- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh good. I had.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I wouldn't have made it in for sure.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I had an uber driver that was from eastern Europe. Great.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We left New Orleans or whatever time my name was
- 1:30Speaker 2: Super European, Super Chatty, Oh boy Super.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It was at like one in the morning.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Uh huh, that's fine whatever. I could understand a little bit.
- 1:39Speaker 4: What were y'll chatting about?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Just his life?
- 1:42Speaker 4: His life?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I was selfish.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Yeah, he was just telling you his life story.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Yeah, how he ended up in the States and how
- 1:48Speaker 2: he ended up in Louisiana and manytimes. You think he's
- 1:50Speaker 2: gone over that story A bunch a bunch.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Probi every person that gets in his car a.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Bunch nice guy, super nice guy, I'm.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Sure, but like Surgey or something like that.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Very close to something, very close to that, because I remember,
- 2:03Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I was I'm gonna look it up.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I gotta look it up because it was too Europe.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Did he ever ask you about yourself? Yeah? He didn't.
- 2:14Speaker 2: He didn't really understand because he asked me after found
- 2:17Speaker 2: out what he did for a living, like what I did,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and he'd like he didn't really understand, Like, so he
- 2:20Speaker 2: talked sports into a microphone. This is a viable job opportunity.
- 2:27Speaker 4: What is it?
- 2:28Speaker 5: Is this real?
- 2:30Speaker 4: He's like, my country is always at war, So I
- 2:32Speaker 4: don't know. I don't know what country is from, but
- 2:36Speaker 4: Eastern Europe, Europe always has something going on.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Where was he from one of the ones that borders Ukraine?
- 2:43Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so he's right in it, yeah, Dolph.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Where was his position on it? Oh yeah, I think so.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I think where he landed? Yeah? Different? Yeah, I don't
- 3:01Speaker 2: know where to buy Romania and Ukraine shouts to shout
- 3:05Speaker 2: to uh, like I better made.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I bet it made the drive feel like no Tom did.
- 3:11Speaker 3: It helped got to put the headphones on. Brother, your
- 3:15Speaker 3: fads are in fo fought through the airpot right, ye.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Just two am in the car.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah tough.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Was he jacked?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah makes sense. Yeah, look like he was makes sense.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Yeah he was part of the organize organized crime situation probably,
- 3:41Speaker 2: but that's not real anymore. Twenty six. That's true. It's
- 3:45Speaker 2: all good unorganized crime. Yeah. So I just feel back
- 3:47Speaker 2: because we landed late anyways, but then there wasn't a
- 3:51Speaker 2: gate agent or something they like. We came out like
- 3:53Speaker 2: we got one gate agent in the in the airport
- 3:56Speaker 2: currently to be able to help us with the jet bridge.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And yeah, some rule point seventy six says that they
- 4:02Speaker 2: can only do one at a time and something or whatever.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I was like or whatever, it's already so late. It
- 4:07Speaker 2: doesn't really matter. I told you all. Kella Moore was
- 4:10Speaker 2: on our flight and he had all thirty seven of
- 4:12Speaker 2: his children shout out to him. He's part of the group.
- 4:15Speaker 2: They looked like they were pretty ready to get home. Yeah. There,
- 4:19Speaker 2: it's about that time, and I and I feel for that.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I could I could feel that pain. Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Any hiccup on travel with the children, yeah is uh,
- 4:30Speaker 3: it is highlighted.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It's like it's a hiccup on steroids. And to that point,
- 4:34Speaker 2: travel had been great because there was like twenty people
- 4:39Speaker 2: on this huge airplane. Yeah stretch.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Everybody had like their own row. It was great to
- 4:44Speaker 3: that point. And that one you are a little too
- 4:46Speaker 3: happy affair is that one gate agent. It was like
- 4:50Speaker 3: twelve forty five, so there couldn't have been that many planes.
- 4:53Speaker 2: There's three he told us three. Okay, I got it.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So there's three. Were third in line. They have to
- 4:58Speaker 2: clear one and two before were we made it? We
- 5:04Speaker 2: made it? You did man, Well, uh, kudos to you
- 5:07Speaker 2: for making it in this morning.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Certainly I don't know if I don't know if either
- 5:12Speaker 3: one of us would have decided to come in after
- 5:14Speaker 3: that kind of travel, but you did it.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That's why you're a fearless leader. Well, like I had
- 5:21Speaker 2: to redeem myself a lead from the front yesterday I
- 5:23Speaker 2: was getting we did, but you might have got it back.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I was getting slandered because.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Of your travel struggles and making it in today and
- 5:33Speaker 3: suffering through an hour long uber conversation. You might have
- 5:38Speaker 3: earned your title to fullback back instead of running back.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Thank you. Yeah, it's until. Yeah, I'm good. I'm good.
- 5:49Speaker 2: This coffee is going to do a lot of a
- 5:50Speaker 2: lot of wonders for me this morning.
- 5:52Speaker 3: All right, well, enough of this small talk. Tell us
- 5:58Speaker 3: about the owner's meeting. There's a lot to get to.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Me about something y'all did here that was going to
- 6:04Speaker 2: get us all in trouble. I don't know, do we
- 6:06Speaker 2: do anything.
- 6:07Speaker 5: We didn't moon talk yesterday?
- 6:09Speaker 4: There was moon talk the parody pages maybe, but you
- 6:16Speaker 4: know the fake pages on Twitter that a news.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, their fans actually they listen, Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Listeners of the show love me. Oh yeah, you got
- 6:28Speaker 2: time to Yeah. So I saw somebody kept tagging me
- 6:31Speaker 2: and stuff and like I've missed something here, and I
- 6:34Speaker 2: was afraid to ask what I miss I was like,
- 6:36Speaker 2: they'll tell me tomorrow morning.
