- 0:00Speaker 1: Time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information
- 0:03Speaker 1: and Rich has live hacks. This first story in Stacks
- 0:07Speaker 1: of Information is based off of something Kyle told us
- 0:09Speaker 1: last week in three Things you Need to Know?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what is it?
- 0:11Speaker 3: Do you remember your hemorrhoids story? Yes? What was it?
- 0:14Speaker 4: It's if you sit on the toilet too long scrolling
- 0:17Speaker 4: through your phone, you have a forty six percent higher
- 0:20Speaker 4: chance of getting hemorrhoids.
- 0:21Speaker 1: You know what's funny is every time I've gone to
- 0:22Speaker 1: the bathroom since then, I think about your story.
- 0:24Speaker 2: You're only supposed to limit it to five ten minutes.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Time, and I try to get off my phone right away. Funny.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Anyway, this story, this website called thecut dot com did
- 0:31Speaker 1: an in depth article called everyone has hemorrhoids. Now young
- 0:36Speaker 1: people are dealing with them more and more, and there
- 0:38Speaker 1: are a few main reasons. We sit too much, we
- 0:41Speaker 1: don't get enough fiber, we're dehydrated, and we sit on.
- 0:45Speaker 3: The toilet too long.
- 0:46Speaker 5: Scrolling on our phones isn't that interesting, So more fiber
- 0:51Speaker 5: and we could go back to scrolling young people.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Young people have hemorrhoids. Unbelievable. Also, you guys, According to
- 0:59Speaker 1: New survey, fifty five percent of people with a partner
- 1:03Speaker 1: on a health journey. So that would be like, let's say,
- 1:04Speaker 1: like Blake and I I'm on a health journey. I'm
- 1:07Speaker 1: on a health journey for a while, fifty five percent
- 1:09Speaker 1: of people with a partner on a health journey joined
- 1:12Speaker 1: them without realizing it.
- 1:14Speaker 3: And that's Blake. Oh that's nice.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I became obsessed with the sauna, right, and the sauna
- 1:19Speaker 1: was for me. I'm been going this all the time,
- 1:21Speaker 1: and now it became part of her routine too. She's
- 1:23Speaker 1: doing the sauna too, and she never once like talked
- 1:25Speaker 1: about it and everybody out. She got to the point
- 1:27Speaker 1: where she's doing the sauna every single day. And I
- 1:28Speaker 1: see Kyle sometimes. I know your husband is a very
- 1:31Speaker 1: unique person with his food, but like all of sudden
- 1:33Speaker 1: you'll see him drink beer and pizza and then it
- 1:35Speaker 1: just you know, rice cakes or whatever.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Right, But I see you in here, So you have
- 1:38Speaker 3: you eating healthy? You doing really lots of healthy stuff
- 1:41Speaker 3: in the morn.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you, Yeah it did. He eats the same
- 1:45Speaker 2: thing every day.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Every day, every day.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Would you fall into the category of fifty five percent
- 1:50Speaker 1: of people join them without realizing it?
- 1:52Speaker 3: You're a little different.
- 1:53Speaker 2: No, I think we're we're a little different.
- 1:55Speaker 4: But I do think it is difficult to go on
- 1:57Speaker 4: a diet or like start eating a different way when
- 2:00Speaker 4: the other people in your house aren't eating that way.
- 2:02Speaker 4: So it does, I would think make it more successful
- 2:04Speaker 4: when people join you.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Word, the average person has borrowed three hundred dollars from
- 2:12Speaker 1: friends and family and still owes two hundred and thirty
- 2:16Speaker 1: seven dollars, and that can cause friction. More than seventy
- 2:20Speaker 1: percent of people say it's led to communication issues or
- 2:22Speaker 1: broken relationships.
- 2:24Speaker 3: I would agree with that. If you want it money,
- 2:25Speaker 3: you should never expect to see it again. Yeah, and like, yeah, well,
- 2:29Speaker 3: that's actually a really good point. Because they didn't have
- 2:32Speaker 3: it to begin with, they're not going to pay it back.
