- Jacob Bunce: Alright, welcome back to Fader Follow. appreciate y'all tuning in. We got Grant Bunce here. And we're gonna do a little recap, packed jam episode. Jacked Pam. I think it it was the other way around. Jam packed. There we go. Yeah. I knew we'd get there. we got a pam jacked. I'm kidding. Jack pamed, kidding. Jam Fade or Follow: You got it. Take two. Jacob Bunce: packed. agenda for y'all. We're gonna do a quick little recap of Sunday. and then Monday night football as well. and then Sunday night, fuck the Cowboys. I'll just kind of preface that. we're fifteen three and one, and two of those losses are from Cowboys Money Line bets. So they are banned for further notice until next Monday when I think it's literally the Cowboys and the Eagles. And I bet you we'll probably take Cowboys again. So third time's a charm. Fade or Follow: And Tanner McKee is gonna find a way to fuck us. Watch. It's gonna be sick. Jacob Bunce: And yeah, so can't wait for that. and then we will do picks for Thursday night, and then we're also gonna do our college picks today too. So jam-packed episode. Grant, why don't you go ahead and well actually we're gonna ski we already did the college recap for our last episode. Fade or Follow: Yes. Jacob Bunce: So for the sides, real quick, as you if you recalled or if you tuned into our last episode, it was a very, very, very, very sus day of gambling. And what I mean by that is we had the Jets plus seven and a half, which won on that drive with a last minute field goal to get us right in the cover, which was awesome. Fade or Follow: of Jacob Bunce: We had the Browns plus three, which I I mean, Grant and I were texting at the b dead in the water. Fade or Follow: Was that what I literally, I literally hedged out of the bet like in the first like hedge out of my part of the bed. The first half it was really bad. was like, the Ravens looked so good. And I was just like, I hate Deshaun Watson already. So I'm like, I'm just fading myself out of this bet. And Browns should have held the faith and Browns pulled it out. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, that that shit was was unfucking believable. which is kinda like the Commander's game, which we'll get to in a bit. so that was two and and then we Saints Moneyline, which we almost had flashbacks of J J McCarthy fucking us in the ass again on a comeback from his days at Michigan. Fade or Follow: my dude, dude, he had that that would have killed me. I like they were down eight going down the field and I literally put like Jacob Bunce: Driving. Yeah. Fade or Follow: they were driving he had literally put $10 on me Giants money line at plus like 800 because I was like, I'm not letting him do this to me again because he was cooking in that fourth quarter. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. What's crazy too, 'cause he he had two hundred and forty three yards or something like that, but he was eleven for twenty one with a pick and it's like just so crazy. Fade or Follow: And with a pick, yeah. Did they ever run the... Yeah, they must have... He must have... They must have not run a single time in their entire fourth quarter. Like, every play must have been a pass. Jacob Bunce: No. It was. It was. I think he scrambled a couple times. So it'll be interesting to see how he plays this weekend. Fade or Follow: Yep. Jacob Bunce: and then we had Chargers plus seven and a half, which like we've been wrong about the Chargers twice. It's it's funny. Fade or Follow: the Jacob Bunce: I mean, when we were recapping these games, we said it smells like three and one, and they had every chance to cover, and it's just so annoying. What was that thing you said before? Who said that, or what were you saying with the Fade or Follow: And yeah, so Nick Wright, yeah, Nick Wright, who is a very prominent commentator, I'm sure sports fans know him. He's pretty loud. He tweeted out after that game saying the Chiefs did absolutely everything to lose a dumb game on a random Sunday. But none of that matters when you're playing the L.A. Chargers and he hit it, hit the absolute nail on the head like the Chargers had every opportunity. Jacob Bunce: And it's like we didn't even need the Chargers to win. It's like, could you just cover seven and a half? Like the fuck? Fade or Follow: No. It was eight and a half. could, it was eight and a half. We had eight and a half points in our pocket and we couldn't even get, they couldn't even get that. They could have lost on more than a touchdown and they still couldn't get that right. It's, they are a poverty. Jacob Bunce: Well sorry for for those who follow our Twitter too, 'cause I think I put seven and a half. So my bad. Fade or Follow: Yeah, no. Jacob Bunce: regardless, they neither of them would have hit. so anyway, three and Fade or Follow: And Jacob Bunce: one though, but go ahead. Fade or Follow: the biggest, the Chargers sickening, but even more sickening than that was our Jacob Bunce: my god, yeah. Fade or Follow: teaser parlay that lost on the Eagles, but that one wasn't as bad. The most sickening play of the day, considering it was also our survivor pick, was the LA fucking Rams, who were, if you didn't know, 13 the line closed at 13 and a half on that game then and then in that game they did not allow a touchdown and They lost outright I Want someone to explain to me how that possibly happens ever in the history of football that is the biggest statistical anomaly I've ever heard in my entire life, and I don't that was so bad Jacob Bunce: It was so bad. And they missed they b they had two fourth and ones and they couldn't get a fucking yard either time. It's like I I Fade or Follow: Yeah, no, it was. Jacob Bunce: don't understand what the fuck is going on. You're playing the Cardinals, dude. And Fade or Follow: Yes. Jacob Bunce: yeah, like Grant said, we're we're in a thousand man Survivor League. So there was a hundred people left and now with that loss