- The Drama Drop: up guys? Welcome back to the drama drop. Today we are talking about Big Brother season 28 finale. And let me tell you what a finale it was. The heartbreaking news of Gypsy Rose and her ex-fiance, Ken Urker. And has Rage Baiting officially just become a part of being a reality star? Anyways, we have a lot to get into. So let's dive into it because the drama drops now. Hey guys, before we get into it, can we just take a moment to appreciate that it is now fall time for all my summer-loving girlies? I'm so sorry your time has come to an end. It is fall. It is go time. It's my favorite time of the year. Granted, I can only go so far with it because I live in Texas. So I can only experience fall to a certain extent. But I'll take it. Okay. The weather is getting so much cooler. I now can put on a jacket in the morning when I go on a walk, leggings, dare I say, and I'm not scorching hot. So it's super exciting over here. You know, we take what we can get. I'm ready for some fall leaves, you know. I want to hear a little crunch when I walk, but that doesn't really happen too often here. But anyways, before I get into all the things, I just had to take a moment to Be so excited that it is fall time and it's Halloween time, scary movies, just the spooky things, you know, a love of little pumpkin-shaped Reese's. Anyways, it's just, it's my favorite time of the year, and I had to make sure that it gets appreciated and acknowledged before I get into everything. All right, so let's start. Okay. Big Brother season 28 finale. It happened. First of all, I'm really sad because I'm just going through withdrawals, okay? I love the show so much. I get so invested. Listen to all the live feed updates, you know, watch the live feeds. And I have like a Twitter or I guess X, specifically two Big Brother accounts just to get as much content as I possibly can because I can never get enough. the finale happened, okay? Happened last Thursday. And let me tell you, it was a finale. Like it, it was crazy, I felt like. It had been a while that I felt that we've had such a an exciting finale. I mean, let me take that back. Last year's a finale was really exciting, I will say. But there was something different about this season. I felt like very emotionally invested for whatever reason. I know that sounds so insane, but it's true. me and my husband and my stepdaughter, we went to a watch party and It was hosted by Brooklyn Rivera. She was on BB twenty six. So that was super fun. So there was some BB alum that was there and a lot of fans. And we it was like a little sports restaurant bar type situation. All the TVs, you know, normally it's plastered with football games or whatever sports game is happening. It was all big brother. So I it was right up my alley. I was like, This is where I belong. This is it. And it was really fun to watch it in that aspect. And Hearing all of the emotions with everybody as you know the episodes going on was so crazy. So Rick Devons, Taylor, and Drew, they were the final three. And I knew everything up until the point of didn't know who was gonna win the three-part HOH. So the first part was kind of just like so-so for me because I already knew. Cause like I said, I'm a freak and I spoil everything for myself because I just I literally can't. emotionally handle it. Like I have to know what's happening. I used to not be like that. I used to just watch the aired episode and call it a day. But that's not good enough for me anymore. Anyways, so obviously the third part HOH, that was going to be happening live. So no one really knew it was going to happen. and I'll be honest, I was really shocked at the ending. Not that Devon's won But that he cut Drew. Like that was insane. And I'll be honest, I kind of fell off on the live feeds towards the last week because to me, you know, in this is every season, there's not too much gameplay talk, you know, because there's only so many things that can possibly happen. Like you're at the end. Everyone I feel like is kind of getting a little fatigued. there's not a lot of commotion going on. There's hardly any bodies in the house. So like what what can you do? You know, there's not even really enough for drama even. So I kind of fall off on the last week. I might check in here or there, but it seemed like it was pretty much set in stone. Like Drew, he, you know, set it up very nicely to where it seemed no matter who was going to win that three part HOH, he was going to be sitting in those final two chairs. However, it could took a turn because Taylor started to Campaign for herself. Good for her. I mean, it worked out. You know, she was threatening jury votes to Devons, basically saying, basically just made a really good pitch. I don't know why they didn't show that in the episode. I felt like that's where they really fell short. Like they really should have honed in on her conversation with Devons because that conversation the night before got him to change his mind and ultimately evict Drew at the final two. and take her. So I And you know, I'm sitting here and I'm thinking, I just really like it would be smarter for Devons to evict Drew. However, I would have I think he would have won in any situation. However, no offense to Taylor, sorry. It's it was so much more of a landslide if he took Taylor. And I think that really got in his head. Because at the end of the day, whether you like Drew or not, he did play and he didn't ride the coattails of the icon. Like I don't agree with that sentiment at all. he played, okay. There wasn't a day. He wasn't involved in a conversation, trying to figure out what was going on, kind of just being aware of what was happening in the house, whether you hate him, you love him. The kid played, okay. And he won competitions. Like he had to fight for his place. And, you know, again, like I said, riding the coattails, half of the icons didn't even trust him three fourths of the time. So it's like, Was he really truly always safe? No. So, anyways, yeah, I think it's more of a landslide if you're sitting next to Taylor. And she presented that really well to Devons, enough to convince him to take Drew. And I really didn't think I was like, no, you know, even though he may be weary about it, I think he's going to take Drew. I think regardless. And Taylor obviously, if she won, she was going to take Drew because she has zero chance. whatsoever against Devons. However, I don't think she would have won against Drew either, but that would have been the better of the two for her, I think. anyways, so when it comes down to it, and Devins is going to evict Drew, I you could just see it. Like you could see the emotion. And I knew as soon as he started to get super emotional and saying his number one alliance is his family, basically, and he evicted Drew. It was everybody was in pure shock. Pure shock. Because you know, Devin's really, at least from what I gather, prides himself on being a very loyal