- 6:38Speaker 4: We were talking about them, okay, yeah, we decided to stop.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah all right, okay, yeah you got added Yeah because
- 6:48Speaker 2: well somebody you got.
- 6:50Speaker 5: You got added in it from Tyler Daegel shut out Tyler.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, all right. I didn't really know what it meant,
- 6:58Speaker 2: but I knew I meant something you.
- 6:59Speaker 5: Met tll Nope, nobody has Okay, all last.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Year in the break feels like there's a lot here.
- 7:06Speaker 2: All last year in the break, j GBT has met
- 7:10Speaker 2: owners owners meetings. Uh, very cool event, very cool. Now
- 7:16Speaker 2: this year there wasn't like a hot button topic on
- 7:19Speaker 2: the on the docket. Push was on there, so there
- 7:23Speaker 2: was nothing that was like earth shattering like on side
- 7:26Speaker 2: kick stuff that doesn't really matter because well no special
- 7:31Speaker 2: teams matter, you know me. But it was like, well,
- 7:34Speaker 2: you can on side kick anytime. Now It's like okay,
- 7:38Speaker 2: but I still got to tell them I'm on side
- 7:40Speaker 2: kicking because there's a new formation. So there's no surprise
- 7:43Speaker 2: on kicks. I think six percent success rate yep on
- 7:48Speaker 2: on side kicks last couple of years, so six percent
- 7:51Speaker 2: actually feel like that's hot. It was twenty three percent
- 7:54Speaker 2: when there was surprise on the side kicks. Well, of
- 7:55Speaker 2: course I do miss that part. I don't know. I
- 8:00Speaker 2: just tuned out.
- 8:01Speaker 3: During the kickoff and for the most part I think
- 8:05Speaker 3: it's I don't know, it just doesn't ad anything to
- 8:06Speaker 3: the game.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's just you might let's just start him on the
- 8:08Speaker 2: twenty five. Every time learned a little bit better now
- 8:11Speaker 2: that they make they kind of make them return it.
- 8:13Speaker 2: But yeah, so well, the good part about their not
- 8:16Speaker 2: being a lot there and having to talk about that,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and we couldn't talk about the officials. Of course, they
- 8:20Speaker 2: were kind of like the NFL is pretty like, hey, no,
- 8:23Speaker 2: but you know the potential they're being replaced in refs.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You do it now? Oh yeah, we can talk about
- 8:28Speaker 2: it all we want. We talked about it on air.
- 8:30Speaker 2: We shouldn't ask a coach, our GM or president or
- 8:33Speaker 2: an own or whatever. But because there wasn't that, it
- 8:38Speaker 2: was good because we got a chance really just to
- 8:39Speaker 2: ask the coaches about their their roster and like their
- 8:43Speaker 2: players and free agents and draft and so it was.
- 8:47Speaker 2: It was good. It was good. We caught up a
- 8:49Speaker 2: lot of different people, a lot of head coaches, a
- 8:51Speaker 2: lot of gms. Matt Ryan, who's our draft class and
- 8:56Speaker 2: now is the president of an NFL team. They made
- 9:00Speaker 2: that position for him, didn't they? Yeah? What what what
- 9:03Speaker 2: is he he's president of football? I think he's president
- 9:06Speaker 2: of football operations? Yeah for him? Yeah? Did you call
- 9:09Speaker 2: him mister president? I gave him some hell for it, Okay,
- 9:12Speaker 2: I did, I did, for sure. Did. I saw a
- 9:15Speaker 2: lot of people that remember you and like you do
- 9:19Speaker 2: what with who? But who? That guy Mike? Mike did
- 9:22Speaker 2: make some comment about he does it every day in
- 9:26Speaker 2: the morning.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they knew I was in the
- 9:29Speaker 3: morning person up in Green Bay. How is old mister
- 9:33Speaker 3: Mike McCarthy doing.
- 9:35Speaker 2: He's good. He was good, you could tell. And so
- 9:38Speaker 2: having conversations with you and and and you know Scott
- 9:41Speaker 2: Tolzy that know him very well. I told him. I
- 9:43Speaker 2: was like, man, they talk about how much you love
- 9:45Speaker 2: Pittsburgh and how proud you are from being from there,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and you can tell like he appreciated that. And uh,
- 9:50Speaker 2: he went into some of y'all's times, you know in
- 9:53Speaker 2: Green Bay and and y'all's teams and but more just
- 9:56Speaker 2: how excited he was. And uh, my co host asked
- 10:00Speaker 2: about Aaron and now he didn't say him by name,
- 10:03Speaker 2: but you know, he found a way to and it
- 10:06Speaker 2: does sound like Aaron's coming back. So how so he
- 10:10Speaker 2: didn't say him by name. He's like, you got a quarterback,
- 10:13Speaker 2: you got pretty far familiar with that. It's pretty familiar
- 10:15Speaker 2: with the place you're coaching now. And you know, he
- 10:18Speaker 2: kind of did it that way, and he said, he's like, no,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I'm in I'm in constant communication with him. We talked,
- 10:23Speaker 2: we talk every week. Yeah, I think a great relationship.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah, right, I'm sure they've been in contact for since
- 10:29Speaker 3: they split in Green Bay. Yeah, uh, but yeah, I
- 10:34Speaker 3: know the reports of I read a report I think
- 10:37Speaker 3: two days ago about Aaron Rodgers if he's coming back
- 10:40Speaker 3: or not, and like something that he wanted thirty million
- 10:45Speaker 3: or something to come back because I think he played
- 10:46Speaker 3: what do he played for last year?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Thirteen million dollar contract something like that.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Which is like obviously far below what a starting quarterback makes,
- 10:54Speaker 3: and even thirty million dollars is still far below what
- 10:58Speaker 3: the average quarterback makes.
- 10:59Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Hopefully they can get it worked out. That'd be fun
- 11:02Speaker 3: to see those two back together.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Now.
