lights on. Like
- 21:22Speaker 5: Call Her Daddy was a massive success when they launched
- 21:25Speaker 5: it with Barstool. And so then they start to ask
- 21:27Speaker 5: for more money. He gives them a bump. He bumps
- 21:30Speaker 5: Alex up to, I think, 150. He bumps Sophia up
- 21:32Speaker 5: to 90. And he's like, it's because to me, the
- 21:35Speaker 5: idea was always Alex's idea. She was the real star.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Sophia was the co-host that came with her that Alex,
- 21:41Speaker 5: you know, fought for to be at the, you know,
- 21:43Speaker 5: at the table with her. But he's like, I paid
- 21:46Speaker 5: Alex more. And he's like, that's where the first real
- 21:47Speaker 5: issue came in was that Alex was making $ 60, 000.
- 21:50Speaker 4: More than what Sophia was making.
- 21:52Speaker 5: And so I guess there was Sophia's boyfriend who he
- 21:55Speaker 5: claims was like the real architect between the greed that
- 22:00Speaker 5: seemed to be coming from the girls and Um, eventually
- 22:03Speaker 5: they started asking for even more money. They were asking
- 22:06Speaker 5: for like a million dollars each for their first year.
- 22:08Speaker 5: And he's just like, you guys haven't even finished the
- 22:10Speaker 5: terms of your last contract. Like if you want to renegotiate,
- 22:12Speaker 5: renegotiate at the end of your contract, but you guys
- 22:14Speaker 5: haven't even fulfilled what you originally signed for. And you're
- 22:17Speaker 5: asking for this astronomical amount of money. So then he
- 22:19Speaker 5: started to play them against each other because he found
- 22:22Speaker 5: out that they didn't really like each other. Like he
- 22:25Speaker 5: started to hear rumblings and they would kind of, I guess,
- 22:27Speaker 5: shit talk each other. And So then he offered to
- 22:30Speaker 5: pay them each $ 500, 000. And then after the, fulfill your contract,
- 22:35Speaker 5: I'll pay you $ 500, 000 per year. And once your contract
- 22:38Speaker 5: is done, you're free to leave. And so made them
- 22:41Speaker 5: the offer. And I guess they, Sophia wanted to hold
- 22:45Speaker 5: out for more money because at that point, her boyfriend
- 22:47Speaker 5: was shopping the show around to other networks. And that's
- 22:50Speaker 5: when Alex called him and she's like, I'll take the deal,
- 22:53Speaker 5: but I don't want to do it with Sophia.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 22:55Speaker 5: And so I guess he actually admits that he leaked
- 22:58Speaker 5: the story. I forgot which outlet he leaked it to,
- 23:01Speaker 5: but he says that he leaked the story that the
- 23:02Speaker 5: two of them weren't getting along behind the scenes. And
- 23:04Speaker 5: it wasn't Alex and Sophia versus Barstool. It was Alex
- 23:08Speaker 5: versus Sophia. And then I think that's what got them
- 23:11Speaker 5: to really turn on each other because I think they
- 23:12Speaker 5: thought the other party leaked it. And he was the
- 23:15Speaker 5: one that actually leaked it. And he reveals that on
- 23:17Speaker 5: the blog.
- 23:17Speaker 2: As someone who didn't really know what was going on,
- 23:19Speaker 2: but knew of them, I... felt for Sophia because then
- 23:23Speaker 2: they like took this couple weeks off.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 2: And the fans who were so addicted to the show, um,
- 23:30Speaker 2: then when it came out, like it was Sophia that
- 23:32Speaker 2: was holding out. Yeah. And it was because of this
- 23:36Speaker 2: greedy boyfriend that me, it was like, I felt that
- 23:41Speaker 2: the narrative out there was very anti Sophia.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 2: And I reached out to her after it was done
- 23:49Speaker 2: and she came on my show and I was like,
- 23:52Speaker 2: you know, this is so weird because they made it
- 23:56Speaker 2: like you're just doing this for a guy. Yeah. I'm like,
- 23:58Speaker 2: but actually the guy was right. Like you guys did
- 24:02Speaker 2: deserve more money and you should have more money. And,
- 24:06Speaker 2: you know, when I first started my podcast, I had
- 24:09Speaker 2: to have an insider man tell me you are not
- 24:13Speaker 2: making enough. Like, do you have any idea how many
- 24:16Speaker 2: people are? And I'm like, no, I really don't. Like
- 24:19Speaker 2: I started making no money and I just am happy
- 24:21Speaker 2: to like make no money and like whatever. And I
- 24:25Speaker 2: didn't know. And so it's so, you know, but I
- 24:29Speaker 2: understood how it happened with a dynamics of of them
- 24:32Speaker 2: being young girls and then getting, so then it's almost
- 24:35Speaker 2: like Alex had Dave in her ear and Sophia had
- 24:38Speaker 2: the boyfriend in the ear. And that's kind of a
- 24:42Speaker 2: bummer with women in business. Like that sometimes it's, sometimes
- 24:47Speaker 2: it is harder for two women to be in a
- 24:49Speaker 2: successful business forever where jealousy doesn't come into play. I
- 24:52Speaker 2: feel like men can do it better sometimes in general speaking. And,
- 24:58Speaker 2: You know, this was one of those cases.
- 25:00Speaker 5: I think had Alex not cut Sophia out, I think
- 25:03Speaker 5: they could have both fought for more and probably could
- 25:07Speaker 5: have prevailed because he even admits that when Alex called
- 25:11Speaker 5: him and was saying, I want to move forward, but
- 25:13Speaker 5: I want to cut Sophia out of the deal.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Give me the IP.
- 25:16Speaker 5: I'll take the 500 that you're offering me right now.
- 25:18Speaker 5: I'm not going to ask for anything more, but just
- 25:20Speaker 5: cut Sophia out. And, um, and Dave was like, okay, yeah,
- 25:24Speaker 5: like I'll give you the deal.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Um, we're all in agreement.
- 25:28Speaker 5: He made, so he says he made Sophia the same offer,
- 25:30Speaker 5: but she wasn't responding. And then he gave the deal
- 25:33Speaker 5: to Alex and he's like, well, how would you even,
- 25:35Speaker 5: he's like, I could sue you guys for breach of contract.
- 25:37Speaker 5: If you even try to walk away from Barstool sports.
- 25:39Speaker 5: And she said, well, no. And she claims that Sophia Alex.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Alex claims that Sophia and her boyfriend were the ones
- 25:46Speaker 5: that we're planning on lodging the sexual harassment allegations against Barstool.
- 25:52Speaker 5: And so she's like, I don't like that that's the
- 25:55Speaker 5: route that they want to take.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 5: So she's like, I'm just going to jump in. But
- 25:58Speaker 5: if I jump in, Sophia's out. And so he cut
- 26:01Speaker 5: Sophia out. And then eventually he said he did hear
- 26:03Speaker 5: from Sophia and she said, OK, I'm in. And he said, well,
- 26:06Speaker 5: call her daddy's given to Alex. But if you want
- 26:09Speaker 5: to stay here, you can keep the 500 and you
- 26:12Speaker 5: can have your own show. And he talks about how,
- 26:14Speaker 5: you know, in his mind, he wanted the two of
- 26:16Speaker 5: them at the same network because then they would basically
- 26:19Speaker 5: be fighting with each other and he could capitalize off
- 26:21Speaker 5: of their feud back and forth. And he's like, from
- 26:23Speaker 5: a business perspective, I was willing to do that because
- 26:25Speaker 5: I wasn't burning Alex because I technically cut Sophia out
- 26:28Speaker 5: of Call Her Daddy. But then I was still giving
- 26:29Speaker 5: Sophia the opportunity to have her show and her side
- 26:32Speaker 5: of the story.
- 26:33Speaker 2: And, you know, that's juicy.
- 26:35Speaker 4: And that would have been a perfect.
- 26:37Speaker 5: But I think Sophia ended up going to another network
- 26:39Speaker 5: and getting her Sophia with an F podcast. And they
- 26:43Speaker 5: probably paid her more than the $ 500, 000. But he's like,
- 26:45Speaker 5: I did still honor the offer of $ 500, 000, but it
- 26:49Speaker 5: just wasn't going to be on Call Her Daddy. And
- 26:52Speaker 5: he's like, and I knew after they signed, if both
- 26:54Speaker 5: of them or one of them signed for the $ 500, 000,
- 26:56Speaker 5: he's like, I knew once the contract was up, they
- 26:58Speaker 5: were going to leave. But he's like, I just wanted
- 27:01Speaker 5: them to fulfill what they had promised with the time
- 27:03Speaker 5: frame that they had committed to Barstool. And then he's like,
- 27:06Speaker 5: that's when Alex Cooper left and sold to Spotify for
- 27:08Speaker 5: $ 60 million. And then now I think she's at Serious
- 27:12Speaker 5: for like 250 million.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Okay. What I think is interesting about this people title article,
- 27:19Speaker 2: which is in the book, I think it's very dangerous
- 27:25Speaker 2: because I do feel partly Blake Lively, things like this.
