- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm going to say it right now. I'm the first
- 0:22Speaker 1: to say it. The Mets are winning the World Series.
- 0:25Speaker 3: How about that? No one has said that yet.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Me.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Are the White Sock still in Chicago? They move that
- 0:30Speaker 3: team yet?
- 0:30Speaker 1: I have no idea, but the Mets are up nine
- 0:32Speaker 1: for them. Paul Skeens, and that conversation is going to
- 0:34Speaker 1: start happening. Skians pitching World Baseball Classic. Why don't do it?
- 0:38Speaker 1: His arm is tired.
- 0:40Speaker 5: I've got one hundred and sixty one more of these.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Yes, they're fine.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You and Taylor before we get to Philmoretelly Junior, who's
- 0:46Speaker 1: going to join us here on the zoom and on
- 0:47Speaker 1: the show, and I'm excited for it, and we have
- 0:49Speaker 1: a ton of calls for him. You guys were talking.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I don't know what you were talking about. I was
- 0:53Speaker 1: trying to prepare myself for Will Wade and also eat
- 0:55Speaker 1: something but I prepare myself for Philmoretelly Junior and try
- 0:59Speaker 1: to eat something. But will Wade is what you guys
- 1:03Speaker 1: were discussing, and Taylor played some sound, and I have
- 1:05Speaker 1: to be honest, he played sound and it went in
- 1:07Speaker 1: one year and out the other.
- 1:09Speaker 6: Stu's struggling today. For those who haven't, we're in here
- 1:11Speaker 6: for the first segment. Stu is directly off of a
- 1:13Speaker 6: bird yep from North Carolina, where he was boots on
- 1:17Speaker 6: the ground trying to figure out what happened with Hubert
- 1:19Speaker 6: Davis and found out very little. He didn't find out
- 1:22Speaker 6: that Taylor's jersey is hung up famously in a sub
- 1:26Speaker 6: shop by the bathroom.
- 1:27Speaker 1: This is all you need to say. I went to
- 1:29Speaker 1: Starbucks earlier, okay, just to point out how exhausted I
- 1:32Speaker 1: am from seven flights in seven days and four cities
- 1:35Speaker 1: and every time zone.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Okay, I went to Starbucks today.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I came through the drive through, had my double espressos ordered.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I tried to pay for it with a hotel key
- 1:45Speaker 1: from the acy Hilton Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
- 1:49Speaker 3: That didn't work, did it? The guy goes, we don't
- 1:51Speaker 3: take this rocking. We only take Mary out Bondboys. Yes,
- 1:56Speaker 3: Phil Martelly Junior is with us.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We had him on after he upset at North Carolina
- 2:01Speaker 1: unfortunately for him for them, but not for us because
- 2:04Speaker 1: he's joining us right now. They lost in the second
- 2:07Speaker 1: round to Illinois and the NCAA Tournament. But when we
- 2:11Speaker 1: spoke to him, I asked him, at what point did
- 2:13Speaker 1: he realize he was going to be a head coach,
- 2:15Speaker 1: a college basketball head coach, and he said it came
- 2:17Speaker 1: down to being a college basketball head coach or being
- 2:20Speaker 1: a sports radio host.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Is Mesmer. I don't know, Phil, I don't know why.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I didn't think of being a coach too.
- 2:26Speaker 7: I was like, that's such.
- 2:27Speaker 3: A better option. No, he chose wisely, He absolutely did.
- 2:31Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 2:32Speaker 4: There's a lot of things I think. I think this
- 2:33Speaker 4: would be a better option, right.
- 2:35Speaker 8: No, I appreciate you guys.
- 2:38Speaker 4: It was great to hear that that that wasn't just
- 2:41Speaker 4: an empty thing that you actually wanted me back on.
- 2:43Speaker 8: So I appreciate that.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yes, every week, if you want to do it, I mean,
- 2:46Speaker 3: you know it's up to you.
- 2:47Speaker 8: Though, can't be better, This can't be better.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I love this, all right, So we have phone calls
- 2:51Speaker 3: for you.
- 2:51Speaker 1: There are a ton of calls because I wanted you
- 2:54Speaker 1: Phil to have the entire sports radio experience, the thing
- 2:57Speaker 1: that you crave because when you want to be a
- 2:58Speaker 1: sports radio host, you want people calling in. You want
- 3:01Speaker 1: them to say, you know, first time, long time. You
- 3:04Speaker 1: want them to say, well, hey, you knows all of it.
- 3:07Speaker 1: We'll hang up and listen all that good stuff. So
- 3:09Speaker 1: we have that for you.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Okay. I just want you to know we have a
- 3:12Speaker 3: ton of calls for you.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Can we ease him in, like just give his opinion
- 3:15Speaker 6: on today, for example, like you got Sweet sixteen Thursday,
- 3:19Speaker 6: you got Opening Day.
- 3:20Speaker 3: You're a big Phillies guy. Like where does this day
- 3:22Speaker 3: rank on your sports calendar? Classic Sports Radio quich.
- 3:26Speaker 8: It ranks a lot. It would be ranked a lot
- 3:28Speaker 8: higher if we were playing tonight.
- 3:30Speaker 4: That would as much as I love being here with
- 3:34Speaker 4: you guys, I would I would love it. If you know,
- 3:37Speaker 4: I was sitting in a hotel room in the dark
- 3:39Speaker 4: right now with like all kinds of angst, I would
- 3:41Speaker 4: trade that, right.
- 3:43Speaker 8: No, I mean, this is like what a great.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Time, right, Like we're we're right here at the middle
- 3:49Speaker 4: of the NCAA tournament. You got the final four coming out,
- 3:51Speaker 4: you got Opening Day, which is awesome. The Masters around
- 3:55Speaker 4: the corner right like all those things. The NBA is
- 3:57Speaker 4: winding down, like you know, just a just a great
- 4:00Speaker 4: time of year, certainly for all of us sports fans.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Have you been to an opening day? I haven't, really,
- 4:07Speaker 3: I have not.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Why dad was Dad was too busy. You were too busy.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Both of you were too busy.
- 4:11Speaker 8: Coaches.
- 4:12Speaker 4: It's just never it's never really lined up. I've never
- 4:14Speaker 4: been to an opening day. I do have a you'll
- 4:16Speaker 4: love this, you will absolutely eat this up. But when
- 4:18Speaker 4: I was a high school senior, a bunch of my
- 4:22Speaker 4: classmates skipped school to go down to Philly's opening day,
- 4:27Speaker 4: and there's a.
- 4:28Speaker 8: Famous cover of the Philadelphia Daily News.
- 4:31Speaker 4: There was a fight between my classmates and my senior bonner,
- 4:37Speaker 4: their seniors who.
- 4:38Speaker 8: That's who I grew up with. That was my neighborhood school.
- 4:41Speaker 4: And the next day in school looking through that and
- 4:44Speaker 4: seeing the picture and going like, oh, there's so and so,
- 4:47Speaker 4: there's so and so, there's.
- 4:48Speaker 8: So and so of steps. He's getting thrown down the
- 4:51Speaker 8: steps by that guy.
- 4:52Speaker 4: It was a huge, huge deal in the old seven
- 4:55Speaker 4: hundred level and center field at the BET.
