- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Conspiracy the Show with your hosts, Adam Todd
- 0:16Speaker 2: Brown and Connor mix Patting.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Brown, I'm Connor Mack's bad.
- 0:37Speaker 1: We are your goddamn hosts.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Yep, steering you through the storm.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yeah, the storm that depending on your interpretation of the storm.
- 0:46Speaker 1: If you're one of those QAnon types, maybe you think
- 0:48Speaker 1: we are literally.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, what is the storm?
- 0:50Speaker 3: What do they think that?
- 0:51Speaker 1: What's the storm?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Code word for in qan on Land.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It's it's this operation that's supposed to happen where a
- 0:57Speaker 1: bunch of people on the left are going to get
- 0:59Speaker 1: round up for being operatives of Russia and pedophiles and
- 1:04Speaker 1: just international criminals.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 1:07Speaker 2: It's like Order sixty six and Star Wars, but for
- 1:10Speaker 2: like right liberals.
- 1:11Speaker 1: But it and it's Donald Trump working in tandem with
- 1:14Speaker 1: the Muller Probe. Whoa, and like that's the real aim.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Some of the best shit on the Internet is like
- 1:19Speaker 2: just Facebook accounts of people like yeah, my life, my
- 1:22Speaker 2: wife left because of c But I mean that's not
- 1:25Speaker 2: gonna stop me from gay to the truth. All right,
- 1:28Speaker 2: It's all I have it's all I need, Like, just
- 1:30Speaker 2: people that have thrown their lives away by just believing
- 1:33Speaker 2: way too hard in this forging guy.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the There's a an aspect of that called
- 1:38Speaker 1: ten days of Darkness where I don't know what it's
- 1:41Speaker 1: exactly supposed to be, but some sort of silence that happens.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And then all these arrests, and when the government shut
- 1:48Speaker 1: down started, people were like, is this it?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Is it the storm?
- 1:52Speaker 1: And it's been thirty days now, so well.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I mean it's a slow moving cold front, but it's coming.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It's in daw days. Yeah, that wouldn't I don't know
- 2:02Speaker 1: if that math would work. It doesn't matter, No, it doesn't. Hey,
- 2:05Speaker 1: what are we mind talking about today?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Shit? The nicely I'm intimidated it even right, Yeah, I know.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Pulling out, pulling out the my closer.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That's like when you're doing class projects and the kid
- 2:20Speaker 2: before you crushed it so hard, you like, I kind
- 2:22Speaker 2: of just phoned in this whole thing about frog and toad.
- 2:24Speaker 3: What if they had a bicycle shop together? Fuck?
- 2:27Speaker 1: That was me every time, because I went to a
- 2:29Speaker 1: school where kids were just starting to get computers. Oh yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 1: so there would always be that one fuck stick who
- 2:35Speaker 1: had a printer and his shit looked all professional.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah it was this fucking Peggy Hill Macintosh back at home. Yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 2: I uh that was when I that's when I officially
- 2:43Speaker 2: dropped out of community college to become a stand up comedy.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And I had the geology of the Solar system class
- 2:48Speaker 2: and we had to do a presentation and I we
- 2:50Speaker 2: really just my group just didn't fucking do it, you know.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Uh So this guy just says, all right.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I know it's gonna make this presentation good and these
- 2:58Speaker 2: are just dumb community call guys two and three, you know,
- 3:02Speaker 2: And he just goes presentation background music. I've got my
- 3:05Speaker 2: phone in this Bluetooth speaker, so we'll play it underneath
- 3:08Speaker 2: this the whole time to make it more compelling. And
- 3:10Speaker 2: I said, that's the best we got, you do it,
- 3:12Speaker 2: And then I improvised this whole story about going to
- 3:15Speaker 2: the launch pad and going out and you know yeah,
- 3:19Speaker 2: and we ended up getting like an A plus. And
- 3:21Speaker 2: I'm like, why am I not being with charlotteanizing on
- 3:24Speaker 2: a more organized professional level. This is not the place
- 3:27Speaker 2: for me. I mean, I pulled it off, but I'm
- 3:29Speaker 2: wasting my talents here.
- 3:30Speaker 1: That I on last one of the Daily Podcast episodes
- 3:34Speaker 1: last week, I told a similar story about how, like
- 3:38Speaker 1: the first time I knew I could write and that
- 3:40Speaker 1: I could maybe just write for a living, I was
- 3:43Speaker 1: in eighth grade and I had to do a book
- 3:46Speaker 1: report about Martin Luther King Junior. And I did not
- 3:50Speaker 1: read the book, but I was like, I'm in eighth grade.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I know enough about Martin Luther King Junior that I
- 3:55Speaker 1: can write five hundred words about it. Yeah, And this
- 3:58Speaker 1: teacher's not going to go back and read the book
- 4:00Speaker 1: make sure I'm not just making this shit up. No,
- 4:02Speaker 1: And I got an a on that.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, cause she's like, oh, he's just pulling out
- 4:05Speaker 2: of details no one else even got. And You're like,
- 4:07Speaker 2: because I made those up, you stupid bitch at you
- 4:09Speaker 2: like that?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it was pretty great. So where this week is
- 4:12Speaker 1: kind of a continuation of last week. Last week we
- 4:15Speaker 1: talked about the Phoenix Project and the Philadelphia Experiment, especially.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and the all offshoots of Project Rainbow and weird
- 4:25Speaker 2: government like battleship naval invisibility technology. Yeah, and the alleged
- 4:31Speaker 2: of phasing in and out of the universe, the crazy
- 4:33Speaker 2: side effects the teleportation the crew members catching on fire
- 4:37Speaker 2: for eighteen hours, eighteen days, eighteen days. Oh yeah, I
- 4:40Speaker 2: forget silly me.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no ability to put the fire out.
- 4:45Speaker 3: What a weird amount of time.
- 4:46Speaker 2: If you were like really, you were like three days
- 4:48Speaker 2: or six months, I'd be okay, But I mean just
- 4:50Speaker 2: eighteen days Yeah, of hearing fire.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Eighteen days of fire. Yeah, coming soon from the people
- 4:57Speaker 1: who brought you QAnon.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Yeah, days of the new Adam Sandler Conspiracy Vehicle gets
- 5:04Speaker 2: a DUI and a UFO.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I'd watched that shit.
- 5:08Speaker 3: That's an eight Crazy Nights is actually a pretty good movie.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. So when we left off the Phoenix
- 5:14Speaker 1: Project in Project Rainbow, which was the project behind the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Philadelphia Experiment, they had teamed up to try and figure
- 5:22Speaker 1: out why the Philadelphia Experiment went so wrong. Yeah, and
- 5:26Speaker 1: to give people who are listening for free, we love
- 5:29Speaker 1: you anyway, just some background. If you didn't hear the
- 5:31Speaker 1: last episode, which you fucking better not have if you're
- 5:35Speaker 1: not paying.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you better not better not be pirrating.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, if you did tell us where home.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Taping is killing the record industry.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Okay, home fucking is killing the porn industry.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That's a good bumper sticker. We gotta go back in
- 5:49Speaker 2: time and get in on that dollar. That's what I'm
- 5:51Speaker 2: gonna do. If I get the Moon Talk project, I'm like,
- 5:54Speaker 2: take me back where Milwaukee nineteen seventy eight. I've got
- 5:58Speaker 2: one thousand dollars to make.
- 6:01Speaker 1: There's a lot of money in seventy Oh yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Dude, I could buy myself a whole fucking big ass
- 6:05Speaker 2: boat of a car, you know.
- 6:06Speaker 1: To paige your rent for a year.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Probably it probably could have you know, have gotten a
- 6:10Speaker 2: you know, some sort of a leisure suits.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I guess those were huge back there.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Then for a good reason.
