- 0:02Speaker 1: Wake your ass up, fool.
- 0:04Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich. What's crackin' like?
- 0:07Speaker 3: And this is the big boss dog, Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Bang, boom, what you gonna do?
- 0:11Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich.
- 0:13Speaker 2: We're not talking about Ren 1010.
- 0:14Speaker 4: We're not talking about Lassie. It's the one and only dog, y'all.
- 0:17Speaker 5: The classy, sassy, big Snoopy Deagle Double Jizzle.
- 0:20Speaker 4: In your face to be and in the place to be.
- 0:22Speaker 4: And you're listening to John Jay and Rich. Wake your
- 0:24Speaker 4: ass up. Rich, today is National what?
- 0:28Speaker 2: It is National Great American Pot Pie Day. Ooh, that
- 0:33Speaker 2: is my favorite of all the things is a good
- 0:36Speaker 2: chicken pot pie next to a shepherd's pie. National Snack
- 0:40Speaker 2: Stick Day, basically permission to eat Slim Jim meat sticks
- 0:43Speaker 2: at 7 a.m. Created in 2016 by Clements Sausage Company.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's also, John Jay, you and me both are big
- 0:49Speaker 2: members of this. It is Restless Leg Awareness Day.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh. That's the most uncomfortable thing ever. I
- 0:57Speaker 6: get RLS sometimes, too.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 6: Well, that's a bummer.
- 1:00Speaker 7: I do not. But sitting next to John Jay, who
- 1:02Speaker 7: has it very bad during a, what was that, eight-hour
- 1:06Speaker 7: music event, was brutal. Because my whole chair was shaking
- 1:10Speaker 7: the whole time.
- 1:11Speaker 8: I've had strangers tell me to turn around in front
- 1:14Speaker 8: at a game or a sporting event and tell me,
- 1:16Speaker 8: would you mind stopping?
- 1:17Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh my God, I'm so sorry.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It's terrible. Did you know in Chinese culture, I had
- 1:21Speaker 2: an acupuncture because I got acupuncture for my leg and
- 1:24Speaker 2: I had the restless leg moving like, and they said
- 1:27Speaker 2: in Chinese culture, that means that you're chasing money away
- 1:29Speaker 2: from you. So try to be still.
- 1:30Speaker 6: Stop it.
- 1:31Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 1:32Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It's also Go With Your Gut Day and National Apple
- 1:36Speaker 2: Cider Vinegar Day, which gives us an excuse to discuss
- 1:39Speaker 2: the approximately nine billion things the Internet claims apple cider
- 1:42Speaker 2: vinegar fixes. And I don't know about fixing any of those.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And lastly, Celebrate Bisexuality Day.
- 1:51Speaker 4: All right. Well, I have something to tell you.
- 1:54Speaker 8: Listen to this. A couple of days ago, I posted
- 1:58Speaker 8: this text. My wife sent my son Dutch. Right, because
- 2:02Speaker 8: my youngest son, Dutch, is a sophomore at the University
- 2:04Speaker 8: of Arizona. And he's been spending money on her Venmo.
- 2:09Speaker 4: She has a Venmo. I don't have a Venmo.
- 2:10Speaker 8: My wife has Venmo. And spending money. And she saw
- 2:15Speaker 8: that his account was empty, so she gave him $ 100.
- 2:17Speaker 8: And in the text message, you can see it because
- 2:19Speaker 8: it was pretty big.
- 2:21Speaker 4: She's pretty much telling him off, right? I saw Peyton
- 2:23Speaker 4: made a comment.
- 2:24Speaker 10: Yeah, I told him because she was like, no alcohol,
- 2:26Speaker 10: no weed.
- 2:27Speaker 6: And I was like, well, I got you, so.
- 2:29Speaker 8: No leap the lines. That was a big one. I
- 2:31Speaker 8: keep getting messaged about what leap the lines is. You
- 2:33Speaker 8: know what leap the line is?
- 2:33Speaker 10: Yeah, that's just like when you pay to get to
- 2:35Speaker 10: the front of the bar. But like, yeah, you wouldn't
- 2:37Speaker 10: catch me dead doing that.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I would never do that either. I'm surprised he does that.
- 2:40Speaker 6: I would never.
- 2:41Speaker 8: So the mystery continues because let me tell you what
- 2:43Speaker 8: happened after that. The text change continues and there's a
- 2:47Speaker 8: picture of a Venmo of $ 20 paid to a woman
- 2:51Speaker 8: named Lisa Cheese.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Lisa Cheese.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Lisa Cheese. Did you see this, Kyle?
- 2:55Speaker 7: I did.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Do you know who Lisa Cheese is?
- 2:57Speaker 7: I do not know. She's someone famous. I just thought
- 2:59Speaker 7: it was like a girl at school.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Paying $ 20 to a girl at school.
- 3:02Speaker 11: Lisa Cheese.
- 3:03Speaker 6: Sounds right about the price for an eighth.
- 3:05Speaker 8: Then she goes, my brain is going, that's who his
- 3:08Speaker 8: dealer is. That's who he's buying stuff from. The next
- 3:11Speaker 8: one is somebody named Leon Gwynn. $ 10 to Leon Gwynn.
- 3:16Speaker 8: So my wife, I left here and I'm driving home.
- 3:18Speaker 8: My wife, she says to Dutch on the thread, who
- 3:21Speaker 8: is this? And he goes, I don't know who that is.
- 3:23Speaker 8: And so my wife gets a call through when I'm leaving.
- 3:26Speaker 8: We need to talk about Dutch. And then she's like,
- 3:28Speaker 8: who are these people he's spending money with? And I'm like,
- 3:30Speaker 8: is it, you know, was he buying some stuff illegally?
- 3:34Speaker 7: Is it his plug?
- 3:35Speaker 8: She says, do you think he's paying for sex? And
- 3:39Speaker 8: I'm like, well, first of all.
- 3:42Speaker 4: I don't think he has to pay for sex because
- 3:44Speaker 4: I think he's got a lot of, he's got a
- 3:46Speaker 4: lot of swag. Second of all, is it $ 20 to
- 3:49Speaker 4: pay for sex? He's vending $ 20. Maybe he had a coupon.
- 3:53Speaker 7: I was thinking that sounded like a little too affordable.
- 3:56Speaker 10: Unless he's like going and like getting like massages and
- 3:59Speaker 10: he's tipping after.
- 4:01Speaker 2: For $ 20.
- 4:01Speaker 6: $ 20 tip for a little.
- 4:03Speaker 4: So now here's what I'm thinking. Now, again, I don't know.
- 4:04Speaker 8: We're just two parents, naive, having a conversation.
- 4:08Speaker 4: She's worried about our son. Yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 8: So she's like, what's the $ 20 for? What's the $ 10?
- 4:12Speaker 8: And I'm thinking, and I don't know how this works.
- 4:15Speaker 8: Is it paying for the morning after pill?
- 4:18Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 4:18Speaker 6: No, that's very expensive. That's like 50 bucks.
- 4:20Speaker 4: 50 bucks for the morning after pill? Yeah. So I'm
- 4:22Speaker 4: just like, I don't know, Blake. So I'm driving.
- 4:25Speaker 8: I'm in the car driving and she's like frantic about
- 4:28Speaker 8: Lisa Cheese. And I'm like, what kind of name is
- 4:30Speaker 8: Lisa Cheese?
- 4:31Speaker 6: Fake one.
- 4:31Speaker 4: So I'm like, so I'm Googling. I'm at a red light.
- 4:33Speaker 4: I Google Lisa Cheese. I can't find it. I go
- 4:35Speaker 4: on Instagram, Lisa Cheese. I can't find it.
- 4:37Speaker 8: I'm looking for Lisa Cheese. So I said, Blake, I
- 4:39Speaker 8: don't have Venmo. I go, so go to the Venmo.
- 4:41Speaker 8: When did it happen? And she's like, yesterday. Now, if
- 4:45Speaker 8: you guys remember, that day was also the day that
- 4:48Speaker 8: she called 911 because she thought there was a gas
- 4:50Speaker 8: leak in the house.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 2: So she's already fired up.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Yeah. So I go, when did it happen? She's like, yesterday.
- 4:56Speaker 8: I'm like, okay, and I'm trying to think about how
- 4:58Speaker 8: it happened. Okay, so that was going on in our life.
- 4:59Speaker 8: I don't know what Dutch was doing when the fire
- 5:01Speaker 8: department came.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Well, long story short, she all of a sudden goes, oh,
- 5:05Speaker 4: my God, I know who Lisa Cheese is.
- 5:07Speaker 7: Who?
- 5:09Speaker 4: I tipped her $ 20 because she gave me a pedicure. What?
- 5:14Speaker 9: Oh.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Why Lisa Cheese?
- 5:15Speaker 7: The whole time it was Blake?
- 5:17Speaker 4: It was Blake Venmoing the lady that gave her a pedicure.
- 5:21Speaker 4: And guess what? Leon Gwynn, who she gave $ 10 to,
- 5:24Speaker 4: is the guy that did her manicure.
- 5:27Speaker 8: The whole time, Dutch just messaged me. Dutch is like, Dad,
- 5:30Speaker 8: I don't know who Lisa Cheese is. I don't know
- 5:33Speaker 8: who Lisa, and I'm like, I know who it is now.
- 5:35Speaker 8: And I'm like, you're going to die when I tell
- 5:36Speaker 8: you who Lisa cheese is.
- 5:37Speaker 11: You're going to die.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Dutch catching all these strays.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Absolutely. Like people are, I think your dad paid start
- 5:43Speaker 4: for hashtag free Dutch.
- 5:44Speaker 2: So.
- 5:48Speaker 8: Our whole brain went to he's dealing drugs, he's buying drugs,
- 5:51Speaker 8: he's paying for sex, he's buying the after pill, and
- 5:53Speaker 8: it was all my wife.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Doing the thing that she should be doing for you,
- 5:56Speaker 2: getting a great pedicure.
- 5:58Speaker 10: Honestly, though, a $ 20 tip on a pedicure is very generous.
- 6:02Speaker 6: I'm like, that must have been a really good pedicure.
- 6:04Speaker 7: Or it was an expensive pedicure.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Also, I think you would pay, like, when you pay
- 6:09Speaker 4: at the end, you just do one tip. Like, she's
- 6:11Speaker 4: Venmoing them individually.
- 6:12Speaker 7: I think you tip them separately.
- 6:13Speaker 8: I didn't know, because I've gone before, and I just...
- 6:16Speaker 8: Just do the whole, you pay and you just go
- 6:17Speaker 8: do your thing.
- 6:18Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 8: Venmo and he's just, I don't know. I'm not a
- 6:20Speaker 8: Venmo person. Anyway, the thing is, so far at this juncture,
- 6:24Speaker 8: I think I got a good kid.
- 6:25Speaker 2: So far.
- 6:26Speaker 4: So far. He might have a gambling problem. That didn't
- 6:28Speaker 4: come up.
- 6:29Speaker 2: That's something else.
- 6:30Speaker 7: He might be owed an apology.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I don't trust anybody with no vices.
- 6:34Speaker 8: He might be owed an apology, but he doesn't know
- 6:35Speaker 8: that Blake and I had that conversation. Blake just said,
- 6:38Speaker 8: who's this?
- 6:38Speaker 10: Just let him feel the heat for a little bit.
- 6:40Speaker 8: You know how you hear those stories about the police
- 6:43Speaker 8: beating down somebody that's innocent until they finally confess?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Sure.
- 6:46Speaker 8: Dutch at one point said that the Leon Gwynn was
- 6:48Speaker 8: the guy from the pro shop at the golf course. Like,
- 6:51Speaker 8: Dutch is like, it's the guy from the pro shop.
- 6:53Speaker 8: I must have been more than 10. Like, he's admitting
- 6:55Speaker 8: to it, and he has no idea.
- 6:56Speaker 4: But he didn't do it. He didn't do it.
- 6:58Speaker 7: He didn't do it.
- 6:59Speaker 4: And this is for $ 10. Imagine if you're accused of murder,
- 7:02Speaker 4: and they're just beating you down with a flashlight for
- 7:04Speaker 4: 12 hours.
- 7:04Speaker 8: Anyway, there you go. You can see it on my Instagram,
- 7:07Speaker 8: the whole story of John J.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Van S. Hey, what's the vibe for horse growth for
- 7:14Speaker 4: Peyton's predictions?
- 7:15Speaker 10: Well, summer is over, which means that it is now
- 7:18Speaker 10: cuffing season. And I'm letting you know what this means
- 7:21Speaker 10: for you and your Zodiac sign. If it's your birthday today,
- 7:24Speaker 10: we are officially out of Virgo season and in Libra season.
- 7:29Speaker 6: So welcome.
- 7:30Speaker 10: You guys all share a birthday with Anthony Mackey, Kalani
- 7:32Speaker 10: from Dance Moms, Jordan Woods and Ray Charles.
- 7:35Speaker 6: So, Kyle, let's just start us off with you since
- 7:38Speaker 6: we're in your season.
- 7:39Speaker 9: Yay.
- 7:39Speaker 6: For Libras.
- 7:40Speaker 10: So, this means that your flirting power is going to
- 7:44Speaker 10: be at an all-time high, especially during your Libra season.
- 7:47Speaker 10: You're going to string along four different people who all
- 7:49Speaker 10: think that they're the only one which is going to
- 7:51Speaker 10: leave a trail of broken hearts while you casually decide
- 7:54Speaker 10: who gets the December promotion for Christmas.
- 7:56Speaker 7: Correct. It's called a lineup.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Yes, exactly. A Libra always has their roster stocked.
- 8:03Speaker 4: All right, let's say hello to Sarah. Good morning, Sarah.
- 8:06Speaker 4: What's your sign?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Gemini.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Gemini is going into cuffing season.
- 8:11Speaker 10: You're going to keep a starting lineup of three different
- 8:14Speaker 10: options going at the same exact time.
- 8:16Speaker 6: You're going to take one.
- 8:17Speaker 10: To the pumpkin patch, maybe text one from the car
- 8:19Speaker 10: ride home, and then you're going to invite the third
- 8:21Speaker 10: one over to meet you back at the house for
- 8:23Speaker 10: a movie, fully convinced that you're just keeping your options open.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Sounds like I'm.
- 8:28Speaker 9: Going to be busy.
- 8:30Speaker 4: All right, Sarah, thanks for calling in. Have a great day. Yeah,
- 8:34Speaker 4: happy fall. You too, happy fall. Chris, hello. What is
- 8:37Speaker 4: your sign?
- 8:38Speaker 6: Hi, I'm Taurus.
- 8:40Speaker 10: All right, for my Taurus, during cuffing season, you guys
- 8:43Speaker 10: aren't really looking for a soulmate.
- 8:45Speaker 6: You're just looking for a human heating pad with a
- 8:47Speaker 6: nice car.
- 8:48Speaker 10: Your audition candidates are based strictly on who has the
- 8:52Speaker 10: best streaming subscription and the willingness to door dash food
- 8:55Speaker 10: in really bad weather.
- 8:56Speaker 13: Interesting.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Chris, have a great day. Thanks for calling in.
- 9:03Speaker 14: Yep.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Yep, love listening to you guys.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 9:05Speaker 10: Bye.
- 9:06Speaker 4: How about Pisces?
- 9:07Speaker 10: Okay, Rich, for you, in cuffing season, you're going to
- 9:10Speaker 10: walk past a stranger in a jacket on the street,
- 9:12Speaker 10: make eye contact for like two seconds, and then instantly
- 9:14Speaker 10: draft a five-year plan in your head. You have a
- 9:16Speaker 10: cozy winter routine, a holiday playlist in your head before
- 9:19Speaker 10: you even know their last name.
- 9:21Speaker 2: What is the problem with this exactly? This sounds like
- 9:23Speaker 2: a good time.
- 9:24Speaker 6: It means that you guys like to cuff and then dump.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:27Speaker 6: Which is not good.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I mean, we're happy where we are like most of
- 9:30Speaker 2: the time.
- 9:30Speaker 4: You call it cuffing season, right? Like handcuffs, cuffs?
- 9:34Speaker 6: Cuffing season, like you're in a relationship.
- 9:35Speaker 4: But is it cupping, like you're getting a cup of tea? No, cuffing.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Cuffing, cuffing.
- 9:40Speaker 6: Your handcuffs to your partner.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Okay, and cuffing means one more time?
- 9:43Speaker 10: It means that you're like trying to get into a relationship,
- 9:46Speaker 10: especially during the fall times where you have Halloween, then
- 9:49Speaker 10: you have Thanksgiving, then you've got Christmas.
- 9:51Speaker 6: Everyone wants a partner.
- 9:51Speaker 7: So it's kind of like lock someone down now so
- 9:54Speaker 7: you have someone for the holidays.
- 9:55Speaker 4: So how about Leo's?
- 9:56Speaker 6: Okay, I'm a Leo. Us during cuffing season, we don't want.
- 10:00Speaker 6: a relationship.
- 10:01Speaker 10: We just want a prop for our next Instagram grid.
- 10:04Speaker 10: We are interviewing candidates to see who looks the best
- 10:06Speaker 10: next to us in matching sweaters. And the second that
- 10:08Speaker 10: they ruin our aesthetic and vibe, they are cut from
- 10:11Speaker 10: the roster.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Would you say that agrees with you? Yeah, totally. How
- 10:14Speaker 4: about Virgos?
