- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Of course, I'm your host, Clay, and with me, of course,
- 0:27Speaker 2: like always is Katie, Katie the drama loving queen. All right, right,
- 0:40Speaker 2: I want you to I want you to know. Abby
- 0:44Speaker 2: is very passionate about this, and it got to a
- 0:49Speaker 2: point where we got into like a little bit of
- 0:52Speaker 2: a heated argument because the one thing that Abby hates
- 0:56Speaker 2: about me is I always if I'm introduced into a conversation,
- 1:04Speaker 2: I am always the Devil's advocate because I have no
- 1:07Speaker 2: context of anything. I'm like, Okay, before I get any
- 1:11Speaker 2: more information, let's play Devil's advocate, because this is what
- 1:16Speaker 2: I am hearing, and I will take the benefit of
- 1:18Speaker 2: the doubt for these other people. And now I am
- 1:25Speaker 2: completely aware of what the controversy is. And people, if
- 1:30Speaker 2: you don't know what we're talking.
- 1:31Speaker 3: About, gave no context at all.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I gave no context at all. Blake Lively has a
- 1:37Speaker 2: movie that is out is actually doing really well for
- 1:42Speaker 2: a what she advertises in markets as a rom com
- 1:48Speaker 2: but and in fact is the.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Author advertises as a rom com as well.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's not really all it's not, which is
- 1:59Speaker 4: really bad when your marketing does not hit the market
- 2:05Speaker 4: at all.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But if you guys want to look up the controversy,
- 2:10Speaker 2: look it up. It's starting to be like a lot
- 2:12Speaker 2: bigger than I thought it was going to be. There's
- 2:16Speaker 2: like a crisis, like a PR crisis manager being hired
- 2:21Speaker 2: and all sorts of stuff. It's getting really icky. But
- 2:26Speaker 2: shameless plug. If you would like to hear more of
- 2:29Speaker 2: an opinion in conversation about it, my wife is having
- 2:35Speaker 2: a podcast episode about it. If you want to look
- 2:40Speaker 2: up the Birthday Beats podcast, she will be talking with
- 2:45Speaker 2: her host all about the controversy. So go listen to that.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun
- 2:52Speaker 2: and also not a lot of fun just because of
- 2:54Speaker 2: the subject matter, but it is what it is. So Katie,
- 2:59Speaker 2: we're completely wrong on almost all accounts for D twenty three.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It's gonna be a conversation except for one. We're going
- 3:11Speaker 2: to have a conversation about that. We have a trailer
- 3:15Speaker 2: to talk about, and of course we have started a
- 3:20Speaker 2: new trilogy of books to review, yes with what is
- 3:25Speaker 2: known as the Aftermath Trilogy, and we're going to be
- 3:28Speaker 2: talking about that first book tonight. So there is a
- 3:31Speaker 2: lot going on, Katie, a part of D twenty three.
- 3:37Speaker 2: What do you want to talk about first?
- 3:40Speaker 3: Well, I would say, let's go ahead knock this out
- 3:45Speaker 3: of the books. There was no new show announcement in
- 3:49Speaker 3: it or live action. There was movie talk about Mandalorian.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And grogu mm hmmm.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Because what we have doubted is less from Star Wars
- 4:03Speaker 3: right now.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I'm really surprised we did not put that in our
- 4:06Speaker 2: predictions at all.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I'm surprised too. I completely forgot about it, if I'm
- 4:11Speaker 3: being honest.
- 4:14Speaker 2: So, yeah, there was no announcements, and I believe you
- 4:19Speaker 2: shared a tweet that kind of gave us the heads up.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It was from somebody named Dan Grievous over on Twitter,
- 4:34Speaker 2: the Tykes fan. It says tomorrow, expect nothing and you
- 4:38Speaker 2: won't be disappointed, and it is the part of the scheduling.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It says a conversation with Lucasfilm Animation twelve pm at
- 4:46Speaker 2: Lucasfilm Booth and they talk and reflect about the two
- 4:51Speaker 2: decades of animation, and that's exactly what they did. I
- 4:58Speaker 2: was dis appointed with no confirmation of season two's of
- 5:08Speaker 2: no new shows now a part of the no new content.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We did get a quote from Haarah herself Vanessa Marshall
- 5:26Speaker 2: at the panel, and she said, there's so much more
- 5:31Speaker 2: to come, and of course people are like, there's something, but.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Like there's always something, There's.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Always something, and here's here's the thing that I want
- 5:43Speaker 2: to ask you, Katie. So we know that. There was
- 5:49Speaker 2: also not a whole lot of unknown quote unquote announcements
- 5:54Speaker 2: for the MCU at D twenty three as well, and
- 5:59Speaker 2: it was more so because they've said previously, hey, we're
- 6:04Speaker 2: going to draw back on some things. We're not going
- 6:07Speaker 2: to be pushing newer announcements or newer content until the
- 6:11Speaker 2: stuff that we have already planned in the near future
- 6:15Speaker 2: is finished. Right. We know that has been true and
- 6:19Speaker 2: they kind of confirmed to here at D twenty three.
- 6:22Speaker 2: My thing is, did Lucasfilm really need to do the same,
- 6:27Speaker 2: because we had even less coverage of what is in
- 6:33Speaker 2: the near future for Lucasfilm at D twenty three.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Yep, yeah, we had and or we had skeleton crew
- 6:47Speaker 3: and uh we had a mid learning grogu and that
- 6:52Speaker 3: was it. Like we said, no new show announcements, and
- 6:57Speaker 3: you've got to be thinking, Okay, when are we going
- 7:02Speaker 3: to get new show announcements, because right now the only
- 7:07Speaker 3: thing they have set to go for twenty twenty five
- 7:11Speaker 3: is and Or mm hmm, So where is that gonna
- 7:18Speaker 3: go in the list? Are we gonna Are we gonna
- 7:20Speaker 3: be waiting a full year to get and Or season
- 7:22Speaker 3: two so that they can stretch it out.
- 7:26Speaker 2: My worry and I feel like it's very, very silly
- 7:32Speaker 2: and stupid to do. So my worry is Lucasfilm is like, hey,
- 7:39Speaker 2: there was such a pop over at Star Wars celebration
- 7:44Speaker 2: twenty twenty three, Let's wait until twenty twenty five celebration
- 7:52Speaker 2: to make major announcements, which is only April.
- 7:56Speaker 3: It's only April.
- 7:58Speaker 2: It's only April. It's only April. But you still have
- 8:05Speaker 2: four months of this year with the only new content
- 8:13Speaker 2: came out. I believe today as of we're recording to this,
- 8:17Speaker 2: Young Jedi Adventures is the only new content that has
- 8:23Speaker 2: come out for Disney Plus since of course The Acolyte.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But like, it's very frustrating because for me, in my mind,
- 8:36Speaker 2: and of course it can be completely different because of
- 8:40Speaker 2: scheduling on everybody else's behalf and everything else, But like,
- 8:45Speaker 2: in my mind, you make announcements and then you work
- 8:49Speaker 2: towards those announcements, right, So you don't work towards those
- 8:53Speaker 2: announcements and then make the announcement. Like that's not really
- 8:57Speaker 2: the way things go, especially because for the most part,
- 9:02Speaker 2: a lot of things would get like spoiled as far
- 9:05Speaker 2: as the surprise, because people like Daniel Rbka and all
- 9:08Speaker 2: these scoopers would be like, hey, why are these people
- 9:10Speaker 2: like moving to these locations and why is there a
- 9:13Speaker 2: lot of rumblings of like these actors doing this, and
- 9:16Speaker 2: it would ruin the surprise. But for me, I would
- 9:20Speaker 2: think you need to start getting Ahsoka season two, like
- 9:26Speaker 2: that needs to get rolling, Like I don't I know
- 9:29Speaker 2: that it's rolling in like behind the scenes, but as
- 9:33Speaker 2: far as like production and everything else, because we like
- 9:39Speaker 2: I feel like I'm already starving for content, and I know.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I shouldn't feel that way, but because like you just said,
- 9:47Speaker 5: and or is not until when of twenty twenty five August,
- 9:53Speaker 5: like a whole year.