- 27:30Speaker 2: There is something that is kind of happening, which is like,
- 27:34Speaker 2: it's like a reverse me tooing of a woman.
- 27:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:36Speaker 2: It's like someone saying, She said she was going to
- 27:42Speaker 2: sue you for sexual harassment. She said that you tried
- 27:44Speaker 2: to rape her. And there is no lawsuit filed. There
- 27:49Speaker 2: is no went to the police department. But the rumor
- 27:52Speaker 2: starts and it's such a horrible accusation that then this
- 27:57Speaker 2: thing now is really like reflecting poorly on Sophia where
- 28:02Speaker 2: there's no proof of it.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 2: So I just want to say there's no proof of it.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Doesn't mean that it wasn't told to Dave. Doesn't mean
- 28:10Speaker 2: that it wasn't told to.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Alex.
- 28:12Speaker 2: And then she said, it doesn't mean that anybody necessarily
- 28:15Speaker 2: is lying, but it may have never been something that
- 28:18Speaker 2: Sophia was really going to do. It could have been
- 28:22Speaker 2: in passing. It could have been like, it could have
- 28:24Speaker 2: been the boyfriend saying, you're telling me that this guy
- 28:28Speaker 2: that's all his whole show is about. how to get
- 28:31Speaker 2: laid and sex and everything. Like, come on, it won't
- 28:34Speaker 2: look great if he screws you over. It could have
- 28:37Speaker 2: been that much, which then could have been, oh, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 2: we're going to pull sexual harassment claims because that really
- 28:43Speaker 2: infuriates everybody because it's like, if you're a woman, you
- 28:48Speaker 2: know a man that you would be very mad if
- 28:51Speaker 2: they were falsely accused or you have a son or whatever.
- 28:54Speaker 2: And I kind of feel like we're in this weird
- 28:56Speaker 2: era now where it's a little... You know, it's a
- 28:59Speaker 2: little risky to accuse someone of fixing to do that
- 29:03Speaker 2: if they really didn't do it.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Yeah. You know?
- 29:07Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean, and I'm curious to see what Sophia's
- 29:09Speaker 5: side of the story is. I know she has her
- 29:11Speaker 5: book that's coming out in a few months.
- 29:12Speaker 4: I'm going to read that.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Dave does reference that her book is coming out. He's like,
- 29:17Speaker 5: I don't know what she's going to reveal in the book.
- 29:19Speaker 5: I don't know if she for all I know, she
- 29:20Speaker 5: may tell exactly the truth, exactly how it went down
- 29:23Speaker 5: just from her perspective. He's like, but he thinks I
- 29:26Speaker 5: guess he believes that the that that was the original plan, which,
- 29:29Speaker 5: like you just said, I think it could have been
- 29:30Speaker 5: something like in passing or a very passive comment of like,
- 29:33Speaker 5: you know, or maybe you're in the you're in the
- 29:35Speaker 5: heat of the moment and you're pissed. You're just like, well,
- 29:37Speaker 5: if he tries to, we can always say that he
- 29:39Speaker 5: grabbed your butt. and like you don't mean it. But
- 29:41Speaker 5: it could just be something that you flippantly say in
- 29:44Speaker 5: the heat of the moment that Alex then took and
- 29:47Speaker 5: used to her advantage.
- 29:48Speaker 4: And she got what she wanted.
- 29:49Speaker 2: It could have been when Dave's trying to gain the
- 29:51Speaker 2: trust of Alex, like he said, to separate them, triangulate,
- 29:55Speaker 2: you know. He could have been like, I mean, let
- 29:58Speaker 2: me tell you, what is she going to say? She
- 29:59Speaker 2: going to say that I, you know, touched her or
- 30:02Speaker 2: like I wanted her. She's not even my type. He
- 30:04Speaker 2: could have brought it out. And then Alex would have
- 30:05Speaker 2: been like, I don't know. I just know I'm not
- 30:08Speaker 2: comfortable with this guy she's dating. And I, I just
- 30:11Speaker 2: want a break. I don't want to do this anymore.
- 30:14Speaker 2: And he could also have been him being like, look,
- 30:16Speaker 2: you know, we only needed Beyonce. We didn't need the
- 30:20Speaker 2: two other people. I mean, how many people have left
- 30:22Speaker 2: a band and done just fine?
- 30:24Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 30:25Speaker 2: We just talked about Harry Styles. Everybody usually started with
- 30:31Speaker 2: more than, not everybody, but I'm saying it happens. And
- 30:35Speaker 2: in podcasting, there's been a lot of podcast breakups and
- 30:40Speaker 2: they're not the first two best girlies that have broken up.
- 30:45Speaker 2: and decided like one person is doing more work than
- 30:48Speaker 2: the other and all that.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 2: So that's very interesting. And then what was the thing about,
- 30:56Speaker 2: he bought the company for a dollar and then he
- 30:59Speaker 2: sold it or he.
- 31:00Speaker 4: He sold the company.
- 31:02Speaker 5: And then he, I guess was unhappy because he was,
- 31:05Speaker 5: he sold the company, but he still worked at the company.
- 31:06Speaker 5: He was kind of the face of the company, but
- 31:08Speaker 5: he's like, but my salary had never changed. They'd never
- 31:11Speaker 5: offered me anything more. He's like, so I was basically
- 31:13Speaker 5: still working for what I was working for when I
- 31:15Speaker 5: sold it initially. And then I think he turned himself
- 31:19Speaker 5: into he, from, COVID and like all of the projects
- 31:22Speaker 5: that he invested in, he was able to then buy
- 31:25Speaker 5: the company back.
- 31:25Speaker 4: But I think he bought it back for a dollar
- 31:27Speaker 4: or something like that. I'm in the middle of that
- 31:29Speaker 4: chapter right now.
- 31:30Speaker 5: Oh, OK. But yeah, he talks he was talking about that.
- 31:33Speaker 5: There was something about like he sold it and then
- 31:35Speaker 5: he bought it back.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Does he talk about any regrets about not being a
- 31:40Speaker 2: fan of Sunscreen?
- 31:42Speaker 4: Not at all.
- 31:43Speaker 5: He does acknowledge that he's not the best looking guy,
- 31:45Speaker 5: but he said that the.
- 31:48Speaker 4: It's more.
- 31:48Speaker 2: About the fact that I don't think this guy wears sunscreen.
- 31:53Speaker 2: He's always doing tea by the sea. He needs to
- 31:56Speaker 2: wear a hat and he needs to maybe get a
- 31:59Speaker 2: laser treatment or two. That's all. I just worry about
- 32:01Speaker 2: skin care.
- 32:02Speaker 5: He says that the whole caller daddy drama... is what
- 32:06Speaker 5: made him more attractive because then suddenly girls were sliding
- 32:08Speaker 5: into his DMs. And I'm like, they looked at that
- 32:10Speaker 5: leather face and were like, that's what I want to
- 32:12Speaker 5: jump on.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Maybe they just saw the money. I don't know. But
- 32:15Speaker 4: they were.
- 32:15Speaker 5: Like, they liked my personality and they were sliding into
- 32:18Speaker 5: my DMs.
- 32:19Speaker 2: And I think that's why he likes to now do
- 32:20Speaker 2: like pop culture topics and stuff like that. Yeah, he's
- 32:23Speaker 2: doing just fine in life. Now, talk about love. Jussie
- 32:28Speaker 2: Smollett and... Karamo Brown are dating. Let me remind you
- 32:35Speaker 2: who these two guys are. Jussie Smollett was the actor
- 32:39Speaker 2: from Empire who faked his own racial attack by the
- 32:44Speaker 2: two guys he claimed were wearing masks and put a
- 32:49Speaker 2: noose around his neck when he went out to get
- 32:51Speaker 2: a Subway sandwich at two in the morning when it
- 32:53Speaker 2: was 40 below zero in Chicago. And then it turned
- 32:57Speaker 2: out that it was these two guys that he was
- 33:00Speaker 2: paying to do it. He still to this day claims
- 33:04Speaker 2: he's innocent. He doesn't know why those two personal trainers
- 33:08Speaker 2: that were extras on Empire that then became his personal
- 33:11Speaker 2: trainers that he paid money to are lying to say
- 33:17Speaker 2: that and that this really did happen to him. He
- 33:21Speaker 2: obviously isn't getting the acting work that he used to.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I did just see him perform at a pride situation.
- 33:27Speaker 4: In Harlem.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I don't think the singing is where it's at, my
- 33:31Speaker 2: personal opinion. And then Karamo is one of the second
- 33:37Speaker 2: generation of Queer Eye for the Straight guys. He was
- 33:41Speaker 2: in the news recently because he too claimed to be
- 33:45Speaker 2: a victim of everything. racism, mean gay guys. The other
- 33:53Speaker 2: gay guys on the show excluded him. They made fun
- 33:56Speaker 2: of him. And apparently they were talking about him behind
- 34:00Speaker 2: his back. And his mother was hearing it just like,
- 34:03Speaker 2: remember that movie with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant? You
- 34:08Speaker 2: might not remember. Donnie Hill. It's like he was dating her.
