- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up MTV Jesse. Check me out on the Bootleg
- 0:02Speaker 1: keV podcast.
- 0:06Speaker 2: All Right, Bootleg CAV podcast. Man special guest here, welcoming
- 0:10Speaker 2: back my guy Jesse aka MTV Jesse aka Bloody Sunday
- 0:15Speaker 2: Jesse Sunday, et cetera, On and on and on. You're
- 0:19Speaker 2: looking like a like you lost like a whole one
- 0:22Speaker 2: of yourselves with this weight loss and this transformation. You
- 0:24Speaker 2: look good man, Thanks man? Uh, how because obviously a
- 0:29Speaker 2: couple of years ago you had kind of like dived
- 0:31Speaker 2: in on like just like redirecting your life in terms
- 0:34Speaker 2: of like getting clean off of alcohol because you were
- 0:36Speaker 2: you know, you had to you recognize you had some
- 0:38Speaker 2: sort of problem with alcohol, however severe and not severe
- 0:40Speaker 2: it might have been. Yeah, it feels like you've dived
- 0:43Speaker 2: all the way in on like kind of a lifestyle
- 0:45Speaker 2: change in terms of fitness, and I always see you
- 0:48Speaker 2: sparring and you're just always sweating and uh, you know,
- 0:54Speaker 2: shirtless sweating and shirtless. But well, first of all, obviously
- 0:58Speaker 2: what sparked that and how long has the journey been
- 1:00Speaker 2: for you where you really like are very consistent because
- 1:02Speaker 2: it's you could start most people start and stop starting
- 1:05Speaker 2: to stop start and to stop. Yeah, the consistency is
- 1:08Speaker 2: important that I.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Think that was the big changes because I was that guy.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I mean, I've lost thirty to fifty pounds like ten
- 1:15Speaker 1: times in my life, right, and I fucking got sick
- 1:17Speaker 1: at tired of being that guy.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Likewise, yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:19Speaker 1: And it's fucking annoying. I mean even just this last
- 1:21Speaker 1: week that went by, I like I went on the
- 1:23Speaker 1: scale after like my dad was down and like whatever,
- 1:26Speaker 1: and I'm like seven pounds heavier, and I just thought
- 1:29Speaker 1: cold stop. I was like, yo, you're not that guy,
- 1:31Speaker 1: Like you're not bouncing back to being like fuck yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: because you can into it dude so quick. Yeah, and uh.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And I think it's when you stop. Say like for me,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I weigh myself every Monday, and I'm like it's the
- 1:43Speaker 1: second You're like, nah, I know I'm heavier this week,
- 1:45Speaker 1: so I'm gonna weigh myself next Monday. I think that's
- 1:48Speaker 1: told yourself, go weigh yourself, look at it, write it down,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and then be like get back like.
- 1:54Speaker 2: And also weigh yourself at night, because if you weigh yourself.
- 1:56Speaker 1: In the morn, that I can't do I do I'd
- 1:58Speaker 1: naked you're naked.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I take as many and you're naked. You're like, I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't know why it is if you weigh yourself, like
- 2:04Speaker 2: right when you wake up, you weigh way less. Oh yeah,
- 2:07Speaker 2: that's crazy. You look even better. I know you'll be like, damn,
- 2:10Speaker 2: like my food processed. I'm I don't have a I
- 2:13Speaker 2: don't have a food baby right now.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I even make sure after my shower, I'm like fully dry.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah I can have wet hair.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, because it's a little extra weight.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, damn, I shave my pubes.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I fucking listen, it all counts. My pubes are going
- 2:26Speaker 2: down there. Do you shave your pubes over the toilet
- 2:30Speaker 2: or in a trash bag?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Let me think it's been a minute. Actually because I
- 2:34Speaker 1: was a joke.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Oh, I mean I got to take over a toilet.
- 2:36Speaker 2: You gotta do over the toilet. Yeah, you don't want
- 2:38Speaker 2: to be the guy shaving your pubes over the trash
- 2:40Speaker 2: and then like, yeah, wait I have a wife, Yeah
- 2:42Speaker 2: over the toilet.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Someone does it over the trash. I don't like I've
- 2:44Speaker 1: ever done that.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I think I think some people have done that. Actually, yes,
- 2:49Speaker 2: my co host little brother did that. They share a
- 2:52Speaker 2: place on my radio show, and he talked about how
- 2:56Speaker 2: his little brother shaved his pubes and it was all
- 2:58Speaker 2: over the side of the trash can.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And you got to clean up after too, because it's
- 3:03Speaker 1: always around the toilet.
- 3:04Speaker 2: See you gotta do you gotta do it paper towel yea, yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 2: it's almost like a paper towel is more stickier than
- 3:09Speaker 2: you imagine when you're cleaning pubes off of a toilet.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it grabs them.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It grabs them, man, it does. No, It's it's dope
- 3:15Speaker 2: to see everything going on with you.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Man.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Obviously, the last time you were on the show was
- 3:19Speaker 2: not too far after we launched the show. I mean
- 3:20Speaker 2: it's maybe like four or five months after we launched
- 3:23Speaker 2: the podcast. Been a minute, man, it's been a minute.
- 3:27Speaker 2: That was like kind of right after you not right
- 3:31Speaker 2: after you had left out, but I guess you had
- 3:33Speaker 2: kind of broke in your silence. It was right after
- 3:34Speaker 2: you dropped the first YouTube video, kind of talking of
- 3:38Speaker 2: the new direction of content that you were doing.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and I don't think i've I sold the company
- 3:44Speaker 1: at that point though.
- 3:45Speaker 2: No you didn't. It was like, no, that's that is correct,
- 3:48Speaker 2: because shortly after that we had me and you had
- 3:50Speaker 2: started clapping on some pranks.
- 3:53Speaker 1: We had some of the best due some of the
- 3:56Speaker 1: best best episodes we ever did.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Was I get stopped all the time, and they're always like, dude,
- 4:02Speaker 2: the prank with the guy who who wrapped like a bear,
- 4:05Speaker 2: and and and a coyfish and and Simba my voice,
- 4:10Speaker 2: you know, Simba, who's huge. You know at the time
- 4:13Speaker 2: he was on the come up. He still was on
- 4:14Speaker 2: the come up, but he's a lot bigger than he
- 4:16Speaker 2: was then. He even brings that shit up to me,
- 4:17Speaker 2: He'll be like, dude, that shit was crazy. Like people
- 4:20Speaker 2: still ask me about, like about that whole situation. Really
- 4:23Speaker 2: there was a snow the product one we did that
- 4:27Speaker 2: for whatever reason, that was with Steve, right, it was
- 4:30Speaker 2: with Steve, and for whatever reason, the like real version
- 4:33Speaker 2: of that prank did not drop.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I think, I don't know it's because it was I
- 4:37Speaker 1: think it was like we shot it as a milk video.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Well that's what I was gonna say. I don't know,
- 4:42Speaker 2: you guys had shot something, and I think that at
- 4:46Speaker 2: that time that was like a situation where Steve was
- 4:49Speaker 2: in it, and I think they they the real footage
- 4:53Speaker 2: of that was supposed to possibly come out on milk.
- 4:56Speaker 2: But we had like a kind of a diet version.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Oh I think I know what happened. That was around
- 5:02Speaker 1: because like me and Kyle were kind of shooting our
- 5:04Speaker 1: own things. Anyways, it wasn't very public, but like, yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 1: so the idea was towing cars as a prank, and
- 5:11Speaker 1: so I went to you and we shot that. We
- 5:13Speaker 1: brought Steve and we had a segment we were gonna
- 5:15Speaker 1: do for the video. But I think they got sued
- 5:18Speaker 1: or someone got I think like the team got arrested
- 5:20Speaker 1: for this rank. I think that, and then that's they
- 5:22Speaker 1: couldn't upload the footage or so or they couldn't finish.
- 5:24Speaker 2: So there's like really dope footage of this snow the
- 5:26Speaker 2: product prank that we'll never see the light of day.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But it was really good.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Got it on some drives.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Probably she had like her jeep was hooked onto a
- 5:34Speaker 2: tow truck and she was trying to back out on
- 5:36Speaker 2: the wheels were spinning and she's like freaking out. She
- 5:39Speaker 2: has her girlfriend in the car, and I think Steve
- 5:43Speaker 2: was just saying the cross. It was hilarious. It was
- 5:49Speaker 2: so funny. He was like talking about like, well, yeah,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I know girls can't drive. I mean you're a woman.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Oh that's what it was.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it was it was peak peak Steve will do
- 5:59Speaker 1: it and we can't let you drive because you're a woman.
- 6:03Speaker 2: It was good man, That's what I was gonna say. Man. Recently, obviously,
- 6:08Speaker 2: it was so awesome to see. Obviously the longer way,
- 6:12Speaker 2: everybody ever since the Full Sin podcast launch was waiting
- 6:15Speaker 2: on you to go on there. So it was dope
- 6:17Speaker 2: to see you guys chat and kind of talk about
- 6:20Speaker 2: the good old days and some of the early pranks
- 6:22Speaker 2: that you guys had and then they kind of.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You gave it a listen.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched the whole thing. Yeah, I think that
- 6:27Speaker 2: they had dropped. And then I watched the New York
- 6:30Speaker 2: one where you guys were security guards. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 6:32Speaker 2: very It just was like nostalgic.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I get a lot of people have hit me up
- 6:36Speaker 1: since that video and been like, yeah, it was like
- 6:38Speaker 1: the perfect nostalgic thing to do together that like brought
- 6:42Speaker 1: back like a lot of people. I think they they
- 6:44Speaker 1: got brought in a note because of that Coachella video
- 6:46Speaker 1: we did, so it was like their like first fucking
- 6:50Speaker 1: thing they seen. So they were just stoked to see that.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I just like, I think that that's what I
- 6:54Speaker 2: miss you guys. I just missed that kind of content
- 6:57Speaker 2: because it doesn't really exist anymore, and I don't think
- 7:00Speaker 2: I was focused on making that kind of shit anymore.
- 7:02Speaker 2: And so it was just dope to see, you know
- 7:03Speaker 2: what I mean, off each other. Yeah, and he just
- 7:06Speaker 2: you know, like I, I just think some of you
- 7:09Speaker 2: guys's branks were just some of the best shit, Like
- 7:11Speaker 2: you guys would really like you know, whether it's you
- 7:14Speaker 2: and uh, Steve. Obviously Steve's face, I don't even think
- 7:18Speaker 2: it's shown anyonere on YouTube from whatever, right.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Not even his hand. Man, it's fucking sad. Apparently I
- 7:24Speaker 1: heard that. Yeah, it was something doing a podcast with
- 7:26Speaker 1: him or something. Then he'd be off camera and like
- 7:29Speaker 1: or that's what it was. I think he did the
- 7:31Speaker 1: Donald Trump one or something happened and his hand was
- 7:33Speaker 1: in it and they were like flagging it and it
- 7:35Speaker 1: was like, what, it's fucking bonkers, dude, that poor guy.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Man.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I really feel bad for him because like sweet dude, dude,
- 7:45Speaker 3: and he was doing so much like look, he was
- 7:48Speaker 3: doing some like pushing the limit type ship, but he
- 7:50Speaker 3: also was giving away so much money to like random families,
- 7:53Speaker 3: like I remember he had that random lady he was
- 7:55Speaker 3: taking on the road with him everywhere, the black chick,
- 7:57Speaker 3: like I always thought, I mean, I'm miss him on YouTube.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I haven't checked him out on Rumble to see if
- 8:02Speaker 3: the pranks or the videos are still of of the
- 8:05Speaker 3: quality that they were.
- 8:07Speaker 1: But yeah, when you're deep platformed, it's hard to I
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't know, Like, yeah, I think it was because it
- 8:14Speaker 1: was like audio, but then they were always not in
- 8:17Speaker 1: it and then they said no, like I think they
- 8:18Speaker 1: used like his hand. I could be fucking wrong, but
- 8:21Speaker 1: I remember hearing that somewhere, but.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Well, how how good did it feel for you to
- 8:25Speaker 2: kind of give the fans some transparency? You know? And
- 8:30Speaker 2: and so good?
