- 1:58SPEAKER_00: We cannot keep what we do not know.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, on to the term, and as always, forgive the redundancy, as it is a strong method used to help us to remember stuff.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: The terms will be listed in alphabetical order.

- 2:16SPEAKER_00: In effect, I'm still learning.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: The Bride of Christ.

- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Ephesians 5 25 through 27.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: The Apostle Paul compares human marriage to Christ and the Church, noting that Christ gave Himself up for the Church to make her holy and blameless, cleansing her to present her in splendor.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Revelation 19 7 through 8.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: The end times are pictured as a great wedding feast, the wedding feast of the Lamb, where the bride wears fine, clean linen representing the righteous acts of God's holy people.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Revelation twenty one, nine through ten.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: The new Jerusalem is metaphorically described as the bride, the wife of the Lamb, symbolizing the final, glorious dwelling place of God united completely with his redeemed people.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: The main characteristics of the bride spiritual unity.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: It includes all believers everywhere, joined together as one unified body under Christ as the head.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Purity through Christ.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Believers are made clean and holy, not by their own perfection, but through the sacrifice and grace of Jesus Christ.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Faithful expectation the church eagerly awaits the return of Jesus to fully consummate this eternal relationship.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that discuss the bride of Christ are as follows.

- 4:38SPEAKER_00: Hosea two nineteen through twenty expresses a lasting betrothal in righteousness, justice, love, compassion, and faithfulness.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Our next word Book of Life.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: The Book of Life is a divine record or registry kept by God that contains the names of all the individuals destined for eternal life and fellowship with him.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Definition it is a heavenly roll call or ledger of the redeemed, those who belong to God and have received salvation.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: The Lamb's Book of Life.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: In the New Testament it is also called the Lamb's Book of Life, signifying that the names inside belong to those redeemed by the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Purpose at the final judgment, the great white throne judgment, this book determines a person's eternal destiny.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Anyone whose name is absent from the book is separated from God for all of eternity.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Old and New Testaments The concept spans the entire Bible, appearing in early references like Moses pleading with God in Exodus thirty two, thirty two through thirty three and carrying through to the book of Revelation, such as Revelation twenty fifteen.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Assurance for believers, Scripture teaches that having one's name written in the book provides eternal security and assurance of salvation.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Variations of the use of the term book of life.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: In Christian theology and biblical studies, there are three main variations or expressions used to describe the divine registry related to life.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: While most theologians view these variations as referencing to the same overarching concept, God's perfect memory and record of mankind, different phrasing is used throughout Scripture.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: The Book of the Living, the Scripture mainly found in the Old Testament, such as Psalms sixty nine twenty eight, may they be blotted out of the book of the living, and it is also referenced to as My Book by God in Exodus thirty two thirty two through thirty three.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Many scholars interpret this variation as a record of everyone who possesses physical, temporal life on earth.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: In ancient times, towns kept registries of living citizens.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: When a person died, their name was blotted out.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: The Book of Life The Scripture appears primarily in the New Testament, including Philippians four three and several times in the book of Revelation Revelation three five, chapter twenty verse twelve, and verse fifteen.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: The meaning this refers to a heavenly register containing the names of those who are chosen for eternal salvation and will live with God forever.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: The Lamb's Book of Life Scripture appears exclusively in the book of Revelation, that is chapter thirteen eight and chapter twenty one verse twenty seven.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: The meaning this variation specifically links the register to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: It lists those who have been redeemed by his sacrifice.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: Evangelical scholars largely agree that the Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life are the same book, simply given an alternate title to highlight Christ's role in salvation.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: A famous textual translation variant Revelation twenty two nineteen.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Aside from theological variations, there is a famous manuscript translation variant concerning this topic.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: In Revelation twenty two nineteen, the King James Version states that God will take away an unfaithful person's part from the book of life.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: However, modern English translations like the ESV, NASB, and NIV render this phrase as the tree of life.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: This variation occurs because of the sixteenth century scholar Aramis lacked a Greek manuscript for the final verses of Revelation while compiling his text.