- 34:12Speaker 2: And then someone's like, here, you want to listen to
- 34:13Speaker 2: what they're saying? you know, while they're filming the movie.
- 34:17Speaker 2: So he puts on the headset and she's like, oh,
- 34:18Speaker 2: I'm so over this guy. Anyway, they ended up together.
- 34:21Speaker 2: But the point is his mother, I guess, heard them
- 34:24Speaker 2: kind of mock him and they were mean gays. And
- 34:29Speaker 2: he therefore didn't go on the tours, the press tour
- 34:34Speaker 2: where all four of them were holding hands and They
- 34:38Speaker 2: were united front. They felt they were being bullied. He
- 34:41Speaker 2: felt he was being bullied. I think this is a
- 34:45Speaker 2: perfect pairing. I think they are two victims made in
- 34:49Speaker 2: heaven that found each other, two thirst buckets.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Yep. The world can marginalize them together.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Cause like, I just, I can't, I don't, I tried
- 35:01Speaker 5: to like, I was trying to buy into the Karamo
- 35:04Speaker 5: story and I was like, I'm sure the other gays
- 35:06Speaker 5: on Queer Eye were mean. Like they can be clicky
- 35:08Speaker 5: and I'm sure they were kind of mean to him,
- 35:10Speaker 5: but he also kind of sounds like he was annoying
- 35:12Speaker 5: and like a perpetual victim and everything as well.
- 35:15Speaker 4: And so I just, I don't know. They are quite
- 35:18Speaker 4: the pairing, the two of them.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And he, I think it was Karamo.
- 35:23Speaker 5: Imagine the breakup though. Because gays are dramatic and these
- 35:26Speaker 5: two are perpetual victims. When that breakup goes down, because this.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Is not going to last.
- 35:31Speaker 2: They will both be going on a podcast tour.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Oh, I can't wait for that.
- 35:35Speaker 2: First, they'll start to say, I'm not going to tell
- 35:37Speaker 2: the story. I'm not going to tell the story. And then, well,
- 35:41Speaker 2: since he told the story now, I'm going to tell
- 35:43Speaker 2: the story. And yeah, I, you know, but there you go. Love, love. Also,
- 35:52Speaker 2: you know, Portia and her girlfriend named Sway are just
- 35:58Speaker 2: having the time of their lives. I was watching Portia's Instagram.
- 36:01Speaker 2: They went to Bali and she is just, they have
- 36:07Speaker 2: their fruit on the floating thing in the pools and
- 36:10Speaker 2: they're just having the best time ever. And it's, I
- 36:12Speaker 2: think it's, it's kind of great. But like, remember like
- 36:16Speaker 2: in Atlanta, like You know, she had the husband that people,
- 36:19Speaker 2: they thought the husband was gay, the first husband. Then
- 36:23Speaker 2: she had the hot dog guy that she got the
- 36:27Speaker 2: baby from. And he sort of seemed like a whatever,
- 36:30Speaker 2: average or whatever cheater. Then she got the husband that
- 36:34Speaker 2: was dating the friend who was some Nigerian whatever shady
- 36:40Speaker 2: person because then she realized he didn't really have that
- 36:42Speaker 2: much money. So then she got divorced from him. And
- 36:45Speaker 2: then she was dating a guy, another guy, and then
- 36:48Speaker 2: met Sway and was like, well, I'm bi. And now
- 36:51Speaker 2: she's with Sway. And so now she's like, I'm a
- 36:52Speaker 2: full-blown lesbian.
- 36:54Speaker 4: You're always a little bi before you become gay.
- 36:58Speaker 2: It's on the way?
- 36:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I feel like with women, it's so not a big deal.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Because so many women... partake or will make out with
- 37:10Speaker 2: somebody in a bar that's a girl or they will
- 37:13Speaker 2: participate in a threesome in Vegas and you know don't
- 37:18Speaker 2: really mind and the guy doesn't ever question that his
- 37:22Speaker 2: girlfriend or wife could be gay because she's going down
- 37:25Speaker 2: on this girl that he also gets to screw so
- 37:27Speaker 2: it's just kind of like well I don't want to
- 37:28Speaker 2: point out the obvious because I'm about to screw her
- 37:30Speaker 2: too and you just are like okay yeah it's it
- 37:34Speaker 2: is what it is but.
- 37:35Speaker 5: I don't do we think this is gonna last I
- 37:38Speaker 5: I feel like this is like when Lindsay Lohan was
- 37:40Speaker 5: lesbian for a minute.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Oh, I remember that. You know, I follow that woman
- 37:43Speaker 2: who's a DJ.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Sam Ronson?
- 37:44Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 2: And now she honestly just looks like an English teacher
- 37:49Speaker 2: that can do DJing.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Like, because now she's like- Well, everyone's a DJ these days.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Yeah, she's like 45, which you're right. Now, a lot
- 37:55Speaker 2: of old women, a lot of houses, all the housewives
- 37:57Speaker 2: are going DJ route.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Meredith, Erica, they're all DJs now. Dorinda.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Yeah. I feel like there's another one.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Kyle.
- 38:03Speaker 2: No, Kyle doesn't DJ.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Kyle Cook.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Oh, Kyle Cook.
- 38:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 38:08Speaker 5: She may go to Aspen and start DJing to some
- 38:11Speaker 5: country music.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Morgan White.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Okay. And then going over to Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,
- 38:20Speaker 2: Taylor Frankie Paul. Apparently, first, there's lots of news with her.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Not all great. But one positive thing for her will
- 38:28Speaker 2: be the rumor that they are going to air her
- 38:32Speaker 2: season of The Bachelorette.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:34Speaker 2: But after today, that was last week news. And then
- 38:38Speaker 2: right after that, she apparently was in like a rehab
- 38:44Speaker 2: facility for mental health. And somewhere around there, Dakota called
- 38:49Speaker 2: the cops saying that she violated the order with their
- 38:53Speaker 2: two-year-old son ever about drop off or pick up or
- 38:57Speaker 2: who's in charge of drop off or pick up. And
- 39:01Speaker 2: she kind of made some comment in a story that
- 39:03Speaker 2: then she deleted, like, oh, really interesting that this person, like,
- 39:06Speaker 2: calls the cops on me again. Yeah. Does it have
- 39:09Speaker 2: to do anything with this possibly her getting to air this? Yeah,
- 39:14Speaker 2: now they're probably not going to air it.
- 39:16Speaker 4: I'm sure they're so done.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I mean, just when they think, like, maybe we will
- 39:20Speaker 2: if this is even a true rumor, then this comes
- 39:23Speaker 2: out that even if he didn't call the cops, going
- 39:28Speaker 2: to an inpatient facility for mental health, though it's good
- 39:33Speaker 2: if you need it, it's really fucking sad and serious
- 39:36Speaker 2: when you have three kids at home. And it makes
- 39:39Speaker 2: us all say, this chick should not be on reality TV.
- 39:42Speaker 2: This chick should not make social media her livelihood. Is
- 39:45Speaker 2: there any other way that she could make money or
- 39:48Speaker 2: survive or or have some type of coach with her
- 39:52Speaker 2: that has her do, maybe someone does all the con content,
- 39:56Speaker 2: but like, she doesn't really answer it. I don't know,
- 40:00Speaker 2: but I don't know how this girl is supposed to survive.
- 40:02Speaker 2: She can't do this, but at the same time, like
- 40:03Speaker 2: it's not healthy, obviously. And then after this incident, another
- 40:08Speaker 2: incident with her former husband, Tate Paul, who is the
- 40:13Speaker 2: father of her eight and six year old children is
- 40:16Speaker 2: He has filed to have full custody again.
- 40:19Speaker 4: And restraining order.
- 40:21Speaker 2: And restraining order. So something happened with them.
- 40:24Speaker 4: Yes.
- 40:25Speaker 5: I think he was already in the process of doing that, though,
- 40:28Speaker 5: when Dakota filed.
- 40:29Speaker 4: His restraining order.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Because remember, TMZ had a surveillance footage of them at
- 40:34Speaker 5: the courthouse running into each other. So I think Tate
- 40:36Speaker 5: may have started this.
- 40:37Speaker 4: A while ago.
- 40:37Speaker 2: So you think the legal stuff all caught up with
- 40:39Speaker 2: each other. It wasn't like this all happened in three days.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Correct.