- 8:31Speaker 1: I bet right fucking because there was a long time coming.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I remember we shot a video on the Sunday channel,
- 8:37Speaker 1: like driving up to the house to go do it. Yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 1: and uh they were just like flogging me, like the team,
- 8:43Speaker 1: and I said this like thing, and it's so true.
- 8:45Speaker 1: I was like, I'm so glad that this is the
- 8:48Speaker 1: fucking full Sun podcast that we're gonna do where we're
- 8:51Speaker 1: like we're cool and we're like like we're in good terms,
- 8:54Speaker 1: me and Kyle, and like not that we're we were
- 8:57Speaker 1: in bad terms, but like it was definitely we went through.
- 9:00Speaker 2: It was awkar.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a fucking thing, and I didn't want
- 9:03Speaker 1: it to be some fucking mess on the internet. Like
- 9:05Speaker 1: you see a lot of people who are in this
- 9:07Speaker 1: social media game and it's like they almost ride it
- 9:09Speaker 1: as like all I don't want.
- 9:11Speaker 2: To we could use this reviews yeaheah.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And neither of us, like even him, like we both
- 9:15Speaker 1: were like this is some business shit. We're gonna figure
- 9:18Speaker 1: this out. And then I don't know, we did and
- 9:21Speaker 1: now we're cool. It's like, I mean, I think it's
- 9:23Speaker 1: a mix of like reconnecting with him personally for me,
- 9:27Speaker 1: but reconnecting with the whole team, shooting a prank again,
- 9:30Speaker 1: doing the podcast, being able to like actually say how
- 9:34Speaker 1: it is to all my audience and their audience and
- 9:36Speaker 1: our old fans, and like, dude, it just feels like
- 9:39Speaker 1: it literally felt like a weight off my back because,
- 9:42Speaker 1: like you know, it's like drinking and lifestyle and friends
- 9:45Speaker 1: and everything that I fixed in my life, there was
- 9:47Speaker 1: like that one thing that I was like needing to
- 9:50Speaker 1: knock off the fucking list, right, it just feels like
- 9:53Speaker 1: it's done now.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think it's cool too because now you
- 9:55Speaker 2: guys can like I feel like you guys were purposely
- 9:58Speaker 2: kind of like you know. I think think Kyle did
- 10:00Speaker 2: a good job of not speaking too much on it,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and I think even I had heard in an interviewer
- 10:04Speaker 2: somewhere he had said, I don't really want to dive
- 10:07Speaker 2: into it until Yeah. I talked with Jesse on the
- 10:10Speaker 2: podcast That's the fans deserve that, you know what I mean.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I think it was that Money by his Happiness podcast.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He like, yes, I watched that and I was like, oh, fuck,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I guess this is where it's all coming out. And
- 10:19Speaker 1: then he was just like he's always just been respectful
- 10:22Speaker 1: that yeah, And I'm like, that's why I've treated in
- 10:24Speaker 1: the same way. Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I think it's dope just to see that, man, And
- 10:28Speaker 2: like you said, the fans get a little closer because
- 10:30Speaker 2: you got share fans. I mean obviously you are and
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think an now boys, I think of you and him,
- 10:34Speaker 2: That's what I think of and Steve, you know, to
- 10:36Speaker 2: an extent of Sulim, you know. But it's dope man
- 10:40Speaker 2: for you though, Like have you gotten the itch? To
- 10:44Speaker 2: like kind of you know, maybe pop in our video
- 10:47Speaker 2: here and there, you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Know, like yeah, the so Kyle hit me up and
- 10:51Speaker 1: was like after we shot that, obviously, like the fans
- 10:55Speaker 1: were cool with it, like everyone everyone liked it, and
- 10:58Speaker 1: he was just like, dude, I'm just gonna let you
- 10:59Speaker 1: know every time we're shooting a video what we're doing.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Like and if you want to get down, yeah, pop.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Into whatever you want. So yeah, that's that's. I haven't
- 11:07Speaker 1: shot anything else right since that. But because obviously I'm
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'm like, we're pretty locked into a fucking schedule of
- 11:13Speaker 1: what I'm building. The new clothes.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Brand so many things. I don't even call it a
- 11:18Speaker 2: clothing brand, It's just a brand.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you get a lot of things on Xbox.
- 11:24Speaker 2: That shit was sexy, super crazy Yeah, yeah, crazyest Xbox
- 11:28Speaker 2: I've ever seen this ship. Would you guys have to
- 11:29Speaker 2: take it apart, paint it or did somebody do it?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah? I had to go through like a middleman company
- 11:35Speaker 1: to buy the Xboxes and then and then they did it,
- 11:37Speaker 1: designed them ourselves, and then we got them to like
- 11:40Speaker 1: like do it to them. But we're doing the same
- 11:42Speaker 1: thing with uhcause we have a nineties drop coming out,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and we're doing ten game Boy colors. Oh so it's
- 11:49Speaker 1: kind of sick like game Boy color, but in our color.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That's great. Yeah. So for you now you just kind
- 11:55Speaker 2: of have the option whenever you want to film, Hey, yeah,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I want to do the Bigfoot thing or yeah yeah.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Which is like I never didn't want to do pranks.
- 12:02Speaker 1: That's why I did Shipthold.
- 12:03Speaker 2: When you were doing Shithole, you did some great ship.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Like you had the old man that I just saw
- 12:09Speaker 2: at a random restaurant in the valley oh Eaton Park
- 12:12Speaker 2: and Burbank. I was there at my parents and I
- 12:13Speaker 2: saw that old dude who was like, oh Grams, Yeah, yeah, Gramps.
- 12:16Speaker 2: And I was just like, that's the dude. Well he's
- 12:20Speaker 2: like a straight up actor. Yeah, tons of shit. Yeah,
- 12:23Speaker 2: great fucking actor. But yeah, no I saw him. I
- 12:25Speaker 2: was like, that's the fucking old man from the fucking
- 12:27Speaker 2: uh the Jesse videos. Yeah. I mean Shithole was dope.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I mean for you at the moment documenting kind of
- 12:37Speaker 2: the new what Sunday is, right, the brand You've been
- 12:40Speaker 2: putting so much into, so much work into I told
- 12:43Speaker 2: you off camera, I was like, it's crazy because I
- 12:45Speaker 2: kind of feel like I've just been watching this thing
- 12:49Speaker 2: since like incubation just come alive on YouTube, and now
- 12:52Speaker 2: you're obviously having success. You had the pop up shop. Yeah,
- 12:57Speaker 2: it feels like everything's just flying. I mean, you know,
- 12:59Speaker 2: you drop and it sells out. Yeah, and for you, like,
- 13:04Speaker 2: I guess what is your You have so much going on.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You train, you're working out, you got the brand, you're
- 13:12Speaker 2: shooting vlogs, content, all of that. What is kind of
- 13:15Speaker 2: like you're like most of your energy going into because
- 13:19Speaker 2: you also eventually want to kind of help do stuff
- 13:23Speaker 2: for other brands.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Right yeah, we're currently already doing that right now.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Oh dope.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Just we we slowed down at the start, like the
- 13:30Speaker 1: like you were saying, you seem like it feels like
- 13:32Speaker 1: you like know Sunday from the start, you can feel
- 13:35Speaker 1: how the whole operation works. We got like I've said
- 13:38Speaker 1: this before, but like that's why we got so much
- 13:40Speaker 1: hate on it because it was like we were so
- 13:42Speaker 1: transparent that we like didn't even know what the fucking
- 13:44Speaker 1: company was. Like we were figuring it out and people
- 13:46Speaker 1: were seeing us figure it out, which again I think
- 13:48Speaker 1: long term is paying off because now people are like whoa,
- 13:51Speaker 1: now now I understand all the moving parts. But yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 1: the only thing with the working for other people and
- 13:57Speaker 1: designing their shit is it is super complicated unless if
- 14:02Speaker 1: you do if you do six out of ten things
- 14:04Speaker 1: for that company and they commission you to do that,
- 14:07Speaker 1: but then they fuck up the other four and it
- 14:09Speaker 1: doesn't sell or it doesn't work, Yeah, and they want
- 14:12Speaker 1: to blame you for not working and you're like, well,
- 14:14Speaker 1: you didn't not a market, or you didn't know how
- 14:16Speaker 1: to you know, whatever it was, whatever it is. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 1: So I think the key is coming in and in
- 14:22Speaker 1: the future it'll be like venture studio absorbing companies, like
- 14:25Speaker 1: taking half the company small that we believe.
- 14:27Speaker 2: In, right, so that we can help build them up.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and we could do everything for them.
- 14:31Speaker 2: But like if you kind of become a partner and
- 14:34Speaker 2: you make it vertical mm hmm, fully vertical and.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Don't do too many of them, just like true, yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it don't take on too much because then you're gonna,
- 14:41Speaker 1: i mean, everythink it's watered down if you're gonna do that.
- 14:42Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. Yoh, it's crazy because I
- 14:45Speaker 2: remember the way you were talking about like the blank
- 14:46Speaker 2: and how important it was to find the right blank yeah,
- 14:49Speaker 2: and like what like did you guys have to because
- 14:52Speaker 2: there's so many blanks out there, there's like Los Angeles
- 14:55Speaker 2: apparel and uh is that like a peril of the
- 14:58Speaker 2: big thick one that I like plaus suos Yeah, but
- 15:04Speaker 2: like for you Gilden yeah yeah right, so like how
- 15:08Speaker 2: did you find the blank or did you create the blank? Create?
- 15:13Speaker 1: Everything's created? So everything we sell is completely custom, but
- 15:16Speaker 1: it's uh, I would say it it's a Frankenstein of
- 15:21Speaker 1: a bunch of different shirts. So like for that T shirt,
- 15:23Speaker 1: it was like it has a little bit of an
- 15:24Speaker 1: acne studios blank it Like that's where the boxy fit came.
- 15:28Speaker 1: The fabric was like some shirts that we liked, but
- 15:32Speaker 1: it was also came down to just Tyler, who's part
- 15:34Speaker 1: of our sourcing team. He just he knows every single
- 15:37Speaker 1: fabric we go feel fabrics, Like we sampled that shirt
- 15:40Speaker 1: like twelve times, so it just kept frankensteining until we
- 15:43Speaker 1: were like, this is the perfect shirt at a perfect
- 15:45Speaker 1: price point, and.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Do you go to China to feel fabrics? Just curious?
- 15:49Speaker 1: I haven't yet. No, he is our like connection to that.
- 15:53Speaker 2: He's the guy who's got the Chinese plugs.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but we're also doing a lot of shit domestically too.
- 15:57Speaker 1: We're trying to as much as we can.
- 15:59Speaker 2: I mean that's dope. Yeah, if you don't have to
- 16:00Speaker 2: outsource it, you can support some American companies. Why wouldn't
- 16:03Speaker 2: you or North American companies can shout out to Canada. Yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 2: we're all in this together and not. So it's just
- 16:13Speaker 2: dope to see man for you, Like, have you felt
- 16:17Speaker 2: Because I can only imagine when you're a part of
- 16:20Speaker 2: something so big like you were, and you voluntarily walk
- 16:24Speaker 2: away while trying to build your own shit, there has
- 16:31Speaker 2: to be some time, whether it's subconscious or not. And
- 16:36Speaker 2: I don't really take you as a type of person
- 16:37Speaker 2: like second guess yourself, but you can't help but be
- 16:42Speaker 2: like a normal human being who goes to normal human emotions.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Was there ever any point in time where you, you know,
- 16:48Speaker 2: either one second guest leaving Nelk or two, did you
- 16:55Speaker 2: feel like it was just a really hard, uphill battle
- 16:58Speaker 2: to try to get over it? Kind of being Jesse
- 17:01Speaker 2: from the Milk Boys as opposed to being Jesse from
- 17:04Speaker 2: Shithold Jesse from Sunday.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Like, Yeah, I mean it's kind of two big parts
- 17:11Speaker 1: obviously it was like such a long thing to do,
- 17:15Speaker 1: so it wasn't I did have I obviously had the
- 17:18Speaker 1: feeling of like should I do this? Should I not?