- 4:59Speaker 8: So that's my I was not there.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Fortunately, right, you could say unfortunately too, but yes, fortunately
- 5:05Speaker 4: not there and avoided any any real issues.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Uh, Philly fans feel like Philly fit opening. Philly fans
- 5:11Speaker 1: have issues, phil I mean, they really fail. Philly fans
- 5:14Speaker 1: have issues. They really do. They're crazy. They're the craziest
- 5:17Speaker 1: fan base in America, I think.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Yeah. I mean, there's there's a certain knowledge and.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Passion that comes with being a Philadelphia fan, and sometimes
- 5:29Speaker 4: those things cross over and when it's like the old
- 5:34Speaker 4: Ghostbusters like don't cross the streams. When you cross the
- 5:36Speaker 4: knowledge and the passion and all that together, it can
- 5:40Speaker 4: blow up and be combustible. So now this particular fight
- 5:45Speaker 4: I think had more to do with like neighborhood pride
- 5:47Speaker 4: and school pride, and there's probably some females involved, you know.
- 5:50Speaker 3: It would be my guest they're usually along with some along.
- 5:54Speaker 4: With some you know, seventeen eighteen year olds that were
- 5:57Speaker 4: probably partaking in things they shouldn't have prior to the game.
- 6:00Speaker 9: The egging of Patullo's house though, I mean.
- 6:04Speaker 8: I mean that's just not like, what are we doing?
- 6:05Speaker 8: Like honestly, like that's one of those I like, like
- 6:08Speaker 8: a lot.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Of the stuff gets overblown, right, yes, like the throwing
- 6:10Speaker 4: snowball at Santa Claus, Like the whole story there, if
- 6:13Speaker 4: you know the whole story, the all these different things
- 6:16Speaker 4: like get overblown.
- 6:18Speaker 3: That is.
- 6:20Speaker 6: When you're actually hurting your franchise's chances of hiring somebody.
- 6:24Speaker 3: You've gone too far as a fan, right, Like.
- 6:27Speaker 8: What are we doing?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Like?
- 6:28Speaker 8: What are we doing? All right?
- 6:29Speaker 4: The guy called a run when you should have called
- 6:30Speaker 4: a pass, Like I get it, Like you're mad, but
- 6:33Speaker 4: egg his house?
- 6:34Speaker 8: Like his wife and kids are there, Like, come on,
- 6:35Speaker 8: leave them alone. It's not that's not for them.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Listen, you're too well thought out for sports radio. I
- 6:41Speaker 1: gotta tell you right now. I mean, you just gotta
- 6:43Speaker 1: let it fly. You gotta let it fly. I have
- 6:45Speaker 1: the perfect call for you to start off here. It's
- 6:47Speaker 1: Gino and Tacoma, Washington. Gino the perfect name for you
- 6:50Speaker 1: to talk to first here. Yeah, let's go to Gina.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You want to announce the calls?
- 6:53Speaker 4: Here?
- 6:54Speaker 1: Phil, how do you want to do it? Sod you
- 6:55Speaker 1: wanted to be a sports radio host? You want to
- 6:57Speaker 1: throw it to Let's yeah, let's do it so eight
- 6:59Speaker 1: seven seven ninety nine on Fox. So the first call
- 7:01Speaker 1: you're going to and I want you to bring him
- 7:02Speaker 1: on Gino and Tacoma.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Go ahead, you try it.
- 7:06Speaker 8: All right, Gino and Tacoma. You're on the here.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Hey, Sill Martellian Junior. I have no idea who.
- 7:14Speaker 10: You are, but I wrote to Aku to welcome you
- 7:19Speaker 10: to sports talk radio.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Huh, go ahead?
- 7:23Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, Phil?
- 7:33Speaker 5: Sports tag radio has changed since you were young.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I don't know if listen. I don't know what the
- 7:40Speaker 1: caller was doing, Phil, But but is he is right?
- 7:42Speaker 1: The sports talk radio you and I grew up listening to.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's not the same, and so I'm telling you, but
- 7:49Speaker 1: coaching is the same. And you chose wisely by going
- 7:51Speaker 1: into the coach.
- 7:52Speaker 6: Did you say I'm going to give you a sudoku,
- 7:55Speaker 6: which I believe is a numbers game.
- 7:57Speaker 7: I think you Metiku.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I thought too, and then he just gave two syllables.
- 8:02Speaker 4: He did start off strong by saying he doesn't know
- 8:04Speaker 4: who the hell I am. Most people don't, and that's okay.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I'm good with that.
- 8:09Speaker 3: But yeah, yes, let's go to Zal.
- 8:12Speaker 8: I don't know what that is.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You want to introduce Zach in Cleveland?
- 8:15Speaker 2: Here?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Another caller for you? All right, go ahead? Hopefully it's better.
- 8:18Speaker 8: Go ahead, Zach and Cleveland. What do you got, coach?
- 8:23Speaker 11: Great, great to talk with you, first time long, Ti,
- 8:26Speaker 11: I'm calling on a mobile here in Cleveland.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Man is he and Taylor?
- 8:30Speaker 11: First off, just want to say sorry about you softball game.
- 8:33Speaker 11: It sounds like your boy Ian is a lot like
- 8:35Speaker 11: O'Neil Cruz can't catch a pop up in the center field.
- 8:38Speaker 11: I know it's sweet sixteen, I know it's opening day,
- 8:40Speaker 11: but it's something we got to talk about. And it's
- 8:42Speaker 11: this Nicola Jokish freak.
- 8:44Speaker 8: The dude puts up.
- 8:45Speaker 11: A triple double every night. No one cares. Yeah, twenty three,
- 8:49Speaker 11: twenty one, nineteen last night, no one cares. The game
- 8:51Speaker 11: winner the night before that, no one cares. He's a
- 8:54Speaker 11: great pastor. A great pastor for a big man. You
- 8:56Speaker 11: know who else could learn to pass for a big man?
- 8:58Speaker 11: That Bam fraud of bio guy done in the Miami.
- 9:01Speaker 11: My goodness, free throws up, My god. I'll hang up
- 9:03Speaker 11: and listen.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Love you guys, all right, thank you, coach? Go ahead.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Well, I think you know Zach brings up a great point,
- 9:11Speaker 4: like we take greatness for granted sometimes and I think
- 9:16Speaker 4: it happens, you know, across the board, like you see it.
- 9:18Speaker 8: You know Michael Jordan and you know Lebron.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Like there's there's years where those guys we get into
- 9:24Speaker 4: that like, well they win the MVP every year because
- 9:26Speaker 4: they're the most Valuable player every year. And then we
- 9:29Speaker 4: get into like, all right, well we're going to vote
- 9:31Speaker 4: for that guy because it's like the sexy choice for
- 9:33Speaker 4: the year.
- 9:34Speaker 8: Just something different.
- 9:35Speaker 4: It's like, no, like the guy is the most valuable player,
- 9:38Speaker 4: like Jokic is the most valuable player.
- 9:41Speaker 8: Like none of the GMS or anybody would say it.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Out outright, but if they got called for their superstar,
- 9:47Speaker 4: every one of those other teams and said, would you
- 9:50Speaker 4: trade Jokic for your superstar?
- 9:53Speaker 8: They would all say yes. They would all say yes.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Who says no, I mean a sports rad yes.
- 9:59Speaker 4: Like they they would all say yes to that, right,
- 10:01Speaker 4: Like so I do think he's right about that, Like
- 10:04Speaker 4: we just we lose that we take that great and
- 10:07Speaker 4: greatness for granted, and you know it is you just
- 10:11Speaker 4: get you get tired of it.
