- 1:31with host MJ and Terry. Each week we put today's news
- 1:35into perspective. TuneIn Mondays at 7:00 PM
- 1:38Eastern on Facebook X, YouTube, Roku and Amazon Fire TV, or
- 1:43anywhere you get your podcast MBR, giving veterans a voice.
- 2:00Woo woo is Cinco de Mayo and beyond the headlines is back.
- 2:06I am MJ and my partner over here is Terry and I do believe HR
- 2:11nightmare will be joining us when you hear the train to come
- 2:14around that bend, he'll be with us.
- 2:16So get ready with I don't know if you want earmuffs or if you
- 2:21want bags or I sure what you want, but we got HR to bring in
- 2:27the little funny bone action going on.
- 2:29So it is a beautiful day. Yes, I am darned in Jose Flores
- 2:36because he is such an inspiration to me.
- 2:38So if you saw me earlier this morning, don't normally look
- 2:40like this, but because it is Cinco de Mayo, my friend is of
- 2:45Spanish derivative of that Mexican descent.
- 2:47I am in his honor today. So there you have it.
- 2:52Have you Cinco de Mayo? Yes, I don't have tequila and I
- 2:56don't have a Margarita, but I got some Dasani, so that will
- 3:00have to work right now. That'll work.
- 3:03That works. That'll work.
- 3:05So how you been Terry? What's going on this week for
- 3:07for my friend Terry? It's been good.
- 3:11Do you want to talk about the headline first or you want to do
- 3:14yours first? Nope.
- 3:14Let's. Do you, baby girl?
- 3:16Let's go. So I was really confused why
- 3:21President Trump wants to rename veteran's day into VV Day.
- 3:27And I think that's what it was what he's calling it Victory Day
- 3:30for World War One, and then he wants to do a second on May 8th
- 3:34for World War 2. So I don't really have any
- 3:38problems celebrating victories. I mean, I think that's great and
- 3:41I think we should celebrate our wins.
- 3:43Obviously we have some losses too, unfortunately.
- 3:46But, but the wins, I, I agree we, we can celebrate those, but
- 3:50what happens to all the other veterans for all the other
- 3:52campaigns that we've been in? If you, if we target a certain
- 3:58day for a certain campaign, then what does that look like?
- 4:01I mean, do we have campaigns every every month that we're
- 4:05celebrating? And if so, OK, cool.
- 4:07But, but do we really need a Veteran's Day renamed to
- 4:11something else? Can't we celebrate all veterans
- 4:13on veteran's day? Or does it have to be particular
- 4:16to a campaign or to a battle or to those particular soldiers?
- 4:21I'm just a little confused about why.
- 4:23I understand about celebrating and and acknowledging those
- 4:28service members that have given their all for those advances in
- 4:33wartime, have no problem with that.
- 4:36But I really don't understand limiting a veteran's day
- 4:40celebration to just one category of veterans.
- 4:44I don't understand that. So I'm going to put a flip in
- 4:53our conscious mind. I see him taking something and
- 4:59putting a positive twist. Not that Veteran's Day is not a
- 5:03positive twist, but it's very somber, especially Memorial Day
- 5:09here, right? So if he's looking at that, he
- 5:13wants it more to be a heroic state of a win.
- 5:15He, he wants, in my interpretation, he doesn't want
- 5:21to look at anybody. I understand disabilities and I
- 5:26understand the depth that comes along with it.
- 5:29But I also want everybody to understand how brave and hero
- 5:32these people were, not because they're disabled, but because
- 5:35they were out there to fight for us in our freedom.
- 5:38And every time that we have a higher freedom or a higher
- 5:41elevation of that freedom, it's a victory for him.
- 5:44And I'm going to go with that twist to make it positive
- 5:47because that's what I, I, I need to find.
- 5:52So I don't know, is that on me, you.
- 6:02I I don't think that one's for us.
- 6:05I don't know what that is. Look, is it the studio?
- 6:09I think it's the studio. Well, it's the studio phone, but
- 6:14it's actually. We have a caller well.
- 6:21Hello, Hello. Welcome to Beyond the Headlines.
- 6:25Who are we talking to? Hello, Hello, hello.
- 6:37Yes. Hello.
- 6:38May I speak to Mr. Hunt? You sure?
- 6:44You might want to take him offline.
- 6:49I'll call back call back. OK, well, Mr. Hunt is behind the
- 6:57scenes. He didn't even hear his H train
- 7:00come through yet, so we know he's close by.
- 7:05But anyway, this is my twist and I, I don't know, is sometimes I
- 7:11believe he says things also just because he's kind of like that
- 7:17to either see the negatives or the positive, how people react
- 7:21to what he does. That's true, he does.
- 7:24He does like fire for effect. He does and he likes to push
- 7:29those buttons to and he goes, OK, you calm down now.
- 7:31Just calm down. Right, I'm not really going to
- 7:34do that psych. I was just teasing.
- 7:36That was just to get your attention.
- 7:38It was just a thought process that I was having.
- 7:41I don't know if it's a valid thought.
- 7:43I don't know. I just want your opinion.
- 7:45And you know what, God, God bless him for doing that because
- 7:49the American people use this thing called the Boca like no
- 7:54tomorrow. They just want to fly with it.
- 7:56They just want it out there. They just wanted it.
- 7:58And so for that matter, guess what?
- 8:00I'm very good with it. And I also want to say hello.
- 8:04We I did welcome Tony and I put him up there from the Hoosier's
- 8:08mind. He is such a blessing to have
- 8:10and he's so game oriented and. He's so good and, and, and
- 8:16analyzing and providing statistics and really kind of
- 8:19delving into the details of that sports, sports being he's really
- 8:23good at that. What an engineer analytical mind
- 8:26that man has. Indeed.
- 8:28But you see, we have this problem.
- 8:30He likes really to odds against Penn State.
- 8:33No, I just tease him. Fly by, Tony, I'm just teasing.
- 8:35Him. I don't think he likes my
- 8:36dolphins either, so. I don't like your Dolphins
- 8:41either, and I was in Miami for a long time.
- 8:45Well, I'm with him. I'm with him on that one.
- 8:50So how's that flip? Did that flip make it a little
- 8:52bit better? Yeah, I mean, I think it does.
- 8:54And I I don't like I said, I don't really have any problems
- 8:57celebrating different victories. I really don't.
- 8:59I just, I just, I'm trying to wrap my head around multiple
- 9:04days and celebrating multiple people.
- 9:07How do we do it? What does that look like?
- 9:09And so I mean, I, I do understand that he does just
- 9:13fire for effect, just says things just to kind of gauge
- 9:16reaction or to get people to start listening.
- 9:18Like what did he just say? And like really listening to
- 9:20what he's saying, because that's the way he draws people in is to
- 9:24say something really a random and out there and then they go
- 9:27what? And then they have to start
- 9:29listening in or delving into the details.
- 9:31And it really kind of then, you know, Oh, I.
- 9:33Got your attention? Yes.
- 9:36Oh, so you were listening. OK.
- 9:38I just. I thought you weren't.
- 9:40Now I know you are. So now we can talk.
- 9:44That is so fun to me, you know, and there it is.
- 9:48Is the ego and judgement getting in the way of just what are we?
- 9:51What are we doing? Like that?
- 9:53That would be me. My comment would been the wait,
- 9:57what are what are we doing and why are we doing it?
- 10:00And what what is, how's it gonna benefit?
- 10:04And so I don't know. That's my take.
- 10:06I don't get too, I don't get too emotional with that.
- 10:11Like there's I don't think, I don't think I can because I
- 10:14looked at it, you know how many cancers now?
- 10:17And then they made breast cancer and I'm a breast cancer
- 10:19survivor. So but then they made breast
- 10:20cancer the whole month of October and I'm like, wow, hey,
- 10:24thanks. Not just one day, right?
- 10:29So then they had Pride month. That was another one that was a
- 10:32whole month. OK.
- 10:35Well, maybe if he changes it, maybe the vets every month will
- 10:39have something different. There's another positive
- 10:41outlook. Yeah.
- 10:45I mean, the the thing that I would say too is though, if
- 10:49you're going to be like spending money on these different
- 10:53celebrations or whatever, I'd sooner see that money spent on
- 10:56veterans and in making sure they've got the care they need,
- 11:00making sure they have the resources they need.
- 11:03And retirees, you know, same way sometimes it's hard to get
- 11:06retiree problem solved like pay like like if you're need your
- 11:13retirement points fixed, if you're a reservist or if you
- 11:15just need a new ID card like they to get an ID card, it's a 2
- 11:20month wait in almost anywhere you go, it's two months and the
- 11:24only thing you can do is just go in on walk in basis and hope you
- 11:28get seen that day. If there, if somebody doesn't
- 11:30show up or maybe if somebody is a quick ID card, you know,
- 11:34solution like they all they need is a picture and then a card and
- 11:37that's it. And no updates, you know, so
- 11:39some people move quite quickly through the system, but I'd
- 11:43sooner see extra money spent on really taking care of veterans
- 11:47than just celebrating the wins. That's that's my perspective on
- 11:51it. Not that I not that I don't
- 11:52think we should celebrate those things.