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: He translated them back into the Greek from the Latin Vulgate, which accidentally used the Latin word for book instead of tree.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that discuss the book of life are as follows Exodus thirty two, thirty one through thirty three.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Moses asked God to forgive the Israelites and says, If not, please blot me out from your book, which you have written.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: The Lord replies that whoever sins against him will be blotted out of his book.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: Psalm sixty nine twenty eight.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: It's a prayer asking the unrighteous people be blotted out of the book of life and not be recorded with the righteous.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Daniel twelve one mentions that God's people will be delivered during a time of distress, specifically everyone whose name is found written in the book.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Some New Testament scriptures, Philippians four three, Paul speaks of his fellow workers whose names are in the book of life.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Revelation three five, Jesus promised that those who will come will not blot out his name from the book of life.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Revelation thirteen eight and seventeen eight refer to the Lamb's book of life, which contains the names of the redeemed written from the foundation of the world.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Revelation twenty twelve and fifteen describes the final judgment where the dead are judged and anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire, and Revelation twenty one twenty seven states that only those written in the Lamb's book of life will enter the new Jerusalem.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Our next word bottomless pit.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: The bottomless pit in the Bible translates from the Greek word abusos, meaning an unfathomable depth, abyss, or vast, limitless space.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: The Bible meaning and usage, the abyss.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: The term appears primarily in the book of Revelation and Luke eight thirty one, where it represents a secure holding place or prison for wicked spirits, demons, and fallen angels.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Demon confinement.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Demons recognize the abyss as a place of torment, and in fact beg Jesus not to send them there prematurely.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: Luke eight thirty one.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Satan's imprisonment Revelation twenty one three describes an angel locking Satan in the bottomless pit for a thousand years, so that he cannot deceive the nations.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: This is going to take place in the millennial reign.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Connection to creation the same root word abyss is used in the Greek Old Testament in Genesis one two to describe the dark, formless, and chaotic deep before God brought order to the earth.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that discuss bottomless pit are as follows.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Revelation nine one, a fallen star, that is an angel, is given the key to the bottomless pit.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Revelation nine two, the pit is opened, and smoke darkens the sun and air like a giant furnace.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Revelation nine hundred eleven, an angel or king of the abyss emerges, named Abaddon, which is Hebrew, or Apollyon, which is Greek, meaning destroyer.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Revelation eleven seven.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: The beast rises from the bottomless pit to make war against the two witnesses.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Revelation seventeen eight, the beast that was and is not, will ascend from the bottomless pit and go into destruction.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Revelation twenty one.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: An angel comes down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Revelation twenty three, Satan is thrown into the pit, which is then shut and sealed for a thousand years.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: Related passages Luke eight thirty one demons beg Jesus not to command them to go out into the abyss.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Our next word bowls of wrath.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: The bowls of wrath, also called vials, are the seven final decisive plagues of divine judgment poured up by angels upon an unrepentant world during the end times, as recorded in Revelation sixteen.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: The definition of meetings, the final outpouring, scripture describes them as the seven last plagues, because with them God's righteous anger and judgment against persistent evil are completed.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: Targeted retribution.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Unlike the earlier trumpet judgments, which served as partial warnings to call humanity to repentance, the bowls represent unmixed final judgment directed specifically at the unrepentant followers of the Antichrist and those who bear the mark of the beast.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: The Greek word used is philias, meaning wide shallow bowls or cups traditionally used for pouring out liquid offerings or libations, symbolizing God pouring out the full measure of his justice onto the earth.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: The seven plagues, the first bowl, painful festering sores, afflict those bearing the mark of the beast.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: The second bowl, the sea turns to blood like that of a dead person, and all marine life dies.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: The third bowl, rivers and springs of water turn to blood.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: The fourth bowl, the sun scorches humanity with intense blazing heat.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: The fifth bowl, darkness covers the throne and kingdom of the beast.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: The sixth bowl, the Euphrates river dries up to prepare the way for the kings of the east, leading toward Armageddon.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: And the seventh bowl, a massive global earthquake, severe thunder, lightning, and giant hailstones strike, accompanied by the declaration, it is done.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Those hailstones are supposed to weigh about seventy five pounds, by the way.