- 0:00Speaker 1: Amal and I is part of the Oddpods Media Network.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Well, hello.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Hello.
- 0:06Speaker 4: Welcome back.
- 0:08Speaker 3: You've clicked on a Golden Girls podcast. Because you thought,
- 0:31Speaker 3: this looks like fun.
- 0:32Speaker 5: And you were right.
- 0:33Speaker 4: And I'm a golden boy.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Once again, we're joined by Aaron.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yes, we have our golden boy book daddy, Aaron Randall.
- 0:48Speaker 4: Hello.
- 0:49Speaker 6: Hello.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Hello. My best Mrs. Doubtfire.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Hello.
- 0:55Speaker 3: And what have you been up to this week?
- 0:58Speaker 4: I don't know, not much. Just fooling around with various
- 1:02Speaker 4: toys and electronic things.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Tinkering.
- 1:04Speaker 4: I'm trying to build a Windows 98, 95, 3.1 DOS
- 1:11Speaker 4: handheld gaming machine currently. It's an interesting project that seems impossible,
- 1:18Speaker 4: or at least to do in a way that will
- 1:19Speaker 4: be comfortable, because almost all of the games that came
- 1:22Speaker 4: out back then require a full mouse and keyboard. And
- 1:25Speaker 4: that's just hard. hard to do comfortably in a handheld setting.
- 1:32Speaker 3: That sounds like you've got to be really smart to.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Do all that.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I don't know. I just have the right tools, I think.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Sounds like quite a commitment, though. I'm sure there's a
- 1:46Speaker 3: lot of tech issues that pop up.
- 1:48Speaker 4: So far, it's been a lot of work and $ 300.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Ladies, he has the right tools for the job.
- 1:57Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Dead.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Well, I saw you did another beefy jeopardy, but I
- 2:07Speaker 3: didn't see.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh, it was good, too.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Was it Zanthus? DJ Zanthus?
- 2:11Speaker 7: Yep.
- 2:11Speaker 4: DJ Zanthus, once again, had to have a returning champion
- 2:15Speaker 4: come back.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 2:18Speaker 4: We're planning some fun stuff that you guys might be
- 2:21Speaker 4: a part of, too.
- 2:23Speaker 8: Oh.
- 2:24Speaker 4: There's talk in the works about an Oddpods Beefy Eprity tournament.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Now, will there be a... Don't buzz until the question is...
- 2:39Speaker 5: Will that be a thing?
- 2:40Speaker 8: No.
- 2:40Speaker 5: The way Beefy Eprity works is everybody takes turns.
- 2:47Speaker 4: So when you pick a question off the board, it
- 2:49Speaker 4: is all yours. Nobody can steal it from you.
- 2:51Speaker 6: Oh, I see.
- 2:52Speaker 5: So this would still be Beefy Eopardy, but it would
- 2:54Speaker 5: be like a Tournament of Oddpots. Okay, got it.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Sorry. That's the idea.
- 2:58Speaker 7: Okay.
- 2:59Speaker 3: You have to answer in the form of a question still, yeah?
- 3:02Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 3:03Speaker 5: What is yes?
- 3:08Speaker 9: Yeah yeah we've been having a lot of fun with
- 3:10Speaker 9: that lately and uh it's just uh it's it's a
- 3:13Speaker 9: lot of fun for me to put together a lot
- 3:15Speaker 9: of work too but i i enjoy it so much
- 3:17Speaker 9: that it just tends to fly by.
- 3:18Speaker 3: So i don't know how you have enough hours in
- 3:22Speaker 3: the day uh he doesn't sleep i do.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Also work full-time job i also yeah i don't i'm
- 3:28Speaker 4: working on writing.
- 3:28Speaker 3: A book oh are you a vampire i.
- 3:30Speaker 4: I do have vampire-like tendencies.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Or an android.
- 3:34Speaker 4: I don't sleep well, which is just a fun thing
- 3:37Speaker 4: that happens to you when you get older.
- 3:39Speaker 6: Oh.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So, yeah. I see Kristen's been there with me. Yes.
- 3:49Speaker 5: We can't buy you a new MacBook or whatever computer
- 3:52Speaker 5: you have in front of you if you spit that
- 3:54Speaker 5: coffee out, ma'am.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Oh, we're good.
- 3:59Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Yeah, Bank of Mom is closed for business.
- 4:02Speaker 3: She accidentally had some.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that was earlier this week.
- 4:06Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 4: You don't look exploded.
- 4:13Speaker 5: You can only see her from the shoulders up.
- 4:16Speaker 4: You know what? That's fair.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You don't know what's happening down there.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I have no idea what's happening down there.
- 4:20Speaker 3: You might be sitting on a towel, dude.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I am sitting on a towel! Are you?
- 4:26Speaker 3: This smart girl.
- 4:27Speaker 5: I always have a towel on this chair.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Clever girl.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yeah, to be fair, I sit on a memory foam pillow.
- 4:36Speaker 6: Poop. oh my gosh erin i mean i thought of
- 4:46Speaker 6: you yesterday i was hanging out with my six-year-old niece
- 4:48Speaker 6: and the four-year-old one but the six-year-old one's like tt
- 4:52Speaker 6: yesterday i had a really bad poop she goes it
- 4:56Speaker 6: looked funny and it was rad oh my god hey.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Wait which erin did you think it was always talks
- 5:06Speaker 3: about poop.
- 5:08Speaker 6: I mean he's obsessed with poop right now so it
- 5:11Speaker 6: was red ate something she had some blood or.
- 5:14Speaker 2: What did she eat a lot of red vine i
- 5:16Speaker 2: had to create a crayon so funny i i i
- 5:20Speaker 2: got a little bit high one night um during covid
- 5:24Speaker 2: and i ate the way too many.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Not you what from one of those like the big
- 5:30Speaker 5: round red vine like jars, right? It would be at
- 5:35Speaker 5: a sports park when you were a kid and you
- 5:37Speaker 5: could buy like five for a quarter. I ate probably
- 5:41Speaker 5: like 15, 20, 30. I don't know. I ate too
- 5:44Speaker 5: many one night and the next day..
- 5:46Speaker 3: A fat kid doesn't count.
- 5:48Speaker 5: I was concerned. Because... You thought you were bleeding? I
- 5:54Speaker 5: was like... It was like the color of Aaron's bright
- 5:58Speaker 5: red shirt. It wasn't like a natural color.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Like the whole poo? Like, marbled?
- 6:05Speaker 5: Like a cheap dog treat? I wasn't going to go
- 6:10Speaker 5: into this much detail, but then Erin just really liked it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: She says marbled. I'm like, a steak?
- 6:18Speaker 5: Yeah, like the little carry-out dog treats that look long.
- 6:23Speaker 7: Anyway.
- 6:24Speaker 5: It's cool. Let's not.
- 6:25Speaker 3: I'm going to yak.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Enough.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yak is always a great word for that.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah, but yakety yak, don't talk back. All right.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Jesus Christ.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:43Speaker 3: We have a super-sized episode today.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Well, so..