- 11:54I do, but if we're going to add celebrations on and we're
- 11:58spending money where it comes to that, I think that money is
- 12:01better well spent taking care of veterans and retirees and and
- 12:05that type of thing. You know, because the the two
- 12:08systems don't talk. the VA doesn't talk to the the people
- 12:13that actually issue the cards because they're two separate
- 12:15cards. Like my name is in two different
- 12:18states. Yeah, so and and I have to
- 12:21update both of them. They don't update together.
- 12:23So why can't they kind of collide seamlessly?
- 12:27And then you if you update 1, it updates both instead of you
- 12:30having to work this one and then work this one too.
- 12:34So that's I guess my, you know, thought on it.
- 12:37The Department of Defense issues because our our isn't
- 12:40everything, even the VA through the Department of Defense.
- 12:44So when I got my ID card, I had to go get it at a base and and
- 12:48it's a 2 month wait, but I went and just sat there and hoped for
- 12:51the best because I needed it to get record so that I could apply
- 12:55for my retirement. So I had to go sit there and
- 12:57wait. Otherwise I waited till July to
- 12:59get an appointment. And so then after I did that,
- 13:02then I had to go wait at the VA to get my other ID card because
- 13:06they're two separate ones, and my name's different in their
- 13:08system than it is in the DoD system.
- 13:11And it seems like they could talk.
- 13:13And so I'd rather, really rather see them put the two systems
- 13:17together in some fashion where they talked back and forth.
- 13:20Maybe an update, an import or an export of the data.
- 13:24Yeah. Instead of another trouble, 2
- 13:27subjects stand alone. See another problem with
- 13:30females? Females.
- 13:32We go ahead and we take the man's name, you know?
- 13:35Then we screw up our shit. Don't change your name.
- 13:41It's an old pattern. They're not.
- 13:43No, I'm only kidding. They are worth it.
- 13:45But is it worth the aggravation to change it?
- 13:48Aren't you the same person? Are you?
- 13:50Are you really the same person? Isn't that an old belief system
- 13:53that we have to change that name?
- 13:56I don't have to do anything right, but I think it's an old
- 14:00belief flip pen. Trust me, I told you three
- 14:02different times I had my name changed.
- 14:04Right. The VA and the military are so
- 14:06confused. I'm just like I'm a nobody
- 14:09anymore. They don't know who the hell is
- 14:13coming and going. Well, I couldn't go on my first
- 14:16deployment or with the unit because they were trying to do
- 14:19my security clearance and I had three different names they had
- 14:22to to run down and so it took them too long.
- 14:24So I didn't get my clearance in time to go.
- 14:27You said a sex change so it took me too long to get my clearance
- 14:31so I couldn't go. So I was bummed.
- 14:36I just think sometimes with evolution and change, we need to
- 14:40change, right? And maybe that's what that whole
- 14:43thing is about, Jerry. Maybe that's what he's saying.
- 14:45Maybe it's time for a change. You know, I do.
- 14:51You know who Trump reminds me of?
- 14:53I'm, I know I'm gonna get flak for this, but he reminds me of
- 14:57the one of like a bulldog who is in the dog pens, you know, and
- 15:02you have the dog. You know how you have the dog
- 15:04parks and you always have the bully in the dog parks?
- 15:08Yes, that wants to bark at everybody.
- 15:10Right, Or he wants to lift his leg and piss everywhere.
- 15:12Everybody else pissed. And raise a ruckus.
- 15:16Right then, he just wants to leave his mark, right?
- 15:19Right. So that's what he reminds me of.
- 15:22I'm sorry I hurt anybody. Well, I think it's time for our
- 15:27first break. So you want to take our first
- 15:29break? Let's go here.
- 15:31We go so let's listen to Jess Muse, lavender skies.
- 15:35She is just now in OCS for the Coast Guard.
- 15:38She just shipped like last week so she's in like her first real
- 15:42week so I'm sure she's feeling it now all.
- 15:45Right, let's do her. The station, the station where
- 20:05our veterans voices are heard MBR talk.
- 20:08Hey, thanks. For tuning in, Welcome back are
- 20:13those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or
- 20:18positions of any entities they represent.
- 20:21The web at MB radio dot. OK.
- 20:26That's a hairpin trigger mouse is what that is.
- 20:28OK, and I also that duck we we got to do something because he I
- 20:33almost feel like that ducks call me a quack.
- 20:36I'm getting like this complex every time I see this duck I got
- 20:39where's that age train guy? Because I'm like, you're a
- 20:43quack. No, you're a quack.
- 20:44I just want to punch his lights out.
- 20:48Do you think there's emotional trauma there with a duck?
- 20:52I don't know, maybe we need to investigate that further.
- 20:56Age is in the building now. Oh.
- 21:02Come on, it ain't that great. Where's that quack so?
- 21:22Right here I got a mean. That means HR Nightmare is on a
- 21:28studio. Yeah, I got.
- 21:30I got to fix that. Hold on.
- 21:32And there we go. All right, there we go.
- 21:36Hey, Jewel, you're just calling me a quack.
- 21:39I think I've got an emotional breakdown here.
- 21:41You're not the first person that has said something, you know, I,
- 21:46I, I guess when we, when we redo the, the cartoon, we'll, we'll
- 21:51voice something other than Quack.
- 21:54But you know, going back Quack, it's kind of funny.
- 21:59I guess we can. Mention any points on it and
- 22:01then say quack and then then we're not not guessing it's
- 22:04true. You're really calling me?
- 22:09Why didn't you think? About that though.
- 22:12Right. He's he's, I'm like, dude, that
- 22:15guy has that, that duck has something against me.
- 22:20MJ has a duck complex. Oh man, you eat.
- 22:27Ducks in my lifetime. So I love the two topics that
- 22:34you came up with. And I wanted to give my point of
- 22:37view the, the, the veteran's day.
- 22:40You know him. This is how I feel.
- 22:45And I've always supported Trump. I've always supported.
- 22:49Before you speak, right? Huh.
- 22:52Those brains aren't too tight on the brain before you.
- 22:54Speak. No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 22:58OK, just. Checking.
- 23:00What I what I was going to, what I was going to say is.
- 23:03Need to be a. Woman, what I was, what I was
- 23:08going to say is, you know, like there's, there's more things to
- 23:14do and I, I get it. I get it when you, when you
- 23:17change names and stuff, that's probably a lot cheaper than it
- 23:21is doing things. But it's almost like kind of
- 23:24like the VA when when everybody was talking about, you know, the
- 23:28numbers of homelessness that was increasing and then six months
- 23:33later, oh, well, now you can log in and check your, you know, E
- 23:37files and your, you know, veteran emails and stuff like
- 23:41that. But yet, you know, we can't
- 23:44figure out a way to, to help these, these veterans that are
- 23:49that are homeless, you know, and some of them, some of them,
- 23:54you're exactly right. I know what you're going to say.
- 23:58Some of them don't want to be confined to four walls because
- 24:03they don't want an obligation. That's what it distributes to is
- 24:09an obligation. But that doesn't mean that we
- 24:14can't reach out to them and sit with them at least, you know, 15
- 24:21minutes, 20 minutes a day. Take them some medication.
- 24:25Make sure they take the medication.
- 24:27Because I guarantee you once they get their brain and stuff
- 24:30levelled out and everything that could, that could fix society.
- 24:36I'm telling you, you know, all the time they talk about all
- 24:39these like drugs and stuff. Hey, if you have a overfill or
- 24:43expired drugs or whatever, you know, you know, bring them to
- 24:46the VA so we can dispose of them.
- 24:49You know, we all know that they have so much dedicated into meds
- 24:58and stuff. I'm telling you, if if we could
- 25:01treat everybody, I think we, the world would be a different place
- 25:06because 90% of us are on some kind of pills, if not Advil.
- 25:12But here we go again, we're OK 'cause you know me and big
- 25:15pharma. So my flip on this is how bad do
- 25:18we need those pills? How bad are we not healing
- 25:21ourselves? How bad are we?
- 25:22Are we in a conditioned human pattern stating that we have to
- 25:26have those to feel better and not healing the trauma that is
- 25:30causing it? Most of these pills are PTSD,
- 25:33are mind altering mental awareness and mental illness
- 25:36pills that the VA dishes out. We know this.
- 25:41So we're we're altering our veterans minds due to PTSD or
- 25:47our Tbis, but we're not fixing it.
- 25:51We're not fixing the problem. We are masking it with these
- 25:54stupid meds. Now I'm not saying heart
- 25:57conditions or anything else, but then again, heart conditions and
- 26:00everything else. Where is new age medicine?
