- 1:29Speaker 2: you in. It is that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot
- 1:32Speaker 2: Com online for any of the resources that we have
- 1:35Speaker 2: including my brilliant and always on point monologues that I
- 1:40Speaker 2: know you wait for at the at the top of
- 1:42Speaker 2: every hour. I know every time I come to the
- 1:45Speaker 2: microphone that at some point someone's saying, I wonder what
- 1:48Speaker 2: Kev's going to talk about today? I know, I know
- 1:53Speaker 2: you do. I know it's I know you. You wait
- 1:54Speaker 2: with baited breath just to see what's he gonna and
- 1:57Speaker 2: you're probably gonna be equally impressed with today's You know,
- 2:03Speaker 2: I'm kidding, right, I don't think this highly of myself,
- 2:07Speaker 2: but I am. I am a little bit. Frustrated is
- 2:11Speaker 2: not a good word. Surprised is a terrible word. I'm
- 2:13Speaker 2: not surprised by anything anymore. But you know, we have
- 2:16Speaker 2: all of these socialist, Marxist, Communist, Leninist, Stalinist candidates running
- 2:23Speaker 2: for all of these these races everywhere, and in Wisconsin
- 2:29Speaker 2: you have a governor's race right now that has a
- 2:34Speaker 2: Democratic Socialist who is leading in the polls for her
- 2:38Speaker 2: party's nomination for Wisconsin governor. Now that doesn't mean she's
- 2:43Speaker 2: leading in the overall poll for the state, but in
- 2:46Speaker 2: the in the Democratic primary, she's she's winning there for
- 2:49Speaker 2: right now, and she recently said something very interesting. She
- 2:55Speaker 2: appeared on the Source with Caitlin Collins. Aitln Collins on
- 3:01Speaker 2: CNN is the one that has that very dreadful stare.
- 3:05Speaker 2: She just stares at you. She glares at you, and
- 3:12Speaker 2: she had made the candidate, Francesca Hong, it's her name,
- 3:21Speaker 2: she's Asian American, had sput up a previous social post
- 3:25Speaker 2: which she suggested that Americans should cancel their celebrations of Thanksgiving. Now,
- 3:33Speaker 2: there's a lot of things that Americans could cancel that
- 3:35Speaker 2: I think would be beneficial. I wouldn't shed a single
- 3:40Speaker 2: tear drop if we canceled Halloween. It wouldn't bother me
- 3:44Speaker 2: in the least. There are other there are other holidays
- 3:54Speaker 2: that we could cancel that I would be You know,
- 3:56Speaker 2: I don't want to cancel Memorial Day because I want
- 3:59Speaker 2: to honor those who who gave the last full measure
- 4:02Speaker 2: of devotion. But Labor Day? Do I need to celebrate
- 4:05Speaker 2: the fact that I already know that I work hard? Yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 2: I celebrate that every day, bringing home a paycheck and
- 4:12Speaker 2: feeding my family. That's that's a celebration of how hard
- 4:16Speaker 2: I work. So is Labor Day necessary? You know? Do
- 4:22Speaker 2: we do we have to celebrate the birthdays of the presidents?
- 4:25Speaker 2: Do we do we need a Valentine's Day? Not all
- 4:28Speaker 2: of these are actual days you take off, but in
- 4:30Speaker 2: terms of what you celebrate. I'm very, very weirded out
- 4:35Speaker 2: by the fact that somebody who wants to be a
- 4:37Speaker 2: governor of a major state believes that you should cancel
- 4:44Speaker 2: the celebration of Thanksgiving. Here's what she actually said when
- 4:48Speaker 2: asked by Caitlin Collins the eternal glare. When she was
- 4:54Speaker 2: asked by Caitlyn Collins, do you still want to cancel Thanksgiving?
- 4:59Speaker 2: And she said, I'm a chef and one of the
- 5:01Speaker 2: first meals that I made that was for the community
- 5:05Speaker 2: when I was sixteen years old, was a Thanksgiving meal.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Hong said, I think my hospitality background in owning a
- 5:12Speaker 2: restaurant for seven eight years, that bringing folks around the
- 5:15Speaker 2: table to share conversation and build community is always a
- 5:17Speaker 2: good thing. Did she answer the question? Let's play a
- 5:21Speaker 2: little game.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Ding ding ding ding, ding ding ding.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Does the candidate answer the question? The question from Caitlin
- 5:30Speaker 2: Collins was glaring the entire time she's asking it. Do
- 5:35Speaker 2: you believe Americans should cancel their celebrations of Thanksgiving? And
- 5:41Speaker 2: the candidate says, I'm a chef and the first meal
- 5:44Speaker 2: I made for the community when I was sixteen was
- 5:46Speaker 2: the Thanksgiving meal. And I think my hospitality background in
- 5:50Speaker 2: owning a restaurant, bringing folks together to share conversation and
- 5:54Speaker 2: build community is always a good thing. That she didn't
- 5:59Speaker 2: answer it at all. Then she goes on to say,
- 6:04Speaker 2: but Thanksgiving is also a time that is incredibly painful
- 6:07Speaker 2: for many people in our communities. But all that thought,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I got to come back to that one, and so
- 6:17Speaker 2: I think there I want to make sure that people
- 6:20Speaker 2: understood that there are multiple views, but views can evolve,
- 6:25Speaker 2: and the position that I'm running for right now, I
- 6:27Speaker 2: think my background as a chef will actually help me
- 6:29Speaker 2: become a better governor that's able to bring more people
- 6:31Speaker 2: to the table. She concluded with a non ironic wink,
- 6:35Speaker 2: wink wink. So she does answer the question. She thinks
- 6:41Speaker 2: that Thanksgiving is a time of incredible pain for many
- 6:45Speaker 2: of the people in her community. She thinks, let's follow
- 6:50Speaker 2: the logic through on this. She believes that Thanksgiving is
- 6:56Speaker 2: a time of pain for people in her community. She's
- 7:01Speaker 2: Asian American. What community is she talking about? Wisconsin? Thanksgiving?
- 7:13Speaker 2: To me on my calendar of holidays, is the purest
- 7:19Speaker 2: holiday that we have, because in its purity, it says
- 7:25Speaker 2: to us, give thanks for the blessings that you have,
- 7:31Speaker 2: especially the ones you do not deserve. And it doesn't
- 7:37Speaker 2: matter who we are. It doesn't matter if we're descendants
- 7:42Speaker 2: of slaves or Native Americans or people that came over
- 7:46Speaker 2: in the crushes of immigration from Ireland and Italy. Doesn't
- 7:52Speaker 2: matter if our lineage is from Europe or the Middle East,
- 7:56Speaker 2: or South Asia, or Africa or Far Asia, the Far East,
- 8:03Speaker 2: the Soviet Block, the non communist countries. Now, it does
- 8:07Speaker 2: not matter where your origin comes from. There is nothing
- 8:11Speaker 2: about thanksgiving, the establishment of a day of giving thanks.
- 8:17Speaker 2: There's nothing about this holiday that in any way shapes
- 8:22Speaker 2: pain for the people that observe it. The entire focus
- 8:27Speaker 2: of the day is for you, in your life where
- 8:32Speaker 2: you are right now, to take an assessment of what
- 8:37Speaker 2: you have, to find that in your assessment what you
- 8:42Speaker 2: are grateful for, and to express to God thanks for
- 8:46Speaker 2: it being that way, for him giving it to you,
- 8:49Speaker 2: for the year being better than the year before, or
- 8:54Speaker 2: any number of observations that you could make about your life.
- 9:01Speaker 2: My friend Jim Simbola over at Brooklyn Tabernacle every Sunday.
- 9:06Speaker 2: He makes it a point to encourage the people at
- 9:09Speaker 2: b tab do some inventory, give thanks for something in
- 9:14Speaker 2: your life that God did this week that was amazing.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And he's not pastoring a church of a bunch of
- 9:21Speaker 2: Elon Musk's and you know, uber billionaires. Half of his
- 9:26Speaker 2: congregation takes public transportation just to get to the campus.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Friend Banning Thanksgiving, canceling Thanksgiving is one of the worst
- 9:37Speaker 2: moral things a public servant could call for. And that
- 9:42Speaker 2: she's running for office on that man, that's messed up.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough coming right back.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Here, he is from New York. Kevin McCulloch.
- 10:16Speaker 2: All right, welcome back, Kevin McCullough. Glad to have you
- 10:19Speaker 2: with us. Starting to feel a little more in the groove.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It's amazing how quickly when you get away from the routine,
- 10:26Speaker 2: it is easy to forget just all the little things.
- 10:30Speaker 2: But that's what yesterday was for today we're supposed to
- 10:32Speaker 2: be kind of back on target. Kevin McCulloch, Glad to
- 10:34Speaker 2: have you with us this part of the show. Every
- 10:36Speaker 2: day I like to stop and ask the big question,
- 10:40Speaker 2: why do we do what we do? How do we live?
- 10:43Speaker 2: In light of that? Why if a culture despises God,
- 10:48Speaker 2: distrusts his word, looks at his followers as though there's
- 10:52Speaker 2: something wrong with them, does that change our mission? I
- 10:56Speaker 2: would argue that it doesn't. It's seemed more important that
- 10:59Speaker 2: we stay faithful to it. But there are moments of
- 11:02Speaker 2: fear and anxiety, and even amongst those who believe, fear
- 11:07Speaker 2: and anxiety is something that can easily overtake us. Regularly,
- 11:11Speaker 2: Ryan Batesl's back with us from Emergence Church in New Jersey.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Emergence Dot Church is where you find all the things
- 11:18Speaker 2: related to what we're talking about this week, and you
- 11:20Speaker 2: might recognize Ryan's cheerful voice. He was the very first
- 11:24Speaker 2: pastor that we had on how do we Live? And
- 11:27Speaker 2: he continues to come back a few times each year,
- 11:29Speaker 2: and we're grateful for that. Ryan. This is coming from
- 11:34Speaker 2: a chapter that you preached on not long ago, Psalm
- 11:36Speaker 2: twenty seven. You were doing a series on worship, and
- 11:40Speaker 2: the part that we looked at yesterday is the reminder
- 11:42Speaker 2: that we don't have to do fear if we're believers.
- 11:45Speaker 2: The Lord is our light and salvation, and so even
- 11:48Speaker 2: if the enemy gets really intense about their opposition to
- 11:52Speaker 2: us building camps, telling us they want to eat our
- 11:55Speaker 2: flesh off our bones. I mean, it's not the writer
- 11:59Speaker 2: doesn't like, really spare any imagery here. He goes for it.
- 12:02Speaker 6: No, he doesn't waste he doesn't waste images.
- 12:06Speaker 2: But he turns a really interesting corner in verse four
- 12:09Speaker 2: where does he go.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, it is amazing. And I think one one
- 12:15Speaker 6: piece of clarification, because this always comes up whenever we
- 12:18Speaker 6: talk about fear, right, I like to think of it as, Hey,
- 12:23Speaker 6: there's a difference between a moment where you're startled, right,
- 12:26Speaker 6: Like all of us get hit by waves of fear
- 12:28Speaker 6: in life, and that can actually be a good thing. Like,
- 12:32Speaker 6: you know, a wave of fear startled can keep us alive.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You know.