- 40:42Speaker 5: I think the Tate thing is something that TMZ picked
- 40:45Speaker 5: up on, but I think Tate has been in the
- 40:46Speaker 5: process of doing that. Because from what I understand, Tate
- 40:50Speaker 5: didn't even see the video. Because remember, there were all those, like,
- 40:54Speaker 5: police calls with Tate where he didn't even realize how
- 40:57Speaker 5: bad the chair-throwing situation was.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 5: And then he was talking to the cops and saying that, like,
- 41:03Speaker 5: Taylor's mom was trying to coach the little girl on
- 41:05Speaker 5: what to say to the police and say that she
- 41:07Speaker 5: wasn't injured even though she had like a goose egg
- 41:10Speaker 5: it was a whole thing so I think he has
- 41:13Speaker 5: realized that there's just a lot to her that he
- 41:16Speaker 5: doesn't think is in the best interest of the kids
- 41:18Speaker 5: but it's he filed a restraining order he's fighting for full.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Custody I.
- 41:23Speaker 5: Think she's just a mess and I don't know how
- 41:26Speaker 5: she comes back from this because I think her being
- 41:29Speaker 5: on social media is not healthy because it just like
- 41:31Speaker 5: enables her to continue to behave this way and then
- 41:34Speaker 5: be the victim in all of this.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I did see something in between the original, like bachelor
- 41:40Speaker 2: bar and the bar stools being thrown that she did
- 41:44Speaker 2: like make an announcement or show that she bought her
- 41:46Speaker 2: own house.
- 41:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Did you see that? And she bought her house and
- 41:51Speaker 2: I don't know. It's like I said, it's just kind
- 41:53Speaker 2: of a weird thing because with these reality shows with
- 41:56Speaker 2: these 30 somethings and their young kids, which we'll get
- 41:59Speaker 2: into in a minute with the Valley too. It does.
- 42:01Speaker 2: There is a, There is a lot of drama, but
- 42:04Speaker 2: it's sad because it's involving really young kids.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:10Speaker 3: You know?
- 42:11Speaker 2: It's not a 45-year-old divorcing their husband after being on
- 42:14Speaker 2: the show for three years of Real Housewives and the
- 42:16Speaker 2: kids are 17 and 19.
- 42:17Speaker 4: It's not that.
- 42:17Speaker 2: It's like, It's sad and it's.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Hard to watch.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:23Speaker 5: You want to watch reality TV for like it's escapism,
- 42:26Speaker 5: whether that's like the crazy drama of 20 somethings cheating
- 42:29Speaker 5: on each other.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:30Speaker 5: And it's messy and there's no stakes. Nobody has anything
- 42:33Speaker 5: to lose. But when you get into this bracket.
- 42:35Speaker 2: You're right. Or like the 48 year old.
- 42:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Who's like, finally, fuck off, fucker. And you're rooting for her. Yeah,
- 42:41Speaker 2: I'm going to have my own candle shop, and my
- 42:44Speaker 2: kids are grown, and now it's me time. Then you're like, yeah,
- 42:49Speaker 2: you're right. Good for you, bitch. Good for you, Bronwyn,
- 42:53Speaker 2: for getting rid of Ugly Todd and Unsalt Lake. We're
- 42:55Speaker 2: all for that. Your kid is grown. He was a grump.
- 43:00Speaker 2: You're screwing a model.
- 43:01Speaker 4: Good for you.
- 43:03Speaker 2: But then there's these other cases where you're like, Yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Like the valley is really hard to watch.
- 43:09Speaker 2: So let's get into that. But first, Layla, I talked
- 43:12Speaker 2: about this the other day. So she came out. She
- 43:15Speaker 2: is also on Secret Lives of Modern Wives. And she
- 43:18Speaker 2: said a girl slid into her DMs and now she's
- 43:22Speaker 2: talking to her. Now, what is so weird about the
- 43:25Speaker 2: younger generation is that when you guys are actually having
- 43:29Speaker 2: sex with someone, but you're not in a full commitment,
- 43:32Speaker 2: you use the word talking, right? I'm talking to this girl.
- 43:36Speaker 4: There's talking, there's dating.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Drake had a friend over and the guy goes, oh,
- 43:41Speaker 2: I'm talking to this girl.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 2: But Drake said, oh, his girlfriend, you know?
- 43:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:46Speaker 2: It is his girlfriend. But the talking part, it's like,
- 43:51Speaker 2: to me, that's like, you're literally just talking. Like for
- 43:54Speaker 2: my gender, you're just talking.
- 43:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Because if I wouldn't, in my day, we'd say we're dating.
- 43:58Speaker 2: That means we're either kissing or... Touching a boob, touching
- 44:03Speaker 2: a dick, or full-blown sex, but we're just not legally
- 44:06Speaker 2: boyfriend and girlfriend. But talking can mean you've been boning
- 44:10Speaker 2: for a year.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I have so many guys that I've
- 44:13Speaker 5: been talking to for like a decade. Like I keep
- 44:17Speaker 5: them– I have like a shelf and I just keep
- 44:19Speaker 5: them in rotation.
- 44:20Speaker 4: But you are a good talker.
- 44:21Speaker 2: You made a career out of talking. But then there's
- 44:23Speaker 2: a whole other– Oh, because they don't even talk.
- 44:26Speaker 5: This is them talking, you know, and they send boob
- 44:29Speaker 5: pictures and then they're not even really talking.
- 44:31Speaker 4: They're just– I don't even know what they're doing. It's
- 44:34Speaker 4: so noncommittal.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Nobody seemed to care about this, though I've now talked
- 44:37Speaker 2: about it on two shows.
- 44:37Speaker 4: Nobody cares.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Like literally. But anyway, I'm like, who slid into our DMs?
- 44:41Speaker 2: And I'm like, is it Morgan Wade? I was going
- 44:43Speaker 2: to say it's Morgan. I'm going to make you love me.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Somebody said they went to the Dutton, whatever, Dutton Ranch
- 44:49Speaker 2: spinoff show, and she plays a bartender on it. And everyone, like,
- 44:53Speaker 2: girls were writing me and being like, I just want
- 44:54Speaker 2: to walk up to her and say, I'm going to
- 44:57Speaker 2: make you love me. Because I always sing that song.
- 44:59Speaker 2: But wouldn't that be funny if it was Morgan Wade?
- 45:03Speaker 4: That would be.
- 45:03Speaker 5: And I feel like Layla would do something like that.
- 45:08Speaker 5: She she's Raquel, right? When she was trying to date
- 45:10Speaker 5: James Kennedy, like she's that girl. She has no identity.
- 45:12Speaker 5: She doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know what
- 45:14Speaker 5: she wants. So she's kind of just like going with
- 45:16Speaker 5: the wind. And now she's in a world where social
- 45:19Speaker 5: media and reality TV have given her attention. And now
- 45:22Speaker 5: that none of them, like, look at Jesse and I
- 45:24Speaker 5: adore Jesse, but like Jesse and Marciano constantly like playing
- 45:27Speaker 5: this game of like, we're dating. We're not like, it's
- 45:29Speaker 5: so thirsty to me.
- 45:31Speaker 2: And nobody seems to care about that either.
- 45:33Speaker 5: And that's why these girls now just seem like they're
- 45:35Speaker 5: so desperate to clamor onto any sort of attention. Because
- 45:39Speaker 5: it's like you gave them all of this attention and
- 45:41Speaker 5: then it's been ripped away because they're not filming the
- 45:43Speaker 5: show right now.
- 45:44Speaker 4: So it's like they don't know what to do.
- 45:46Speaker 2: And I'm like, it must feel very it does feel
- 45:49Speaker 2: very weird because it feels like that's all we talked about.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Not we, but the Internet was very big on Secret
- 45:56Speaker 2: Lives of Mormon Wives like a year ago. They were
- 46:00Speaker 2: just the biggest, hottest things. And you're right. It must
- 46:03Speaker 2: feel a lot quieter when they open their phones now.
- 46:07Speaker 2: And I'm not saying it's not real, but she probably,
- 46:11Speaker 2: if the attention was all on her and like that
- 46:14Speaker 2: was seven months ago, would she have been so quick
- 46:17Speaker 2: to announce it on a podcast?
- 46:19Speaker 4: I don't think she would have needed to. And Jay, like,
- 46:21Speaker 4: I was like, really?
- 46:22Speaker 5: Like.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Also, Jay Shetty, this is 2026.
- 46:24Speaker 5: A coming out story is like, what is this, Ellen
- 46:27Speaker 5: on the cover of People magazine 30 fucking years ago?
- 46:30Speaker 2: Yep, I'm bi on a podcast instead of yep, I'm
- 46:33Speaker 2: gay on People.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Or I'm launching my girlfriend of eight months and we're
- 46:37Speaker 5: in a serious, committed relationship.
- 46:39Speaker 2: And we're talking.
- 46:40Speaker 5: This is so like, oh my God. I was like,
- 46:43Speaker 5: I literally do not care. But I just think she
- 46:45Speaker 5: doesn't know who she is. And she's at that age
- 46:47Speaker 5: where you're kind of discovering yourself too because she's like the.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Youngest on the cast.