- 9:55Speaker 3: We don't know, We don't know when it will come
- 9:57Speaker 3: out ideally because it was set to be this fall
- 10:03Speaker 3: winter time frame because the two years from twenty twenty two,
- 10:08Speaker 3: so they were like, Okay, we're already in production, but
- 10:11Speaker 3: then the strike happened, so ideally it's only going to
- 10:15Speaker 3: delay it by like February March timeframe. Probably most likely
- 10:24Speaker 3: we're looking at it premieres its celebration. Let's be real,
- 10:28Speaker 3: like there I do premiere at celebration.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I think it would be nice to premiere right before celebration,
- 10:36Speaker 2: so that way you can get some of those interviews,
- 10:38Speaker 2: you can have the conversations about the show. It just
- 10:44Speaker 2: it just irks me because we as fans feel so
- 10:50Speaker 2: out of the loop and we're like, we don't know
- 10:52Speaker 2: what's happening in our fandom. We don't know what shows
- 10:54Speaker 2: are happening, and I just don't like that feeling.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Well, I yeah, I agree, But you know, we're also
- 11:03Speaker 3: part of the fandom that really enjoys the book productions. Yes,
- 11:08Speaker 3: and we've got a crap ton of books coming, and
- 11:10Speaker 3: we've got Mace Windu in October, We've got High Republic
- 11:15Speaker 3: this month and next month, next High Republic in December,
- 11:19Speaker 3: and then New Book in February, and then more Disney
- 11:24Speaker 3: books March and April to kind of lead into everything.
- 11:28Speaker 3: So we are part of the blessed group of fandom
- 11:32Speaker 3: who reads.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So to have I was gonna say, we do have
- 11:37Speaker 2: content that can I guess like fulfill us for the
- 11:44Speaker 2: time being. But again it's the knowing Okay, Ohsoka Season
- 11:50Speaker 2: two has already been somewhat announced slash not announced, you know,
- 11:58Speaker 2: because the only thing was a ease from Foloney with
- 12:02Speaker 2: the sketch, and that was it.
- 12:04Speaker 3: It was it was confirmed in the Mandalorian and Grogu announcement.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Was it okay okay Yeah.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Is producing and is currently at work.
- 12:14Speaker 2: On okay okay okay, so okay, So we know things
- 12:20Speaker 2: are moving, They're just not moving fast enough. And I
- 12:23Speaker 2: think that's just me being impatient for for wanting that
- 12:28Speaker 2: story to continue, because again that is untouched territory in
- 12:39Speaker 2: that gap that we are assuming is also going to
- 12:45Speaker 2: be fulfilled in comics as well. Like that is that
- 12:48Speaker 2: is something that we're right within Marvel that's still takes yeah,
- 12:55Speaker 2: within the gap there. So like I just I want you,
- 13:00Speaker 2: and I think more so I'm feeling that way because
- 13:06Speaker 2: right now I'm not watching anything. There's nothing on my
- 13:11Speaker 2: schedule that I'm like I have to wake up early
- 13:15Speaker 2: on this day to get this watched, or like, hey,
- 13:18Speaker 2: I need to watch this like first thing Saturday morning,
- 13:21Speaker 2: so that way it won't get spoiled and all of
- 13:24Speaker 2: this stuff, which I think is technically a good thing,
- 13:27Speaker 2: Like hey, Clay, relax a little bit, but I'm also bored,
- 13:31Speaker 2: you know. It's just like I want something new. Granted,
- 13:37Speaker 2: we did, in fact get a new manga, of course,
- 13:43Speaker 2: Edge of Balance Volume three mine is coming in tomorrow,
- 13:48Speaker 2: so we will have that for you guys next week.
- 13:52Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just going to take a while. And
- 13:55Speaker 2: I know that we will eventually get Young Jedi Adventure
- 14:00Speaker 2: is watched for you guys as well, and review that
- 14:03Speaker 2: that is on our schedule. But I don't know. It
- 14:07Speaker 2: feels off, especially because like the one thing that I
- 14:12Speaker 2: told you last week, I was like, oh, these movie
- 14:16Speaker 2: announcements won't happen because it's D twenty three. It's all
- 14:20Speaker 2: about TV shows, and the entire D twenty three was
- 14:24Speaker 2: all about movies. I was egg on my face. That's
- 14:29Speaker 2: how I felt.
- 14:31Speaker 3: It was fifty fifty.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It was fifty. I would say like it was seventy
- 14:38Speaker 2: five twenty five. It felt like there was a lot
- 14:41Speaker 2: of movie announcements. You have like the Stitch No White,
- 14:45Speaker 2: you have a shoot Avatar, Avatar three, Incredibles three, Yeah,
- 14:54Speaker 2: oh incredible three. Like you had a lot of movie announcements,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and of course they shared a little bit more for
- 15:03Speaker 2: the MCU stuff, fantastic for Thunderbolts, things like that. I'm
- 15:08Speaker 2: just like I thought D twenty three was like TV
- 15:12Speaker 2: stuff like that was the big argument last year when
- 15:16Speaker 2: we were talking to of course, over at Marvel Allance Chris.
- 15:20Speaker 2: You know, he's the person who asked stock in Disney.
- 15:24Speaker 2: He has all of the information with Disney. He has
- 15:28Speaker 2: I think he's showed interest in wanting to go to
- 15:30Speaker 2: D twenty three in the future, and so he's informative
- 15:33Speaker 2: of that stuff, and so he's told us D twenty
- 15:35Speaker 2: three is for TV shows. I'm like, okay, cool, that's
- 15:37Speaker 2: the president that I have moving forward, that D twenty
- 15:41Speaker 2: three is for TV, and that is not what it showed.
- 15:46Speaker 3: And so.
- 15:48Speaker 2: To get no confirmation for the future TV at Lucasfilm,
- 15:54Speaker 2: I was a bit upset. Like you had the the
- 15:59Speaker 2: I'm sure it was very wonderful and I want to
- 16:00Speaker 2: go back to see if I can find clips of
- 16:02Speaker 2: it or at least like a article that kind of
- 16:05Speaker 2: summed everything up. But like the stuff from Manny Jacinto
- 16:09Speaker 2: at the Alcolyte. You know, I'm sure that conversation was
- 16:12Speaker 2: very lovely and he was very enthusiastic about the Q
- 16:14Speaker 2: and A and stuff. But like season two, where are you?
- 16:21Speaker 2: You know, all the speculation of one Season two, like
- 16:25Speaker 2: all of these silly little things. I would have taken anything, anything,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and we got nothing.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I am more. I guess with and I don't
- 16:36Speaker 3: know if because I'm typically very impatient, but I guess
- 16:39Speaker 3: with like the baby and stuff, and I'm like, dang,
- 16:42Speaker 3: I can't read like fast enough. I'm like, I'll see
- 16:47Speaker 3: what happens. I don't know. But let's talk about the
- 16:56Speaker 3: Mandalorian Angrogu footage that was shown, because there was, in
- 17:03Speaker 3: fact footage shown, specifically the fact that Garazebarelius will be
- 17:12Speaker 3: in the movie. What did you think about that?
- 17:16Speaker 2: This? I felt was something that we could have easily
- 17:23Speaker 2: guessed just because of his appearance in season three was
- 17:29Speaker 2: very small. It felt like the most cameo thing like
- 17:35Speaker 2: zeb being in season three felt like the most MCU
- 17:38Speaker 2: cameo I have ever seen in Star Wars because it
- 17:41Speaker 2: was just like boom and he's gone, right. And usually
- 17:47Speaker 2: when these types of cameos or callbacks to characters and
- 17:50Speaker 2: star wars happened. They happen for a reason. They have
- 17:55Speaker 2: a little bit more screen time. Zeb not having that
- 17:57Speaker 2: much screen time in season three just kind of affirmed
- 18:02Speaker 2: for me, Oh, we're gonna get more of him in
- 18:05Speaker 2: the future, whether that be in ah Soca or in
- 18:09Speaker 2: future installments of The Mandalorian. Getting him in uh Mandalorian
- 18:15Speaker 2: Grogu is nice because that makes it feel like, because
- 18:21Speaker 2: it's a movie, he's gonna have a little bit more
- 18:23Speaker 2: screen time than what we've had with other people as
- 18:27Speaker 2: far as character callbacks. So I I'm okay with this.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I guess I wasn't expecting it,
- 18:40Speaker 3: especially since he wasn't in Ahsoka because we talked about
- 18:44Speaker 3: that in depth. But yeah, like I'm okay with this.
- 18:51Speaker 3: He is in in fact in The Razorcrest though.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that I've seen a lot of people show concern about,
- 19:05Speaker 2: like the retconning of things to make this movie work.
