Archdiocese Confirms Abuse by Former Teacher | Kansas City News
The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas has confirmed a credible allegation of sexual abuse by James Zimmer, a former teacher at Bishop Miege High School, who worked there from 1969 to 1984. Though Zimmer also taught at Rockhurst High School from 1987 to 1993 without any reported misconduct, the Archdiocese is now urging anyone with information or who was harmed to come forward. Zimmer passed away in 2000, but the Archdiocese remains committed to accountability, healing, and transparency — and has provided a dedicated hotline for survivors.