- 10:16Speaker 10: John Jay, for cuffing season, you hand out a full
- 10:19Speaker 10: written background check and a 90-day probation period before you
- 10:22Speaker 10: let anyone be your winter partner. You are auditing their
- 10:26Speaker 10: credit score, their sleep schedule, and their boundary habits before
- 10:29Speaker 10: you even let them touch a toothbrush at your place.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I like it. All right.
- 10:33Speaker 8: You want to find out how you cuff, go to johnjayandrich.com.
- 10:38Speaker 8: They are all posted on our websites. John Jay and Rich.
- 10:41Speaker 11: This world, we're mad.
- 10:42Speaker 6: Are you following us on Insta?
- 10:44Speaker 7: At John Jay and Rich.
- 10:46Speaker 8: Hey, it's time to get into our Drunk Dolls. We
- 10:48Speaker 8: got the Drunk Doll line, which you can call anytime. 602-888-1933.
- 10:52Speaker 8: You can also leave us a talkback on the talkback
- 10:54Speaker 8: feature on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Just tap the microphone. We put them all together. It's
- 10:58Speaker 4: called the Drunk Doll Lounge.
- 11:00Speaker 14: For food news, you guys didn't also say about Costco.
- 11:05Speaker 6: I think they're bringing back the churros.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Come on, Rich. Get your shit together.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Food news. Food news.
- 11:14Speaker 7: John Jay and Rich.
- 11:15Speaker 6: Food news. We talked about the churro.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I did see that, but I thought.
- 11:21Speaker 7: We chatted about it already.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Churro. Churro.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I know. I was hearing churro, though.
- 11:25Speaker 2: They say churros.
- 11:26Speaker 7: Did you see there was a whole battle of whose
- 11:28Speaker 7: churro is better, Costco or.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Dunkin'. No, Krispy Kreme. Oh, Krispy Kreme.
- 11:32Speaker 7: Because they're doing Krispy Kreme churro donuts.
- 11:34Speaker 6: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 11:35Speaker 7: And they look amazing.
- 11:37Speaker 6: Oh, yum.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Speaking of.
- 11:39Speaker 7: I see you tried Tuesday.
- 11:39Speaker 4: I was going to say, seems like we need to go.
- 11:41Speaker 10: Get a snack.
- 11:41Speaker 6: Hold on a second.
- 11:43Speaker 4: That was the churros at Costco, right?
- 11:45Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 11:45Speaker 8: Okay, now call me stupid what I'm about to say
- 11:48Speaker 8: to you because I'm going to read a text right
- 11:49Speaker 8: now that says, because remember I went to.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Costco a while ago and I was blown away by Costco. Yes.
- 11:54Speaker 8: It says, man, if John Jay's impressed with Costco, just
- 11:58Speaker 8: wait until he finds out about Sam's Club.
- 12:00Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 8: Sam's Club, Scan and Go, Team Sam's Club. I thought
- 12:04Speaker 8: Costco and Sam's Club and Price Club were all the same,
- 12:07Speaker 8: the evolution.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Well, I don't think Price Club exists anymore. I think
- 12:09Speaker 2: it's become Sam's Club.
- 12:10Speaker 7: No, Sam's Club and Costco are like rivals. They're like
- 12:14Speaker 7: CVS and Walgreens.
- 12:15Speaker 4: Wait a minute. Is it Sam Walton? Is it Walmart?
- 12:18Speaker 2: It's part of the Walmart team. Family, yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's like the buy-in bulk kind of thing.
- 12:24Speaker 7: I've never been to Sam's Club, but I hear their
- 12:26Speaker 7: hot dogs are amazing.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, really? Yeah, their hot dogs are pretty good.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Sam's Club is delish. I wouldn't pick it over Costco
- 12:31Speaker 2: for much.
- 12:33Speaker 6: We have memberships to both.
- 12:34Speaker 4: You need a membership for Sam's Club too?
- 12:36Speaker 6: Yes, it's literally Sam's Club. They're the same exact thing.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Literally. But what's cool that they're talking about is I
- 12:41Speaker 2: do this too when I go to Sam's Club. You
- 12:42Speaker 2: just throw your stuff in your cart, and you scan it,
- 12:44Speaker 2: and then you just leave. You don't have to, like,
- 12:45Speaker 2: check out.
- 12:46Speaker 6: Yeah, they have the, like, self-checkout, and you go.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Oh, so you're talking about scan and go.
- 12:49Speaker 6: That's pretty cool.
- 12:51Speaker 4: So I know Costco is Kirkland. What's Sam's Club?
- 12:54Speaker 6: Maker's Mark, I think.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Is that alcohol? Yeah.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Or it's Maker something. Oh, Member's Mark, maybe?
- 13:01Speaker 4: Members only?
- 13:02Speaker 2: No.
- 13:02Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 13:03Speaker 2: They sell members only?
- 13:04Speaker 10: It's something like that, but I do know that Sam's Club,
- 13:06Speaker 10: they have the Icy's.
- 13:07Speaker 6: And they're really good.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Oh, I love Icy's.
- 13:09Speaker 6: Yeah, like regular Icy's. Oh, like the brand Icy?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Yeah. We have more drunk towels.
- 13:15Speaker 15: I just need you guys to know how seriously me
- 13:18Speaker 15: and my roommates are taking these Disneyland tickets. We have
- 13:22Speaker 15: alarms set.
- 13:24Speaker 13: We have a group chat.
- 13:26Speaker 15: Dedicated to the magic word. Like, this has become a full-time.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Job, and honestly.
- 13:34Speaker 16: All three of us hate our boyfriends right.
- 13:36Speaker 15: Now, so morale in the house is low.
- 13:40Speaker 10: And, like, we need to get out of here.
- 13:44Speaker 2: We need to go to Disneyland, eat a churro.
- 13:48Speaker 10: And remember who we are.
- 13:51Speaker 6: And, like, we need these tickets.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Okay, I love you. Bye.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Wow, there's a theme going on. Both calls mentioned churros.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Yeah, we forgot about the Disney churros.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Those are the best.
- 14:02Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh, I love that.
- 14:04Speaker 13: If I'm listening to, like, a Supergirl podcast, because we're
- 14:06Speaker 13: a podcast listener, I'm busy, okay? Anyway, I am listening
- 14:09Speaker 13: to you guys talk about the girl who expected the
- 14:11Speaker 13: guy to pay for the Uber for the date. And
- 14:14Speaker 13: I just have to say... As a mother, as a wife,
- 14:19Speaker 13: is it so wrong for a woman to expect a
- 14:23Speaker 13: man to anticipate her needs?
- 14:25Speaker 6: No, just asking.
- 14:27Speaker 7: I mean, that's part of the argument, right?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Well, it was the... The girl.
- 14:34Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, so she was upset that her date didn't
- 14:38Speaker 7: pay for her Uber afterwards and he invited her to
- 14:41Speaker 7: go to a bar and she thought, how rude is
- 14:44Speaker 7: it that you wouldn't think I would obviously need a
- 14:45Speaker 7: ride home?
- 14:47Speaker 9: Something as basic as not even offering to get my
- 14:50Speaker 9: Uber is just the beginning. That would be a whole
- 14:54Speaker 9: other slew of problems where I would have to teach
- 14:57Speaker 9: you along the way just basic chivalry. The fact that
- 15:00Speaker 9: basic chivalry... to you is the dumbest thing that you've
- 15:03Speaker 9: ever heard. Huge red flag. That's a red flag factory.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Maybe that's the reason why she's still single.
- 15:11Speaker 4: She's got a very impossibly high standard and most guys
- 15:13Speaker 4: are not going to meet him, but you know, good
- 15:15Speaker 4: luck to you.
- 15:16Speaker 17: Maybe there's one out there.
- 15:17Speaker 9: Maybe you're still single because the bar is so low
- 15:19Speaker 9: that the world has just removed the bar.
- 15:22Speaker 2: You know, I have kids. Is it wrong for a
- 15:25Speaker 2: girl to, to want the guy to anticipate what her
- 15:27Speaker 2: needs are?
- 15:28Speaker 7: I think every girl wants that. Like, You want, but
- 15:31Speaker 7: then it's like, the guys are like, we're not mind readers.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That guy was kind of a jerk anyway. That guy
- 15:36Speaker 2: we're talking about.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Speaking of dating. So there's, there's a girl at the gym.
- 15:40Speaker 8: She was talking, I was eavesdropping on this conversation yesterday.
- 15:44Speaker 8: So she got asked out on a date, a first date,
- 15:47Speaker 8: and the guy was going to pick her up in
- 15:49Speaker 8: a Waymo. Isn't that weird? Because then you're just alone
- 15:52Speaker 8: in a Waymo first day with someone. Can you just
- 15:55Speaker 8: picture that for a second? I know you pick somebody up, whatever,
- 15:58Speaker 8: just being alone in the backseat of a Waymo.
- 16:00Speaker 7: Is that more weird than picking them up in your
- 16:02Speaker 7: own car?
- 16:03Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:03Speaker 7: Because you're alone in your own car.
- 16:05Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:05Speaker 6: I don't feel like that's weird.
- 16:07Speaker 7: I don't feel like that's weird.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Have you been in a Waymo yet? No.
- 16:10Speaker 10: Well, maybe the reason that would be weird is because
- 16:13Speaker 10: low-key in the Waymos, they can hear you and they
- 16:15Speaker 10: can see you.
- 16:15Speaker 6: You like the people that are manning.
- 16:17Speaker 7: And operating and you're being eavesdropped on your.
- 16:20Speaker 8: Date yeah okay the girl that got us on a
- 16:23Speaker 8: date she was like hell no i'm not going to
- 16:25Speaker 8: be alone with you in a waymo that's what she
- 16:27Speaker 8: was telling her friend it's almost safer.
- 16:29Speaker 7: It'd be almost safer in the waymo because they are
- 16:31Speaker 7: eavesdropping because if you try to be funny business they.
- 16:34Speaker 8: Will call the cops for you still i'm just telling
- 16:35Speaker 8: you what she said i didn't participate because i was eavesdropping.
- 16:38Speaker 2: If you got on the first date and they picked
- 16:40Speaker 2: you up in a waymo we want to hear from.
- 16:41Speaker 4: You If you've been on a first date and picked
- 16:43Speaker 4: up on a Waymo? Yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Don't you think?
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:46Speaker 14: Sure.
- 16:47Speaker 4: I buy all my guns from a guy named T-Rex.
- 16:50Speaker 4: He's a small arms dealer.
- 16:52Speaker 7: That was probably from joke day.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 7: That's great.
- 16:56Speaker 4: All right.
- 16:57Speaker 8: So again, just leave us a talk back on the
- 17:00Speaker 8: free iHeartRadio app or call.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Us at 602-888-1933. It's the Drunk Dow Lounge. Hey, guys,
- 17:09Speaker 4: it's time for Stacks and Hacks. I have stacks of
- 17:12Speaker 4: information and Rich has life hacks of information. New poll
- 17:16Speaker 4: asked people, how do you usually greet each other after
- 17:19Speaker 4: you see them? Like, how do you usually greet each
- 17:21Speaker 4: of the following when you see them? Like, do you
- 17:24Speaker 4: do a handshake? Do you do a hug? Does that
- 17:27Speaker 4: make sense?
- 17:27Speaker 7: You said each of the following. So who are we greeting?
- 17:29Speaker 8: Think back to last time you met someone for the
- 17:31Speaker 8: first time. Maybe a neighbor, a friend's friend, a coworker,
- 17:33Speaker 8: or a car salesman at the dealership you went to.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Did they shake their hand or hug them? A new
- 17:37Speaker 8: poll asked Americans, how do you usually greet each of
- 17:40Speaker 8: the following when you see them? And for someone we've
- 17:43Speaker 8: just met, this. They say a handshake. 18% said a
- 17:47Speaker 8: wave or a nod. 12% said nothing physical, just a
- 17:49Speaker 8: hello or hey.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Yeah. 5% of people greeted a stranger with a hug.
- 17:53Speaker 18: Huh.
- 17:54Speaker 4: You know who does that? Who?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Me.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Rich.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Rich always goes, come to me, come to me. And
- 17:59Speaker 4: then you give them a hug.
- 18:00Speaker 7: I'm a hugger too.
- 18:01Speaker 2: If I know that.
- 18:02Speaker 4: No, I've seen you do it with new people. I've
- 18:03Speaker 4: seen you do it with new people.
- 18:04Speaker 6: It depends.
- 18:05Speaker 7: I like, I'm not going to greet a car salesman
- 18:07Speaker 7: with a hug, but like, you know, like a friend
- 18:10Speaker 7: of a friend.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:11Speaker 7: Like if I'm just meeting them for the first time, sure.
- 18:13Speaker 6: That's so nice of me. I've heard so much about you.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:16Speaker 8: No city in America cracked the top 10 on the
- 18:18Speaker 8: list of the best customer service cities in the world,
- 18:21Speaker 8: but the top three in America, San Diego, Phoenix, and Dallas.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Right on.
- 18:26Speaker 8: The website conducted a survey on the airlines with the
- 18:28Speaker 8: best food and beverage options, and there was one clear winner.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Is it American?
- 18:34Speaker 4: Nope.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Is it Delta?
- 18:36Speaker 4: Yes. They also asked for the worst things people could
- 18:38Speaker 4: eat on a flight.
- 18:39Speaker 7: Tuna or any type of fish.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Tuna number one.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 4: Tuna number one.
- 18:44Speaker 8: A school district in New York is going to deploy
- 18:46Speaker 8: a humanoid robot teacher. The robot will not replace the
- 18:49Speaker 8: real teacher. It'll just provide support to students and educators.
- 18:53Speaker 9: Nope.
- 18:53Speaker 6: So it'll be like a paraprofessional.
- 18:55Speaker 2: In a school.
- 18:56Speaker 7: Don't want him in there.
- 18:57Speaker 2: No.
- 18:57Speaker 16: Really?
- 18:57Speaker 4: I saw Kyle post a video yesterday of someone fighting
- 19:01Speaker 4: a robot.
- 19:01Speaker 7: Yeah, and he lost really bad.
- 19:03Speaker 2: The guy lost?
- 19:03Speaker 4: The robot lost?
- 19:04Speaker 7: No, the guy.
- 19:05Speaker 9: Oh.
- 19:05Speaker 4: That's terrible. Death is one of life's biggest mysteries.
- 19:11Speaker 8: And now a group of professional mediums are sharing what
- 19:14Speaker 8: they believe happens after we die.
- 19:17Speaker 4: They believe death isn't the end. It's a shift. And
- 19:22Speaker 4: fear is normal, but don't let it take over. That
- 19:23Speaker 4: doesn't explain anything mediums.
- 19:25Speaker 2: No, come on. What does that say? What happens?
- 19:27Speaker 7: It's a shift. A shift in what?
- 19:29Speaker 4: Like what? I don't know.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I'm coming to work the next day.
- 19:32Speaker 10: Is that still like the logic where it's like once
- 19:35Speaker 10: you die that your body's there, but your soul leaves
- 19:36Speaker 10: your body, so you're shifting into another realm?
- 19:39Speaker 7: Right, but we need the information like, okay, you leave
- 19:41Speaker 7: your body and then you can morph into different things
- 19:44Speaker 7: like a tree or the street or like, or you
- 19:48Speaker 7: fly around or something.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 19:50Speaker 8: Well, also to wrap up my part of stacks and hacks,
- 19:54Speaker 8: adults online are sharing the wildest things they've had to
- 19:56Speaker 8: explain to other adults. Wild things like this guy says,
- 20:00Speaker 8: I was telling my sister about her two friends of
- 20:02Speaker 8: mine drove to Alaska and she said, how does that work?
- 20:05Speaker 8: I told her you cross the border to Canada and
- 20:07Speaker 8: then you drive the rest of the way to Alaska.
- 20:09Speaker 8: And she said, but Alaska's an island.
- 20:12Speaker 6: I would think you would have to fly to Alaska too.
- 20:14Speaker 6: I'm with her.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Alaska's tricky because when we usually see the United States
- 20:19Speaker 7: and it has Hawaii and Alaska on it, they both
- 20:21Speaker 7: look like islands.
- 20:21Speaker 2: That's because it's so freaking big.
- 20:23Speaker 6: It's misleading if you ask me.
- 20:25Speaker 8: So these are things that people had to share, wild
- 20:27Speaker 8: things they had to share with other adults. This guy says,
- 20:30Speaker 8: I walked into the break room just in time to
- 20:32Speaker 8: stop a coworker from cooking a can of corn in
- 20:34Speaker 8: the microwave.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Oh, no. An unopened can of corn.
- 20:37Speaker 9: Oh, my.
- 20:37Speaker 7: That would have been a disaster.
- 20:39Speaker 8: I had to explain to a grown human who went
- 20:41Speaker 8: to college for nursing what a semicircle was. I had
- 20:44Speaker 8: to literally tell her that it was half of a circle.
- 20:49Speaker 8: I had to explain to my cousin's husband, who was
- 20:51Speaker 8: 35 at the time, that thunder does not come from
- 20:53Speaker 8: two clouds crashing into each other.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Although when you're a kid, that makes total sense.