- 6:17Speaker 2: They were good as shit.
- 6:18Speaker 1: So this project they had figured out, allegedly by nineteen
- 6:23Speaker 1: sixty seven, what went wrong with the Philadelphia experiment and
- 6:27Speaker 1: how to fix it, and they go to Congress because
- 6:29Speaker 1: the I should run through a little bit of that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: The Philadelphia experiment, they were trying to make a ship invisible,
- 6:35Speaker 1: the USS Eldridge, and allegedly they made it invisible, but
- 6:39Speaker 1: it also teleported to Virginia for a while, came back
- 6:44Speaker 1: there were dudes embedded in the walls. Yeah, big fiasco.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And what's like the most unbelievable part is that it
- 6:49Speaker 2: would just teleport to another body of water somewhere, like
- 6:53Speaker 2: it would like if it really just teleported randomly, they'd
- 6:56Speaker 2: probably phase you into a black hole somewhere, you know, downtown.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, how fucking like if you just like Watchman's battleship.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Dropped, that would be pretty fucking exciting.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah. So they figure all of these glitches out, allegedly
- 7:10Speaker 1: and go to Congress and they're like, hey, we figured
- 7:13Speaker 1: it out, let's uh, let's keep working on this, and Congress,
- 7:17Speaker 1: knowing what happened with the Philadelphia experiment, said no, they
- 7:20Speaker 1: refused to fund it any further.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So the people who had done all this work coming
- 7:26Speaker 1: up with basically a device that can control weather and
- 7:30Speaker 1: moods at the same time. Yeah, that was the culmination
- 7:33Speaker 1: of all this. The government tells them no, shuts them down,
- 7:36Speaker 1: as the government does.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I was about to say, none of this sounds like
- 7:39Speaker 2: anything that would happen in this situation, like you know,
- 7:43Speaker 2: the black budget researcher trying to refine his dangerous idea. Ah,
- 7:48Speaker 2: Congress going, WHOA, sounds a little bit too gnarly for
- 7:51Speaker 2: our blood. A very very.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Dubious, right, very very dubious.
- 7:57Speaker 1: And so that's what leads us to the Montalk Project, Yes,
- 8:02Speaker 1: which is a conspiracy theory that alleges there were a
- 8:05Speaker 1: series of secret US government projects conducted at Camp Hero
- 8:10Speaker 1: or Montalk Air Force Station on Montalk, Long Island.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Most unbelievable part is any sort of technology in Long Island. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 2: that part is crazy, a little bit out there, because
- 8:20Speaker 2: I feel like they don't get any further than a
- 8:22Speaker 2: zoltar from Big Machine.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:25Speaker 2: That's their like, that's their God.
- 8:26Speaker 1: At least it's not like Staten Island. That would be weirder.
- 8:29Speaker 3: That would be weirder.
- 8:31Speaker 1: And the purpose was to develop psychological warfare techniques and
- 8:35Speaker 1: research involving time travel. Montalk is the basis allegedly for
- 8:41Speaker 1: the Netflix series Stranger Things.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and I have not seen.
- 8:45Speaker 1: The working title was mon Talk. If they had kept
- 8:47Speaker 1: it as mon Talk, I might have watched it.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I thought Montalk was at Jamaican AM radio show.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Welcome back to Monto Montalk Today. On this show, I
- 9:01Speaker 1: would listen to mon Talk.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Yeah, mon Talk Radio.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That would be a pretty good name for a conspiracy podcast.
- 9:08Speaker 2: There are probably a few more scrolls down from us
- 9:10Speaker 2: on the up Rocks Best Conspiracy Podcast article.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Right now, which we did not read except past the
- 9:15Speaker 1: first except which has an adorable picture of Connor with
- 9:18Speaker 1: my dog Win.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah. Nice picture of me in winter when I had
- 9:21Speaker 3: my weird mohawk. Yeah, it's good.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Appropriately, there is a fan sitting next to you trying
- 9:25Speaker 1: to build a computer.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I remember that while I help and do nothing.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yeah, none of us help.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We've been coronated by the Kings. Everybody.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So the story of the mon Talk project, and this
- 9:38Speaker 1: is what makes it so suspicious. I kind of mentioned
- 9:41Speaker 1: this last time. Is a lot of the things alleged
- 9:45Speaker 1: to be happening or that did happen on mon Talk
- 9:49Speaker 1: in Long Island. It comes from the mon Talk Project
- 9:53Speaker 1: book series by Preston Nichols, and Nichols claims to have
- 9:56Speaker 1: recovered repressed memories of his involvement in experiments mon talk
- 10:00Speaker 1: and claims he is periodically abducted to continue his participation
- 10:06Speaker 1: against his will. Immediate problem. The publisher of these books,
- 10:10Speaker 1: which is SKYBOOKSUSA.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Dot com sounds legit.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Their tagline where science fiction meets reality.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, I like that. Yeah, this is
- 10:21Speaker 2: the sources are repressed memories. So you open up the
- 10:23Speaker 2: index and it's just like page eighty six, the interdimensional
- 10:28Speaker 2: Cthulhu that came from the nightmare I had after I
- 10:33Speaker 2: ate all that mustard before bad.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, not the most reliable source, I don't. I feel
- 10:39Speaker 1: like the Philadelphia Experiment in general, there's a lot of
- 10:42Speaker 1: I don't believe most of it.
- 10:43Speaker 2: You know, it's cool. I think it just stuck because
- 10:45Speaker 2: it's so cool. Sound like all the shit that happens
- 10:48Speaker 2: is so cool. We're like just a fun one. We
- 10:51Speaker 2: don't need any sources.
- 10:53Speaker 1: And it sounds great. Name the Philadelphia Experiment.
- 10:57Speaker 2: It's is vague where it could be anything. Yeahmulate what
- 11:00Speaker 2: is what are they doing in Philly? Are they putting
- 11:02Speaker 2: lazed potato chips and the cheese steaks?
- 11:04Speaker 1: I gotta know. I don't know if I saw that
- 11:07Speaker 1: movie when I was a kid. Probably not. I just
- 11:09Speaker 1: remember because it came out in eighty four.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I was yeah, you eight, right.
- 11:12Speaker 1: So I remember hearing it, and I've always been familiar
- 11:16Speaker 1: with the name the Philadelphia Experiment.
- 11:18Speaker 2: No, I knew not about Montalk. I didn't really know
- 11:21Speaker 2: about the precursors to it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You know, where I first heard of Montalk.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I was like that kid at the mall with the
- 11:25Speaker 2: green day shirt. It couldn't sing a Ramone song. You know,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I wasn't. I didn't have a fully balanced conspiracy diet
- 11:32Speaker 2: as a young man.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You know, where I first heard of mon Talk was
- 11:37Speaker 1: the What's the Jim Carry Eternal Sunshine of the Spot was.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Oh yes, yeah, yeah, what a great movie.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, one of my favorite movies. But they talk
- 11:46Speaker 1: about mom Talk in a very different way.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm seen. That was also a
- 11:50Speaker 2: very good jail electronica mixtape where he wraps over the score.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Oh really, yeah, that was his first project. Is very
- 11:55Speaker 2: it's haunting. I want to hear someone be really good
- 11:59Speaker 2: at something and reallysane. Go listen to that and get sad.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So yeah. They present this stuff in the Montauk Project
- 12:06Speaker 1: book series as yeah, maybe it's real, maybe it's not.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You decide. They've never officially said the books are fact
- 12:14Speaker 1: or fiction. Sidebar. Are you familiar with the found footage
- 12:17Speaker 1: movie UFO Abduction?