- 26:02Why is it that we are not using new age medicine when we know it
- 26:07exists well? The and and that's the whole
- 26:11point is why are we worried about all this stupid shit that
- 26:16doesn't need to be done rather than worrying about the stuff
- 26:20that needs to be done? You know, like, who cares what?
- 26:25Who cares what day, day, we name it.
- 26:28What we need to do is we need to focus on, OK, look, we get it,
- 26:33you, you, you, you, you won the election by electronical votes
- 26:38and most popular vote, blah, blah, OK, Al Bundy, that shit's
- 26:42over there. All right?
- 26:43Now we're here, OK? And we need to figure out how
- 26:48are we going to make other people, you know, feel less
- 26:53stressed with all this. You know, tariffs and stuff,
- 26:57That's fine. Trump, if you want to do the
- 26:59tariff stuff, that's fine. But as a president, you should
- 27:02have a backup plan before you initiate something because he,
- 27:08it doesn't look like they were ready for this, just like they
- 27:12weren't ready for COVID. But he's creating his own COVID.
- 27:16That's what he's doing. I'm laughing not because of
- 27:21COVID, I'm laughing because I agree that his mouth gets him in
- 27:27more trouble than anything else because in the long run he
- 27:32speaks on his mind of ideas like we were talking about with.
- 27:36Before he bats him, yeah. Right.
- 27:39And I think what he does, I think he does that to get the
- 27:42whim. And since he could care less who
- 27:44hates him and who loves him, he just wants to see what the
- 27:47majority of the people are saying.
- 27:49And the, the population in whole has gotten to be so mouthy and
- 27:55so poignant that he's going to hear if it's a good thing or a
- 28:01bad thing, he's going to hear it.
- 28:03So for me, I, I feel that he likes to ruffle feathers just to
- 28:09get his, get the what it is back.
- 28:12Like he needs to get that information.
- 28:14There's no other way to get it except putting on social media
- 28:17because everybody but baby boomers seems to be on social
- 28:20media trying to figure out what's next.
- 28:22So in that aspect, you have more of a population going to have a
- 28:28rebuttal on social medias according to what he wants to
- 28:31do. That's my take for whatever it
- 28:33is, because I have to fight, like I'd said before, I have to
- 28:37fight conscious positive in it all.
- 28:40And if it's not, then it just let it all play out because
- 28:43Divine will always play everything out beautifully,
- 28:45right? It always does and it always
- 28:47will. And then we learn our lessons
- 28:49and then we go forward and you know, so, yes, so you can sit
- 28:53here and we can complain about it because, but we can't
- 28:56complain because nothing's been done.
- 28:58Man, every time he does something that I don't like, I
- 29:01just think to myself, damn man, couldn't you have went golfing
- 29:04today? I mean, yeah.
- 29:08Let's go golfing right now. Just go golfing.
- 29:11Take a break. Take a pause.
- 29:13You're out of 10. I'm going to need you out of
- 29:14five. People need to gripe about him
- 29:16playing golf because he needs to do something or you're going to
- 29:19hear his mouth. The man has too much energy.
- 29:24But he does. He doesn't sleep much.
- 29:27He only sleeps. Something.
- 29:29Minimal hours a night and he and he works all the time,
- 29:34constantly he does. He's a four hour kind of guy.
- 29:37Yeah, he is his whole life. Yeah.
- 29:40You know, I'm sorry, we're ragging on Trump.
- 29:42So all you people, we're not ragging, we're assisting.
- 29:46We're assisting understanding what he's trying to do.
- 29:49So we're going to flip that because that's that's not how
- 29:52that works either. So but I I do believe he that
- 29:57his he's a radical. He is a radical.
- 30:01You know, people don't like that and but you know what?
- 30:04I don't know if there's a, a military person out there is not
- 30:08radical right. You get put on a line and you're
- 30:11going to do something, it's going to make a quick decision
- 30:13or you're going to make a, a quick speech about something.
- 30:16And that's just how I look at that.
- 30:18I, I am, I am it right? If I am, if I am pushed or I
- 30:22have to make a quick decision, I speak out loud and everybody
- 30:25like comes back at me and I'm like, stop, I, I'm, I'm talking
- 30:30it out, right, because that's human process.
- 30:32Talk it out. So unless you get it out, you
- 30:35can't talk it out. Same as every type of healing in
- 30:38the world. If we don't, if we don't speak
- 30:40it out or we don't talk it out, nobody ever knows what you're
- 30:43thinking. Nobody ever knows what's going
- 30:45on up here. So now you know.
- 30:47So I look at that going, thanks for letting me know what you're
- 30:50thinking, but I don't think it's a good idea.
- 30:52But I'll sit over here. I'll sit over here and see what
- 30:55the rest of the world wants to conjure up and spew out their
- 30:57Boca and, you know, see how that works.
- 31:00You really think he's going to do it?
- 31:01I don't know. I don't know, either he might
- 31:05have too much pushback to do it, or it may just be some way of
- 31:08him kind of pushing a bigger issue.
- 31:12Not really that one. Yeah, The next thing you got to
- 31:15know, it's going to be, especially with the veterans and
- 31:18the military, it's going to go back.
- 31:19To. Him calling what's his name, not
- 31:22a hero. And it's gonna bring up all this
- 31:24other shit because people are healed from it.
- 31:27And then it's gonna be that he was in the military, he was a
- 31:30coward, and it's gonna be a domino effect with this.
- 31:33You watch and it's gonna be, can't you just wait?
- 31:37Just wait, Just just wait. Just wait for it, right?
- 31:41See what he's gonna do next. That's how it was.
- 31:44Most of the European countries backed out of the tariffs.
- 31:48Exactly what he tried to do. The only one who's playing
- 31:50hardball is Mr. Chinaman. And of course it's always Mr.
- 31:54Chinaman because China and Russia are always in the back
- 31:56pockets of one another. So it's always worked out in
- 32:00that favor. So now you have to realize, I
- 32:03don't know if you all saw this, but the satellites picked up his
- 32:07huge underground nuclear stuff underground.
- 32:11Did you see that? I hope they're good.
- 32:15So they that was, that was on the on the news, not on the
- 32:20news. It was on the forums on the
- 32:25Internet. Yes, I know, blah, blah, blah,
- 32:27but they actually have pictures from the from the the satellites
- 32:31taking the pictures above Russia, just like Russia takes
- 32:34our pictures and what we do in our fields and in our deserts.
- 32:37So we now know that he has almost a size of a Pentagon
- 32:42under the ground that he's building with rebarb for a
- 32:46they're under like a headquarter.
- 32:50Yeah. So maybe, I don't know, maybe I
- 32:53don't know. People get very upset with Mr.
- 32:57Trump in these tariffs with China.
- 32:59And did you see that then this is how it all fumbles down.
- 33:02Jeff Bezos. Did you see about Jeff Bezos
- 33:05selling his shares? 890 billion?
- 33:10I think it was. Did you see that?
- 33:13No. No, we an awful bunch of people
- 33:15too. Yeah, so Mr. Bezos, Jackass that
- 33:20he is. Sorry, did I say that out loud
- 33:22again? Cancel clear.
- 33:23Delete. Mr. Bezos was invited to the
- 33:28Oval Office on Inauguration Day. Mr. Bezos just pads pockets of
- 33:33every politician so that his company got ahead in life.
- 33:37Mr. Capitalism. Mr. Capitalism, even though
- 33:41Trump, Trump said no more imports, no more this, no more
- 33:44that. He made an under the table
- 33:48contract with China so that Amazon didn't fall into pieces
- 33:54because Amazon has a whole bunch of contracts with China.
- 33:58That's true. Uh huh.
- 34:00So when they called, when I guess somebody from the
- 34:04administration supposedly had called him out on it, he decided
- 34:08he was selling his $890 billion shares.
- 34:12Wow. You think that's enough to live
- 34:14on for the rest of his life? I would think.
- 34:17Yeah. So that's the kind of person
- 34:19that guy is. So do I trust that information?
- 34:24I never trusted Mr. Bezos to begin with.
- 34:26And seeing as I ordered a fire, what was it?
- 34:32A fire cover? You know how you have those
- 34:33little fireplaces? I ordered one for my mother.
- 34:37I ordered it over 2 weeks ago. She goes, what happened?
- 34:40I go, I have no idea. I have prime.
- 34:41It should have been there. I have no So I look at it made
- 34:44in China. Yeah.
- 34:48I go it is on literally the slow boat from China trying to evade
- 34:53tariffs and go around every sea imaginable around this world.
- 34:56I'm sure that's why it's taking so long.
- 34:59That is a guest people. I'm not really I, I don't know,
- 35:02but and I looked at my mother and I said I understand that's
- 35:05what you wanted. I understand that's what you
- 35:06gave me. I go but I could have went down
- 35:09to Kohl's and had one made in the USA in canvas and you would
- 35:12have had it already. That's not what you wanted.