- 6:48Speaker 3: Because it's a two-parter.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I will say, pay attention. And if you've paid attention
- 6:54Speaker 5: to your friend at all, I think this applies to
- 6:57Speaker 5: all three of you at this point, because I think
- 6:59Speaker 5: you've all heard me talk about this. There is a
- 7:01Speaker 5: moment coming up in this two-part episode that I am
- 7:06Speaker 5: very excited for. It's one of my top five all-time
- 7:10Speaker 5: dialogue exchanges.
- 7:13Speaker 10: Oh, okay.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 7:15Speaker 5: In a Golden Girls episode. I am avoiding the elephant
- 7:19Speaker 5: in the episode. I thought you were talking about who
- 7:21Speaker 5: we were going to see.
- 7:21Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I'm avoiding that for you. I do not deal with that.
- 7:25Speaker 8: All right.
- 7:25Speaker 5: Well, we've whetted your appetites with a little... glimmer of
- 7:30Speaker 5: excitement but tell us please what um gina do your
- 7:36Speaker 5: thing you beautiful.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Lady now that you're all wet season four episode six
- 7:43Speaker 3: and seven is sofia's wedding part one and two original
- 7:48Speaker 3: air date november 19th 1988 director was terry hughes writers
- 7:53Speaker 3: were barry fanaro and mort nathan Now, I don't know
- 7:57Speaker 3: if you could possibly figure out from this language, but
- 8:00Speaker 3: what do you think Sophia's wedding will be about?
- 8:03Speaker 6: I think it's the story of how, because Sophia's family
- 8:10Speaker 6: got involved with the mafia, she was forced into a marriage,
- 8:15Speaker 6: and this is the story of her wedding.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 8:21Speaker 1: To Sal.
- 8:21Speaker 3: To Sal or someone else?
- 8:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Hmm.
- 8:26Speaker 3: What do you think, Aaron?
- 8:27Speaker 4: I think she meets someone new. Or maybe not someone new,
- 8:34Speaker 4: but someone old. Someone from her past. And they connect.
- 8:40Speaker 4: And because they're very, very old, and time is a factor,
- 8:45Speaker 4: I think they just decide to get engaged right away.
- 8:48Speaker 4: And Dorothy's going to throw a shit.
- 8:52Speaker 3: I don't want a new daddy.
- 8:57Speaker 5: Okay i like the only daddy we want is book
- 9:00Speaker 5: daddy right that's.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Right so check out ladies.

- 9:14Speaker 3: Here's a blurb for you multiple times who do you
- 9:17Speaker 3: think will be the hardest for aaron to prove is
- 9:20Speaker 3: the villain.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Oh man uh again it seems to come down to
- 9:23Speaker 4: blanche and rose just based on the title.
- 9:26Speaker 5: You sons of bitches.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Should we make it should we make it easy for
- 9:31Speaker 1: her for once absolutely.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Not no it's fine she doesn't make it easy for us.
- 9:36Speaker 4: In that case in that case capitalism there you.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Go there it is wow capitalism and blanche or rose
- 9:49Speaker 3: should we go rose this time why not and she
- 9:53Speaker 3: just tap dance.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yeah which she's gonna do no matter.
- 9:56Speaker 5: What so don't think that yeah don't think that's not
- 9:59Speaker 5: gonna happen again all.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Right fair uh then it'll be more fun if she
- 10:02Speaker 4: does rose this time.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Rose yeah The only problem when I tap dance with
- 10:09Speaker 5: Rose is someone has to defend their girl all the time,
- 10:13Speaker 5: but I'll make it work.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Only because you look at me like it's a personal
- 10:17Speaker 6: attack sometimes, and I just, I gotta protect my girl.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Oh, look, if I wanted to personally attack you, I
- 10:27Speaker 5: didn't have to.
- 10:30Speaker 4: You don't have to do this through the guise of
- 10:32Speaker 4: attacking Rogue.
- 10:33Speaker 5: That's just called Tuesday Night's Love Island, which is, like,
- 10:37Speaker 5: whatever day of the week now.
- 10:38Speaker 4: I will openly talk to your face, bitch.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the thing. I am happy to... I won't
- 10:49Speaker 5: say anything behind your back I.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Wouldn't say to your face. That's how I try to live.
- 10:55Speaker 3: I'll call you a bitch to your face.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Spoiler alert.
- 10:58Speaker 9: Hey, bitch.
- 10:59Speaker 5: You're being a bitch one way. I know. Anyway, look,
- 11:02Speaker 5: let's watch this episode.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Hey, bitch.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Listen to a commercial. You fucking bitch. Listen to this commercial.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Hey, bitch, buy their product or service.
- 11:12Speaker 5: We love you guys, and we know that you love us.
- 11:15Speaker 5: And since we all love each other, why don't you
- 11:18Speaker 5: love this commercial, and we'll be right back.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Aw, bitch.
- 11:21Speaker 8: Hey, Jeff. Yeah, Jeff? Remember yesterday I was telling you
- 11:24Speaker 8: how I wished I could have seen one of Billy
- 11:26Speaker 8: Joel's sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden?
- 11:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I said you should go see Taylor Swift instead.
- 11:32Speaker 8: She's the modern day Billy Joel. Well, today my phone
- 11:35Speaker 8: said I should read an interview with Billy Joel where
- 11:37Speaker 8: he talks about both retirement and Taylor Swift.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Oh man, it's always so creepy when that happens.
- 11:43Speaker 8: We should do a podcast about how our devices are
- 11:45Speaker 8: always listening to us.
- 11:47Speaker 4: We already do. It's called Suggested Articles.
- 11:50Speaker 8: A podcast?
- 11:51Speaker 4: We talk about how technology is always spying on us
- 11:53Speaker 4: and how those tech corporations are such big buttholes.
- 11:56Speaker 8: Dude, you can't say buttholes on a podcast promo.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Dude, we already did.
- 12:00Speaker 8: Twice. Join us every other Monday on Suggested Articles.
- 12:03Speaker 4: The podcast.
- 12:04Speaker 8: On your favorite podcast app.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Part of the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Hello, hello, hello.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Hello.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Hello.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Hello.
- 12:16Speaker 1: We're back.
- 12:17Speaker 7: Yeah, we come back.
- 12:20Speaker 3: It was a giant episode.
- 12:22Speaker 4: So big.
- 12:24Speaker 5: Wow.
- 12:24Speaker 3: We really just had to watch two episodes.
- 12:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 3: It all aired together, though, from what I saw.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 12:33Speaker 3: I think it was just split up for Hulu.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 12:37Speaker 5: Well, yeah. So it would have been one of those, like,
- 12:41Speaker 5: double episodes where they're like, tonight, two episodes. And, like, yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 5: It aired together, but it was called, like, I'm stealing
- 12:53Speaker 5: your thunder, Gina. I'm sorry.
- 12:55Speaker 3: They still split it up as two intros and intros.
- 12:58Speaker 4: I'm assuming in reruns it would be individual pieces.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 6: But when it aired, it wasn't like a tune in
- 13:05Speaker 6: next week for the epic conclusion or anything like that.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:12Speaker 3: What the hell's going to happen to Sophia?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:16Speaker 7: They die.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Everybody dies.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Everyone dies.
- 13:18Speaker 6: They'll die in the pizza fire.
- 13:21Speaker 5: This is lost.
- 13:22Speaker 4: They got married in a pile of Elvis's.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 5: Alright, well. You guys have any thoughts or comments on
- 13:32Speaker 5: the episode?