- 17:21Speaker 1: Because it went on for two years, you know what
- 17:24Speaker 1: I mean? So why it did happen?
- 17:25Speaker 2: And while that break happened, this Happy Dad thing is
- 17:28Speaker 2: going fucking bonkers. Yeah, and you owned a piece of
- 17:32Speaker 2: happy Dad, right, yeah, yeah, so you're you're obviously, I mean,
- 17:35Speaker 2: Happy Dad is fucking everywhere. It almost feels like it's
- 17:39Speaker 2: like bigger than anything now that those days are a
- 17:42Speaker 2: part of. So I can only imagine, like like you said,
- 17:44Speaker 2: like you're you're kind of like damn, like like I
- 17:47Speaker 2: think that's just a human nature thing to just be
- 17:50Speaker 2: like I mean, not to say necessarily second guessing yourself,
- 17:52Speaker 2: but definitely like kind of assessing what's going on, Like
- 17:56Speaker 2: did I make the right move? And obviously you're in
- 17:58Speaker 2: the middle of negotiating a buyout, I'm assuming yeah.
- 18:02Speaker 1: And I don't know how much I can talk on it,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but that like Happy Dad full send. Now, everything that
- 18:08Speaker 1: was happening in that time, everything was being negotiated, So
- 18:11Speaker 1: it was like there was a point where it was
- 18:14Speaker 1: like is this like leaving everything or is this leaving
- 18:18Speaker 1: some or what does this steel look like? And fucking
- 18:20Speaker 1: So that's why it was so big, right, Happy Dad.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It's massive, It's like and I think, yeah, walking around
- 18:27Speaker 1: walking away with Happy Dad is massive and secure for me.
- 18:32Speaker 2: So wait, do you still own a piece of Happy Dad? Yeah?
- 18:34Speaker 2: Yeah at home.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we're we're sleeping good now, we're good.
- 18:39Speaker 2: So well, I know who to ask to borrow money
- 18:43Speaker 2: for any sort of clothing venture or adventure in general,
- 18:47Speaker 2: or if I want to go get tugged off somewhere Jesse,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you got it. But that's crazy.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Here there's a podcast clip of me talking about that already,
- 18:55Speaker 1: where I like said about I don't know it like
- 18:57Speaker 1: went viral as just like you know, viral a couple
- 18:59Speaker 1: of million views, but of me talking about how I
- 19:02Speaker 1: sold the company but I kept Happy Dad and it
- 19:05Speaker 1: was so funny how that was connected to so many
- 19:08Speaker 1: people that I could tell saw that and called me
- 19:11Speaker 1: and started pitching me all their ventures and I'm like,
- 19:14Speaker 1: I'm not that.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Rich, bro. Like also like dude, fuck off. Yeah, Like
- 19:19Speaker 2: I know you saw the YouTube short and all, but like,
- 19:21Speaker 2: you know, go fuck yourself, like everyone wants to go
- 19:24Speaker 2: for lunch. All of a sudden, you're like, are you
- 19:26Speaker 2: pretty like involved or you just kind of.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Not completely disconnected? Just just check Yeah, shout to you man.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny that you're you don't drink anymore, but
- 19:37Speaker 2: you own one of the biggest Seltzer brands in the world.
- 19:39Speaker 1: It's wild. And then I've never tried it. That's fuckingmore wild.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yo, I know da wild wild because you had already
- 19:48Speaker 2: left because I remember watching them going through the tasting
- 19:50Speaker 2: and you weren't there. Yeah, wow, I know, sick.
- 19:56Speaker 1: That's so fucking weird. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Like I I owned some I've never tried, so you're like, Yo,
- 20:02Speaker 2: that's crazy. Have you had any and you know, like
- 20:06Speaker 2: I think that you spoke about it. I don't think
- 20:08Speaker 2: you ever were like the type of alcoholic in which
- 20:10Speaker 2: like my uncle or some of my family members are
- 20:12Speaker 2: where like you're like physically dependent on alcohol to get
- 20:16Speaker 2: through your day and if you were to get off
- 20:17Speaker 2: of it, you go through withdraws and maybe end in
- 20:19Speaker 2: the hospital. But you were drinking a lot, you were
- 20:21Speaker 2: partying a lot. It was your lifestyle. Have you gotten
- 20:24Speaker 2: to any sort of point where you were vulnerable where
- 20:27Speaker 2: you thought about having a drink at all?
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely not, but not in a negative way more right.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Now, That's why I didn't want to like people to
- 20:34Speaker 2: think you're like relapsing, because I don't think that, Like
- 20:36Speaker 2: I don't look at you as like the guy who's like,
- 20:38Speaker 2: I'm sober three years bro, Like I got my chip,
- 20:40Speaker 2: I'm going to meetings.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't even say sober anymore because there's also like
- 20:44Speaker 1: a drink. I just don't drink. Yeah, And and honestly,
- 20:48Speaker 1: I literally only did it because my mom said to
- 20:49Speaker 1: me one time. She was like, you don't want to
- 20:51Speaker 1: be the guy that can't have a beer. And I
- 20:54Speaker 1: knew that it was more of a lifestyle change. I
- 20:56Speaker 1: just had to get out of that lifestyle where that
- 20:58Speaker 1: was a part of my fucking job every day. And
- 21:00Speaker 1: I think that I've accomplished that and I feel healthier
- 21:04Speaker 1: and all the shit. So it's been crossing my mind,
- 21:07Speaker 1: just like how long it's it's weird. It's like it's
- 21:10Speaker 1: such a streak now that it's like weird to break
- 21:13Speaker 1: that seal. And to be honest, I'm a little worried
- 21:15Speaker 1: about how it'll make me feel, like because the last
- 21:18Speaker 1: time I had like a couple of drinks I like
- 21:20Speaker 1: made my head all fucked up, I fucking I don't know,
- 21:22Speaker 1: it screwed me up so like the very last time
- 21:25Speaker 1: I drank, So I don't know. It actually like scares
- 21:27Speaker 1: me a bit to have a drink. But maybe that's good.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Do you miss like beer the most? Honestly?
- 21:33Speaker 1: Maybe a cold beer, but maybe it's just like going
- 21:35Speaker 1: over for dinner and yeah, having a glass of wine
- 21:37Speaker 1: feeling a little loose.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah, like a little like social drink, you know, miss
- 21:41Speaker 2: so Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I guess if you
- 21:43Speaker 2: were going to break the streak, you should break it
- 21:44Speaker 2: for the company that you're partner earth.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, definitely have a happy dad. Yeah, for sure.
- 21:49Speaker 2: The best flavor, by the way, fruit punch, and I
- 21:52Speaker 2: don't even think it's close. I think it's fruit punch,
- 21:55Speaker 2: and then I think it's the death Road grape. I
- 21:59Speaker 2: heard a lot was saying that grape one's great, and
- 22:02Speaker 2: then it's probably I'm not gonna lie the first like
- 22:06Speaker 2: pack that dropped. I think I only liked one of them. Really,
- 22:10Speaker 2: I think I only like, I haven't had the banana one,
- 22:12Speaker 2: but I do love fruit punch is fire really yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 2: fruit punch. If you're gonna break the streak, you gotta
- 22:18Speaker 2: go fruit punch.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I gotta send you a case here, man, I don't
- 22:20Speaker 1: know you drink it. Oh yeah, yeah, we'll get you something.
- 22:24Speaker 2: You know. I opened a nightclub in scott Stale and
- 22:26Speaker 2: uh really carry Happy Dad.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll check it out. Yeah, it's a hip hop club, obviously,
- 22:32Speaker 2: it's it's it's not like the Scott Steel spots you
- 22:34Speaker 2: guys usually go to that have Happy Dad. But we
- 22:36Speaker 2: are cracking. We just had the baby, we just had
- 22:39Speaker 2: sexy Red. We just I mean, it's it's lit. But
- 22:41Speaker 2: we do have Happy Dad. We carry Happy Dad. So
- 22:44Speaker 2: I've tried them all, but I think we keep the
- 22:46Speaker 2: grape in stock, the grape and fruit punch.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Really yeah, yeah, I wonder how many fucking stores and clubs.
- 22:53Speaker 2: And it's crazy because it's everywhere, because I mean, I'm
- 22:56Speaker 2: sure as you know, like when you guys, I mean
- 22:59Speaker 2: you were necessarily heavily involved, but you know, it is
- 23:02Speaker 2: your company part of it. And when Happy Dad first dropped,
- 23:06Speaker 2: it was like a real mission to find it. Like
- 23:10Speaker 2: if you found I remember the liquor store would be
- 23:12Speaker 2: like dude, we can't. Like we'd get like twenty cases
- 23:15Speaker 2: in and they sell like right away to like one guy. Yeah,
- 23:18Speaker 2: And it was like, what the fuck.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm sure that was all designed by Kyle. Like that's
- 23:22Speaker 1: where he's a genius, Like he just created the demand
- 23:24Speaker 1: right away. Yeah, made it limitless. It's almost like a
- 23:26Speaker 1: drop style alcohol.
- 23:27Speaker 2: That's what they were doing, where it'd be like, hey,
- 23:29Speaker 2: this location in Orange County is.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Getting thousand kids outside of there. My kids, but twenty.
- 23:36Speaker 2: One year olds. Man, twenty one year olds.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Of course, I'm gonna have to be annoying and take
- 23:40Speaker 1: up piss.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Take a piss, more to take a piss. Sorry about that, man,
- 23:44Speaker 2: Oh you're good yo?
- 23:45Speaker 1: What up?

- 27:26Speaker 2: we're back. All right, my bad has commenced. This has commenced. Yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 2: I think, like I think we were talking a little
- 27:37Speaker 2: bit just kind of about like the process. Obviously shout
- 27:42Speaker 2: out to happy dad. If you were to have a drink,
- 27:44Speaker 2: could we establish that it would be a happy dad?
- 27:46Speaker 2: You gotta try your own shit. How Like I always
- 27:50Speaker 2: wonder when you own a company like that, because like
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm part owner of a nightclub, I have certain like
- 27:55Speaker 2: ways I get paid out. Do you get paid out quarterly?
- 27:57Speaker 2: Do you get paid out yearly? Is it bi annually?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Like I think it's uh yearly, but it's mostly I
- 28:07Speaker 1: don't even know how that all. Fuck I even dove
- 28:09Speaker 1: into it too much, But it's more of just like
- 28:11Speaker 1: that shit sells one day, fucking that's more.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Which I'm sure it will. Yeah. Yeah, you know you're
- 28:16Speaker 2: banking on the cell because the cell's got to be
- 28:17Speaker 2: coming eventually, even if it's like not any time soon.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Like it feels like like the goal if you're like
- 28:23Speaker 2: an up and coming alcohol company is to get it
- 28:25Speaker 2: super popping and then sell to like a book Hardy
- 28:28Speaker 2: or like one of these big dogs down yeah Vanheuser
- 28:30Speaker 2: Busch or something, and just cash the fuck out.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I have a feeling that that was the motion. I
- 28:35Speaker 1: don't want to speak for anyone, but I think they're
- 28:38Speaker 1: seeing how well of a job they're doing it, and
- 28:40Speaker 1: they're like, maybe this is a ten year plan. Maybe
- 28:43Speaker 1: this is like they're gonna go for it. They're gonna
- 28:45Speaker 1: try to be like yeah, Budweiser or like I get it.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I mean, I mean or white white what's it? What's
- 28:50Speaker 2: the other one like white claw? Yeah, what's yeah? I
- 28:52Speaker 2: mean they're taking that market share for sure. For you, man,
- 28:57Speaker 2: tell me like, uh, what are you? What are your relationships?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Like, like how often do you talk with a guy like
- 29:02Speaker 2: Steve these days?