- 10:12Speaker 6: I think sometimes if this were two thousand and five
- 10:15Speaker 6: and Kobe Bryant was was having the string of games
- 10:18Speaker 6: that Luka Doncic was having right now, we would have
- 10:21Speaker 6: like people stop into programming to announce what Kobe was
- 10:25Speaker 6: doing because it would be such a huge deal. Now
- 10:27Speaker 6: with Luca, it feels like people are yawning about it,
- 10:30Speaker 6: Like I don't know if it was because maybe Bam
- 10:32Speaker 6: scored eighty three a little bit ago, but when he
- 10:34Speaker 6: scored sixty in Miami, it was like, oh, just another game,
- 10:37Speaker 6: and I'm like.
- 10:37Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 10:38Speaker 6: This dude is doing stuff that we've never seen before
- 10:40Speaker 6: as well right there with the joker.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, do you think you guys would probably have a
- 10:46Speaker 4: good pulse on this, Like do you think because we
- 10:49Speaker 4: can see all this all the time, like the like
- 10:53Speaker 4: there used to be a lure to you didn't see
- 10:56Speaker 4: that guy get sixty? Right now it's like all right,
- 10:58Speaker 4: I can see the highlights. I see the high and
- 11:00Speaker 4: then I'm just move on or like I'm scrolling to
- 11:03Speaker 4: the next highlights. Right he got sixty, but so and
- 11:05Speaker 4: so got you know, thirty five, and now I'm watching
- 11:08Speaker 4: that Like there used to be that lure of like, yes,
- 11:10Speaker 4: did you hear about the time this guy got whatever?
- 11:13Speaker 8: You know what?
- 11:13Speaker 6: I felt that the most after the Bam thing was
- 11:17Speaker 6: looking at the graphics and being like, oh, yeah, Luca
- 11:20Speaker 6: had seventy three, Like it was just another I know
- 11:23Speaker 6: he'd been somewhere close, but I was like, wow, just
- 11:26Speaker 6: the fact that those don't resonate as much, whether it
- 11:29Speaker 6: be Damian Lillard or Devin Booker, that part was mind
- 11:32Speaker 6: boggling to me.
- 11:32Speaker 9: A staple in my childhood growing up was waking up
- 11:36Speaker 9: at seven am, turning on Sports Center and finding out
- 11:39Speaker 9: what happened right.
- 11:40Speaker 1: A staple of my childhood growing up was opening up
- 11:43Speaker 1: the newspaper and looking at the box scores to see
- 11:45Speaker 1: what certain guys did. So I think there is something
- 11:48Speaker 1: to what you're saying there, Phil, I do.
- 11:50Speaker 6: And now people just wake up and decide to meow
- 11:53Speaker 6: at a radio show, because why not?
- 11:56Speaker 1: All right, Phil, we have Bob who's in Boise today
- 11:59Speaker 1: if you want to, if you want to bring him
- 12:00Speaker 1: on here, go ahead, Bob.
- 12:02Speaker 8: From Boise that you're on the air.
- 12:06Speaker 1: In the heck Guardia, Sir.
- 12:08Speaker 8: Bob, I'm doing tremendous. How about you.
- 12:11Speaker 10: I'm hanging in there, and you know, I love hearing still.
- 12:14Speaker 10: I have a lot of respect for him, but he's
- 12:16Speaker 10: throwing you all the softball questions I've got the artist
- 12:19Speaker 10: city question.
- 12:19Speaker 6: If your day needed to.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Hell, you have to die on.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Cheeks no cheese with wow, good question.
- 12:29Speaker 8: All right, So you're gonna you're gonna you won't be
- 12:31Speaker 8: happy with me. I don't.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I don't like cheese. My steaks are always playing. What Yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 4: I'm not a cheese.
- 12:39Speaker 8: Fan, all right?
- 12:40Speaker 3: What happened when you were a child?
- 12:43Speaker 8: Nothing. I just don't. I don't. I don't like cheese.
- 12:46Speaker 8: I'll eat it on pizza. That's about it.
- 12:47Speaker 4: I don't need it, you know, my burger I just
- 12:50Speaker 4: so yeah, that's a I'm a salt pepper and ketchup,
- 12:53Speaker 4: you know, on my on my my steak, misteaks.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Is nothing wrong with that, the rare cheese steak. Hold
- 12:57Speaker 1: the cheese.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Sometimes Jesus too much.
- 13:02Speaker 6: It's like it's a lot, it's gooey. It like overpowers flavor,
- 13:05Speaker 6: depending on which one you take. Like I'm good with
- 13:07Speaker 6: phil there, Like it's okay to not eat cheese. Obviously pizza.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Once you said pizza, it was like, okay, now you're good.
- 13:12Speaker 8: Yes, you gotta have it on pizza.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Yes, let's take one more call here you can introduce it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: It's Mikey New York. He wants to talk about something
- 13:19Speaker 1: in your wheelhouse, Gino Smith, go ahead, introduce him, Mike
- 13:23Speaker 1: from New York.
- 13:24Speaker 8: What do you got it?
- 13:26Speaker 10: I just want to know if you think that Gino
- 13:28Speaker 10: Smith's by the end of this season will be the
- 13:31Speaker 10: New York Jets all time single season passing leader in
- 13:35Speaker 10: the art. I think you should have smashed their record
- 13:38Speaker 10: because the record is so low. If you look at it,
- 13:41Speaker 10: He's had multiple seasons where you'd already beat this. Do
- 13:44Speaker 10: you think by the end of this season he will
- 13:47Speaker 10: be the New York Jets all time single season passing
- 13:50Speaker 10: yards leader.
- 13:51Speaker 9: So coach, right now, the current leader is Joe Namath
- 13:54Speaker 9: at four thousand and seven overrated.
- 13:56Speaker 8: It really doesn't matter.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Like Mike, my question would be, is he going to
- 14:00Speaker 4: be bugs bunny passing to himself?
- 14:02Speaker 8: Like? Who's he throwing it to?
- 14:05Speaker 4: I got to be able to like to have the
- 14:07Speaker 4: passing records, someone has to catch the ball.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Yes, So your answer is able to have both the
- 14:11Speaker 6: passing and the receiving records for the Jets.
- 14:13Speaker 8: And he's gonna have a block for himself. Who's going
- 14:15Speaker 8: to block for him?
- 14:16Speaker 11: Like?
- 14:17Speaker 8: I don't know much about the Jets, but I know
- 14:20Speaker 8: they ain't.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Good, so I don't know what the other I don't
- 14:23Speaker 4: know who he's throwing to, who's blocking form.
- 14:25Speaker 1: This sounds like an MVP. Listen to what you know

- 14:51Speaker 1: have keep three Cut five coming up.
- 14:53Speaker 3: I want to say, I don't know what the topic is,
- 14:56Speaker 3: but I do.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We also will continue to take your phone calls at
- 15:01Speaker 1: eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That is eight
- 15:03Speaker 1: seven to seven ninety nine on Fox. A coach, since
- 15:06Speaker 1: you are a lover of sports radio, before we get
- 15:09Speaker 1: to our game here, I'm gonna play three takes three
- 15:12Speaker 1: sports radio classic takes, okay, from three sports radio giants,
- 15:17Speaker 1: legends of the game. Okay, and I want you to
- 15:21Speaker 1: medal stand them for me, bronze, silver and gold of
- 15:25Speaker 1: these ridiculous takes. First, is Mike francessa not Philadelphia, but
- 15:30Speaker 1: New York A guy I'm certain you've listened to before.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Here is Mike Francessa taking a phone call.