- 13:33Speaker 4: Are you ready to..
- 13:34Speaker 5: This is a little bit, because it was two episodes.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if I remember half
- 13:39Speaker 4: of the show.
- 13:40Speaker 5: We have 19 questions for this one.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Holy hell.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Do you pluralize it as Elvi?
- 13:45Speaker 4: No, Elvis's.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Elvis's.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Elvis's.
- 13:54Speaker 10: No, I..
- 13:56Speaker 3: Enjoy this one it's a sweet one you know it's
- 14:03Speaker 3: it doesn't even though it's a lot it's like I
- 14:07Speaker 3: always love when this one comes around you know.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Well as teased one of my all time favorite Golden
- 14:14Speaker 5: Girls lines takes place in part one of this and
- 14:18Speaker 5: there will be two separate questions on it so.
- 14:21Speaker 3: We'll see how that goes I can't wait I can't.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Either Aaron, our guest, or Kristen, do you have any
- 14:29Speaker 5: other things about the episode before we get into the quiz,
- 14:33Speaker 5: or are you just ready to win?
- 14:35Speaker 4: It was funny. Let's go. Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Laugh out loud moments. Good time.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Yep.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Agreed.
- 14:43Speaker 3: He is a wordsmith.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Wow. I can see why you're such a successful author,
- 14:48Speaker 5: because of how eloquent you are. Exactly.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Economy of language. I love it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Eloquent and gets to the point.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Rekha slept, food, ate.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Cookies.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Cookies.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Fireball.
- 15:05Speaker 5: Angry, sad.
- 15:06Speaker 7: Bitch.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 15:12Speaker 5: All right. Buzzers are ready to go. Here we go.
- 15:17Speaker 5: What piece of mail is Rose excited about receiving? Gina.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Her unofficial chapter of the Elvis Club being approved.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Sure. That's most of the words in a form. It's
- 15:35Speaker 5: mostly a sentence, too. So, yes, we'll give you that point.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Honka Honka Burning Love Club.
- 15:42Speaker 5: Oh, I'm sorry. Oh, no, I didn't ask you to elaborate.
- 15:47Speaker 5: I was just making fun of the fact that you
- 15:48Speaker 5: Yoda sentence that. That's OK. Do you know you get
- 15:52Speaker 5: that point? I'm going to reset the buzzers here. What
- 15:57Speaker 5: is the name of the Elvis Presley fan club?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Nope, didn't reset the buzzers.
- 16:04Speaker 5: There you go.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I didn't feel right buzzing it now because I ruined it.
- 16:08Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Book Daddy? Hunk of Hunk of Burning Love.
- 16:13Speaker 5: It is the Hunk of Hunk of Burning Love.
- 16:16Speaker 3: You're our Hunk of Hunk of Burning Book Daddy.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 16:20Speaker 5: I don't know. He set me on fire, so I
- 16:22Speaker 5: don't know if he loves me anymore or not. All right.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Moving right along.
- 16:26Speaker 5: Just kidding. You're fine. I love you.
- 16:28Speaker 6: I know.
- 16:28Speaker 3: He said it's not you.
- 16:29Speaker 10: I'm kidding.
- 16:30Speaker 5: It's my job. I bust your balls. It's what I do.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I bet you think this book is about you, don't you?
- 16:42Speaker 5: Back in the good old days, what kind of food
- 16:45Speaker 5: stand did Max and Sal own together?
- 16:47Speaker 6: Dang.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Oh, shit.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Oh, giving Aaron the advantage on the space bar hint. Yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 5: he's in now. He's slaying it now.
- 16:58Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 17:01Speaker 5: What's your answer, Aaron?
- 17:03Speaker 4: A pizza and knish stand.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yep.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Knish.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Which is such a funny combination.
- 17:11Speaker 5: I mean, it's two delicious things.
- 17:13Speaker 4: But it's perfect.
- 17:15Speaker 3: A lot of starches.
- 17:17Speaker 5: Picture it.
- 17:17Speaker 6: Brooklyn.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Brooklyn. 1949. What game are they playing at the table?
- 17:26Speaker 8: Gina.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Missed me with that one.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Was it gin?
- 17:28Speaker 5: Yep, gin.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I love gin.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Gin is for Gina.
- 17:33Speaker 5: I like gin, the game, and the drink. At the funeral,
- 17:39Speaker 5: what does Sophia say to Max in lieu of an apology?
- 17:43Speaker 3: I can picture her standing there, but I can't remember
- 17:48Speaker 3: what she said. Yeah, I think this might be an
- 17:50Speaker 3: iron point.
- 17:52Speaker 7: Is this me? Mom, could I answer the question?
- 17:55Speaker 4: Sure, Abby.
- 17:59Speaker 7: The conditions were pretty good.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Thanks, Abby. You got your mama point.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Apology accepted. Do you want a point total?
- 18:12Speaker 6: Why not?
- 18:12Speaker 5: Oh, sure. Go ahead. Yeah.
- 18:13Speaker 8: Okay.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Because you love that this won't include me still because
- 18:16Speaker 5: Abby answered, right?
- 18:17Speaker 3: No, it includes you.
- 18:19Speaker 5: It's team scabs.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Call on your tits.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Kristen has zero. Aaron has one. And Gina and Aaron
- 18:26Speaker 1: have two. Oh, my God.
- 18:29Speaker 5: Are you feeling okay?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Yeah. The buzzer wasn't turned on. There's nothing I could
- 18:35Speaker 1: have done.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Oh, I see. And all those other questions you didn't
- 18:39Speaker 5: answer first?
- 18:41Speaker 3: A buzzer wasn't turned on for that one?
- 18:44Speaker 6: No, one of the other ones.
- 18:45Speaker 4: It's fine. Getting real catty about this one. Let's just
- 18:48Speaker 4: move on.
- 18:49Speaker 5: Let's just move along.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I'm uncomfortable here. How you doing, Erin?
- 18:53Speaker 4: I'm doing fine, Gina. How about yourself?
- 18:56Speaker 5: Dorothy has been thrown out of an unauthorized Elvis fan club.
- 19:01Speaker 5: What does she plan to do? Oh. Gina?
- 19:10Speaker 9: Is it?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Join a counseling group for it? A grief counseling group?
- 19:17Speaker 5: Well, Erin?
- 19:19Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure the word she used was join a
- 19:21Speaker 4: support group.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Oh.
- 19:24Speaker 4: She was going to look for a support group. She
- 19:26Speaker 4: didn't know if they existed.
- 19:28Speaker 5: Okay.
- 19:28Speaker 3: She might have said other stuff.
- 19:30Speaker 5: We're going to put a pin in that idea. Okay.
- 19:34Speaker 5: And I'm going to guess that no stump bonus is
- 19:36Speaker 5: going to go just as well. So the full line
- 19:40Speaker 5: that that I'm referring to is Dorothy says, I've just
- 19:45Speaker 5: been thrown out and out of an unauthorized Elvis fan club.
- 19:48Speaker 5: I'll try to pick up the pieces. of my life
- 19:51Speaker 5: or pick up the pieces and go on with my
- 19:53Speaker 5: life and that is my favorite line the no stump
- 19:57Speaker 5: bonus was what is the rest of that line oh
- 20:04Speaker 5: And that's where you guys were at. So I don't know.