- 20:58Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:59Speaker 8: I had a patient ask me if you can get
- 21:01Speaker 8: the flu twice. I was working in a bike store
- 21:04Speaker 8: when an older lady came in to return a roll
- 21:06Speaker 8: of reflective tape. She said it didn't work because when
- 21:09Speaker 8: she took the tape into a dark closet, she couldn't
- 21:11Speaker 8: see anything. I had to explain to my friend that no,
- 21:15Speaker 8: salmonella is not Spanish for salmon.
- 21:19Speaker 2: I actually had to tell somebody that was an adult
- 21:22Speaker 2: that it's a bad idea to leave your car running
- 21:24Speaker 2: in the garage. Like they're taking a call. Hey, that's really, really,
- 21:28Speaker 2: really dangerous.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Why?
- 21:31Speaker 6: Carbon monoxide poisoning?
- 21:32Speaker 4: Unless it's electric. Yeah.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I mean, like they're taking a call or like, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 2: I didn't know I needed a garage door. I'm like, yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 2: bad idea. Bad idea.
- 21:40Speaker 4: What do you have for life hacks, Rich?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Okay. So I'm interested in your take on this. Kyle,
- 21:45Speaker 2: let me ask you, if you want to sound more convincing,
- 21:48Speaker 2: do you think that you should slow down when you talk?
- 21:51Speaker 2: Or do you think that you should talk a little
- 21:52Speaker 2: bit faster so that you dazzle them with quick speak?
- 21:56Speaker 6: More convincing, yeah. Slow down.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Well, you are correct. In fact, when you're making the
- 22:01Speaker 2: important point, speaking just a little slower gives people time
- 22:04Speaker 2: to process what you're saying and it can make you
- 22:06Speaker 2: sound more deliberate and confident. But then when you're talking
- 22:09Speaker 2: about something exciting, picking up the pace naturally adds energy
- 22:12Speaker 2: and it brings everybody along with you. So if you
- 22:14Speaker 2: want to know how to sound more convincing when you're
- 22:17Speaker 2: making a point, slow down. When you're excited about something,
- 22:20Speaker 2: speed up a little bit. And then a second of
- 22:23Speaker 2: silence makes people lean in. Sometimes the hack isn't what
- 22:27Speaker 2: you say. It's how you say it. That hack and
- 22:29Speaker 2: many more can be found at johnjayandrich.com.
- 22:38Speaker 4: We want to hear your voice on the John Jay
- 22:40Speaker 4: and Rich Show.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Send us a top back from the red microphone button
- 22:43Speaker 7: on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 22:44Speaker 18: Your voice message will come right to us in the studio,
- 22:47Speaker 18: and we'll take it from there.
- 22:52Speaker 3: I feel so alive! Okay, so I.
- 23:07Speaker 10: Have a little thing about dating and credit scores. So basically,
- 23:11Speaker 10: people aren't asking for zodiac signs anymore when you're going
- 23:13Speaker 10: on a first date. We're asking for credit scores. So
- 23:16Speaker 10: apparently this survey of Gen Z and millennial daters, about
- 23:19Speaker 10: one in five are saying that they want to know
- 23:21Speaker 10: someone's credit score before they even agree to a first date.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Wow.
- 23:24Speaker 7: I kind of feel like that's a little personal, right? Like,
- 23:27Speaker 7: are you going to actually give up that information?
- 23:29Speaker 8: But is it also real? Does the credit score stand
- 23:31Speaker 8: for something else? Like, they're just saying, I really need
- 23:33Speaker 8: to know more about something. They really want to know
- 23:34Speaker 8: their credit score.
- 23:34Speaker 6: No, they are straight up saying there.
- 23:36Speaker 10: Some people are saying they will not date you if
- 23:38Speaker 10: your credit score is under a 580.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Okay, so let me tell you something.
- 23:42Speaker 8: I just recently found out my credit score, like five
- 23:45Speaker 8: days ago. For the first time ever? Yeah, for the
- 23:47Speaker 8: first time ever. And I was like, oh, wow, I
- 23:49Speaker 8: didn't know that. And I found out what the highest
- 23:54Speaker 8: it can be is. So do you guys know your
- 23:56Speaker 8: individual credit scores?
- 23:57Speaker 9: Yes.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Like for real, for real?
- 23:58Speaker 7: Not off the top of my head.
- 23:59Speaker 4: So like you would share it?
- 24:01Speaker 12: Me?
- 24:01Speaker 4: I didn't know it was such a big deal. Like
- 24:02Speaker 4: you just said it's, what did you say?
- 24:03Speaker 7: I feel like it's personal information.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Like I didn't know it was personal information.
- 24:06Speaker 6: I wouldn't want to share my credit score.
- 24:07Speaker 4: How come? Because it's bad?
- 24:08Speaker 6: But I am proud of my credit score.
- 24:09Speaker 8: Now, how come you wouldn't want to share it? Is
- 24:10Speaker 8: it like social security number? Because I know I'll share mine.
- 24:13Speaker 10: It just kind of just tells people a little bit
- 24:15Speaker 10: about you and how you handle your finances.
- 24:17Speaker 6: Sometimes people just don't need to know all that.
- 24:19Speaker 7: But I think if you have like a really good
- 24:22Speaker 7: credit score, you're probably more willing to share it.
- 24:24Speaker 11: But if you have a.
- 24:25Speaker 7: Really bad credit score, you may not. Either way, it's
- 24:28Speaker 7: like none of your business.
- 24:29Speaker 8: So if I'm on a date and a girl says
- 24:31Speaker 8: to me, what's your credit score? And I happen to
- 24:33Speaker 8: know it because I do know it now. I can
- 24:35Speaker 8: say it. But if I didn't know it, like, how
- 24:37Speaker 8: do you get that?
- 24:38Speaker 4: Hold on. Let me Google. Let me find out. Like,
- 24:39Speaker 4: how do you find out?
- 24:40Speaker 6: A lot of times it's on your bank account.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Like a lot of times within your app.
- 24:44Speaker 6: You can go and find it or pull it.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it depends on what apps you use. Like I
- 24:47Speaker 2: use Rocket Money. So it'll tell you.
- 24:49Speaker 4: So why? How come you? I don't understand. Is yours bad? Mine?
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:52Speaker 6: No, I just wouldn't want to share my credit score.
- 24:54Speaker 6: I don't have a bad credit score.
- 24:56Speaker 4: But I don't understand.
- 24:58Speaker 7: It's just personal.
- 24:59Speaker 4: Mine's $ 750.
- 25:01Speaker 6: That's really good.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I know.
- 25:02Speaker 4: That's really good. I found the highest you can get
- 25:03Speaker 4: is 800.
- 25:04Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 8: But I also wouldn't, am not afraid to share it. Like,
- 25:07Speaker 8: if yours is 600, who cares? Well, because it kind
- 25:09Speaker 8: of shows.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I don't understand why you don't want to share it.
- 25:11Speaker 10: Well, the lower your credit score is, like, it might
- 25:13Speaker 10: be harder for you to take out a loan to
- 25:14Speaker 10: get a car or a loan to get a house.
- 25:16Speaker 10: So it kind of just tells who you are as
- 25:18Speaker 10: a person financially. Like, in this study, there was this
- 25:21Speaker 10: girl that said, like, having an 800 credit score is
- 25:24Speaker 10: like being the new six feet tall.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Like, it makes you that much more attractive. Right.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I don't know, because you think about if you're just dating,
- 25:31Speaker 2: you meet the person of your dreams. They don't necessarily
- 25:34Speaker 2: have their act together. You guys got to grow into
- 25:36Speaker 2: that together. So you might be turning loose a work
- 25:40Speaker 2: in progress that could be an 800 down the road.
- 25:44Speaker 2: That's a perfect match for you just because they're not
- 25:46Speaker 2: really thinking about that. Or maybe they're not even using
- 25:48Speaker 2: credit cards yet.
- 25:49Speaker 7: What are the opinions on asking this? Is it like...
- 25:53Speaker 7: Cause it almost seems like, you know, if you ask
- 25:54Speaker 7: someone how much money they make on the first date,
- 25:56Speaker 7: that's pretty shallow.
- 25:57Speaker 6: It's a red flag.
- 25:58Speaker 7: Like, is this also a shallow question? Probably.
- 26:01Speaker 16: Right.
- 26:01Speaker 6: Because you're trying to figure out.
- 26:02Speaker 7: Because you're trying to like dig into their financial situations,
- 26:06Speaker 7: which I don't like necessarily. I mean, obviously you don't
- 26:08Speaker 7: like want to get yourself into a financial mess because
- 26:10Speaker 7: of who you're with, but also it's like, like Rich said,
- 26:13Speaker 7: like you kind of like ease into that.
- 26:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 26:16Speaker 8: Um, How my credit score is 750. Like, I don't
- 26:20Speaker 8: know why it's not 800. Like my wife, she pays
- 26:23Speaker 8: all our bills. So I would assume she missed something.
- 26:26Speaker 4: Right? Not necessarily. What do you think it is?
- 26:29Speaker 7: Sometimes your score could get dinged if you have too
- 26:32Speaker 7: many accounts open. Not necessarily. All of your accounts could
- 26:35Speaker 7: be in a great standing, but they think you have
- 26:36Speaker 7: too many of them.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Or maybe you don't use your credit card enough to
- 26:40Speaker 2: have enough money. Because it's like they use it like
- 26:42Speaker 2: I use my credit card and then I pay it off.
- 26:44Speaker 8: I saw the heist with 800.
- 26:46Speaker 4: I was like, why the hell am I not 800?
- 26:47Speaker 4: What gives?
- 26:49Speaker 8: So I want to know. And also, it's so interesting
- 26:51Speaker 8: that Peyton doesn't want to say what hers is. I
- 26:52Speaker 8: don't care, but I think it's interesting how you don't
- 26:54Speaker 8: want to share it.
- 26:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I just don't feel like that's anyone's business.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I know. So is he talking about your sex life?
- 27:00Speaker 4: You talk about that. You talk about all these other
- 27:02Speaker 4: things you talk about. So is about how you vape.
- 27:05Speaker 4: So is that.
- 27:06Speaker 8: It's a radio show. If you don't know the number,
- 27:09Speaker 8: then we don't need to know the number. But if
- 27:10Speaker 8: you know the number and you're not sharing it, me
- 27:12Speaker 8: just finding out what mine is, I'm curious as to
- 27:14Speaker 8: reason you don't want to share it.
- 27:16Speaker 4: That's the part I don't get.
- 27:17Speaker 6: I'm in your realm. I'm over there.
- 27:20Speaker 4: If mine was 200 i would tell you mine is.
- 27:23Speaker 7: I think it's like i maybe like you could go
- 27:26Speaker 7: okay maybe you don't need the exact score but maybe
- 27:28Speaker 7: the ranking because doesn't it go excellent good.
- 27:31Speaker 4: Oh that part i don't know i just saw the
- 27:34Speaker 4: number i just saw the numbers yours would be excellent
- 27:37Speaker 4: danielle good morning you're on the air sorry i'll sidetrack
- 27:39Speaker 4: talking about uh credit scores danielle and dating you're.
- 27:43Speaker 17: On the air I feel like if people are asking
- 27:46Speaker 17: about credit scores on the first date.
- 27:48Speaker 12: And have the audacity, I slowly have the audacity to.
- 27:51Speaker 17: Ask for a dick pic and know what.
- 27:52Speaker 2: You're talking about. Before you commit.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Wasting my time.
- 27:56Speaker 17: Before I get dressed and do my hair and shave
- 28:00Speaker 17: my entire body from the eyebrows down. And then sit
- 28:04Speaker 17: through dinner and act like... Like, I can give a
- 28:07Speaker 17: shit about your fantasy football. And, like, you know, like,
- 28:11Speaker 17: that's my precious time.
- 28:12Speaker 12: So send me the nude.
- 28:14Speaker 17: Like, let's just see what we're.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Working with here.
- 28:16Speaker 8: So you don't care about the 750 or 800 credit score.
- 28:22Speaker 4: You need something else.
- 28:24Speaker 7: You just see what you're working with.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 28:27Speaker 4: So do you need it to be a larger credit
- 28:28Speaker 4: score or a smaller credit score? I mean.
- 28:32Speaker 17: It's not the size of the credit score.
- 28:33Speaker 9: It's what you do with the credit score.
- 28:35Speaker 7: Fair enough.
- 28:36Speaker 8: Okay, what is a picture? If you send a picture,
- 28:39Speaker 8: it doesn't mean they know what they do with the
- 28:40Speaker 8: credit score.
- 28:41Speaker 9: I mean, that's true. But the credit score can go
- 28:43Speaker 9: up and down. You know, like, I understand.
- 28:46Speaker 17: Like, oh, you applied for a credit card and you
- 28:48Speaker 17: got a ding or something.
- 28:49Speaker 4: But, you know, anatomy is anatomy.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Well, I definitely have a low credit score for her.
- 28:59Speaker 4: All right. Thanks, Danielle.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Let me give up everything for all the money that
- 29:05Speaker 3: I've earned.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Ching, cha-ching, cha-chingery.
- 29:09Speaker 3: There's nothing on earth like the feeling of greed. There's
- 29:13Speaker 3: nothing on earth like the feeling of greed.
- 29:20Speaker 4: Annie, good morning. You're on the air. Your thoughts?
- 29:23Speaker 7: Morning.
- 29:24Speaker 6: So, forget the credit score.
- 29:26Speaker 15: I want to see screen time before we go out.
- 29:30Speaker 9: Because, like, there's so many guys who have, like, eight
- 29:35Speaker 9: hours a day.
- 29:37Speaker 15: Of just Instagram reels and TikToks and.
- 29:40Speaker 2: uh that's not for me okay but let me let
- 29:43Speaker 2: me put this out there for you that's because they
- 29:46Speaker 2: haven't hung out with you yet they've got nothing else
- 29:48Speaker 2: going on once they go out with you that screen
- 29:50Speaker 2: time might go way.
- 29:51Speaker 13: Down oh wait i like the way you Sure.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Because now they've got somebody worth spending time with. They
- 29:58Speaker 2: don't need to be on their phone. Right now, they're
- 30:00Speaker 2: just kind of floating around.
- 30:01Speaker 15: Okay, all right. This is a different perspective I haven't
- 30:04Speaker 15: heard before. But, like, I've gone out with so many
- 30:07Speaker 15: guys who I'm just, like, at the dinner with them,
- 30:10Speaker 15: and they're picking up their phone, like, a million times.
- 30:15Speaker 13: And they're, like, not present. So I want to know
- 30:19Speaker 13: ahead of time if they're going to, like, keep looking
- 30:22Speaker 13: at their phone.
- 30:23Speaker 17: Like, checking their stories while we're on our date.
- 30:27Speaker 7: That could be a red flag.
- 30:29Speaker 4: How can you tell how many times they picked up
- 30:30Speaker 4: their phone?
- 30:31Speaker 15: Oh, there's totally, like, there's a thing you can see
- 30:34Speaker 15: on your phone.
- 30:34Speaker 17: It says how many times you pick up in a day.
- 30:37Speaker 7: There is?
- 30:38Speaker 6: I do not want to look at that.
- 30:40Speaker 4: I do.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Oh, where is that?
- 30:41Speaker 4: Where do you see that? That's frightening. What's it called?
- 30:45Speaker 15: They will tell you how to get there.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, I'm scared.
- 30:50Speaker 4: I want to look that up.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Let's see.
- 30:51Speaker 8: I think it'd be fun to share that. Unless Peyton
- 30:54Speaker 8: doesn't want to share that. It's too personal.
- 30:56Speaker 11: It might be.
- 30:58Speaker 6: How do we find out how many times?
- 30:59Speaker 4: Is that a real thing?
- 31:01Speaker 2: I've never heard.
- 31:01Speaker 4: Of it before.
- 31:02Speaker 7: I know you can check your screen time. I know that.
- 31:05Speaker 7: I know you can check that.
- 31:06Speaker 4: I don't know how to find that. It just pops up.
- 31:08Speaker 6: Okay, so it goes, yeah, go to settings, go to
- 31:10Speaker 6: screen time.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Settings.
- 31:14Speaker 7: On an Android, it's digital well-being.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Where's screen time at?
- 31:18Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Let's see. I see home screen and app library. Okay.
- 31:24Speaker 4: Where does he screen? Oh, screen time. Okay. Screen time.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Now what do I do?
- 31:26Speaker 6: Okay.
- 31:27Speaker 10: So you go to screen time and then you go
- 31:28Speaker 10: to see all app and website activity.
- 31:31Speaker 16: Okay.
- 31:32Speaker 10: And then you scroll down until you see pickups. I've
- 31:35Speaker 10: had 41 pickups today.
- 31:37Speaker 4: See all app and website activity.
- 31:39Speaker 2: We're just the same. I've had 40 pickups today.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:41Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Where do you see that? Pickups.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I don't see pickups. 29. Yeah. Listen, you guys, you
- 31:48Speaker 4: guys are addicted. Hey, Eddie, Eddie, what's a number? What's
- 31:52Speaker 4: a good number that you would go on a date
- 31:53Speaker 4: with a guy if he had a certain amount of pickups?
