- 0:16Speaker 3: Radio Hdarky.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Thanks mate, Thanks mate, Thanks guys. You're Okaykesey, I'm jas.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Don't start it as keezy, okay.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Go vie. Did something happen?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Nothing?
- 0:29Speaker 4: No, nothing happened, man, I you Jesse was just for weary,
- 0:33Speaker 4: stay right, very quietus.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I can handle one of one. For about thirty seconds
- 0:45Speaker 1: in the office, I briefly was low energ for thirty
- 0:48Speaker 1: I was just zoned out. And then Jason instantly you're
- 0:50Speaker 1: a kkzy, go easy on Keezy.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Everyone, and you know what, Jase, fuck you for caring
- 0:54Speaker 2: about how he feels.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Thank you, Pegs. Well, can I just say very confusing?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Can I say.
- 1:01Speaker 4: That it wasn't just thirty seconds of low energy he
- 1:04Speaker 4: arrived with low energy? Was it was like a little leanky,
- 1:08Speaker 4: kind of sad giraffe and he was just sort of floppy,
- 1:12Speaker 4: looked quite pale. Then he sat down and let out
- 1:16Speaker 4: a big sigh and then he wasn't really talking and
- 1:21Speaker 4: very very unlike Kezy, And all I want to say
- 1:24Speaker 4: to you, Keyzy, is it's okay to not be okay man.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Thanks fellas.
- 1:28Speaker 2: You're known for your exciting arrivals.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Yeah, it's Keezy a big goofy basket.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Is It's just all I was doing. Keezy is checking
- 1:41Speaker 3: in men.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Well the problem is, Jase, like it's very hard
- 1:44Speaker 1: for me to be the energy of the big show,
- 1:46Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like my role is to
- 1:47Speaker 1: come in here and breathe life into two old corpses
- 1:50Speaker 1: and then make them do radio, and sometimes I'm low energy.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I just find it sad that pugs.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, you try and look out for your workmates,
- 2:02Speaker 4: your mates, your covers.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Which you should you should, yes, you.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Should, to see if they're okay. And then they turn
- 2:09Speaker 4: that around and have a go at you.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah you know what I mean and call you old stuff.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Jase.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I think you've got to think about where that's coming from.
- 2:19Speaker 2: If you're already picked up that someone's not really in
- 2:22Speaker 2: a good way, you can imagine that that sort of
- 2:25Speaker 2: better response comes from a.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Place I say, mate, Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I don't think he means yeah, you know what I mean,
- 2:31Speaker 4: so I think it's coming from another place.
- 2:34Speaker 3: So it's cool. Man, It's like water off a duck's back.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I'm great, but just check out.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 4: So I think you know, and it's important for people
- 2:45Speaker 4: to know about that, and that's why I bring it
- 2:47Speaker 4: up on the show and stuff. If Keys is not okay,
- 2:50Speaker 4: then let's go easy on Kezy Day.
- 2:52Speaker 3: That's all.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I've always loved that about the Big Show. Yes, it's
- 2:55Speaker 2: just how in tune we are with each other's mental health.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Heykeasy, yeah man, totally pugs amen, brother, No, I knew
- 3:04Speaker 1: there was a coming there as well. Dammit. What has
- 3:07Speaker 1: actually got me down is this morning. I spent the
- 3:09Speaker 1: morning trying to film my first even social post like
- 3:13Speaker 1: paid one ah yeah, and it's not paid very much.
- 3:15Speaker 1: But my wife's like, I should just do it that way.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Other companies will see that you can make funny videos
- 3:20Speaker 1: and they might give you more. And it's like, okay,
- 3:23Speaker 1: she's not She's never bloody wrong. I hate it. I
- 3:27Speaker 1: hate filming social videos for a product. Yeah, I hate
- 3:33Speaker 1: doing it just on my own, Like if it's me
- 3:35Speaker 1: and me, Iyah, happy to do it. If it's at me. Jason,
- 3:38Speaker 1: my big show pugs like sweet as often as many
- 3:41Speaker 1: videos as you want. Just me, I find it very wanky. Sure,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I know what I mean.