- 19:15Speaker 2: And again I haven't necessarily seen this like as confirmation.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't say it's confirmation, but like this gives me
- 19:29Speaker 2: a little bit of vibes of like, oh, we were right,
- 19:33Speaker 2: Like this is just gonna be a rendition of all
- 19:36Speaker 2: three seasons, like the Razorcrest is actually this is like
- 19:40Speaker 2: pre destruction of the Razorcrest, and they're gonna just like
- 19:45Speaker 2: reshare some like context to the story. So that way
- 19:51Speaker 2: the full blown story that Filoni is working on right now.
- 19:58Speaker 2: What's the other movie that's working on.
- 20:02Speaker 3: New Empire? Uhh yeah, the Empire.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Air to the Empire like actually makes sense for people
- 20:09Speaker 2: who go see it. Like we've we've talked about like
- 20:12Speaker 2: our fears of that actually happening. I think it's a
- 20:16Speaker 2: little uh over the top as far as our concerns,
- 20:21Speaker 2: but it's like legitimate, like, hey, this could actually happen.
- 20:28Speaker 2: But I don't know, how do you feel about seeing
- 20:30Speaker 2: the Razorcrest because I did see a lot of people
- 20:34Speaker 2: somewhat upset about it.
- 20:37Speaker 3: But I don't know if it's like old like what
- 20:42Speaker 3: we would consider like old timeline footage though, like getting
- 20:46Speaker 3: people caught up because Gara zeb Aurelius is in the Razorcrest.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Mm hm, So I don't I don't know how I
- 20:56Speaker 3: feel about that, Like I don't like this back, Like fine,
- 21:01Speaker 3: if you're like, oh I need more room, well then
- 21:03Speaker 3: get a new ship, like and again this is the assumption,
- 21:10Speaker 3: well I'm assuming this is the assumption of people who
- 21:13Speaker 3: saw the footage that the Razorcress is back.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah there. Well again there's this like conversation, and we've
- 21:23Speaker 2: somewhat had it. I know that Travis over at geek
- 21:27Speaker 2: Verse very much has this idea that like the Mandalorian
- 21:34Speaker 2: since the end of season two has not like retcon
- 21:41Speaker 2: but not retcon. What's what's the phrasing that I'm trying
- 21:45Speaker 2: to find here that all of this is for nothing,
- 21:50Speaker 2: Like they do major plot points to the show for
- 21:55Speaker 2: dramatic effect to get everybody's jaw dropping, and they're just like, Oh,
- 21:59Speaker 2: we're just gonna act like that never happened. You know,
- 22:02Speaker 2: the whole thing with Grogu going out to train and
- 22:05Speaker 2: he's right back at the beginning of season three. You know,
- 22:09Speaker 2: all of these different things and the Razorcrest I think
- 22:15Speaker 2: was a big moment for us to move on from
- 22:19Speaker 2: what we have known the Mandalorian to be into this
- 22:25Speaker 2: new era. And for one, Bres Dallas Howard's episode of
- 22:32Speaker 2: him flying the Naboo Fighter was amazing, Like, I love
- 22:40Speaker 2: that ship. It's something that I really love out of
- 22:44Speaker 2: Phantom Menace I don't care what anybody else says, but
- 22:47Speaker 2: it's a really cool design. And I love the fun
- 22:51Speaker 2: little thing that Mandalorian and Grogu have with that ship,
- 22:57Speaker 2: you know, with Grogu being able to sit in the
- 23:00Speaker 2: droid spot and you know, it's just fun and cute.
- 23:05Speaker 2: I could easily see this being Razor Crest two point zero, like, hey,
- 23:14Speaker 2: we kind of got the same model and then like
- 23:17Speaker 2: we did some work with it and we made the
- 23:21Speaker 2: Razor Crest two point zho Like that could be a thing.
- 23:26Speaker 2: To me.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I would prefer, like, hey, go with a new ship.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Like I would do. I would one hundred percent agree
- 23:34Speaker 2: with that. But Katie, you and I both know what
- 23:36Speaker 2: this is is, Hey, we already have the model set
- 23:40Speaker 2: for it. Yeah, so instead of putting that to waste
- 23:45Speaker 2: and spending more money on this movie, will just take
- 23:49Speaker 2: old set pieces and boom, we're good. Like that's probably
- 23:55Speaker 2: what it is. I say that though, and I just
- 23:58Speaker 2: remember this show made the volume famous, so like set
- 24:04Speaker 2: pieces are like almost non existent for this show.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and like you obviously still have like the physical components,
- 24:14Speaker 3: but yeah, they're like the backgrounds and everything. You don't
- 24:18Speaker 3: need those. Yeah, So that is all the Mandalorian and
- 24:23Speaker 3: Gururgoo talk. And yes, there's some screenshots out in the
- 24:26Speaker 3: wild y'all. We're not gonna show those because I don't
- 24:31Speaker 3: want to get taken down by copyright strikes. But they're
- 24:36Speaker 3: out there if you want to go look for them.
- 24:40Speaker 3: So the next bit is for and Or, And there
- 24:48Speaker 3: was a trailer shown. Surprisingly, I did not find this
- 24:52Speaker 3: trailer on the interweps, the.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Only one that was under wrap, like there there was
- 25:01Speaker 2: no footage of this show and whatsoever.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Uh No there was footag shown because no.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I mean like to the public, like there was no
- 25:11Speaker 2: phone footage, like, no screen shots, like I couldn't find
- 25:15Speaker 2: anything either.
- 25:17Speaker 3: So the one in the chat is screen shots. Yeah.
- 25:23Speaker 3: But and there was a couple of people who tweeted
- 25:27Speaker 3: it but then took it down after they realized they
- 25:29Speaker 3: weren't supposed to show it.
- 25:32Speaker 2: I'm surprised that.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, that's what I'm saying. But they have confirmed
- 25:40Speaker 3: that K two s O and Critic are both back,
- 25:45Speaker 3: which I told you when Alan Tutic was announced for
- 25:52Speaker 3: Star Wars Celebration, I was like, is this going to
- 25:54Speaker 3: be the announcement for K two S returning? So it's
- 25:58Speaker 3: not having a celebration. It happened to T twenty three though,
- 26:01Speaker 3: but I count that.
- 26:04Speaker 2: I think that's still confirmation, Like it's you. You were
- 26:08Speaker 2: intuitive to be like, okay, this because you could easily
- 26:13Speaker 2: chop it up to oh, he's a part of the
- 26:14Speaker 2: Star Wars family. He was in a previous Star Wars film. Yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 2: but you had the intuition of, hey, maybe this is
- 26:20Speaker 2: something more and maybe he will be in and Or
- 26:23Speaker 2: season two, and boom, you got that confirmation right here.
- 26:26Speaker 2: And I think that's awesome. I think the highlight for
- 26:30Speaker 2: me just because I love the actor he blew up
- 26:36Speaker 2: so quickly in the late twenty teens is of course critic. Yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 2: seeing critic in and Or season two, of course played
- 26:49Speaker 2: by Oh shoot, I said, I love the actor. But
- 26:52Speaker 2: camnd Yes Mendelssohn. He he is just a phenomenal actor.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And I know that the I really do hope that again.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I feel like there's going to be there's always going
- 27:11Speaker 2: to be an expectation for every viewer like, hey, how
- 27:15Speaker 2: do you one up the previous season? Right? I need
- 27:20Speaker 2: a similar speech to what I sacrificed from Crinic, Like
- 27:28Speaker 2: I need something on that level of speech from critic
- 27:32Speaker 2: in the season because I know Middlesen will be able
- 27:37Speaker 2: to pull that off. That's just my opinion.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I am really excited for Mindlessohn to come back
- 27:47Speaker 3: in so. Yeah, super excited by this. And he look,
- 27:53Speaker 3: he has the same look about him that like, you're
- 27:56Speaker 3: an idiot, menacing look in this screenshot. So that's very
- 28:01Speaker 3: exciting for me. So and Draven are also back.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yes, uh, Melchie Remind me Melchie is the uh.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I believe he was a part of Andor's like Cassian's
- 28:23Speaker 3: crew that he was working. Uh yeah, and prisoned, forced
- 28:27Speaker 3: to labor at the Imperial prison complex on the moon
- 28:30Speaker 3: Narkina five. Okay, so yeah, Malchi is back. And then Draven.
