- 0:00The Apocalypse of John. Revelation.
- 0:04They call it the end of the World, the final book of the
- 0:07Bible. A cryptic, chaotic vision of
- 0:11destruction, judgment, and rebirth.
- 0:14It's been studied, feared, and misinterpreted for nearly 2000
- 0:18years. Wars have been fought in its
- 0:21name. Cults have risen and fallen on
- 0:24its prophecies. It has been a tool of
- 0:27manipulation, a beacon of hope, and a Riddle that refuses to be
- 0:31solved. Revelation is unlike any other
- 0:35book in the Bible. It isn't history, it isn't
- 0:38poetry, it isn't a sermon. It is a vision, a nightmare
- 0:44written in code. It's pages are filled with
- 0:47beasts that rise from the sea, plagues that devour nations and
- 0:52a final battle between good and evil that ends with fire
- 0:55reigning from the heavens. It is the book that gave the
- 0:59world the Four Horsemen, the Antichrist, the number 666 and
- 1:04the promise of a New Jerusalem. And yet it is not a stand alone
- 1:09creation. It is a fusion of ancient
- 1:13apocalyptic traditions, a patchwork of symbols that
- 1:16stretch back long before Christianity.
- 1:19To understand it is to unravel a puzzle of hidden meanings,
- 1:23buried warnings, and desperate hope.
- 1:27Who wrote it? That question alone has divided
- 1:30scholars for centuries. Was it the same John who wrote
- 1:36the Gospel? Was it a political dissident
- 1:39writing under a pseudonym? Or was it something else,
- 1:43something dictated from beyond the veil?
- 1:47The Book of Revelation does not simply tell a story.
- 1:50It delivers a warning. None.
- 2:49John of Patmos, the man who received a vision of the end of
- 2:53the world, the man who saw heaven split open and a final
- 2:58battle that would decide the fate of all creation.
- 3:01But who was he? History offers little.
- 3:05What we know is speculation. John, if that was even his real
- 3:11name, was most likely a Jewish Christian prophet, a follower of
- 3:15Jesus who lived in the late 1st century AD.
- 3:18Some believe he was the same John who wrote the Gospel of
- 3:20John. Others argue he was a completely
- 3:23different person, a wandering Mystic whose visions would
- 3:28define Christian eschatology for centuries to come.
- 3:33He came from Judea, a region under Roman rule.
- 3:37It was a time of turmoil. Christians were seen as a
- 3:40dangerous sect, accused of sedition and defying the gods of
- 3:45Rome. The empire demanded loyalty, but
- 3:49for men like John, true loyalty belonged to only one Kingdom,
- 3:53the Kingdom of God. At some point in his life, John
- 3:57found himself on Patmos, a desolate island in the Aegean
- 4:01Sea. Some say he was sent there by
- 4:03Emperor demission, punished for preaching the gospel in defiance
- 4:07of Rome. Others claim he went there
- 4:10willingly, seeking solitude for spiritual revelation.
- 4:15It was on this island, surrounded by nothing but wind
- 4:19and waves, that John claimed to have received the visions
- 4:22recorded in the Book of Revelation.
- 4:24He saw a world unraveling, the beast rising, Babylon falling,
- 4:31the Lamb returning in glory. But why did he write it?
- 4:35Some say it was a coded message to persecuted Christians, a way
- 4:40to warn them that Rome, the whore of Babylon, would one day
- 4:44fall. Others see it as pure prophecy,
- 4:48a true glimpse into the cosmic war between good and evil.
- 4:53And then there is the speculation.
- 4:56Was John's vision merely the product of exile, a mind
- 5:00unraveling in isolation? Or was it something more?
- 5:04Was he a Mystic who tapped into a deeper current of human
- 5:07consciousness, a channel for something beyond our
- 5:10understanding? Some have even suggested an
- 5:13extraterrestrial origin. In the end, John of Patmos
- 5:17remains an enigma, a prophet, a prisoner, a messenger of the
- 5:23end. And whether his visions were
- 5:25divine truth or the ramblings of an exile, 1 fact remains.
- 5:31What he wrote changed the world forever.