- 3:47Speaker 2: And I think it's a step higher than it in
- 3:49Speaker 2: terms of wanky when it's a paid client thing. Absolutely,
- 3:53Speaker 2: and get your bag, get your money, get your bag.
- 3:57Speaker 2: But it is still wanky.
- 3:58Speaker 4: But also I've had an observation of you, No, and
- 4:06Speaker 4: this is this is genuine right, you're a perfectionist as well,
- 4:12Speaker 4: So you don't like doing shit things.
- 4:15Speaker 2: No, stand it.
- 4:18Speaker 3: And I'm not.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Saying that your your personal thing was a shit thing.
- 4:22Speaker 4: And I'm not saying that ninety five percent of the
- 4:24Speaker 4: things you post on Instagram and shit.
- 4:26Speaker 1: You're not saying that.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I'm not saying that.
- 4:30Speaker 4: But like so many people back in the day, right
- 4:35Speaker 4: used to say to me, oh, you're a perfectionist, and
- 4:37Speaker 4: I'm like, there's no fucking way I'm a perfectionist.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 4:41Speaker 4: But actually I realized deep down that I did care.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I've reached an age now forty three where I.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Don't care genuinely.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Sometimes I'll give myself a step up a cut if
- 4:52Speaker 4: I do a bad, bad job, but if I do
- 4:54Speaker 4: a moderately bad job sometimes like if I do a
- 4:57Speaker 4: really bad radio show, I'm like, yeah, shit, who cares?
- 5:01Speaker 3: Whereas you shall get very upset about that stuff.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I'm the same as you, Jason, never beat myself up
- 5:05Speaker 2: about it any.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Relaxed, so chill. After the field day, I move on.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you do you have to.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I mean, look, I am a perfectionist, especially when it
- 5:17Speaker 1: comes to broadcasting and like with career wise and making stuff.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Because I worked into you hate working with me, then no,
- 5:24Speaker 1: you're great because it's entertaining because I get really annoyed
- 5:28Speaker 1: at the way you operate. Yeah, that's funny. But like
- 5:31Speaker 1: if we make a video or something and I've actually
- 5:33Speaker 1: a skill that you have to learn, Pugs isn't even listening.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But that's fine. Is when someone else is cutting something
- 5:39Speaker 1: that you have been involved with, just lead them to it.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I could see that. But then every now and then,
- 5:45Speaker 1: if you if you feel you could make it better,
- 5:48Speaker 1: figuring out how to communicate that in a way that
- 5:50Speaker 1: doesn't piss the person. You're really good at that.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You are really good at that. But like we film
- 5:54Speaker 2: stuff all the time that you guys have input on
- 5:57Speaker 2: in the filming process, and then it's my job to
- 5:59Speaker 2: go and that. Yes, and whenever there is something, obviously
- 6:03Speaker 2: I want to know if there's something that I could
- 6:04Speaker 2: do that's better. And you are really good at communicating that,
- 6:07Speaker 2: granted you do it all the time.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Not at all, you do want that Pugs from Chris Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 1: The Archy Big Show with days from four on Radio
- 6:23Speaker 1: Hurarchy They Big Show podcast. Yeah, Jacon, don't give a
- 6:27Speaker 1: ship something like you give a ship?
- 6:30Speaker 4: I tell you what man back in the day as
- 6:34Speaker 4: an actor talk about editing.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you can sit back watch the movie and go
- 6:39Speaker 1: what the fuck?
- 6:39Speaker 4: Yes, the amount of times I watched it and went
- 6:42Speaker 4: what the fuck have they done? The first episode of
- 6:48Speaker 4: Mister Gormsby I was massively depressed. I because I was
- 6:54Speaker 4: really happy with my performance in that show, and I
- 6:58Speaker 4: was like, I was like, what the fuck was that?
- 7:03Speaker 1: But but I didn't well because I left stuff out
- 7:07Speaker 1: or they chose the wrong.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yeah, because I thought I'd done better takes of certain
- 7:11Speaker 4: things and just how it was put together.
