- 0:11Speaker 3: Welcome back to another episode of Dirty Rush.
- 0:15Speaker 4: Today.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I am joined.
- 0:16Speaker 3: By you guys as we get to hear your wildest
- 0:19Speaker 3: spring break stories, from people getting banned from hotels, to
- 0:22Speaker 3: hookups that never should have happened, to horrific injuries needing
- 0:26Speaker 3: immediate surgery, exotic pets being transported across the country.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I haven't heard of that before. We will hear it all.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Let's get into it, Okay, So first I'm going to
- 0:38Speaker 3: share a little bit about my spring break. So I
- 0:42Speaker 3: actually most of my spring breaks I would go meet
- 0:44Speaker 3: up with my family, I know, boring to me, not
- 0:48Speaker 3: just kidding.
- 0:48Speaker 2: My family so fun.
- 0:50Speaker 3: But our senior year, we all went to Cancun, and
- 0:52Speaker 3: I remember it was SDSU people and bolder people and
- 0:57Speaker 3: it was crazy because like everyone was like in relationships
- 1:01Speaker 3: or had broken up senior year, and then like all
- 1:03Speaker 3: the bolder people were hooking up with SCSU people and
- 1:06Speaker 3: there was just like drama and it was really entertaining.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I was actually sober the whole time because I had
- 1:12Speaker 3: like a bunch of health issues at that time. So
- 1:14Speaker 3: I was like watching it all happen and it was crazy.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But that's basically and of course, like you know people,
- 1:22Speaker 3: well not of course, but people were like cheating on
- 1:25Speaker 3: their girlfriends who didn't come on the trip and like
- 1:27Speaker 3: all this stuff, and I remember it just caused like
- 1:31Speaker 3: mass chaos.
- 1:32Speaker 2: But anyway, let's jump right into it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So our first caller we have is Savannah.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Hey, Savannah, Hi, how are you.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I'm good? How are you? I'm good?
- 1:45Speaker 3: Thanks for coming on. So I heard you have a
- 1:48Speaker 3: little story for us. Tell us about our first word.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Did you go to school?
- 1:51Speaker 5: I went to school in Texas and I loved it.
- 1:55Speaker 5: It was the best times when I was I miss
- 1:56Speaker 5: it all the time.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So fun. And then what did you do for spring break?
- 2:02Speaker 5: I would say I did like two actual like college
- 2:06Speaker 5: spring breaks, okay, freshman and senior year. I did like
- 2:09Speaker 5: the crazy spring break where you like do it through
- 2:12Speaker 5: like just college everyone did. And freshman year I went
- 2:17Speaker 5: to South Padre, which so gross, to be honest.
- 2:21Speaker 2: No, it honestly is.
- 2:23Speaker 3: But I mean I feel like college spring break, it's like, okay,
- 2:25Speaker 3: where can you get like the cheapest for like the best.
- 2:27Speaker 5: Exactly, and it was like so cold the whole time.
- 2:30Speaker 5: And I just remember from that trip, all the guys
- 2:33Speaker 5: would host parties at their houses, like the frat houses
- 2:36Speaker 5: that they rented in South Padre, Like every single one
- 2:39Speaker 5: got evicted, every single one, so they would want to
- 2:42Speaker 5: stay at the girl's house. So I had like a
- 2:44Speaker 5: thirteen person house in South Padre and then we ended
- 2:48Speaker 5: up having like thirteen boys join us in and everyone's
- 2:51Speaker 5: like it's like.
- 2:53Speaker 3: The whole thing such a spring break story. Yeah, and
- 2:56Speaker 3: then where was your other one?
- 2:58Speaker 4: Senior year?
- 2:58Speaker 2: I did Cabo. Okay, sophomore year, a lot.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Of my friends went, but I had a wedding to
- 3:02Speaker 5: go through, so I missed out on that one, but
- 3:04Speaker 5: I got to do it senior year. I would say
- 3:06Speaker 5: it wasn't like as crazy as I feel, like the
- 3:08Speaker 5: iconic sophomore year Cabo trip is at my school, but
- 3:12Speaker 5: it was still really fun and like to experience I'd
- 3:14Speaker 5: never been and Cabo's just like Mango Deck and all
- 3:17Speaker 5: the things.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Like it's just a.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, really fun.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's so fun.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Do you have any like crazy stories that pop out
- 3:27Speaker 3: that you.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Can think of?