- 5:52John was alone, exiled, surrounded by nothing but the
- 5:56wind, the waves, and the weight of time.
- 6:00And then one day, it happened. A voice like a trumpet, calling
- 6:05his name come up here. And in an instant he was lifted
- 6:10beyond the world he knew, into a place beyond understanding.
- 6:15He saw a throne, high and blinding, surrounded by 24
- 6:19elders, clothed in white, crowned in gold.
- 6:23Lightning flashed, Thunder roared, and before the throne
- 6:28burned 7 lamps, the seven spirits of God around them,
- 6:32creatures unlike anything on earth.
- 6:34A lion, an ox, an eagle and a man covered in eyes, their wings
- 6:40stretching across eternity. And in the hand of the one
- 6:44seated on the throne, a scroll sealed 7 times over.
- 6:49No one could open it, no king, no prophet, no Angel, no one in
- 6:54heaven or on earth. John wept.
- 6:58But then the Lamb appeared, slain yet standing.
- 7:02He took the scroll, and as he opened the first seal, a rider
- 7:05emerged. A White Horse, it's rider,
- 7:08crowned bow and hand. Conquest.
- 7:11The second seal shattered a red horse, it's rider bringing war
- 7:15and bloodshed. The third, a Black Horse holding
- 7:19scales, ushering in famine. The 4th, a pale horse, it's
- 7:24writer's name was Death, and hell followed with him.
- 7:28And yet, the vision did not end. A great dragon, red as fire,
- 7:33stood before a woman cloaked in the sun.
- 7:36She cried out in pain, ready to give birth, but the dragon
- 7:39waited to devour her child. Then suddenly, war erupted in
- 7:46heaven. Michael and his angels fought
- 7:48against the dragon. Swords of fire clashed, the
- 7:52heavens trembled, and then the dragon fell, cast down to the
- 7:57earth to wage war against the children of man.
- 8:00Then another beast rose from the sea. 7 heads, 10 horns.
- 8:07His power was great, his name undeniable. 666 He made war
- 8:14against the Saints, demanded that all bear his mark, and
- 8:16ruled with terror. And in his shadow, Babylon, the
- 8:21great harlot, draped in scarlet and gold, holding a golden cup
- 8:25filled with the blood of prophets.
- 8:28She sat atop a beast, revelling in her corruption.
- 8:31And then she fell. Fire devoured her, her merchants
- 8:36wept as her riches turned to ash.
- 8:40And then the end. The heavens opened once more.
- 8:45A White Horse appeared. Its rider called Faithful and
- 8:48True. His robe was dipped in blood, a
- 8:51sword in his mouth. He descended, followed by the
- 8:54armies of heaven. The beast was taken.
- 8:57The dragon was bound in chains. The dead rose.
- 9:01The books were opened. And then a new heaven, a new
- 9:06earth. The old world burned away.
- 9:09The New Jerusalem descended. No more sorrow, no more pain,
- 9:13only light. The vision faded, but the voice
- 9:18still echoed. Behold, I am coming soon.
- 9:41The earliest complete version of Revelation appears in the Codex
- 9:45Sinaiticus, a manuscript from the 4th century AD, one of the
- 9:50oldest Bibles ever discovered. Other copies exist in the Codex
- 9:54Alexandrinus and Codex Vaticanus, though in those parts
- 9:58of Revelation are missing. The oldest physical fragment we
- 10:02have is Papyrus 47A, worn and delicate piece of history dated
- 10:08to around AD 250 to 300. But long before these
- 10:13manuscripts, revelation was already spreading in the 2nd
- 10:17century AD Christian writers like Justin Martyr and Irenaeus
- 10:20of Lyon quoted from it, proving that by AD 180 it was already
- 10:25well known. It was widely accepted in Asia
- 10:29Minor in what is now Turkey, where Christian communities
- 10:31embraced its apocalyptic warnings.
- 10:34But not everyone was convinced. In other regions, some churches
- 10:38rejected it entirely, calling it too mystical, too extreme.
- 10:42Because Revelation didn't appear in a vacuum, it borrowed from
- 10:46traditions much older than itself, from the Jewish
- 10:50apocalyptic writings. It echoes the Book of Daniel,
- 10:53written around 165 BCA text, filled with visions of beasts,
- 10:59falling kingdoms and a final divine judgement, imagery that
- 11:05would find new life in Revelation.
