- 0:34And if you are a return listener, welcome back
- 0:36home. We hope that this week has been wonderful
- 0:38for you. and make sure that you are printing
- 0:41out your workbook pages and so we can work along
- 0:43with this. And so there's nothing more dangerous
- 0:46to hell than a believer who knows who they are
- 0:50and knows what they're called to do. And so in
- 0:54this episode, we're going to be walking in your
- 0:56kingdom assignment. Identity gives you the confidence,
- 0:59but calling gives you direction. Identity shapes
- 1:02your heart. but assignments shape your steps.
- 1:05Identity tells you that you belong to God, but
- 1:08calling tells you where God wants you, where
- 1:12you were not created to drift through life. We
- 1:15are not created to exist without purpose, and
- 1:17we're not created to settle in survival mode.
- 1:20We're not created to be passive, bored, insecure,
- 1:24or spiritually dull. We are created with intention,
- 1:28designed with meaning, formed for purpose, and
- 1:30placed in generations on purpose. Filled with
- 1:33gifts on purpose, called into spaces on purpose,
- 1:37given influence on purpose. Identity is who you
- 1:40are. Calling is what you're made for. Assignment
- 1:44is where God sends you. And in this episode for
- 1:47week four wraps up March. We're taking you taking
- 1:53your identity and turning it into movement because
- 1:56you know how much I love movement because God
- 1:58didn't just save you. He sent you. He didn't
- 2:01just deliver you. He deployed you. He didn't
- 2:04just love you. He appointed you. And our life
- 2:09has a design, a divine assignment on it. And
- 2:12so you were created on purpose for purpose. And
- 2:15one of the most repeated truths in scripture
- 2:17is that God created us with intention. In Ephesians
- 2:202 10, it says, You are God's workmanship created
- 2:25in Christ Jesus from good works, which God prepared
- 2:28in advance for you to walk in. And that means
- 2:31God prepared work for you. God prepared you for
- 2:36the work. He prepared it before you were born.
- 2:40Your purpose is older than you are. And in Jeremiah
- 2:421 5 it says, before I formed you in your womb,
- 2:45I set you apart. I appointed you as. And before
- 2:50Jeremiah had a breath, he had an assignment.
- 2:52Before he had a voice, he had a calling. Before
- 2:55he lived a day, heaven had a plan. And the same
- 2:59is true for us. the true for you. You may not
- 3:02feel qualified. You may not feel ready. You may
- 3:05not feel capable. You may not feel spiritual
- 3:08enough. You may not feel like you're the right
- 3:10person. Maybe, but calling is not about your
- 3:14comfort. It's about God's choosing. God chooses
- 3:19unlikely people to show his glory clearly. And
- 3:23if you're feeling unqualified, good. Eat your
- 3:26type. He specializes in using surrendered, imperfect,
- 3:32humble, hungry people who say, God, if you'll
- 3:37use me, I'll go. Assignments begins with availability,
- 3:44not ability. And the enemy attacks callings in
- 3:47three ways. If we identify the first attack,
- 3:50calling is second, and the enemy comes after
- 3:53calling. And I think these major categories.
- 3:56One. Confusion. Is this really God or just me?
- 4:04Confusion makes you stall. Confusion makes you
- 4:07question everything. Question your existence.
- 4:09Question where you're at. Question the people
- 4:10that you're around. Question all the things.
- 4:13Is this really God or is it just me? So confusion
- 4:16will make you stall. Comparison. She's doing
- 4:20more than I am. Comparison makes you doubt your
- 4:24path. Condemnation. You're not worthy to be used
- 4:28by God. Condemnation makes you feel disqualified.
- 4:32The enemy doesn't have to stop your calling.
- 4:35He just has to get you to stop. But today, we're
- 4:39breaking through that. Because your calling isn't
- 4:42fragile. Your assignment isn't random. And your
- 4:44purpose is unstoppable. Your destiny isn't optional.
- 4:50You were created with intentionality. Your assignment
- 4:55is where your identity plus obedience meets.
- 4:59And so identity is who God says that you are.
- 5:02Calling is what God says that you are. Assignment
- 5:05is you saying yes. You cannot walk in calling
- 5:09without obedience. Calling requires movement,
- 5:12courage, strength, sacrifice, listening, and
- 5:18letting go of what is not yours. Stepping into
- 5:21places where you don't feel ready. But calling
- 5:24becomes a clear when identity becomes rooted.