- 28:41Speaker 3: We're going to google that on Wikipedia and this says ah,
- 28:47Speaker 3: This says Draven was a human male who served as
- 28:51Speaker 3: a general in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during
- 28:53Speaker 3: the Galactic Civil War. He was stationed at the Great
- 28:57Speaker 3: Temple on the moon Yavin For when jin or So
- 29:00Speaker 3: was given the task of stealing the Death Star plans
- 29:03Speaker 3: by man Mathla. So that is who Draven is.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm excited about this. I am a little sad that
- 29:12Speaker 2: we didn't get this trailer pushed out to the public. Now, again,
- 29:17Speaker 2: we don't have a for sure release date here, so
- 29:23Speaker 2: that could be a reason why they don't want to
- 29:27Speaker 2: push it out, And of course I think that's very smart. Uh,
- 29:33Speaker 2: it's something it's I would like Disney Plus to have
- 29:38Speaker 2: a nice in between of what Netflix does with their trailers.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Netflix is like, hey, something is coming out, like in
- 29:47Speaker 2: two weeks. Here's the trailer for it. So it's soon
- 29:50Speaker 2: enough to where you're not like, oh, I have to
- 29:52Speaker 2: schedule three months out to like, hey, this is when
- 29:55Speaker 2: this is coming out. But at the same time, it's
- 29:58Speaker 2: just a little too soon. So I want to be
- 30:00Speaker 2: like a nice sweet spot for Disney Plus to put
- 30:04Speaker 2: stuff out there. But here, I'm excited for season two
- 30:09Speaker 2: of V and or at least it's one. You know,
- 30:13Speaker 2: this was already confirmed, so it's not like, oh, we
- 30:16Speaker 2: got something. It's like, Okay, this was I guess somewhat
- 30:19Speaker 2: expected as far as like at least some info on
- 30:23Speaker 2: what we would get, uh from season two. But yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 2: I I I just want new content, Katie. I want
- 30:33Speaker 2: to see new content. That's that's the ultimate goal of
- 30:37Speaker 2: this episode, is I want new content.
- 30:39Speaker 3: You know what we do have new content coming. It's
- 30:42Speaker 3: called Skeleton Crew and there will be a two episode
- 30:46Speaker 3: drop December third of this year. All right, y'all, we're
- 30:51Speaker 3: gonna hit our first ad break and we will be
- 30:53Speaker 3: right back in three. Two.
- 30:55Speaker 2: One, how did you feel because I saw mixed reports
- 31:03Speaker 2: or mixed reactions should I say on this trailer? There
- 31:12Speaker 2: I feel like is some hyperbolic thoughts. Two the domestication
- 31:22Speaker 2: of the Star Wars universe. How do you how do
- 31:28Speaker 2: you feel about this trailer? For one, let's just let's
- 31:32Speaker 2: just get that out of the way. How did you
- 31:35Speaker 2: after watching the entire trailer? What did you feel about
- 31:40Speaker 2: what we could expect from the show.
- 31:43Speaker 3: It definitely has that Stranger Things vibe. I did watch
- 31:49Speaker 3: a couple episodes of Stranger Things, so I understand what
- 31:52Speaker 3: they were going for with that, and that's exactly what
- 31:55Speaker 3: it feels like. It feels like Stranger Things from Star Warsh.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I saw somebody say this is like the Goonies in space.
- 32:06Speaker 2: That is also like a really fun like comparison, and
- 32:11Speaker 2: I think I would have a lot of fun with
- 32:13Speaker 2: that as well. So yeah, I I I get the vibe.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen Goodies. I don't understand that reference.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Why are you surprised at this?
- 32:26Speaker 2: I shouldn't be surprised. I really shouldn't, But I I
- 32:32Speaker 2: think you would like the gudis. I think you would
- 32:34Speaker 2: like it. It's it's it's a coming of age adventure
- 32:39Speaker 2: story with with the kids. So yeah, I think you
- 32:41Speaker 2: would enjoy it.
- 32:43Speaker 6: Yeah, there is space involved, so it's not just the
- 32:49Speaker 6: suburban Star Wars dream. Yes, there is space, and it
- 32:56Speaker 6: looks like there's a Force user at the end.
- 33:01Speaker 2: That's what I wanted to Yeah, that was a swerve
- 33:08Speaker 2: that I was not expecting, especially with the from all
- 33:15Speaker 2: reports that we had gotten before this trailer. We were
- 33:20Speaker 2: getting that like, oh, Jude Law's character is like this
- 33:24Speaker 2: pirate and like all of these other things, and like
- 33:28Speaker 2: the main focus on this particular trailer is this individual
- 33:33Speaker 2: that like wants to go out and adventure and have
- 33:36Speaker 2: all this fun they have heard stories of, like the
- 33:40Speaker 2: Jedi of old and the Force and all of these
- 33:43Speaker 2: other things. And so that's why at the very end
- 33:45Speaker 2: of the trailer, when you see this item, I think
- 33:49Speaker 2: it's like a thing of keys or something float in
- 33:52Speaker 2: the air. That character says, Oh, you're a Jedi, and
- 33:56Speaker 2: that's like when the trailer ends, wasn't expecting it. I
- 34:03Speaker 2: I don't know if I like it or hate it
- 34:05Speaker 2: right now, and I think hate is a very strong
- 34:08Speaker 2: word for something that we literally have no information for.
- 34:13Speaker 2: But again, it's this idea of like for us, I
- 34:20Speaker 2: like looking at some of the things that don't have Jedi,
- 34:24Speaker 2: do not have lightsabers and all this other stuff. Also
- 34:28Speaker 2: a little bit of an insider to our aftermath review.
- 34:32Speaker 2: That's where I'm going to be a little bit of
- 34:33Speaker 2: a hypocrite, but we'll talk about that. But with this,
- 34:38Speaker 2: I was just like, Okay, Jude Law is a Force user.
- 34:41Speaker 2: That's interesting, but let's look at all the other stuff
- 34:44Speaker 2: that's in here. And I thought of it as just like, Okay,
- 34:48Speaker 2: these kids are on this planet, they haven't known anything else,
- 34:53Speaker 2: and they want to go out in space. Everybody else
- 34:57Speaker 2: was like a suburb in the Star Wars.
- 35:02Speaker 7: Life is ruined. Star Wars is ruined. This is gonna
- 35:05Speaker 7: turn me off to Star Wars forever. I'm never gonna
- 35:08Speaker 7: watch Star Wars again because there's houses next to houses
- 35:13Speaker 7: in Star Wars.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And I'm like, people, calm down, like this is an
- 35:18Speaker 2: entire galaxy. You don't think there has to be one
- 35:22Speaker 2: or two planets at the very least that have somewhat
- 35:25Speaker 2: of like domestic civilization, like come on now.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, Like there is a huge v gino Wormars galaxy.
- 35:38Speaker 3: There's unknown there's the unknown regions of Star Wars where
- 35:42Speaker 3: things haven't even been explored. You can't tell me that
- 35:44Speaker 3: you weren't expecting like a regular neighborhood, like a planet
- 35:48Speaker 3: that looks like Earth, like come on now, like really.
- 35:52Speaker 2: It eventually had to happen. I feel like now.
- 35:58Speaker 3: It.
- 35:58Speaker 2: So there's this idea of course we had heard, like, oh,
- 36:03Speaker 2: you know, you're gonna get a whole lot of stuff
- 36:04Speaker 2: that makes it feel like Original Star Wars. I didn't
- 36:08Speaker 2: necessarily get that vibe from the trailer, did you get?
- 36:14Speaker 3: I guess I kind of did because of like some
- 36:16Speaker 3: of the space stuff. So like the first glimpse into
- 36:21Speaker 3: hyperspace for these kids when they're on that ship, and
- 36:24Speaker 3: then like the kid in like the Gunner's nest, like
- 36:27Speaker 3: that just felt like pure rebels to me. I know
- 36:30Speaker 3: that it's not like Original Star Wars, but like that
- 36:33Speaker 3: felt like zeb like shooting down ties in rebels like
- 36:41Speaker 3: so I got got some feelings of it. And like
- 36:48Speaker 3: even like the Jude Law reveal like that honestly kind
- 36:52Speaker 3: of feels like Obi Wan Kenobi taking office hood. Like yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 3: so like there's only some callbacks.
- 37:01Speaker 2: I feel like, Okay, I can see the comparisons there.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I'm having it play again over here on my other monitor.