- 46:50Speaker 2: I also feel like She never really had a juicy storyline.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Nobody really cared. She wasn't with her husband anymore. She
- 46:57Speaker 2: was dating this other guy that was somehow related to
- 47:00Speaker 2: somebody else. Nobody really cared. She was really pretty. And
- 47:06Speaker 2: she got nice big boobs. She's thin. She had issues
- 47:10Speaker 2: with her hair being done by Jesse.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:13Speaker 2: And I think that was about it.
- 47:14Speaker 4: That was basically it.
- 47:16Speaker 2: There wasn't anything else. But now if they dumped her,
- 47:19Speaker 2: it would look really bad. So I do think it's
- 47:21Speaker 2: kind of, whether it was strategic or not, probably wise
- 47:25Speaker 2: to do.
- 47:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:27Speaker 2: The Valley. We talked a little bit about The Valley. Oh,
- 47:29Speaker 2: speaking of which, let me see if it's here. But
- 47:33Speaker 2: The Valley, DJ James Kennedy is expecting a baby with
- 47:38Speaker 2: his 23-year-old girlfriend. And he did ask her to marry him.
- 47:42Speaker 2: In Lake Cuomo. And so then I was looking at
- 47:46Speaker 2: his Instagram and he's doing really good. He's still doing
- 47:50Speaker 2: DJ gigs all over. He seems really happy to have
- 47:53Speaker 2: a baby on the way.
- 47:55Speaker 4: She, again, is.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Only 23, very young. She slid into his DMs too.
- 48:02Speaker 2: And then she came out to visit him and never left.
- 48:05Speaker 2: And that was only seven months ago. Pretty short to
- 48:09Speaker 2: get pregnant anyway. But he was there at the Vanderpump
- 48:13Speaker 2: Hotel launch. He was one of very few people from
- 48:17Speaker 2: that era, even there.
- 48:19Speaker 4: Was Stassi there? No. Was she?
- 48:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, obviously she has a great
- 48:24Speaker 2: relationship with Lisa. I don't remember if I saw that.
- 48:27Speaker 2: But do you think if this show continues the valley,
- 48:33Speaker 2: do you think there's any chance that DJ James Kennedy
- 48:37Speaker 2: and his girlfriend, who will now have a child- would
- 48:40Speaker 2: ever be asked to come back on this show?
- 48:44Speaker 5: I don't think so. I don't think the show is
- 48:46Speaker 5: on its last leg. I don't know how they even
- 48:49Speaker 5: save it at this point. The issue with the Valley
- 48:51Speaker 5: is they have so many cast members and which is
- 48:55Speaker 5: part of why I don't think the show will ultimately
- 48:57Speaker 5: succeed because the more cast members you have, the more
- 49:00Speaker 5: money you have to pay them all. So it becomes
- 49:02Speaker 5: expensive to keep this show going. with each new season,
- 49:05Speaker 5: I imagine Lala's salary was not cheap to join the show. Schwartz,
- 49:09Speaker 5: I'm sure, would take whatever $ 5 they threw him to
- 49:11Speaker 5: buy a Little Caesars pizza for the night. But Lala,
- 49:14Speaker 5: I'm sure, has a big salary. But the issue with
- 49:18Speaker 5: the show is there's nobody that you're rooting for there's
- 49:20Speaker 5: no hero arc there's no um you know like i
- 49:26Speaker 5: i don't know who i think.
- 49:27Speaker 2: I even like i'll tell you the hero arc the
- 49:30Speaker 2: one that that everyone that you like is michelle.
- 49:35Speaker 4: But do we even really like her?
- 49:37Speaker 2: I like her. She got rid of her ex, Jesse. Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 2: And she had a really good moment where she's like,
- 49:44Speaker 2: I see you with your new girlfriend. And that's nice,
- 49:49Speaker 2: but it also makes you realize that you never really
- 49:52Speaker 2: did love me that way, and you were capable of it.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Maybe for the last few years, she just told herself,
- 49:57Speaker 2: he's not affectionate. He's not this. He's, you know, maybe
- 50:01Speaker 2: it's because we work together. Whatever she told herself, she
- 50:03Speaker 2: then saw this, and I thought that was probably the
- 50:06Speaker 2: most interesting moment of the season. And then the fact
- 50:10Speaker 2: that she's dating Dr. Dre, even though he has a
- 50:13Speaker 2: pretty problematic past with exes and things, he's... An older, super,
- 50:19Speaker 2: super successful guy. So that's kind of exciting. She is
- 50:24Speaker 2: selling houses all the time. So she's still keeping up
- 50:27Speaker 2: her normal career. So if she doesn't stick, she's not,
- 50:30Speaker 2: it doesn't, she doesn't feel as thirsty as the other
- 50:31Speaker 2: people to stay on the show. And so I think
- 50:35Speaker 2: she's probably the one that has, you know, maybe last
- 50:40Speaker 2: year people didn't feel they liked her as much, people
- 50:43Speaker 2: that are fans of the show. But I think she's
- 50:45Speaker 2: probably had the best arc.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Probably, but the issue is there are so many cast
- 50:49Speaker 5: members that have to share screen time that it washes
- 50:52Speaker 5: over her. Because I would agree, that moment with her
- 50:54Speaker 5: and Jesse was probably one of the more powerful scenes
- 50:57Speaker 5: we've had this season. Yeah. But I completely forgot about
- 51:00Speaker 5: it because I'm too busy watching Brittany shit in a
- 51:02Speaker 5: diaper with her boyfriend that she has to pay to
- 51:04Speaker 5: pick up her meds that she's not even getting.
- 51:07Speaker 2: You know? Because he's taking them. He probably did pick
- 51:11Speaker 2: them up. Who doesn't want a little Viking on a
- 51:13Speaker 2: slow Sunday? Jesus.
- 51:14Speaker 4: Exactly. So it's just like, there's no, you know... And
- 51:18Speaker 4: I love the issues. There's so many people. So many
- 51:21Speaker 4: of them are so unlikable.
- 51:23Speaker 5: And the hard part is you have Michelle, who I
- 51:25Speaker 5: think would have had that hero arc if there wasn't
- 51:28Speaker 5: so many other people taking screen time.
- 51:29Speaker 4: But then you also have.
- 51:31Speaker 5: characters stars like Lala and Kristen Doty who I feel
- 51:35Speaker 5: like are also just being completely overshined because they don't
- 51:38Speaker 5: even get to really give us these good moments that
- 51:41Speaker 5: they would typically give us because whether you like Doty
- 51:43Speaker 5: or Lala and I know a lot of people feel
- 51:45Speaker 5: mixed about both of them but they're both great reality
- 51:48Speaker 5: stars that can can deliver good reality tv moments and
- 51:52Speaker 5: when you have too many people that are crowding them
- 51:55Speaker 5: then yeah you kind of lose those stars And Brittany,
- 51:59Speaker 5: I don't want to watch Brittany anymore. I'm so over
- 52:01Speaker 5: Brittany and Jax. And I just, I want to root
- 52:05Speaker 5: for Brittany for Cruz's sake. Because, like, you know, I
- 52:07Speaker 5: feel bad that Jax was, like, not the best husband
- 52:10Speaker 5: to her. But, like, I don't need to see her
- 52:12Speaker 5: go through this mommy makeover journey. With this boyfriend that's
- 52:16Speaker 5: clearly only with her for the show.
- 52:18Speaker 2: He's gone now. Thank goodness. But one thing that I
- 52:23Speaker 2: thought was really interesting is, of course I follow Zach
- 52:27Speaker 2: Peter and everybody should no filter with Zach is the
- 52:30Speaker 2: name of his podcast and YouTube and everything else. And
- 52:33Speaker 2: you did a Bravo hot take about how you feel
- 52:37Speaker 2: that Jack's really the love of his life was Stassi.
- 52:41Speaker 2: And he never really got over that.
- 52:45Speaker 5: Yeah. I think he was the last woman that she,
- 52:48Speaker 5: that he, she was the last woman that he ever
- 52:50Speaker 5: really loved. And I think you can see that. And
- 52:52Speaker 5: I think the, The biggest tell sign, which kind of
- 52:57Speaker 5: clicked to me, was there was all that weird drama
- 52:59Speaker 5: over Stassi's wedding. Remember, he was talking crap about Bo.
- 53:02Speaker 5: He's talking crap about the wedding. They're saying that they're going,
- 53:05Speaker 5: but they're not really sure if they're going. And that
- 53:06Speaker 5: caused this big issue between Brittany and Jax with Stassi
- 53:09Speaker 5: and Bo because they were really pissed because they had
- 53:11Speaker 5: a scaled down wedding. And they had two spots that
- 53:13Speaker 5: they said they could have given to somebody else that
- 53:15Speaker 5: really wanted to be there. And Jax was talking shit
- 53:17Speaker 5: about the wedding for weeks. And I was like, it
- 53:18Speaker 5: didn't make any sense to me why Jax would even
- 53:21Speaker 5: care that much or why it was such a big
- 53:22Speaker 5: deal that they would have to go and whatever. And
- 53:26Speaker 5: I think it's because he still can't accept that he
- 53:29Speaker 5: lost her. I think he always loved Stassi. I think,
- 53:32Speaker 5: you know, she was difficult to deal with back then
- 53:34Speaker 5: when they were young, but as was he, but eventually
- 53:37Speaker 5: she grew up, she matured and she's, really in her element.