- 12:19Speaker 3: I'm not.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It is it's probably the first found footage movie. It
- 12:23Speaker 1: came out in the late eighties, okay, and it is
- 12:28Speaker 1: just like a video like eighties video camera footage of
- 12:33Speaker 1: a girl's birthday party and then oh god, and then
- 12:37Speaker 1: they start seeing like lights flashing out in the woods
- 12:41Speaker 1: and then the last scene aliens walk in. And one
- 12:45Speaker 1: of the conspiracy theories around the time this came out
- 12:49Speaker 1: was that it wasn't it was actual found footage where
- 12:53Speaker 1: it was footage of an actual UFO abduction, and when
- 12:57Speaker 1: it got posted to the Internet, the government was like, no,
- 13:01Speaker 1: it's a movie. Yeah, it's if we're gonna release it
- 13:03Speaker 1: as a movie.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Crazy movie.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And that's like that.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Cannibal is a movie that was so real looking. The
- 13:10Speaker 2: people got arrested and they're like, no, we're just we
- 13:13Speaker 2: just got good at special effects. You asked, whole what
- 13:15Speaker 2: the hell?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Cannibal Holocaust, I.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Think, yeah, I have not I'm way too squeamish. You
- 13:19Speaker 2: can watch it, but uh.
- 13:20Speaker 1: I've never seen it. UFO Abduction you could watch, but
- 13:24Speaker 1: I don't know why you would. It's a terrible movie.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah it's boring.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very boring.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I'll stick with my elvis getting into a golf cart
- 13:30Speaker 2: from far Away clips, thank you very much.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So, yeah, this is kind of along the same lines
- 13:37Speaker 1: as UFO abduction, where it's a thing that has been
- 13:40Speaker 1: presented as not real, but people are still like, yeah,
- 13:43Speaker 1: maybe it is.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 1: So the book claims that the mon Talk project is
- 13:48Speaker 1: an extension of the Philadelphia Experiment, which we talked about
- 13:53Speaker 1: on the last episode, and that's how these two things
- 13:56Speaker 1: tie together. Eventually they they come to get other as
- 14:00Speaker 1: Project Phoenix two. We talked about Project Phoenix a lot
- 14:04Speaker 1: on the Philadelphia Experiment episode, and basically, when Project Phoenix
- 14:10Speaker 1: went to Congress to get funding and Congress said no,
- 14:14Speaker 1: the next move was to kind of bypass Congress and
- 14:18Speaker 1: go directly to the military, yeah, and.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Say, hey, you got that prescription pad.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And the military was all for it because this was yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 1: can you believe it? No way, And they bypassed Congress.
- 14:32Speaker 1: They pitched the military military officials directly, and the military
- 14:36Speaker 1: agrees to set Project Phoenix up in a secluded area
- 14:40Speaker 1: to conduct their research and to provide the equipment and
- 14:44Speaker 1: personnel needed to keep operating. And the location they settled on,
- 14:48Speaker 1: Montalk Air Force Base, located within Fort Hero on Montalk
- 14:52Speaker 1: Point Long Island, was isolated. It was out of use
- 14:56Speaker 1: at the time, and it was fitted with a Sage
- 14:59Speaker 1: radar system which the radio signals. I'm sure everyone already
- 15:04Speaker 1: knows this. The radio signals required to get inside the
- 15:08Speaker 1: human consciousness operate on the four twenty five to four
- 15:11Speaker 1: hundred and fifty megahertz range, and so does the Sage radar.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So that's the defrost chicken setting on the microwave exactly.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It's the pizza button.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's what I call the fat clits.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And what this meant is because the Sage radar was
- 15:28Speaker 1: already there but was an obsolete piece of military equipment,
- 15:32Speaker 1: they could use it. No one would wonder why. Yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 2: It was like if you know, someone was like, OK,
- 15:36Speaker 2: going to use this typewriter and they're go, oh, I
- 15:38Speaker 2: don't give a shit, and you know, like ha ha,
- 15:39Speaker 2: it's actually for demons.
- 15:41Speaker 1: He and so they they basically, as the story goes,
- 15:46Speaker 1: convert this Sage radar into a big radio sound which
- 15:50Speaker 1: we talked about last episode also, yeah, which is a
- 15:54Speaker 1: device that is alleged to be able to send good
- 15:57Speaker 1: and bad oregone energy to control weather and control moveds.
- 16:02Speaker 3: To test the coil for magic oregone energy.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Right, yeah. So they get all this set up on
- 16:08Speaker 1: montalk and the project takes on a new name, Phoenix two,
- 16:13Speaker 1: which sure that's a good sequel name. Yeah, what pretty
- 16:16Speaker 1: buy the book.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I mean they did.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I mean they had to go to the military, so
- 16:19Speaker 2: there were some budget cuts and that went to the
- 16:20Speaker 2: naming guy.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Yeah. The way they got the money is one of
- 16:25Speaker 1: the craziest allegations in this story. Basically, it's alleged that
- 16:31Speaker 1: at one point during World War Two, we were transporting
- 16:35Speaker 1: Nazi gold that we had taken by train through France
- 16:40Speaker 1: and someone blew up that train, killed fifty one American
- 16:44Speaker 1: servicemen and made off with that gold.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:48Speaker 2: And it's like that the Northern California armored truck robbery
- 16:52Speaker 2: that the Nazis got all that funding from.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I don't know if I've ever heard of that.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there was like some big armor truck robbery
- 16:57Speaker 2: by some White Power organization in you know, North Cow,
- 17:00Speaker 2: like back in like the nineties, and then they I
- 17:02Speaker 2: forget all the details, but they just that basically like
- 17:05Speaker 2: funded the White Power underground gang network because they had
- 17:08Speaker 2: you know, four million dollars liquid capital or whatever.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah. People always, I think people tend to discount crime
- 17:14Speaker 1: when it comes into how certain entities make money. I
- 17:17Speaker 1: was reading a thing the other day about North Korea.
- 17:20Speaker 1: They have stolen something like five hundred and seventy million
- 17:23Speaker 1: dollars in cryptocurrency over the past five years.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they just got like a little boiler room
- 17:28Speaker 2: full of people trying to find a abandoned ethereum wallets
- 17:31Speaker 2: and just you know, rate to let you end.
- 17:33Speaker 1: They they just tricked a guy in Chile into basically
- 17:37Speaker 1: giving them access to that entire country's ATM network because
- 17:42Speaker 1: he thought he was doing a job interview and they
- 17:45Speaker 1: were like, download the software on your computer. That's how
- 17:48Speaker 1: we send you the application. It was literally called application
- 17:51Speaker 1: pdf dot exe. And he was like all right, and wow, malware.
- 17:56Speaker 1: That just gave them access to the entire computer.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Their final name is like a while coyote tunnel painted
- 18:01Speaker 2: on rock. Yeah, what do you think was gonna happen? Nothing?
- 18:05Speaker 2: Does see?
- 18:05Speaker 3: Hear flowers dot you know.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And on his computer, his work computer.
- 18:09Speaker 2: No less, Oh of course, well you got it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: You take that to an internet cafe.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, go play. Well, also, you're applying for jobs on
- 18:15Speaker 2: the job. That's not exactly great.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So yeah. One of the allegations is that we're the
- 18:21Speaker 1: ones who blew up that train because we wanted that gold,
- 18:25Speaker 1: but we couldn't just take.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It, no, because it's supposed to. You know, there's channels
- 18:29Speaker 2: for houts distributed through Interpol or whatever.
- 18:32Speaker 1: So we we wanted it, so we blew up the
- 18:34Speaker 1: train and we took the gold.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's pretty pretty easy.
- 18:37Speaker 1: And that Nazi gold is what funded project mom Talk.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Wow, well that's what brought in all that negative orgon energy.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I gotta figure.