player. Like that is what's faulted him, I think, in the past with Survivor. I'm not as familiar with that, but that's just what I've gathered. And yeah, but as sad as it was, I definitely think it was the smarter move. It was a lot safer to be sitting next to Taylor. And I mean, at the end of the day, Drew, he even made, you know, he was like, I get it, because I was gonna do the same thing had I been in that situation. so I think everybody kind of realizes that Taylor was just the easiest person to sit next to Final Two. And, you know, a lot of people could be upset about that. And I think when it comes to big brother, Yeah, you want to be loyal to your allies. You don't want to like burn them too quickly. You don't want to have that kind of reputation, especially if you potentially go on another season or any other game. But when it comes to that much amount of money and at the very end, and also to it's like you know what your ally has done. Like you've worked with them, like you know they have a compelling argument. then Yeah, at that point it's almost like you have to you can I personally you can't sit really next to your ally in the final two chairs as much as, you know, you want to make a final two deal with people or whatever, and that's great. And you can hold on to that as long as you possibly can until it gets to where you can't. because again, like I said, when you're working so closely with somebody and you feel like you played a great game, that person sitting next to you, you know, most likely has also equally played a very strong game as well. and they have just as many, if not more, arguments. And, you know, there could be just be things that you don't know about. So at the end of the day, it was definitely a smart decision for Devons. And, you know, Drew, you know, he expressed the same thing. If I get it, I mean I would have done the same thing. Obviously it didn't hurt or it doesn't make it hurt less. but yeah. And I gotta say Those final two speeches were very painful to watch. It was giving Gina Marie. If you don't know anything about Gina Marie season 15, don't you don't even have to watch the season. The season has actually kind of barbaric. It's a really insane season. but just fast forward to the final speeches because Gina Marie's speeches and answers to the questions were. Very painful. suffering is what it was like watching roadkill that didn't fully get run over. You know, you're just like watching it die. Like you can't even do anything to help. It was so I I had to refresh my memory that people were making that comparison. It's like Taylor's speeches were an answer to the questions he was giving Gina Marie. but it's just, I don't know. I You could just tell, I mean, sure she may have spoke with confidence and a sense, but I feel really where Taylor's downfall was is she really honed in and like she could not get past the fact that Devons was an icon. Like he came in as an icon, quote unquote, had advantages, you know, was able to compete in the first HOH, was able to get a power from America. And had two other people that had an icon title to kind of almost like force an alliance, you know? It's like, hey, like we're kind of in this together. Like, let's go ahead. Whereas everybody else, they're strangers, they don't know. You're trying to vibe out people to see who you would want to work with. so it's like, yeah, that is a fair point in a sense of there were a couple of those advantages. However, You cannot make that a majority of your argument. You're focusing so much on what Devons got coming into the game and not enough of what you did. You know, sure you can touch on that. It's like regardless of Devons having XYZ, I came into this having no powers and advantages. And look at everything else I did. Look at everything else I orchestrated behind the scenes. XYZ, but the problem is too, I really just don't think she was orchestrating a lot behind the scenes. Her from my perspective, her greatest thing that she did, aside from convincing Devons to take out Drew, which I don't know why she didn't really emphasize on that, was just that she was aware. She was very aware of everything that was going on in the house. However, there was she did not ever get power. to make something happen the way that she wanted to happen. So I mean sh it wasn't like she was clueless. I'll give her that. She wasn't clueless. She knew what was going on. She was very, you know, observant. She knew situations. She was very self-aware. She just couldn't do anything about anything because herself didn't have power or the people that she had in power. You know, it the cards just didn't like she couldn't really get them to influence or she couldn't influence them enough to make the decisions. I don't know. It's just, it was kind of unfortunate. Like she just really didn't have a compelling argument. And I feel like, yeah, you know, she really took what Devin's got in the house, but okay, like you need to talk about you. And the one thing that she was trying to say. Of a move that she did that advanced her position. Because the whole jury clocked it. They were like, wait, no. She was trying to say that she orchestrated the vote flip for lyric, but every like the reaction on the jury, they immediately looked at each other and were like, Are you hearing this? Are we hearing the same thing? Like she thinks that she did that. Crazy. Like that, I got really a lot of secondhand embarrassment. And again, I don't think, you know, people were all so upset about that reaction. I don't think that was necessarily them trying to be snarky or whatever. I I personally, I think it was a knee-jerk reaction of like, wait, what? Because they were obviously the ones that orchestrated, like they knew everything from the beginning to the end, whatever. so I think it was just kind of like, wait. That you know, I don't think it was anything malicious or trying to be catty or whatever. but yeah, I felt I was like, as soon as she said that and the reaction of the jury, I was like, she's completely lost it. Not that I ever think that she had it and she was going to win this thing, but that really validated everything. And then for Devons to come right back around and just be like, actually, no, like this is what happened with the lyric. vote I just was like, God. Like it just was not looking good for Taylor. and, you know, I don't know. It's just it's it's crazy. and then it's just interesting too to see just the discourse of like online about people think and how their opinions on just every situation, you know, people were all up in arms about Yosh and his vote and how he didn't vote for Taylor to win. It's like really that like you couldn't have thrown her a vo I'm sorry, you're picking the winner to win seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars. If I if you were my friend in the house and I rode with you the entire time, I'm sorry, that's not what equates to a winner. Like I wanna