- 12:37Speaker 6: If there's a brown bear in the woods and you're like, well,
- 12:39Speaker 6: I don't do fear, well that's just dumb.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You should run, right or.
- 12:44Speaker 6: I don't know the exact protocol. I'm not going to
- 12:46Speaker 6: say you should run because someone might say that's how
- 12:47Speaker 6: you get eat But whatever you should do to try
- 12:49Speaker 6: not to get eaten, that's what you should do if
- 12:51Speaker 6: you come across a brown bear. So fear that idea
- 12:56Speaker 6: of fear is actually a gift to let us get safe,
- 12:59Speaker 6: right that the moment of startle. And then I think
- 13:02Speaker 6: one of the beautiful things when we get startled a
- 13:04Speaker 6: wave of fear comes in, is well, then we can
- 13:07Speaker 6: be courageous encourages When I'm scared, I still want to
- 13:11Speaker 6: honor the Lord and do the right thing by what
- 13:13Speaker 6: he says. So those are two good gifts from that emotion.
- 13:17Speaker 6: One for our safety too, to allow us to be strong,
- 13:21Speaker 6: courageous and trust the Lord. There would be no such
- 13:24Speaker 6: thing as courage if there were no waves of fear.
- 13:28Speaker 6: The issue becomes when those waves that hit and well,
- 13:32Speaker 6: you know, I got three kids going to college. When
- 13:34Speaker 6: that bill comes in, it's a wave of fear. The
- 13:38Speaker 6: difference of the wave of fear versus a spirit of
- 13:42Speaker 6: fear is the waters we live in are fear and anxiety.
- 13:46Speaker 6: And I just believe the Bible calls that sin because
- 13:49Speaker 6: it's not seeing God as he is. And so we
- 13:52Speaker 6: talked yesterday about, hey, he's with us. Here's what I
- 13:55Speaker 6: love because if it peels back the curtain, and this
- 13:57Speaker 6: is what you're getting at Kevin in verse four of
- 14:01Speaker 6: how did he get that heart? And right there we
- 14:05Speaker 6: see David, go, hey, there's one thing I ask to see,
- 14:10Speaker 6: the beauty of the Lord, to be in the house
- 14:12Speaker 6: of the Lord. And it's just such a wonderful verse
- 14:17Speaker 6: because I think for a lot of for a lot
- 14:20Speaker 6: of Christians, right, and for a lot of people, they
- 14:25Speaker 6: want to go to God because they see him as Hey,
- 14:27Speaker 6: God will be useful, right. God might be useful for
- 14:32Speaker 6: me to have a good marriage. God might be useful
- 14:34Speaker 6: for me to be a good father. God might be
- 14:36Speaker 6: useful for me to be a good employee. And honestly
- 14:40Speaker 6: he will right. The danger, though, is if you live
- 14:46Speaker 6: like that, where God is only useful gets you the
- 14:48Speaker 6: thing that you think is ultimately beautiful. And I would
- 14:52Speaker 6: argue you will forever be anxious because because you can
- 14:57Speaker 6: still you still will ultimately lose the thing you think
- 15:01Speaker 6: is most beautiful.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Is there a message in that repetitive theme in those
- 15:04Speaker 2: two verses.
- 15:06Speaker 6: No, there certainly is, Kevin. I'm glad you're saying it right,
- 15:09Speaker 6: because there are certain things as a pastor, when you
- 15:12Speaker 6: preach on them, it sounds a little self serving. We'll
- 15:16Speaker 6: go to church, you know, be generous, right, like these
- 15:19Speaker 6: things people are like, well, we know what, but actually
- 15:22Speaker 6: they're biblically true. There is Man, I know my life.
- 15:27Speaker 6: There are the moments where I've gone through incredibly hard
- 15:30Speaker 6: things and I knew that I just needed to be
- 15:35Speaker 6: in the presence of some other Christians. I needed to
- 15:38Speaker 6: be in worship, I needed to sit under the teaching
- 15:42Speaker 6: of God's word. I needed those things. And you know,
- 15:47Speaker 6: you and I probably lived long enough to see people
- 15:50Speaker 6: who go through hard things and rather run to the
- 15:54Speaker 6: assembly of believers, the gathering of the church, they run
- 15:58Speaker 6: from it. And it's like, man, now you've just created
- 16:03Speaker 6: two disasters. You know you already had the one you
- 16:06Speaker 6: were walking through that God could use to make you mature,
- 16:09Speaker 6: but you're going to create this whole other mountain you
- 16:11Speaker 6: got to climb by getting away from the great physician,
- 16:14Speaker 6: the one who can heal you. And one of the
- 16:16Speaker 6: ways God chooses to heal us is through corporate worship,
- 16:20Speaker 6: by being with those people. And I'm just saying, if
- 16:23Speaker 6: you don't have that, you're not doing well. You can
- 16:25Speaker 6: get mad about that. You can listen in your car
- 16:27Speaker 6: and yell at me. But I know the way God
- 16:31Speaker 6: made us, He's forming not just individuals for salvation He's
- 16:36Speaker 6: making a people for his glory, and part of being
- 16:40Speaker 6: that is gathering in a local church's expression of that
- 16:43Speaker 6: on earth.
- 16:44Speaker 2: When I was a much younger man, and I don't
- 16:46Speaker 2: know that I've told the story in all of my
- 16:49Speaker 2: years on radio. I don't know that I've ever told
- 16:51Speaker 2: the story. But I was when I was much younger.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I was right out of Bible college, early, married too early,
- 17:01Speaker 2: too foolishly, a little lacking in wisdom in terms of life.
- 17:08Speaker 2: After about six years, the woman I was married to
- 17:11Speaker 2: at the time realized I was lacking in judgment and
- 17:16Speaker 2: experience and giving her the things that she wanted in
- 17:18Speaker 2: terms of a lifestyle, and basically more or less abandoned
- 17:25Speaker 2: me and what I was doing. And as a as
- 17:27Speaker 2: a in the city that I was in, the profile
- 17:30Speaker 2: that I had within the Christian community. That was a
- 17:32Speaker 2: that was a really hard thing to go through. It
- 17:36Speaker 2: was punitively painful in so many ways. And I don't
- 17:43Speaker 2: say this to make myself appear to be super spiritual
- 17:47Speaker 2: or anything. I cursed at God. I got angry. I
- 17:52Speaker 2: went to my pastor's house and I cursed at him.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I said, how why can this be possible? Because it
- 18:00Speaker 2: doesn't just affect me emotionally. It just didn't affect my
- 18:03Speaker 2: circle of friends and the people that I knew. It
- 18:05Speaker 2: affected my ability to earn a living, my ability to
- 18:10Speaker 2: be on a Christian radio station at the time, my
- 18:12Speaker 2: ability to speak publicly about my faith. There were so
- 18:15Speaker 2: many things that it handicapped and I did have to
- 18:20Speaker 2: work through this. And what's going to happen to me?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Will the Lord be my light in my salvation? What
- 18:25Speaker 2: about in this moment? Everything else that I've been told
- 18:28Speaker 2: is kind of Sunday School compared to this. Now, God,
- 18:30Speaker 2: can you do this? And I didn't tell anybody that
- 18:35Speaker 2: I was doing it, but I started going to a
- 18:37Speaker 2: different church in the middle of the week. They had
- 18:39Speaker 2: services on Wednesday and Thursday night that were really for believers.
- 18:43Speaker 2: They kind of used their weekend services to talk to
- 18:46Speaker 2: non believers, but they had these extended hours, almost full
- 18:51Speaker 2: hours of worship before the message on Wednesday and Thursday night.
- 18:56Speaker 2: And I will just say that that being anonymous, going
- 19:02Speaker 2: and sitting in the midst of a thousand people that
- 19:04Speaker 2: didn't know who I was and wasn't familiar with my situation,
- 19:08Speaker 2: but just being with them, worshiping with them, putting my
- 19:15Speaker 2: focus on God and ultimately what the good things were
- 19:20Speaker 2: that He had brought me. And not to undermine this,
- 19:23Speaker 2: but to reinforce it that he just so happened to
- 19:27Speaker 2: have a series of sermons lined up for me on
- 19:29Speaker 2: those weeks that I was at that other church that
- 19:31Speaker 2: just kind of, you know, hit the nail right on
- 19:34Speaker 2: the head. And I think about if I had not
- 19:38Speaker 2: if I had not gone, if I had not run
- 19:41Speaker 2: to the place, and it got to be an addictive thing. Ryan,
- 19:43Speaker 2: It's like I could not miss mid midweek church, like
- 19:46Speaker 2: I needed to be there. And you know, looking back
- 19:51Speaker 2: on that that was one hundred and fifty five years ago,
- 19:53Speaker 2: and to see the family that He's blessed me with
- 19:56Speaker 2: and the ways that it has all gone in a
- 19:59Speaker 2: completely different direction. But knowing that there was that beauty
- 20:04Speaker 2: in the House of the Lord, knowing that there was
- 20:05Speaker 2: this important interaction that I needed with him through that experience,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I see what this psalmist is saying here, and friends,
- 20:14Speaker 2: if you're listening and you're saying, hey, I'm smack in
- 20:17Speaker 2: the middle of it, you are my old pastor. Ray
- 20:19Speaker 2: Prichard says, all the time, you're in one of three
- 20:21Speaker 2: places you are in the middle of a crisis, you
- 20:24Speaker 2: have just come out of one, or get ready, brother,
- 20:27Speaker 2: you're about to enter one. And at some point in
- 20:29Speaker 2: life these things are going to come back to be
- 20:32Speaker 2: very practical. And Ryan, we've barely scratched the serface and
- 20:34Speaker 2: we're out of time, so we'll have to continue tomorrow.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Thank you as always.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Thanks you got it.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Kevin McCullough coming right back. Don't go anywhere, stick.
- 20:47Speaker 7: Around for more than Kevin next time.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Here he is from New York. Ken Kevin McCullough.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Welcome back, Times Square, Kevin McCullough, that Kevin Show, that
- 21:20Speaker 2: kevinshow dot com. We've even got these nifty mugs that
- 21:23Speaker 2: say it so and should check them out. I'm always
- 21:25Speaker 2: pleased to have really knowledgeable people on the show that
- 21:29Speaker 2: can advance the discussion beyond my mere opinion or frame
- 21:33Speaker 2: of reference. And Lieutenant Colonel Allen West is one of
- 21:36Speaker 2: those people that I always when he's talking in whatever
- 21:39Speaker 2: room he's in, I always like, get a lot more
- 21:41Speaker 2: quiet because I want to listen a lot more carefully.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You're kind of like my own personal ef hut.
- 21:44Speaker 3: And Colonel West, we're dating ourselves.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Well. Thanks for coming back. It's been a minute since
- 21:51Speaker 2: you've been with us, and there's so much I want
- 21:53Speaker 2: to talk to you about, starting with where we are
- 21:57Speaker 2: with Iran and what your feelings are about how maybe
- 22:01Speaker 2: what Trump is facing there is different than what Bush
- 22:04Speaker 2: faced in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in some ways no
- 22:08Speaker 2: president has really had the courage to try to take
- 22:10Speaker 2: it on, but it continues to be a little bit
- 22:12Speaker 2: of a foil for him.
- 22:13Speaker 8: Well, I will put it in a frame of reference.