- 15:41Speaker 12: Nick in New Jersey. What's up, Nick, I say, Mike,
- 15:45Speaker 12: I was just wondering with.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Yankees and just baseball in general.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Do you ever see a team going.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Undefeated in the regular season that being.
- 15:55Speaker 10: As dominant as the Pats and the Dolphins where they.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Run one hundred and sixty two and oh yeah, like
- 16:02Speaker 2: a team being that dominant.
- 16:04Speaker 11: Do you think that could be back?
- 16:05Speaker 8: Could happen in baseball?
- 16:07Speaker 12: You're not?
- 16:08Speaker 13: Seriously no, Like we've wait, have you seen anybody come
- 16:14Speaker 13: close to one hundred and sixty too?
- 16:16Speaker 14: Well?
- 16:17Speaker 5: Didn't the Yankees that one year and twenty?
- 16:19Speaker 13: Okay, wait, wait, way, the Yankees didn't win one hundred
- 16:23Speaker 13: and twenty.
- 16:23Speaker 12: They won one hundred and eleven in the regular season,
- 16:26Speaker 12: but still.
- 16:27Speaker 3: The only fifty games away.
- 16:29Speaker 12: Fifty not a game fifty games away.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but they had a one hundred and ten wins.
- 16:36Speaker 12: They were they were good.
- 16:37Speaker 6: But they weren't as dominant as the Patriots or other
- 16:40Speaker 6: teams whatever.
- 16:41Speaker 13: Wait, wait, so you think a team that you're comparing
- 16:44Speaker 13: winning sixteen games to winning one hundred and sixty two.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Well, obviously football has less games. They come up one
- 16:52Speaker 3: more game.
- 16:53Speaker 12: They bought the football has won less games? Really, yeah,
- 16:57Speaker 12: do you think they have less games?
- 17:00Speaker 13: Well? I know football sixteen right, and the others have
- 17:04Speaker 13: one hundred and so you think a team could go
- 17:06Speaker 13: one hundred and sixty two and oh if.
- 17:09Speaker 12: They were that thumb, yeah you do?
- 17:11Speaker 13: They have like RV right, so you think that's right?
- 17:15Speaker 13: It's the best team of now, the best team of
- 17:17Speaker 13: all time. I don't know what team you considered the
- 17:19Speaker 13: best team of all time? What team do you consider
- 17:21Speaker 13: the best baseball team of all time?
- 17:24Speaker 3: Maybe that Murderers Row Yankees?
- 17:26Speaker 13: Okay, now what do you think now? That team played
- 17:29Speaker 13: one hundred and fifty four game schedule. How many games
- 17:31Speaker 13: do you think they won?
- 17:33Speaker 9: Oh?
- 17:33Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 17:34Speaker 12: Maybe uh they lost though?
- 17:37Speaker 3: How many do you either think they lost?
- 17:38Speaker 11: Maybe probably forty?
- 17:41Speaker 3: Right?
- 17:41Speaker 12: So how would you get from forty to zero?
- 17:45Speaker 3: Well, they would need to be a lot better obviously.
- 17:47Speaker 13: Let me know when it happens, okay, because I want
- 17:49Speaker 13: to like watch I think I'm telling you folks, John
- 17:57Speaker 13: and Breezy point, what's up?
- 17:58Speaker 12: John?
- 17:58Speaker 8: All?
- 17:58Speaker 12: Mike, what's happening? What mental is, sylence, I have no.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Idea how I have no idea that is sports radio.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Next up, coach Christopher mad Dog Russo is former partner.
- 18:11Speaker 14: Now, whether the MLB put out a statement, they got
- 18:14Speaker 14: the word, of course, to their guys today to get
- 18:16Speaker 14: this out, that it was due to an inappropriate relationship
- 18:19Speaker 14: with a sister in law, who you know is in
- 18:22Speaker 14: her fifties.
- 18:23Speaker 3: What's so inappropriate about that? I understand?
- 18:26Speaker 12: I mean, you know, this happens.
- 18:27Speaker 14: All the time, this stuff. I mean, why would that
- 18:30Speaker 14: be considered inappropriate? It's his system in raw, all right,
- 18:33Speaker 14: So it's his brother's wife.
- 18:35Speaker 7: I mean, you know, I guess.
- 18:37Speaker 14: It's inappropriate, but maybe the isn't that a family matter
- 18:40Speaker 14: more so than is a union matter?
- 18:42Speaker 13: Coach?
- 18:48Speaker 3: All right, they're time to put you there. Here's a
- 18:50Speaker 3: weird time. That's how he aborts uncomfortable conversation.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And here's the third one again, uh, three ridiculous takes
- 18:58Speaker 1: from three sports radio giants.
- 19:00Speaker 3: The third one courtesy of me LaMarcus Aldridge. Awful.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I mean no, he's an embarrassment, man. I'm telling you,
- 19:08Speaker 1: Greg Popovich is gonna get rid of that guy. In
- 19:10Speaker 1: the offseason, he was an embarrassment last night. He is
- 19:13Speaker 1: so out of shape. There are so many times where
- 19:18Speaker 1: the Rockets were playing five on four on offense because
- 19:21Speaker 1: LaMarcus Aldris was walking back on defense.
- 19:25Speaker 3: He's bad, He's not a good play.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I don't know what happened to him, because when he
- 19:27Speaker 1: was in Portland he was fantastic. He is not good Dan.
- 19:31Speaker 1: He cast them the game last night, although they won
- 19:33Speaker 1: the game, But had they lost, I'm telling you it
- 19:36Speaker 1: would have been on LaMarcus Aldiers. And the only reason
- 19:39Speaker 1: it's not is because they won the game. Otherwise san
- 19:42Speaker 1: Antonio would be crushing it today. And I'm still going
- 19:43Speaker 1: to crush him even though they won.
- 19:47Speaker 3: What are we ranking these in order of stupidity? Sports Radio?
- 19:51Speaker 1: All right, good, so the metal stand those for us bronze,
- 19:54Speaker 1: your bronze medal winner is all.
- 19:57Speaker 8: Right, so just so unclear the goal is the most ridiculous.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, oh yes, yes.
- 20:03Speaker 8: I'm going to give you the bronze, all right, yes,
- 20:05Speaker 8: all right, Like I didn't see the game.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I don't know the game, but yeah, if he was
- 20:09Speaker 4: out there just dragging around and yeah, I'm not mad
- 20:12Speaker 4: at you for that.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Well, just so we're clear, I said, a guy cast
- 20:14Speaker 1: him the game, a game that they want.
- 20:16Speaker 8: If they want.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I've probably done the same in here, going like,
- 20:22Speaker 4: you know, screaming about a guy and like we lost
- 20:24Speaker 4: the game because of them, Like, well, we won the game,
- 20:26Speaker 4: but it feels like we lost.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I like it as a new segment. Who would we
- 20:30Speaker 3: have blamed if that team lost? We should do that.
- 20:32Speaker 8: Yes, that's a pretty good one.
- 20:35Speaker 4: And silver, all right, so silver, I got to give
- 20:38Speaker 4: him my man one hundred and sixty two, and now.