hear what you did. Like maybe I didn't know. Like you gotta be a good player. Like I it can't just be because I'm friends with you. I just don't understand these people, like Yes, there is a sense of loyalty, but at the end of the day, it's like who was the better wit like to who truly deserves it? And I don't know, I'm just kind of this may be a hot take, unpopular opinion, whatever, but I'm really over a victim mentality, a sob story. Everybody has a story, right? Everybody has gone through things, everybody is going through things and people will go through things in the future if they currently, if they aren't currently or haven't. Everybody has a story. Everybody has a reason as to why they're there, why they want to play, what they can do with that money, whatever. And I just feel like people sometimes feel really entitled to that because I I just don't know what really, you know, like it's just it's kind of irritating and you're it's a game at the end of the day. Like sometimes we are just thinking too too deep into it. And I don't really think, you know, this isn't a game of like, Who has the best sob story? Who is more of the victim? Who is not being you know what I mean? It's like who played the best game? Okay. Like I'm sorry, like, you know, basketball, football. We're not looking at, gosh, but this player, like, they're injured and they can't play. Let's let's try to ease up on this team, or, you know, this this player really went through something. Last year, like let's try to ease up on that. And so let's let them score a couple touchdowns. No, you're playing a game. Let's focus back on the game and the strategic, the competitions, jury management, all the things that correlate with the game. Let's focus on that. And I don't know. I just really want that whole sentiment to change, the narrative to change when it comes to how people play and their votes and how they think votes need to be distributed. I'm just, I'm like, we're crossing lines here. You know, it's not like it's a charity where it's like, there's this money. Like let's see who's mo most deserving of this money. Like let me know your story so I can donate to no, it's a game. It's a game. And I'm so just over everybody getting way too personal when it comes to it. they just need to really think about that. It's like we've really lost the plot. And it makes watching and playing it, I would imagine less fun when everybody is just on this high moral compass. And I'm not saying you can't you're you have to be like a terrible I'm not saying like don't have any morals or have integrity playing. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying when it comes to every aspect of it, when they're like, Yosh, you should have voted for Taylor. She was your friend. Okay, but we're playing a game. You know, it's like, let's just think about that for a second. but you know, I don't know. I I go back and forth on if I think it's unfair, if veterans, you know, like if it's if there's any former players going in with newbies, et cetera, et cetera. to be fair, I mean, let's just call like it like Devin said never played Big Brother before. Yeah, he's played Survivor, but he's never played Big Brother before. So, I mean, can you really even call him like a veteran? You know, it's like that is technically a new player in the Big Brother sphere. but I don't know. I go back and forth because I mean, it it is very clear if they weren't in the season, the trajectory of the game would be very different for sure. I mean, I would imagine people like Camu, Yash, Chuck maybe, Haley probably would have been. in power for a really long time and really would have, you know, dominated the season. I just feel, you know, with when you have people that know how to play games and are kind of fearless, it makes it more fun. And then it makes it, you know, with the players that are in the game, like Drew, for example, and then Morgan for last year. It's like they can kind of they view those players as Not necessarily, okay, what are you gonna like? What do you want me to do? H you know, jump, I'll say how high, more so of a mentor. It's like, let me see how you navigate these situations, what you think, and you know, partner with them. And they're kind of taking those tools and applying it themselves. Just because they're working with them doesn't necessarily mean meaning they're riding the coattails. I mean, like I said, Drew's back was against the wall numerous times. There were people Like in the icons that weren't trusting of him, were wanting to go after him. Like he constantly had to, you know, prove his loyalty and that still wasn't enough. He had to win competitions. He had to work on playing all sides with a social game. You know, like he wasn't just sitting there, like, what do you want? What do you want? And kind of falling in the shadows. so I mean, yeah, regardless, it's going to change the trajectory of the game if there's gonna be a rookie. A veteran, you know, however that whole mix is, the only difference is I do think when you do have players of other seasons or maybe other games, you have just like other gamers, it creates a new atmosphere because the game is gonna be a lot more chaotic, maybe, a lot more risk taking, a lot more fun. You know, it was a lot not really predictable every week. Granted, if there weren't, you know, you have rookies, they may be playing it a whole lot more safe because, you know, things are kind of just moving along. You know, I go I go back and forth on it. And I mean, I don't, I don't think it's terrible. The only thing I would say is maybe take out the advantages. because yeah, it's like as much as you want to say, they had advantages, whatever, yada yada. At the same time, they are a threat and a target. But because knowing that there's advantages going on, it makes the people want to go against them less because they don't know what type of advantages. I mean, you know, you saw it with the Diamond Power of Vito that Devons was able to use on D. so I would just say that maybe they get one week of safety in terms of like the first week. But after that, maybe don't have any advantages. because there's been very few seasons. I wanna say, I mean, if you take out the all-star season, because that's obvious, there's those are all returning players. But I wanna say maybe two seasons where there was a returning player that won. And I think that's Rachel Riley and Nicole Franzel. I could be wrong, but out of all the season that there has been. Like at least one returning player, and you take out all stars, only two one. Okay. So it's really like doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to win. but they could help make the game more exciting and entertaining. But overall, I mean, I really enjoyed the season. I thought it was so much fun. And my BB draft, like, I just I don't want to brag, but I won. I Dominated. I dominated. Okay. I got 137 points. The other two people that