- 11:09The Book of Enoch, another ancient Jewish text, also
- 11:11describes end time prophecies and celestial battles, themes
- 11:15that seeped into John's vision. And then there is the influence
- 11:19of Greece and Rome. Some scholars argue that
- 11:23Revelation wasn't just prophecy. It was rebellion.
- 11:26A warning wrapped in metaphor. The beast, a veiled symbol for
- 11:31the Roman Empire, a force that sought to crush the early
- 11:35Christian movement. The war between light and
- 11:38darkness. An idea that reaches even
- 11:40further back, aligning with the dualistic cosmic struggle found
- 11:44in Zoroastrianism, an ancient Persian faith.
- 11:48But even with its deep roots, Revelation was never a
- 11:51guaranteed piece of Scripture. Many early Christian leaders
- 11:54questioned whether it belonged in the Bible at all.
- 11:58It's cryptic nature, It's violent imagery, It's coded
- 12:01warnings. Some feared it was too
- 12:04dangerous. 2 Misunderstood. It wasn't until the Council of
- 12:09Carthage in AD 397 that Revelation was officially
- 12:12cemented into the New Testament, solidifying its place as the
- 12:16final chapter of the Christian Canon.
- 12:20A book nearly rejected, a prophecy almost erased.
- 12:24And yet, 2000 years later, it's words continue to stir minds,
- 12:30inspire fear, and provoke questions that have no easy
- 12:34answers. In the days of Babylon, long
- 12:45before John would put pen to paper, another man saw glimpses
- 12:49of the future. Daniel, a captive in the empire
- 12:53of King Nebuchadnezzar, was given visions that would stretch
- 12:56across time itself. He saw four beasts, each one
- 13:00rising in power, devouring what came before.
- 13:05These beasts, he was told, were kingdoms, empires that would
- 13:09rise and fall before the final judgement.
- 13:12Centuries later, John would see the same thing, but in
- 13:15Revelation. The beasts merge into 17 heads,
- 13:1910 horns, a monstrosity that is not just a Kingdom, but the
- 13:25culmination of all the world's fallen empires.
- 13:29Daniel spoke of a son of man, a figure who would come on the
- 13:32clouds, given dominion over all nations.
- 13:35John saw him too, but now he rode a White Horse, his robe
- 13:41dipped in blood, a sword in his mouth.
- 13:45No longer just a prophecy, now a return.
- 13:49Daniel was given a scroll, it's meaning hidden, its contents
- 13:52sealed until the end of time. John saw that scroll again, but
- 13:58in his vision, the lamb took it and broke the seven seals,
- 14:01unleashing war, famine, and judgement.
- 14:05The end had begun. Daniel was told of a great
- 14:09tribulation, a time of suffering unlike any before it.
- 14:14In Revelation, that suffering is given form.
- 14:17Plagues, war, the wrath of God poured out upon the world.
- 14:22And finally both men saw the resurrection, the Dead Rising
- 14:26from their graves, some to eternal life, others to shame
- 14:30and destruction. For Daniel, it was a mystery,
- 14:34distant and unresolved. For John, it was the final act,
- 14:39The great white throne. The books opened, the judgement
- 14:43complete. Daniel saw the outline of a
- 14:45prophecy. John saw its completion. 2
- 14:49visions, centuries apart, but connected by the same unseen
- 14:53force, the same warning, the same end.
- 15:08The Beast. A creature that is more than
- 15:11just an animal. Something unnatural, something
- 15:15wrong. In the book of Daniel, a vision
- 15:18came to him in the night. 4 beasts rising from the sea, each
- 15:23more terrible than the last. Centuries later, John of Patmos
- 15:27would see something even worse. The beasts had merged.
- 15:31Now a single entity rose from the abyss.
- 15:35It had the body of a leopard, the feet of a bear, the mouth of
- 15:40a lion. And like Daniel's vision, it had
- 15:4310 horns, ruling the earth in the final days.
- 15:48But now its power came from the dragon himself, a force beyond
- 15:52human comprehension. What are these creatures?
