- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Italy and Tanya Rad and iHeartRadio and
- 0:04Speaker 1: two time People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in. You heard that right,
- 0:16Speaker 2: Tanya Rad is back from Italy. She's tan.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Oh oh, oh we're good.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Oh she's tan. I am. She's a tan line, an
- 0:32Speaker 2: actual natural tama that.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Is not fake tan, that is real sun kiss. Wow,
- 0:39Speaker 3: thank you. I don't think I've had a real tam
- 0:41Speaker 3: line since I was like fifteen. Welcome back, Thank you
- 0:46Speaker 3: so much. Happy to be.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I feel like you're a college era self would have
- 0:49Speaker 2: had some tan line. She was pretty wild and reckless,
- 0:52Speaker 2: she was. She was in the tanning bed. Yeah right, yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 2: quite often. You had a playboy bunny little.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yes, I have the little hearts on my crotch area.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah, gry days. Someone someone might say, how are you
- 1:04Speaker 2: feeling well? Are you jetlagged?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah? I feel like absolute garbage right now. Okay, but
- 1:09Speaker 3: we're here, we're scrubbing and we're living.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Honestly, but I was gonna say, it felt so good
- 1:16Speaker 2: to see you living.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I don't even think I realized like how dark of
- 1:24Speaker 3: a place I was in until I was like on
- 1:26Speaker 3: a vacation. Yeah, I'm gonna like cry.
- 1:28Speaker 2: No, I feel you need a release because it really
- 1:32Speaker 2: you could. I felt it through the screen on my phone. Really. Yes.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think I realized it until I was
- 1:39Speaker 3: like there, and I'm just so happy and so thankful
- 1:43Speaker 3: that we like went and we did it and we
- 1:46Speaker 3: like did it and made it happen.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Well, because like a week before you were leaving, you
- 1:51Speaker 2: didn't even know where you were going.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Because I also, like I had I just it's so
- 1:56Speaker 3: hard to plan because I hadn't gotten my period, and
- 1:58Speaker 3: I just I didn't know. And then I got my
- 2:00Speaker 3: period and I was like literally, when I tell you,
- 2:03Speaker 3: I was on so much progesterone that I was like
- 2:07Speaker 3: psychotic between my birthday and and then before I left
- 2:10Speaker 3: for this trip, like I was so dark, and we
- 2:14Speaker 3: were just like let's go. We literally planned in four days.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Shout out to Cinemascal because we booked. I don't even
- 2:26Speaker 3: know how we did it, but we did. And it
- 2:30Speaker 3: was honestly, I want to say, it was like life changing.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Like I feel like I'm a different person now than
- 2:35Speaker 3: I was like ten days ago.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it looked amazing. Yeah, Well what where Okay? For
- 2:40Speaker 2: where did you go?
- 2:41Speaker 3: So we went to Capri cap not Capri, It's Kapi.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Okay, we can I think we're just dumb Americans again.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I say Capri, but and we say
- 2:52Speaker 3: there the whole time. And we had seven days. So
- 2:56Speaker 3: we left on a Saturday, came back on a Saturday,
- 2:59Speaker 3: and we I ate croissants for breakfasts, I ate pasta
- 3:04Speaker 3: for lunch, I ate pizza for dinner. I had gelato
- 3:09Speaker 3: for dessert. I drank spritzes every day all day. I
- 3:13Speaker 3: was just like living.
- 3:16Speaker 2: See to me, that's tender Tanya.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Doing all that.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Yeah, really yeah, because you're just eating and doing what
- 3:25Speaker 2: you want. You're not overthinking anything.
- 3:26Speaker 3: No, But that's what I don't think I realized is like,
- 3:29Speaker 3: for the last at least twelve maybe eleven months, I
- 3:34Speaker 3: have been so focused on everything that I eat, keeping
- 3:38Speaker 3: my feet warm, taking my pills, eating specifically for like
- 3:41Speaker 3: the two week wait, counting my this, counting my that.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Like I've been so preoccupied with all of it that
- 3:50Speaker 3: I just haven't really been like living my life in
- 3:53Speaker 3: the present, which is likes so crazy, right, But also
- 3:56Speaker 3: I don't regret doing that because I'm like it's something
- 4:00Speaker 3: that I want so much, So why wouldn't I give
- 4:01Speaker 3: it my own? And like, hm hmm, that's just the
- 4:03Speaker 3: type of person that I am. But I think what
- 4:05Speaker 3: I realized being like on vacation and just like taking
- 4:08Speaker 3: a step back from it is I feel like these
- 4:10Speaker 3: two things can exist at the same time. Like I
- 4:12Speaker 3: can still want something really bad and try the best
- 4:15Speaker 3: that I can, but also still like live my life
- 4:17Speaker 3: and be in the present.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that I haven't been right. Yeah,
- 4:24Speaker 2: Well I'm glad. I mean, I'm glad this trip gave
- 4:27Speaker 2: you that perspective. Yeah, because it's I think it's easy
- 4:31Speaker 2: to see someone it's hard to realize it when you're
- 4:35Speaker 2: in it, but as your friend watching, you know, I
- 4:39Speaker 2: could tell I was like she needed this just like release, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 2: of not having to overthink everything she was doing and
- 4:46Speaker 2: just being able to go and be.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Like if I wasn't in the like I would
- 4:51Speaker 3: have been so stressed out about my circadian rhythm being
- 4:53Speaker 3: like off and like do you know what I mean,
- 4:56Speaker 3: Like every little thing it's it's it's so it's such
- 5:01Speaker 3: a mental like it really truly is, because it's like
- 5:04Speaker 3: you're living your life, but you're so preoccupied with something
- 5:06Speaker 3: else going on in the background and you don't realize
- 5:08Speaker 3: it until it just like smacks you in the face.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So what y'all do aside from eating carbs?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we played a lot of cards. I swam every
- 5:21Speaker 3: single day, Like I swam like a mermaid, Like I
- 5:24Speaker 3: was like one with the sea. Yeah, And we played
- 5:28Speaker 3: cards every day. We walked around a ton. We we
- 5:32Speaker 3: did like a boat day so we could just like
- 5:33Speaker 3: go and explore and like see things.
- 5:35Speaker 2: What was your favorite thing that y'all did.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I feel like the food. I just feel like the
- 5:43Speaker 3: food was like so nice and just like the quality
- 5:45Speaker 3: time too, you know what I mean, Like it was
- 5:47Speaker 3: just us. I felt like we haven't been that care
- 5:50Speaker 3: free and like I don't know, I just I feel
- 5:53Speaker 3: like I'm also just like more in love with him too.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Like I had some deep conversations with him over the trip.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I was like, I think if he wasn't my partner,
- 6:00Speaker 3: I think I could have gone on like a really
- 6:02Speaker 3: really deep dark path after January. Yeah, And I feel
- 6:06Speaker 3: like because he is the way that he is like
- 6:09Speaker 3: made me not go down that dark path. And I'm
- 6:11Speaker 3: just like so grateful to have a partner that like
- 6:14Speaker 3: has a happy go lucky spirit about him, because I
- 6:18Speaker 3: think if he was like me, it would have been
- 6:20Speaker 3: really bad for me.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I think it's a true testament of who you
- 6:25Speaker 2: choose as your partner, who you go through. I mean
- 6:29Speaker 2: this is the you know, in sickness and in health,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and not that you're sick, but I'm saying, like, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 2: the hard times, the highs, the lows, all the things.
- 6:37Speaker 2: How the person that you're choosing is going to show
- 6:40Speaker 2: up for you.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah. But it was like so cute. We met this
- 6:45Speaker 3: couple out to dinner that they'd been married for like
- 6:49Speaker 3: forty plus years and her husband had two boys when
- 6:54Speaker 3: they got married of six boys total.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Now, oh my god.