- 53:40Speaker 5: Her career is at an all-time high. She has a
- 53:42Speaker 5: wonderful husband. She has two beautiful kids. She gets to
- 53:45Speaker 5: be the breadwinner. And that, I'm sure, is hard for
- 53:48Speaker 5: Jax to see when he has... And not that I
- 53:51Speaker 5: have anything against Britney personally, but the issue with Britney
- 53:54Speaker 5: is she was so insecure. And probably because she allowed
- 53:57Speaker 5: him to get in her head, where she was such
- 53:59Speaker 5: a beautiful woman when she came to Los Angeles... And
- 54:02Speaker 5: then here she is getting plastic surgery for him and
- 54:05Speaker 5: constantly having to defend him, cheating on her and him
- 54:07Speaker 5: being a jerk to everybody. Like she, Brittany is the
- 54:10Speaker 5: wife that you want because she will hold it down
- 54:12Speaker 5: for you and she will make sure the kids are
- 54:14Speaker 5: taken care of, the bills are paid. Like Brittany is
- 54:16Speaker 5: the wife that you want. It just wasn't the wife
- 54:18Speaker 5: that Jax wanted. And it didn't matter what Brittany did,
- 54:22Speaker 5: whether it was getting new boobs or going on Jenny
- 54:24Speaker 5: Craig to lose all this weight to try and like
- 54:26Speaker 5: get him to choose her. He was just never going
- 54:29Speaker 5: to choose her. And I think because the last person
- 54:32Speaker 5: that he wanted was Stassi. And he tattooed her name
- 54:36Speaker 5: on his arm, and he was constantly trying to win
- 54:39Speaker 5: her back. But once she was done, she was done.
- 54:41Speaker 2: I think it's a very interesting take. I don't totally agree.
- 54:48Speaker 2: I think what happened was, I don't think he wasn't
- 54:52Speaker 2: over Stassi and didn't want to go to the wedding.
- 54:56Speaker 2: I think he, like a lot of people, when they
- 55:00Speaker 2: commit to doing something, That's expensive going to Italy. They
- 55:04Speaker 2: were already, I don't know if they're already married, but
- 55:06Speaker 2: they already had a child.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:08Speaker 2: So it wasn't like she was going to be the
- 55:10Speaker 2: runaway bride. I mean, it was just like, they were
- 55:12Speaker 2: having a beautiful wedding. Clearly Brittany and he were probably
- 55:16Speaker 2: never in a good place since the baby was born. And, um,
- 55:22Speaker 2: It seems like sex never got back on track, you know, whatever.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Life can change a lot no matter what when you
- 55:29Speaker 2: bring a child into it. They had special circumstances that
- 55:32Speaker 2: probably made it very difficult for his ego and everything.
- 55:36Speaker 2: And so I think they weren't in a good place.
- 55:38Speaker 2: He didn't want to spend that money. He was also
- 55:41Speaker 2: always stressed about the show. The show he was trying
- 55:44Speaker 2: to get off the air for a long time. And
- 55:46Speaker 2: I think that's why he was also mean to Brittany
- 55:49Speaker 2: and when she wasn't feeling good, when her stomach was
- 55:51Speaker 2: always sick and he blamed it on alcohol because that
- 55:54Speaker 2: meant we might not be giving them good TV. And
- 55:58Speaker 2: if we don't give them good TV, then the show
- 56:00Speaker 2: doesn't stay. So get your fucking ass out of the
- 56:04Speaker 2: bed and start doing something, getting in a fight with someone.
- 56:08Speaker 2: You in bed off camera isn't helping this without saying
- 56:12Speaker 2: it in front of the camera. And so he would
- 56:15Speaker 2: blame it on whatever else he could instead of just
- 56:17Speaker 2: saying like, Come on.
- 56:20Speaker 5: Because God forbid they're off TV again like they did
- 56:22Speaker 5: when they got fired from Vanderpump. Yeah.
- 56:24Speaker 2: It'll be interesting to see, you know, supposedly, you know,
- 56:27Speaker 2: Jack is sober. Supposedly he works with sober places. He,
- 56:33Speaker 2: you know, is kind of coming back in my feed.
- 56:35Speaker 2: I see a little bit more. If he will ever
- 56:38Speaker 2: be at a level to kind of really reflect on
- 56:41Speaker 2: all this, truly. I don't think he's really been there yet.
- 56:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 56:45Speaker 2: That could be really interesting. To hear from his perspective,
- 56:49Speaker 2: if he ever gets to a place, of really what
- 56:52Speaker 2: he was thinking, what of his motivations, being that his
- 56:55Speaker 2: whole career has been reality TV for 20 years. And
- 56:58Speaker 2: he really was the number one guy in the group.
- 57:00Speaker 2: And then he got canceled. Then he finally got this
- 57:03Speaker 2: other show back on. He got all these people... rolls
- 57:07Speaker 2: on it and then they in his mind turned against
- 57:11Speaker 2: him got him fired zach's like it's my show now
- 57:15Speaker 2: and um these like how that would be kind of
- 57:18Speaker 2: fucking annoying like none of you would be here for
- 57:21Speaker 2: with britney wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me
- 57:23Speaker 2: i brought her on the show like and that's why
- 57:26Speaker 2: when he said to lisa vanderpump this is my show
- 57:28Speaker 2: she's like excuse me it's not your show.
- 57:32Speaker 5: He was the face of the show which how how
- 57:34Speaker 5: well is her show doing now that they're all gone Yeah.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Nobody's watching that Vanderpump Rules reboot.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Well, that's why I think it's smart that she's going
- 57:41Speaker 2: to Vegas.
- 57:42Speaker 4: Start it fresh. I think that's a much smarter, yeah.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Call it something else.
- 57:45Speaker 2: Totally. It's going to kill.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Because Lisa's a star. Lisa Las Vegas.
- 57:50Speaker 2: Lisa Las Vegas, great title. She can, you know, it'll
- 57:54Speaker 2: feel fresh, her mentoring other people. I had said it
- 57:58Speaker 2: like two years ago, why didn't they do that instead
- 58:00Speaker 2: of this reboot?
- 58:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Because I'm like, they're in Vegas. You could really, it's
- 58:05Speaker 2: like could be that That fresh Hollywood aspiration. They're all
- 58:09Speaker 2: working at the cocktail lounge, but they all come from
- 58:12Speaker 2: different places.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:14Speaker 2: One person, their mother was a cocktail waitress, but they
- 58:17Speaker 2: want more in Vegas. Another person is trying to be
- 58:20Speaker 2: a comedian. Another person is trying to be a singer.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Another person is a Cirque du Soleil hopeful. Another person
- 58:25Speaker 2: just wants.
- 58:25Speaker 4: To be a showgirl.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Like if we followed, if they cast it right.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:30Speaker 2: And these people actually have relationships. I think it's so fresh.
- 58:34Speaker 2: I just think the second round of Vanderpump just felt
- 58:38Speaker 2: like a parody of an old reality show from 2008.
- 58:40Speaker 2: It just felt so unoriginal, even though it was new people.
- 58:44Speaker 4: Reheated nachos. That's what I called it.
- 58:46Speaker 5: It was just a plate of reheated nachos that just
- 58:49Speaker 5: was never going to work. But also, to your point, too,
- 58:53Speaker 5: Vegas still has that where you go to Vegas to
- 58:56Speaker 5: be a showgirl or to be a comedian.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Whereas L.A.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Doesn't have that Hollywood aspiration anymore.
- 59:01Speaker 2: It just doesn't anymore.
- 59:02Speaker 5: People want to come here to be influencers rather than,
- 59:06Speaker 5: you know, traditional entertainment. Yeah. And you don't need to
- 59:09Speaker 5: work at a restaurant to be an influencer anymore. You
- 59:11Speaker 5: could just go on OnlyFans and sell your butthole and
- 59:14Speaker 5: then you can make money off of doing that.
- 59:16Speaker 2: Right.
- 59:16Speaker 5: So, you know, LA is just so different that you don't,
- 59:18Speaker 5: I don't believe the, sir, I'm a waitress.
- 59:22Speaker 4: And I'm trying to launch my music video. Like it's just.
- 59:24Speaker 2: I mean, when you read, when I read Stassi's, not Stassi's, sorry,
- 59:27Speaker 2: Sheeta's book.