- 15:56For generations, scholars have interpreted them as empires,
- 16:01symbols of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome.
- 16:06Others see them as literal end time rulers, tyrants who will
- 16:10shape the final days of the world.
- 16:12But what if these beasts are older than we think?
- 16:17Long before the Bible, the Babylonians carved visions of
- 16:21chimeric monstrosities into stone.
- 16:24Creatures that were part man, part beast, unnatural
- 16:28combinations of lion, eagle, bull, and serpent.
- 16:32In the Babylonian creation myth, Taiyamat, the great dragon of
- 16:36the Abyss, gave birth to monsters.
- 16:38Her army was filled with hybrid creatures, beast men, winged
- 16:42serpents, scorpion men, and demons with multiple heads and
- 16:46limbs, twisted forms that defied the natural order.
- 16:50When John and Daniel saw their beasts, did they see the same
- 16:54chaos forces that the Babylonians once feared?
- 16:58The Book of Enoch, an ancient Jewish text once considered
- 17:02scripture, describes another vision of creatures born from
- 17:05corruption. When the Watchers, the fallen
- 17:09angels, descended to earth, they did not just corrupt humanity,
- 17:13they corrupted the very fabric of life itself.
- 17:17They created monsters. According to Enoch, these angels
- 17:21experimented on animals, twisting them into hybrid
- 17:25abominations, creatures that should never have existed.
- 17:29Chimeras of man, beast and demon.
- 17:34A pattern, a cycle, a warning. Something inhuman will rise
- 17:40again, and just like before, it will wear the face of a beast.
- 17:57Before the visions of John, of Patmos, before Daniel's beasts
- 18:01rose from the sea, the ancients already knew how the world would
- 18:05end. It had happened before, and it
- 18:08would happen again. In ancient Babylon, they called
- 18:12it the Time of Era, A war God restless in his dwelling, a
- 18:17world right for destruction, a throne left vacant and an empire
- 18:22consumed by fire and plague. The Epic of Era might just be
- 18:27the oldest apocalypse prophecy ever written.
- 18:30Era was not the creator. He was the Destroyer, a God of
- 18:35plague, war, and desolation. His wrath could turn empires to
- 18:41dust. But he wasn't the ruler of the
- 18:43gods. He needed permission to strike.
- 18:47So he went to Marduk, the chief God of Babylon, and whispered to
- 18:50him. You have ruled for too long.
- 18:54You are weary. Step aside, let me take over.
- 18:59And for a moment, Marduk hesitated.
- 19:01In that hesitation, Era's time began.
- 19:04Marduk left his throne, and the world fell into chaos.
- 19:07Cities burned, plagues spread like wildfire.
- 19:11Crops failed, the land drowned in blood.
- 19:16This is exactly what Revelation describes in its visions of the
- 19:19Last Days, a time when the divine order is disrupted and
- 19:24the forces of destruction are unleashed.
- 19:27But Era didn't act alone. He had a secret weapon, the
- 19:31Seven Divine Warriors, born of Anu, the Supreme God.
- 19:37They were unlike any other beings in Babylonian myth.
- 19:40Each one embodied a different force of destruction.
- 19:43One burned like fire. One roared like a lion,
- 19:47paralyzing men with fear. 1 shattered mountains.
- 19:51One unleashed the wind like a flood.
- 19:54One brought sickness and plague. One moved across the earth,
- 19:58leaving no survivors. The last was Venom itself,
- 20:02slaying whatever lived Era called upon them, saying.
- 20:06Go do your duty, wipe out the black headed folk, cut down
- 20:10their cities, make them fear the gods once more.
- 20:15And so the Seven marched into the world, spreading war, famine
- 20:19and death. Just like the seven trumpets and
- 20:22seven bowls of wrath and revelation.
- 20:24Just like the four horsemen of the apocalypse riding across the
- 20:28earth. What John saw in his visions was
- 20:31not new, IT was a retelling of the same destruction, one that
- 20:36had already happened when Era ruled the world.