- 31:56Speaker 15: Anything over 100 a day.
- 31:58Speaker 2: We're out.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Now, that to me is way more interesting than a
- 32:01Speaker 4: credit score.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:02Speaker 8: To find out how many times you're on your phone
- 32:04Speaker 8: being addicted to your phone. Yeah, I'm with you, Annie.
- 32:07Speaker 8: I agree with you, Annie.
- 32:08Speaker 2: The thing is, is that you start with chemistry, right?
- 32:11Speaker 2: And then you're sort of training the person how to
- 32:13Speaker 2: be with you. So if you let them loose because
- 32:16Speaker 2: of all these things, you never get to, you know,
- 32:19Speaker 2: figure it all out together and grow together. You might
- 32:22Speaker 2: be missing something.
- 32:23Speaker 4: Annie, thanks for calling in.
- 32:26Speaker 6: Thank you. Angie, good morning.
- 32:36Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 32:36Speaker 4: This is Angie. Hello, Angie. I was listening. Yes, thank you.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I was listening about the credit score. I wanted to
- 32:46Speaker 1: share my opinion.
- 32:48Speaker 4: Please do.
- 32:49Speaker 1: I have an excellent credit score.
- 32:51Speaker 15: Great.
- 32:54Speaker 2: That's it.
- 32:55Speaker 7: I mean, am I on the air?
- 32:57Speaker 1: Yeah, you're on the air.
- 32:59Speaker 4: You're on the air right now. Oh, okay.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I wanted to talk about how it affects dating because
- 33:04Speaker 1: I'm single. I feel that your credit score can be
- 33:10Speaker 1: affected by things that are out of your control. There's
- 33:12Speaker 1: a lot of fraud, a lot of online fraud, and
- 33:15Speaker 1: all that stuff. So that would be not good. My
- 33:19Speaker 1: first thing, it would be their spending habits, how they
- 33:22Speaker 1: treat people, like we're on a date. Are they going
- 33:24Speaker 1: to be like, oh, we got to share something because
- 33:27Speaker 1: I can't afford it.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Or I have to keep on.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Or things like that may be a red flag.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Okay.
- 33:33Speaker 8: Well, we were talking about like, hey, everyone was calling
- 33:36Speaker 8: in saying forget credit score. This woman was like, he's
- 33:40Speaker 8: got to show me a picture of his junk. Forget
- 33:43Speaker 8: credit score. He better have a good relationship with his mom.
- 33:46Speaker 8: Forget credit score. You better have a clean apartment. You know,
- 33:49Speaker 8: it's like that. It's not necessarily about the credit score.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm– I guess I'm backing that up.
- 33:53Speaker 4: Right. Very good. Well, thank you, Angie.
- 33:54Speaker 1: But I have, you know, like a great credit score,
- 33:57Speaker 1: and I would share it with anybody.
- 33:59Speaker 4: What's your credit score?
- 34:00Speaker 2: It sounds like you're trying to.
- 34:01Speaker 4: What is it? Well, okay.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Right now it's 780, and its highest was in March
- 34:07Speaker 1: at 843.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Oh.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Way to go.
- 34:09Speaker 4: You know, we have somebody that actually works for a
- 34:11Speaker 4: credit company right now. Lindsay, good morning.
- 34:14Speaker 15: Good morning.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Yes.
- 34:16Speaker 15: So, just kind of hearing, John Jay, you have a
- 34:18Speaker 15: great credit score at 750. I work for a credit
- 34:23Speaker 15: card company and do credit analyst back in the day and... Actually,
- 34:28Speaker 15: the highest score you can get is an 850.
- 34:30Speaker 9: So not to shade you.
- 34:32Speaker 4: That's okay. That's okay. I was just telling Kyle. I
- 34:36Speaker 4: was telling Kyle Payton and Rich in here. I had
- 34:38Speaker 4: a car repossessed one time. I remember I used to
- 34:40Speaker 4: get the pink slips all the time. I bought a phone.
- 34:43Speaker 4: I never paid for it. So I figured, how long
- 34:47Speaker 4: does that stay with you, Lindsay?
- 34:50Speaker 9: I'm sorry?
- 34:50Speaker 4: How long does that stay with you when a car
- 34:52Speaker 4: gets repossessed?
- 34:54Speaker 15: Um, it can take anywhere from seven to 10 years,
- 34:56Speaker 15: just like a bankruptcy. Um, so I mean, what's the credit,
- 35:01Speaker 15: like credit card company and, uh, your credit score, what
- 35:04Speaker 15: they want to see, like the three bureaus is you
- 35:07Speaker 15: being in debt and getting out of it actually. So, um,
- 35:11Speaker 15: spend money, like you raise up your, yeah, exactly. Spending money,
- 35:15Speaker 15: pay it off, spend money, pay it off. Like that's
- 35:17Speaker 15: what they want to see. Um, To be honest, the
- 35:20Speaker 15: credit bureaus like to see people with 15-plus credit cards.
- 35:24Speaker 15: Do I agree with that by any means?
- 35:27Speaker 3: No.
- 35:27Speaker 15: That's a lot.
- 35:29Speaker 4: It is.
- 35:30Speaker 2: It's a lot. You actually do a disservice to yourself.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Let's say if you have one credit card and you
- 35:35Speaker 2: don't really charge anything on it and you pay cash.
- 35:37Speaker 2: So when you go to buy a house, you probably
- 35:39Speaker 2: have a low credit score even though you have zero debt.
- 35:43Speaker 9: A hundred percent.
- 35:45Speaker 4: All right, Lindsay.
- 35:45Speaker 2: I think that's kind of a mess.
- 35:49Speaker 15: No, you're very knowledgeable. So, but again, you know, John
- 35:52Speaker 15: J just hearing your seven 50, that's a great score,
- 35:54Speaker 15: but yeah, you can get an eight 50.
- 35:57Speaker 8: What would knock me down? Like why, why do I
- 35:59Speaker 8: not have an eight 50? What could be on it?
- 36:00Speaker 8: What takes you down a hundred points? Or is it
- 36:02Speaker 8: 10 points?
- 36:03Speaker 9: It could be just your use.
- 36:05Speaker 15: It sounds like your use. If you don't have anything delinquent,
- 36:08Speaker 15: missed payments, anything like that, just your use.
- 36:11Speaker 9: My use?
- 36:11Speaker 15: Yeah, your use. Using your credit cards and racking them
- 36:19Speaker 15: up and then paying them off, kind of sitting with
- 36:22Speaker 15: a balance, right? People who pay off their credit cards
- 36:25Speaker 15: every single month don't have a great credit score either
- 36:28Speaker 15: because you want to sit with a balance.
- 36:30Speaker 4: For a little bit.
- 36:31Speaker 15: It's like two to three months.
- 36:33Speaker 2: You're gaming the system.
- 36:34Speaker 7: The system is wrong.
- 36:35Speaker 4: It is wrong.
- 36:35Speaker 7: You know what I mean? It seems like if you're
- 36:36Speaker 7: like a responsible financial person, your credit score isn't quite
- 36:40Speaker 7: as high.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I would think if you're going to go buy a
- 36:43Speaker 2: house soon, if your credit score is as shockingly low
- 36:46Speaker 2: as we think it is based on what you were
- 36:48Speaker 2: saying before, you would think that they just want to
- 36:50Speaker 2: look at your debt to income. Like how much... money
- 36:53Speaker 2: do you not spend so that you can afford the house?
- 36:57Speaker 2: But they're looking at how much debt do you have
- 36:59Speaker 2: that you sort of kind of pay off? And the
- 37:01Speaker 2: more debt that you sort of kind of pay off,
- 37:03Speaker 2: the better off you are.
- 37:03Speaker 8: We're going to turn it to Dave Ramsey here. I
- 37:04Speaker 8: thought we were going to talk about, like, fun things
- 37:06Speaker 8: you do instead of... Hey, Lindsay, thank you for calling in.
- 37:09Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Tim, good morning. You're on the air.
- 37:12Speaker 9: You know, the thing is, is when you're young, you
- 37:16Speaker 9: go to the club and you see a guy or
- 37:18Speaker 9: you see a girl across the thing and you walk
- 37:21Speaker 9: over and you're like, Gang, gang, you're banging.
- 37:23Speaker 8: Let me get those digits.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Do you guys share it?
- 37:26Speaker 9: Like 602-260-1047.
- 37:27Speaker 13: There's my number.
- 37:28Speaker 14: Call me up.
- 37:29Speaker 4: They're like, cool, cool.
- 37:30Speaker 7: But when you're older, the whole thing is like, oh,
- 37:34Speaker 7: let me go there and get those digits.
- 37:35Speaker 17: And you're like, no, I don't want your phone number.
- 37:38Speaker 17: I want to know what your debt-to-income ratio is.
- 37:39Speaker 6: What's your bank account balance?
- 37:40Speaker 9: What's that 457 look like?
- 37:42Speaker 11: How many kids you got?
- 37:44Speaker 4: Are your house paid off?
- 37:45Speaker 2: You rent a room.
- 37:46Speaker 11: Yeah, like when you're older.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Like, Your entire, like, spectrum of, like, what responsibility looks
- 37:55Speaker 4: like or what's important changes. Very good. Good point, Tim.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Thanks for calling in, brother. Very true. Very true.
- 38:04Speaker 8: So I'm in a little bit of a dilemma, and
- 38:07Speaker 8: I feel like I made the decision already, but so
- 38:10Speaker 8: it involves Ella Langley. So she is all over the
- 38:13Speaker 8: news right now, first of all, because she broke, like, the, what,
- 38:16Speaker 8: she's got the longest-running number one song in U.S.
- 38:18Speaker 4: History.
- 38:19Speaker 7: Yeah, she beat Mariah Carey, which is amazing.
- 38:22Speaker 8: And, in fact, so she posted on her Instagram this
- 38:25Speaker 8: right here when she found out this is what happened.
- 38:28Speaker 18: What?
- 38:29Speaker 7: Thank you so much.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Thank you for loving this song, for listening to it.
- 38:33Speaker 5: I just don't even know what to say at this point.
- 38:35Speaker 5: It's changing my life. It's changing lives of the writers
- 38:37Speaker 5: of this song. It's changing lives of my family. And
- 38:41Speaker 5: it is truly growing an atmosphere for something I'm going
- 38:45Speaker 5: to be able to do the rest of my life.
- 38:47Speaker 5: And I'm going to go out and celebrate tonight. And
- 38:49Speaker 5: I'm really excited to experience a moment like this in
- 38:53Speaker 5: my life.
- 38:53Speaker 6: I don't know how else to say it. Just thank
- 38:55Speaker 6: you so much. And cheese and tea.
- 38:58Speaker 12: Wow.
- 38:58Speaker 11: That's the one.
- 38:59Speaker 4: Oh, Choosing Tea.
- 39:01Speaker 7: Choosing Tea.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Oh, it's my wife. Because I like coffee, she chooses tea.
- 39:06Speaker 2: What a crazy accomplishment to have that song be number
- 39:08Speaker 2: one for so many weeks. It's nuts.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Yeah. So the Mariah Carey song, I mean, it's just legendary, right?
- 39:14Speaker 7: All I want for Christmas is you. I mean, like,
- 39:17Speaker 7: is there a better song?
- 39:18Speaker 8: So I know Choosing Texas. I know that song. In fact,
- 39:21Speaker 8: that's one of those songs that, like, it's in my
- 39:24Speaker 8: head all day, right?
- 39:26Speaker 4: All day. So here's what happened. I got invited to
- 39:29Speaker 4: go to her concert that's cool in los.
- 39:31Speaker 7: Angeles right that's even more cool.
- 39:34Speaker 8: And and normally i get invited to go to places
- 39:37Speaker 8: especially a concert or a sporting event i don't really
- 39:40Speaker 8: want to go like we are aware yeah i actually
- 39:43Speaker 8: and this is What I'm trying to share with you
- 39:44Speaker 8: guys is some sort of, if it's maturity or I'm
- 39:48Speaker 8: trying to be different about certain things. So the people
- 39:52Speaker 8: that invited my wife and I to go to the
- 39:55Speaker 8: concert I really enjoy these people. I enjoy spending time
- 39:58Speaker 8: with them a lot. And I've never had that before.
- 40:01Speaker 2: That is different.
- 40:01Speaker 7: That sounds new.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I've never heard you say that one time. I really
- 40:05Speaker 2: enjoy being with these people.
- 40:08Speaker 8: And I think they enjoy spending time with us, right?
- 40:10Speaker 8: We go to dinner all the time. We do stuff together.
- 40:12Speaker 8: I do stuff with the guy all the time. I
- 40:13Speaker 8: go hiking with the guy.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I love this. I love this couple. And here's my
- 40:18Speaker 4: dilemma is when I go to a concert, I'm not
- 40:21Speaker 4: a fun person. Do you know what I mean? I'm
- 40:23Speaker 4: not drinking and dancing around. You're just sitting the whole time?
- 40:27Speaker 2: He's looking for his out.
- 40:28Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 40:29Speaker 8: I will be staring at the guitar player. I'm staring
- 40:32Speaker 8: at the singer. I'm watching behind the scenes. I'm not
- 40:35Speaker 8: shaking my butt and dancing around. And my dilemma is
- 40:38Speaker 8: if I say yes and go to this concert and
- 40:40Speaker 8: I'm at the concert and I don't show them that
- 40:43Speaker 8: I'm having a good time, is that going to ruin
- 40:46Speaker 8: our friendship? Because I've said before, I don't think I'm
- 40:48Speaker 8: a very good friend. And I don't know so many
- 40:51Speaker 8: friend rules. So I feel like I feel like I
- 40:55Speaker 8: shouldn't go because I might ruin their experience.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Does that make sense?
- 41:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Yeah, they're huge.
- 41:03Speaker 7: They're going to be singing every word. And they're going
- 41:06Speaker 7: to be like, look at this buzzkill. Choose in Texas,
- 41:08Speaker 7: I can tell.
- 41:09Speaker 11: And you're like.
- 41:09Speaker 4: No, I'll know the Choose in Texas one. It's her
- 41:11Speaker 4: other songs I won't know. I hope she has, you know,
- 41:14Speaker 4: Choose in Arizona, Choose in Arkansas, Choose in Mississippi. I
- 41:16Speaker 4: don't know what else she has, but I'm going to
- 41:18Speaker 4: be like. So do you get my dilemma?
- 41:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 8: Like, am I going to ruin their experience? And are
- 41:23Speaker 8: they going to go, these guys are fuddy duddies.
- 41:25Speaker 2: You're dinner fun, but are you concert fun?
- 41:28Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 41:28Speaker 8: I know I'm not concert fun. I know I'm not
- 41:31Speaker 8: concert fun. I can stand in the front row of,
- 41:34Speaker 8: of Taylor Swift. And I would just be staring.
- 41:36Speaker 2: She might stop down the show and go, Hey, you're,
- 41:38Speaker 2: you're crushing my vibe.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Part of them.
- 41:41Speaker 7: I think that, that may go, I don't, why do
- 41:44Speaker 7: we invite them?
- 41:45Speaker 4: That's exactly what I'm getting at. Is this going.
- 41:48Speaker 7: To ruin next time they have a dinner thing? They're
- 41:51Speaker 7: not going to invite you because they've had the proof
- 41:53Speaker 7: that you guys are fun at dinner.
- 41:56Speaker 4: It's a serious, stupid dilemma that is in my head now.
- 42:00Speaker 8: And like my wife last night was like, hey, are
- 42:02Speaker 8: we going to go to this?
- 42:03Speaker 4: And I'm like, yeah, I want to go to it.
- 42:05Speaker 4: And then I thought, I don't want to. I want
- 42:09Speaker 4: them to know that I'm not going for the concert.
- 42:11Speaker 4: I'm going to be with them.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Right. But also, I don't think you say that to people.
- 42:16Speaker 2: No, for sure.
- 42:17Speaker 10: Especially if they're inviting you to a concert, like they
- 42:19Speaker 10: want you to enjoy the experience with them.
- 42:21Speaker 8: But they also got to know that I've been to
- 42:24Speaker 8: a billion concerts. Like I don't. want to ever go
- 42:27Speaker 8: to another concert again for the rest of my life. Like,
- 42:30Speaker 8: that's what I'm trying to tell you guys. I don't
- 42:32Speaker 8: want to go to a concert, but I enjoy being
- 42:34Speaker 8: with them and they're so much fun, but they drink
- 42:35Speaker 8: and they party, they dance. And I'm going to be
- 42:37Speaker 8: standing there like, Oh, look at you guys. I'm going
- 42:40Speaker 8: to be like fake dancing.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 2: What's going to happen?
- 42:43Speaker 4: I'm going to dance like Trump. You know the way
- 42:44Speaker 4: Trump dances? I'll be like, oh, what's he do? He
- 42:47Speaker 4: does this. Oh, he points? He does. I'll be like.
- 42:49Speaker 2: What's going to happen? They're all drinking, having a good
- 42:51Speaker 2: time dancing, and they look over at you as you're
- 42:54Speaker 2: just standing there. Come on, get up and dance with the.
- 42:57Speaker 2: What's going to happen then?
- 42:59Speaker 4: That moment.
- 42:59Speaker 7: You got to do it.
- 43:00Speaker 2: That moment.
