Fire Starts in Garage, Safety Tips Follow | Flint News
A fire erupted in a Grand Blanc Township garage Sunday morning, quickly spreading to the attic and severely damaging the main house—though no one was hurt thanks to quick evacuations. Crews arrived fast, saved a neighboring home from the flames, and emphasized a crucial safety tip: always soak ashes completely before moving them, and never put them in paper, cardboard, or plastic. Store them in a sealed metal container outside, away from flammable materials. A simple step that could prevent disaster.