- 22:15Speaker 8: I came on active duty on the thirtieth of October
- 22:18Speaker 8: nineteen eighty three. That was seven days after the Beiru
- 22:22Speaker 8: Barracks bombing of twenty third of October nineteen eighty three.
- 22:25Speaker 8: So Iran has always been there in my military career,
- 22:29Speaker 8: to include the trips that I had over to Iraq
- 22:32Speaker 8: and Afghanistan and dealing with those Iranian agents that were
- 22:36Speaker 8: there on the ground as well as some of those
- 22:38Speaker 8: explosive force penetrators very deadly ied. So when you look
- 22:43Speaker 8: at this nation that's been a thorn in the side
- 22:46Speaker 8: of America for going on fifty years, has been a
- 22:49Speaker 8: pariah in that region and the number one sponsor of
- 22:52Speaker 8: Islami terrorism, you have to tip your hat to President Trump.
- 22:56Speaker 8: Finally we have a president that's done something. But one
- 23:00Speaker 8: of the problems we have is that we're trying to
- 23:02Speaker 8: project our own perspective or our western rose colored glasses
- 23:07Speaker 8: on a totalitarian theocratic regime that everything about them is
- 23:12Speaker 8: rooted in their theocrisy, their belief that there's a return
- 23:16Speaker 8: of this hidden emm the Mahdi, the twelfth e mom
- 23:20Speaker 8: and so what they are pursuing is that global domination.
- 23:23Speaker 8: And what we have to realize is that they don't understand.
- 23:27Speaker 8: They don't see you sitting down and talking and coming
- 23:31Speaker 8: to resolutions day regard and respect, strength and might. You
- 23:34Speaker 8: have to give it to President Trump for trying to
- 23:36Speaker 8: show grace, but in the end, you have to do
- 23:38Speaker 8: everything possible to eliminate the existence of this regime, to
- 23:43Speaker 8: cut off its ability to hold that region hostage, and
- 23:47Speaker 8: also to make sure that we open up the flow
- 23:50Speaker 8: of resources and the straits there and horrormones and also
- 23:54Speaker 8: Bob Alamandab We've done great things tactically, I think strategically
- 23:58Speaker 8: we could do a lot better, but at least we
- 24:01Speaker 8: are taking Iran on.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Finally, do you think because at some point and even
- 24:06Speaker 2: in this last weekend where they said they wanted they
- 24:09Speaker 2: were begging for talks, and then he grants them, and
- 24:13Speaker 2: then they're like, we didn't ask for talks. Every time
- 24:16Speaker 2: they come out of like one of these cycles, and
- 24:18Speaker 2: we've now seen it five or six times in the
- 24:20Speaker 2: last few months, it seems like they come back with
- 24:23Speaker 2: some kinetic act activity, still trying to assert some degree
- 24:29Speaker 2: of force. I know that we have continued to take
- 24:33Speaker 2: out just about every launchpad that we are aware of,
- 24:36Speaker 2: and so forth. They're trying to project power that they're
- 24:39Speaker 2: still in charge of the straight upward moves, the President
- 24:41Speaker 2: saying clearly we are, and our blockade is really what
- 24:46Speaker 2: people answer to, or he called it the Wall of
- 24:48Speaker 2: Steel or something like that. Who's really winning the kinetic battle?
- 24:52Speaker 2: And from a military standpoint, do you think they have
- 24:55Speaker 2: many options left? What do they have left to shoot
- 24:58Speaker 2: back with?
- 24:59Speaker 8: Well, I think without a doubt that Iran is weakened,
- 25:02Speaker 8: but they're not defeated. And I believe that they do
- 25:05Speaker 8: still have some stockpile of ballistic missiles thanks to eighteen
- 25:08Speaker 8: billion dollars that was given to them because of the
- 25:11Speaker 8: Obama and also Bid administrations, which was Obama's third administration.
- 25:16Speaker 8: But when I look at this from a strategic perspective,
- 25:20Speaker 8: I think it's so important that we do what is
- 25:22Speaker 8: necessary to secure the straits of her Moves. Iran has
- 25:26Speaker 8: a very decentralized command and control system. I mean, you
- 25:30Speaker 8: can decapitate them at the head there in Tehran, but
- 25:33Speaker 8: the Iranan Revolutionary Guard Corps, they're the ones that are
- 25:36Speaker 8: operating kind of independently, and I think it's so important
- 25:39Speaker 8: that they're in the bondhar Abbas region and the Keshum
- 25:43Speaker 8: Island which is there around the Straits of Her Moves.
- 25:47Speaker 8: We should do what is necessary to seize that and
- 25:49Speaker 8: make sure that we eliminate any type of missile threat
- 25:52Speaker 8: and also a small boat naval threat that they still
- 25:56Speaker 8: may have. I think another thing that we need to
- 25:58Speaker 8: look at is carg Island. How we can make sure
- 26:00Speaker 8: that they do not have any means by which they
- 26:03Speaker 8: can have that revenue support or that old and natural
- 26:06Speaker 8: gas that keeps them propped up. That's how we can
- 26:09Speaker 8: continue to undermine them. I think it's also important that
- 26:12Speaker 8: old school go back to the leaflet drops, and because
- 26:16Speaker 8: we've got to win the information operation war.
- 26:19Speaker 2: How important is it to the Iranian mind that the
- 26:22Speaker 2: Saudis are willing to work with the Americans in kind
- 26:26Speaker 2: of joint kinetic activity.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Well, I think it's very important.
- 26:29Speaker 8: I think that it is important we want to see
- 26:31Speaker 8: a lasting piece and also economic prosperity in that Middle
- 26:35Speaker 8: East region that you see people such as Saudi Arabia
- 26:39Speaker 8: and the United Arab Emmers. And I have to give
- 26:41Speaker 8: a hat tip off to the UAE for taking themselves
- 26:45Speaker 8: out of Opek. I think that was a huge step
- 26:47Speaker 8: for them. But without a doubt, you need to see
- 26:50Speaker 8: more of these people aligning against Iran. I don't trust
- 26:52Speaker 8: Cutter one Ounce or Turkey because after Iran, they are
- 26:58Speaker 8: the number two and number three supporters of of Islamic terrorism.
- 27:01Speaker 8: So of anything, they will try to keep Iran propped
- 27:04Speaker 8: up or in the worst case scenario, just replace what
- 27:07Speaker 8: they are doing.
- 27:08Speaker 3: So I think it's really important.
- 27:10Speaker 8: That we get that buy in from those countries and
- 27:13Speaker 8: even Oman to be able to have them protect that
- 27:17Speaker 8: portion of the Straits of all moves that under their responsibility.
- 27:21Speaker 8: And that's why I think it's so important, Kevin, we
- 27:23Speaker 8: really need a national security advisor. I know that you
- 27:26Speaker 8: know everyone is saying that that is an additional responsibility
- 27:30Speaker 8: of Marco Rubio. That's not a position that you see
- 27:33Speaker 8: as a supplemental position, especially when you have a Secretary
- 27:37Speaker 8: of State that is a primary that's a cabinet level position.
- 27:40Speaker 8: But we need to have a national security advisor that
- 27:42Speaker 8: is really honed in on all of these issues.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Very interesting. Colonel Allen West is my guest. We've got
- 27:48Speaker 2: a lot more to discuss. Stay right here. It's that
- 27:51Speaker 2: Kevin Show.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Here he is from New York. That Kevin Kevin McCullough.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Welcome back. It's Times Square, It's Kevin McCullough. It's that
- 28:19Speaker 2: Kevin Show. Because McCullough was too hard to spell, we
- 28:22Speaker 2: just made it that Kevin Show. That kevinshow dot com
- 28:25Speaker 2: easy for you to find. And thank you for those
- 28:27Speaker 2: of you who go there, get the podcast. At the
- 28:29Speaker 2: columns every day, I'm pretty much published at town hall
- 28:33Speaker 2: dot com now and we have them all there for you.
- 28:35Speaker 2: So is my guest, Lieutenant Colonel Allen West. Maybe not daily,
- 28:38Speaker 2: but he's a regular featured columnist at town Hall, and
- 28:42Speaker 2: Colonel I always learned stuff from reading your columns and
- 28:45Speaker 2: I appreciate you doing it. I want to talk about
- 28:48Speaker 2: voter integrity, and I want to talk about what I
- 28:53Speaker 2: was kind of hoping would come out of the Supreme
- 28:55Speaker 2: Court they didn't, which was this idea that we could
- 28:58Speaker 2: define election day as day. I'm still hopeful that the
- 29:01Speaker 2: Save America Act has life, though it needs the smallest
- 29:06Speaker 2: lift it's been touted to need yet if you just
- 29:10Speaker 2: get a reconciliation bill passed, and also the fact that
- 29:14Speaker 2: we still have some significant primaries that are kind of
- 29:17Speaker 2: closing out the primary cycle. Here, we're going into the
- 29:20Speaker 2: tail end of summer, so you know, Labor Day, general
- 29:23Speaker 2: election is on, We're going to be ready to go.
- 29:26Speaker 2: What do you think, as a former prominent candidate, yourself
- 29:30Speaker 2: and so forth, how do you feel about where Republicans
- 29:33Speaker 2: are sitting right now when it comes to what they're
- 29:36Speaker 2: seeing in November and what needs to happen between now
- 29:38Speaker 2: and then.
- 29:39Speaker 8: Well, one of the things I want Republicans not do
- 29:42Speaker 8: is just take things for granted, and you know, continue
- 29:45Speaker 8: to say, with these guys over here, Marxist communists or whatever,
- 29:48Speaker 8: you have to be able to define that, and you
- 29:50Speaker 8: also have to be able to talk about what you're ford,
- 29:52Speaker 8: not just what you're against without a doubt I think
- 29:55Speaker 8: that you do see a little bit of a win
- 29:57Speaker 8: behind Republicans going into this election cycle, unlike what we
- 30:01Speaker 8: saw in President Trump's first term when he did lose
- 30:04Speaker 8: the House and the Senate that really put his agenda
- 30:06Speaker 8: on hole. But when you talked about to Save America Act,
- 30:10Speaker 8: I mean this is a critical thing. We've got Republicans
- 30:13Speaker 8: in charge in the Senate. They should stay there in Washington,
- 30:17Speaker 8: d c. And get this done.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Eighty to eighty.
- 30:19Speaker 8: One percent of Americans agree with people being able to
- 30:22Speaker 8: show a picture ID when they go to go to
- 30:26Speaker 8: vote or to run.
- 30:27Speaker 2: And that includes seventy five to eighty five percent of Democrats. Like,
- 30:31Speaker 2: we're not talking about just a Republican or right wing
- 30:34Speaker 2: pet project. This is a true American win for everybody.
- 30:38Speaker 8: Yes, And I think they need to get that across
- 30:40Speaker 8: the finish line to make sure and to say that
- 30:43Speaker 8: we are the party to stand for integrity in our
- 30:45Speaker 8: electoral process and our elections as opposed to what you
- 30:49Speaker 8: see from the other side. And that's one of the
- 30:51Speaker 8: reasons why they want tens of millions of people to
- 30:53Speaker 8: come into this country illegally, and of course they still
- 30:56Speaker 8: want open borders. So I think it's really important that
- 30:59Speaker 8: Republicans lay out their policy agenda, and they all have
- 31:03Speaker 8: to get on the same sheet of music. And if
- 31:05Speaker 8: there's one thing, Kevin, I've always said that the left
- 31:08Speaker 8: does very well.