- 6:58Speaker 3: We like went through and got like their whole history
- 7:00Speaker 3: and their whole story, and like I changed phone numbers
- 7:03Speaker 3: with her and she's like coming to l A in
- 7:05Speaker 3: a couple of months.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Where were they from?
- 7:07Speaker 3: New York? Oh?
- 7:08Speaker 2: Fun?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah, And like we just like met a lot of
- 7:10Speaker 3: like really interesting, fun people and yeah, it.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Was just did Robbie like having someone cook for him?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Did you get to enjoy just like eating food?
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah? It was cute because he's like, I'll learn how
- 7:22Speaker 3: to make that I make that for you when we
- 7:24Speaker 3: get home, Like okay, but.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I know, I feel like I'm we're gonna see a
- 7:27Speaker 2: lot of Italy inspired dishes coming up. Ye yeah, yeah, no,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I'm I'm just so happy I'll got to go and
- 7:35Speaker 2: have a trip like that and just you know.
- 7:39Speaker 3: V D and I think, like I'm such like a
- 7:44Speaker 3: like in my mind, I was like, let's just do
- 7:46Speaker 3: something that's super easy, one quick flight, something easy that
- 7:50Speaker 3: we know, and Robbie was like, no, like let's like
- 7:53Speaker 3: do it. Let's really like do it. And I'm so
- 7:55Speaker 3: glad that he pushed me to do it because even
- 7:57Speaker 3: though it was a treck, like we figured out how
- 8:01Speaker 3: to like do it all on our points and like
- 8:03Speaker 3: I don't know, like we we just did it. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'm so glad.
- 8:06Speaker 2: That we did. Yeah. So that's like a lesson.
- 8:10Speaker 3: It is a lesson.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Well, there's times where sometimes doing something that's comfortable is
- 8:15Speaker 2: maybe the best choice if you don't have capacity. But
- 8:17Speaker 2: it's like you won't regret doing something. I mean, especially
- 8:22Speaker 2: when it involves Italy, you won't regret it.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I've never been I've never been to Italy. This is
- 8:27Speaker 3: like my first time and so.
- 8:28Speaker 2: It's never been I've been to Italy like in the winter.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I've never been in the summer. It looked amazing.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's just chal it's like just so and everybody's like
- 8:36Speaker 3: so kind.
- 8:40Speaker 2: So where are you at now? Coming back?
- 8:43Speaker 3: Well, I definitely feel like weird. I just feel like
- 8:47Speaker 3: jet lagged and like luki yah. Yeah, but I feel
- 8:51Speaker 3: like I need to just live my life a little
- 8:53Speaker 3: bit more. So I'm gonna try and like meet in
- 8:56Speaker 3: the middle.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is there a world where you're just
- 9:01Speaker 2: living and having sex with your husband and not overthinking
- 9:06Speaker 2: about it?
- 9:08Speaker 3: You know. It's just like something that society does as
- 9:11Speaker 3: a woman as you get older. They just like make
- 9:13Speaker 3: you feel like you're running out of time and they
- 9:15Speaker 3: just like show you these statistics and so like me,
- 9:18Speaker 3: I'm such like a person that takes on those statistics
- 9:21Speaker 3: that I like really truly like I hold on to
- 9:25Speaker 3: them and and so it's like it's this fear based thing,
- 9:30Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And so I'm like, well,
- 9:31Speaker 3: I don't want to regret not doing all the things.
- 9:36Speaker 3: You know. It's just like this weird balance.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I think there's so much information out there and
- 9:42Speaker 2: I always go back to like our parents and how
- 9:45Speaker 2: there was none of this information. It was very just
- 9:47Speaker 2: you had sex when you thought you were gonna have sex,
- 9:51Speaker 2: and then you'd get pregnant and they were smoking SIGs
- 9:54Speaker 2: doing all the things, you know. And I think now,
- 9:56Speaker 2: especially with social media, you're inundated with so much information
- 10:01Speaker 2: and if you're someone like you who like read something
- 10:03Speaker 2: and then that's facts to you.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Oh, that's really hard to you can't even I don't
- 10:08Speaker 3: even want you to know how many times how many
- 10:10Speaker 3: Instagram things I've sent Robbie about like things that he
- 10:13Speaker 3: should be eating, and like he's like, if you send
- 10:15Speaker 3: me one more Instagram post about uh, not putting a
- 10:18Speaker 3: laptop on my lap, I'll freak out.
- 10:22Speaker 2: He's like, I know, Like, Okay, God bless that man. Truly. Yeah,
- 10:29Speaker 2: we Ali came in and filled in for you while
- 10:32Speaker 2: you were gone, and we had a really good conversation
- 10:34Speaker 2: about her journey of getting pregnant and pregnancy and then
- 10:38Speaker 2: you know, postpartum and all that. And it was the
- 10:41Speaker 2: same kind of thing of her postpartum journey was there
- 10:44Speaker 2: was a lot of trying to have control over something
- 10:47Speaker 2: and like making sure she was doing everything right, and
- 10:50Speaker 2: that was kind of part of the spiral. And so
- 10:53Speaker 2: I think it is kind of being able to separate
- 10:56Speaker 2: social media and not getting obsessive about seeing those things
- 11:00Speaker 2: and not taking them in.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're like, you see these things, so you're like,
- 11:03Speaker 3: why would I not want to give myself the best odds?
- 11:06Speaker 2: But every chance so different? Like to think about the
- 11:09Speaker 2: different bodies and how all of our bodies work so differently,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and how some people can process gluten and some people
- 11:15Speaker 2: can some people can have dairy.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I have friends that are thirty eight and got pregnant
- 11:18Speaker 3: right away, you know, and like they say it like
- 11:21Speaker 3: after thirty five, it really goes down, and like you
- 11:24Speaker 3: know what I mean, I take all that stuff and
- 11:25Speaker 3: I really like take it in right. But the other
- 11:27Speaker 3: thing that I've also like learned so much throughout this
- 11:29Speaker 3: process is like your brain and your ovaries are like
- 11:33Speaker 3: in direct communication. Yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I mean they say if you're stressed or you're not
- 11:38Speaker 2: your bodies your body's not gonna want to house yeah
- 11:41Speaker 2: and grow a child when it's in a state of
- 11:44Speaker 2: fight or flight.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 2: So maybe it's like getting the brick and just not
- 11:49Speaker 2: doom scrolling, separating yourself from seeing too much information yeah, tough.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Did you say off social media when you were like,
- 11:59Speaker 2: did you find your self not on as much?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yeah? I wasn't on. I was posting a lot, but
- 12:03Speaker 3: I wasn't like engaging and scrolling. Yeah no, and it
- 12:06Speaker 3: wasn't really scrolling.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I do think it makes a difference.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Yeah, so your mindset, it does, because my mindset was
- 12:13Speaker 3: on fuego yeah week.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but you got to keep that energy.
- 12:17Speaker 3: You gotta keep that cup pri cupri entered.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Hop pre hot, pretty hop pretty energy.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I do have in la I do.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I know. So I'm proud of you for going and
- 12:29Speaker 2: doing something new and letting yourself just live your life.
- 12:33Speaker 3: And on our way home, we had these two girls
- 12:36Speaker 3: on our flight that were like big fans of my book,
- 12:39Speaker 3: which is something I don't get every most often, and
- 12:43Speaker 3: it was so crazy because it was such a reminder.
- 12:46Speaker 3: She's in her late thirties and she's like, I always like,
- 12:48Speaker 3: I read your book and it makes me like realize,
- 12:50Speaker 3: like it's coming for me. You have this amazing man.