- 35:14So do we see the problem? Yes, because greed takes over
- 35:21mental acuity or mental awareness of what we're supposed
- 35:24to be doing. Supposed.
- 35:25To does. That make sense?
- 35:28Makes sense? Do you want to take a quick
- 35:30break and then we'll come back and talk about your topic?
- 35:33Yes, that's true. All right, let's do it.
- 35:36Let's do coffee. Anderson.
- 35:38You can't spell hero without her.
- 35:40Her, her or her? The station where our veterans
- 38:42voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 38:47For tuning in, welcome are those of the speakers and do not
- 38:51necessarily reflect the views or positions of any entities they
- 38:56represent. The web at MB radio dot we were.
- 39:02Back power. Up duck, man.
- 39:06She's trying to punch out the duck.
- 39:10It'd be nice to Beaker. He's had a hard life.
- 39:13He's. Had a.
- 39:16Hard day, too. I'm going to call him Frankie.
- 39:22You know, we're we're, we're supposed to get some new ducks
- 39:25here pretty soon and these are these are what they're going to
- 39:29look like. They're little ducks and jeeps.
- 39:31And then on the hood of it, it's going to have the NBR logo and
- 39:37we're working with them to mold it to where they have headsets.
- 39:41And, and I have to remind everybody that my my wife is now
- 39:48an author and she has published 5 books.
- 39:55One of them, Oh we love you, die tired.
- 39:59We for sure do. And one thing, her first book,
- 40:09they, we, we for some reason, they just keeps coming back.
- 40:12No, no, no. But she's got 1 published and we
- 40:15just published 3 yesterday. Usually takes about 3 days for
- 40:20Amazon to review and stuff like that.
- 40:22But you know, we're going to have cartoons.
- 40:25But this is kind of like the map to the cartoons.
- 40:28You know, this is because this is the way I'm looking at it.
- 40:31All right. When when a, when a veteran is
- 40:33with kid, the kid probably isn't going to understand, you know,
- 40:37the writing. He probably isn't going to
- 40:39understand the writing to begin with, you know, but the veteran
- 40:44can. And while they're while they're
- 40:47coloring and the veterans looking at all this information
- 40:52on how to navigate through something, it gives them a
- 40:56little bit more confidence. Like, oh, shit, that's how you
- 41:00do OK, We, we can try this. And it gives them a little bit
- 41:05more confidence. Yeah, that's nice.
- 41:08I like that. Fairly good.
- 41:10Cassie, we love you. Thank you out there.
- 41:13It's also a good meditation tool, just.
- 41:16Saying it is, Yeah. Stress reliever it is.
- 41:18It's a color, yeah. Coloring.
- 41:20Yeah, it it, it's supposed to relieve the tension.
- 41:24And then Buddhism, they teach you that in coloring like a
- 41:27mandala, if you start in to go out, then you got your answers.
- 41:31By the time you color out, if you go out to come in, then you
- 41:33have the reason why things are not working.
- 41:36You have a different perspective.
- 41:38Just a little tad bit of information here.
- 41:44So either way, it's all good. But please, I would like to see
- 41:48you guys bend down and shake your tail feathers with that
- 41:51duck. Love you, Joe.
- 42:04Hey, I asked what he delivers. This is this man.
- 42:07This man? Oh, he still delivers.
- 42:12Be careful. What, you ask, and you're sport.
- 42:17I don't need any loans over Colorado right now.
- 42:22No, I'm kidding. The moon over my hammy.
- 42:27And you know when you're drunken and you're at a carnival and
- 42:30they're like moons? I got a moon for your hammy.
- 42:36Yikes, Yikes. So my topic I happen to see on
- 42:41the news, this one came right off the news and I just laughed.
- 42:45I I laughed, but then I saw purpose and then purpose turned
- 42:48in. So here we go.
- 42:51Trumpism again. He's going to.
- 42:53He's thinking aloud again. Yeah, that he wants Alcatraz to
- 43:02reopen as a jail and remove it from the Interior, Department of
- 43:06Interior, Department of Interiors or National Parks.
- 43:09So he would like to remove Alcatraz so he can utilize this.
- 43:13Now his thought thinking is because the Democrats and the
- 43:17Liberals, unfortunately everything he does, they're
- 43:20using taxpayer money just through his ass to do things.
- 43:24That's sickening. It is sickening.
- 43:26I and here you go, you'll never hear me say it in my entire life
- 43:29again, but kudos to Bill Maher. Kudos to Bill Maher whether you
- 43:34like him or not. Kudos to him because if you
- 43:37didn't see the shift interview that he did, he called him out.
- 43:40So for every Democrat and liberal pleas to go look at Bill
- 43:43Maher because he puts it into perspective, MSNBC finally stood
- 43:48up and said, why did you put? And they have it on Pelosi now
- 43:54they have it on Barack. They have it on Biden.
- 43:57They have it they have it on a lot of them that they were blown
- 44:01up in the screens and their followers to listen.
- 44:05And so this Alcatraz thing is his idea of saying, you know
- 44:11what, good. But my people come before
- 44:15immigrant. What's a word I want to use?
- 44:20Bad person. They they come before the bad
- 44:24immigrants. He has yet to send every
- 44:26immigrant who is here illegally out.
- 44:29But what he has done with the help of all his teams is try to
- 44:33get the gang members out, try to get those who are corrupting of
- 44:38justice and corruption of everyday living.
- 44:42So, and his thought process allowed again, his loud thought
- 44:47process was, well, I'll just open up that jail.
- 44:50Well, you do know Pelosi wanted to put a stop to that, and so
- 44:52did Schiff. And so did what's the other
- 44:54guy's name? Well, and I think it's important
- 44:59for people to know that when they talk about, you know,
- 45:03arresting these immigrants and sending them back and stuff,
- 45:06these, these immigrants that they're talking about are not
- 45:09the ones that are outside of Home Depot.
- 45:11They're not the ones that are outside holding signs.
- 45:14People, these these guys are like convicted felons.
- 45:18The only way they would be able to tell that they were even
- 45:23around or in the area is because, you know, they, I don't
- 45:27want to say they have a barcode on them, but they, you know,
- 45:29they, they have, you know, yeah. They're numbered, they're
- 45:35tagged, they know who they are. They've committed heinous
- 45:38crimes, even to the point of murders.
- 45:41And so why are our congressmen, senators that people voted in?
- 45:46Why you would vote these people in is beyond me.
- 45:49Newsome was the other guy. And so Trump said, I want to
- 45:55know how much it's going to be to reopen this.
- 45:59Now, MJ and her beautiful youth in the military got to go to
- 46:04Castle Air Force Base, but that's pretty close to San
- 46:07Francisco, to Alcatraz. But it wasn't good enough just
- 46:11to be a visitor to tour. No, no, no MJ.
- 46:17And they had to force a cell door just so I can get my
- 46:22picture in there. Now guess what happened.
- 46:26MJ spent 8 hours in Alcatraz in a cell because the door could
- 46:31not come back open. So, Mr. Trump, there's a lot of
- 46:34issues with the doors just. Just don't close the door on
- 46:39yourself. You're not getting back out.
- 46:40There's the reason why it's closed.
- 46:43You know, you go to a fast food restaurant, nobody sticks around
- 46:46at those ambulance there. You know, they kind of tend to
- 46:53buddy. 8 hours I sat and I watched everybody going do
- 46:58yourself a favor. Don't shut the door to get a
- 47:00picture. Please don't.
- 47:02You'll be in your cell because they can't find the guy to come
- 47:06and fix the electric and fix the mechanism.
- 47:08So now I'm stuck. Crowbars didn't work.
- 47:11They must work. But 8 hours later I got out.
- 47:15It was all good then. Yeah, I didn't like it.
- 47:20I didn't like it. How to use the toilet.
- 47:22Nick Carrot didn't flush. I had to use it.
- 47:24They had to block the window for me.
- 47:26But it was, it was a, it was a trip.
- 47:30And yeah, it's a big facility. And yes, there is electric there
- 47:34and there is food in there that, I mean, they have operations
- 47:38that they can as beat up as the, the, the jail is.
- 47:42Well, look at Gitmo, right? How much did it cost to house
- 47:46them down in Gitmo and and redo all of those barracks the same
- 47:51thing? It's not.
- 47:53He speaks, but sometimes he just doesn't do.
- 47:56He just speaks to get people's ideas and how they feel about
- 47:59it. Again, I don't know.
- 48:02I can tell you, Mr. Trump, there's a definite cell issue
- 48:05going on. I don't know how much that's
- 48:09going to cost you, but to take it back from the National Park,
- 48:14where are tax dollars already paying for it So and it's.
- 48:18AII would say a suggestion to Trump is when you're bored and
- 48:24you don't want to go on Amazon and you don't want to watch Full
- 48:28House and all those great, you know, TV commercials on
- 48:31Nickelodeon tonight, here's a suggestion there.
- 48:35You know, Mr. President, you have a huge poll.