- 20:39In Revelation of Final Kingdom rises a beast with 10 kings
- 20:44given power by the dragon. This Kingdom does not belong to
- 20:48men, it is given to them by something greater, something
- 20:53ancient. What Revelation describes is not
- 20:57the first apocalypse. It is a repeat, a cycle that
- 21:01began with the gods and will end with their return.
- 21:05The ancients believed they left, but maybe they're coming back.
- 21:21Throughout history, spiritual revelations and hallucinatory
- 21:25experiences have often been linked.
- 21:28From the shamans of Siberia to the oracles of ancient Greece,
- 21:33Mystics have entered altered states of consciousness to
- 21:36access divine visions. Could John's vision have been
- 21:41the result of something similar? Ancient prophets, including
- 21:46John, practiced fasting, isolation, and extreme prayer,
- 21:52all of which can trigger altered states of consciousness.
- 21:56Long periods without food, water, or sleep can push the
- 22:00mind into a visionary state. At the time John lived, many
- 22:06cultures already used psychoactive plants in religious
- 22:09ceremonies. The Greeks had caikaeon, a
- 22:13possible psychedelic drink used in the Elusinian mysteries.
- 22:17The Persians and Indians used soma and hyoma, which induced
- 22:23trance like visions. Even in the Mediterranean,
- 22:26ergot, a natural LSD like fungus, datura and Amanita
- 22:31muscaria mushrooms were known to cause powerful hallucinatory
- 22:35experiences. John's vision and revelation
- 22:39bears uncanny similarities to known psychedelic experiences.
- 22:44Hyper real imagery. Psychedelic users describe
- 22:48seeing otherworldly entities, vivid landscapes and cosmic
- 22:52battles that feel more real than reality itself.
- 22:57Loss of time and space. John sees past, present and
- 23:01future all at once. A common feature of deep
- 23:04psychedelic experiences. Encounters with supernatural
- 23:08beings. Many describe meeting angels,
- 23:11gods, and celestial creatures in altered states.
- 23:15A sense of ultimate truth. People who have taken high doses
- 23:19of psychedelics often claim they received a message about the end
- 23:23of the world, the nature of existence, or the divine order
- 23:27of the universe. Was John A Patmos experiencing
- 23:32divine prophecy or a chemically induced trip?
- 23:37Thousands of years earlier, in ancient Babylon, a priest wrote
- 23:41about a war God named Era who destroyed the world in fire and
- 23:45plagues. In his vision, Era spoke to the
- 23:50seven divine warriors of destruction.
- 23:54He ordered them to bring famine, war, disease, and death upon the
- 23:58land. They obeyed and civilization
- 24:02collapsed into chaos. This is the same apocalyptic
- 24:06pattern we see in Revelation. Different cultures, different
- 24:09times, same visions. The Book of Revelation has
- 24:25haunted the human mind for centuries.
- 24:27It is a prophecy, a warning, a mystery, a glimpse into the end,
- 24:32or perhaps into the past, repeating itself in new forms,
- 24:36new names, new ages. It is a book of war, of beasts
- 24:41and plagues, of heaven opening and history unraveling.
- 24:46But beneath the symbols, the visions, the terror, what is
- 24:51Revelation really telling us if the ancients left us anything?
- 24:55It is the pattern, a cycle of rise and fall, kings and gods,
- 25:00creation and destruction. We see it in Babylon, in Egypt,
- 25:05in Rome, in every empire that ever dared to call itself
- 25:08eternal. The gods build, they rule, they
- 25:12vanish. And then, in the moment of
- 25:15collapse, they return. But who are they?
- 25:19Are they the Anunnaki, watching from beyond the veil?
- 25:24Are they echoes of a war that has played out before and will
- 25:27play out again? Are they the beasts of our own
- 25:30making, the monstrous rulers we empower in our darkest times?
- 25:36Maybe John of Patmos saw the future.
- 25:39Maybe he saw the past. Maybe he saw something that
- 25:43doesn't fit neatly into time at all.
- 25:45The war in heaven, the war on earth.
- 25:49The forces that rise, fall and rise again.
- 25:52The return of something old, something vast, something
- 25:57inevitable. Perhaps the greatest revelation
- 26:00isn't about the end at all. Perhaps it's that the cycle has
- 26:04never truly stopped. None.