- 20:07Speaker 3: Who gets a point. Well, how does she say it exactly?
- 20:11Speaker 5: She says, there must be a support group for people
- 20:14Speaker 5: like me.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Oh, he got support. I'd give it to him.
- 20:16Speaker 7: All right.
- 20:17Speaker 5: So give Book Daddy one bonus point. I get a
- 20:21Speaker 5: stump point for the question.
- 20:22Speaker 3: There you go.
- 20:24Speaker 5: And we'll skip asking for the no stump bonus since
- 20:29Speaker 5: clearly my friends don't love it as much as I do.
- 20:33Speaker 1: We didn't watch it 50 times.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Your favorite line is, I've got thrown out of an
- 20:38Speaker 3: unauthorized Elvis fan group.
- 20:42Speaker 1: How will I pick up the.
- 20:43Speaker 3: Pieces and move on with my life?
- 20:45Speaker 5: It's such a beautifully crafted line that really showcases the
- 20:51Speaker 5: sarcastic wit of Dorothy.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be afterglow.
- 20:56Speaker 8: No.
- 20:57Speaker 4: All right. Yeah, no, that's okay. I have lines like
- 21:02Speaker 4: that where I feel like I'm the only fan of
- 21:05Speaker 4: the creative genius behind the writing of it.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I've made my parents watch that episode because of that line, like,
- 21:14Speaker 5: unrelated to our show.
- 21:15Speaker 3: You looked at them, you're like, ah? Ah?
- 21:17Speaker 5: Come on, it's good, right? She's like... Well, and it's
- 21:21Speaker 5: the whole setup to that joke, too, because the real
- 21:25Speaker 5: winner of the lines that the writers probably thought were, like,
- 21:30Speaker 5: the killer was the there's no way that's real Elvis
- 21:36Speaker 5: would have never left that much meat on a pork
- 21:38Speaker 5: chop that's what they thought was the line that was
- 21:40Speaker 5: going to sell that scene but for me comedically I
- 21:43Speaker 5: just always felt like the way she delivered that like
- 21:46Speaker 5: I don't give a fuck you bitches I don't care
- 21:49Speaker 5: that I've been.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Thrown out like if someone quoted that to you you
- 21:52Speaker 3: would know they're a true fan.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Yeah 100% we're best friends now yeah alright okay.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Did we just become best friends? Yup.
- 22:00Speaker 5: Yup.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Want to do karate in the garage? Yup.
- 22:05Speaker 5: It's okay if mine's not movie quality. All right. Well,
- 22:13Speaker 5: we're going to do a finish the line. We haven't
- 22:15Speaker 5: done a finish the line in a couple episodes. And
- 22:18Speaker 5: that last one didn't exactly pan out. So don't worry.
- 22:21Speaker 5: I double loaded here. Or rather, what is the line
- 22:26Speaker 5: in reply to this line? That's probably a better way
- 22:29Speaker 5: to call it. Ma, what is going on here? Gina.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Afterglow.
- 22:37Speaker 8: Yep.
- 22:39Speaker 3: We just said it.
- 22:42Speaker 5: I know.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Well, look, I can't yell at everybody all the time.
- 22:45Speaker 1: As far as I didn't get yelled at.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Well, I've already. It could be anything. She could say
- 22:51Speaker 4: almost anything.
- 22:52Speaker 3: She says it so dreamily.
- 22:53Speaker 4: The Vienna Peace Conference. What do you think?
- 22:57Speaker 3: That's true. That's true. I don't know. I always remember
- 23:01Speaker 3: that one.
- 23:03Speaker 4: That was pretty funny.
- 23:04Speaker 5: This next one, I can almost guarantee y'all are going
- 23:08Speaker 5: to give me shit for it.
- 23:09Speaker 4: So..
- 23:11Speaker 5: Can't wait. What store are Sophia and Max registered at?
- 23:16Speaker 3: Kristen!
- 23:19Speaker 1: Jordan Marsh.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Yeah! Hey, you should give us a score tally now.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Kristen has one point. Erin has two. Book Daddy has three.
- 23:31Speaker 1: And Gina has three.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Is this me?
- 23:36Speaker 7: I didn't hear my point.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Erin and Abby have two. It's team scabs.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Can you share?
- 23:45Speaker 5: Maybe.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Be a good girl and share.
- 23:51Speaker 5: All right. When was the last time Sophia was a virgin? Aaron?
- 24:05Speaker 4: Was during the Great Depression?
- 24:07Speaker 5: No.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Damn.
- 24:09Speaker 3: It was earlier than that. I thought you said a number.
- 24:14Speaker 5: Oh.
- 24:14Speaker 7: Oh.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Oh.
- 24:14Speaker 3: I remember.
- 24:16Speaker 5: Okay. Gina? I remember.
- 24:17Speaker 3: When the Louisiana Purchase was an escrow.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what it was. Damn it.
- 24:23Speaker 5: It was that line, man. I think some of the
- 24:26Speaker 5: throwaway lines are a little bit more clever. I don't know.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Maybe the writers were getting more inventive.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Also, a fun drag queen that was on Dragula. Louisiana Purchase.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Great name. That's true.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 5: What does Aaron's favorite character in this episode, the caterer..
- 24:50Speaker 3: Girl Aaron?
- 24:50Speaker 4: Call..
- 24:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 24:52Speaker 5: What does girl Aaron..
- 24:53Speaker 8: No.
- 24:54Speaker 5: I was obsessed with the caterer character. I thought the caterer.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Was a lot of fun.
- 24:57Speaker 5: So I'd like you to tell me what does the
- 25:00Speaker 5: caterer call Dorothy? Gina. Stretch.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yep.
- 25:08Speaker 3: How are we beating Kristen?
- 25:10Speaker 1: Are you okay? Are you having the poops right now?
- 25:12Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on. Are you going to
- 25:14Speaker 5: poop yourself?
- 25:17Speaker 3: She's under the gluten.
- 25:18Speaker 5: I see you shiver with gluten poison.
- 25:24Speaker 4: He's got the towel. She's fine.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Protect the chair.
- 25:34Speaker 5: That was Gina. Sorry. I wrote stretch the first time.
- 25:38Speaker 5: That does not help me. Stretch gets the point. Stretch
- 25:42Speaker 5: gets the point.
- 25:43Speaker 3: You know how tall I am.
- 25:45Speaker 5: All right. For those of you who took notes, we
- 25:51Speaker 5: are switching into the second episode now.
- 25:53Speaker 8: All right.
- 25:54Speaker 1: All righty.
- 25:55Speaker 5: This next question is titled, Sophia Math.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Because the questions have titles.
- 26:03Speaker 5: Sometimes. According to Sophia, if Dorothy smokes only after sex,
- 26:07Speaker 5: how long will a pack of cigarettes last her? Book Daddy.
- 26:14Speaker 4: The rest of her life.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Poor Dorothy.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Mathematically.
- 26:22Speaker 3: No.
- 26:23Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:25Speaker 3: I'll hang a sign from my hump that says too
- 26:27Speaker 3: ugly to live.