- 31:09Speaker 3: They are like the board from Star Trek.
- 31:11Speaker 8: They all say the exact same thing at the exact
- 31:14Speaker 8: same time. When Mom Donnie talks about, you know, the
- 31:17Speaker 8: warmth of collectivism, they all hug together and they just you.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Know, kumbaya.
- 31:22Speaker 8: When Republicans can't get on that same sheet of music,
- 31:24Speaker 8: they have to be able to have that concerted message
- 31:27Speaker 8: going forth. I don't care about you know, this for America,
- 31:31Speaker 8: that for America, but just be able to talk to
- 31:34Speaker 8: the everyday American citizen about what is going on, safety
- 31:37Speaker 8: and security, economic policy making. Sure, don't let the Democrats
- 31:41Speaker 8: take this affordability word, because all that means they want
- 31:45Speaker 8: government control grocery stores, government control housing, cars, what have you.
- 31:50Speaker 8: That's that's not what the American people want.
- 31:52Speaker 2: There's some remnant of the Democratic Party that's paying attention
- 31:55Speaker 2: and understands that what this guy in Michigan and may
- 31:58Speaker 2: Or Mamdanni in New York and are offering our bad,
- 32:01Speaker 2: bad deals.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you're absolutely right.
- 32:03Speaker 8: But I will tell you that I think that when
- 32:06Speaker 8: you look at Schumer or some of these others, look,
- 32:09Speaker 8: they have always talked about open borders. They didn't say
- 32:12Speaker 8: anything when Joe Biden had the borders wide open and
- 32:16Speaker 8: was in the Alejandro Majorgus was coming up there and
- 32:19Speaker 8: saying the border was secure, they kept their mouth shut.
- 32:21Speaker 3: You can go back to two thousand.
- 32:22Speaker 8: And eight when Barack Obama talked about fundamentally transforming the
- 32:25Speaker 8: United States of America. I think that right now in
- 32:28Speaker 8: the Democratic Party, they're just upset because these people are
- 32:31Speaker 8: not covertly trying to be Marxists and socialists in communists.
- 32:35Speaker 8: They're overtly coming out and saying it, and they're going
- 32:38Speaker 8: out and winning in these primaries. But I think that
- 32:42Speaker 8: what is happening is that you see people that are saying,
- 32:45Speaker 8: in the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of our nation,
- 32:49Speaker 8: we have people that are running on destroying our nation,
- 32:52Speaker 8: that hate our nation, undermining our constitution, Article one, Article two,
- 32:56Speaker 8: Article three.
- 32:57Speaker 3: All of these things.
- 32:59Speaker 8: So I think that that is what so many people
- 33:01Speaker 8: to include, you know, soft democrats. You still have some
- 33:05Speaker 8: conservative blue dog Democrats out there. Definitely, independence, we're saying
- 33:08Speaker 8: we don't want to have a part of this, not
- 33:11Speaker 8: in this celebratory year for our nation. So I think
- 33:14Speaker 8: that's the conundrum that you see happening. And the fact that,
- 33:18Speaker 8: you know, the Democrat party itself has allowed the DSA
- 33:21Speaker 8: to come in and be a parasite within their party
- 33:24Speaker 8: and leverage their resources to be in their primaries and winning,
- 33:28Speaker 8: that's something that is tearing them apart.
- 33:30Speaker 2: But Colonel, if you don't stand for anything, what difference
- 33:32Speaker 2: does it make if they come in and disagree with
- 33:34Speaker 2: you on a few items. I mean, that's kind of
- 33:36Speaker 2: been like, it's really interesting because my kids are all
- 33:39Speaker 2: getting to the age now where they're starting to connect
- 33:41Speaker 2: dots and they're starting to ask questions about public policy
- 33:44Speaker 2: and our faith is a Christian family and so forth,
- 33:46Speaker 2: And you know, my sixteen year old few weeks back goes, huh.
- 33:51Speaker 2: So the party that doesn't believe that the Imago day
- 33:54Speaker 2: is stamped on the human cell and that the God
- 33:57Speaker 2: didn't create you know, the human people, they're the ones
- 33:59Speaker 2: that are okay with you know, transifying kids and chopping
- 34:03Speaker 2: off body parts and doing all this stuff. For clear minded,
- 34:07Speaker 2: logical people, the connection is easy if you live and
- 34:11Speaker 2: lead a godless existence. You're gonna stand for whatever pleases
- 34:16Speaker 2: you and makes you happy, and you know, drives everybody
- 34:19Speaker 2: else into the ground because you don't care. It's the
- 34:22Speaker 2: challenge is that the founders, as we've had a chance
- 34:25Speaker 2: to highlight kind of for the public this year, actually
- 34:27Speaker 2: cared about God and what he had to say about
- 34:30Speaker 2: human beings and life and what we do from there.
- 34:33Speaker 2: And so it's when the war's not going great, the
- 34:37Speaker 2: gas pumps don't look good, I'm still hopeful that they're
- 34:41Speaker 2: in such a disarray on the other side that I
- 34:43Speaker 2: feel like I could write the commercials, but I hope
- 34:46Speaker 2: that the people on our site could get out and
- 34:48Speaker 2: campaign with the vigor that they need to because we
- 34:50Speaker 2: really are within just a few votes of losing the nation.
- 34:53Speaker 8: In larger sense, You're absolutely right, and I think that
- 34:56Speaker 8: when you talk about writing a commercial, and first of all,
- 34:59Speaker 8: people have to get out to vote. I mean, you know,
- 35:02Speaker 8: Christians are not very good at getting out to vote,
- 35:04Speaker 8: even veterans and even some gunnowners and hunters I mean
- 35:07Speaker 8: Ted Crew, I mean Ted NuGen is very big on that.
- 35:10Speaker 3: But if I would take one.
- 35:12Speaker 8: Quote to make a commercial advertisement is that quote from
- 35:15Speaker 8: Zoramam Donnie's innaugural speech when he said, We'll replace the
- 35:19Speaker 8: frigidity of rugged individualism.
- 35:21Speaker 3: With's the warmth of collectivism.
- 35:23Speaker 8: And I would just go and have a commercial that
- 35:26Speaker 8: shows the rugged individualism of Americans over the past two
- 35:30Speaker 8: hundred and fifty years and to remind people about who
- 35:33Speaker 8: we are and what we stand for.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Teddy Roosevelt versus Lennon, I think Teddy wins every.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I think Teddy wins absolutely.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Colonel out of time, So good to see you.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Thanks for coming back, my pleasure, Thanks for having me.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Keny, got it. Kevin mccullach, coming right back.
- 35:46Speaker 9: Don't go anywhere, stick around for more of that, Kevin next,
- 36:02Speaker 9: serving it up with a no drink mental.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It's that the show, all right. Kevin McCollough, welcome back.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Have you ever had a boss that you just really
- 36:15Speaker 2: did enjoy working for and you wanted to spare anybody
- 36:19Speaker 2: else from ever having the same dilemma or problem that
- 36:23Speaker 2: that that experience was for you? Well, on Capitol Hill,
- 36:28Speaker 2: and I'm just looking at this, there's a new app
- 36:31Speaker 2: that Capitol Hill staffers, which are typically young people that
- 36:36Speaker 2: are fresh out of college. They're just getting started. They're
- 36:39Speaker 2: trying to work for you know, senators and congressmen and
- 36:42Speaker 2: get some experience so that they can, you know, pursue
- 36:45Speaker 2: a life of their own in public policy. But they
- 36:49Speaker 2: normally in the past have just relied on like private
- 36:52Speaker 2: conversations about Hey, did you work for Senator so and
- 36:54Speaker 2: so and yeah he always had bad breath or he
- 36:57Speaker 2: got handsy with the girls, or you know whatever, whatever
- 37:00Speaker 2: it is that they're trying to find out from the
- 37:02Speaker 2: staff members before they go and apply for jobs. For
- 37:05Speaker 2: these people, well, evidently there's this new app called Capital
- 37:09Speaker 2: cnct Connect I guess is how you pronounce it, and
- 37:14Speaker 2: Capital Connect is a program designed to centralize resources for
- 37:18Speaker 2: congressional staffers, and it launched in July a new tool
- 37:22Speaker 2: called the Scoop, where verified staffers can share anonymous, but
- 37:27Speaker 2: verified reviews of the offices where they're employed. Former staffer
- 37:32Speaker 2: David Tennant telling Fox News that the Scoop helps to
- 37:37Speaker 2: modernize the experience for young people working in congressional offices.
- 37:40Speaker 2: He said the idea of new ranking system emerged due
- 37:43Speaker 2: to growing frustration with the number of bad bosses and
- 37:47Speaker 2: toxic offices in the halls of Congress. If you ever
- 37:50Speaker 2: saw anything written about Kamala Harris, you saw that everybody
- 37:55Speaker 2: that worked for her who just hated it. They said
- 37:58Speaker 2: she was terrible. She burned people out, like she'd go
- 38:01Speaker 2: through staffers faster than you know. My uncle could go
- 38:05Speaker 2: through a plate of pancakes at Denny's like he was
- 38:07Speaker 2: and he could do that pretty quick. It was. It
- 38:10Speaker 2: was disturbing to see. Well, now they have this tool
- 38:14Speaker 2: that's going to hopefully help them avoid that. So my question,
- 38:17Speaker 2: what do you do for the offices that have really
- 38:20Speaker 2: bad reviews? How do you how do you get people
- 38:22Speaker 2: working for them? How do you hire staffers for them?
- 38:25Speaker 2: Maybe it'll help create better behavior. Now, if I could
- 38:28Speaker 2: just come up with an app for my kids that
- 38:30Speaker 2: could do the same, we'll see. Speaking of apps, looking
- 38:34Speaker 2: for entertainment that the whole family can actually agree on, Well,
- 38:37Speaker 2: let me tell you about Eckl e kkl dot com.
- 38:41Speaker 2: The stars of Duck Dynasty Willie and Corey Robertson, teamed
- 38:44Speaker 2: up with ekel to create a brand new, one of
- 38:46Speaker 2: a kind streaming platform built around faith and family. And
- 38:49Speaker 2: they didn't just lend their name to it, they actually
- 38:52Speaker 2: helped build it. So they said, here let's give you
- 38:54Speaker 2: some ideas of what you should put in it. So
- 38:57Speaker 2: it's got movies, it's got series that you want to

- 42:03Speaker 1: That is not who he used to be.
- 42:05Speaker 10: Here, all right, Kevin mccallaugh, glad to have you with us,
- 42:15Speaker 10: Just so that I'm perfectly clear and on the record.
- 42:18Speaker 2: I love Thanksgiving. I want Thanksgiving to never be canceled,
- 42:21Speaker 2: and I will cancel any public politician that tries to
- 42:24Speaker 2: cancel Thanksgiving. If you're not thankful, you have no business
- 42:28Speaker 2: serving the public. That's just the bottom line of that
- 42:32Speaker 2: right there. That's just silliness. If you don't know what
- 42:34Speaker 2: I'm talking about, go back and listen to the monologue,
- 42:37Speaker 2: the brilliant spot on monologue from the first hour today.
