The Royal Alibi That a Restaurant Took More Seriously Than Scotland Yard (7/7/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. One of the most absurd alibis in history
0:07
was given to us by Prince Andrew when he told
0:10
us he was at the pizza joint up and Woking.
0:13
But according to Woking, who did more of an investigation
0:16
than Scotland Yard, that doesn't seem to be the truth.
0:21
There is no record of Prince Andrew ever being in
0:23
Woking for a pizza knight with his daughter, and there's
0:28
no evidence of that as far as anybody coming forward,
0:32
witnesses or otherwise saying they saw the Prince there, and
0:35
I would think that would be pretty significant. No, you're
0:38
out getting a slice up and Woking and the Prince
0:40
of England's there. I would guess that's something you would remember.
0:46
But I think the real story here is that the
0:48
pizza place did more of an investigation than the fucking police.
0:53
Now if that doesn't enrage you, I don't know what will.
0:57
Today's article was published by BBC and headline Pizza Express
1:01
held inquiry into Andrew's Woking claim. This article was authored
1:05
by Victoria Derbyshire and you in Somerville. Pizza Express held
1:10
an internal inquiry into whether Andrew Mountbattan Windsor had visited
1:14
its restaurant in Woking. BBC Newsnight has learned the former
1:19
prince claimed in his infamous twenty nineteen Newsnight interview that
1:23
he had been at the branch in Surrey on the
1:25
day he was alleged to have slept with Virginia Roberts,
1:29
one of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's survivors. And look,
1:33
her story is always held up. And I had the
1:37
fortunate luck to know Virginia in real life, and I
1:40
had the fortunate luck to speak to her about this
1:42
very topic. And she has been very consistent the whole
1:47
entire time with what she said about Andrew and how
1:50
everything went down. And from Andrew, all we get is
1:55
a bunch of lives and inconsistencies. So why would anyone
1:58
believe him, That's the question. BBC Newsnight has now discovered
2:05
the pizza chain investigated the claim and found no evidence
2:09
that he had or had not been there. Our research
2:12
also found no record of anyone seeing him there on
2:15
the night in two thousand and one. That's because he
2:18
wasn't there. I know, breaking news, Call me fucking Walter cronkite.
2:24
This guy was never in the pizza joint. He was
2:27
at that pizza joint as many times as I've been.
2:31
And the fact that anyone would believe anything coming out
2:34
of his mouth when just about everything he says is
2:36
verifiably bullshit, is crazy to me. If anybody is guilty
2:42
of being an idiot, if anybody's guilty of lying in public,
2:46
it's certainly Prince Andrew moult Bounton Windsor did not respond
2:52
to her request for comment, but he has strenuously denied
2:55
any wrongdoing. Newsnight has revisited the twenty nineteen interview in
3:00
light of the Epstein files and Mount Baton Winsor's arrest
3:03
in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office by
3:07
Thames Valley Police. He was subsequently released under investigation, so
3:12
of course that means he's still being investigated. But the
3:15
issue here is he was never investigated initially. That's the
3:19
big problem, and the fact that Scotland Yard and the
3:22
English government protected him for all these years that's coming
3:26
out now and it's a gigantic problem for the English
3:29
establishment and it should be because anybody that's protecting Andrew
3:35
with all these allegations out there, with all this evidence
3:38
that's available, can certainly be considered as somebody that's enabling
3:41
Jeffrey Epstein at least adjacently. Roberts alleged that she was
3:48
forced to have sex with Mount Batton Winsor three times,
3:51
including when she was aged seventeen. One of these alleged
3:55
to have taken place on March tenth, two thousand and one,
3:58
when Robert said she dined with them, dance with them
4:00
at a nightclub, and gone on to have sex with
4:03
them at the house of Glayne Maxwell, a friend of
4:06
then Prince in Belgravia, Central London. And if you were
4:09
calling the aftermath of that, they told us that couldn't
4:11
happen because you know, the bathtub was too small and
4:15
that Andrew had never been there. He doesn't know anything
4:17
about Belgravia, never been to Glene Maxwell's house. Imagine trying
4:22
to pitch that as your narrative, and Virginia has an
4:25
actual picture of you with your hand around or waist
4:28
at Glene Maxwell's house. What were you guys there for?
4:33
And if it wasn't anything that was evil or bad,
4:37
then why are you denying it? We have a picture.
4:40
We have the evidence of it. Why are you lying?
4:43
And you see, that's my big problem when you show
4:47
yourself to be a liar time and time again, don't
4:50
be mad when nobody believes you're ass. In his News
4:53
Night interview, Mount Batton Windsor said he had instead taken
4:56
his daughter Princess Beatrice to a party at Pizza Express
4:59
in Woke at four pm or five pm in the
5:02
afternoon on that day before spending the night at home. Yeah,
5:06
because that's easily verifiable. Right, were you or weren't you
5:10
at the pizza place? Well, according to the pizza place,
5:13
he wasn't there. Now, if he was at home or not,
5:16
who knows. I doubt it, and that's because I believe
5:20
what Virginia told us. And look, I don't think it's
5:22
just Virginia's word, right, she has the picture, and that
5:25
picture is a big ass deal. People might not want
5:28
to admit it, but that picture's a big ass deal.
