- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey friends, before we get started, this is a Girls
- 0:02Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark Rewind episode, which means you're about to hear
- 0:04Speaker 1: us revisit an episode we've already aired. Maybe the movie
- 0:08Speaker 1: is airing again, maybe we just loved this episode that much.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Either way, we think it's worth another listen.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Enjoy! Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark Review podcast.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I don't know what that was. I'm Megan. A chipper voice.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I'm a longtime Hallmark movie fan.
- 0:34Speaker 3: I'm Wendy. I'm your former Hallmark hater. It's genuine. I'm
- 0:38Speaker 3: in a really good mood. Yeah, we had a very nice,
- 0:41Speaker 3: exciting phone call we just got off of. We did.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And today, speaking of exciting, we're discussing Blind Date Book Club,
- 0:46Speaker 2: which originally aired on the Hallmark channel on Saturday, April 6th.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Hey, if you want to talk more about good stuff,
- 0:54Speaker 3: come jump into our Girls Gone Hallmark Facebook group. We're
- 0:58Speaker 3: inching near 700 very engaged members right now. And if
- 1:04Speaker 3: you want to talk about the movies, the actors, Hallmark News,
- 1:09Speaker 3: some of our favorites are dropping some cryptic messages on
- 1:13Speaker 3: their Instagram. And I know we're going to be talking
- 1:15Speaker 3: about it in the Facebook group. You know, the Facebook
- 1:18Speaker 3: group did break my heart a little bit this week.
- 1:20Speaker 2: So visit the Facebook group to find out why they
- 1:24Speaker 2: hurt me deeply.
- 1:25Speaker 3: All right. Let's hear a synopsis for Blind Date Book Club.
- 1:28Speaker 3: A Nantucket book shop owner known for matching others finds
- 1:33Speaker 3: connection with a best-selling author who visits her store. I
- 1:37Speaker 3: want to go to Nantucket. It was not Nantucket. I know.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I want to go to real Nantucket, not Canada Tucket.
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'm surprised that... Can-tucket. Van-tucket. Van-tucket. I'm surprised that Nantucket's
- 1:53Speaker 3: not on your... summer travel list it definitely is on
- 1:59Speaker 3: it's just hard to get to it's someplace i would
- 2:01Speaker 3: like to go nan tuck it nan freaking tuck it
- 2:05Speaker 3: let's talk news and notes.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Let's do it blind date book club was directed by
- 2:09Speaker 2: peter benson i love peter benson it makes me smile
- 2:12Speaker 2: knowing that he directed that he's a well-known actor he's
- 2:15Speaker 2: been seen in many hallmark films this is his 17th
- 2:17Speaker 2: directing credit He previously directed Hallmark faves like The Wedding
- 2:21Speaker 2: Veil Expectations, The Santa's Stakeout, and Sweet Carolina. His next
- 2:26Speaker 2: project is as Pat in the upcoming sequel.
- 2:29Speaker 3: To The Cases of Mystery Lane. I'm very excited to
- 2:34Speaker 3: see that come back. I'm looking forward to the sequel.
- 2:36Speaker 3: I really liked that first movie. Really liked it. Blind
- 2:41Speaker 3: Date Book Club was written by Nicole Baxter. Nicole has
- 2:44Speaker 3: 19 writing credits. Most look to be Hallmark films. A
- 2:48Speaker 3: couple previous favorites of ours are A Pinch of Portugal,
- 2:52Speaker 3: We Wish You a Married Christmas, and Presence of Love.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Erin Krakow plays bookshop owner Meg. Erin is probably best
- 3:00Speaker 3: known for her role as Elizabeth on When Calls the Heart.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Can't tell me Hallmark doesn't know what it's doing by
- 3:05Speaker 3: premiering an Erin Krakow movie the same weekend season 11
- 3:10Speaker 3: of When Calls the Heart premieres. The last.