- 20:42Speaker 8: I got to give him silver because.
- 20:44Speaker 4: I have a little bit of like we're eight minutes
- 20:46Speaker 4: from Philly's first pitch, like I kind of feel like
- 20:49Speaker 4: they're going to go one hundred and sixty two and.
- 20:51Speaker 8: Oh this year, So you know, I do.
- 20:53Speaker 3: It's that crazy.
- 20:55Speaker 8: If they do lose today, I'll think that they're going
- 20:57Speaker 8: one hundred and sixty one and one. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 8: pretty ridiculous.
- 21:01Speaker 4: But but in the grand scheme of things, I mean,
- 21:05Speaker 4: when you cross sports into like social norms and you're
- 21:08Speaker 4: going like way all like where anybody Again, if if
- 21:13Speaker 4: my thirteen year old daughter listened then heard somebody say
- 21:15Speaker 4: one hundred and sixty two and oh, she wouldn't blame
- 21:18Speaker 4: she heard that and like, wait, your brother's white from reality.
- 21:23Speaker 6: So those are the three staples of sports radio. You
- 21:25Speaker 6: got from those three cause fails. It was callers that
- 21:28Speaker 6: you have to talk down and just just for your
- 21:32Speaker 6: own sanity, just put them in their place.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yes, And then you have what was the second one again?
- 21:37Speaker 6: Oh, then you have older, usually white gentlemen out of
- 21:40Speaker 6: touch with reality.
- 21:42Speaker 3: But also getting older and just confused by the entire story.
- 21:45Speaker 3: And then you have still got just forgetting a team
- 21:47Speaker 3: won or lost, not a big deal.
- 21:48Speaker 1: You're right, but Aldrews was not getting back on defense
- 21:52Speaker 1: that night. I mean, all right, since uh, since the
- 21:55Speaker 1: Phillies start their season here coming up about seven minutes,
- 21:59Speaker 1: we have a keep three five for you, coach, So
- 22:01Speaker 1: Taylor is gonna take us through this. I am certain
- 22:03Speaker 1: it's gonna be Philadelphia related. I say that because I
- 22:06Speaker 1: sent them the topic. Go ahead, Taylor, So.
- 22:08Speaker 9: Coach, we're gonna have eight names. It's keep three, cut five.
- 22:12Speaker 9: You get one name out of time. You Izzy and
- 22:15Speaker 9: Stu Gotts will have to come to some sort of
- 22:17Speaker 9: consensus to determine if we're keeping or cutting.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Said Philly. It's all time, Phillies.
- 22:23Speaker 3: And just to be that's it just all time Phillies.
- 22:25Speaker 9: Yes, And just to be clear, it's not a top eight,
- 22:28Speaker 9: it's just a random eight Phillies.
- 22:30Speaker 3: It's a dangerous game. So we're only keeping three of
- 22:32Speaker 3: these five on that.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but if that's the first name and you take them,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I mean, you know, Mike Schmid might come and you
- 22:42Speaker 1: don't have any room left.
- 22:43Speaker 3: You know, I got it, I got it, all right,
- 22:46Speaker 3: So go ahead, Taylor.
- 22:47Speaker 7: The first name up, Chase Utley.
- 22:52Speaker 6: Remember what we said, you gotta be careful about keeping
- 22:54Speaker 6: the first one, no matter how attractive, no matter how
- 22:56Speaker 6: many episodes.
- 22:57Speaker 3: If it's always Sonny, he's been on.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Since phil loves the the Phillies the most here. Okay,
- 23:02Speaker 1: why don't you and I vote? And if there's a
- 23:04Speaker 1: decision to be made, there you go. Coach Martelly Junior
- 23:07Speaker 1: will make it so. Chase Utley is an all time great.
- 23:10Speaker 1: He's an all time great Philadelphia Philly. He's an all
- 23:13Speaker 1: time great, period, fantastic player, a player that as a
- 23:17Speaker 1: Met fan I hated. I would keep Chase Utley. I
- 23:22Speaker 1: mean I would cut him.
- 23:23Speaker 3: And this is more game philosophy than anything else. I know.
- 23:26Speaker 6: There are a lot of good Phillies and so Chase
- 23:29Speaker 6: is a good one, but I would cut them, which
- 23:31Speaker 6: means we got to go to the tiebreaker.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yes, coach, well, he's the first name that came to mind. Obviously,
- 23:36Speaker 4: Schmid is legendary. Here's what I'll say about Chase Outley.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Anybody in Philadelphia is keeping Chase Utley. So I'm keeping
- 23:44Speaker 4: Chase Utley. And I'll give you a big reason why.
- 23:48Speaker 4: My oldest is sixteen years old. He was born during
- 23:51Speaker 4: that run. I was in the hospital watching the NLCS
- 23:53Speaker 4: against the Dodgers in October two thousand and nine when
- 23:59Speaker 4: we were still Livingiladelphia. The number of Chases his age,
- 24:03Speaker 4: he had three in his class alone. So that man
- 24:08Speaker 4: has multiple boys and probably some girls in Philadelphia named
- 24:13Speaker 4: after him. There were quite a few Carsons for Carson
- 24:19Speaker 4: what's his name in that person wentz?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that didn't work out. Well, yeah, you should have
- 24:23Speaker 3: named him Nick, right.
- 24:26Speaker 7: Coach, what did you go with Cliff Lee Martelli?
- 24:29Speaker 4: Yeah, Chase allays a clear key me. We're gonna have
- 24:32Speaker 4: a hard decision here coming up. I'm sure that one's
- 24:34Speaker 4: an easy.
- 24:35Speaker 1: All right, next one, climp Flee mart Telly, go ahead, Taylor.
- 24:40Speaker 7: The next name up, Plasi do Polonco.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Boy, that's an easy guy.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Like, listen, great utility guy, great infielder, give you a
- 24:49Speaker 1: big bass hit every now and then, singles hitter her
- 24:51Speaker 1: more than a power hitter.
- 24:53Speaker 3: But like, there has to be six better names than
- 24:56Speaker 3: Polanco in terms of all time great.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Will great name though, last if it sounds amazing.
- 25:02Speaker 1: If we were just doing all time great Philly names,
- 25:04Speaker 1: Polanco would be a no brainer.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Yes, I think I would have to cut, but I
- 25:08Speaker 6: feel like we always got to go to Phil because
- 25:10Speaker 6: if he ever rides our two cuts as a Philly guy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yes, this is the one time where the one vocan
- 25:14Speaker 1: override the Yes, you guys are right.
- 25:17Speaker 4: This was a utility player, absolutely utility utility player.
- 25:20Speaker 8: Draft was a big big fan is. But there's definitely
- 25:24Speaker 8: two better names on this list.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Also, if it was a hotel, I'd go there. Sounds
- 25:30Speaker 3: a nice place to go. It sounds like a.
- 25:32Speaker 7: Hotel down south, sounds like five stars for sure.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Put it on the pole tailor. Does the hotel Polanco sound.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Like it's the hotel plus no Polanco?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Does it sound like a five star hotel? Next name here, Taylor?
- 25:51Speaker 7: The next name up, pat the bat Burro.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Oh um, legend such a like.
- 25:58Speaker 6: That's the only I would say, rye that I know
- 26:00Speaker 6: of to UF Baseball as a Gator baseball guy.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yes it's Pat Burrow. Yeah, we hate that, dude.