- 12:52Speaker 3: She like met Robbie and she's like the sunshine mine,
- 12:56Speaker 3: the sunshine mine, And I was like, I have let
- 12:58Speaker 3: that sunshine mind.
- 12:59Speaker 2: She's been behind some clouds.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, she been cloudy. She has been cloudy, And it
- 13:05Speaker 3: was almost like this really refreshing way to like end
- 13:08Speaker 3: our trip with like that reminder. Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:10Speaker 2: I was like, oh yeah, I literally felt like seeing
- 13:14Speaker 2: your post the one it was like some things that
- 13:16Speaker 2: made me happy or something. I felt like joy for me,
- 13:18Speaker 2: which you're very like you're demean you're very sunshiny, but
- 13:22Speaker 2: there you have been more like down and like over,
- 13:27Speaker 2: you know, thinking so much about this journey, and so
- 13:29Speaker 2: it was so great to even see that through photos
- 13:32Speaker 2: of just like that spirit, your spirit, you know, and
- 13:36Speaker 2: even though there's clouds, the sun always comes through.
- 13:39Speaker 3: It does.
- 13:39Speaker 2: So I'm glad you had that reminder.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I did. You also had some travels.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I was in some sun as well, which we could
- 13:48Speaker 2: talk about when we come back. What a free we're
- 14:07Speaker 2: back back. Yeah, So I also went to some sunshine.
- 14:12Speaker 2: This last week I went to surprise Jojo and she
- 14:18Speaker 2: lives in Puerto Rico, and I was going to go
- 14:20Speaker 2: the week before that. I went, and then basically what
- 14:25Speaker 2: happened is I have been wanting obviously to meet romy
- 14:28Speaker 2: and see Jojo and Jordan, and it just with schedules
- 14:33Speaker 2: and timing, and also I have to get on two
- 14:35Speaker 2: flights to get to her, so I think wanting to
- 14:37Speaker 2: make sure she was ready felt good about me coming
- 14:40Speaker 2: to see the baby, was waiting for that, and then
- 14:43Speaker 2: we had some things scheduled that scheduling conflicts happened. So
- 14:46Speaker 2: I finally just texted Jordan and I was like, I
- 14:48Speaker 2: want to come see Jojo and meet the baby. Can
- 14:50Speaker 2: you help me with the scheduling? I want a surprise her.
- 14:53Speaker 2: So he told me some dates that worked, and then
- 14:57Speaker 2: the dates that we had, which was the week before,
- 14:59Speaker 2: ended up falling through. So I moved my flight. I
- 15:01Speaker 2: was just like, please, somehow, let this day a surprise.
- 15:05Speaker 2: So I kept checking in with him, and I moved
- 15:07Speaker 2: our conversation to Instagram because I was like, if she
- 15:09Speaker 2: sees my name pop up on his phone show we
- 15:12Speaker 2: don't talk. So she'd be like, why is Beckat texting you?
- 15:16Speaker 2: And so he would check in and he'd be like
- 15:18Speaker 2: are you all good still? And I'm like, yeah, we
- 15:20Speaker 2: are you good over there? And so I flew. I
- 15:23Speaker 2: left at like six am on Tuesday, and I got
- 15:28Speaker 2: there I think at like seven thirty pm that same night,
- 15:32Speaker 2: and it was so fun because my uber pulled up
- 15:35Speaker 2: and the dog started barking, and so I was trying
- 15:37Speaker 2: to tell him, like keep going past the house because
- 15:39Speaker 2: I'm trying to surprise her, and there was kind of
- 15:42Speaker 2: a language barrier, so I was like trying to tell
- 15:44Speaker 2: him like with hand motions, and so he goes oh.
- 15:47Speaker 2: So I was like, I'm surprising her, and he goes, oh, surprise.
- 15:51Speaker 2: So then he pulled forward and then I brought my
- 15:53Speaker 2: bags up and Jordan came and got me from around
- 15:56Speaker 2: the side and he was like, she's putting Romie down.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And I was like, oh no, because I didn't want
- 16:01Speaker 2: her to be upset. You know, she she doesn't Romy
- 16:04Speaker 2: doesn't know me, so I didn't want to wake her up,
- 16:07Speaker 2: you know. So I walk in and I filmed this
- 16:11Speaker 2: it's on Instagram. But I opened the door and I
- 16:13Speaker 2: was like, did you need help putting the baby down?
- 16:16Speaker 2: So cute, so surprised, and Romy was just didn't cry
- 16:20Speaker 2: at all, just was like looking back and forth, like mom,
- 16:22Speaker 2: this is this. And so we pulled off this surprise
- 16:25Speaker 2: and Jordan was so great, like he helped make it happen,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and it was fun not having Jojo have to plan
- 16:33Speaker 2: something because I feel like when you're in postpartum and
- 16:36Speaker 2: you have a baby, the last thing you want to
- 16:38Speaker 2: do is try to like plan logistics to host someone
- 16:41Speaker 2: to come in. So I was really grateful that he
- 16:43Speaker 2: helped me and we just had the best time there.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Where they live is so beautiful and it literally looks
- 16:50Speaker 2: like Paradise, Paradise every day.
- 16:52Speaker 3: It's parently to take my newborn baby to this like
- 16:54Speaker 3: gorgeous beach and let her hear the sounds of the
- 16:57Speaker 3: waves crashing and paradise.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I got to go to the beach with them in
- 17:01Speaker 2: the morning and we got our coffees and Romi was
- 17:04Speaker 2: just so sweet and so cute and took to me immediately,
- 17:08Speaker 2: like I didn't have to warm her up. She just
- 17:10Speaker 2: is so easy going and sweet. And we would go
- 17:15Speaker 2: to the beach. I got to spend and it was
- 17:17Speaker 2: fun to just be there while Jojo was doing her routine.
- 17:19Speaker 2: You know I didn't. I kept telling her, I don't
- 17:21Speaker 2: need you to entertain me, like I'm just I want
- 17:24Speaker 2: to help. I want to spend time with y'all, but
- 17:27Speaker 2: I also don't want to mess up what.
- 17:29Speaker 3: You always wake up when they woke up.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I woke up early and which is three hours ahead,
- 17:35Speaker 2: so it was basically like being New York time. But
- 17:37Speaker 2: I was going to bed early too. Hailey was like,
- 17:39Speaker 2: we could never do this this kind of long distance
- 17:42Speaker 2: because it's we would just never talk because she would
- 17:44Speaker 2: be asleep when I woke up, and then by the
- 17:47Speaker 2: time I was going to bed, it would be early
- 17:49Speaker 2: for her. So it's just kind of that awkward kind
- 17:51Speaker 2: of time. But it was just so perfect and it
- 17:56Speaker 2: was so great to see Jojo and like, and she's
- 17:59Speaker 2: it felt so natural, like I didn't feel, you know,
- 18:02Speaker 2: it's such a huge life change having a baby, but
- 18:05Speaker 2: she stepped in. It felt so like, oh, this was
- 18:08Speaker 2: all with ROMI was always here, like Jojo was always
- 18:10Speaker 2: a mom. Really, yeah, It's so it's so cool to
- 18:14Speaker 2: see and I just it's really fun, like being in
- 18:17Speaker 2: the season of life. And I was just thinking about
- 18:21Speaker 2: like how we met on The Bachelor and how we've
- 18:24Speaker 2: been through so many different seasons of life together and
- 18:27Speaker 2: it was just really special getting to be there. And
- 18:29Speaker 2: then I came home and the next day was Britney's
- 18:33Speaker 2: baby cashs from first birthday, so we headed over to
- 18:37Speaker 2: that party. So it's just babies. Yeah, yeah, just lots
- 18:42Speaker 2: of babies, lots of babies, and yeah, it was a
- 18:46Speaker 2: really good trip and made me realize, like taking the
- 18:49Speaker 2: effort to like show up.