- 29:04Speaker 1: Pretty slim with Steve. He'll he'll text me or DM
- 29:09Speaker 1: me like a sentence every once in a while, and
- 29:12Speaker 1: then I'll be like like something just out out of
- 29:14Speaker 1: the box, random, and then I'll hit him back and
- 29:16Speaker 1: be like it's out, buddy, And then not.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Like when he got like the platform, do you like
- 29:20Speaker 2: feel inclined to like reach out like see if he's okay?
- 29:22Speaker 2: Because I feel like, yeah, for sure, as someone with
- 29:24Speaker 2: a YouTube channel and I see certain people's channels just
- 29:27Speaker 2: getting demonetized or deleted, I would like, I don't even
- 29:31Speaker 2: know what I would do, man, Like, yeah, it'd be heartbreaking.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Well for him, it's like it's not even because of
- 29:35Speaker 1: financial really, I think it's more just he loved Like, dude,
- 29:40Speaker 1: he literally did love doing that, Like he loves doing
- 29:42Speaker 1: shit for people and giving to people. And I think
- 29:44Speaker 1: that the show that he was doing gave him a
- 29:46Speaker 1: purpose to keep doing that. And I think he just
- 29:49Speaker 1: loved being a YouTuber and a creator, like and I'm
- 29:53Speaker 1: sure that that's that's a toll man. When someone takes
- 29:56Speaker 1: that away from you, it fucking sucks. So I do
- 29:58Speaker 1: feel for him, man, for sure.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Man sucks. Talk to me about for you, like the
- 30:03Speaker 2: Sunday thing? What is the what had it? Because there
- 30:08Speaker 2: had to be a few names in the running for
- 30:09Speaker 2: your new brand mm hmm. Give me kind of a
- 30:12Speaker 2: few of the other names it almost made it? And
- 30:13Speaker 2: why did you end up kind of landing on Sunday
- 30:17Speaker 2: other names?
- 30:19Speaker 1: I honestly don't think there was there comes.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Than anything that that that you were like, you know what,
- 30:23Speaker 2: let's put that on the whiteboard because I like it.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Let's just put it down there just because I want
- 30:27Speaker 2: to see it.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Well, it starts with Bloody Sunday, Okay, I've had for
- 30:32Speaker 1: a while. It's also got my own little personal meaning
- 30:35Speaker 1: that I don't make public, but they like then it
- 30:40Speaker 1: just it's kind of like when they I think it
- 30:42Speaker 1: was like Facebook was called like the Facebook, and then
- 30:44Speaker 1: they like slimmed it up. So like Bloody Sunday being
- 30:47Speaker 1: the streetwear brand which started as shoes that I worked
- 30:50Speaker 1: on for like five years, just and just as a hobby,
- 30:52Speaker 1: I just wish like you.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Had drop backpacks, like what yeah, a year and a
- 30:55Speaker 2: half ago, there was.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Like real high end like looking. I just I just
- 30:59Speaker 1: like making shit. It's I was just making suit for
- 31:01Speaker 1: the homies. But Sunday, it just it really hit me
- 31:05Speaker 1: that one time with like I don't know if I've
- 31:07Speaker 1: already explained this or if you know this already, but
- 31:09Speaker 1: the whole idea of I like to look at life
- 31:11Speaker 1: as like chapters a bit, and Sunday is like this
- 31:14Speaker 1: chapter that I'm on, and it kind of felt like
- 31:17Speaker 1: NELK was a Friday night, The vibe of a Friday
- 31:19Speaker 1: night Saturday was full Send, like keep going, and then
- 31:22Speaker 1: Sunday was like everything you just think and feel when
- 31:25Speaker 1: you think of Sunday as like what we represent and
- 31:28Speaker 1: what I represent and what I'm trying to build it
- 31:30Speaker 1: into is just like that really like relaxing, but it's
- 31:37Speaker 1: like a little like a tempo down, you know what
- 31:40Speaker 1: I mean. But it's also like I don't know, I'm
- 31:43Speaker 1: gonna butcher explaining this, but it's just I know, it's
- 31:46Speaker 1: like I know what it means to me, and it
- 31:48Speaker 1: just I know it makes sense.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Well, you guys like really mastered somehow the culture that
- 31:56Speaker 2: you created and turning it into like an EXCLUDI pusive
- 32:01Speaker 2: brand that was kind of like a supreme if you will.
- 32:06Speaker 2: When certain drops with like I think you guys would
- 32:08Speaker 2: drop with full Send. Was it every month? Almost? Yeah, monthly,
- 32:13Speaker 2: it was like a monthly drop. And I and like,
- 32:16Speaker 2: I'm I'm assuming that you guys had opportunities to make
- 32:20Speaker 2: it not so exclusive and ended up in atillies or
- 32:23Speaker 2: a Zoomis or something. And I'm assuming you guys probably
- 32:27Speaker 2: were smart enough to be like, no, we like what
- 32:29Speaker 2: we're doing. It keeps our brand super exclusive. We don't
- 32:31Speaker 2: want to hoard out for you, is that something you
- 32:35Speaker 2: want to kind of carry over with Sunday like because
- 32:38Speaker 2: it feels super exclusive, Like it's almost like this is
- 32:40Speaker 2: going to get made and if you don't get it,
- 32:41Speaker 2: you're never going to get it because it's not getting
- 32:43Speaker 2: made ever. Again.
- 32:45Speaker 1: That's that's the only business model I know for creating
- 32:49Speaker 1: brands and what I'm good at. But I also I
- 32:52Speaker 1: do I don't want to create something that's also like
- 32:55Speaker 1: fifteen year old me can't be a part of because
- 32:58Speaker 1: I missed the drop or it's too expensive. So I'm
- 33:00Speaker 1: keeping that in mind, and that's where there's a lot
- 33:03Speaker 1: of different lanes that we're building out that likes. That's
- 33:07Speaker 1: why I think it's like so smart with Sunday being
- 33:09Speaker 1: the catalog dropping in the color and then that that
- 33:13Speaker 1: enters that piece into the catalog, Like now we can
- 33:15Speaker 1: use that to design for years going forward. But the
- 33:18Speaker 1: idea that that drops in the green and that Sunday
- 33:20Speaker 1: and that's always the most limited, like it happened with
- 33:23Speaker 1: our last drop. Every Sunday SKW sold out in like
- 33:25Speaker 1: a minute under a minute, And I think that then
- 33:29Speaker 1: Sunday can kind of become that that you know, special
- 33:34Speaker 1: limited never happens again. Bloody Sunday can be just as special,
- 33:39Speaker 1: but a little easier to get, a little easier to
- 33:41Speaker 1: get and and then it's not like out yet. But
- 33:45Speaker 1: I've been working in the background for I'm trying to
- 33:47Speaker 1: make up another brand that's like a sister brand that's
- 33:50Speaker 1: in the company, same culture, same designers, everything, but it
- 33:54Speaker 1: isn't h it's a little inexpensive. It's like and I'm
- 33:59Speaker 1: working on it with possibly like Atillies or a Zoomi's
- 34:03Speaker 1: and it's gonna be something, yeah, but it's a brand
- 34:06Speaker 1: for it. It's called and it's we were literally because
- 34:08Speaker 1: we were talking and we were like, what about can't
- 34:11Speaker 1: afford this? What it was can't And we were like
- 34:13Speaker 1: like the everyday kid that I was going sitting at
- 34:15Speaker 1: the skate shop, and I'm like, I want to create
- 34:17Speaker 1: a brand that's just as cool and you can feel
- 34:19Speaker 1: a part of the party. But it's not about always
- 34:23Speaker 1: just like selling out and limited and you know, high margins.
- 34:26Speaker 1: It's just it's like everyday brand for but still as
- 34:29Speaker 1: the culture of what we are, you know.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and like you you're very good at like creating
- 34:34Speaker 2: a like that's why I said earlier. It's not that
- 34:36Speaker 2: it's not a clothing brand, because you've always been really
- 34:39Speaker 2: good at just kind of just having just shit, like
- 34:43Speaker 2: if you want to fucking flag or you want.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I mean.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Just a lanyard, Yeah, like a lanyard, you know what
- 34:52Speaker 2: I mean? Like it doesn't always have to be like
- 34:55Speaker 2: hats and shirts and shit like no, it kind of.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Like that's what fascinates me though, Like I love how.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Find a new shit, Like what if we did our
- 35:02Speaker 2: version of this?
- 35:03Speaker 1: Like why can't we make our own mics? Why can't
- 35:05Speaker 1: we make our How when you find out that, like
- 35:07Speaker 1: how that shit's made? What is the minimum motor? Like
- 35:11Speaker 1: what can you customize on this? That's why the Sunday
- 35:13Speaker 1: brand's so fun because everything has to be in the color.
- 35:16Speaker 1: So when you look at like a mic like this,
- 35:18Speaker 1: like how wood steel, like then oh, if you want
- 35:22Speaker 1: to change the steal, you got to hit ten thousand MOQ.
- 35:25Speaker 1: It's like fucking I don't know. I find all that
- 35:27Speaker 1: the logistics of it super interesting, damn, but I don't
- 35:32Speaker 1: know if I answered anything, you know.
- 35:33Speaker 2: No, that sounds great. No, I just I just feel
- 35:36Speaker 2: like it's dope to kind of because like You've done
- 35:37Speaker 2: such a good job of like building brands. You know,
- 35:40Speaker 2: obviously I give you a lot of credit, and I
- 35:41Speaker 2: have a lot of credit for the nelk shit, But
- 35:43Speaker 2: I feel like just the clothing shit. I knew when
- 35:45Speaker 2: you had initially quote unquote broken off from filming it
- 35:49Speaker 2: was to focus on the clothing side and building out
- 35:52Speaker 2: the merch more and shit. So I know that it's
- 35:54Speaker 2: very you know.
- 35:55Speaker 1: I think that's what flicked a bell for me, is
- 35:57Speaker 1: when that happened. And because I got to remember that
- 35:59Speaker 1: when I was a kid, that's where it all started.
- 36:01Speaker 1: It was skateboarding, filming skateboarding and creating clothing, Like I
- 36:05Speaker 1: was a kid sewing clothes under my locker, trying to
- 36:08Speaker 1: make that work, and I just always loved it. And
- 36:10Speaker 1: I think that just made me realize if at a
- 36:12Speaker 1: point in my life I was unhappy, I'm like, this
- 36:15Speaker 1: shit makes me happy. I want to like I could
- 36:17Speaker 1: wake up every day and just work on like designing
- 36:19Speaker 1: clothes and making products, and.
- 36:21Speaker 2: No, I think the marketing of it, right, that's kind
- 36:23Speaker 2: of like the everyone's dream. Can I wake up every
- 36:26Speaker 2: day and do what makes me happy and get paid
- 36:29Speaker 2: for it?
- 36:29Speaker 1: And it's silly to be like financially secure and then
- 36:34Speaker 1: not do that. That's where I like, that was my
- 36:37Speaker 1: my tipping point of just like what am I doing?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Like So one of my favorite parts of the Nelk
- 36:43Speaker 2: era was when your dad Pat would be in the
- 36:46Speaker 2: videos because I just think he's fucking sick. He just
- 36:48Speaker 2: seems like a sick hang. I met him a couple
- 36:50Speaker 2: of times. I met him when you were in the
- 36:51Speaker 2: studio with CASKI yeah, how involved do you have him involved?
- 36:56Speaker 2: And you said he was just hure for a few weeks.
- 36:57Speaker 2: Is he involved with anything with the brand or is
- 37:00Speaker 2: he just dad at this point?
- 37:01Speaker 1: Like just just character? I think, like, for one, I
- 37:04Speaker 1: mean I just bought a home, so it's been cool
- 37:07Speaker 1: to have him down and like I'm trying to make
- 37:09Speaker 1: a real effort of how important that's going to be,
- 37:12Speaker 1: just being able to like work on my first house
- 37:15Speaker 1: and it's a fixer upper, so just like great, I
- 37:17Speaker 1: used to do that when I was a kid with him,
- 37:19Speaker 1: and I know that.
