- 0:08And yes indeed welcome and welcome to
- 0:11the legendary podcast my name
- 0:14is david and i'm your legendary host of this legendary podcast the deconstruct
- 0:19the topic podcast and we got another beautiful good one once again as always
- 0:24we always got good ones oh let's go but anyways this one's going to be a little
- 0:29bit short on the short side of things and so on.
- 0:32And I just want to keep, I can say up to date on what's going on and so on.
- 0:37But I always also want to kind of reach out there to those people who are doing
- 0:42podcasts and content and investigative journalists and whatever it is that you're doing.
- 0:48You know, sometimes, you know, those things take a toe and those things,
- 0:52for those people that are thinking about doing like investigative journalism,
- 0:56I've been talking to someone who's doing the journalism thing and,
- 1:00you know, sometimes it takes a toll because sometimes what we do is and our
- 1:04job is, let's say, podcast content creating.
- 1:07Anytime that we have an information, we want to inform people.
- 1:09We want to educate people.
- 1:11Sometimes, you know, our information is based on, we're supposed to trust the
- 1:16source that we get the information from, basically. So it's one of those deals.
- 1:20And when we do our source, you know, again, we tend to say that,
- 1:24listen, we're going to trust our source.
- 1:26But sometimes there's those individuals out there that do the journalism and
- 1:30do the dirty work. And sometimes doing that dirty work, it takes a toll.
- 1:35It sucks you up. You know what I mean? And one of those things,
- 1:39hey, listen, and once again, feel free to share.
- 1:42Let's talk, comment, reach out to me, whatever the case might be.
- 1:46Let's talk about a little bit of it all. Because it's one of those things in my podcast.
- 1:51As this podcast, what we do, we deconstruct topics.
- 1:57But there are things out there and, you know, in the scope of things.
- 2:01And for those people that are familiar with the Epstein files or something to that effect.
- 2:07There's journalists out there, you know, such as the Whitney Webbs of the world,
- 2:11people out there that want to,
- 2:13let's say, do the dirty work and just point, you know, I'm not going to say
- 2:18point, but sometimes we kind of tie two loose ends.
- 2:23And one of the things that I've
- 2:25thought about is doing investigative journalism, going a little bit deep.
- 2:28And, you know, for the last couple of years and even the last year or so,
- 2:32I've dabbled a little bit of science, but it takes a soul on me.
- 2:36And one of the things and one of the reasons and inspiration to that effect,
- 2:41so the reason I'm doing this episode, just to give people a heads up that,
- 2:44you know, I'm going to be probably dropping some episodes that are a little
- 2:46bit on the darker side, if you will.
- 2:50And it needs to be touched. You know, it needs to be talked about because in
- 2:54the context of information, we just got to be out there and we just got to be wary,
- 2:59of who we can get close to, what organizations we belong to,
- 3:04you know, whether it's in the religious side and the, you know,
- 3:07I've come across these organizations,
- 3:10especially in our areas, these, these, what they call vitamin or supplement groups and so on.
- 3:15And those also are a little, a little bit deep out there.
- 3:18They kind of take advantage of many of the migrants that come to the United
- 3:22States, selling them something and taking them to somewhere or somehow, you know what I mean?
- 3:27And it's, you know, it's, it's always my thing. And again, I'm going to go back
- 3:32to one of my inspiration.
- 3:33A couple of years ago, I'm watching, uh, and I said a couple of years ago.
- 3:37I'm trying to think it was years ago. I don't know if it was like pre-COVID
- 3:40or during the time of COVID.
- 3:43It was a Netflix documentary, right? And I'm trying to search it.
- 3:48It's called Killer Ratings, right? And there's a show on, let's say,
- 3:55so supposedly the understanding is this, and this is interesting.
- 3:58So there's a show on Brazil where in this, it's a reality show.
- 4:03It has a little bit of it all, but it also reports news. and for
- 4:06some reason they the first one is called killer
- 4:09ratings it's a serious series yeah 2019 so
- 4:12i and i definitely saw this when they came out so basically
- 4:16you know they had cop chases you know they had oh you know breaking news somebody
- 4:21deleted or killed this uh drug dealers and so on and for some reason they were
- 4:26the first one uh to report it now i'm gonna you know spoil it because i don't
- 4:30know if the show still exists and there's a lot of things going on but the the
- 4:34understanding is that something crazy was happening.