- 18:51Speaker 3: For people, you know, I know it probably meant so
- 18:54Speaker 3: you don't. I don't even think you'll even know how
- 18:56Speaker 3: much it meant to her.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Well, I just think that I I've been seeing a
- 19:01Speaker 2: lot of things, I think for a lot of my life,
- 19:02Speaker 2: and I I can be very selfish with my time
- 19:05Speaker 2: and stuff. But for a long time I would commit
- 19:09Speaker 2: to things and then I would either just be like,
- 19:10Speaker 2: oh I don't want to go, and then I'd cancel.
- 19:12Speaker 2: And I had this moment at some point where I
- 19:15Speaker 2: was like why when? And I I have so much
- 19:18Speaker 2: capacity and time to show up for people, the people
- 19:21Speaker 2: that have shown up for me and that I love
- 19:22Speaker 2: so much? Why want and I show up for them?
- 19:24Speaker 2: You know? And so I think in this time of
- 19:27Speaker 2: my life, I'm just like really trying to be a
- 19:29Speaker 2: good friend and like show up for people, whether it's
- 19:32Speaker 2: emotionally or physically, you know. And it sucks having a
- 19:36Speaker 2: friend that lives so far away, but it was the
- 19:38Speaker 2: best friend. I love you? Why broke this is? Progesies
- 19:46Speaker 2: are just emotions.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 19:50Speaker 2: You're Jeli.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Yeah, this is the Geedli. This is totally the Jeli.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I'm off all the.
- 19:57Speaker 1: No.
- 19:58Speaker 2: I just I think I saw this thing that was like,
- 20:01Speaker 2: if you want to have a village, you have to
- 20:03Speaker 2: be a villager and you can't expect people to show
- 20:07Speaker 2: up when when you're needing people to show up without
- 20:10Speaker 2: showing up for them. And I think it even if
- 20:12Speaker 2: they don't ask, you know, JoJo's never JoJo's so independent.
- 20:16Speaker 2: She's we talk on the phone or you know, here
- 20:18Speaker 2: and there where we catch She's never sent.
- 20:19Speaker 3: You text messages like I miss you? Do you miss me? Oh?
- 20:24Speaker 2: No, no, I was like, yeah she said she misses me. No, No,
- 20:29Speaker 2: she's just you know, very We just catch up when
- 20:31Speaker 2: we can't, cause that's just we've never lived in the
- 20:33Speaker 2: same city, so it's always been our dynamic. But it
- 20:37Speaker 2: just made me realize that sometimes you just got a
- 20:39Speaker 2: plane it with the husband.
- 20:42Speaker 3: To Puerto Rican. Me like literally was like I.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Have fomo no. Yeah, it was so beautiful.
- 20:47Speaker 3: She was so cute.
- 20:49Speaker 2: God, she's so cute. Yeah, she's so cute. And she's
- 20:52Speaker 2: like I said, she cry. I did not hear the
- 20:55Speaker 2: baby cray one time. I swear on my life, she's
- 20:57Speaker 2: not crying. I mean I wasn't there like night when
- 21:00Speaker 2: they were putting her down. I was in my room
- 21:01Speaker 2: and stuff, but I did not hear her cry. One time.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I was like, Jojo, this is crazy. Yeah, it feels
- 21:08Speaker 2: not normal. She was like, you have to you would
- 21:11Speaker 2: love it. You'd be such a great mom. And I'm like,
- 21:14Speaker 2: I really, I do believe. I truly think that if
- 21:16Speaker 2: I committed to the cause, I'd be a good mom,
- 21:19Speaker 2: but the best mom. I'm also like she is. She's
- 21:25Speaker 2: a sweet little angel girl. It sleeps very well.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Yeah, what happened? Just go to sleep.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I think she'd go down at like nine or something
- 21:32Speaker 2: and then she'd sleep a long time, like basically till
- 21:35Speaker 2: I woke up.
- 21:36Speaker 1: No.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I was amazed.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Wow.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Yeah. So it was just really fun. Jordan's such a
- 21:41Speaker 2: great dad. So, like, we came home, we went to
- 21:44Speaker 2: the spa and we came back and he had put
- 21:47Speaker 2: her in a cute little outfit and did her hair
- 21:49Speaker 2: with a little clip and I was like, oh, that
- 21:51Speaker 2: is so cute.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I can't I know.
- 21:54Speaker 2: So it was fun getting to see them in that
- 21:57Speaker 2: element and just thriving, So it was great and I
- 22:02Speaker 2: felt like we got a lot of you know, I
- 22:03Speaker 2: think while I was there, Alley's episodes went up, and
- 22:07Speaker 2: it was really special seeing people's responses to that because
- 22:12Speaker 2: I think postpartum is obviously we're people are talking about
- 22:17Speaker 2: it more now because I think there's bravery and not
- 22:23Speaker 2: feeling alone. But it made me realize how many people,
- 22:28Speaker 2: even for people who aren't going through it, like me
- 22:31Speaker 2: not having kids and not being in that season of life,
- 22:35Speaker 2: getting to witness it up close changed me. You know,
- 22:38Speaker 2: I will never it changed how I have always thought
- 22:41Speaker 2: about that season for people and how I've always perceived
- 22:45Speaker 2: it because it was someone that I love so much
- 22:47Speaker 2: and that I was I'm so close to and watching
- 22:49Speaker 2: her go through it and navigate it. I'm so proud
- 22:52Speaker 2: that she came on and spoke about it because I'm like,
- 22:55Speaker 2: you're gonna help so many people. The more you talk
- 22:56Speaker 2: about this, the more other people don't feel alone. So
- 22:59Speaker 2: it was really cool to have that conversation. I was
- 23:01Speaker 2: glad she was able to come on and have people
- 23:05Speaker 2: resonate with that, which sucks. I hate that people can
- 23:08Speaker 2: relate to.
- 23:09Speaker 3: It, but it's all freakin crazy.
- 23:14Speaker 2: But one of my favorite parts is that she sat down.
- 23:18Speaker 2: And you know how when we're in the other studio
- 23:20Speaker 2: trying to get the camera and lighting.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Right, it's rough.
- 23:23Speaker 2: We never able to do it. We never get it right.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Every time one of us is like, oh my god,
- 23:29Speaker 2: I look.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Horm horrible, like truly never looked worse.
- 23:34Speaker 2: And so the whole time she has it set up,
- 23:36Speaker 2: and she posted a video because we had the videos rolling,
- 23:39Speaker 2: so it captured everything, and so it's the camera's facing her.
- 23:43Speaker 2: It's on selfie style like this, and so she can
- 23:46Speaker 2: see how she looks. And I'm like, well, just make
- 23:48Speaker 2: sure you like how you look, and if you want
- 23:50Speaker 2: me to address the lighting, I can make it warmer,
- 23:52Speaker 2: bright or whatever. So then she goes, no, I don't
- 23:54Speaker 2: like this angle. And she was like, can I put
- 23:56Speaker 2: a pillow in my lap? And I'm like, yeah, do
- 23:58Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Off in that room. I will. I'll give her credit
- 24:01Speaker 3: where credit is due.
- 24:02Speaker 2: So then I go she moves it to the side
- 24:04Speaker 2: and I go, okay, just so you know this is
- 24:06Speaker 2: gonna be your profile shot because you're gonna be looking
- 24:09Speaker 2: at me from this angle. She's like, it's fine, oly, gorgeous,
- 24:11Speaker 2: and she got flustered because we had moved it so
- 24:13Speaker 2: many times. So then the video comes out and it's
- 24:16Speaker 2: just full spiral and she's blaming me, and I'm like,
- 24:21Speaker 2: I have.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Video proof that I said it's gonna be.