- 37:20Speaker 2: So he's like a contractor.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Yeah, We're like he's like a hank. Yeah he'll, he'll, he'll.
- 37:26Speaker 1: The Only problem with him is he's gonna find like
- 37:28Speaker 1: the cheapest way to do everything shout out yep. That
- 37:30Speaker 1: sounds like, man, I'm not trying to lose value on
- 37:32Speaker 1: that home. So I'm like I'm trying to always push him.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, many is the right way, Dad, Yeah,
- 37:37Speaker 1: the right way?
- 37:38Speaker 2: Like things are good right now. We don't have to
- 37:40Speaker 2: we don't have to cut corners.
- 37:41Speaker 1: But I definitely am carrying over the character when it
- 37:43Speaker 1: comes to like the Sunday Show and what we're doing.
- 37:46Speaker 1: And I mean, I think we found that with nelk
- 37:49Speaker 1: is just the the father's son comedy and his son
- 37:53Speaker 1: being my dad being a father figure to like now
- 37:56Speaker 1: everybody was what was so funny And also just like
- 38:00Speaker 1: for those guys, like they've came to me and him
- 38:02Speaker 1: numerous times when we were on those trips, and it
- 38:04Speaker 1: was like, I don't know whether it was like some
- 38:07Speaker 1: don't talk to their dad a lot or have a
- 38:09Speaker 1: close relationship, it's just like it's good. I mean, I
- 38:12Speaker 1: even get a lot of comments about that whenever they
- 38:14Speaker 1: see like footage of me and my dad, and it's honestly, like, dude,
- 38:18Speaker 1: it's like the saddest shit when someone says like I
- 38:20Speaker 1: don't I never got that. I don't get to do
- 38:22Speaker 1: that with my dad. So I look forward to those
- 38:23Speaker 1: click watch those.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Dude.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's like you want to hit on my fucking heartstrings.
- 38:28Speaker 1: That's like, dude, that's fucking I don't know. That makes
- 38:31Speaker 1: me want to shoot more content with him if it's like.
- 38:34Speaker 2: I love a man, especially when he's like as a
- 38:36Speaker 2: fold up chair. He's in the.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Garage anytime I try to produce his ship. Yeah, it's
- 38:41Speaker 1: horrible when I just say.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Do what you do. Here's you. You have to try
- 38:45Speaker 2: to work your phone. It always works, huh yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: And he'll just he just makes like a Peaky Blinders set.
- 38:50Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw that one. Peaky Blinders
- 38:52Speaker 1: is No one's even talking about it. It happened ten
- 38:54Speaker 1: years ago.
- 38:55Speaker 2: And he's over. It's over. I had a little research.
- 38:57Speaker 2: It's going to hit Netflix, but yes, yeah, fair enough.
- 38:59Speaker 1: But he watched it that week, so he's like Peaky
- 39:01Speaker 1: Blinders set.
- 39:02Speaker 2: It's crazy because I'm sure you probably have heard from
- 39:08Speaker 2: fans of what you did. Prior you had to have
- 39:12Speaker 2: heard from some people like did you inspire anybody to
- 39:14Speaker 2: quit drinking at all? Yeah?
- 39:16Speaker 1: That was especially near the start of it all. I
- 39:20Speaker 1: was having people like come up to me and dude,
- 39:22Speaker 1: like the saddest one when I was in Hermosa Beach
- 39:26Speaker 1: and this it's not sad, it's just this shit always
- 39:28Speaker 1: hits me. But like this mother came out to me
- 39:30Speaker 1: and was, yeah, same whole story, just like her son
- 39:33Speaker 1: was relapsing like a bunch and that he's been sober
- 39:39Speaker 1: for X amount of months because of you and fuck him.
- 39:41Speaker 1: It's just like and that's around the time where I
- 39:43Speaker 1: was going through a lot of shit, and like you said, like,
- 39:45Speaker 1: am I making the right decision? And I remember I
- 39:47Speaker 1: just like that's all I needed. I was like, Yep,
- 39:50Speaker 1: I'm doing the right thing right now, like anything when
- 39:53Speaker 1: you're helping that one kid.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Though, that's crazy, Like you said, not that there's any
- 39:56Speaker 2: problem with drinking, but I do think that, like at
- 39:59Speaker 2: the end of the day, it is it is a
- 40:01Speaker 2: behavior that if you let it get out of hand,
- 40:03Speaker 2: it will negatively affect your life. Yeah, it could. It
- 40:06Speaker 2: could make you get a duy that you shouldn't have got.
- 40:09Speaker 2: It could make you make a decision. I mean, everyone's
- 40:12Speaker 2: one decision away from fucking their whole entire life up
- 40:15Speaker 2: at any given time, right, So it's like that that
- 40:18Speaker 2: your ability to make that fucked up decision is however,
- 40:21Speaker 2: much more likely because you're intoxicated, right, Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 1: So it's like that's where the anxiety comes from, because
- 40:26Speaker 1: it's the like, yeah, like I get it. I'm sober now,
- 40:30Speaker 1: and I think it's just a tick that I've brought over.
- 40:33Speaker 1: But it fucking the idea of oh, crashing my car
- 40:36Speaker 1: or doing it like, it's just like one second, you
- 40:39Speaker 1: could ruin your fucking life. And I just I think
- 40:42Speaker 1: that if you are living that lifestyle, is nothing wrong
- 40:44Speaker 1: with drinking, But if you're deep into it where you're
- 40:46Speaker 1: fucking doing it every day, or you're blacking out a lot, dude,
- 40:49Speaker 1: like you slip up once, it's.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Just yeah, because when you like we've all had those
- 40:53Speaker 2: knights or those friends where you black out drunk and
- 40:55Speaker 2: you literally say, I don't know what happened last night.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Imagine not knowing what happened the entire night and day
- 41:00Speaker 2: prior because you were so fucked up you could have
- 41:02Speaker 2: did anything.
- 41:03Speaker 1: That was my problem. I was a blackout drunk like
- 41:06Speaker 1: I never I don't know if I was really an alcoholic.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I was a fucking just like I was a life
- 41:10Speaker 1: for the party. So I if I was gonna drink,
- 41:13Speaker 1: I would just drink.
- 41:13Speaker 2: And how how it's it's it's interesting to just kind
- 41:17Speaker 2: of see how the world has turned in the last
- 41:19Speaker 2: three years in terms of like just everything. Obviously COVID
- 41:23Speaker 2: was crazy, But you guys, I want to say the
- 41:25Speaker 2: tail end of what before you had kind of stepped
- 41:28Speaker 2: away was those early COVID videos, Yeah, which were great
- 41:32Speaker 2: because if I curiously living in La watching you guys
- 41:35Speaker 2: party and like the ozarks wherever the fuck you guys were,
- 41:38Speaker 2: was sick. How like were those like, I mean, that
- 41:43Speaker 2: had to be a stressful time to shoot because we
- 41:46Speaker 2: don't know all the information. Everyone's freaking freaking the fuck out.
- 41:49Speaker 2: I mean, I think fast forward to now, we probably
- 41:51Speaker 2: have all come to the conclusion that everything's all right
- 41:54Speaker 2: and if you get COVID, chance to so you'd be okay.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, if your health it's probably a cold.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Were fun, right, Yeah, But at that time, it's like
- 42:02Speaker 2: peak hysteria, like early peak hysteria. Yeah, and you guys
- 42:06Speaker 2: are hitting the road doing these just these weekend fucking
- 42:11Speaker 2: just insane binges.
- 42:14Speaker 1: What so so many lecture videos you can do, and
- 42:17Speaker 1: like we were doing a lot of.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Guys doing a lot of popping in on the zooms
- 42:20Speaker 2: and yeah. Yeah, So so like what what was it
- 42:22Speaker 2: like hitting the road during that time? Where was everyone
- 42:24Speaker 2: freaked out, like worried about catching COVID or didn't.
- 42:28Speaker 1: I don't think so. I mean we had a massive team,
- 42:30Speaker 1: so it was we were still taking Like I would
- 42:34Speaker 1: love to know what we spent on just testing and like.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Because everybody had to test.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we were testing all the time.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Early tests were expansive.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was crazy.
- 42:42Speaker 2: You couldn't go to Walgreens and get a test.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but if we had to keep the company a
- 42:47Speaker 1: flip going. It kind of reminds me of like UFC
- 42:49Speaker 1: and that they did. They were like the one organization
- 42:51Speaker 1: that was like, we're not going to just like say
- 42:54Speaker 1: fuck the rules, but we're gonna like find a way
- 42:56Speaker 1: to make this work because I'm running a company.
- 42:58Speaker 2: WW did that too? Yeah?
- 42:59Speaker 1: Did they?
- 43:00Speaker 2: Yeah? They had like a they had a It was
- 43:03Speaker 2: kind of corny, like WrestleMania during the pandemic was like
- 43:06Speaker 2: a ring surrounded by a bunch of screens of fans
- 43:11Speaker 2: watching on zoom.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Oh so it looked like real fans and.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Kind of I mean, it just looked like thousands of
- 43:17Speaker 2: people sitting in their chair on their webcam, so it
- 43:20Speaker 2: kind of but there was no noise, so there's no
- 43:21Speaker 2: crowd does or anything. Oh fuck, So it's like quiet
- 43:24Speaker 2: people just hitting the mat and then you just see
- 43:27Speaker 2: like people like react like a half a second late,
- 43:31Speaker 2: you know, because like not everybody's got the best internet
- 43:33Speaker 2: out there, and.
- 43:35Speaker 1: That must have been weird for UFC when they were
- 43:37Speaker 1: doing it in Vegas a lot. Yeah, Like imagine you're
- 43:40Speaker 1: used to massive crowds reacting. It's just quiet quiet. You
- 43:43Speaker 1: can hear the other coach, you can hear.
- 43:45Speaker 2: It almost kind of feels like it could fuck your
- 43:47Speaker 2: whole like oh yeah, if you're like used to fighting
- 43:50Speaker 2: that like with the noise and shit, and it's just
- 43:52Speaker 2: dead quiet, like and you could hear everything, like you
- 43:55Speaker 2: could hear the commentators and shit.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Like it's a little too I'm gonna say serious, but
- 43:59Speaker 1: I mean spar wespire every Friday, and like you got
- 44:01Speaker 1: tunes on, there's people Like it's like it's a vibe
- 44:05Speaker 1: I couldn't imagine just dead quiet two people trying to
- 44:08Speaker 1: kill each other.
- 44:09Speaker 2: In what is are you doing? Jiu jitsu?
- 44:12Speaker 1: Mostly just striking so kickboxing, boxing or just whatever, just yeah,
- 44:18Speaker 1: muitai definitely, like it's like very useful style, but the
- 44:23Speaker 1: I really want to start doing a little bit more
- 44:27Speaker 1: ground game and just maybe even a day a week.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, my boy, So I train in the morning. I
- 44:32Speaker 2: don't do jiu jitsu, but I trained. I work out
- 44:35Speaker 2: with my guys do at a jiu jitsu gym. Oh nice,
- 44:39Speaker 2: And so I just don't know if I could roll
- 44:42Speaker 2: around with another grown man in some of those compromising positions.
- 44:46Speaker 1: No one talks about how it's pretty gross too, Like
- 44:49Speaker 1: you're covered in sweat and you're sweating, and there's staff infection,
- 44:53Speaker 1: there's dude, that's all that's part of that culture.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Ring worn yep.
- 44:57Speaker 1: And someone comes in they got a band aid on
- 44:59Speaker 1: their neck and you're like, oh cool, like yeah.