- 42:40Speaker 2: You got to check it out. Kevin McCall is my name,
- 42:43Speaker 2: how you doing. Glad you're here. It's a Tuesday. We've
- 42:45Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. Yesterday, former All Pro
- 42:52Speaker 2: Super Bowl winning MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers made some statements
- 43:00Speaker 2: on ESPN that got people a little hot and bothered
- 43:03Speaker 2: under the collar. I'll tell you about it in just
- 43:05Speaker 2: a second, but first I want to tell you that
- 43:08Speaker 2: if you have noticed, as I have, that your insurance
- 43:12Speaker 2: bill has gotten outrageous, that health insurance prices have risen
- 43:19Speaker 2: to levels you've never seen them before over the last
- 43:22Speaker 2: several years. I just watched ours skyrocket in my family,
- 43:26Speaker 2: and I got to tell you it worried me because
- 43:28Speaker 2: I couldn't afford to keep paying more and more and
- 43:31Speaker 2: getting less and less coverage. And when I found DFW
- 43:35Speaker 2: Direct Insurance, I got to tell you I was blown away.
- 43:38Speaker 2: First of all, they did something I didn't think anybody
- 43:41Speaker 2: could do. They expanded our coverage. We have a family
- 43:44Speaker 2: of five, three teenagers, two adults, lots of activities, and
- 43:53Speaker 2: they covered all five of us and gave us more coverage.
- 43:59Speaker 2: So things that weren't covered under our former medical sharing plan,
- 44:05Speaker 2: things that weren't covered there are now covered and with
- 44:11Speaker 2: limited payouts and everything else, for the for the for
- 44:14Speaker 2: the providers they're they're able to in the plan that
- 44:18Speaker 2: I have keep costs very low. He saved us. Listen
- 44:23Speaker 2: to this, Victor Pritchart. Vic Pritchard at DFW Direct Insurance
- 44:28Speaker 2: helped me save four hundred dollars a month on the
- 44:33Speaker 2: coverage of my family. That's nearly five thousand dollars per
- 44:39Speaker 2: year in savings for my health insurance for my family.
- 44:42Speaker 2: And because I run my own small business, I have
- 44:45Speaker 2: to pay all this out of pocket. It's crazy how
- 44:48Speaker 2: much they helped us. There just isn't any other insurance
- 44:51Speaker 2: company or advertiser like them in terms of what I've
- 44:54Speaker 2: ever been able to see. They take a very special
- 44:57Speaker 2: interest in each consumer. Uh Vic spent an hour with
- 45:02Speaker 2: me on the phone going through what our needs were,
- 45:04Speaker 2: doing an inventory matching it with one of his twenty
- 45:08Speaker 2: three different providers. So you know he's not beholding to
- 45:10Speaker 2: just one group that's you know, trying to get him
- 45:13Speaker 2: to sell all their products. No, he has access to
- 45:15Speaker 2: twenty three whole companies that have dozens of options within
- 45:19Speaker 2: each company. So if you're self employed, if you have
- 45:25Speaker 2: a small business, or you're just paying too much for
- 45:27Speaker 2: the Insurance that you have call VIC. Call DFW Direct
- 45:33Speaker 2: Insurance right now. Vic owns them, has been their only owner,
- 45:37Speaker 2: only only proprietor. And I asked him, I said, Vic,
- 45:42Speaker 2: part of the part of the magic in our situation
- 45:45Speaker 2: was you working with me directly. Do you mind if
- 45:47Speaker 2: I give my listeners your personal cell phone number? And
- 45:51Speaker 2: he said, keV, please do so. You can call Vic
- 45:55Speaker 2: Pritchard right now and he'll get you a quote within
- 45:58Speaker 2: a few minutes of just talking to you. Eight one seven,
- 46:02Speaker 2: four four, nine, five, five, five seven. Take that quote
- 46:05Speaker 2: compared to what you're paying currently and see if you
- 46:07Speaker 2: don't come out ahead. Eight one seven, four four nine,
- 46:11Speaker 2: five five five seven, eight one seven, four four nine
- 46:14Speaker 2: fifty five fifty seven eight one seven, four four nine
- 46:17Speaker 2: fifty five fifty seven eight one seven, four, four, nine, five,
- 46:20Speaker 2: five five seven. And tell Vic that Kevin told you
- 46:24Speaker 2: to call and ask him about his day. Say hey,
- 46:27Speaker 2: how's your day going? Kevin wants to know when you call.
- 46:31Speaker 2: All right, So, yesterday, all Pro Super Bowl Champion, all
- 46:40Speaker 2: time great quarterback Aaron Rodgers did a segment on ESPN,
- 46:45Speaker 2: and he got people really worked up on both sides
- 46:49Speaker 2: of the Anthony Fauci debate. People got angry at ESPN
- 46:54Speaker 2: for allowing Rogers on the air at all, others because
- 46:58Speaker 2: he was steered away from discussing the Diana Russini and
- 47:01Speaker 2: Mike Brabel scandal on air. Some people defended him for
- 47:06Speaker 2: calling out Fauci for pleading the fifth one hundred and
- 47:08Speaker 2: eleven times during recent Senate hearings, and others attacked him
- 47:13Speaker 2: for lying about his COVID nineteen vaccine status or otherwise
- 47:16Speaker 2: just not agreeing with their viewpoint. The segment happened on
- 47:20Speaker 2: the Pat McAfee Show, and the issue became so fiery
- 47:25Speaker 2: on social media that the Steelers ended up having to
- 47:28Speaker 2: address the situation publicly. The club is defending Rogers in
- 47:33Speaker 2: his right to voice his opinion. This is what Bert Laughton,
- 47:37Speaker 2: Steeler spokesman said in a statement to the media. Discussions
- 47:40Speaker 2: around culture and politics can bring different perspectives, and our
- 47:43Speaker 2: players are entitled to their own personal views. Wow. Love that.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Thank you Pittsburgh Steelers for letting your quarterback have his
- 47:50Speaker 2: own opinion. He went on to say, with respect to that,
- 47:54Speaker 2: I'm certain there are a variety of opinions on many
- 47:56Speaker 2: topics within our locker room. It appears the Steelers believe
- 48:00Speaker 2: that people, including their players, have a right to their
- 48:02Speaker 2: own opinions. Imagine that as if the Steelers are located
- 48:05Speaker 2: in America or something and have read the US Constitution.
- 48:09Speaker 2: But it's crazy how small minded the people have gotten
- 48:16Speaker 2: that were so adamant about the jab, about Fauci, about
- 48:24Speaker 2: all this stuff, that there's still adamant now that you're
- 48:28Speaker 2: not allowed to go back or say that anything that
- 48:31Speaker 2: was done was wrong. You certainly are not allowed to
- 48:35Speaker 2: blame Fauci, even though he lied over and over and
- 48:39Speaker 2: over again. This time he was smart enough to go
- 48:42Speaker 2: and say, I pleaded the fifth and he did it eleven,
- 48:44Speaker 2: one hundred and eleven times. But before he would sit
- 48:47Speaker 2: there and opine and talk about how Ran Paul didn't
- 48:50Speaker 2: know anything, and how even though he was a medical doctor,
- 48:53Speaker 2: he couldn't possibly fathom the science that Fauci was talking
- 48:57Speaker 2: about and all, and it was all it was all bubcus,
- 49:00Speaker 2: it was all not true. It was all just you know,
- 49:04Speaker 2: a sad, sad, sad man lying his way to what
- 49:08Speaker 2: ended up being about thirty million dollars in wealth, because somehow,
- 49:13Speaker 2: when he came out of the COVID nightmare and everybody
- 49:18Speaker 2: else had lost money, and everybody else had gone backwards financially.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Somehow Anthony Fauci had thirty million dollars in his bank account.
- 49:28Speaker 2: He's never explained that. He's never told us how he
- 49:31Speaker 2: did it. I would be interested in knowing. So with
- 49:35Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers' appearance this week, the club is sticking to
- 49:39Speaker 2: its practice of acknowledging viral public reaction, defending its players
- 49:44Speaker 2: to an opinion, and not really taking a side. But
- 49:49Speaker 2: this is an interesting day today because we've got these
- 49:54Speaker 2: situations where the free speech should be used, should be utilized,
- 50:04Speaker 2: and if you're running for governor of Wisconsin and you
- 50:06Speaker 2: say something patently absurd, you should be held accountable for it.
- 50:10Speaker 2: And I don't think Aaron Rodgers is sitting there going, oh,
- 50:12Speaker 2: these people were mean to me. I'm not gonna I'm
- 50:14Speaker 2: not gonna ever say anything out loud again. He'll probably
- 50:16Speaker 2: be more emboldened by this because he knows his team
- 50:20Speaker 2: is not going to try to knife him for saying
- 50:24Speaker 2: something that might be quasi controversial. Kevin McCullough, you want
- 50:28Speaker 2: to follow along that kevinshow dot com. That kevinshow dot com.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere.
- 50:55Speaker 6: Here.
- 50:55Speaker 1: He is from New York. That Kevin. Kevin McCullough.
- 51:04Speaker 2: All right, welcome back. It is Tuesday. I'm so glad
- 51:07Speaker 2: to be back for vacation. I love being away on vacation,
- 51:10Speaker 2: but I love being back because I miss having great
- 51:12Speaker 2: conversations with people like Katie McFarlane and kt my family
- 51:17Speaker 2: and I. We didn't think about any of you guys
- 51:18Speaker 2: last week. We were just down the shore at Kate
- 51:20Speaker 2: May and I didn't even turn on And you've known
- 51:24Speaker 2: me for a really long time, You're going to be
- 51:25Speaker 2: amazed at this. I didn't turn on Fox News once
- 51:29Speaker 2: in the hotel in the entire week we were there,
- 51:31Speaker 2: not once. I didn't turn it on once. Pretty impressive.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Well, you weren't watching CNN, were you.
- 51:36Speaker 2: No, I didn't turn on any cable news. I had
- 51:39Speaker 2: a few alerts coming on my phone, but other than that,
- 51:41Speaker 2: I was really good. I tried to just be very
- 51:43Speaker 2: present with everybody that was in the room.
- 51:46Speaker 4: It's I think that's very healthy, is to take a
- 51:48Speaker 4: mental break from all the chaos of our times.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, speaking of chaos, something we haven't talked about
- 51:54Speaker 2: in a long time has been the Gaza situation. And
- 51:58Speaker 2: there's now a peace plan that has been proposed. It
- 52:02Speaker 2: is conditions based. There's some you know, you got to
- 52:06Speaker 2: give up your weapons stuff in there. There's some speculation
- 52:09Speaker 2: over whether or not Hamas will actually do it. But
- 52:11Speaker 2: your first reading of it, what do you think about
- 52:14Speaker 2: it so far?
- 52:15Speaker 4: I think it's great. And you know, if we'd had
- 52:17Speaker 4: this conversation two years ago to say we would actually
- 52:20Speaker 4: have the cessation of fighting in Gaza, that there would
- 52:23Speaker 4: be a peace plan that the Arab world and everybody
- 52:26Speaker 4: in the world, including the UN and signed on to,
- 52:28Speaker 4: including Hamas has signed on too, you would have laughed.