I was playing with, they didn't even break 50. I'm so sorry. But I won. And so that made it so much more fun. and yeah, it was it was a lot of fun. I would say I don't think like If Devens wasn't in this game, I definitely think Drew would have won this season. I think he played a phenomenal and it was really exciting to watch him play. Like he made it so much fun. I would love to see him return. And that would just really be exciting to see how he would navigate than being a veteran. I don't know. That would just be really fun. Also, too, Drew, if you're watching this, if you want to come on the pod so we can chat your game, I would absolutely love to have you on. I'm sure you're probably sick of talking about your game and Big Brother, but I'm a fan and you were super exciting to watch. So we need to get him on. So everybody tag him. tag him in this so we can get his attention so he'll want to come on. But yeah, overall, I really enjoyed this season. I thought it was so fun. So I'm super excited to see you know, what comes in the future seasons. I don't know if they're gonna do more mixing of other shows going, you know, like adding more survivor people or whatever. but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I thought the outcome was well enough. deserved whether you like it or not. okay, so moving on. There has just been a lot of sadness going on in Hollywood, and I don't know, it's kind of crazy. So first, let me just let me when I saw the notification that Gypsy Rose, I don't know if you want to call him like ex-fiance, whatever like what exactly his title was, but Ken Urker died. Is it terrible of me to say that I was like, no, not again. Like, what are the like what, you know, how is she gonna manage this one? but you know, of course, of course, all the online jokes were going on. It's like, no, like she did it again, type of thing. I'll be honest, I never thought she did anything, because let's just be real. The girl has loved being free. She's loved not being behind bars, you know, brand deals left and right and like living her life. Like I don't think she's going to be going back there and wanting to do anything to be going back there. But again, yeah, when I saw that, I just was like, ooh, that is crazy that this is going on because I just knew immediately there's gonna be speculation for this girl and she's probably going to have to deal with a lot and a lot of questions and a lot of people just like assuming like. she had something to do with this. But Anyway, so like going to the story. yeah, I was completely shocked when I saw that notification pop up on my phone. he passed away on his birthday. So October 1st, his 34th birthday. I guess what sparked kind of, okay, hey, like what what's going on is, you know, people are texting him happy birthday, all these things. No one is getting a response back. so I guess that sent alarm bells because I guess Ken has been had been going through a lot. He expressed that he was very depressed and he was having suicidal thoughts and you know, it just was clearly unwell. So I think it was alarming. Of course, you know, you're telling somebody happy birthday, they're not responding to you, especially like family, you know. and It was just kind of concerning. I will say, I don't know how true this is, but allegedly Gypsy was the one to release the news about Ken to TMZ, which I find very bizarre, but very on brand. I don't know if that's something where it's almost like you want power in the situation. It's like, no, I'm controlling this getting out. I d I really don't know the logic behind that because I can't even imagine being in that situation, whether you're with the person or not. But I mean, let's not forget that is the father of her child to be the first thing that you do is go run to TMZ. Very bizarre. Again, I don't know how true that is, but that's what I heard. And if that is true, priorities may be a little skewed, but we do know that. Girlfriend has been through a lot in her childhood, her life. You know, things, priorities, I'm sure things are a little shifted in what is, you know, just kind of like proper protocol. But yeah, I don't know. There were a lot of issues between Gypsy and Ken. And, you know, Ken's sister is even coming out. Her name's Autumn. And it seems like there's a lot of tension, online tension between Gypsy and Autumn because just the Recollection of the relationship between Gypsy and Ken are kind of very differently viewed between, you know, Gypsy's perspective and Autumn. And I mean, I don't know. It's just very interesting. I feel like they're both trying to fight to create the narrative that they want. W we will never really fully know what's going on, but obviously there had to have been issues between Ken and Gypsy because They didn't get married. They weren't going to get married. They didn't get married. They broke up. I mean, they're trying to co-parent. obviously, if there weren't any issues, why wouldn't they be together? But I think, you know, Gypsy obviously she has a large following, whether you're following in support or you're following just out of pure curiosity of what is going on with this girl's life because it is just such a crazy thing. Everything that she's gone through, gone through. Now she's just like out in the world. you know, it is very interesting. It's like just like a 180 of what we knew her to be, you know, wheelchair bound, medically fragile, fragile child. And then now she's like this whole baddie. It's kind of crazy, right? So, you know, she can kind of create a narrative however she wants to. So I feel like Ken's sister is really kind of stepping in to kind of just be like, this is not how it actually was. Like they were terrible together. I think I saw There were messages that, you know, Gypsy was basically saying, like, whatever, I hate you to Ken. you know, I I don't even care if you die from an OD. So to back it, like, we don't really know that there hasn't been an official report to like the cause of death. Okay. there are a lot of speculations because, you know, Gypsy alluded to the fact that she was like, I'm pretty sure he probably OD'd. So I'm sure she has knowledge of drug use that he was doing, on top of the fact that he was very suicidal and depressed. So I'm sure she probably made that correlation. you know, according to the police reports, like they did find things that you would use in a drug situation, you know, and which doesn't look good. Anyways, but there hasn't been like the official final report of everything. But yeah, we'll see. And then Autumn did come out and say that it was discovered that Ken actually had like a 90% blockage in one of the arteries and then another artery. I think it was like 60 something. So obviously, you know, you if you're doing that and on top of like heart issues. That's not a good mix. but it can't be ruled one way or another yet. Obviously, this will still, I'm sure, you know, as soon as