- 4:37And to find out that the show, this show, and I believe the Wallace Sousa was
- 4:43kind of the head of the whole show.
- 4:45So this show, the show that was reporting these news, killing,
- 4:50deleting, drug rates and so on, were the one that were creating the crime. You understand?
- 4:57So for the purpose of that, for the purpose of ratings.
- 5:03So it's crazy how the place that's reporting the news is the place that's reporting the news.
- 5:09And allegedly, you know, the mastermind behind it, you know,
- 5:12there was people that went behind bars and this mastermind.
- 5:15So I always, for some reason, remember this.
- 5:19And one of the things that I, you know, because I don't want to kind of like
- 5:24discuss in these different avenues, where can I go? Where can I investigate? game.
- 5:30But I always remember years ago, again, pre-COVID, there was a football coach,
- 5:36Mike Tomlin, who at that time, back in 2018, they were doing a documentary on human trafficking.
- 5:42And Mike Tomlin took, and I believe there was a documentary that came out a
- 5:46couple of years ago in regards to that.
- 5:48And Mike Tomlin, as a matter of fact, at that time, Mike Tomlin came out and,
- 5:52you know, kind of basically said, you know, I can't believe how this is happening
- 5:56here in the United States and so on and so forth.
- 5:59I can't believe how really it's not no one that talks about it.
- 6:02And I always say, look, it's the powers that be that are the ones who are doing
- 6:06that thing that you are going against.
- 6:09That's why nobody really talks about it when it comes to the human trafficking.
- 6:13But one thing I've noticed is that even when it comes to human trafficking,
- 6:20even the people that's going after it could probably have a hand in being part of it.
- 6:26Whether directly or indirectly.
- 6:30And I've seen a couple of shows that have, hey, listen, it's always something.
- 6:35And for the purpose of what, again? Again, when this money's involved,
- 6:39like in the example with the killer ratings, sadly, there's a lot of victims
- 6:43in the middle and then a lot of things that happen. You know what I mean?
- 6:46So it's one of those deals that, hey, listen, if it happens,
- 6:49it happens, whatever the case might be, then who's part?
- 6:53So when you dabble in, you know, with this individual, the journalist who is
- 6:58trying to get, you know, their feet wet in regards to that situation as well,
- 7:02is that sadly, you one got to be careful with where you fall into.
- 7:06And I think that at this point in the United States and even across the world,
- 7:11but even if you dabble around there, look, listen, there's a lot of great journalists.
- 7:16And even in Mexico, there's these Lauren Sanchez, I believe her name, if I'm not mistaken.
- 7:21She's a great journalist. She appeared in a lot of documentaries, countries
- 7:24but sadly she was calling out
- 7:27how you know the cartels the mexican cartels with
- 7:30the mexican government and she feared for her life that
- 7:33she had to move now she's living in europe still talking the same thing
- 7:35i give her props but in mexico even journalists who want to expose things sadly
- 7:42when you go somewhere deep you're gonna be finding like somewhere body bag or
- 7:47you'll be fine floating somewhere in some river or lake sometimes even in a
- 7:51toilet sadly you know what i I mean,
- 7:54so I just want to bring that up because sometimes if I do something in my podcast,
- 8:00again, it's content creating, but also want to inform people, want to educate people.
- 8:05If I find out, like example, one of the things that I want to do,
- 8:09is that, again, I come from a community of poverty. And if one thing,
- 8:14if I see there's a lot of scams in our community because people are vulnerable.
- 8:18And when you're vulnerable and looking for an easy way out, because sadly,
- 8:23there's a lot of people in our community,
- 8:24whether you're migrant or even born in the United States, where you might not
- 8:28have finished school, so you're reading comprehension and so on, but it's not up there.
- 8:34So there comes somebody who got those, what they call,
- 8:37you know con artists right confidence person is
- 8:40what they call them and comes up with idea listen i
- 8:43got this water and this water if you
- 8:46buy 10 of these you could sell it and this water
- 8:49is going to give you a superpower beyond superpower and this
- 8:52water is the clearest clear water
- 8:55that you could see that it's so clear that you don't
- 8:58even know that there's water inside that bottle you know something like that
- 9:01and people would sadly fall for it and
- 9:04especially like communities and then you know sell it
- 9:07and there's people that's gonna sell it and then you built what they call like a multi-level
- 9:10marketing pyramid scheme so i'm also
- 9:13going to be doing some some of that because i want my podcast to
- 9:16expand its palates but again going to
- 9:19these things you know being kind of you know and i hate to say this but me you
- 9:24know trying to act like hey listen i'm a buyer i'm just gonna buy this and whatever
- 9:28just to get you know to get like they will say my feet wet then hey more or
- 9:34lest I'll be doing some contacts like that.