- 52:33Speaker 4: And then if we had said a year ago, when
- 52:34Speaker 4: they were getting the negotiation going and getting the twenty
- 52:38Speaker 4: point piece plan that would actually start working, we would
- 52:41Speaker 4: have laughed again.
- 52:42Speaker 3: But it is working now.
- 52:43Speaker 4: Slowly, it's working, but there's an international body and it's
- 52:47Speaker 4: particularly being driven by Turkey and Egypt and the golf
- 52:51Speaker 4: Arabs to to monitor it to make sure that Hamas
- 52:56Speaker 4: is abiding by the terms of it. As you point out,
- 52:58Speaker 4: it's condition space, so Hamas has to disarm and has
- 53:02Speaker 4: to turn over you know, small arms and then heavier arms,
- 53:06Speaker 4: and it has to reveal where the tunnels are there's
- 53:08Speaker 4: sort of a sequence of events that Hamas has to
- 53:12Speaker 4: do before they're given amnesty. So I'm confident that that,
- 53:16Speaker 4: you know, there'll be glitches, of course they'll be glitches,
- 53:18Speaker 4: but the general direction is positive. So I'm very reassured
- 53:23Speaker 4: that this in fact has the ability to change the
- 53:27Speaker 4: Middle East. And we've been talking about, you know, Palestinian
- 53:31Speaker 4: is really fighting that going back to when I first
- 53:34Speaker 4: started in this business forty five fifty years ago. And
- 53:36Speaker 4: if we can now have a situation where the Palestinians
- 53:40Speaker 4: in Israel are largely at peace, not enforced by US,
- 53:45Speaker 4: but verified by US, and not paid for by US,
- 53:49Speaker 4: but paid for by the countries in the region, I
- 53:51Speaker 4: think it's a huge development.
- 53:53Speaker 2: When we last spoke, we were on the verge, or
- 53:57Speaker 2: the President had said that Saudi Arabia was on the
- 54:00Speaker 2: verge of joining the Abraham Accords. Does such talk, even
- 54:07Speaker 2: if it hasn't happened yet, but does such talk send
- 54:11Speaker 2: the message to the bad guys in places like Gaza
- 54:14Speaker 2: that their days truly are numbered, that they're not going
- 54:16Speaker 2: to have a foundation of support region wide, and that
- 54:20Speaker 2: it's in everybody's best interest to learn how to get along.
- 54:23Speaker 4: Well, I don't think they care about getting along, and
- 54:25Speaker 4: they're perfectly happy to I mean Hamas, for example, the
- 54:28Speaker 4: i erg Se and Irun are perfectly happy to sacrifice
- 54:31Speaker 4: the you know, millions of people under their jurisdiction for
- 54:35Speaker 4: their cause. So how do you deal with people like that,
- 54:37Speaker 4: who don't want a deal, who will sabotage any deal,
- 54:40Speaker 4: who won't make a deal. Will you deprive them of
- 54:43Speaker 4: the There are two ways. There's at Chinese proverb kevin
- 54:47Speaker 4: and it's how do you kill a snake? Well, you
- 54:49Speaker 4: can starve a snake or you can cut off his head.
- 54:51Speaker 4: But if you go to cut off his head, a
- 54:53Speaker 4: lot could happen. You know, he could snap back at you,
- 54:55Speaker 4: things could go wrong. Starving a snake in a cage
- 54:58Speaker 4: is much more effective. He dies either way, but the
- 55:01Speaker 4: starving the snake is of much less risk to you.
- 55:04Speaker 4: So starving Hamas because they're not getting any funds, Starving
- 55:09Speaker 4: the iyer as you see at Iran because they're not
- 55:11Speaker 4: getting any funds. And if they don't get any funds,
- 55:13Speaker 4: they can't give them off to Hamas or any of
- 55:15Speaker 4: the terrorist proxy groups. It takes longer. It's not as
- 55:19Speaker 4: sort of emotionally fulfilling because you don't have a surrender ceremony,
- 55:23Speaker 4: But in the end it's just as effective. And I
- 55:25Speaker 4: think that's what's happening, and that's why the Iran going
- 55:29Speaker 4: back and forth. We're negotiating, we're not negotiating. There's a ceasefire,
- 55:32Speaker 4: there's not a ceasefire. I'm less concerned with the day
- 55:36Speaker 4: to day story of that than I am of the
- 55:38Speaker 4: big picture. And the big picture is Iran, who's had
- 55:41Speaker 4: no financial or economic relief in months. And even if
- 55:46Speaker 4: there's a ceasefire, the blockade has not stopped. Even if
- 55:49Speaker 4: there's a ceasefire, the sanctions have not been lifted. So
- 55:53Speaker 4: Iran is going an increasingly dire economic situation where inflation
- 55:58Speaker 4: is nobody even knows. It's well over one hundred percent,
- 56:01Speaker 4: two hundred percent, could even be three hundred percent of
- 56:03Speaker 4: certain goods. Their currency has collapsed, they're not paying the
- 56:07Speaker 4: IRGC member. So how long can that prevail that kind
- 56:12Speaker 4: of an economic situation in Iran? Maybe a long time,
- 56:14Speaker 4: but not forever.
- 56:16Speaker 2: Let me ask you about some reports I'm seeing in
- 56:19Speaker 2: the last few days that say that China may be
- 56:23Speaker 2: working covertly to somehow rebolster or help Iran with missiles,
- 56:31Speaker 2: maybe going through Pakistan to do it. Do you give
- 56:33Speaker 2: any credit to some of these? I mean Fox News
- 56:35Speaker 2: has a link up even right now suggesting that an
- 56:38Speaker 2: expert has proffered this. But with what you've looked at
- 56:42Speaker 2: in terms of China and the situation, do you think
- 56:45Speaker 2: it's it's possible.
- 56:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm not as concerned about it. Why because
- 56:51Speaker 4: China hasn't you know, they're no Chinese battleships that it's
- 56:55Speaker 4: helping Iran. So is China helping Iran covertly or they
- 56:58Speaker 4: sharing intelligence with them? Yeah, I'm sure they're doing that.
- 57:01Speaker 4: Are they potentially supplying them with shoulder fired missiles that
- 57:05Speaker 4: could take down any ships transitting to straight up formos?
- 57:10Speaker 4: Maybe they're going to do that. But at the end
- 57:12Speaker 4: of the day, China's all about China. China doesn't care
- 57:15Speaker 4: about Iran or the I Orgy SEE or any of
- 57:17Speaker 4: those groups. China cares about getting cheap oil, reliable cheap
- 57:22Speaker 4: oil and natural gas from somebody, and if it's not
- 57:25Speaker 4: going to be the Middle East, they'll try to get
- 57:26Speaker 4: it from someplace else. More likely, they're getting increasing amounts
- 57:30Speaker 4: of it from Eastern Siberia, from Russia. So I'm not
- 57:33Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, it's a wrinkle in this. First of all,
- 57:37Speaker 4: I'm not sure it's a report that's been confirmed. It
- 57:39Speaker 4: was originally a Reuter's report sourced from the Middle East.
- 57:42Speaker 4: And so I have a big question market player.
- 57:45Speaker 2: And that's fair totally.
- 57:47Speaker 4: And as President Trump said when he was asked about
- 57:50Speaker 4: it last week, he said, oh, I hadn't heard that. Well,
- 57:53Speaker 4: I'd be surprised if China's doing that. They told us
- 57:55Speaker 4: they weren't going to do stuff like that.
- 57:57Speaker 3: In any way, I'm.
- 57:58Speaker 4: Eating the Hushing thing in September. So what President Trump
- 58:02Speaker 4: has basically said, it's like shooting pain. He has more
- 58:04Speaker 4: important stuff to worry about, which is a relationship with
- 58:06Speaker 4: the United States. Less important is his relationship with Iran.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Quick question on the energy front. I know that our
- 58:14Speaker 2: supplies are low. I know that the kind of moving
- 58:18Speaker 2: away from a negotiated end to Iran, although they're asking for,
- 58:22Speaker 2: you know, negotiations now. Supposedly, how has the Venezuelan factor
- 58:29Speaker 2: factored into the US oil supply or the global supply?
- 58:34Speaker 2: Are we are we helping relieve can we help relieve
- 58:38Speaker 2: some of the pressure by utilizing that oil that we
- 58:41Speaker 2: have access to.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Now we have access to it. I think Venezuela was
- 58:45Speaker 4: the example that President Trump thought would happen if he
- 58:47Speaker 4: went into try to topple the top guys in Iran
- 58:50Speaker 4: and then you know, the second tier, third tier would
- 58:52Speaker 4: cooperate with him. It turned out not to be as easy,
- 58:56Speaker 4: not to be as easy at all. And so the
- 59:00Speaker 4: example of Venezuela, while it was, you know, alluring, didn't
- 59:04Speaker 4: turn out to be the case. But so where we now,
- 59:07Speaker 4: I think that that was leaving the energy supply in
- 59:11Speaker 4: the world is China's demanding Chinese less energy is cut
- 59:15Speaker 4: back by twenty five percent of its energy requirements. Why
- 59:20Speaker 4: because they don't need it, because their economy is doing
- 59:22Speaker 4: so badly, because they're manufacturing is stalled, so they have
- 59:26Speaker 4: less demand. Part of it is that a lot of
- 59:29Speaker 4: the demand that was coming out of the Middle East
- 59:31Speaker 4: or the supplies are now coming out of America. Our
- 59:33Speaker 4: oil exports have increased thirty percent since the Iran war began.
- 59:39Speaker 4: I mean they could go even higher if we could
- 59:41Speaker 4: only produce more oil quickly enough. The world, which is
- 59:45Speaker 4: turning to us to say we're the only reliable supporter
- 59:48Speaker 4: supplier of oil and.
- 59:49Speaker 2: The least thank you green people Democrats who have blocked
- 59:52Speaker 2: the bottlenecked all of our abilities to get it done well.
- 59:57Speaker 4: But the trend is that we are derg a lot
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: of better or streamlining regulations so that the United States
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: can develop our energy more quickly and can export it
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: more quickly.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Well, it'll be interesting to see where all that lands.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: And I'm very hopeful, I continue to be that we
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: will have some sort of resolution to this before or
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: by labor day. Are you are you hopeful? Are you optimistic?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: I mean, we're in what cycle six now of the hey,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: let's talk periods.
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: I think we could be in cycle ten. But if
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: the objective reality is that the price of gasoline is
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: still under four dollars a gallon, and that's important to Americans.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: The price of oil is I don't know where it
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: was today, but about eighty five ninety dollars a barrow
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: of the most. The stock market has never been better,
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: the economic indicators of confidence and in the US dollar
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: and the US long term treasuries never been higher. So
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: we're doing really well, and we're doing really well in
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: and of ourselves, and certainly compared to Europe, which has
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: stagnant economic growth, China, which as I said, is faltering.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Nobody's doing anything well except the United States. So I'm
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: less concerned about a sign on the dotted line signing
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: ceremony within the Oval office with the flashbulbs as I am.