- 3:28Speaker 5: So sophomore year, my friends did the whole Cabo sophomore
- 3:32Speaker 5: year spring break trip which I missed out on, and
- 3:35Speaker 5: one of my friends had been dating her boyfriend for
- 3:37Speaker 5: about like a year, I want to say, okay, and
- 3:40Speaker 5: they were going to like one of the DJ concerts
- 3:42Speaker 5: like iconic spring Break you have to do it. And
- 3:45Speaker 5: I want to say it was diplo like such a
- 3:47Speaker 5: good one, Like I would have died to go to
- 3:49Speaker 5: one of those in Cabo. It's like sounds like a dream.
- 3:52Speaker 5: And obviously it had been a long day of like
- 3:54Speaker 5: day drinking because he just booze all day. And at
- 3:58Speaker 5: the concert, her and her boyfriend got in like a
- 4:01Speaker 5: screaming fight in this like ed M DJ concert concert
- 4:05Speaker 5: and he dumped her in the middle of the concert
- 4:07Speaker 5: the concert and surrounded by everyone everyone's been drinking, broke
- 4:12Speaker 5: up with her and they're on this spring break trip
- 4:14Speaker 5: like together.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Like that's horrible.
- 4:16Speaker 5: A lot of my friends like kind of like had
- 4:18Speaker 5: boyfriends like in the same fraternity, so it's very like connected.
- 4:22Speaker 5: And he literally broke up with her in the middle
- 4:24Speaker 5: of the concert.
- 4:25Speaker 2: That's so crazy.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Yeah, college relationships are so like unpredictable.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Yes, I mean even me. I'm back with my college ACCEP,
- 4:32Speaker 2: which I love.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I love that, but you never know what's going to happen,
- 4:36Speaker 3: and boys are just so immature at that.
- 4:38Speaker 5: So immature, and I just feel like drinking on spring break,
- 4:41Speaker 5: like especially by like the last day, everyone's like cranky,
- 4:44Speaker 5: just fights always erupt and college.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Is like a bender. It's literally, especially if you're on
- 4:50Speaker 3: spring spring break is never a break.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yes, it's like how crazy can we be? How many
- 4:57Speaker 2: DJs can we see?
- 4:58Speaker 5: Yeah, you literally need a break for the spring break, sir.
- 5:01Speaker 5: But yeah, I was of course getting lots of calls
- 5:04Speaker 5: from my like calm wedding, yeah, spring break that I
- 5:07Speaker 5: was on. But yeah, like they had to like see
- 5:09Speaker 5: each other the next following couple of days.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Obviously did they stay like split up or did they did?
- 5:14Speaker 3: I want to honestly, at least they were like done
- 5:16Speaker 3: and it wasn't back and forth.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, of course, I think there was like
- 5:19Speaker 5: convos had but I yeah, it was pretty much like
- 5:21Speaker 5: done after that. I think that was like the breaking straw.
- 5:23Speaker 5: But like, oh my gosh, I ever got broken up
- 5:25Speaker 5: with and.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Dump dot diplo. Don't like there, we got so dumped
- 5:32Speaker 2: at diplow.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so that was great.
- 5:35Speaker 5: I know, it's just like, but we needed up and
- 5:39Speaker 5: we had an incredible senior spring break okay, and it
- 5:42Speaker 5: made up for what was going on exactly. But yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 5: it was really fun and spring breaks just the best.
- 5:48Speaker 5: It was just still at spring break. Literally, can we
- 5:51Speaker 5: have it back?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Yeah, a little work.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Spring breaks so awesome.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Okay, Well, thank you Savannah for coming on, thank you
- 5:58Speaker 3: for having me.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Have a great rest of your day.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:03Speaker 3: The next person we have is Tiffany. Hey, Tiffany, how
- 6:06Speaker 3: are you?