- 3:13Speaker 2: movie we saw Erin in was The Wedding Cottage with
- 3:17Speaker 2: Brendan Penny. And let me just say, justice for Erin,
- 3:20Speaker 2: she hasn't been in a Countdown to Christmas movie in
- 3:22Speaker 2: six years.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Yeah, because before that was the It Was Always You
- 3:26Speaker 3: movie she was in.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm like, is she just really busy with When Calls
- 3:31Speaker 2: the Heart? But Kevin McGarry's all up in Countdown to Christmas.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I know. I wonder why she opts out. I don't
- 3:40Speaker 3: suspect that she's opting out. And we'll get to it,
- 3:43Speaker 3: but I find her absolutely delightful and need her in
- 3:46Speaker 3: a Christmas movie. Me too. Me freaking too. Robert Buckley
- 3:51Speaker 3: plays author Graham Sterling. Robert has 29 acting credits, including
- 3:56Speaker 3: 18 episodes of Chesapeake Shores, The Christmas House, and The
- 4:01Speaker 3: Christmas House 2, Deck Those Halls. Outside of Hallmark, Robert
- 4:04Speaker 3: has been a regular in series like iZombie, One Tree Hill,
- 4:09Speaker 3: and American Heiress, and the 2006 show called Fashion House,
- 4:14Speaker 3: which also starred Bo Derek and Morgan Fairchild. Is that
- 4:17Speaker 3: a show you're familiar with? I'm not, and he was
- 4:19Speaker 3: in a lot of freaking episodes. Interesting. Does Robert Buckley
- 4:24Speaker 3: sound like the name of a much older man to you?
- 4:26Speaker 3: Sounds like somebody who plays guitar in a southern rock band.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I think that's Jeff Buckley.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Yes, I'm having a hard time reconciling his name with
- 4:34Speaker 2: his face.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Also delightful. Faith Wright plays friend and co-worker Alice. She
- 4:40Speaker 3: has just 20 acting credits and has been seen in
- 4:43Speaker 3: shows like Riverdale, Nancy Drew, which I want to watch,
- 4:46Speaker 3: and So Help Me Todd, actually a very cute show.
- 4:49Speaker 3: For Hallmark, she's been in Three Wise Men and a Baby,
- 4:51Speaker 3: as well as A Godwink Christmas, Miracle of Love. Glynis
- 4:55Speaker 3: Davies plays Aunt Renee. She's got a healthy list of
- 4:58Speaker 3: acting credits, but her last Hallmark movie was from 2020
- 5:02Speaker 3: in a Picture Perfect Mysteries.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Hilary Jardine plays Grampsister Lizzie. We saw Hilary over the
- 5:09Speaker 2: weekend in One Bad Apple, a Hannah Swinson mystery.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Johanna Newmarch plays NRP. Not NRP. My note says NRP. NPR.
- 5:21Speaker 3: NPR reporter. Raina Johanna also appears on When Calls the
- 5:26Speaker 3: Heart as Molly. This movie was filmed in January and
- 5:30Speaker 3: February in Langley and Gibbons, British Columbia. According to Heavy.com,
- 5:35Speaker 3: production was hit with a snowstorm during filming and it
- 5:38Speaker 3: did appear quite cold as we could see their breath
- 5:40Speaker 3: in many, many scenes. Many, many scenes. And I was like,
- 5:42Speaker 3: they don't have gloves on. They're probably freezing out there. Right?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Like they have to dress like it's spring. Yeah. Did
- 5:50Speaker 3: you notice when they're like, oh, it's snowing. It never sticks. Yes.
- 5:55Speaker 2: It doesn't stick this time of year. Like what a
- 5:57Speaker 2: weird April snowstorm. What is your first impression of Blind
- 6:02Speaker 2: Date Book Club? Well, I know a lot of listeners
- 6:05Speaker 2: think it was always you. The Aaron Tyler Hines movie
- 6:09Speaker 2: is one of Hallmark's best. But I'd like to say,
- 6:12Speaker 2: Tyler who?