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: The reality is that we've won this war.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and and paralyzed the permanent uh you know, pro
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: terrorism state into into a situation where they can't do
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: that anymore. Katie McFarland. Always appreciate you, Thank you, Thank you.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: Kevin.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I got it. Kevin McCollough coming back from Times Square.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: Don't go anywhere.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: Let's stick around for more of that. Kevin. Next here
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: he is from New York. That Kevin, Kevin mccollo.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Welcome back. Is that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Very glad to have you with us for another opportunity
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: to let you know that those of you that have
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: stood with us at that kevinshow dot com and click
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: to that banner at the top of the page, you
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: are making a difference. And we've talked a lot about
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: over the last few days about how many people from
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: New York have helped us and said thank you and
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: so forth to them. But Michael, we've been just a
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: little bit remiss in not thinking the many many people
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: listening and joining us on this effort from all across
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: the country, I mean, and from some places very far away.
- 1:02:39Speaker 11: Well, I can tell you we're grateful for the expansion
- 1:02:41Speaker 11: of that Kevin show, right, ye know, I mean, you
- 1:02:43Speaker 11: know what our founders, you know, founded Bibleliga. You know,
- 1:02:46Speaker 11: almost ninety years ago, Kevin. They knew it was not
- 1:02:48Speaker 11: going to be a small group of people that would
- 1:02:50Speaker 11: pull off the work of the Great Commission, right, it
- 1:02:52Speaker 11: would take people all over the country, all over the
- 1:02:55Speaker 11: world saying you know what, I've got to be a
- 1:02:57Speaker 11: part of what God is doing. People like Dorian Glendelle
- 1:03:00Speaker 11: Arizona said, I'm in a gift of twenty Bibles. Surely
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: a flower Mound, Texas a gift of ten Bibles, thank you,
- 1:03:08Speaker 11: Robert of Puria, Arizona, one hundred and fifty dollars gift
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: for thirty Bibles. And let me correct myself, Dorian made
- 1:03:14Speaker 11: a gift actually of five one hundred dollars, filling the
- 1:03:17Speaker 11: empty waiting hands of one hundred believers that we know
- 1:03:20Speaker 11: by name at Bible League and Kevin we've said, together
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: as two ministries, can we bless just north of ten
- 1:03:25Speaker 11: thousand believers with the precious word of God. These are
- 1:03:28Speaker 11: men and women to this point in their walk with
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: the Lord, who have been what denied access to God's Word.
- 1:03:34Speaker 11: But listeners to that Kevin show getting it done, call
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: by call, click by click, we're just north of two thousand.
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: Again our goal just north of ten thousand. And every again,
- 1:03:44Speaker 11: every call, every click gets his what a Bible closer
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: to that goal?
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: A little bit closer? One eight hundred Yes, word is
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: the phone number, friend, one eight hundred y E s WRD.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: You can also very easily give by going to that
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: kevinshow dot com and clicking the manner at the top
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: of the page. You will see an elderly lady there.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: I think she's probably on the African continent if I'm
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: just guessing, But she is smiling ear to ear. And
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: why is she smiling ear to ear? Because she has
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: a joy of holding in her hands. I believe you
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: can see it in the picture itself, a copy of
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: the Bible in her language. Now, Michael, a lot of
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: times you know these people in these pictures is this
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: someone you know that you were on a trip with
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: or well, yeah.
- 1:04:29Speaker 11: She's on the continent of Africa, as you say, and
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: I can tell you she was among a group that
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: we provided bibles to. In fact, there were one hundred
- 1:04:35Speaker 11: people that we gave bibles to that day. Kevin, I mean,
- 1:04:38Speaker 11: when you do it, I've seen the reaction. I wish
- 1:04:41Speaker 11: I could bust every lister up and go to those
- 1:04:44Speaker 11: places where you see the reaction of a Christian he
- 1:04:47Speaker 11: or she finally receives a Bible. But I can remember
- 1:04:49Speaker 11: giving a Bible to the former village witch doctor who
- 1:04:53Speaker 11: took that Bible again, a lot of those before her,
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: they sang, they danced, Remember one galstood they're clutching the
- 1:05:01Speaker 11: Bible that would tell her about the God who loves her.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Ryan.
- 1:05:04Speaker 11: I mean she didn't say much. But Mabel, this former
- 1:05:07Speaker 11: village witch doctor, Kevin, when I gave her that Bible,
- 1:05:09Speaker 11: she it was in Swahili. She went to the scripture
- 1:05:12Speaker 11: that was her first scripture that she read from Second
- 1:05:15Speaker 11: Corinthians five, and it was what I'm a new creation
- 1:05:18Speaker 11: in Christ, the oldest gone, the newest come. And again
- 1:05:21Speaker 11: you're in a place where you're singled out, You're targeted,
- 1:05:23Speaker 11: you're monitored, you face incredible hardship.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: What do you need to be able to do?
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: Open God's precious word, be reminded that he knows you
- 1:05:30Speaker 11: intimately right and He's got precious promises that belong to
- 1:05:33Speaker 11: us as believers. Wanted to take you to the country
- 1:05:36Speaker 11: of India. Kevin tell you the story of a woman
- 1:05:38Speaker 11: by the name of Lolitha. What Christians are up against
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: in this nation is absolutely horrific. There are anti conversion
- 1:05:45Speaker 11: laws on the books in twenty six states.
- 1:05:47Speaker 6: There.
- 1:05:47Speaker 11: It means what if you tell somebody what Jesus means
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: to you, they can throw you in jail. You've got
- 1:05:51Speaker 11: this audio clip from my colleague demand by the name
- 1:05:54Speaker 11: of Subiesh.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: He's in the nation of India.
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: One of our church plannder. He told me, like in
- 1:06:00Speaker 12: his village, you will see the sign boats Christian missionaries
- 1:06:03Speaker 12: a prohibitor in the village. If anyone stries to do it,
- 1:06:07Speaker 12: they would attack them mercilessly. And I believe the reason
- 1:06:11Speaker 12: behind all this is the growth of the church. People
- 1:06:14Speaker 12: are responding to the Gospel and are joining the church.
- 1:06:19Speaker 12: Church is growing in India. Emers of the severe persecutions.
- 1:06:23Speaker 11: Well, it's exactly what we pray for, isn't it, that
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: the Gospel would take grip all over the world. So again, listeners,
- 1:06:28Speaker 11: your prayers are being answered. I mean, I know that
- 1:06:31Speaker 11: in the midst of our business, you know, we do
- 1:06:33Speaker 11: pray that people would bend the need to the Lord
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: Jesus begin living their lives to his glorying on. And
- 1:06:38Speaker 11: what we're telling you today is what that is clearly happening,
- 1:06:41Speaker 11: and the incredible growth that we're seeing all this spiritual
- 1:06:44Speaker 11: awakening Christians who live nominal lives, you know, waking up
- 1:06:48Speaker 11: to the Gospel saying you know what, I want to
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: take the Lord seriously. That's what's contributing to this incredible
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: Bible of famine that we're seeing around the world. But
- 1:06:56Speaker 11: I want to tell you the story of Lolitha born
- 1:06:58Speaker 11: in Coastal India, raised a strict Hindu. At fourteen, she
- 1:07:01Speaker 11: was forced to marry an older man. She didn't know,
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: she didn't love. That happens a lot in that culture.
- 1:07:07Speaker 11: This was a man, he was a radicalized Hindu. Didn't
- 1:07:11Speaker 11: look at Lalitha as somebody to love and nourish. Was
- 1:07:13Speaker 11: really a possession to be had. He was killed in
- 1:07:16Speaker 11: an audibile accident, leaving Loalitha a widow in that culture there, Kevin,
- 1:07:20Speaker 11: she was forced into human trafficking. The drug car tells
- 1:07:23Speaker 11: that are there in India will force young girls into
- 1:07:27Speaker 11: the human trafficking rings. They funnel a lot of drugs
- 1:07:31Speaker 11: through those. She lived in absolute, utter hopelessness to for
- 1:07:35Speaker 11: lack of a better word, I mean, this is a
- 1:07:36Speaker 11: woman that was pimped you ten times a day for
- 1:07:39Speaker 11: about five years of her life. When she reached her
- 1:07:42Speaker 11: late teens, there was somebody that rescued her, brought to
- 1:07:45Speaker 11: her place to safety, introduced her to the hope of
- 1:07:48Speaker 11: the Gospel, train her to share Christ with others. I
- 1:07:50Speaker 11: can tell you, by the grace of God and through
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: the gumption of people like Loalitha, the Gospel is going
- 1:07:57Speaker 11: forth in India. Now listen, Lilitha's story kind of ends
- 1:08:00Speaker 11: in sadness, at least this side of eternity. She died
- 1:08:03Speaker 11: of hiv ate, something that was afflicted upon her in
- 1:08:06Speaker 11: those years of human trafficking, but not before she was
- 1:08:10Speaker 11: able to introduce ninety six former Hindus to the hope
- 1:08:14Speaker 11: of the Gospel. So round that up about one hundred
- 1:08:16Speaker 11: fellow members of our spiritual family, praying again, not for
- 1:08:19Speaker 11: our pity today, not for our protections in a nation
- 1:08:22Speaker 11: that fiercely opposes the Gospel. What they're praying for is
- 1:08:25Speaker 11: what it is, the precious Word of God in the
- 1:08:27Speaker 11: Hindi language.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: One eight hundred yes word, one eight hundred yes word.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Go to that Kevinshow dot com and click the banner
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: at the top of the page.
- 1:09:01Speaker 13: Here he is from New York, Kevin. Kevin McCullough, welcome back.
- 1:09:08Speaker 13: It is that Kevin Show, that kevinshow dot com where
- 1:09:11Speaker 13: you can get everything you need for the show, and
- 1:09:13Speaker 13: we never put it behind a paywall, so you can
- 1:09:15Speaker 13: always have it for free. The podcast, the columns, the newsletters,
- 1:09:20Speaker 13: the radio shows, the TV shows, it's all there, my
- 1:09:24Speaker 13: social media, it's all there.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: It's in one place. We did that to make it
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: easy for you. But here's the catch. I would also
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: like you to take a look at that banner at
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: the top of the page on the homepage and do
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: what you can to help put a Bible into the
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: hands of a believer who cannot get one though they desperately,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: desperately want one. And I'm not using that word lightly.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: Desperation has a certain seriousness to it, a certain sobriety
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: to it, and the desperation is real. Michael Wilworth is
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: back with us from the Bible League, and something that
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: we don't talk about, Michael Offen in the West is
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: how that every village in these countries where Bible League
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: has been working, some of them for eighty nine years,
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: they all want and need a local church to help
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: further and shepherd them in terms of what they should
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: be growing in spiritually. And that's another need that Bible
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: League is helping to accomplish through the project. Philip.
- 1:10:23Speaker 11: Yeah, and I want to address that. Before I do that,
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: let me just say thanks Kevin. Some of these wonderful
- 1:10:28Speaker 11: listeners saying, look, we want to be a part of
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: this today. Kathleen Elizabeth, Colorado said, count me in at
- 1:10:33Speaker 11: seven bibles. Marie of Minneapolis, Minnesota said I want to
- 1:10:37Speaker 11: be a part of this a one hundred dollars tax
- 1:10:38Speaker 11: deductible gift for twenty Bibles, and then friends in Shepherdsville,
- 1:10:43Speaker 11: Kentucky said, we want to be a part of this.