- 59:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:30Speaker 2: It was kind of sad because it was that it
- 59:32Speaker 2: kind of was there was nostalgia for the early 2000s
- 59:36Speaker 2: of where she was going, what she was hoping for,
- 59:38Speaker 2: dating all these guys. Apparently, she has been banned from
- 59:43Speaker 2: the Lisa Vanderpump Hotel.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:45Speaker 2: Lisa will not forgive what she said in the book.
- 59:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Which basically, my recollection, all she said is that there
- 59:53Speaker 2: were times that Lisa would call her and be like,
- 59:55Speaker 2: I need you to say this on camera today.
- 59:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:59Speaker 2: I guess that's breaking the rule, how magic is revealed.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: To me, I didn't think it was that big of
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: a coup, but I guess it pissed off Lisa.
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: Yeah, and that seems to be a trigger point for
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: her because it's always when people accuse her of trying
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: to produce good TV that she gets sour about it,
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: but it's like, but you produce good tea. Like, you
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: know how to be a good producer.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Just like own that. And if people like, if anything,
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: take it as a compliment.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: And essentially you are in that place. If you're in
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the boss mother role. Yeah. You are telling them to
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: do things and you should do this. You should apologize.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: He looks like he might be a cute bloke for
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: you to date. Like there could, that's what it is.
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: That's why it's going to work again. Hopefully in this other,
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: I think it could be fun. Um, So I don't know.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: We'll see. There are rumors about the Valley and all that.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: I don't know. It's a hard watch. Okay. Summer House,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Amanda Petula won't be a part of Summer House. We
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: know West won't be a part of Summer House. Ciara
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: is doing this after show thing on the very popular
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Love Island, but it doesn't seem like people really watch
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: the after show. And that takes her on an island.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: So she's like not out and about walking in with
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: her hot body everywhere. But, of course, she wasn't going
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: to turn that down. I just don't think people care
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: about watching an after show when they have to watch
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: it every night, right? You have to watch Summer House
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: every night.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: Love Island.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Love Island.
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: What did I say?
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: You have to watch Love Island every night.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like it's already a big commitment. And then
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: to watch the after show, too. And I just don't
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: know if Sierra Miller is a strong enough name to
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: pull people in. Yeah.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: Like Ariana Grande.
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: Became a big name because Scandival was like huge and
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: like Ariana somebody people wanted to root for was like
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: Summer House was not Vanderpump Rules right it didn't have
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: that cultural impact um and so the West and Amanda
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: scandal didn't really hit as hard um and so I
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: just yeah I don't think anybody's watching the Love Island
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: after show but so I yeah I don't know if
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: Sierra will be back or if she'll do cameos or
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: what she's gonna do but I mean if we lose
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: West Amanda and Sierra like What's even left for this show?
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: It's going to be a lot of new people that
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: hopefully they, maybe they have some threesome. Maybe they have
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: the Kristen Doty, Tom Sandoval, Jax, and... Stassi, Foursome, that
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: was found. I mean, when they found those four, all
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: working at the restaurant together, have history, are dating, in
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: toxic relationships, all trying to be actors, all funny and
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: great personalities. I mean, that was lightning in a bottle.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: So it's like maybe they have found some Like small
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: group of people that actually go to spend summers together
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: that all are like, we should be on the show. Like,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: This is what they should have done. You may disagree
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: with me because this is a hot take. I think
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: they should make this season of Summer House the farewell season.
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: This is what I said they should have done after
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Scandaval with Vanderpump Rules. Make it a shorter season so
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: that all of the cast members know this is our
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: last season. So I will come, I'll deliver. And my
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: commitment isn't very much because it's a limited amount of episodes.
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: And we know we have to have a conclusion by
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: the end of filming. And I think that that's what
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: they should do with Summer House. Make it a shorter season.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Focus it around Kyle because he's the Kyle and Lindsay.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: They're the anchors of the show. Bring back all the
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: old legacy characters for cameos each episode.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: The work is twins. Steven... You know, all the former...
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Paige and Hannah.
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: Paige and Hannah would come back for one weekend in
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: the Hamptons to give, you know, to do a farewell season, right?
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: You don't have to pay them a lot of money,
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: you know, because they're really just doing one cameo and
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: they're doing it for the nostalgia, right? So marketing it
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: as the farewell season will get everybody to watch it,
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: just like Vanderpump Rules. If they would have marketed this
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: as the final season of Vanderpump Rules, everybody would have
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: watched it, whereas so many people watched it reluctantly and
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: hated it the entire time and then they scrapped it
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: after the season didn't perform as well.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: And so.
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: Bring everybody back. Do all the little legacy characters. You
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: can keep Amanda separate from Sierra, but you can have
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: them go in different weekends, have Kyle and Amanda have
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: some sort of resolution, and then use that to fade
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: Kyle and Lindsay and maybe Carl into this in the city.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: Promote in the city. People are not into the city, though.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: But they're trying to make it happen in the city.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: And in the city is not terrible, but to finish
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: the thought and then revamp summer house with a new
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: batch of kids that are, that are young, that are
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: not in their forties, that aren't married with kids, like
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: revamp that in a way.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: And I think you can revamp that.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: They have to be like between 25 and 33. They
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: just do. That's the time that you would do this.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: You wouldn't do it after that.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: I think, um, speaking of, do you think that is
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: the motivation for making a big 20th season of OC
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: because people believe that might be the mindset behind Real
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Housewives of OC.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Is that they're going to reboot it?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: No, that this is goodbye.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Oh, I think it should be. I think it's time.
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: I think like, you know, the thing, the Housewives model
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: has gotten, because it's the same thing with Vanderpump Rules.
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: It's like in 2012, it was exciting because you had
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: all these young kids that were moving to LA that
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: had to be bartenders and busboys in order to try
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: to make it on the side as a DJ, a musician,
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: an actress, a comedian like Ariana. you know, whatever they
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: were trying to do at the time. And so that
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: worked for that model. But pretending that in 2026 or
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: 2025 that these kids still want to work at Sur
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: off of the Hollywood Boulevard Strip, like, you know, it just,
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: it doesn't land as much anymore.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: But the Real Housewives of O.C. situation, they just had
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: like a, it's premiering the 20th. So they're bringing a
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: couple people back. Joe was on the red carpet. Joe
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: De La Rosa was season one. However, I think that
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: could happen only because these OGs are now making so
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: much money per season each time they get a bump up.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: So several of them are up to well over a million.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Some are getting close. Emily and Gina, who we think
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: are like newbies, are on their sixth or seventh year.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: I think longer.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: So it's a lot. They've been on a long time. Yeah.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: And then, of course, the Trace Amigas all make like
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: probably 1.5 million. So that's a lot of money. And
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: I think then when you go over to Real Housewives
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: of Rhode Island, which was all new people, which they
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: saw those people at 60,000 a season. And it was
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: such a hit.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: That I'm like, I and they see the Mormon wives
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: are hit. And I see there being a movement to.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: finding new people that are maybe late thirties, early forties
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: at a prime age where they can still give the
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: network 10 to 20 years, but start them off in
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: a low salary. And like, so like, maybe it'll be
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: instead of OC, maybe it's going to be San Diego.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Maybe it's going to be Santa Barbara. Maybe it's going
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: to be, you know, whatever, like, which.
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: I think is smart. You need untapped Right. Like Rhode
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: Island was just so like nobody expected it.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: Even Salt Lake City. Like that was kind of unexpected
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: as well.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Whereas because like the fear is that they will just
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: reboot the current franchise. Right.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: Like New York. Right.
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: Nobody gives a shit about the reboot of New York.
- 1:07:28Speaker 5: Like literally nobody cares. And nobody wants to watch this
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: new season because they brought back Carol Radziwill.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: Like nobody cares.
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: But if you pick these new cities with these new
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: characters of women, because like you're not really having a
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: bunch of influencers in Rhode Island, but like in New York,
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: you're kind of getting that vibe. And that's why I
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: think a lot of those, like the Brins and the
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: Jezzels didn't really land because they're so disingenuous because their
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: lives are the side, like their lives are lived through
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: a filter on Instagram that's so curated. Whereas, like, the
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: Rhode Island girls were just, you know, these real down-to-earth
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: chicks that were willing to just give you everything and
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: make good TV.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: This Rhode Island girl, Liz, who was the Dolores lookalike. Yeah.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Who had a very juicy story and where her husband,
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: she was a stepmother but with her husband for 20 years.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: She was in her late 40s or early 50s. She, uh.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Was rumored to be hanging out with this guy, Dino,
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: who was a friend of the husband's. Saying like she
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: had an affair with him while the husband went deep
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: sea fishing for seven or eight months out of the year.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: She said, no, we're just friends. He's looking, he's starting,
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: he's starting a trial for drug trafficking. And she, after
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: having a very entertaining season, just announced that As filming
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: for season two begins, I have made the decision to
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: take a step back and focus on my family, my
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: work and my passions. Now she has a really good business.