- 43:00Speaker 4: I know.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I will.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I will. I know. I know. I will. Anyway, we're
- 43:04Speaker 4: going to play Minute to Win it. We need a contestant. 877-937-1047.
- 43:06Speaker 8: Do you have the Choose in Texas hook?
- 43:10Speaker 4: Did you say you had it? Oh, I thought you
- 43:11Speaker 4: said you might have had that.
- 43:12Speaker 7: Not off the top of my head.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Oh, no. Okay. I might have it, too. Do you
- 43:15Speaker 4: have it? Would we have it? Just so you know.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I can find the song. Just so you know the
- 43:19Speaker 2: Choose in Texas song. I have her. I've got the
- 43:23Speaker 2: blue volleyball.
- 43:24Speaker 4: Of Hold On. Let me see it. I don't even
- 43:29Speaker 4: know how to spell choosing.
- 43:32Speaker 7: I got it.
- 43:33Speaker 4: C-H-O-O-S-I-N.
- 43:35Speaker 6: Apostrophe.
- 43:36Speaker 7: Wow, it didn't come up.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I threw it up on the line. Oh, you did? Okay.
- 43:44Speaker 4: There it is. So just in case you don't know
- 43:45Speaker 4: the Choose Texas line, which you should.
- 43:47Speaker 5: It doesn't take a crystal ball to see. A cowboy
- 43:52Speaker 5: always finds a way to live.
- 43:59Speaker 6: He's choosing Texas, I can tell.
- 44:03Speaker 4: That's such a good song.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 44:06Speaker 8: All right, we're going to play Minute to Win It.
- 44:07Speaker 8: We got $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. By the way, yesterday,
- 44:11Speaker 8: two things. We dropped a second date update. It's on
- 44:14Speaker 8: our podcast, if you missed second date update.
- 44:16Speaker 4: And if you want it directly sent to your phone,
- 44:18Speaker 4: go to our Instagram. And there's a video up there.
- 44:21Speaker 4: You just type in the word date and we'll send
- 44:23Speaker 4: it to your phone. There is a text that says, Oh,
- 44:29Speaker 4: my God. Second date update is on YouTube. Uncensored. I'm
- 44:35Speaker 4: so excited. So that's so stated. Go to YouTube.
- 44:40Speaker 8: Search John Jay and Rich and follow and subscribe to
- 44:43Speaker 8: John Jay and Rich YouTube channel.
- 44:44Speaker 4: And you can see the whole thing happening.
- 44:47Speaker 8: All of us in the studio doing it and live
- 44:49Speaker 8: and the cuss words and everything because we can put
- 44:51Speaker 8: the cuss words on. If there were cuss words, I
- 44:53Speaker 8: wonder what happened. Oh, was it dirty? I can't remember
- 44:56Speaker 8: why they were so excited it was uncensored. There might
- 44:59Speaker 8: have been a couple of.
- 45:00Speaker 7: Why does yesterday feel so long ago?
- 45:04Speaker 2: It might have been a couple. It's the director's cut
- 45:07Speaker 2: of the second date update.
- 45:08Speaker 4: The whole part of second date update was posted on
- 45:10Speaker 4: YouTube uncensored. Thank you. I'm like, OK, I'm trying to
- 45:13Speaker 4: remember what was the censored part. Anyway. All right. James,
- 45:16Speaker 4: good morning. Good morning. All right, James, you are our
- 45:20Speaker 4: contestant for a minute to win it.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Let's do this.
- 45:24Speaker 4: Where are you? What part of town? I think it's
- 45:26Speaker 4: important to know where you are.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm in Phoenix, right on 36th and Thomas.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Oh, 36th Street or 36th Ave?
- 45:38Speaker 9: Street.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 45:39Speaker 13: I stay away from the Avs.
- 45:42Speaker 7: She's very close to us right now. All right.
- 45:45Speaker 4: All right. Good luck, man. Here you go.
- 45:47Speaker 10: John Jay and Rich have $ 1, 000 cash for you from
- 45:50Speaker 10: Peoria Ford right now.
- 45:52Speaker 4: Minute to win it.
- 45:53Speaker 2: Okay, James, there is 60 seconds on the clock. You
- 45:55Speaker 2: get all 10 of these right, Nebro, and you win $ 1, 000.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Let's go. What pop star played Elphaba in the movie Wicked?
- 46:02Speaker 4: Wicked, Wicked.
- 46:11Speaker 15: Oh, my goodness.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Elphaba, Wicked, Wicked, Wicked, Wicked. That's right.
- 46:20Speaker 6: Oh, my goodness.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Pop star.
- 46:22Speaker 16: What's her name? Ariana Grande?
- 46:24Speaker 2: That is correct. That's not correct. Oh, that's right. That
- 46:29Speaker 2: isn't correct.
- 46:30Speaker 7: Cynthia Erivo is a pop.
- 46:32Speaker 6: Star, though. I was very confused with that question.
- 46:36Speaker 7: I feel like you've got to give him another chance
- 46:39Speaker 7: with that question.
- 46:40Speaker 2: I was like, there's.
- 46:42Speaker 7: Going to be a lot of backlash on this one.
- 46:46Speaker 2: You know what?
- 46:47Speaker 4: That's not on you.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. That's not on you. I'm going
- 46:50Speaker 2: to give you another chance. You want to go? Yes,
- 46:51Speaker 2: let's do it. You want to go?
- 46:53Speaker 11: Oh, let's go.
- 46:53Speaker 2: All right, let's go. All right. What 2009 comedy follows
- 46:57Speaker 2: a bachelor party gone terribly wrong in Las Vegas?
- 47:02Speaker 6: Oh, Hangover.
- 47:03Speaker 2: This insect bug is known for being organized and can
- 47:06Speaker 2: lift up to 50 times its own body weight.
- 47:10Speaker 15: Oh, um, um, uh.
- 47:13Speaker 16: Oh, Ants?
- 47:15Speaker 6: What U.S.
- 47:15Speaker 2: City is known as the Big Easy?
- 47:22Speaker 7: Big Easy, Big Easy, Big Easy, Big Easy.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness. I'm lost.
- 47:32Speaker 15: I'm going to have to say Atlanta.
- 47:34Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 47:38Speaker 2: New Orleans, the Big Easy.
- 47:40Speaker 16: Oh, my God, and I'm from New Orleans.
- 47:42Speaker 1: What?
- 47:42Speaker 2: Are you kidding me, James?
- 47:46Speaker 16: Are you kidding me?
- 47:50Speaker 11: God dang it.
- 47:51Speaker 13: Oh, my goodness.
- 47:52Speaker 10: That's how you know when the pressure gets to you.
- 47:56Speaker 11: The Big Easy.
- 47:57Speaker 2: Where have I heard that from?
- 47:58Speaker 9: Okay, thank you guys so much.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Hold on, James.
- 48:03Speaker 4: We're going to set you up with a Del Taco
- 48:05Speaker 4: gift card, man. Okay. Thanks for listening.
- 48:09Speaker 9: No, thank you, guys.
- 48:11Speaker 4: So we are.
- 48:12Speaker 8: Like 25 minutes away from free Disneyland tickets. We also
- 48:16Speaker 8: got Kanye tickets in less than an hour. We also
- 48:18Speaker 8: got Public Enemy tickets we're going to throw around there, too.
- 48:22Speaker 8: I have to, because on Friday, we do New Music Friday, right?
- 48:25Speaker 8: And I think the biggest thing is going to be
- 48:26Speaker 8: the Taylor Swift new song.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 48:27Speaker 7: Four new songs.
- 48:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and so....
- 48:31Speaker 8: I feel like there's another album coming out that's going
- 48:34Speaker 8: to get thrown under the table that no one's going
- 48:35Speaker 8: to remember. So I thought I'd highlight it today, whether
- 48:38Speaker 8: you guys saw it or not. But Wendy's the Restaurant.
- 48:43Speaker 4: Did you see this? No. Wendy's the Restaurant is releasing
- 48:46Speaker 4: an emo album. Oh, it's today.
- 48:48Speaker 8: Oh, I saw the cover photo. Yeah, it's a six-song
- 48:51Speaker 8: track list on their Instagram story. This is Wendy's, the restaurant.
- 48:55Speaker 8: These are the names of the songs. She said she
- 48:58Speaker 8: didn't want fries. Parentheses, she lied. Salt in the wound.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Oh, good.
- 49:05Speaker 4: Good.
- 49:06Speaker 8: That's a good emo title. I miss the sunroom. The
- 49:10Speaker 8: best combo meal on the worst night of my life.
- 49:14Speaker 8: It's not a phase. It's a 10 piece. And the
- 49:18Speaker 8: last track on the album is Mr.
- 49:19Speaker 9: Frost.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Funeral funeral. It's unclear.
- 49:22Speaker 8: This will hit Spotify, Apple music or sold on a
- 49:25Speaker 8: CD or an iHeart app or just at Wendy's.
- 49:27Speaker 4: Uh, anyway, so it is the Wendy's emo album.
- 49:31Speaker 7: I wonder if they originally had it planned for Friday,
- 49:34Speaker 7: but with the Taylor Swift news, they're like, we got
- 49:35Speaker 7: to move this up. Just put it out there today.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 49:38Speaker 4: Exactly. I wonder, let me see if you go to
- 49:39Speaker 4: the Wendy's or.
- 49:40Speaker 10: Yeah, the cover photo is like really funny because it's
- 49:43Speaker 10: a lot like, she's like a lot like moodier and
- 49:46Speaker 10: she has the bangs across her eye.
- 49:48Speaker 6: And then the caption was, it's not a phase, but
- 49:50Speaker 6: I didn't know it was going to actually be an album.
- 49:52Speaker 6: That's so funny.
- 49:53Speaker 4: Let's see. Oh, full album out now. Right on. And
- 49:59Speaker 4: it's like, Oh, it's on Spotify, Apple Music. It's everywhere.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Let me see.
- 50:05Speaker 2: That's a commitment.
- 50:06Speaker 4: I wonder who's the person. She said she didn't want
- 50:08Speaker 4: fries with that. Whoops, I hit it twice. Not bad.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Sounds like producer Nick music. He loves that. I hope
- 50:30Speaker 2: that's not AI. I hope they got a real band.
- 50:33Speaker 4: It says featuring Maddie Mullins and the Memphis Mayfire. So
- 50:38Speaker 4: I guess they're real artists.
- 50:39Speaker 2: It's pretty good. I don't hate it. I think it
- 50:41Speaker 2: sounds good.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Okay, Wendy's.
- 50:43Speaker 16: Right?
- 50:44Speaker 4: Anyway, so just like... By the way, also, I think.
- 50:46Speaker 8: I was wondering if Taylor Swift, she's... You know, we
- 50:48Speaker 8: know the soft side of her, the really nice side
- 50:50Speaker 8: of her.
- 50:50Speaker 4: And I thought, what if she's literally.
- 50:54Speaker 8: competitive with ella langley because ella langley beat mariah carey
- 50:58Speaker 8: and taylor swift wants that title she has every other
- 51:01Speaker 8: title what if she's like i'm dropping an album.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Friday so if she has her album come out again
- 51:06Speaker 2: and it's an encore it can be on the charts
- 51:09Speaker 2: longer than anything else.
- 51:10Speaker 8: This year yeah something like they like she's just like
- 51:13Speaker 8: there's no way like behind the scenes they're probably like
- 51:15Speaker 8: hey just to let you know that ella langley's song
- 51:18Speaker 8: is going to be number one it'll be break mariah
- 51:20Speaker 8: carey's record next week that's what's happening she's like what
- 51:24Speaker 8: Then we're going to drop those songs we taped in Sweden.
- 51:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Like, I'm just wondering.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Anyway.
- 51:30Speaker 8: A couple things we're going to get into. We're going
- 51:32Speaker 8: to get into the friendship thing or the couples thing.
- 51:33Speaker 8: What do you want to get into, Kyle?
- 51:34Speaker 7: Either one. I think they're both great. What do people
- 51:37Speaker 7: like more? Friends or people that are.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Well, since I was just talking about friendship, let's do
- 51:40Speaker 4: the friendship one.
- 51:41Speaker 6: Okay.
- 51:42Speaker 9: Right now?
- 51:42Speaker 4: Yeah, no, right now. Let's do a little setup. Do
- 51:44Speaker 4: a little setup for it.
- 51:45Speaker 7: So, I feel like everyone kind of understands that there's, like,
- 51:48Speaker 7: social media has had almost come full circle. It's like,
- 51:50Speaker 7: when it came out, everyone thought it, like, connected people more, right?
- 51:53Speaker 7: And then now... It's like, does it really connect us
- 51:57Speaker 7: the way we thought originally or is it kind of
- 51:59Speaker 7: like a fake friendship? So they did this study and
- 52:04Speaker 7: they actually found that social media doesn't really replace the
- 52:06Speaker 7: emotional support people get from real life friendships, but a
- 52:08Speaker 7: lot of people interact on social media and feel that
- 52:12Speaker 7: they're being a good friend. So they came out with
- 52:15Speaker 7: a bunch of things that we do that feel like friendship,
- 52:18Speaker 7: but probably really aren't. Like you feel like you're doing enough,
- 52:21Speaker 7: but it's really not. So sending memes instead of actually
- 52:24Speaker 7: calling or physically texting your friend, not really being a friend.
- 52:29Speaker 7: It may connect you. You may have something to talk
- 52:31Speaker 7: about the next time. But just sending memes back and forth,
- 52:35Speaker 7: that's not really friendship.
- 52:36Speaker 4: I have like four or five friends. That's all we do.
- 52:38Speaker 7: I know.
- 52:39Speaker 8: In fact, some of the friends I've made are like
- 52:42Speaker 8: I've never met them in person. They're just people you
- 52:45Speaker 8: send memes to back and forth.
- 52:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 52:46Speaker 7: So then they also say like watching someone's stories and
- 52:50Speaker 7: then you feel like you've caught up with them, but
- 52:52Speaker 7: you haven't really.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I guess that makes sense.
- 52:54Speaker 7: Maybe they put something on their stories because they're at
- 52:56Speaker 7: a work event, but you don't necessarily know it's a
- 52:59Speaker 7: work event, but that's not really catching up with their
- 53:01Speaker 7: life and finding out how they're actually doing. Liking a
- 53:04Speaker 7: birthday post instead of texting or even commenting on the
- 53:07Speaker 7: birthday post instead of actually texting or calling. Not the
- 53:10Speaker 7: same thing. No, you're not making a connection that way.
- 53:14Speaker 7: They say being in a group chat online. but never
- 53:16Speaker 7: seeing each other is also not as much of a
- 53:20Speaker 7: friend thing. Like you guys are all like, we should
- 53:22Speaker 7: totally do this. That's not really connecting. So on social media,
- 53:28Speaker 7: you feel like you know everything that happens in someone's
- 53:32Speaker 7: life because you're.
- 53:33Speaker 12: Like, oh my gosh, yeah, they posted this, this and this.
- 53:35Speaker 7: But that's really not friendship. That's really not connection because
- 53:38Speaker 7: they're showing you the highlight reel. So your friend may
- 53:41Speaker 7: actually be going through something really difficult or a hard time,
- 53:44Speaker 7: but they're not necessarily maybe going to post that. So
- 53:47Speaker 7: you're not really being a good friend by feeling like
- 53:49Speaker 7: you know what's going on in their life just because
- 53:50Speaker 7: you've been looking at them.
- 53:51Speaker 8: So you've got to call them or go visit them
- 53:52Speaker 8: or make a lunch to be, because that's another thing.
- 53:54Speaker 8: All these people like that live to be a hundred
- 53:56Speaker 8: and something years old. One of the common things they
- 53:58Speaker 8: all have is they have these social circles where they
- 54:00Speaker 8: all go out and they do stuff.
- 54:02Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 54:02Speaker 15: Right.
- 54:02Speaker 4: So that's, so not just social media, do it in person.
- 54:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:05Speaker 7: And it's like been scientifically proven. Like human connection is
- 54:08Speaker 7: so important for your actual wellbeing and your mental health.
- 54:11Speaker 7: And so the last thing they have on this list
- 54:13Speaker 7: is just assuming your friends are okay because they're posting. Well,
- 54:16Speaker 7: you're posting. You look like you're having a great time
- 54:18Speaker 7: in your life. Obviously you're doing great. But like I
- 54:21Speaker 7: just said, you never know what's going on behind the screen.
- 54:23Speaker 7: So you have to kind of like really check in.
- 54:25Speaker 4: You know what I heard too?
- 54:27Speaker 8: You know how when something happens in someone's life and
- 54:29Speaker 8: you go, well, if you ever, Hey, you call him.
- 54:31Speaker 8: If you ever need anything, just let me know. I'm
- 54:32Speaker 8: here for you.
- 54:33Speaker 4: I've read this thing about how that's a horrible thing
- 54:36Speaker 4: to do.
- 54:36Speaker 16: I know.
- 54:37Speaker 7: Because most people have a hard time asking for help.
- 54:40Speaker 4: Because now you're putting the pressure on them to ask you.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 54:43Speaker 8: So the guy that I was reading the article about
- 54:45Speaker 8: said that if that happens, do the thing.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Don't ask. Do the thing. Be like... I'm bringing by dinner.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:53Speaker 8: Hey, if you ever need dinner or you need help,
- 54:54Speaker 8: just do it.