- 7:14Speaker 3: But in fairness to them, they actually did a great job.
- 7:18Speaker 4: And I think I had quite high expectations of myself
- 7:21Speaker 4: and that and so I saw it and it didn't
- 7:23Speaker 4: meet my high expectations.
- 7:25Speaker 3: But I very early on in my career.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Just don't I don't watch the ship I do, right,
- 7:31Speaker 4: I just don't watch it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You don't watch Dog Squad? No, no missing out.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Well because you know, I mean, I get sick of
- 7:40Speaker 4: the sound of my own voice. Well when I want
- 7:41Speaker 4: to listen to myself, sometimes stumble across might will stumble
- 7:46Speaker 4: across it, right, And but then drummer and my wife goes,
- 7:51Speaker 4: I love that guy. It's cute, and I go, yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 4: apparently he's hotly and hung like a.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Horse, and it's word. It's like a real good skill
- 8:06Speaker 1: doing what we do, even in this like we're not
- 8:08Speaker 1: I'm not an actor yeat aj yet fellas, but even
- 8:13Speaker 1: in this like where we do stuff and then just
- 8:15Speaker 1: being able to say, I'm picturing it in my head,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but I'm not the one putting it together. At the
- 8:20Speaker 1: end of the day, it's probably not going to be
- 8:22Speaker 1: what I'm picturing.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, but I mean usually, I mean, unless there's
- 8:27Speaker 2: a time frame on it in which it needs to
- 8:30Speaker 2: be getting out as soon as possible, and there's no
- 8:34Speaker 2: time really for edits.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Or feedback or whatever.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I do enjoy and appreciate getting the notes from you guys,
- 8:40Speaker 2: because I mean at the end.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Of the day.
- 8:41Speaker 2: This, so you do appreciate them, Chris, Yeah, but what
- 8:47Speaker 2: was that Chase massively thought for fun?
- 8:51Speaker 3: You do appreciate that.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I appreciate it, Yeah, because oh, That's what I was
- 8:55Speaker 2: going to say was at the end of the day,
- 8:57Speaker 2: you guys weren't at the conception of the show. And
- 9:00Speaker 2: even though I mean a year and a half and
- 9:01Speaker 2: I think I have a pretty good idea, I still
- 9:03Speaker 2: feel like I'm learning, and I still feel like I
- 9:04Speaker 2: want to know, you know, especially from people that have
- 9:08Speaker 2: experienced with the comedic stuff.
- 9:10Speaker 3: And oh you want to know from people with experience, yeah, like.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Chris, Yeah, yeah, yeah. But the key to it is
- 9:17Speaker 1: because I remember when I first started working on TV.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You go out your film a field story, and it's
- 9:24Speaker 1: like you've got all these gags and there. Then you
- 9:25Speaker 1: sit down with the editor and then this is before
- 9:28Speaker 1: I could edit myself, and then you'd painstakingly he'd put
- 9:30Speaker 1: it together and you'd be like, oh, now can you
- 9:31Speaker 1: do this? Can you do this? Can you do this?
- 9:32Speaker 1: Instead of just going hey bro, you get started on
- 9:35Speaker 1: it for like an hour, whack it all together, and
- 9:37Speaker 1: then come in and just took it with like a
- 9:39Speaker 1: few things. Yeah, that's the way to do it. Don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: sit there through the whole process, otherwise you'll the editor
- 9:43Speaker 1: will want to kill you, and you'll probably want to
- 9:45Speaker 1: kill yourself.
- 9:46Speaker 3: And this will be no surpriety. There will be no.
- 9:50Speaker 4: I've never been involved in the technical side of constructing things.
- 9:53Speaker 4: I used to get quite worked out when I see
- 9:55Speaker 4: myself and how they cut things together. My attitude for
- 10:00Speaker 4: twenty years has been do the job, get.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Out right, that's the good way to do it, and
- 10:05Speaker 2: then you let it go. But then you then really Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I used to go and do auditions and if I
- 10:09Speaker 4: didn't do the perfect audition, I would bash myself for
- 10:14Speaker 4: days on end, you know. But that was because of
- 10:18Speaker 4: the pressure of trying to get work and train my
- 10:20Speaker 4: thousands of children. But then I just went, I've got
- 10:24Speaker 4: to stop doing that.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It's killing me.