- 18:45Speaker 1: What I don't like about this theory is that means
- 18:47Speaker 1: we held onto that Nazi gold for like twenty years.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we're just like we're saving this for when
- 18:52Speaker 2: we really need some fucking secret money, you know.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And yeah, I don't think the government works that way.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I feel like we would have spent that shit almost
- 18:59Speaker 1: right away.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I'm thinking of my new Great Conspiracy the show character. Ha,
- 19:03Speaker 2: this is Hugh Houser with Nazi goals. So you burn people?
- 19:10Speaker 1: How does that work? So yeah, that's one of the allegations.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And then also the Krupp family, which is a German
- 19:20Speaker 1: family that made munitions and weapons during World War Two.
- 19:23Speaker 1: They're still in business making all sorts of shit.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Now what's this company again, Crup, Oh that's right, yeah, yeah, Crup.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Which I thought made coffee, but that's obviously a different.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Well, it's one of these thing where like during World
- 19:35Speaker 2: War Two, like IBM made machine guns. You know, it's
- 19:38Speaker 2: like there's a bunch of weird shit like that.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yeah. And after the Nazi gold money ran out, it's
- 19:43Speaker 1: allegedly the Krupp family that kept this going because this
- 19:47Speaker 1: starts Project mon Talk starts in nineteen sixty nine and.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Krupp Family's the one. They all look like Eddie Murphy. Yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 2: meet the crups.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yes, and it ends in nineteen eighty three with a crazy,
- 20:00Speaker 1: crazy experiment that rips a hole in time. Yeah, or
- 20:04Speaker 1: even the you remember when that happened, right, coort check
- 20:06Speaker 1: and McNuggets came out, Yes, yes, how we got.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Them between Robocops one and two, there was.
- 20:12Speaker 1: So let's talk about some of the experiments they allegedly ran. First,
- 20:17Speaker 1: they brought in various military and civilian personnel to work
- 20:22Speaker 1: on the project, a lot of them familiar with the
- 20:24Speaker 1: Sage radar system.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, the outdated technology used as the base for the
- 20:29Speaker 2: whole Oregone blasting exactly.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And early in the project it was noted that the
- 20:34Speaker 1: general mood on the base would change according to the
- 20:37Speaker 1: frequency and pulse duration of the radar system.
- 20:41Speaker 3: They were cycling and I've.
- 20:43Speaker 1: In reading through this, I was like, how did they
- 20:46Speaker 1: test that?
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah? Like everyone like they had those happy face like graphs.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So it's like, circle, which one are you feeling today?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Did someone just go through the crowd and like try
- 20:55Speaker 1: and make conversation and everyone's like shut up?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:58Speaker 3: Where they did?
- 20:59Speaker 2: They look at the spot, find numbers and see a
- 21:01Speaker 2: lot of streams for the Smiths.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Fucking love the Smiths.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Oh me too, man, Yeah, it seems as though there's
- 21:07Speaker 2: quite a bit of joy division going on around here.
- 21:10Speaker 1: What's everyone all right? Should we have a meeting? So
- 21:14Speaker 1: this prompts them to start experimenting with what frequencies would
- 21:18Speaker 1: bring out, what responses of course young people. And what
- 21:22Speaker 1: they would do is they would put people in a
- 21:23Speaker 1: room and they would direct this sage radar at that room,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and by altering the frequency impulse of the radar, they
- 21:33Speaker 1: could make a person laugh, cry, angry, or sleepy, and
- 21:37Speaker 1: then the mood of the general base would also change
- 21:41Speaker 1: in accordance.
- 21:41Speaker 3: With some of the background, right radiation.
- 21:44Speaker 2: That's funny though, those are the four those are the
- 21:46Speaker 2: four main things you're trying to do to the enemy. Yeah, yeah,
- 21:49Speaker 2: trying to make them on their period. Make them cry, Yeah.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Make them cry.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Make Yeah, that's it's kind of interesting that they could
- 21:56Speaker 2: dial it in that specifically, and then like, can you
- 21:59Speaker 2: can we make it so it reactivates his gambling problem?
- 22:02Speaker 2: Like how finely could we tune it in?
- 22:04Speaker 1: And what do you do when you have a whole
- 22:06Speaker 1: team of the enemy crying? You can't like run in
- 22:08Speaker 1: and start arresting them because you're going to run in
- 22:10Speaker 1: the direction of that beam also and you're gonna start crying.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd have to get some sort of hazmat suit
- 22:15Speaker 2: and baying at them, you know, so you didn't accidentally
- 22:18Speaker 2: catch bitch itis.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Get in a Faraday cage.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Yes, whoa wow, Faraday cage.
- 22:23Speaker 2: There's a callback that's for the h that's for the
- 22:25Speaker 2: conspiracy BDSM people.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So yeah, this all sounds fake to me.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah, nothing about it. It seems seems super believable. I mean,
- 22:36Speaker 2: I I could believe that they thought they could do
- 22:38Speaker 2: this because they would just run with stupid ideas and
- 22:41Speaker 2: throw money at them, you know, right, Like I would
- 22:43Speaker 2: buy that they maybe they thought they could, like, well,
- 22:46Speaker 2: if we get it in maybe four thirty six. Mega
- 22:48Speaker 2: hurts is the one that makes you shit your pants
- 22:49Speaker 2: and miss your dad, you know, like, yeah I could that,
- 22:52Speaker 2: I could see, but the fact like they're actually doing it,
- 22:54Speaker 2: I'm pulling out.
- 22:54Speaker 1: I'm like yeah, and this like I used to always
- 22:58Speaker 1: say about mk Ultra, like well why did they keep
- 23:00Speaker 1: going if it wasn't working? And then on last episode
- 23:03Speaker 1: I talked about budgets and how times you just spend
- 23:06Speaker 1: the money so you get it again next year.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Oh sure.
- 23:08Speaker 2: And it's like if you've got a cush gig just
- 23:09Speaker 2: giving people LSD and laughing at him, I mean, you
- 23:12Speaker 2: probably grow to love that job.
- 23:14Speaker 1: And it's way more comforting for me to think that
- 23:16Speaker 1: the government was just spinning its wheels that whole time.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Than actually hitting like fucking like like researchable pay dirt
- 23:23Speaker 2: with any of these projects. Yeah, that's that is more
- 23:25Speaker 2: comforting to go like, oh, they're just wasting all of
- 23:28Speaker 2: this fucking blood money they got from the various concurrent
- 23:31Speaker 2: wars as opposed to actually learning how to you know,
- 23:34Speaker 2: make people sad with the at.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Least Manchurian candidates aren't real, yes exactly, but they are,
- 23:41Speaker 1: so whatever the case, the next step was to try
- 23:44Speaker 1: and use the sage to control thoughts, and they were
- 23:48Speaker 1: allegedly able to do this as well, but there's not
- 23:51Speaker 1: a ton of details on exactly how No they did.
- 23:54Speaker 2: That, there's no there's no like, there's no we misfiled
- 23:57Speaker 2: these papers and then they showed up here and they
- 24:00Speaker 2: that that could have been this. It's a lot of
- 24:01Speaker 2: just this is what they say it was, and who
- 24:04Speaker 2: said it. I don't know the first guy with the
- 24:06Speaker 2: fucking angel Fire of the website kind of you know,
- 24:09Speaker 2: it's all passed down from the angel Fire tomes.
- 24:12Speaker 1: And maybe it's addressed in the mon Talk Project book series.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But there's like ten of those books.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's like, who read all of those?
- 24:19Speaker 1: If you think it's.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Like animals for guys that don't bathe.
- 24:22Speaker 1: If you think we have enough of a following for
- 24:25Speaker 1: me to put the time in to read ten books
- 24:27Speaker 1: to research one episode, Oh no.