- 54:55Speaker 4: Right?
- 54:55Speaker 8: Even if someone else already did it, just do it.
- 54:57Speaker 8: If you're going through something, I'm bringing by dinner. Because
- 54:59Speaker 8: I remember when... I think it was when my mom died.
- 55:01Speaker 4: I think. I remember... It could have been my mom.
- 55:03Speaker 4: But he's now currently the head coach of UNLV basketball,
- 55:07Speaker 4: Josh Pastner. He said to me, man, if you ever
- 55:10Speaker 4: need anything, let me know. I said, you know, I'd
- 55:12Speaker 4: like a green tea. And he never brought me.
- 55:17Speaker 6: A green tea.
- 55:17Speaker 2: No, he never did?
- 55:18Speaker 4: I brought it up all the time. I was like, hey, well,
- 55:20Speaker 4: where's my green tea? You said you didn't need it.
- 55:21Speaker 4: He let me know. And I'm like, oh, I want
- 55:23Speaker 4: my green tea.
- 55:25Speaker 2: What was his reason for not doing it?
- 55:26Speaker 4: I don't know. I just remember putting him on the spot.
- 55:28Speaker 4: He's like, um, um, um.
- 55:29Speaker 2: It seems like he would be right on the spot
- 55:31Speaker 2: for that. He would be the guy to go get
- 55:32Speaker 2: that green tea.
- 55:33Speaker 4: It was something tragic. There was no green tea.
- 55:35Speaker 7: Yeah, and I was like, yeah.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Rude. He said, what do you need?
- 55:37Speaker 8: He let me know, and he never brought it. I
- 55:40Speaker 8: always talk about relationships and actually everything. It's the little
- 55:43Speaker 8: things that matter to me, right? I think the little
- 55:45Speaker 8: things are important.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 55:47Speaker 7: And they actually just came out with a list of
- 55:49Speaker 7: the little things that can signal that you're in a
- 55:52Speaker 7: strong relationship. Sure, you can show off the big things
- 55:56Speaker 7: to people, but there are actually little things that show
- 55:59Speaker 7: everyone else that you are in a strong relationship. So
- 56:00Speaker 7: I'm going to tell you guys these and I want
- 56:02Speaker 7: to know if you think, yeah, you agree or I
- 56:04Speaker 7: think that's kind of overrated.
- 56:05Speaker 4: You know what? Jen is calling right now. Should we
- 56:07Speaker 4: start off with Jen?
- 56:08Speaker 7: Yeah, Jen.
- 56:09Speaker 4: Jen, the little things in a relationship that prove that
- 56:11Speaker 4: it's stronger.
- 56:11Speaker 9: Morning.
- 56:14Speaker 16: So I guess being able to just sit and hang
- 56:18Speaker 16: out and just do your own thing together in the
- 56:21Speaker 16: same area and comfortable silences, like without having to entertain
- 56:25Speaker 16: each other and just compromises on anything, whether it be
- 56:32Speaker 16: food or events or whatever. whatever, just compromising and then comfortable, comfortable,
- 56:37Speaker 16: like hangout, I guess.
- 56:40Speaker 7: I think you just nailed it, Jen. Cause like the
- 56:42Speaker 7: number two on the list is that you can sit
- 56:45Speaker 7: in silence without feeling awkward.
- 56:47Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 56:47Speaker 7: And that, that right there, it shows comfort and security.
- 56:50Speaker 4: Thank you, Jen.
- 56:51Speaker 16: Everyone likes to talk all the time and, and you know,
- 56:54Speaker 16: like that's just some people that that's how they are.
- 56:56Speaker 16: Some people are quiet. Some people are, you know, and
- 57:00Speaker 16: the worst is what's wrong.
- 57:01Speaker 4: What's wrong. Why are you quiet?
- 57:04Speaker 6: That's true.
- 57:06Speaker 2: A little bit of confidence in your quiet relationship is
- 57:08Speaker 2: a good thing. That's good. I like that.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Thanks, Jen.
- 57:14Speaker 8: Okay, so these are little things in your relationship that
- 57:16Speaker 8: can prove that it's strong?
- 57:17Speaker 7: Yes, that signal you have a strong relationship. You have
- 57:21Speaker 7: inside jokes. They say inside jokes show that you kind
- 57:25Speaker 7: of built your own little shared world. You can laugh
- 57:27Speaker 7: with each other and nobody else has to know what
- 57:29Speaker 7: you're laughing at. That's perfectly fine. That can show that
- 57:33Speaker 7: you actually have a strong relationship.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Well, that's good.
- 57:35Speaker 7: Inside jokes are the best.
- 57:36Speaker 10: I was going to say, I feel like that's you
- 57:38Speaker 10: and your husband to the T. You guys always have
- 57:41Speaker 10: the fun little insiders.
- 57:43Speaker 7: Yeah, and then you look at each other and you're like, yes, apple.
- 57:46Speaker 7: Everyone's like, who cares about an apple?
- 57:48Speaker 4: I like the inside jokes we have on the show. LOL, Barra.
- 57:52Speaker 4: That's my newest one.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Hey, did I tell you that somebody at the pharmacy
- 57:55Speaker 2: told me that just the other day? I went to
- 57:57Speaker 2: go pick up a thing for Stacy and he's like, LOL, Barra.
- 58:00Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 58:02Speaker 7: I also love when inside jokes can become everybody's jokes too.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Yeah, they have been now.
- 58:05Speaker 7: So one little thing that can signal that you have
- 58:08Speaker 7: a strong relationship is that you can complain about each
- 58:11Speaker 7: other without being cruel. You can have frustration without contempt.
- 58:15Speaker 7: And that actually means that you have a strong relationship
- 58:18Speaker 7: because you're comfortable enough with each other to be honest
- 58:21Speaker 7: and truthful.
- 58:21Speaker 4: That's good.
- 58:22Speaker 6: Like sometimes I need you to shut up and leave
- 58:24Speaker 6: me alone. Okay.
- 58:25Speaker 7: And he's okay with that.
- 58:26Speaker 6: And I'm going to tell you that. And you are
- 58:28Speaker 6: going to be fine with it.
- 58:29Speaker 4: So I'm on the couch.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Don't make me cry.
- 58:30Speaker 8: I'm on the couch yesterday watching the newest episode of Mobland.
- 58:33Speaker 8: I don't know if you guys watch Mobland. It's freaking fantastic.
- 58:35Speaker 8: It's on Paramount Plus. I'm watching Mobland. There's 10 minutes
- 58:38Speaker 8: left of Mobland. My wife comes down and sits down
- 58:41Speaker 8: in the chair next to me.
- 58:42Speaker 4: And starts talking to me about some health issue that
- 58:44Speaker 4: she had because she just came back from the doctor.
- 58:46Speaker 4: And I pause it, and I let her talk. She talks.
- 58:49Speaker 8: And I'm thinking, okay, she's done. And then I look,
- 58:52Speaker 8: and I go, may I? And I press play on
- 58:55Speaker 8: the remote.
- 58:56Speaker 4: And she goes, okay. And I pause. I go, are
- 58:59Speaker 4: you not done? Are you done? And she's like, yeah,
- 59:01Speaker 4: I'm done. I'm like, okay. And I went, bing, and
- 59:03Speaker 4: I hit play, and I watched the rest of it.
- 59:05Speaker 4: Highly recommend.
- 59:06Speaker 8: But I think that's what I think you're what'd you
- 59:08Speaker 8: say was like complaining but not being.
- 59:10Speaker 7: But not being cruel.
- 59:11Speaker 4: I wasn't cruel. I just said, may I?
- 59:13Speaker 7: You were also doing something else without even realizing it
- 59:16Speaker 7: that does signal you have a strong relationship. And what
- 59:19Speaker 7: that is having separate hobbies. They say independence without feeling threatened. Like, yes,
- 59:25Speaker 7: you can go watch your shows. She doesn't have to
- 59:27Speaker 7: be sitting next to you every second of the day.
- 59:28Speaker 7: And she can go do yoga with her girlfriends and
- 59:30Speaker 7: play Mahjong.
- 59:31Speaker 4: She's playing Mahjong right now, I think. Really? That's so early.
- 59:34Speaker 4: She's got a Mahjong thing now and then she's got
- 59:35Speaker 4: a Mahjong thing tonight. Isn't that sad? My hobby is
- 59:38Speaker 4: watching TV.
- 59:40Speaker 2: But you're so good at watching TV.
- 59:41Speaker 18: I know.
- 59:42Speaker 2: That is your, what are your best skills is watching
- 59:44Speaker 2: a TV show.
- 59:45Speaker 10: That is so important though. You do have to kind
- 59:47Speaker 10: of have your own life and your own thing. And
- 59:49Speaker 10: then when you're able to come together and do it together,
- 59:50Speaker 10: it makes that time just that much sweeter.
- 59:52Speaker 11: Yeah, I agree.
- 59:53Speaker 7: Um, I like this one, but it's also like, it's,
- 59:56Speaker 7: it's tough. So you can say, I need a minute
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: during an argument. They say this shows emotional regulation and
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: I don't know how I feel because I'm really like,
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: if we are starting this, we are finishing it. So
- 1:00:09Speaker 7: that's hard for me to do. But it's also like, yes,
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: if your partner says, hold on a minute, like I'm
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: going to say something I'm going to regret and it's
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: going to hurt. And I don't want to do that.
- 1:00:19Speaker 7: You have to be able to say that. So that
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: can show that you have a strong relationship.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: The I need a minute thing is good. My, my
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: aunt Dot, who was married for 75 years, my, they
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: never fought, but she said that she would say, I'm
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: going to need a minute. I'm And hopefully when I
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: come back from the prayer, you will do the right thing. Oh,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: my gosh.
- 1:00:37Speaker 10: Dang.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: That is challenge. That is checkmate right there. I'm going
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: to go.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: Pray for you. And when I come back, I hope
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: you've gotten it together.
- 1:00:44Speaker 16: Yes.
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: I don't necessarily know if, like, projecting guilt on your
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: partner is a little bit of a thing.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: But, I mean, if you're Uncle Joe, you're like, okay,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: I guess I'm going to do the right thing.
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: It's a good one.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: It's pretty good.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: For sure.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: And I also say, if you ask your partner's opinion,
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: even when you already know what you want... That can
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: be a little thing that signals you have a strong
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: relationship because you are valuing their perspective. I wonder if
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: this one's overrated because if you already know what you
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: want and then you ask them their opinion, but what
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: you wanted wasn't their opinion, it can almost backfire on
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: you a little bit because you're not choosing what their
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: advice was.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Sure.
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: Yeah, I feel like that one would definitely be an
- 1:01:21Speaker 10: issue in my relationship. Because I feel like Kadeem, my husband,
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: he disagrees with everything.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: He has a different take on everything.
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: And it just doesn't make me happy. I'm like, what
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: do you mean?
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: Anyway, but I think that that could be tricky for sure.
- 1:01:35Speaker 10: But it makes sense that you value your partner's opinion.
- 1:01:38Speaker 7: Yeah, because I'm sure you'd be like, why wouldn't you
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: ask me about that? I'm an expert in that field.
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: You know what I mean? I would have advice for
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: you in that situation. You want your perspective to be valued.
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: Yeah, I got all excited when my son asked me
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: for advice yesterday. I thought it was so great.
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: That's the best.
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: I mean, you are his dad.
- 1:01:55Speaker 11: Yeah, I know.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: So that makes sense.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: I know, but you don't want to be, everything you
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: learn about being a parent is, you know, when you're like,
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: when Kyle and your kids get in the car and
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: you ask them how their day is and they go, fine.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: What they say is don't ask them about their day.
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: And eventually they're going to start telling you about their day.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: So when my son comes home from work or from
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: school and I'm like, how was your day? Whatever.
- 1:02:14Speaker 8: But I didn't say anything. And then he's in there
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: making dinner and he goes, dad, can I ask you
- 1:02:18Speaker 8: some advice? And I was like, this worked.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: This is amazing.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, of course you can. Totally. And I was.
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: Like, yeah, grill the steak. That wasn't the advice. And
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: by the way, we need call 104 right now for
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: free Disney tickets.
- 1:02:32Speaker 9: 877-937-1047.
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: And there's one more little thing.
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: That can signal you have a strong relationship. I'm sure
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: there's more. Of course, if you have one, you can
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: call us and let us know. But you know what
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: stresses them out before they even say it. Experts say
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: that this is emotional attunement. You know your partner well
- 1:02:51Speaker 7: enough to know that if you're going to say X, Y, Z,
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: they're going to fly off the handle and then maybe
- 1:02:57Speaker 7: you choose not to. So knowing what stresses them out
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: without them having to say it signals you actually have
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: a strong relationship.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: No, that's good. Those are all good.
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: I think so.
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: Except for the one. Except for the one.
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: Except for those one or two that we didn't agree with.
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I think it's fun to see, like,
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: people in their relationships and how they deal with stress
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: and arguments and stuff. Because I do think that is
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: a big deal.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Okay, so where are we? Looking for caller 104. What
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: do we got?
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: You're caller 26.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: Ooh, 26. Good. After we get our winner. Or maybe
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: I can do it now. I saw this. This is
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: really crazy, I think. The headline is, places in the
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: United States you should avoid if the world goes haywire.
- 1:03:42Speaker 18: Ooh.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: Avoid. Okay.
- 1:03:44Speaker 6: Somewhere we should not be evacuating to.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: I would think it would be like all of the
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: major cities.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: Like L.A.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Because those would be the targets.
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you'll be surprised at some of the answers,
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: I think, and the reasons why, which... So.
- 1:03:57Speaker 8: Here's a cheerful little topic for you today. A writer
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: on Substack listed five places in the United States you
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: want to avoid if society's critical systems start breaking down.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: So what does that mean? Internet goes down, you know,
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: that kind of stuff.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: So number one, the Northeast, because it depends heavily on
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: complex infrastructure and supply chain. So the dense population can
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: cause big problems.
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: So like New York-ish area?
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Number two is California. You want to stay away from
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: California because of wildfires, earthquakes, and water shortages.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: Number four is Florida.
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: It could be in trouble due to hurricanes, sea level rise,
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: saltwater intrusion, and limited evacuation routes.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: So far, Arizona's good.
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: The industrial Midwest. It could be a problem due to
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: its aging infrastructure and harsh winter weather. Okay, so the
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: world goes to hell. Where do you avoid?
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Like electricity's out, internet's down, all that stuff.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: Okay, now listen to this. This is the last one
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: on the list. The Southwest Desert, specifically Phoenix. Come on.
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: Yeah, because the air conditioning, if you have no air.
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: It'll cause problems due to extreme heat and the dependence
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: on imported water.
- 1:05:10Speaker 9: What?
- 1:05:11Speaker 7: I never heard of that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: What do you mean imported water?
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: The Colorado River?
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: I don't understand. Does it run right through here?
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we got water problems.
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: We don't have the Colorado River.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: Yeah, in Yuma.
- 1:05:21Speaker 12: Where?
- 1:05:21Speaker 14: Right there.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: You go through Yuma. Colorado River, right there. I cross
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: it all the time.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know. We still got water problems. When
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: everything's fine, we got water issues. Like even as of yesterday.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: I would think that what happened yesterday.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Like political stuff.
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: Oh.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05:39Speaker 14: I know.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: Well, news to me.
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: I was like, if all hell breaks loose, this is
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: the place to be.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking.
- 1:05:44Speaker 7: Where does it say where to go?
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: No, there's probably a hundred articles.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: I feel like if all hell breaks loose, it's going
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: to be like in November and it's lovely here in November.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: So you're fine. Don't worry about it.
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I guess it would depend. It depends on the
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: time of year where all hell breaks loose.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: You don't need to AC in November. Leave your windows open.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: You're fine.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: So what number are we at looking for? Caller 104.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: Where are we, Dylan?
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: You're caller 99.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Oh, good.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: You're caller 100. You're caller 101.
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: You're caller 102.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: You're caller 103.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: All right, caller 104 is on line 25.
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: Okay.

- 1:07:00Speaker 4: good morning. Who's this?
- 1:07:02Speaker 16: Liana.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: I'm sorry, what's your name?
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: Liana.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Liana, you're caller 104.
- 1:07:09Speaker 16: You're lying.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: No, you are caller 104, Liana.
- 1:07:13Speaker 13: Oh, my God.
- 1:07:14Speaker 16: I've been trying for so long.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: Where are you? What part of town?
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:07:25Speaker 9: I'm in Tucson.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: All right. Okay, so Leanna, you've already made step one,
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: which is to be the right caller. Yes. Now you've
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: got to give us three of the magic words. Give
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: us one.
- 1:07:40Speaker 15: Workshop.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: Okay, give us another one.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Food.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry?
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Food.
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: Spell that.
- 1:07:51Speaker 9: Okay, okay, hold on, hold on. Let's do celebration. Yes.
- 1:07:57Speaker 13: And pole.
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: Yes. You got it.
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: Food.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Rihanna, you got it. You're going to Disneyland.
- 1:08:07Speaker 12: Yes.
- 1:08:07Speaker 15: My daughter's wanting to go for her birthday.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: You sound like you're totally out of breath. Are you okay?