- 9:37You know, it's not easy. And I can actually say that one of my brothers in arms,
- 9:42you know, he does the podcasting too.
- 9:44And, you know, he was going to the social, feeling a little bit out of it.
- 9:47And don't want to say his name yet, you know, but I got love for my little brother
- 9:51there, my brother in arms.
- 9:53And, you know, he made a comment on, he made a post on.
- 9:58Where he said that, I love politics. And I talk about politics a lot because
- 10:03we got exposed to these evil things that are happening, which I agree.
- 10:08But he said that it does take a toll because there's not really much that one can do.
- 10:12You know what I mean? And, you know, we here in the United States of America, we know what happens.
- 10:18And sometimes we don't know that, hey, listen, a lot of times the United States
- 10:21is involved in things that happened outside, you know, let's say,
- 10:26whether it's what's happened in Palestine, Gaza.
- 10:28You know, I always tend to question it. Listen, it was 1964,
- 10:3265, United States, invaded Dominican Republic.
- 10:36If not just invaded Dominican Republic, the Marines, you know,
- 10:40shot up a couple of Dominicans, men, women, kids.
- 10:43You know, if TV was a thing like back then, you would have been seeing the image
- 10:47and you were like, oh my God.
- 10:49But you see, you wouldn't know the story behind it. because we're going to fall into a narrative.
- 10:53So one of the things there is that, listen, in order to do content creator,
- 10:57you have to kind of push and educate people.
- 11:00But sometimes it's up to people to be like, okay.
- 11:03Because sadly, a lot of times, especially living in the United States,
- 11:06is that we tend to think that we are picking the right people.
- 11:09We are voting for the right party or anything to that effect.
- 11:14But then we see something happening here, right?
- 11:17Let's say there's an invasion. and under, let's say, this administration,
- 11:21Republicans, we start saying, oh my God, look, the United States,
- 11:25you know, Republican Party, they're invading this group and they're killing
- 11:29kids and all this, you know, doing this stuff.
- 11:32But then you don't know that the backstory that could have also started under
- 11:36the Democratic administration before.
- 11:38You know, I always say that it's one thing that one person started and the other
- 11:41finished it or the other one continued. That's always a given.
- 11:44That's why you got to deal properly.
- 11:46But these are the little things that we kind of try and, you know,
- 11:49the reason why we do these podcasts. We want to inform, we want to educate people.
- 11:54We try sometimes not to just like our point of view, but we kind of want to,
- 11:59you know, spread the word based on some of the independent sources that we have.
- 12:03This is the gray zone, you know, would be one.
- 12:06And it's not easy. I guess there's something out there that is sinister.
- 12:10And again, you know, I'm trying to bring this to the forefront because I am
- 12:15going to be uploading in some content.
- 12:18That's going to be interesting.
- 12:19Again, one of the things that I was working on a couple of months ago,
- 12:23I was just trying to get my feet wet.
- 12:25There was this area. There was a store. Again, a storefront.
- 12:29And then I've seen it and they have these products, these supplements in my
- 12:32area. And again, mostly migrants.
- 12:34Mostly migrants. And I kept on passing, passing. And you know, one day.
- 12:38A gentleman, migrant, you know, kind of suit up a little bit,
- 12:41but, you know, gave me a pamphlet.
- 12:43Okay, you know, I sat down and it's like, wow, like, you know,
- 12:47there's people, these migrants that work, they got $100.
- 12:51So you're going to give this $100 to this person that they're going to flip
- 12:54it. They're going to help you flip it and so on. So what did I find out?
- 12:59So they closed the shop. Apparently it was a little scheme going on there.
- 13:03So thankfully, so I did not have part of the closing the shop or whatnot.
- 13:07But, you know, it kind of gave me that little kind of adrenaline,
- 13:11in a sense, and kind of remember, like, hey,
- 13:14listen, when it comes to the migrants, because I've lived, you know,
- 13:17in these areas where there's poverty, you know, the black community,
- 13:21the migrant community that includes, you know, many from Africa,
- 13:26Bangladesh, Dominican, Puerto Ricans, Mexican.