- 24:30Speaker 3: This ain't Dan Carlin. Yeah, this is Wendy's.
- 24:32Speaker 1: We're gonna have to be putting up like fucking Mark
- 24:34Speaker 1: Maron numbers before I'm doing that.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I haven't read ten books in the last five years,
- 24:39Speaker 2: so I mean, you tell me what's gonna happen there?
- 24:42Speaker 1: I haven't. I didn't realize I was signed up for Audible.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Oh so you got five hundred credits you haven't used.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I had six credits and they emailed me today and
- 24:51Speaker 1: we're like, you can't keep that many credits at once,
- 24:53Speaker 1: which why?
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, this weird sort of like anti like.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I'm hoarding them for the apocalypse.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like those weird defl lation monetary techniques they
- 25:02Speaker 2: use where it was like the older the money your
- 25:04Speaker 2: money is, the less it's worth to try to stimulate
- 25:06Speaker 2: the economy, like back in like you know, like fucking
- 25:08Speaker 2: like the eighteen hundreds or something. I think England did that,
- 25:10Speaker 2: where they're trying to get like things moving up.
- 25:12Speaker 3: It's very strange.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah, because I've had the same I just downloaded a
- 25:15Speaker 1: bunch of shit.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I've had the same fucking email with Audible, and I'm like,
- 25:18Speaker 2: why I bought it? You fuck I bought it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Stop. So it's worth noting that bathing people in microwave
- 25:26Speaker 1: radiation is super dangerous, which is something that.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Anyone whatever, we need more power.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Anyone listening to this would be like, no, they would
- 25:35Speaker 1: have just been giving people cancer and all those people
- 25:37Speaker 1: will be dead by now.
- 25:38Speaker 2: What.
- 25:39Speaker 1: The way this book series addresses this is that some
- 25:43Speaker 1: test subjects were baked. Yeah, like not baked like I
- 25:47Speaker 1: am right now, but like cook from the inside out
- 25:51Speaker 1: by radio waves, and that's called burning radiation. But what
- 25:55Speaker 1: they found is that the back of this radar emitted
- 25:58Speaker 1: non burning radiation, but it also worked in the exact
- 26:02Speaker 1: same way, and that you could use it to control thoughts.
- 26:04Speaker 1: So that's convenient that.
- 26:06Speaker 2: This is literally the explanation they have is a well,
- 26:08Speaker 2: what if we put the batteries in backwards and now
- 26:11Speaker 2: it's a shrink ray, you know, like, yeah, it's like
- 26:13Speaker 2: SpongeBob disx mockiness sort of reasoning.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Turn it around, which even then turning it around, why
- 26:20Speaker 1: are beams going?
- 26:21Speaker 3: Why is it coming out the ass of it?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Nothing on the back that should be shooting beams.
- 26:25Speaker 2: There's an emitter on the front and maybe I mean
- 26:28Speaker 2: right through reflection, it would bounce off a surface and
- 26:30Speaker 2: go behind it. Eventually, it's you know, it's the nature
- 26:33Speaker 2: of light and electricity and everything else, but why would
- 26:36Speaker 2: it do that.
- 26:37Speaker 1: It's a very suspect detail that I feel like someone
- 26:40Speaker 1: added later on down the line. Yeah, when we learned
- 26:43Speaker 1: more about how radiation works, and someone was just like, no,
- 26:47Speaker 1: that would kill everybody. Oh okay, I got it.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah, just like turn it around every time, like, well,
- 26:51Speaker 2: actually the Bible predicted global warming because it mentions fire here,
- 26:54Speaker 2: and it's like, well or are you just trying to
- 26:57Speaker 2: make it seem better?
- 26:58Speaker 1: Right? So event actually this testing, it's alleged progressed to
- 27:04Speaker 1: trying to control and influence large groups all at once,
- 27:09Speaker 1: which army units were brought in for R and R,
- 27:13Speaker 1: which I think means rest and relax ashon.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that, I believe.
- 27:18Speaker 1: And they became test subjects because who wouldn't want to
- 27:22Speaker 1: go hang out on mon talk point? I know, I
- 27:25Speaker 1: mean maybe they have nice beaches. I don't know.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I mean, that's honestly probably still one of the better
- 27:28Speaker 2: getaway spots.
- 27:29Speaker 3: In Long Island.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Oh for sure.
- 27:31Speaker 3: At least there's stuff to do, like be burned inside.
- 27:34Speaker 1: They also tested on people in New Jersey, New York,
- 27:36Speaker 1: and Connecticut, so that's fine.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, get some of those WASPS programs.
- 27:40Speaker 3: New Jersey WASPS.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Programs were written that allegedly allowed for everything from creating
- 27:47Speaker 1: simple mood swings to increasing crime rates, inciting violence and
- 27:53Speaker 1: causing mass panics. And are there no incidents that they
- 27:58Speaker 1: can point.
- 27:58Speaker 2: To yeah, they're not going to be like, Yo, the
- 28:00Speaker 2: La riots, that was us. You know, I could take
- 28:03Speaker 2: credit for something, but like, do you take a page
- 28:04Speaker 2: out of Isis's book here, Cia.
- 28:06Speaker 1: And I like that seems like an easy thing to say, like, yeah,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I'm sure there have been mass panics that are in
- 28:13Speaker 1: the news. They could just tie that, but you don't
- 28:15Speaker 1: get any.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Of that with this, And they're just like it works,
- 28:18Speaker 2: and lord knows, I mean, the population of New Jersey
- 28:21Speaker 2: isn't emotional and quick to act without thinking. There's so
- 28:24Speaker 2: many that you could have any number of demolition derby
- 28:27Speaker 2: shootings could have been a tribute to them.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Bringsteen album out that day. Yeah, people are gonna be
- 28:32Speaker 1: fucking excited in New Jersey.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Maybe I was born to be radiated.
- 28:37Speaker 1: So with that, once they figured out how to control crowds,
- 28:42Speaker 1: they move on to making it more precise, and that's
- 28:45Speaker 1: when the mon talk chair becomes a thing.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah, this is what I read about. This was like
- 28:51Speaker 2: the shit that fucking a young connoric'spaden was into.
- 28:54Speaker 1: It's It's basically a guy sitting in a chair that
- 28:58Speaker 1: is also a device of some yep, and if he
- 29:01Speaker 1: focuses hard enough, he can see what's happening at a
- 29:06Speaker 1: remote location, or possibly enter the consciousness of a person
- 29:11Speaker 1: at another location and control their thoughts and movements.
- 29:14Speaker 3: It's the being John Malkovich chair, right, you know.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And then the version I read whatich again
- 29:20Speaker 2: was on like a Geocity's angel Fire page was about
- 29:23Speaker 2: how he could just make whatever was in his imagination real. Yeah,
- 29:26Speaker 2: sitting in the chair.
- 29:27Speaker 1: That comes up. Also, it's basically the what people say
- 29:32Speaker 1: is the i TT Worldwide Communications Corporation owned by the
- 29:35Speaker 1: Krupp family, was able to turn this previous device into
- 29:40Speaker 1: a mind reading and mind controlled device.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Well, they did it straight on, they did it backwards.
- 29:45Speaker 2: When you go sideways, it reads minds.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Explodes your head if they point it directly.
- 29:49Speaker 2: At and then the other sideways is you get to
- 29:52Speaker 2: be the ben Ten kid and pick what alien you
- 29:54Speaker 2: want to fight as.
- 29:55Speaker 1: And akray one supercomputer. I didn't even know they were
- 29:59Speaker 1: using that phrase. Then, Yeah, was used to turn that
- 30:02Speaker 1: information into something a person could understand. It would read
- 30:06Speaker 1: an electro magnetic field and turn that into something a
- 30:10Speaker 1: person could.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Read, would translate it, right, you know.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And some of the technology used to build this, of
- 30:15Speaker 1: course provided by aliens.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Where else are you gonna get it?