- 10:25Speaker 4: So I go and do my best the best I could.
- 10:28Speaker 4: It might not be perfect, but then I go, Okay,
- 10:30Speaker 4: I'm forgetting about that. And it was amazing, actually a
- 10:33Speaker 4: true story, when I got that attitude, which was go
- 10:37Speaker 4: and do your best, forget about it. How much work I.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Got, Well, they can smell fear on you, right.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Yeah, And there's nothing worse than an actor, because I
- 10:44Speaker 4: did a lot of reading opposite actors for auditions and shit,
- 10:48Speaker 4: and they'd come in and they'd say, oh my god,
- 10:50Speaker 4: I really need this job, and you go.
- 10:53Speaker 5: You're fucked, already fucked, you know, don't even we should
- 10:57Speaker 5: just call it now, don't worry about it, or even
- 11:00Speaker 5: more ridiculous amount of will come in and go, sorry,
- 11:04Speaker 5: I didn't really.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Learn the lines, but can we? And you go, you're fucked.
- 11:09Speaker 4: But anyway, see Keysy's better now, got a bit more
- 11:12Speaker 4: color in his little chip cheeks.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I do, thanks, guys, feel so much better. I was
- 11:18Speaker 1: really down the dance, but you look at look look
- 11:22Speaker 1: out for an exciting shitty social that it's not. It's
- 11:25Speaker 1: gonna be good. But what my social video? That social videos?
- 11:28Speaker 3: What did they ask me to do?
- 11:29Speaker 1: I have to because you've got too many thousands of followers,
- 11:32Speaker 1: which are all definitely real.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Can I if I did do that, you could edit
- 11:36Speaker 3: up for me a pug son. I don't know how
- 11:38Speaker 3: to do that.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Ship depends.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You have to give him half. You have to give
- 11:42Speaker 1: him half.
- 11:43Speaker 3: He's such a money Yeah, yeah, you have opened your wallet.
- 11:49Speaker 3: When you open your walllew up mouth mouth come out.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he just invented that. Just then, that's pretty good.
- 11:55Speaker 2: That's pretty good. I mean, also, just I get why
- 11:58Speaker 2: you would also be extra adverse to what you had
- 12:01Speaker 2: to make today after what we discussed that we saw
- 12:05Speaker 2: and you look at that and you're like, oh my god,
- 12:06Speaker 2: that was horrific to sit through.
- 12:10Speaker 4: And you're gonna understand from your wife's perspective to Kisy,
- 12:12Speaker 4: she just wants the cash.
- 12:14Speaker 1: She actually did say that. She said, can you hope
- 12:16Speaker 1: and film this so we can get the cash please.
- 12:18Speaker 1: She actually had to film bits for me, which I
- 12:19Speaker 1: struggled with, and she was commenting on my performance. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: I'm not buying that one.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Damn.
- 12:27Speaker 3: I'm so keen to see that. That's we'll sharing on
- 12:29Speaker 3: the big show.
- 12:30Speaker 4: No not. It's just reminded me of something with my
- 12:32Speaker 4: wife when she asked me to read a script with her.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Terrible of the time to do that, man, because were
- 12:39Speaker 1: you trying to upstay chair or throw her off?
- 12:40Speaker 4: Well, I just naturally did because she's very suckle keezy,
- 12:44Speaker 4: like we're talking about you, so.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I know, and I'm looking forward to listen. But you
- 12:47Speaker 1: I know what you're like, You're a shit steer. You
- 12:49Speaker 1: couldn't help yourself. You'd be trying to throw her off.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Maybe listen to The Hurducky Big Show fort seven on
- 12:57Speaker 1: Radio Hurdarchy every weekday.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Thanks mate, Thanks mate,