- 26:05Speaker 1: You have to think who else is still out there,
- 26:08Speaker 1: whether it be you know, Steve Carlton, Michael jack Schmidt.
- 26:12Speaker 5: John Kruck, or any of them nicknamed Pat the Bat.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Listen, I say no, I'm Pat the Bat.
- 26:19Speaker 6: Is he saying yes, I'm gonna say yes, I'm gonna
- 26:21Speaker 6: make the make this decision up to Phil, Leave it
- 26:22Speaker 6: up to Phil.
- 26:23Speaker 4: All right, Well, I hate to go against Dizzy, but
- 26:25Speaker 4: I gotta say that he was a legend on the field.
- 26:28Speaker 4: He was probably more of a legend off the field
- 26:29Speaker 4: from some of the stories that you hear.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I've heard that too.
- 26:36Speaker 4: I don't he wouldn't be if we were just doing
- 26:37Speaker 4: a draft. He wouldn't be my left fielder, you know,
- 26:40Speaker 4: of all the left fielders.
- 26:41Speaker 8: So there's gotta be two better.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Right, there has to be, But there might not be. People. See,
- 26:46Speaker 3: we'll find that that's the danger of the game.
- 26:48Speaker 7: Go ahead, Taylor, name number four, Jimmy Rollins.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Wow, man, it's gonna be tough keeping him off.
- 26:59Speaker 6: Just give that one video of Pat Burrell where he
- 27:01Speaker 6: had somebody in like a leather mask behind him, just
- 27:04Speaker 6: show up out of nowhere.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I'm getting off the subject here.
- 27:07Speaker 8: I think was with the Giant. But yes, I have
- 27:09Speaker 8: seen that.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Was a lot of kids roaming around Philadelphia with the
- 27:13Speaker 3: name Jimmy, I mean.
- 27:16Speaker 4: My brother, but he was born way before. There's a
- 27:19Speaker 4: lot of Jimmy's but not because of Jimmy Rowlds. But man,
- 27:22Speaker 4: he's a hard one to keep off.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I mean he was an MVP, right, yes, listen, I'm
- 27:26Speaker 1: not keeping him off, so I would keep man.
- 27:28Speaker 3: The danger of this.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Is he's gonna give us Steve Carlton and he's gonna
- 27:31Speaker 1: give us Mike Schmidz.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Oh god, I'm gonna keep. I'm gonna keep Jimmy.
- 27:39Speaker 7: Man MVP.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to cut him only because you think
- 27:46Speaker 3: they were better names come.
- 27:47Speaker 5: By, because I think Taylor is the son of a gun.
- 27:50Speaker 3: All right, what do you think, coach?
- 27:52Speaker 8: I mean, we're halfway through. This is like the you
- 27:54Speaker 8: did a hell of a job business perfect. This is
- 27:58Speaker 8: the perfect halfway through names.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Man, he's really thinking about this.
- 28:04Speaker 8: This one's gonna halt me one way or another. It's
- 28:06Speaker 8: gonna halt me.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Yes, it is, yes, because someone else is gonna be
- 28:10Speaker 3: left off.
- 28:10Speaker 8: Right, keep them.
- 28:15Speaker 3: It's okay.
- 28:18Speaker 4: He called the shot. He said, we're gonna win the
- 28:20Speaker 4: whole thing. They won the whole thing.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Like question, if you would have known and you could
- 28:25Speaker 6: only keep one, Chase or Jimmy.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Who do you keep? Good question?
- 28:30Speaker 8: I would keep Chasing.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Okay, Wow, he's got he's got the hearts of Philly fans.
- 28:34Speaker 3: I get a story.
- 28:34Speaker 9: He told right, So you guys have kept Chase utleyt
- 28:38Speaker 9: kept Jimmy Rollins. Four names left. Have to keep just
- 28:42Speaker 9: one name? The fifth name up, John Crook Krucky Kroky.
- 28:48Speaker 3: That's an easy cut. I'm sorry. Such a good hitter too, though,
- 28:51Speaker 3: an a Philly legend.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Philadelphia loves Crook, right, phil they love John cruck.
- 28:57Speaker 4: He does the TV now with Tom McCarthy, and it
- 28:59Speaker 4: is that alone. It doesn't matter what's going on the field,
- 29:03Speaker 4: just listening to him.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Yes, I was just about to say he might be
- 29:06Speaker 3: a better broadcaster.
- 29:07Speaker 6: If this was a list of broadcasters that do Philly games,
- 29:09Speaker 6: I would say absolute keep.
- 29:11Speaker 3: He's so good. But there's better out there. It has
- 29:16Speaker 3: to be three more after this. This has to be
- 29:17Speaker 3: a cut hard. I'm uh, I'm cutting him.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Yeah, John Cruk would cut John.
- 29:25Speaker 7: You're right there, you go right.
- 29:26Speaker 3: He wouldn't be offended.
- 29:27Speaker 8: That's the way we should. He would look at you
- 29:29Speaker 8: like you were crazy. And that's why that's why he's
- 29:32Speaker 8: a legend.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Put it on the pole. Tailor. Would John Krook not
- 29:36Speaker 3: take himself and cut?
- 29:38Speaker 8: Keep three?
- 29:38Speaker 9: Cut five the next name up? So three names left,
- 29:42Speaker 9: gotta keep one. Ryan Howard.
- 29:46Speaker 3: I knew he was going to be on this list.
- 29:48Speaker 3: He forgot about him. He was just on the show
- 29:49Speaker 3: with us, Yes.
- 29:50Speaker 5: But that's why I knew he was going to be
- 29:52Speaker 5: on this list, because he's been on with us twice.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I mean, m v P Hall of Famer. Schmidt and
- 29:58Speaker 3: Carlton are still out there, or maybe not.
- 30:01Speaker 7: I have no idea, right, they technically are still out there, well.
- 30:04Speaker 1: They are, but I so is Bake McBride and Marlon Burr,
- 30:11Speaker 1: Darren Dalton.
- 30:14Speaker 6: I'm sorry to Ryan Howard, but that's a cut for me.
- 30:17Speaker 6: I think one of these last two names is going
- 30:19Speaker 6: to be somebody better.
- 30:20Speaker 3: All right, I'm gonna cut him. I'm cutting them, coach.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a hard one to cut. I don't think
- 30:26Speaker 4: we can keep those three guys. They were the cornerstone
- 30:28Speaker 4: of obviously that run. Yeah, I don't think he'd keep
- 30:31Speaker 4: those three guys together. Although, yeah, he deserves to be
- 30:35Speaker 4: on there, and obviously Friend of the Show is hard
- 30:37Speaker 4: to hard to turn down.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yes, God, I forgot about.
- 30:40Speaker 8: I gotta say cut.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Unfortunately, I'm excited about number seven here.
- 30:44Speaker 3: He's usually a big name right here, go ahead.
- 30:46Speaker 9: Two names left, have to keep one Doug Glanville.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Sense a little worry coming.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah, well I am worried, right, I have no idea
- 31:02Speaker 1: what's coming next. Attempted to keep Glanville because it could
- 31:05Speaker 1: be words. I'm gonna cut him though.
- 31:09Speaker 5: That's an easy cut for me, all right, easy cut,
- 31:11Speaker 5: coach ten Grad.
- 31:13Speaker 8: You know does does a good job on TV. But yeah,
- 31:15Speaker 8: we're we got better out there, I know we do. Yeah, Well,
- 31:17Speaker 8: we hope Taylor's gonna come through here.