- 2:35Speaker 1: A CEO came up with three phrases that can instantly
- 2:40Speaker 1: kill your chances in a job interview. They don't want
- 2:44Speaker 1: to ever hear you say I want to start my
- 2:46Speaker 1: own business someday. They don't ever want to hear you
- 2:49Speaker 1: say I value work life balance.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And they don't ever want to hear you say I
- 2:58Speaker 1: was let go as part of my company's recent layoffs, which.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Doesn't make sense because they say, in fact.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I read the whole article on It's one of the
- 3:07Speaker 1: few articles I've read. I read the whole article. It
- 3:09Speaker 1: is because when if I remember, it's because if you're good,
- 3:13Speaker 1: no matter what, they're going to keep you. They're going
- 3:15Speaker 1: to keep you, no matter what. If you were let
- 3:17Speaker 1: go because of recent layoffs, whatever, you're part of that,
- 3:20Speaker 1: We're fine.
- 3:20Speaker 3: We don't need him any more.
- 3:23Speaker 2: They get that logic. But also, I don't know if
- 3:28Speaker 2: that's acting.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Remember this is just a CEO.
- 3:32Speaker 5: My brother does a bunch of hiring for like a
- 3:33Speaker 5: hospital system, and he said that they hired somebody they
- 3:36Speaker 5: talked to for the work life balance, but the opposite,
- 3:39Speaker 5: he's like, I was talking to a contestant whatever. So
- 3:43Speaker 5: he tried out for the job, and they said, I'm sorry,
- 3:45Speaker 5: I don't have much of a work life balance, Like
- 3:47Speaker 5: I probably should have changed my oil a long time ago,
- 3:50Speaker 5: but I'm too paranoid aby getting to work on time.
- 3:52Speaker 5: And he hired that person.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Just a simple get here on time. But they don't
- 4:01Speaker 3: do anything.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So just say the opposites of all those things.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Like so you talk about how you wish you had
- 4:06Speaker 5: a work life balance, but you don't because you're too
- 4:08Speaker 5: occupied with work things.
- 4:10Speaker 3: You probably get hired. What do you have for life hacks?
- 4:13Speaker 5: Oh well, this is a hack to remembering things. Okay,
- 4:15Speaker 5: so I was reading this. They say as soon as
- 4:17Speaker 5: you hit twenty five years old, you stop forgetting things
- 4:20Speaker 5: like people's names, stuff that you're supposed to remember that
- 4:24Speaker 5: should be on the top of your tongue, like who
- 4:26Speaker 5: sang that song? Like all that stuff you can forget
- 4:29Speaker 5: in a heartbeat. But there's a trick to remembering things
- 4:32Speaker 5: when that word is on the tip of your tongue.
- 4:34Speaker 5: We've all been there, right, but we can't think of
- 4:36Speaker 5: the word. It's so strange. I don't know if you
- 4:38Speaker 5: would necessarily want to do this in fun of people,
- 4:40Speaker 5: because they're going to think you're crazy person. But if
- 4:42Speaker 5: you're trying to remember it, studies show that if you
- 4:44Speaker 5: grab your left hand and your right hand and you
- 4:47Speaker 5: clench them for about five seconds, that word will come
- 4:51Speaker 5: to the back of your mind into the top of
- 4:54Speaker 5: your tongue.
- 4:54Speaker 3: So you can remember it.
- 4:55Speaker 5: So, if you want to retrieve memories, clench your left
- 4:58Speaker 5: fist and your right fist for a about three or
- 5:00Speaker 5: four seconds. It should come back to you. Let us
- 5:02Speaker 5: know how that works. That hack up at John jaynrich
- 5:04Speaker 5: dot com.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I can't wait to track because I'm doing that all
- 5:06Speaker 1: the time. Now, I'm forgetting so many so and it
- 5:09Speaker 1: happens in here all the times. Next time we do it,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you guys, go clinch.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Are right now?
- 5:11Speaker 1: I wonder you got to it within five minutes, so
- 5:13Speaker 1: you said it, but five seconds, within five seconds of
- 5:15Speaker 1: you forgetting?
- 5:16Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I just want you trying to remember it.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Just take five seconds and clinch. Okay, but it's not
- 5:19Speaker 5: like you have a I forgot what I was gonna say.
- 5:21Speaker 5: You've got a five second window to do this.
- 5:24Speaker 3: No, it should come to you in five seconds. Just okay.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But if I forget and then and then I remember
- 5:28Speaker 1: to clinch an hour later, I'll remember.
- 5:31Speaker 3: I don't know about that, but sure, why not. Probably
- 5:34Speaker 3: let's try it. I'm afraid I'll clinch and all of
- 5:36Speaker 3: a sudden my hamwords come back. Oh my gosh, Fiber
- 5:41Speaker 3: you I don't mean to stay