there's twenty two with and y you get a you get one life technically, so you can have one loss and still win. But now there's twenty two people that I guess no ball more than Grant and I right now out of a thousand. So Pissed off. Fade or Follow: We had, and Buntz said like, hey, I feel weird about the Rams. I don't think he thought in thousand years they would lose outright, I hadn't, I didn't, the Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I didn't think they'd lose. I just felt like strange. Fade or Follow: Cardinals were gonna cover, yeah, I get that. Jacob Bunce: When we were cooking the the parlay, I was like, I brought the Rams down to minus two and a half and I was like, Is this too much? And you're dude, yeah, it's the Rams And you're like, You're right, you're right, you're right. So it it was just a very I mean, that's football, it's the NFL, you know, the dogs have been barking, especially prime time. Fade or Follow: So, yes, that's... Yeah, they've been barking, this saying out loud that the Rams, regardless of who it is, a 13 and a half point favorite losing a game, not allowing a touchdown, doesn't sound like it should be possible. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: No. No, it does not. And neither did all the other people in our pool who picked them. So that was very, very, very, very annoying. And we've been pretty good at not picking the most common person, Fade or Follow: Yeah, the... And, yeah. Easy plays, yeah. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: but this was a strange week, so we ended up Fade or Follow: that I look back at that card and that I would have maybe we could have maybe gone the chiefs or something but we literally had a bet on the chargers so it's like we could have hedged ourselves I guess but like they're Jacob Bunce: No, well you have to remember like who who who are the teams you want later in the season. And the Chiefs are a team that I'd want to save later in the season. Fade or Follow: Yeah, there is I'm saying there. Yeah, there were that I'm just, yeah, exactly. And we, kind of were off too. Jacob Bunce: So it well, I don't wanna talk about it anymore. It's fucking I hate it. Like Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: we have another life or whatever, which is good. my Fade or Follow: We're gonna stay tight, yeah. Jacob Bunce: wife just walked in. Hi Katie. all right, so three and one on sides, and then we had our touchdown scores. We Damian Pierce. Yep. Fade or Follow: We had two touchdown scorers. had Damian Pierce, absolute sharp call by Jacob here. He literally texted me Saturday night. He's like, hey man, I think I got great value on Damian Pierce touchdown tomorrow. I'm like, bet, let's do it. And then, yeah, Jacob Bunce: Plus one fifty. Like, come on now. Fade or Follow: and it was great. Yeah, great value there, easy winner. Right up the, no Jaylen Hurts, no tush push. Sure enough, two yard touchdown run, Saquon. could only imagine what that would be like to get a gold line carry. And then we also had Drake London against our putrid bears secondary. He did cook again, but again, he can't score, he can't scheme to score touchdown, but he did have a two point, Jacob Bunce: And he dropped one. Fade or Follow: he did drop, he dropped a couple and he got, I'm sorry, he dropped one and he had one miss him. So really annoying. But then he also, but he. Just to add insult to injury, he caught a two point conversion, which effectively is a touchdown from two yards out. just, just to rub salt in the wound a little bit. So cut and shout out Kyle Pitts for two touchdowns. So really, really good stuff there. So. Was profit. were in Sunday was profit. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, so overall Sunday Sunday was good, like yeah, we were very, very profitable with Damian Pierce and then being three and one on sides. The money the parlay is the parlay, like it is what it is. And then Sunday night, I mean Fade or Follow: We had some bits of yeah, yeah Rams would have sold it anyway Jacob Bunce: we already kinda teased this. Yeah, Ran it doesn't matter. That was just failed from the get go. Sunday Fade or Follow: Yeah. Right. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: night football, we had Cowboys money line and then we you know C D had a shit game the week before, so we thought, okay, he's gonna come and score this game plus one ten. and then we also had a boost and Grant was really liking Kraft. so we added Kraft to the card and shocker, we went and three. So we gave we gave all of our money back. Kraft did get Fade or Follow: Yes. And then, no. Jacob Bunce: a a chance too. It was a two route Fade or Follow: He is right there. Jacob Bunce: a two yard out route and that was tough because that was a hundred to win like four fifty. Fade or Follow: That's that he that's how he can that's how 450. Yeah, that's how he cashed us against Tampa the other week if you recall, but it was on the other is on the near side. But yeah, no, it would have been so sick. And it's just I is one of those games that I feel like this happens. I don't know about if this happens to you is like, whenever you feel like a game is going to have a billion points and you start pressing a little bit, you're like you take an extra prop here, you take an extra touchdown score there, it ends up having 38. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, and it and it none of them hit. Fade or Follow: It ends up having 30 points and you're in shambles. it's like, you're like, okay. So that's kind of where that's kind of what happened. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: but going into. Jacob Bunce: I usually stay up for all the games too and and that one I texted Grant and I was like, I'm going to bed. I'm not watching this. I think I fell asleep on the couch. Fade or Follow: Yeah, we literally, yeah, after that, after that Sunday afternoon and into Sunday night, like piss me and bonds had to like, have like a team meeting like, hey, we're on the same, we had to like, had to like pat each other on the back like, hey, we're so annoyed. like, hey, we're good. Hey, I love you, dude. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: We're Like, it's like, it's so much piss after that. From three o'clock until 11pm Jacob Bunce: and then Fade or Follow: from three o'clock until 11pm Sunday, we were just in shambles. So Go ahead. No. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, it was it was no bueno. And then and then Monday night we nutted up and and picked the commanders plus seven and a half, which the public was actually more on the Niners, but then all the like betters that, you Fade or Follow: Twitter cappers. Jacob Bunce: know, Grant and I follow and like all the Twitter people and like all the quote unquote sports people were like picking the commanders and then 'cause of the underdog story and it's you know, twelve and or eleven and and twelve and against the spread and this, that, the other. So we didn't feel good about it. But we just had to ride with our gut. And then you know, Grant actually made that point originally. And I was like, dude, we just have to ride the commanders in this spot. So we rode the commanders first half. I I texted him. I was like, well, your read was absolutely right. And, you know, shame on me for for not, you know, backing it. This is horrible. The commanders are gonna lose by a thousand million points. And turns out the Niners, once Mike Evans got hurt. Didn't look that great. Purdy got, you know, in his head, which is a typical Purdy Brock Purdy thing to do. and they actually almost lost the game, which was hilarious. So another one Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: that we thought we were dead in the water, and here we go. So that was very satisfying to now take us to fifteen, three, and one. In prime time. In prime time. Fade or Follow: And yeah, absolutely. Three and one crazy. Yeah, no, absolutely. Yeah. And the Mike Evans got hurt in the middle of that game and so did Terry McLaurin. So I wonder if that game would have had more points if Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: the top two receiving options didn't go down. I still will say even though, Jacob Bunce: Probably. Fade or Follow: even though they covered that game, can you, do you remember when everyone was saying Jaden Daniels? better than Caleb Williams should have dragged, Jaden Daniels should have gone number one overall. Caleb should have gone like behind Bo Nix and now so Jaden Daniels has been, no, Jacob Bunce: Dude, he He's been making some bonehead calls, dude. Fade or Follow: he hasn't won a game in a year. He's been injured to be fair, but he has seven, Jacob Bunce: Yeah, he's and seven and one. Fade or Follow: in his last, So Jaden Daniels right now, for all the glazing that got done for him after that. NFC championship year, he has not been that good. So, and also, yeah, he's yeah, you know, yeah, he's regress, regress, it's regressing, it's regress, Jacob Bunce: He stinks. He stinks. He's digressing pretty bad. he can't hit a target. He always goes for glory. He doesn't like scan the field. Fade or Follow: regressing, not digressing, just for the Jacob Bunce: well whatever. You know what I mean. Nerd. Fade or Follow: Regressing. Regressing. But no, he is regressing pretty bad. After his rookie year, he has not been very good, to be honest. He's been injured or bad ever since the NFC Championship game. yeah. Jacob Bunce: Speaking of bad, let's get to Thursday night. bad as in another QB that shits the bet a lot, Drake May, even though Fade or Follow: Yes. Jacob Bunce: right now he actually looks pretty good. which scares me. This is Patriots Bears. it's in Soldier Field, Chicago. It's actually gonna be a nice day and night, so we're not gonna really have a big weather advantage. And even if it was shitty, I mean it's the Patriots. They're in New England, so you know, they're they're an outside team as well. Fade or Follow: They're used to it. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: three. Yeah, they're used to it. spread's three right now. We might buy down to two and a half. listen, I think if grant you don't mind, I'm gonna start this one. I think Fade or Follow: Yeah, please go for it. Jacob Bunce: All right, if we're if we're if we're going with what we've been doing all season so far, that is leaning towards the underdog. And the underdog in this game is the Patriots right now. They're plus three. Now, will that line move probably closer to plus two and a half, plus two, maybe even kind of closer to a pick'em towards the when the game starts? I I would think so, to be honest with you. I don't see it going further away. I think it's getting closer to that that kind of pick line. So anyway If we're going with what we've been doing for the season, it's it's like, okay, this is easy. Let's take the Patriots. the other argument is, you know, Drake May is Drake May, he looked like shit, but this kind of was him last year. He turned it on in the regular season, then he gets to the playoffs and he looks like a pumpkin, right? the Bears had a great game, they're riding high. you know, in this spot, prime time, like, are they gonna win? Who knows what's gonna happen? Is Caleb up for the task? so people are riding very high in the bears too. And then you have the public, which also is is kind of annoying in this situation where like everyone knows the trend now. Everybody knows the underdog trend now. And it's like eventually this has to change. This has to stop. Fade or Follow: favor. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: And this is I told Grant before the show started. I was like, I when I looked at the board, and I don't know if this is my actual gut or my heart or Brain or whatever, but I was like, I am leaning the bears because this is this is I can I can sense it and I can see the future. And it and if I'm wrong on this, like this would be such a funny clip, but I can see the future. I am laying right here on my couch. Got my dog next to me. Grant and I place money on the Patriots plus three, and the Bears just come out swinging. Drake May is throwing picks, sloppy. They maybe bring it in within a touchdown or two, but the Bears' offense is just electric, right? and that is what I really truly deep down believe is gonna happen if I pick the Patriots. Now you have, you know, Portnoy doing his thing with the Pats and they're going to the Super Bowl. I think everyone, honestly, right now, if you look at the board, funny enough, moneyline is all over the Bears, but if you look at the spread, it's about 50-50. So I think that line. We'll actually go closer to the Patriots when we get to the game, which might even make the the the Bears, you know, quote unquote an underdog grant, in terms of the sharp side with money, not just looking at Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: the line, but that was a long winded way of saying, Yes, we're taking the Bears in this spot, minus two and a half, we're gonna buy the extra half point. I don't wanna push and just see what the fuck happens. Anything to add? Fade or Follow: Yeah, nothing to add. Yeah, Jacob Bunce: That was like such a crazy long rant there, sorry. Fade or Follow: went all, yeah, no, I was following along. I was following you, I was with you, but it was stuff like, kinda hard to add to that. just think. I think, you said, this whole underdog, I just want to comment on that whole underdog thing. This feels like we're at a roulette table and it's like, everyone's like, all right, I'm going to bet red now because it's been black nine times in a row and it just keeps coming up black over and over. So it's like, but at the same time it's like the, thought the Niners were the, the Niners were going to be the spot that everyone jumped in. like, no, the Niners are going to beat this shitty commander's team and they're going to cover the seven and a half because the commander's suck. And. They the underdog still covered and I genuinely I think the Bears the way Caleb is playing right now The way the the Patriots are kind of in a sell-high spot like they've been taking care of business last several weeks Like you said Drake may started the season off really bad, but he's bounced back really well. He's been playing well and also the last time the Bears played the Patriots we lost 19 to 3 and Caleb got sacked nine times so Caleb has proven to Caleb has been proven to be a petty motherfucker. And also these two were in the same draft class. And I think Caleb still trying to prove himself like, I, I was the number one pick in this draft. I should be the number one guy and Drake people were still viewing kind of Drake may is like greater than for Caleb. So I think there's a lot of angles here that lean the bears. again, like Bon said, like as soon as we fade our, as soon as we fade the bears, we look like the Kansas city chiefs in 2024 and we just get, we look like spit. So I think, I think we just got to, like you said, just let, let, take the bears and take Jacob Bunce: Yeah. And honestly this is it's funny too for for Fade or Follow: the bears and just get on with and have, enjoy. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I will say, I mean the the Niners had every every right to to cover that game. I mean, another, Fade or Follow: Yeah, for sure. Jacob Bunce: you know, shout out to Source, Stu Feiner. He was on the Niners minus seven and a half, and obviously I think his primetime record is one under us. He's fourteen four and we're fifteen and three and one. so you know, like right now Fade or Follow: That's crazy. Wow. We're actually cracked in primetime. Jacob Bunce: it's going great. He's also a great gambler, especially primetime moments. So like That is just a situation where it could have gone either way, but the injuries Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: played its play and we came out victorious. So I'm not gonna apologize, but I agree. I think this is Fade or Follow: No, definitely no never apologize for winners Jacob Bunce: yeah, I think this is just the time to all right, Red A Roulette table is a good analogy. We've seen black 13 times. Let's fucking take red. So, you know, at home, Chicago, like give us the Bears. and then we might we might Do we'll probably do a first touchdown and then a prop play later on. Right now, we don't have anything. I mean, I'm looking at the board. Fade or Follow: Monon guys out. Monon guys out again. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I mean Swift is minus one sixty. I Fade or Follow: it gross. Jacob Bunce: look at two people right now and I hate both of them, but I feel like this is the game where one scores AJ Brown or Roma Dunze. It's like they have to get a touchdown eventually. Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. AJ Brown also played horrendous. AJ Brown played horrifically less. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, he had some bad drops. Fade or Follow: Yeah, and like that I think honestly, some of those drops are the only reason the Jets were able to keep that close for most of the game because there he missed like, I think he missed a fourth down drop, he had several drops on third down, where Drake may went to him. So I think AJ Brown is gonna bounce back in a big way. I think they won pretty comfortably. So it kind of got swept, but he played like shit last week. So I'm kind of nervous for the AJ. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, one of the two, I don't know. I feel like one of them are gonna get a touchdown. I don't know which one yet. but we'll figure it out. And as as I'm looking at the board too, like I don't know why, but Luther Burden is screaming at me for first touchdown. Fade or Follow: oooo Jacob Bunce: But we'll we'll we'll release we'll release our official picks. Yeah, follow Twitter and Fade or Follow: Follow the Twitter. Follow the Twitter. Jacob Bunce: and we'll and we'll and we'll drop there. So let's go ahead and transition to college football. We have five games. Let's start with LSU at Auburn. LSU's minus six and a half. Grant, go ahead. Fade or Follow: Yeah. So Auburn obviously coming off the massive upset of number one, Georgia, which shocked the world, shocked me and shocked me too. We, kind of gave a recap of our picks from last Saturday, four and one record. So we take, absolutely take those. so, but yeah, Auburn don't, we don't look backwards. You look forwards on this podcast, but anyway, LSU coming off an absolute thumping of Mississippi State without Camario Taylor Auburn coming off the massive upset win. Now LSU Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: is on the road laying a touchdown in Jackson hair. If you watch that, if you watch that Auburn Georgia game, Gunnar Stockton really played badly and Georgia was literally driving to win the game and he Gunnar Stockton fumbled and basically gave the game to Auburn. so I do in this spot, I do lean LSU minus the six and a half. here because obviously huge massive left down spot just emotion for Auburn. But also a lot of the advantages in this game really just point LSU's favor, especially offensively like Auburn's offense has not been that effective. LSU's defense is really impressive. get they are they have one of the highest sack rates without blitzing and Byron Brown holds the ball longer than almost any quarterback in the country. So I think LSU is going to able to get home with that pass rush without having to blitz. And I think just generally speaking, think LSU didn't really have to work that hard to beat Wynn last week, and Auburn had to give everything they had. So I think this is just a classic letdown spot with a motivated LSU. And LSU still needs every win they can get because they've had some bad losses to Kentucky and Ole Miss. So LSU's still coming for blood the rest of the season here versus Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: the rest of the SEC. So give us LSU on the points here. Still, and this game also doesn't matter. So Lane Kiffin loves winning games. that don't matter. yeah, give us LSU laying the number here. Jacob Bunce: Lane Kiffen is going to unbuckle the belt of Auburn, take Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: their little man jeans down and spake their bottom. It's going to be it is going to yeah. It is Fade or Follow: Yes, that's a high level analysis for you. Jacob Bunce: it is going to be Lane Kiffen slapping ass in in Auburn, dude. Yeah, like we we literally said there's not a lot of teams right now who look like the best in the country besides Georgia. So yeah, seeing them look kind of normal just kind of opens that window back up for the college football playoffs. I think it'll be very interesting this year. but you Fade or Follow: yeah. yeah. Jacob Bunce: know, that's obviously a little bit away. yeah, this is just an don't overthink it game. LSU minus six and a half. Now the next one is kind of a head scratcher because of the line. We have Olmus plus three and a half at Texas. Texas has just looked atrocious. And when I mean when I say Texas, Fade or Follow: back to back losses. Jacob Bunce: we all know who I'm talking about. I'm talking about Arch Manning. They they struggle with consistency. they're going three and out on I think thirty four percent of their possessions, which is the worst rate in the SEC. Not something you want to hear from the prodigy Manning. and they could be missing their their their rusher Colin Simmons too. So that's that's would be a huge blow. he is out. Okay. Fade or Follow: No, he's out. He's out. He's out for sure. Yeah, he's out for sure. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, so he's he's out and this is this is one of those and and Grant said a good before the show. It's like this is one of those games where it's like I am not going to to pay to see if Texas is good or not. I'm gonna pay to see if Olmus can get the job done essentially. Like I'm not gonna watch football and see Archmanning shit down his leg again and just look fucking stupid. Texas is four and two, olmus is five and one. You could say this is a a must win. for for both teams, Fade or Follow: It absolutely is. Jacob Bunce: but I think Ole Miss needs this just a little bit more. I think let's be honest, unless a a drastic change happens and Texas somehow blows out Ole Miss, like they're not a a a true championship contending team. So Fade or Follow: Yeah. Absolutely. yeah, and there's a there's a phrase that I don't say live by because it doesn't come up that often. But like when it comes to when I'm trying to put something to make a decision, like when I'm looking at it, stuff, like hope is not a strategy. And I feel like when I look at Texas right now, it's like you hope they hope they turn it around. You hope they're good. But that doesn't that Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: doesn't that doesn't mean that they're actually going to be good, if that makes any sense. So but with Trinidad, Chambliss and Ole Miss, you've seen them good. You know that they can be good. And with Texas, feel like he's nasty. So nasty. Jacob Bunce: Chambliss is is so good. Yeah, it's so fun to watch him play. Fade or Follow: Yeah, he's nasty. If he was just a little bit taller, he'd be the number one overall pick. So he's just a little short. no, it's, yeah, I just think like, so it's like, like I said, like you, like you alluded to, it's like, if I think Texas right now is wobbling right now, they're like, they're doing the They're a boxer in the ring just waiting to get knocked out. And I think Ole Miss right now with that loss to Florida, like you said, they are looking to compete. Jacob Bunce: Grant