- 31:19Speaker 3: We'll see Taylor.
- 31:21Speaker 9: So you guys have kept Chase up Lee, you guys
- 31:23Speaker 9: have kept Jimmy Rollins. You've cut Plasido Polanco, Pat the
- 31:27Speaker 9: bat Burrow, John Crook, Bryan Howard, and Doug Glanville. You
- 31:32Speaker 9: put your chips to the eighth and final name. The
- 31:35Speaker 9: eighth and final names Mike Schmid, Yeah, Michael.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Big Siary leave.
- 31:44Speaker 4: I mean, I think we end up looking like geniuses absolute,
- 31:49Speaker 4: but Taylor could have made us look like idiots if
- 31:51Speaker 4: he wanted to. So.
- 31:53Speaker 9: Coach mikey A is not in today. Mikey A normally
- 31:56Speaker 9: runs this game. He's switching his list as the list
- 31:59Speaker 9: goes on. Yes, he would have gave you Jeremy Giambi there.
- 32:03Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, that would have been about right.
- 32:07Speaker 1: And then next time you see Pat the bat you
- 32:09Speaker 1: have to explain it to him, you know.
- 32:10Speaker 4: I mean some of some of the moves that Phillies
- 32:12Speaker 4: made over the year, they probably would have done that too.
- 32:14Speaker 4: They would have traded Mike Schmidt for Jeremy Giambi as well.
- 32:17Speaker 6: But can ask you u a Philly sports question, because
- 32:20Speaker 6: he had a big game last night, how are we
- 32:22Speaker 6: feeling about Joel embiid these days?
- 32:27Speaker 4: So here here is my take, and this qualifies as
- 32:31Speaker 4: a hot take. Right A couple of years ago, forget
- 32:33Speaker 4: what year it was, I said to my son, my
- 32:36Speaker 4: oldest Philip, I said, this is the time, right now,
- 32:39Speaker 4: they should trade hmid today.
- 32:41Speaker 8: This was how many years ago I said, they'll.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Get two or three All Star level guys for him.
- 32:46Speaker 4: At that point, he had played the most games of
- 32:48Speaker 4: his career in a year. I was like, there's no
- 32:50Speaker 4: way he's gonna.
- 32:51Speaker 8: Last great player.
- 32:55Speaker 4: I think he's just one of those like he's just
- 32:58Speaker 4: gonna be one of those guys that goes down as
- 32:59Speaker 4: a great but not a champion, doesn't win it, you know,
- 33:04Speaker 4: all that kind of thing, like it's just gonna be.
- 33:06Speaker 8: Yeah, great player, puts up incredible numbers.
- 33:09Speaker 4: You know, has a couple of records, things like that,
- 33:11Speaker 4: but not not a guy that goes down with multiple
- 33:14Speaker 4: championships or anything.
- 33:15Speaker 6: That I've been saying for two years, it's time to
- 33:17Speaker 6: trade Joe l Embi And I think right now it
- 33:18Speaker 6: might be a little too late, but yeah, could you
- 33:20Speaker 6: imagine with Tyrese Maxi and I don't know a Stefan
- 33:24Speaker 6: Castle from a draft, you know a couple of years ago,
- 33:26Speaker 6: that would be you know, it changes the timeline.
- 33:28Speaker 1: So you said it two years ago, coach, How long
- 33:30Speaker 1: ago did you say it, because that's what sports radio
- 33:32Speaker 1: was all about.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Did you say it before? He's right, okay, but you
- 33:35Speaker 3: said it out loud to somebody that done.
- 33:37Speaker 8: I said to my son, and I was like, I
- 33:39Speaker 8: know it sounds crazy, but now's the time.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Right now is the time, right get out, you get whoever,
- 33:44Speaker 4: You're gonna get an All Star, You're gonna get a
- 33:45Speaker 4: couple of picks, like you know, but I get it.
- 33:48Speaker 8: It's hard. He's just a hard one.
- 33:50Speaker 4: The guys like that are so unique that it makes
- 33:53Speaker 4: it really difficult because you don't have like any type
- 33:56Speaker 4: of blueprint for like shack back in you know, back
- 33:59Speaker 4: in the day, like there was a blueprint for like
- 34:01Speaker 4: low post physical imposing back to the basket that right,
- 34:04Speaker 4: and at that time the game was kind of built
- 34:06Speaker 4: that way.
- 34:07Speaker 8: And b there's just no real blueprint.
- 34:09Speaker 4: And it's like, how do you who plays around him,
- 34:12Speaker 4: who plays well around him?
- 34:13Speaker 8: How do you fit him?
- 34:13Speaker 4: And then obviously with the injury stuff, it's is he
- 34:16Speaker 4: going to be playing? When he plays, he's great, it's
- 34:18Speaker 4: just you can't get that many games out him.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Coach, if I told you we can get you a
- 34:22Speaker 1: Philadelphia guest, who's the guy from Philadelphia.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Sports history that you would most want to talk to?
- 34:28Speaker 8: Oh, that is a great question.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Yes, Barkley iverson.
- 34:33Speaker 8: Doctor Barkley'd be up there.
- 34:37Speaker 6: Eric Snow, we're only picking basketball players, Eric quite a bit.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Doug Glanville, Wow, that's a great.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Alright, why do you think you think about it? And uh,
- 34:50Speaker 1: we're going to talk here during the commercial break. Is
- 34:52Speaker 1: ears as a word here from our friends.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I believe a tire.
- 34:55Speaker 5: Rack that is correct.
- 34:56Speaker 6: For forty years, tire Rack has been helping customers on
- 35:00Speaker 6: the right tires for how, what and where they drive,
- 35:02Speaker 6: Shipped fast and free back by free road hazard protection,
- 35:05Speaker 6: with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation tireraq dot
- 35:09Speaker 6: com The way tire buying should be.

- 35:14Speaker 2: Live weekdays at three pm Eastern twelve pm Pacific on

- 35:23Speaker 1: So it's Thursday, and you all know on a Thursday
- 35:26Speaker 1: we think about it, Taylor, what are we thinking about.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Today on this?
- 35:31Speaker 7: Come on? You know the routine. We got imaging first,
- 35:34Speaker 7: We need that imaging tire tailor.
- 35:39Speaker 12: You know that segment.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Talk about it Tuesday on Hawkmann Crowder in Soleiroz. This
- 35:44Speaker 2: is like that, but bigger, bigger and better. At forty
- 35:49Speaker 2: eight hours later. This is think about it Thursday.
- 35:54Speaker 3: My apologies. I should go to the imaging there. It's
- 35:57Speaker 3: the best imaging. We had like.
- 35:58Speaker 9: Four ninety percent of our budget, our yearly budget on
- 36:03Speaker 9: that image.
- 36:04Speaker 6: I like how it's like their segment to talk about
- 36:07Speaker 6: it Tuesday, but to think about it so we don't
- 36:09Speaker 6: actually have to talk at all.
- 36:11Speaker 3: No, we could just sit here and think it's terrible radio.
- 36:13Speaker 7: No, no, no, no no, I'm good with it. Just the
- 36:15Speaker 7: name of the segment.
- 36:17Speaker 3: That got loud. Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 7: And I could have.
- 36:19Speaker 9: Went before them and done mullet over Mondays, but I
- 36:23Speaker 9: chose to think about it Thursdays.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Smart, all right, So go ahead, the floor is yours, tailor.