- 48:39Like when you talk, people listen.
- 48:42And what I would suggest is, you know, especially here lately,
- 48:47there's a lot of missing kids being reported a lot more
- 48:53lately. And we already know about the
- 48:56sex trafficking that is happening in this country.
- 49:00I would say every week they would put and you they would
- 49:05smear. Hey, you know, this, this is
- 49:09the, this is the child of the week that we're looking for, you
- 49:13know, get it all out there. Because when somebody has to
- 49:19come to us as a media place to do a missing kids report, you
- 49:25know, we're going to try our best, but we're not even going
- 49:28to come close to what the mainstream media can do.
- 49:32Yeah. True that.
- 49:35I'm just being honest. And that's all it takes.
- 49:38You know, sometimes you just got to be honest and sometimes you
- 49:41just got to put it out there. And like I said, he's he's one
- 49:45of those presidents that likes to spill his mouth on social
- 49:47medias just to get everybody's opinion.
- 49:50And when that happens on every platform, you're going to get
- 49:53everybody's opinion. So, you know, I don't know some,
- 49:58it's not how I would do it, but. Channel 9 can just put up a post
- 50:03and they get, they get opinion, you know, everybody's a law
- 50:07expert in the comments, you know.
- 50:10That's like every president, what is it?
- 50:12Every election, everybody becomes a political science
- 50:16major, right? Yeah, I like that.
- 50:21OK. And you were waitress yesterday,
- 50:25but a political science today. And you were a Carpenter
- 50:27yesterday and you were a nurse. Oh, my goodness.
- 50:30Now we're all political science and we all know.
- 50:33We all know for sure. So, yeah.
- 50:37So I don't know. I don't know about that, but I
- 50:39think it's a good idea. Gitmo was a great idea.
- 50:42Didn't didn't cost too much for the United States taxpayers, but
- 50:45at least it got them off our our grounds.
- 50:48And if the Democrats and liberals want them here for
- 50:52whatever stupid reason that they want them still here, well,
- 50:55they're going to be here. But, you know, raping, killing,
- 51:00stealing, Grand Theft. And storage.
- 51:04Look, it worked for Australia. Yeah, so, you know, it's funny
- 51:10because Australia is the same as as England and they took guns,
- 51:14they banned guns. And I was like, yes, because
- 51:17that gun can kill one or an auto could kill what?
- 51:20How many rounds in an auto 50? How many rounds?
- 51:23Anybody know? Depends on the magazine.
- 51:26I don't know. I don't do math in.
- 51:28Public, right? So let's just say 50 rounds,
- 51:33right? So now you have 1 to 50 in these
- 51:36rounds, but because you banned guns in your country, now you
- 51:42have people who are loading vans with explosives and taking out
- 51:46complete convention centers taking out complete.
- 51:49OK, so now we're killing thousands at a time or hundreds
- 51:54at a time, not one because of a gun.
- 51:58Now then what they're doing now is absolutely.
- 52:02So now everybody, they're allowed to have a knife.
- 52:05You're allowed to have a knife, So what do you think is more
- 52:08gruesome? Walking down the street and
- 52:09somebody, you know, stabs into your spleen and have a fight and
- 52:13chance or somebody who has a gunshot?
- 52:17I'm very conflicted with this. There is not a good belief in
- 52:20flip pattern besides keep your hands to yourself and all your
- 52:23ammo. That's the only belief in flip
- 52:25you have. And it's not the gun that kills
- 52:27the people. It's the person that kills the
- 52:30people. It is the unhealed that kills
- 52:34the people. I blame it.
- 52:36I'm sorry, Joel, but I do. I blame it on some of these
- 52:39really, really violent video games for these young kids.
- 52:43I know we talked about that before.
- 52:45These parents are not watching these kids.
- 52:48We watch them like fosstating one of these things because they
- 52:54are so realistic. I mean, before Super Mario, I
- 52:57mean, where you got to find a Super Mario dragon to kill your
- 53:02best luck was on Halloween. Oh, there it is.
- 53:04I'm going to pop his head. But now it's not.
- 53:07I mean, I don't know if the cognitive mind of these kids are
- 53:13understanding what's real and what's not real anymore.
- 53:17Well, and then you don't know how they were brought up either.
- 53:20You know, they could have been brought up in an orphanage or
- 53:23from broken home. I mean, I wasn't brought up in
- 53:26no broken home, but you know, I, I got transferred to five
- 53:31different schools within like the first one of the school
- 53:35years. I mean, that's, that's a lot of
- 53:37PCs, if you get what I mean. You know, we don't.
- 53:41And for example, like a woman, I don't know if it was last week,
- 53:49but it was it. Well, I told you guys about
- 53:52Betsy Ross, you know, where she had that negative comment.
- 53:57And, you know, I kind of, you know, wrote her.
- 54:00I'm like, hey, you know, don't don't worry about it.
- 54:03Sometimes people's, you know, effects from somebody else's
- 54:09causes because of the way they were brought up or maybe, maybe
- 54:13they got triggered. You know it.
- 54:17It doesn't take much of A trigger if you can be triggered.
- 54:20Yeah, true. True, because you'd have all
- 54:26these trigger words to trigger the emotion to trigger the the
- 54:29physical and that's very good. What we teach with the PTSD know
- 54:34your trigger words know and then have your list of rebounds
- 54:38right. That subject as quick as it
- 54:40comes in. So, and I, and I do, I mean, I,
- 54:44I can't think of any normal mind mentally person who would just
- 54:52go to a school with a gun and start killing people.
- 54:54There is some mental problems here big time or the education
- 55:00is with a lot of people that you're going to upset me.
- 55:05In in that situation, I think a lot of those shootings happen
- 55:11because they're bullied and and like the high school and stuff
- 55:15and they just keep it on. We we don't know what they're
- 55:18thinking. You know, no killer has ever
- 55:21make a documentary, you know, and or, or killed a bunch of
- 55:25people got out and then made a documentary.
- 55:28We don't know what they're thinking, but that's what I
- 55:31would be thinking If you know, if, if I got stuffed in a
- 55:35locker, you know which what? Happened to the old stuffing in
- 55:39the locker or yeah people or you know.
- 55:44Kids can be really kids can be really hateful and we all know
- 55:50that when when people are hateful and you get to that
- 55:55moment where you're angry, you know, you know how you always
- 55:59say, you know, one more thing. And I mean, that's just going to
- 56:03I'm just going to go meltdown. You know, there's always one
- 56:06more thing. And that's what I think those
- 56:09kids go through especially. When they get home.
- 56:12Yeah, exactly. That was TikTok.
- 56:16I did not do anything. Oh my God.
- 56:23That is TikTok. I love TikTok.
- 56:25I'll come off of random. That that comes from e-mail.
- 56:28So when she talks or when anybody comments or anything on
- 56:33TikTok, we're we're going to hear it.
- 56:36So did you see that law? Thank you, TikTok.
- 56:39Against Siri, the big lawsuit like 98 million or $98 billion
- 56:47with Siri invading of personal rights, privacy because it
- 56:54listens in. Where do you think AI came from
- 56:56now that was super delayed. Siri, stop Siri, you're a pain
- 57:09in my ass. Wow, I would remember this.
- 57:14Time will be a tracer, light, light and all of a sudden it
- 57:17just goes off and I didn't say anything.
- 57:24You're interrupting the show. See Jordan there?
- 57:26There you go. MBR can go.
- 57:27And I'm going to get into this with my podcast.
- 57:29Siri interrupted my complete podcast, and now I'm going to be
- 57:32into the third, the third class action suit against Siri.
- 57:37My damn, this is Siri. You are working for Big Daddy.
- 57:44I see you. Every time they Call My Name at
- 57:49work, they think it's saying Siri.
- 57:51So Siri wakes up and starts talking because they say.
- 57:54Siri and then Siri. Goes yes, what do you need?
- 57:59Well, emo, thanks, thanks for tuning in over at TikTok.
- 58:03She she's like, oh wow. Because, you know, when she when
- 58:07she types something, we got another thing coming in.
- 58:12I think, I don't know if it does emojis or not, but yeah, that's
- 58:16what I that's what I think all the shootings are from is kids
- 58:21being bullied, you know, and. That's one of the reasons for
- 58:24sure, yeah. Management.
- 58:26They're not. They're not.
- 58:28They're not being heard. They're not.
- 58:30And, you know, and a lot of people give me this excuse.
- 58:34Well, you know, back in my time, we didn't have any shootings and
- 58:37it was bullying. Yeah.
- 58:39Back in your time, the bullying stopped at the door.
- 58:42And it doesn't stop at the door anymore.
- 58:45It's all over the. End out of the rooms and it was
- 58:48trap in Miami like my kids would tell me from the high schools
- 58:53like every day at these high schools, there'd be a certain
- 58:56fight. There'd always be a fight and
- 58:58the and the teachers who just lock themselves in the room.
- 59:02They don't even break the fight up.