- 37:13Speaker 2: I I like the look. I think the cinematography is
- 37:19Speaker 2: really really fun. Colors are very crisp, but very vibrant.
- 37:26Speaker 2: This does look like, guys, we have another dark series
- 37:30Speaker 2: on our hands. So I really hope, Well that's the thing.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Like on this video player, on this trailer, everything looks crisp.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It looks like I could see everything for all tens
- 37:46Speaker 2: and purposes for those dark scenes. I need to have
- 37:50Speaker 2: that same look in every episode because if there's gonna
- 37:57Speaker 2: be one episode where it's gonna be in a cave
- 38:00Speaker 2: or night all for the twenty five to forty five
- 38:04Speaker 2: minute episodes that we're probably gonna get and I can't
- 38:07Speaker 2: see shit, like, that's gonna be a problem. Yeah, And
- 38:11Speaker 2: it's it's an ongoing problem that we've had on this
- 38:14Speaker 2: streaming site and it needs to get fixed.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Uh so, like sites really because House the Dragon has
- 38:22Speaker 3: the same problem.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Oh does it really yeah, yeah, I I need like
- 38:30Speaker 2: I need that to get fixed. I don't know how
- 38:33Speaker 2: or why it has not gotten fixed or like why
- 38:38Speaker 2: it's such a big issue, But like I feel like
- 38:41Speaker 2: in the last like five years, studios have just been like,
- 38:45Speaker 2: we don't need any extra lighting, Like we're good here,
- 38:50Speaker 2: you know, just put on your night vision film it
- 38:52Speaker 2: and we're good like that. I feel like that's what
- 38:55Speaker 2: they're doing. But this, this looks fun again. As I said,
- 39:02Speaker 2: there was a little bit of hyperbolic opinions about the
- 39:08Speaker 2: domestication of Star Wars. I think the only quote unquote
- 39:15Speaker 2: new thing for me is vehicles on roads. That's like
- 39:21Speaker 2: the newest thing for me. And when it comes to
- 39:24Speaker 2: Star Wars, because of course we've always seen just ships
- 39:32Speaker 2: and aircraft's going through Coroissant and stuff, hundreds of stories
- 39:38Speaker 2: in the air, and it's just what to expect. Corrausson
- 39:44Speaker 2: is the most domesticated planet that we know of so far.
- 39:49Speaker 2: There is a scene where it looks like they're in
- 39:50Speaker 2: a city at one point that looks fine. The houses
- 39:55Speaker 2: don't look that terrible. It's just hey, this, I think
- 40:01Speaker 2: this for sure is like, Hey, how do we get
- 40:05Speaker 2: more viewers to feel like, oh I connect with this
- 40:10Speaker 2: in some sort of way.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah. And in regards to like the vehicles on roads though,
- 40:16Speaker 3: like like they're still in the air, they're just following roads. Yes, yeah,
- 40:23Speaker 3: so like we've seen like even in Ahsoka, like the
- 40:26Speaker 3: rip and rebels, like the repulsor bikes and everything.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Because that's true. There was also as soon as I
- 40:34Speaker 2: was saying it, I remembered the the truck in obi Wan, Yeah,
- 40:40Speaker 2: played by Zach Braf, the character that was played by
- 40:45Speaker 2: Zach Braf. Uh So I so yeah, it's it's a
- 40:49Speaker 2: there's already a set precedent for that type of vehicle
- 40:53Speaker 2: in the Star Wars universe. But just like having traffic
- 40:58Speaker 2: and stuff, like, I guess that's the new thing. And
- 41:01Speaker 2: it looks a little bit more quote unquote normal. Uh.
- 41:06Speaker 2: But yeah, I think this is fine. I think that
- 41:08Speaker 2: you know, kids are gonna watch this and they're gonna
- 41:11Speaker 2: be like, hey, that looks like my room. You know, Hey,
- 41:15Speaker 2: that looks like my neighborhood. Hey I have friends like this,
- 41:18Speaker 2: And that's I think what they're trying to grasp. H
- 41:22Speaker 2: And it does have a vibe of like, hey, you
- 41:24Speaker 2: can watch this with the family. So I think that's
- 41:27Speaker 2: gonna be fun too.
- 41:30Speaker 3: No, I'm excited for sure.
- 41:34Speaker 2: All right, Well that is it for Skeleton Crew. I
- 41:39Speaker 2: don't believe from I am looking at our chat now. Uh,
- 41:47Speaker 2: that was it for like the main course of things.
- 41:50Speaker 2: There was, of course the animation panel again, like we said,
- 41:55Speaker 2: it was just a look back at the last two
- 41:57Speaker 2: decades of everything, Clone War's Rebels, bad Batch, all of that. Uh.
- 42:06Speaker 2: But yeah, I think that is it for all of
- 42:10Speaker 2: the news segment, right.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yes, So now let's dive into aftermath. We're gonna go
- 42:17Speaker 3: into our second ad break and we'll be right back.
- 42:23Speaker 3: Is by Chuck Windeg. It is the first in a
- 42:26Speaker 3: trilogy of books leading up to the Battle of Jacku.
- 42:32Speaker 3: It released September fourth, twenty fifteen, and uh. Wind Dig
- 42:38Speaker 3: got the title after he tweeted on September fourth, twenty
- 42:43Speaker 3: fourteen about how he really wanted to write a licensed
- 42:48Speaker 3: Star Wars title. Jason Fry and Gary Witda passed that
- 42:53Speaker 3: message along to Shelley Shapiro, who was an editor at
- 42:56Speaker 3: large for del Rey, who felt that wind Dig would
- 42:59Speaker 3: be a good fit for the project based on having
- 43:02Speaker 3: read his title under the Imperium Sky. Upon being approached
- 43:06Speaker 3: to write the book. Wyn dig quote had a reaction
- 43:10Speaker 3: of girlish joy. He wrote the title in under forty
- 43:15Speaker 3: five days. And long story short about my opinion on
- 43:20Speaker 3: this book. It shows his writing it in forty five days.
- 43:27Speaker 8: Shows yeah, it it, Oh Katie.
- 43:43Speaker 3: I read this book twice for y'all. Okay, I read
- 43:47Speaker 3: it twice.
- 43:48Speaker 2: This is I am so sorry.
- 43:51Speaker 3: This is the the So the first time I read
- 43:54Speaker 3: this book all the way from front to back was
- 43:59Speaker 3: the fifth time that I had attempted reading this book
- 44:02Speaker 3: the fifth time.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Fifth. Holy crap.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yes, I have had this book on audible. Okay, here's
- 44:12Speaker 3: here's how it tells you where I got this book.
- 44:15Speaker 3: I got this book. It was on my mother's Amazon account.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I had to lug into my mother's Audible account to
- 44:23Speaker 3: access this book because I didn't get my own Amazon
- 44:26Speaker 3: account until twenty seventeen.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Like, so, have you read the other two? No?
- 44:36Speaker 3: I have not even attempted the other child.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Oh okay, so journey, this is going to be something. Okay,
- 44:44Speaker 2: So let me just go ahead and get this out
- 44:45Speaker 2: of the way, guys. So, I of course also read
- 44:51Speaker 2: this on Audible. I work in an environment where I
- 44:57Speaker 2: can just put something in my headphone and build things
- 45:01Speaker 2: and boom. I am usually able to absorb everything. I
- 45:07Speaker 2: may have to, like, you know, go back like thirty
- 45:10Speaker 2: seconds or so to like catch something, but I grasp
- 45:14Speaker 2: a majority of everything. Katie, I had to restart chapters
- 45:21Speaker 2: in this book, and I I'm interested to see how
- 45:28Speaker 2: it's written in physical form. But this like chapter one,
- 45:34Speaker 2: two three interlude, Chapter four or five interlude, chapter six interlude,
- 45:40Speaker 2: Chapter seven, eight nine interlude, I'm like, what are we doing?
- 45:46Speaker 3: Like like it is cool to get like the different
- 45:51Speaker 3: perspectives of rebellion across the galaxy don't get me.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Yes, but I was gonna say, I'm oh, go ahead,
- 45:59Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 46:00Speaker 3: I don't know if this is the time for that, Like,
- 46:05Speaker 3: I don't know if this was the book for that.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I don't think so either. Because one thing, I was
- 46:14Speaker 2: thinking a lot about this, Katie a lot about this.
- 46:17Speaker 2: It made me question my love for this fandom.