- 6:14Speaker 3: Move over. It was always you. Nice.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I agree with you. First impression over here, text flirting
- 6:22Speaker 2: might be my new favorite thing.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Text flirting? Text flirting? It was real cute. It was
- 6:27Speaker 3: super cute. The whole, like, send me that picture. The
- 6:31Speaker 3: one where I look awkward. Very cute. I liked how
- 6:35Speaker 3: they handled. The one where fate pushed us together. Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I mean, he's a writer. Yeah. I do like how
- 6:42Speaker 3: they handled the texting in this movie. I wish we
- 6:46Speaker 3: could see it bigger on the screen because grandma needs
- 6:49Speaker 3: to put her glasses on. Yeah. Zoom in, folks. But
- 6:52Speaker 3: thank you for reading it. Yes. I can hear it.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I can see what was written. Let's talk about what
- 6:59Speaker 3: you liked.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, top to bottom, the TLDL.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Too Long Didn't Listen. Too Long Didn't Listen? You know,
- 7:09Speaker 3: TLDR means Too Long Didn't Read. Yes. The TLDL is
- 7:12Speaker 3: a love to this movie. Me too. I thought it
- 7:14Speaker 3: was great. First of all, I think I.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Need to go back and watch some Aaron Krayko films
- 7:21Speaker 2: because I don't know... We don't watch When Calls the Heart.
- 7:25Speaker 2: She hasn't been in Countdown to Christmas. The Wedding Cottage,
- 7:28Speaker 2: she was ding-dang adorable, and we loved that movie.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yes. We loved that movie. Ding-ding. We sure did.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Gotta know your audience. I'm not a When Calls the
- 7:39Speaker 2: Heart person. I don't think I ever will be, but
- 7:42Speaker 2: it makes... bringing me over.
- 7:44Speaker 3: No, we're not doing 11 seasons. Sorry. No, I would never.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I'm not interested.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Honestly, of all of the fandoms in Hallmark, I think
- 7:51Speaker 2: the Hardys might be the most rabid and I am
- 7:54Speaker 2: afraid of them. So I just, I really enjoy her.
- 7:59Speaker 2: She's easily, I don't have a list, but she's in
- 8:02Speaker 2: the top. I just love her on Hallmark.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Outfits in this. Very simple. Very cute. I'm glad you mentioned.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I loved her laid-back style. Super cute wardrobe.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah, very casually professional, working in an island bookshop. Robert Buckley,
- 8:22Speaker 2: now you say, he's been in all these Chesapeake Shores.
- 8:26Speaker 3: We didn't watch that. I did watch most Christmas house movies.
- 8:29Speaker 3: He's a real wowie-zowie. A hundred percent. I need to
- 8:33Speaker 3: see how old he is, to be honest, because... There
- 8:36Speaker 3: was a line, they were talking about getting to know
- 8:40Speaker 3: each other and he's like, oh, I never got married.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And I was like, how old are you, sir? How
- 8:44Speaker 3: old are you supposed to be in this movie, sir?
- 8:46Speaker 3: Like 40? Oh, I see what you're saying. Like he's
- 8:50Speaker 3: of an age where he has to say like, no,
- 8:52Speaker 3: I've never been married. Yeah. Interesting. But I wondered how
- 8:56Speaker 3: old he was in real life. Any guesses? 35. Let
- 9:00Speaker 3: me look. I don't know. I don't know how old
- 9:04Speaker 3: anybody is. 42 years old. Yeah. Okay. He's your age.
- 9:09Speaker 3: I'm 44, friend. Oh, sorry. Go with 42.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I'm really curious, listeners. Do you lie about your age?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Because I never have, but I used to work with
- 9:20Speaker 2: someone whose wife lied about their age.
- 9:22Speaker 3: It was real awkward. Well, I think yesterday I told
- 9:25Speaker 3: you that I was going to start lying about my age.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I wasn't going to out you. I saw your face
- 9:30Speaker 2: when I started down that path. I wasn't going to
- 9:32Speaker 2: out you. I can't ever remember how old I am.
- 9:36Speaker 2: When I turned 44 this year, I was talking to
- 9:38Speaker 2: my dad and he goes, oh, 44?
- 9:40Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not 44. I'm 43. He goes, oh,
- 9:44Speaker 3: you're not. Oh, boy. So anyway. Do you think a
- 9:47Speaker 3: man who is 42 has to explain why he hasn't
- 9:50Speaker 3: been married? A man?