- 30:18Speaker 1: Right? No longer anti Semitic aliens.
- 30:21Speaker 3: No, these are good.
- 30:23Speaker 2: You know, we gave them all that Nazi gold. Globalist
- 30:26Speaker 2: aliens don't want everyone to go.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Along, specifically aliens from the Star System serious, which is
- 30:33Speaker 1: the same Star system that beams new indie rock to
- 30:36Speaker 1: my car radio, which I really appreciate.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the Star System where Howard Stern makes all
- 30:41Speaker 2: the hot four tittied women just sit on sibbian machines
- 30:45Speaker 2: and zero gravity.
- 30:46Speaker 1: And yeah. This device was called the mom Talk chair.
- 30:50Speaker 1: A psychically active person would be placed in the chair
- 30:54Speaker 1: and it would allow them to beam their thoughts to
- 30:56Speaker 1: a remote location.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Like ventriloquism of the brain, right, yeah, and some sort
- 31:02Speaker 2: of mega mind Jeff Dunham.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And these were allegedly people who had undergone rigorous training
- 31:08Speaker 1: through the CIA to become to reach an altered form
- 31:13Speaker 1: of consciousness.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, to steal their their their personality against the terrors
- 31:18Speaker 2: of radiational amplification.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Right. You know, So a normal person couldn't just PLoP
- 31:24Speaker 1: down in the mom talk chair and start projecting their
- 31:27Speaker 1: thoughts out to other people.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I'd be too weak.
- 31:29Speaker 2: I don't even try it, I'd be too weak because
- 31:31Speaker 2: the things that I would be imagining would be like
- 31:33Speaker 2: what if a bald guy was eating your pussy and
- 31:35Speaker 2: you rubbed his bald spot and the magic eight ball
- 31:37Speaker 2: thing showed up and said try again later. Then that
- 31:40Speaker 2: would appear, And then I'd go insay because of how
- 31:42Speaker 2: funny I thought it was, and they'd be like, now
- 31:44Speaker 2: we need some more. We need men made of sterner
- 31:46Speaker 2: stuff than this mcpad and kid.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So this, this device allegedly focused on the primitive mind
- 31:55Speaker 1: as opposed to the conscious mind. It suppressed the conscious mind,
- 31:59Speaker 1: made the primitive mind and more active. The primitive mind
- 32:02Speaker 1: is highly suggestible, very controllable, intends to act by focusing
- 32:06Speaker 1: all its power on a subject, allowing for much greater
- 32:09Speaker 1: displays of power than the conscious mind. Literally, that's how
- 32:13Speaker 1: the secret works.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yeah. Is that just you know, your program.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Behave your subconscious, and your subconscious just brings all that
- 32:21Speaker 1: shit to you.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Yeah, which is like, I guess that's the part of
- 32:24Speaker 2: the brain that you can manipulate. Is just a hungry, horny,
- 32:27Speaker 2: sleepy you know corridor. It's not dealing with you know,
- 32:30Speaker 2: the esoteric nature of life and death and all the
- 32:32Speaker 2: stuff that we have the burden of grappling with is
- 32:34Speaker 2: you know, more evolved, like the forms of intelligence. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 2: but I mean, but how do you fucking how do
- 32:39Speaker 2: you just like put that? How do you make a
- 32:41Speaker 2: USB cable that goes in there and makes monsters real?
- 32:44Speaker 2: Like that's where you live right right.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Elon Musk is working on it.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I hope.
- 32:49Speaker 2: So, I mean, I want to do something fun in
- 32:51Speaker 2: that super tunnel.
- 32:52Speaker 1: So after realizing the mon talk chair worked at least
- 32:56Speaker 1: in terms of beaming thoughts to other places, researchers move
- 32:59Speaker 1: on to a new goal. They want to see if
- 33:01Speaker 1: a person can create a solid object out of thin
- 33:05Speaker 1: air using only their thoughts. And I did not put
- 33:09Speaker 1: the guy's name in the notes.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Let me go find it, Yeah, because that's when you
- 33:15Speaker 2: can just like imagine something and just like bewitched it
- 33:18Speaker 2: wiggle your nose into existence, which is, like, I guess,
- 33:22Speaker 2: with the most outlandish thing, just to operating physical matter
- 33:25Speaker 2: with your your thoughts through some sort of nineteen eighties
- 33:30Speaker 2: radio dish. You know, it's yeah, it seems like like
- 33:33Speaker 2: hacking into you know, the Federal Reserve with a Saga genesis.
- 33:37Speaker 2: It seems impossible, you know, just on site.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Duncan Cameron is the name of the guy who allegedly
- 33:43Speaker 1: was psychically active and did most of the Montalk experiments. Yeah,
- 33:49Speaker 1: from the mon Talk chair.
- 33:51Speaker 2: There's the mister wolf that called in when they needed
- 33:53Speaker 2: to go with the big brain, right, you know, to
- 33:55Speaker 2: come clean up the experiment or the you know, the
- 33:58Speaker 2: science or whatever.
- 33:59Speaker 1: And one of the things he is alleged to have
- 34:02Speaker 1: been able to do was to create objects just by
- 34:06Speaker 1: thinking hard enough. And they talk about like buildings being created,
- 34:11Speaker 1: and it's like, well, take a pic and it's not
- 34:13Speaker 1: like the seventies by now, snap a pick.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we had film, we had all this shit.
- 34:19Speaker 1: You should be able to document all of these things.
- 34:21Speaker 2: There should be a bunch of pictures of guys with
- 34:23Speaker 2: short sleeve white shirts and black ties with glasses and
- 34:25Speaker 2: flat tops going, oh shit, looks like we just became God,
- 34:28Speaker 2: this is problematic.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Everyone's smoking. Yeah, that's the main way to let people
- 34:33Speaker 1: know a workplace is a seventies workplace.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Everyone's smoking is a set designer Adam Todd Brown here. No,
- 34:40Speaker 2: that is always the best is when you're like, man,
- 34:42Speaker 2: we were so good we could figure out how to
- 34:44Speaker 2: split an at him. But we didn't know that inhaling
- 34:47Speaker 2: fucking fire all day, it would be bad.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I'm old enough to have worked at a few places
- 34:51Speaker 1: where you could smoke at your desk. Oh wow, dude,
- 34:54Speaker 1: I had a telemarketing job that was just in the.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Perfect smoking job.
- 34:58Speaker 1: In the back of a room of a like in
- 35:01Speaker 1: the back room of a storefront.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like, and if you're next, it creates oranges.
- 35:05Speaker 1: You know, people fucking smoking like crazy. It was such
- 35:09Speaker 1: a nightmare.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Oh man, that sounds awesome, just making calls, doing a
- 35:13Speaker 2: line every day, that's your sales bell, every time you
- 35:16Speaker 2: actually moved from units you fucking so.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Yeah. This guy was apparently able to create objects out
- 35:23Speaker 1: of thin air. There was also the seeing eye experiment,
- 35:26Speaker 1: in which a subject was given a lock of hair
- 35:29Speaker 1: or other object belonging to another person, and if they
- 35:32Speaker 1: concentrated hard enough, they'd be able to see and hear
- 35:36Speaker 1: everything that person could see and hear, no matter where
- 35:39Speaker 1: that person was.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can kind of hack the uh the
- 35:42Speaker 2: webcam Zuckerberg style of their brain.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Right, and so naturally the next step is going to
- 35:48Speaker 1: be time travel. Of course, where else do you go
- 35:51Speaker 1: once you're sending thoughts across the dimensions. You got to start, dude,
- 35:55Speaker 1: surf that wave and go fucking make some sports gambling money.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Yeah whatever, you know, I love that. Get your parents
- 36:02Speaker 1: to fuck how about I love that. Recently, there's been
- 36:05Speaker 1: a debate breaking out online about the idea of going
- 36:10Speaker 1: back in time and killing baby Hitler.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because Ben Shapiro made some sort of pro
- 36:14Speaker 2: life thing about it, and that's that's a baby Hitler trending,
- 36:17Speaker 2: and I'm like, we got nothing better to talk about.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah, which I do get it, because I know i'd
- 36:21Speaker 1: maybe kill like teen Hitler.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but baby Hitler would be a little that'd be.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Like, how would you do it? Like you have to
- 36:27Speaker 1: think about.