- 26:30Speaker 5: I've already smoked the cigarette. Why don't you just blindfold
- 26:33Speaker 5: me and beat me or something? Yeah, shoot.
- 26:37Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:40Speaker 5: When Max enters the shower with Dorothy and mistakes her
- 26:43Speaker 5: for Sophia, what game does he say it's time for?
- 26:47Speaker 5: Book Daddy.
- 26:53Speaker 4: Connect the freckles.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:57Speaker 3: You ever played that game, Book Daddy?
- 26:59Speaker 4: Oh, man. Oh, my God.
- 27:04Speaker 5: It's so gross. I don't like it. And when he
- 27:07Speaker 5: gets out of the shower in that scene and walks
- 27:09Speaker 5: away and you see all his, like, freckles and stuff,
- 27:13Speaker 5: I was like, God, they'd be playing that all day.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Yeah, how are you going to do that in the shower?
- 27:17Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Can you explain it to me, Book Daddy? You're learned.
- 27:22Speaker 4: Not that learned.
- 27:23Speaker 3: All right.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Next question. What song does Max pay the saxophone player
- 27:31Speaker 5: to play? Wow. That was clunky. Book Daddy?
- 27:35Speaker 4: It had to be you.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Oh.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Oh.
- 27:39Speaker 3: He sang to us.
- 27:40Speaker 5: I almost want to give him a bonus point for
- 27:42Speaker 5: song styling.
- 27:43Speaker 4: It had to be you.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Hey.
- 27:45Speaker 1: All right.
- 27:47Speaker 5: I said almost. Don't get excited. Lovely.
- 27:49Speaker 4: That's fine. Thank you.
- 27:52Speaker 5: All right. Why did Uncle Gunter sprinkle Parmesan cheese in
- 27:58Speaker 5: his hair? Kristen.
- 28:04Speaker 6: To go with the croutons taped to his eyebrows. Do
- 28:08Speaker 6: you want me to go in?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Can I go into more detail?
- 28:10Speaker 5: If you want to, I don't ask another question.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Because he had a Caesar complex. Caesar, not Julius.
- 28:16Speaker 5: The salad. Caesar the salad, not Julius.
- 28:19Speaker 4: That was an incredible Rose moment. I love that. That
- 28:23Speaker 4: was honestly the one I thought you were referring to.
- 28:25Speaker 9: I am.
- 28:25Speaker 4: Me too.
- 28:27Speaker 5: It's a great line. You just hate throws.
- 28:30Speaker 8: It's okay.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I knew it would be a Dorothy line. I just
- 28:32Speaker 3: couldn't figure it out.
- 28:34Speaker 5: Honestly, I don't even know that Dorothy's always my favorite.
- 28:37Speaker 5: She's kind of a shitty person sometimes. Just kidding. When
- 28:42Speaker 5: it comes to the intelligent humor or the more verbose jokes,
- 28:49Speaker 5: it's always her. I don't know why. Anyway, okay. Good job, Kristen.
- 28:54Speaker 5: You got the point for that one. I think, I
- 28:56Speaker 5: feel like, because I want you to have a bonus
- 28:59Speaker 5: point for the Caesar complex, because that was a level
- 29:02Speaker 5: of detail I did not ask for, but wasn't.
- 29:05Speaker 4: It was so good. It was so good. Give it
- 29:07Speaker 4: to her. Oh, okay.
- 29:11Speaker 3: We have voted point.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you've been overruled, Kristen. Sorry, you take the point.
- 29:16Speaker 1: What are your pity points?
- 29:18Speaker 5: It's not a pity point it's.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Not a pity point you you earned that.
- 29:21Speaker 3: You elaborated it was extra credit i was.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Going to make another question and i was like i
- 29:27Speaker 5: don't want to write this.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Down you demonstrated impressive skill that was the point.
- 29:33Speaker 5: God damn it just take the fucking point.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I did i wrote it down.
- 29:37Speaker 5: I'm going to take two away if you don't take
- 29:39Speaker 5: the one. All right.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Resetting the buzzers. Punitive as fuck over here in the
- 29:48Speaker 5: quiz scene. All right.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Fuck you.
- 29:52Speaker 5: You win.
- 29:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 29:54Speaker 5: I'm going to ask two questions here. So part one
- 29:58Speaker 5: is going to be about the person. Part two will
- 30:02Speaker 5: be about something else. So I'm going to read part one.
- 30:05Speaker 5: So only details on a person.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Okay? Okay. All right.
- 30:10Speaker 5: What was the case with Fitz Fender Hooven's company?
- 30:18Speaker 1: What was the case?
- 30:20Speaker 5: Sorry. I don't know why I wrote it that way.
- 30:22Speaker 5: What was Fitz Fender Hooven's company?
- 30:28Speaker 4: Kristen.
- 30:29Speaker 1: It was the rocket car.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Oh, right.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Good.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Stop there. Yes. They built the Tenderhoeven rocket. Or Fenderhoeven rocket. Sorry,
- 30:45Speaker 5: I couldn't read my handwriting for a second. I didn't
- 30:47Speaker 5: convert all these. Okay. All right. So then.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Second question.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Don't forget to clear the buzzer.
- 30:55Speaker 2: That's right.
- 30:56Speaker 8: Okay.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Now, second question is about the vehicle. And nothing else.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Do not elaborate.
- 31:08Speaker 3: All right.
- 31:08Speaker 7: Okay.
- 31:11Speaker 5: How many wheels did the Fender Hooven rocket have? Kristen.
- 31:16Speaker 8: Eight.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Where is she going?
- 31:22Speaker 5: Okay. Final Fender Hooven question for you guys.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Hooven.
- 31:26Speaker 7: Okay.
- 31:29Speaker 5: What powered the Fender Hooven, and what was on the ad?
- 31:34Speaker 10: Dang.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Kristen, she's kicking butt now.
- 31:37Speaker 6: It was free fuel powered by cow maneuver, and the
- 31:40Speaker 6: ad was a cow.
- 31:42Speaker 1: On the gas tank reading the farmer's almanac. I think
- 31:45Speaker 1: you meant manure.
- 31:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you meant manure.
- 31:47Speaker 3: He said maneuver.
- 31:48Speaker 1: It's a maneuver.
- 31:50Speaker 5: I want a cow maneuver.
- 31:51Speaker 3: It's a maneuver. It's a maneuver.
- 31:53Speaker 5: I meant manure.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Triggering our Eddie Izzard.
- 31:57Speaker 5: I love that three of us immediately knew that was
- 32:00Speaker 5: Eddie Izzard. Kristen may have as well.
- 32:02Speaker 3: But she was crippled with laughter.
- 32:07Speaker 5: It's a manoeuvre.
- 32:13Speaker 4: If you ever want to make Stevie giggle instantly, all
- 32:16Speaker 4: you have to do is it's Eggs are for Fertility,
- 32:20Speaker 4: Buddies of a Shagging. It's the spring festival.
- 32:23Speaker 3: That's what gets him?
- 32:25Speaker 4: He will lose his shit every time. Without fail.
- 32:30Speaker 3: We got your number now, Stevie.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Something about that bit just cracks him the fuck up.
- 32:34Speaker 3: I'm going to go drive around town and put babies
- 32:37Speaker 3: on spikes.
