  Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's a fun time of the year. You know,

  Speaker 2: when you start to you know, field energy people come in,

  Speaker 2: they're celebrating something, you know, anniversaries, birthdays, whatever it is.

  Speaker 2: And then this year, I mean this time of the year,

  Speaker 2: it's you know, the holiday season for everyone, and they

  Speaker 2: do a great job. You know, they really do. It's

  Speaker 2: we got done naming all the sponsors.

  Speaker 1: Hey, it means the salespeople are doing their jobs. I mean,

  Speaker 1: you win a national championship. You should have sponsors, right,

  Speaker 1: more sponsors. Yeah, and we had a good year, Joe Madden,

  Speaker 1: the gang had a good year at iHeart Radio doing

  Speaker 1: the sponsorships. All right, let's do big picture here, six

  Speaker 1: games in coming off of coming off wins over Michigan
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: and Utah over the weekend. What have you liked about
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: your team? Six games and knowing that there's still a
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: lot of work to be done.

  Speaker 2: Uh, there's there's like some threads that run through through
• 1:40
  Speaker 2: the each game. There's a moments of, you know, great play.

  Speaker 2: There's moments of where everything looks connected and everybody's flowing
• 1:55
  Speaker 2: nice and freely and things are things are happening that
• 2:00
  Speaker 2: makes sense, you know. And and I thought the Ohios
• 2:04
  Speaker 2: State game, I thought maybe we had the most minutes
• 2:08
  Speaker 2: of it looking like that, you know, where there wasn't.

  Speaker 2: There was only one one segment that I felt there
• 2:16
  Speaker 2: was like some drop off. But just about every game

  Speaker 2: there is a stretch where it doesn't look good. So

  Speaker 2: that's I guess, to be expected early in the season,

  Speaker 2: and it's to be expected more so than it was

  Speaker 2: let's say, last year, because there's more players, there's more

  Speaker 2: people out on the court, and the more people you

  Speaker 2: put out in the court, the ugly air is going

  Speaker 2: to look. That's there. I mean, you can't you can't

  Speaker 2: avoid that, you know, because as soon as you put

  Speaker 2: us and over a period of time last year, let's say,

  Speaker 2: you know, the rotation was kind of tight, and so

  Speaker 2: when whenever you put somebody in, it didn't really affect

  Speaker 2: the core group that much. And they were together all

  Speaker 2: the time, so you know, they got to know each

  Speaker 2: other here. You know, we're trying to play a lot

  Speaker 2: of people, so they don't spend as much time together,

  Speaker 2: you know, at practice or whatever. So it takes a

  Speaker 2: got to find out too who who jels with who,

  Speaker 2: you know, like we can tell when we're looking on

  Speaker 2: the court. We know who's on the court when it

  Speaker 2: looks really really good, and we know who's on the

  Speaker 2: court when it's done look good.

  Speaker 1: So well, the two they've really looked good you expected

  Speaker 1: named Sarah Strong and asy fudd. Asi's off to a

  Speaker 1: fabulous start shooting the basketball. I mean, her average has
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: been very very good. It's it's gotten hot over the
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: last couple of games. Now she's up to let me
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: see here shooting fifty five percent from three, and I
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: mean she's she's on a little bender right now over
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: the last three or four games. But the thing that
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: stands out about Sunday eight rebounds. Eight rebounds for asy Fudd. Yeah,
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: I mean that's far and away a career higher. I mean,
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: you know, this is a yeah, We're gonna get eight
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: rebounds a game from her all the time. But yeah,
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: that was impressive.

  Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it was impressive on Sunday because it was
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: embarrassing Friday. So when you get embarrassed on Friday because
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: Sarah Strong has to get twenty rebounds because the rest
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: of you guys are just standing around going go Sarah,
• 4:32
  Speaker 2: you know, that's kind of embarrassing. At the end of
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: the game, you know, you look at the statue and
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: you see that no one else even made an attempt
• 4:39
  Speaker 2: to go rebound when you watch the film, so it
• 4:42
  Speaker 2: was not a fun watching the film on Saturday. And

  Speaker 2: I'm not even talking about what the score was. I
• 4:46
  Speaker 2: could care less about what the score was. That's a
• 4:48
  Speaker 2: perfect example what I'm talking about, where you know, we
• 4:51
  Speaker 2: start the first quarter and like bam, you know, like
• 4:53
  Speaker 2: we're off and running and then you know, like they forget,
• 4:57
  Speaker 2: you know, they forget that the the team was really
• 5:00
  Speaker 2: really good, you know, and so guys got in found trouble.

  Speaker 2: You know, Blanco was terrible and she didn't rebound the ball.

  Speaker 2: She had more thousand turnovers than points and rebounds combined.

  Speaker 2: That's not it. That's I don't care what language, Spanish,

  Speaker 2: Italian or English, that's a bad day. Yeah.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, it was tough. She played just eight minutes and

  Speaker 1: did not help herself much at all in that game,
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: and so we didn't get much from your bigs in
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: that game. Carried out.

  Speaker 2: No, No, it was just a it was hard to watch.

  Speaker 2: And then Saturday when we got together for film and practice,

  Speaker 2: you know, we showed it to them and pretty much
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: challenged them. You know, they say, you ought to be embarrassed.

  Speaker 2: That's the word I use. You ought to be embarrassed
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: that your teammate has to get twenty rebounds.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: You had a good conversation with Blanca, and I heard
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: the postgame presser and she took to it. People have
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: to remember she's a pro so to speak, having played
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: in Europe, but she's still what eighteen.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, she's eighteen, and she played professional basketball, but not
• 6:05
  Speaker 2: like in the Number one league where you know, Nika
• 6:10
  Speaker 2: and Dorka and those other guys playing. So she plays
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: on the team that we would beat here at yukon
• 6:16
  Speaker 2: that protein because it's the next level down, okay, And

  Speaker 2: she plays in a way that I call it she's reckless,
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: but sometimes she wrecks the other guys, not just us.

  Speaker 2: So you really can't do, you know, hold her back,
• 6:44
  Speaker 2: because if you hold her back, then you're not going
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: to get some of the great stuff that she does.

  Speaker 2: Like she does stuff nobody else on our team can do,

  Speaker 2: you know when you watch her. So you got to
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: just let her go and you know, learn from the
• 6:57
  Speaker 2: stuff that happens, you know, like the other night she
• 6:59
  Speaker 2: almost played a perfect game.

  Speaker 1: The other night Sunday, Yeah.

  Speaker 2: You know Sunday, but just for the you know, just

  Speaker 2: to give me something to get pissy about, she had

  Speaker 2: to go to Dribble Spin and crash into three of

  Speaker 2: their guys, just to remind me that, like coach, you know,

  Speaker 2: I'm not completely I'm not completely there yet, so you

  Speaker 2: have to bear with me.

  Speaker 1: It's like the movie The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, well yeah, she gets them all she gets them all.

  Speaker 2: But you know, you can't. You can't stifle her because

  Speaker 2: then you would never get all the great stuff that

  Speaker 2: we're going to get. So but she listens, and she's prideful.

  Speaker 2: And when I talked to her about her role on

  Speaker 2: our team and what it is right now and what

  Speaker 2: we need from her, she she took it to heart.

  Speaker 2: And it didn't wait two weeks to do it. Shed

  Speaker 2: like waited one day. So I'm really proud of her,

  Speaker 2: all right. Well, and easy as well, because you know,

  Speaker 2: to two of them, you know, I addressed both of
• 7:52
  Speaker 2: them about what they needed to do and needed to
• 7:54
  Speaker 2: do more. So I'm glad that Sunday both of them,

  Speaker 2: you know, stepped in and did exactly what we need

  Speaker 2: them to do.