- 5:29When you know who you are, you stop thinking
- 5:32small, you stop shrinking back, you stop asking
- 5:36for permission, you stop living safe, you stop
- 5:39apologizing for your anointing, and you stop
- 5:42and step into your assignment boldly. Identity
- 5:48fuels calling. The myth of the big calling. Let's
- 5:54break that lie. Your calling is not always a
- 5:59huge platform. One big moment is a calling as
- 6:04a lifestyle, not an event. And sometimes your
- 6:07kingdom assignment is raising your child with
- 6:10grace, serving at church faithfully, loving your
- 6:14spouse, disciplining three teenagers, leading
- 6:18that small group that only two people show up
- 6:20for. praying for people behind the scenes, starting
- 6:24a podcast, sharing God Jesus at work, leading
- 6:28worship, mentoring someone quietly, working with
- 6:34integrity, encouraging people who are hurting,
- 6:38giving generously, and showing up consistently.
- 6:42Jesus didn't say, well done, good and successful
- 6:46servant. He said, well done, good. faithful servant,
- 6:53calling out obedience, not cloud. You have a
- 6:58unique assignment. Your assignment is not generic,
- 7:00it's not random, it's not replaceable, and it's
- 7:03not transferable. You are placed in your specific
- 7:09family, city, church, time in history, given
- 7:16specific gifts, with specific experiences, relationships,
- 7:22burdens and passions and opportunities, an area
- 7:24of influence. Nothing about that is accidental.
- 7:28Your assignment is perfectly matched to your
- 7:31wiring. If God wanted you to have someone else's
- 7:34calling, He would have given you their personality,
- 7:37their voice, their story, their strengths, their
- 7:39weaknesses, their testimony, their struggles
- 7:41and their compassion. But guess what? He didn't.
- 7:45Why? Because your purpose is uniquely crafted
- 7:49for your story. And the cost of calling, waiting
- 7:55and walking in your kingdom assignment isn't
- 7:59always glamorous. It'll cost something. It might
- 8:04cost you comfort, friends, approval, your routine,
- 8:11staying small, the opinions of people who don't
- 8:15get it. Filiarity. Perfectionism. Insecurities.
- 8:23But obedience always leads to blessing. And God
- 8:27never removes something unless He's replacing
- 8:30it with something better. His calling stretches
- 8:33you, matures you, humbles you, strengthens you,
- 8:39it grows you, sanctifies you, and puts you into
- 8:42situations where you need God more. And that's
- 8:46exactly where he wants you to be. If you could
- 8:49do it all on your own, why would he put you there?
- 8:51He wants us to need him. He wants us to want
- 8:55him. So he's not going to give you something
- 8:57that you can do on your own. He's going to give
- 8:59you something that you need his help. And biblical
- 9:02examples of people walking in assignment. Moses
- 9:05was the reluctant leader turned into the obedient
- 9:09deliverer. He didn't feel ready. He didn't feel
- 9:11eloquent. He questioned everything. and God used
- 9:15him anyway. And Esther placed for such a time
- 9:20as this. Her life felt random until the assignment
- 9:25required her courage. And David, the shepherd
- 9:28boy, turned into anointed king. His gifting didn't
- 9:31match his status until God revealed him. And
- 9:35Mary, young and unseen, and chosen to carry Jesus.
- 9:40Assignments aren't about age or qualifications.
- 9:43And then you have Paul, the persecutor turned
- 9:45into a preacher. God redeems stories for purpose.
- 9:49None of these people were obvious choices. Calling
- 9:52isn't about obvious. Calling, it's about being
- 9:55obedient. And the Holy Spirit guides your assignment.
- 9:59Your calling is not something you figure out
- 10:01alone. The Holy Spirit leads you. It gives you
- 10:04promptings and burdens and desires, clarity and
- 10:08passion, restlessness in the wrong place. Peace
- 10:12in the right one supernatural boldness wisdom
- 10:16direction in the spirit confirmation through
- 10:18godly voices and opportunities that match your
- 10:21wiring Close doors that redirect you and we pray
- 10:24for hot handles because we know that we can be
- 10:26stubborn sometimes Opening doors that scare you
- 10:29wait. No, bro Like I can't go through that door
- 10:32and he's I opened it for you moments where you
- 10:37know God is moving assignments Assignment is
- 10:42a partnership with the Spirit of God. And you
- 10:44don't walk into calling. You're led into calling.