- 59:04That is sickening. So how do adults who are
- 59:09teachers are supposed to be able to react?
- 59:12Well, they took corporal punishment out of the schools in
- 59:15the what, the 80s, eighty 6 or 88 or something like that or 90.
- 59:20So, you know, that's really ridiculous because if the
- 59:23parents aren't going to teach them right from wrong and you're
- 59:25sending them to school every single day for 12 years of their
- 59:29life and they can't teach them right from wrong and, and, and
- 59:33an atmosphere that needs to have correction, then what are we
- 59:37doing? Because I believe that there are
- 59:39some people who don't need corporal punishment, but I do
- 59:43need I I think there are some out there who need a whack in
- 59:46the ass. I'm just sorry, I'm I'm old
- 59:48time, but I do believe that I do believe that, you know, and here
- 59:51I am. I'm sure some of my
- 59:53spiritualists are going MJ Oh my God.
- 59:57But you know, there's just some people who learn and there's
- 1:00:01some people who don't learn. That's just how it is, right?
- 1:00:05Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:00:07That's my thought. Yeah, that's my flip.
- 1:00:10But there really isn't a good flip for the bullying besides
- 1:00:13knock it off, right? I don't know.
- 1:00:18And, and sometimes, sometimes you can fight bullying with,
- 1:00:23with empathy, but you got to remember that, you know that
- 1:00:27bully, there could be two sides of that bully.
- 1:00:30Some kids are taught right from wrong and choose to be bullies.
- 1:00:35That's true too. Way to go, Harold.
- 1:00:40That freaks me out. That's a deep voice.
- 1:00:45Right. I think it.
- 1:00:46I think it changes voices though.
- 1:00:49Yeah, and some, and I think some kids are just too afraid to
- 1:00:54speak up. I think that they get so
- 1:00:56pressured between the parents thinking that they're going to
- 1:00:59get in trouble or the teachers are going to get in trouble or
- 1:01:01how them being bullied, they're going to somehow get in trouble.
- 1:01:07And I think that's the silenceness.
- 1:01:09I think that's where that silenceness comes from.
- 1:01:11It changes whenever it wants. You know I'm going to punch your
- 1:01:16lights out. It's like a stupid stock.
- 1:01:22Changes when it wants. I love it.
- 1:01:27Also, he hits you because he likes you.
- 1:01:32That's like pulling hair, right? Kindergarten little guy pulling
- 1:01:35hair. I like you, I have to hurt you
- 1:01:38'cause I like you. That's pretty sick.
- 1:01:43That is a sick concept, little man.
- 1:01:48Anyhoo, there are are beyond the headlines.
- 1:01:51Tonight we are past our one hour.
- 1:01:53Mark, we are. Please don't tell our our.
- 1:01:58Our director, don't tell him, don't tell.
- 1:02:00Don't tell the station manager either because she'll come
- 1:02:02after. You does anything anyways, so.
- 1:02:09We are so in trouble. OK folks, I love having this.
- 1:02:13You want to type and see what THR voice sounds like?
- 1:02:21Oh it doesn't sound good. I didn't like it.
- 1:02:27Let's try fairy voices. So anywho, maybe we can talk to
- 1:02:34that director and maybe get another half hour time on this
- 1:02:39this beautiful station so that we can always come with tales
- 1:02:42and fun. We.
- 1:02:43We. Hey, wait a minute, a minute,
- 1:02:45wait a minute. We don't have anybody we don't
- 1:02:49have. Have a good night y'all.
- 1:02:52Y'all, I like that it's y'all. Y'all.
- 1:02:56They're from Texas, or at least from the South.
- 1:03:00The. South shall rise again, and then
- 1:03:02what they say. Exactly that Lone Star State,
- 1:03:07they're all loners. So, well, we can.
- 1:03:14So then you bring up your topic of discussion there.
- 1:03:17Nightmare. Oh well.
- 1:03:20Oklahoma. Oklahoma, OK, that's far enough
- 1:03:23South. I get it.
- 1:03:24Oklahoma. Where the wind comes.
- 1:03:27I used to live in Oklahoma. OK, no, I think I think she was
- 1:03:32saying have a good night y'all. And she was telling us where,
- 1:03:36where, where she was calling from.
- 1:03:39So I I have no idea. I the only thing, the only thing
- 1:03:47that bothers me is there's a lot of, there's a lot of talk
- 1:03:53everywhere and I'm not seeing results.
- 1:03:59You know, there's a lot of talk about all these, you know, and
- 1:04:04you can't believe everything that you hear on TikTok because
- 1:04:09you'll hear some say, Oh, well, you know, we, we got all this
- 1:04:15stuff of approved and it's like, no, you don't.
- 1:04:22And I don't know why people do that.
- 1:04:24They they do like like you've seen it.
- 1:04:26There's fake tik toks about somebody like dying and it's the
- 1:04:31right information but it's the wrong picture.
- 1:04:36OK, so I, I, I, I'm not sure I could ever take anything off of
- 1:04:39social media and call it truth. No.
- 1:04:45It's kind of like the commercials that you get that
- 1:04:47pop up, you're like, I'll be damned if I'm going to just tag
- 1:04:50on one of them. I don't care what kind of
- 1:04:52sponsor thing it is. I ain't tagging it.
- 1:04:56I mean, really, Joel, do you really listen to TikTok and find
- 1:04:59that you you agree or you believe in it?
- 1:05:02Come on, Joel. No, but you know when it brings
- 1:05:05up. I'm sorry, I had a little
- 1:05:11Tourette's. We we will make sure that we do
- 1:05:16another cartoon of another character and, and, and instead
- 1:05:21of it saying welcome back, it was it'll be like Namaste.
- 1:05:24Oh, there you. Go see.
- 1:05:27There you go. Yeah.
- 1:05:30Peter Pan man, that was that was an add color flavor word.
- 1:05:40Yes. It's a decorated sentence, means
- 1:05:46no harm, no foul. Joel's looking at me like there
- 1:05:52is something wrong with this chick.
- 1:05:56There is really something wrong. It's all good, Joel.
- 1:06:00There's nothing wrong with you. Oh, I know.
- 1:06:03Where's this? We're just relaxing.
- 1:06:06We're just chilling. We're just talking, you know, so
- 1:06:09to. Be quite honest, I'm going to
- 1:06:12show, I'm going to share something with the crew.
- 1:06:15OK. So there's something called Mr.
- 1:06:17Moxie. You ever heard of it?
- 1:06:20No. Well, they're artisan mints and
- 1:06:26they are delectable discrete mints.
- 1:06:30So what I thought I was taking was 20 inches of CBD but I'm
- 1:06:36not. So as I chewed my little mint
- 1:06:391/2 hour ago, I understand that that is not 20 CBDS.
- 1:06:46I misread it. Oh oh.
- 1:06:52I know, so that's why. What is it?
- 1:06:57It's actually THC, it says. I thought it was the reverse.
- 1:07:03I thought it was high because I take a lot of CBD for my
- 1:07:07illness. And so I was like, Oh my God,
- 1:07:10this is great. And it's I thought it said 50
- 1:07:13because I didn't have my glasses on.
- 1:07:14I was like, oh, I'm just going to use them, Mr. Moxie.
- 1:07:16And they're kind of new and it says it's 500MG CBDS and 20 THC.
- 1:07:26I am happy. I am very, very calm.
- 1:07:35I am very happy. I don't even think I really ate
- 1:07:37your cracker. So it can't be all that.
- 1:07:45It can't be all that upset, right?
- 1:07:47We just can't. That's the smile.
- 1:07:53This is not happening. I'm just listening.
- 1:07:58The only thing that I'm not doing that, you know, like a
- 1:08:02shrink would do is yeah, yeah, because I wasn't doing that, you
- 1:08:08know? Well, at least you're not like
- 1:08:10this. Oh, do you have Jay?
- 1:08:14I see. Now I'm going to write that
- 1:08:16down. Yeah, that's.
- 1:08:20What you're writing in there? Half the time they're drawing a
- 1:08:23picture, half the time of drawing a picture.
- 1:08:26They're right in their shopping list.
- 1:08:29Right. Keep talking, Just keep talking.
- 1:08:34Half it's an hour. Goodbye.
- 1:08:36See you later. OK, now I need to go shopping.
- 1:08:41My time's up. You talked for a whole hour.
- 1:08:43I can't even have nothing to say.
- 1:08:49I'm sorry. Should I be sorry, Joel?
- 1:08:54No. OK, he has a serious face on the
- 1:09:02age train. Serious face.
- 1:09:03He still wants to play with his little chat buddy.
- 1:09:06The eye. The eye chatter.
- 1:09:08TikTok. I think my joker's lonely at
- 1:09:11night and he can't speak. He decides to have a
- 1:09:14relationship with his GPT tat guy.
- 1:09:19That's the only one that can truly understand me.