- 45:01Speaker 2: And it's like you know, like uh, dudes will sweat
- 45:05Speaker 2: in your mouth like unfortunately, it's like unavoidable.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Well jiu jitsu gyms, it's normally like twenty dudes, ten people,
- 45:13Speaker 1: you know, yes, like.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 45:14Speaker 1: They call it sparking the rolling yeah, and but then
- 45:18Speaker 1: they'll go, okay, the switch partners. So now you're just
- 45:21Speaker 1: like covered in sweat, on a sweaty.
- 45:23Speaker 2: All, everyone's sweat is cross pollinated.
- 45:26Speaker 1: It's by like special soap to like it's like, I
- 45:29Speaker 1: forget what's called.
- 45:30Speaker 2: But it's almost like you're you're very dependent on a
- 45:33Speaker 2: lot of people to be taking care of their hygiene
- 45:36Speaker 2: at a high level hundred percent, and the chances of
- 45:38Speaker 2: that being the case are very slim. Yeah, because people
- 45:40Speaker 2: are dirty as fuck.
- 45:42Speaker 1: I recommend just finding your cool group of people that
- 45:45Speaker 1: you love and training with them. Yeah, that's what I like.
- 45:47Speaker 2: This morning, one of the guys who's the main coach
- 45:50Speaker 2: is at it's a place called Legacy and Bourbank. He
- 45:52Speaker 2: always comes in and talks shit to me because he says,
- 45:54Speaker 2: I look like some fucking bald fighter. I don't know,
- 45:56Speaker 2: and so I want to go back and talk shit
- 45:58Speaker 2: to him. But he was rolling and he had this
- 46:00Speaker 2: dude on top of him with his legs open, and
- 46:02Speaker 2: I was just like, jeez, I couldn't do it. I
- 46:06Speaker 2: couldn't do it, man. Yeah. Just I get the striking,
- 46:11Speaker 2: I get the more tie the fighting, you know, but
- 46:14Speaker 2: the jiu jitsu is just just a special kind of dedication.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Isn't it weird that hobbies and sports have to feel
- 46:20Speaker 1: cool for you to be interested, like in a weird way,
- 46:23Speaker 1: Like I skated in my whole life, but I wonder
- 46:26Speaker 1: if how much percent of that was because like skateboarding
- 46:29Speaker 1: felt cool like it was.
- 46:30Speaker 2: It was during that era. It was like it was
- 46:32Speaker 2: the ship.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that Tony strikings and boxing feels cool,
- 46:37Speaker 1: like I don't.
- 46:37Speaker 2: It's a cool thing right now for sure. I feel
- 46:39Speaker 2: like and that you're right, Like I kind of feel
- 46:41Speaker 2: like mma. Like even my kid who just turned eighteen,
- 46:43Speaker 2: asked me, he's like he's a big UFC fan. He
- 46:45Speaker 2: was just like, hey, you know, can you see how
- 46:48Speaker 2: much of a cost to put me in? Because he
- 46:49Speaker 2: plays basketball and stuff, but he wants to do jiu jitsu. Yeah,
- 46:52Speaker 2: And I was like, you know, it's it's pretty gnarly.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I mean, I'm all for it because I know it.
- 46:58Speaker 2: You know, with any sort of martial arts, there's a
- 47:00Speaker 2: certain level of discipline that comes with it and camaraderie
- 47:02Speaker 2: and it's good for you, you know, for you, Like
- 47:04Speaker 2: you don't necessarily like do you do you have like
- 47:08Speaker 2: a I wouldn't say a Sinsey, but do you have
- 47:10Speaker 2: a like do you train like to like level up
- 47:13Speaker 2: in belts or you just kind of doing it strictly
- 47:15Speaker 2: as like a passive hobby, like we spar we hang out,
- 47:17Speaker 2: like I worked, I have a.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Coach and stuff. But it's yeah, there's no belts in
- 47:21Speaker 1: what I'm doing or anything. But uh yeah, there's no
- 47:24Speaker 1: real goal. I just love it. I'm only two years in.
- 47:27Speaker 2: But yeah, are you skating more or yeah? Trying to?
- 47:30Speaker 1: I took a little break there and I'm I'm I'm
- 47:33Speaker 1: trying to make like a at least like two days
- 47:36Speaker 1: a week. I mean, I have a fucking ramp at
- 47:37Speaker 1: my warehouse and use it, you know.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Like, dude, I don't know if you've been to a
- 47:41Speaker 2: Zoomies recently, but I went and they have the fucking
- 47:45Speaker 2: O g O Cyruses in there. Oh, the big Chunky Ones,
- 47:48Speaker 2: Big Chunky O Cyrus is the D three is there
- 47:50Speaker 2: in there, and they have like.
- 47:51Speaker 1: And they're making a comeback all like the ES shoes
- 47:54Speaker 1: like they have like yeah, Musca just dropped on with
- 47:58Speaker 1: I'm like.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Yo, this is the same fucking like they're just red.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It's almost like vintage Jordan's. Yeah, Like they're retroing all
- 48:05Speaker 2: these skate shoes from like when I was in high
- 48:07Speaker 2: school and in middle school. And it's just crazy to
- 48:09Speaker 2: see because even some of the like Balinciaga's, which I
- 48:13Speaker 2: think are fucking gross, but even like some of those
- 48:16Speaker 2: high end brands, they're just stealing. Like what these skate
- 48:19Speaker 2: brands are doing in the fucking late nineties early two.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Thousand, Well, I think it's dumb on there. Like I've
- 48:23Speaker 1: seen all the designer brands drop their twelve hundred dollars
- 48:26Speaker 1: basically Osiris y d threes, but like they don't if
- 48:30Speaker 1: they think they're gonna grab the poorer skate culture market
- 48:36Speaker 1: by doing that, those guys are like no, Like I
- 48:39Speaker 1: don't know, I think it's just a dumb It's like
- 48:40Speaker 1: maybe the people that want to bite on that skate
- 48:42Speaker 1: culture will wear them, but no skaters buying an eleven
- 48:46Speaker 1: hundred dollars pair of knockoff heavy they're like bricks too.
- 48:50Speaker 1: I've tried putting them on and they're fucking.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Like they're almost like, so what am I supposed to
- 48:54Speaker 2: do with these?
- 48:55Speaker 1: Like yeah, no, shoes are weird when you get into
- 48:57Speaker 1: high end, like they actually become uncomfortable. They're fucking I
- 49:02Speaker 1: don't know, like they they still like these I wear
- 49:05Speaker 1: these a lot. These are Saint Lauren, but they're the
- 49:07Speaker 1: simplest like designer show I could find. That feels like
- 49:11Speaker 1: a nice Vans.
- 49:12Speaker 2: You know what I mean.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but they still scuffed the same that I would
- 49:16Speaker 1: rather have a brand new pair of Vans every month
- 49:20Speaker 1: than having one of these scuffed up in a month
- 49:23Speaker 1: for a year, you know what I mean.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Sure, I haven't yet. I don't have any designer shoes.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I only have Jordan's and Dunks and Vans stay that way.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I've tried to dabble on them when I was building that,
- 49:34Speaker 1: like I was making my own shoe, and I just
- 49:36Speaker 1: I bought every single pair.
- 49:38Speaker 2: You know what's crazy is how how truly impossible it
- 49:42Speaker 2: feels to start a new shoe company. Oh it's almost
- 49:46Speaker 2: like an impenetratable market that it's like almost impossible to
- 49:50Speaker 2: get a market share to make it worth all of
- 49:51Speaker 2: the while and all of the overhead, because shoes are
- 49:54Speaker 2: not like there's T shirt brands that print to order, right, Yeah,
- 49:58Speaker 2: you can't do that with a shoe. Yeah, so, no
- 50:00Speaker 2: matter what, you're sitting on a size run. Yeah. So,
- 50:04Speaker 2: And I've seen friends of mine who have started independent
- 50:06Speaker 2: shoe companies that are fucking awful and they just eat
- 50:10Speaker 2: shit on it because it's like, dude, you had to
- 50:12Speaker 2: print out how you had to get it hovery many
- 50:14Speaker 2: pairs of these shoes made.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Dude, I know everything about this. It's there's a reason
- 50:18Speaker 1: why there's like six companies controlling the whole market. It's
- 50:21Speaker 1: fucking like a mold is five to fifteen thousand dollars
- 50:25Speaker 1: per size. So you go in and you got thirteen sizes,
- 50:28Speaker 1: you got half sizes, Like you do the math, Like
- 50:30Speaker 1: if you don't have half a million dollars, you're not
- 50:32Speaker 1: even in the game to even like try and then
- 50:34Speaker 1: where if they don't hit, like it's the whole thing.
- 50:36Speaker 1: So but we've like there's nothing really public about what
- 50:39Speaker 1: we were doing, but dude, we've like we're almost going, uh,
- 50:43Speaker 1: it's nothing visually looking like a Croc, but the Croc
- 50:47Speaker 1: business model is kind of what we're we're seeing something.
- 50:50Speaker 1: There's something there we're trying to make like the next
- 50:54Speaker 1: like what in ten years will be the next fans
- 50:57Speaker 1: or Air Force one, the simple everyday man.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Well, I was gonna say it's funny because like any
- 51:02Speaker 2: of the new shoes that have spiked up have been
- 51:04Speaker 2: Have you seen those like bubble slides? Oh yeah, super
- 51:07Speaker 2: cheap on Amazon. My kid has like nine pairs of
- 51:10Speaker 2: them because he sees them on YouTube and TikTok. And
- 51:12Speaker 2: so that's the most inexpensive basic. Same thing with the
- 51:16Speaker 2: croc like it's inexpensive basic. If like if you're going
- 51:19Speaker 2: to try to compete with like Jordan, like, good luck. Yeah,
- 51:24Speaker 2: you know what I mean. It's just it's not gonna
- 51:25Speaker 2: be easy. Yo. We got to stop the interview again

- 53:56Speaker 2: that promo code bootleg try for free for a month,
- 53:58Speaker 2: let's get back to the interview.
- 53:59Speaker 1: I think it's about simplicity for sure, price point, and yeah,
- 54:05Speaker 1: a real ability too.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Because people start new shoe companies and they try to
- 54:08Speaker 2: do too much.
- 54:09Speaker 1: That's what I was gonna bring up is everyone I
- 54:11Speaker 1: know that starts their own shoe company does way too
- 54:14Speaker 1: much and they try to be different, and then everyone
- 54:17Speaker 1: just there. Even if they do pop, they're cool for
- 54:19Speaker 1: a fucking month, and then no one cares and you're
- 54:21Speaker 1: stuck with a bunch of molds. And it's like, I
- 54:23Speaker 1: think you got to like simplify it, but be unique.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Like what is actually missing in this in the shoe industry,
- 54:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 54:30Speaker 2: So any with any industry, I think people should ask
- 54:33Speaker 2: themselves that question. You know what I'm saying.
- 54:36Speaker 1: I'm definitely gonna send you one of the samples coming
- 54:38Speaker 1: because I want to see you. I need some opinions
- 54:40Speaker 1: from all different cultures of shit.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Let me know, man, I will I will, I will
- 54:44Speaker 2: wear a twelve twelve. I'm a twelve, gotcha depends on
- 54:48Speaker 2: if they're the Asian sizes, because if you ever get
- 54:50Speaker 2: bootleg shoes, oh really, they got the Chinese size, the
- 54:53Speaker 2: Chinese size.
- 54:54Speaker 1: This is not this is an actual seventeen.
- 54:57Speaker 2: No, No, they're smaller. Oh really yeah, Like if you
- 54:59Speaker 2: get like a Chinese extra large, it's like a medium.
- 55:03Speaker 2: Really yeah, I didn't know that. Yeah, it's crazy. It's
- 55:07Speaker 2: like if you're like a fat fuck yeah and you
- 55:10Speaker 2: want to wear fake Gucci, good luck you're they're not.
- 55:14Speaker 2: They don't They're not making Chinese five XL.
- 55:16Speaker 1: So if you see a fat person wearing Gucci.
- 55:19Speaker 2: School, you know, and you're like, they didn't make that
- 55:21Speaker 2: shirt that big. They didn't make that shirt that big.
