- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hello and welcome to the weekly glimpse guide Sunday snack for your soul.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I'm Megan, your host.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Um the energy this week is serving up some pretty neat things.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: So um the energy is all about healing, healing yourself, healing old old wounds, and being open.
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: It is an invitation to uh you know, last week we kind of looked inside.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: This week we're gonna be taking more action.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be um trying to be non-judgmental, um, open to new perspectives.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And um today uh in the sermon at my church, um we're talking, uh he's starting like a whole new series, but he talked about um, I can't remember what he called it, but um I'm gonna say extreme individualism, which um can be hard to balance.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: So a lot of the work I do is wanting people to really know their soul, know their soul's purpose.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't always mean like I'm always gonna be happy or I just want to do what makes me happy, you know.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: And we often say like be selfish, but um, it's a little bit deeper than that.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So um we really want to make sure we're not falling into this extreme individualism where it's like, you know, my opinion is the only one that matters.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I'm in this life to make myself happy.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And and I also talk about desires, and I feel like we should be able to get our desires or have our desires.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: But like I said last week, you know, healthy for the con for the good of all, but also for the good of yourself.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: So it can get a little bit confusing.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, this week we're just re-evaluating how you relate to yourself and to others, um, and then kind of uncovering hidden fears or just fears that you may have.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: And so when we are fearful of something, um, I know I often say this to my daughter, like she's like, you, you know, yelled at me, and you know, you just were like rude, and and I fully admit sometimes it's fear-based, or like when parents are yelling at their kids, or you know, it could it's a lot of times it is fear that makes you, you know, you're fearful for them, their well-being, their physical, you know, physical harm, all the things.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So um really identifying where you might have some fear and trying to face those fears and um come out on the other side stronger.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Um, so Monday and Tuesday are where this energy is really potent for like reaching out to somebody who's you know, maybe you need relationship repair with somebody, practicing radical non-judgment, non-judgment with yourself and with others, and then making new depend, making new connections, being open, trying new things.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Um, that could be really powerful for the energy this week.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So, um, and I want to mention Monday and Tuesday again, really important, and that's gonna set you up for the whole next 30 days of like the moon cycle in the universe.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I came across a poem that I would like to share on um with you guys, but first we're just gonna settle in um before I read it.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I want us to just arrive here.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Um, I want to do some, we'll do some box breathing for a little bit here.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: So um get yourself comfortable wherever you are.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Um you're gonna breathe in through your nose for four, hold that for four, breathe out through your mouth.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna say four to eight.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I like a longer exhale.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Um, so it's not exactly a box, and then hold for four and then repeat.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: So let's go ahead and just relax into your chair, lie down if you feel like it, soften your face, your jaw, you know, close your eyes if it's safe to do so, and then we're just gonna inhale for four, four, and then hold for four, and then exhale.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: I did eight, hold for four, one, two, three, four, inhale, four, one, two, three, four, five, four, four, one, two, three, four, exhale out of your mouth for eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: We'll do it again, hold for four here, and then breathe in silver eight.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: And then let's just do two cycles on our own.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So I am um referencing a poem titled Instructions Before Visiting Earth by James McCrae.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Um, this just I heard this this week and um maybe even just yesterday, and I did post it on some of my socials, but um, it's just a really beautiful poem, and it kind of reminds us that we are here for only a short time, and we should do our best to live um this human experience uh with our hearts open, with our arms open.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: And it's also, you know, this week a reminder that being social and including people and just um I'll just share a little story yesterday.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: So we had a storm last week, and a giant branch kind of fell from our tree.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It was hanging by a limb, but then yesterday morning it fell and it was standing straight up.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: And so my husband was out there kind of struggling with it.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Um, and our neighbor came over and his wife came over and just like everybody just started helping.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: He sought it the next thing I know, the neighbors up on the roof, you know, like clearing the brush.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: It was just like this beautiful community.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: And I went out there and I we have this um uh new foster dog that I've been uh taking care of.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: She's got a broken leg.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: And um, so I was kind of in the house and I came out and I said, Oh my gosh, you guys, I'm so sorry.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Nate, you should have told me I should be out here helping.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Thank you so much.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: And she's just like, that's what neighbors are for.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Like, this is what community is, and she's so right.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: And so like Nate went on to help uh another family just clear, you know, from the storm.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: And it was just a beautiful thing to be able to receive and try not to judge myself and try not to, you know, like I was like, oh my God, we should like get him dinner, you know, but it's just like no, we're just here for each other, and it's just it's beautiful.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: So here is the poem that I wanted to share with you, and uh it is called Instructions or I forgot the name of it here.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Instructions before visiting Earth.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, by James McCrae.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: In the event that you wake up and find your soul separated from source and manifest into material form, don't panic.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Your condition is only temporary.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: You have been selected for the opportunity of human incarnation.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: This 3D simulation is designed to break up the monotony of eternity by giving you a fully immersive experience as a distant ego identity, a distinct, sorry, ego identity.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Your body will serve as your physical avatar as you navigate a dense and dramatic reality.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: There will be many distractions causing you to forget your true nature and origin.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: You will experience a range of emotions from joy to loneliness to despair.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: But remember, no matter what trials and traumas you encounter, your soul remains perfectly safe.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: At times you may feel lost or afraid.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: This is totally normal.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: If you ever need guidance, simply slow down your busy mind and bring your awareness to the quiet place inside of yourself.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: On this planet, nothing is permanent.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: People and things will come and go.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: You will fall in love and form sentimental attachments, only to lose everything you hold dear.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: So cling to nothing too tightly, even yourself, and when it's time to let it go, let go with grace, for nothing is owned, only borrowed.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: As you walk among the people on the planet, try to be a good guest.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: Tread lightly, remember that you are only visiting.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Don't make a mess, listen more than you speak, give more than you take.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Don't keep your soft heart locked inside a glass cage, protected from wear and tear.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: You'll never make it out alive, and time passes quickly.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: So come back with some battle scars and good stories to tell.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So that is what I'm gonna leave you with today.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Sorry about the dog barking.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Um so my challenge for this week is to look inward and identify if there's some fears you've been living out.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Um sorry be non judgmental with one person who makes it hard and make a move towards connection.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Reach out, repair some things, show up.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: And always remember joy is your birthright, and you are not alone.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Thank you for tuning in.