- 1:09:21That's damn true shit. It decodes better than my wife
- 1:09:29does and the scary thing is is it gives me good responses.
- 1:09:39Yeah, but you gotta watch that because that's programmed by a
- 1:09:42human. You have to, you know, I love
- 1:09:45GPT because it really puts a lot of the words in perspective.
- 1:09:49But there's sometimes where you, you if you really read it for
- 1:09:52triggers, how somebody else will read it really depends on what
- 1:09:58AI human put that in there. Yeah, just be careful out there
- 1:10:03everybody, because there's sometimes where you can have it
- 1:10:07go, man, that sounds good. But we're not reading it as
- 1:10:10somebody else would be reading it, right.
- 1:10:12And then that becomes a big, a big trigger for some of those
- 1:10:15words, just like the 10 words that we try to take out
- 1:10:18vocabulary, you know? And I'd be like, you shouldn't
- 1:10:21me, shouldn't on me. I, you don't control me.
- 1:10:25That's a demand. So yeah, anyhow, that is my
- 1:10:31logic of thought today. Tracer, do you, did you have
- 1:10:36another, did you have another topic that you guys wanted to
- 1:10:40discuss or? Not really.
- 1:10:43I just, no, I just was kind of astounded and fascinated at the
- 1:10:48same time by the want to change veteran's day.
- 1:10:52I mean, it changed from Armistice Day to veteran's day.
- 1:10:55And so I wasn't sure why it needed to change back.
- 1:10:59You know, just because there's so many campaigns that we've had
- 1:11:03Grenada, the Haitian vacation, you know, Afghanistan, Iraq, and
- 1:11:07every time they need new funding for, for a war, they change the
- 1:11:10name. So are we going to then
- 1:11:12recognize Operation in Denver, Operation Endeavour and Enduring
- 1:11:18Freedom and all these others? I mean, are we going to keep
- 1:11:22going through the whole gamut of all the campaigns we've had and
- 1:11:26celebrate all of them? So that's why I'm like, no, just
- 1:11:30one day should work, right? And then just celebrate veterans
- 1:11:33by taking care of them. That's my take.
- 1:11:38Yeah, two more. Do more for first responders I
- 1:11:43don't think just got you. Oh my gosh, isn't that a key
- 1:11:47thing? OK, so check this out.
- 1:11:50OK, have you ever thought about this, and I'm not going to name
- 1:11:54anybody, but have you ever thought about this?
- 1:11:56Like there's a lot of nonprofits out there that are opening up
- 1:12:01the invitation to 1st responders along with military, OK, a lot
- 1:12:08of them out there, right? Every single event that I've
- 1:12:12went to so far, and I mean, I haven't been to a bunch, but
- 1:12:16I've been to like 3 or 4. Finding the first responder at
- 1:12:20one of those events is like finally coasting.
- 1:12:25It is so hard. I sometimes I feel that
- 1:12:30nonprofits are opening the invitation, but they're not,
- 1:12:36they're, you know, they're not grabbing like they say they're
- 1:12:41going to grab, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:42They're, they're, they're looking for military 1st instead
- 1:12:46of, OK, you know, maybe, you know, maybe look for it this
- 1:12:51week, maybe look for this week. I, I don't know, but I don't
- 1:12:55know, it kind of bothers me. What do you guys think?
- 1:12:59Well, I think it's about recruitment.
- 1:13:00It's it's where you're recruiting.
- 1:13:02I mean, you have to go to the cities.
- 1:13:03The cities are where all the first responders are, cities and
- 1:13:07counties, that's where they reside.
- 1:13:09So if you're not hitting the city and recruiting from the
- 1:13:11cities in your surrounding towns, you're not going to get
- 1:13:14the first responders. You've got to hit the social
- 1:13:16sites that they frequent. So if, if people really want
- 1:13:20first responders in their groups, they really have to then
- 1:13:23target their, their, their, speak their, their they're in
- 1:13:29engagement with those organizations.
- 1:13:32Because if they don't, they're not going to get them, you know,
- 1:13:35because for veterans, we hit all the sources we know that
- 1:13:39veterans are going to likely be at.
- 1:13:41And so our messaging is targeted at them.
- 1:13:43But if we want to target first responders, we have to target
- 1:13:46them where they live. And we're not.
- 1:13:50Yeah. Like our first responders up
- 1:13:52here, where, where I'm from, it's all volunteer.
- 1:13:56Every, every firefighter here is volunteer and they make money by
- 1:14:00having bingos or they have a bar or restaurant in them.
- 1:14:05And then people pay to be a member.
- 1:14:08Then you can help support by those or they'll have carnivals
- 1:14:10or they'll have events that they, they draw the money.
- 1:14:14And so imagine people having a full time 40 hour job, but also
- 1:14:19being a firefighter. So if that whistle, you hear
- 1:14:21that whistle going off these people in these other jobs, they
- 1:14:25honor that and they allow them to just leave work saying go,
- 1:14:29you're being you know, it is, it is an emergency and that's truly
- 1:14:33emergency. If your house on fire, you know,
- 1:14:35you need something. Now the ENT's and paramedics,
- 1:14:38those first responders there, those types, they I think that
- 1:14:42is a paid job here. But these volunteer for
- 1:14:45firefighters, God love them. They, and I know because Miami
- 1:14:49firefighters got paid a shit ton of money and just a firefighter
- 1:14:54down there and most of them had to go through the training in
- 1:14:56the school and the first responders.
- 1:14:58So they're EMT, paramedic, firefighter first response.
- 1:15:00They are all of the above. And I get that.
- 1:15:03And I also get that they get paid to just to do that.
- 1:15:06They also get paid well because they're living at the station
- 1:15:09for like what, two or three days at a time?
- 1:15:12Yeah, depending upon how they do their, they can't.
- 1:15:16Some do 48 and 96, so 48 on, 96 off.
- 1:15:20Some do every 3rd day. So it really depends on how
- 1:15:23they're staffed, you know, and if they're working two days on
- 1:15:27and three days off or just how you know how their their group
- 1:15:31does it. I'm just very, like I said, I'm
- 1:15:34very proud because an emergency happens in these little small
- 1:15:38towns up here and those firefighters are cognitive and
- 1:15:43consciously aware and they will, they will drop everything and
- 1:15:47go. That's their commitment.
- 1:15:48And that is just to me volunteering.
- 1:15:51That is just beautiful. So for me, when I see that one
- 1:15:54of them get hurt or injured on the job, it really hurts my
- 1:15:57heart. It hurts my heart back because
- 1:15:59they don't get paid for it. You know, veterans get paid for
- 1:16:02their services. People in the bigger cities as
- 1:16:04EMT are first responders get paid for their service.
- 1:16:07Little these little towns, you know, there's sometimes that I
- 1:16:10would rather just go and do fundraisers for them because
- 1:16:13they are service 1st and they do put themselves in a lot of
- 1:16:17danger in those buildings, especially if somebody says
- 1:16:19there's an animal or a person or something in there.
- 1:16:22They really they're they're, you know, their life on the line.
- 1:16:25So yeah, that's. True.
- 1:16:28Yeah. So from my heart, my heart to
- 1:16:30theirs, I appreciate you. For anybody who lives in a small
- 1:16:34town who has Volunteer Fire companies, thank you from the
- 1:16:36bottom of my heart because that is that is a total gift to heal
- 1:16:42and and support service to others there.
- 1:16:45Yeah, yeah. So yes, thanks for bringing that
- 1:16:49up. Absolutely, Joel.
- 1:16:51Thanks. Yeah, Joel, good go.
- 1:16:56But everything did you bring up? He's digging in his goodie
- 1:17:05basket. Veterans, be patient with other
- 1:17:11veterans because chances are the same thing that you want another
- 1:17:18veteran wants, but he doesn't know how to navigate it either.
- 1:17:23So instead of being upset, I'll look into it.
- 1:17:28You know, get the get get, you know, Recon it, you know Recon
- 1:17:34and then after you Recon it then you can come back and do a
- 1:17:39tutorial. You know, you don't have to have
- 1:17:43a podcast or be a part of a nonprofit to do good things for
- 1:17:49veterans to you know, the doing good, doing good thing for
- 1:17:56veterans starts with you. It doesn't matter if you know
- 1:18:01him or if you don't know him. Just talking to a veteran for 8
- 1:18:05minutes every day, you know, and not only does something for you,
- 1:18:10but it does something for them as well.
- 1:18:12So I encourage and remind everybody, you know, the next
- 1:18:16time, think about this, the next time you're out in public and
- 1:18:20you know, somebody's like walking around naked or
- 1:18:23something or making some kind of noise.
- 1:18:25You know, don't don't, you know, spray them with offer anything,
- 1:18:30you know, try to see if they, you know, need to talk to
- 1:18:34somebody or something, you know, step out of your step out of
- 1:18:40your bubble that I guess that's what I'm saying.