- 55:24Speaker 2: That's another thing. I saw my boy glasses Blow and
- 55:27Speaker 2: he was doing this interview and he's talking about Rick Ross,
- 55:29Speaker 2: who's a big guy, and he was like, and this
- 55:32Speaker 2: is before Rick Ross lost all his weight. But he
- 55:35Speaker 2: pointed out, he was like, fam, everyone's wearing fake shit glue.
- 55:40Speaker 2: We don't even make the shirt in the size Rick
- 55:42Speaker 2: Ross wears. Like, they don't make it. They're not making
- 55:46Speaker 2: it just for him. You're yeah, which is crazy. I
- 55:49Speaker 2: was gonna say for you man, like talk about you know,
- 55:53Speaker 2: I think it's important for people to find things that
- 55:57Speaker 2: they can gravitate to that kind of you know, I
- 56:01Speaker 2: guess double as a form of therapy, you know what
- 56:04Speaker 2: I mean. Obviously you're you're you're sparring, you're doing your mma. Shit,
- 56:08Speaker 2: you skate stuff that is obviously away from work because
- 56:13Speaker 2: you're I'm sure you're a workaholic. I'm a workaholic. We
- 56:15Speaker 2: both bust our ass like for you talk about the
- 56:17Speaker 2: therapeutic like release that you get from like some of
- 56:21Speaker 2: the hobbies that you've picked up, and you know, obviously
- 56:23Speaker 2: we've seen.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Probably, I mean, it's all of it. Fucking running is
- 56:29Speaker 1: a big one, but I think sucks, dude, until you
- 56:33Speaker 1: get into it. I fucking hated running. I hated runners.
- 56:36Speaker 1: I thought the whole thing was so lame. I think
- 56:38Speaker 1: I'm a skater. I'm short, I built like a cylinder block,
- 56:42Speaker 1: Like you go do something fun.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Why do you have Brooks shoes on? Yeah?
- 56:47Speaker 1: And oh, speaking of that, my first like three months
- 56:50Speaker 1: of getting into running, I wore Vans until my fucking
- 56:54Speaker 1: knees and hips and everything started like random vans. Even
- 56:59Speaker 1: right now, I think I'm running in a basketball shoe.
- 57:01Speaker 1: I like, I don't know, I just like I.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Know, people like to live.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I can't wear a running shoe.
- 57:06Speaker 2: You can't wear a running shoe.
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'm not a running shoe guy.
- 57:08Speaker 2: There's those like really fat shoes. Are they called hookahs
- 57:11Speaker 2: or hookahs? Yeah?
- 57:12Speaker 1: See, I bought a pair of those. I just felt
- 57:14Speaker 1: goofy in them.
- 57:14Speaker 2: They definitely look goofy. You you felt goofy because you
- 57:17Speaker 2: looked goofy in them. Yeah, But the practicality of them
- 57:20Speaker 2: is supposed to be you can run in them, and
- 57:22Speaker 2: I do know fat people like my boy jelly Roll.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Shout out my brother jelly Roll. Oh, he's the man
- 57:26Speaker 2: that is one of his go to shoes really because
- 57:28Speaker 2: they're very comfy.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I think goes back to what I was saying with
- 57:30Speaker 1: the sparring in box. It's like, I if I don't
- 57:33Speaker 1: feel it's not about looking cool, but if I don't
- 57:35Speaker 1: feel cool in what like like it's not even cool,
- 57:38Speaker 1: it's not the right word, but just like yeah you
- 57:40Speaker 1: like I remember I go skate and you put on
- 57:42Speaker 1: like a dope out figure, Like I'm gonna feel cool
- 57:44Speaker 1: and I have to fucking feel that when I'm going
- 57:47Speaker 1: running too. It's like, I don't know, you.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Guys should do a Apple watch band, a Sunday one. Yeah,
- 57:53Speaker 2: I think so?
- 57:54Speaker 1: Do they change because we stayed away from iPhone cases
- 57:56Speaker 1: and shit for the reason.
- 57:58Speaker 2: They they don't so no to get like no, not
- 58:03Speaker 2: in the same way an iPhone changes. Okay, so like
- 58:07Speaker 2: I bought this, these bands I think can fit like
- 58:10Speaker 2: three generations of Oh nice now that the Apple watch
- 58:14Speaker 2: bands are pretty pretty universal because they really only changed
- 58:17Speaker 2: the are they changing it big time? No? Yeah, yeah,
- 58:22Speaker 2: until you decide to do a Sunday one and then there.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Where they make a little incision and then that goes
- 58:26Speaker 1: into your risk.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Yeah, these things just slide in and out, but.
- 58:30Speaker 1: You're man, take a photo of your wrist so that
- 58:31Speaker 1: I remember it.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Is a good idea.
- 58:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be nice.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Yeah. I think the pantone and I love just yeah
- 58:40Speaker 2: in a green what I should have popped any outfit? Yeah?
- 58:45Speaker 2: Was there a color that you almost like? Was it
- 58:47Speaker 2: always like greenish blue? Or was there ever like a
- 58:51Speaker 2: peachy red or something that y'all fucked with?
- 58:53Speaker 1: No, it was always green. It came from army men.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Like when I was a kid, I always played with
- 58:58Speaker 1: like toy army men, and that was like originally where
- 59:01Speaker 1: I really liked it. And then I just also did
- 59:04Speaker 1: a lot of research on has anyone coined a color
- 59:07Speaker 1: like this? Because I really wanted people to see that color.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Like, the only brand that I've ever seen do it
- 59:13Speaker 2: is Cookies. You know Cookies, Yeah, Cookies has the Cookies blue. Yeah, okay,
- 59:17Speaker 2: which they've done a really good job. Like if you
- 59:19Speaker 2: go to a Cookie's dispensary, the building is blue. Yeah right,
- 59:22Speaker 2: but it's like a specific, just unique blue. I'm assuming
- 59:27Speaker 2: did you guys just throw paint together until you got
- 59:29Speaker 2: the color or was it.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Like it started digital, so everything was from graphic design, right,
- 59:35Speaker 1: and then the first thing that it transferred to was fabric,
- 59:39Speaker 1: So doing a cotton T shirt, which was fucking.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Kind of don't know like how it's gonna like, look.
- 59:45Speaker 1: When you one hundred percent, it's dude, like like there's
- 59:49Speaker 1: you know, fifteen of these shopping bags at our placed,
- 59:52Speaker 1: all in slightly different shades. It's everything's a battle until
- 59:56Speaker 1: you figure it out. But then it's like, say you
- 59:59Speaker 1: figure out cardboard or card stock. Now it's like for
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: any other item that needs that, you've got packaging figured out.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: I figured out.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Yeah, So we're kind of building like a Pantone book
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: for our company, so it's easier.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: You mentioned buying your house fixer upper. Congratulations, thank you,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: since you obviously sold your part of Full Sand and Milk,
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: what has been the most ignorant purchase you've made, And,
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: if not ignorant, just the biggest outside of your home,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: because your home is obviously your home. That's that's a
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: fucking nut for sure, dude.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Literally nothing. I'm trying to think I have not gone
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: crazy or you haven't bought The home was the thing.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: That's all I wanted. I wanted a home, and uh,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, I mean, everything is just I mean,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: I've got over a million invested into my company.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Just reinvesting.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, I don't know. I don't really need a
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: lot of shit. I got a truck, but I was
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: still in the company when I got that. I don't
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: old you g Wagon Chevy too, Yeah, I had a
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: g Wagon.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Hold the tax right off six pounds.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that was sick. I got a g waggon off
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: of what's it called auctions?
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: Yeah? I got it for like ninety one grand, drove
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: it for two years, got to experience the whole g
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: wagon and you get to write it off right yeah yeah,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: and then sold it for a hunter k two years later.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Made money on it, money to keep it. Hey, I
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: got to Everybody always talks about it. It is one
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: of those cards you grew up looking at you. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: so you just got a big Chevy truck.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Now yeah, got a C ten and then a Teslas
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: and every day, how do you like the Tesla? I'm
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: up and down on it. I mean, I think you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: got a Model X. I always get this wrong. I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: have the The doors don't go up. That's the why
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the model s not.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: I think. I hy, well, the X is the one
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: where the doors go up. Okay, have the Y?
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, have the Y because it's like stubbier. It's
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: almost like SUV kind of you know.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: The X is like the actual SUV, but the doors
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: pop open. The X is like the super expensive one.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Yeah I don't have that.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think I why I've been extremely on
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: the fence about about it. Man, I got test drove one,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: and I'm like, this is cool. It's also very like
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: it has to be weird to get used to driving
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: that car because there's buttons instead like like the stuff
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: you're used to, like convention.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: The breaking system, you is weird.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: It's just everything's just different, right, So it's like.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: But once you get used to it, it does become
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: It's not even it's not in the realm of cars,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: it's just once you have one, every other car feels weird.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: It's like weird.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I was gonna say, because like even like saving money
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: on gas, it's like, do you notice I mean you
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: probably you're you're doing pretty well, But I think, like,
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: do you think the everyday person notices that, like they
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: don't have to fill up their tank, But but.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Spaghetto fucking charger here. You just plug it in and
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: every time you pull in.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: I say, but then if you go on a road trip,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: you gotta kind of.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I've had there's times where you're like, fuck
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: this tesla. I've been stranded in Arizona and shit before
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: it's like, because the thing is when that thing shuts
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: off and runs out of juice.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: You've ran out.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, I had. I had as worse as
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: you can get where the point where it ran out
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and we it's you know, it's just got the hazards on.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: But it took so long for a truck to come. Yeah,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Like even the backup little battery died, so now you
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: can't even shut the windows. You can't even even if
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I got it, got it to a charger, and I
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: couldn't even get it to start charging because you can't
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: get the door open. It was like an eight hour thing.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: It was like I was like, why is this even
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: a thing? Like why would they make it where this
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: can happen?
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: I would just be like, fuck this car. I'm getting
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: a fucking I'm gonna drive my Chevy everywhere.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, every gas guzzling car you see going by,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: You're like, I fucking just wish I could.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Just see that. You might have just sealed the deal
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: for me.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Every day la driving though, I will say it's nice.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Driving around like and like plugging in a night. I'm
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: sure it's fucking wonderful.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: Have another car for road trips and ship like that.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Jesus man, that's crazy. I was gonna ask you there
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: when you were with those guys, Steany wasn't around right.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: No, No, I think he was working for.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Steve.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: No the he might have worked for Steve too at
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: a certain point. God, why am I blanket on his name?
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Jesus the.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: He started the podcast with Kyle John.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Is that his name?
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: No? No, he was a host on the full sentence show.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: Oh Bob Menry Bob.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: That guy's a fucking sick ass dude. Yeah, he's hilarious.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: He's like, he's just like unstable, like he's a wild boy.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Oh them, are you cold? Are you freezing? Usually you
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: wouldn't complain of something was blowing on you. Hey, You're like, hey, bro,
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: it's it's too cold in you. No, that's crazy. Yeah.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: So he was working for Bob initially? Yeah, did you did?