5:31
It puts Prince Andrew at the scene of the crime
5:34
with the person who's accusing him. Then you go on
5:37
and look at all the other lies he's told throughout
5:39
the years. How do you come away with anything besides
5:42
Prince Andrew being guilty, and in my opinion he most
5:46
certainly is. The vast majority of the interview was broadcast,
5:52
but a small amount of material was not included because
5:55
of time constraints. This included mount Baton Windsor talking in
5:59
more detail about Pizza Express, including a claim that his
6:02
staff had looked at a diary to find out more information.
6:05
Oh yeah, I'm sure you wrote in your diary that
6:09
you were going to Pizza Express. It was so world
6:12
bending and life changing that you went to a pizza
6:15
place with common folk that you wrote about it in
6:17
your diary. Who believes this, dude, And if you're somebody
6:22
that does believe him, step forward. I'd love to hear
6:25
from you. I'd taken Beatrice to a Pizza Express and woking,
6:29
he said in the interview. This has all been worked
6:32
out by my staff, who have looked at the diary
6:34
and everything else. The Duchess was away, I think United
6:38
States somewhere, and we had a very simple rule at
6:41
that stage. The children had one or other of us
6:45
for all most of well, as often as we could manage. Oh,
6:50
father of the year, Prince Andrew, father of the year,
6:54
because he says he takes his daughter to a pizza
6:56
place in Woking, and he never actually even did that.
7:01
So if one of us was out, the other one
7:03
was in, and then occasionally they would have both of us.
7:06
On this particular occasion, she was away and I was
7:09
at home, So she was away for her daughter's birthday. Like,
7:13
unless it's something that's world bending, why would you not
7:17
be home for your daughter's birthday? I don't understand. Then again,
7:21
I don't understand any of Prince Andrew's story. To tell
7:24
you the truth, Mount Batton Windsor's mentioned a Pizza Express
7:30
in the interview made headlines worldwide in twenty nineteen, with
7:33
some newspapers labeling it an alibi. Oh hell of an alibi? Huh.
7:39
Newsnight has now been told that in twenty nineteen, the
7:42
senior management team a Pizza Express looked into the plausibility
7:45
of Mount Baton Windsor's claim because they believed it was
7:48
a matter of public interest. Bosses held an internal inquiry
7:52
that involved looking for records from that time period, none
7:56
of which could be found, and trying to talk to
7:58
past members of staff and local management. The manager of
8:03
the Woking branch in two thousand and one has since
8:05
left the business so could not be spoken to. It's understood. Look,
8:10
if anybody saw Prince Andrew, they would have come forward
8:13
and said that this man was not at Woking. He
8:16
was not at a pizza place. In my opinion, he
8:19
was at Glayne Maxwell's house, assaulting Virginia. Following its internal inquiry,
8:25
the chain concluded it had found no evidence to suggest
8:28
Mount Baton Windsor had visited and was telling the truth,
8:32
and nothing to suggest that he was not. Newsnight had
8:35
made extensive inquiries to see if there was any record
8:38
of customers staff members having seen him at the Pizza
8:41
Express restaurant, but has found no evidence of him being there.
8:45
Well that's because he wasn't there. I'm sorry, but that's
8:48
the truth. This guy has been nothing but a liar
8:52
from the jump, and the authorities that have been covering
8:55
for him, they're a joke too. Metro Police, Scotland Yard,
9:00
a whole lot of them. One of the routes we
9:03
tried was submitting a freedom of information request to the
9:06
Metropolitan Police asking if any Royal Protection officer accompany the
9:10
former Prince to the Woking branch twenty five years ago.
9:14
In response, the four said it can neither confirm nor
9:17
deny whether it holds its information, citing national security among
9:21
other reasons. Oh what you thought this fucking cover up
9:24
was Germaine to America? Only wrong? This cover up is worldwide.
9:30
And if people over in the UK think that their
9:33
government's not in on it, I got really bad news
9:36
for you. Confirming or denying that information is held would
9:41
reveal whether protection had been afforded to a specific individual
9:45
other than the King and the Prime Minister, the METS said,
9:48
and Or replied to us. This is despite Scotland Yard
9:51
previously referring to Mount Batton Winsor's close protection officer, including
9:56
in a press statement issued in February. The METS response
10:00
once is drawn criticism from Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey.
10:03
Of course, the police are rightly, very careful about giving
10:07
any information about who they give special protection to, he
10:10
told the BBC. I completely understand that, and it's right.
10:15
But too often we see these types of neither confirm
10:17
nor deny answers where there really isn't a legitimate security reason,
10:21
and I think that's what's happening here, and I agree
10:24
with that there's no legitimate security reason. What a bunch
10:27
of bs. He called for an exception to be made
10:32
by the force to reveal the information. I really can't
10:35
see how it's revealing that Andrew had police protection twenty
10:38
five years ago, and how that would play into the
10:40
hands of terrorists as a met claims. He added. Roberts
10:44
died by suicide, allegedly in April of twenty twenty five,
10:48
aged forty one. Mount Batton. Windsor's military titles and royal
10:52
patronages were removed by the late Queen in twenty twenty two,
10:56
and he was stripped of his print's title last year.
10:59
He also left his Windsor Mansion Royal Lodge amid pressure
11:02
from the royal family over his links to pedophile financier Epstein.
11:08
He is consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Well, nobody
11:12
believes them, and I think at this point it's time
11:15
for Scotland Yard, the Metropolitan Police and everybody else involved
11:20
to be more transparent. Will they be well, that is
11:25
the question. All right, folks, that's gonna do it for
11:28
this one. All the information that goes with this episode