anything is official, that'll come out. But I just thought it was crazy. It's like of all people for this to happen to, like it would happen to Gypsy. And everybody, of course, you know, it's gonna be like girlfriend. We stuck up for you for one situation. I don't know if we can back you for another situation. No, I'm but like it was just kind of like there's no way. There's no way. There's just absolutely no way. but with all of this, you know, coming to light and stuff, I think there's really just been a huge emphasis on cyberbullying, which emphasis, I don't even know if that's the correct thing to say because it's been around for so long. And I don't know if more people are just being more open about the harassment that they're getting online. but I mean, it's everywhere. Like, let's just be clear. Like you can see anybody's posts and you can look in the comments and people will just get berated. I can only imagine what people's private messages say. And I mean, sometimes people will post their messages and be like, This this is insane. Like, look at what these people are saying and it's just death threats or just calling them the most horrendous names or being like, I want to attack your family, which is so crazy. And there's a huge difference in saying, like, I just don't like that person. Like, I watch the show. I don't like them on the show. Yada yada. Versus you are actively going to their profile. You are actively clicking message and you are just typing the most heinous, horrific thing. It it's in like, are you well? Are you well? Like, Why are we doing that? You know what I mean? Again, and this goes to sh like with this podcast and drama, it's like, okay, yeah, like have opinions, whatever. But some of the things that people just feel so comfortable saying, and I don't know if it's they just don't think that that person is going to read it or what. But let me tell you, even if your message doesn't say scene, they can still see it. Like, you know. Once you get to a s like depending on how their settings are, they have to allow the message to come through. But you can still read that message and not say allow. So it doesn't look like they've read it, but they probably have. so I don't know why we're still doing this in this day and age. You know, we all want to talk about mental health. We all want to scream that, like, you know, we need to prioritize self-care, mental health, our well-being. But it's like those same people are going in and they are just attacking these people that have, I don't know, a huge fan base, reality TV stars, influencers, or just like widely known people. it's it's crazy. I just, it's insane. But because of all of this, you know, I guess gypsies wanting to put in a Keenan's Law, I think that's how it's pronounced, really just kind of like. Changing how platforms are used when it comes to harassment and bullying. because you know, I don't know. I'll be thank goodness, I haven't gotten ever to a place where I've had to really report any harassing or bullying that I've been receiving. So I don't know how all of that works, but I guess it might not be as Tightly put. I don't know because people can there's repeated offenses, repeated, you know, reports of people's accounts. And I guess I don't know what the action steps are. I I don't know. I've never had to thankfully do that. But apparently there just needs to be stricter laws or stricter regimen when it comes to reporting harassment. I don't know. So Yeah, she's working on, you know, kind of creating some sort of law around it and getting like a petition to get people to support this so that way it can be put in place. Cause I guess Ken had been repeating or receiving a lot of online harassment. And I would imagine that that probably contributed to the depression, maybe the suicidal thoughts, drug use. I don't know. and Yeah. And then, you know, you just have life in general and then you have that to deal with. It's just kind of crazy. But the end of the day, regardless of how he passed, it's sad all the way around because, you know, they have their two year old daughter. And so Aurora, she's now gonna be without her biological father. And it's just sad. And so I don't know. I don't know. Obviously it there's just a lot of things that are going on. with Hollywood. I mean, it's just I mean, we can even briefly touch on like Melania, Judece, Judice, however which way you wanna pronounce her last name, but she's obviously going through it. I mean, we have seen her kind of really go through this whole mental spiral. I mean, you know, she lost her friend in July. She had like this domestic dispute and the cops were called on her, you know, now she has this court case going on and, you know, she's just really not good in a mental place. And like she's posting things online and that are concerning. And you see it with her mom, Teresa, being like, I care about you. I want you to be, you know, in good health. Like we need to get you well. This just isn't okay. and she's just kind of not really getting it together. And, you know, you just think about like what's going like what truly goes on. Cause it's like I can only imagine to a certain extent, to a certain degree. But obviously I've never lived that life. So, you know, I can only just imagine like how much it takes on a person. And everybody's built differently too. Like some people may be able to block it out a lot easier and not let it get to them. But I mean, yeah, there's just There's so much that goes on online and I mean, I think about it all the time. I talk about it when it's crazy to me when you like actively go to these people's accounts, comment things under their post or message them just the most heinous things you could possibly think of and just think, it's okay. And here's the thing too, you know, it's like which I'll get into it more, but just because these people are online and have an online presence and you know, people wanna say, you asked for it, you put yourself online. No. That's not really that's not necessarily the same thing. It's like, yeah, you can have an opinion, but do you have to do you have to let them know? Like put that in your group chat. Put that in your group chat, talk about it with your friends, talk about it with your spouse. Maybe even a Reddit page, but like a podcast. But to like say it directly to them, yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy behavior. kind of in the same Sphere of that the same realm, but like a lighter note. I want to talk about Jessi Draper. with her whole house rage bait post thing, if you will. So she had posted on Instagram, you know, like a little reel, basically just like, my gosh, yay. I can't even remember what the caption was. new beginnings loading, that's what it was. And it's her in a new house, open space with Marciano. And Marciano, he posts, like, my gosh, can't wait to do life with you. So immediately, you know, she knows what people are