- 36:27Speaker 3: All the fucking I don't know, big Rock.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I guess it'd just be a baby there in front
- 36:32Speaker 1: of you.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah, shot put him. Maybe maybe you steal them and
- 36:36Speaker 2: adopt him and try to raise him good.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Yeah, bring him back. Yeah, get him in art school
- 36:41Speaker 1: and roll him in that fucking thing where you just
- 36:43Speaker 1: have to draw Tippy the turtle. They'll take anybody.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you just you just oh yeah yeah, yeah, the
- 36:47Speaker 2: fucking uh the Maury Povich Commercial Art College. If you can.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Trace this tree, then you can be because so just.
- 36:55Speaker 1: I actually I sent one of those in once, like
- 36:58Speaker 1: no f my twenties. In this traveling salesman showed up.
- 37:02Speaker 1: He had to be like seventy years old. Oh sad,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and was real like I almost did it because you
- 37:07Speaker 1: I assume you do learn some decent stuff about drawing.
- 37:10Speaker 2: I'm sure.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure.
- 37:11Speaker 1: It was like one hundred and fifty dollars a month,
- 37:13Speaker 1: and I did not have that time. This was like
- 37:15Speaker 1: late nineties. I also sent one in when I was eight.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and they were like you're eight, good keep
- 37:23Speaker 1: it up slogan.
- 37:24Speaker 2: They send you that note that's supposed to go in
- 37:25Speaker 2: the back of your book about all your success later
- 37:28Speaker 2: on or whatever.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Because they would when you sent those in, they would
- 37:30Speaker 1: actually give you notes and send it back to you.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Yeah. They were like you're eight, you can't enroll.
- 37:35Speaker 1: But also like you're shading here was off.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It's like, fuck you a mate, Hey, remember where the
- 37:40Speaker 2: light's coming from coming out of my ass? F I'm
- 37:43Speaker 2: fucking I don't even know fractions yet, dick.
- 37:45Speaker 1: So with the mon talk chair, they eventually turn it
- 37:49Speaker 1: into a time travel device. Yeah, as the story goes,
- 37:52Speaker 1: sure and subjects were able to open portals to any
- 37:57Speaker 1: point in history just by concentrating on the eight they
- 38:00Speaker 1: wanted to go to.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Which Again, if that's your like, fucking GPS is just
- 38:04Speaker 2: thinking really hard about March seventh, nineteen fifty five. That
- 38:08Speaker 2: seems improbable, right, And with that the project becomes Phoenix three.
- 38:14Speaker 2: I think they pushed the franchise one too far if
- 38:18Speaker 2: I'm being honest. Yeah, Bill and Ted's excellent teleportation adventure
- 38:24Speaker 2: for sure.
- 38:25Speaker 1: And from nineteen eighty one to nineteen eighty three, the
- 38:28Speaker 1: project focuses solely on exploring time itself.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of meat on the bone there, that's
- 38:33Speaker 2: you can probably cover all the time.
- 38:35Speaker 1: In two years, researchers kidnapped large numbers of homeless people
- 38:38Speaker 1: as test subjects.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Now this part I believe, yeah, that this is right
- 38:43Speaker 2: out of the playbook.
- 38:44Speaker 1: And if the next sentence was that's why the institutionalization happened,
- 38:48Speaker 1: because we needed this crop of homeless people that we
- 38:50Speaker 1: could focus on this project.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Hey, Rich, I would set you free up some crazies.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I would one hundred percent agree that that's probably when you.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Cook the books a little bit on human suffer so
- 39:00Speaker 2: we can make a space chair will Okay, I'm rattled
- 39:04Speaker 2: red and I'm in and I'm here to tell you
- 39:07Speaker 2: about bacon and crack.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Nothing tastes better than bacon.
- 39:11Speaker 1: So they research, the researchers kidnap all these people and
- 39:16Speaker 1: just send them through time travel ports.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Imagine being a homeless and then all of a sudden,
- 39:21Speaker 2: your fucking Cleopatra has a scimitar at your throat and
- 39:25Speaker 2: where did you get these garments you're wearing? And he's good,
- 39:29Speaker 2: but banana, But you can't even talk to anyone in
- 39:31Speaker 2: his time.
- 39:32Speaker 1: But how many times have we read stories about a
- 39:34Speaker 1: homeless dude who gets arrested and police are like, he
- 39:36Speaker 1: said he was here from the year two thy forty four.
- 39:40Speaker 2: I know it makes you think, like, are they were
- 39:43Speaker 2: we just mon talking them all over the place? Canaries
- 39:45Speaker 2: in the coal mine of fucking time.
- 39:49Speaker 1: If they returned, they were to report on what they saw.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Most of them did not return.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Oh no way.
- 39:56Speaker 1: So you're just stuck in a different time as a
- 39:59Speaker 1: homeless per impossibly in a time where they're like, what's
- 40:02Speaker 1: a homeless person?
- 40:03Speaker 2: Now? You have to go to the only time it's
- 40:04Speaker 2: worse to be a homeless person in the past. Second
- 40:07Speaker 2: worst place is right now, h third worst place fucking
- 40:10Speaker 2: of Magna Carta, England.
- 40:12Speaker 1: It's also claimed that large numbers of children, all males
- 40:16Speaker 1: between the age of ten and sixteen, and all with
- 40:19Speaker 1: stereotypical aryan traits, were sent to the year sixty thirty
- 40:24Speaker 1: seven AD to investigate a ruined city and more specifically
- 40:29Speaker 1: a horse statue that was there. That's got to be Denver,
- 40:33Speaker 1: gotta be. There's no other place that has to be.
- 40:35Speaker 2: That's the probably one of the biggest statues of a
- 40:37Speaker 2: horse in the world for sure.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Right, you know, And how comforting is that that is
- 40:42Speaker 1: not till like six thousand that we have to go
- 40:44Speaker 1: fucking look into that.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean, like the idea that we still
- 40:47Speaker 2: if the if the cities are crumbling at four thousand years,
- 40:49Speaker 2: it's a pretty good run for us.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Yeah we did, all right, Yeah, uh, but that's got yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: that's got to be Denver. That's got to be Warhorse.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Good for you, warhorse still standing in sixty thirty seven?
- 40:59Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, Why didn't that thing collapse?
- 41:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, fucking we're talking superior conspiracy engineering.
- 41:07Speaker 1: So let's talk about the end of the mom Talk project.
- 41:10Speaker 1: It finally ended August twelfth, nineteen eighty.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Three, when Yoko came around.
- 41:16Speaker 1: Which you'll note is August twelfth is the date that
- 41:21Speaker 1: the original Philadelphia Experiment happened. Yeah, nineteen forty three.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so they wanted it. They really. They're into just
- 41:27Speaker 2: like clean forty year anniversaries, you know, right, like the
- 41:30Speaker 2: Sergeant Pepper re issue twenty years ago today.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Oh wow, look at that.