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: Yeah, I woke up.
- 1:08:17Speaker 16: I took my medicine.
- 1:08:18Speaker 9: I woke up, and I started calling.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Oh, good.
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: Very good.
- 1:08:22Speaker 8: Okay, well, you hold on the line because you just
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: won four two-day, one park-per-day passes, and you qualify for
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: the grand prize, which is three-day, one park-per-day passes and
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: a hotel at the Disneyland.
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: Resort, Leanna.
- 1:08:35Speaker 9: Thank you.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Congratulations. And we do it again tomorrow.
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: And all day today, you listen, collect the magic words,
- 1:08:47Speaker 8: collect the magic words, and you win. Kyle, what was
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: that video I saw your husband when you were on
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: his shoulders and climbing all over his kitchen?
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: I was like, that's so funny it wasn't really there's
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: not a huge story to it it was my daughter's 12th.
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: Birthday yesterday I watched it twice.
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: And she had balloons and she let the balloons go
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: and so they were all the way up on the
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: ceiling and so to reach them I stood on my
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: husband's shoulders which is terrifying by the way I'm not
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: really sure how, like, the flying will end us do it.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: Because it was very scary. But we got the balloons.
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: It was a success. Yeah, I didn't. I was like,
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: I'm about to break my legs right now if I fall.
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: I literally saw it. I was like, so no such
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: thing as a ladder in their house.
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: I don't have a ladder.
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: You literally just climbed him like a tree.
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: There's a couple of trending TikToks. where coworkers do something
- 1:09:46Speaker 8: like that. And I can't remember what, there's like three
- 1:09:48Speaker 8: or four different ways. Have you seen them? Like you
- 1:09:51Speaker 8: put your feet on the shoulder and you lean on
- 1:09:53Speaker 8: a wall and it's like these really cool things that
- 1:09:56Speaker 8: coworkers are doing with whatever that's called.
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: I've seen the one where like one coworker stands up
- 1:10:03Speaker 7: and the other one kind of does like this weird
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: backbend thing and they put them on like a backpack.
- 1:10:08Speaker 8: Yeah, that's one of them I saw. That's one of
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: them I saw. There's like a whole bunch of weird
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: ones like that. And I thought, wow, that's so.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: Flexible. Your husband's got to be. Because the thing about you.
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: Being on your husband's shoulders is, A, he's strong enough
- 1:10:21Speaker 8: to do it, but you've got to be able to balance, right?
- 1:10:23Speaker 7: No, that's the part. I wasn't worried about him dropping me.
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: I was worried about me going, falling down.
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: Rich, I've had it written down here to talk to
- 1:10:34Speaker 8: you about this. You said there's a word that's pissing
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: you off now or a phrase that's pissing you off.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Because we talked about it before. Last time it was.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Both things can be true. Both things can be true
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: at the same time. Well, both things can be true.
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: And now I feel like I especially see it on
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: the secret lives of Mormon wives where it's like they
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: say your truth or my truth. Like, well, you know
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: what my truth is, is that I wasn't cheating. What
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: do you mean your truth? There is no your truth.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: It's just the truth. Your truth is probably a lie.
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: That's pissing me off.
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: So is my truth my point of view?
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: Your point of view, sure. But it's not your truth.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: The truth is the truth.
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: So you would rather them say my perspective?
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Yes, my perspective is good. But I'm just speaking my
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: truth means that you're probably lying to me, but you
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: want me to believe it as like being the truth.
- 1:11:26Speaker 8: My thing is people saying all the things. It doesn't
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: bother me. I mean, it doesn't piss me off. but
- 1:11:32Speaker 8: I just hear people say it all the time. It's
- 1:11:35Speaker 8: everywhere now. You know, they got married, they had the
- 1:11:38Speaker 8: big wedding, all the things. I don't mind all the things.
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: I'm just saying, it doesn't bother me. I just know
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: it's something people say all the time now. Kind of
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: like when TikTok or Instagram people go do that thing
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: where they go.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: Come with me as I go get a facial. There's
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: just a phrase that people say all the time. Come
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: with me.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: To me, it's all the things. What do you have
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: in your store? We have clothes. We have pants. We
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: have all the things.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: We went on vacation. We went to the beach. All
- 1:12:04Speaker 4: the things. It's like all the things is the new yada, yada, yada.
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: That kind of is. Did you steal this money?
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: No.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: My truth is that the money was mine to begin with.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. I'm calling it out.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: No more my truth.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: You used to have a problem with it is what
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: it is. Oh, it is what it is is the
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: biggest nothing statement of all time.
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: But sometimes it is what it is.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: But that is– what does that mean?
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: It's not really a nothing statement. It's a statement of
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: acceptance of the current situation.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: It is what it is.
- 1:12:32Speaker 7: You can't do anything about it.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: You're really like– that could be– it's also like the
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: problem I had with the TV show This Is Us. Well,
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: that could be the name of any TV show about anything.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: This Is Us. Well, of course it is. Say something
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: else about what you are. But this is us. This
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: is us.
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: I kind of understand that.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: It's the most nothing title ever. And it is what
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: it is. It doesn't say anything either. In my truth,
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: you're just lying to me and trying to convince me
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: that it's the truth.
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: I kind of feel like for someone who's rich, you're
- 1:13:01Speaker 7: really big on grammar.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Words mean things.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: So I feel like for the rest of us, peasants,
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: it's okay. Did you just kill that guy?
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: Well, I guess it is what it is. No, no,
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: it's murder. Call him something else.
- 1:13:15Speaker 11: All right, let's get to some entertainment news.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: Colin Payne breaking everything down that's trending. What do you
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: guys got?
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: We finally know what all the Easter eggs were. Thank you,
- 1:13:22Speaker 7: Taylor Swift, for just laying it out on your Instagram.
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: She announced the Life of a Showgirl, the encore, which
- 1:13:28Speaker 7: drops Friday. It will be four new songs from the album.
- 1:13:32Speaker 7: She basically said she was in Sweden and we gave
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: her the biggest week of an album ever. Biggest first
- 1:13:38Speaker 7: week of an album ever. And because of that, she
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: was so excited and just had so much energy and
- 1:13:42Speaker 7: just wanted to give the fans something back. We already
- 1:13:45Speaker 7: know the first song is Patient Zero. We don't know
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: what the other three songs are going to be or
- 1:13:49Speaker 7: if there's four more songs beside that, but... Pretty exciting.
- 1:13:53Speaker 7: And a lot of these Easter eggs were seen during
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: the SVU Emmys sketch. It was funny because like right
- 1:13:59Speaker 7: after that, Taylor's husband, oh, that's rude to say, Travis
- 1:14:03Speaker 7: Kelsey and his brother on their New Heights podcast, they
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: were kind of like breaking it down in a way
- 1:14:08Speaker 7: where it was like Travis shared like what he really
- 1:14:11Speaker 7: noticed from the sketch.
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Not much she can't do. And kind of hot with
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: a gun on her waist. What? That's what you took
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: from that?
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: Oh!
- 1:14:21Speaker 7: I know what to get her for Christmas.
- 1:14:23Speaker 6: That's cute.
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: This is so funny. Simone Biles says something extremely scary
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: happened to her and she's just not letting us know
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: about it. Three men in masks came to our house
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: and stole my Porsche.
- 1:14:37Speaker 11: I feel like I need a reality TV show.
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: The things that happened to me are absolutely insanity. They
- 1:14:42Speaker 7: were not home, but She did say that it has
- 1:14:45Speaker 7: inspired them to get a Doberman Pinscher so that they
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: have a dog to help with security. And I was like,
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: a Simone Biles reality show.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: I would watch that. For sure.
- 1:14:55Speaker 7: I would definitely watch that.
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: Some people broke into your home in masks and you think,
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: this should be on TV. Yeah. I was like, we
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: need to call the police. It's almost like you need
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: to be less on TV. That way they don't want
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: to steal your Porsche.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: She's not saying that part would be a good TV show.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: I think she's saying all the things that have happened
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: to her.
- 1:15:11Speaker 7: Yeah, she's like, you have no idea the crazy stuff
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: that happens in my life. I mean, think about Kim
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: Kardashian got robbed. That was a whole big thing on
- 1:15:21Speaker 7: the show for a while.
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: Because she was on a reality show.
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: And people know she's got things.
- 1:15:26Speaker 7: Well, they were following her on Instagram. Anyways, yeah, it
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: was a whole thing. So, you know, Matthew McConaughey and
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: Woody Harrelson, they have a new comedy where they play themselves.
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: It's called Brothers. It just dropped today or yesterday. I
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: watched a little bit of it. Not sure how I
- 1:15:39Speaker 7: feel about it yet, but I love the duo. I
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: love the combo. And Woody Harrelson was promoting it on
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: Jimmy Kimmel. Jimmy Kimmel shared a story that that Woody
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Harrelson already knew about, but but we didn't know about.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: And it was at an award show where they were
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: doing an in memoriam. And one of the people who
- 1:15:56Speaker 7: had passed away was Jimmy Kimmel's friend. He said, I
- 1:15:58Speaker 7: really got emotional and I had to like kind of
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: excuse myself and go just to the restroom so I
- 1:16:03Speaker 7: could be emotional. And in the restroom at the urinal
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: was Matthew McConaughey.
- 1:16:08Speaker 14: And I told him what happened and he is at
- 1:16:11Speaker 14: the urinal and he turns to me and he gives
- 1:16:15Speaker 14: me a very nice hug. He hugs me and I
- 1:16:18Speaker 14: am hugging him for a little while. And I said,
- 1:16:20Speaker 14: is your out? And he said, yes, it is.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: Yes, it is.
- 1:16:25Speaker 14: And he says, in fact, I'm going to rub it
- 1:16:28Speaker 14: up against you a little bit. And at that moment,
- 1:16:31Speaker 14: you came out of the stall.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: And Woody Irwin was like, who am I to break
- 1:16:35Speaker 7: up a hug? It was so funny.
- 1:16:39Speaker 10: There has been reports that Avengers Endgame Encore is going
- 1:16:43Speaker 10: to feature three post-credit scenes setting up Avengers Doom Day.
- 1:16:49Speaker 10: So that's going to be huge because Avengers Endgame Encore
- 1:16:52Speaker 10: hits theaters this weekend, September 25th. And then Doomsday is
- 1:16:55Speaker 10: going to hit theaters December 18th. So I know people
- 1:16:58Speaker 10: are going to be sat and ready for that. As
- 1:17:00Speaker 10: soon as that movie ends, don't go anywhere. because it's
- 1:17:03Speaker 10: going to lead you right into that.
- 1:17:04Speaker 7: Three end credits?
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: What a trick to get people to spend money.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: You know what that is, too? It's like making sure
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: that becomes the number one movie again, right?
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: So that it beats Spider-Man, even though they're all in
- 1:17:14Speaker 4: the same world.
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: Dude, can they add it back on somehow? Because Avengers
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: Endgame already came out. It's just they're showing it again
- 1:17:22Speaker 7: for like the anniversary, right?
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: Yes, but if the totals for the box office go up,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: then it reclaims the biggest movie of all time, which
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Spider-Man has now.
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: Oh, tricky Hollywood things.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: You know what they're doing.
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: Well, I mean, the movie already came out, but it
- 1:17:33Speaker 7: wasn't like, I think, as big as they thought it
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: was going to be. So they are still doing promotion
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: for it. But have you guys heard of Spa Weekend?
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: I hadn't. Noah apparently already saw it and said it
- 1:17:41Speaker 7: was an excellent movie. But the cast of Spa Weekend...
- 1:17:44Speaker 7: It's Anna Faris, Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher.
- 1:17:46Speaker 12: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: Because they were on their bikinis doing TikToks. There you go.
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: Well, they also went on Hot Ones together. And, you know,
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: on Hot Ones, you can ask each other uncomfortable questions.
- 1:17:55Speaker 7: If you don't want to answer, you eat like a
- 1:17:58Speaker 7: super hot wing. But if you do, you get some
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: pretty good stuff. And Isla Fisher was asking Anna Faris
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: a question that she could have passed on, but didn't.
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: Name a project you did only for the money. Better
- 1:18:10Speaker 7: question is what movie I did not do for the money.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: It's always an insane question when a journalist asks me
- 1:18:19Speaker 7: what drew you to the project.
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: I'm like, I have a mortgage.
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: Just for fun.
- 1:18:24Speaker 12: No.
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no. She's not supposed to.
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: I will say Yogi Bear 3D. Just wanted that paycheck.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: Yogi Bear 3D.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: It's a good movie.
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: Hilary Duff, she is making her comeback even bigger.
- 1:18:40Speaker 10: She has added 32 international and North American shows to
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: the Lucky Me Tour. So she teased 2027 more dates
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: loading on her confetti at her sold-out London show. Pre-sales
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: officially kick off next week. The beauty world is low-key
- 1:18:53Speaker 10: in a frenzy, and you may have seen this all
- 1:18:55Speaker 10: over Instagram. Because Fenty Skin, Glow Recipe, and Huda Beauty
- 1:18:59Speaker 10: have all released these nearly identical K-beauty-inspired eye patch containers.
- 1:19:06Speaker 6: that have.
- 1:19:06Speaker 10: Released like within days of each other so basically it's
- 1:19:09Speaker 10: this innovative packaging where it kind of looks like a
- 1:19:11Speaker 10: pepper mill where they you have to twist the top
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: and then it slides out an eye patch for you
- 1:19:17Speaker 10: and it's a really cool innovation but everyone's like they're
- 1:19:20Speaker 10: coming and they're saying this is the first it's ever
- 1:19:22Speaker 10: happened but literally all three of these huge beauty brands
- 1:19:25Speaker 10: dropped it the same exact week the eye patch is that.
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: The thing the gold things are in their.
- 1:19:29Speaker 8: Eyes yes They sell those at Costco, you know. I
- 1:19:32Speaker 8: saw those at Costco. They almost bought some for all
- 1:19:34Speaker 8: of us.
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: But I think it's like she's talking about the packaging
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: is the innovative part, right? Because, yeah, the eye patch
- 1:19:38Speaker 7: has been out forever.
- 1:19:39Speaker 13: Exactly.
- 1:19:39Speaker 10: So they're saying it takes away a lot of the
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: plastic and a lot of the waste because it's literally
- 1:19:43Speaker 10: like just in a tube and you.
- 1:19:45Speaker 6: Twist the top. And it peels out its own individual
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: eye patch.
- 1:19:50Speaker 7: Do you think there was miscommunication? Like, you are going
- 1:19:52Speaker 7: to be the only ones. This is going to be
- 1:19:54Speaker 7: the first ever. And then they go to Fenty Beauty.
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: You guys are going to be the only ones. No
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: one's seen anything like this before.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: Well, Huda from.
- 1:20:02Speaker 10: Huda Beauty, she basically said, well, obviously, we all got
- 1:20:04Speaker 10: played by the same manufacturer. And all postings like the
- 1:20:08Speaker 10: Spider-Man memes pointing at each other. So they're making a
- 1:20:11Speaker 10: joke of it, but really awkward.
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: That's pretty funny. I don't know if this was awkward,
- 1:20:16Speaker 7: but maybe kind of. Kanye West went back home to
- 1:20:19Speaker 7: Chicago yesterday. There was a really sweet tribute to his mom, Donda.
- 1:20:23Speaker 7: The city actually renamed part of 78th Street Dr. Donda
- 1:20:27Speaker 7: West Way in honor of her work as an educator
- 1:20:29Speaker 7: and her impact on Chicago's South Side. But it was like, Kanye,
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: he's like there, you know, on the stage, and they
- 1:20:36Speaker 7: announce it, and he almost does a, excuse me, I'm
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: going to let you finish, and interrupts the guy.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: As the ultimate of the Seventh Ward, it is my
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: privilege to unveil the honor of.
- 1:20:46Speaker 4: Okay. Okay. It is her son, yay's privilege.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: I knew every street sign. Congratulations. Yay. Three, two, one.
- 1:21:04Speaker 7: He was like, it's my privilege.
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: Oh, my goodness.
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: Speaking of Kanye.
- 1:21:10Speaker 8: He's going to be at State Farm Stadium in November,
- 1:21:12Speaker 8: and we're going to hook you up with a pair
- 1:21:13Speaker 8: of tickets for free right now.
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: You have to win Noise Machine. 877-937-1047.
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: We're going to play after the weekend.
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: Kind of a stupid question, I think, but it's legitimate. Like,
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: I don't understand some of this. It may be stupid.
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: So I'm a member of the Taylor Swift fan club
- 1:21:41Speaker 8: and I got an email from her and I'm pretty
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: sure it's from her directly. And it was talking about
- 1:21:46Speaker 8: pre-ordering her album that comes out. The Encore Life of
- 1:21:49Speaker 8: a Showgirl comes out on Friday, right? I know we're
- 1:21:51Speaker 8: going to play all the songs on Friday. And when
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: you pre-order it, like I already have Apple Music. Won't
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: it just automatically be there? Like why do I have
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: to pre-order it? What does that mean?
- 1:22:01Speaker 4: Do I have to pay for it?
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: Well, if you're going to buy it and download it
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: for you.
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: But can't you on Apple Music just do that anyway?