- 6:07Speaker 2: I am good? How are you good?
- 6:09Speaker 3: I want to call you, tiff I know, Oh, you
- 6:11Speaker 3: can go for it. So what school did.
- 6:14Speaker 2: You go to? I went to the University of Nevada Reno.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Okay, fine, And did you go on spring break like parties, trips?
- 6:22Speaker 3: What did you do for spring break there?
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yes?
- 6:24Speaker 6: I feel like we opted for Tahoe a lot because
- 6:26Speaker 6: it was so close. Yeah, and so easy. How far
- 6:29Speaker 6: is it from there? Oh it's like a forty minute drive, Max.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Oh that's awesome, so easy, and a lot of people
- 6:33Speaker 6: have lake houses up there. I'm super just like easy,
- 6:37Speaker 6: go on a boat, drink a lot.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yes, ideal, ideal college in Tahoe. I love that.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Did you Do you have any like specific spring break
- 6:46Speaker 3: that was like crazy, like insane or have a crazy
- 6:50Speaker 3: story from it.
- 6:50Speaker 6: Yeah. I was just one of those people in college
- 6:54Speaker 6: where I was like, let's just drink as much as possible. Yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 6: blacked out one too many times. That happened during spring break.
- 7:02Speaker 6: And what I remember is like it was like a
- 7:05Speaker 6: bunch of the sorority girls, a bunch of the fraternity boys.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and we were all riding.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Those little like bird scooters. Oh no, and I literally
- 7:15Speaker 6: like one of the guys, you know, he was just
- 7:17Speaker 6: being like trying to show off. He like jumped and
- 7:20Speaker 6: landed on the scooter, like jumped up, landed on the scooter.
- 7:23Speaker 4: And I was like, I can do that easily. So
- 7:26Speaker 4: I jumped fell.
- 7:27Speaker 6: Complete like literally face planted onto the asphalt like flew.
- 7:32Speaker 2: No, it was because you were on ash trim.
- 7:35Speaker 6: No, I was on my own, and I was just like, oh,
- 7:37Speaker 6: I can do that too, Like, yeah, let me do it.
- 7:40Speaker 6: So I did it, face planted like there were just
- 7:44Speaker 6: bruises and like just I scraped my knees like I
- 7:47Speaker 6: was wearing jeans.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I remember I burned like a hole through my jeans.
- 7:50Speaker 6: And that was at the beginning of the trip, so
- 7:52Speaker 6: I had to do like boat days and stuff. After that,
- 7:55Speaker 6: I was like hiding myself because.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It was like your face, okay, my face was.
- 7:59Speaker 6: Okay somehow, like let's crop everything below the face.
- 8:05Speaker 2: It was insane. Was it like road rash all over?
- 8:08Speaker 6: Oh yeah, it was so bad, like bleeding just like
- 8:11Speaker 6: and how embarrassing too.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Have you been on a bird scooter since I can't
- 8:15Speaker 3: say I have, honestly at least like it was just
- 8:19Speaker 3: like that and not worse, because I've heard got really
- 8:21Speaker 3: bad stories.
- 8:22Speaker 2: About being on bird scooters.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And even like in college, I remember us going because
- 8:26Speaker 3: at STSU they first they had these like bikes that
- 8:29Speaker 3: were called ofos, so we would take those around, right,
- 8:32Speaker 3: But then they had bird scooters in the lime, and
- 8:34Speaker 3: I remember, like I was never on it alone. It
- 8:37Speaker 3: was always like me and a girlfriend, or like me
- 8:39Speaker 3: and a guy, like taking it to the next party,
- 8:41Speaker 3: like going to the next place. It was never for
- 8:44Speaker 3: like a singular person on it. Oh my god. So
- 8:46Speaker 3: I've tracked that like, honestly, nothing ever happened to like
- 8:49Speaker 3: any of my friends, but.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You hear like crazy stories about them. It's you should
- 8:53Speaker 2: not drive, not drive one. I guess ride one when
- 8:55Speaker 2: you're drunk. Oh that's my PSA to everyone. It's like
- 8:59Speaker 2: rough everyone out there.