- 41:34Speaker 1: And on that date a portal was opened that connected
- 41:37Speaker 1: mom Talk Base with the USS Eldridge forty years in
- 41:41Speaker 1: the past during the original Philadelphia Experiment. Sure, and for
- 41:46Speaker 1: some reason, it's at this point that people working on
- 41:49Speaker 1: the project became uncomfortable with its goals and decided to
- 41:53Speaker 1: throw a wrench in the gears. I can't believe this.
- 41:56Speaker 1: This story is about to get crazier. Oh yeah, it's
- 41:59Speaker 1: we're almost done. We've covered so much crazy shit and
- 42:02Speaker 1: it's just about.
- 42:03Speaker 2: To get We've already reached enders game five even more
- 42:08Speaker 2: homophobic condition, you know, and now it's like, where do
- 42:11Speaker 2: we go?
- 42:11Speaker 3: How do you escalate? But they do it.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So the when this wormhole opens to the original Philadelphia Experiment,
- 42:20Speaker 1: everyone decided. Someone on the base decides this is too much,
- 42:23Speaker 1: we have to shut it down. And the way they
- 42:25Speaker 1: do that is to whisper some unknown phrase into the
- 42:29Speaker 1: ear of Duncan Cameron, who is the one who had
- 42:32Speaker 1: opened this portal, and this code phrase caused Cameron to
- 42:36Speaker 1: release a monster from his subconscious Yep, the creature named
- 42:41Speaker 1: the Beast from the Id materialized as a large, hairy
- 42:46Speaker 1: monster that smashed its way around the base and ate
- 42:50Speaker 1: everything in its path.
- 42:52Speaker 2: Now, if you can imagine twelve year old me reading
- 42:54Speaker 2: this and going it has to be true.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And but at this point, project members start cutting cables
- 43:02Speaker 1: and conduits in an attempt to sever power to the
- 43:06Speaker 1: base and shut down the project.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I remember sending this exact story to like this girl
- 43:11Speaker 2: I liked that I was emailing with, and she's like,
- 43:13Speaker 2: what are you doing over the summer? I was like,
- 43:14Speaker 2: I've been reading about this, you know, no idea that
- 43:17Speaker 2: that's not what you sent to a girl you like.
- 43:21Speaker 1: And so once they're able to shut everything down, apparently
- 43:24Speaker 1: the monster disappears. I guess that's.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it goes back to the Landavid.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Sure, and a year later, a team of black Berets,
- 43:33Speaker 1: which that just sounds ominous. Oh yeah, we know, the
- 43:36Speaker 1: Green Berets are the ones we always think of as
- 43:38Speaker 1: the good guys. What do the black Berets do?
- 43:40Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, secret shit like this, They're like fucking
- 43:43Speaker 2: uh you know, or Section thirty one in Star Trek.
- 43:45Speaker 2: They just they do all the sketchy shit, right.
- 43:48Speaker 1: And they were sent into the mon Talk base with
- 43:51Speaker 1: orders to shoot anything that moved after that they cleared.
- 43:55Speaker 1: After they cleared the base.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Fortunately this was after the Ferbie craze and it led
- 43:59Speaker 2: to a lot of accidental deaths.
- 44:02Speaker 1: A second team moved in to remove any equipment deemed
- 44:05Speaker 1: too sensitive to abandon. The underground chambers were sealed and
- 44:09Speaker 1: eventually filled with cement. Base was abandoned and donated to
- 44:12Speaker 1: the State of New York as a park.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and I remember the website that I was reading
- 44:16Speaker 2: back in the days about this guy who's like I
- 44:18Speaker 2: went hiking there and I wish I had my camera,
- 44:21Speaker 2: But I swear to god, three black helicopters start hovering
- 44:25Speaker 2: right above me, and I start running away.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I was like, WHOA, why wouldn't you take your camera there?
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, man, I wish that guy had
- 44:31Speaker 2: his camera because that's definitely real.
- 44:35Speaker 1: So yeah, this is I feel like most of the
- 44:38Speaker 1: information out of the last two episodes is mostly made up.
- 44:42Speaker 1: It feels that way.
- 44:43Speaker 2: It feels dubious to even call it information. Most of
- 44:48Speaker 2: the it's fan fiction. This is government fan fiction, right,
- 44:52Speaker 2: But hey, I fucking it's cool.
- 44:55Speaker 3: That would be cool, you know.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, we know the mom talk base is real,
- 44:59Speaker 1: it's out there.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but if is this what happen? I mean, did
- 45:01Speaker 2: they try to do like? I like, the most I
- 45:03Speaker 2: would believe is that they tried to do this, like
- 45:05Speaker 2: some dumb shit thought they could do this.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Yeah, And I wouldn't doubt that we have some of
- 45:10Speaker 1: our radar dodging technology that we have now out of
- 45:14Speaker 1: experiments like this.
- 45:15Speaker 2: But oh yeah, and there's all kinds of stuff with
- 45:17Speaker 2: that that's all very real, you know.
- 45:19Speaker 1: But the time travel thing, the mom talk chair, it
- 45:23Speaker 1: just all sounds a little crazy.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just bringing things into being that. Yeah, I mean
- 45:27Speaker 2: there's just stuff that I like, I don't think you
- 45:30Speaker 2: can do that with a you know, a computer as
- 45:33Speaker 2: powerful as you know, a fucking dreamcast. I think you
- 45:35Speaker 2: got to have something a little bit stronger, Like I
- 45:38Speaker 2: just don't think, like, you know, there's certain things where
- 45:40Speaker 2: it's like, oh, we're definitely way further along.
- 45:42Speaker 3: But it's like if if.
- 45:44Speaker 2: You could do this back then, some guy with a
- 45:47Speaker 2: raspberry pie and a neck beard would have figured it out.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Naw right, you know, we'd.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Have a version of it for sure. That's what the
- 45:53Speaker 1: three D printer is.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd be able to bit torrent some sort of
- 45:55Speaker 2: teleportation mod for your Steam accounts or something.
- 45:58Speaker 1: What if every three D or is connected to some
- 46:01Speaker 1: fucking dude sitting in a mon talk chair who's just like, no.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Just shitting out little uh fucking tamagotchi trinkets I can.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Printing out Homer Simpson statues and shit, he.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Just farts and then some guys are gone. You're like, oh, okay,
- 46:13Speaker 2: I guess that's where it comes from.
- 46:14Speaker 1: So that's that's the mon Talk project in the Philadelphia Experiment. Uh,
- 46:20Speaker 1: that's our episode.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a fun one.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I like the nice one. I like the ones that
- 46:24Speaker 2: aren't real. So you don't have to feel too terrified, right, Yeah.
- 46:26Speaker 1: It doesn't make me afraid to walk outside.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't make me afraid of dust reading my
- 46:32Speaker 2: mind like some of our other shows.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Yeah. So, uh, this is a free episode. Don't forget.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You can get bonus episodes on patreon dot com. Slash
- 46:41Speaker 1: on Pops just five dollars a month to get bonus episodes.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Of this and I believe that gives you access to
- 46:46Speaker 2: about ninety five hours a day of shows. It's pretty
- 46:49Speaker 2: good deal. It's probably the best deal on Patreon. I
- 46:51Speaker 2: would say we crank it out.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Yeah for goddamn sure, and uh, come to the un
- 46:57Speaker 1: Pops Live stand up show every last Saturday of the
- 47:00Speaker 1: month at Hollywood Hotel. We haven't booked the February show yet,

- 47:22Speaker 2: listeners last time I was up there. And I always
- 47:24Speaker 2: bring people presents if they come see me or whatever.
- 47:27Speaker 2: I give him a little goodies, so oh if that
- 47:29Speaker 2: sweetens the deal. And I do like to meet people.
- 47:31Speaker 2: It's fun, so I'll be there I'll bet the Comedy