- 46:23Speaker 9: Okay, because I was, like, I tell Katie all the time,
- 46:29Speaker 9: I want more politics in Star Wars, like we get it.
- 46:34Speaker 2: In like because I was I was talking it out
- 46:39Speaker 2: to myself. I'm like, Okay, what is different? What is
- 46:42Speaker 2: different from this compared to the original trilogy compared to
- 46:46Speaker 2: the prequels, compared to the Swee sequel trilogy, and how
- 46:51Speaker 2: it's leading up to the sequel trilogy right, And I'm like, okay, well,
- 46:55Speaker 2: I know that as far as the sequel trilogy goes,
- 46:58Speaker 2: the political under tones are very minute. It's kind of
- 47:04Speaker 2: just shown in the first movie and in the last movie,
- 47:10Speaker 2: and it's kind of drizzled throughout the second movie. But
- 47:14Speaker 2: it's not really like how prominent it was in the
- 47:18Speaker 2: prequel series, right in the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones,
- 47:25Speaker 2: and Revende of the Sith. It's not in your face.
- 47:28Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, this is supposed to be a political
- 47:33Speaker 2: statement of like, hey, the Empire is falling, but we
- 47:38Speaker 2: don't want it to fall. We have to rise to
- 47:39Speaker 2: power again. Let's do this while the New Republic is
- 47:44Speaker 2: trying to mend a broken galaxy. Right, It's supposed to
- 47:49Speaker 2: be all of that, And it was such a snoozefest. Yeah,
- 47:57Speaker 2: for everything. It hurts my soul exactly.
- 48:04Speaker 3: I love Bracelaw, Like when you go read her character
- 48:09Speaker 3: article on Wikipedia.
- 48:11Speaker 2: I'm glad that she made an appearance on this because
- 48:13Speaker 2: we had just talked about in a new Dawn like
- 48:16Speaker 2: exactly raised in here again, cool, I'm gonna get more
- 48:20Speaker 2: character development. Could not care less.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Right, She's all of a sudden in this admile and
- 48:27Speaker 3: we're getting behind the scenes stuff. And yes, yes, y'all,
- 48:30Speaker 3: I know this is a trilogy and you gotta wait
- 48:33Speaker 3: for things to be revealed, and clearly there's something going
- 48:36Speaker 3: on behind the scenes that Ray knows that nobody else does.
- 48:43Speaker 3: But like we could not get a little bit, like
- 48:47Speaker 3: just a little bit because like we literally just like
- 48:54Speaker 3: if you were going to introduce new characters and not
- 48:57Speaker 3: have this be like a strictly wedge race Sloan face off,
- 49:03Speaker 3: then like just give us the new characters with like
- 49:08Speaker 3: one additional character involved. But you tried to introduce too
- 49:12Speaker 3: many characters while also furthering the rebellion, which is now
- 49:16Speaker 3: the New Republic. And it's just too much going on,
- 49:21Speaker 3: and there's not enough time spent on anybody other than
- 49:28Speaker 3: Snap Snap Wexley mm hmm. Like there's just not.
- 49:37Speaker 2: I it's it's very frustrating. Uh.
- 49:43Speaker 3: I think.
- 49:46Speaker 2: For me, the highlight of this novel is bones.
- 49:51Speaker 3: I was gonna say that, Oh my gosh, we're on
- 49:54Speaker 3: the same page. I'm so happy you disliked this book
- 49:57Speaker 3: as much as I.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Is.
- 50:01Speaker 3: That sad. I feel like that's sad, but like I
- 50:05Speaker 3: have literally seen nobody else hate this book.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Like, so here here's the thing, though, we guys, we
- 50:14Speaker 2: have said time and time again in our show reviews
- 50:18Speaker 2: and our movie reviews, in our book reviews, Hey, we're
- 50:22Speaker 2: going to share our truthful like reactions to these things.
- 50:30Speaker 2: And there has been novels out there that were like, hey,
- 50:33Speaker 2: this is not really my cup of tea, but I
- 50:34Speaker 2: can see why, like they wrote it in this perspective,
- 50:39Speaker 2: And like one of the one of the biggest ones
- 50:41Speaker 2: for us was Padawan in the last year. Padawan was
- 50:47Speaker 2: something that we liked, the connections to the High Republic,
- 50:51Speaker 2: but it just felt a little janky the way it
- 50:55Speaker 2: was written. Yeah, this it just felt so like so
- 51:02Speaker 2: for me, you know, I kind of teased it when
- 51:06Speaker 2: talking about and Or and Skeleton Crew previously in our
- 51:10Speaker 2: news segment. Most of the time, when we're having conversations
- 51:16Speaker 2: about what we want in Star Wars, films, books, shows,
- 51:20Speaker 2: whatever it is, Hey, let's take a chance without the lightsabers,
- 51:25Speaker 2: let's go more politically, let's do this and do that.
- 51:30Speaker 2: This book in all Tens and Purposes should be my
- 51:34Speaker 2: cup of tea. It should be like, hey, Clay, everything
- 51:38Speaker 2: you asked for here. It is no Lightsabers, no Luke Skywalker.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Like there is like very small hints of characters from
- 51:50Speaker 2: the original trilogy, but like even that, Katie, we got Wedge,
- 51:57Speaker 2: and I'm like, cool, Wedge, that's a character that I
- 52:01Speaker 2: want to know more about. I didn't get Jack Diddley's
- 52:05Speaker 2: squat from Wedge other than hey, I'm a pilot. Hey
- 52:11Speaker 2: I'm captured, and that's it. It felt like like there
- 52:17Speaker 2: was a moment where and again I don't know this
- 52:26Speaker 2: is technically Cannon, right, So there was a moment where
- 52:32Speaker 2: Wedge was talking to I don't know if it was
- 52:35Speaker 2: Ray or somebody else when he was captured, but he
- 52:41Speaker 2: was talking about like what the Empire has done to
- 52:44Speaker 2: the galaxy and how many people it hurt. And he says, oh,
- 52:49Speaker 2: even someone that I loved at one one time in history.
- 52:57Speaker 2: I need confirmation. Is that the same character who created
- 53:06Speaker 2: the Sun Destroyer or whatever it was in Legends in
- 53:13Speaker 2: the Jedi Academy, she does.
- 53:15Speaker 3: Not currently exist.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Okay, because just the way Wedge was because in the
- 53:23Speaker 2: second book, in the Jedi Academy two we find out
- 53:28Speaker 2: that he is what's her name's bodyguard and they like
- 53:31Speaker 2: have a fling. So I was like, Oh, are they
- 53:35Speaker 2: calling back to a Legends novel? Are they making this canon? Like,
- 53:39Speaker 2: what's what's going on here? Nope, there was nothing there.
- 53:43Speaker 2: There was There was no crumbs for me, nothing like. Yeah,
- 53:47Speaker 2: there should have been stuff throughout this thing, like the
- 53:51Speaker 2: fact that like we get small segments of Han in here, right,
- 53:57Speaker 2: their retiny pieces of Han, and then we get Hollovids
- 54:02Speaker 2: of Lea, and this is like supposed to be motivational
- 54:05Speaker 2: for these people who were outside of the New Republic,
- 54:09Speaker 2: like learning about the outcome of the war and the
- 54:13Speaker 2: Empire is no more, Like you don't have to be
- 54:15Speaker 2: afraid anymore. There should be like a rising of hope
- 54:18Speaker 2: and everything. I just don't. I didn't feel it. There
- 54:21Speaker 2: was nothing there for me. Yeah, And it's just like
- 54:25Speaker 2: I don't know what this book needs. I honestly don't.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Yeah, because I mean you even have an interlude with
- 54:33Speaker 3: Han and Chewey, And that's the lead up for the
- 54:36Speaker 3: next book, which is entitled Aftermath Life Debt, which is
- 54:41Speaker 3: how Kashik gets rescued from the Empire's grasp and like
- 54:48Speaker 3: that doesn't even do it for me, Like I didn't
- 54:51Speaker 3: even remember that was there, and that happens. Where does
- 54:57Speaker 3: that happen?
- 54:58Speaker 2: Like I believe.
- 55:06Speaker 3: So that happens like halfway through the book, so I
- 55:12Speaker 3: know I made it to that point at like, yeah,
- 55:15Speaker 3: one of my read's attempts to get through this book,
- 55:21Speaker 3: Like I didn't remember that happening at all, and I knew,
- 55:24Speaker 3: I know that life debt is about because she getting rescued.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Mm hmm, Like.
