- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: something happened between Donald Trump and Pope Leo the 14th that the Vatican simply never saw coming.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't mean the tweets.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: I don't mean the true social broads sides.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean something structural.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_01]: Something that may have permanently altered the political power, this papacy, before it even got started.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_01]: Because here's the question, nobody in the legacy media is asking.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_01]: How does the first American pope in 2000 years of church history?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_01]: A man who came out of the gate with the full backing of the globalist left with breathless media coverage, how does that man end up in a position where he has to publicly walk back his own words?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Something happened, and when you see exactly what Trump did and why it worked,
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: You're good on understand, not just this conflict, but the entire civilizational battle that's building underneath it.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm a painter professor here though.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: You make sense of the madness with breaking news and analysis you're not going to get anywhere else.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know what to do, make sure to smack that bell and subscribe.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm sure you all know that Pope Leo, the first American Pope from Chicago, as it turns out he's, he has a history of pushing politically leftist talking points.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's good buds with Obama's right hand man, David Axelrod.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say don't see eye to eye on things and we found that out ironically on Easter Sunday when President Trump chose that moment to post a social media threat to Iran.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: That was really graphic.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: It was really scorched earth and even shocked his own supporters.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: The president promised the end of an entire civilization in Iran is just hours away.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: If Iran did not comply with the military deadline of 8pm that evening.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_01]: Now, ironically, again, the threat worked Iran capitulated.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: They blinked and the ceasefire was agreed to.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: That's held up ever since for nearly a month.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: But Pope Leo saw things very differently.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: He decided for whatever reason that it would be a good idea to insert himself into this geopolitical conflict.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: He called Trump's threat to destroy the regime, he said, entire civilization, as truly unacceptable.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the words he used.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: He said attacks on civilian infrastructure were quote, violations of international law and represented the hatred division and destruction that humanity is capable of.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now, despite the fact that the international law he appealed to was gone the way of the Dodo bird.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Despite him appealing to anachronistic forms of law and international protocol and precedent, it didn't matter.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: The liberal-globalist media absolutely lost their minds with joy over the CNN, Al-Jazeera Rolling Stone USA Today, they ran breathless pieces about how this first American Pope was going to be the moral hammer that finally brought down Donald J. Trump.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: Al-Jazeera ran an op-ed titled The Pope has shown the world how to stand up to Trump.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: USA today warned that Trump's feud with Leo was dividing Catholics and now the globalists had found their new champion and they were giddy.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: They were so excited to get even Bill Mar was somewhat taken aback when these liberal globalists outlets that normally are very critical of the papacy suddenly see the popos their new champion.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: But then Trump did what he always does.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't flinch, he didn't apologize.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: He went on true social, and he unloaded.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: He called Leo week on crime and terrible for foreign policy.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I don't want to poke who thinks it's OK for Ron to have a nuclear weapon.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I don't want to poke who criticizes the president of the United States because I'm doing exactly what I was elected in a landslide to do.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then Trump dropped what may be the most audacious line any sitting American president has ever directed at a sitting Pope.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: He wrote that he wasn't on any list to be on Pope.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: talking about Robert Pravos, who Leo was before becoming Pope.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't on any list to be Pope.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: He was only there because he was an American.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: And they thought that he would be the best one to deal with President Donald J. Trump.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: If I wasn't in the White House, this is Trump.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: He said, if I wasn't in the White House, Leo wouldn't be in the Vatican.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: you have to let that sink in for a moment.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: The president of the United States just publicly stated on the global stage that the Pope of Rome owes him his job.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: If Trump weren't in office, Leo wouldn't be anywhere near the papacy today.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if you thought the escalation stopped there,
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's just say you did it.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hiccuping all of that.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what President Trump had to say just the other day.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Best of you hoping to live this slowly.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I can tell you this that as far as the Pope is concerned, it's very simple.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Whether I make him happy or I don't make him happy, a ran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: and he seemed to be saying that they can and I say they cannot because if that happened the entire world would be hostage and we're not gonna let that happen.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: That's my only message.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: And Catholics largely agree with the President over the Pope.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: A poll released in the midst of the height of their conflict found that Trump actually gained support among Catholics.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: He gained support.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_01]: This pope, when all is said and done, is not particularly that popular among more conservative Catholic lady.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: Trump himself exposed then Robert Pravos's own ex-account when he was Cardinal, and he showed, and by the way, it was subsequently deleted after his chosen to be Pope, but it didn't matter.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: We found out that it was filled with far-left retweets and political approvals that the church clearly did not want the world to see.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: but Trump reposes him before they were completely scrub.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And what they revealed was a pope with a distinctly partisan left-wing political wing, one that the media was perfectly happy to weaponize against the elected president of the United States.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I think the key reason why Trump got the upper hand on pope Leo.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: is he exposed his radical and frankly embarrassing hypocrisy, his utterly selective moral outrage.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Trump pointed out that when Iran executed tens of thousands of its own people, innocent
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: He said nothing.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: The Catholic Church, the Vatican, was silent.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: Now one word, a staggering silence given Leo's injection, injecting of himself into the conflict without applying his moral standard consistently.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Trump bad, but Mueller's ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: And as such, Leo is walking in the footsteps of his predecessor, Francis, who consistently defended third-worlders around the globe all the while excoriating the supposed crimes and ills of the very Western civilization that gave him the cathedrals he sits at.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Bottom line, one leader is willing to defend Western civilization while the other consistently
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, what's really going on here between Trump and the Pope?