- 9:00Speaker 3: If you're on spring break and there's bird scooters, do
- 9:03Speaker 3: not ride them drunk.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yes, it was somebody else, Yes, exactly.
- 9:08Speaker 3: One time I accidentally loaded it was like two hundred
- 9:11Speaker 3: credits worth of I forget if it was Bird or
- 9:13Speaker 3: Lime on to my like app and I when I
- 9:17Speaker 3: was drunk, of course obviously, but then I was just like,
- 9:21Speaker 3: suck with it. I ended up using at all, which
- 9:23Speaker 3: is kind of horrible that I used it all. But anyway,
- 9:26Speaker 3: I was like, how did I do that? But so
- 9:30Speaker 3: did any like since you guys you said most people
- 9:33Speaker 3: had lake houses, did anyone did, Like were they parents
- 9:36Speaker 3: like houses?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Then?
- 9:38Speaker 4: Yes?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Did you guys ever get like, did the parents ever
- 9:41Speaker 3: kick you guys out or did anything bad ever happen?
- 9:43Speaker 2: Surprisingly? No, I feel like the parents' houses that.
- 9:47Speaker 6: We did go to were chill about it, and they
- 9:49Speaker 6: were just like, oh, yeah, it's fine, you know, like
- 9:51Speaker 6: my parents would never but some of these people they
- 9:55Speaker 6: let their kids do free for all, so never got
- 9:58Speaker 6: in trouble there. I feel like we definitely had, like,
- 10:00Speaker 6: you know, noise, curfew though, because it's in Tahoe, like
- 10:04Speaker 6: you need to keep it down after a certain like time.
- 10:06Speaker 2: But yeah, it was.
- 10:08Speaker 6: It was honestly so fun. I'm like, I wish I
- 10:11Speaker 6: could go back and do it again.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Right, There's nothing like a good college spring break honestly
- 10:16Speaker 3: for sure, and being with all of your friends where
- 10:18Speaker 3: I'm actually I'm going to coach hell this year and
- 10:20Speaker 3: it's with my whole college friend group. It's going to
- 10:24Speaker 3: be like a reunion like kind of feels like spring very.
- 10:27Speaker 4: You should treat it like screen, right, Yeah, that's.
- 10:30Speaker 3: So much we have, like but I think there's like
- 10:33Speaker 3: four houses between all of us.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Oh my god, we're just going to be having a time.
- 10:37Speaker 3: I honestly feel like I'll go the first two days
- 10:39Speaker 3: and I might not make it the third. Had Literally
- 10:43Speaker 3: I can't hang like I used to. I know.
- 10:45Speaker 6: It's kind of depressing, honestly, I know. I'm like, I
- 10:48Speaker 6: wish I could go back to those days. Yes, it
- 10:51Speaker 6: made bad decisions, but at least right that you live
- 10:54Speaker 6: and you learn exactly what it makes for good stories.
- 10:57Speaker 6: Oh my god, for sure, do you have any other
- 10:59Speaker 6: crazy from spring break?
- 11:01Speaker 2: I mean not that I can think of.
- 11:04Speaker 6: I feel like that one I really went all out
- 11:06Speaker 6: because I had just broken up with a boyfriend.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:08Speaker 2: It was one of those situations where I was like,
- 11:10Speaker 2: let me just go crazy. Yeah, the other one you should. Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 6: The other ones were like, also drink a lot, but
- 11:16Speaker 6: never got myself into too much trouble.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 2: So that's great.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Okay, well, thank you for coming on. I was
- 11:23Speaker 3: great chatting with.
- 11:23Speaker 2: You and I was good chatting with you too.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Okay, guys, we have our next caller here. Zoe Hey, Zoe.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Hey, thanks for having me on.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, thanks for coming on. So where did
- 11:48Speaker 2: you go to college?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Okay, so I I well, I'm currently a senior at
- 11:52Speaker 1: UCLA and I just literally just got back from spring
- 11:57Speaker 1: break and the craziest thing happened. I was and so
- 12:00Speaker 1: it's on my senior spring break and Costa Rica.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Costa Rica.