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: So some scriptures that discuss the bowls of wrath are as follows.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Revelation fifteen seven, one of the four living creatures, gives seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God to the seven angels.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: Revelation sixteen one, a loud voice from the temple tells the seven angels to go and pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: Revelation sixteen two through twenty one details each of the seven bowl plagues affecting the earth, sea, rivers, sun, the beast's throne, the Euphrates River, and the air.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Related to Old Testament imagery, the concept of God pouring out wrath from a vessel draws on earlier prophetic imagery of a cup of wrath, Psalm seventy five eight, mentions a cup of God's wrath in the hands of the Lord, containing foaming mixed wine that the wicked must drink.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Jeremiah twenty five fifteen through sixteen, God commands Jeremiah to take the cup of the wine of wrath and make all the nations drink it.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Our next word caught up Chileism.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: The phrase caught up and then the term Chileism refers to two distinct theological events in Christian eschatology, that is the end time studies.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: When discussed together, they describe the event where living believers are physically gathered into the air, that is the rapture, to meet Jesus Christ right before he establishes a literal one thousand year earthly kingdom.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: Chileism.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: The meaning of caught up, also known as the rapture.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: The biblical definition of being caught up comes directly from first Thessalonians four seventeen.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: The original Greek word used by the apostle Paul is harpazo, which literally means to seize by force, snatch away, or carry off suddenly.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: The Latin connection, when the Bible was translated into Latin, harpazo became raptoro, which is where the modern English word rapture originates.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: The meaning of Chileism, the millennium.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Chileism is the ancient historic name for premillennialism.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: It is derived from the Greek word Chileo, which means one thousand.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I know I'm mispronouncing a lot of Greek words, but bear with me.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: The biblical basis it is rooted in a literal interpretation of Revelation twenty one through seven, which repeatedly mentions a thousand year period.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: The definition Chileism is a theological doctrine that when Jesus Christ returns, he will defeat the Antichrist, bind Satan, and establish a physical, visible kingdom on our current earth, where the resurrected saints will rule with him in peace and justice for a literal thousand years before the final judgment.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: This is how they connect in prophetic timelines.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: While caught up is the action of believers being gathered, Chileism is a destination era they eventually rule in, depending on different theological systems, they intertwine in a few ways.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Historic Chileism, believers endure the tribulation, are caught up, harpazo, to meet Jesus in the air as he descends, and immediately return to earth with him to begin the one thousand year kingdom reign.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: Dispensational Chileism, believers are caught up to heaven in a secret rapture before the tribulation period.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: After seven years they return with Christ to initiate the thousand year kingdom, a millennialism or orthodox.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: These views spiritualize the one thousand years asserting that Chileism is an error.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: They believe being caught up happens at the very end of time, leading instantly into eternity rather than an earthly kingdom.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: And just so you know, I teach on the dispensational Chileism, which means that we are going to get raptured before the last fourteen judgments of God.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that discuss caught up are as follows.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Caught up refers directly to the rapture.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: The term comes from the Greek word harpazo, to snatch or seize by force, which was translated into the Latin Vulgate as rapimur, giving us the English word rapture.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Anchilaism, derived from the Greek word meaning a thousand, is the historical term for premillennialism.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: It is a belief that Jesus Christ will return to earth to establish a literal, physical one thousand year kingdom.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: In end time theology, caught up refers to the belief system where believers are raptured in conjunction with Christ's return to establish his one thousand year earthly reign.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: The primary scriptures that discuss these two core concepts include first Thessalonians four, sixteen through seventeen.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up, together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: The significance this is the most direct scriptural resource for the gathering of the church.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Corinthians fifteen fifty one through fifty two.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Listen, I tell you a mystery, we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: The significance this details a biological mechanism of the caught up event, where corruptible physical bodies are instantly transformed into immortal ones fit for eternity in the kingdom.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Regarding the thousand year kingdom, Revelation twenty one through six He bounds him for a thousand years, that came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: This is the first resurrection.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: The significance this is the foundation of Chileism.