- 9:52Speaker 1: No.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I don't think so at all. No, I don't think
- 9:54Speaker 3: he has to explain why, but I do think you
- 9:56Speaker 3: hit 42 and you're having a conversation about your life.
- 9:59Speaker 3: I think it's... reasonable to say, no, I haven't been married. Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 3: like I haven't. found the one yet. But I don't think,
- 10:06Speaker 3: I don't think anybody should have to explain. No, I
- 10:08Speaker 3: don't think so either. For me, I really enjoyed this story.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Most of all, what I really liked was that like
- 10:17Speaker 3: Meg's whole personality wasn't, I'm single, like none of that. Right.
- 10:23Speaker 3: And she wasn't losing her business. And sure, there was
- 10:26Speaker 3: like a decision to be made about if she was
- 10:28Speaker 3: going to keep the business or sell the business. And
- 10:31Speaker 3: I feel like those are like very normal, relatable life
- 10:37Speaker 3: hiccups that come along. They're not like these catastrophes that
- 10:40Speaker 3: homework sometimes throws at us. Yes. Right? There was just
- 10:45Speaker 3: no unnecessary conflict in this movie. And I enjoyed that
- 10:50Speaker 3: very much. It just was like a nice, I don't
- 10:54Speaker 3: want to call it simple, but it was just a
- 10:57Speaker 3: nice movie. I agree with you. Here's something else I loved.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Early in the movie, Meg reads Graham's book and she
- 11:06Speaker 2: doesn't love it and he wants her to tell him why.
- 11:08Speaker 3: And she says that she doesn't feel like.
- 11:11Speaker 2: The romance in the book is earned. She doesn't believe it.
- 11:13Speaker 2: The character development wasn't there. And then they take this
- 11:16Speaker 2: movie and they make me believe in their romance. There's
- 11:21Speaker 2: nothing in– from the moment they meet, they're not instant.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It's not love at first sight, but they're not enemies.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 11:29Speaker 2: And it builds so beautifully in such a cute way
- 11:33Speaker 2: from him asking her out to dinner and surprising her with,
- 11:37Speaker 2: you know, he had set it up and walks her home.
- 11:40Speaker 3: There's just so many moments that make the romance at
- 11:44Speaker 3: the end earned, which isn't always the case. Right. So
- 11:47Speaker 3: I liked the parallelism there. Yes. Hey, I loved Sister Lizzie.
- 11:52Speaker 2: I think her off-screen appearance builds his character as this warm,
- 11:59Speaker 2: loving dude.
- 12:01Speaker 3: And when she says to the daughter, she's like, girls,
- 12:03Speaker 3: uncle Graham's going to tell us about a girl. Yeah.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Real cute. And when he sends her, like he knows
- 12:08Speaker 3: like she's having a rough busy. Yeah. He sends her breakfast. God,
- 12:12Speaker 3: I want a basket of muffins and coffee to appear
- 12:15Speaker 3: on my doorstep. I, while watching, I do have some siblings,
- 12:20Speaker 3: but we don't have relationships like that because our age difference. But, um,
- 12:26Speaker 3: I was like, that is something envious. Having a sibling
- 12:30Speaker 3: relationship where you're that close, where you talk to each
- 12:32Speaker 3: other and you confide in each other. And I thought
- 12:36Speaker 3: they portrayed it really well in this movie. Yeah, I
- 12:40Speaker 3: liked them. Two more things. Aaron and Robert together as
- 12:43Speaker 3: a couple, I thought, I don't want to be like, oh,
- 12:46Speaker 3: they had great chemistry. I just thought they worked really
- 12:48Speaker 3: well together. They had the banter, like everything was so
- 12:52Speaker 3: easy going, easy flowing with them. Yeah. And I guess, yes, chemistry.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Like I thought it was really nice. And I liked,
- 13:00Speaker 3: we had like a mid-movie kiss. My husband came in
- 13:03Speaker 3: and he's like, whoa, are you at the end of
- 13:04Speaker 3: the movie? And I'm like, no, this is like mid-movie here.
- 13:09Speaker 3: I told him I joked, I joked, Hallmark's making progressive moves.