thinking. Like, my gosh, they're moving in together. I can't tell you how many people sent me that post. I'm not gonna lie. I sent it to people as well, being like, my gosh. But so she knows what she's doing. She knows what she's doing, but Let me tell you though, like I can only imagine the messages that she was getting and she was receiving because I listen, I love a comment section. You won't really find me in a comment section much, but I love to read them. I love to just kind of like with the little blinders peek through and just see. Like that's where I love to live, you know? It's like you could be watching a video. I could have my thoughts. I love to see if people are thinking the same thing that I am or a different thought. And people are so funny. Like, besides being like harassing and just saying really rude things, people are really funny in a comment section. Like, that's just a little sidebar. So, you know, you could be on TikTok and watch the funniest video and give a little chuckle, but you open up that comment section and like, how are people this funny? It's so good. It's so good. So I I love the comments. anyways, but I was reading the comments and I I was having a good old time. And yeah, of course, you know, she definitely got people. judging her and letting them know exactly what they think about this whole situation. And I mean, I'll be honest, like I had thoughts I was like, wow, like they're moving in together. Like that's crazy because that's exactly what the video alluded to. lo and behold though, she definitely posted a video to clarify things for us. And you know, she was just letting us know hey, I you know, I didn't buy this house for Marciano I didn't like this wasn't a house for us. Like I bought my new home, yada yada yada. Of course we knew it was going to stir up chaos, drama, rage bait, if you will. And you know, she definitely knows how to rage bait. And she did a great job because that's exactly what happened. But I do want to argue though. I I need to make a just like a Is it actually rage baiting though? If it's almost kind of true. Cause like, let's be honest, it's very clear you are in a very serious relationship with Marciano. This isn't just like a new fling. Like he's very much involved in your life, in your kids' life. Like, there's so many video. Like to think that he won't be there a majority of the time, we'd be idiots. So sure, you may not have like signed for this house. His his name may not be on the dotted line. But he's probably going to be living there, at least for a majority of the time. I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that he's moving from Vegas to Utah. so he's gonna be living there, right? Like, let's not let you can't like so is it really a rage bait if it's actually kind of true? but like I get it though. I get it, you know, get the people talking, get the buzz. All of that. But yeah, so it's like moving in part-time. What is part-time? Whatever. Listen, we know the thing. Like you guys are living together. He knows your kids. He's very much involved with your kids. You've openly expressed you like I my kids are everything to me. I want who I'm going to be spending my time with. I need to know how that clicks. I need to know how that relationship is gonna work. If my kids aren't vibing with him, if they're vibe, if he's not vibing with my kids, then I need to call it quits. I don't want to waste my time. Which I can argue, yeah, like that does make sense. I feel like with kids, it's such a sticky situation. I feel like that's what people are really honed in on with her. I don't think, you know, like divorces like if she didn't have these children, I don't think people would nearly be as critical of this relationship because, you know, it was very apparent that there were issues going on in her marriage. Her and Jordan, you know, she openly expressed it when they were together. You know, she had no Qualms about saying any of that. But I think with the kids involved, it just creates a whole nother layer. And, you know, I'll admit I definitely had those thoughts of judgment where I was like, okay, wait, but like you have kids. Like this is kind of crazy, no? But when she kind of put it into perspective of, you know, I need to know how this is gonna work with my kids. I don't want to get too involved, whatever. waste my time and then it not be a good fit. And that makes sense to me. However, what caveat I do want to think about that for us, like as an audience, does it just seem quicker to us because the divorce just happened? Like, if we put it in perspective of, you know, and she's admitted this too. So it's not like she's denying it and it's not like I'm whatever. But She had this like emotional relationship with Marciano before divorcing Jordan. So, does it just seem like it's quicker to us because the timeline is a little bit skewed to us? That could very well be. I mean, think about it, like all that stuff, like that happened a while ago. And when, you know, Vanderpunt Villa filmed, like that was even before we got to see all the fall. Like, so they had been in each other's lives for quite some time. So I feel like The timeline just seems a little bit skewed just because they weren't able to be nearly as public with it. You know, things were kind of behind closed doors. So though that relationship was developing well before, obviously. So I think to it just seems like it's a lot quicker. But there's actually been time built behind it. but yeah, and anyways, that's just like another example of people in her comments just. going after her. And I can only imagine the messages and DMs she was getting just berating her, judging her, and all of that. And, you know, at the end of the day, as long as it works with her and Jordan, with how the whole situation goes down between like with their kids and stuff like that, perfect. And he seems great with the kids, granted, I mean we're only seeing like a little bit of a clip, but like I do believe her that she, you know, is would is putting her kids first. And if it doesn't work with the kids, like then she's not having that situation. But but I will say it is, you know, interesting the pattern of going one relationship to another before the prior one ends. but I don't know. We'll see. We'll see. They do seem like they really mesh well. Again, this is just all from what I can say online. It's not like I'm BFFs with them. But yeah. So anyways, I just found it interesting because, you know, she was out there admitting like, yeah, we're rage baiting. And, you know, so it's almost just like, does that become Part of reality television, is that almost the formula? when you are a reality star or an influencer, like is that part of the situation to how you keep up your momentum, to keep up the engagement? Like, do you just like hit a wall and it's like, okay, I need to create some sort of buzz? Like, what can I do now to kind of create conversation? It's like I