- 11:08Speaker 3: The only thing you can think of is like, man,
- 11:09Speaker 3: I'd hate for him to get back together and it
- 11:11Speaker 3: not work. It kind of like tarnishes the memory that
- 11:13Speaker 3: they had to when they were together in Green Bay.
- 11:16Speaker 3: But that's the only thing you can think of. But
- 11:18Speaker 3: I don't think either one of them really.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Care about that, Like yeah, it's just like no, we're
- 11:22Speaker 2: it's gonna get back together. The division really hitting reset
- 11:26Speaker 2: to the new coaches with the Ravens, Steelers and Browns
- 11:31Speaker 2: say he did in the division.
- 11:35Speaker 3: And the Steelers gut was Michael Pittman, right, Yeah, and
- 11:39Speaker 3: so they got they got Pittman, they got DK I
- 11:41Speaker 3: mean they Rico.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Dell as well, which I think is I mean because
- 11:46Speaker 2: Mike had him in Dallas. Yeah, I'd like to run
- 11:48Speaker 2: that back with Rogers. Yeah, they got a pretty good opportunity.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Speaking of Cleveland, So I don't I think most LSU
- 11:57Speaker 2: fans will remember this. So Todd Mounkin was on the
- 12:00Speaker 2: staff and five and six here, he's a receivers coach.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I had a great conversation with him. They had like
- 12:07Speaker 2: this little Monday night thing for all everybody that's there,
- 12:11Speaker 2: like this big party outside, you know, great food, music, whatever.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But I had a great conversation with him, telling old
- 12:18Speaker 2: stories about LSU players. We talked Debo and Buster Davis
- 12:21Speaker 2: and just you know all these guys and we talked,
- 12:23Speaker 2: you know, told him that you and I were doing
- 12:24Speaker 2: the show together. So it was a good catching up
- 12:27Speaker 2: with him. But I say, coach, like you weren't in
- 12:29Speaker 2: the picture, like you know, the picture that everybody has
- 12:34Speaker 2: to be a part of, and like kind of is
- 12:35Speaker 2: like the biggest deal of owners and meetings now because
- 12:37Speaker 2: people like to have fun and break it down. He
- 12:40Speaker 2: was like, yeah, because it was on the schedule for
- 12:42Speaker 2: this time. I just got back from Vegas. Me and
- 12:45Speaker 2: my wife were there on vacation. Before we came here,
- 12:47Speaker 2: my hair looked a mess. So for the picture, I
- 12:50Speaker 2: want to go get a haircut right up the road.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Because they said the picture was going to be at noon,
- 12:55Speaker 2: this is at eleven thirty. They decided to go early.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So I missed the first picture. I had an opportunity
- 13:01Speaker 2: to be in. He goes hope. I last year number two,
- 13:05Speaker 2: get it. So he missed the team picture. He's not
- 13:08Speaker 2: in this photo. Come on, monk, because he was getting
- 13:11Speaker 2: a haircut for the team picture.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We said yesterday that this picture looks like an advertisement
- 13:16Speaker 3: for untuck it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Holy Blue Shape Shape. Oh my gosh, I didn't. So
- 13:24Speaker 2: this is the first time I'm really even seeing it.
- 13:25Speaker 2: He just he told me that that he missed it.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Plastic Andy Reid with this Waiian shirt. Yeah, good for you.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I mean, never changed. Put the dumbbells down, Mike McDonald.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I mean like this guy's trying to look like he's swollen.
- 13:40Speaker 3: But yeah, like you need another shirt to kind of
- 13:42Speaker 3: get your belly poppy.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, they had they still the shirts on Instagram. T
- 13:45Speaker 2: bobbysed to always get hooked in on it looks like.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Down before in his life until this moment awkward.
- 13:53Speaker 2: He rave too. They both kind of have the same stance.
- 13:58Speaker 2: You Know who I really really liked was Liam Cohen.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Yeah, he was like he's not cool, but like he kind.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Of in person though, like when you talk with him
- 14:11Speaker 2: kind of it. Yeah, he's got a great it kind
- 14:14Speaker 2: of it kind of shades. He had a d Oar
- 14:17Speaker 2: shirt that he had Okay, okay, Leo. He had a
- 14:20Speaker 2: little bit juice to him, so I I enjoyed our
- 14:24Speaker 2: conversation with him.
- 14:26Speaker 5: I do like the McDonald's shirt too, just the just
- 14:28Speaker 5: the Navy T shirt, big deal.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, he's uh, he's he's fun to have a conversation with.
- 14:34Speaker 2: He he's a Georgia guy, went to Georgia coach under
- 14:40Speaker 2: Kirby when he first got out of school. He's younger
- 14:42Speaker 2: than us. There's too many people in this photo that
- 14:44Speaker 2: are younger than us.
- 14:45Speaker 3: But I got a question, now, was there any bad
- 14:50Speaker 3: energy or did you notice between this guy and this guy?
- 14:56Speaker 3: If you remember after the Packers, Floyd the Bears, Ben Johnson,
- 15:01Speaker 3: mattl Floor had this really awkward hands the Bears beat
- 15:04Speaker 3: the Packers and like really awkward handshake, and it was like, Wow,
- 15:09Speaker 3: didn't really know there was beef there. But apparently Ben
- 15:12Speaker 3: Johnson just wants all the smoke from everybody in his division.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So I'll say this, Ben Johnson is that guy all
- 15:20Speaker 2: the time, super intense or super super intense and like,
- 15:27Speaker 2: I mean, look at his face. Yeah, I don't know
- 15:29Speaker 2: that you can get him looks like off of that
- 15:33Speaker 2: the tissue massage, you know. Yeah, every other coach shop
- 15:36Speaker 2: that we talked with had a different vibe, like all
- 15:40Speaker 2: of them. Now we didn't have Jim, we had John Harball,
- 15:42Speaker 2: we'd have Jim. Jim's a little different, but Jim's, you know,
- 15:46Speaker 2: great personality. So Lafloor, McVeigh, Shanahan like that whole coaching tree.