- 13:13Speaker 3: And he's like, oh, for a mid-movie kiss? I'm like, dude,
- 13:16Speaker 3: you have no idea. And finally, I loved the writing
- 13:20Speaker 3: because there was a ton of current day vernacular in
- 13:23Speaker 3: this movie. I mean, he said goat, which I know
- 13:27Speaker 3: he had to explain, but it just was, I enjoyed it.
- 13:33Speaker 3: At one time, his agent, and I didn't get this
- 13:36Speaker 3: because his name is Graham, but his agent's like, yo, G.
- 13:39Speaker 3: And I was like. But they all, like even his
- 13:42Speaker 3: sister called him G a lot. I know. I know.
- 13:45Speaker 3: But I thought the agent was calling him like G,
- 13:47Speaker 3: like homie. Yeah. But then I realized quickly it wasn't
- 13:51Speaker 3: that way. What'd you wish for? I only have one wish. Okay.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And I don't want anyone to think this is a
- 14:07Speaker 3: knock on Erin Krakow. Uh-oh. I... And granted, I have
- 14:12Speaker 3: not seen a ton of her movies, and I don't
- 14:14Speaker 3: watch When Calls the Heart, but I feel like she
- 14:17Speaker 3: acts kind of like at a low vibration. Yeah, I
- 14:20Speaker 3: think that's why I like her. Okay, so... I feel
- 14:24Speaker 3: like maybe we are accustomed to like rapid fire dialogue
- 14:28Speaker 3: these days. We are from the school of Gilmore girls.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Like we are used to like that. And I, and
- 14:36Speaker 3: I was thinking about this and I thought, well, maybe
- 14:39Speaker 3: she's just acting at a normal rate, but I'm so
- 14:43Speaker 3: used to like, just being like not yelled at, but
- 14:47Speaker 3: you know, does it feel slow? It felt slow. It
- 14:50Speaker 3: lulled me to sleep on first watch. Yes. Um, It
- 14:55Speaker 3: felt slow, but I think it's normal. Yeah, it didn't
- 14:59Speaker 3: feel slow to me.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I definitely could have fallen asleep watching this movie, but
- 15:04Speaker 2: not because I was bored, but because I think these movies,
- 15:09Speaker 2: low vibration is a good description.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I think they exist at a low vibration. And as
- 15:15Speaker 3: a result, I think that's intentional. Like they want them
- 15:22Speaker 3: to be soothing comfort watches cozy i think there's something
- 15:28Speaker 3: to that all right here's what i wish for yes
- 15:31Speaker 3: i need bookstore bestie alice to have her baby oh
- 15:34Speaker 3: yeah right we need a sequel well and lizzie too
- 15:38Speaker 3: so that's what i wrote are we getting a sequel
- 15:40Speaker 3: i hope so Because does Graham move to... Two babies
- 15:43Speaker 3: and a bookstore. Two babies and a bookstore. Sure. Why
- 15:46Speaker 3: can't Graham? Graham can write from Nantucket. Heck yeah. And
- 15:49Speaker 3: that's going to be how she saves her bookshop from
- 15:51Speaker 3: the slow months is by having author visits. And he's
- 15:53Speaker 3: going to bring his author buddies in to do a...
- 15:56Speaker 3: Who doesn't want to come to Nantucket? Look, I love
- 15:59Speaker 3: the idea of this wrapped book. I saw this years
- 16:02Speaker 3: ago at Barnes & Noble. It's pretty common now. It's
- 16:06Speaker 3: so fun. It's such a fun way to... Get readers excited,
- 16:13Speaker 3: I think. I love it. I just love it. I
- 16:15Speaker 3: do too, but I hate the name of it. I
- 16:16Speaker 3: hate blind date with the book. Makes sense. And then
- 16:19Speaker 3: you've got your blind date book club. Mm-hmm. That makes sense.
- 16:25Speaker 3: But at the end, like the fact that there's also
- 16:29Speaker 3: all these people that are meeting as a result of
- 16:31Speaker 3: the book club aren't on blind dates. Mm-hmm. And Raina
- 16:34Speaker 3: was trying to make that happen. Yeah. And I was like, no,
- 16:37Speaker 3: it doesn't make sense.