- 24:25Speaker 2: It's gonna be this angle, and so she was very flustered.
- 24:29Speaker 2: But it was really really relatable, and then we got
- 24:32Speaker 2: into this very deep conversation just what we do. We
- 24:36Speaker 2: just laughed through it.
- 24:37Speaker 3: So I do want to listen to those episodes. It's
- 24:39Speaker 3: on my to do list.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You should listen, give it a listen.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I was gonna listen to it on on my
- 24:46Speaker 3: on my flight back, but I started watching did you
- 24:48Speaker 3: ever see in Perfect Women?
- 24:50Speaker 2: No? Wait, what is Who's in that?
- 24:52Speaker 3: It's Carrie Washington, the girl from Handmaid's.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Tale, Elizabeth Moss.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and the from House of Cards. Her name escapes me.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Was she like the young intern in House Care?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Yes? Is it good?
- 25:09Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I didn't even hear people talk about it, really, I
- 25:14Speaker 2: mean I don't have a memory of Oh.
- 25:15Speaker 3: My gosh, I have a memory of people talking about it,
- 25:17Speaker 3: but I never like, I was only watching Love Island
- 25:20Speaker 3: in that time. Is too much TV? Now that like
- 25:24Speaker 3: popularly The Night Goes. I think we need to watch
- 25:27Speaker 3: show like with some substance because the brain all we've
- 25:31Speaker 3: watched since June is Love Island. You have Love Island
- 25:35Speaker 3: UK and Chopped Food Network.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Well like Chopped as you're getting some skill sets, right.
- 25:41Speaker 3: You're gonna learn like just like light Easy TV to
- 25:43Speaker 3: like Fall Asleep too.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 3: But this show was really good, so you'd recommend it
- 25:52Speaker 3: to you?
- 25:53Speaker 2: Yes, wow, okay, yes, I'll check it out. I started
- 25:56Speaker 2: Sterling Point, which I'm very excited about.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I'm going to start that too.
- 25:59Speaker 2: So far, so great. Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 3: How many episodes in are you?
- 26:02Speaker 2: I'm one and a half on the second episode, okay,
- 26:06Speaker 2: And it is so I love how it's written. I
- 26:11Speaker 2: just feel like it's very realistic. And I saw the director,
- 26:14Speaker 2: Meghan Park. I think Meghan Park maybe Parks. She directed
- 26:19Speaker 2: mild Ass, which I loved that mild Ass. My old ass.
- 26:24Speaker 4: First of all is Park singular. Okay, I also loved.
- 26:27Speaker 1: My Old Ass.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Tanya, you have to watch it. It is so that good.
- 26:30Speaker 3: I don't even know. I don't know.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Like last year, two years ago, right around Thanksgiving because
- 26:35Speaker 1: I was sick and stuck in the bedroom and I
- 26:37Speaker 1: couldn't leave because I was having stampach issues. It's not
- 26:40Speaker 1: a great Thanksgiving, but I watched that and it was phenomenal.
- 26:44Speaker 4: I love what a great movie.
- 26:45Speaker 3: She's a great she's she did this Sterling Point.
- 26:47Speaker 2: So she was an actress in Secret Life of an
- 26:50Speaker 2: American teenage tenager.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that show.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And so now she's a director. So she directed My
- 26:55Speaker 2: Old Ass and then she directed Sterling Point. But I
- 26:59Speaker 2: saw an interview with her and she she also wrote
- 27:01Speaker 2: the script and it's an original. It's not based on
- 27:03Speaker 2: a book or anything, which is very rare these days,
- 27:05Speaker 2: you know. And she was saying how she really wanted
- 27:09Speaker 2: the actors to speak how they would speak. So she
- 27:12Speaker 2: she was like, here's the line. But if you say,
- 27:14Speaker 2: if you think you would say it differently, say how
- 27:16Speaker 2: you would say it. Because she was like, I'm a millennial,
- 27:19Speaker 2: so if it's too millennial and you would say it
- 27:21Speaker 2: in a gen Z way, say it like that. So
- 27:24Speaker 2: you really feel that in the show. In my opinion,
- 27:25Speaker 2: it doesn't feel corny. And all the cast is stunning.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Everyone's so pretty.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I heard Sterling Points like the new off Campus.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I think it's the script acting is better than off campus.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I don't better personal but I know people have very
- 27:43Speaker 2: passionate feelings towards off campus. But personally, I so far
- 27:45Speaker 2: I think it's better.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Wow, it's on my list.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Okay, great, Well I will look into Imperfect Women.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It's a murder mystery murderous, yes, but it's told through
- 27:55Speaker 3: the three women. They're like the main women, and it's
- 27:59Speaker 3: kind of told the stories told through each of their perspectives.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Uh huh, it is fantastic. I love a perspective, like
- 28:06Speaker 3: the ending. Here's the thing. It was a little slow,
- 28:09Speaker 3: like sometimes some episodes were like a little bit like slow,
- 28:11Speaker 3: but the last scene was like amazing. So I'm like, oh,
- 28:14Speaker 3: I got to see how that pays off, you know,
- 28:16Speaker 3: So just cut me the last thing.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I have one of the episodes you mean, Yeah, I'm like,
- 28:21Speaker 2: don't make me watch the whole season, just for the.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Last scene, the last scene of like every episode.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Oh, I see, that's how they get you. They got
- 28:29Speaker 2: me they How was your trip to Wisconsin?
- 28:32Speaker 4: Thank you for Hanson, Wisconsin. Yeah it was good.
- 28:35Speaker 1: It's fun to hear that accent a couple of times
- 28:37Speaker 1: a year. Yeah, it was a really nice, good time.
- 28:39Speaker 1: With family, nothing much to speak of. Got some sun
- 28:42Speaker 1: as well. You guys noticed not like that it was hot.
- 28:46Speaker 1: It was muggy. Yeah, we went to a water park. Wow,
- 28:50Speaker 1: the America's largest water park.
- 28:54Speaker 4: It was true.
- 28:55Speaker 1: It was arc in the Wisconsin Dell's the America's largest
- 28:58Speaker 1: water park. I thought about books biblically based, uh not,
- 29:02Speaker 1: so it's not themed that way.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Like the rise aren't biblical. But yeah, I guess Noah's Ark,
- 29:08Speaker 1: But I didn't feel that walking around.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Okay, not crosses everywhere. I thought the biggest water park
- 29:14Speaker 3: was in the Mall of America.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Well, I don't know about it.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I think that might be the biggest in the mall. Oh, yes,
- 29:22Speaker 2: that's it?
- 29:22Speaker 3: Yeahor is it?
- 29:27Speaker 2: It was? I don't know what the weather was like
- 29:29Speaker 2: in Italy, but it was so humid in Puerto Rico.
- 29:33Speaker 3: It was hot. Everybody was like, how did you pack
- 29:37Speaker 3: a carry on for a week trip. I'm like, I
- 29:39Speaker 3: packed no clothes because it was eighty degrees at night.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Your outfits are great, though. It did a great job
- 29:44Speaker 2: styling yourself.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Thank you. You kind of helped.
- 29:47Speaker 2: But I mean I went with you to one store.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's a big house. Yes or no, that's
- 29:51Speaker 3: a big help. But yeah, I was scorching. That's why
- 29:54Speaker 3: I think I was in the water so much.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I was just like it's a I love just jumping
- 29:58Speaker 2: in the ocean like that.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I haven't even submerged my body since January because I
- 30:03Speaker 3: was so scared. Yea, I know I have been, I
- 30:07Speaker 3: have been unwell.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's healing, healing.