- 32:39Speaker 5: Hey, that kid will be perfect for my film. The
- 32:43Speaker 5: Creeping Kid. Join us next week for our Eddie Izzard.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Thank you for flying to Church of England. Can't go deaf.
- 32:54Speaker 3: We're just going to call it a stand-up.
- 32:57Speaker 5: No, no, Kate. You said deaf first. Do you have
- 33:01Speaker 5: a flag?
- 33:01Speaker 4: You said deaf first.
- 33:04Speaker 3: So my choice is all deaf.
- 33:07Speaker 5: All right. If the listeners have not heard the Death
- 33:10Speaker 5: Star Cantina one, please listen.
- 33:13Speaker 1: This one's wet.
- 33:15Speaker 5: Are you Mr. Stevens from catering?
- 33:18Speaker 1: No, I'm Sir Lord Darth Vader.
- 33:21Speaker 5: You can put him in the tube. I mean, that
- 33:23Speaker 5: would be weird. Anyway, look. Do yourself a favor. Here's
- 33:30Speaker 5: the last question for the quiz. What caused the fire?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Kristen.
- 33:43Speaker 1: A faulty coil in the pizza oven.
- 33:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 33:46Speaker 3: It wasn't Billy Joel. He didn't start them.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Nice.
- 33:54Speaker 6: Hey. Hey.
- 33:57Speaker 5: Bonus point to Gina for the amazing Billy Joel joke.
- 34:01Speaker 5: You can't win anyway. It's going to be Aaron or Kristen.
- 34:04Speaker 5: So why not? All right. Who won? I don't know.
- 34:09Speaker 5: I lost track.
- 34:10Speaker 4: It's going to be Kristen. She just got like five
- 34:12Speaker 4: points in a row.
- 34:13Speaker 6: I got one just by. So Aaron had two. Gina
- 34:17Speaker 6: had five, but you gave her bonus points.
- 34:18Speaker 1: So Gina has six.
- 34:20Speaker 6: Erin has six, and you had a possible bonus point,
- 34:24Speaker 6: but you weren't sure, and then I had seven. So
- 34:26Speaker 6: I won by one point, only because you forced me
- 34:28Speaker 6: to take that point.
- 34:30Speaker 3: Pooping on the towel, and then she woke up.
- 34:33Speaker 7: Pooping on the towel, waking up.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Once Kristen wakes up, you really can't do anything about it.
- 34:40Speaker 3: That bowel shuts down. Her brain wakes up.
- 34:43Speaker 4: She just..
- 34:46Speaker 5: She can only operate one half of her body top
- 34:50Speaker 5: to bottom.
- 34:51Speaker 3: And then she's like, all right, let's do this.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I had to like pick up my finger speed on
- 34:55Speaker 1: the buzzer. That was the only hope. Cause I gave
- 34:58Speaker 1: Aaron my trick. So now I got to like, I
- 35:00Speaker 1: could have told them, Oh, just click it. I told
- 35:03Speaker 1: him this.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Gotta hope that her body is freeing itself of gluten.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Yes.
- 35:08Speaker 4: That gives you time to get in there.
- 35:11Speaker 3: Send her, tricky treats.
- 35:13Speaker 5: Like, honestly, that was an impressive comeback.
- 35:16Speaker 3: That would be mean.
- 35:19Speaker 4: That's assault.
- 35:20Speaker 3: That's probably a crime.
- 35:23Speaker 4: We at Omel and I do not recommend under any
- 35:26Speaker 4: circumstances trying to force feed your friend gluten. Just don't
- 35:31Speaker 4: do it.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Unless they consent for some weird reason. It puts the
- 35:35Speaker 3: gluten in its mouth or it gets the hose again.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Feed me a pretzel and call me pretty.
- 35:46Speaker 10: Human gluten feed give me some baby rash human gluten
- 35:50Speaker 10: feed is the next installment it's all only intolerant people
- 35:58Speaker 10: how long would it take for it to make the
- 36:01Speaker 10: person behind them like still sick i mean that would
- 36:05Speaker 10: be like a perfect shit storm.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Would it make them sick if it's just the poo.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Well, but if your body didn't process the gluten because
- 36:12Speaker 5: you're allergic and it continued.
- 36:13Speaker 3: We need a surgeon on the line.
- 36:15Speaker 5: Get some medical advice. I need to know.
- 36:18Speaker 4: Can you get another guest on when you get the
- 36:20Speaker 4: answers to these questions? Because I don't want to be here.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Okay, we'll email them to you.
- 36:24Speaker 4: I don't want to be here.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Can I just text you the answer?
- 36:26Speaker 4: I'm going to burn my email. I'm going to burn
- 36:29Speaker 4: my entire email server to the ground. AOL, fuck you.
- 36:32Speaker 4: You're going down. I'm sorry.
- 36:33Speaker 1: AOL.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Hey, that's going to affect my parents. Don't do that.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I can't read whatever they're saying.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Couldn't be bothered to get anything newer there, Aaron.
- 36:43Speaker 4: No, I'm moving to a new country and getting a
- 36:46Speaker 4: new phone number ASAP.
- 36:47Speaker 3: AirBear69420XX at AirBear.com.
- 36:48Speaker 5: The cool thing is we know that Stevo will lie
- 36:54Speaker 5: to anyone, so Stevie will lie to you and help us.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Ah, yeah, shit.
- 36:59Speaker 4: There is that loophole, isn't there?
- 37:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll buy him a giraffe and he'll tell me. Oh, fuck.
- 37:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that'll do it.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Well, congratulations, Kristen.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Yeah, congrats, Kristen.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Yeah, good job. You nailed it, man.
- 37:14Speaker 4: I'm glad you came out of the shitting stupor.
- 37:17Speaker 7: Alright.
- 37:18Speaker 4: And just started.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Careful, whoever... Whoever said I picked on Jeff.
- 37:25Speaker 4: I am so sorry.
- 37:26Speaker 3: She wasn't actually sharing.
- 37:28Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 37:29Speaker 1: You're totally fine.
- 37:31Speaker 3: We pick on Aaron so much. It's Kristen's turn.
- 37:34Speaker 4: I do feel like I'm being unnecessarily mean to Kristen
- 37:37Speaker 4: and I do apologize.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Oh, not at all.
- 37:39Speaker 4: You're fine.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Feels like she belongs.
- 37:46Speaker 3: You want some trivia?

- 39:46Speaker 3: known director He's.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Done a few things.
- 39:50Speaker 4: It's funny that I didn't notice him during the show,
- 39:53Speaker 4: but I caught his name in the credits and went,
- 39:55Speaker 4: what the fuck?
- 39:57Speaker 3: He's the one in the back middle that's just swinging
- 39:59Speaker 3: his arms like he's Captain Lou Albano.
- 40:02Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 40:04Speaker 3: In True Romance, it does feature an Elvis impersonator, so
- 40:08Speaker 3: I think he likes him. Tarantino said the residuals from
- 40:12Speaker 3: this help to fund Reservoir Dogs. Trivia upon trivia.
- 40:16Speaker 8: Nice.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 40:17Speaker 5: That's cool.