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: I believe business idea with her lookalike Dolores from New Jersey,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: which is a menopause gummy for menopausal women. I think
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: that's one of the best real housewives things.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: Menopause and gummies right now are two hot topics.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: And so I think at this point she is in
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: a place where she's using her brain. She's in a
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: vulnerable position to, uh, Put her family and her marriage
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: in a place that might not get to repair if
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: she does another season. So I think she's being really
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: smart in not doing it. Yeah. And maybe she didn't
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: enjoy the fame as much as she thought. That's the
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: other thing. Maybe she was like, you know what? It
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: wasn't as fun as I thought. It's not worth it.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: She's really wealthy. Her house is amazing. Fucking stunning. Right
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: on the water. Like she doesn't need the money. And
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: this with the Dino and she just became a new
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: grandmother to the stepdaughter. Like, I just think she's like,
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: forget it.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: Yeah. At some point you have to realize like it's
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: not worth it, you know, especially when you have so
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: much to lose. Like it's not worth putting and exploiting
- 1:10:01Speaker 5: your family on reality TV. Look at how many housewives
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: whose lives have been completely turned upside down. And, you know,
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: it's sad to then watch that.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: And then, so this girl, Rula, and her podiatrist husband,
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: he was having an affair the whole time with this
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: other woman that was part of his business. in which
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: they're in a lawsuit together because of NDAs, and she
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: wasn't supposed to tell that she was the mistress, but
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: then she was supposed to be the mistress. That girl
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: on the reunion, Joellen, who had a problem with Rula
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: because she let Rula know that the husband was cheating,
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: and then she turned it around, like, stay out.
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: Of our business.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: She was like, is this a Chanel bag that your
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: husband bought you? And she's like, no. She goes, exactly,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: because the mistress has been texting me, and this is
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the Chanel bag that was bought, and this was the store,
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: and blah, blah, blah. Is that your bag? And she's like, no.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: And she's like, hmm. So they're staying on the show.
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I think they have to stay on the show because
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: now both their individual businesses are probably at risk, so
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: the only way to keep afloat is to stay famous
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: at this point. But that mistress girl... clearly wants to
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: be on the show. It's like, put me in coach,
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: put me in coach. She's still around though. I went
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: to her Instagram and she's not posting anything except about
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: her skincare laser business and like her kids. But, um,
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: she's blonde, she's attractive. She's like in her forties as well.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: And so that's, I mean, that's why this was, that's
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: why this was juicy.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: They found good people. It was a good cast.
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: Um, Lizzo's Bitch album sells less than 6,000 copies in
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: its first week, and she's very upset about it. Why
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: do you think no one's buying Lizzo's new album? Though
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: I did hear one of the songs, and it sounded
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: like an AI something that you'd put together for a
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: kid's cartoon, but whatever.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: Well, she claims that people didn't buy her music because
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: radio is dying, and she was the radio darling. when
- 1:12:04Speaker 5: radio's been dead for like 10 years, number one, and
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: she's like, but like streaming ruined music.
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: And I was like, how did streaming ruin music?
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: When streaming, if anything, has made more stars because it's
- 1:12:13Speaker 5: so much more accessible to get your music and to become,
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: with streaming and with TikTok and viral trends online and
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: all of that stuff, like you totally missed the mark.
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: Because your marketing team did not do what they could
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: have done for you if you think that radio was
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: the way that you were going to promote this album.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: I just don't think her music was that interesting.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: I think it was what she represented.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: And some of those songs, like, you know, the way
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: she sang them and, you know, and that she didn't
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: look like every other pop star, that she was fuller figured,
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: but she could still dance for two hours and play
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: the flute, and that she was just, you know, unapologetically she,
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: and it was great. And I think in that time, again,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: it was perfect timing.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: And now with the influx of weight loss drugs... People
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: do want to walk around and like get what they want,
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: which is fine. But then people will say, oh, it's
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: because she's thin. But I don't think that's it. I
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: just think she hit. Sometimes you have that peak and
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: you just cannot get back to it. Because she was
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: very funny on the Kevin Hart roast. She's been staying relevant.
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: You know, she's been in our faces.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: Looking good, doing her thing. I just, A, don't think
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: the album was very good. If she really had a
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: banger hit and, you know, but I just think people
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: bought into who she was and then those fans lost
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: interest and have left.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Just like, you know, teenagers don't have the same poster
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: in their room at 30 as they did at 13. Like,
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: people move on and they're into somebody else and they
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: don't really come back to that person because it was
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: like an era of their childhood or teenagehood.
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: When you make your entire identity being a big girl
- 1:14:14Speaker 5: and then you stop being a big girl, that can really.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Turn on you.
- 1:14:18Speaker 5: Look at Rebel Wilson. Look at Jonah Hill. Look at
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: Meghan Trainor. They built their identity on being I'm fuller figured.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: I'm confident. I'm healthy. I'm all of these things.
- 1:14:28Speaker 5: So then there was like a level of aspirationalism to
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: them where people were like, oh, like she is body
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: positive and she is really confident and good for her.
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: That's so empowering.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: And then the second they're given a drug to lose
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: the weight so fast, they just jump on it and
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: abandon that confidence that they had about embracing their body
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: and loving their body as is. And so I think
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: people feel like that's a bit disingenuous. I think with Lizzo,
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: it was the perfect storm. I think, sure, radio made
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: it more difficult, but I just think the old traditional
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: PR machine that made musicians stars doesn't work anymore. Very
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: similar to Blake Lively's PR machine of how she was
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: trying to control the narrative when she was losing so
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: epically on social media because people now have different access.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: So I think the PR machine is old. I think
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: the fan base that she had that really looked up
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: to her for owning her body and being body positive
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: doesn't believe it anymore because it seems disingenuous and then
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: i think the lawsuit the lawsuit the sexual harassment.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: Was really awful to her dancers and was like sexually
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: harassing them and body shaming them yeah and so i
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: think that they were i just think people get turned
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: off just like just like an old boyfriend. You're like,
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: I'm not, you gave me the ick factor. I don't
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: want to date you again. You could come back around
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: three years later and I see you at Denny's. I'm
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: still not interested. And I kind of think that's it.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: Like she was gone too long and she's not who,
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: and also the songs of some of those people you
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: brought up, the lyrics were about that. It wasn't just like, whatever.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Cause it, it hasn't hurt Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: No.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: And Kelly Clarkson's appearance has changed, but in her thing,
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: it was like, She also got rid of an awful ex-husband.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: And she's also grown up and she's delightful and she
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: still sings beautifully. And, you know, and we're rooting for
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: her as a mom and everything else. So it's like,
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: I don't think it's that. Jelly Roll, I do think
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: now there's this ickness about him now that we know
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: more about his relationship with Bunny. And then also the
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: more you just hear that like her just saying like, yeah,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: I was still turning tricks to get him a lawyer to, to,
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: so we can get custody of his daughter and, and help,
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: you know, help, uh, his music and his music going.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: And then it's like, yeah, we were like fed. It's
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: just like when Woody Allen would do a movie where
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: a young girl would be dying to fuck him. And,
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: and I'd be like, why would this 17 year old
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: be into this ugly 40 year old, skinny, gross guy.
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: And by the end of the movie, I'm like, I
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: guess I could date Woody Allen. It's the same thing
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: by having beautiful bunny.
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: With, unattractive jelly roll in every way. It was something like,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I guess, you know, all around, like, I guess I
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: could go for whatever. And then you realize like, he's
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: the one that left her and he's was cheating on her. And,
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: and I don't think it has anything to do with
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: him losing weight now. I think like people are realizing.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: His singing isn't that good. Like, what was what were
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: we fed? Like, what were we fed? And you're just
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: you get the ick factor just like you would a
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: boyfriend with a artist and you will not go back
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: to them no matter what they do. That's what I
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: think some of these people are.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Well, I agree.
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: But I think the difference with Jelly Roll and Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: It's their personalities and their actions that, you know, hooked
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: the audience, right? And that's why I think you can
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: still root for Kelly Clarkson. She never made her body
- 1:17:47Speaker 5: her identity, whereas Eliza and a Meghan Trainor or even
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: a Rebel Wilson, who was really heavy and she was
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: really funny and she leaned into being, you know, that
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: type of comedic character. But then when you switch that
- 1:17:58Speaker 5: on people and they already have an idea of like
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: that's your identity, whereas like Kelly Clarkson, her talent and
- 1:18:02Speaker 5: her personality were the two things that always shined. And
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: even with Jelly Roll, like there was like an aspirate.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: I mean, I think Bunny really did save his reputation
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: because there was nothing. I mean, he had good some
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: good music, but like he was not very attractive or interesting.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: To look at.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: So then he would go on stage and just, you know,
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: guy women love when a man is. in public is
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: praising his wife and is the biggest hype man. And
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: then many of us didn't know the whole history of
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: their weird relationship. And then when we hear it, we're like, ew,
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: and you dumped her in the end? Like, what the fuck?
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: Well, listen, this has been so fun. Zach, tell everybody,