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: I think it's the people that want the physical albums
- 1:22:12Speaker 7: to buy.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but you can download it. But if you just
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: listen to Apple Music, you're just paying every month to
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: be able to listen to stuff on the cloud. But
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: if you want to download it, note it forever.
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: I download stuff on Apple Music all the time.
- 1:22:22Speaker 6: But you probably pay for Apple Music.
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: I do.
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: That's what I'm saying. I pay for Apple Music.
- 1:22:26Speaker 10: That would be for maybe someone who doesn't pay for
- 1:22:28Speaker 10: Apple Music and they buy the actual copy of the song.
- 1:22:31Speaker 8: I pay for Apple Music because I never went out
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: of my way to pay for Apple Music. I just
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: thought it was part of the phone.
- 1:22:37Speaker 10: Your wife probably pays for family sharing Apple Music.
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: This is an album.
- 1:22:44Speaker 18: You can still buy digital copies of albums. So like
- 1:22:48Speaker 18: if you don't subscribe to a like a music service.
- 1:22:53Speaker 11: You can still buy it digitally or you can buy
- 1:22:55Speaker 11: a physical copy.
- 1:22:56Speaker 8: Every time I travel, I listen to a Kanye playlist
- 1:22:59Speaker 8: that I made and I downloaded all those songs from
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: Apple Music.
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: Yeah. And that's it.
- 1:23:03Speaker 6: You download that offline.
- 1:23:05Speaker 11: If you cancel Apple Music, you lose those songs.
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: That's right.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: You lose right to it.
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: I didn't know I could cancel Apple Music. I thought
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: it was part of the thing.
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: You have family sharing on your phone.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: Isn't that weird that you have to pre-order something digital?
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: It's like they're not going to run out of downloads.
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. Anyway.
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: Anyway, speaking of Kanye, we got tickets to Kanye right now. Jacob,
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: you're our contestant. How are you?
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: Hello, I'm great, and you?
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: Great, Jacob. You are playing noise machine for Kanye tickets.
- 1:23:33Speaker 11: Uh-oh.
- 1:23:34Speaker 13: Let's go.
- 1:23:35Speaker 10: I'm ready, I'm ready.
- 1:23:36Speaker 18: Uh-oh, let's go is exactly how we hoped you would react.
- 1:23:41Speaker 18: So we are playing for Kanye West tickets.
- 1:23:43Speaker 11: Good news, guys. We're playing Kanye West feuds.
- 1:23:47Speaker 18: I had to narrow it down from like 600... To
- 1:23:50Speaker 18: the ten that I find the most hilarious.
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: Wow, okay. So you have to.
- 1:23:54Speaker 18: Guess who either Kanye West is talking about or who's
- 1:23:57Speaker 18: talking about Kanye West.
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:24:00Speaker 11: Let's start with John Jay. Kanye, I know you're like, yo,
- 1:24:04Speaker 11: this is the real me.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: I'm off the meds.
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: Take them. That's a Pete What's-His-Face from Saturday Night Live.
- 1:24:15Speaker 11: Pete.
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: What's his name? Pete.
- 1:24:18Speaker 6: Pete.
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: Hegseth. Pete Hegseth.
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: What?
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: Pete and the Magic Dragon. Pete.
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: I was going to say Skeet.
- 1:24:27Speaker 4: Pete. What's his name? Pete Norris.
- 1:24:29Speaker 11: Oh, my.
- 1:24:30Speaker 4: I know. Covered in tattoos. Yeah.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: Pete.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: This game's hard. Pete.
- 1:24:35Speaker 4: Peter.
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: Big smile.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I know Zach got his face. Pete or Peter.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: Pumpkin eater.
- 1:24:41Speaker 11: You know what? I guess I can give you half
- 1:24:43Speaker 11: a point.
- 1:24:43Speaker 6: What is it?
- 1:24:45Speaker 4: Oh, Pete Davidson.
- 1:24:46Speaker 18: Jacob was coming in. Jacob was trying to take it. But, yeah,
- 1:24:53Speaker 18: one half point for John Jay in round one.
- 1:24:55Speaker 4: Rich? He played one of.
- 1:24:57Speaker 12: My leaked songs, and it was better than every other
- 1:24:59Speaker 12: song this year.
- 1:25:01Speaker 11: So who's Kanye talking about there?
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: He played one of my elite songs. And it was
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: better than any other song this year. He played. So
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: he's got to be talking about a DJ, right?
- 1:25:11Speaker 11: Very famous feud.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Ryan Seacrest.
- 1:25:15Speaker 11: Ryan Seacrest.
- 1:25:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:25:17Speaker 11: Not Ryan Seacrest.
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: Don't be an idiot. Anybody?
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: Drake.
- 1:25:22Speaker 11: Drake is correct.
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:24Speaker 11: Good job, John. Yes way, Jacob.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: Yes way. Basically the same Seacrest and Drake. All right.
- 1:25:33Speaker 11: Peyton, this is from Kanye's song Power. Who is he
- 1:25:36Speaker 11: talking about?
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Jay-Z.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: Jay-Z? Okay.
- 1:25:48Speaker 11: Nope, that's not right.
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: Anybody, anybody, anybody? Lior Cohen.
- 1:25:52Speaker 11: He's talking about a cast.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: A cast. A cast of a TV show?
- 1:25:57Speaker 6: Like an actual physical cast?
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: SNL.
- 1:26:00Speaker 18: The whole cast can kiss my hole. No points for Peyton.
- 1:26:04Speaker 18: It's all right.
- 1:26:06Speaker 11: John Jay commanding lead right now with a half point.
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: Kyle?
- 1:26:11Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: Tough.
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: Who's that? He's referencing Kanye West.
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: Okay, because we're that sounded like Justin Timberlake. So that's
- 1:26:24Speaker 7: what I'm going to say.
- 1:26:25Speaker 11: Justin Timberlake is in fact correct. They did feud.
- 1:26:30Speaker 18: Kanye took exception for Justin, including Jay-Z on the 2020
- 1:26:36Speaker 18: experience record.
- 1:26:37Speaker 11: And yeah, so he was.
- 1:26:38Speaker 18: Not happy and then he got mad and then Justin responded. Anyway,
- 1:26:41Speaker 18: good job, Kyle.
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: One point.
- 1:26:44Speaker 11: Jacob.
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: Hardest feeling to watch someone you really loved and you
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: have a family with just be so different than who
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: you knew.
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: That is Kim K.
- 1:26:59Speaker 18: Kim K, that's right. Kim, also known as Kim Kardashian,
- 1:27:03Speaker 18: one point for Jacob. And we'll go into round two now.
- 1:27:06Speaker 11: John Jay.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: The Weeknd.
- 1:27:07Speaker 4: The Weeknd?
- 1:27:08Speaker 12: Is that his beef with The Weeknd? It's his beef
- 1:27:10Speaker 12: with not The Weeknd.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: I'm surprised.
- 1:27:11Speaker 12: Well, I just listened to the song.
- 1:27:13Speaker 4: It sounds like he's covering The Weeknd.
- 1:27:16Speaker 11: You're going to hear it again.
- 1:27:27Speaker 4: Yeah. Listen to the words then for the clue? Yeah.
- 1:27:29Speaker 16: Oh, yeah.
- 1:27:29Speaker 12: I wanted to be free with other creatures like me,
- 1:27:32Speaker 12: and now I got my wish. Because I know that
- 1:27:35Speaker 12: I'm a gay fish.
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: Gay fish. Kanye's beef with a gay fish. Nemo?
- 1:27:44Speaker 11: Go with Nemo, okay? I'll give you a half point.
- 1:27:48Speaker 11: That's when he feuded with South Park.
- 1:27:51Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:27:51Speaker 11: That's the whole episode. Oh, that's South Park.
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:27:55Speaker 18: Silly it was silly uh all right so john jay
- 1:27:59Speaker 18: another half point there rich.
- 1:28:00Speaker 14: He's very angry because of a bit we aired this
- 1:28:03Speaker 14: week he gave an interview to the bbc and we
- 1:28:06Speaker 14: had a kid actor take the words and reenact it
- 1:28:09Speaker 14: we just had the kids say the stuff.
- 1:28:11Speaker 18: Kanye said i remember that that's jimmy kimmel jimmy kimmel
- 1:28:13Speaker 18: all right one point for rich payton.
- 1:28:16Speaker 7: I resent it it's not true and it was one
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: of the most disgusting moments of my presidency.
- 1:28:23Speaker 6: Oh of my presidency Oh, who is that? That is...
- 1:28:28Speaker 6: Steal it.
- 1:28:29Speaker 11: Go ahead, Jacob.
- 1:28:31Speaker 16: Is that George Bush?
- 1:28:33Speaker 11: George W.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: Bush.
- 1:28:34Speaker 18: Yes, it's when Kanye said that George Bush doesn't care
- 1:28:37Speaker 18: about black people.
- 1:28:38Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:28:39Speaker 18: So jacob take a commanding lead two points kyle can
- 1:28:43Speaker 18: tie it up you.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: Know hopefully when we're 89 we look at this six
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: months or whatever time and we laugh.
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: At that That's Jay-Z.
- 1:28:52Speaker 18: Yeah, Jay-Z, Hova, that's correct. Jacob, if you can get
- 1:28:55Speaker 18: this one, you're going to go see Kanye live.
- 1:28:57Speaker 12: I'm going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one
- 1:29:00Speaker 12: of the best videos.
- 1:29:01Speaker 4: Of all time.
- 1:29:06Speaker 11: Who's he interrupting there?
- 1:29:07Speaker 9: Tater Swift.
- 1:29:09Speaker 11: Tater Swift, that's right.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: Way to go. You're going to see Kanye. Congratulations. Are
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: you whistling? Are you whistling?
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: Let's go. Hold on. Hold on. All right.
- 1:29:25Speaker 16: All right.
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: Kyle, what's coming up? What do we need to know?
- 1:29:28Speaker 7: If boarding a plane can make you absolutely crazy, check
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: this out. The government is testing a change that may
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: change everything. I'll tell you what you need to know
- 1:29:38Speaker 7: next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:29:39Speaker 12: Kyle, what do we need to know today?
- 1:29:47Speaker 7: So, you know, the FAA's job is not just keeping
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: planes safe in the air. They also regulate how airlines
- 1:29:53Speaker 7: operate on the ground, especially when boarding procedures can affect safety, accessibility,
- 1:29:57Speaker 7: evacuation rules, passenger rights. So now they want to completely
- 1:30:01Speaker 7: rethink how we board airplanes. So they've been studying all
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: different types of like boarding methods to figure out whether
- 1:30:08Speaker 7: changing who gets on first and in what order can
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: actually reduce congestion in the aisles and shorten turnaround times
- 1:30:13Speaker 7: and make everything safer for everything. I guess the research
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: they've been doing includes variations on boarding by seat position
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: rather than the giant groups that we're all used to hearing.
- 1:30:23Speaker 10: Called at the gate no that makes sense because my
- 1:30:25Speaker 10: brother and i we were flying over the weekend and
- 1:30:28Speaker 10: we we literally were watching people come on and it
- 1:30:30Speaker 10: seemed as if southwest specifically was struggling with the overhead
- 1:30:34Speaker 10: bin space because i know that it used to be
- 1:30:36Speaker 10: first come first serve you would go and sit and
- 1:30:38Speaker 10: put your stuff up but it seems now is with
- 1:30:39Speaker 10: the new assigned seatings that they're gonna have to revamp
- 1:30:42Speaker 10: all of that so.
- 1:30:44Speaker 7: Yeah it should be interesting because like oh my gosh
- 1:30:46Speaker 7: hello hello are you there you guys.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: I hear you kyle please keep talking all right No,
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: you're Mike's daughter.
- 1:30:54Speaker 6: What's happening?
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: Oh, Rich just turned me off.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: I did not.
- 1:30:59Speaker 4: I don't understand what's happening. I don't understand. Can you
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: say it again?
- 1:31:01Speaker 7: So instead of, so right now you're like boarding group
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: five and everybody goes up.
- 1:31:05Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: And it's usually by the section of the airplane that
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: you're on right now. They're talking about maybe by position.
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: So all aisle seats or all window seats first, then
- 1:31:14Speaker 7: all middle seats, then all like they're, they want to
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: completely revamp how everyone does it. Cause they're seeing that
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: it's not super efficient.
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: You know what happened? We had all kinds of pain.
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: So my wife and I were on a flight and
- 1:31:25Speaker 8: we were boarding group eight and And there was another
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: gate obviously next to ours. And I thought they said
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: boarding group eight.
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: So I got up and I said, Blake, they're called us.
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: Let's go. So we go.
- 1:31:35Speaker 8: And the lady, my lady goes, Whoa, hold on a minute. We're,
- 1:31:39Speaker 8: we're not a boarding group eight yet. And I go, Oh,
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: I thought I saw boarding group eight. She was, no,
- 1:31:43Speaker 8: you heard wrong. And I go, okay. And then she
- 1:31:47Speaker 8: goes boarding group seven and nobody boarded. And then she
- 1:31:50Speaker 8: goes boarding group eight.
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: And I go, here. The whole time I was standing
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: right there. There was no boarding group seven. There was six.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: I was in eight. And then I had to go.
- 1:32:00Speaker 7: Where did seven go?
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: There was nobody.
- 1:32:02Speaker 7: That's crazy. Netflix, you guys, they are testing something that
- 1:32:06Speaker 7: sounds a lot more like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. They're
- 1:32:09Speaker 7: experimenting with more short form vertical videos inside their app.
- 1:32:13Speaker 7: So using clips from shows and movies that you can
- 1:32:16Speaker 7: just swipe through to find something to watch. They've played
- 1:32:19Speaker 7: with clips before, but the bigger push here is making
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: the app increasingly resemble the endless scroll time. They want
- 1:32:26Speaker 7: you to get into your little, I don't know, there's
- 1:32:30Speaker 7: not really rabbit holes, but maybe TV rabbit holes. They
- 1:32:34Speaker 7: want you to spend more time on the app, basically.
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: In the meantime.
- 1:32:38Speaker 7: Meta knows that a lot of people find some of
- 1:32:41Speaker 7: their smart glasses a little creepy, right? So they feel
- 1:32:43Speaker 7: like they've found a workaround. They just unveiled a new
- 1:32:46Speaker 7: version of their AI glasses without the outward facing camera.
- 1:32:51Speaker 7: So that's probably the biggest thing.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: So people are just.
- 1:32:53Speaker 7: Filming people without them knowing. And you know, some creeps
- 1:32:56Speaker 7: were like filming ladies and like, like, yeah. And so, yeah.
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: So they said this, there was a lot of backlash
- 1:33:02Speaker 7: over it. So we feel like we are minimizing and
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: getting rid of the part that everyone found creepy. You
- 1:33:06Speaker 7: still get AI assistance and, You get audio, you get
- 1:33:09Speaker 7: voice features, but removing the camera actually changes that biggest
- 1:33:12Speaker 7: objection that a lot of people had. But yeah, Rich,
- 1:33:14Speaker 7: it does change.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: But it's also kind of the reason you personally want
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: the glasses so you can capture what you're seeing without
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: having to. Hold up a phone.
- 1:33:22Speaker 7: People aren't ready for everyone to have the spy glasses
- 1:33:25Speaker 7: right now. The Diamondbacks just made their playoff situation even
- 1:33:28Speaker 7: more insane. They won last night, keeping their wildcard hopes alive.
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: Like I said, every win and every loss of all
- 1:33:34Speaker 7: of the people they're in competition with are keeping us alive.
- 1:33:37Speaker 7: And we've got five games left in the regular season.
- 1:33:39Speaker 7: So we'll see what happens there. If you've ever driven
- 1:33:42Speaker 7: from Phoenix to Vegas, you know that part in Kingman
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: where suddenly everybody gets backed up at that light. Well,
- 1:33:48Speaker 7: they're finally getting rid of it. There is a huge
- 1:33:50Speaker 7: new interchange. It's about 80% finished right now. Once it's
- 1:33:53Speaker 7: done next year, you'll just be able to go straight
- 1:33:55Speaker 7: between I-40 and US-93 with ramp without like ramps. You
- 1:34:00Speaker 7: don't have to stop at the light, like no more light.
- 1:34:02Speaker 7: It's pretty amazing. They've actually already opened part of it,
- 1:34:05Speaker 7: including like a massive new tunnel. So our Vegas road
- 1:34:07Speaker 7: trips are officially getting closer to being a little less annoying,
- 1:34:10Speaker 7: which I'm all for.
- 1:34:11Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:34:12Speaker 6: That drive is not fun.
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:34:14Speaker 7: This will make it a lot easier, a lot smoother,
- 1:34:15Speaker 7: like a little, just go, go, go. And that's what
- 1:34:17Speaker 7: you need to know.
- 1:34:18Speaker 4: Also going on. that interchange for himself on Saturday.
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: Of course.
- 1:34:25Speaker 11: Are you serious?
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: How far of a drive is that for you just
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: to see the interchange open?
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: I'm not even going from the West Valley. I'll be
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: going from the East Valley because I'm staying at a
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: friend's house. So you're going to go up there and
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: they're going to go, okay, row's open now. Yeah! Will
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: you please film it? Can you please post it? I'd
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: like to see video of that. Bring us back a t-shirt.
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: Thank you.