with the fucking analogies this week. Jesus. Boxer on the ring waiting to get knocked out. It's pretty good right there. Fade or Follow: So, yeah. Thank you, sir. Appreciate you. Yeah. I think, and I, so it's fragile operation right now, like the backup quarterback starting to get reps in practice. I like just bad, bad vibes in Texas right now. So Arkeesian's like getting ready to get fired and Colin Simmons literally is one of the best defensive players in the country. So I don't want that to get slapped on. Like him being out is absolutely massive Jacob Bunce: Huge. Fade or Follow: for it's huge for Texas. So the secondary for Texas obviously still very strong, but I getting over a field goal with Ole Miss here in a Texas team that has not proven the ability to blow anyone out and honestly to even win, like coming off back to back losses, I get it's like a by low spot on Texas right now, but I'm done hoping that they're going to turn it around. think this is like, I think Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I'm not doing it. Fade or Follow: I'm not playing that game with this. I'm just going to take the three and a half points in my pocket and watch Chambliss and watch Chambliss go to work. Cause I've also faded, been on the opposite side of fading Chambliss. this season and it is scary even in the Florida game where we were on Florida in that spot that Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: was that was scary he made it really dangerous at the end so yeah give us Chambliss in this spot and fuck Arch. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Yeah. all right, next we have Big Ten matchup, Indiana at Michigan. Indiana's minus seven. obviously big game against Ohio State last week. Ugly game. Hoover played like shit, Saiyan played like shit. that was honestly one of the most frustrating games that I I've watched in a long time. It gave me flashbacks to when they played Miami, except Saiyan actually played decently after throwing that pick six, but in this game he looked like absolute dog shit. He missed open throws, he was under throwing. I mean, it was it was just a a a a masterclass of what not to do. Hoover wasn't wasn't that great either. Obviously heartbreaking loss for Indiana. but honestly I think that was the universe giving Ohio State a break because that roughing the passer or whatever call was just a tr really, really, really bad. or or was it was it rough in the past or was it Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean that was it was it Fade or Follow: Yeah, that was rough in the past. The unnecessary roughness was in the Rams game. was ass. That was the... Yeah. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, that's right. You're right. Yeah. Both just terrible. So, you know, I don't feel bad at all. But anyway, so now we we're you know, we have Indiana going into Michigan. Is is is Hoover playing? Fade or Follow: Yes, he's he's banged up, but he should be I think he's playing. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: Okay. Yeah. The fact that he's playing and this line is still only at minus seven, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I do understand that Underwood isn't playing and people are pretty high on what's his face, the backup, what's his name again? Yeah, Tommy Carr. Fade or Follow: Tommy Carr, Tommy Carr, Tommy Carr. Jacob Bunce: Like, yeah, he had some good throws. It sounds like he has a rocket. Fade or Follow: Get some runs. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, some good runs. but I just like I don't see a world where everyone was glazing Indiana. Like they're gonna do it again. It's Kurt Signetti. They're you know, everyone everyone thought everyone was on Indiana in this game. Like I it was really hard to find a couple people on OSU except for Grant and I. for them to lose twice or for it just to be a close game, like I don't see that happening. I think Michigan gets routed by at least two touchdowns. I think this is a dummy line. Everyone's being like, Indiana's banged up, Michigan plus seven. Like, let's take the points. Like, fuck that. Like, I'm not doing it. Granted. Fade or Follow: Yeah. And Jacob Bunce: Granted, we are the worst at picking. Yeah, so you know, we lost we're and one in Michigan games this year, so hopefully this will get us to fifty percent. I don't know if you have anything to add. don't this game's kind of a whatever, but Fade or Follow: granted, granted it's a Michigan game. Yeah, it's a Michigan game. So yeah. Yeah. Yep. Exactly. No, this it's yeah, it's a no, I think signetti I'll keep it quick. I think signetti is going to signetti in this game and like lay that laid on Indiana has not been good at covering the number at all this year. But again, we talk about Jacob Bunce: Now they're one and six. Fade or Follow: Yeah, so I think I think this is a game where they try to get their they try to get their mojo back. They're probably pretty upset about losing the way they lost last week. think they come out and lay belt in this spot. And like you said, like everyone was on Indiana last week, everyone's going to be off from this week. And everyone's thinking, Michigan's got a shiny new toy on offense. Like they still don't have weapons. They still don't have very like they don't have much going on on offense, even if Tommy Carr comes in. I think. Yeah, I think you said like they made they made Ohio State's offense look very pedestrian last week. I think they'll be okay holding down this Michigan offense if you want to call it that. So yeah give us Indiana by Indiana by two touchdowns here. Jacob Bunce: all right, next game, South Carolina minus two versus Tennessee. grant you can yeah, well this is this is just a flashback to Old Miss in Florida, like let's be honest. Fade or Follow: This game's in mindfuck, Yeah, for sure. Yeah, so this game, this game actually opened. So this game actually opened with Tennessee as a favorite of two and a half and immediately before we even went to bed that night that the line dropped, got hammered to South Carolina being a favorite. So it's moved five points across zero, Jacob Bunce: Insane. Fade or Follow: across zero. Jacob Bunce: Insane. Fade or Follow: So really crazy line movement on this one. That's why we wanted to talk about it. Not because it's some crazy, interesting game, but just because Tennessee coming off that huge win against Alabama, and honestly, wasn't even as close as the score made it look. Alabama kind of just got thumped. Jacob Bunce: Yeah. Fade or Follow: And South Carolina has been absolute dog water most of this year. Like they have not won games that they're supposed to. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, it makes no sense. Fade or Follow: So South Carolina really shouldn't be favored in this game. we had the same thought with Florida and Ole Miss when they played a few weeks ago, like why is Florida favored in this game? Ole Miss is just coming off that massive. LSU win with the Lane Kiffin Bowl. So I think was a weird at this point. think we're just going to instead of trying to go against the grain on this one and taking Tennessee with the points, I think we you take SE minus two and a half, because if you going into that Saturday, like nobody thought that highly of Tennessee, like everyone thought like, OK, they're OK, but they haven't been like that impressive. They got a good defense, but like they're not like that. But now everyone's like the I think you just got to think back. a little bit a little bit backwards on Tennessee and be like, are they really that good? And defensively, you can say yes, but offensively, they're not they're not that they're not that special. And I think South Jacob Bunce: it's Tennessee, you know. Fade or Follow: and also it's like, yeah, it's like so like normally you think their offense is electric, but not this season. It hasn't been, especially with the quarterback shift. They got the they got McIntyre starting now over Faison Brandon, whose shoulders banged up. He also sucks when he was in there. So and he's still got sellers in a desperation. got sellers desperate. Shane Beamer is fighting for his life right now and I think they're gonna be in a a wounded animal mentality the rest of the year. So yeah, we're gonna follow the line movement and just take South Carolina with a two and a half year and sell high on Tennessee. Jacob Bunce: I have absolutely nothing to fucking add to that. So yeah. what Grant said, ditto. I will I will just I will just easily say and move on to the next game. That was like me and the Bears Pats one. Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: so I guess that was payback. All right, last but not least, we have the night game, ten fifteen Eastern, Houston, Utah. I don't have the line in front of me, but Fade or Follow: points. Jacob Bunce: we're actually going with the over at fifty-six and a half. I will say Fade or Follow: Yeah. Jacob Bunce: the only thing, the only thing that makes me the slightest bit nervous is that these are two of the most productive offenses in college football. Like Utah's averaging, I think, just over forty points per game, which Fade or Follow: Mm-hmm. Jacob Bunce: is eighth nationally. Houston is averaging thirty-nine, which is twelfth. So that's close to eighty points, seventy-nine, eighty points. And it's like, why is the line only at fifty six and a half? Like What am I not seeing? And it's even money. It's it's it's Fade or Follow: That's a great point. That's a good point. Jacob Bunce: minus one ten on each side. So I don't I don't know what Vegas knows that I don't know. But there's nothing Fade or Follow: Yeah, and also feel Jacob Bunce: better than rooting for points for the last game of the night. not Fade or Follow: Absolutely. Jacob Bunce: sweating aside, just hoping for a good old fashioned shootout. So that is that is what we're picking. Fade or Follow: Old-fashioned shootout shootout. Yep, absolutely and Yeah, absolutely. And I honestly, it's like, think you're right. The numbers there kind of do scream under a little bit. I'm not going to I'm not going to hold you, but you got Devon Danpere for Utah and you got Connor Wegman for Houston. Then Utah's like both defenses have proven to be vulnerable at times this season. Utah almost blew a game to Colorado last week and obviously, and Jacob Bunce: Uh-huh. Fade or Follow: Houston did the same thing with Oklahoma State. Obviously, Oklahoma State's offense is absolutely loaded. So granted, there's not no shame in giving up points to Oklahoma State. I just think. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, Colorado's terrible. Yeah, Colorado's horrendous. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, they they they they gave they they let Colorado score twenty four on It's like are are what the fuck? Yeah, they're ass. Fade or Follow: So I just think it's like, I'm just backing the two quarterbacks, kind of fading the two defenses here. don't know how, I just don't understand. I just don't see how away this game and both these teams are competitive. They're both ranked opponents. They're going for it. They're going to be going for it. And I think this is going to be an old fashioned late night, late night fashion, Jacob Bunce: You know what, I think I think I think Fade or Follow: late night shootout, late night. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, I th well I think you what this is, Grant. This is look at me, I'm so fucking sharp and and why is the line here and blah blah blah. Let's take let's yeah, let's take Fade or Follow: Yeah, it's fake sharp under, fake sharp under. Jacob Bunce: the under and then we just get fucking dick punched. So like yeah, Fade or Follow: 90 points later, yeah. Jacob Bunce: so you know what? Like I just that made me f double double negative back to being confident on the over. Like this is triple reverse, Uno card, brain buster, Vegas is trying to trick you, so don't fall for it. Fade or Follow: Yeah, triple, triple, triple reverse fade back to the over. If back to the old. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: so as a recap, we got Bears minus two and a half for Thursday night football. and then likely AJ Brown or Dunsey to score touchdowns day and then Luther Burden for first touchdown. These aren't confirmed. This the the side is Bears minus two and a half, but the touchdowns just wait till we tweet. for college, we have LSU minus six and a half, old miss plus three and a half, the over in the Houston, Utah game fifty six and a half, Indiana minus seven. And South Carolina minus two and a half. And then Grant, why don't you take him through the rest of the card? Fade or Follow: So we have a money line parlay, BYU money line, Alabama money line, and Texas Tech money line. love all, I would take almost all those teams on the spread as well, but we're just gonna parlay them together and get a little, might be a little under, might be a little bit under even money, might be like 130 on the implied odds there. I love Miami minus 20 and a half. Pittsburgh's quarterback is horrendous. And Miami is gonna to come out and try to get this game over with early after a really sweaty game versus Florida State last week. SMU, TTO, they got Cal coming into town across the country to Dallas. SMU's offensive electric Cal's defense has been horrific the entire season. And I don't think this spot gets any easier for them. So I think SMU just lays belt and puts 40 up on him and just gets out of town. UCLA, Michigan State over. it is moved from 47 and a half to 55 and a half or 52 and a half, excuse me, I'm not, no, no, it is 55 and a half. I'm not gonna, that is eight points of line movement for the people not sitting with a calculator. I'm not fading that, that is eight, like, you you never see that much movement on a total. And then got Memphis Jacob Bunce: Mm-hmm. Fade or Follow: minus nine and a half. as well. So, and I think Memphis coming off a bad loss last week, where they really should have won the game. And I think they come back and get their revenge in this spot. So that is my little mini card of the little, little, side dishes on the rest of our main card, which I actually am really excited about. Like the, the, the SBC this year is actually insane. Like, like the, game matters now because like every team's fighting for those Jacob Bunce: Crazy. Fade or Follow: players. It's great. Like you got. teams like Kentucky and Tennessee and like, I got the you always got the main guys, but you got like, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, like you got the main guys still fighting for their lives. But the thing is, the top has the bottom has come up from the bottom, the top has come up from the, let me sorry, the bottom is coming up towards the middle and the top is coming down and it's just coming together in this giant clusterfuck of madness. I'm sorry, like, yeah, that was was a terrible but all I'm saying is, it's all Meeting towards the yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, no, no, but all I'm saying is this. Jacob Bunce: Okay, was a perfect it was a perfect shit sandwich where my opening was was bad and then you had a bad ending there, so it's all meant to be. Fade or Follow: You allude tying the circle back. You mentioned the CFP being a little bit away. The CFP is actually going to be insane like you know, like they're 12, 12 teams and nobody's really that much better than anyone else. So it's going to get really exciting. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, it'll be fun. Except and I don't I really don't want to get into this in this show. Maybe we talk about it on our recap, the the Fade or Follow: No, no, we don't have to. I just wanted to comment on- Jacob Bunce: twenty four. No, I was gonna say the the the moving to probably twenty four teams next year, which is just fucking stupid. Like it's too many teams and then, you know, Fade or Follow: the 24 point. Yeah, 2014. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Jacob Bunce: you said like what you said, you know, these games really matter and then they're just not gonna matter because all these good teams are just gonna make it. So it's like whatever. I think the tension will Fade or Follow: No. Yeah, exactly. got everyone. Yeah. Unless you... Jacob Bunce: remain, but we'll we'll dive deeper into to that too. It's like just a whole nother I don't really know a lot of people Fade or Follow: Yeah, absolutely. think the yeah. Jacob Bunce: that are on it or like are rooting for it. Fade or Follow: No, I think I think the the only argument that I've seen that makes me not hate it as much is just the fact that the schools are now paying all these players so much and the schools need the money to pay the NIL deals. So that's why they need more games and this that and the other doesn't make it any better of a decision. from. Yeah, Jacob Bunce: And then where does it end, you know? It's like Fade or Follow: exactly. Yeah, no, exactly. It doesn't. It doesn't feel good. like you said, like the thing is like it's great for teams like just like Ohio State and Georgia and Alabama. Like they're going to get an auto bid every year unless they lose four to five games. Like that's and that never. So it's like so it's it's going to they're going to. Yeah, I don't know how it's going to be structured, but just on its face, it just feels like a really, really bad idea that really kind of guts the sport at a certain level. So I don't know. So we'll see how we'll see how it all plays. Yeah absolutely. We got forty two men. Yeah we have read forty two minutes right now this is gone. Jacob Bunce: Yeah, we'll talk more about it on our next show. and obviously yeah, where it all plays out. forty two minutes, damn. Fade or Follow: This is an all time record.