- 16:38Speaker 2: It's fine that you're making connections.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Sell it that way. Like that couple met.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Because of their shared connection over the book. And obviously
- 16:44Speaker 2: Meg and Graham connect as a result of the book club.
- 16:47Speaker 2: But those aren't blind dates. I just wanted to clarify that.
- 16:50Speaker 3: It bothered me. But I like the idea of a
- 16:53Speaker 3: blind date book club. Not only do you have these books,
- 16:57Speaker 3: but they're with a purpose. People are going to come back.
- 16:59Speaker 3: That's so smart. Bring them back in. I know. And
- 17:01Speaker 3: then it gets them coming back for those blind date books. Yes.
- 17:04Speaker 3: That's smart marketing. That's another thing that I didn't put
- 17:07Speaker 3: in my notes, but everything made sense. A lot of
- 17:10Speaker 3: times we see events and business practices in these movies.
- 17:15Speaker 3: You're like, that doesn't make sense. This made sense. The
- 17:17Speaker 3: bank chili cook-off in a New Year's resolution. Exactly.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Um, finally, just a little thought. I think Graham did
- 17:27Speaker 2: not need to lie to Meg about who he was
- 17:30Speaker 2: to get her to read his book because she's all
- 17:34Speaker 2: in on, he heard her interview. She doesn't care about
- 17:38Speaker 2: the shelvability of a book. She wants to like a
- 17:41Speaker 2: book on its own merits. I think he could have said,
- 17:44Speaker 2: that's me, but I'm trying something new and I can't
- 17:47Speaker 2: get anybody to.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Buy in on it. Will you read this? Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I think she'd be all in on that. Now, she
- 17:52Speaker 3: hated it, nevertheless. But would she tell an established, well-liked author, yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 3: I didn't like that. Yeah, maybe not. I would be
- 18:05Speaker 3: intimidated to do that.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Well, and particularly given the benefit he can bring her
- 18:09Speaker 2: bookstore as an established, well-liked author as opposed to an
- 18:12Speaker 2: aspiring writer.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Do you have a did you see that moment to share?
- 18:17Speaker 3: I do. Okay. Okay. Alice, who works in the bookstore,
- 18:20Speaker 3: her name is Alice Waters. Now, there is a real-life
- 18:24Speaker 3: Alice Waters who is an American restaurateur, chef, and activist.
- 18:29Speaker 3: And I thought, that's an interesting choice. And was it
- 18:33Speaker 3: made on purpose? Or is it just a play on
- 18:37Speaker 3: how much, like, they're on the water? I don't know.
- 18:42Speaker 3: But Alice Waters isn't, like— Is a real person? She's
- 18:44Speaker 3: not a nobody. Like, she's a James Beard. award winning chef.
- 18:48Speaker 3: So I just, I have a cookbook of hers actually.
- 18:52Speaker 3: So I just thought it was interesting. It is interesting.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Here's my did you see that? It's a funny moment.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Meg's aunt comes to visit and she says, can we
- 19:01Speaker 3: find somewhere more private to talk? And the editing is
- 19:05Speaker 3: really funny there because they cut to a B roll
- 19:07Speaker 3: shot of the Harbor, but the focal point of that
- 19:10Speaker 3: shot is a boat sitting all alone in the middle
- 19:12Speaker 3: of the Harbor. So she says, Can we find somewhere
- 19:15Speaker 3: more private to talk? The next scene is a boat
- 19:17Speaker 3: sitting all by itself in the middle of the harbor.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It's almost like you expected them to be on that tugboat.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Of course. They're not. They're walking along the water. I
- 19:25Speaker 3: thought it was funny editing.
- 19:26Speaker 2: And I don't know that it was intentional. It's almost
- 19:29Speaker 2: just like, here's an establishing harbor shot and they're going
- 19:32Speaker 2: to be walking here. But in my mind, I was like,
- 19:34Speaker 2: ha ha, they're.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Going to be in the tugboat. That's all. Would you
- 19:37Speaker 3: rate this movie? Four and a half stars. Me too.
- 19:39Speaker 3: So good. I really enjoyed it.