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: You were able to kind of like I watching that podcast,
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: by the way, made me realize he's not like a
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: real like og like milk fan. Yeah.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Yeah, he didn't know too much.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: I was like, how do I know more about this
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: ship than this kid? He works for him? At least
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: I if I was working for or if I was
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: a part of that podcast, I would I would be
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: well versed. Yeah, I would have to go back and
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: do my research. You know. But did you game him
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: up at all? Because he gets a ton of hate,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Like people genuinely don't gravitate towards him in a positive manner. Yeah,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: but I mean he was nice to me. No, he
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: seems like a nice dude. But I'm saying, did you
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: did you give him any advice. Did you guys have
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: any like side talks, like, hey man, how are you
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: liking this? Like because he is kind of like an
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: unofficial milk Boy now or official however you want to
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: look at it. Mm hmmm, he's part of the podcast. Yeah,
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: I get confused, what's what at this point?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Anymore? I didn't. I didn't have too much of a
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: like deep talk with him, but we had a small
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: talk and he was cool. But yeah, I don't even
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: know if that's like I sometimes I don't know if
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: it's like a persona he's playing and then people will
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: come at him for that, or if it's like I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: think he I don't think it is. I think he's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: new to the game. That's what I think. That's all
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: I can read. And it happened for him quick, yeah,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: And I think he's that going out.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: All got dumped on his plate very fast. And I
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: think anytime that happens to anybody, no matter where you're at,
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: it maybe be the music industry, entertainment industry a lot.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: You know, certain people aren't built, and I'm saying he's not.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: But I'm saying, like, when that much clout and fame
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: gets just handed to you quickly. Man, that's a lot.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: No one can prepare you for the not think you
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: just got.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: To kind of get through it.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: That's why I would be the last person to go
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: on the pod and fucking take shots.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: At What about Celin? Do you ever you keep in
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: contact with Selima at all?
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: A little bit, Yeah, no one, no one's It's not
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: like a weekly thing or anything, but uh, not all friendly.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: He trains a jiu jitsu, so we've talked a few times.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: That's joke, gets some sparring in or something.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: But are you going to try to do Shithold again?
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I think, uh, later down the road it'd be cool.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Grant.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Now, I'm worrying about get this company profitable, get everything.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: You know. We're just grinding right now.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: That's all we're doing. So and my problem is that
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I start too many projects, so I'm trying to like
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: narrow in on what I'm what I'm focused. But uh,
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: I think it would just be cool, even if it's
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: not like, uh, you know, it doesn't make sense financially
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: to do it. It's just if we get to come
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: to a certain point for the OG fans, and I
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: would love doing it, Like I think it's so you
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: enjoy it. Yeah, just doing another season and building that
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: team out.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: And you guys like you're you're I mean, like you
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: know when you when you did it last time, you
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: were very much. It was a high production value situation. Yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: you guys were like there was actors. I mean, I
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: think of the we were talking about the Grahams guy
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: and there was the one episode where you were at
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: a biker bar.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, chuck late, oh yeah, check hell, which was
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: fucking crazy.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: But I think that like that's the way to do it,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Like I see, I mean, did you see this kid
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: that just got shot doing a prank in the mall?
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: Heard about this fucking crazy and like he's doing like
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: some Salim type of shit, like yeah, just.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: Getting too close to someone's personal spaceical tell him to
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: stop it. Does it again, You'll be careful. And the
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: dude pulls out of gun and shoots him. Fuck did
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: he die? He did not die. But the dude who
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: shot him, they dropped the charges because they're like, he
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: warned you like leaving alone, and you didn't. And I
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: think it might have been in Florida. Now, if that
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: happened in California, that he be fucked yeah, Texas or Florida,
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: you're probably Yeah, in California, if someone breaks into your
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: house and you shoot them, you're fucked. You gotta kindly
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: ask them to leave. Yeah, I don't like that about it.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I love California, but I love even being a homeowner.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Now I'm a little like exactly this should be like
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: my domain. I fuck it.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: And a financially successful person, you probably have to do
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: a ton of gymnastics to you know, make sure you
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: keep your money. But you come from Canada, which from
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: what I understand, there's high taxes in Canada, which is
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: why there's great health infrastructure in certain things. Right.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't even remember. Is it is it province
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: by province in Canada? I think it is.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: All I know is Ontario is definitely.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Nobody likes Trudeau, is what I've heard.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I've heard that too, And I know zero about.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Need to apologics I specifically. All I know is you
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: can get free health care and people don't like Justin Trudeau.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: And yeah, and he was wearing black face and Jordan
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: Peterson is, uh, something's going on with his social media?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: That ship looks I don't know enough to talk about it,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: but because I like Jordan Peterson, but.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: No, I love Jordan Peterson. He's I think I'm.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Stripping them of his ship for like he's just talking just.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: For showing his perspective on like podcasts. And I think
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: in Canada they're about to implement a law that like
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: can there's some sort of law that.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: There that the ship Joe Rogan was talking about, it's
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: like the essentially where they affects your life if you
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: say talk about ship that like they don't want social
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: social credit score shit, Joe Rogan exactly. They're doing that
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: with Jordan Peterson. If I'm Jordan Peterson, I'm moving out
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: of Canada. Yeah, I'm moving to They love him in Texas.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: What yeah, yeah yeah Jesus.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Did you guys ever like like, uh, some off the record, Well,
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: I we'll talk about it. We'll delete it if you
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: don't want to talk about it. But when you had
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: initially broken away, you and I were talking about you
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: wanting to start maybe like a Netflix style content company
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: mm hmmm. And you were throwing around some names that
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: you were in talks with a guy like Tim Dillon.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: This was early on before Tim Dillon was fucking huge. Yeah, whatever,
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: happened with that, and if you don't want to talk
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: about it's fine, we'll cut it out.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: But I know that was kind of thing where you
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about, though, I'm trying to think
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: of where that conversation was.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: We were talking about so many ideas well. We were
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: just like we were doing the pranks and shit, and
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: you were like, man, make you know I'm going to
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: be doing like you wanted to kind of have your
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: own on demand content shit, and you said that you
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: were going to start working with like certain comedians and shit.
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: And I think Tim Dillon might have been one of
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: them that.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Might have been under that might have been under Nelu.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: I think it was. Yeah, for sure, it was for
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: sure because this was around that same time where you
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: were still filming on the full Send channel.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I believe, right, Yeah, yeah, we were. I think that
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: was building, uh pretty much like an R rated YouTube
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: at the time.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: Was so kind of like rumble, yeah, but not so.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Much that everyone could upload on it. It was just
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: another place you can go maybe it is a paywall,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: like we were looking at a bunch of things of
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: just because I think at the time when we were
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: talking with that, it was we were getting strikes. There
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: was there was a lot of shit going on where
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: YouTube didn't look like a future home for what we
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: were doing. And it was like and we had a
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: huge audience, and we were like, why don't we just
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: because what happens?
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: They do they do to Steve? Do you guys? Yeah? Exactly,
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: It's like, what do you did? You guys? Ever get
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: any of your because I always wonder if you get
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: one of those strikes, is it even possible to get
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: it removed?
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: I can't remember. I think maybe time amount of time. Yeah,
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I think it's like yeah if but I don't know.
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I know that once a channel gets flagged and striked.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: It's none of the ship got hit in terms of.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Probably some copyright ship and stuff off, but nothing nothing serious.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever gotten a strike. That's dope. Well,
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: what so for you? Now? Where can people support what
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: you're doing? Obviously if you with ig the website, how
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: often are you dropping? Can how can people support just
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: on YouTube?
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: If you want to like follow the story we're building,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: like you said, it's kind of cool to to and
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: even right now if you jump in, I feel like
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: it's still the beginning stages. And it will be cool
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: in five ten years to be like damn I saw
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: like the first people like grinding this out. But every
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Sunday we upload an episode on the Sunday channel on
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: YouTube and yeah Sunday Bloody Sunday Instagram.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: What's what's your guys website?
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Bloody Sunday dot com?
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Was that hard to get? Yeah?
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: How much was it? Twenty five grand? It's actually too bad?
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: Twenty five Yeah? Who would you have to buy it
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: off of? Fuck? I don't know, like what what do
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: you know what it was before?
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: No? I think it was just someone sitting on domains
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: such a great hustle.
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: By the way, yeah, yo that when you buy up
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: domains super select on Hustle. Oh yeah, because there's so
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: many like wet like domains that you would think there's
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: some like you will go to like the you'll like
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: type it Like I remember one time I was just
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: tweaking with my boy, not literally tweaking on drugs, but
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: we're just going to different like obvious dot coms. Yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: they're like, oh, there's not like someone's about to eat
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: whenever this comes out, like yeah, buddy Sunday, Yeah, we
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: should start doing that. Cyrus start buying you ur else
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: just sitting on him.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I got a quote for uh Sunday dot com, which
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: is fucking obviously hardest showing figures. It was uh they
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: said five hundred K and up would be you'd have
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: to be like in that ballpark to even start the conversation.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: But obviously at the time, like I'm not, there's no
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: need to do it.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: And right now Sunday dot Com is nothing.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we have Sunday Studios dot com, but I mean, like,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: but Sunday right now, people who own.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: It, If you go to Sunday dot com, is it something?
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: You know?
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: What's funny is Sunday dot Com isn't anything. But if
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: you type in Sunday dot com, it redirects you to
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: like another word Sunday. And it's like this that grass
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: lawn company that's called Sunday. There's like a grass fertilizer company.
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: Oh, so they an't even using it.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: It's I don't know, Yeah, I don't even know, because
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: it's it redirects to another website. But how does that
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: even make sense? Like it should go to Sunday dot
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: com and be like this domains for sale, but it
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: instantly redirects so maybe that maybe they own both and
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: they haven't.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: Five hundred k. Eventually you're gonna have to buy it
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: if you guys get pack off.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: I think, but i'd have to find the I'd be
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: more interested in the app store. That'd be more for
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: my ten year planet. What I want to build here.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I think that something kind of like what we were
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: talking about. It's like something in the world of building
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: your own subscription service type thing. And uh and I
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: think Sunday would be a great name for that.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: So great name. Yeah, I mean if you were to,
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: if you were to kind of say, hey, Sunday is everything.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: We have a platform, and the platform is Sunday dot com. Yeah.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Just the simplicity of that.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: Sunday on the app store. Fucking it's just a color,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: no logo, like I think it there is, Like I mean,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: there's so many spider webs to where I see this
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: going in ten years. But yeah, that's definitely on the
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: on the horizon.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Well, listen, like you said, don't take on too much
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: at once. Yeah, yeah, one thing at of time. You
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: have a lot going on. All right, let's go support.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: I appreciate you pulling back up man, this guy for
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: a long time was our You know that that interview
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: you did for me, man was our most viewed interview
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: for I think it might still be really the single
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: most viewed upload, the clip of you talking about leaving
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: NELK was this. I think it's the single most viewed
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: clip that's not a short on our channel still but
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: a great place right time though. I think it was
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: just Yeah, Man, good conversation. I appreciate you coming through again. Man,
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Yeah shit, congrats on everything, dude. It's just dope to
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: kind of see, like, you know, I like when people
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: reinvent themselves, you know, and I think that the brand
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: is super fly man, So thanks man, appreciate it's not cheesy.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: You're doing it the right way. And uh, yeah, you
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: bring in some gear and stuff. And how often do
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: you dropping like new pieces for people to buy, is it?
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be every month there's a new collection and
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: uh and then we also do a giveaway for one
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Sunday skew every month.
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: And then you guys like buried like a fucking giant
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: wood box.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Oh shit, we get creative with it. So we we
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: literally just factored as a tax on the company, meaning
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: like we want to create good culture and cool shit
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: and fun shit.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: So you could write it off like well, not even
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: the right off.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: It's almost like I'm more saying a tax as in
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: like it's important for what I'm doing here. So like
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: if I have to buy ten thousand dollars worth of
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Sunday hoodies and just give them away for free, it's
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: like fuck it, Like, yeah, you guys make it berried
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: like a giant wooden crate or two or three. Yeah,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: in the desert, just just like a beast of a
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: fucking crate. Yeah, and it's only for the like on
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: bloody sugn dot com. When you go there, it's just
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: a close site. But if you sign up for email
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: in SMS, that's the only way you get a part.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Of it, so you can get a heads up where
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: it might be. Yeah.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: So like still that month was surprise was you got
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: three clues slowly throughout the week where you had to
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: and then everyone was trying to find out where it was.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Is it always in Cali that giveaway?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Yeah, No, it's anyway, can be anywhere.
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, because I know you guys are you know

- 1:17:22Speaker 2: it was?
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: It was real like northern north from here. I can't
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: even remember. It was some dooms.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: Oh the dunes? Was that? Maybe dunes everywhere. But there's
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: some popular dudes. Glamous is the main one that's like
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: really big.