- 30:14Speaker 3: And then I like kept having these thoughts of like
- 30:17Speaker 3: all these cliffs are so big and there's all these people,
- 30:20Speaker 3: all these people who have no idea who I am,
- 30:23Speaker 3: no idea what I'm going through. Like some people live here,
- 30:27Speaker 3: some people are just passing by. Some people are driving
- 30:29Speaker 3: cabs six months of the year here. And it just
- 30:32Speaker 3: made me realize, like we're all all of our problems.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Like you know, I say problem, it's like just not
- 30:40Speaker 3: a problem that I'm dealing with, but it's just like
- 30:42Speaker 3: something that I'm going through. But I'm like so many
- 30:45Speaker 3: people go through it.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so many people are.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Dealing with it. And I can't pause my life, like
- 30:50Speaker 3: I just have to like live my life. Everybody's living
- 30:52Speaker 3: their lives, are going through all different kinds of crazy things,
- 30:55Speaker 3: and everybody's just moving along made me feel so small
- 30:59Speaker 3: and the in the best way.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels so good to feel small. That's why
- 31:03Speaker 2: before you chose Italy, I was like, you should go
- 31:06Speaker 2: up to the trees, like the big trees, because something
- 31:08Speaker 2: about being around those trees are like by an expansive
- 31:11Speaker 2: ocean or something. You feel so small in the best
- 31:15Speaker 2: kind of way.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and swimming like a fish like. I was just
- 31:19Speaker 3: like going back and forth and back and forth, back
- 31:21Speaker 3: and while trying to get videos. Did you see the
- 31:24Speaker 3: video that I posted.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'm going to bring that up. Okay, First of all,
- 31:29Speaker 2: I have two opinions on this.
- 31:31Speaker 3: What is my fault?
- 31:34Speaker 2: So that those are really hard shots to get When
- 31:37Speaker 2: people do them well, it is impressive. I think it's
- 31:40Speaker 2: so hard. Every time I've ever tried to get a shot,
- 31:43Speaker 2: you have to be at the right upward angle or sideways.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I mean a lot of the ones you Soda is
- 31:49Speaker 2: an example, they were pretty above. Yeah, and then you
- 31:52Speaker 2: also were crotch facing him and you really didn't give
- 31:55Speaker 2: him much to work with. So at some point we
- 31:58Speaker 2: have to take accountability. You told me, baby, what is
- 32:01Speaker 2: your life?
- 32:02Speaker 3: Turn side, give your arms a little bend.
- 32:05Speaker 2: He probably shook that he was. He probably didn't know
- 32:08Speaker 2: where to start. He's like, she is arms up still,
- 32:14Speaker 2: he's not even moving.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Because you want a video of you just floating in
- 32:17Speaker 3: the pool like that, I was like, yeah, it's gonna
- 32:18Speaker 3: look good.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Did you show him then? Mouth no? Oh, he really
- 32:22Speaker 2: had a disadvantage.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I was swimming.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I was like, they were still. I've never seen someone
- 32:26Speaker 2: floats for so long without moving. It's like crazy.
- 32:30Speaker 3: And the pool was so cool. I was like, this
- 32:32Speaker 3: is gonna be such a cool video. I can't wait
- 32:34Speaker 3: to see this post. I was gonna post the thing.
- 32:37Speaker 2: But what did you think you were? You thought you
- 32:38Speaker 2: were serving?
- 32:39Speaker 3: Yes, I thought I was serving like a model like
- 32:42Speaker 3: you were like I am, only for a long time.
- 32:44Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I've got twenty seconds to work
- 32:46Speaker 3: with here.
- 32:46Speaker 2: You didn't move, so twenty seconds of one one post.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I thought the water would be moving for me.
- 32:52Speaker 2: No, no, no, it looked like you were lying on
- 32:54Speaker 2: his bag. You're lying on the bed, Like we could
- 32:58Speaker 2: take a sticker of you in that and just put
- 33:00Speaker 2: it on any flat surface and you would be actually
- 33:05Speaker 2: shocked if by out you were in water. But I'm
- 33:08Speaker 2: dying that you were like, oh, like your face is
- 33:11Speaker 2: just like the no expression. Arms are up, legs are out.
- 33:17Speaker 3: People were damning me being like Becca would never. I'm
- 33:19Speaker 3: like Becca would never.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I would. I would be giving you some instructions. Yes,
- 33:23Speaker 2: but I do think he had a disadvantage not seeing
- 33:26Speaker 2: the in spoke because he was probably like, what are
- 33:29Speaker 2: we going for? Here are her legs out open towards me?
- 33:35Speaker 2: This is like a starfish.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Yeh. Someone goes it's giving dateline.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Like if you have been faced in the other direction,
- 33:44Speaker 2: and would it looks like a murder scene. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:48Speaker 2: that was a good laugh. Thanks for posting that.
- 33:51Speaker 3: I was like, this video is so tragic, but like
- 33:54Speaker 3: it needs to go up.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we can work. We can maybe we'll go swim
- 33:59Speaker 2: in the ocean. I can get to something, yeah, thank you, yeah,
- 34:01Speaker 2: thank you. We can get a resort pass, go to
- 34:03Speaker 2: a cool pool overlooking the ocean or something.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 2: I mean it's not Cappri but.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Capri adjacent.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 3: And the taxis there are so cute. They're like they
- 34:16Speaker 3: have these little awnings on.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Just oh yeah, it does look really cute.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So everything's open, it's just like so charming.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Like evermoving there, I felt like I was in a
- 34:25Speaker 2: fairy tale like it looked. I mean, Haley's like, we
- 34:27Speaker 2: need all the details on this trip.
- 34:30Speaker 3: There was somebody there that is that booked a wedding venue,
- 34:32Speaker 3: is getting married there. Oh really, but they live in
- 34:35Speaker 3: New York.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it's so much easier from New York.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it's tough.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We're not not considering Europe. We kind of had thrown
- 34:42Speaker 2: it off the table, but we're not. We're not not
- 34:45Speaker 2: doing it.
- 34:46Speaker 3: It's just so magical.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm so happy. I'll had such a great time
- 34:53Speaker 2: a lot of A couple of weeks ago, I decided
- 34:55Speaker 2: I realized, which I've talked about this before, I think
- 34:57Speaker 2: on the podcast we talked about it. But I have
- 34:59Speaker 2: a really hard I'm trying new things because if I'm
- 35:02Speaker 2: not immediately confident that I'm gonna be good at them,
- 35:04Speaker 2: I just write it off or just or don't even
- 35:07Speaker 2: put myself out there. And this morning we did something
- 35:11Speaker 2: that I've been wanting to do that's very basic, but
- 35:14Speaker 2: I've been hesitant to do it because I felt nervous
- 35:17Speaker 2: about doing it. But we're gonna talk about it when we.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Come back this morning.
- 35:37Speaker 2: We're back. So last night this is something you do
- 35:42Speaker 2: all the time. For me, Yeah, I have wanted to
- 35:45Speaker 2: get into pilates, but I've done Matt Plate. I'm not
- 35:49Speaker 2: intimidated by Matt Plate's I've done that.
- 35:50Speaker 3: It's the machine, the reformer.
- 35:52Speaker 2: But I've always just been like, I'm not super flexible,
- 35:55Speaker 2: and those classes it feels like everyone's like really knows
- 35:58Speaker 2: what they're doing. So I've always just written it off
- 36:01Speaker 2: as like I don't want to do that. And so
- 36:04Speaker 2: last night I've I've decided I'm gonna try new things,
- 36:07Speaker 2: and I was like, I'm gonna start with plates because
- 36:09Speaker 2: I've been wanting to try that. And so I told
- 36:11Speaker 2: Haley I was looking for classes nearby, and she was like,
- 36:14Speaker 2: I'd love to do that with you, which I was
- 36:16Speaker 2: so grateful for because going with somebody, and especially her,
- 36:20Speaker 2: I was really excited to do it together. So we booked.