know it's gonna rile the people up to just be a rage baiter because that's what I feel like, at least especially with this whole Secret Lives of Mormon Wives crew, it's There's always little some Easter eggs or some ambiguity of in a caption or what subliminal messages. And it's like, ooh, is that real or is it just trying to rage bait me? I don't know. But I just felt like this was just a prime example. It's like, okay, like Jessi knew what she was doing with that video. She had full intention to create some sort of chaos and stir conversation to get either people very supportive of it. Or very angry. And that's exactly what happened, I'm sure. Cause I just think of me and my situation specifically of how many times I received that video and how many times I sent that out being like, my gosh, they're moving in together. It created a conversation, like it did exactly what she wanted it to do. And even more so now because I'm talking about it on this podcast. So, you know, it's like s you have to kind of think about it too when we're seeing some of this stuff. It's like what how much of this is curated to create the engagement that these people are looking for? But anyways, yeah, I mean, that's just a prime example. So something as like simple as that. It's like you're still to tie it into how people are reactive online, just seeing how angry people were at her. And it's like, dude, again, send it to your friends in the D like share the post to your friends. Talk about it. Like she doesn't need to see that. She doesn't know you. Why is she gonna care what you have to say? Your your one comment isn't gonna be like, wait, it's clicking for me now. That's right. Vanessa from Ohio. I get it. Thank you. Thank you for that comment because now it makes sense and I'm going to change completely everything in how you see fit. Anyways, but a little pivot kind of because it's like Secret Lives Mormon Wives Adjacent, because I'm gonna talk about the OC. I don't have like much to talk on about it, but we do know that it is premiere November 12th, and it already seems like there's drama with this already, and this hasn't even started yet. I don't know if you guys saw, but I I mean, and I don't really know much about like this cast, but Chandler Higginson was originally part of the cast. And I guess, you know, she had been filming with them for months. Like she's in episodes, whatever. And then Hulu, they dropped like the teaser cast, all that stuff, you know, they're prepping. Like this show, we hope is gonna be good. I don't know. I'm just like, ugh, like I just want it to be somewhat authentic, please. But and by authentic, I don't mean everybody say kumbaya like we're BFFs. I mean like authentic issues, authentic drama, authentic controversy, not authentic. Rage bait. Okay. I just want to make that very clear when I say authentic. Anyways, so drop like the teaser cast, whatever. Chandler was nowhere to be found. What happened here? We'll have to find out, of course. So I guess Jordan McClanahan, I think that's how you say it, took her place. So of course we have no answers. Everything is ambiguous. We get the whole thing from like Chandler and her husband. I guess they're like, We have a lot to say and we'll be waiting to share it. Like we'll we'll share soon. I don't know if that means they have to wait till the premiere or when they I don't know. But of course something obviously happened for that to whole to obviously go down. So what? I don't know. It'll be interesting. but I'm like, how? How is this already happening? I mean I love it. Heck yeah. Like let's go for it. Like I'm ready to go because again Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the original, it's no longer as we know it. I don't know what the future holds for that, but again, we all know how I feel about it. It's like I don't know what how much more real and authentic all their issues are gonna be moving forward, just given the situation of the cast and storylines. So yeah, give me something. Give me something good. I need something new to like sink my teeth into and be so emotionally invested and. All of it, I'm ready for it. And it's already starting and the season hasn't even premiered yet. So yeah, I'll be ready for that. And so remember November twelfth. And apparently they're dropping all 10 episodes at once. Thank goodness. Glorious. so super excited for that. And then I just also have to say again, I know I mentioned this before in like a previous episode, but I'm still really annoyed that they're like holding on to the Mormon wives description. It's like, okay. These women aren't all Mormon or they're not practicing. So why are we like holding on to that branding? Like what is it? Like, I don't know. I think they could have gone back to the drawing board. Sure, we have Jen Affleck, like kind of being like the bridge from like the original to OC. But I feel like we could have come up with something. It's just like it doesn't it doesn't make sense. I don't know. So that that is really where they're losing me. But I just I don't I don't really get it. so anyways, there's all of that. and then last but not least, I'm not gonna go like too crazy into it, but just kind of still in the same realm of mental health and depression and all of that stuff. I do have some good news, you know, from a sad situation, but Carrot Top has been released from the hospital. I didn't get the opportunity really to go into it because I've had interviews and guests, but Carrot Top was in the hospital, became hospitalized on September 18th for a suicide attempt. basically when all of that happened, you know, he was getting a lawsuit. And I don't really want to go into because there's just kind of a lot with it, but in short of it, it just seemed like Maybe there was some extortion going on, blackmailing issues, you know, kind of just like sexual encounters that he had with some men. And I guess there might have been evidence of it and wanting to release that said evidence for money. I don't know, but a lot of things were going on with all of that, and then that he was learning of these developments and was trying. tried to take his own life. Thank goodness that he didn't succeed. But he was in the hospital for quite some time and was, you know, going through recovery, trying to get help, all that stuff. And he had his first like public sighting October fourth. And he looked, he was smiling. I mean, he obviously like he looked very thin. So I mean, I can only imagine like just going through all of that. But he was on his way to meet with a Catholic priest and I guess just kind of you know, get back into civilization and start living his life again. you know, he was on tour. He had like a residency in Vegas, all of that stuff. And he reports that he is going to be returning to performing October nineteenth. So that's good. So things are like on the mends for him. I don't know what this means in terms of like the lawsuit or