- 40:18Speaker 3: We've got a couple more credits from part two. Don
- 40:21Speaker 3: Maxwell is the fire chief. He was in Nightmare on
- 40:23Speaker 3: Elm Street. William E. Green as the sax player. That's
- 40:26Speaker 3: his only credit. David Avni as the pizza customer. Lots
- 40:31Speaker 3: of extra rolls.
- 40:32Speaker 9: Now.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Estelle Getty and Jack Guilford shared a birthday, which is
- 40:36Speaker 3: fucking today that we're recording on July 25th.
- 40:40Speaker 5: Shut up!
- 40:41Speaker 3: I saw that last night and I was like, no way!
- 40:44Speaker 1: Shit, that's crazy.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Happy birthday.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Happy birthday to both of them.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Estelle would have been 103.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Holy shit, man.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Jack died eight months after this aired from stomach cancer,
- 40:56Speaker 3: which is sad. Here's another sad one. Bea was a
- 40:59Speaker 3: heavy smoker and died of lung cancer.
- 41:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:02Speaker 3: So knock it off, kids.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Stuff said during the shows, they referenced Three Amigos, which
- 41:08Speaker 3: was a comedy movie starring Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, and
- 41:11Speaker 3: Martin Short in 1986.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I fucking love it.
- 41:14Speaker 3: It's one of my favorite comedies.
- 41:15Speaker 4: Three Amigos is an amazing comedy movie.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I don't. You know, maybe it didn't do well at
- 41:21Speaker 3: the box office. I'm not sure.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I don't think it did as well as they thought
- 41:24Speaker 1: it should.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Might be a cult classic.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Charles Boyer was a French-American actor. He was in over
- 41:34Speaker 3: 80 films.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Gaslight. That's a good movie.
- 41:41Speaker 3: PLO stands for Palestine Liberation Organization. She was saying they
- 41:45Speaker 3: were running the Elvis group like a PLO.
- 41:50Speaker 1: The Louisiana..
- 41:51Speaker 4: Fanaticism. Like the PLO.
- 41:54Speaker 3: The Louisiana Purchase was in 1803. We mentioned Merlin Olsen.
- 42:00Speaker 3: He was a football player, but they mentioned his flowers.
- 42:03Speaker 3: I had to do a little digging. He did FTD
- 42:05Speaker 3: florist ads in 1983.
- 42:07Speaker 5: Oh, holy shit. He was also on Little House on
- 42:13Speaker 5: the Prairie.
- 42:14Speaker 7: Oh, shit.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Had an acting turn.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Wow.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Susan Hayworth was mentioned. She was an actress. Many Oscar nominations.
- 42:22Speaker 3: She did an I Want to Live speech. She was
- 42:26Speaker 3: a death row inmate. Anita Bryant was a singer, but
- 42:30Speaker 3: she was opposed to gay rights, so fuck her.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:34Speaker 3: He called Blanche Anita Bryant. Aaron pointed this one out. Girl, Aaron,
- 42:40Speaker 3: they don't make butterscotch Lifesavers. They make butter rum.
- 42:44Speaker 5: They did? Okay, so I did find..
- 42:46Speaker 3: So they used to?
- 42:47Speaker 5: Well, so in 1952 is the only reference of butterscotch
- 42:52Speaker 5: Lifesavers that existed. It were three separate ads in magazines
- 42:56Speaker 5: where they used Scottish... plaid um and then the lifesavers
- 43:01Speaker 5: were either part of the bagpipe or in like a
- 43:03Speaker 5: scottish plat uh like tartan type wallet um and outside
- 43:08Speaker 5: of that rare production of that i literally can't find
- 43:11Speaker 5: that they ever existed beyond that 1952 attempt that there's
- 43:16Speaker 5: some pictures of them from like the christmas books of
- 43:19Speaker 5: lifesavers but as far as it being a widely released
- 43:22Speaker 5: flavor and around in the 80s. I can't find anything
- 43:26Speaker 5: and it looks like in 1981 when the Lifesaver company
- 43:30Speaker 5: got bought by Nabisco they discontinued a shit ton of
- 43:34Speaker 5: like old timey flavors so it could have been that
- 43:37Speaker 5: or it could have been an earlier 1965 drop but
- 43:40Speaker 5: either way for this episode those are either not safe
- 43:44Speaker 5: to eat or they do exist.
- 43:48Speaker 3: She did say she found them in her purse. Who
- 43:49Speaker 3: knows how old they were. Alright just a couple more here.
- 43:53Speaker 3: A Caesar complex refers to an intense drive for absolute power.
- 43:58Speaker 3: A Caesar salad complex, I guess, means you want to
- 44:01Speaker 3: look like a salad. They mentioned Ronald Coleman and Greer Garson.
- 44:08Speaker 3: They starred in a romantic drama called Random Harvest. That
- 44:13Speaker 3: is all I have. That was enough, though.
- 44:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it was plenty.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Who was our villain again?
- 44:19Speaker 5: Was it?
- 44:23Speaker 3: It was Rose.
- 44:24Speaker 5: I think it was Rose, right? Okay, well, I really
- 44:26Speaker 5: just only have two things for Rose. Pulled it out
- 44:28Speaker 5: of my ass again.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Well done.
- 44:33Speaker 5: So first of all, she totally ruins the wedding day.
- 44:38Speaker 5: She literally can't handle sending out wedding invitations. And like,
- 44:45Speaker 5: if you wrote down, you know, what, how many Elvis's
- 44:48Speaker 5: were there?
- 44:49Speaker 7: Eight?
- 44:49Speaker 1: Ten?
- 44:50Speaker 7: Names?
- 44:51Speaker 5: You write down 10 names you've never seen in your
- 44:54Speaker 5: life and aren't born at Petrillo or whatever Max's last
- 44:59Speaker 5: name was. And you don't realize you fucked up. And
- 45:04Speaker 5: then that's thing one.
- 45:05Speaker 7: Right.
- 45:06Speaker 5: So way to ruin this lady's probably last wedding ever.
- 45:08Speaker 5: You fucking turd. Second of all, she makes a little lassie.
- 45:14Speaker 5: They're saying, like, oh, Lassie, drunker than Lassie. But, like,
- 45:19Speaker 5: then she starts talking about how, like, is that why
- 45:21Speaker 5: Lassie always leaned to the side? Lay off the fucking dog, okay?
- 45:26Speaker 3: The dog had to wait.
- 45:28Speaker 5: Yeah. The dog was telling people things with its foot
- 45:33Speaker 5: or barking. It is doing so much as a dog.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Doing a lot better life than you, Rose.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Calm your tits, Rose. Yeah. Lassie did a lot more
- 45:42Speaker 5: with their life than you did, you dumb bitch. I
- 45:45Speaker 5: don't even hate Rose. I'm just so mad at her
- 45:47Speaker 5: for making fun of Lassie. And I think it honestly
- 45:49Speaker 5: must have upset her in some way to have to, like,
- 45:53Speaker 5: talk shit on a dog, probably.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Yeah, true.
- 45:56Speaker 5: She was probably like, I don't like this line. And
- 45:59Speaker 5: they were like, fucking say it.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Say it.
- 46:01Speaker 4: Dance monkey.
- 46:02Speaker 5: That's my story.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Good job.
- 46:08Speaker 3: What did you guys think of the Super Size episode?