- 36:24Speaker 2: There's this new studio nearby, So we booked a class
- 36:27Speaker 2: and I didn't look to see if it was beginner
- 36:29Speaker 2: or not. I just booked. I've done plates on a
- 36:32Speaker 2: reformer one time when I went to Nashville with the
- 36:35Speaker 2: Bachelor Girls, and I did kind of well, So I
- 36:38Speaker 2: thought like, this should be easy. This is like an
- 36:40Speaker 2: ex former.
- 36:41Speaker 3: So the the big ones. Oh my god. We get in, Well,
- 36:46Speaker 3: what's the class. What's the name of the studio?
- 36:48Speaker 2: Uh like I don't even know.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 36:53Speaker 2: So we go and we're just I go to the
- 36:57Speaker 2: very end. I'm like, I need to be as far
- 36:58Speaker 2: away from everyone as possible. And so we start doing
- 37:01Speaker 2: it and it is so hard. My muscles are shaking
- 37:05Speaker 2: so badly. My whole body.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Shakes these little shakes.
- 37:08Speaker 2: It's like so crazy, so intense. And the whole time Haley,
- 37:12Speaker 2: she'd ask us to do something, and Haley and I
- 37:14Speaker 2: are just looking at each other like giggling because we're
- 37:16Speaker 2: like no chance. So we get through it and I do.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I'm like already sore, so I felt like I did something.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And the girl goes, that was a quite like that
- 37:28Speaker 2: was a pretty hard routine to have, like grace with yourself.
- 37:31Speaker 2: And so we're leaving and she's like, what were your names?
- 37:33Speaker 2: And we introduce ourselves and we're like, was that a
- 37:35Speaker 2: like advanced class? And she goes, that was that was
- 37:38Speaker 2: pretty you know, that was pretty advanced, and she goes,
- 37:40Speaker 2: we do have beginner classes. Because my whole thing was
- 37:43Speaker 2: I need to know the form, you know. Yeah, like
- 37:46Speaker 2: there's a whole thing of like tucking your pelvision and
- 37:48Speaker 2: all this stuff. And so we're like okay, so we're like, well,
- 37:52Speaker 2: we'll try the beginner next time. And I was just like,
- 37:55Speaker 2: you know what, she was so nice. It didn't feel intimidating.
- 37:59Speaker 2: We got through it, and we're going to go to
- 38:01Speaker 2: a beginner's class and maybe we'll be with some old
- 38:04Speaker 2: ladies and we'll be advanced.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I've taken so many beginner classes.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I don't like being a beginner, but that's what I'm saying.
- 38:11Speaker 2: I'm trying to like let myself be a beginner. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 2: and so that's my newest journey. I love that for
- 38:19Speaker 2: you for me, thank you, because I too love p lates.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I know, I look like the shakes are crazy.
- 38:25Speaker 3: They're crazy.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I didn't even know my body could do that.
- 38:30Speaker 3: And you know why it's such a good workout is
- 38:32Speaker 3: because it's like so low impact.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah is that what they said, mobil It's She was like, well,
- 38:37Speaker 2: you have other classes that can be like higher impact
- 38:40Speaker 2: with this is for mobility, and.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Yeah it helps like with your back and your posture
- 38:44Speaker 3: like everything.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're excited. That's our newest Journey.
- 38:48Speaker 3: Well, I love that for you. Actually, you know, I've
- 38:50Speaker 3: been so out of my workout routine that there was
- 38:53Speaker 3: this beach club that we went to that was like,
- 38:56Speaker 3: when I tell I'm not even exaggerating, at least a
- 38:58Speaker 3: thousand steps, like down.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Tanya, what this? These videos of you going down these
- 39:05Speaker 2: stairs were insane.
- 39:09Speaker 3: It's not even how I went down.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I went.
- 39:12Speaker 3: My My calves were literally like having the shakes because I.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Was because you're taking so many steps.
- 39:18Speaker 3: It was very slippery and the last thing you want
- 39:21Speaker 3: is me to slip and fall and end up in
- 39:23Speaker 3: an er.
- 39:24Speaker 2: No, I told Robbie, I go listen, she is moving
- 39:27Speaker 2: like an old lady, but better safe and sorry. Exactly
- 39:30Speaker 2: did you have kitten heels on?
- 39:31Speaker 3: Yes?
- 39:32Speaker 2: I think you should have taken the kitten heels off
- 39:34Speaker 2: and gone the.
- 39:34Speaker 3: First time I had kitten heels on. The second time
- 39:36Speaker 3: I went low on the flip flops. Okay, but still
- 39:39Speaker 3: I was like so shocked that my calves were like shit,
- 39:42Speaker 3: like literally shaking from the stairs. I was like, wow,
- 39:44Speaker 3: you know you're out of your workout routine when walking
- 39:47Speaker 3: down to the beach makes your legs quiver.
- 39:49Speaker 2: But that's a different muscle. You're not you're walking. Remember
- 39:51Speaker 2: we used to do the Brentwood stairs.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's such a good workout.
- 39:55Speaker 2: I know, but that's a totally different muscle.
- 39:57Speaker 3: I know. If this was Tanya three months ago, I
- 40:01Speaker 3: would have been really stressed out that my heart rate
- 40:03Speaker 3: was going up really high. Oh, I don't care. Last week.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I think it's okay. If your heart rate you should
- 40:09Speaker 2: go up and down every now and then. Okay. I
- 40:12Speaker 2: wanted to talk about this because this is a fascinating
- 40:15Speaker 2: conversation which I've never heard happened before. But someone posted
- 40:21Speaker 2: on threads that the passenger next to her asked if
- 40:24Speaker 2: she would stop watching her movie because the violent scenes
- 40:27Speaker 2: were upsetting. She said she was wearing headphones, but agreed
- 40:30Speaker 2: to switch movies anyway. Many people praise her for changing
- 40:33Speaker 2: the movie, saying it's a small act of kindness. Some
- 40:36Speaker 2: pointed out that the other passenger could have PTSD anxiety,
- 40:39Speaker 2: recently experienced trauma, or simply been uncomfortable with graphic images.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Others disagreed, arguing that if you're watching a movie on
- 40:46Speaker 2: your own screen with headphones, you've done nothing wrong. They
- 40:48Speaker 2: felt it up to the other passenger to look away
- 40:50Speaker 2: or choose a different seat if possible. The debate turned
- 40:53Speaker 2: into a bigger conversation about balancing kindness with personal responsibility.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Should we accommodate requests that cost us very little? Or
- 41:00Speaker 2: unreasonable to expect strangers to change their behavior because someone
- 41:03Speaker 2: else is uncomfortable.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I mean, I'm the wrong person to ask, because I
- 41:07Speaker 3: would just totally change the movie if.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Somebody asked me that.
- 41:11Speaker 3: There's no way I wouldn't change the channel.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I think I too. I think I understand the I
- 41:19Speaker 2: understand the both sides of it, because you pay for
- 41:22Speaker 2: a CEAT and you get your TV, and that's that's
- 41:24Speaker 2: all you have to work with. That's what you're paying for.
- 41:27Speaker 2: But I do think there is this world where with
- 41:32Speaker 2: some of the movies that are out there and that
- 41:34Speaker 2: you see on TV, if someone is experiencing those things,
- 41:37Speaker 2: is the kind act would be to just change it?
- 41:41Speaker 2: But I think I it's like, do you have a
- 41:45Speaker 2: conversation of why do you what's bothering you? Oh? Because hard?