- 10:49And how you walk into your kingdom assignments.
- 10:51And so it's practical plus spiritual. And so
- 10:55one, surrender your yes. Calling starts with
- 11:00willingness. Bottom line. If you don't say yes,
- 11:05then what happens? Two, listen daily. Calling.
- 11:11is discovered through prayer and scripture. Listen
- 11:14to Him daily. Spend time with Him daily. He gave
- 11:16you 24 hours in the day. Two hours and 40 minutes
- 11:20is tithing your time. He didn't ask for that.
- 11:22He just said, be with me daily. Are you spending
- 11:28time with Him daily? Three, stay in your lane.
- 11:32Comparison kills your calling. Stay focused.
- 11:36I think of Psalm 23. I have set the table in
- 11:39the midst of your enemies. Focus on me. I've
- 11:41given you everything. Think of him whenever he
- 11:44was walking on the water. He lost his focus and
- 11:47didn't focus on Jesus and he began to drown.
- 11:50Start small. Obedience and small things lead
- 11:53to bigger assignments. He's not going to trust
- 11:56you with much if he can't trust you with little.
- 12:00Use what you have. Your gifts are tools for your
- 12:04assignment. Only you have those. Six. Trust in
- 12:09God's timing. Calling is seasonal. Don't rush
- 12:14it and don't lag behind. Two. Expect resistance.
- 12:21If hell isn't fighting it, it's probably not
- 12:23your calling. If you're doing something great
- 12:26for the kingdom, expect resistance. Walking community.
- 12:32Assignments flourish inside the body of Christ.
- 12:37Nine. Keep your identity rooted. Calling flows
- 12:41from identity, not insecurity. 10. Obey even
- 12:46when it's scary. Fear is not a stop sign. It's
- 12:49a sign you're stepping into purpose. And so your
- 12:53workbook asked this week, where is God calling
- 12:55me right now? And what step of obedience is he
- 12:58asking me to take? Sit with us. Let the Holy
- 13:02Spirit highlight this assignment. It may be small.
- 13:05It may be big. It may be unexpected, but it will
- 13:09align with your identity and your wiring. And
- 13:14so your step to action. Write down one step you
- 13:17take this week towards your assignment, but actually
- 13:21take it. So we want to be doers of the word and
- 13:25not just hearers of the word. Calling turns into
- 13:28movement through one step of obedience. We hope
- 13:32this message encouraged you. We hope that this
- 13:35march has helped you with your identity and your
- 13:38confidence and not allowing comparison and the
- 13:42labels that we have worn and the labels that
- 13:44we have taken off and the chains that we have
- 13:46broken. I hope that we are walking into a season
- 13:50of just more confidence and boldly and walking
- 13:53into our purpose of what God has called us to
- 13:56do. We hope that this message has inspired you.
- 13:59If it has, send it to a friend. read a comment,
- 14:02help our podcast grow, make sure that you're
- 14:04using the workbook assignments, and leave us
- 14:06messages about the workbook. If you want more
- 14:08depth, if you want them bigger, bolder, brighter,
- 14:11I had really pretty pages. but they were going
- 14:14to waste ink. And so I did not put them into
- 14:17a bunch of color. I just used them as black and
- 14:20white. And so we did it just very simply just
- 14:23to save paper and ink. And so we would love to
- 14:26pray for you this week. Dear Heavenly Father,
- 14:27thank you so much for our purpose on our life.
- 14:30Thank you that you reveal our assignments that
- 14:32you've given to us. Thank you for clarity and
- 14:33boldness and courage. Thank you for allowing
- 14:36us to have silence and lay. and the lies that
- 14:40are not going to disqualify us. Thank you that
- 14:42you're leading us with your spirit. Thank you
- 14:43that you're teaching us to walk in obedience
- 14:45and faith and with confidence. We surrender our
- 14:47yes to you today. Thank you for all that you
- 14:49do. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. We hope to see
- 14:53you guys next week for April. Have a great week.
- 14:56Bye.