anything like that. But I mean, it's just great that it seems that he is feeling better. question mark. I mean, he must be considering the fact that he's feeling up to getting ready to perform again, you know, a month after he was hospitalized. So that's good. So I just wanted to give an update on that. I know I didn't really talk about it much prior to all of it, but I just felt like, okay, that's some good news. But, you know, again. just it kind of fit the theme of just there's so many people that you know are in the limelight or whatever you want to call it, whatever space it may be where it seems that they have a lot more eyes on them than the average person, that there is just a lot of darkness and they receive probably way more than what we could even imagine. because I know I feel like sometimes I get a little desensitized when I see things of cyberbullying or like, I'm just getting like harassed online. You know, you always hear a story about somebody because it just seems like it's constantly happening. And it's like, okay, at what point do you just say, like, okay, yeah, like this is just protocol. Not saying that it's correct, but it's just kind of like I should expect this and to not take it seriously. Or not sorry, not to take it seriously, but like on the receiving end, just be like, okay, whatever. Like this person's a loony tunes, like let me block and just kind of move on. but you know Never had to experience that. And but it I mean, it's very evident that it is just it takes a lot on these people. And I'm sure after many, many years of receiving things like that and just being in the public eye, and everything that you do is scrutinized no matter what. It takes a lot on a person. I can only, only imagine. So we're happy that he seems to be doing a lot better and That's all we can hope for. And hopefully that continues the path and he stays feeling healthy and being okay. And I hope Melania feels okay. I hope you know, gypsies, whatever help that she needs going through all of this, you know, obviously losing the father of her child. And you know, I can only imagine what type of situation that she is going through on social media and any messages that she's getting. Hopefully she's staying offline, but I kind of doubt it. but yeah, so just remember people, like you can have opinions and you can be as snarky as you want, but don't message them. Like, don't be that weirdo. Just tell your friends about it, talk to your spouse about it, somebody who cares, don't send it to them because it just doesn't really do like I don't think there's ever been a message that somebody has sent that has been like harassing that has come out on the other end positive for. Either person, like, why are we doing that? Why are we doing that? How have we not moved past that? Like, how have we not learned from that and decided to like let's just not, you know what mean? All right. Well, I know I've been on such a rant with a lot of things, a lot of things. I need to end it with, of course, my chic and week of the week. And I have to give my chic of the week to Guillermo on Dancing with the Stars. I am rooting for him. Okay. I am rooting for that man. I find him so adorable. I absolutely love that he is so into it. It looks like he is really taking it serious and he really wants to do so well. you know, just that post that Whitney posted where she was like, I need to take a break. And Yermo is still practicing. It just, it seriously, it warms my heart. you know, and like he knows, like he has to practice whatever, you know, it's like, it's just just so there's something. Just so endearing about a person that's trying to something new that they haven't done, probably really out of their comfort zone, out of the element. And yeah, I just think he's doing great. And there's been so many positive reviews and you can just see he really does care. It's not like it's not like he's trying to do the whole bit of like, ooh, like I'm funny, like people aren't expecting me to do well. So I'm just gonna like whatever and yada yada and kind of just Goof out like no, it looks like he's seriously trying and wants to do well. And I absolutely love that. And so for that, he is my chic of the week. And I'm super excited to see the results of this week. I know by the time this drops, it'll be Thursday. So we'll already have an episode have dropped, but hopefully the next week, we'll, you know, we can talk about it. Also, his salsa apparently, his sales have skyrocketed. So much so that we were reached out to And it was hard to find that salsa anywhere. Like the sales are just skyrocketing through the roof. He's doing so well with his salsa. So if you get the opportunity and you see Guillermo Salsa, I know it's in Costco. I don't know. I think I heard that it was gonna be in Kroger now too. I'm sure it's probably gonna be expanding into other grocery stores. But if you get the chance and you see Guillermo Salsa, pick it up. Try it. It's do it. You have to. okay, and then my week of the week, it's not a person. It is a thing. Cause we know chic and weak, like it can be a person, place, or thing. And I'm telling you, it is a thing. athletic sets or any set, really, any set for that matter, being sold as one. And let me just like clarify. In theory, it is great. Like, ooh, yes, like I don't have to worry about spending dollars solely on pants and then dollars solely on the top, yada yada. But here's the thing. It's really frustrating when, you know, you can't pick the size for the top and the bottom. What if I don't want the same size for both the top and the bottom? So now I have to lose out on this amazing deal of like getting a set and getting like a cheaper price versus like, I'd have to like buy it separately somewhere else. You know what I mean? Like I just wish, yeah, sell things as a set. And maybe maybe that's contradict like maybe that doesn't make sense, you know. In terms of a set, you know, you're buying it as a set because you don't want to have inventory less and so than other, but I don't know. They just gotta figure that out because the theory and the concept is great. Yes, set. I want it to come together, but I want to be able to choose my size for the top and choose my size for the bottom because maybe it just doesn't necessarily always align. Like I like things to fit differently, depending on what the item of clothing is, okay. And yeah, it's just really frustrating because I see so many cute sets and I'm like, ooh, perfect. I'm like, ooh, what a steal. Like, that's such a great price. well, I have to commit to just like one size. And that's really weak for me. That's really weak. And I just I'm curious, like, does anybody else feel like that? Do you come across that? I I don't know. I don't know. I feel like I'm the only one who's expressed that they have this grievance towards it, but But yeah, so that is my chic and week of the week. Thanks for listening to the drama drop, you guys.