- 15:55Speaker 2: They hung together, Okay you know what I'm saying. Like
- 15:57Speaker 2: they like they were hanging out by the food together,
- 16:00Speaker 2: they were hanging out the party together. Clickie. Yeah, because
- 16:03Speaker 2: it's like high school, they've been together for multiple places.
- 16:06Speaker 2: They fall under the same coaching trees. They didn't want
- 16:09Speaker 2: else a small talk with Ben Johnson over here. I
- 16:13Speaker 2: think so one in the circle. I don't think mc
- 16:15Speaker 2: veay's in this picture either. I think there's only thirty
- 16:18Speaker 2: coaches in this because I don't see me. Well, they
- 16:20Speaker 2: need to do.
- 16:20Speaker 3: They need to stay on schedule. Yeah, coaches are always
- 16:24Speaker 3: getting mad at players for not being a schedule.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Well apparently they took this picture out of schedule.
- 16:28Speaker 2: They did. They took it about thirty minutes before it
- 16:31Speaker 2: was on the schedule.
- 16:31Speaker 3: There's one guy I don't recognize at all, Okay, point
- 16:34Speaker 3: to I mean, there's a couple of people that Joe
- 16:36Speaker 3: Brady was great. Every time he walked by me. He said,
- 16:38Speaker 3: go Tigers every time, Joe. There's a couple of guys
- 16:43Speaker 3: that I don't know if I can name you their name.
- 16:45Speaker 3: This guy here.
- 16:48Speaker 2: That is your head coach for the Miami Dolphins. Yes,
- 16:52Speaker 2: that was like Green Bay Packer, defensive coordinator, got it, athlete,
- 16:56Speaker 2: got it? Okay? Anybody else?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know him. This guy shouldn't be
- 17:04Speaker 3: a head coach.
- 17:05Speaker 2: But what do act? Taylor? No, no cubes this QBA? Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 2: oh yeah, that's right. Mhm. Jesse Minner, Jesse Minner. Okay,
- 17:19Speaker 2: that was the other Ravens Todd bulls him. That's Todd Bowles.
- 17:23Speaker 2: That does not look like Todd Bowles. Yeah, okay, he
- 17:27Speaker 2: was my coach for a couple of weeks as well.
- 17:29Speaker 2: That does not look like him.
- 17:31Speaker 5: The two he didn't recognize was one that was his
- 17:33Speaker 5: coach and the other one with the package.
- 17:38Speaker 2: That's pretty good though, that's all y'all. Gotta admit.
- 17:43Speaker 3: That does not look like I mean, looks a little
- 17:47Speaker 3: looks a little frumpy.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah he does.
- 17:50Speaker 5: He does look significantly fatter in that picture than I
- 17:52Speaker 5: thought he was.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Oh is that right there? That's that's a reporter for ESPN.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I think that is uh, look at the picture. I'll
- 18:06Speaker 2: give you a look at the picture. Okay, Yeah, I
- 18:11Speaker 2: don't know. It's Little Flora's brother. The Arizona Cardinals. I
- 18:20Speaker 2: did find out, okay, break, but I did find I
- 18:24Speaker 2: did find out. So like the GM's like head coaches,
- 18:27Speaker 2: some good the GMS, I knew, you know, twenty five
- 18:31Speaker 2: of them off the top of my head. There was
- 18:32Speaker 2: something I'm like, oh yeah, okay, so the Jets GM
- 18:37Speaker 2: Darren Moojie comes over. I'm having a conversation. I'm like, okay,
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's got what I cannot like, I can't place him.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm like, I know you. I don't know where from.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I know you somewhere in the league we crossed paths,
- 18:49Speaker 2: but I can't I can't place it, okay, And then
- 18:54Speaker 2: finally I asked him to say, hey, where were you? Like,
- 18:58Speaker 2: where were you before? He goes to it and he goes, yeah,
- 19:01Speaker 2: he goes, well, early, super early in my carew was
- 19:04Speaker 2: in Denver. I said, I'm pretty sure you cut me
- 19:07Speaker 2: in Denver. He was the groom. I'm sure you were
- 19:09Speaker 2: the turk. He goes, I was wondering when you were.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Gonna ask, so Jake fault him right there.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Oh, so we both started dying laughing on there. He goes, man,
- 19:21Speaker 2: I saw you over here, and like I confirmed. I
- 19:24Speaker 2: was like, oh, yeah, that's Tesser. He's like, that definitely
- 19:27Speaker 2: was a turk in twenty thirteen in Denver.
- 19:29Speaker 3: What do you call it? What do you call it
- 19:31Speaker 3: the turk? I don't know what that means. I don't
- 19:33Speaker 3: really know either, but that's what we always called him.
- 19:36Speaker 3: I never heard that one. We always just called it
- 19:37Speaker 3: the grim Reapert. Yeah yeah, And he started laughing. So
- 19:40Speaker 3: like he's like, I was nervous. I knew you're gonna
- 19:42Speaker 3: bring it up. I didn't know when I didn't know
- 19:43Speaker 3: how it's so fun. I was like, no, I said,
- 19:46Speaker 3: the only thing I'm mad about is I am old enough.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Where you were the guy that came around the locker room,
- 19:51Speaker 3: cut people and drove him to the airport, and now
- 19:53Speaker 3: you're a GM Yeah yeah, can you can you come
- 19:57Speaker 3: come to the offices, Uh bring your place book.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Mine was even worse. He called me at midnight because
- 20:04Speaker 2: I told Jos when von Miller got suspended, that came
- 20:07Speaker 2: down the wire. They they it was gonna get released
- 20:09Speaker 2: that next morning early. They knew. They found out right before,
- 20:13Speaker 2: woke me up at midnight to do it.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, Darren, I had a buddy that got Grim Reaper
- 20:22Speaker 3: came and got him in the packer locker room mid season.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I just beat him three games in around ping pong,
- 20:28Speaker 3: and they came and got him at the ping pong table.