- 55:32Speaker 3: This book is completely forgettable at this point.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Like also, I also need to to say this I understand,
- 55:44Speaker 2: and actually I don't understand, Katie. I I get the
- 55:50Speaker 2: bean culture of it, and I know it's iconic. But
- 55:54Speaker 2: if one more book has Acbar saying it's a trap,
- 56:01Speaker 2: one more goddamn time, I get it. Okay, it's an
- 56:07Speaker 2: iconic moment. It doesn't need to happen in every book
- 56:12Speaker 2: that act Bar's in, like it. Acbar has been shown
- 56:19Speaker 2: in comics and in other novels as being a complete badass.
- 56:24Speaker 2: Without that line, he is reduced in so many people's
- 56:29Speaker 2: minds as the meme. But he's so much more.
- 56:34Speaker 3: He's so much more he's such a brilliant strategist, and
- 56:40Speaker 3: like he has other moments in this book. Sure, as
- 56:44Speaker 3: like they find out what's happening on Akiba and everything.
- 56:48Speaker 3: And we're not going to dive too much into the
- 56:49Speaker 3: summary of this, guys, because like this is a nine
- 56:52Speaker 3: year old book at this point. We just really wanted
- 56:55Speaker 3: to kind of give you, guys our thoughts and like
- 56:59Speaker 3: maybe one we get to the end of this will
- 57:01Speaker 3: highlight some key moments for what we think the comic
- 57:04Speaker 3: will kind of tackle. But right now, this is what
- 57:06Speaker 3: we got. So like there's other key moments as they
- 57:11Speaker 3: get to like, oh, hey, we need to go to
- 57:14Speaker 3: a Kiva. We have people there. We're wedges in trouble,
- 57:19Speaker 3: other people are in trouble. The Empire is they're like
- 57:21Speaker 3: all these sorts of things, and so they have like
- 57:26Speaker 3: build up to that. But yeah, okay, So in the
- 57:34Speaker 3: terms of like other parts of the book that are
- 57:37Speaker 3: not placed on a Kiva, what did you think of
- 57:40Speaker 3: The New Republic's beginning like interludes. I don't think they're
- 57:46Speaker 3: technically interludes, but they're like chapters dedicated to it.
- 57:50Speaker 10: Yeah, I I liked it, Like honestly, I think I
- 58:00Speaker 10: liked the.
- 58:02Speaker 2: Empire's reactions to the war more so than the New
- 58:08Speaker 2: Republic in all honesty, but like I because there was
- 58:14Speaker 2: moments of like, hey, we don't know what to do,
- 58:17Speaker 2: because because there there was a chapter I can't remember
- 58:22Speaker 2: how far into the book it was, but like there
- 58:25Speaker 2: was a explanation to the New Republic like, hey, you
- 58:30Speaker 2: stopped the war, but you stopped the war on alterns
- 58:35Speaker 2: and purposes, like you're like side of the galaxy, like
- 58:42Speaker 2: you see it as finished. We have to deal with
- 58:46Speaker 2: the repercussions. We have to deal with rogue Empire troopers
- 58:52Speaker 2: like like raiding our planets, taking our crops and all
- 58:56Speaker 2: of these other things and still beating us down. Like
- 59:00Speaker 2: what are you guys gonna do about this? Like that's
- 59:03Speaker 2: the stuff that I feel like I needed highlighted. Yeah,
- 59:08Speaker 2: when it was just like a small highlight in one chapter,
- 59:11Speaker 2: it was just like boom. And Also I feel like
- 59:15Speaker 2: it's very silly where this person is complaining about this
- 59:21Speaker 2: said thing and they're like, you know what, you're right,
- 59:24Speaker 2: you're in charge of that now, like you you deal
- 59:27Speaker 2: with that, and they're like wait what, Like.
- 59:31Speaker 3: The person who comes up to I think it's like
- 59:34Speaker 3: mon Makma's assistant. Yeah, it is like because she that
- 59:39Speaker 3: person has like the whole argument that you just said,
- 59:42Speaker 3: like and she's like, yeah, you know what, your planet
- 59:46Speaker 3: doesn't have a representative in the new Republic. Congratulations, the
- 59:49Speaker 3: Senate meets today. You're the new senator for your planet.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Like it's like you don't like this unfortunately, Like I
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: feel like, of course, this is not how American politics work.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: But like I feel like, unfortunately, this is how American
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: politics work. It's like, hey, who wants to be in
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: charge of this? You do? Oh you don't. Cool, You're
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: gonna be in charge anyway. It's just like, yeah, like
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: these people aren't qualified. What are you doing to republic?
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: Wait, Like, don't get me wrong, Like it is good
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: that like the person took initiative and was like, oh,
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: your planet's not represented, like we need a representative for
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: your planet, like come voice your concerns. But also like.
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: It's a move in the right direction, but the decision
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: overall verly poorly thought of, Like it was just like
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: not the right thing to do.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Yeah, so, uh, what did you think about our ragtag
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: group of heroes? Nora Wexley, Tim and Wexley slash Snap Wexley,
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: mister Bones of course.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Mister Bones the and then and uh crap, what was
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: her name?
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Yes, so.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I need to know because we learn about Sindiar is
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: the one that was the old imperial officer. Uh I believe.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Rug.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: So he he kind of has this energy of like
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: very he's very cowdice and then just kind of happens
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: to fall into everything that is going on. Very early
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: on in the book, he meets a Twilic h and
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: they're like, oh, like, you know people, and I know people,
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: like we can make things happen. Let's you know, do
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: this and save these people. And you know things are
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: changing now that the empire is gone, you know, and
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: it's it's starting to push this exposition and you really
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: know who Cindure is because like uh like he he uh.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: The the Twilic is named uh orgo Doma do do
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Kura uh, but he references him as oh the tailhead.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: Like it's not racism, you know, it's it's just like
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: the stuff that's embedded into the empire and like makes
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: you feel gross. And it's like I shouldn't like this guy,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: and I don't think I do like him. But near
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: the end, you start to feel like okay, like he
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: is making some of the right choices here, He's starting
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: to move in the right direction. Is he canonically one
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: of the first gay characters in Star Wars?
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: Yes, yes he is.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Okay, I I I I like that.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: There's a moment where we meet a bounty hunter by
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: the name of uh, what's her name, Jazz Mari Jazz. Yes. Uh.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: There's there's a part in this book where Sindire is
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: walking up to her and he's like, oh, I need
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: to I need to tell you something, and she's like,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I'll do it. He's like, what when all this is
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: over we're being a couple. And he's like, whoa, whoa
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: what that hold the phone? That's not what I was
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: coming over here to talk about a side note, not
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: into it. And she's like into what aliens like, of course,
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: because she knows that he's from the Empire, throwing racism
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: out there. He's like, no, women, I'm not into women,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: like chill out, like call see.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: I don't even remember that part of the book happening.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: And I read it twice in.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: The last I had a good laugh out of it.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: That's the only reason why I remembered that, but like
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I love her as a character also.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Yes, Jazz is probably my favorite part.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: She She has like this dry humor about her, and
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: I think it's just because she is what racis. She
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: she is a.
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: A Darth Maul race.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: Yes, yes, uh oh shoot, it was right here.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: No, no, I did not want to bookmark that. Oops Brac.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Yes, she's a Zabrac. Yes, but she has this like
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: very dry humor. And there's a little bit of history
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: between her and uh Sinjiar. They were born, they were
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: both on indoor at the end of the war yep.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: So like we get a little bit of history there
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: and like some trauma and they like get to talk
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: it out a little bit. I don't feel like a
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: lot comes out of that though, So it's like eh again,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: and then the highlights for the other characters we have
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: uh uh Now Noura is a part of Alphabet Squadron. Correct, No,
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: she's not a part of that book series.
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: She is not. Oh after Bath and Alphabet Squadron take
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: place at the same time.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, good to No, so uh Noura and
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Timman have this very broken family relationship. She went out
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: to be a part of the rebellion, he stayed with
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: his aunt's no, no, sorry. Timman is the father, right,
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Timman is the son. Timmin's the son hold the phone.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: So this is he is in most sequel series.