- 46:12Speaker 1: I liked it. There were... A lot of cute and
- 46:16Speaker 1: funny moments. When you mentioned in your trivia about the
- 46:20Speaker 1: fire guy, I loved that. She's like, cuff me! And
- 46:24Speaker 1: he's like, I'd rather take you to dinner first and
- 46:26Speaker 1: then we can play it by ear.
- 46:27Speaker 3: Yeah, she almost got a date out of that.
- 46:30Speaker 4: I know.
- 46:32Speaker 3: You don't often get Dorothy getting hit on randomly. You'd
- 46:34Speaker 3: think it'd be Blanche.
- 46:37Speaker 5: I also felt like he was a little bit on
- 46:39Speaker 5: the younger side, too. Like, Who's getting a hotter, younger
- 46:45Speaker 5: guy out of that? That's for free. And real.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Would you guys eat a pizza and a knish together?
- 46:53Speaker 4: Fuck yeah. I don't know about together.
- 46:56Speaker 3: I've never had a knish, but it sounds good.
- 46:59Speaker 4: I would absolutely try a pizza made by the Golden Coast, though.
- 47:03Speaker 5: Yeah, 100%. I had a bacon, potato, wait, bacon, lettuce,
- 47:08Speaker 5: and potato sandwich.
- 47:09Speaker 3: You did at the pop-up!
- 47:12Speaker 5: Yep. That's right.
- 47:14Speaker 3: I had meatballs.
- 47:16Speaker 8: No.
- 47:19Speaker 5: Sophia Meatballs.
- 47:20Speaker 8: Surely not, no.
- 47:22Speaker 1: The meatball ate a meatball. That just sounds wrong.
- 47:25Speaker 4: It was delicious.
- 47:27Speaker 5: Cannibalism.
- 47:30Speaker 3: I think Aaron's bet was more correct. They don't get
- 47:34Speaker 3: an annulment, but they just.
- 47:37Speaker 4: Yeah yeah it was the third thing that i didn't
- 47:39Speaker 4: die that they they they agreed to mutually i don't know.
- 47:44Speaker 3: If we were recording then when you guys made that
- 47:45Speaker 3: little bet.
- 47:47Speaker 6: Now did they ever address that like in the future
- 47:50Speaker 6: like the fact that she's still married technically.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Or i don't think we speak or hear of jack
- 47:55Speaker 3: again well no maybe in a flashback max yeah or
- 48:00Speaker 3: max sorry.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just curious.
- 48:03Speaker 4: Well, as we heard, the actor who played him passes
- 48:05Speaker 4: away eight months later, so..
- 48:06Speaker 3: Right, that seems to be their curse.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Like, Angela just died, so they brought in Angelo.
- 48:14Speaker 7: Ouch.
- 48:17Speaker 5: It's me, Angelo.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Fucking Herb Edelman was probably like, fuck.
- 48:22Speaker 4: It's me, Dan.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Each time he didn't die, they were like, well, we gotta..
- 48:26Speaker 3: It's my identical twin, Dan.
- 48:29Speaker 5: Each time he didn't die, man, they had to bring
- 48:31Speaker 5: him back. They're like, well, it keeps living.
- 48:34Speaker 3: They were just trying to kill off for a little bit.
- 48:40Speaker 5: Amazing.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Well, that's a risky run with old people. If you
- 48:45Speaker 3: have kids on your show, they grow up too fast.
- 48:46Speaker 3: And if you have old people, like in Night Court,
- 48:48Speaker 3: they went through, what, two bailiff ladies?
- 48:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Or like the male Golden Girls.
- 48:57Speaker 3: Oh, the mid-century moderns?
- 48:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Where the mom died.
- 49:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:02Speaker 3: In the first season.
- 49:03Speaker 5: And that canceled the show.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it was sad.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Is that what did it?
- 49:07Speaker 5: Kind of, yeah.
- 49:08Speaker 3: She was, like, a great part of it.
- 49:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 49:13Speaker 3: Did you check out that show, Aaron?
- 49:17Speaker 4: I have no idea what you're talking about.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Oh, Mid-Century Monica? it was hyped as like the boy
- 49:21Speaker 3: version of the golden girls.
- 49:24Speaker 1: That was really cute i've never even heard of it.
- 49:27Speaker 3: Oh okay i just did one season we we enjoyed
- 49:29Speaker 3: it yeah it was great on the line i approved.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Well speaking of approvals we all approve of you aaron
- 49:38Speaker 5: Where can people find you and your high quality, exciting book?
- 49:43Speaker 3: Yay.
- 49:43Speaker 5: Why?
- 49:43Speaker 6: Okay.
- 49:46Speaker 4: So you can follow me online, various places at pantsless Aaron.
- 49:53Speaker 4: I pretty much all the social media platforms, except X
- 49:55Speaker 4: fuck X.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:59Speaker 4: You can check out my own podcast at BFYTW. We
- 50:03Speaker 4: do a lot of fun things. And we love crossing
- 50:05Speaker 4: over with our friends at Anla and I any chance
- 50:09Speaker 4: we get.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Our brothers!
- 50:12Speaker 4: And let's see here. Yeah, I also have written a
- 50:15Speaker 4: couple of books. Fiction novels that I enjoy writing. I've
- 50:21Speaker 4: got two out and a third on the way. Thane,
- 50:24Speaker 4: T-H-A-N-E by Aaron Randolph and Rekha and the Inevitability of
- 50:29Speaker 4: Life also by Aaron Randolph. And you can find them
- 50:33Speaker 4: wherever fine books are sold and possibly places where shitty
- 50:36Speaker 4: ones are sold.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Just throw everyone a twist with the third one, make
- 50:40Speaker 3: it a pop-up book.
- 50:43Speaker 4: I mean, to be fair, I have already gone genre hopping. Like, uh,
- 50:47Speaker 4: Thane is a, Thane is a mystery thriller. Uh, uh,
- 50:51Speaker 4: Rekha is a fantasy adventure. Uh, and now book three
- 50:54Speaker 4: is a straight up murder mystery. So, uh, The three
- 50:59Speaker 4: books in the series have a plot in common, but
- 51:02Speaker 4: I'm genre-hopping like mad.
- 51:05Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 51:07Speaker 5: Abby is also alert. We're both like, did you say
- 51:11Speaker 5: murder mystery?
- 51:12Speaker 3: Have you guys not gotten to read any yet?
- 51:16Speaker 4: Yes, I did.
- 51:19Speaker 1: I knew it was a murder mystery.
- 51:21Speaker 5: I didn't know that part. To be fair, I'm about
- 51:24Speaker 5: six months behind on everyone's podcasts, including my own.
- 51:28Speaker 1: So now I think he told us for backing the Kickstarter.
- 51:33Speaker 1: It was on our personal message.
- 51:35Speaker 5: There's a book three Kickstarter.
- 51:36Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 51:38Speaker 3: For the audio book.
- 51:40Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. I don't read my email. That's that's fair.
- 51:45Speaker 7: All right.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Aaron has to send out a second email for Blood
- 51:50Speaker 5: on the Clock Tower that always says, hey, did you.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Did you want to do this? Because you didn't answer me. Anyway.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Dickhead. Did you check your messages? I was.
- 52:01Speaker 7: All right.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Listen, I was concerned because I had to put an
