62. Haunted Hikes: Anza-Borrego Sandman & Black Star Canyon
HAPPY OCTOBER!!!
We both ended up researching infamous Southern California hiking trails this week.
Jerry kicks off in the desert with the legend of the Anza-Borrego Sandman—a towering Bigfoot-like cryptid said to have stalked the desert wash for over a century. Then, Brian heads over to Orange County's infamous Black Star Canyon. Beyond its tragic historical background and the 1899 murder of James Gregg, we dive into bizarre reports of local gnomes, shadow figures, and notoriously aggressive landowners warning hikers away.
Amigos, what haunted you this week?