- 12:04Speaker 3: I've never heard of people going to Costa Rica for
- 12:06Speaker 3: spring break in college.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I feel like, especially because we go to school in California.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And I don't mean to sound like just because I
- 12:13Speaker 1: grew up in the Midwest, Like, yeah, I have a
- 12:17Speaker 1: friends from Midwestern schools and we would and they all
- 12:19Speaker 1: go to Florida or like, like going to Mexico is
- 12:22Speaker 1: a big deal, but I feel like because Mexico is
- 12:25Speaker 1: so close, we did that our freshman year and then
- 12:28Speaker 1: from there it was like, well, we can't go back
- 12:30Speaker 1: to Mexico if we.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Went our sophomore year. And then like we all went abroad.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Junior year, and so we were like where do we
- 12:37Speaker 1: go senior and a bunch of friends were decided to
- 12:41Speaker 1: get like Airbnb's in Costa Rica. Okay, so like me
- 12:44Speaker 1: and my whole group of friends and my story decided
- 12:47Speaker 1: this year that like we were going to go to
- 12:48Speaker 1: Costa Rica, and then just so happened that there were
- 12:51Speaker 1: other groups in our from our school and then.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Also went there.
- 12:54Speaker 4: I feel like, and you know this, like you went
- 12:56Speaker 4: to STSU.
- 12:57Speaker 1: But I feel like in California, once school start getting
- 13:01Speaker 1: an idea, then the other.
- 13:02Speaker 2: One other ones if they know people from the here
- 13:04Speaker 2: and there.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Yeah, and like that typically happens with Santa Barbara. You
- 13:07Speaker 1: see Santa Barbara and then cal Poly because they always
- 13:11Speaker 1: have the same spring break as us because we're all
- 13:12Speaker 1: the Quarners. So whatever ended up being a bunch of
- 13:15Speaker 1: California school kids down there, which is really fun. But
- 13:19Speaker 1: I just got back and there was a lot of
- 13:24Speaker 1: wildlife in Costa Rica, and I kid you not.
- 13:29Speaker 4: I so I opened my suitcase yesterday.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And I'm unpacking when you got back, yes back in
- 13:35Speaker 1: my college apartment, and there is a snake, like I
- 13:40Speaker 1: literally have a video of it.
- 13:42Speaker 4: But there was like a snake.
- 13:43Speaker 1: How big it was like this and probably like less
- 13:47Speaker 1: than an inch thick but then thick.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Yes, you were gonna say like long but then long,
- 13:53Speaker 3: Like I don't know.
- 13:54Speaker 6: I did.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I had no idea what to do with it, and
- 13:56Speaker 4: you are kidding. I opened, I.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Was unpacking things, and I don't know how a snake
- 13:59Speaker 1: gone my bag. Like we stayed in like a pretty
- 14:01Speaker 1: secure Airbnb, and I like, I literally have no idea
- 14:07Speaker 1: how it got back and how I took a plane,
- 14:09Speaker 1: Like I don't know.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I would freak out, what did you do?
- 14:11Speaker 3: Well?
- 14:11Speaker 1: I mean I didn't claim it on my customs sheet,
- 14:15Speaker 1: so I don't know.
- 14:16Speaker 4: I don't didn't. I'm I'm like.
- 14:18Speaker 2: I'll here, did you put it? Did you grab it?
- 14:21Speaker 2: Did you touch it?
- 14:21Speaker 1: Okay, So I didn't do anything with it, but they
- 14:23Speaker 1: called like Los Angeles Animal Control and they told me
- 14:27Speaker 1: when they showed up to grab it like to get
- 14:29Speaker 1: the snake. I didn't do anything with it, but I
- 14:32Speaker 1: am not someone who's scared.