- 13:28I'll throw Puerto Ricans because, hey, we migrated here. Regardless of our status
- 13:32legally here because we are citizens of the United States, we migrated here.
- 13:36And you got to keep in mind, us as Puerto Ricans, we are U.S.
- 13:39Citizens and we're fully U.S.
- 13:41Citizens once we come to the United States. But guess where we are?
- 13:44We are still in the same areas that there's the black community and the migrant
- 13:48community. You know what I mean?
- 13:50Just because we have that certain, I don't like to say privilege,
- 13:54but just because we have that little thing going on, don't mean that we got
- 13:59like 30,000 Puerto Ricans living in Cascales in these certain areas in New York.
- 14:06Beverly Hills, you know what I mean? I'm just saying.
- 14:09We're migrating with the likes of the others here in the United States.
- 14:14And for me to see that, like, sadly, these people, you know.
- 14:20They give their savings, sometimes more than 100, to these charlatans,
- 14:24other migrants, who have, you know, have that little, you know,
- 14:29con savviness, because either it's here or they'll do it in their country.
- 14:34But here, I guess it's a little bit different because, hey, now you have maybe more research.
- 14:39But for one to con these people to say, oh, I got this supplement and you buy
- 14:44a hundred dollars worth of these supplements.
- 14:47And sadly, these people buy like two hundred dollars worth of these supplements
- 14:51and nobody buys them because they don't they're not effective.
- 14:56You know, and I'm not going to mention no names. I know the names of these supplements
- 14:59of the company. I'm not a, you know, rough or any feathers at the moment,
- 15:03but it's one of those things.
- 15:05I remember sitting down, there was a little discourse.
- 15:08You know what I said? You know, when the gentleman was asking me,
- 15:10oh, how much can you buy? You know, here's a box.
- 15:13And you know, that's what they do. They give you a box. They put it in your
- 15:15hand so you can feel it a certain way. No, no, I'm like, ugh.
- 15:18No, no, I'm just, you know, because I might be moving. But if I don't move,
- 15:21you know, I give him like whatever.
- 15:23Force, you know, persona. Yeah, yeah.
- 15:26But it's sad because these are the things that happen. And again,
- 15:29I want to bring stuff like this because I, again, I don't want to just be informative
- 15:33and educate and talk about different topics, history, motivation, and so on.
- 15:38But if people out there, you know something of what's going on,
- 15:42because sadly, again, I want our communities to be independent and have to,
- 15:47and do that thing with small business.
- 15:49But sadly, if you're someone from a migraine or African or anything to that
- 15:54effect, you're sometimes more vulnerable than anything.
- 15:59So just be careful out there. You know what I mean? A lot of times,
- 16:02and I, look, with all due respect, I love my African peoples across the continent.
- 16:08But a lot of times, you know, there's certain groups that use them to sell counterfeit
- 16:11product. You know what I mean?
- 16:13Canal Street, hello. You know. But I'm just saying, they bring this to our community.
- 16:18And then sometimes we think that it's real. You know, our community might be,
- 16:22some people might not have that little education and so on. and you're like,
- 16:27okay, let me buy this purse here that is like $20, but in Manhattan it's like $100, $200.
- 16:33You'd think that you'd buy that purse, $20 with the same name brand,
- 16:37whatever, but then you go back home, it disappears, evaporates, and that happens.
- 16:44And we, again, taking advantage of.
- 16:47So that's what's going on, my people. So I'm bringing that, some of the darker,
- 16:52more raw kind of content, you know what I mean?
- 16:55Sometimes if you don't hear me do content every
- 16:58week well I'm gonna do my weekly thing but sometimes hey
- 17:01I might have sit down and try to investigate
- 17:04something but you know for the most part I got a
- 17:07little bit help help or getting some help there's some
- 17:10people that have approached me and in terms of helping me
- 17:13trying to expand not only my content but
- 17:16expand my whole thing my
- 17:19whole network because again down the line
- 17:22who knows if i run for mayor or something
- 17:25to that effect listen i at least have an idea of what's i think fully through
- 17:30and through but let's make it happen anyways i'm out of here much love take
- 17:35care of my peoples once again welcome to the deconstructing topic podcast hit
- 17:39the like comment share much love out there peace.