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: That is what we're about to find out.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: But first, let me ask you a serious question, if you could earn consistent double-digit returns guaranteed by law, would you still risk your money in volatile markets?
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: Because most investments today come with a catch.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: I recently came across a method that works completely differently from a friend of mine,
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's backed by government authority, the returns are set by state law, and you can literally test the waters with as little as 50 bucks.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_01]: No market timing, no complicated strategies, no dealing with tenants, no rehabs, and it doesn't take over your life either, just a couple of spare hours a week.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: Now, here's the part that really caught my attention.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: This is the kind of predictable, law-based return strategy that banks and hedge funds have quietly been using for years, but it's a strategy that's been hidden and kept secret from most everyday Americans.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: But that's starting to change.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I asked Jay how long it would take him to teach me, and he told me he could break the entire thing down and actually walk through it live in less than an hour.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when I asked him to do the same for you, my audience, and he agreed.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: James hosting a free live masterclass this Tuesday, May 12th at 8 p.m. Eastern 5 p.m. Pacific, where he'll show you exactly how the strategy works, why the returns are guaranteed by law,
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: and how every day Americans can get started with very little time and very little money.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: But it's live only, no replays.

- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: What we have to understand here is that this rift between the Pope and the President is the latest and most dramatic battle in a much larger civilizational war over who speaks authoritatively for the Christian West.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: The progressive wing of the Catholic Church, which is dominated the Vatican bureaucracies since the second Vatican Council in the 1960s, understands something with perfect clarity.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: It understands that of Catholic voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, stay with Trump and Vans through 2028.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: The liberal project in America is finished.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: Nearly 60% of Catholics voted for Trump in 2024.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: So the Vatican deployed the one political asset and their geopolitical arsenal that they had left, the moral authority of the papacy itself.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: They elected an American Pope, a Chicago and no less, precisely because they believe he would be the most effective instrument for peeling Catholic conservatives away from the Trump coalition.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: and I think Trump is right.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: It does appear to have been a deliberate strategy.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: And by all appearances, it has failed.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: And it failed because of the massive riff, the chasm that's opened up between the political orientation of the Vatican, which we might describe as the Davos Vatican, given their alliance with the World Economic Forum and Leo's ridiculous blessing of a block of ice at a climate summit.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: There's this massive chasm between the Davos Vatican and the values interests and concerns of the vast majority of American Catholics that want nothing to do with Davos Vatican values.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_01]: That Vatican tries to present itself as politically neutral when in reality,
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's long been recognized that it's been systematically co-opted by international left-wing ideology, open borders, global governance, radical climate alarmism, and it consistently deploys that ideology against nationalist populace and sovereignty-based political movements that rank and file Catholics overwhelmingly support.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: So the Vatican isn't just setting itself up against Trump.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's setting itself up against the very Catholic voters who fill their views, those views every Sunday.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: But at a larger scale, I think what we're watching here is the emergence of what scholars call Theo politics as the defining battleground of 21st century global politics.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: The reemergence of religion, not as a soft cultural backdrop, but as a central driver of international relations, electoral coalitions, and civilizational identity, is the biggest political story that the legacy media has no framework whatsoever to understand or explain.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_01]: So on one side, you got what I call Davos Vatican.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: The progressive wing of a global institution that speaks the language of human dignity in the gospel, while aligning itself with open borders, supernatural, national governance, and the managed decline of the Christian West.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: On the other, you got Trump and Vance, and the world they represent, a civilizational nationalism that fuses Christian heritage, national sovereignty, and a willingness to use military and economic power in unapologetic defense of Western interests.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: And the American Catholic Lady from Tom Homan, our borders are to the millions of faithful in those pues, they've chosen a side.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: They chose it in 2016, they chose it again in 2020 and they chose it yet again in 2024.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: And as a result,
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Leo has been forced to blink more than once.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_01]: He walked back his original tyrants comment.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: He said he's not a politician that he is no interest in getting involved in American politics or starting a war with Donald Trump.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's right now as we speak, meeting with Marco Rubio today to obviously smooth out things between Washington and the Vatican.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I would argue in many ways it's too late.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Trump has effectively exposed the political project embedded in this papacy.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: Trump has forced the Vatican to come to him diplomatically, publicly unmistakably.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's demonstrated to 60-plus percent of American Catholics that their spiritual leader was being used as a political instrument by the same globalist left that lost them in 2024.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: and he's made it impossible for Pope Leo to function as the progressive movements champion without paying a massive credibility calls every single time he tries.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: John Paul II changed the world by wielding the moral authority, the papacy, with the grain, along the grain of Western civilization, in alliance with Reagan and Thatcher against Soviet Communism.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: Pope Leo,
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: is trying to wield that same moral authority, but against the grain, against the elected president of the United States, against the Democratic will of the Catholic majority in America, in alignment instead with Axelrod and Davos and the legacy media.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: And Donald Trump hit back hard repeatedly publicly.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: The era of top-down progressive papal politics aimed at American conservatives is over.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: The message has been sent, and Leo knows it.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_01]: And if he doesn't, President Trump will be all too willing and able to remind him.