- 14:35Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I grew up in a summer camp like, and I
- 14:36Speaker 1: would see wildlife a lot, like I'm not so you're
- 14:39Speaker 1: scared of No, I did not grab it, but I'm not.
- 14:42Speaker 4: I wasn't like a running away.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, there's the snake, and my mind
- 14:46Speaker 1: goes too it's oh, it's just like a garden snake.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But then like animal Control showed up and they're like, oh,
- 14:54Speaker 1: this is a venomous snake. And I don't know how
- 14:57Speaker 1: you got this through TSA.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah that's crazy, which is like.
- 15:03Speaker 4: So crazy, but anyway, so that's.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Why I like, what if it would have bet you?
- 15:12Speaker 1: I didn't like my mind as you want to go there.
- 15:14Speaker 1: It was crazy that it it showed.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Up in my bag.
- 15:18Speaker 2: No, I was crazy.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Were all your friends like freaking out, like if they
- 15:21Speaker 3: had something in their bag.
- 15:22Speaker 4: They were ever were stringing out.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But then more like people were wanting to take videos
- 15:25Speaker 1: of it and posted on TikTok Yeah, like this is going.
- 15:28Speaker 2: To go viral. You said you have a video, Yes,
- 15:30Speaker 2: I did. I need to see Okay, wait, I want
- 15:32Speaker 2: to show this to you right now. I feel like
- 15:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna have nightmares.
- 15:37Speaker 1: There's no way you see that there next to my look,
- 15:41Speaker 1: next to my flip flops.
- 15:42Speaker 2: You are kidding, but but but.
- 15:44Speaker 4: The animal control said it was venomous. So that is crazy.
- 15:47Speaker 2: In the tub, No, that is in my suitcase. What
- 15:52Speaker 2: if it would have like went out of there. Did
- 15:55Speaker 2: you use a fit in there?
- 15:56Speaker 4: I don't. I don't know how it crawled in there.
- 15:58Speaker 4: I like I had taken my stuff out of my
- 16:02Speaker 4: I know, I am I never going on vacasion.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I had taken all my clothes out of my suitcase
- 16:08Speaker 1: and my toil trees and everything like unpacked because there
- 16:10Speaker 1: was a we were in an airbnb, and there was
- 16:12Speaker 1: a place to put my dresser and every like stuff
- 16:14Speaker 1: in my dresser and everything. So I wasn't actively using
- 16:17Speaker 1: my suitcase.
- 16:18Speaker 4: And then I didn't.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Happen like when you were packing and went away for
- 16:23Speaker 3: a sacade.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Just psych slithered in there.
- 16:25Speaker 4: That means it was in my airbnb. That's that's crazy.
- 16:28Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Okay, to make matters worse, I have another story.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Okay, let's hear it.
- 16:34Speaker 1: And this didn't happen to me, but it happened to
- 16:36Speaker 1: my friends on the trip. Okay, And I think this
- 16:39Speaker 1: is a psa to people, or just any girls listening particular,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but anyone. I would not recommend doing an airbnb in
- 16:51Speaker 1: a foreign country.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Oh definitely, do not do that.
- 16:54Speaker 4: That's what we did.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Did We did Airbnb's and I would not recommend that
- 16:59Speaker 1: because I just I don't know. I like, I've heard
- 17:02Speaker 1: too many things go wrong, and what happened to my friends,
- 17:04Speaker 1: so they were not saying. We were staying in Tamarindo,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which is like a like a beach town in Costa Rica.
- 17:10Speaker 1: And then I had friends who were staying like more
- 17:11Speaker 1: towards the jungle and they basically the first night they
- 17:17Speaker 1: were there, one of their like sliding doors on you know,
- 17:21Speaker 1: like a sliding glass door that goes out to the
- 17:23Speaker 1: door whatever wasn't fully locking. And they had just gotten
- 17:26Speaker 1: in from their flight. It was really late at night,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and they had like flagged it to the Airbnb people.
