  - Welcome to the divine five one five podcast.
• 1:38
  - Here is today's prayer.
• 1:46
  - Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
• 1:49
  - daily prayer with Valerie Rocha.
• 1:52
  - Here is today's prayer topic where we are
• 1:54
  - addressing how to live what you read in
• 1:57
  - the bible every day.
• 1:59
  - Key scripture comes from Matthew seven twenty four
• 2:02
  - and reads,
• 2:03
  - everyone who hears these words of mine and
• 2:05
  - puts them into practice is like a wise
• 2:08
  - man who built his house
• 2:10
  - on the rock.
• 2:13
  - Well,
• 2:15
  - it's impossible
• 2:17
  - to leave bible study inspired and still live
• 2:19
  - the rest of the day unchanged.
• 2:23
  - This is intentional application.
• 2:27
  - We close the bible,
• 2:29
  - return to our routines, and sometimes
• 2:32
  - forget the very truth God showed us that
• 2:35
  - morning.
• 2:37
  - It's as if
• 2:39
  - what we learned got plucked right out.
• 2:44
  - Application
• 2:45
  - requires
• 2:47
  - intentionality.
• 2:49
  - If we don't decide how we're going to
• 2:52
  - live,
• 2:53
  - what we've learned,
• 2:55
  - even meaningful scripture can remain only information.
• 3:00
  - Prayer turns biblical truth into personal application.
• 3:05
  - Try this.
• 3:07
  - After studying, ask,
• 3:09
  - father, what does obedience
• 3:11
  - to this look like
• 3:13
  - today?
• 3:16
  - Maybe it's apologizing.
• 3:19
  - Maybe it's waiting.
• 3:24
  - Maybe it's speaking differently,
• 3:26
  - serving someone,
• 3:29
  - trusting instead of worrying.
• 3:33
  - What prayer does is it helps us identify
• 3:36
  - the next step
• 3:38
  - and gives us strength to take it.
• 3:41
  - That being said,
• 3:43
  - let's pray.
• 3:46
  - Father god, don't allow your word to stop
• 3:49
  - at my understanding.
• 3:51
  - Show us how to live what you teach
• 3:54
  - us.
• 3:55
  - Let scripture shape the way we speak,
• 3:58
  - make decisions,
• 3:59
  - handle conflict,
• 4:01
  - manage responsibilities,
• 4:02
  - and treat people.
• 4:04
  - Give us the courage to take practical steps
• 4:07
  - of obedience
• 4:08
  - and make our life evidence that your word
• 4:11
  - is alive
• 4:12
  - and active within us, and we will bless
• 4:14
  - you in Jesus' name.
• 4:17
  - Before ending your bible
• 4:19
  - bible study today,
• 4:22
  - write down,
• 4:25
  - father,
• 4:26
  - today, I will live this scripture by.
• 4:30
  - Then the fun part,
• 4:32
  - finish the sentence.
• 4:34
  - It's faith and practical application.
• 4:39

  - And if these September prayers are helping you
• 4:51
  - put God's word into practice,
• 4:53
  - share one with someone else who may benefit
• 4:55
  - from this journey also.
• 4:57
  - And as always, remember,
• 4:59
  - there's room at the throne.