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Yeah that's fun. I didn't know that. So okay, so
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: now I get to see his entire story from when
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: he is Also just gonna say this, don't like his
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: death very lackluster and for a character actor that I
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: actually liked. But yeah, so tim And he has this
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: attitude of like, hey, mom, you chose the galaxy and
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: not me, so screw you. You go save the galaxy.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna stay here. I'm comfortable, I have my own business,
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: I'm running things around here. And it's okay, like they
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: have their like happily ever after ending. Yay, But I
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: think again, the only highlight of that relationship is the
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: creation of Bones. Like he Bones is so awesome. When
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: you first see him, he's just like kind of like, okay,
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: it's just a droid. But then when tim And actually
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: gets into trouble and it's like hey, Bones, and then
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: he just slaughters everybody.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: I was like, oh god, I want to say he's
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: a mod, Like somebody did a mod of him and
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Lego Skywalker saga where you could like play mister Bones.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Oh really yeah, that's fun.
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: Because he got that popular. But yeah, mister Bones is
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: my favorite. I really thought I would like Nora better,
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: but I also just don't think I know that much
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: about her. And her husband's name is.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: Britain by the way, Okay, yeah, uh.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: And Brenton was arrested by the Empire because as he
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: was sending messages for the rebellion. So that's how Nora
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: got involved with the rebellion, as she was trying to
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: find her husband and get him rescued.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: So yeah, uh, there's uh, you know, at the very beginning.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Also we get like there is we get a little
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: bit of context that like Nora has a history with Wedge,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: not a romantic history, but just like a history of like, hey,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: we were in the rebellion together type thing. Yes, and
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: there is still nothing from that, Like there's so much.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: And again, like Katie said, this is the beginning of
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: a trilogy trilogy. I'm sure there's going to be some
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: bridges in connective tissue throughout the other two books, but
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: I'm just like, this is a start of a trilogy.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: In a already known galaxy. You have to give us
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: more with these newer characters for me to be able
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: to latch onto them, because again, like getting what we
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: got is it? I was like, okay, you know it's
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: it's whatever.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, And I don't want to say too much because
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: I do know how it ends. I like, because I
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: read all the Wikipedia summaries when I decided not to finish. Well,
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: that's what Wikipedia is there for. I hate to break
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: it to you. Is that sad? I don't know. It's
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: like spark not ites. Okay, you didn't read it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Yeah, And like I think that there is just like bones,
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: I'm sure that we can find some things that we
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: will enjoy in this trilogy. Are they all written by Chuck?
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Oh No?
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: That was what surprised me about the new trilogy is
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: that they're having different authors come in. Is because every
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: other trilogy they've done, Yeah, because it's been thrown through
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: on a sentence Aftermath and Alphabet Squadron, and all of
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: them have been written by the same authors.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: Joy. Okay, Well, hopefully by the second book Chuck has
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: gotten a little bit more on his feet, because.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Just didn't like the way this was written. It just
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: felt really off for me. Now that I know what
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: to sort of expect going into it, I think maybe
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: it could be a little bit more enjoyable. But we'll see.
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: We will definitely see.
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Is there a development on this one? There's not a
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: development one on this one, it does say as of
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: August sixth, sixteen, reception for Aftermath Life Debt has been
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: generally positive, particularly in comparison with the preceding Aftermath title.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Okay, so they acknowledge, Hey, a lot of people didn't
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: like this other one, but they like this one. Like
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: at least they make the acknowledgement there.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: We'll see it in a month, Yeah, we will.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: We will see. We will, of course keep to our
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: schedule and have this trilogy out. Are we going to
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: be done before.
- 1:12:45Speaker 11: The next series starts for comics or.
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: So?
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: I remember how we schedule finishing right as I think
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: the second issue comes out?
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Ah, okay, okay, okay, cool, So we'll have, you know,
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: maybe one or two things spoiled for us via comic,
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: but probably not a whole lot. But yeah, you know,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: we we will get it done for sure.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: And I'm not like avoiding talking about things for like
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: spoiler's sake. But like, we're gonna be reading this, so
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: I don't want to spoil it for you. I guess yeah, no, no, no.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: That's so, that's totally fine. I had something that I
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: also wanted to add. Oh we did get the first
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: appearance of Vamp got Vamped.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: In this, Yes we did.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: I was I recognized that name.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of people were sad when he showed
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: up in Mando season two. Yeah, Mando season two. So
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: he showed up in Mando season two. But then Chuck
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Wendigg was not credited as creating the character in the episode.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so because I looked for that, and I
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: brought it up when we were reviewing it because I
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: knew the character had existed, especially with like the reaction
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: from everybody else and stuff.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: So interesting interesting, All right, well.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: Where can they find you? Clay?
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: I so side note real quick. I literally just I
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: just refreshed Twitter and somebody made this pretty badass looking
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: fan made poster for Revenge of the Sith, and I
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: was like, what is this? Uh? And apparently there is
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: uh a uh, what's what? What's the sign? Petition? Website? Changed?
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Dot org change or yeah? For people saying would you
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: a four hour ultimate cut of Revenge of the Sith
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: with additional new scenes added.
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: I guess I was not, because that was not how
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: the movie was intended. And yes, I know Ahsoka is
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: a new character. I don't give a shit.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: I yeah, I think that. I love the edits of
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: like on TikTok and reels and stuff like of people
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: splicing the scenes together themselves. That's good enough for me.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: Like getting getting all the audio cues and everything else
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: is fun within itself, So I don't need a four
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: hour cut of Revenge of the Sith. That actually sounds
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: very painful. But you can find me at fanboy Clay
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: on Twitter and any and all social media. Uh. Currently,
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: I am going to be putting out another episode on
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Ranger Aliance, so be on the lookout for that. Uh.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Of course, I am creating content for ma will Snap,
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: creating a whole bunch of decks, putting those out there
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: into the world, something that I've been having a lot
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: of fun with. So if you play the game, check
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: out the geek Verse discord where me and a couple
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: of friends of course within the network talk about the
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: game and have a lot of fun with that. So
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: go check us out there. I'm trying to remember if
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: there was anything in particular.
- 1:16:31Speaker 11: I was talking to Abby about possibly restarting some Patreon stuff,
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: But with the new job starting soon, I don't want
- 1:16:38Speaker 11: to make any promises and then forget all about them,
- 1:16:42Speaker 11: So trying to Yeah, I'm trying to get on my
- 1:16:46Speaker 11: feet for that first, and then you will, you guys
- 1:16:50Speaker 11: will start seeing more content on the Patreon from me.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: But yeah, just go follow me on Twitter, having a
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: lot of well not a lot of fun on there
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: because it's it's Twitter, you know, but you know, just
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: social interactions overall. It's it's where I'm gonna be. So, Katie,
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: what about.
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: You, y'all? You can find me on most social media platforms.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: It is at Slice Katie. This show you can find
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: on Twitter. It is at Star Wars Alliance at the
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: eight in the War is very important, don't get it.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: You can also shoot us an email at Star Wars
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: Alliance at gmail dot com. Remember there's no eight in
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: the Wars, and then feel free to shoot us a
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: text relief of voicemail at eight three zero five three
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: eight four eight to eight. So with that, I want
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: to wish everyone a great day or night. Oh I
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: forgot one last thing because I wanted to talk about
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: this at the beginning, and I forgot. You might notice
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: that the episodes have started at a random, dude number.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: That is because I uploaded all of our old episodes
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: to the Star Wars Alliance feed, where all of our
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: pisodes they're on one feed, so you can go back
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: and listen to all of them or none of them,
- 1:18:04Speaker 3: whatever your choice or preferences. But you're listening to none
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: of them in you're here. That surprises me. So I
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: figured out that we were at episode and this was
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: before last week that I had done this. So we
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: decided that we were just going to start uh renumbering
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: the episodes at two hundred, and you just have to
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: find which episodes fill in the thirteen episodes between one
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: eighty seven and two hundred. So we're not renumbering every
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: single episode in order of how they were released. That's
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: not happening. But we started over at two hundred last week,
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: so today's episode is two one. So every episode will
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: have a number on it now so that we can
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: keep better track in the future.
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, yeah, that was my fault because I
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: was like, oh, I'll be clever. I won't put an
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: episode number on the book reviews, so it's easier for
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: people to find. And it just paid a clusterfuck for
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: all of us, so that won't be happening again. But yeah,
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: really excited to be past two hundred episodes and you know,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: we'll see how before we get into you know, the
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: next coming years.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: Here's to two hundred more. Yeah, with that, y'all, I
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: want to wish everyone a great day or night, whatever
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: time day you are listening or watching, and we will
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: see y'all next time. The Fort with you