- 20:30Speaker 3: I just spiked it right in his face too. Grim
- 20:33Speaker 3: Reaper knocks on the door. Yeah that afternoon veteran player. Yeah, okay,
- 20:38Speaker 3: so we got his year salary. Then he might have
- 20:42Speaker 3: been m might have been his third he got. He
- 20:47Speaker 3: ended up getting getting us four, but he wasn't there yet.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Yeah, my McCarthy was like, he's like that team was
- 20:56Speaker 2: really close. He's like sitting in Bakatiari and Flora Goo. Oh,
- 21:00Speaker 2: all those fools are going to Talladega here coming up.
- 21:03Speaker 2: He goes, you gotta be me. Yeah, he didn't. He
- 21:08Speaker 2: didn't just say he's ad it. Uh uh, Nope, somebody's
- 21:13Speaker 2: letting those guys on the loose. You should see his
- 21:16Speaker 2: face day. He's like, are you serious them? He's like
- 21:20Speaker 2: that correct, They're gonna let them in talented. It's so funny,
- 21:23Speaker 2: like the names. He went down and I was like,
- 21:24Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure all those guys are together. They get together.
- 21:28Speaker 2: All right, we gotta take a break. Uh more, OTB

- 24:29Speaker 2: All right, well, one of the things at owners meetings
- 24:31Speaker 2: that I think you'll appreciate, Matthew. So every coach that
- 24:35Speaker 2: came on, you know, we'd start the conversation with the
- 24:37Speaker 2: free agency, the roster, their draft bar blah blah blah,
- 24:41Speaker 2: and then we're like, all right, well because typically they
- 24:43Speaker 2: go from there to a Pro day or they just
- 24:45Speaker 2: came you know, that's and it's just like a stop
- 24:49Speaker 2: between pro days. And we were asking coaches like, all right,
- 24:53Speaker 2: how many Pro days you've been to, and like they'd
- 24:55Speaker 2: either hold up the zero or they just shake their
- 24:57Speaker 2: head like we're on air. You can say it, because
- 25:00Speaker 2: we're gonna say it. You're right. I mean, it was
- 25:03Speaker 2: shocking Liam Cohen hadn't been to a pro day. I
- 25:09Speaker 2: think Dan Quinn said he hadn't been to a Pro day.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I mean, it just go down the list.
- 25:15Speaker 3: How many coaches had gone to and again we're talking
- 25:18Speaker 3: you're talking head coaches, head coaches, which are usually just
- 25:22Speaker 3: they're gonna be reserved to go in and seeing like
- 25:24Speaker 3: maybe the top.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Guys at they're eyeballing. Yeah, And there was a GMS
- 25:28Speaker 2: that were like, nah, you know, we are a scouting department.
- 25:32Speaker 2: And to a man, they said something that I loved
- 25:37Speaker 2: they said we're getting back to trusting the tape and
- 25:39Speaker 2: not chasing things. I was like, oh, like it's supposed
- 25:43Speaker 2: to be.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so you're gonna draft them to play football,
- 25:46Speaker 3: so you're just gonna go to watching them play football instead. Yes,
- 25:49Speaker 3: And now now the numbers are the numbers, and they
- 25:52Speaker 3: probably need the numbers, get it. They'll get the data,
- 25:54Speaker 3: but they don't need to They don't need to go
- 25:57Speaker 3: necessarily with what they're saying is they don't need to
- 26:00Speaker 3: themselves have a guy go past the eyeball test make
- 26:04Speaker 3: sure the muscles are popping.
- 26:05Speaker 2: And they were like, look, the school's gonna set it
- 26:07Speaker 2: up and it's going to be a perfect script for them,
- 26:09Speaker 2: and you know it's it's not going to behoove us
- 26:11Speaker 2: to really be there and to and to see that.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Like he's like, even if we want to, like we
- 26:16Speaker 2: can get clips and you know, highlights from the pro day. Ye. Anyways,
- 26:21Speaker 2: but when they said like we're going back to trusting
- 26:23Speaker 2: the tape and the Seahawks, their head coach is like,
- 26:25Speaker 2: I'm not going to combine next year. Oh I'm not
- 26:28Speaker 2: going to combine. Like there's teams that don't do it.
- 26:30Speaker 2: And I understand why it's like that part too. He's
- 26:33Speaker 2: like if he said he said, if he said if
- 26:36Speaker 2: we like you, if we like you, we're gonna bring
- 26:40Speaker 2: you in on a thirty visit. He said, we're gonna
- 26:42Speaker 2: use every thirty visit that we have, And he said,
- 26:45Speaker 2: we've got a tier system of thirty visits for first
- 26:48Speaker 2: round or second rounders all the way down to u DFAs.
- 26:52Speaker 2: So it was interesting to hear everybody does like they
- 26:55Speaker 2: weren't the only team. They're like the Rams, the Jags. Nope,
- 26:59Speaker 2: it's like, stop going to these events, and almost almost
- 27:05Speaker 2: almost like they were saying that they don't want to,
- 27:07Speaker 2: like we always talk about chasing ghost things that aren't there.