- 1:18:42And you know where to. You know when to step out your
- 1:18:46bubble and when not to. So it's kind of hard when
- 1:18:50they're native, when there's a skeeter on their Peter and you
- 1:18:52got to whack it off. I mean, Oh my gosh, this.
- 1:19:02Is. Awful.
- 1:19:03This is just awful, all right? MJ has to go because MJ is just
- 1:19:13awful tonight. What happens when you screw up
- 1:19:18your meds? I don't think you're awful.
- 1:19:23I think, I think, I think today's been a really good show.
- 1:19:28Look at. There, maybe I should screw up
- 1:19:31my my THC more often. Joel likes that about it.
- 1:19:42Not that I mind. You know it's Cinco de Mayo and
- 1:19:45I don't drink, so you. Know, I didn't even learn about
- 1:19:50Cinco de Mayo until I came to Colorado.
- 1:19:54We, we don't have Cinco de Mayo in Indiana.
- 1:19:59You know, it's like I, I didn't even know about it.
- 1:20:02Yeah, You got to be in a population where there's a lot
- 1:20:04of Latinos, especially from Texas.
- 1:20:07I'm sure Terry started down there in Texas.
- 1:20:11Florida is nuts that every bar you wait the the Cali Ochos and
- 1:20:17the Cinco de Mayos and it's it's it's a lot.
- 1:20:25And then you're like, and I honor your nationality.
- 1:20:27Can I just party with you? Can I just come with you?
- 1:20:30I don't know the language, but I'm just going to party with
- 1:20:32you. That's just.
- 1:20:34Like the Beats? That's right, I can dance.
- 1:20:38You know, you all drink your margaritas and I'll Just Dance.
- 1:20:46Well, Cinco de Mayo really isn't even celebrated in Mexico.
- 1:20:49It's mostly celebrated in the US.
- 1:20:52Yeah, and Saint Patrick's Day isn't celebrated in Ireland.
- 1:20:55It's only separated in the in the US.
- 1:20:58So what does that tell us? We got a lot of mentally ill son
- 1:21:01of a gun. That's.
- 1:21:01No, that just tells us we're in the mood for a party all the
- 1:21:04time. Right.
- 1:21:05We're honoring. Come on.
- 1:21:07We're honoring that nomination. We're honoring that that ethic
- 1:21:14we're honoring just like we honor cancer month and pride
- 1:21:18month and Veterans month and and Mother's Day is coming up so
- 1:21:22you. Know.
- 1:21:23Yeah, happy. Mother's Day, all Mother
- 1:21:25Mothers, what are we honoring them?
- 1:21:29Come. On.
- 1:21:31You guys, you guys go. Mother's Day is not this Sunday,
- 1:21:35is it? It is a Sunday, everybody.
- 1:21:39Yeah. Alert, Alert Get your gifts for
- 1:21:42Mom Alert Alert Get your gifts for.
- 1:21:44Mom, send her a text, send her an e-mail, Call her.
- 1:21:47Tell her Happy Mother's Day. Yeah.
- 1:21:49I got a week my mother went to my nephew's in Montana and then
- 1:21:53she's going to Denver. So look at that.
- 1:21:57I. Have we got a little time?
- 1:22:00But I have to go because when she gets home, she gets her
- 1:22:02tooth out. And I said, look at Happy
- 1:22:03Mother's Day. I'm here to take you to get your
- 1:22:05tooth out. She's like, thanks MJ, that's.
- 1:22:08Great. Love, you mean it.
- 1:22:14I I aim to be at your, you know, your beck and call.
- 1:22:19At your disposal. That's right.
- 1:22:21That's right. So yeah, it's Mother's Day.
- 1:22:23And then of course, you have Father's Day.
- 1:22:25You know, look at those two comers.
- 1:22:27Yeah, I know they get their own little their own little day too,
- 1:22:31so. Right in the row.
- 1:22:33Right. And then didn't wait, didn't we
- 1:22:37have something that the Biden administration added to our
- 1:22:40calendar? I can't remember what it was.
- 1:22:42Oh my gosh. I'm not sure.
- 1:22:46He added something he added, He added a a religional holiday,
- 1:22:54not a religious it's, it's an ethic.
- 1:22:57It's an ethic holiday or a stereotype.
- 1:23:00Are you are you talking about 19th?
- 1:23:03Oh yeah, Noonteenth or Juneteenth or.
- 1:23:06Juneteenth. Juneteenth.
- 1:23:09Oh, I was way off. But I don't think that was him,
- 1:23:12because I think that was done when Obama was still President
- 1:23:17Juneteenth. I mean, it's been a thing in
- 1:23:19Texas for a long time, but it wasn't a national holiday until
- 1:23:24just, what, 5-6 years ago at the most, Yeah.
- 1:23:29I don't know. I don't celebrate it.
- 1:23:30I don't celebrate. Sorry, Council, Could I delete?
- 1:23:35I don't know about it. I don't know about it then, but
- 1:23:38I do know about it, See. So I can't even say that.
- 1:23:40See, I'm just, I can't. That's when the slaves finally
- 1:23:43found out they were freed. Juneteenth.
- 1:23:46That's that's what that is. And they celebrate that here in
- 1:23:48Texas and have for a long time. But it wasn't nationalized
- 1:23:53until, you know, like five years ago.
- 1:23:57Yeah, see, I believe in that. But I still believe that Missus
- 1:24:00Butterworth was robbed from her title.
- 1:24:02And Aunt Jemima, those poor people, They got robbed just
- 1:24:06because somebody else didn't like it.
- 1:24:09Their families wanted it. They wanted the royalty.
- 1:24:12So why did they change it? They did something great.
- 1:24:15Yep. Yep.
- 1:24:20Yep, Yep, Yep. Anybody out there got anything?
- 1:24:30It is one of those days. It's been, really.
- 1:24:33The thing about TikTok is like, I mean, it's like a stalker
- 1:24:37waiting for the the white van down by the river.
- 1:24:40You know, they're just sitting there watching.
- 1:24:43They don't say anything. They just sit there and watch.
- 1:24:48Right, they're waiting. They.
- 1:24:49Don't give no gifts, Nothing. They just sit there.
- 1:24:52And watch. But that's nice.
- 1:24:54Thank you for watching, Yes. Thank you for watching. 2027 I
- 1:24:59mean, it just keeps on going up. So it is all good, but I truly
- 1:25:05think this is the end because MJ is really needing to go and you
- 1:25:10guys can continue but M JS quietly saying we either need to
- 1:25:16take a break or we need to go. All right.
- 1:25:20I think we can go. OK, it has been a pleasure
- 1:25:25honestly and I am super, super excited.
- 1:25:29And of course, for MBR to be just there for veterans to give
- 1:25:35them the voice. And 1st responders, even though
- 1:25:37you're not, you're not participating first responders,
- 1:25:39we'll get them. I hashtag them.
- 1:25:41So maybe we'll get some more in Joel for you in your station
- 1:25:44here. And Terry, it's always my
- 1:25:45pleasure. I love being with you and.
- 1:25:48I love being with you, too. Yeah.
- 1:25:50And I have a first responder coming up on my show, I think in
- 1:25:53June. I used to work with him and so
- 1:25:55he's coming up and he's a chief, so.
- 1:25:58See. Yeah.
- 1:26:00So he'll be able to talk to that side of the first responder
- 1:26:04issues and and how to navigate getting a hold of them and
- 1:26:07bringing them into the fold. So yeah, he's very well spoken
- 1:26:10and he's very smart and and he and he would definitely be a
- 1:26:14good conversationalist. So I'm excited to have him.
- 1:26:17And remember, everybody, September 20th, Buddy Bull flag
- 1:26:21football for charity is happening here in the Denver, Co
- 1:26:25area. So that means that if you're a
- 1:26:29first responder and you want to play or you want to support some
- 1:26:32way, it's a, it's a, it's a great opportunity to visit
- 1:26:37Colorado. Just saying, you know, So I, I,
- 1:26:41I think it's going to be a good time and we can get them
- 1:26:44involved as as well. So sounds.
- 1:26:48Good I. Just may come out and throw a
- 1:26:51pigskin with ya. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:26:55Put your little flags on these hips.
- 1:26:57Watch this Italian run down that field, baby.
- 1:27:05Yeah, she's one over the cuckoo's nest.
- 1:27:07There. It's all good.
- 1:27:10You're good. All right, my friends.
- 1:27:15We'll be back next week Monday at 7:00.
- 1:27:17This is beyond the headlines with H Train right below.
- 1:27:21We got my friend Terry here. And of course, I am MJ.
- 1:27:24We're here on MBR radio, MB radio, dot US.
- 1:27:27It's military broadcast radio where the veterans always have
- 1:27:29their voice, no matter if they're silly or not.
- 1:27:32Got it. We'll see Terry tomorrow night
- 1:27:37on her show at 8:00. Miss.
- 1:27:40PM Eastern, Yeah. There you go.
- 1:27:43So friends, family, thank you for watching, thank you for