- 17:32Speaker 1: They're like, hey, this is not locking, this needs to
- 17:34Speaker 1: be fixed to night, and the people at Airbnb were
- 17:37Speaker 1: super nonchalant, like oh no, no, no, that happened sometimes,
- 17:40Speaker 1: like you're totally safe, You're totally fine. Yeah, And so
- 17:43Speaker 1: that sparked some suspicions, and then it was literally airbnb
- 17:47Speaker 1: full of like ten girls and in the middle of
- 17:50Speaker 1: the night they woke up to somebody at the They
- 17:56Speaker 1: thought maybe it was multiple people they didn't know, but
- 17:59Speaker 1: there was literally some in their room at the foot
- 18:01Speaker 1: of their bed rifling through their bags.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That is terrifying.
- 18:06Speaker 1: And you know, and I know everyone in that moment
- 18:09Speaker 1: thinks they're gonna like perk up and say something to
- 18:13Speaker 1: the person in the room. But if it's pitch black,
- 18:14Speaker 1: like you did, first their first thought was, oh, that's
- 18:17Speaker 1: a why.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Like, yeah, there's an animal.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Because it's pitch black in their room, they think, oh,
- 18:21Speaker 1: that's like an animal, that's a there's a monkey in
- 18:24Speaker 1: our house, Like there's.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Something fine, And it was no, it was a.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Person who had gone into each of the rooms and
- 18:30Speaker 1: I had taken phones and passports of people, like of
- 18:35Speaker 1: my friends in this house and horrible. People had had
- 18:39Speaker 1: like phones that were like next to their head and.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Like terrifying.
- 18:45Speaker 2: And so did they just freeze like they were so scared?
- 18:48Speaker 4: Yeah, some of my friends were so like slept through.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Like weapons either. So that's terrifying.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Exactly, and so some of my friends slept through it,
- 18:56Speaker 1: and then some of my friends were like texting each
- 18:59Speaker 1: other while so like trying to like almost like just
- 19:02Speaker 1: pretend like they were asleep because their their hope was like, Okay,
- 19:06Speaker 1: these people are just going to steal some of our
- 19:08Speaker 1: stuff and like will be okay. Because they didn't even
- 19:12Speaker 1: know what to do with the police, and they called
- 19:13Speaker 1: the police and the police didn't show up until like
- 19:15Speaker 1: three hours later.
- 19:17Speaker 2: That is so scary.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So I would definitely recommend they're all okay. Yeah, I
- 19:23Speaker 1: feel like people really try to do like the cheapest
- 19:25Speaker 1: options possible.
- 19:26Speaker 2: May not college student a foreign country.
- 19:28Speaker 1: But if you're going to a foreign country, especially if
- 19:31Speaker 1: you don't you know, like I don't, I just I
- 19:33Speaker 1: don't know, like if you don't don't take the language,
- 19:38Speaker 1: you don't whatever, like go to a secrete or don't where.
- 19:44Speaker 4: There's security or something.
- 19:45Speaker 1: The Airbnb situation, yeah, I mean that just like really
- 19:49Speaker 1: freaked me out that that had happened to my friends.
- 19:51Speaker 1: And we were all there and we were all like,
- 19:52Speaker 1: do we go home? But they stayed not in the URBNB,
- 19:55Speaker 1: but they went to a resort. But they think it
- 19:57Speaker 1: was maybe like an inside job with the urban because
- 20:00Speaker 1: they were so exactly.
- 20:02Speaker 2: That's so crazy.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Well so anyway, so glad that they're all okay, a
- 20:07Speaker 1: little traumatized.
- 20:08Speaker 4: And I'm spring break this year. Literally we'll be traveling
- 20:11Speaker 4: for a bit.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yes, And I'm glad the animal control came and got
- 20:16Speaker 3: your vet snakes. I know that is crude, crazy, yeah,
- 20:20Speaker 3: oh my gosh.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Okay, thanks.
- 20:22Speaker 3: I am sorry all that happened on spring break, but
- 20:25Speaker 3: I'm glad you're here and okay and that your friends
- 20:27Speaker 3: are okay. Thank you so much for coming on Dirty Rush.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Thanks Daisy.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah bye,