- 27:10Speaker 2: They don't want to either get too excited because of
- 27:13Speaker 2: what they saw there or make their final verdict in
- 27:17Speaker 2: a guy based off something he's doing at a PADS.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, the the thought is sound, and it's
- 27:25Speaker 3: it's certainly a knee jerk reaction to the way it's
- 27:29Speaker 3: always been in the way that everybody is comfortable feeling
- 27:32Speaker 3: with the off season and the pre draft process because
- 27:35Speaker 3: the combines, the combine, like that's what you look forward to,
- 27:39Speaker 3: that's what that's the end all be all of in
- 27:43Speaker 3: like invitations you can get as a college athlete before
- 27:46Speaker 3: you go to the NFL. So to hear a head
- 27:51Speaker 3: coach for one of the thirty two teams that these
- 27:54Speaker 3: kids are going for a super Bowl champions team the
- 27:56Speaker 3: super Bowl channel, like, I'm just not going to go.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I don't think it's well, I'm not I'm not putting
- 28:02Speaker 3: words in his mouth here, but like it feels like
- 28:05Speaker 3: he's saying it's not important to us to do that
- 28:09Speaker 3: because of going back to the tay, which is what
- 28:12Speaker 3: we're always like. I think every person immedia is like that,
- 28:15Speaker 3: like why is this guy falling so much? Why is
- 28:17Speaker 3: this guy jumping so much? But it's also there to
- 28:21Speaker 3: showcase guys that might not be on that invite list
- 28:26Speaker 3: that he's talking about, Like if we like you, we're
- 28:28Speaker 3: gonna invite you to come do a workout or we're
- 28:31Speaker 3: going But like, but they also do have the too,
- 28:35Speaker 3: they have their scouts and you have to.
- 28:39Speaker 2: One team president told us those guys get paid. He's like,
- 28:42Speaker 2: at some point in football it changed where their opinion
- 28:47Speaker 2: didn't carry as much weight, And he said, I don't
- 28:49Speaker 2: know why. He's like, we spend a lot of time
- 28:51Speaker 2: and effort putting together our scouting department, right, and they
- 28:54Speaker 2: do the work for like eight or nine months, and
- 28:56Speaker 2: it's all they do. And he said, all of a sudden,
- 28:58Speaker 2: people that haven't been doing it for eight or nine
- 29:00Speaker 2: months come in and take it over. He said, make
- 29:02Speaker 2: that make sense, right, and that that points to me.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I was like that, and I get a head coach
- 29:09Speaker 2: doesn't need to be doing that.
- 29:11Speaker 3: But if the GM, the GM, to your point, shouldn't
- 29:16Speaker 3: be taken over at the the last second and making decisions.
- 29:21Speaker 3: The GM should be out there going to the combine.
- 29:23Speaker 3: But what I'm saying, like it's a little slippery soap though,
- 29:25Speaker 3: when you have head coaches saying I'm not going to
- 29:28Speaker 3: do this or we are not going to do the
- 29:30Speaker 3: combine because the combine is there because it brings numbers,
- 29:36Speaker 3: It brings excitement and ultimately brings money to NFL network,
- 29:40Speaker 3: to ESPN, to everything.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Like that's why they do it.
- 29:44Speaker 3: That's why they don't like teams just don't hold their
- 29:46Speaker 3: own workouts and invite people because it brings money. Yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 3: So like if you bring some of that excitement away,
- 29:51Speaker 3: it loses the allure.
- 29:53Speaker 2: It loses the.
- 29:53Speaker 3: Grandeur of the combine because teams are not going, then
- 29:58Speaker 3: that's gonna go away, and then there's gonna guys that
- 30:00Speaker 3: don't get the opportunity to go show. Because it does
- 30:03Speaker 3: help some people, right, it absolutely does help some people
- 30:06Speaker 3: highlight their I guess their.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Hope is probably that those numbers and those clips are
- 30:11Speaker 2: gonna get out there anyways, and them being there is
- 30:14Speaker 2: not going to take away from it. Maybe it does
- 30:15Speaker 2: to your point, right, I mean, even though it could
- 30:19Speaker 2: be Slipper was asleep during the combine, right, I got it.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Head coach is still I mean head coaches.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I mean unless the head coaches acting like a GM
- 30:31Speaker 3: position has a lot of say kind of like a
- 30:33Speaker 3: Belichick Dady of Elichick's famous for being there with binoculars
- 30:38Speaker 3: and popcorn and all the good all the good stuff.
- 30:40Speaker 2: I just found it interesting, and that's very I do
- 30:43Speaker 2: like to part like where they are going back to
- 30:45Speaker 2: the tape, like at the end of the day, that
- 30:48Speaker 2: should be the most important thing, and then the other
- 30:50Speaker 2: stuff should fill in the gaps. The other stuff should
- 30:53Speaker 2: be they can't fill in the gaps if you're not there.
- 30:57Speaker 2: We still get the numbers though, and then for them,
- 31:01Speaker 2: Like they even like the Senior Bowl because they can
- 31:03Speaker 2: have those meetings that we're thinking about too. You know
- 31:04Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Those guys just like to get together, drink whiskey and
- 31:07Speaker 3: eat steak. That's why I was a little bit surprised.
- 31:10Speaker 3: I was like, guys, I thought that was like bro tip,
- 31:12Speaker 3: I thought, that's what y'all do, Like, that's the reason
- 31:15Speaker 3: you go to these That's that's.
- 31:16Speaker 2: What up all. So I don't know, maybe they hate fun.

- 33:57Speaker 2: All right, welcome backin o TV here love from raising
- 33:59Speaker 2: Kine Sho. So, I know I missed Moon Talk when
- 34:06Speaker 2: I walked in today there was Yeah, the Artemis two launch.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Was that shuttle? We're calling that rocket space rocket? I
- 34:14Speaker 2: mean yeah, it's a space structure that's a shuttle. Right, Yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 2: we got out. This is the live it does it
- 34:18Speaker 2: look like the one I've seen in Apollo thirteen. Yeah,
- 34:21Speaker 2: so I was hoping I was hoping that this would launch.