- 1:10:45Speaker 11: Count us in at the one hundred and fifty dollars level,
- 1:10:48Speaker 11: gift to put Bibles into the waiting hands of thirty
- 1:10:51Speaker 11: believers that we know by name at Bible League and Kevin, Yeah,
- 1:10:54Speaker 11: we believe every country, every village, every bustling city, what
- 1:11:00Speaker 11: a thriving church to be able to disciple of people
- 1:11:04Speaker 11: after introducing them to the hope of the Gospel, and
- 1:11:06Speaker 11: then to be a beacon to those around them. That's
- 1:11:09Speaker 11: certainly true in the bush of Africa. You know, every
- 1:11:12Speaker 11: three and a half hours, somewhere in the world, Bible
- 1:11:14Speaker 11: League comes alongside a church planner and by the grace
- 1:11:17Speaker 11: of God and through the gumption of that church planner
- 1:11:21Speaker 11: and a fellow believers, there is a church planet. And again,
- 1:11:25Speaker 11: Bible League is there to provide resources to help church
- 1:11:28Speaker 11: planners grow their church to the glory of God. Oftentimes
- 1:11:31Speaker 11: they're provided without charge, and the reason is so many
- 1:11:35Speaker 11: of these churches exist in places where there's extreme poverty.
- 1:11:38Speaker 11: When you identify as a believer, you're often denied access
- 1:11:42Speaker 11: to services, to jobs, and so it's important that Bible
- 1:11:45Speaker 11: League is able to provide those programs without charge. And
- 1:11:49Speaker 11: that's where this listening family comes in again. For the
- 1:11:52Speaker 11: princely sum of only five dollars a Bible. You're able
- 1:11:55Speaker 11: to provide that precious word of God. Let me take
- 1:11:57Speaker 11: you to the continent of Africa.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: This is the part of the.
- 1:11:59Speaker 11: World where Christianity is growing in the greatest numbers. Kevin,
- 1:12:02Speaker 11: you've got this audio clip. The young boy's name is Wendell.
- 1:12:06Speaker 11: His family all former animist. If you're an animist, you
- 1:12:09Speaker 11: believe what. There's spirits and places and things you pray
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: to dead relatives for blessings. Really, no inkling of what
- 1:12:15Speaker 11: Christianity is all about, no idea who Jesus is. But again,
- 1:12:19Speaker 11: God did something special that Windle is now part of
- 1:12:23Speaker 11: a local thriving church and he has this simple plea.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: My name is Wendel and I live in Kenya.
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: After that, I learned a Bible versus Sunday School and
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: I want to learn more.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Please send me a Bible today.
- 1:12:36Speaker 11: Yeah, it's a simple plea from a young Wendell ten
- 1:12:38Speaker 11: years of age, part of a Sunday school program. He's
- 1:12:41Speaker 11: growing in grace as a young believer.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: Kevin.
- 1:12:44Speaker 11: Again, he's praying not for our pity or our protections.
- 1:12:48Speaker 11: He's praying for one. It's the precious word of God.
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: I want to take you just a few miles from
- 1:12:53Speaker 11: where he's at in Kenya to the Massai tribe. Tell
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: you about a pastor by the name of William, an
- 1:12:58Speaker 11: itinerant pastor. This man will want thirty one miles each way.
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: I was looking at my you know, some fitness article, Kevin.
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: They tell us to get about ten thousand steps of
- 1:13:08Speaker 11: data to you know, to kind of stay on the
- 1:13:11Speaker 11: physically fit trail. Thirty one thousand miles each way is
- 1:13:14Speaker 11: like one hundred and ten thousand steps. This guy gets
- 1:13:16Speaker 11: his fill right. But who's at the end of those
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: tracks that he makes, well, it's young people like Anya.
- 1:13:21Speaker 11: Anya's story is this fourteen years of age, forced into
- 1:13:25Speaker 11: a marriage to an older man she didn't know, she
- 1:13:28Speaker 11: didn't love, subjected to again that ritual that happens among
- 1:13:32Speaker 11: the Masai tribe, the tallest ethnicity in the world.
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: By the way.
- 1:13:35Speaker 11: The other thing is a female circumcision. I won't get
- 1:13:38Speaker 11: graphic about that other than it say it is painful,
- 1:13:42Speaker 11: there's no known health benefits. It's embarrassing. But again it's
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: one of those traditions that forced upon a young girls
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: like Anya. William introduced Anya to the hope of the gospel.
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: She became a believer. But Kevin, the story is not
- 1:13:56Speaker 11: in there. She would gather about forty young women, all
- 1:13:59Speaker 11: in that same a situation, forced to marry older men
- 1:14:03Speaker 11: who didn't know them, who didn't love them. I can
- 1:14:05Speaker 11: tell you, by the grace of God, they became believers.
- 1:14:08Speaker 11: But Kevin, the story does not in there. It expands
- 1:14:11Speaker 11: those women have all leathered husbands to Christ. That Pastor
- 1:14:15Speaker 11: Williams said, look, ladies, live your lives to the glory
- 1:14:18Speaker 11: of God before your husbands, and let's leave the rest
- 1:14:21Speaker 11: up to God. I can tell you again, by the
- 1:14:24Speaker 11: grace of the Lord, those husbands have all come to Christ.
- 1:14:27Speaker 11: There's forty new couples that want to live their lives
- 1:14:30Speaker 11: to the glory of God. Now, Kevin, the story expands
- 1:14:32Speaker 11: beyond that. There's about two hundred families, among them a
- 1:14:36Speaker 11: side tribe there in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, Africa,
- 1:14:40Speaker 11: that have said yes to Jesus. So again, this is
- 1:14:43Speaker 11: what we're saying. God's at work in his world right.
- 1:14:45Speaker 11: Jesus said, if I be lifted up, I'll draw all
- 1:14:47Speaker 11: the nations to myself. We're seeing that happen again. These
- 1:14:51Speaker 11: are people that again don't live near a Christian bookstore.
- 1:14:53Speaker 11: There's no discount retailer, there's no Amazon dot Com to
- 1:14:57Speaker 11: drop a box of Bibles into their village. But listen,
- 1:15:00Speaker 11: we are praying that listeners do that Kevin Show today
- 1:15:03Speaker 11: will catch a glimpse into what God is doing. And
- 1:15:05Speaker 11: like these listeners, I just think we'll say, you know what,
- 1:15:08Speaker 11: We've got to be a part of this today.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: It's so important, friend, and you can make such a
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: big difference. And because of those of you that already
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: have that, we have close to two thousand Bibles that
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: are headed out. And if you've been listening, you also
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: know that for the last eighty nine years, the Bible
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: League can tell you that about twelve people per Bible
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: come to faith in Jesus. I get excited about that personally.
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: So I'm going to ask you would you be part
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: of that. We have ten thousand names on a list,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: we have about two thousand bibles supplied. We have a
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: long way to go. We need your help. Would you
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: be willing to step forward and say yes? I will
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: make sure that bibles get to those who need them.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: Here's how you do it. One eight hundred yes, word
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: one eight hundred yees word one eight hundred yes word
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: one eight hundred yes word or give it online. It's efficient,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: it's timely, it's secure. That kevinshow dot com. Click the
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Bible League banner at the top of the page that
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: kevinshow dot com. Click the Bible League banner at the
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: top of the page that kevinshow dot com. And for
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: every one of you in every location that have given
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: a Bible or more over the last couple of weeks,
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: thank you. They're coming in as far away as you know,
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: Arizona and Illinois and Washington State and Florida and Hawaii
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: and so forth. You have responded to what God has
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: prompted on your heart. That's the most important thing. So
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: thank you for doing that. Kevin mccallaugh coming right about.
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Let's stick around for more of that.
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Kevin next, serving it up with a no drink mental.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: It's that can show.
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: All right, welcome back final a few minutes. Not sure
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: how I feel about this. You remember a few months ago,
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: I believe it was within the last year that Cracker
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: Barrel changed everything on the inside of their stores and
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: their menu and their logo and everything. And the old
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: fellow that was sitting on the porch and the cracker barrel,
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: which is not a racist term. They used to actually
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: ship crackers and barrels. The very odd thing for people
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: to be upset about, because there was no racial connotation
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: to any of it at all. But the woke new
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: leadership that they had that came on board were all like, oh,
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: using euphemisms and using racism and all these kinds of
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: things kind of kind of ridiculous, kind of dumb. But
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: they kind of got a lot of pushback on that
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: and kind of went in a different direction for a while.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: But they're now facing new backlash over some other efforts
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: to modernize things. And here's what I don't understand about
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: these organizations and why they do this stuff. If it
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: ain't broke, what are you trying to fix? Like cracker
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: barrel successful country time, culinary experience for people that want
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: and you know, you know how I know this is
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: true because the World Cup teams they were all like, oh,
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: cracker barrel and they were they were eating there, and
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: all the players and all the people from other countries
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: were like, this is so cool. Well they're they're now
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: they're messing with like if the inside decorations and the
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: logo were bad, you start messing with the actual menu
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: un up in real trouble. And that's what they've done,
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: taking something called the Sunrise Sampler off the menu. One
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: of the patrons said, reality is that nostalgia matters, and
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: when you remove popular items without controlling the narrative or
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: managing customers expectations, you're bound to upset us customers. And
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: that's really true. But they've removed things like black eyed
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: peas as a side dish, which where can you go
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: and have really good black eyed peas If you're into
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: black eyed peas, Cracker Barrel probably makes the best that
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: are out there in terms of food franchises. The chain
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: also took away the baked apple dumpling as the perfect
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: comfort dessert, and there's people that want it back now,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: and they're not just asking for old menu item, they're
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: asking for the comfort and nostalgia that came with them.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Sometimes bringing back a classic dish means more to loyal
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: customers than introducing several new ones. And that's what they're
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: still struggling with. And it's kind of sad to see.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Speaking of struggling, have you checked your health insurance bill lately?
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: My families had gone up for well. Because of Obamacare,
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: we were required to get on a compliant plan a
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: few years ago, thank you Obama, and we got on
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: one of those medical cost sharing programs and the price
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: when we started was where it was and it was
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: a pretty good plan. And then as the years went by,
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: it got more and more expensive and fewer things were
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: covered and it just ended up not really working for
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: us at all. And earlier this year I ran across
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: and met Vic Pritcheart of DFW Insurance. DFW Direct Insurance
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: is a health insurance specialist and he works with over
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: twenty three different of the major insurance companies and he
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: helps people find the specific health insurance that's right for
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: their self employment or a small business or a family
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: that is looking to improve their health insurance situation. If
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: you have not yet called Vic's personal cell phone to
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: get your cost check done, please do that eight one
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: seven four four nine fifty five fifty seven eight one
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: seven four four nine fifty five fifty seven. And when
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Vic answers just say, hey, you know, it's Sally from
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: you know, Wyoming, and uh, Kevin told me to give
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: you a call and he's gonna he's gonna treat you
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: the way he treated me. He helped us, say four
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: hundred dollars a month, that's nearly five grand a year
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: in cost towards our health insurance, and he got us
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: coverage we didn't have. He got us expanded coverage at
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: nearly five grand less for the year eight one, seven, four, four, nine, five,
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: five five seven eight one seven, four four nine, five,
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: five five seven. Call Vic and tell him that Kevin said, Hi,
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: we'll see you next time here on that Kevin