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: It explicitly states six times that Christ's kingdom will endure for a specific thousand year duration on earth before the creation of the final new heaven and new earth.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Isaiah sixty five, seventeen through twenty five and Zechariah fourteen nine.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: These are the prophets' vision of the kingdom.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: The Lord will be king over the whole earth.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: On that day there will be one Lord and his name the only name Zechariah fourteen nine.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: The significance early Jelaist relied heavily on Old Testament prophecies describing a physical era where the curse on the earth is partially lifted, lifespans is vastly extended, and wild animals live in peace.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Conditions that fit a literal earthly millennial rather than a final eternal state.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: The early church fathers like Irenius, a disciple of Polycarp, who was a disciple of the apostle John, and Hippolius of Rome directly synthesized these texts.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: They taught that after the final Antichrist rules the earth, Christ will descend, believers will be caught up into the air to meet him.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: The wicked will be judged, and Christ will instantly establish the Chileastic Kingdom on earth with his resurrected saints.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: The Church Age, our next word.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: The Church Age is a theological term for the present era in Christian history when God is building a universal body of believers, spanning from the day of Pentecost until the rapture.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: While the exact phrase church age does not literally appear in Scripture, the concept describes a clear period taught throughout the New Testament.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Some of the characteristics the body of Christ.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: The church is defined not as a building or denomination, but as all people worldwide who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Ephesians one twenty two through twenty three.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Unlike previous eras in the Old Testament, where the Holy Spirit came upon individuals temporarily, the church age is marked by the Holy Spirit permanently living inside every believer.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: Jesus initiated this error's mission when he told his followers to make disciples of all nations Matthew twenty eight, nineteen through twenty, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies that salvation would extend beyond Israel to the entire world.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Isaiah forty two six seven.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Timeline and boundaries The beginning The Church Age officially began on the day of Pentecost in Acts two, following the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on believers.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: The end most theologians who use this framework believe the church age will conclude with the rapture, when living and dead believers are taken up to heaven before a future period of tribulation on earth.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Corinthians fifteen fifty one through fifty seven, first Thessalonians four, thirteen through eighteen.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that talk about the church age Matthew sixteen eighteen.

- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Corinthians twelve thirteen explains how the Holy Spirit baptizes all believers into one single body, true or gentile.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: Our next sentence Daniel's seventieth week is the final seven year period of a four hundred and ninety year prophetic timeline outlined in Daniel nine, twenty four through twenty seven.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: The four hundred and ninety years in Daniel nine twenty four, the angel Gabriel tells Daniel that seventy weeks literally seventy sevens of years are decreed for Israel.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: This equals four hundred ninety years.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: The divisions the timeline is split into three parts seven weeks, which is forty nine years to rebuild Jerusalem, sixty two weeks this is four hundred and thirty four years leading up to the Messiah and a final one week, which is seven years.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: The first sixty nine weeks four hundred and eighty three years passed from the decree to build Jerusalem until the Messiah, Jesus Christ, was crucified or cut off.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: Definition of the seventieth week the final seven years the seventieth week is the last remaining seven years block of the four hundred ninety year prophecy.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: The tribulation period most Bible scholars particularly in premillennial views view this final week as a future seven year period commonly known as the tribulation The covenant in desolation Daniel nine twenty seven states that a coming ruler, the Antichrist, will make a strong covenant with many for one seven, that is seven years, but in the middle of that week after three and a half years, which is the first three and a half years of the tribulation, he will put a stop to sacrifice and offerings and set up an abomination of desolation in the temple, and he will do that in the last three and a half years of the tribulation The Gap Many traditions teach that a church age or prophetic pause occurs between the sixty ninth and seventieth weeks, leaving this final seven year period yet to be fulfilled before Christ's physical return.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Some of the scriptures that discuss Daniel's seventieth week are as follows Daniel nine twenty seven The primary text introduces the final seven, one week of years or seven years.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: It states that a coming ruler, the prince who is to come, will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week after three and a half years he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering and set up an abomination of desolation.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: Daniel seven twenty five describes the actions of a little horn, the Antichrist, who speaks against the Most High, oppresses the saints, and intends to change times and law for a time, times and half a time, that is three and a half years, matching the second half of the seventieth week.