- 34:24Speaker 5: It's not landing, it's just orbiting, so it's probably it's
- 34:27Speaker 5: pretty different.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Yeah all right, So I was hoping this was launch
- 34:31Speaker 3: during the show today. But as you can see, team
- 34:32Speaker 3: minus nine hours forty three minutes at six thirty three
- 34:36Speaker 3: this morning Central time, they gave the go. There's a
- 34:40Speaker 3: lot of different like countdown situations. What happened for the
- 34:44Speaker 3: artimists two?
- 34:45Speaker 5: You said you gave the go to start loading before
- 34:48Speaker 5: the show. Yeah, sitting there for ten hours?
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 34:51Speaker 3: So launch team decides go or no go at ten
- 34:55Speaker 3: hours fifty minutes. This is this is NASA, okay, So yeah,
- 34:59Speaker 3: there the moon situation. They're orbiting the moon.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Amazon situation.
- 35:04Speaker 3: So they're going around the Moon, okay, and they're testing
- 35:08Speaker 3: a lot of their emergency response systems to hopefully get
- 35:11Speaker 3: back landed on the Moon in twenty twenty eight. And
- 35:14Speaker 3: this is the first space travel into high space since
- 35:19Speaker 3: nineteen seventy three. I believe I read we read yesterday.
- 35:22Speaker 2: Question YEP in the year of our lowerd twenty twenty six.
- 35:27Speaker 2: And if we landed on the moon fifty plus years ago,
- 35:31Speaker 2: we can't just be like we're gonna go land on
- 35:33Speaker 2: the Moon. You must not have been listening to the show,
- 35:35Speaker 2: that's my question exact. Well, well, we decided that we
- 35:39Speaker 2: didn't land on the Moon. Yeah, that's why I got
- 35:43Speaker 2: tagged on social media tagged Oh no, no, not that, no,
- 35:48Speaker 2: not that. I forgot to ask about that during the break,
- 35:50Speaker 2: And I'm saying, like I got tagged about moon talk. Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Well there was a couple of things we discovered
- 35:59Speaker 3: that meteors hit the Moon. Why there's craters going forty
- 36:03Speaker 3: five thousand miles an hour at least.
- 36:05Speaker 2: One and sixty pound sixty thousand miles an hour.
- 36:09Speaker 3: And we were wondering, like how in space where there's
- 36:11Speaker 3: like you know, no gravity or anything, like, how things
- 36:14Speaker 3: are moving that fast but there's gravitational pools. Yeah, so
- 36:17Speaker 3: obviously it's coming towards the Earth. There's no atmosphere to
- 36:21Speaker 3: burn it up on the Moon, so it hits it.
- 36:23Speaker 2: And I was right. We looked it up yesterday. I
- 36:26Speaker 2: googled it. I was right. I got some weird looks,
- 36:28Speaker 2: some side eyes. Yesterday.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I was like, aren't we always seeing the same side
- 36:33Speaker 3: of the Earth or the same side of the Moon.
- 36:35Speaker 3: We've never seen like the backside of the moon and
- 36:37Speaker 3: it does orbit. I was right, Well, I always see
- 36:41Speaker 3: the thing.
- 36:41Speaker 5: It's kind of been brought up a lot, like the
- 36:43Speaker 5: whole dark side of the moon thing, like, I feel
- 36:45Speaker 5: like that's reference.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but yesterday you're like, no, dude, it spoons.
- 36:49Speaker 5: Yeah I remember, I remember that. I must have blacked
- 36:52Speaker 5: out at that point.
- 36:53Speaker 2: See. I need Michigan Troll to look a little bit
- 36:56Speaker 2: more like the movies. We'll see they got this is
- 36:58Speaker 2: like some cubicles and the people in there some storage stuff. Yeah,
- 37:04Speaker 2: they still got nine out. I need to look more
- 37:06Speaker 2: like the movies where everybody's got stadium seating and there's
- 37:08Speaker 2: one big screen, everybody sweating a little bit. It's like,
- 37:13Speaker 2: does ac notework in that room? There's just that much pressure.
- 37:17Speaker 2: So true.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Yeah, So we always see the same side of the
- 37:21Speaker 3: moon because the moon is tidally locked. Okay, it rotates
- 37:27Speaker 3: on its axis and the same amount of time it
- 37:29Speaker 3: takes the UH takes to orbit the Earth, so approximately
- 37:32Speaker 3: twenty seven point three days. I mean, it's rotational speed
- 37:36Speaker 3: matches it's orbital speed. So we always see just one
- 37:38Speaker 3: side of the moon. So brought up a question yesterday,
- 37:46Speaker 3: Let's see if you can answer this.
- 37:48Speaker 2: All I can. I'm just singing bad Moon Rising in
- 37:50Speaker 2: my head over there because.
- 37:52Speaker 3: I'm just and I guess we're not supposed to be
- 37:54Speaker 3: moontalk before eight am. I got it, but it did
- 37:59Speaker 3: bring some questions because meteorites hit it, which great craters
- 38:02Speaker 3: which we know the Earth is happeninged craters, right, we
- 38:04Speaker 3: see them. And I don't know enough about how things
- 38:09Speaker 3: move extremely high rates of speed forty five thousand to
- 38:13Speaker 3: one hundred and sixty thousand miles an hour in space.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It terrifying.
- 38:18Speaker 3: But I would assume that it involves gravitational pools. So
- 38:23Speaker 3: if meteors are getting pulled to the Earth, okay, right,
- 38:29Speaker 3: and they hit the Moon and we're always seeing the
- 38:33Speaker 3: same side of the Moon, it's always facing Earth, right,
- 38:36Speaker 3: how are their meteors on that side, the side that's
- 38:39Speaker 3: facing us?
- 38:39Speaker 5: You mean the craters?
- 38:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry, we talked about this, dude.
- 38:43Speaker 5: I think it's dense just on the backside.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it just hits the back craters afront.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Well, the craters I think are also like those lava
- 38:50Speaker 4: tubes or whatever that they were saying yesterday.
- 38:54Speaker 2: They're not just like from impact.