- 36:28Speaker 7: We could discuss it Wednesdays.
- 36:31Speaker 1: They're gonna grab Wednesdays. I'm telling you right now, it's
- 36:33Speaker 1: the only day of the week that's left. And I'm
- 36:35Speaker 1: telling you right now, Hawk is gonna grab it.
- 36:37Speaker 5: You wonder about it Wednesday.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Taylor mullet over what was it?
- 36:42Speaker 3: Mullet over Monday?
- 36:43Speaker 6: That sounds like mullet over Monday, Like I ha the
- 36:46Speaker 6: mullet haircut.
- 36:48Speaker 3: So like decision, A good decision.
- 36:49Speaker 9: Yeah, So I was watching the I was watching.
- 36:56Speaker 3: I wish you had less to be honest, it's useless.
- 36:59Speaker 7: It's useless information. That's what I do. Yeah, that's it,
- 37:04Speaker 7: it is what you do. I Sam, It's true. He
- 37:07Speaker 7: just disarms you with how use.
- 37:11Speaker 3: He throws a.
- 37:11Speaker 7: Dead fish in your lap.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Hey, I sent you, guys an article about a Phillies
- 37:15Speaker 1: fan who threw up on another Phillies fan.
- 37:16Speaker 7: How about that?
- 37:17Speaker 9: I was watching the I Hate Christian Latner thirty for
- 37:20Speaker 9: thirty this past.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Week and cut the mic up.
- 37:22Speaker 9: Who was the first athlete or person in sports you
- 37:25Speaker 9: can remember hating?
- 37:27Speaker 6: Ooh that is That's a great thing to think about it. Actually,
- 37:31Speaker 6: I would have been asked that question before we got
- 37:33Speaker 6: on the air.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Have something to think about it?
- 37:35Speaker 7: I could stall for you.
- 37:36Speaker 9: Yes, As a Yankee fan growing up, baseball was one
- 37:41Speaker 9: two three for me. So the Yankees were my holy grail.
- 37:45Speaker 9: No more Garcia Para. I hated, No Mare Garcia Para.
- 37:49Speaker 9: I hated anybody that compared Nomark to Derek Jeter.
- 37:51Speaker 7: No mar I hated it.
- 37:52Speaker 6: And his at bat routine is just so like your
- 37:55Speaker 6: things are already clipped up or whatever, just annoying. I
- 38:00Speaker 6: do have one, now that I've actually thought about it,
- 38:02Speaker 6: I went back in time, and I was like, who.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Have I because I've hated a lot of people.
- 38:06Speaker 6: And I started thinking about my basketball fandom, and I
- 38:09Speaker 6: was like, well, wait a second. I was a fan
- 38:10Speaker 6: of something else before basketball, and it was it was football,
- 38:13Speaker 6: and it was the Miami Dolphins when I was seven
- 38:15Speaker 6: years old and they were in the Super Bowl and
- 38:17Speaker 6: my parents had their first football party, probably their last
- 38:19Speaker 6: one actually, now that I think about it.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Joe Montana.
- 38:22Speaker 6: I hated that dude so much because he basically was
- 38:26Speaker 6: everything that Dan Marino should have been, because he got
- 38:29Speaker 6: all the Super Bowls, had all the glory, and Dan
- 38:31Speaker 6: Marino's over here sitting no running game and no defense
- 38:34Speaker 6: and has to lose all these playoff games and Joe
- 38:36Speaker 6: Montana's out there winning everything. They didn't play each other
- 38:38Speaker 6: that much for me to be like, I want that guy,
- 38:40Speaker 6: you know, his knees to go out, like I used
- 38:42Speaker 6: to say about Michael Jordan. But Joe Montana was the
- 38:45Speaker 6: first athlete I remember hating. Wow, thanks for bringing that
- 38:47Speaker 6: that memory.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Dad Montana says, if Marino played on those teams, he
- 38:51Speaker 1: would have won.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Six Super Bowls.
- 38:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't say that, man. It just kicks me off.
- 38:54Speaker 3: It's true, born out Ricardo.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Go ahead, Alan Houston, he was far down my list,
- 39:00Speaker 6: but yeah he was up there.
- 39:01Speaker 3: Yeah, they broke your hearts the next back in the day.
- 39:03Speaker 6: Although I disliked Latrelle's free will more, I don't know why.
- 39:07Speaker 5: I think it's because Alan Houston looked like a nice guy,
- 39:09Speaker 5: wasn't it.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Chris Child's the one that he fans hated the most. Yeah,
- 39:12Speaker 1: that was just the fight they got into and PJ.
- 39:14Speaker 6: Brown flipped him over, but he didn't really wasn't good
- 39:16Speaker 6: enough for us to hate him.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Dan, do you have a Do you have a first
- 39:21Speaker 3: athlete that you hated? You don't hate much, Dan, I
- 39:23Speaker 3: mean no, I don't, but I actually I do.
- 39:27Speaker 15: Calbert Cheney and Greg Graham of Indiana basketball, Bob Knight Era.
- 39:33Speaker 15: You know, I thought you saying the Wizards, Wizard Indiana Basketball.
- 39:39Speaker 3: It's the same thing. Yes, I'm not going to Iowa?
- 39:43Speaker 14: Was it?
- 39:43Speaker 3: Oh? I guess was up there on my list? I
- 39:46Speaker 3: used to hate him so much? Yeah, mine, this is
- 39:50Speaker 3: this is a tough one. Could I can I go coaching.
- 39:52Speaker 7: Or anybody in sports?
- 39:54Speaker 3: Yeah? Rich Kotite, the Jets head coach. Wow, you hated
- 39:57Speaker 3: your own guy. He was the worst coach in the
- 40:00Speaker 3: is three of the NFL, and of course he was
- 40:02Speaker 3: the jet coach, the athlete.
- 40:03Speaker 1: If I'm doing someone who's playing in the actual games,
- 40:06Speaker 1: it would be Wayne Gretzky. Okay, the great one, the
- 40:09Speaker 1: great one. The Islanders won for Stanley Cups. Gretzky was
- 40:12Speaker 1: coming for everything. They had to drive for five the Islanders.
- 40:15Speaker 1: They made it back to the Stanley Cup against the Oilers.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I think the Oilers swept them the second time around.
- 40:20Speaker 1: At Gretzky took off and became the greatest hockey player
- 40:23Speaker 1: that has ever lived.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Good lord. I hated Srman Thomas so much. Every time
- 40:28Speaker 3: he touched the ball it was seven yards for the Bills.
- 40:31Speaker 7: I hated JJ Reddick.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that was an easy one. I mean he doesn't.
- 40:36Speaker 6: I actually liked Kristin Ladner because you brought him up
- 40:38Speaker 6: to start this segment.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Actually liked him. I was a Duke fan. I love that. Yes,
- 40:42Speaker 3: did you hate woj more than Reddick? Though? Chris wo Jahowski.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I hated that Golly.
- 40:47Speaker 6: Dad would slapped the floor aggressively. He did not deserve
- 40:49Speaker 6: that kind of hate. JJ Reddick was kind of a jerk.
- 40:51Speaker 6: He was on Grayson Allen levels.
- 40:54Speaker 15: More, I hated Steve wo Jahowski Chris too, What Steve
- 41:02Speaker 1: Adrian from which, What the Huskie did we say?