- 41:51Speaker 3: I please?
- 41:52Speaker 2: But like what if she wouldn't have done it? Would
- 41:54Speaker 2: she had been a bad person? You know, she ended
- 41:57Speaker 2: up changing it and you would end up changing it.
- 41:59Speaker 2: And I most likely would also end up changing it.
- 42:01Speaker 2: But if we didn't, would that make us a bad person?
- 42:04Speaker 3: Yes?
- 42:05Speaker 2: Oh, I don't think it makes you a bad person.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I think you can choose kindness and to see have
- 42:10Speaker 2: empathy and understand that maybe someone's going through something that
- 42:13Speaker 2: you're not going through. But I also don't think that
- 42:16Speaker 2: being like, oh, well, you know, I paid for this
- 42:18Speaker 2: and I've been wanting to watch this movie and I
- 42:20Speaker 2: have kids, and this is my first time I've been
- 42:22Speaker 2: able to sit down and watch it in peace. You
- 42:24Speaker 2: should have that that right to do that.
- 42:26Speaker 3: In my mind, I'm like, there's obviously something else you
- 42:28Speaker 3: could watch.
- 42:29Speaker 2: There's always something, There's always something. But I'm saying, if
- 42:31Speaker 2: you're like, oh my gosh, I've been dying to see
- 42:33Speaker 2: this movie.
- 42:33Speaker 3: I have kids, they don't have that alone time.
- 42:36Speaker 2: What do you think Mark?
- 42:37Speaker 4: It's funny.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I feel like I've been in this situation because I've
- 42:41Speaker 1: you know, I don't typically watch the movies they offer.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I download stuff to my iPad from HBO, Max, from Hulu,
- 42:48Speaker 1: from whatever. So I'll be watching like The White Lotus
- 42:51Speaker 1: and a love scene will come on and I'll get
- 42:53Speaker 1: really uncomfortable and I'll pull it right towards me, because
- 42:56Speaker 1: I don't want the person next to me. If if
- 42:58Speaker 1: some of these glances over at that moment, you're it's
- 43:00Speaker 1: a weird creep on an airplane because they don't know
- 43:02Speaker 1: the context of whatever you're watching.
- 43:04Speaker 4: I thought, that's what.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's a weird moment. So I guess I
- 43:08Speaker 1: understand it to some degree. You do have to be
- 43:11Speaker 1: respectful of people around you, so I try to, like
- 43:13Speaker 1: I hug it to my chest until it's over, and
- 43:15Speaker 1: then I put it back on my tray.
- 43:17Speaker 2: But you can't do that with the TV screen in
- 43:19Speaker 2: front of you, you know.
- 43:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true.
- 43:23Speaker 1: But if it's in the seat, if it's offered by
- 43:25Speaker 1: the airline, yeah, it's going to be kind of sanitized.
- 43:28Speaker 1: They take out a lot of those scenes.
- 43:31Speaker 2: But if it's a vile I don't know. I think
- 43:33Speaker 2: if they took a.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Lot show that I watched in Perfect Women, there was
- 43:37Speaker 3: like a little bit, I mean, I wouldn't say it's
- 43:39Speaker 3: like it was gross, but there was some like there
- 43:41Speaker 3: was some violence, okay, and that was on the airplane.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Bottom line is I think if somebody asked me, that
- 43:47Speaker 1: means it's important to them, and then I said, yes,
- 43:49Speaker 1: I would change.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I think for me to be
- 43:53Speaker 2: able to ask my neighbor, could you change, I would
- 43:56Speaker 2: have to be in a very vulnerable, brave state of
- 43:59Speaker 2: like panic.
- 44:00Speaker 3: I think what I would try to do first is
- 44:01Speaker 3: just lying with somebody. I would ask to switch with
- 44:04Speaker 3: whoever I was flying with, you know what I mean.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Like if I was flying with Robbing and he was
- 44:07Speaker 3: on like the middle, like we would just wear like
- 44:09Speaker 3: both in the middles, I'd ask, like switch with him first,
- 44:12Speaker 3: like she's watching something I can't like watch it. I
- 44:15Speaker 3: would try to disturb myself first, and if Robbie was
- 44:18Speaker 3: like a sleep or something, then I think I would
- 44:20Speaker 3: ask them.
- 44:20Speaker 2: I also think there's a world of asking if there's
- 44:24Speaker 2: another seat you could switch to. I would inconvenience myself
- 44:27Speaker 2: first before I got to the point of having to
- 44:29Speaker 2: ask someone that. Yeah, but it really brings up that
- 44:32Speaker 2: I don't think you're a I don't think you're a
- 44:34Speaker 2: bad person if you deny them, because I think everyone
- 44:36Speaker 2: has a reasoning, and like, if you're just being rude
- 44:40Speaker 2: to be rude, and you don't have a reason that
- 44:41Speaker 2: you can't change, then that's not nice in my opinion.
- 44:44Speaker 2: But I also, you pay for that seat, you only
- 44:47Speaker 2: get that space, right.
- 44:50Speaker 3: It's tough.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it's a very interesting debate. I've heard
- 44:53Speaker 2: of people asking to move seats and I'm always like, no,
- 44:55Speaker 2: you get what you pay for. You can trade. If
- 44:58Speaker 2: someone wants to trade to an equal seat, that I
- 45:02Speaker 2: guess you can take them.
- 45:03Speaker 3: I've asked to switch seats before and gotten notes and
- 45:06Speaker 3: it's very humbling.
- 45:08Speaker 2: And that's okay the same, Like it's literally.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Middle to middle, like why you don't want to switch?
- 45:12Speaker 3: Like a stick to my husband.
- 45:14Speaker 2: They don't care about you and your husband. They're like,
- 45:17Speaker 2: you should have booked that together.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I think flying etiquette is a there's always interesting
- 45:24Speaker 2: debates because you really see you see the best and
- 45:28Speaker 2: the worst of people in the airports. Yeah, and on airplanes.
- 45:31Speaker 2: And there was a woman who I I everyone stood up.
- 45:34Speaker 2: We were getting our bags off the plane and she
- 45:36Speaker 2: was in the aisles behind us, and she kept trying
- 45:39Speaker 2: to go forward, and finally I go are you I
- 45:41Speaker 2: was like, are you in a rush? And she was
- 45:43Speaker 2: like no, And I was like, well, just go ahead.
- 45:46Speaker 2: I just wanted her to know, like this is crazy
- 45:49Speaker 2: what you're doing. Wait, wait till the people in front
- 45:51Speaker 2: of you.
- 45:52Speaker 3: But I was like when people try and bolt before
- 45:55Speaker 3: like the aisles like all come out, I'm like, it's
- 45:58Speaker 3: so you you the rose before you go.
- 46:01Speaker 2: It's just it's just order.
- 46:04Speaker 3: It's just the order of like I understand if you
- 46:06Speaker 3: have a connecting That's why I was like, are you
- 46:08Speaker 3: going to say that, I'd say I have a connecting flight?
- 46:10Speaker 3: Can I like squeeze on buy you people?
- 46:12Speaker 2: Do you mind? Do you mind? No?
- 46:15Speaker 3: She's like, you really do learn a lot about people flying.
- 46:18Speaker 3: When we were one of our flights, Robbie was like
- 46:21Speaker 3: asking different women around us if they need help getting
- 46:23Speaker 3: their like bags down.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:25Speaker 3: I was like, that's my guy.
- 46:31Speaker 2: I always I always ask older Like I'll see an
- 46:36Speaker 2: older woman struggling, not a single man offers, and I'm like,
- 46:39Speaker 2: can I help you?
- 46:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's crazy.