- 38:56Speaker 4: I feel like I read something.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Hold on, So, if meteors are coming towards her, scary
- 39:02Speaker 3: stuff out there, why did this particular mission interest you? Well,
- 39:13Speaker 3: because it's because it's big news first time in nineteen
- 39:17Speaker 3: seventy three. We're ordered in the moon pala But what
- 39:21Speaker 3: are we going to gain from it? Oh, we're gonna
- 39:23Speaker 3: set up we're going to set up a base there
- 39:24Speaker 3: and then we're gonna get to Mars.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Do you not want the human race to the bases later?
- 39:31Speaker 4: The bases later?
- 39:32Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but we got to start somewhere.
- 39:34Speaker 4: Right, So I think they're just testing right now.
- 39:38Speaker 3: We didn't decide like how you can build a base
- 39:40Speaker 3: on the moon though, and also survive meteors Pepper in
- 39:44Speaker 3: the moon at forty five thousand miles an hour.
- 39:46Speaker 2: No, we did you go?
- 39:47Speaker 4: You build it under the under the surface.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's right in the lava tude.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Yeah, you're right, not scary at all to be up there.
- 39:57Speaker 5: For what it's worth, the Matt, twenty five thousand people
- 39:59Speaker 5: are watching this, so it is kind of a big deal.
- 40:01Speaker 2: And that's just that one.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's and it's ten hours out.
- 40:05Speaker 2: It is a big deal. It's absolutely a big deal.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I didn't know why this one mission was maybe more
- 40:09Speaker 2: interesting to you than others.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Because something that the movie, well like I feel like they.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Send stuff to Mars, and I know you know, well
- 40:18Speaker 2: that's but this is man, right, this is a man.
- 40:21Speaker 2: So they're very disappointed in this. Yeah, it's like this
- 40:25Speaker 2: is this ain't gonna spice up? Yeah, right here, like
- 40:28Speaker 2: it's gonna look like a movie. I wanted to look
- 40:30Speaker 2: like a movie, like like glorious cabinet right here that
- 40:33Speaker 2: she got all the stuff on right now? Like that
- 40:35Speaker 2: does not look very movie.
- 40:36Speaker 5: Yeah, where's the where's the war room at?
- 40:41Speaker 2: Sorry about it? American flags? Four of them?
- 40:44Speaker 6: Uh?
- 40:44Speaker 2: There are? There is one Canadian going in the mission.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Which why did they get.
- 40:49Speaker 6: To go that?
- 40:51Speaker 2: Like Constellation for losing in the stuff got there and
- 40:56Speaker 2: pretty much everything sport Yeah, played against the US. Yeah,
- 41:01Speaker 2: it's an olive branch all right, now, feel educated? Thank you?
- 41:07Speaker 2: So are they landing on the Moon? Jake?
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yes, No, they're not landing, but later they're getting information.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I thought you meant like at the end of the.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Day they're going to land on Earth. They're not gonna right, But.
- 41:25Speaker 2: I thought your question was after they orbit collect the
- 41:29Speaker 2: data that they need, can we do it again or maybe?
- 41:34Speaker 3: But your question was absolutely sound. There is the technology
- 41:37Speaker 3: is there to land on the moon. Apparently because we've
- 41:40Speaker 3: done it right with your technology on the pocket calculator
- 41:45Speaker 3: in that rocket ship. Yes, the technology is better now.
- 41:48Speaker 3: You should just be able to go and land on it.
- 41:50Speaker 5: It should take you like an hour, should go up
- 41:52Speaker 5: there back. Yeah, it's a day trip, dude.
- 42:00Speaker 2: VERSI doro a hole on that thing. All right, we'll
- 42:06Speaker 2: be back more OTV brought to you by Hood Dental Care.

- 42:55Speaker 2: a highlight video. Maybe we need to play that a
- 42:57Speaker 2: little bit later on. I don't really want you to
- 42:58Speaker 2: treat me differently though in the show. It's hard not to.
- 43:02Speaker 2: It's hard not to, even though you know, we were
- 43:04Speaker 2: a little disappointed that you slept through our phone call
- 43:08Speaker 2: when we were supposed to get like a little update,
- 43:09Speaker 2: little hype set for you. Well, yeah, if you're not here,

- 43:22Speaker 3: for her night to get a nice little date night.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it was pretty good, pretty good. So yeah, did
- 43:29Speaker 2: you wait? I thought you were like in full training,
- 43:32Speaker 2: so like you didn't enjoy a cold pop? I had

- 43:49Speaker 2: not a big did you beat the OTB listener that
- 43:51Speaker 2: was actually going off at the same time as you?
- 43:55Speaker 2: So he I talked to him.
- 43:57Speaker 3: I talked to him more after, yeah, because we had
- 44:00Speaker 3: actually been talking to him on email too about some
- 44:02Speaker 3: some of my stuff. They got a business there they do, Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 3: they water water company and stuff and I think the
- 44:07Speaker 3: Baytown area. Yeah, awesome. People got to meet him and
- 44:11Speaker 3: his wife. They were in like a different event. They
- 44:13Speaker 3: were ten minutes or twenty minutes behind me. Okay, I say,
- 44:15Speaker 3: you're deflecting, So yeah, we did get a better time then,
- 44:17Speaker 3: but it was like, okay, it kind of like, wasn't
- 44:19Speaker 3: the same, gotcha the same kind of classification? There was
- 44:23Speaker 3: like so many different age groups and time variables and
- 44:26Speaker 3: things like that. Right home miserable? Oh now, actually it
- 44:29Speaker 3: wasn't terrible. I ended up driving just because I felt
- 44:32Speaker 3: like I had that post where got high? Like the
- 44:35Speaker 3: next two days were miserable. Yeah, but like afterwards it
- 44:38Speaker 3: wasn't It wasn't terrible. Got us a Darrel special too,
